- 1:28Speaker 2: dudes and tights beat the shit out of each other
- 1:30Speaker 2: once a week. It's okay, we're all different, We're all
- 1:34Speaker 2: awesome in our own way. Ooh, a little bit of
- 1:41Speaker 2: the bubbly. I am drinking bubbly shocking sparkling water, but
- 1:48Speaker 2: I'm doing their melted ice pop and I can say
- 1:51Speaker 2: it just tastes like a very much water down rispberry,
- 1:56Speaker 2: which is okay, I love the raspberry one, but literally
- 1:59Speaker 2: just taste like I opened a bubbly raspberry poured in
- 2:04Speaker 2: a glass with ice and the water somehow or the
- 2:08Speaker 2: ice dissolved into the water. What just makes sense? Like
- 2:11Speaker 2: wouldn't just be ice dissolving into water and resolving into water? Yeah?
- 2:15Speaker 2: You ever ever had like a like a soda, like
- 2:18Speaker 2: a soft drink, a pop? You know which, By the way,
- 2:20Speaker 2: can I'm gonna put that really quick to rest the whole.
- 2:23Speaker 2: It's soda, it's pop, it's a soft drink, it's a
- 2:28Speaker 2: carbonated beverage. I've never called them soda pops. I mean,
- 2:31Speaker 2: I've always gone back and forth. You know what I
- 2:33Speaker 2: call them? I call them whatever the fuck it is.
- 2:35Speaker 2: I don't go, can I get a soda? Hey? Hey?
- 2:37Speaker 2: Uh hey, click any clack? Can I get a Can
- 2:40Speaker 2: I get a soda? Hey? O g Patron, you got
- 2:42Speaker 2: any coke zeros in the fridge?
- 2:43Speaker 1: No?
- 2:43Speaker 2: I go, hey, Shagzilla, can I get a mountain dew?
- 2:48Speaker 2: You know, I just call them by what they are
- 2:49Speaker 2: because I have a you know, because I have a
- 2:51Speaker 2: preference I have I have this particular taste. I know
- 2:53Speaker 2: what I want. Damn it. Sue me anyway, m hmmm,
- 3:00Speaker 2: oh okay, yeah, well right into it. So we're doing
- 3:04Speaker 2: two slorps here me be kind of a little bit
- 3:06Speaker 2: of a short reisode to day, but not that much longer.
- 3:08Speaker 2: I said that anyway. I said that last week on
- 3:09Speaker 2: Everyone was like an over, like an hour wance thanking
- 3:11Speaker 2: for that AnyWho. I'm just rambling on here, ladies fashion.
- 3:16Speaker 2: I've been doing this podcast for like four fucking years now,
- 3:19Speaker 2: three years, fuck it anyway now four yeah, four years,
- 3:26Speaker 2: which is crazy to say. So if you've been a
- 3:30Speaker 2: listener to this show for a while, for so thank you. Secondly,
- 3:33Speaker 2: you probably know by now about the yes I'm talking
- 3:36Speaker 2: about to talk about you. Funny how he's in here,
- 3:39Speaker 2: he creates I know, really really I know that. Do
- 3:47Speaker 2: you want me to pick you up? Well, okay, come here,
- 3:51Speaker 2: hold on, Jesus Christ, right on Q two. Man, I
- 4:00Speaker 2: want to about to talk about you. You just have
- 4:02Speaker 2: to come in here. Just hat to interrupt, Just happy
- 4:05Speaker 2: hat TAPU interrupted show. Anyway, Let me get back to
- 4:09Speaker 2: the mike here, so any of you know by now
- 4:13Speaker 2: listen to the show for a while. Again. Thank you,
- 4:15Speaker 2: My wonderful cat. Oliver almost eleven years old, my special
- 4:19Speaker 2: special boy. He has an anxiety separation issue. Very bad
- 4:24Speaker 2: is my bed like to say. He is on a
- 4:27Speaker 2: prescribed medication food what ends soft. Recently he's no longer
- 4:32Speaker 2: liked his wet food. He barely touches it, just eat
- 4:34Speaker 2: dry food, which is also not good for your cats
- 4:36Speaker 2: because well drive food really doesn't have much to hydrate them.
- 4:39Speaker 2: So he's been blankfully though. He's been drinking wine with
- 4:41Speaker 2: a champ. So you know. He likes to pee on
- 4:44Speaker 2: the bed and I have adult sheets for people that
- 4:49Speaker 2: be the bed. No, not myself or my wife or
- 4:51Speaker 2: actually even our dog. I mean, he has a couple
- 4:53Speaker 2: of times but he's a pop He's done in a while,
- 4:55Speaker 2: thankfully not on wood. No, he likes to p on
- 4:58Speaker 2: my side of the bed. Is a way to say
- 4:59Speaker 2: somebody wrong. Dad came home visiting my wife, and I
- 5:03Speaker 2: can honestly say them ten years we've had him, this
- 5:05Speaker 2: is the worst it's ever been, to the point where
- 5:06Speaker 2: I finally said fuck it. And I talked about this before,
- 5:08Speaker 2: and yes, Ladi, entlemen, I did it. I had an
- 5:11Speaker 2: animal whisper. An animal whisper communicated with my two cats,
- 5:18Speaker 2: and I thought maybe like my friend of a friend's
- 5:20Speaker 2: story where it's like they literally said like, yeah, they
- 5:22Speaker 2: saw that the one a person had a pink colar
- 5:25Speaker 2: and they want a pink collar, or I thought maybe
- 5:27Speaker 2: would just be like yeah, Dad, i hate Star Wars,
- 5:29Speaker 2: or stop watching wrestling, or Dad, you don't drink soda anymore?
- 5:33Speaker 2: Just pop or fux s. Yeah I did right there,
- 5:35Speaker 2: damn it. According to this and all disclosure, I really
- 5:41Speaker 2: did appreciate the time that they gave me last weekend.
- 5:45Speaker 2: I really do. They took everything seriously, asked really good
- 5:48Speaker 2: question and stuff like that, said some things to kind
- 5:51Speaker 2: of freakment, which I get to in a minute. According
- 5:55Speaker 2: to them, my cat. The reason he is and doing
- 6:00Speaker 2: this all this time, you know he's about to eat
- 6:02Speaker 2: my headphones, jackass, it's because he thinks I'm stressed. Ladies,
- 6:08Speaker 2: John in this wonderful canting, do I sound stressed? No,
- 6:14Speaker 2: I don't sound stressed. What stresses me out is one
- 6:18Speaker 2: of my cat peas on the bed, or pease on me,
- 6:20Speaker 2: or peace on my wife, or just peas on the
- 6:21Speaker 2: door like Flare does occasionally. Yes, Bob, do you want
- 6:25Speaker 2: to put into the mic. They're probably not going to
- 6:28Speaker 2: hear that. I'm not to play the shit out of
- 6:31Speaker 2: this audio AnyWho. So, according to them, just because he
- 6:35Speaker 2: he is stressed because he thinks I'm stressed because the
- 6:38Speaker 2: day we got Flair, he associates that with stress. Because actually,
- 6:42Speaker 2: the day we got Flair, my wife had no idea
- 6:44Speaker 2: At the time my mom and pops dog Peyton had
- 6:47Speaker 2: passed away, and that was a dog I grew up with,
- 6:49Speaker 2: and that was really hard on me. The day literally
- 6:53Speaker 2: she got Flare as a surprise for us, she had
- 6:56Speaker 2: no idea at the time she was getting him that
- 6:59Speaker 2: pain I passed away literally that day. So, according to them,
- 7:03Speaker 2: Oliver associates Flair was stressed and I was. So they
- 7:07Speaker 2: live together, so that happened really nice. Gave me some
- 7:15Speaker 2: advice on things I could try with him to calm
- 7:19Speaker 2: him down and all that stuff, so I do it.
- 7:21Speaker 2: I am very grateful for their time and appreciative. I
- 7:24Speaker 2: think they crew me out, though, so I try my
- 7:28Speaker 2: best not to give too much away. When I sent
- 7:31Speaker 2: the general inquiry, if you will, to this individual and
- 7:35Speaker 2: I after we did the whole like, here's what I
- 7:40Speaker 2: recommend or what they said, Here's what they recommend, Here's
- 7:43Speaker 2: why he's peen, here's why acts like this, YadA YadA, YadA,
- 7:48Speaker 2: weird even thing we did it over zoom, and as
- 7:53Speaker 2: soon as they started talking about Oliver, Oliver came running
- 7:56Speaker 2: to the computer. So I don't know if they had
- 7:57Speaker 2: that cat whistle that's even a fucking thing, but came
- 8:00Speaker 2: run right to the computer, which was kind of creepy.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Although anytime Calin's on the phone, one of the cats
- 8:05Speaker 2: who her runs up, usually Flair, but Albert does every
- 8:08Speaker 2: so often. The other freaked me out though it was
- 8:11Speaker 2: two things. One I mentioned obviously some family members, but didn't.
- 8:15Speaker 2: I didn't get to two enough of their relationship with
- 8:18Speaker 2: the cats, and they said that they particularly like my
- 8:23Speaker 2: sister in law and my father in law, which obviously
- 8:26Speaker 2: for me, is creepy because well, they're here quite often
- 8:29Speaker 2: because you know, we're doing some stuff in the house,
- 8:31Speaker 2: and uh yeah, they actually do enjoy their company, So
- 8:35Speaker 2: that creaked me out. The other thing form now was
- 8:37Speaker 2: I simply asked, hey, we have a dog. We watch
- 8:39Speaker 2: dogs every now and then, what is their opinions on dogs,
- 8:44Speaker 2: to which they said they don't really have an opinion
- 8:46Speaker 2: on dogs, they don't mind dogs. And then what really
- 8:48Speaker 2: creaked me out was they said they really do enjoy
- 8:52Speaker 2: though this one dog you watch in particular, that is
- 8:55Speaker 2: the older of all the dogs you watch, and if
- 8:57Speaker 2: you listened to show before, you've always he heard the
- 8:59Speaker 2: Tale of Lucy, And uh yeah, that create me the
- 9:02Speaker 2: fuck out because literally Lucy came that day and like
- 9:04Speaker 2: after Lucy came, the cats have been chill. So really
- 9:11Speaker 2: creeped me out. Was a humbling, humbling It was an
- 9:15Speaker 2: interesting experience. I don't regret it. I'm not gonna say who,
- 9:22Speaker 2: but I really do appreciate your time, as I've already
- 9:25Speaker 2: said that, so time it's into it. I guess now
- 9:29Speaker 2: we just get into that. So, yes, I had a cat.
- 9:30Speaker 2: I had an am whisper talk to me about my
- 9:33Speaker 2: cat's problems. Now did they gave me a solution? I
- 9:36Speaker 2: was hoping to hear not. They literally said the one
- 9:37Speaker 2: thing I'm like, don't say has something to do with
- 9:40Speaker 2: my wife or I like in terms of our addic
- 9:42Speaker 2: to anything like that, because I believe we've doing Our
- 9:44Speaker 2: cats are great home. We're all pretty positive. We try
- 9:47Speaker 2: to best out to bring our work home and sometimes
- 9:49Speaker 2: it's inevitable. But to the point where it's like they're
- 9:51Speaker 2: doing this all the time. No, So yeah, so see
- 9:55Speaker 2: what happens with the things he recommended? So say tuned
- 9:58Speaker 2: with that? Anyho get into it? So uh, double whammy.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Today we're doing a super review for Ballerina or let
- 10:07Speaker 2: me you know he's not here, quickie clack. Let me uh.
- 10:11Speaker 2: I want to make sure I get the title right
- 10:13Speaker 2: of this movie, because this is the actual title I believe,
- 10:16Speaker 2: all right. It is called If you type in Ballerina movie,
- 10:21Speaker 2: it's a Google the movie. It's not the Balleria movie.
- 10:25Speaker 2: It's the literal. I guess technically you could if they
- 10:29Speaker 2: were too. If this movie were to be nominated for
- 10:32Speaker 2: an oscar. They couldn't just go Ballerina. They actually would
- 10:35Speaker 2: have to say the name of the movie from the
- 10:39Speaker 2: world of John Wick Ballerie. Okay, so anyway, movie I
- 10:50Speaker 2: was gonna say, and the armis, I mean it is
- 10:53Speaker 2: her movie, Ballerina starting out at armis. What can I
- 10:58Speaker 2: say other than this is a movie about a girl
- 11:01Speaker 2: in the John Wick universe. She kills everyone in her path.
- 11:08Speaker 2: And it's your classic eighties nineties action hero movie that
- 11:16Speaker 2: where your protagonist has this one thing they're trying to
- 11:19Speaker 2: accomplish and they're gonna cover gets in their way, like
- 11:22Speaker 2: what working ask for that? The kills were insane, And
- 11:24Speaker 2: I will say this one thing. It wasn't just like
- 11:26Speaker 2: John work where in every movie he's in like, yeah,
- 11:28Speaker 2: there's sometimes he's fighting admirable foes and stuff like that,
- 11:30Speaker 2: but you know he's gonna come on top. Buto. But
- 11:35Speaker 2: like in this one, they literally there's a port there's
- 11:38Speaker 2: a part where that's like a movie or a song
- 11:41Speaker 2: comes up off fighting like a girl. She's trying to
- 11:43Speaker 2: fight like a girl because she smawlned everyone else, and
- 11:45Speaker 2: she uses her size not to her advantage, but she
- 11:49Speaker 2: uses her her opponent size to a vanag where the
- 11:51Speaker 2: way she kills him, which is like, hey, that that's fine.
- 11:54Speaker 2: I don't want to be where it's like, oh, hey,
- 11:55Speaker 2: I'm anata armists. I'm five foot five or four, and
- 11:59Speaker 2: I wait, one hundred pound soaking wet and your brock lessner,
- 12:02Speaker 2: but we're gonna be equals. No, it's nothing like that,
- 12:04Speaker 2: Like she struggles a lot fighting, but then the way
- 12:09Speaker 2: she kills the people bigger than her, it's not just interesting.
- 12:14Speaker 2: I mean it's interesting, but it's it's interesting, but it's
- 12:16Speaker 2: also different because it's not just like I'm gonna shoot
- 12:19Speaker 2: you and call today. It's like, oh, like she killed
- 12:21Speaker 2: the guy by boiler. Uh. There was literally there's literally
- 12:25Speaker 2: one part where she's stuck in a weapons store and
- 12:29Speaker 2: she can't find it for some reason. The one the
- 12:32Speaker 2: one time in john Wick universe she no one person
- 12:34Speaker 2: could find a fucking gun, so she uses a grenade
- 12:38Speaker 2: belt to kill like eight guys, but she uses a
- 12:39Speaker 2: grenade for each individual. It was fucking wild. It's like,
- 12:42Speaker 2: how the fuck did you not die? But they kind
- 12:45Speaker 2: of in movie logic kind of made it make sense
- 12:47Speaker 2: of how she didn't die, so it's like, okay, whatever,
- 12:51Speaker 2: if you all saw the movie, you'll probably remember that.
- 12:53Speaker 2: You'll you'll know I'm talking about when you see, uh
- 12:56Speaker 2: it's the Grenade and a wooden table. Pretty fucking violent.
- 13:01Speaker 2: John Wick obviously is in the movie. He's in a
- 13:03Speaker 2: lot more than you think he would be. But I
- 13:05Speaker 2: will say the one thing I do appreciate about this
- 13:08Speaker 2: is they made him feel like the Boogeyman because there's
- 13:12Speaker 2: literally one part I'm not gonna get to it where
- 13:14Speaker 2: literally he's just killing dudes and they're about these guys
- 13:17Speaker 2: about to go upstairs, like come on, and some guy goes,
- 13:20Speaker 2: fuck no, that's John Wick. Twitch and John Wick just
- 13:25Speaker 2: starts to fucking murdering now. So yeah, it was good.
- 13:31Speaker 2: Is it going any oscars? Probably not. Is there a
- 13:35Speaker 2: lot of action? If anything, the most story this movie
- 13:37Speaker 2: really has is in the first twenty minutes where you're
- 13:39Speaker 2: learning about her. Her name is I believe in It's Eve,
- 13:43Speaker 2: I believe. But yeah, is it a good It's a
- 13:48Speaker 2: great action flick. I think everyone enjoyed. You don't need
- 13:52Speaker 2: and here's the thing, you don't need to see any
- 13:54Speaker 2: to the other John Wicks to understand it. I mean,
- 13:56Speaker 2: obviously you want to see John Wick one because you
- 13:58Speaker 2: under you can understand the Laura about like how the
- 14:00Speaker 2: whole world works, if that makes sense. But like I
- 14:07Speaker 2: believe it. They said it takes place between three and four,
- 14:10Speaker 2: but you other than you don't need to see any
- 14:13Speaker 2: other ones. Obviously, if you see the other ones, you'll understand,
- 14:15Speaker 2: you'll know who the characters are a little bit better.
- 14:17Speaker 2: But I feel like they actually did a good job
- 14:20Speaker 2: explaining who the people in the movie were, even if
- 14:25Speaker 2: you didn't see it, even even John Wick. But it's like,
- 14:29Speaker 2: you're obviously here to see this movie if you know
- 14:30Speaker 2: John Wick. But like even the way they explain who
- 14:34Speaker 2: John Wick was, it was one of those words where
- 14:37Speaker 2: I go, you didn't have to see the first movie
- 14:39Speaker 2: understand who he was. Obviously if you did, it obviously
- 14:42Speaker 2: added more to it and then enjoyed the people in
- 14:44Speaker 2: there were people had saw John Wick, and I can
- 14:47Speaker 2: tell you there was a lot of groans and oh
- 14:49Speaker 2: shits and all that stuff from everyone that I saw
- 14:51Speaker 2: it with. So it wasn't a pack theater. But yeah,
- 14:56Speaker 2: so I would give it a because I am a
- 15:05Speaker 2: guy who likes high point it. I like when you
- 15:11Speaker 2: make movies or shows that connect to one another, even
- 15:14Speaker 2: they are prequels. Kind of you kind a little bit
- 15:16Speaker 2: for showing for and or hearing a little bit. I'm
- 15:20Speaker 2: going to give it a six out of ten. And
- 15:22Speaker 2: the only reason and they're like, well six out of ten,
- 15:23Speaker 2: this is something that great. No, no, no, it's a good
- 15:25Speaker 2: six out of ten. If that makes any sense is
- 15:30Speaker 2: they didn't they didn't try to do this a crazy
- 15:34Speaker 2: insane story. You knew why she was killing it, you
- 15:37Speaker 2: know what she was doing, what her goal was, why
- 15:39Speaker 2: she was doing it. It is as I don't and
- 15:43Speaker 2: now I'm basic as an insult. It is flat out
- 15:45Speaker 2: as easy as can possibly be in terms of understanding, like,
- 15:48Speaker 2: here's the plot, here's what it is. You can do.
- 15:50Speaker 2: You can literally say the plot in two in two sentences.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Guy kills girl's father, she bet she trains for years
- 15:57Speaker 2: and wants revenge. Is that fucking simple? And there's like
- 16:01Speaker 2: two like little subplots on the side that connect, but
- 16:04Speaker 2: they're really not that big of a deal in terms
- 16:06Speaker 2: of getting it from the main point in the movie.
- 16:09Speaker 2: And it's great. The two criticisms I had would be
- 16:15Speaker 2: one going back to the whole like connectivity, was they
- 16:19Speaker 2: essentially staidish that she is um not gonna saying no
- 16:21Speaker 2: one is equal to john Wick, but she essentially is
- 16:24Speaker 2: a very skilled assass center person. And if you were,
- 16:33Speaker 2: let's just say this, if you were never to see
- 16:35Speaker 2: any of the john Wicks and maybe kind of like
- 16:38Speaker 2: kind of like how some people do now with Star Wars,
- 16:40Speaker 2: you were to watch them actually in the number order
- 16:42Speaker 2: now in the way that George Lucas made it. You
- 16:44Speaker 2: would watch john Wick one through three, then you watch Ballerina,
- 16:48Speaker 2: and then you would watch john Wick four, and your
- 16:49Speaker 2: question would go, why isn't she in this movie? Obviously
- 16:53Speaker 2: four was maybe before Ballerina, but just with the way
- 16:56Speaker 2: things came together, you'd be like, I mean, it would
- 17:00Speaker 2: make sense for her to kind of be in there
- 17:02Speaker 2: to maybe kind of help some people out. But it
- 17:05Speaker 2: is what it is. That's the only thing. I'm like, Okay,
- 17:10Speaker 2: that's different, but hey, it is what it is. Yeah,
- 17:14Speaker 2: that's the one. And then the other I said that, yeah,
- 17:16Speaker 2: and then oh so spoilers. The head of the I
- 17:25Speaker 2: forget what. I forget what it's called what they call themselves,
- 17:29Speaker 2: a Ballerina, John Wick and all of them. I forgot
- 17:31Speaker 2: what the house is called Essentially, the head director sends
- 17:38Speaker 2: john Wick to a killer because she is killing without
- 17:41Speaker 2: She's killing her own. She's not doing for a job
- 17:43Speaker 2: or assassinator, and she's just killing these people on her
- 17:45Speaker 2: own to get to the guy that killed her dad.
- 17:47Speaker 2: That's literally the movie. And john Wick shows up, they
- 17:51Speaker 2: have like a quick five minute fight where john Wick
- 17:54Speaker 2: is just overpowering the shit out her, but she's holding
- 17:56Speaker 2: her own a little bit. But then he's the shooter.
- 18:00Speaker 2: But then he like, I don't know, I say, has
- 18:02Speaker 2: a change of heart. He just like lets her go.
- 18:06Speaker 2: And it wasn't like she said, here's this noble reason
- 18:12Speaker 2: why I'm doing it. She did say why she you know,
- 18:14Speaker 2: he killed my father. But it's like how many people
- 18:17Speaker 2: have has john Wick killed for? I want to say more,
- 18:20Speaker 2: but for less. Essentially, I just feel like it was
- 18:22Speaker 2: just like okay, but also apparently two with how bad
- 18:26Speaker 2: these people were, it's like, yeah, they never were mentioned
- 18:28Speaker 2: like in the the first three movies, Like, for example,
- 18:32Speaker 2: if I make the Star Wars, what a fucking nerd
- 18:34Speaker 2: shuck all three of the movie. The first three movies,
- 18:37Speaker 2: they would sometimes mention the Clone Wars, be like what's that?
- 18:39Speaker 2: But like they didn't go much into it. They just
- 18:42Speaker 2: they would say the Clone Wars thing, and then the
- 18:46Speaker 2: Clone Wars came out and it just made this thing
- 18:48Speaker 2: you heard of in a much bigger deal. But in
- 18:52Speaker 2: this movie, you have these guys who have x'es essentially
- 18:56Speaker 2: branded to their wrist, and there are these ruthless, awful
- 19:00Speaker 2: people who kill essentially just for sport, not for for
- 19:04Speaker 2: you know, for assassins or just for like for the
- 19:07Speaker 2: better of the community. No, they just killed for sport.
- 19:10Speaker 2: That's all it is. These kids are born in the
- 19:12Speaker 2: village and they're trained just to kill for fun. That's all.
- 19:14Speaker 2: It is a bunch of fucking serial killers running around,
- 19:17Speaker 2: and you're just like hus like these we never mentioned
- 19:21Speaker 2: the first movies because the way they try, they try
- 19:23Speaker 2: to make it seem like this is like a huge
- 19:24Speaker 2: like war or truth set's going on, and it's like,
- 19:29Speaker 2: I feel like that would have been brought up once,
- 19:31Speaker 2: but hey, it is what it is. But I just
- 19:33Speaker 2: felt like john Wick also just like started killing or
- 19:36Speaker 2: you didn't kill her just because she made some one comment,
- 19:38Speaker 2: and it's like we can't have from the same cloth
- 19:41Speaker 2: or from the same house. That's fine, but it just
- 19:44Speaker 2: I feel like I was. I feel like I was
- 19:45Speaker 2: looking for someone more, if that makes sense. But that's
- 19:47Speaker 2: just me. But that's not as that's not as ingregious
- 19:49Speaker 2: or as my biggest biggest comment being the whole like
- 19:53Speaker 2: she wasn't even mentioned in for that I'm thinking about it.
- 19:57Speaker 2: So that's my one, right, But I'm mean to take
- 20:00Speaker 2: with you guys. But the second grade, that's just me
- 20:02Speaker 2: being picky. So yeah, so six out of ten, you
- 20:06Speaker 2: know I'm gonna get seven out of ten. Yeah, six
- 20:09Speaker 2: isn't sound good. Seven sounds like I genuinely enjoy this movie.
- 20:13Speaker 2: The worst part about it was literally, I'm not gonna
- 20:16Speaker 2: get into it. The movie chain I saw it at.
- 20:19Speaker 2: It's been the news just meek because they added they
- 20:21Speaker 2: announce they're adding more commercials, so it kind of that
- 20:23Speaker 2: kind of gives it away right away. And there were
- 20:27Speaker 2: these two older gentlemen not too far from me that
- 20:30Speaker 2: literally they literally had to stop watch on their phone
- 20:33Speaker 2: time to see how long the commercials were from the
- 20:35Speaker 2: time of the movie's supposed to start to when actually
- 20:37Speaker 2: started twenty six minutes according to their how much. I
- 20:41Speaker 2: didn't get there at right when it started, because it's
- 20:45Speaker 2: a thing that it's a well knowttle thing that like
- 20:46Speaker 2: movies don't start. Movie says it starts seven thirty. No,
- 20:51Speaker 2: probably starts at like seven to fifty, and I get it.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Move there's gotta make their money. But it's like really
- 20:55Speaker 2: twenty minutes of commercials. If I want that, I'll go
- 20:58Speaker 2: home and watch it on streaming. So anyway, move along.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Second third, I've been talking about I need the moisture.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Ah let me yi Yeah, season two of vander Where Aware?
- 21:25Speaker 2: Where do I begin with this show? Hmmm? A lot
- 21:41Speaker 2: of people have said this is the best Star Wars
- 21:44Speaker 2: thing since the trilogy. I would agree. The only thing
- 21:52Speaker 2: is I'm a gigantic fan of the first two seasons
- 21:55Speaker 2: of vandal Mandelorian Mandalorian because I love the whole Lord
- 22:00Speaker 2: spying the Mandalorian culture. But this is on par with
- 22:03Speaker 2: the best of the best Star Wars. I am a
- 22:07Speaker 2: huge not critics as clearly can I say on here, which,
- 22:13Speaker 2: by the way, let me go back to for a second.
- 22:15Speaker 2: Clearly like would have been this podcast. Obviously on this
- 22:18Speaker 2: podcast we talk about mental health. He's fine, sha paraphrase
- 22:24Speaker 2: that before I say it, Uh, he's fine. He literally
- 22:28Speaker 2: went to Mexico to visit some long family hasn't seen forever.
- 22:31Speaker 2: And plus he's like, I just need to get out
- 22:32Speaker 2: of here and visit some family. And I was like,
- 22:36Speaker 2: I don't know why. You gotta justify the MEI and like,
- 22:37Speaker 2: go fucking do it. Sounds like a great ass fucking time,
- 22:40Speaker 2: you know, just getting going going twenty twenty five is
- 22:42Speaker 2: getting his fucking passports and just this in fucking Japan.
- 22:45Speaker 2: Now he's in Mexico. What more do you want than that?
- 22:47Speaker 2: So plus also but not giving him shit, give him
- 22:51Speaker 2: some shit. So Clickicke like you're listening. I love you,
- 22:55Speaker 2: but fuck you. Dude sends me a message saying don't
- 22:59Speaker 2: spoil door. I haven't seen it, and I literally responded
- 23:02Speaker 2: if I had, I should be taking screenshots. A lot
- 23:04Speaker 2: of times I said, hey, I haven't watched it yet,
- 23:07Speaker 2: fake fan, what the fuck? Fake fin? So I love Everyboddy,
- 23:11Speaker 2: but fuck you?
- 23:17Speaker 3: Uh anyway, No, so it honestly, and I've said my
- 23:27Speaker 3: one criticism I have of Star Wars is sometimes I
- 23:29Speaker 3: feel they keep it too linear.
- 23:30Speaker 2: They keep the focus just on these main characters. And
- 23:33Speaker 2: not that we don't want that, but it's like if
- 23:36Speaker 2: Marvel has taught us anything, you can expand and create
- 23:39Speaker 2: these other side quest, side stories, side characters that can
- 23:42Speaker 2: actually become just as big as a thing. Henceforth, Guardians
- 23:46Speaker 2: of the Galaxy. People don't remember I mean every Yeah, Ironman,
- 23:51Speaker 2: Captain America. They're big deals now. But when the movies
- 23:53Speaker 2: came out, everyone's like, oh, okay, you're gonna do a
- 23:55Speaker 2: movie that Iron Man. I'm like, okay, And now that's
- 23:59Speaker 2: like regard by something that was like the best superhero
- 24:01Speaker 2: movie of all time, Like it's just just shit like that.
- 24:03Speaker 2: And that's why I feel like everyone loved the Manula
- 24:06Speaker 2: when it first came out, because it was something new,
- 24:08Speaker 2: with something different. It wasn't the same old luke, I'm
- 24:11Speaker 2: your father made it, forced pep with you. It was like,
- 24:14Speaker 2: here is a different culture, different characters, different stories up
- 24:19Speaker 2: mandal about these people in the Star Wars universe or galaxy.
- 24:22Speaker 2: You rather excuse me, how rood of me? And then yeah,
- 24:25Speaker 2: there are some characters from the original thing that occasionally
- 24:28Speaker 2: you might see, but they make it make sense and
- 24:30Speaker 2: I can appreciate that. And they're doing more and more things,
- 24:33Speaker 2: which is why I Rogue one is my second fair
- 24:35Speaker 2: at Star Wars than Hope, New Hope. I said it
- 24:39Speaker 2: with and or season one, I thought, I think I
- 24:41Speaker 2: probably I probably get a ten. I can't remember it,
- 24:44Speaker 2: but I just said my one. Here's the thing I remember,
- 24:49Speaker 2: I said, I just I'm curious to see how they're
- 24:50Speaker 2: gonna go into because everyone knows how this how this ends.
- 24:53Speaker 2: For and Or you've seen Rogue one, obviously everyone knows
- 24:56Speaker 2: how it ends. So how are you going to entice
- 24:59Speaker 2: us to watch this show and go through it when
- 25:06Speaker 2: we know how it ends? And of course they fucking
- 25:08Speaker 2: did it, because this show's a masterpiece. It really is.
- 25:13Speaker 2: It really went into that whole thing of what I
- 25:17Speaker 2: want where show me these jack ass politician scumbags and
- 25:24Speaker 2: the Empire scheming and doing this shit. And here's a
- 25:27Speaker 2: funny thing too, they're all trying to this is all
- 25:29Speaker 2: the same thing. This is the funniest part. They all
- 25:32Speaker 2: have the same goal to rule the galaxy. But they're
- 25:35Speaker 2: not afraid to fuck one another figuratively and literally too,
- 25:40Speaker 2: to fuck one another to get ahead, to do what
- 25:42Speaker 2: they want to do, all to impress the Emperor, all
- 25:45Speaker 2: to get their five fifteen minutes of fame and shit,
- 25:50Speaker 2: just to say fuck you, I did this not you.
- 25:53Speaker 2: They really showed that obviously WROG with Krenic, but like
- 25:56Speaker 2: just the way that all the Empire likes generals I
- 25:59Speaker 2: figure with Hell they're called like whatever they are. Sorry,
- 26:03Speaker 2: my brain's a little fuck. I worked U before I
- 26:05Speaker 2: did the podcast. But they're doing all these like schemy
- 26:08Speaker 2: things where it's like they're all secretly like like really
- 26:10Speaker 2: fucking each other over without realizing. It's like you're all
- 26:13Speaker 2: trying to like you're all trying to like rule the
- 26:14Speaker 2: gaxyre right, like say fuck the rebels, Like what the fuck?
- 26:16Speaker 2: Like you're all like literally there's like scenes where, for example,
- 26:19Speaker 2: uh oh, hold on, I'm sorry, Charlie, but you're a
- 26:24Speaker 2: giant Star Wars fan, Like how do you not know
- 26:27Speaker 2: their names and shit? Like you know I do. But
- 26:31Speaker 2: it's like, damn when there's like a hundred fucking characters
- 26:34Speaker 2: in uh the show. Per example, okay, uh de dra
- 26:42Speaker 2: uh who worked for the ISB, the Paral Security Bureau.
- 26:49Speaker 2: You know she eventually starts dating uh oh, the hell's name,
- 26:57Speaker 2: it's gonna bug me hold on, Dedra boyfriend, Cyril, That's
- 27:06Speaker 2: what it was, Cyril. Like the first season, Cyril got
- 27:11Speaker 2: fucked over by the Empire because he was too prideful.
- 27:16Speaker 2: And then this show season two, you kind of got
- 27:21Speaker 2: these weird I hate to say almost kind of like
- 27:23Speaker 2: sex between Dedra and Cyril, which eventually then at least
- 27:26Speaker 2: a second two where they're dating. And then there's like an
- 27:28Speaker 2: awkward dinner they have with their mom where Errol goes
- 27:30Speaker 2: to like land the bed just to like take a
- 27:33Speaker 2: deep breath because he's just he's just so awkward. He's
- 27:35Speaker 2: just so weird out. But the whole situation like his
- 27:36Speaker 2: girlfriend me and his mom and deeedre goes sent to
- 27:40Speaker 2: his mom, fuck you, I'm gonna make him a man
- 27:42Speaker 2: now or some shit. It was really it was again
- 27:45Speaker 2: everyone just everyone's just power hungry assholes. Perfect example. I'm
- 27:49Speaker 2: not getting too much into it. Again, this is a
- 27:51Speaker 2: show I would say you gotta watch if you don't
- 27:54Speaker 2: like Star Wars or you do, like that's the thing.
- 27:57Speaker 2: You don't even have to like Star Wars. This is
- 28:00Speaker 2: just a good ass show. That's the problem. It's just
- 28:06Speaker 2: such a good show. But all these cares trying to
- 28:09Speaker 2: fuck each other over and then like all like I
- 28:12Speaker 2: think it's I was I think it was like twelve
- 28:13Speaker 2: episodes maybe it was ten or twelve, but like, there's
- 28:16Speaker 2: something the highest ranked television episodes of all time, and shit,
- 28:21Speaker 2: i'll just get into it. Luthen typical, get a fucking
- 28:25Speaker 2: Scars guard and the show is awesome right by the way.
- 28:32Speaker 2: But the thing, the two things I love the most
- 28:35Speaker 2: about this show, because I know we're about half hour
- 28:39Speaker 2: in here on the ice, it'sna be a short one today.
- 28:41Speaker 2: So three things I'm gonna take that back. Three things
- 28:45Speaker 2: I love about the show. One there's actually two parts
- 28:48Speaker 2: of My lights for no lightsabers at all in this show.
- 28:53Speaker 2: And there were no of the big Star Wars characters
- 28:59Speaker 2: other than the people and like the show, like critic
- 29:03Speaker 2: obviously and or Man Mathma Luthan, none of the Vaders,
- 29:07Speaker 2: Palpatines and all that shit. No we're in the show,
- 29:11Speaker 2: and I like, now it's five So no lightsabers, none
- 29:14Speaker 2: of the big none of the big you know hanchos
- 29:16Speaker 2: were in the show. Three they made the Emperor seem
- 29:20Speaker 2: like a son of a bitch in this entire show
- 29:25Speaker 2: because he mind all these all these is SB guys
- 29:27Speaker 2: are trying to fuck one or they're trying to fuck
- 29:29Speaker 2: each other over. They're all they're all there. They're all
- 29:31Speaker 2: the same end goal though, the best of the empire
- 29:34Speaker 2: and impressed the emperor, but they're all not afraid to
- 29:37Speaker 2: fuck each other over. And that goes back to Ddro
- 29:39Speaker 2: and Cera, where essentially Dre and Serial are dating. They're
- 29:43Speaker 2: essentially on Gorman to harvest what they say, Oh, it's
- 29:47Speaker 2: it's a count spiders. It's not the count spiders. No,
- 29:50Speaker 2: I didn't freak out because because the empire's fucking liars
- 29:53Speaker 2: of bullshitters, there were no spiders. They were just saying
- 29:56Speaker 2: just to throw off the public. It was like like
- 29:59Speaker 2: the Kaimer crystals, they can use it for the desk there.
- 30:01Speaker 2: But give mind. Cerrio and Dedre are dating, and Dedre's
- 30:05Speaker 2: on this planet and Cereal goes there, he'sn't gonna go
- 30:07Speaker 2: with my gal, but or Dedra sends Rio there just
- 30:11Speaker 2: to use him as a lackey, just so that he
- 30:13Speaker 2: can tell her things about what's going on the planet
- 30:15Speaker 2: and like what the what the rebels? Essentially you're doing there.
- 30:18Speaker 2: But he thinks he's there for a big mission or
- 30:21Speaker 2: to impress the empire to also help his his love. No,
- 30:27Speaker 2: she's using him, He has no idea. And then when
- 30:30Speaker 2: he finds out right, when he finds out, he confronts her,
- 30:33Speaker 2: almost kills her, but then he leaves, he lets her go,
- 30:35Speaker 2: which is really really fucking wild cave mind all thiss
- 30:38Speaker 2: just on Dizzy plus by way, I'm not gonna get
- 30:39Speaker 2: to the second episode with what happened with uh mixed.
- 30:43Speaker 2: It's controversial, but it added to the story. I do
- 30:47Speaker 2: appreciate the fat they put the warning out beforehand, and
- 30:49Speaker 2: then uh yeah, after Steril almost kills Ddra. The massacre,
- 30:53Speaker 2: the Gorman massacre, Like God, that's the thing that's gonna
- 30:56Speaker 2: talk about in Star Wars, like twenty years from now.
- 30:57Speaker 2: The Gorman Massacre, Episode eight, what happened. Cyril's out there
- 31:01Speaker 2: in the middle of this fucking plaza or this place
- 31:05Speaker 2: of like worship. All these people are dying. The Empire
- 31:08Speaker 2: is killing all these civilians stuff like that, and they're
- 31:10Speaker 2: shooting back and all the shit, and Sarah essentially thinking like,
- 31:13Speaker 2: oh shit, he's gonna defect from the Empire, sees and
- 31:17Speaker 2: door and goes full ape shit and tries to kill them.
- 31:22Speaker 2: The whole time you're thinking, oh, man, Cyril might be
- 31:25Speaker 2: coming over. I guess we might have a defector and
- 31:27Speaker 2: then the second he sees and Or, the guy who
- 31:29Speaker 2: fucked his whole life in the season one, fuck that,
- 31:31Speaker 2: and he just goes full blitz and tries to kill Andor.
- 31:33Speaker 2: And then some random guider shoots Cyril in the back
- 31:35Speaker 2: of the head because he saw him try to kill Andor.
- 31:40Speaker 2: And it was just it was one of those shows
- 31:41Speaker 2: where like it was literally like Game of Thrones if
- 31:45Speaker 2: you didn't read the books. Every it was like, don't
- 31:48Speaker 2: get too a tech with a character because you don't
- 31:50Speaker 2: know if they're gonna die. And that happened to literally
- 31:53Speaker 2: almost everyone in this show. So yeah, lightsabers being in here.
- 32:00Speaker 2: I love that none of the big hat cheese heads
- 32:05Speaker 2: or chee thats, fuck the Jeesus packers, uh, none of
- 32:08Speaker 2: the big people on the show. I loved the whole
- 32:14Speaker 2: I just love how much they made the Emperor seem
- 32:17Speaker 2: like he was just this asshole, which he was because
- 32:20Speaker 2: they're all trying to please him. I love how all
- 32:22Speaker 2: the IP guys are trying to fuck one of the
- 32:24Speaker 2: over and then lastly, so obviously you've seen Rogue one spoiler,
- 32:29Speaker 2: you know how it ends Jenner, So casting and Or
- 32:34Speaker 2: they get the plans to the rebellion. Fortunately, the death
- 32:37Speaker 2: Star shoots a tiny like a like a mini like
- 32:41Speaker 2: a mini shot just to destroy the base in the Beacher,
- 32:44Speaker 2: and they perish. They die. Season one ends, or two
- 32:51Speaker 2: ends rather where and Or essentially it's like the start
- 32:54Speaker 2: of Rogue one, he's going on a ship and he's
- 32:56Speaker 2: gonna fly to where he's gonna meet this guy in
- 32:58Speaker 2: some random place just to get information about the weapon
- 33:02Speaker 2: because something. But at the end of the season two,
- 33:03Speaker 2: which I like, they never say the weapons the death
- 33:06Speaker 2: Star is real. They're just fed information that the weapon's
- 33:09Speaker 2: being created, but they don't know what it is. And
- 33:12Speaker 2: Rogue one, it's just like you watch for what it
- 33:14Speaker 2: makes you appreciate it because you're like, oh, like, they
- 33:16Speaker 2: never say flat out this thing's real. At the end
- 33:18Speaker 2: of season two, even half the rebels are like, I
- 33:20Speaker 2: don't believe you. That seems like that seems like how
- 33:23Speaker 2: that's not that. Of course that's fake. It has to
- 33:25Speaker 2: be fake. So and Or goes to fly and get
- 33:31Speaker 2: this information. In the starting Rogue one, it ends with
- 33:35Speaker 2: his girlfriend who left him because she says, I can't,
- 33:37Speaker 2: I can't, I can't do this anymore. I don't want
- 33:40Speaker 2: to be part of the rebellion, and she goes, you'll
- 33:42Speaker 2: never and she goes, well, you'll never be out of
- 33:44Speaker 2: this until it's over. So she goes, come find me
- 33:46Speaker 2: when it's done. And it ends by her showing that
- 33:51Speaker 2: she's holding his kid and that she was pregnant and
- 33:55Speaker 2: he had no idea. And if you're a film not
- 33:58Speaker 2: like I am, the way they show her and the kid,
- 34:01Speaker 2: the exact way they showed and Or and Jin and
- 34:03Speaker 2: dying if they end a Rogue one. And I'm not
- 34:06Speaker 2: afraid to say that as a man, I fucking lost
- 34:09Speaker 2: sick because I went son of a bitch, never got
- 34:14Speaker 2: to meet his fucking kid, had no idea, had a kid,
- 34:18Speaker 2: said his beautiful wife goes on and goes on says,
- 34:20Speaker 2: I can't be part of the war anymore. I'm sorry.
- 34:22Speaker 2: And realistically it was just because she's trying to protect
- 34:24Speaker 2: the son that they they created, and he had no idea,
- 34:30Speaker 2: and then you find out that he dies or then
- 34:32Speaker 2: then he dies in a rogue one. And if you
- 34:34Speaker 2: go watch from right from the season two of Van
- 34:37Speaker 2: do Or go und to Rogue one. Never met his kid.
- 34:43Speaker 2: And the thing I like, that's why I like about
- 34:45Speaker 2: Star wars is especially with this show is it really
- 34:52Speaker 2: expanded the lore, expanded the whole actual like what was
- 34:56Speaker 2: going on with this intense war? And again it was
- 35:01Speaker 2: you don't don't get attacked because you don't know who's
- 35:03Speaker 2: gonna die. And a lot of people died in all
- 35:06Speaker 2: these episodes. The only person you knew for sure that
- 35:10Speaker 2: wasn't gonna die was and Or because he's in Rogue one.
- 35:13Speaker 2: That's it. That's it. Even some of the characters I mentioned,
- 35:18Speaker 2: I'm not gonna say who is I'm gonna I'm encouraging
- 35:22Speaker 2: people to go watch his show. Some of the people
- 35:27Speaker 2: in the show to even die. But some of the
- 35:29Speaker 2: people who did die, You're go, wow, really Now obviously
- 35:35Speaker 2: it's like, well they weren't in the other movies and ship, Well,
- 35:37Speaker 2: it's like that doesn't matter, you know what I mean,
- 35:41Speaker 2: doesn't matter. You don't know that, you know what, they
- 35:45Speaker 2: can bring them back or something like that. Hell, they're
- 35:46Speaker 2: making a Ryan Gosling movie right now where it takes
- 35:48Speaker 2: takes place five years Afred episode nine. Who the fuck
- 35:50Speaker 2: does this gonna be in that movie? Just because it's oh,
- 35:52Speaker 2: it's it's right after Ray Skywalker. Ray doesn't has to
- 35:55Speaker 2: be in it. That's why I appreciate it. Is like
- 35:57Speaker 2: what they're doing with and again up here, I'm the
- 36:00Speaker 2: one to attack me what Disney I'm saying, is doing
- 36:02Speaker 2: with Star Wars. They're expanding the universe, They're making it larger,
- 36:08Speaker 2: They're creating more characters, which is all we could ask for.
- 36:14Speaker 2: Do I want to become as blow as Marvel has
- 36:16Speaker 2: become a photors when people say no, the problem I
- 36:19Speaker 2: had with Marvel and you have all these scenes going on,
- 36:22Speaker 2: and I think it's actually easy to follow if you
- 36:24Speaker 2: actually just take the time to watch it. They don't
- 36:28Speaker 2: like about Marvel, as I said with the Thunderbolts sort review,
- 36:30Speaker 2: which I really enjoyed that movie is seems like out
- 36:33Speaker 2: of every project, if they were to do four projects,
- 36:36Speaker 2: one or two of them would take place in New York.
- 36:39Speaker 2: But yet none of these people in New York ever
- 36:41Speaker 2: run into each other. That's just the problem I have
- 36:44Speaker 2: with it. While in Star Wars you have endless possibilities
- 36:47Speaker 2: because it's like every new production they make they come
- 36:50Speaker 2: up with like five new planets. Same with Skeleton Crew.
- 36:55Speaker 2: I love Skeleton Crew. I thought it was way way
- 36:57Speaker 2: exceeding my expectation, but this was just honestly, I said,
- 37:02Speaker 2: like it, It's easily in my top five shows I've
- 37:04Speaker 2: ever seen. And it sucks because you know it's over,
- 37:07Speaker 2: because you know it goes right to Rogue one. But
- 37:09Speaker 2: now it makes you appreciate Rogue one. And yeah, Star
- 37:12Speaker 2: Wars is on this weird like uh oh kind of
- 37:16Speaker 2: like as we said with when the whole Star Wars
- 37:18Speaker 2: and the Kathleen Kennedys came with Star Wars on this
- 37:20Speaker 2: huge high right now, the and Or is a huge hit.
- 37:24Speaker 2: It's broken all these great records for Disney Plus and
- 37:27Speaker 2: apparently a lot of marketing records too, not just just
- 37:29Speaker 2: in terms of streaming. Rogue one is like one of
- 37:32Speaker 2: the top most viewed things down on Disney Plus. There's
- 37:36Speaker 2: the Battlefront three movement going on where everyone keeps putting
- 37:40Speaker 2: make Battlefront three on all these random videos, news columns.
- 37:44Speaker 2: Uh Ballfront two is having all time record hot into
- 37:48Speaker 2: for its own game, not for like just any game
- 37:51Speaker 2: all time like player counts according to many sources, and
- 37:55Speaker 2: like people playing e A and shit like that. And
- 38:00Speaker 2: then also, yeah, Revenge of the Sith came out for
- 38:02Speaker 2: his twenty anniversary recently, and it's just like Star Wars
- 38:08Speaker 2: can be fun, Star Wars can be cool, Star Wars
- 38:10Speaker 2: can be in that Star Wars is supposed to be
- 38:14Speaker 2: in that discussion of like, oh hey, when it comes
- 38:16Speaker 2: to culture, like what do you gotta what? It was like,
- 38:18Speaker 2: what do you gotta watch? Like right now, I won't say, like,
- 38:20Speaker 2: oh yeah, Game of Thrones, Last of Us, although I
- 38:24Speaker 2: would seen them apparently in a season two and Too Hot,
- 38:26Speaker 2: But like there's all these things that like when it's like, oh,
- 38:31Speaker 2: like like what do I have to watch? Would say, oh,
- 38:32Speaker 2: you gotta watch marmal or oh, hey, you gotta watch
- 38:37Speaker 2: I apologize his name for his name anything I believe
- 38:40Speaker 2: it's Taylor Sheridan Wright from Landman and then The Yellowstone
- 38:47Speaker 2: or anything anything HBO you gotta watch, Like Star Wars
- 38:50Speaker 2: should and should be in that conversation. And there's some
- 38:53Speaker 2: times where it isn't isn't and sometimes it's justified sometimes
- 38:56Speaker 2: not just personally speaking, but it just shows that like
- 39:00Speaker 2: when it just it just shows it also shows the
- 39:01Speaker 2: power of television because two months ago we're talking about
- 39:05Speaker 2: Kathleen Leve and that was the only thing people we
- 39:07Speaker 2: gonn talking about. Stars celebration, and now Star Wars is
- 39:11Speaker 2: having records of themselves and everything from their video game
- 39:16Speaker 2: that came out fucking ten years ago or eight years ago,
- 39:19Speaker 2: their TV show and Or is a huge hit. A
- 39:22Speaker 2: movie that came out I actually like ten years ago.
- 39:26Speaker 2: You know, it was a related to that TV show
- 39:28Speaker 2: is like the number one stream thing on their platform,
- 39:30Speaker 2: and it were broken all these streaming records and marketing
- 39:32Speaker 2: records there. And then the movie that came out twenty
- 39:35Speaker 2: years ago, people were you know, it made a lot
- 39:40Speaker 2: of money. Star Wars can be cool. Star Wars is cool,
- 39:48Speaker 2: So we'll see what happens. But yeah, and Or for me,
- 39:54Speaker 2: it's at ten out of ten and I can't. I can't,
- 39:56Speaker 2: and people like my wife, it can be hard to follow.
- 40:00Speaker 2: It is literally it is like Game of Thrones, where
- 40:02Speaker 2: if you walk out for two minutes, you miss the episode.
- 40:06Speaker 2: Because there are a lot of characters, there are a
- 40:08Speaker 2: lot of subplots, there are a lot of things that
- 40:10Speaker 2: are going on. Obviously for me, I'm just like like
- 40:13Speaker 2: I'm glued to the television, like I'm not like I'm
- 40:14Speaker 2: not breathing. It's like, oh my god, this it's so good.
- 40:17Speaker 2: A way what's wrong? Oh right, I need to breathe
- 40:18Speaker 2: like it's just I'm just like that. But like again,
- 40:22Speaker 2: it's it when a show is like that, like Game
- 40:25Speaker 2: of Thrones, where it's like if you walk out or Sopranos,
- 40:27Speaker 2: you walk out of the room and you miss something,
- 40:29Speaker 2: it's like, hey, why Tony wat that guy? All he
- 40:32Speaker 2: did was pick up the phone. He picked up with
- 40:33Speaker 2: his left hand though, just shit like that. It was
- 40:36Speaker 2: just the littlest things. It just made a huge difference.
- 40:38Speaker 2: And that's what I love about shows like that. So
- 40:40Speaker 2: I love that show, the Penguin show. You know, as
- 40:45Speaker 2: I said, how are you gonna make a show where
- 40:46Speaker 2: you're gonna want us to support a guy who is
- 40:49Speaker 2: literally a bad guy in the in a Batman movie
- 40:53Speaker 2: by having him go against other bags? So yeah, uh,
- 41:00Speaker 2: and Or for me's ten out of ten. I know,
- 41:01Speaker 2: I originally said that Penguin was my show of the year.
- 41:06Speaker 2: See it's when I do Penguin or and Or becauseecically,
- 41:09Speaker 2: I mean, while Penguin to come out, I believe last year.
- 41:11Speaker 2: Technically it's in that Emmy category. I'm just going and
- 41:14Speaker 2: Or just off of it being Star Wars. But obviously
- 41:19Speaker 2: I would need to see Penguin if they do do
- 41:21Speaker 2: season two, which now ers they're going to to see
- 41:24Speaker 2: where that goes. And obviously going inside the Batman do
- 41:27Speaker 2: because you have and or it goes into Rogue one.
- 41:30Speaker 2: So yeah, it's tough. It's tough. But like I it's
- 41:33Speaker 2: just weird because like I said, I'm not a TV guy,
- 41:35Speaker 2: I'm a film guy. You know, I do. I watch.
- 41:41Speaker 2: I watch a lot of movies. I don't want a
- 41:43Speaker 2: lot to tell it. I love I love trying to
- 41:44Speaker 2: I love seeing it. I love seeing a story come
- 41:46Speaker 2: together into two and a half hours from beginning to end.
- 41:50Speaker 2: While TV shows have more freedom, a little or a
- 41:54Speaker 2: little more leeway because they can do these stories in
- 41:58Speaker 2: eight forty five one hour episodes, so which means you
- 42:05Speaker 2: can add more, you can have more of these little
- 42:06Speaker 2: side quests and sub stuff, which I do, which I
- 42:08Speaker 2: do appreciate. So but yeah, I just saw this show
- 42:12Speaker 2: was amazing. I hope it wins all the awards. And
- 42:16Speaker 2: now that discuss the Elf in the Room does is
- 42:19Speaker 2: this where Kathleen leaves and I go by all accounts
- 42:21Speaker 2: she's leaving at the end of the year, but the
- 42:23Speaker 2: end of summer and there's some article that came out
- 42:24Speaker 2: said that, like, they probably have replacements lined up. It's
- 42:33Speaker 2: not just one person. It doesn't just take one person
- 42:35Speaker 2: to make a movie. Everyone talks about Kevin Figi. Obviously
- 42:41Speaker 2: not everything they've made has been a slam dunk. It's
- 42:46Speaker 2: just unfortunate with the gravitas, the the aura, oh god,
- 42:53Speaker 2: the aura that comes around Star Wars. It's just a
- 42:55Speaker 2: lot of things have been more put in a linelight
- 42:56Speaker 2: because of how much people want it, also because of
- 42:58Speaker 2: how much thing have not come to fruition by led reports.
- 43:03Speaker 2: So I'm hopeful. I mean, the last two months of
- 43:08Speaker 2: Star Wars have just been fantastic. Well again, we'll see
- 43:12Speaker 2: what happens the end of the year. Do I think
- 43:17Speaker 2: she leads for the end of the year. I do,
- 43:21Speaker 2: But and I'm a person who respects her career because
- 43:23Speaker 2: I mean, you've heard other podcasts I've said too. If
- 43:27Speaker 2: there's a mount rushmore, she's on it. In terms of
- 43:29Speaker 2: producing Spielberg's Color of the Goat, George Lucas handpicked her
- 43:36Speaker 2: for this job. When Disney bought it, you got that
- 43:40Speaker 2: choice and he hand picked her well, Plus she was
- 43:42Speaker 2: already working for them before. But when Disney got it,
- 43:46Speaker 2: he hand picked her to be the one to lead it.
- 43:49Speaker 2: That was his choice. There's not much more of a
- 43:55Speaker 2: reference or what's it called? Uh, I can't think of
- 43:58Speaker 2: the word. Everyone else I'm talking about too, some of
- 44:00Speaker 2: the bitch referral like you can't ad for a better
- 44:05Speaker 2: you know, pat in the back, like, hey, yeah, this
- 44:07Speaker 2: is this is who I want. This is what the recommendation,
- 44:09Speaker 2: This is who I want. This is who needs to
- 44:11Speaker 2: lead the ship after I go, And they obliged, and
- 44:17Speaker 2: we got what we got. When she goes, we'll I'll
- 44:20Speaker 2: definitely do like a whole like all right, cool, Kathleen
- 44:22Speaker 2: has left, thank you for everything. Yeah, the best look
- 44:24Speaker 2: in your future of nevers because she's not she's not retiring,
- 44:27Speaker 2: she's not. She's way too good at what she does.
- 44:29Speaker 2: But all right, here is the best and worst of
- 44:33Speaker 2: this and then so but that's anything. I'm a professional
- 44:37Speaker 2: wrestling fan. I can I can do best of worse
- 44:39Speaker 2: the last week and for two hours, so at any rate, yeah,
- 44:45Speaker 2: ten out of ten for me, I top five shows
- 44:47Speaker 2: ever seen. It literally is such a good show. And
- 44:52Speaker 2: like I said, even you don't like Star Wars, you
- 44:54Speaker 2: can watch it. And that's the end. And that's the
- 44:56Speaker 2: thing that the guy who wrote this name is Tony
- 44:57Speaker 2: Garroid's a phenomenal writer. He is not a Star Wars guy.
- 45:02Speaker 2: He's not a Star Wars fan. He literally just having
- 45:06Speaker 2: to write a phenomenal show that takes place in Star
- 45:08Speaker 2: Wars universe. Like that's that's how. That's good writing, that's
- 45:11Speaker 2: good television. So we'll see what happens with obviously, because
- 45:17Speaker 2: he he says no ties to sit, work with stick
- 45:19Speaker 2: with Star Wars and work with it. See what happens
- 45:22Speaker 2: when he leaves, and like what happens. And that's the thing.
- 45:24Speaker 2: These are the kind of shows that are good though,
- 45:25Speaker 2: because like it makes other people like Dave Filoni, Jovin
- 45:28Speaker 2: Fabre who write Mandalorian, Ahsoka and all these other shows
- 45:32Speaker 2: to work harder. Again, I enjoy these shows. I love
- 45:36Speaker 2: these shows. I love these movies. But you watch a
- 45:39Speaker 2: show like and Or and Skeleton Crew, two clearly different shows,
- 45:47Speaker 2: both good shows, but two cularly different shows. So what
- 45:56Speaker 2: the fuck is my kid doing? All right? Anyway, probably
- 45:58Speaker 2: didn't hear that anyway any rate. Yeah, we'll get out
- 46:03Speaker 2: of here forty five. That's fine, no big deal. I
- 46:06Speaker 2: want to thank you all for joining us this evening.
- 46:09Speaker 2: I really do appreciate your support so far. Please reach

- 46:58Speaker 2: Gets my voice little you remember Little Horse right now.
- 47:00Speaker 2: But it's good. It gets the muscles going, gets them
- 47:02Speaker 2: worked up plus up. It's also ten fifteen tired. But yeah,
- 47:08Speaker 2: it's a it's a good time to be a star
- 47:09Speaker 2: Wars fans, a good time just to be alive. It's
- 47:11Speaker 2: good time just to be good, you know. Don't read
- 47:13Speaker 2: into too much other bullshit. We're it control the control.
- 47:16Speaker 2: Don't worry about two billionaires find each other on Twitter.
- 47:19Speaker 2: It's not gonna help, it's not gonna it's not gonna
- 47:20Speaker 2: improve your day. It's not gonna do have any benefit
- 47:22Speaker 2: to you. Just do what you gotta do. Go watch
- 47:24Speaker 2: a good movie or's a great Tom maguire said, go
- 47:26Speaker 2: outside and play at any rate. We'll see y'all next week.
- 47:30Speaker 2: Thank you so much. And uh yeah, I have friends
