- 0:00Good morning and welcome to another Espresso with Max.
- 0:08Subject of today is continuation.
- 0:12What we talked yesterday and the lack of respect and the why we
- 0:19see some races like the Xfinity being a bit of a show.
- 0:27My personal opinion is that since NASCAR instituted the fact
- 0:32that the Cup guys cannot be really part or partially, you
- 0:37know, they have, they can only do X amount of races in, in the
- 0:41Xfinity, in the truck. All these young guys, they do
- 0:45not have their mentor anymore. Basically, one thing is racing
- 0:51against your peers. One thing is racing against Mark
- 0:54Martin, Kyle Bush, Danny Hamlin, name it.
- 1:01You know guys like that when I think people would have thought
- 1:06twice before making a mess like they did if they would have had
- 1:11those guys around because first of all, they got to erase them
- 1:14in the future. 2nd, I mean you wouldn't even think about the
- 1:22pissing off Kevin Harvick or Danny Hamlin for no reason.
- 1:28And I think that's to me one of the main reason why this younger
- 1:34guys, this younger racer, they don't have this mentorship
- 1:36anymore. The other one I bring it up to
- 1:41the fact that because the sport is so expensive, very few of the
- 1:46modern racer in the track Xfinity are still the Krafter
- 1:53model are still the Mark Martin model.
- 1:57You know where they've been working on their car.
- 1:59They came from not not much. Most of the young guys, they are
- 2:03great racers, you know, but they are they're just racers, you
- 2:09know, they not many of them, I'm sure they would know how to
- 2:13wrench on a car and stuff like that.
- 2:14Therefore, I don't think they really know what it means when
- 2:18you have to work on it, when you have to repair it, how much it
- 2:21cost, Does that has a fix? I don't think so.
- 2:25I mean, I, I don't think so. Things change in life now.
- 2:31It's a new generation, you know, the between it's all about, you
- 2:35know, being able to understand that that is not just you.
- 2:40There are other people on track and other people working, you
- 2:43know, and working on your car, putting everything together.
- 2:49And at the end, you know, when you decide to be the tough guy,
- 2:56you better win because otherwise you really look like you just
- 3:02mess it up. So this may take for this
- 3:08morning heading, you know to MPI right now.
- 3:14I was actually quick thanks. I was for the weekend at racing
- 3:19prodigy. You know this venture that I'm
- 3:23involved where if you guys want to go and look racing
- 3:26prodigy.com. We basically selected 100,000
- 3:31gamer and found 18 race car driver out of that.
- 3:36I will that was I was doing at NOLA, the final race of racing
- 3:40Prodigy where we selected some, you know where basically we've
- 3:47we found our prodigy Lawrence Horzing, a kid from a gamer that
- 3:53started they only put his butt in the car five times before
- 3:57that and now he's going to race for free in the P2 class.
- 4:05That means, you know, they went from 150 horsepower car to
- 4:10something that will have like 3-4 hundred horsepower car and
- 4:13together with other 18 guys, they're going to race for free
- 4:17and they're going to be the ambassador of SIM sport in
- 4:21racing. So racing prodigy.com.
- 4:26Then I spent some times with my son Mateo with me at the track
- 4:31and today it's going to be a lot of fun.
- 4:34Mate is going to go and I would say fun.
- 4:39It's going to be a great adventure.
- 4:40You know he's he's going to go to Millbridge and test the micro
- 4:45for the first time. Thanks to chat Bolt and the
- 4:49opportunity he's giving to Mateo.
- 4:51So hope you guys have a great day and I will keep you informed
- 4:56of all my personal stuff. A little bit more and espresso
- 5:02with Max season.
