  Be honest. When someone corrects you,
• 0:14
  what's your first instinct? Do you get defensive?
• 0:17
  Do you shut down? Do you brush it off and pretend
• 0:20
  it didn't happen? Most of us don't love being told
• 0:24
  we got something wrong. It stings a little, even when
• 0:27
  the person saying it actually cares about us.
• 0:30
  But here's what's wild The lessons we try hardest to avoid
• 0:34
  are often the ones that shape us the most.
• 0:37
  Proverbs chapter 15, verses 32 to 33 puts it plainly.
• 0:42
  Whoever ignores instruction despises himself.
• 0:45
  But he who listens to reproof gains intelligence.
• 0:49
  The fear of the Lord teaches a man wisdom and humility comes
• 0:53
  before honor. That word despises is strong,
• 0:56
  isn't it? But think about it.
• 0:59
  When you refuse to learn, when you dismiss correction and keep
• 1:02
  repeating the same patterns, you're actually working against
• 1:05
  yourself. You're blocking your own growth.
• 1:08
  On the flip side, the person who can receive guidance even when
• 1:12
  it's uncomfortable is quietly building something real.
• 1:15
  Wisdom, character, the kind of inner strength that doesn't
• 1:19
  crumble under pressure. And notice that humility comes
• 1:22
  before honor, not alongside it, before it.
• 1:26
  That's the sequence God establishes.
• 1:29
  You don't get to skip the learning curve and go straight
• 1:31
  to the reward. The humble, teachable, sometimes
• 1:35
  hard season is what prepares you for what comes next.

  Now, First Corinthians chapter 15 takes everything up to a much
• 1:42
  bigger scale. Verse 22 reminds us that through
• 1:45
  Christ's resurrection, death has been defeated and we are given
• 1:49
  new life in Him. And verse 58 says so.
• 1:53
  Then, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always
• 1:57
  abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord
• 2:00
  your labor is not in vain, not in vain.
• 2:04
  Let that sit with you for a moment.
• 2:06
  There are probably things in your life right now that feel
• 2:09
  pointless. The effort you're putting in
• 2:11
  that nobody seems to notice. The choice you made to do the
• 2:15
  right thing that didn't get you any credit.
• 2:18
  The time you spent being kind to someone who didn't even say
• 2:21
  thank you. It can feel like you're pouring
• 2:24
  into something that has no bottom.
• 2:26
  But God says no. It counts.
• 2:28
  Every bit of it counts because the resurrection of Jesus
• 2:31
  changes the entire equation. If death itself doesn't have the
• 2:36
  final word, then neither does failure, discouragement, or
• 2:39
  feeling unseen. Every small act of faithfulness.
• 2:44
  Every moment you chose to listen and learn instead of harden and
• 2:47
  resist. Every time you got back up after
• 2:50
  a set back. It's all part of something God
• 2:53
  is building in you that has eternal weight.
• 2:56
  That means today's correction isn't punishment, it's
• 2:59
  preparation. That difficult teacher, that
• 3:02
  hard conversation with a parent, That failure you're embarrassed
• 3:06
  about. God is using all of it not to
• 3:09
  break you down, but to build you up into someone who can handle
• 3:12
  what He has ahead. So the next time life hands you
• 3:15
  a lesson you didn't sign up for, try to resist the urge to just
• 3:18
  escape it. Ask instead, What is God trying
• 3:22
  to teach me here? What is He developing in me
• 3:24
  through this? Because He wastes nothing.
• 3:28
  And your willingness to stay humble and keep learning is one
• 3:31
  of the most powerful things you can do.
• 3:33
  Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank You for
• 3:37
  the lessons You bring into my life, even the ones that are
• 3:40
  uncomfortable or hard to receive.
• 3:43
  Help me to stay humble, to listen well, and to trust that
• 3:46
  You are shaping me with purpose. On the days when my efforts feel
• 3:50
  invisible or pointless, remind me that my labor for You is
• 3:54
  never in vain. Because of Jesus resurrection, I
• 3:58
  have hoped that nothing I do in faith is wasted.

  Give me the strength to stay steadfast, keep going and grow
• 4:04
  in wisdom every single day in Jesus name, Amen.

  that God may be All in all. Or else what will they do?

  Who are baptized for the dead? If the dead aren't raised at

  all, why then are they baptized for the dead?

  Why do we also stand in jeopardy every hour?

  I affirm by the boasting in you, which I have in Christ Jesus our

  Lord, I die daily. If I fought with animals at

  Ephesus for human purposes, what does it profit me?

  If the dead are not raised, then let's eat and drink, for

  tomorrow we die. Don't be deceived.

  Evil companionships corrupt good morals.

  Wake up righteously and don't sin, for some have no knowledge

  of God. I say this to your shame, but

  someone will say, How are the dead raised, and with what kind

  of body do they come, you foolish one?

  That which you yourself sow is not made alive unless it dies.

  That which you sow you don't sow the body that will be but a bare
• 9:28
  grain, maybe of wheat, or of some other kind.

  But God gives it a body even as it pleased Him, and to each seed

  a body of its own. All flesh is not the same flesh,

  but there is one flesh of men, another flesh of animals,

  another of fish, and another of birds.

  There are also celestial bodies and terrestrial bodies, but the

  glory of the celestial differs from that of the terrestrial.

  There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and

  another glory of the stars. For one star differs from

  another star in glory. So also is the resurrection of
• 10:04
  the dead. The body is sown perishable.

  It is raised in perishable, it is sown in dishonor.

  It is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is
• 10:15
  raised in power, it is sown a natural body, it is raised a
• 10:20
  spiritual body. There is a natural body and
• 10:22
  there is also a spiritual body. So also it is written.

  The first man, Adam became a living soul.

  The last Adam became a life giving spirit.

  However, that which is spiritual isn't first, but that which is
• 10:36
  natural. Then that which is spiritual.

  The first man is of the earth made of dust.
• 10:42
  The second man is the Lord from heaven, as is the one made of
• 10:46
  dust. Such are those who are also made
• 10:48
  of dust, and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are
• 10:52
  heavenly. As we have borne the image of
• 10:55
  those made of dust, let's also bear the image of the heavenly.

  Now I say this, brothers, that flesh and blood can't inherit
• 11:03
  God's Kingdom, neither does the perishable inherit imperishable.
• 11:08
  Behold, I tell you a mystery. We will not all sleep, but we
• 11:12
  will all be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at
• 11:15
  the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and
• 11:19
  the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be
• 11:22
  changed. For this perishable body must
• 11:25
  become imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality.
• 11:29
  But when this perishable body will have become imperishable,
• 11:32
  and this mortal will have put on immortality, then what is
• 11:35
  written will happen. Death is swallowed up in
• 11:38
  victory. Death, where is your sting?
• 11:42
  Hades, where is your victory? The sting of death is sin, and
• 11:46
  the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives
• 11:50
  us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

  Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always
