- 0:00Speaker 1: This is seven R Boy.
- 0:03Speaker 2: The Mark Simung Show starts now.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Today. We got a lot of stuff that got through today.
- 0:19Speaker 1: It's now. Don't forget it's Tuesday. It's not Monday, it's Tuesday.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Today we'll get to we'll get to this Munich conference
- 0:27Speaker 1: which destroyed a lot of Democrats' careers. Over there. We'll
- 0:31Speaker 1: get to Jesse Jackson, Robert Devall, we'll get to the
- 0:34Speaker 1: Guthrie kidnapping. We'll get to Jeffrey Epstein, Stephen Colbert is
- 0:38Speaker 1: all bent out of shape again. We'll get to Iran.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Lots of stuff to talk about. Today, we'll get to
- 0:44Speaker 1: a Barack Obama. So yeah, this Munich conference took place
- 0:48Speaker 1: over the weekend. Major major world leaders were there and
- 0:53Speaker 1: it was It's become a bigger deal than Davos. It's
- 0:58Speaker 1: a major, major, major police cle event, and AOC went
- 1:03Speaker 1: over there. This is a chance for her to launch
- 1:06Speaker 1: a presidential campaign because the one thing she's not known
- 1:10Speaker 1: for is foreign policy, being a figure on the world stage.
- 1:14Speaker 1: This was her debut and it was total disaster. It
- 1:19Speaker 1: was absolutely childish, juvenile. People always kind of thought she
- 1:25Speaker 1: was dumb. This confirmed that she is an absolute babbling
- 1:29Speaker 1: yo yo dumber than Kamala Harris. Word salads beyond anything
- 1:34Speaker 1: Kamala Harris could put together, even just simple questions. I mean,
- 1:38Speaker 1: some of it was complex foreign policy, but some of
- 1:41Speaker 1: it was pretty simple. If China invades Taiwan, would the
- 1:44Speaker 1: US do anything? Of course, the answer is yes, it's
- 1:47Speaker 1: always been yes, that's US policy. But she didn't know
- 1:50Speaker 1: what the hell to say. So and listen, she's cute,
- 1:54Speaker 1: she's got a cute way of talking, she looks good.
- 1:57Speaker 1: But he's got an IQ maybe eighty eighty one maybe,
- 2:00Speaker 1: So she tries to answer this question and it just
- 2:03Speaker 1: came out as absolute gibbers.
- 2:06Speaker 3: I think what we identify is that in a rules
- 2:08Speaker 3: based order, hypocrisy is vulnerability, and so I think what
- 2:14Speaker 3: we are seeking is a return to a rules based
- 2:17Speaker 3: order that eliminates the hypocrisies around when too often in
- 2:23Speaker 3: the West we'd look the other way for inconvenient populations
- 2:29Speaker 3: to act out these paradoxes.
- 2:35Speaker 1: A given credit, though, maybe it's better than Kamala Harris,
- 2:39Speaker 1: because she throws in some big words paradoxes, but she's
- 2:43Speaker 1: saying absolutely nothing, can't answer the question, doesn't know what
- 2:47Speaker 1: the hell she's talking about. She was ridiculed all over
- 2:49Speaker 1: the place by Democrats, by Republicans at the conference. Back home,
- 2:55Speaker 1: she got back here and called the New York Times,
- 2:57Speaker 1: apparently very upset about this coverage. Even they had to
- 3:01Speaker 1: admit she was just a complete babbling idiot. So she
- 3:04Speaker 1: called the New York Times to to argue her case,
- 3:08Speaker 1: and they reported that she called and was all upset.
- 3:11Speaker 1: So doesn't look good. Hillary had a problem over there
- 3:15Speaker 1: because at one point they asked her something about Trump,
- 3:17Speaker 1: and she went into an ugly, bitter tirade about Donald Trump,
- 3:22Speaker 1: the spewing hatred about Donald Trump, and the and she
- 3:26Speaker 1: finished the it was a world leader talking or minister
- 3:30Speaker 1: or something, and he said, Dutch minister or something. And
- 3:33Speaker 1: he said, well, it's it's quite obvious you hate Donald Trump.
- 3:36Speaker 1: It was just a silly, preposterous answer. And then it
- 3:40Speaker 1: was a very Every time she spoke, it was bitter,
- 3:43Speaker 1: it was ugly, it was nasty. People have been saying,
- 3:48Speaker 1: what got into her. It's called alcohol, it's called being drunk.
- 3:52Speaker 1: It's called you know, she's like the old woman in
- 3:54Speaker 1: Sunset Boulevard, you know, drunk, living at home, nothing to
- 3:58Speaker 1: do all day, yelling and screaming, about making her comeback.
- 4:02Speaker 1: It's never going to happen. But and a lot of
- 4:05Speaker 1: Democrats are mad at her too, because she keeps pointing out,
- 4:09Speaker 1: you know, everything Trump has done pretty it's been pretty
- 4:13Speaker 1: successful in the United States. The deportation is a good idea,
- 4:16Speaker 1: it's a great idea. It's helping the country in many ways.
- 4:21Speaker 1: But whatever he does something, the Democrats go nuts. It's
- 4:24Speaker 1: the worst thing in the world. They protest, they take
- 4:26Speaker 1: to the streets, they forget. Not Joe Biden, but Bill
- 4:31Speaker 1: Clinton was deporting people like crazy. The greatest deporter of
- 4:34Speaker 1: all was Barack Obama. He deported millions. He did it
- 4:38Speaker 1: with ice agents all over the streets. And you know
- 4:40Speaker 1: who he had run it for him, Tom Holman. So
- 4:42Speaker 1: it was the same exact thing. But so Hillary keeps
- 4:45Speaker 1: bringing this up. And Democrats don't want that brought up.
- 4:49Speaker 1: They don't want remind people that they deported more people
- 4:52Speaker 1: than Trump did. But here's Hillary at the conference.
- 4:54Speaker 4: The more people were deported under my husband and Barack Obama,
- 5:01Speaker 4: without killing American citizens and without putting children into detention
- 5:06Speaker 4: camps than were in the first Trump term or this
- 5:09Speaker 4: first year of Trump's second term.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Okay, there's two problems. There three problems. One she's drunk
- 5:13Speaker 1: and ranting. But problem number one, she's lying about the
- 5:18Speaker 1: deportation centers, the children's detention camps, the concept all of
- 5:22Speaker 1: those were built by Barack Obama and Bill Clinton. You
- 5:26Speaker 1: remember they when Trump took office, they showed you kids
- 5:28Speaker 1: in cages, and everyone, oh my god, how can he
- 5:30Speaker 1: put kids in cages? Those pictures were from during the
- 5:33Speaker 1: Obama administration. They were his cages. He's the one that
- 5:37Speaker 1: did that. So they don't want that brought up. And
- 5:39Speaker 1: she said, nobody got killed. More people got killed during
- 5:41Speaker 1: the Barack Obama deportations. One hundred and twenty two people
- 5:46Speaker 1: got killed one hundred and twenty two during Barack Obama's deportations.
- 5:52Speaker 1: So even Democrats yelling here, just shut the hell up.
- 5:56Speaker 1: But the conference was embarrassing for a lot of people.
- 5:59Speaker 1: New Sim goes over there. Obviously he's running for president
- 6:03Speaker 1: and he wants to look presidential. But his whole speech
- 6:06Speaker 1: was about climate change, which is great if this is
- 6:11Speaker 1: two thousand and nine, but climate change. So Newsom just
- 6:17Speaker 1: looking ridiculously, ridiculously out of touch. Rubio stole the show
- 6:21Speaker 1: with a brilliant, powerful, speech to European leaders. Absolutely stole
- 6:26Speaker 1: the show and really did himself a lot of good
- 6:29Speaker 1: as far as twenty twenty eight. So, hey, the latest
- 6:33Speaker 1: on the Guthrie case. Nothing, there's nothing. There's really no
- 6:36Speaker 1: latest in I mean, the only thing that happened over
- 6:39Speaker 1: the weekend the police announcing they have cleared the family.
- 6:43Speaker 1: You know a lot of people talking about the brother
- 6:45Speaker 1: in law or maybe somebody in the family. The police
- 6:47Speaker 1: have absolutely cleared everybody, which means they traced everything of
- 6:52Speaker 1: every family member, phone records, movements, everything, who they talked to,
- 6:56Speaker 1: where they went, what they did. So everybody's been cleared
- 6:58Speaker 1: in the Guthrie family. She's released new videos talking to
- 7:02Speaker 1: the kidnappers.
- 7:03Speaker 5: It's been two weeks since our mom was taken, and
- 7:10Speaker 5: I just wanted to come on and say that we
- 7:15Speaker 5: still have hope.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Yeah, you can see she's just being worn to a
- 7:19Speaker 1: frazzle by this. It has been two weeks.
- 7:21Speaker 6: Now.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Can you go two weeks without the medicine? If you
- 7:24Speaker 1: got heart trouble, blood pressure trouble, maybe, but it's also
- 7:29Speaker 1: you got her. Remember if this woman's alive. We hope
- 7:33Speaker 1: she's alive. Where would she be would she be tied up.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Would she be in a locked in a room somewhere?
- 7:40Speaker 1: Is she being fed properly? You know, she's eighty four,
- 7:42Speaker 1: not in good health. If you're not getting up every
- 7:44Speaker 1: day and walking around and getting some exit, you could
- 7:46Speaker 1: really deteriorate fast to whoever.
- 7:51Speaker 5: Pass her or knows where she is. It's never too late,
- 8:04Speaker 5: and you're not post or alone, and it is never
- 8:12Speaker 5: too late to do the right thing.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Very tough to listen to all this, This is very tough,
- 8:18Speaker 1: this story. Now, NBC is said officially the Savannah Guthrie
- 8:22Speaker 1: is off the Today Show until she wants to come back,
- 8:24Speaker 1: So she's on the leave now as long as she needs.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Problem in this case, it's an unusual kidnapping. Usually the
- 8:31Speaker 1: ransom note goes to the family, or the ransom note
- 8:34Speaker 1: goes to the police. This is a bizarre case because
- 8:37Speaker 1: the ransom notes are going to a TV station. They're
- 8:40Speaker 1: going to TMZ. That's the other problem. TMZ. It's great,
- 8:44Speaker 1: it's fun, it's Harvey Levin. We like them, but it's
- 8:47Speaker 1: like the National Inquirer of today. So they're in the
- 8:49Speaker 1: middle of all of this, which is never a great idea,
- 8:53Speaker 1: and they're getting ransom notes from all over those And
- 8:55Speaker 1: the problem is Levin goes on the TV all the
- 8:58Speaker 1: time and talks about ransom notes, payoffs, bitcoin crypto, which
- 9:02Speaker 1: just encourages more ransom notes. So they're getting all these
- 9:05Speaker 1: ransom notes, nobody knows if they're if they're legitimate.
- 9:08Speaker 2: I have something to say to you, and I've already
- 9:12Speaker 2: talked to the FBI about.
- 9:13Speaker 1: This, that.
- 9:16Speaker 2: If you are not real, you're committing a crime and
- 9:21Speaker 2: you should know that. And this is a serious federal crime.
- 9:26Speaker 1: All right, Again, Harvey Levin in the middle of this
- 9:29Speaker 1: is not the best idea.
- 9:29Speaker 2: It says, I know what I saw five days ago
- 9:33Speaker 2: south of the border, and I was told to shut up.
- 9:37Speaker 2: So I know who he is, and that was definitely
- 9:42Speaker 2: Nancy with them. This is the second time he has
- 9:48Speaker 2: referred to more than one person involved in this.
- 9:52Speaker 1: He said there, right, it doesn't sound legitimate to me,
- 9:55Speaker 1: But he's getting these things from somebody who wants fifty
- 9:58Speaker 1: thousand in crypto, saying he's saw Nancy saw the kidnappers
- 10:01Speaker 1: and they were south of the border in Mexico. But
- 10:04Speaker 1: I don't know, it doesn't sound doesn't sound believable to me. Hey,
- 10:09Speaker 1: sad news that Jesse Jackson passed away this morning, only
- 10:12Speaker 1: eighty four. Hadn't been well. He'd been pretty bad the
- 10:16Speaker 1: last few years. I think the last time I saw
- 10:17Speaker 1: him was twenty eighteen. Maybe I remember sitting in the
- 10:23Speaker 1: green room with him about to go on a show,
- 10:26Speaker 1: and he was not himself. He was already slipping. He
- 10:30Speaker 1: was not I mean physically verbally. And then he had
- 10:34Speaker 1: Parkinson's And I think the last time we saw him
- 10:37Speaker 1: publicly Democratic Convention twenty twenty four, he was not able
- 10:41Speaker 1: to talk or walk. They brought him out in a wheelchair.
- 10:45Speaker 1: But Jesse Jackson quite a figure in American politics, in
- 10:50Speaker 1: civil rights. He was the protege of Martin Luther King.
- 10:55Speaker 1: And then, I mean, the sad thing is Jackson was great.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Unlike Al Sharpton, Jackson got a lot done, He got
- 11:04Speaker 1: major accomplishment. Sharpton just a chief hustler, just a shakedown artist,
- 11:10Speaker 1: just an idiot on Morning Joe. But Jesse Jackson really
- 11:13Speaker 1: changed things politically in the Democratic Party. Did two major things.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Barack Obama would never have been president had it not
- 11:23Speaker 1: been for Jesse Jackson. Jackson did two things. One his
- 11:26Speaker 1: voter registration campaign was amazing. He registered so many voters,
- 11:31Speaker 1: a lot of minority voters, but he got so many
- 11:33Speaker 1: people registered. It really changed the landscape for Democrats. And
- 11:37Speaker 1: the other major accomplishment he got the rules changed in
- 11:40Speaker 1: the Democratic Party in their primaries. It used to be
- 11:44Speaker 1: winner take all. He's the one that got it changed
- 11:47Speaker 1: so everybody could keep their delegates going into the convention.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Had it not been for that rule change, Barack Obama
- 11:55Speaker 1: could not have won. If it was still winner take
- 11:57Speaker 1: all in the primaries, Hillary would have had denomination. So
- 12:02Speaker 1: Jesse Jackson deserves a lot of credit. Now, he was
- 12:05Speaker 1: a great civil rights leader, he had some problems. He
- 12:07Speaker 1: got caught with some really ugly anti semitic remarks. In fact,
- 12:11Speaker 1: he ran in eighty four and eighty eight, and it
- 12:14Speaker 1: wasn't like Sharpton, where just a court jester at the debate.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Jackson was on his way to seriously be in contention
- 12:21Speaker 1: for the nomination. But eighty four he got caught make
- 12:24Speaker 1: an ugly anti semitic remarks off camera. Happened a few
- 12:29Speaker 1: other times. It was not good. And I don't know
- 12:32Speaker 1: he was. I guess he must have been anti Semitic
- 12:35Speaker 1: if he made those comments. But so the problem is
- 12:38Speaker 1: Martin Luther King starts this great movement and then it
- 12:43Speaker 1: deteriorates into Al Sharpton over a fifty year period. And
- 12:47Speaker 1: the problem is somewhere in between Lewis Farakhan, the Nation
- 12:51Speaker 1: of Islam somehow invaded the civil rights movement, which was
- 12:56Speaker 1: a big problem for the civil rights movement because Farah Khan,
- 13:00Speaker 1: the Islamic stuff brought into the civil rights movement, some
- 13:03Speaker 1: ugly stuff, some anti Simmonsism, that sort of stuff which
- 13:06Speaker 1: they try to keep away, but it's still lurking around
- 13:09Speaker 1: there on the sidelines. But it was Jesse Jackson, a great,
- 13:13Speaker 1: great leader. Eighty four is pretty young, and he was
- 13:18Speaker 1: a great figure in private. He was like a charming, funny,
- 13:22Speaker 1: charismatic guy and great friends with Donald Trump through the years,
- 13:27Speaker 1: great friends with Donald Trump. Now, once Trump ran for president,
- 13:31Speaker 1: they all had to pretend they hated him. But in
- 13:33Speaker 1: earlier years Jackson would come to New York a couple times.
- 13:37Speaker 1: He gave Donald Trump on a number of awards. His
- 13:41Speaker 1: group gave Trump awards for being the best in New
- 13:44Speaker 1: York at minority hiring and doing so much for minorities.
- 13:50Speaker 1: But of course once Trump ran, everybody had to pretend
- 13:52Speaker 1: none of this ever happened. And hey, we also lost
- 13:56Speaker 1: Robert Duval, great actor. He had all kinds of faith
- 14:00Speaker 1: miss lines you know that people remember from ever. I'd
- 14:03Speaker 1: love the smell on napalm in the morning and all that,
- 14:06Speaker 1: And of course the Godfather.
- 14:08Speaker 7: Nobody has ever gone down a New York police captain.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Never. It would be disastrous.
- 14:13Speaker 7: All the Five families would come after you, soney.
- 14:15Speaker 1: The Coleoni family would be outcast, outcast, yeah, and.
- 14:18Speaker 7: The old man's political protection would run for covert.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Robert Devall remember him with Waltz the movie producer, and
- 14:26Speaker 1: of course, hey, don't forget him in Tender Mercy.
- 14:28Speaker 8: And if you just hold the letter.
- 14:33Speaker 1: All right, that's not the Godfather. But hey, they made
- 14:36Speaker 1: a great Oscar speech.
- 14:37Speaker 7: What we're really here for is to single out who
- 14:38Speaker 7: we think is the best for that given year. And
- 14:40Speaker 7: if that's what I'm to be this year, then I
- 14:42Speaker 7: appreciate it with I accepted with an honor, and I'm
- 14:45Speaker 7: very moved because of that.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Wow. Yeah, great actor. So hey, we'll get to the
- 14:50Speaker 1: Epstein stuff coming up. A lot of people have been
- 14:55Speaker 1: slowly getting destroyed by Epstein, the Pritzker family, the Washerman family.
- 15:02Speaker 1: I've been reading through the files all weekend. I know
- 15:04Speaker 1: Epstein had besides his magnificent house on seventy first Street,
- 15:08Speaker 1: this enormous house that he had, he owned some apartments
- 15:12Speaker 1: in just you know, like a regular apartment building. He
- 15:14Speaker 1: owned apartments and he would let people use them. I
- 15:19Speaker 1: know the comedian Bobby Slaton, whenever he came to New York,
- 15:21Speaker 1: Epstein would lend him an apartment. A lot of these
- 15:23Speaker 1: women that would come to town, Epstein would give them
- 15:25Speaker 1: an apartment instead of staying in a hotel. They could
- 15:28Speaker 1: use an eptein apartment. They were nicely decorated. They had
- 15:30Speaker 1: everything in the refrigerator. You can just go use it
- 15:33Speaker 1: while you were in New York. But I'm looking through
- 15:35Speaker 1: the files. Apparently had fifteen apartments in one building, nice
- 15:39Speaker 1: building in East sixty sixth sixty six. The second very
- 15:43Speaker 1: nice apartment building, and he owned fifteen apartments in their
- 15:48Speaker 1: one bedroom apartments, fifteen of them. And the secretary is
- 15:53Speaker 1: constantly coordinating this because people are coming and sometimes it
- 15:57Speaker 1: was a world leader, not a major world but you know,
- 16:01Speaker 1: an next Prime minister or something like that. But the
- 16:04Speaker 1: woman is getting emails from all these Epstein friends, can
- 16:07Speaker 1: I use be in town for four or five days?
- 16:09Speaker 1: Can I get an apartment? And she's writing Epstein, okay,
- 16:11Speaker 1: to give him an apartment, and then he's going, yeah, okay.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Steve Bannon used one. A lot of professors, a lot
- 16:18Speaker 1: of college professors Epstein was working with, would come to
- 16:21Speaker 1: New York and it was pretty complex. Fifteen apartments in
- 16:25Speaker 1: one building. So the woman is constantly sending the assistant
- 16:29Speaker 1: Epstein the's lists of who's in what apartment? We got
- 16:31Speaker 1: him in six A, he's in three J, he's in
- 16:34Speaker 1: eleven B. It's like a massive logistics trying to schedule
- 16:39Speaker 1: all this. Hey, we'll take some calls. Next. Eight hundred
- 16:42Speaker 1: three to two one zero seven ten is the number
- 16:45Speaker 1: eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten. Hey,
- 16:49Speaker 1: we got a great event coming up you should know about.
- 16:52Speaker 1: It's a live networking event. It's actually like a CEO
- 16:57Speaker 1: get together, but you can attend. It's a There's a
- 17:00Speaker 1: beautiful new venue called two Park Avenue. It's Park Avenue.
- 17:05Speaker 1: It's like fortieth Street, beautiful venue up on rooftop. It's
- 17:08Speaker 1: got an incredible terrace with an amazing view. It's one
- 17:11Speaker 1: of the best corporate events spaces in Manhattan. So we're
- 17:14Speaker 1: going to do this March nineteenth in the evening six
- 17:17Speaker 1: to eight. Incredible views, beautiful setting. It's just a block
- 17:21Speaker 1: or two from Grand Central. But I'll be there. I'll
- 17:25Speaker 1: be one of the hosts. Larry MENTI will be one
- 17:27Speaker 1: of the hosts. And Curtis Sliwa, who did a great
- 17:30Speaker 1: job filling in yesterday. Curtis Sliwa will be there. If
- 17:32Speaker 1: you've never heard him speak in the public, he's a
- 17:34Speaker 1: dazzling speaker. He'll be there. But it's going to be
- 17:37Speaker 1: a crowd of CEOs, executives, decision makers. You can come
- 17:41Speaker 1: if you want. We've got some seats and it's March nineteenth,

- 18:19Speaker 2: the iHeartRadio app for his live show and his podcast.
- 18:23Speaker 9: Now back to the Mark Zimone Show on wr.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Rich Myrtle Beach. Rich,
- 18:32Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 18:34Speaker 6: Just recuperating here with the Olympics and the Andy Griffith Show.
- 18:37Speaker 6: That's what's on all the all these channels. So it's
- 18:39Speaker 6: pretty much I got two things to watch.
- 18:41Speaker 1: You're in the South Carolina Andy Griffith Show, you can
- 18:43Speaker 1: just look out the window. You don't need to watch beautiful.
- 18:46Speaker 6: I wish, I wish it was like that. I wish
- 18:48Speaker 6: it was nineteen sixty four, you know, But you know,
- 18:52Speaker 6: Robert Duval was great. But you know this Jesse Jackson,
- 18:54Speaker 6: you know, the last twenty to thirty years, wasn't he
- 18:57Speaker 6: just another race hustle on a race baby? As bad
- 19:00Speaker 6: as Al Sharpton.
- 19:01Speaker 1: I'm sure he profited, but he made major changes. Sharpton
- 19:07Speaker 1: has nothing.
- 19:08Speaker 6: For everything Donald Trump did to him over the years,
- 19:11Speaker 6: and then he pretends like he doesn't know Donald Trump
- 19:13Speaker 6: when he becomes president was running for president. I just
- 19:15Speaker 6: I never really liked to character of that fellow anyway,
- 19:18Speaker 6: just but because of that alone, you know, Donald Trump.
- 19:20Speaker 1: But I remember that being so close to Donald Trump
- 19:23Speaker 1: and then all of a sudden turning on him when
- 19:25Speaker 1: he was present. They all did that, from Schumer to Clinton,
- 19:27Speaker 1: to Cuomo to everybody. That's it's just standard, but you
- 19:31Speaker 1: got to I'm sure Jesse Jackson was able to profit
- 19:36Speaker 1: off his activity, but he made major changes, as I said,
- 19:39Speaker 1: the major changes in the Democrat Party. His voter registration
- 19:44Speaker 1: drive was incredible. It changed the whole landscape for Democrats.
- 19:47Speaker 6: Uh.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Just I'm just comparing him to Al Sharpton, who has
- 19:50Speaker 1: never done anything for anybody except himself. Let's go to
- 19:54Speaker 1: Jim in Riverside, Jim Riverside, Connecticut. No, no rivers drive here, Oh,
- 20:01Speaker 1: Riverside drive.
- 20:03Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 20:05Speaker 1: You can't just say Manhattan. You got to tell this
- 20:06Speaker 1: Riverside drive.
- 20:08Speaker 6: Oh.
- 20:09Speaker 1: I said, yeah, Oh, it's a beautiful street. Riverside drive.
- 20:12Speaker 1: It's like old old, old, grand, old apartment buildings.
- 20:15Speaker 11: And uh I ran into this friendom from thirty years
- 20:19Speaker 11: ago from college, Brandon. So what's going on? I said,
- 20:23Speaker 11: you know, I remember you worked for Trump, right, And
- 20:27Speaker 11: her answer was she goes, yeah, I worked for him
- 20:29Speaker 11: when he was a Democrat. She goes, oh, yeah, Trump
- 20:34Speaker 11: Tower was full of them and they were all looking
- 20:35Speaker 11: for Dems.
- 20:37Speaker 1: And then sure it's a hell of a story. Thanks
- 20:39Speaker 1: to Jim for thanks, I couldn't your phone kept cutting.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Now let's go to Sal in Brooklyn. Sal, How you doing?
- 20:49Speaker 8: I'm doing great?
- 20:50Speaker 6: Mark?
- 20:50Speaker 1: Uh could you come within like one hundred feet of
- 20:52Speaker 1: the phone where you're so far away? Yeah? What do
- 20:55Speaker 1: you like? Three blocks away? Yeah?
- 20:58Speaker 6: All right. Look, we publicans talk about the crimes that
- 21:02Speaker 6: the illegals commit.
- 21:04Speaker 8: They don't talk about the victims.
- 21:06Speaker 6: They should be publicizing them every day.
- 21:09Speaker 1: And where are they gonna publicize.
- 21:10Speaker 6: Well, on the news?
- 21:13Speaker 1: What news?
- 21:14Speaker 6: Whenever a public I know.
- 21:16Speaker 1: You got to remember they do this stuff, they put
- 21:18Speaker 1: it out every day, But what news. I mean maybe
- 21:21Speaker 1: Fox Newsmax will cover it, but you're not going to
- 21:24Speaker 1: see on ABC, CBS, NBC. They just won't cut New
- 21:28Speaker 1: York Times. They'll never remember that poor woman that was
- 21:32Speaker 1: burned and thrown into the subway, to remember the other
- 21:34Speaker 1: one on the train that was just stabbed from behind.
- 21:36Speaker 1: I mean, they just don't cover this stuff. They just
- 21:38Speaker 1: cover it up. They don't cover it. Let's go to
- 21:40Speaker 1: Dennis and the Poconos. Dennis, how you doing?
- 21:44Speaker 8: Yeah? Hey, Mark. I left Sunday. It was minus five.
- 21:46Speaker 8: I took the Alpha down on the auto tream in Florida.
- 21:49Speaker 8: I'm in the museum and the teachers got the class
- 21:52Speaker 8: and she's telling them, the kids about the water rising
- 21:55Speaker 8: and Miami's flooding. I'm like, tell them about outside. All
- 21:58Speaker 8: the trees are dead, everything dead down here from the cold.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Well brutal. Yeah, I mean you can see.
- 22:05Speaker 7: You can go.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Online and find these videos where all these people are
- 22:08Speaker 1: telling you that the ocean is going to rise up,
- 22:11Speaker 1: half of Florida be underwater, and a lot of these
- 22:13Speaker 1: videos are from nineteen eighty eighty two, and none of
- 22:16Speaker 1: this has ever come true. This I think it's one
- 22:18Speaker 1: on my Twitter from a while back. It's Dan Rather
- 22:21Speaker 1: in nineteen eighty saying Florida will soon be underwater. There's one.
- 22:25Speaker 1: There's an ABC News report they said Manhattan. Half of
- 22:28Speaker 1: Manhattan would be underwater by like nineteen ninety eight. There's
- 22:32Speaker 1: a million of these, and none of these people have
- 22:34Speaker 1: ever apologized. Al Gore has never apologized for all that
- 22:37Speaker 1: crap that he pushed on everybody. One more, let's go
- 22:40Speaker 1: to Adam in New Jersey. Adam, how you doing.
- 22:43Speaker 10: I'm doing good. Mic listen, I heard a little bit
- 22:46Speaker 10: of news about Donald Trump signing some kind of legislation
- 22:50Speaker 10: or some kind of paperworker.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Well, I'm glad you got a story very specifically nailed down.
- 22:56Speaker 8: Might signed a minute, Give me a minute.
- 23:00Speaker 1: We don't have a minute. You got ten seconds, go.
- 23:02Speaker 8: Ahead, Oh, ten seconds, Mark, take a breath, Go.
- 23:09Speaker 10: Ahead, Okay, I got a breath that he signed some
- 23:12Speaker 10: guys on the legislation to rebuild Gaza. Yeah, five hundred
- 23:16Speaker 10: billion dollars.
- 23:17Speaker 6: Yeah, I just want to know.
- 23:19Speaker 10: Ye, Israel should be paying for that, don't you think?
- 23:22Speaker 8: Not me the taxpayer.
- 23:24Speaker 1: No, well you're not going to pay for it. But
- 23:26Speaker 1: this has been going on for over a year now.
- 23:28Speaker 1: This plan to rebuild Gaza country small over the world
- 23:31Speaker 1: would come in private sector companies would come in and
- 23:35Speaker 1: rebuild Gaza. In other words, they build skyscrapers, they'd build
- 23:38Speaker 1: beautiful homes, they'd build casinos, they'd build restaurants, they'd build
- 23:42Speaker 1: a museum. It would be an absolute paradise. Now, that
- 23:47Speaker 1: population of Gaza, how long do you think before they
- 23:49Speaker 1: turn it into a disaster area? Two weeks? But I
- 23:53Speaker 1: guess they would have security to maintain it and all
- 23:55Speaker 1: that anyway. Hey, when we come back, rob Astorino will
- 23:58Speaker 1: be with us. You know he ran for He can
- 24:00Speaker 1: tell us a lot about how that race goes, how
- 24:03Speaker 1: that plays out. We'll get to that in a lot more.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Just ahead on seven to ten WR.
- 24:08Speaker 2: Here's more Mark Simone on sevent ten WR.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Well, rob ast Doreeno a longtime broadcaster. It was also
- 24:16Speaker 1: a Westchester County executive. You can hear him. He does
- 24:20Speaker 1: a TV show, Newsmax every Saturday at two o'clock. He
- 24:24Speaker 1: GOLs to hear him on WR here Saturday afternoons at
- 24:27Speaker 1: four o'clock. Rob Astonino, How you doing good?
- 24:31Speaker 6: Mark? How are you?
- 24:32Speaker 1: I'm good? Now, Hey, you ran for governor? Tell us
- 24:37Speaker 1: how tough is it for a Republican to run as
- 24:39Speaker 1: a Republican in New York State.
- 24:43Speaker 9: Well, I'm not governor, so that should tell you how
- 24:48Speaker 9: odd it is. The biggest problem we face now, Mark,
- 24:52Speaker 9: is so many of our voters have left, They've died
- 24:55Speaker 9: or there where I just was last week in Florida,
- 24:58Speaker 9: and Florida's gotten a lot more red, you know, New
- 25:02Speaker 9: York has gotten bluer. Then you have the suburbs like
- 25:06Speaker 9: like where I am, Westchester, which has gotten deeper blue,
- 25:09Speaker 9: and the city is completely insane. And you know, other
- 25:13Speaker 9: than Long Island, which has been trending right, unfortunately, the
- 25:16Speaker 9: northern suburbs have been, you know, drifting left, and upstate
- 25:20Speaker 9: New York is kind of hollowed out. So the problem
- 25:23Speaker 9: is there's not enough of ours to win outright, so
- 25:26Speaker 9: you have to pull over so many independents and Democrats
- 25:30Speaker 9: and Democrats right now are just not listening to anything
- 25:33Speaker 9: that a Republican has to say. We're you know, we're
- 25:35Speaker 9: the horns where the devil and and that's tough. And
- 25:39Speaker 9: so you get incompetence like Hocel, you get people like
- 25:42Speaker 9: Mamdami get elected, and this state just gets worse and worse.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Yeah, but when you get north of Western where do
- 25:50Speaker 1: you get up to Rockland and north of the I
- 25:52Speaker 1: would think there's a lot of Republicans, No, not anymore there.
- 25:56Speaker 1: They're well, they're a lot less.
- 25:57Speaker 9: I mean, Duchess used to be very red. Are In
- 26:00Speaker 9: used to be very red. Rockland was was kind of red.
- 26:03Speaker 9: I mean they're all they're all basically blue now and
- 26:06Speaker 9: Westchester has gotten deeper blue. Putnam is even you know,
- 26:09Speaker 9: Putnam's a holdout, still red. But it's kind of directing
- 26:12Speaker 9: a little bit. You know, you got the people from
- 26:14Speaker 9: New York City move up there, they buy their properties
- 26:16Speaker 9: and then they start voting you know, crazy. So I mean, look,
- 26:20Speaker 9: it's not impossible for Bruce Blakeman. I think, you know,
- 26:24Speaker 9: the TDS is a lot less this time than it
- 26:26Speaker 9: was in Trump, you know, in Trump's first term. But
- 26:30Speaker 9: you just see how hardened the left has become in
- 26:33Speaker 9: states like New York where you know, there's no rhyme
- 26:36Speaker 9: or reason to anything they do anymore. It's just got
- 26:37Speaker 9: to be crazy, woke leftist nonsense socialists now, and that's
- 26:41Speaker 9: what they go for. So it makes it a lot harder.
- 26:44Speaker 9: And I think Bruce has to talk about other things
- 26:46Speaker 9: other than just crime because you know a lot of places,
- 26:50Speaker 9: like in the suburbs, people don't necessarily feel unsafe. Crime
- 26:55Speaker 9: is an issue, but you know they're ready to walk
- 26:57Speaker 9: out at nighttime and take a walk around their neghborhood.
- 27:00Speaker 9: They don't feel the fear that you might in New
- 27:02Speaker 9: York City. But economics, things like energy costs, you know,
- 27:07Speaker 9: all those things are really important to a lot of
- 27:09Speaker 9: different people where you can get crossover votes.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Yeah, Blakeman is great on energy costs. He's great on
- 27:14Speaker 1: keeping taxes down. He's great on that stuff.
- 27:16Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 27:17Speaker 1: So hey, our old buddy Andrew Cuomo. He's doing a
- 27:23Speaker 1: radio show now. It's god, it's a bad show.
- 27:26Speaker 9: But oh it's unlistenable. Oh my god, you want to
- 27:28Speaker 9: you want to stick your fingers in your ear and
- 27:30Speaker 9: just pull your ear drum out.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it's so awful. But where did he he?
- 27:35Speaker 1: I don't know where he got the nerve to run
- 27:37Speaker 1: for mayor. He just left his governor. He left in disgrace.
- 27:41Speaker 1: He left all but he being chased by the police
- 27:43Speaker 1: out of there. H Does he have any political future?
- 27:48Speaker 6: Uh?
- 27:49Speaker 9: Well, I don't know. I think the Democratic Party has
- 27:52Speaker 9: moved on for him and that's his only future, right,
- 27:54Speaker 9: And he's become a dinosaur with a terrible record, and
- 27:58Speaker 9: he again, you know, like the Chuck Schumer's duck is
- 28:01Speaker 9: only there, I think because he still has time left
- 28:03Speaker 9: in his term. But I don't know if he's going
- 28:05Speaker 9: to get re elected. I think honestly, he again he's
- 28:09Speaker 9: looked over and he's like nobody's around him anymore because
- 28:12Speaker 9: they're so far over with AOC and Ma'm dami people
- 28:16Speaker 9: that let's be honest. I mean Schumer, that's not really
- 28:19Speaker 9: who he is. He's he's played the role and he's
- 28:22Speaker 9: appeased them because he wants to stay just you know,
- 28:25Speaker 9: basically stay in power, do anything that's not necessarily who
- 28:29Speaker 9: he really has been. But there, I mean, his party's
- 28:32Speaker 9: left him and so he's kind of still standing only
- 28:35Speaker 9: because he has, you know, a couple of years left
- 28:37Speaker 9: in his term. I'm not so sure he's gonna run
- 28:39Speaker 9: for reelection. By the way, I don't think at that
- 28:42Speaker 9: age he's got the fight in him for what's going
- 28:44Speaker 9: to be grueling primary, uh, and you know, and traveling
- 28:48Speaker 9: around the state left and right. I'm just not so
- 28:50Speaker 9: sure that's that's left in him.
- 28:52Speaker 1: I don't know, give him credit. You've got new glasses.
- 28:54Speaker 1: I know you've said been at a lot, but hey,
- 28:59Speaker 1: you were a county executive. What happens when you get
- 29:02Speaker 1: a snowfall like we had like ten twelve inches and
- 29:04Speaker 1: it stays freezing for weeks and there is everybody yelling
- 29:07Speaker 1: at you that street's not clean, pick up the snow.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Is it a big headache for a governor, a county executive.
- 29:14Speaker 9: So the funny part Mark and this is just between us,
- 29:17Speaker 9: so do not tell anybody. So people would always ask me,
- 29:19Speaker 9: like during a major snowstorm, you know, or big weather incident,
- 29:24Speaker 9: you know, what does the county executive do? And I
- 29:27Speaker 9: tell them, you know what I do. I kind of
- 29:29Speaker 9: do what everyone else does. I watch it because I'm
- 29:32Speaker 9: not on the plows. I just got to make sure
- 29:34Speaker 9: that they're doing their job, and they basically do. I
- 29:36Speaker 9: get my little weather jacket, you know, in my little
- 29:38Speaker 9: executive jacket, and go do the media stuff and just
- 29:42Speaker 9: tell people what they already know, like, you know, stay inside,
- 29:44Speaker 9: it's bad.
- 29:45Speaker 1: Out, don't don't drive.
- 29:46Speaker 9: But other than that, you know, you just want to
- 29:48Speaker 9: make sure everyone's doing their job, which they are. I think.
- 29:51Speaker 9: You know, look, the roads have to be clear. That's
- 29:53Speaker 9: the biggest issue. And man, Donnie found that out. Not
- 29:56Speaker 9: only the garbage, but it was an absolute utter mess.
- 30:00Speaker 9: The horrible part is when all this crap melts, you're
- 30:03Speaker 9: going to see nothing but blah and then you had
- 30:06Speaker 9: to clean it. Oh, it's awful, awful.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Hey, let me ask you this. Cardinal Dolan. Good news
- 30:11Speaker 1: is he's staying in New York. He's going to live
- 30:13Speaker 1: here in the in Murray Hill actually, and I'm not
- 30:16Speaker 1: crazy about this new archbishop. I don't know. Little he's
- 30:20Speaker 1: a little woke, hasn't he.
- 30:23Speaker 9: I would give him a shot, you know. I think
- 30:26Speaker 9: he's definitely got the lineage of Chicago. There's no question
- 30:29Speaker 9: about it. Cardinal Souppitch, who is pretty to the left,
- 30:33Speaker 9: he's the cardinal Archbishop of Chicago, very close to the pope,
- 30:37Speaker 9: you know. But Archbishop Hicks, I mean, it's not fair
- 30:41Speaker 9: to say that this guy had no training or whatsoever.
- 30:43Speaker 9: He came from a small, little po dunk place. He didn't.
- 30:46Speaker 9: Joliet is like the suburbs of New York City, right,
- 30:48Speaker 9: It's a big enough diocese said of its own. But
- 30:50Speaker 9: he was also in Chicago. I mean he was. He
- 30:53Speaker 9: was an auxiliary bishop, so he ran a lot of
- 30:55Speaker 9: the day to day of the Chicago archdiocese. So, I mean,
- 30:58Speaker 9: he's been in a big city. I would just give
- 31:01Speaker 9: the guy, you know, some slack. Let's see where he
- 31:04Speaker 9: goes first. I mean, it's so hard to replace card No.
- 31:07Speaker 9: One because he's so he's just so affable and so
- 31:11Speaker 9: really good at what he did. But you know, we
- 31:15Speaker 9: gotta change.
- 31:15Speaker 1: Unfortunately, you're being very diplomatic. Well, anyway. You can listen
- 31:18Speaker 1: to rab Estino Saturday, Saturday afternoon at four o'clock. He's
- 31:22Speaker 1: on WOR four o'clock on Saturday afternon and News Max.
- 31:25Speaker 1: You're on two o'clock on Saturdays.
- 31:26Speaker 9: Right, one o'clock, three.
- 31:29Speaker 1: One to three, one to three on News Max on Saturdays,
- 31:32Speaker 1: and four o'clock on seven to ten WOR. Rob Astarino,
- 31:36Speaker 1: thanks for being with us.
- 31:38Speaker 9: Good to talk to you.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Mark, take care. Hey, don't forget Buck and Clay will
- 31:42Speaker 1: be here at noon today. Don't forget it's it's not Monday.
- 31:44Speaker 1: It's Tuesday. Everything is Monday. It's Tuesday, Buck and Clay
- 31:48Speaker 1: at noon. You got the most listened to radio show
- 31:51Speaker 1: in America, Sean Hannity at three, Jesse Kelly at six,
- 31:54Speaker 1: and Jimmy Fayla. I love listening to him every night,
- 31:57Speaker 1: great show nine o'clock here on seven TENR.
- 32:01Speaker 10: He knows his way around all this.
- 32:05Speaker 11: It's the Mark Simone Show on seven TENR.
- 32:12Speaker 1: Hey, yeah, it's Tuesday, Now Monday, it's Tuesday. You got
- 32:16Speaker 1: four weeks until spring. That's it, four weeks, you know,
- 32:19Speaker 1: and for the next it's gonna be in the forties
- 32:21Speaker 1: all this week, So all the snow will melt, it'll
- 32:24Speaker 1: be gone the next day or two, and then it's
- 32:27Speaker 1: gonna rain a little here and there that will help
- 32:29Speaker 1: wash away all that stuff. And then forties all this
- 32:33Speaker 1: coming week, and then next week should be upper thirties forties,
- 32:37Speaker 1: so that's it. And then after that you got two
- 32:39Speaker 1: weeks until spring. So I think you got through the
- 32:42Speaker 1: worst of it. That's pretty good. CBS News, you know,
- 32:46Speaker 1: they've been laying off people, trying to get rid of people.
- 32:48Speaker 1: Looks like now they're gonna cut fifteen percent of the
- 32:52Speaker 1: staff at CBS News. They want to get rid of
- 32:55Speaker 1: fifteen percent of the staff. Also, we'll get into this
- 32:57Speaker 1: in the next hour. Some other changes coming to cbay.
- 33:00Speaker 1: They wanted a little more fair and balanced. Colbert is
- 33:04Speaker 1: all up in arms. He's all crazy now because they've well,
- 33:07Speaker 1: we'll get to it the next hour. They're trying to
- 33:10Speaker 1: straighten out his show. Anderson Cooper, by the way, leaving
- 33:13Speaker 1: sixty minutes. They offered him a new contract. He didn't
- 33:18Speaker 1: take it. I have a feeling they tried to cut
- 33:20Speaker 1: him a lot. You know, they were paying these people millions.
- 33:23Speaker 1: Sixteen minutes used to be the number one show on
- 33:24Speaker 1: television used to have fifty million viewers. Now it's like
- 33:27Speaker 1: two million viewers. They got to cut every salary, so
- 33:30Speaker 1: he's leaving sixty minutes. We'll be back after the news.
- 33:33Speaker 1: Another hour to go, lots to talk about, so don't
- 33:36Speaker 1: go away. I'm here every day ten to noon or
- 33:38Speaker 1: listen to anytime you want. Get the podcast back right
- 33:41Speaker 1: after the news on seven to ten. Wo
