Stu Mackenzie (King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard)
On the 101st episode of the show, Stu Mackenzie tells me about self-managing the band, how Head On/Pill was a turning point for the band, always putting music first, teaching guitar to teenagers, growing up in Wangaratta, Anglesea and Geelong, 60s garage rock, staying motivated and having fun, being comfortable in his situation, the story of making their new record L.W., making albums for $0, finding a stride in their shows just before lockdown... and more.
King Gizz's 17th studio album L.W. is out now!
