- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to KFI AM six forty. The Bill Handles
- 0:04Speaker 1: show on demand on the iHeartRadio app.
- 0:09Speaker 2: KFI AM six forty live everywhere on the iHeartRadio app.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Happy Friday to you. It's the second day of twenty
- 0:15Speaker 2: twenty six. It's a beautiful day. Still cloudy, but no
- 0:20Speaker 2: rain right now, at least here in beautiful Burbank, California.
- 0:25Speaker 2: But we were not out of the rain yet. We'll
- 0:28Speaker 2: have some a little bit later, and I think tomorrow,
- 0:30Speaker 2: isn't that right, Heather.
- 0:31Speaker 3: Brooker, Yes, starting later tonight, throughout the weekend and early
- 0:34Speaker 3: next week my rain.
- 0:36Speaker 2: So I'm kind of I'm a big believer that talk
- 0:41Speaker 2: radio is a living, breathing thing. So the rundown is
- 0:45Speaker 2: for the host. The host isn't for the rundown. So
- 0:49Speaker 2: today today I'm kind of like, you know what, I
- 0:51Speaker 2: want to talk to people.
- 0:53Speaker 3: I do what I want.
- 0:54Speaker 2: I'm neil don't, but don't. Don't you love the aspect
- 0:57Speaker 2: of being able to connect with people like that?
- 0:59Speaker 3: I so love that. I wish that, honestly, I wish
- 1:02Speaker 3: we did that more.
- 1:03Speaker 4: You know.
- 1:03Speaker 3: I enter on the weekends with Dean's show, and she
- 1:06Speaker 3: takes in Bill's show for a handle in the law
- 1:08Speaker 3: when they take live callers, there's nothing more exciting and
- 1:12Speaker 3: makes it feel like radio than taking a live call
- 1:15Speaker 3: in the air.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Did a show that was nothing but dead callers and
- 1:19Speaker 2: it bombed. It bombed. Yeah, a lot of crickets in
- 1:23Speaker 2: the background.
- 1:24Speaker 3: It was rough, just you going hello, Hello, Hello, Is
- 1:26Speaker 3: anyone there for three hours?
- 1:28Speaker 2: Hello? And every once in a while you get somebody
- 1:31Speaker 2: who's not exactly there yet and it's like, I'm not
- 1:36Speaker 2: dead yet yet, he will be soon. So I'm talking
- 1:40Speaker 2: about making because I think creating is an important part
- 1:43Speaker 2: of being human. And as I've said, the good create,
- 1:47Speaker 2: the bad destroy. So I want to know what you're making, art, poetry, anything,
- 1:52Speaker 2: What are you making? And if you want to shout
- 1:54Speaker 2: out a website or what you're doing or a company
- 1:57Speaker 2: that you you know, you've got a little business that
- 1:59Speaker 2: you I'm totally okay with that.
- 2:01Speaker 3: But if they're making a baby.
- 2:03Speaker 2: What you know what, I'd like the details, and if
- 2:07Speaker 2: they have an Instagram I'm in.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Then suddenly it becomes a different kind of show.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Sure, I'm curious what technique did you use that baby?
- 2:18Speaker 2: But eight hundred five two zero one five three four
- 2:21Speaker 2: eight hundred five two zero one five three four, and
- 2:23Speaker 2: of course you can leave a talkback as well. Let's
- 2:26Speaker 2: see the talkbacks anybody on here. Oh this is interesting.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Let's make sure there's no cursing here.
- 2:35Speaker 5: All right, Hello, O'Dell, this is DJ some for twenty
- 2:40Speaker 5: twenty six. I am building DJ booths. I actually built
- 2:44Speaker 5: one for myself that I'm getting so much compliments, so
- 2:48Speaker 5: I'm hummed and probably more like inspired to build more.
- 2:52Speaker 5: So That's all I'm doing for the year. But anyways,
- 2:56Speaker 5: Happy New Year everyone, Thank.
- 2:57Speaker 2: You, Happy New Year to you.
- 2:58Speaker 6: You know.
- 2:59Speaker 2: I love that, and I hear that a lot people
- 3:01Speaker 2: will make something for themselves and for a thousand different reasons,
- 3:06Speaker 2: and then everybody sees it and goes, hey, can you
- 3:08Speaker 2: make that? I hear that with Pete Baker's, with artists,
- 3:12Speaker 2: with makers of all kinds, and then it becomes like
- 3:16Speaker 2: a thing. It becomes something that they do because they
- 3:19Speaker 2: started doing it, and people are like, hey, can you
- 3:21Speaker 2: make that for me? Hey, Jennifer, welcome to K five. Yeah, Hi,
- 3:26Speaker 2: hi there.
- 3:27Speaker 7: I'm actually making a carousel horse out of a real horse.
- 3:32Speaker 7: I kept thinking, you know how they make these things
- 3:35Speaker 7: out of wood and carb them I thought, what if
- 3:38Speaker 7: I deconstruct it and try and actually make it out
- 3:40Speaker 7: of leather and stones and you know, all the paintings.
- 3:45Speaker 7: So I've been working on this for a couple of
- 3:46Speaker 7: months now and it's just an obsession.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Wow, that's crazy.
- 3:50Speaker 7: She's like, she's like, oh, wear it, I'll wear it.
- 3:53Speaker 7: Just give me a gummy bear, I'll wear it.
- 3:56Speaker 2: So you're is this a full size or is it
- 3:59Speaker 2: car sell size horse?
- 4:01Speaker 7: Oh, she's a pony and she's about forty two inches
- 4:04Speaker 7: at the shoulder, so she's just a little bit bigger
- 4:08Speaker 7: than a real carousel horse, just bare.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Okay, wait, okay, hold on a second. You're what are
- 4:14Speaker 2: you creating that this is? You have a pony? And
- 4:17Speaker 2: how and how many hands is your pony? Did you say.
- 4:21Speaker 7: She's what do they say? They say she's about ten okay,
- 4:24Speaker 7: ten hands. She's about forty two inches at the shoulder,
- 4:28Speaker 7: so she's a big pony. But she's a pony.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Wow, and you're making something for her.
- 4:35Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm making I've got the I found a saddle.
- 4:38Speaker 7: Somebody told me a saddle real cheek that I cut
- 4:41Speaker 7: apart and recovered with red leather. I made a just
- 4:45Speaker 7: made the headstaw with all the stones on it.
- 4:48Speaker 2: So you're making that year making a costume to make
- 4:51Speaker 2: your real pony look like okay, because what you said
- 4:55Speaker 2: when you came on is I'm making a carousel horse
- 4:58Speaker 2: out of a full horse. And all I heard was
- 5:03Speaker 2: you put the last you put the lotion on the skin,
- 5:07Speaker 2: or you get the hose again. And I thought, who
- 5:10Speaker 2: the hell is this? Uh No, that means who I was.
- 5:15Speaker 2: I didn't want to judge anybody, but I'm like, what
- 5:18Speaker 2: are you doing.
- 5:23Speaker 7: For a little girl? For a for a costume contest?
- 5:28Speaker 7: And it was so much fun to make this dragon
- 5:31Speaker 7: that I thought, you know, what could I do that
- 5:33Speaker 7: I would really enjoy? And you know, but I keep thinking,
- 5:36Speaker 7: what am I going to do with this thing? Now?
- 5:38Speaker 7: I have a horse that looks like a carousel horse,
- 5:41Speaker 7: and well I.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Would I would?
- 5:45Speaker 6: You know?
- 5:45Speaker 2: Rent rented out for photographs like at a kid's party.
- 5:49Speaker 2: They don't have to, you know, instead of riding the
- 5:51Speaker 2: whole pony, they can take pictures with it, like a
- 5:53Speaker 2: photo opportunity.
- 5:55Speaker 7: Yeah yeah, and the subtle is usable and I really
- 6:00Speaker 7: he has this idea. I want to make five iconic
- 6:03Speaker 7: carousel horses, you know, like the Mary Poppins carousel horse.
- 6:08Speaker 7: Oh yes, it was an actual Denzil Parusel horse in
- 6:12Speaker 7: Hollywood that I'm recreating. So I have like all these
- 6:15Speaker 7: great photographs to work from. Oh my god, it's really
- 6:19Speaker 7: been a lot of fun to try and see. It's
- 6:22Speaker 7: a lot more more details than I ever thought it
- 6:25Speaker 7: was now that I'm trying to Oh, there are shit
- 6:28Speaker 7: and I've finished all the leather, but I have all
- 6:30Speaker 7: the details to do.
- 6:31Speaker 8: Now.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Did you work with leather prior not?
- 6:35Speaker 7: Really? I make dog bits for a living, so I've
- 6:37Speaker 7: worked with sabricks and heavy duty stuff. I had at
- 6:40Speaker 7: a heavy duty machine, but I never really attempted anything
- 6:44Speaker 7: till that dragon. And that was really fun putting all
- 6:47Speaker 7: the little bikes on it and everything.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Jennifer, stop it. That sounds awesome. Now are you documenting this?
- 6:53Speaker 2: Do you have a website or Okay.
- 6:56Speaker 7: I haven't published anything yet because I want to wait
- 6:59Speaker 7: until I have it done. I did kind of publish
- 7:02Speaker 7: pictures of the Dragon because I liked it. As a designer,
- 7:05Speaker 7: I like to prove that I did this from the start,
- 7:08Speaker 7: and then I had the concept and here's the drawing.
- 7:10Speaker 9: And.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Nothing better Jennifer than concept to completion and in my
- 7:18Speaker 2: life that's what gets me going through anything, is just
- 7:22Speaker 2: having that concept to completion. I love that. Ryan in Orange,
- 7:29Speaker 2: welcome to KFI.
- 7:31Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 7:33Speaker 2: So what are you making?
- 7:36Speaker 4: Yeah? So, actually, actually I appreciate the shows that you
- 7:38Speaker 4: have on the radio station, especially the Sunday morning show.
- 7:41Speaker 4: So thanks for that content.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Thanks. I'm real honored to do them, trust me.
- 7:46Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, So I specialize in making a seescape and
- 7:51Speaker 4: Milky Way nightscape photography images in southern California.
- 7:55Speaker 2: What are you shooting on nikon Z seven beutiful and
- 8:00Speaker 2: what to capture the the starscapes and all those? Do
- 8:06Speaker 2: you have tracking gear and stuff like that, well for
- 8:09Speaker 2: long exposures and all of that good stuff.
- 8:13Speaker 4: Yeah, I do use a tracker. I've been doing that
- 8:15Speaker 4: for about six years. And this whole kind of hobby
- 8:18Speaker 4: I've been doing for about I don't know, ten years.
- 8:20Speaker 4: It's mainly just kind of personal. But people tell me, hey,
- 8:24Speaker 4: why don't you try to advertise it, right, And I'm like,
- 8:26Speaker 4: I don't know, I just kind of do it for
- 8:28Speaker 4: myself and so like it's kind of serendipitous here in
- 8:31Speaker 4: this morning You're talking about sharing your stuff and people
- 8:34Speaker 4: are telling like, Okay, well I'll call in and just
- 8:37Speaker 4: see what you think. So that's kind of where. In fact,
- 8:40Speaker 4: I just got back from Laguna Beach. I was there
- 8:41Speaker 4: this morning and it's really beautiful to see the sunrise
- 8:44Speaker 4: out there.
- 8:45Speaker 2: So I can only imagine, imagine the kind of meditative stake.
- 8:52Speaker 2: I love photography. I took photography in junior high for
- 8:56Speaker 2: a couple of years, and I do have gear. I'm
- 9:00Speaker 2: I'm a fan of it, but the stuff you're doing
- 9:02Speaker 2: is some of my favorite. I think the sky and
- 9:05Speaker 2: the sea are two of the most amazing focal points
- 9:11Speaker 2: for cameras, So that's cool. Now, do you have an
- 9:15Speaker 2: Instagram or a website or anything that we might be
- 9:17Speaker 2: able to check out?
- 9:19Speaker 4: Yeah, they're both. Ryan Luna Photography.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Is that your real name? Yeah, because that's pretty cool,
- 9:26Speaker 2: Ryan Luna. That sounds perfect for a photographer.
- 9:32Speaker 4: Right, Celestial I guess right.
- 9:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I like it. It just makes sense, all right, Ryan, Well,
- 9:38Speaker 2: thanks for calling in. Happy New Year to you, and
- 9:41Speaker 2: I hope that you continue to shoot. I'm enjoying the
- 9:44Speaker 2: hell out of this. I hope you are as well.
- 9:45Speaker 2: We're going to continue to take calls and talkbacks about
- 9:48Speaker 2: what you're making. Creation is important. Creators good, destroyers bad.
- 9:54Speaker 2: More when we come back full board and people are
- 9:57Speaker 2: still sending us talkbacks, so plenty more to go nowhere
- 10:01Speaker 2: Neil Savedra and the Morning Crew KFI AM six forty
- 10:05Speaker 2: live everywhere on the iHeartRadio app. Happy Friday to you.
- 10:09Speaker 2: It is January tewod twenty twenty six. Neil Savedra and
- 10:12Speaker 2: the Morning Crew here, Happy to be with you. And
- 10:14Speaker 2: I just kind of shifted everything in a different direction
- 10:18Speaker 2: talking about making. I'm a maker. I like to create,
- 10:21Speaker 2: I like to build, I like to fix. I have
- 10:23Speaker 2: a shop at home, and I was talking about that
- 10:26Speaker 2: and that I have a side Instagram. Of course, I
- 10:30Speaker 2: have Folk Reporter that you can find on Instagram and
- 10:34Speaker 2: other social media outlets as well. But I have one
- 10:37Speaker 2: that I don't talk about that much, and that is
- 10:39Speaker 2: Savco Industries on Instagram. That's saav coo Industries, and that's
- 10:46Speaker 2: my maker one. That's like things that I'm fixing or
- 10:49Speaker 2: messing around with, robotics or props, movie props, replicas or
- 10:54Speaker 2: things like that. And I want to connect with other makers.
- 10:57Speaker 2: So whatever you do, if you're a painter, a poet,
- 11:00Speaker 2: whatever it is, please join me there at Savco Industries
- 11:04Speaker 2: on Instagram. But then I thought, you know what, I
- 11:07Speaker 2: truly believe that good people make, create, save, protect, restore,
- 11:15Speaker 2: and bad people destroy. So I'm taking your calls about
- 11:18Speaker 2: what you're making or creating eight hundred and five to
- 11:20Speaker 2: zero one five, three four and also on talkbacks and
- 11:26Speaker 2: here's one.
- 11:27Speaker 6: Now, Hey, Neil, there's something really cool in the LA
- 11:32Speaker 6: area that's coming up. You check out the website. Are
- 11:35Speaker 6: you thinking what I'm thinking? Dot Art? It's a collaboration
- 11:40Speaker 6: between creatives, writers and artists where the writers come up
- 11:45Speaker 6: with an idea and then the artist try and put
- 11:49Speaker 6: it onto canvas. Might want to check it out? Are
- 11:53Speaker 6: you thinking what I'm thinking? Dot Art? The next exhibit
- 11:57Speaker 6: starts in three weeks.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Oh that's a cool one.
- 12:00Speaker 3: That's a great idea.
- 12:01Speaker 2: I love that. Now this is something I've been wanting
- 12:03Speaker 2: to do. I've talked to a couple of local artists
- 12:05Speaker 2: because artists are struggling along with everybody else, and that
- 12:10Speaker 2: makes me sad. I know a lot of talented people
- 12:14Speaker 2: out there, so I want to use the platform of
- 12:16Speaker 2: the Fork Report. I've had more makers on and people
- 12:20Speaker 2: coming on and eating with me and having chefs on.
- 12:24Speaker 2: But also I want to do some art shows. I
- 12:27Speaker 2: want to do some art shows, have local artists and
- 12:29Speaker 2: food and combine the to go to a restaurant and
- 12:33Speaker 2: places like Desconso Restaurant here in LA and in Orange County.
- 12:41Speaker 2: And I've talked to Rob and he's like, yeah, let's
- 12:43Speaker 2: do it. So that's something that I'd like to do. Heather, obviously,
- 12:46Speaker 2: I'll bring you in on that because I think that
- 12:48Speaker 2: could be a fun thing.
- 12:49Speaker 3: I think that's such a great idea there are We're
- 12:51Speaker 3: in the city of artists. There's so many creators and
- 12:55Speaker 3: that run the gamut here from like you said, writers
- 12:57Speaker 3: to people who are physically making something. So that's that's
- 13:00Speaker 3: a that's a great idea.
- 13:02Speaker 2: So let's let's see let's get that that that's something
- 13:05Speaker 2: we'll get going this year. Arthur in Taft, Welcome to KFI.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Good morning, Good morning. What are you making this year?
- 13:15Speaker 8: Well, I am making cabons.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Oh wow, look at stones.
- 13:21Speaker 8: Absolutely, and I also am starting to make stones fears.
- 13:25Speaker 2: That's great. So explain what a cabason is and uh
- 13:29Speaker 2: and how you do it?
- 13:31Speaker 8: Okay, So a cabason is as a stone that's shaped
- 13:35Speaker 8: into a pendant. So it's flat on one side and
- 13:39Speaker 8: then domed on the other side, and then that's set
- 13:42Speaker 8: into a pendant of either gold or jewelry or whatever.
- 13:48Speaker 8: Sometimes they are domed on both sides and they're wire wrapped.
- 13:54Speaker 8: I don't do wire wrapping.
- 13:55Speaker 2: They're beautiful and it really takes us steady. It's like
- 13:58Speaker 2: finding a you know, it's like making diamonds or anything else.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Learning how to cut the stone properly, sand it, and
- 14:06Speaker 2: you know, carve it into this new different piece of
- 14:09Speaker 2: perfection that could be used in jewelry or you know,
- 14:12Speaker 2: paper weights or whatever. Most people probably come across them
- 14:16Speaker 2: in you know, plastic or resin form or even glass form.
- 14:21Speaker 2: I use many of these types in projects that I do,
- 14:24Speaker 2: but watching somebody cut it out of stone is pretty impressive. Absolutely,
- 14:30Speaker 2: how fun. How long have you been doing that?
- 14:33Speaker 8: About three years?
- 14:35Speaker 2: Do you have any outlet that you show pictures on
- 14:37Speaker 2: or anything.
- 14:40Speaker 8: Yeah, I started a YouTube channel and I'm also posting
- 14:43Speaker 8: a little bit on Facebook, and the name is four
- 14:47Speaker 8: Wheeling four Gems.
- 14:50Speaker 2: Four Wheeling four Gems.
- 14:53Speaker 8: Yeah, because we also what I also do is I
- 14:56Speaker 8: go out into the wilderness. So it could be either
- 14:58Speaker 8: the beaches or the desert and look for the minerals,
- 15:03Speaker 8: look for the stones. Cool and then you know, and
- 15:07Speaker 8: then I also like to go with groups and take
- 15:10Speaker 8: people out there to find some of the best material. Wow,
- 15:13Speaker 8: that is one of the best material. You know, we
- 15:17Speaker 8: have a huge variety.
- 15:19Speaker 2: How neat is that I want to go, Heather and
- 15:22Speaker 2: I are, let's do it. Let's go look for some
- 15:26Speaker 2: I think stones. Rocks are one of those things and
- 15:30Speaker 2: that we take almost said, take for granted, look at
- 15:33Speaker 2: me granted. Uh, it's one of those things that we
- 15:36Speaker 2: walk by all the time and don't understand. Uh, these
- 15:39Speaker 2: are millions of years old, the vast majority of the time,
- 15:42Speaker 2: and the the that they're so filled with different minerals
- 15:47Speaker 2: and things like that that we forget their beauty. And
- 15:50Speaker 2: when you see someone cut them properly and open that
- 15:53Speaker 2: that beauty up, it is uh, pretty insane to me
- 15:58Speaker 2: and very beautiful. So good for you, Arthur.
- 16:01Speaker 3: That's took my daughter to Ocean View Mine and Paula
- 16:05Speaker 3: years ago and we did some mind digging and looking
- 16:08Speaker 3: up rocks and gems and you can like they pay
- 16:11Speaker 3: a little amounta and you get buckets and buckets of
- 16:13Speaker 3: rocks and it was a blash. She loved it.
- 16:18Speaker 2: I see a new La Buddy show, you and me
- 16:22Speaker 2: going out to cool places, and just like, yeah.
- 16:25Speaker 3: Getting dirty, hanging out with creators.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Yeah right, I love it, talking out with Neil and
- 16:33Speaker 2: what I'm just saying Savadra and Brooker. Could they could
- 16:38Speaker 2: be we could be cops, pi's or whatever.
- 16:42Speaker 4: But I like it.
- 16:43Speaker 6: I like it.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Bruce and Anahei and welcome to CAFI.
- 16:48Speaker 10: Good morning, Happy New year, Happy.
- 16:49Speaker 2: New year to you. Bruce. What are you making?
- 16:53Speaker 10: I repurpose wine barrels into home decor items.
- 16:57Speaker 2: I empty wine barrels. I'm just kidding.
- 17:02Speaker 8: I can use some more.
- 17:03Speaker 2: You've got got them? How cool is that? So what
- 17:06Speaker 2: do you you're pulling them apart? The slats apart, and
- 17:10Speaker 2: what well? What kind of things are you making?
- 17:13Speaker 10: First of all, the first okay, it said barrel bars
- 17:16Speaker 10: by Bruce on Instagram.
- 17:18Speaker 2: Awesome.
- 17:20Speaker 10: I make. There's two that I make that are actually
- 17:22Speaker 10: full wine barrels. They are barrel bars. One of them
- 17:26Speaker 10: has wine barrel, wine bottle storage, and wine glass storage,
- 17:31Speaker 10: and another one is for outdoors. It has a tub
- 17:35Speaker 10: in the bottom to be an ice chest and top
- 17:39Speaker 10: around it and a lazy Susan that comes off and
- 17:41Speaker 10: has a fire pit in it.
- 17:45Speaker 2: That sounds awesome. Yeah, no, I'm just being gobsmacked like
- 17:49Speaker 2: anybody else. From your skills. Barrel bars by Bruce.
- 17:55Speaker 10: I also right. I also make things out of the
- 18:01Speaker 10: staves and the hoops, coat hangers, and Wisconce's and lazy
- 18:08Speaker 10: Susan's clocks. Well those are off of the barrel lids
- 18:12Speaker 10: or the barrel tops. So yeah, there's just a several
- 18:16Speaker 10: things that I make.
- 18:18Speaker 2: You know, our our buddy and charcoter. Oh yes, of course,
- 18:23Speaker 2: one of our buddies from Bravery Brewing in Lancaster, bart
- 18:29Speaker 2: He and I are friendly and we talked back and
- 18:33Speaker 2: forth and text back and forth. Well, he came to
- 18:35Speaker 2: my brothers. My brother has a fully working speakeasy in
- 18:40Speaker 2: his home, and he fell in love with it and
- 18:43Speaker 2: ended up making a bar in his home out of
- 18:47Speaker 2: barrels as well. And it's a I haven't seen it person,
- 18:51Speaker 2: I've only seen photos. But I love that idea. I
- 18:53Speaker 2: love reutilizing things and and you know, take these things
- 19:00Speaker 2: and using them for another purpose. I hate that we
- 19:03Speaker 2: throw so much out and I'm as guilty as anybody else,
- 19:06Speaker 2: but I do what I can, you know, to make stuff.
- 19:11Speaker 3: I feel that way about clothes. I hate that we
- 19:13Speaker 3: have so many clothes that people just throw out, like
- 19:17Speaker 3: the the Goodwills and the you know, solvation Armies and
- 19:20Speaker 3: all of those places that take clothes are just packed
- 19:22Speaker 3: to the guilt with so many clothes that never get
- 19:25Speaker 3: repurposed or reused.
- 19:27Speaker 2: And you know, I saw something super cool Heather the
- 19:30Speaker 2: other day where somebody took a sweater where the body
- 19:33Speaker 2: of the sweather sweater was jacked up but the arms
- 19:36Speaker 2: were fine. Took the arms off, sewed them together, and
- 19:39Speaker 2: made a beanie out of just the art. And I
- 19:41Speaker 2: love that. It's like, yeah, you may not be able
- 19:43Speaker 2: to reuse just like long legs.
- 19:46Speaker 3: No, no, it actually looked just like in my mind,
- 19:49Speaker 3: I'm thinking of the star the Star Wars character.
- 19:52Speaker 2: The twilex or whatever they did. I get that right,
- 19:55Speaker 2: the no no, no, what's a soca?
- 19:58Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 19:58Speaker 2: Well I think she's part of that family.
- 20:00Speaker 3: Okay, yes, yes, yes, that's what I immediately thought of
- 20:02Speaker 3: when I was like just two long strands coming out.
- 20:04Speaker 2: Of the hat like a sad dog.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:08Speaker 3: I love that though repurposing clothes, repurposing anything so smart.
- 20:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree. I I love seeing things like I
- 20:15Speaker 2: hate you know who used to repurpose it was a
- 20:18Speaker 2: dear friend and I loved the man and I miss
- 20:21Speaker 2: him terribly. Is dom Delouise. Dom Delouise used to take
- 20:25Speaker 2: his boys out. They go and he'd sit in the car.
- 20:28Speaker 2: He'd make his kids go out and dumpster dive. He'd
- 20:32Speaker 2: go get down, you know, and he said he would.
- 20:35Speaker 2: He would be like, go grab that chair, and they'd
- 20:37Speaker 2: go grabbing. No, no, no, the other one, the good one,
- 20:40Speaker 2: and they'd put it in the trunk and he'd bring
- 20:42Speaker 2: it home like he is, this world renowned star and
- 20:46Speaker 2: he didn't want to see things go to waste. I
- 20:48Speaker 2: love that other people around the dumpsters, like is that
- 20:51Speaker 2: domb do No, it's his kids, the kids do it. Alrighty, well,
- 20:57Speaker 2: we'll come back and Heather and I are going to
- 20:59Speaker 2: answer ask us anything. Yeah, can we come back? But then,
- 21:02Speaker 2: thank you for hanging out. We didn't get to everybody.
- 21:04Speaker 2: We had a full board of people, and I thank
- 21:06Speaker 2: you for hanging out. And God bless all of you
- 21:08Speaker 2: that are building and creating in the new year. I
- 21:11Speaker 2: think that's awesome. So stick around. More to come. Neil
- 21:14Speaker 2: Savader in the Morning Crew.
- 21:16Speaker 4: You're listening to Bill Handle on demand from KFI AM
- 21:20Speaker 4: six forty.
- 21:23Speaker 2: KFI AM six forty Live everywhere on the iHeartRadio app.
- 21:27Speaker 2: Happy New Year to you. Neil Savada in the Morning
- 21:29Speaker 2: crew Handles on vacation. He'll be back on Monday, and
- 21:33Speaker 2: then I get to take a vacation, a little week vacation.
- 21:36Speaker 2: There would be nice little family time. So we kind
- 21:41Speaker 2: of bumped footy Friday, but were instead of doing ask
- 21:46Speaker 2: handle anything because I was just fascinating people. Aren't you
- 21:49Speaker 2: impressed Heather about how many creatives are listeners and was
- 21:55Speaker 2: to be honest, all those different It wasn't sure. I
- 21:57Speaker 2: was like, ooh, is this KFI you know? Centric, Like,
- 22:00Speaker 2: are people gonna call in?
- 22:03Speaker 6: There was?
- 22:03Speaker 3: There's a lot, and there's a ton we didn't get to.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah people and a nice variety of different types,
- 22:09Speaker 2: you know, books, poetry, paintings.
- 22:13Speaker 3: There's also somebody called in about a cabaret that they produced. Lordy,
- 22:17Speaker 3: LORDI cabaret. I'm going to sign up an audition.
- 22:19Speaker 4: You know what?
- 22:20Speaker 2: Uh, every time you and I fill in, well, I
- 22:24Speaker 2: guess we're not feeling you fill in. I'm here all
- 22:26Speaker 2: the time.
- 22:26Speaker 3: You're going all the time.
- 22:28Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like this is this is my shift, regardless
- 22:31Speaker 2: of Wather handles here or not. But the uh, we'll
- 22:35Speaker 2: have to do that again because I love I want
- 22:37Speaker 2: to make like a make a space for creatives to
- 22:41Speaker 2: get together and connect. I would love to do that
- 22:44Speaker 2: at a at a restaurant, you know, get appetized, whatever,
- 22:48Speaker 2: just get people to connect. I've been to some makers
- 22:52Speaker 2: meetups before that are really wonderful and I just like
- 22:57Speaker 2: connecting with that kind of creativity. So thanks so much
- 23:01Speaker 2: for you know, going with the flow here and connecting
- 23:04Speaker 2: with us on that. I thought it was very cool.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Now we are going to take some of your questions
- 23:11Speaker 2: on we're calling this ask us anything instead of ask
- 23:14Speaker 2: handle anything. Let me see, we'll pull.
- 23:17Speaker 5: This up here.
- 23:19Speaker 11: I really love Heather Brooker's voice and I enjoy listening
- 23:22Speaker 11: to her. I just listened to a quick podcast of
- 23:27Speaker 11: her and her daughter and her husband. I would like
- 23:29Speaker 11: to ask Heather Brooker how long has she been married
- 23:32Speaker 11: to Chris and what did you do for a living?
- 23:35Speaker 10: Thank you?
- 23:36Speaker 4: Bye?
- 23:37Speaker 9: Oh wow?
- 23:37Speaker 11: I love you Neil and Kono and Will and everybody
- 23:40Speaker 11: else too.
- 23:41Speaker 2: Mike Wow. I love the ps we got in there
- 23:43Speaker 2: just at the tail end.
- 23:45Speaker 3: That's so nice. I love that. Okay, so thank you
- 23:49Speaker 3: for the kind words. First of all, the question is
- 23:53Speaker 3: how long have you been married this year? My husband's
- 23:56Speaker 3: name is Chris. And what she's talking about is they
- 23:58Speaker 3: have been guest with me on my entertainment podcast and
- 24:03Speaker 3: I've used them for the week up call this week
- 24:06Speaker 3: because we've been short staffed a little bit. But they
- 24:09Speaker 3: were great to come in. So I've been married to
- 24:11Speaker 3: Chris for this year. We're celebrating our twenty fifth wedding anniversary.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Wow, how many years? Happily all of them?
- 24:17Speaker 4: Oh?
- 24:18Speaker 3: Well, he is my best friend in the world. I
- 24:21Speaker 3: could not do what I do or would not want
- 24:24Speaker 3: to do anything without him. He's my best friend. And
- 24:29Speaker 3: he is a finance manager for a medical company, so
- 24:32Speaker 3: he deals with budget forecasting and is really good with
- 24:38Speaker 3: high level budgeting and numbers and things that I quite
- 24:41Speaker 3: frankly do not understand.
- 24:43Speaker 2: Yeah, that hurts my head already.
- 24:44Speaker 3: I know, right, he'll be talking and like and then
- 24:46Speaker 3: I had to do this with Excel and I'm like
- 24:48Speaker 3: glazed over, and I'm like, I support you, I support you,
- 24:50Speaker 3: but I don't know what you're talking about.
- 24:53Speaker 2: I support and love you, love you, but words words, words,
- 24:57Speaker 2: no idea. So yeah, you guys have that energy too
- 25:00Speaker 2: and body language when you're all together and coming from
- 25:03Speaker 2: another threesome. I can always recognize other threesomes where you
- 25:06Speaker 2: and your husband and your daughter are like, what are
- 25:09Speaker 2: we doing together tonight?
- 25:11Speaker 3: The group efforts. Although she's getting to be she's gonna
- 25:14Speaker 3: be thirteen this year. My daughter will be thirteen this year,
- 25:16Speaker 3: and she's definitely getting to that phase where she likes
- 25:19Speaker 3: to do her own things. So I try not to, like,
- 25:22Speaker 3: I don't want her to ever feel like she has
- 25:24Speaker 3: to hang out with us, of course, but I also
- 25:26Speaker 3: don't want her to feel like she can't go out
- 25:28Speaker 3: and you know, live her own life and do her
- 25:31Speaker 3: own things and find her own passions, you know.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Yeah, and if there's someone else in her bedroom when
- 25:35Speaker 2: she gets home, Oh she's in trouble. No, No, I
- 25:38Speaker 2: mean I mean that you got a new one. You're
- 25:41Speaker 2: like sorry, It's like wow, No, I'd be like, yeah, sorry,
- 25:46Speaker 2: we got another kid that's young and wants to hang
- 25:48Speaker 2: out with us. So anyways, the shed's open. No, that's
- 25:52Speaker 2: always going to happen, and that's the helping thing to do.
- 25:55Speaker 2: But it's still fun, you know, I always I never
- 25:57Speaker 2: stopped kissing my parents goodbye, or I never went through
- 26:01Speaker 2: that kind of don't touch me, don't look at me stage.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Maybe maybe yeah, let's hopefully our kids don't go through
- 26:08Speaker 2: it all. Alrighty, let's see here.
- 26:14Speaker 10: Hen my mistive, I'm pop important organ type question.
- 26:18Speaker 8: What's your type of How do you like your steaks cooked?
- 26:22Speaker 6: Mine? I like mind medium rare.
- 26:23Speaker 2: Oh, I'm right with you. I think there's no reason
- 26:27Speaker 2: to cook steak above medium rare, no matter what the cut,
- 26:31Speaker 2: although you have it the way you want it. I
- 26:33Speaker 2: think if you have them well or well done, you've
- 26:38Speaker 2: destroyed it. But if that's your jam to chew on that,
- 26:43Speaker 2: then go for it. The only time that I will
- 26:45Speaker 2: have something more rare than that is if it's uh
- 26:48Speaker 2: wagu or something like that. That by definition, it's kind
- 26:52Speaker 2: of just seared on both sides and melty buttery goodness
- 26:56Speaker 2: on the inside. But yes, I am a big fan
- 27:01Speaker 2: of having medium rare steaks, and there's some steaks you
- 27:05Speaker 2: just can't have above that, like a filet mignon. I
- 27:08Speaker 2: was talking to my sister during Christmas, and she likes
- 27:11Speaker 2: the fil a and I do too. I love a flight.
- 27:14Speaker 2: Most chefs hate them. They think they're flavorless and they're
- 27:19Speaker 2: a pain to deal with and there's way better cuts,
- 27:21Speaker 2: and I agree with that, but I still like them.
- 27:24Speaker 2: I still like the flavor of They're a mild flavor,
- 27:28Speaker 2: but I like the texture.
- 27:29Speaker 3: And I'm the same way. I agree with you. I'm
- 27:33Speaker 3: I'm a medium. I've always been medium rare, maybe even
- 27:37Speaker 3: just slightly maybe slightly between medium rare and medium. But
- 27:41Speaker 3: anything over that and it's too cooked, it's rubbery. I
- 27:44Speaker 3: don't want to eat it.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I tease Latinos all the time because there's a
- 27:47Speaker 2: thing of over like over cooking steaks big time where
- 27:51Speaker 2: I'm like, seriously, my dad was that way. I know
- 27:55Speaker 2: a lot of older Latinos that over cook steaks, and
- 28:00Speaker 2: I'm not sure if it was you couldn't afford better
- 28:03Speaker 2: cuts when you're I don't know, but but that's one
- 28:07Speaker 2: of the things that it's like, Nope, you gotta get
- 28:11Speaker 2: the good stuff. Have it medium rare and you're going
- 28:14Speaker 2: to be good to go.
- 28:15Speaker 6: Okay.
- 28:16Speaker 2: So there's another one. Hi, this is William. I had
- 28:20Speaker 2: a question for Heather.
- 28:21Speaker 12: You know, people seem to be so easily offended these days,
- 28:25Speaker 12: you know, and so politically polarized. Owner, how do you
- 28:29Speaker 12: go about mounting the stand up routine? Because I understand
- 28:32Speaker 12: you do that, and really, what can you talk about
- 28:34Speaker 12: and stand up these days?
- 28:35Speaker 2: Thanks very much, a great day.
- 28:36Speaker 3: Well that's a great question. So yes, I do stand
- 28:39Speaker 3: up whenever I can. That is something I enjoy doing
- 28:42Speaker 3: and writing and challenging myself to try to make people
- 28:46Speaker 3: laugh if I can. You know, people are easily offended,
- 28:50Speaker 3: But I will say generally when people are going to
- 28:52Speaker 3: comedy shows, they know they want to laugh. So people
- 28:58Speaker 3: don't really go to comedy shows looking to be offended,
- 29:01Speaker 3: you know. I say that knowing there are a few
- 29:03Speaker 3: rogue people that do that. But when I am writing stuff,
- 29:06Speaker 3: it's all very from a personal perspective. So a lot
- 29:10Speaker 3: of what I'm writing about isn't particularly political or divisive,
- 29:13Speaker 3: at least I don't think it is. It's more about
- 29:17Speaker 3: my I share experiences, about my marriage, about my mom.
- 29:22Speaker 3: My mom and I have a really interesting relationship. I
- 29:25Speaker 3: talk about being a parent, and I find that when
- 29:30Speaker 3: I write things that make me laugh or that make
- 29:33Speaker 3: my husband laugh, that's when I know I'm in a
- 29:36Speaker 3: good spot. He's my barometer really because he will tell me, hey, ooh,
- 29:41Speaker 3: that one's maybe a little over the line. Now that
- 29:43Speaker 3: being said, I do have a different persona a little
- 29:47Speaker 3: bit on the air. I have to be more professional,
- 29:50Speaker 3: and when I'm in a stand up environment, I'm a
- 29:52Speaker 3: little more Conway says, oh, you play blue, which is
- 29:58Speaker 3: probably a little bit true. I do swear a little
- 30:01Speaker 3: bit more and I pushed the envelope just a little bit.
- 30:03Speaker 3: But I enjoy trying to challenge myself to make people
- 30:09Speaker 3: laugh by sharing my story.
- 30:12Speaker 2: I was surprised when you came out on stage and
- 30:14Speaker 2: the first thing you said was pull my finger. I
- 30:17Speaker 2: was like, that's our Heather, but your your your non
- 30:22Speaker 2: confrontational stuff about Palestine, gun control, and abortion. I thought
- 30:26Speaker 2: was magic.
- 30:26Speaker 6: I know.
- 30:27Speaker 3: I'm really been workshopping now for a while, and back
- 30:30Speaker 3: of the napkin, I'm ready for my Netflix special and
- 30:34Speaker 3: it's all Trump all day.
- 30:36Speaker 2: I haven't seen your stand up, but I want to
- 30:38Speaker 2: go next time. You guys should know you play locally
- 30:41Speaker 2: here down the street.
- 30:42Speaker 3: I love the ice House. That's one of my favorite
- 30:44Speaker 3: venues to play in great venues, mostly because I'm lazy
- 30:46Speaker 3: and I don't want to drive over the hill to
- 30:48Speaker 3: the big the big show at what in West Hollywood.
- 30:51Speaker 3: But I love the ice House and I played at
- 30:53Speaker 3: Flappers for a while there. But the booker there is
- 30:56Speaker 3: a little strange. So I don't know.
- 30:58Speaker 2: But let's go. Let's kick some asks.
- 31:01Speaker 3: Yeah, let's do it.
- 31:01Speaker 2: Yeah, let's go roll them.
- 31:03Speaker 3: I want to do more shows. I have a really
- 31:05Speaker 3: fun show coming up later, like in March. I don't
- 31:08Speaker 3: know if I can talk about that one yet, but
- 31:10Speaker 3: I'll keep everybody updated.
- 31:11Speaker 2: Please do yeah, coming on the four Report and tell
- 31:14Speaker 2: everybody about it.
- 31:15Speaker 9: I will.
- 31:15Speaker 10: I will.
- 31:16Speaker 3: Thank you for that question. That's a great question.
- 31:18Speaker 2: We'll have more when we come back. Ask us anything
- 31:21Speaker 2: on the Bill Handle Show. I'm Neil Savedrakfi AM six
- 31:25Speaker 2: forty Live everywhere on the iHeartRadio app. Good Friday morning
- 31:29Speaker 2: to you, Neil Savedra and the morning crew here handles
- 31:32Speaker 2: off today. We'll be back on Monday, and I'll be
- 31:35Speaker 2: here tomorrow for the four Report from two to five.
- 31:38Speaker 2: Please join me then. And another thank you to all
- 31:40Speaker 2: those people that called and sent to the talkbacks about
- 31:44Speaker 2: what they're making this year. I thought that was very
- 31:46Speaker 2: very cool. I'm going to go back and listen to
- 31:48Speaker 2: all of those later when I get home, because it
- 31:51Speaker 2: was very very cool of you. Now we're doing ask
- 31:54Speaker 2: us anything, Heather Brookers here in for Amy King and
- 31:57Speaker 2: so we're fielding some of your talk back throughout the
- 32:01Speaker 2: week and happy to do that. All right, let's come
- 32:07Speaker 2: this one.
- 32:09Speaker 13: Good morning, Neil love listening to You're a key part
- 32:12Speaker 13: of the Kafi experience, and you're awesome and I love
- 32:14Speaker 13: your Sunday show, the Jesus Show.
- 32:16Speaker 2: Thank you to that end.
- 32:18Speaker 13: You are much more of an expert on scripture than
- 32:20Speaker 13: so many other people, especially me, And I think you know,
- 32:24Speaker 13: but Christmas and the birth of Christ being celebrated on
- 32:27Speaker 13: the twenty fifth and the twelve days.
- 32:29Speaker 2: Of Christmas that's not in scripture? Is it that we
- 32:32Speaker 2: created that?
- 32:33Speaker 13: Can you help me understand twelve days of Christmas and
- 32:36Speaker 13: where it is in scripture?
- 32:37Speaker 2: Sure? First of all, Christ was not born in December.
- 32:42Speaker 2: That came later, and that was people. That was the
- 32:45Speaker 2: church modifying days to correspond with pagan holidays to kind
- 32:50Speaker 2: of scooch them aside and take It's really weird when
- 32:54Speaker 2: you go back to their history of Christianity or any
- 32:57Speaker 2: religion that is trying to trying to rise to prominence
- 33:03Speaker 2: and with the people. So you get governments involved in
- 33:06Speaker 2: all kinds of things that do that. But the Church
- 33:09Speaker 2: was heavily involved in those days. So as far as
- 33:12Speaker 2: the Twelve Days, it's actually people think it's leading up
- 33:14Speaker 2: to Christmas, it's not. It's after Christmas. It's twelve days
- 33:18Speaker 2: after Christmas, so December twenty fifth through January sixth, which
- 33:22Speaker 2: is corresponding with the Epiphany. So there's a lot of
- 33:28Speaker 2: myths around this. Does it come from scripture, No, But
- 33:31Speaker 2: do they tie it into prophecies or New Testament things
- 33:34Speaker 2: like that. Absolutely they do, and there's even those that
- 33:38Speaker 2: try and make meaning. There are beliefs that the song
- 33:43Speaker 2: the Twelve Days of Christmas were code. They were a
- 33:48Speaker 2: song that was sung in code when being a Christian
- 33:52Speaker 2: was not a good thing, and so they had to
- 33:54Speaker 2: pass it along. So it goes thusly. The partridge in
- 33:58Speaker 2: a pear tree is Christ himself. Two turtle doves is
- 34:01Speaker 2: the Old and New Testament. Three French hands is faith,
- 34:04Speaker 2: hope and charity, that type of thing, and it goes
- 34:06Speaker 2: on through all of them. The twelve Drummers drumming is
- 34:12Speaker 2: the tribes of Israel or the Apostles. The fact of
- 34:15Speaker 2: the matter is that's got very little historical you know history,
- 34:23Speaker 2: it's not it's been debunked. It's an old English folk
- 34:27Speaker 2: song and later on people put meaning to it. But
- 34:30Speaker 2: that's pretty much what it comes down to. As far
- 34:32Speaker 2: as the twelve Days of Christmas.
- 34:37Speaker 9: Booms, Happy New Year to Dana from Vendora. What a
- 34:42Speaker 9: breath of fresh air. Neil and the gang with people
- 34:46Speaker 9: are able to finish a sentence, and the jokes are
- 34:49Speaker 9: actually funny. Anyway, My question is why is it now
- 34:53Speaker 9: the newscasters say across the world instead of around the world,
- 34:58Speaker 9: Thanks bye, oh God.
- 35:00Speaker 2: She had a lovely voice. I could listen to her
- 35:02Speaker 2: all day.
- 35:02Speaker 3: It's very soothing.
- 35:03Speaker 2: It's de Laila, and thank you for the kind words.
- 35:10Speaker 2: But I assure you you don't to say something nice.
- 35:12Speaker 2: You don't have to say something mean about namebody.
- 35:14Speaker 3: Sometimes it's sometimes I just because it.
- 35:16Speaker 2: Makes me feel weird. I don't like that when people
- 35:19Speaker 2: I'm not filling in. I'm always here, but I don't
- 35:21Speaker 2: like when you fill in and you play something bad
- 35:23Speaker 2: about the fernal. Yeah, it just is. I don't know,
- 35:26Speaker 2: it's tacky, but I do thank you. It's very sweet,
- 35:29Speaker 2: and yes, we are so much funnier than Nandal, but
- 35:33Speaker 2: so heather around the world versus across the world.
- 35:38Speaker 3: You know, I think it honestly just comes down to
- 35:40Speaker 3: who's writing it. Yeah, Earth society, Yeah, but our society.
- 35:44Speaker 3: I would say a couple of things here. One, we
- 35:46Speaker 3: have writers and editors that were for us. Brian is
- 35:50Speaker 3: one of our writers. He's working today keeping the engine
- 35:52Speaker 3: going and helping me stay on top of the news today.
- 35:55Speaker 3: Brian's from Australia, so sometimes he might he uses words
- 35:59Speaker 3: in his writing that throw me off a little bit
- 36:01Speaker 3: because they're very Australian. I want to like he's punching
- 36:04Speaker 3: the air right now, going no, I don't. I don't
- 36:07Speaker 3: know what. But sometimes he'll throw words and like he
- 36:13Speaker 3: has the word tipped in a story today, and I'm like,
- 36:16Speaker 3: I would never use the word tipped, but I said it.
- 36:19Speaker 2: What do you mean tipped?
- 36:20Speaker 3: He said it, something was tipped. I'll have to look
- 36:23Speaker 3: up what story. I was get tipped over something? No,
- 36:26Speaker 3: it tipped, some kind of flooding. I'll have to I'll
- 36:28Speaker 3: look up the story and tell you. But so it
- 36:31Speaker 3: depends on the writer. Sometimes people just write from their
- 36:34Speaker 3: perspective and what words they use. But also sometimes we
- 36:37Speaker 3: are tired of saying the same things over and over again.
- 36:39Speaker 3: So maybe we want to challenge ourselves to try something
- 36:42Speaker 3: different and try a new word. And so we'll throw
- 36:44Speaker 3: in new words every now and then. We want to
- 36:46Speaker 3: keep it interesting for ourselves but also for you. So
- 36:49Speaker 3: maybe that's why we use it.
- 36:50Speaker 2: You're a flat earther. We didn't land on the moon either,
- 36:54Speaker 2: I suppose, all right.
- 36:55Speaker 3: I guess we went across the world. It just sounds,
- 36:58Speaker 3: you know, like across the pond. You know, it sounds
- 37:00Speaker 3: a little more fancy, Neil.
- 37:02Speaker 7: Okay, what was your honest opinion when Handel first told
- 37:07Speaker 7: you he was leaving Marjorie for a younger woman.
- 37:10Speaker 6: Oh just cares what you said to him?
- 37:13Speaker 2: M okay. So I've known Bill for thirty years and change.
- 37:18Speaker 2: I came here in ninety four and was my first
- 37:21Speaker 2: duty was as his intern. We've gotten very close. Do
- 37:25Speaker 2: we have a perfect relationship.
- 37:27Speaker 9: No.
- 37:28Speaker 2: Do we see eye to eye and everything?
- 37:30Speaker 6: No?
- 37:30Speaker 2: But I love the man. I also love Marjorie and
- 37:35Speaker 2: the girls, his twins, And I was a friend with
- 37:38Speaker 2: him and Marjorie before the girls were born. There's a
- 37:42Speaker 2: lot of a lot of garbage in that change, and
- 37:47Speaker 2: it's unfair to Lindsey in many ways because the reality
- 37:52Speaker 2: was I didn't like the way I was introduced to
- 37:55Speaker 2: her and the way everything went down personally, that's my
- 37:58Speaker 2: personal take. So I took it out on her, and
- 38:03Speaker 2: I took it out on Bill. And there's some parts
- 38:05Speaker 2: of our relationship. Bill and I are still, you know,
- 38:09Speaker 2: spit polishing, but I do love and I care for
- 38:12Speaker 2: the guy. And so Lindsay and I didn't have the
- 38:16Speaker 2: best start, but I would like to think I hope
- 38:19Speaker 2: she'd say the same thing, that we are growing together
- 38:22Speaker 2: and learning more about each other. We have similar backgrounds
- 38:24Speaker 2: in marketing and things like that. But I was bommed.
- 38:28Speaker 2: I'd be lying, as I love Marjorie and I've known
- 38:32Speaker 2: her forever and I knew them as a team, and
- 38:36Speaker 2: that's it was a shock to a lot of us,
- 38:38Speaker 2: and it the way I put that on Bill, that's
- 38:42Speaker 2: the way it was brought to our attention and the
- 38:44Speaker 2: way it went down. But you know, love ONTs what
- 38:47Speaker 2: it once, and I don't judge anybody that way. People
- 38:53Speaker 2: kind of come to the way they come, you know,
- 38:56Speaker 2: I would have done things different maybe maybe, But I
- 38:59Speaker 2: also don't know all the details, the emotional details that
- 39:02Speaker 2: went on in the home. So yeah, it was it
- 39:05Speaker 2: was a tough one, and I would be lying if
- 39:07Speaker 2: I said it wasn't. So what a great note to
- 39:09Speaker 2: end on it. Well, thank you for being honest about that.
- 39:12Speaker 3: I don't know that a lot of people would be
- 39:14Speaker 3: quite so frank, you know, because of you know, Bill
- 39:17Speaker 3: is you know, such a big deal around here, knows.
- 39:20Speaker 2: He and I talk about you know, I was not
- 39:24Speaker 2: he and I went through some rough times too. But
- 39:28Speaker 2: that's what love is. I mean, it's not perfection, it
- 39:33Speaker 2: is you know. And and let's be honest. Bill has
- 39:35Speaker 2: a lot of haters. A lot of people don't understand
- 39:38Speaker 2: what makes him great. A lot of people don't understand
- 39:41Speaker 2: why he's so praised in this industry and are jealous
- 39:45Speaker 2: of him. I'm not. I get it. I get that
- 39:49Speaker 2: he connects with people, and I think he's honest and
- 39:53Speaker 2: you know, unabashed. And it would be wrong for me
- 39:56Speaker 2: to answer that question any other way. Let's get to Well,
