When the Lake Settles Down
Dusk settles over the Lake of the Ozarks as boat traffic fades and the water quiets down for the night.
More sunset ambience from my time at the Lake of the Ozarks. This time, I set up on the dock around dusk, when the busy energy of the day starts to wind down. The speed boats and jet skis that dominated the afternoon have mostly headed in for the night, and what's left is a calmer, softer version of the lake.
Listen for the gentle wash of water against the dock and shoreline, the occasional distant engine fading out across the water, and the evening ambience settling in as the light drops…
