- 0:03access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing genuine
- 0:07issues. Brought to you by the
- 0:10hypnotherapist, demanded by celebrities, CEOs and even
- 0:14royalty. Adam Cox.
- 0:16These recordings took place live from Adam's clinic in London's
- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:42Hi. It's Adam here, and in this
- 0:45hypnosis session that you're just about to listen to, you're
- 0:48going to be listening to a session all about personal
- 0:52empowerment. And I was working with a client
- 0:55that grew up in a household. Where they were.
- 0:58Constantly gaslit and criticized and told.
- 1:02They were stupid. And a lot of control and
- 1:06coercion was taking place, using guilt and shame to manipulate
- 1:11them and because of that. They felt.
- 1:14Very vigilant against any of those kind of things.
- 1:19But also they. Felt this deep feeling that
- 1:23their value was linked to how much they do for other people
- 1:29and people pleasing is one of those side effects quite often
- 1:35of having quite. A coercive or.
- 1:40Kind of narcissistic relationship with parents.
- 1:42If you have narcissists as parents, quite often that love
- 1:47was not given unless you did something that they approved of.
- 1:51So you've got that conditioning going on and, and certainly this
- 1:55client had a deep feeling that their value was linked to the
- 1:59validation or feedback or approval of the people around
- 2:05them. What this session is all about
- 2:08is being free from that childhood conditioning.
- 2:13And there's many metaphors that I use.
- 2:15We've got metaphors in this session that link to the idea of
- 2:20empowerment, but one of the most powerful metaphors for being in
- 2:25control of your own decisions and your own way of living is
- 2:29the idea of being a sovereign. And a sovereign would be
- 2:33typically in medieval history, a king or a queen.
- 2:37They were the rulers. They, they decided how things
- 2:41were going to be. In modern days, the role of a
- 2:44sovereign is much more symbolic rather than actually powerful.
- 2:48But as a metaphor, it works. You're going to hear a hole that
- 2:52evolves into a castle, a throne, which is.
- 2:56Obviously the seat. Of a sovereign and then very,
- 2:59very powerful direct hypnotic suggestions so that they feel
- 3:04that they have permission to prioritize themselves first,
- 3:08that they can say no to those things that don't align with
- 3:11their values, That their value is not dependent on the approval
- 3:15or feedback of other people. And if you can connect or
- 3:20resonate with some of these things, then you're probably
- 3:22going to get a lot of value from this session.
- 3:25But it's quite rich in direct suggestions.
- 3:29Don't expect all of the suggestions to be relevant to
- 3:33you because they were created for the individual that I was
- 3:36working with. And on that basis, if you do
- 3:40like the idea of a bespoke session working with me, there
- 3:45will be a link in the description where you can
- 3:46schedule that free consultation call and we can have a chat to
- 3:49see if I'm the right hypnotherapist for you.
- 3:52For now though, you might benefit from this hypnosis
- 3:54session. So find a quiet, comfortable
- 3:57place where you won't be disturbed, relax and enjoy the
- 4:01session. Take a deep breath in and as you
- 4:43breathe in, breathe in that slow, long, relaxing breath.
- 4:51And as you exhale, just allow your eyelids to close.
- 4:58And as they close, feel a ripple of relaxation starting from your
- 5:07eyelids and just flowing down your face down into your neck
- 5:15and your shoulders, breathing in that relaxation.
- 5:22And as you exhale, feeling that wonderful sense of release,
- 5:33releasing tension, releasing stress, releasing worries, as
- 5:43you breathe in and breathe out, just scan your body for any
- 5:49clues. Clues of tension stored in
- 6:00muscle tissue and just allow that tension to feel like it's
- 6:09melting away. That's in.
- 6:17And the deeper you breathe, the more relaxed you become.
- 6:24And the more relaxed you become, the more you can feel that
- 6:29relaxation expanding from your chest, enabling you to breathe
- 6:36deeper than before and feel that relaxation going downwards there
- 6:43into your diaphragm. So you breathe in deeper and
- 6:50exhale for longer. That's it.
- 6:55Deeper and deeper. Relax now and as you breathe in
- 7:02and breathe out. I want you to.
- 7:05Use the power of your imagination to imagine a Meadow
- 7:13of lush grass surrounded by ancient trees, oak trees, Willow
- 7:25trees, trees that are hundreds of years old.
- 7:32But you're there in the Meadow, and I want you to imagine you're
- 7:40under blue skies, fluffy white clouds, walking barefoot on the
- 7:48soft grass, breathing in relaxation.
- 7:55And as you slowly exhale, allow your body to relax even deeper.
- 8:09Just allow your shoulders to feel they're releasing that
- 8:15tension loosening. Feel your jaw relax even more as
- 8:24you allow your mind to quieten. Each breath draws you deeper and
- 8:36deeper into a place of stillness, the kind of place
- 8:43where change happens not through effort, but through intentions
- 8:49and choices. Here in this space, I want you
- 8:57to recall something that deep down you've always known to be
- 9:04true, even if you were told the opposite.
- 9:10You are not broken, in fact, the very opposite.
- 9:19You are becoming stronger, wiser in this journey of healing and
- 9:27evolution. You are elevating to an enhanced
- 9:35version, a version that gets you closer to your true potential
- 9:43and capability. I want you to imagine a
- 9:53comfortable chair there in the Meadow Meadow.
- 9:57Most comfortable chair you can imagine.
- 10:01Imagine sitting and sinking into that chair, feeling the warm sun
- 10:10on your skin. And maybe there was sounds of
- 10:15nature, maybe the smell of the Meadow and the nearby trees.
- 10:28As if with every breath you are taking a step down, deeper down
- 10:39to a calmer, quieter place within yourself.
- 10:44The kind of place where truth lives and thrives.
- 10:50The kind of place where all the noise fades, particularly the
- 10:56noise of your own thoughts. Where the true empowered voice
- 11:05becomes the loudest. Imagine drifting off to a
- 11:14dreamlike sleep. There, on that chair, in that
- 11:19Meadow and in your dream, I want you to imagine solid foundations
- 11:30upon which is built a Great Hall and part of that whole.
- 11:39There are tall pillars rising up into the sky.
- 11:44I want you to imagine in between the pillars you can see sunlight
- 11:53pouring through you. Feel safe here, calm here,
- 12:03empowered here. This whole represents your mind,
- 12:11vast, strong and sacred. And in the centre of this space,
- 12:19I want you to imagine a throne. Not just any throne.
- 12:26This is a seat of your sovereignty, the place from
- 12:34which you decide what matters, what to carry and what to lay
- 12:42down, what to believe and what to let go of.
- 12:50And as you walk towards this throne, something shifts as you
- 12:57remember you are not here to be small, you are here to choose.
- 13:12And as you sit in this place of pure empowerment, imagine a new
- 13:21story, a new narrative is beginning to take root.
- 13:32Imagine this throne feels even more relaxed than the chair in
- 13:35the Meadow. Imagine as you hear words, seeds
- 13:42are being planted deep in your subconscious mind.
- 13:47Words that will take root and empower you to become even more
- 14:00evolved and enhanced, steering your life in the very direction
- 14:05that you choose. It is safe for you to not know
- 14:15something. You will believe that curiosity
- 14:20is a strength, not a weakness, and you learn best when you
- 14:30allow yourself to explore without fear or pressure.
- 14:38And each new skill you learn adds and enhances your value.
- 14:47You don't need to start perfectly to become excellent.
- 14:54In fact, you need to start as a white belt before you can become
- 15:00a black belt in anything at all. You realize that your worth is
- 15:11not tied to what you know, produce, or prove.
- 15:17Your value is stable and inherent.
- 15:25Feel that it's finally time to let go of that old belief that
- 15:32love must be earned through perfection or performance.
- 15:37Imagine discarding it like an old item of clothing that just
- 15:43doesn't fit you anymore. It's safe for you to do your
- 15:52fair share. You don't need to carry the
- 15:56weight of the world. Doing what is necessary is
- 16:03sometimes much more advantageous than doing everything in your
- 16:11power. You do your share unless you
- 16:17decide you want to do more. Missing a deadline does not mean
- 16:25you failed. It's just a moment, not a
- 16:31judgement of your worthiness. Allow some of these ideas to
- 16:38start taking root, like grass seeds in the Meadow.
- 16:47Give permission to yourself to prioritize your long term growth
- 16:56over short term pressure. They say the squeaky wheel gets
- 17:03the oil, but you are more interested in where the vehicle
- 17:11is heading. Keep your eye on the future that
- 17:15you desire. It's fine to work hard, to train
- 17:21hard, but it is also safe and in fact necessary for you to rest,
- 17:34to protect your boundaries, to say no, to conserve your energy.
- 17:46It is not your responsibility for making everyone happy.
- 17:53It's not your job. You can enjoy and appreciate it
- 17:58when it happens, but it's not a burden for you to bear.
- 18:07And in those moments when someone doesn't believe you, you
- 18:12just need to know your truth. Other people's perspective of
- 18:17the world doesn't have to exactly match yours.
- 18:23If you believe in your truth, then your truth remains intact
- 18:31because your credibility comes from within, not from other
- 18:38people's approval. And when you realize that you
- 18:45can stay calm and grounded even when others question or
- 18:51misunderstand you, that is a reflection of them, not a
- 18:59reflection of you. As you sit there on that throne,
- 19:09you realize you are sovereign and you no longer need to react
- 19:17to gaslighting. You can choose clarity or walk
- 19:23away, physically or psychologically.
- 19:31You feel empowered to protect your boundaries because your
- 19:36voice matters irrespective of whether it is validated.
- 19:45In fact, the expectations of others do not define your value.
- 19:56Give yourself permission to learn, to be that learner, to
- 20:05grow, to experiment and to evolve.
- 20:12And each and every time that you honour yourself, you are
- 20:20healing. Upon what wants felt unseen or
- 20:27unheard. That is when you build on your
- 20:32strong foundations and you can trust yourself to know what's
- 20:39yours to carry and what isn't. And those old statements,
- 20:45judgements or criticisms, even moments of shame from your past,
- 20:53they're not yours to carry. So put them down.
- 21:00You've carried them for too long now.
- 21:06You no longer confuse over functioning with love.
- 21:13It's time to choose balance, boundaries, and freedom.
- 21:18And there is no freedom without boundaries.
- 21:24You can't say yes to everything and still be free, but you can
- 21:33choose what you prioritize so you commit fully to the tasks
- 21:40and responsibilities that truly matter, and have the ability to
- 21:47switch off when you don't. And when something is aligned
- 21:56with your goals, your values, your focus becomes powerful and
- 22:03effortless as you're reminded that if you could be dedicated,
- 22:10disciplined for others, you can do that for yourself.
- 22:17You prioritize yourself above your work.
- 22:22And in doing so, don't be surprised if your work is also
- 22:27enhanced. But that's a side effect of you
- 22:33prioritizing yourself. Imagine there's a switch in your
- 22:40mind. If it's outside of certain times
- 22:46or environments, just imagine being able to flip that on,
- 22:52switch off. What you're willing to give full
- 22:57attention and energy to at one point becomes meaningless at a
- 23:04different point, because you prioritize your well-being and
- 23:12your personal life just as much as work.
- 23:17Because both matter. And you're free to say not now,
- 23:25not mine, simply no to demands that don't align with your
- 23:33priorities. And when you choose to rest,
- 23:39this is still being proactive because recovery is a form of
- 23:50power. Anyone that trains knows that
- 23:56recovery is just as important as the workout.
- 24:03Rest leads to growth. As you sit there on the throne,
- 24:11you realise that you are in control of your time, your
- 24:17energy and your attention. No one else has that power, only
- 24:27you. That's why you're the sovereign.
- 24:34You hold all the power relating to you.
- 24:42This power is strength, and balance is not a weakness.
- 24:49It's finally understanding that it's mastery and you are
- 24:54becoming the master of your energy, knowing when to conserve
- 25:00it and when to deploy it in a directly proportionate way to
- 25:07your goals, your values, to what you want for your life.
- 25:17As you sit there on the throne, I want you to imagine what this
- 25:22new empowered, sovereign version of you would look like over the
- 25:27next few days and weeks. Maybe you could imagine a moment
- 25:35just a few days from now. Imagine yourself presented with
- 25:40a task, a deadline, or a demand. But instead of seeing yourself
- 25:45defaulting into panic, people pleasing or pressure, see
- 25:51yourself pausing. And in that pause, observe how
- 25:57you make a new evaluation, the ability to be discerning, to
- 26:04prioritize. Is this mine?
- 26:10Does this matter to me? These are the thoughts that
- 26:14enable you to be fully engaged when it matters to you, and
- 26:19ambivalent when it doesn't. Because when it is important to
- 26:24you, you rise with full presence, focused, unstoppable.
- 26:33But if the answer is no, and it doesn't matter to you, you step
- 26:37aside without guilt, without fear, without apology.
- 26:49You are no longer owned by old scripts.
- 26:53You are the author now, and your story is changing because you
- 27:01are. Future chapters are already
- 27:06being rewritten because you are the author of your story and you
- 27:15simply want it to be a different way now.
- 27:18I want you to imagine leaving that throne with a new feeling
- 27:29of empowerment, discernment and energy.
- 27:39Notice the hall is now changed to a castle.
- 27:44Castle filled with resources to handle any difficulty, any
- 27:49siege. And as you walk away from the
- 27:57hall and the castle, I want you to imagine seeing a Meadow, and
- 28:04in that Meadow, seeing a chair, and in that chair seeing someone
- 28:09that looks exactly like you in a dream, like sleep, and step into
- 28:16that version of you feeling that same sense of empowerment, of
- 28:24autonomy, of discernment. And then imagine leaving that
- 28:29chair and walking barefoot across the soft grass of the
- 28:35Meadow and then floating, floating up above the Meadow all
- 28:42the way back to your physical body.
- 28:45Now, very soon I will count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 28:55And you will awaken with all of the resources necessary to be in
- 29:00control of your destiny. So take a deep breath in through
- 29:06your nose and out through your nose.
- 29:12Just wiggle your fingers, wiggle your toes, start to connect and
- 29:15calibrate into the here and the now.
- 29:19That's it. Starting to count. 123 waking up
- 29:24456 more alert. 7-8 Open your eyes, Open your eyes 910 Wide
