- 1:29Speaker 3: What's going on? Los Angeles is infested with rats more
- 1:33Speaker 3: than any city in the United States. Apparently we tried
- 1:37Speaker 3: to have Kathy the rats are on last year. She
- 1:40Speaker 3: refused or didn't get the memo. I don't know what happened,
- 1:43Speaker 3: but maybe we can get her out here. It's just
- 1:46Speaker 3: my ultimate nightmare. What else is going on? My mom
- 1:50Speaker 3: was in town over the weekend. I went to an
- 1:54Speaker 3: estate sale and it was just full of boring garbage.
- 2:00Speaker 3: I'm glad that person's dead. And I think that's everything
- 2:03Speaker 3: I saw that Christin Sewart has kind of a blunt bang.
- 2:06Speaker 4: Now.
- 2:06Speaker 3: I saw that online most recently, and I don't know
- 2:10Speaker 3: if it's working or not working for her. Who cares?
- 2:13Speaker 3: Is there? Oh? Patreon? Patreon continues to exist. The entertainment
- 2:18Speaker 3: industry is on fire. Join us at Patreon. There's all
- 2:23Speaker 3: kinds of wonderful. I'm doing too much work over there.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Now We've got an episode with my mom. I mean,
- 2:28Speaker 3: that's what people wanted, and so I did it, and
- 2:30Speaker 3: then I did.
- 2:30Speaker 5: A sleep tape.
- 2:31Speaker 3: I mean, I'm doing The amount of work is probably wrong.
- 2:36Speaker 3: So come over join us. We'll have a good time.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Is there anything else in my notes?
- 2:43Speaker 4: No?
- 2:43Speaker 3: I don't think so. No, I think I've covered everything.
- 2:47Speaker 3: My mom was in town and we had a nice time.
- 2:49Speaker 3: We went to Huntington Gardens. If you're ever in Los Angeles,
- 2:52Speaker 3: or if you're ever a parent in Los Angeles, that's
- 2:56Speaker 3: a few hours. Okay, so let's get into the show.
- 2:59Speaker 3: I love to day's guests. It's Hayes Davenport and Sean Clement's.
- 3:02Speaker 5: Bridger Hill, no gifts. Thank you so much, thanks for
- 3:07Speaker 5: having us.
- 3:08Speaker 3: Yeah, it feels like it's been a very very long
- 3:10Speaker 3: time coming.
- 3:15Speaker 5: You You reached out at some point and it just
- 3:17Speaker 5: got it got washed out to see and all over
- 3:20Speaker 5: on all the going.
- 3:21Speaker 4: So many emails tend to do more and more. They
- 3:25Speaker 4: just you know, and I think we responded. I think
- 3:30Speaker 4: it was like, yeah, we'd love to do the show,
- 3:31Speaker 4: and then it was like, okay, let's get into scheduling,
- 3:33Speaker 4: and then we were like no, just is it just
- 3:37Speaker 4: wanting to do the show enough.
- 3:39Speaker 3: I actually kind of think that is as long as
- 3:41Speaker 3: the person was like, oh I would, in theory do
- 3:44Speaker 3: the show.
- 3:45Speaker 5: Sounds good. Obviously I'm not gonna do the.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Show the work itself, Yeah, but it's the thought that's nice.
- 3:51Speaker 5: Tell me about the rats, Bridger.
- 3:53Speaker 3: The rats are apparently more than New York more than
- 3:57Speaker 3: New York. Okay, I don't know how many rats.
- 4:02Speaker 5: Larger land area.
- 4:04Speaker 3: That's true. That's where we get into some weird it's
- 4:07Speaker 3: new numbers on the rats new numbers. Apparently it's all
- 4:11Speaker 3: over the news, okay.
- 4:13Speaker 5: Because they started they started to put my news.
- 4:15Speaker 4: From the news as I'm sure we'll talk.
- 4:17Speaker 3: About you look to friends. Yeah, family, I come here,
- 4:23Speaker 3: you come to the well making the right choice.
- 4:26Speaker 4: Anything utility from the news to you, I go, this
- 4:29Speaker 4: is probably what they're the blunt bang and all that.
- 4:32Speaker 3: You know, have you had any experiences with rats in La?
- 4:35Speaker 5: We had, I mean they we had rats outside. Okay.
- 4:40Speaker 5: They call them tree rats.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Which is way worse than a regular rat.
- 4:44Speaker 5: They sounded big. You could really hear them rustling.
- 4:48Speaker 4: We got we got them. I mean, they're definitely so
- 4:52Speaker 4: if you're in my backyard, there's like our neighbor has
- 4:56Speaker 4: fruit trees and the rats are in there, and then
- 4:59Speaker 4: there's like wire like you know, like electric wires or
- 5:02Speaker 4: whatever that they walk across. But we had this cat
- 5:05Speaker 4: that he was like a feral cat who lived across
- 5:08Speaker 4: the street, and I guess had decimated enough of the
- 5:13Speaker 4: rats population there that he started coming over to our yard,
- 5:17Speaker 4: and god, he used to just go to town on
- 5:19Speaker 4: the rat's He has since passed, But man, I loved
- 5:23Speaker 4: that cat and he would you'd be you know, we
- 5:25Speaker 4: had a fire pit and something I'd be entertaining. I'd
- 5:27Speaker 4: have friends over in one sitting, one conversation, he'd bring
- 5:31Speaker 4: you three four rats as a little presentation of like
- 5:34Speaker 4: I'm earning my keep here.
- 5:36Speaker 3: You know how big were the rats?
- 5:39Speaker 4: Oh they varied in size.
- 5:40Speaker 3: Yeah, healthy rats.
- 5:42Speaker 4: Yeah they looked Oh they looked like they were thriving,
- 5:44Speaker 4: but they weren't. They weren't like gigantic.
- 5:46Speaker 3: But yeah, we have some some sort of cat colony
- 5:49Speaker 3: is happening around our area. And I'm not going to
- 5:51Speaker 3: stand in the way. Why, I mean, they're taking care
- 5:54Speaker 3: of my least favorite creature. The rats are the cats.
- 5:58Speaker 5: The rats.
- 5:59Speaker 3: I haven't seen it knock on wood. No rats near
- 6:02Speaker 3: my home. But I've experienced plenty of rats in la
- 6:04Speaker 3: at restaurants.
- 6:07Speaker 5: Across at a restaurant, it ran across your foot.
- 6:11Speaker 3: Well those are separate exposed in New York. Yeah, foot
- 6:15Speaker 3: in shoe outside of Ralph's, Okay, and then at a restaurant,
- 6:18Speaker 3: will have to beep it out. But and of course
- 6:20Speaker 3: there are rats. Every location of this restaurant has rats.
- 6:25Speaker 5: You know what it is. They have kind of and
- 6:26Speaker 5: we will bleep it out. But they have kind of
- 6:28Speaker 5: a natural vibe in there, you know. I think it's
- 6:32Speaker 5: sort of designed to be like infused with the with
- 6:36Speaker 5: the outdoors.
- 6:39Speaker 4: People that work there seem like they may have a
- 6:42Speaker 4: relationship with the rats. And it's not you know, there
- 6:47Speaker 4: or bad, but they seem like they would be open.
- 6:51Speaker 3: To creating rats playground.
- 6:54Speaker 5: And you saw one there.
- 6:56Speaker 3: Yes, okay, so inside I've been. First of all, I
- 6:58Speaker 3: say we've beated thet so I'll just say it's a
- 7:00Speaker 3: horrible restaurant.
- 7:01Speaker 4: We'll have to bleep it. But yeah, it's really not
- 7:04Speaker 4: a good place. And it comes up if you're just
- 7:07Speaker 4: looking at like open table, like can I go somewhere
- 7:09Speaker 4: near here that seems like okay, like sort of nice.
- 7:12Speaker 4: You'll end up there and you'll go, how did this
- 7:15Speaker 4: happen to me?
- 7:15Speaker 3: Again? It's airport food. Yes, it's very airport bar food.
- 7:20Speaker 3: And there are rats in the trees. I've been to
- 7:23Speaker 3: two different locations, never my idea, and both times there
- 7:27Speaker 3: have been rats.
- 7:28Speaker 5: They shouldn't have trees and.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Don't yeah, trees all over the place and food picked
- 7:34Speaker 3: one or the other.
- 7:35Speaker 4: The table, the wood is for the table. You shouldn't
- 7:38Speaker 4: be alive and just hanging out.
- 7:40Speaker 3: I don't want live wood near my food.
- 7:42Speaker 5: No dead would have you ever read?
- 7:46Speaker 4: So there's an interesting article about the rat population specifically
- 7:50Speaker 4: in the Palisades from a few years back. And there
- 7:53Speaker 4: was a woman who was actually one of our first
- 7:56Speaker 4: show runner, David Goodman's neighbors, who's like an older widow
- 8:01Speaker 4: who had just been feeding the rats in her backyard.
- 8:04Speaker 4: And so there ended up being like thousands of them
- 8:07Speaker 4: that would congregate in this yard, and ultimately the neighbors
- 8:10Speaker 4: started to realize like, oh, we are ground zero for
- 8:13Speaker 4: like a massive, massive portion of the rats in Los Angeles.
- 8:18Speaker 4: And then I think she passed away, and then that
- 8:22Speaker 4: yard just had these rats that started spreading through the neighborhood.
- 8:27Speaker 4: But it's an interesting article. I'll see if I can
- 8:29Speaker 4: find it for you.
- 8:30Speaker 5: They probably vaporized her as soon as she went.
- 8:34Speaker 4: Oh yeah, god, don't you think No, I don't think
- 8:37Speaker 4: she was decomposing naturally. I think the rats were helping out.
- 8:41Speaker 5: It was like these times little foxes.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Yes, exactly, just this old woman's skeleton lying in the grass.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Do we know what was she feeding the rats on purpose?
- 8:52Speaker 3: Or was she like all animals? And then just happened
- 8:54Speaker 3: to be rats.
- 8:55Speaker 4: I think she ultimately was like, knew it was rats,
- 8:59Speaker 4: Like it wasn't just she was putting food out. She
- 9:01Speaker 4: was like, I don't know, like people feed the pigeons
- 9:04Speaker 4: or the you know. She was just like, Yeah, these
- 9:07Speaker 4: these animals are coming to me, these furry animals, and
- 9:10Speaker 4: I'm just gonna kind of give them what they're looking for.
- 9:12Speaker 3: What a legacy, yeah, and what a prank.
- 9:15Speaker 5: But You've had a lot of experiences for someone that
- 9:18Speaker 5: seems to have a particular antipathy for these things. I
- 9:22Speaker 5: don't think I've ever had a single one run over
- 9:24Speaker 5: my foot.
- 9:25Speaker 3: I'm drawing them to me. Yeah, I was walking to
- 9:28Speaker 3: when I used to live down in mid City, walking
- 9:30Speaker 3: to Ralphs. One ran up the curb and over my foot.
- 9:33Speaker 3: I then spent an hour in Ralphs. I didn't need
- 9:35Speaker 3: groceries in the first place.
- 9:37Speaker 4: It seems like Hayes is saying it's time for some accountability.
- 9:40Speaker 3: On my part. Yes, yeah, I feel like that I'm
- 9:42Speaker 3: probably not doing what I should be doing to avoid rats.
- 9:46Speaker 3: I mean I've run into them in New York. I've
- 9:48Speaker 3: opened a garbage can to have a rat run out.
- 9:51Speaker 3: I mean, I don't actually don't know what I'm doing.
- 9:54Speaker 4: This is where we like flash back and we realized
- 9:57Speaker 4: that the sign that you thought said ralphs just said rats.
- 10:02Speaker 4: I said, yes, that you were going two rats.
- 10:09Speaker 3: There's a chance, there's a chance where I have a
- 10:10Speaker 3: few crumbs in my pocket. I'm doing something. I am
- 10:14Speaker 3: to blame here. But then there's another restaurant in Silver Lake.
- 10:19Speaker 3: I love their food, but the parking lot was just
- 10:22Speaker 3: jumping rats. So I let them know, and they said,
- 10:25Speaker 3: the city opened up the street and the rats came out,
- 10:27Speaker 3: and there's nothing we can.
- 10:28Speaker 5: Do covered up. Yeah, they're not supposed to open the
- 10:35Speaker 5: lid of the streets.
- 10:37Speaker 4: I learned something interesting the other day about why you know,
- 10:40Speaker 4: when they open up like a trench in the city
- 10:42Speaker 4: and it stays open forever. You probably know this already
- 10:45Speaker 4: why it stays open so long? Right, So if like,
- 10:48Speaker 4: let's say whatever, the Department of Water and Power needs
- 10:53Speaker 4: to open the street for some reason and they dig
- 10:55Speaker 4: out this huge trench and they open it, every other
- 10:59Speaker 4: public works to apartment has a window of like sixty
- 11:02Speaker 4: days to decide if they want to go in that
- 11:04Speaker 4: hole and do something too, So they so like they
- 11:07Speaker 4: finish their work in two or three days. But they
- 11:08Speaker 4: have to leave it open because there's like an open
- 11:11Speaker 4: ticket where it's like, do you guys have anything you
- 11:12Speaker 4: want to do, because we don't want to open another
- 11:14Speaker 4: hole a month from now, right, And then I think
- 11:17Speaker 4: often no one does. No one probably even sees it,
- 11:20Speaker 4: but they just leave it open for a long time.
- 11:22Speaker 4: All the rats come out.
- 11:22Speaker 3: It kind of makes sense.
- 11:24Speaker 5: The list of infrastructure replacements is like really really long, yeah,
- 11:28Speaker 5: and mostly they just wait until it explodes, and it's like,
- 11:31Speaker 5: you know, whatever, the water main is like shooting in
- 11:34Speaker 5: the air, shooting because some of those pipes are like
- 11:36Speaker 5: one hundred years old, and so yeah, if one that
- 11:40Speaker 5: makes sense, if one's open.
- 11:42Speaker 4: Why not make it a hundred It was like I
- 11:44Speaker 4: was gonna like.
- 11:45Speaker 5: For a pipe away for a pipe pipes. Of course,
- 11:51Speaker 5: they're a hundred years in this guy's house. One hundred years.
- 11:55Speaker 4: It feels like you're not invited to your wheels like that.
- 11:58Speaker 5: It feels like a fresh pipe to this.
- 12:01Speaker 3: But why not make a list of people who want
- 12:03Speaker 3: to get in the hole before opening the hole and say,
- 12:06Speaker 3: you know, line up, let's all do that, rather than
- 12:08Speaker 3: open the hole and then talk to him everybody go
- 12:11Speaker 3: hog wire.
- 12:14Speaker 5: You got to get over there and open up that hole.
- 12:16Speaker 5: You don't have time to make a list.
- 12:18Speaker 4: I think when they are opening the hole, they are
- 12:20Speaker 4: doing it and sort of an emergency s duty where
- 12:22Speaker 4: it's like everything is exploding down here.
- 12:24Speaker 3: The one hundred year old pipes are one hundred year
- 12:26Speaker 3: old pipes. If you had any sort of pipe issues
- 12:29Speaker 3: in your homes, what like, what if you had to
- 12:31Speaker 3: do any major repairs. Sure, I'm worried about this in
- 12:35Speaker 3: my home.
- 12:35Speaker 4: Well, when we got our house, which is over one
- 12:38Speaker 4: hundred years old, which of course the oldest thing in
- 12:41Speaker 4: the world be Haze ancient history, the electrician came in
- 12:45Speaker 4: and he was like, so the wiring is the original wiring.
- 12:49Speaker 4: It was kind of wiring called knob and tube, which
- 12:51Speaker 4: is like that the wires are not insulated basically, and
- 12:55Speaker 4: he was like, so your entire attic is just open
- 13:00Speaker 4: fire sitting on insulation.
- 13:01Speaker 5: Oh my god, So it just you're just.
- 13:05Speaker 4: Begging for fire. And so they were like, you have
- 13:09Speaker 4: to completely redo like every element of the electrical you know,
- 13:15Speaker 4: infrastructure of your home. And then of course like all
- 13:19Speaker 4: the codes have changed, and so it means like you
- 13:21Speaker 4: have to like add all these outs, you need these
- 13:23Speaker 4: special whatever kinds of fuses and all that, and it's
- 13:26Speaker 4: still never you know, to this day, if you turn
- 13:30Speaker 4: on the microwave in the kitchen, it seems like there's
- 13:33Speaker 4: like a lightning storm happening inside the house. So you
- 13:35Speaker 4: have to like microwave things with the lights off, and
- 13:37Speaker 4: then you because the wirings all screwed up.
- 13:40Speaker 3: That to me, I would just have to I would
- 13:42Speaker 3: just ignore. I would just say I would rather the
- 13:44Speaker 3: house burn down than spend all that money.
- 13:46Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean maybe we should have just
- 13:49Speaker 4: let the house burn Yeah.
- 13:51Speaker 5: Maybe, yeah.
- 13:52Speaker 3: I don't know what am I doing for anybody? That's
- 13:56Speaker 3: a great question. You know, what have you tuben up
- 13:58Speaker 3: to outside of thinking about my situation with the rats?
- 14:02Speaker 5: And gosh, I mean we've been we've been just podcasting
- 14:06Speaker 5: our little noggins off you break.
- 14:09Speaker 4: Up Patreon, PTSD.
- 14:14Speaker 5: Patre Patreon always comes like whimpering next to the table,
- 14:18Speaker 5: doesn't it.
- 14:18Speaker 4: They always want to.
- 14:19Speaker 3: Scrap throw them something, some little piece of meat.
- 14:24Speaker 5: We we've been doing our show a long time, bridge
- 14:26Speaker 5: and so of you.
- 14:27Speaker 3: I mean not as that you have ten years, probably longer.
- 14:30Speaker 5: I mean probably probably ten years definitely more.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Yeah, but you're just getting into the hat game.
- 14:38Speaker 5: Well, I mean yes, over the scope of the show, yes,
- 14:43Speaker 5: and gosh, I mean I thought, should we just bring
- 14:46Speaker 5: that it?
- 14:47Speaker 4: Should we have just brought a Yeah, that's whatever, That's
- 14:50Speaker 4: what everyone they're expecting.
- 14:52Speaker 5: You can't give these things away.
- 14:54Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, you're making money.
- 14:55Speaker 5: It's our business or such your lively. Yeah, you have
- 14:59Speaker 5: hats that uh hat pack hat Biz is it still
- 15:04Speaker 5: hat pack that bis I'm sure we still have that.
- 15:06Speaker 4: Yeah, I think so hat Pack.
- 15:08Speaker 5: Producer, the same one that biffed the scheduling. Sure, like
- 15:11Speaker 5: a funny U R L or something.
- 15:14Speaker 4: Yeah, we couldn't get just hat pack. Like if you
- 15:19Speaker 4: just google like hat pack, it's like spelled pac and
- 15:22Speaker 4: it's some other you know, I don't know, evil, some
- 15:26Speaker 4: sort of right wing company or something you're not giving
- 15:28Speaker 4: money too, I don't know, but or left wing. I mean,
- 15:32Speaker 4: everybody's bad, but you're at both sides, just like it's
- 15:39Speaker 4: just all extreams so much extreme damn fucking clown car
- 15:45Speaker 4: both lanes.
- 15:47Speaker 5: But the hats. Yeah, I really generated a sense of community.
- 15:52Speaker 5: Owning the hat offers not just a hat, but also
- 15:55Speaker 5: membership in the hat pack.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Oh, I didn't realize there's a members.
- 16:00Speaker 5: An exclusive community. Yeah, so people that own the hat
- 16:04Speaker 5: and they see each other in the hat, they can
- 16:07Speaker 5: they can connect, they can bond if they want to.
- 16:10Speaker 5: Most of the people in the hat are not like
- 16:13Speaker 5: connectors in that way. You know.
- 16:15Speaker 4: I believe that loneliness epidemic.
- 16:18Speaker 3: There is aleliness.
- 16:19Speaker 4: And there's also a male listener base for the show. Sure,
- 16:23Speaker 4: and so we just thought like, oh, we can really,
- 16:26Speaker 4: we can really reach this community.
- 16:28Speaker 3: We're really exploiting some lonely men.
- 16:29Speaker 4: They are that's who listens, and uh, you know, we
- 16:33Speaker 4: kind of carved out we're the one podcast that lonely
- 16:36Speaker 4: men like. So yeah, we decided like, let's give them
- 16:40Speaker 4: something sort of a signal, a flare they can send
- 16:43Speaker 4: to each other with this hat.
- 16:45Speaker 3: Speaking of male loneliness, I won't say that the person's name,
- 16:48Speaker 3: but I recently heard a rumor about a celebrity having
- 16:50Speaker 3: an AI girlfriend. I don't know if you've heard any
- 16:51Speaker 3: of these rumors about celebrities girlfriends. Yeah, apparently there's a
- 16:57Speaker 3: celebrity who has an AI girlfriend and it is kind
- 17:00Speaker 3: of pushing the AI girlfriend on the people he works with.
- 17:03Speaker 3: It's an interesting I don't know how that works or
- 17:06Speaker 3: if it's true.
- 17:07Speaker 5: Trying to get them to maybe join their thing, maybe.
- 17:13Speaker 3: Into the situation.
- 17:14Speaker 4: What does that mean? I can't imagine having named of.
- 17:17Speaker 5: Course, the girlfriend is named Simone with a one and
- 17:21Speaker 5: a simon classic Simone and I are kind of interested
- 17:26Speaker 5: in your vibes like a coold fit.
- 17:29Speaker 3: What was the wood?
- 17:32Speaker 4: What was the premise of Simone? Yes, way, it was
- 17:34Speaker 4: an AI actress.
- 17:36Speaker 5: That never created.
- 17:37Speaker 4: Oh okay, kind of I have a loose I'm going
- 17:43Speaker 4: to get details wrong. Alpaccino he's like an aging movie
- 17:51Speaker 4: producer or director of some kind, and uh he maybe
- 17:59Speaker 4: they who's the actress for a movie or something. But
- 18:02Speaker 4: he decides that they can simulate an actress, like they
- 18:05Speaker 4: can have a computer generated actress named Simone, simulation one
- 18:12Speaker 4: who then Telly Norwood style. They just kind of say, like,
- 18:17Speaker 4: this is an actress now, and they're using not just
- 18:21Speaker 4: screen images, but like she's doing like hologram like public
- 18:26Speaker 4: appearances and stuff. So she's not a man and they
- 18:28Speaker 4: know and they've generated sort of a backstory. Maybe she's
- 18:33Speaker 4: even dating someone, but they but she becomes a phenomenon,
- 18:37Speaker 4: uh and is is the lead of the movie, and
- 18:40Speaker 4: then they're in this pickle of like, now we have
- 18:43Speaker 4: this person that doesn't exist that people are kind of
- 18:45Speaker 4: clamoring for, and it's he's feeling kind of like you
- 18:51Speaker 4: know ed Harrison the Truman Show, where he's like operating,
- 18:54Speaker 4: pulling the strings.
- 18:55Speaker 3: He's bat Yeah, she.
- 19:00Speaker 5: Imagine this twist. They reveal at the end that al
- 19:02Speaker 5: Pacino is also a Simone.
- 19:06Speaker 3: He didn't know and it's a one a the al Pacino.
- 19:12Speaker 5: So oh in your version, I was thinking of al
- 19:13Speaker 5: Pacino's character in the movie You're very They reveal at
- 19:19Speaker 5: the end that we got the idea for the this
- 19:22Speaker 5: movie is a Simon.
- 19:24Speaker 3: Inspired by the life of a one.
- 19:27Speaker 5: Would played Simone? Though, Oh, I mean it was Was
- 19:32Speaker 5: it a composite? What like? Was it a digital writer
- 19:36Speaker 5: had an actress?
- 19:37Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 19:37Speaker 3: I think it was because I had to look like
- 19:39Speaker 3: a real person for the film.
- 19:41Speaker 4: They must have hoped and then this person will become
- 19:43Speaker 4: a household name. Oh you know, and it will be like,
- 19:46Speaker 4: are we getting Simone? But I don't think do we
- 19:50Speaker 4: know if.
- 19:50Speaker 3: They had to kill Simone in the movie, did you
- 19:52Speaker 3: get out of control or was it just like world? Yeah,
- 19:55Speaker 3: exactly starts to spark and then I have to shoot her.
- 19:58Speaker 4: I feel like I watched on cable, but I'm not
- 20:01Speaker 4: sure that I was awake.
- 20:04Speaker 3: For all of it, right, or saw all of it.
- 20:07Speaker 5: Shooting a hologram, really, Davis forgetting it's a holograt.
- 20:12Speaker 4: Oh yeah, so's is holding the hologram while you shoot
- 20:17Speaker 4: the like holding her still, and then you realize like,
- 20:19Speaker 4: oh no.
- 20:20Speaker 5: She's a hologram. But she still has kind of a
- 20:23Speaker 5: metallic terminator skull underneath her face. It's like it seems
- 20:28Speaker 5: like they didn't have to render her that way.
- 20:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm kind of picturing al Pacino sadly flipping the
- 20:33Speaker 3: switch at the end of the movie, saying goodbye to
- 20:35Speaker 3: his daughter and that's But then I guess that is
- 20:38Speaker 3: what happened. But you do want to keep it open
- 20:39Speaker 3: for a sequel situ monem hmm, but I guess that
- 20:44Speaker 3: probably didn't Metadata remains, Yeah, exactly how did we get
- 20:49Speaker 3: to Simote?
- 20:50Speaker 2: I mean.
- 20:54Speaker 3: It can't be a guy. I mean we skipped right
- 20:57Speaker 3: to Megan gender swamp Simo.
- 21:04Speaker 4: Doing kind of a gender swap simone.
- 21:09Speaker 3: Sim One. Interesting. Interesting, No, I never saw that, and
- 21:13Speaker 3: it was the Truman show creator.
- 21:16Speaker 5: Right.
- 21:16Speaker 3: I feel like that was the category of what if
- 21:19Speaker 3: another holiday?
- 21:22Speaker 4: Right? Right?
- 21:23Speaker 3: And look where we are now. We're dealing with simons
- 21:25Speaker 3: around every corner.
- 21:27Speaker 5: But are these are weto this a little bit bridger
- 21:30Speaker 5: by criticizing like Kristen Stewart's blunt Bang, for example.
- 21:35Speaker 4: We didn't criticize it.
- 21:36Speaker 3: No, I said it didn't Okay, Yeah, the.
- 21:41Speaker 5: Toad was really flattering.
- 21:45Speaker 3: I love her blunt bang. I've changed my mind. It
- 21:49Speaker 3: works for her and she should have gotten it sooner.
- 21:52Speaker 3: Who knows where her career.
- 21:53Speaker 4: Would be even the praise has criticism. It's too late
- 21:57Speaker 4: for you.
- 21:57Speaker 3: Now I'm saying bad things about her career. Kristen breach out.
- 22:02Speaker 3: We could work through this. Well. Look, I've gotten myself
- 22:06Speaker 3: into a lot of hot water with Simona and Kristen Stewart.
- 22:09Speaker 3: We should move on to something I'd rather not talk about,
- 22:12Speaker 3: but I feel like we should.
- 22:14Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 22:14Speaker 3: I was excited to have you two here today. I
- 22:16Speaker 3: thought they've been in the game a long time. They
- 22:19Speaker 3: know what they're doing.
- 22:20Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 22:21Speaker 3: I can't imagine them making too many mistakes on the podcast. Yeah,
- 22:25Speaker 3: the podcast is called they said no gid no.
- 22:27Speaker 5: But it's your mistake. Bridger, like you you should know us.
- 22:30Speaker 5: You've been on our show, Like we're sort of the
- 22:34Speaker 5: rude dudes of podcast.
- 22:36Speaker 3: You're nasty, we're kind of the bad boy. Yeah, so
- 22:39Speaker 3: I was asking for it. I feel like you've come
- 22:41Speaker 3: on to blame me for almost everything, and.
- 22:42Speaker 5: We let me tell you something, Bridger. We came in here.
- 22:46Speaker 5: They asked us to put our phone on do not disturb.
- 22:49Speaker 5: Something never happened to me with.
- 22:51Speaker 3: They asked me to put it on do not disturb.
- 22:53Speaker 4: I said, well they didn't. They said, please put it
- 22:55Speaker 4: on D n D.
- 22:57Speaker 5: Yeah, but there was a QR ode. There's a QR
- 23:01Speaker 5: code that you could scan. There's a framed image of
- 23:05Speaker 5: a QR code in the green room, but you can
- 23:07Speaker 5: scan to go on Wi Fi. Yes, I didn't put
- 23:11Speaker 5: it on dn D.
- 23:13Speaker 3: You could get a call at any moment.
- 23:14Speaker 5: I didn't scan the QR code.
- 23:16Speaker 4: Whatever.
- 23:17Speaker 3: Oh I didn't scan ship. I'm always on dn D.
- 23:20Speaker 3: You're not. No, I would say probably half an hour
- 23:24Speaker 3: of each day I'm not on D and D wowed.
- 23:32Speaker 5: And then what happens when you turn it off? Is
- 23:35Speaker 5: it just a fire hose?
- 23:37Speaker 3: Oh? People are mad, people are annoyed.
- 23:39Speaker 5: Yeah, but everyone's in the hospital, drafting themselves to the hospital.
- 23:46Speaker 5: They had to drive each other.
- 23:50Speaker 3: Screaming and get richer on the phone.
- 23:55Speaker 4: We had to create an ai star for this movie.
- 23:57Speaker 4: We wanted it to be you, but it was.
- 24:01Speaker 3: You.
- 24:01Speaker 4: Couldn't reach you.
- 24:04Speaker 3: We wanted you as Stuart.
- 24:07Speaker 4: You were going to be Stuart Stuart big.
- 24:11Speaker 3: Stuart, like small male. Well, you brought the gift? Should
- 24:17Speaker 3: we open it here? On the podcast?
- 24:20Speaker 4: We got it? Yeah?
- 24:24Speaker 3: I love this bag. Who picked out the bag?
- 24:26Speaker 4: So someone who gave my son a birthday gift picked
- 24:30Speaker 4: out that bag.
- 24:31Speaker 5: This is one of the best things about kids that
- 24:35Speaker 5: I've discovered, is you've got bad I'm around the house.
- 24:39Speaker 3: Yeah, kind of like the podcast a bag because I
- 24:42Speaker 3: on the way to the car, I ripped off a
- 24:43Speaker 3: tag that I almost didn't see that said happy Birthday
- 24:46Speaker 3: from Bennett. So the bag is from Bennett. Thank you Bennett.
- 24:50Speaker 5: It's nice.
- 24:51Speaker 3: It's kind of a beautiful, psychedelic swing in sixties.
- 24:54Speaker 4: Bag and funky.
- 24:56Speaker 3: Yeah, get very funky. We've got some tissue paper. Good
- 24:59Speaker 3: for you bringing tissue paper. And you know I'm not
- 25:02Speaker 3: messing around, Okay, we're getting in. Oh, this is a beautiful.
- 25:08Speaker 3: This is gorgeous puzzle.
- 25:11Speaker 5: The Dogs of Halloween.
- 25:12Speaker 3: The Dogs of Halloween. There's like a little pumpkin trailer
- 25:17Speaker 3: and the dogs are having the time of their lives.
- 25:18Speaker 3: They're all in costume.
- 25:20Speaker 5: There is a cat ghost dog oh yeah.
- 25:22Speaker 3: Which feels like a mistake on the or the painters.
- 25:25Speaker 3: But the cats, oh interesting, So it's not celebrating and.
- 25:28Speaker 4: It seems because black cat it's Halloween, right, but the
- 25:32Speaker 4: cat's not allowed to participate in the festivities.
- 25:35Speaker 5: And this is kind of a special image because this
- 25:37Speaker 5: is actually a rendering of what exists on the other
- 25:43Speaker 5: side of the Rainbow Bridge.
- 25:44Speaker 3: Oh, I hope so?
- 25:45Speaker 5: And so a dog actually like was it was? Did
- 25:49Speaker 5: visit the other side of the bridge like.
- 25:51Speaker 3: That little boy who heaven is for real?
- 25:56Speaker 5: Then did retain memories of what the other side of
- 25:59Speaker 5: the bridge looks like? And it is? They are celebrating
- 26:02Speaker 5: Halloween all year round. And so no matter when this
- 26:06Speaker 5: episode comes out, I don't know how it seems like
- 26:08Speaker 5: this is November.
- 26:10Speaker 6: I say this.
- 26:11Speaker 5: It seems like it's pretty banked up.
- 26:12Speaker 4: But we wanted to guarantee, like if you do, if
- 26:16Speaker 4: you really push us, and it's just like this feeling
- 26:18Speaker 4: you have, like this is a bad episode. Let's just
- 26:20Speaker 4: like not release until we're all out. Everyone will know
- 26:24Speaker 4: that that's what happened.
- 26:26Speaker 3: No, we'll just push it to October like twenty seven.
- 26:28Speaker 3: Oh interesting, you know a couple of years from now,
- 26:30Speaker 3: we've got a special Halloween episode.
- 26:32Speaker 4: That don't threaten me with a good time.
- 26:35Speaker 3: You toour dead. We're like kind of celebrating you.
- 26:39Speaker 5: Yeah, way to do. Your podcast could be like that
- 26:44Speaker 5: Netflix show.
- 26:45Speaker 3: Which Netflix show?
- 26:46Speaker 5: There's a new Netflix show where they go to people
- 26:50Speaker 5: that are alive but not that much and they say, hey,
- 26:57Speaker 5: just would you like to make some content that you
- 27:01Speaker 5: will never get to experience the positive impacts of yourself
- 27:05Speaker 5: except the money right now. They did it with Jane Goodall.
- 27:08Speaker 3: I was gonna say, kind of a Grayson Frankie situation,
- 27:11Speaker 3: but no, great, Well, yes they did, older folks.
- 27:15Speaker 5: It would be as if they waited if hers was
- 27:20Speaker 5: a post hers was posthumous.
- 27:23Speaker 3: As soon as you pass, yes, and then they release it.
- 27:27Speaker 3: That is the show. They go to people and say
- 27:30Speaker 3: we'll wait till you die.
- 27:31Speaker 5: Yes, they wired. They put a basically a detonator on
- 27:35Speaker 5: your heart, so as soon as it stops beating, the
- 27:39Speaker 5: episode is launched.
- 27:40Speaker 3: They send you into a bank. Wow, I wonder how
- 27:44Speaker 3: they contact you about that. Hey, you're getting up there.
- 27:49Speaker 4: It's Netflix.
- 27:51Speaker 3: You know they've got a little bit a bit of
- 27:53Speaker 3: something for everybody. Wow.
- 27:56Speaker 5: Imagine they should have sat on Grayson Frankie. Huh.
- 28:00Speaker 3: I wonder who else they've got in the bank for
- 28:02Speaker 3: that show. I mean, they're probably not going to reveal
- 28:04Speaker 3: until they Well, one of you, any of us right now,
- 28:08Speaker 3: could have just done anything. You could have done it true,
- 28:11Speaker 3: and we're just safing. That's a good idea for a podcast.
- 28:14Speaker 3: You could really blow the roof off if suddenly you're
- 28:16Speaker 3: just it's all dead guests and you're like, I have
- 28:18Speaker 3: the last word from this person.
- 28:19Speaker 5: They should say it is so when someone dies, you
- 28:23Speaker 5: can say Deadpool, Deadpool, Deadpool.
- 28:27Speaker 3: There we go, Deadpool. Right, what is the title of
- 28:31Speaker 3: the show of this show?
- 28:33Speaker 5: Don't remember?
- 28:33Speaker 4: Somebody wants this somebody wanted this person to die.
- 28:42Speaker 3: That's kind of true. Everybody has someone that wants them
- 28:45Speaker 3: to die.
- 28:47Speaker 5: Someone like Jane Goodall, I mean, like lover to death.
- 28:50Speaker 5: But in an industry where there's like one really famous person,
- 28:56Speaker 5: so many people are doing this, you're like.
- 28:59Speaker 4: The second best monkey researcher in the world and a
- 29:03Speaker 4: shit about you know what has ever lared your day?
- 29:06Speaker 5: And and and her dying now doesn't mean you get elevated.
- 29:10Speaker 5: It means that people still talk about her death forever.
- 29:13Speaker 4: You'll never be another one one of one. And it's like, well, yeah,
- 29:17Speaker 4: it certainly will be if we keep backing like this.
- 29:20Speaker 5: You're obviously going to the funeral. You were like really
- 29:22Speaker 5: close professional colleagues, and it's just like rubbed in your
- 29:26Speaker 5: face even more.
- 29:27Speaker 3: Right, it makes it worse for you, terrible. Maybe we're
- 29:30Speaker 3: something flashy at the funeral, try to catch a few
- 29:32Speaker 3: eyes terribly, What a shame. Yeah, we'll never know who
- 29:36Speaker 3: the next Jane go to show up with a chimp.
- 29:39Speaker 7: Sorry, you know, I guess they miss Jane and now
- 29:46Speaker 7: they're like it's like I'm Jane now to them or something, which.
- 29:50Speaker 3: Maybe I could whatever be that for you guys, back off.
- 29:56Speaker 3: Are either of you dressing up for Halloween?
- 29:58Speaker 5: I am uh part of a family costume? Okay? Oh man?
- 30:03Speaker 5: Have we gone back and forth on this thing? Oh boy,
- 30:08Speaker 5: for a while, my daughter wanted to be she's obsessed
- 30:11Speaker 5: with evil and like general villainy and the she's really
- 30:16Speaker 5: scared of Seawan You, who was the main antagonist from
- 30:20Speaker 5: the movie Mulan. Okay, but she for a while she
- 30:24Speaker 5: was really insistent on being Shawn You.
- 30:26Speaker 3: Oh, that's very cute.
- 30:29Speaker 5: So imagine this. A three year old girl shows up
- 30:33Speaker 5: to your door. She has a full on fu man
- 30:36Speaker 5: shoe mustache.
- 30:41Speaker 3: What is happening in this house?
- 30:44Speaker 5: And like armor paths and a big sword, maybe a crow,
- 30:49Speaker 5: like a pet crow on her shoulder.
- 30:51Speaker 3: I think that's very cute.
- 30:52Speaker 5: We got her off. That next one was a problem
- 30:55Speaker 5: for a different reason. She wanted to be aerial. Great,
- 30:58Speaker 5: sure on.
- 31:00Speaker 4: Land does not want a tail and tail around.
- 31:08Speaker 5: She has a pink dress in the movie that My
- 31:10Speaker 5: daughter was like, give me that. But she's not allowed
- 31:16Speaker 5: to talk interesting either, So she's.
- 31:19Speaker 3: Just taking the wrong messages from this movie.
- 31:21Speaker 5: Yeah, so you So in this case, three shows up
- 31:23Speaker 5: to your door just wearing a pink dress and the
- 31:27Speaker 5: shell hairclip. That's the only actual clue you get. And
- 31:32Speaker 5: who are you supposed to be? And you're just met
- 31:34Speaker 5: with dead silence.
- 31:37Speaker 3: And now it's like ghost, yeah, ghost, ghost in a
- 31:42Speaker 3: pink dress. So now what does she want to be?
- 31:45Speaker 5: She had an Alice in Wonderland themed birthday party has
- 31:49Speaker 5: a great Alice get up, and my wife managed to
- 31:55Speaker 5: manipulate her into doing that again and thinking it was
- 31:59Speaker 5: her idea, and so I was a mad hatter. Okay,
- 32:01Speaker 5: great if it was the White Rabbit. We're just running
- 32:04Speaker 5: it back. Okay.
- 32:04Speaker 3: I think that's a great castle to Everyone gets it immediately,
- 32:08Speaker 3: there's no explaining, and it's within the ballpark of what
- 32:11Speaker 3: she wanted. Sean, are you dressing him?
- 32:15Speaker 4: I don't think so. Okay, sometimes I'll throw on a
- 32:17Speaker 4: cowboy hat or something, you know.
- 32:19Speaker 3: Yeah, it's nice to have a cowboy hat or a
- 32:21Speaker 3: witch hat something.
- 32:22Speaker 4: Yeah, something I got lying around, a little flannel and
- 32:25Speaker 4: a cowboy hat, you know. But I don't really like
- 32:29Speaker 4: to dress up. But I'm dealing with my kids, and
- 32:32Speaker 4: my son has inherited that trait. He just like is
- 32:34Speaker 4: very very against having to put something on.
- 32:38Speaker 3: Oh anything in general.
- 32:39Speaker 4: Yeah, And so his kind of life hack is that
- 32:44Speaker 4: he's realized Halloween is a way for him to get
- 32:46Speaker 4: a free basketball jersey of a player that he likes.
- 32:49Speaker 4: So he just like says a player, and he's like,
- 32:52Speaker 4: I want to go, is this you know? Player? I
- 32:54Speaker 4: think this year he's going to be Tyrese Haliburt. So
- 32:57Speaker 4: he so he got you know, he got the the
- 33:00Speaker 4: way I save because you know now I'm buying. Yeah,
- 33:05Speaker 4: So that's he's gonna wear that. And then that player
- 33:08Speaker 4: obviously has a is recovering from a torn achilles, and
- 33:11Speaker 4: it's a big argument with my wife that she just
- 33:13Speaker 4: wants him to at least like put a band aid
- 33:14Speaker 4: on his ankle or something so that there's like some
- 33:17Speaker 4: indication that it's like a costume but not just a
- 33:19Speaker 4: kid in a jersey. And I think where we currently
- 33:24Speaker 4: stand is he will put some form of bandage on
- 33:29Speaker 4: his ankle for one photo.
- 33:31Speaker 3: Wow, what a negotiation.
- 33:34Speaker 4: Six tough. And then his sister, who's four, she really
- 33:40Speaker 4: wanted the whole family to go as the Barnstein Bears,
- 33:43Speaker 4: but of course her brother refused and so it was
- 33:49Speaker 4: like it all fell apart. And then my wife similarly
- 33:53Speaker 4: just has convinced her to wear a costume that I
- 33:55Speaker 4: think she wanted her to be in, which is she
- 33:59Speaker 4: is going to be shared from the movie Clueless, a
- 34:01Speaker 4: character she has no idea what it was and it's
- 34:04Speaker 4: never seen, but it's the yellow platu with the and
- 34:09Speaker 4: she's got she's got the pink pen with the feather
- 34:12Speaker 4: and a little like old school cell phone, which I
- 34:15Speaker 4: think she wanted to like have a phone as a
- 34:17Speaker 4: toy anyway, And so so it's all come together. I
- 34:21Speaker 4: think she'll look great and you can do that with
- 34:23Speaker 4: her right now.
- 34:26Speaker 3: And do you guys go trick or treating with your kids?
- 34:29Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 34:29Speaker 3: How does that work? I've never had a trick or
- 34:31Speaker 3: treater in La I'm not.
- 34:32Speaker 5: Literally you're in the zone. So every neighborhood has a
- 34:37Speaker 5: couple of hot spots, like.
- 34:39Speaker 4: A street that is like this is the trick or
- 34:42Speaker 4: treat street.
- 34:43Speaker 5: Right the rat colony in the Palaces.
- 34:49Speaker 4: It's insane. So like four blocks from us, our neighbor
- 34:52Speaker 4: lives like in the center of the zone, and so
- 34:56Speaker 4: we're going to go to their house. We help hand
- 34:59Speaker 4: out candy. I mean, you got you know, ten people there.
- 35:01Speaker 4: They order pizzas, and it's like you're just handing out candy.
- 35:05Speaker 4: It's hundreds and hundreds of people coming through, and so
- 35:11Speaker 4: you kind of like there's like two giant like barrels
- 35:14Speaker 4: of candy out front. You're doing that, and then at
- 35:16Speaker 4: some point in the night, I'll take my kids and
- 35:18Speaker 4: we will walk just up and down those two blocks
- 35:21Speaker 4: and it'll take an hour and a half right to
- 35:24Speaker 4: like get through those lines and stuff. But like that's it.
- 35:28Speaker 4: We just post up there.
- 35:30Speaker 5: It's like a hard do they tell you when you're
- 35:33Speaker 5: buying one of these houses, because like it's it's a responsibility.
- 35:37Speaker 3: Yeah, that seems like a huge hassle.
- 35:39Speaker 5: People I think will bother you if you don't decorate.
- 35:42Speaker 5: I assume it would just be like, Hey, just so
- 35:44Speaker 5: you know, like we were moving a little differently here
- 35:47Speaker 5: that I'm I'm I'm curious about that. I gotta find
- 35:49Speaker 5: out I want And this year, I feel like if
- 35:52Speaker 5: you showed up. I don't know what the bad guy
- 35:54Speaker 5: from K Pop Demon Hunters looks like, but if you
- 35:56Speaker 5: showed up to one of these places dressed like that,
- 35:58Speaker 5: I think you might actually get killed.
- 36:00Speaker 3: Yeah, truly be tramples.
- 36:01Speaker 5: Just the number of little kids stabbing you with whatever
- 36:07Speaker 5: their weapon is, I think you would actually get Yeah.
- 36:10Speaker 3: Does that movie. I imagine he's like a record producer
- 36:13Speaker 3: or something of the villain of the.
- 36:15Speaker 5: Great I love that turns out to be a demon. Hey,
- 36:20Speaker 5: can the bag guy not be a producer?
- 36:24Speaker 3: There are other jobs in the industry.
- 36:27Speaker 5: He's not really.
- 36:34Speaker 4: He's sort of the head of all the demons. Okay,
- 36:37Speaker 4: but then like there's a sort of cocky, arrogant demon
- 36:43Speaker 4: who has a good good enough voice that he can
- 36:45Speaker 4: start a boy band that will then be able to
- 36:48Speaker 4: rival the because the girl group K pop group are
- 36:53Speaker 4: the demon hunters. They're killing all these demons and so then, uh,
- 36:58Speaker 4: they want to kind of asorb all their fans to
- 37:02Speaker 4: this like demon boy band and that will like somehow
- 37:05Speaker 4: eliminate their power.
- 37:07Speaker 3: But it's very complicated, right, And were the gals demon
- 37:10Speaker 3: hunters first or pop stars?
- 37:12Speaker 5: Great question?
- 37:13Speaker 4: Well, they have all been sort of Buffy the Vampire
- 37:18Speaker 4: Slayer trained to be demon hunters. I think from birth.
- 37:22Speaker 4: One of them is like a Blade type character where
- 37:26Speaker 4: she's half demon and is trying to hide it from
- 37:28Speaker 4: the rest of the group.
- 37:29Speaker 5: Right, you gotta have one of those.
- 37:31Speaker 4: And so I think that their initial training was in
- 37:37Speaker 4: demon hunting and that the pop singing came later. But
- 37:43Speaker 4: I don't actually know the timeline. I say I watched it.
- 37:45Speaker 3: But I sort of half watched it as my kids
- 37:47Speaker 3: were watching it. Is there like a lou Pearlman type?
- 37:50Speaker 3: Is there somebody who puts the group together or is it.
- 37:53Speaker 3: We just come together through a shared love.
- 37:54Speaker 5: Of Music's who's there's.
- 37:59Speaker 4: Funny like manager a character okay, Okay, who's like sort
- 38:03Speaker 4: of yeah, going like we gotta get to hear but
- 38:05Speaker 4: you know, like we got the next your big show
- 38:07Speaker 4: coming up, and like it's sort of like a goofball
- 38:10Speaker 4: and it's like okay, but yeah, and the music is
- 38:16Speaker 4: so popular.
- 38:17Speaker 3: Oh, unbelievably popular.
- 38:19Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 38:19Speaker 3: I mean I've heard the song once. I heard it
- 38:21Speaker 3: and I thought I get it. Yeah, this is a
- 38:24Speaker 3: powerful piece of music. Yeah, and dances they go.
- 38:28Speaker 4: You know, there's a class, like an after school class
- 38:31Speaker 4: at my son's school that his friends do where they
- 38:34Speaker 4: just learn dances to the K pop Demon Hunters music.
- 38:37Speaker 4: Like it's just a dance class for that soundtrack. And
- 38:40Speaker 4: now is this a thing where it's split between boys
- 38:42Speaker 4: and girls? The boys want to dance like the evil Demons.
- 38:46Speaker 4: I think they're all learning the same dance. Okay, I
- 38:50Speaker 4: don't know. He won't do it. I mean it's that's
- 38:52Speaker 4: like dressing up for Halloween to him. Yeah, that's like.
- 38:57Speaker 5: That would be participating.
- 38:58Speaker 3: Yeah, did you too dress up as kids?
- 39:01Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 39:02Speaker 5: I did.
- 39:04Speaker 4: One year.
- 39:05Speaker 5: My parents love to laugh about about the year, I
- 39:09Speaker 5: insisted on being a chicken. Oh, it's so funny, like
- 39:12Speaker 5: a little kid doesn't know that it's like not cool
- 39:15Speaker 5: to be a chicken.
- 39:16Speaker 3: I guess he's fifteen.
- 39:19Speaker 5: But they got me a chicken costume, and I asked
- 39:21Speaker 5: them to take it back, which they did, because I
- 39:24Speaker 5: wanted to be like a chick coming out of the shell.
- 39:29Speaker 1: Chick.
- 39:30Speaker 5: Oh, interesting, that's what I was coated like a piece
- 39:34Speaker 5: of shell on my head, right, very can I got
- 39:37Speaker 5: what I wanted?
- 39:39Speaker 3: That feels like I had to construct. That would be
- 39:40Speaker 3: something a parent would have to construct. You buy an egg, you.
- 39:43Speaker 5: Can, oh, you can buy those absolutely, like Sean saying,
- 39:46Speaker 5: I mean they have Easter costumes. That's one of like
- 39:49Speaker 5: two Easter costumes.
- 39:51Speaker 4: The other's a lamb or by the other's a bunny.
- 39:54Speaker 3: Should not get bunny, guess.
- 39:58Speaker 4: And I know it's your show, and you've been doing
- 40:02Speaker 4: great with a lot of the other sections, but.
- 40:04Speaker 3: I'm thinking about I'm thinking about the religious half of
- 40:08Speaker 3: this holiday. You two have forgotten the true meaning of Easter,
- 40:12Speaker 3: and you're thinking about the rabbit, and I'm thinking about
- 40:16Speaker 3: the Christian.
- 40:17Speaker 5: Non Jane Goodall, Jim experts.
- 40:24Speaker 6: Well, that's but you didn't dress Family Feud, you just
- 40:27Speaker 6: get absolutely annihilated.
- 40:31Speaker 3: I should not go on that show.
- 40:35Speaker 4: It was so.
- 40:36Speaker 3: Mad, handcuffed. Lamb would be on the list. At least
- 40:43Speaker 3: give me that Lamb would be on the list.
- 40:45Speaker 5: Lamb's number three.
- 40:50Speaker 3: How many did you get on Family Feud?
- 40:53Speaker 4: Five?
- 40:53Speaker 5: It's the top, it has to I think it's everything
- 40:56Speaker 5: over like one percent. It's different.
- 40:58Speaker 3: Oh, it's I've ever seen an episode. I've seen small
- 41:01Speaker 3: clips of the show.
- 41:02Speaker 5: Oh it's fun, it's a good, good, But never sat
- 41:05Speaker 5: down and watched a complete episode of Family not a single.
- 41:07Speaker 4: You must have friends that have been on the celebrity
- 41:09Speaker 4: version of it.
- 41:10Speaker 3: Well, who cares? Yeah with the blunt bag. Well why
- 41:19Speaker 3: can you tell me why you brought this? Just because
- 41:20Speaker 3: it was a very cute puzzle?
- 41:22Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, Well you know I looked at some of
- 41:25Speaker 4: the other gifts, so there was a backgamon set. There
- 41:30Speaker 4: is a backgam that made me think of like, what
- 41:31Speaker 4: else do you do on a tabletop on a nice
- 41:33Speaker 4: jigsaw puzzle? But we you know, we go in and
- 41:36Speaker 4: out of big being a big jigsaw puzzle house where
- 41:39Speaker 4: we really will go through a perer where there's just
- 41:41Speaker 4: always a puzzle on the table and somebody's just like
- 41:44Speaker 4: working on it and pieces, and that can be a
- 41:46Speaker 4: nice sort of soothing activity, you know, you forget like
- 41:49Speaker 4: buzzes are nice, they are.
- 41:51Speaker 5: You need that. I mean the thing is what we
- 41:53Speaker 5: were tapping into that little time to just like turn
- 41:58Speaker 5: your brain off, right right.
- 42:00Speaker 3: I got a I've gotten This is I think the
- 42:02Speaker 3: third puzzle I've gotten on this Podcasteah.
- 42:03Speaker 4: Well this is something because as I was grabbing it,
- 42:05Speaker 4: my wife said, like, I wonder if he's gotten a
- 42:07Speaker 4: puzzle before, and I said, I can't.
- 42:10Speaker 5: Be held responsible for that.
- 42:11Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, A point well, and if if it
- 42:15Speaker 3: was the same puzzle, But I've gotten a cozy Christmas village.
- 42:19Speaker 3: Didn't do that one. And then I got all of
- 42:21Speaker 3: the Republican presidents playing pool. And that's the first large
- 42:25Speaker 3: scale puzzle I've ever done.
- 42:26Speaker 5: All of them, all of them but Trump, Okay, is
- 42:31Speaker 5: that guy that paints some of them? That paints those presidents.
- 42:34Speaker 5: I mean that's some of.
- 42:35Speaker 3: Those loser guys who does like the Republican President's being cool.
- 42:39Speaker 5: That's so many for one game of pool.
- 42:42Speaker 3: I guess maybe not all, but maybe the hits.
- 42:45Speaker 4: Well is it a pool haul? And there's multiple games
- 42:47Speaker 4: going or is it just one table.
- 42:50Speaker 3: One table at one table and I think only one
- 42:52Speaker 3: or two trying to picture it now, I think they
- 42:55Speaker 3: all are participating in the puzzle or in the in
- 42:58Speaker 3: the pool. But I did it. It was five hundred pieces,
- 43:01Speaker 3: I think, and it took me fifteen weeks to complete
- 43:05Speaker 3: the plus wow. I mean, I wasn't putting my all
- 43:08Speaker 3: into it, and I wasn't excited about finishing it, but
- 43:11Speaker 3: it did take way longer than I expected, and it
- 43:14Speaker 3: was just on my kitchen counter for weeks. The only
- 43:17Speaker 3: reason I kind of finally finished it was my boyfriend said,
- 43:19Speaker 3: that needs to kitchen place.
- 43:22Speaker 5: Yeah, well that's for other stuff.
- 43:23Speaker 3: For someone who doesn't I simply don't cook. Don't cook,
- 43:26Speaker 3: so it didn't really matter. I guess it was probably
- 43:28Speaker 3: good that I was using the space for something, but
- 43:31Speaker 3: it took forever and it made me feel less than
- 43:35Speaker 3: you know, so you start to wonder about yourself and
- 43:38Speaker 3: how many puzzles out five hundred? Yeah, above, it's just
- 43:44Speaker 3: too much.
- 43:46Speaker 4: Like you'll see a great puzzle that's a thousand, and
- 43:49Speaker 4: you'll go like this will be fun, and I I
- 43:51Speaker 4: feel like one time, like a bunch of friends had
- 43:54Speaker 4: rented a house like in Big Bear, and we just
- 43:57Speaker 4: had a big thousand piece jigsaw puzzle out somebody was
- 44:00Speaker 4: always working on and it got finished over the course
- 44:02Speaker 4: of the weekend, and that was fun. But if it's
- 44:04Speaker 4: like just you or you and one other person working
- 44:06Speaker 4: on a thousand piece, it's like not that fun to me.
- 44:09Speaker 3: That doesn't sound enjoyable.
- 44:10Speaker 5: Go into more and more homes where they have a
- 44:12Speaker 5: little room where the puzzle is partially completed and you
- 44:17Speaker 5: can just like pop a piece in here and there,
- 44:20Speaker 5: and you know not that the green room here isn't cozy.
- 44:23Speaker 5: The frame QR code is like it's.
- 44:26Speaker 3: Like the QR code together hearth.
- 44:29Speaker 5: Maybe could you could put that not you know that's
- 44:32Speaker 5: for you, but just a puzzle on that table could be.
- 44:36Speaker 5: It's a fun place there appear to be you're not
- 44:38Speaker 5: allowed to.
- 44:39Speaker 3: Make many rooms in this there are plenty of rooms
- 44:42Speaker 3: one could have a puzzle in it. It's not a
- 44:45Speaker 3: bad idea.
- 44:46Speaker 4: To be honest, I think it could be nice.
- 44:49Speaker 3: It feels like a complaint or.
- 44:51Speaker 5: Show concept where like people are doing a puzzle. I
- 44:53Speaker 5: want to go back to a question you were asking before,
- 44:56Speaker 5: did you I don't remember anything you. Sean and I
- 44:59Speaker 5: used to get invited to the Maroon five Halloween party
- 45:02Speaker 5: every year. Jealous, which was at Hollywood, used to be.
- 45:06Speaker 4: At Hollywood forever. Yes, it was the other.
- 45:11Speaker 5: For the last couple of years. They aren't doing it
- 45:14Speaker 5: anymore or much more.
- 45:16Speaker 4: Likely we just fell off the list. But we used
- 45:19Speaker 4: to go.
- 45:20Speaker 5: What did you dress up as?
- 45:23Speaker 3: You kind of had h you must have had to
- 45:24Speaker 3: dress you had to dress up, for sure.
- 45:26Speaker 4: I've never been a big dress up guy. It just
- 45:30Speaker 4: feels like pressure to me.
- 45:32Speaker 5: I just oh, yeah, expectations or I remember really freaking
- 45:35Speaker 5: out here.
- 45:36Speaker 4: I'm dressing up. People go yeah, you know, they're rubbing
- 45:40Speaker 4: their fork and knife together. They're excited, so like, yeah,
- 45:44Speaker 4: one year, I think you were involved in my costumes.
- 45:50Speaker 4: But one time I think I was a Jeopardy contestant
- 45:52Speaker 4: and I basically went as you when you were on Jeopardy,
- 45:55Speaker 4: and I had like a like a sandwich board style
- 45:58Speaker 4: like podium in front. Yeah, and I think I just
- 46:01Speaker 4: dressed up as Hayes from his Jeopardy appearance.
- 46:03Speaker 5: That's right. And I think you surprised me at the
- 46:06Speaker 5: at the party. Yeah, and then sorry, I forgot.
- 46:09Speaker 4: About that the other year. I think I also involved
- 46:13Speaker 4: you in the costume, which is I believe it was
- 46:18Speaker 4: during the peak of Occupy Wall Street and my wife
- 46:25Speaker 4: and I went. She dressed as a cow and I
- 46:29Speaker 4: dressed as a milk carton, and we had protest signs
- 46:32Speaker 4: that said we are the two percent perfect and I
- 46:36Speaker 4: on the back of my milk carton. How to have
- 46:38Speaker 4: you seen this boy poster? And it was an image
- 46:42Speaker 4: of Hayes from what he was on Jeopardy.
- 46:49Speaker 3: All of your costumes are haze on Jeopardy.
- 46:52Speaker 5: Yeah, And I'm sort of taken back to the experience of, like,
- 46:55Speaker 5: you go to this party where you're kind of nervous.
- 46:58Speaker 5: There's a lot of really really fakes people there. I
- 47:01Speaker 5: saw Courtney Love there.
- 47:04Speaker 3: What was she dressed as?
- 47:05Speaker 5: I don't I really wish. I was thinking the other
- 47:09Speaker 5: day that I wish I remember because in my so
- 47:14Speaker 5: let me tell you who she was dressed as. In
- 47:16Speaker 5: my head, Kurt Cobain.
- 47:18Speaker 3: I was going to say it was Kurt, but I
- 47:19Speaker 3: could not.
- 47:20Speaker 4: Possibly almost said as a joke.
- 47:22Speaker 5: But I know, I think I might have joked dressed
- 47:26Speaker 5: her up like that.
- 47:29Speaker 3: Dead hospital.
- 47:30Speaker 5: That's what I decided to remember.
- 47:33Speaker 3: I mean, if anyone was going to do that would
- 47:35Speaker 3: be Courtney Love she.
- 47:38Speaker 2: Is.
- 47:39Speaker 4: Did you ever watch the montage of Heck documentary?
- 47:42Speaker 5: No?
- 47:43Speaker 4: It was it good? Oh yeah, it's it's pretty good,
- 47:45Speaker 4: but by far to me, like the best part of
- 47:48Speaker 4: the whole thing is they have a lot of footge
- 47:51Speaker 4: of like Kurt and Courtney together and like you know
- 47:53Speaker 4: home videos they took basically and there's just the two
- 47:56Speaker 4: of them making fun of but also clearly being jealous
- 48:03Speaker 4: of guns and Roses and like it's just it's so humanizing.
- 48:09Speaker 4: It like made me feel good, where it's like this
- 48:12Speaker 4: fucking dude was the coolest person in the world and
- 48:18Speaker 4: he couldn't get over the fact that like I'm sure
- 48:20Speaker 4: guns and Roses like album sales were high, and like
- 48:24Speaker 4: also that he was like and they're kind of wane
- 48:27Speaker 4: to me, Like they're kind of annoying, and this is what.
- 48:30Speaker 3: People want, and I just just like it's everybody that
- 48:34Speaker 3: makes me feel, so everyone feels.
- 48:36Speaker 4: Yeah, I think it's a it's a very soothing ball And.
- 48:39Speaker 5: That was how part of how you were cool at
- 48:42Speaker 5: the time. Can you really do that today? Something you
- 48:47Speaker 5: can't hate on your peers.
- 48:48Speaker 3: In that one you kind of have to just retreat
- 48:54Speaker 3: basically and just let them continue to bulldoze their way through.
- 48:57Speaker 5: And maybe part of it was like people look at
- 48:59Speaker 5: court Love now and like her amazing band was overshadowed
- 49:05Speaker 5: by her personality.
- 49:09Speaker 3: I love her personality, but I mean people I like
- 49:13Speaker 3: aspects of it.
- 49:14Speaker 4: Sure, it's probably not and there's other things that I
- 49:18Speaker 4: think I would classify as areas for growth in Courty
- 49:23Speaker 4: looks personality and I'm not And by the way, I'm
- 49:27Speaker 4: not like I'm a fan. Yeah, but I don't think
- 49:31Speaker 4: we're looking at a finished product.
- 49:33Speaker 3: There's something she could work on, yes for me as well.
- 49:38Speaker 5: Anyway, it was fun to see her at this party
- 49:40Speaker 5: and but you're just like vibrating in this like space
- 49:43Speaker 5: where just like whatever Jake jillenhall your peripheral vision, and
- 49:47Speaker 5: then you see your friends wearing a costume of you. Yeah,
- 49:51Speaker 5: it's like, oh, okay, it's just it's another thing to
- 49:55Speaker 5: dream dream nature. No, it was nice, but wait, what
- 50:00Speaker 5: were you?
- 50:00Speaker 3: What were you dressed as?
- 50:01Speaker 5: I truly do not remember.
- 50:03Speaker 4: I think you were Pikachu once I was. He just
- 50:05Speaker 4: had a big old Pikachu costume.
- 50:07Speaker 5: I did. I had a full sized Pikachu cost.
- 50:09Speaker 4: I had one more costume that I remember that no
- 50:12Speaker 4: one knew what I was, but that was sort of
- 50:15Speaker 4: by design, and I went as Colin Ferrell from True
- 50:20Speaker 4: Detective season two.
- 50:22Speaker 5: Uh Ray, Ray for sure.
- 50:26Speaker 4: His name was Ray and I used to obviously the
- 50:29Speaker 4: last name was like Tip, it's like Bell Combe or yes, yes, yes,
- 50:34Speaker 4: Ray val conel Cone and uh I was like you
- 50:40Speaker 4: know that season came out and people immediately were like
- 50:42Speaker 4: this is what I watched every episode and slipped it
- 50:45Speaker 4: was like I love Colin Farrell and this he's so weird.
- 50:47Speaker 4: And so I had a pretty good because he had
- 50:50Speaker 4: a really distinct look, like he had like long hair
- 50:53Speaker 4: and a big mustache and sort of like a turquoise
- 50:56Speaker 4: like bolo tie and like I got like a jacket
- 50:59Speaker 4: that approximate it.
- 51:00Speaker 3: I have no recollection of that character. Well, I only
- 51:02Speaker 3: watched a couple episodes and got off, but got off.
- 51:09Speaker 4: Around, shutting this off, messing around. It's fine, You're good.
- 51:19Speaker 3: Uh No, I don't remember that character at all.
- 51:21Speaker 4: Oh yeah, well he was one of the season two
- 51:25Speaker 4: was Rachel McAdams, Colin Farrell, and Taylor Kitsch Okay Taylor.
- 51:30Speaker 5: And Vince Vaughn as the bad guy, and.
- 51:32Speaker 3: Somebody gets shot. That's all I remember, right.
- 51:35Speaker 5: No, sorry, you're not remembering that, right, No, nobody gets shot.
- 51:38Speaker 3: No one gets hurt, gets shot.
- 51:42Speaker 4: He's running through the I think he's in the like
- 51:45Speaker 4: Sequoia forest.
- 51:47Speaker 3: I have some some memory of someone sending in the
- 51:50Speaker 3: living room getting shot directly in the chest with the
- 51:51Speaker 3: shotgun in that season of the show. Maybe I just.
- 51:55Speaker 5: Wanted that that's what the characters would you want to
- 51:58Speaker 5: be able to root for the Karen And I'm not
- 52:02Speaker 5: really that interested in watching someone shoot another human being.
- 52:07Speaker 4: Yeah, that's actually illegal.
- 52:11Speaker 3: Someone who's shot in the chest. Well, is there anything
- 52:16Speaker 3: left to say about the puzzle?
- 52:19Speaker 5: It wasn't that much to begin with. But I but
- 52:22Speaker 5: I don't think there's anything left either.
- 52:28Speaker 3: Do either of you have pets?
- 52:29Speaker 5: Oh?
- 52:30Speaker 4: God, yes, dogs? Yeah?
- 52:32Speaker 3: Do you dress those up?
- 52:33Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 52:34Speaker 4: I have a big husky shepherd. He's a very sort
- 52:37Speaker 4: of beige like you know, seventy five pound dog. And
- 52:41Speaker 4: we will just for the trigger treaters, like just when
- 52:44Speaker 4: they show up the kids. We'll put a lion's mane
- 52:49Speaker 4: on him and let him answer the door. And it
- 52:52Speaker 4: looks pretty good. But we don't. He doesn't. He doesn't
- 52:56Speaker 4: hate it, but he doesn't love it, and so we'll
- 52:58Speaker 4: kind of just put it on for the you know,
- 53:00Speaker 4: reading Two Dogs, Two Dogs, back up to five cats
- 53:05Speaker 4: after having gotten down to three seven beatles. Son going
- 53:10Speaker 4: to get a white tree frog for Christmas. That's been the.
- 53:13Speaker 3: Big Get a tree frog.
- 53:15Speaker 5: That's a big.
- 53:16Speaker 4: That's been a lot of conversation about a tree frog.
- 53:19Speaker 4: Just recently had to buy him a book on how
- 53:21Speaker 4: to take care of tree frogs, which he's been asking
- 53:23Speaker 4: me to do for about a month now because he
- 53:25Speaker 4: knows he's getting it. Or yes, he had. He had
- 53:28Speaker 4: been really agitating for a fish. He's very interested in fish,
- 53:32Speaker 4: and we were able to kind of steer him towards this,
- 53:36Speaker 4: which I think he didn't know was an option. Like,
- 53:39Speaker 4: I don't think he feels like he's settling as he's like,
- 53:42Speaker 4: oh wow, because I think they're a little easier to
- 53:44Speaker 4: take care of.
- 53:44Speaker 3: Maintaining a fish tank is disgusting, really challenging.
- 53:48Speaker 5: And you know, my memory of it, five garfields in
- 53:53Speaker 5: the house, I know.
- 53:53Speaker 4: Yeah, so I think the frog might be a little
- 53:58Speaker 4: bit more manageable, right, But we have seven blue death
- 54:01Speaker 4: fanning beetles that are in his room now that are
- 54:05Speaker 4: like the easiest pet in the world if anyone has
- 54:08Speaker 4: children that are interested in bugs and like who wants
- 54:10Speaker 4: like a frog, lizard, whatever type creature. They're desert bug,
- 54:15Speaker 4: They're big, they're kind of cool. You can hold them,
- 54:18Speaker 4: and you have to spray them, like missed them with
- 54:22Speaker 4: water once a week, perfect and basically put like crickets
- 54:26Speaker 4: and dog food in their bowls.
- 54:28Speaker 3: It like, yeah, what's a life spent on a beetle?
- 54:32Speaker 4: A few years in? But I think it's I think
- 54:37Speaker 4: it's like five to seven years.
- 54:38Speaker 3: Wow, that's really impressive. I would say maybe six weeks.
- 54:41Speaker 4: Yeah, no, they're they're going.
- 54:43Speaker 3: So when one of those guys, it'll be an emotional
- 54:45Speaker 3: experience maybe.
- 54:46Speaker 4: Okay, so I said we have seven. I think we
- 54:48Speaker 4: have six actually. But the really crazy thing is they
- 54:51Speaker 4: they play positive called death fanning beetles because if you
- 54:53Speaker 4: touch them and they're nervous, they fold over and put
- 54:55Speaker 4: their legs up. So at times I've been like, oh, no,
- 54:58Speaker 4: this one's dead, and then they are alive. But now
- 55:03Speaker 4: I have seen one actually be dead, and I don't
- 55:06Speaker 4: know what age they are when we get them or
- 55:08Speaker 4: any you know they just came in the mail.
- 55:10Speaker 3: Oh, they come in the mail.
- 55:12Speaker 5: They must have some of the just fage death too
- 55:14Speaker 5: much and they wake up in the freaking trash kid.
- 55:17Speaker 4: No, it almost happened.
- 55:19Speaker 3: There was one that I was like, this is definitely.
- 55:21Speaker 4: I was like sad. I was like, okay, well one
- 55:23Speaker 4: of them's dead, and I was like getting ready to
- 55:25Speaker 4: get rid of and then it was like, gotcha teasing you?
- 55:30Speaker 3: You order them by mail? Fascinating I did. Yeah, okay,
- 55:33Speaker 3: I remember I've brought this up to people before, but
- 55:35Speaker 3: I remember seeing bags of ladybugs.
- 55:37Speaker 5: You could buy.
- 55:38Speaker 3: Have you ever seen these?
- 55:39Speaker 4: Yeah, that's a real praying mantis as well. That's like
- 55:42Speaker 4: a garden product. Like if you go to a garden
- 55:45Speaker 4: supply store, they'll have like a ladybug nest or whatever
- 55:50Speaker 4: like that you can put in your garden.
- 55:52Speaker 3: I'd love to get one of those again. Yeah, it's
- 55:54Speaker 3: kind of disgusting to begin with, but then they're all
- 55:57Speaker 3: over your yard. Why not?
- 55:58Speaker 5: Oh yeah, do you have cats, Bridger?
- 56:00Speaker 3: No, I had two cats years and years ago. We
- 56:02Speaker 3: have a dog now, she's only eight months old.
- 56:05Speaker 2: Though.
- 56:05Speaker 5: There's this thing out there. Sean and I both have
- 56:09Speaker 5: orange cats now, but it's I think it's an increasing
- 56:13Speaker 5: online thing that the orange cats are like the most demented.
- 56:19Speaker 3: Oh mine were orange and they were like wild animals. Yeah,
- 56:22Speaker 3: they were really and then they had to be because
- 56:25Speaker 3: I was moving across the country. Blah blah blah. Were
- 56:27Speaker 3: adopted by a woman, her daughter and her son who
- 56:30Speaker 3: is a YouTube magician, and I think they're taking care
- 56:34Speaker 3: of them.
- 56:34Speaker 4: Okay, shout out the YouTube channel.
- 56:37Speaker 3: I'm not shouting out the YouTube channel, Jesus Christ Bridger.
- 56:40Speaker 4: I mean you pull the ladder back up behind you.
- 56:43Speaker 3: Here are magic on my own.
- 56:47Speaker 5: You see it as an extension of red hair discrimination,
- 56:53Speaker 5: that this is like the path that people have found.
- 56:56Speaker 3: Oh they can hate the orange cat, yeah absolutely.
- 57:00Speaker 5: But you also agreed that they are more insane self loathing.
- 57:04Speaker 4: You've internalized it well.
- 57:06Speaker 3: And also, of course orange cats are almost always male,
- 57:10Speaker 3: which we have.
- 57:11Speaker 4: An orange so it's less than fifteen percent of them
- 57:14Speaker 4: or female. We have a female orange cat, wow, and
- 57:18Speaker 4: anytime we go to the vet or whatever with her.
- 57:20Speaker 3: They're like ooh.
- 57:22Speaker 4: Like the cat enthusiasts know this. So we had we
- 57:26Speaker 4: had five cats. At one point, we were feeding seven
- 57:28Speaker 4: cats because Tony the Farrell who killed all the rats
- 57:31Speaker 4: would come across the street, and there was a cat
- 57:33Speaker 4: who lived up the street but mostly came to our
- 57:37Speaker 4: house for dinner. And that cat we called him mister Cheeks.
- 57:40Speaker 4: He had very high, beautiful cheekbones. But then later his
- 57:44Speaker 4: owner discovered that he was our house a lot and
- 57:46Speaker 4: his owner had named him Buddha, and sometimes he would
- 57:48Speaker 4: show for dinner. I'd be like, hey, there, here's your dinner,
- 57:50Speaker 4: mister Cheeks, and I'd hear him over the fans go It's like,
- 57:55Speaker 4: what do you give a fun I'm taking a Yeah.
- 57:59Speaker 4: So anyway, those mister Cheeks moved, Tony's passed away. The
- 58:05Speaker 4: two main coon mixes I had have passed away then,
- 58:08Speaker 4: so we were down to these three tabbies that were
- 58:11Speaker 4: my wife's originally. And then we this guy in the
- 58:14Speaker 4: neighborhood dropped off four kittens to be like, can you
- 58:17Speaker 4: foster these until they get adopted. Two of them got
- 58:21Speaker 4: adopted right away, the other two orange ones now they
- 58:22Speaker 4: live with us.
- 58:24Speaker 3: You're a big animal person. I didn't realize this.
- 58:26Speaker 4: Yeah, there's too many cats.
- 58:29Speaker 3: That's a lot of cats, and all of them live
- 58:31Speaker 3: in your house.
- 58:33Speaker 4: Not really the orange the Yeah, the there's like a
- 58:37Speaker 4: separate structure that mainly the tabbies live in, and then
- 58:41Speaker 4: that's sort of.
- 58:42Speaker 5: Like a cat hutch habitat.
- 58:45Speaker 4: Yeah, like, yeah, it's like a habitat. It's got cat
- 58:48Speaker 4: trees and yeah, it's like a Chicken coop esque thing,
- 58:52Speaker 4: really nice.
- 58:53Speaker 3: And then well it matches the house.
- 58:55Speaker 4: Yeah, and then there's uh, the orange ones are in
- 59:01Speaker 4: and out. But yeah, they they tend to really spend
- 59:05Speaker 4: a lot of their time on the roof.
- 59:06Speaker 3: That they love to be up on the wrist. They should.
- 59:09Speaker 4: Yeah, and I'm hoping, actually fingers crossed that they become
- 59:15Speaker 4: because the cats that I had and that my wife
- 59:19Speaker 4: had were useless in terms of killing rats. I think
- 59:21Speaker 4: these orange ones might be our new hunters.
- 59:23Speaker 3: Oh yeah, if you're going to have it. They have
- 59:25Speaker 3: a little bit of that hour and they've got the
- 59:26Speaker 3: killer instinct.
- 59:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 59:27Speaker 4: One a woman came and told us that she saw
- 59:30Speaker 4: the girl kill a cockroach on the sidewalk today.
- 59:33Speaker 3: Perfect, Yes, she's the letter work in the speed bag. Well,
- 59:39Speaker 3: I think we should play a game. We're gonna play
- 59:41Speaker 3: a game called Gift or a Curse. But I need
- 59:43Speaker 3: a number between one and ten from you.
- 59:44Speaker 5: Jigsaw over here.
- 59:47Speaker 3: I'm speaking of Halloween. I need a number between one
- 59:53Speaker 3: and ten.
- 59:53Speaker 5: From you two. Okay, let's see if we have the
- 59:56Speaker 5: same one. Now we don't.
- 59:57Speaker 3: What were you going to say?
- 59:58Speaker 5: Nine? Okay?
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: Interesting, but this is why you two worked so well together.
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: We will go.
- 1:00:05Speaker 4: I'm a four and he's a nine.
- 1:00:06Speaker 5: If if I were facing just say, if I were
- 1:00:09Speaker 5: facing Oz the mentalist, nine is what I would pick,
- 1:00:12Speaker 5: or possibly even ten.
- 1:00:14Speaker 4: Ten.
- 1:00:14Speaker 5: I mean, I just feel like, I mean, I'm not
- 1:00:17Speaker 5: going to ten. People forget.
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: No one ever says ten.
- 1:00:20Speaker 5: I'm going to beat him at his own game. But
- 1:00:23Speaker 5: I mean, I gotta take a swing at ten ten four.
- 1:00:26Speaker 5: I feel like I'm, you know, playing right into his hands.
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: People might as well not hear everyone. It's a nice
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: one to get, but ten, I think I maybe one
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: person has ever done that, and that was they won't
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: be asked back. But this is I need you to
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: use the microphone right now. You can recommend, promote.
- 1:00:47Speaker 5: I have to do some.
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: On your own.
- 1:00:51Speaker 5: Believe calculated get games the number four. Yes, okay.
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: The fact that you understand this almost every guest is
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: so baffled, I say, but you got it immediately.
- 1:01:01Speaker 5: I almost I mean, I'm so intrigued. I almost want
- 1:01:04Speaker 5: the calculation to happen out loud, but maybe that would
- 1:01:07Speaker 5: give way. It's a piece of it, the game.
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: But you can recommend, you can promote, do whatever you want.
- 1:01:13Speaker 5: I'll be right back. You're already on Patreon.
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: We're behind the curtain right now.
- 1:01:16Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, this is one click process. That's the
- 1:01:21Speaker 5: appeal of Patreon, isn't it? To sample our offerings at
- 1:01:25Speaker 5: patreon dot com slash.
- 1:01:28Speaker 4: It's Hollywood handbooking.
- 1:01:29Speaker 5: Friends, now believe Hollywood. I mean, that's not the that's
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: not the u r L, but certainly.
- 1:01:33Speaker 4: The u r L the flavor once still or something
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: that we have to.
- 1:01:36Speaker 5: Keep that great question.
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: Let's look, let's look.
- 1:01:41Speaker 5: We've got you. Love sports. We've got you.
- 1:01:46Speaker 4: I didn't do the QR code, so I probably can't
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: even search for you, but we'll try.
- 1:01:52Speaker 5: Uh. If you search Hollywood Handbook Patreon, you'll find video
- 1:01:58Speaker 5: feeds of our main show, a bonus show, video feeds
- 1:02:04Speaker 5: of that show, a basketball show, a baseball show. Sometimes
- 1:02:09Speaker 5: shows about are wild tales of the entertainment industry. It's
- 1:02:16Speaker 5: a it's a robust offering. Over there are we doing
- 1:02:21Speaker 5: sleepcam doing sleep muck bangs or whatever Bridger's doing. They
- 1:02:26Speaker 5: haven't gotten there quite.
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: Sleep people just watch it's a sleep tape.
- 1:02:35Speaker 5: Sep silly of me. Yes, well, here's your u r
- 1:02:39Speaker 5: L Patreon dot com slash c W slash Hollywood Handbooks.
- 1:02:43Speaker 5: So yes, it gets pretty pretty risque over there. Content
- 1:02:52Speaker 5: warning you are about to be extremely dangerously content.
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: You're gonna be flatlining real feel was this thing you
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: had to change.
- 1:03:02Speaker 4: The u r L Well, we had initially so we
- 1:03:06Speaker 4: when we launched the Patreon, Hollywood Handbook was just on
- 1:03:09Speaker 4: a network. It was its own thing, and we with
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: our friend Carl Tart, started this basketball show called The
- 1:03:14Speaker 4: Flagrant Ones, which we thought was kind of a funny name.
- 1:03:18Speaker 4: It was, you know, you can get a flagrant one
- 1:03:20Speaker 4: as a vow, but it's also you know, the defiant Ones,
- 1:03:22Speaker 4: I feel like had come out recently, and so we
- 1:03:28Speaker 4: that was the title of the Patreon. Then we moved
- 1:03:30Speaker 4: a lot of other stuff over there. And Andrew Schultz, yes.
- 1:03:35Speaker 5: He had a show called The Flagrant two for a.
- 1:03:38Speaker 4: While it was like the most popular Patreon.
- 1:03:41Speaker 5: Carant Okay, and yes, we have been accidentally listed among
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: man Sphere podcasts.
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: You've been looking to break into that circle for all
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: people have been I think accidentally directed to us sometimes
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: and they've been.
- 1:03:58Speaker 5: Tom Harris go on the flagrant ones.
- 1:04:01Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: Wow, wow, I don't think I even mentioned our patreons
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: r L Patreon dot com slash. I said, no gifts,
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: I'm very best. No c w Okay, everyone go to Patreon.
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: This is how we play Gift or Curse. I'm going
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: to name three things. You'll tell me if they are
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: a gift or a curse and why, and I'll tell
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: if you're right or wrong because there are correct answers,
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: so you can lose.
- 1:04:26Speaker 4: Be very careful.
- 1:04:27Speaker 5: I can't wait to hear how the four comes into
- 1:04:29Speaker 5: play or whatever the.
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: Four has got long gone.
- 1:04:31Speaker 5: Wow.
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: It was used to randomize which ones I picked. Okay,
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: to be fair, Okay, This first one is from a
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: listener named Johnny. Gift or a curse microwaves that display
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: enjoy your meal when the timer is done.
- 1:04:44Speaker 5: Wow. I've never gotten a microwave like that.
- 1:04:49Speaker 4: Me neither.
- 1:04:51Speaker 5: I don't.
- 1:04:55Speaker 4: You know I have two You want me to talk
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: through it?
- 1:05:00Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:05:00Speaker 4: So I have two like opposing instincts. One is don't
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: tell me what to do you little food robut you
- 1:05:07Speaker 4: tell you boss me around. But two is why am
- 1:05:11Speaker 4: I heating it up? If I'm not going to enjoy
- 1:05:13Speaker 4: my meal, which I don't always remember to do sometimes.
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: You know your microwave eser, you're gonna hurry the hustle
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: and bustle, and it's like, we're not taking the time
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: to enjoy our meal.
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: A gentle reminder like that, I think I'm going gift.
- 1:05:26Speaker 5: I I mean, if it has language capabilities like that,
- 1:05:30Speaker 5: then that means that it can be reprogrammed if you
- 1:05:33Speaker 5: have just a basic understanding of the engineering, the coding, yes,
- 1:05:39Speaker 5: the technology behind that, and so it can be reprogrammed
- 1:05:42Speaker 5: to say something like ouch oh and when you're done
- 1:05:46Speaker 5: using it, And so that can make you think twice
- 1:05:49Speaker 5: about how many trips you're taking to the microwave.
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: How hard you push the buttons as well, and right,
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: so like kicking it.
- 1:05:55Speaker 5: And then it's just for health purposes, You're like, Okay,
- 1:05:59Speaker 5: I'm going to be micro not as many things, because
- 1:06:02Speaker 5: I heard a microwave and now work the microves healthy.
- 1:06:06Speaker 5: I'm a little healthier. That seems like it could be
- 1:06:09Speaker 5: a really nice gift.
- 1:06:10Speaker 4: I'm also not starting on fire. I'm not making the
- 1:06:12Speaker 4: lights flicker of my house.
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I forgot about your microwave. Who knows if your
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: home could handle this type of microwave Probably not, probably not.
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: You're correct, it's a gift. Yeah, that's that's good tech.
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: I don't have one of these. I can't afford a
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: microwave that tells me anything. Mine has numbers and maybe
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: an error message.
- 1:06:33Speaker 5: I'll bet it scrolls along one of those levels and
- 1:06:36Speaker 5: letters might even be jumping up into the.
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: Little musical thing. Mine just beeps and goes down and
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: has kind of a bad level handle. So I think
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: that's a nice thing to have, and it really keeps
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: us present, Like you were saying, it's a nice reminder
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: to be present with your microwaved dinner. Okay. The second
- 1:06:54Speaker 3: one is from a listener Patreon listener Lisa Gift or
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: a curse cars in America with the European license plate
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: on the front. Have you seen these?
- 1:07:03Speaker 5: A European license plate on the front, So it's a
- 1:07:06Speaker 5: different license plate than the one in the back.
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: Yeah, I think so.
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: Sometimes I think it's like a diplomat or something, or
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: I think it's more of like a car.
- 1:07:15Speaker 4: People to me, Oh, is that like I used to
- 1:07:18Speaker 4: hear that, like, if you wanted like a European car,
- 1:07:20Speaker 4: you should go spend a month in Europe and drive
- 1:07:22Speaker 4: around the car, and then you'd ship it back and
- 1:07:24Speaker 4: be less than buying the import or something.
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: I mean true. Maybe in the nineties when I was
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: learning about this, it was.
- 1:07:30Speaker 4: But this is an easy one for me.
- 1:07:33Speaker 5: This is a curse.
- 1:07:35Speaker 4: It's just confusing.
- 1:07:37Speaker 5: It's not it's deliberately confusing. I mean that car. That
- 1:07:41Speaker 5: car belongs to the nefarious art thief Thomas Crown. There's
- 1:07:47Speaker 5: no one else that could be.
- 1:07:48Speaker 4: It's more deliberately confusing.
- 1:07:50Speaker 5: Its designed to confuse inter Paul and NYPD alight. And
- 1:07:57Speaker 5: so when you flip the car back where it's whatever,
- 1:07:59Speaker 5: you're big person, dude buy.
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: He's even designed to fool his own lover.
- 1:08:03Speaker 5: So he's actually across national jurisdictions at any given time
- 1:08:08Speaker 5: to depending on whether he sits in the front seat
- 1:08:10Speaker 5: or the backseat.
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: He's essentially on the ocean. No law applies to this man.
- 1:08:15Speaker 5: But he appreciates the finer things, doesn't. He almost seems
- 1:08:19Speaker 5: more deserving of the art than just the lay person.
- 1:08:22Speaker 4: And then you mentioned ocean. I go only person, I
- 1:08:24Speaker 4: know would have that car, Danny Ocean, Anny Ocean, Right,
- 1:08:28Speaker 4: he also would be willing.
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: To he would love that car, salivating over that sort
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: of car. So you're saying, curse, it's a case, yeah, correct, curse. Look,
- 1:08:39Speaker 3: when I'm on the freeway, I need to know where
- 1:08:40Speaker 3: I am. I need to know which country I'm in.
- 1:08:43Speaker 5: Which side you're supposed to drive onto.
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: Suddenly I'm sick to my stomach saying that thing Migrain's galore.
- 1:08:49Speaker 3: Where am I am? I in Paris or Los Angeles.
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: It's a tough thing to see.
- 1:08:54Speaker 4: I have a this needing to know where I am.
- 1:08:56Speaker 4: This reminds me of maybe a fun story you might like.
- 1:09:00Speaker 4: So I was working on the production of this show
- 1:09:04Speaker 4: called Kevin Can Fuck Himself, and it filmed in Boston.
- 1:09:07Speaker 4: It was during COVID and we were all in quarantine.
- 1:09:10Speaker 4: But the star of the show, Annie Murphy, had been
- 1:09:13Speaker 4: nominated for a Golden Globe, and so we went over
- 1:09:16Speaker 4: to her apartment, all the people who worked on the
- 1:09:19Speaker 4: show and we're friends with her, so that we could
- 1:09:20Speaker 4: kind of be there with her as she did like
- 1:09:23Speaker 4: the COVID remote Golden Globe and we were inside the
- 1:09:27Speaker 4: like remote video zoom green room with all of the
- 1:09:31Speaker 4: other nominees. One of them was Julia Garner. One of
- 1:09:38Speaker 4: them was Gillian Anderson. Gillian Anderson, that's a good question.
- 1:09:43Speaker 4: But at any rate, Gillion, maybe a Gill Gillian Anderson.
- 1:09:47Speaker 4: So everyone's sort of just awkwardly like all these actors
- 1:09:52Speaker 4: are just sitting in a silent zoom like as they
- 1:09:54Speaker 4: wait for their category. And at one point, Julia says,
- 1:10:00Speaker 4: we'll go with Gillian. Gillian, it's so good to see you.
- 1:10:05Speaker 4: We actually had dinner together a few months ago. I
- 1:10:08Speaker 4: met you at a dinner and Gillian goes, oh, really
- 1:10:12Speaker 4: in what country?
- 1:10:15Speaker 5: Awesome? Can you believe that's her first question?
- 1:10:18Speaker 4: What a weird question.
- 1:10:20Speaker 5: That's how she gotta narrow it down.
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: Wow, what a life.
- 1:10:25Speaker 4: I'm having dinner in so many countries.
- 1:10:27Speaker 5: And also narrowed at like when she might have had
- 1:10:29Speaker 5: dinner with Julia Garner. Yes, I'm certain that hasn't happened
- 1:10:34Speaker 5: to me. I would have remembered.
- 1:10:36Speaker 3: Yeah, so bare like doesn't even really register for her.
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: She's just with celebs all the time in every country.
- 1:10:42Speaker 3: She could imagine who won?
- 1:10:44Speaker 5: Gillian? Yeah, oh interesting, I think.
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: And was that a move on?
- 1:10:48Speaker 4: Gillian show up. I don't remember, honestly, I was. I
- 1:10:53Speaker 4: blacked out after that happened?
- 1:10:56Speaker 3: Which country?
- 1:10:57Speaker 4: Yeah, isn't that good?
- 1:10:59Speaker 5: Wow?
- 1:11:00Speaker 3: She's she's a Thomas Crowton type if there ever was one.
- 1:11:03Speaker 4: Wow.
- 1:11:04Speaker 3: Okay, you've gotten two rights so far. This is the
- 1:11:06Speaker 3: final one. This is from Patreon listener Mary Anne. Gift
- 1:11:09Speaker 3: or a curse being able to edit text messages after
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: sending mmm mmmmmm mm.
- 1:11:18Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:11:18Speaker 4: This one's the hard This is the hard one.
- 1:11:20Speaker 3: This is the tough thing.
- 1:11:21Speaker 4: This is the hard one.
- 1:11:23Speaker 5: It's a gift, So.
- 1:11:26Speaker 4: Why might it be a curse? This is the question,
- 1:11:30Speaker 4: and the answer for me is sometimes you don't do
- 1:11:32Speaker 4: it fast enough and then you go, I wish I
- 1:11:36Speaker 4: had done that, and if the technology didn't exist, I
- 1:11:38Speaker 4: would never know that pain.
- 1:11:40Speaker 5: M But.
- 1:11:44Speaker 4: Sometimes you do fix something that might have been a
- 1:11:49Speaker 4: little embarrassing, and sometimes you can see that your friend
- 1:11:52Speaker 4: made a mistake.
- 1:11:56Speaker 5: I first of all, it's it's it's cutting down on
- 1:11:58Speaker 5: the number of texts on getting which is a good
- 1:12:00Speaker 5: thing because someone if someone sends me almost they're just
- 1:12:06Speaker 5: porking and then sends parking, right, that's twenty cents instead
- 1:12:12Speaker 5: of just ten.
- 1:12:13Speaker 4: Well, not only that, I would say just porking, porking,
- 1:12:17Speaker 4: I mean porking parking.
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: And then an angry I hate auto correct, auto.
- 1:12:22Speaker 5: Correct, the emoji, the cursing emojis, like, don't curse crass,
- 1:12:28Speaker 5: Absolutely no need for that.
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: I'm trying to have dinner.
- 1:12:31Speaker 5: But it's also it's it's fun to sign it's and
- 1:12:35Speaker 5: it's worth running up the bill a little bit to
- 1:12:38Speaker 5: be able to then respond pork Yes, the funniness of
- 1:12:42Speaker 5: saying pork and then other people there's other people in
- 1:12:45Speaker 5: the chat. They can say porking too, and we're you know,
- 1:12:47Speaker 5: we're like, we're spending a little money on the extra text,
- 1:12:50Speaker 5: but it's.
- 1:12:51Speaker 4: Worth It's not like we never see typos. How about
- 1:12:56Speaker 4: the people that you know, you know saw it and
- 1:12:58Speaker 4: they just don't edit it too.
- 1:13:00Speaker 3: Oh that's an attitude, I know, what a life that
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: person's lead country the.
- 1:13:06Speaker 5: Really rich like super rich producers, and the Sony hack
- 1:13:12Speaker 5: was a real example of this. They aren't looking at
- 1:13:16Speaker 5: their device while.
- 1:13:16Speaker 3: They're from their AOL account. Yes, this was like I
- 1:13:21Speaker 3: think there was a whole article at one point where
- 1:13:22Speaker 3: like people with AOL accounts are the richest people.
- 1:13:26Speaker 5: They write emails like they are sprinting past the keyboard.
- 1:13:31Speaker 3: No time. Yeah, that's someone who doesn't care that much
- 1:13:36Speaker 3: the school.
- 1:13:37Speaker 5: I could never do that.
- 1:13:38Speaker 4: The most famous powerful person I said, mass emails that
- 1:13:44Speaker 4: are just all typeos every yes, as if he sneezed
- 1:13:50Speaker 4: on the keyboard, and I'm like, wow, I get it.
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: No one's ever going to say anything to him about it.
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: Why would you? I mean, that's the person in charge.
- 1:14:04Speaker 5: He thinks that's how what words look like. Now, yeah,
- 1:14:09Speaker 5: it is.
- 1:14:10Speaker 4: It is an interesting version of like the protective bubble
- 1:14:13Speaker 4: that you can find yourself.
- 1:14:15Speaker 3: Oh yes, like kind of the ultimate example of that.
- 1:14:17Speaker 3: You were showing everyone your behavior and no one is
- 1:14:19Speaker 3: saying anything about it.
- 1:14:20Speaker 5: It's nice.
- 1:14:21Speaker 4: But also just like I think this person sends a
- 1:14:25Speaker 4: lot more text and emails that I do throughout today,
- 1:14:27Speaker 4: and like it just can't kind of worry over each
- 1:14:31Speaker 4: piece of punctuation the way that I do, like is
- 1:14:34Speaker 4: this okay, I got to show it to my wife?
- 1:14:36Speaker 4: Is this okay? If I say this back so good.
- 1:14:39Speaker 5: I'll say curse. Then now it's just sanding down the
- 1:14:43Speaker 5: human experience, the variability of our this is good.
- 1:14:47Speaker 3: One of us has to win, and one of us
- 1:14:48Speaker 3: has to lose. So, yeah, you're saying curse, you're saying gifts. Yeah,
- 1:14:53Speaker 3: it's a curse. I'm sorry, that's okay, it's a curse.
- 1:14:56Speaker 4: I kind of feel it.
- 1:14:57Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:14:57Speaker 3: Look, we want our text swarts and all. We want
- 1:15:01Speaker 3: to see our friends make mistakes. At the very least,
- 1:15:04Speaker 3: you get to see your friend in a vulnerable state.
- 1:15:07Speaker 4: And why not.
- 1:15:08Speaker 5: You know, the LA's really pure communication format.
- 1:15:12Speaker 3: Yes, it's Texting is the only way we can really
- 1:15:14Speaker 3: communicate with each other and show our true selves. So,
- 1:15:18Speaker 3: but two out of three is not bad. I didn't
- 1:15:20Speaker 3: want to win, and that's a good attitude. We need
- 1:15:26Speaker 3: to answer an email people are writing into I said,
- 1:15:28Speaker 3: no gifts at gmail dot com, begging for answers. We
- 1:15:31Speaker 3: help me answer a question.
- 1:15:32Speaker 5: Sure, you have so many suggestions that you have to
- 1:15:36Speaker 5: not just take a number from one to ten, but
- 1:15:39Speaker 5: then do an additional computation on top of that to
- 1:15:44Speaker 5: determine it. So you're I mean, wait the game.
- 1:15:47Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a very complicated show. This is a thinking
- 1:15:51Speaker 3: person's show.
- 1:15:52Speaker 4: Every aspect of the layers of this thing. Man that
- 1:15:55Speaker 4: we've bent, the hoops I jumped through to come sit
- 1:15:57Speaker 4: at this table.
- 1:16:00Speaker 5: Is out of honey control.
- 1:16:03Speaker 3: Okay, this is high Bridger. I have two younger brothers
- 1:16:05Speaker 3: who are both incredibly difficult to shop for. I consider
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: myself to be a good gift giver, but I really
- 1:16:10Speaker 3: struggle with the two of them, especially since I don't
- 1:16:13Speaker 3: spend a ton of time with either of them. The
- 1:16:15Speaker 3: younger one is eighteen and makes electronic music. This is
- 1:16:19Speaker 3: his only hobby, and it's too expensive to buy him
- 1:16:21Speaker 3: music equipment. The other is twenty one and doesn't have
- 1:16:24Speaker 3: any hobbies, unless you count smoking pot and hanging out
- 1:16:26Speaker 3: with this cat to be a hobby. It's a little
- 1:16:28Speaker 3: judgment on there. My question is how do you shop
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: for two young boys who aren't into many things? Sincerely?
- 1:16:35Speaker 3: That's from Annie and Montana.
- 1:16:37Speaker 5: HEYI girlfriend, Hey I girlfriend?
- 1:16:39Speaker 4: Yeah I girlfriend?
- 1:16:40Speaker 5: The love you need?
- 1:16:41Speaker 3: An AI girlfriend?
- 1:16:43Speaker 4: One of them has the easiest question you've ever gotten.
- 1:16:45Speaker 4: It's an AI girlfriend.
- 1:16:47Speaker 3: Honestly, Oh my god, Big Sky Country.
- 1:16:50Speaker 5: Yes, they absolutely can share. One, could share the.
- 1:16:53Speaker 3: Whole planet, could share one single AI girlfriend. That's the
- 1:16:57Speaker 3: power of AI. That's why we're pouring money into the We're.
- 1:17:00Speaker 4: All married to simone.
- 1:17:02Speaker 5: What was the second brother do?
- 1:17:04Speaker 3: He doesn't do anything, but he smokes spot hangs out.
- 1:17:06Speaker 5: With about this. For the DM brother. You know how
- 1:17:11Speaker 5: Steve Aoki throws a big sheet cake into the Yes,
- 1:17:16Speaker 5: you can get the sheet cake for the one EDM
- 1:17:19Speaker 5: brother to throw at the stoner brother and then he's
- 1:17:23Speaker 5: got the munchies.
- 1:17:24Speaker 4: He could eat that.
- 1:17:26Speaker 5: Cake off himself two for one. Yeah, And it's not
- 1:17:29Speaker 5: like this guy has like I mean, there's a kid
- 1:17:32Speaker 5: who is into EDM. He doesn't have like huge crowds.
- 1:17:35Speaker 5: He probably just has the brother. So he's gonna throw
- 1:17:38Speaker 5: the sheet cake at a single person.
- 1:17:40Speaker 3: I'd love to see Steve ak throw it just I
- 1:17:42Speaker 3: could get one.
- 1:17:43Speaker 5: Person just did the you know, just probably in the
- 1:17:45Speaker 5: living room.
- 1:17:46Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I think that that kind of just ends.
- 1:17:50Speaker 3: I don't have anything to add to that. Really, the
- 1:17:52Speaker 3: AI girlfriend is free. The cake is going to run
- 1:17:56Speaker 3: her what twenty dollars? She can have a nice message
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: put on it for both of them.
- 1:18:00Speaker 5: What is the sheet cake in Montana? I think you
- 1:18:04Speaker 5: could probably get one for we think we're single digits?
- 1:18:09Speaker 4: Yeah, single, I think teens. The ones that he got
- 1:18:14Speaker 4: eight ninety nine plus task he does then by the
- 1:18:16Speaker 4: time you check out, you're looking about twelve bucks.
- 1:18:18Speaker 5: He does the bigger ones. I was picturing him more
- 1:18:21Speaker 5: like teen size.
- 1:18:22Speaker 3: A teenat cake. They're all the rage, the teen sheets.
- 1:18:29Speaker 3: I was recently, I had to buy a cake at
- 1:18:32Speaker 3: a grocery store, and I was shocked by how cheap
- 1:18:34Speaker 3: they actually are.
- 1:18:34Speaker 5: Cakes are crazy. That's that was part of my instinct.
- 1:18:37Speaker 4: They've solved it.
- 1:18:38Speaker 5: They're crazy.
- 1:18:39Speaker 3: Yeah, if you go to the grocery store, a decorated
- 1:18:42Speaker 3: object should cost a decent amount of money. But then
- 1:18:44Speaker 3: you're like, oh, this was nine dollars terrifying?
- 1:18:47Speaker 5: How I don't know what something like that together.
- 1:18:51Speaker 4: Right, teenage sheet Cake to the tune of teenenage dirt Bag.
- 1:19:01Speaker 3: That songs I kind of do for a commercial parody or.
- 1:19:06Speaker 5: When you're saying that song in the in the car.
- 1:19:08Speaker 5: I'm so relieved when you get to dirt because like
- 1:19:11Speaker 5: you don't have to be pushing like the word through
- 1:19:15Speaker 5: your nose as much right away, Sheet I have to like.
- 1:19:23Speaker 3: Whole nasal passage collapses. Well, we answered the question perfectly.
- 1:19:28Speaker 3: Don't write back in and I have my puzzle. You
- 1:19:32Speaker 3: have this, enjoy I'm glad you too finally agreed to
- 1:19:36Speaker 3: be on the podcast. Yeah, and uh, thank you for
- 1:19:39Speaker 3: being here.
- 1:19:40Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 1:19:42Speaker 3: Listener, the podcast is over. I have my puzzle. You
- 1:19:45Speaker 3: have nothing, Uh, find something to do with your day. Please,
- 1:19:48Speaker 3: I'm begging you. I love you, goodbye? I said, No
- 1:19:57Speaker 3: Gifts is an exactly right production. Our senior producer is
- 1:20:01Speaker 3: on Alise Nelson and our episodes are beautifully mixed by
- 1:20:04Speaker 3: Ben Holliday. The theme song is by Miracle Worker Amy
- 1:20:08Speaker 3: Mann and we couldn't do it without our booker, Patrick Cottner.
- 1:20:12Speaker 3: You must follow the show on Instagram at I said

- 1:20:22Speaker 1: Did you hear? Funa man myself perfectly clear. When you're
