- 0:37and if you guys are interested, we now have a good morning from
- 0:41the chicken coop, YouTube channel.
- 0:43So you can just go over to YouTube and putting good morning
- 0:46from the chicken coop, and you will be able to see the babies
- 0:48and we've got videos are up there.
- 0:49Flying my daughter, Madison's been helped me out, so it's it's
- 0:52pretty cool. They're getting big.
- 0:54So I wanted to just share that with you all today and have you
- 0:56go look first time, I'm making the announcement about it.
- 1:01Today, we are talking about pruning.
- 1:04Now, you might be saying, why are we having a gardening
- 1:06lesson? But this is not about gardening
- 1:09per se. This is about ourselves.
- 1:11So pruning in general, most people understand it when it
- 1:15comes to trees, if a tree is disease, you prune it, you cut
- 1:18something away, plants you prune your plants back, you cut them
- 1:21back and reshape them. My husband does Banzai.
- 1:24So that's a whole different art form of being creative with
- 1:28pruning and training. Training the tree to do things.
- 1:32And I want to give you a different concept on it today,
- 1:36just because I spent a little bit of time yesterday afternoon
- 1:40working on my vegetable garden and I'm obviously a little
- 1:45obsessive. I have a 50 by 50 garden and I
- 1:49grow all kinds of cool vegetables and I'll do canning
- 1:52and everything with them, but so it's a lot of peppers.
- 1:54I'm growing. And one of the things that I
- 1:56learned years ago about Peppers was that when you plant them, If
- 2:01you just let it go and you you know, don't do any pruning to
- 2:05the pepper. You'll have like maybe a 12 inch
- 2:08tall plant and it will start having the flowers and you'll
- 2:11end up with peppers in the plant is very tiny and the peppers
- 2:14seem to wait over and it's very hard for the plant to produce.
- 2:19Now, if you go buy a pepper plant in a store and you get one
- 2:23in a bigger pot, that one has actually been pruned, you don't
- 2:27realize it. But what's happened is some has
- 2:29gone in and pull Old off all the peppers and it's a signal to the
- 2:33plant that says please don't flower, I want you to get
- 2:36bigger, you're not ready to produce the fruit.
- 2:38Want you to get bigger. And as I was doing this little
- 2:42action yesterday, I thought, gosh, this is such a thing that
- 2:45I do with my clients and that we work on regularly as we
- 2:49constantly have to prune things and put ourselves in the best
- 2:55position we can to grow the outcome.
- 2:58But if you're not willing to look at, At removing the flower,
- 3:03which can be scary sometimes to have to remove something.
- 3:06If you start it starts happening and you're like, oh gosh, you
- 3:09know, I really want this to happen but I'm not ready or I
- 3:13don't have the right team in place or I don't have the right
- 3:15resources in place. Sometimes you have to say you
- 3:18know what, I have to hold back or I have to not make that
- 3:20announcement. So you know there was a reason
- 3:23why I chose this subject today for the podcast when I talked
- 3:27about the YouTube channel because Because YouTube
- 3:31channels, been up for gosh, probably like six months, seven
- 3:35months. And I have not told anybody
- 3:38about it, my daughter and I have just been working diligently to
- 3:41put things up. Now, when you get there, there's
- 3:44organic things that people have just found it.
- 3:46I don't even know how because we've never made the
- 3:48announcement to anybody. But what's funny about it is I
- 3:52was pruning back talking about that outcome until I could
- 3:55populate it just like I did with the podcast.
- 3:58I didn't tell anybody about it until I A whole bunch of them up
- 4:02till I had 30 days of them done. And I said to everybody.
- 4:04Okay, now they're done and we're so anxious to always, just get
- 4:08to the outcome, get to the fruit, get to the end result
- 4:11that we don't stop ourselves and say, hey you know what?
- 4:13I can't. I'm not ready for that yet.
- 4:16And is it hard? Yes.
- 4:17Has it been hard? Well, I was inconsistent with
- 4:20making videos. They still am and I'm still not
- 4:22in the habit of doing it, so I waited, waited waited, waited
- 4:25waited. But then I thought, you know
- 4:26what, baby chicks are here, this is a great time for me to talk
- 4:30about it. My daughter's been haunting me
- 4:31to do it. Okay, I'm going to go out and
- 4:33pull the trigger and say Here's the fruit of the labor.
- 4:37So I want you to really think about this because sometimes we
- 4:40get so hung up on certain aspects of things that we miss
- 4:44that we need to prune back stuff and we need to hold our tongue.
- 4:47We need to wait. Need to look for the right
- 4:49person. The partner.
- 4:49The place is the things that we need and before you rush to
- 4:54throw yourself out there, you have to stop and go.
- 4:57Okay, is this premature like I never Announce that I'm writing
- 5:01a new book. I just show up with a done
- 5:04product and I wait and it feels great because I haven't told
- 5:09anybody what I'm doing. Now, some people interpret that
- 5:12as me being we're private, not necessarily true.
- 5:16Those that are close know what I'm doing.
- 5:19I don't need to have everybody else know though, I can pull
- 5:22back prune that away, make sure I'm on task.
- 5:25So look at what has to be pruned.
- 5:27Ask yourself that very specific question, where do I Need to cut
- 5:31something off. In order to make myself,
- 5:33stronger taller thicker better and get a really, really
- 5:38beautiful outcome. All right, my friends.
- 5:40I hope you have a blessed day and I'll see you tomorrow.
- 5:42Bye. Need to cut something off.
- 5:32In order to make myself, stronger taller thicker better
- 5:36and get a really, really beautiful outcome.
- 5:39All right, my friends. I hope you have a blessed day
- 5:41and I'll see you tomorrow. Bye.
