• 2:44
  today
• 2:44
  in
• 2:44
  this
• 2:44
  hour
• 2:45
  now,
• 2:46
  there's
• 2:46
  a
• 2:46
  lot
• 2:46
  of
• 2:46
  people,
• 2:46
  they're
• 2:47
  like,
• 2:47
  man,
• 2:47
  that
• 2:47
  bathroom
• 2:48
  has
• 2:48
  got
• 2:48

• 2:48
  Maybe
• 2:49
  you
• 2:49
  got
• 2:49
  a
• 2:49
  little
• 2:49
  water
• 2:49
  damage.
• 2:50
  Maybe
• 2:51
  it's
• 2:51
  just
• 2:51
  time
• 2:51
  to
• 2:51
  give
• 2:52
  it
• 2:52
  that
• 2:52
  upgrade
• 2:52
  or
• 2:52
  that

  kitchen
• 2:53
  that
• 2:54
  you
• 2:54
  are
• 2:54
  just
• 2:55
  tired
• 2:55
  of
• 2:55
  looking
• 2:56
  at.
• 2:56
  And
• 2:56
  you
• 2:57
  said
• 2:57
  last

  Thanksgiving
• 2:58
  season
• 2:58
  that
• 2:59
  you
• 2:59
  weren't
• 2:59
  going
• 2:59
  to
• 2:59
  cook
• 2:59
  on
• 3:00
  it
• 3:00
  again
• 3:00
  and
• 3:00
  you're
• 3:00
  going
• 3:00
  to
• 3:01
  dive
• 3:01
  into
• 3:01
  it
• 3:01
  this
• 3:01
  year.
• 3:02
  Here
• 3:02
  are
• 3:03
  my
• 3:03
  tricks,
• 3:03
  tips,
• 3:04
  secrets
• 3:05
  to
• 3:06
  designing.
• 3:06
  You
• 3:06
  know,
• 3:06
  here,
• 3:07
  here's
• 3:07
  a
• 3:07
  little
• 3:07
  background
• 3:08
  about
• 3:08
  me.
• 3:09
  I
• 3:09
  am
• 3:10
  a
• 3:10
  certified
• 3:10
  kitchen
• 3:11
  designer.
• 3:11
  I
• 3:11
  got
• 3:11
  that
• 3:12
  certification
• 3:12
  way
• 3:13
  back
• 3:13
  in
• 3:13
  1999
• 3:15
  and
• 3:15
  designed
• 3:16
  design
• 3:16
  kitchens
• 3:16
  for
• 3:17
  eight
• 3:17
  years
• 3:17
  beyond
• 3:17
  that.
• 3:18
  And
• 3:19
  so
• 3:19
  that
• 3:19
  is
• 3:19
  a
• 3:19
  certification
• 3:20
  through
• 3:20
  the
• 3:20
  National
• 3:21
  Kitchen
• 3:21
  and
• 3:21
  Bath
• 3:21
  Association.
• 3:23
  And
• 3:23
  I
• 3:23
  have
• 3:23
  designed
• 3:24
  thousands
• 3:25
  of
• 3:26
  kitchens
• 3:27
  across
• 3:27
  the
• 3:27
  west
• 3:27
  coast
• 3:28
  internationally.
• 3:29
  They
• 3:29
  have
• 3:30
  been
• 3:30
  all
• 3:30
  around
• 3:30
  everywhere
• 3:31
  stuff
• 3:31
  on
• 3:31
  the
• 3:31
  east
• 3:32
  Coast.
• 3:32
  I
• 3:33
  have
• 3:33
  traveled
• 3:33
  around
• 3:34
  and
• 3:34
  done
• 3:34
  a
• 3:34
  lot
• 3:34
  of
• 3:34
  projects
• 3:35
  like
• 3:35
  that.
• 3:36
  Well,
• 3:36
  today
• 3:36
  I
• 3:37
  thought,
• 3:37
  you
• 3:37
  know,
• 3:37
  let's
• 3:38
  dive
• 3:38
  in
• 3:38
  first
• 3:38
  here.
• 3:39
  Well,
• 3:39
  let's
• 3:39
  go
• 3:39
  into
• 3:39
  some
• 3:39
  kitchen
• 3:40
  design
• 3:41
  tips
• 3:41
  here,
• 3:42
  because
• 3:43
  that
• 3:43
  is
• 3:43
  probably
• 3:43
  one
• 3:44
  of
• 3:44
  the
• 3:44
  more
• 3:44
  expensive
• 3:45
  remodels
• 3:45
  you
• 3:45
  will
• 3:46
  do
• 3:46
  in
• 3:46
  your
• 3:46
  house,
• 3:47
  is
• 3:47
  diving
• 3:48
  into
• 3:48
  that
• 3:48
  kitchen.
• 3:49
  And
• 3:50
  one
• 3:50
  of
• 3:50
  the
• 3:50
  things
• 3:51
  that
• 3:51
  you
• 3:51
  need
• 3:51
  to
• 3:51
  be
• 3:51
  careful
• 3:52
  with
• 3:52
  before
• 3:52
  is
• 3:53
  making
• 3:54
  sure
• 3:54
  you
• 3:54
  pull
• 3:54
  the
• 3:54
  right
• 3:54
  permits
• 3:55
  and
• 3:55
  stuff
• 3:55
  on
• 3:55
  this
• 3:56
  project.
• 3:56
  Because
• 3:56
  there's
• 3:56
  a
• 3:57
  lot
• 3:57
  of
• 3:57
  gotchas
• 3:58
  in
• 3:58
  most
• 3:58
  areas.
• 3:59
  If
• 3:59
  you
• 3:59
  don't
• 3:59
  have
• 4:00
  a
• 4:01
  range
• 4:01
  hood
• 4:01
  that
• 4:01
  exhaust
• 4:02
  to
• 4:02
  the
• 4:02
  outside,
• 4:02
  you
• 4:03
  will
• 4:03
  be
• 4:03
  forced
• 4:03
  to
• 4:03
  put
• 4:04
  one
• 4:04
  in.
• 4:05
  That
• 4:05
  is
• 4:05
  current
• 4:06
  building
• 4:06
  code
• 4:06
  out
• 4:07
  there
• 4:07
  in
• 4:07
  most
• 4:07
  areas.
• 4:08
  Now,
• 4:08
  there
• 4:08
  are
• 4:08
  some
• 4:09
  people
• 4:09
  out
• 4:09
  there,
• 4:10
  Tom,
• 4:10
  that
• 4:10
  live
• 4:10
  in
• 4:10
  areas
• 4:11
  that
• 4:11
  are
• 4:11
  kind
• 4:11
  of
• 4:11
  the
• 4:11
  wild
• 4:12
  west
• 4:12
  of
• 4:12
  building
• 4:12
  codes.
• 4:13
  But
• 4:13
  in
• 4:13
  most
• 4:14
  areas
• 4:14
  that
• 4:14
  ventilation
• 4:15
  is
• 4:15
  required.
• 4:16
  And
• 4:16
  if
• 4:16
  it's
• 4:16
  not,
• 4:17
  you
• 4:17
  should
• 4:17
  be
• 4:18
  putting
• 4:18
  it
• 4:18
  in
• 4:18
  anyway.
• 4:19
  That
• 4:19
  vent
• 4:19
  hood
• 4:19
  needs
• 4:19
  to
• 4:20
  vent
• 4:20
  all
• 4:20
  the
• 4:20
  way
• 4:20
  outside,
• 4:21
  be
• 4:21
  a
• 4:22
  proper
• 4:22
  sized.
• 4:22
  And
• 4:23
  if
• 4:23
  it's
• 4:23
  too
• 4:23
  big,
• 4:23
  do
• 4:24
  you
• 4:24
  make
• 4:24
  sure
• 4:24
  you're
• 4:24
  putting
• 4:24
  in
• 4:24
  bank
• 4:25
  up
• 4:25
  air
• 4:26
  to
• 4:26
  replace
• 4:27
  that
• 4:27
  air
• 4:27
  coming
• 4:28
  in?
• 4:28
  So
• 4:29
  if
• 4:29
  you've
• 4:29
  got
• 4:29
  a
• 4:30
  500
• 4:31
  cubic,
• 4:32
  you
• 4:32
  know,
• 4:33
  feet
• 4:33
  per
• 4:33
  minute
• 4:34
  CFM
• 4:34
  hood
• 4:35
  that's
• 4:35
  going
• 4:35
  out,
• 4:36
  so
• 4:36
  you
• 4:37
  have
• 4:37
  500
• 4:37
  basketballs
• 4:38
  of
• 4:38
  air
• 4:38
  when
• 4:39
  it's
• 4:39
  turned
• 4:39
  on
• 4:39
  leaving
• 4:40
  the
• 4:40
  building,
• 4:41
  you
• 4:41
  need
• 4:41
  to
• 4:41
  replace
• 4:42
  that
• 4:42
  air
• 4:42
  with
• 4:42
  a
• 4:43
  makeup
• 4:43
  air
• 4:43
  unit
• 4:44
  to
• 4:44
  make
• 4:44
  sure
• 4:44
  that
• 4:44
  that's
• 4:45
  coming
• 4:45
  back
• 4:45
  in
• 4:46
  so
• 4:46
  you
• 4:46
  don't
• 4:46
  suck
• 4:46
  any
• 4:47
  carbon
• 4:47
  monoxide
• 4:48
  or
• 4:48
  any,
• 4:48
  you
• 4:48
  know,
• 4:49
  bad
• 4:49
  dirt
• 4:49
  out
• 4:49
  of
• 4:49
  a
• 4:49
  crawl
• 4:50
  space,
• 4:51
  anything
• 4:51
  like
• 4:51
  that.
• 4:51
  So
• 4:52
  you
• 4:52
  want
• 4:52
  to
• 4:52
  make
• 4:52
  sure
• 4:52
  you're
• 4:52
  replacing
• 4:53
  that
• 4:53
  air.
• 4:53
  But
• 4:53
  that's
• 4:53
  really
• 4:54
  not
• 4:54
  a
• 4:54
  big
• 4:54
  deal
• 4:54
  for
• 4:55
  an
• 4:55
  H
• 4:55
  Vac
• 4:55
  professional
• 4:57
  to
• 4:57
  install
• 4:57
  inside
• 4:58
  your
• 4:58
  house
• 4:58
  in
• 4:59
  most
• 4:59
  cases.
• 5:00
  Now,
• 5:00
  in
• 5:00
  my
• 5:01
  kitchen
• 5:01
  design
• 5:01
  tips,
• 5:02
  one
• 5:02
  thing.
• 5:03
  Back
• 5:03
  when
• 5:03
  I
• 5:03
  started
• 5:04
  kitchen
• 5:04
  design,
• 5:04
  they
• 5:05
  had
• 5:05
  what
• 5:05
  they
• 5:05
  called
• 5:06
  the
• 5:06
  kitchen
• 5:06
  triangle.
• 5:07
  And
• 5:07
  that
• 5:07
  was
• 5:08
  the
• 5:08
  space
• 5:08
  between
• 5:09
  the
• 5:09
  cooktop,
• 5:10
  the
• 5:11
  sink,
• 5:11
  and
• 5:11
  the
• 5:11
  refrigerator
• 5:12
  as
• 5:12
  a
• 5:13
  triangle.
• 5:14
  Now,
• 5:15
  that
• 5:15
  to
• 5:15
  me,
• 5:16
  is
• 5:16
  a
• 5:16
  kind
• 5:16
  of
• 5:16
  an
• 5:17
  outdated
• 5:17
  way
• 5:17
  of
• 5:17
  designing,
• 5:18
  and
• 5:18
  they've
• 5:18
  kind
• 5:18
  of
• 5:18
  started
• 5:19
  to
• 5:19
  go
• 5:19
  away
• 5:19
  from
• 5:20
  that
• 5:20
  a
• 5:20
  little
• 5:20
  bit,
• 5:21
  because
• 5:21
  many
• 5:22
  houses
• 5:22
  have,
• 5:23
  when
• 5:23
  you
• 5:23
  get
• 5:23
  into
• 5:23
  big
• 5:24
  kitchens,
• 5:24
  two
• 5:24
  sinks,
• 5:26
  two
• 5:26
  refrigerators,
• 5:27
  and
• 5:27
  that
• 5:27
  starts
• 5:28
  to
• 5:28
  get
• 5:28
  complex
• 5:29
  to
• 5:29
  me.
• 5:30
  I
• 5:30
  have
• 5:31
  always
• 5:31
  liked
• 5:31
  to
• 5:31
  design
• 5:32
  in
• 5:32
  zones.
• 5:33
  You
• 5:34
  have
• 5:34
  a
• 5:34
  prep
• 5:34
  zone,
• 5:35
  which
• 5:35
  is
• 5:35
  between
• 5:35
  the
• 5:36
  sink
• 5:37
  and
• 5:37
  the
• 5:37
  cooktop.
• 5:38
  You've
• 5:39
  got
• 5:39
  a
• 5:39
  cleanup
• 5:40
  zone
• 5:40
  that's
• 5:40
  on
• 5:40
  the
• 5:40
  other
• 5:41
  side
• 5:41
  of
• 5:41
  that.
• 5:42
  And
• 5:42
  then
• 5:42
  you've
• 5:43
  got
• 5:43
  that
• 5:43
  cooking
• 5:43
  serving
• 5:44
  where
• 5:44
  you're
• 5:44
  putting
• 5:45
  all
• 5:45
  those
• 5:45
  things
• 5:45
  around
• 5:45
  the
• 5:45
  cooktop
• 5:46
  there
• 5:46
  to
• 5:47
  make
• 5:47
  sure
• 5:47
  that
• 5:47
  you've
• 5:48
  got
• 5:48
  a
• 5:48
  place
• 5:48
  to
• 5:48
  put
• 5:48
  things
• 5:49
  like
• 5:49
  your
• 5:49
  spices
• 5:50
  Sauces,
• 5:50
  whatever
• 5:50
  else
• 5:51
  you're
• 5:51
  working
• 5:51
  on.
• 5:52
  And
• 5:52
  there's
• 5:52
  also
• 5:53
  landing
• 5:53
  zones
• 5:54
  near
• 5:54
  the
• 5:54
  oven.
• 5:55
  So
• 5:55
  let's
• 5:56
  talk
• 5:56
  about
• 5:56
  that
• 5:56
  a
• 5:56
  little
• 5:57
  bit.
• 5:57
  Imagine
• 5:58
  standing
• 5:59
  there
• 6:00
  looking
• 6:00
  at
• 6:01
  your
• 6:01
  kitchen
• 6:01
  window.
• 6:02
  So
• 6:02
  imagine
• 6:02
  this,
• 6:03
  and
• 6:04
  your
• 6:05
  range
• 6:05
  is
• 6:05
  on
• 6:06
  the
• 6:06
  right
• 6:06
  hand
• 6:06
  side.
• 6:08
  So
• 6:08
  now,
• 6:08
  as
• 6:08
  you're
• 6:08
  looking
• 6:09
  at
• 6:09
  the
• 6:09
  window,
• 6:09
  that
• 6:10
  right
• 6:10
  hand
• 6:10
  side
• 6:11
  is
• 6:11
  going
• 6:11
  to
• 6:12
  be
• 6:12
  your
• 6:12
  prep
• 6:12
  zone.
• 6:13
  Well,
• 6:13
  where
• 6:13
  do
• 6:14
  you
• 6:14
  want
• 6:14
  to
• 6:14
  put
• 6:14
  your
• 6:14
  dishwasher?
• 6:15
  On
• 6:16
  the
• 6:16
  opposite
• 6:17
  side
• 6:17
  on
• 6:17
  the
• 6:18
  left.
• 6:19
  Because
• 6:19
  above
• 6:19
  that
• 6:20
  countertop,
• 6:20
  right
• 6:21
  where
• 6:21
  that
• 6:21
  countertop
• 6:21
  is,
• 6:22
  that's
• 6:22
  your
• 6:22
  cleanup
• 6:23
  zone.
• 6:24
  So
• 6:24
  when
• 6:24
  you're
• 6:24
  over
• 6:24
  there
• 6:25
  prepping
• 6:25
  and
• 6:25
  you're
• 6:25
  wanting
• 6:26
  to
• 6:26
  get
• 6:26
  stuff
• 6:26
  out
• 6:26
  of
• 6:26
  the
• 6:26
  way
• 6:27
  that
• 6:27
  you're
• 6:27
  going
• 6:27
  to
• 6:27
  clean,
• 6:27
  after
• 6:29
  you're
• 6:29
  done
• 6:29
  doing
• 6:29
  the
• 6:30
  task
• 6:30
  you're
• 6:30
  doing,
• 6:31
  you
• 6:31
  put
• 6:31
  your
• 6:32
  stuff
• 6:32
  over
• 6:32
  there
• 6:32
  on
• 6:33
  top
• 6:33
  of
• 6:33
  that.
• 6:33
  You
• 6:33
  don't
• 6:34
  want
• 6:34
  the
• 6:34
  dishwasher
• 6:35
  to
• 6:36
  be
• 6:36
  right
• 6:36
  in
• 6:37
  that
• 6:37
  zone
• 6:37
  between
• 6:37
  the
• 6:38
  cooktop
• 6:38
  and
• 6:39
  the
• 6:39
  sink,
• 6:39
  because
• 6:40
  now
• 6:40
  your
• 6:40
  cleanup
• 6:41
  zone
• 6:41
  is
• 6:42
  right
• 6:42
  there
• 6:42
  in
• 6:43
  the
• 6:43
  way,
• 6:44
  and
• 6:44
  then
• 6:44
  the
• 6:44
  other
• 6:44
  side
• 6:45
  of
• 6:45
  that.
• 6:45
  So
• 6:45
  if
• 6:45
  you're
• 6:46
  sitting
• 6:46
  there
• 6:46
  looking
• 6:46
  at
• 6:46
  your
• 6:46
  sink,
• 6:47
  you
• 6:47
  now
• 6:48
  have
• 6:48
  the
• 6:48
  dishwasher
• 6:49
  on
• 6:49
  the
• 6:49
  left,
• 6:50
  the
• 6:50
  range
• 6:51
  over
• 6:51
  there
• 6:51
  a
• 6:51
  little
• 6:51
  farther
• 6:52
  down
• 6:52
  on
• 6:52
  the
• 6:52
  right.
• 6:53
  Now,
• 6:53
  I
• 6:54
  want
• 6:54
  to
• 6:54
  put
• 6:54
  a
• 6:54
  double
• 6:54
  trash
• 6:55
  can
• 6:55
  bin
• 6:56
  underneath
• 6:56
  the
• 6:56
  cabinet
• 6:57
  to
• 6:57
  the
• 6:57
  right
• 6:57
  of
• 6:57
  the
• 6:57
  sink.
• 6:59
  So
• 6:59
  that
• 6:59
  way,
• 6:59
  when
• 6:59
  you're
• 7:00
  prepping
• 7:00
  in
• 7:00
  that
• 7:00
  area,
• 7:01
  you
• 7:01
  can
• 7:01
  be
• 7:02
  prepping,
• 7:02
  you've
• 7:02
  got
• 7:02
  maybe
• 7:03
  some
• 7:03
  packaging,
• 7:03
  you've
• 7:04
  got
• 7:04
  some
• 7:04
  stuff
• 7:04
  that
• 7:05
  you're
• 7:05
  not
• 7:05
  gonna
• 7:06
  put
• 7:06
  down
• 7:06
  to
• 7:06
  the
• 7:06
  garbage
• 7:06
  disposal,
• 7:07
  you
• 7:07
  wanna
• 7:08
  throw
• 7:08
  it
• 7:08
  away.
• 7:08
  Now,
• 7:09
  that's
• 7:09
  underneath
• 7:10
  you
• 7:10
  right
• 7:10
  there
• 7:10
  in
• 7:10
  the
• 7:10
  lower
• 7:11
  cabinet.
• 7:12
  And
• 7:12
  if
• 7:13
  you're
• 7:13
  sitting
• 7:13
  in
• 7:13
  front
• 7:14
  of
• 7:14
  the
• 7:14
  sink
• 7:14
  and
• 7:15
  you're
• 7:15
  cleaning
• 7:16
  off
• 7:16
  dishes
• 7:16
  to
• 7:16
  put
• 7:16
  them
• 7:17
  in
• 7:17
  the
• 7:17
  dishwasher,
• 7:18
  you're
• 7:19
  scraping
• 7:19
  that
• 7:19
  off
• 7:19
  into
• 7:20
  the
• 7:20
  trash
• 7:20
  on
• 7:20
  the
• 7:20
  right,
• 7:21
  and
• 7:21
  you're
• 7:21
  putting
• 7:21
  them
• 7:21
  on
• 7:21
  the
• 7:21
  dishes
• 7:22
  on
• 7:22
  the
• 7:22
  left.
• 7:23
  Now
• 7:24
  that's
• 7:24
  kind
• 7:25
  of
• 7:25
  some
• 7:25
  of
• 7:25
  the
• 7:25
  things
• 7:25
  you
• 7:25
  wanna
• 7:26
  think
• 7:26
  about,
• 7:27
  of
• 7:27
  how
• 7:27
  you
• 7:27
  want
• 7:27
  to
• 7:27
  do
• 7:28
  that.
• 7:28
  And
• 7:29
  that's
• 7:29
  a
• 7:29
  great
• 7:30
  way
• 7:30
  to
• 7:31
  make
• 7:31
  sure
• 7:31
  that
• 7:31
  you're
• 7:31
  laying
• 7:32
  that
• 7:32
  kitchen
• 7:32
  out
• 7:33
  correctly.
• 7:34
  And
• 7:34
  the
• 7:34
  same
• 7:34
  thing
• 7:35
  is
• 7:35
  if
• 7:35
  you've
• 7:35
  got
• 7:35
  that,
• 7:36
  you
• 7:36
  know
• 7:36
  that
• 7:36
  double
• 7:37
  ovens,
• 7:37
  or
• 7:37
  oven,
• 7:38
  microwave,
• 7:38
  or
• 7:39
  any
• 7:39
  one
• 7:40
  of
• 7:40
  the
• 7:40
  iterations
• 7:41
  of
• 7:41
  that,
• 7:41
  from
• 7:41
  speed
• 7:42
  ovens
• 7:42
  to
• 7:43
  air
• 7:43
  fryers
• 7:44
  or
• 7:44
  whatever
• 7:44
  that's
• 7:44
  built
• 7:45
  in,
• 7:46
  I
• 7:46
  want
• 7:46
  to
• 7:46
  have
• 7:46
  a
• 7:47
  landing
• 7:47
  space
• 7:47
  right
• 7:48
  next
• 7:48
  to
• 7:48
  that.
• 7:48
  So
• 7:48
  if
• 7:49
  you
• 7:49
  take
• 7:49
  that
• 7:49
  turkey
• 7:50
  out,
• 7:51
  where
• 7:51
  are
• 7:51
  you
• 7:51
  setting
• 7:51
  it,
• 7:52
  your
• 7:52
  baking
• 7:53
  cookies,
• 7:53
  where
• 7:53
  you
• 7:54
  put
• 7:54
  them,
• 7:54
  is
• 7:54
  that
• 7:54
  on
• 7:55
  the
• 7:55
  island?
• 7:55
  Is
• 7:55
  it?
• 7:56
  Piece
• 7:56
  of
• 7:56
  countertop
• 7:56
  next
• 7:57
  to
• 7:57
  it,
• 7:57
  what
• 7:57
  is
• 7:57
  it?
• 7:58
  So
• 7:58
  these
• 7:59
  are
• 7:59
  all
• 7:59
  things
• 7:59
  that
• 7:59
  you
• 8:00
  want
• 8:00
  to
• 8:00
  think
• 8:00
  about
• 8:01
  in
• 8:01
  that
• 8:01
  zone
• 8:02
  area.
• 8:03
  Now,
• 8:03
  one
• 8:04
  of
• 8:04
  the
• 8:04
  first
• 8:04
  things
• 8:04
  that
• 8:05
  it's
• 8:05
  funny.
• 8:06
  One
• 8:06
  of
• 8:06
  the
• 8:06
  first
• 8:06
  rules
• 8:07
  that
• 8:07
  I've
• 8:07
  always
• 8:07
  done,
• 8:07
  and
• 8:08
  it
• 8:08
  doesn't
• 8:08
  always
• 8:09
  work
• 8:10
  out
• 8:10
  this
• 8:10
  way,
• 8:11
  but
• 8:11
  many
• 8:12
  people
• 8:12
  start
• 8:12
  out
• 8:12
  designing
• 8:13
  a
• 8:13
  kitchen.
• 8:13
  What
• 8:13
  do
• 8:14
  they
• 8:14
  do?
• 8:14
  They
• 8:14
  take
• 8:14
  the
• 8:14
  sink
• 8:14
  cabinet,
• 8:15
  center
• 8:15
  it
• 8:15
  on
• 8:16
  the
• 8:16
  window
• 8:17
  and
• 8:17
  then
• 8:17
  start
• 8:17
  building
• 8:18
  around
• 8:18
  that.
• 8:19
  Now,
• 8:20
  yeah,
• 8:20
  many
• 8:21
  people
• 8:21
  want
• 8:21
  that.
• 8:21
  There
• 8:22
  is
• 8:22
  some
• 8:22
  unwritten
• 8:23
  rule
• 8:23
  that
• 8:23
  says
• 8:23
  that
• 8:24
  sink
• 8:24
  has
• 8:24
  to
• 8:24
  be
• 8:25
  over
• 8:26
  there
• 8:26
  in
• 8:26
  front
• 8:26
  of
• 8:26
  the
• 8:26
  window.
• 8:27
  Well,
• 8:27
  that
• 8:28
  could
• 8:28
  also
• 8:28
  be
• 8:28
  a
• 8:28
  prep
• 8:28
  area
• 8:29
  with
• 8:29
  a
• 8:29
  tiny
• 8:29
  sink
• 8:30
  if
• 8:30
  you've
• 8:30
  got
• 8:30
  a
• 8:30
  bigger
• 8:30
  one.
• 8:31
  And
• 8:31
  the
• 8:31
  sink
• 8:32
  could
• 8:32
  go
• 8:32
  in
• 8:32
  the
• 8:32
  island.
• 8:33
  So
• 8:34
  it's
• 8:34
  really
• 8:34
  depending
• 8:34
  on
• 8:35
  what
• 8:35
  you're
• 8:35
  trying
• 8:35
  to
• 8:35
  do
• 8:35
  and
• 8:36
  how
• 8:36
  you're
• 8:36
  going
• 8:36
  to
• 8:37
  design
• 8:37
  the
• 8:37
  space.
• 8:38
  Because
• 8:38
  really
• 8:39
  it's
• 8:40
  kind
• 8:40
  of
• 8:40
  up
• 8:40
  to
• 8:40
  the
• 8:41
  designer
• 8:41
  and
• 8:41
  you.
• 8:42
  And
• 8:42
  yes,
• 8:43
  that
• 8:43
  is
• 8:43
  one
• 8:43
  of
• 8:43
  my
• 8:43
  rules
• 8:44
  that
• 8:44
  I
• 8:44
  have
• 8:44
  on
• 8:44
  here.
• 8:46
  Hire
• 8:46
  a
• 8:46
  kitchen
• 8:47
  designer.
• 8:48
  Hire
• 8:48
  a
• 8:49
  certified
• 8:49
  kitchen
• 8:50
  and
• 8:50
  bath
• 8:50
  designer.
• 8:50
  Now
• 8:51
  I'm
• 8:51
  old
• 8:51
  school.
• 8:52
  We
• 8:52
  had
• 8:53
  certified
• 8:53
  kitchen
• 8:53
  designers,
• 8:54
  we
• 8:54
  had
• 8:54
  certified
• 8:55
  bathroom
• 8:55
  designers.
• 8:56
  Now
• 8:57
  they
• 8:57
  have
• 8:57
  combined
• 8:57
  this
• 8:58
  together
• 8:58
  in
• 8:58
  the
• 8:58
  latest
• 8:59
  iteration.
• 8:59
  It's
• 9:00
  a
• 9:00
  certified
• 9:00
  kitchen
• 9:00
  and
• 9:00
  bath
• 9:01
  designer.
• 9:02
  Yes,
• 9:02
  I
• 9:03
  am
• 9:03
  grandfathered.
• 9:04
  I
• 9:04
  could
• 9:04
  go
• 9:04
  in
• 9:05
  there
• 9:05
  and
• 9:06
  take
• 9:06
  another
• 9:06
  couple
• 9:07
  little
• 9:07
  tests
• 9:08
  and
• 9:08
  be
• 9:08
  a
• 9:08
  certified
• 9:09
  master
• 9:10
  kitchen
• 9:11
  and
• 9:11
  bath
• 9:11
  designer.
• 9:12
  I'm
• 9:12
  not
• 9:12
  going
• 9:13
  to
• 9:13
  do
• 9:13
  that.
• 9:13
  I
• 9:13
  don't
• 9:13
  need
• 9:14
  that
• 9:14
  for
• 9:14
  my
• 9:14
  career.
• 9:15
  I
• 9:15
  don't
• 9:15
  have
• 9:16
  to
• 9:16
  worry
• 9:16
  about
• 9:17
  spend
• 9:17
  the
• 9:17
  time
• 9:17
  to
• 9:18
  prep
• 9:18
  for
• 9:18
  another
• 9:18
  test.
• 9:18
  These
• 9:19
  tests
• 9:19
  are
• 9:19
  massive.
• 9:20
  When
• 9:21
  I
• 9:21
  took
• 9:21
  it
• 9:21
  back
• 9:22
  in
• 9:22
  the
• 9:22
  day,
• 9:22
  that
• 9:22
  was
• 9:22
  a
• 9:23
  huge
• 9:23
  test.
• 9:23
  It
• 9:24
  was
• 9:24
  an
• 9:24
  eight
• 9:24
  hour
• 9:24
  day
• 9:25
  test,
• 9:25
  hand
• 9:26
  drafting,
• 9:27
  you
• 9:27
  know,
• 9:27
  probably
• 9:28
  three
• 9:28
  and
• 9:28
  a
• 9:28
  half
• 9:29
  hours
• 9:29
  of
• 9:29
  multiple
• 9:29
  choice
• 9:30
  questions.
• 9:30
  And
• 9:30
  they
• 9:30
  did
• 9:30
  it
• 9:31
  once
• 9:31
  a
• 9:31
  year.
• 9:31
  If
• 9:32
  you
• 9:32
  failed,
• 9:32
  you
• 9:32
  tried
• 9:33
  it
• 9:33
  the
• 9:33
  next
• 9:33
  year.
• 9:34
  I
• 9:34
  made
• 9:34
  it
• 9:34
  the
• 9:35
  first
• 9:35
  time
• 9:35
  through,
• 9:36
  but
• 9:36
  it
• 9:36
  was
• 9:36
  a
• 9:36
  tough
• 9:37
  battle
• 9:37
  to
• 9:37
  get
• 9:37
  through
• 9:38
  it.
• 9:39
  So
• 9:39
  really
• 9:40
  thinking
• 9:40
  about
• 9:41
  how
• 9:42
  all
• 9:42
  these
• 9:42
  things
• 9:43
  go.
• 9:43
  And
• 9:43
  sometimes,
• 9:44
  guys,
• 9:45
  when
• 9:45
  you're
• 9:46
  designing
• 9:46
  in
• 9:46
  a
• 9:46
  kitchen,
• 9:47
  taking
• 9:48
  it,
• 9:48
  making
• 9:48
  that
• 9:49
  or
• 9:49
  adding
• 9:49
  in
• 9:49
  that
• 9:50
  island
• 9:50
  can
• 9:50
  be
• 9:50
  a
• 9:51
  bad
• 9:51
  idea,
• 9:52
  especially
• 9:52
  in
• 9:53
  smaller
• 9:53
  kitchens.
• 9:54
  I
• 9:54
  want
• 9:54
  to
• 9:54
  see
• 9:54
  a
• 9:55
  minimum
• 9:56
  without
• 9:56
  seating
• 9:57
  of
• 9:57
  42
• 9:58
  inches
• 9:59
  of
• 9:59
  walkway
• 10:00
  space
• 10:00
  around
• 10:02
  that
• 10:02
  island.
• 10:03
  Many
• 10:03
  kitchens
• 10:04
  can't
• 10:04
  do
• 10:04
  that.
• 10:05
  And
• 10:05
  anything
• 10:06
  less
• 10:06
  than
• 10:06
  42
• 10:06
  to
• 10:07
  me
• 10:07
  is
• 10:07
  a
• 10:07
  mistake.
• 10:07
  You
• 10:08
  want
• 10:08
  people
• 10:08
  to
• 10:08
  be
• 10:08
  able
• 10:08
  to
• 10:08
  pass
• 10:09
  each
• 10:09
  other.
• 10:09
  You
• 10:10
  want
• 10:10
  people
• 10:10
  to
• 10:10
  be
• 10:10
  able
• 10:10
  to
• 10:11
  walk
• 10:11
  around
• 10:12
  and
• 10:12
  to
• 10:12
  be
• 10:12
  able
• 10:12
  to
• 10:12
  do
• 10:13
  their
• 10:13
  stuff
• 10:13
  like
• 10:13
  that.
• 10:13
  So
• 10:14
  make
• 10:14
  sure
• 10:14
  you've
• 10:15
  got
• 10:15
  the
• 10:15
  space
• 10:15
  to
• 10:15
  do
• 10:16
  this.
• 10:17
  If
• 10:17
  you've
• 10:17
  got
• 10:18
  seating
• 10:18
  there
• 10:19
  and
• 10:19
  it's
• 10:19
  not
• 10:19
  a
• 10:19
  major
• 10:20
  walkway,
• 10:20
  your
• 10:20
  minimum
• 10:21
  is
• 10:21
  more
• 10:21
  like
• 10:21
  60
• 10:22
  inches
• 10:23
  from
• 10:23
  countertop
• 10:24
  to
• 10:24
  whatever.
• 10:25
  And
• 10:25
  I
• 10:25
  like
• 10:26
  to
• 10:26
  have
• 10:26
  a
• 10:26
  little
• 10:26
  bit
• 10:26
  more
• 10:26
  if
• 10:27
  you
• 10:27
  have
• 10:27
  people
• 10:27
  walking
• 10:27
  past
• 10:28
  it.
• 10:28
  So
• 10:29
  those
• 10:29
  are
• 10:29
  some
• 10:29
  of
• 10:30
  the
• 10:30
  basic
• 10:30
  rules.
• 10:31
  We'll
• 10:31
  be
• 10:32
  right
• 10:32
  back
• 10:32
  after
• 10:32
  these
• 10:32
  important
• 10:33
  messages.
• 10:33
  Don't

  mentioned
• 13:21
  before,
• 13:22
  if
• 13:22
  you're
• 13:23
  a
• 13:23
  listener
• 13:23
  to
• 13:23
  the
• 13:23
  show,
• 13:23
  I
• 13:24
  am
• 13:24
  a
• 13:24
  certified
• 13:24
  kitchen
• 13:25
  designer
• 13:25
  that's
• 13:26
  been
• 13:26
  designing
• 13:26
  since
• 13:27
  early
• 13:27
  90s,
• 13:28
  certified
• 13:28
  since
• 13:29
  1999.
• 13:30
  This
• 13:30
  is
• 13:31
  my
• 13:31
  bread
• 13:31
  and
• 13:31
  butter
• 13:32
  of
• 13:32
  what
• 13:32
  I
• 13:32
  specialized
• 13:33
  my
• 13:33
  career
• 13:33
  in
• 13:34
  doing
• 13:34
  a
• 13:35
  lot
• 13:35
  of
• 13:35
  this
• 13:35
  remodeling,
• 13:36
  building
• 13:36
  new
• 13:37
  homes.
• 13:37
  But
• 13:38
  the
• 13:38
  kitchens
• 13:38
  and
• 13:38
  bathrooms
• 13:39
  are
• 13:39
  always
• 13:40
  my
• 13:40
  forte.
• 13:42
  Now
• 13:42
  this
• 13:42
  next
• 13:43
  segment
• 13:43
  here
• 13:43
  I
• 13:43
  wanted
• 13:44
  to
• 13:44
  talk
• 13:44
  about,
• 13:44
  since
• 13:44
  we
• 13:45
  were
• 13:45
  talking
• 13:45
  kitchens,
• 13:46
  some
• 13:47
  of
• 13:47
  my
• 13:47
  tricks
• 13:47
  here.
• 13:48
  And
• 13:48
  hiring
• 13:48
  a
• 13:48
  certified
• 13:49
  kitchen
• 13:49
  and
• 13:49
  bath
• 13:49
  designer
• 13:50
  is
• 13:50
  one
• 13:51
  of
• 13:51
  the
• 13:51
  most
• 13:51
  important
• 13:51
  ones.
• 13:52
  And
• 13:52
  here's
• 13:53
  why
• 13:54
  you
• 13:54
  now
• 13:54
  have
• 13:54
  an
• 13:55
  expert
• 13:55
  in
• 13:55
  your
• 13:56
  field.
• 13:57
  I
• 13:57
  would
• 13:57
  hire
• 13:58
  designers
• 13:59
  now.
• 13:59
  I
• 14:00
  had
• 14:00
  this
• 14:00
  company
• 14:01
  that
• 14:01
  I
• 14:01
  started
• 14:01
  up
• 14:01
  in
• 14:02
  Seattle.
• 14:02
  I
• 14:02
  have
• 14:02
  nothing
• 14:03
  to
• 14:03
  do
• 14:03
  with
• 14:03
  it
• 14:03
  anymore.
• 14:04
  I
• 14:04
  had
• 14:04
  business
• 14:05
  partners
• 14:05
  in
• 14:05
  there
• 14:06
  that
• 14:06
  you
• 14:07
  learn
• 14:07
  lessons
• 14:07
  in
• 14:07
  business
• 14:08
  when
• 14:08
  you
• 14:08
  figure
• 14:08
  out
• 14:08
  that
• 14:08
  you
• 14:09
  got
• 14:09
  the
• 14:09
  wrong
• 14:09
  business
• 14:09
  partners
• 14:10
  in
• 14:11
  and
• 14:11
  they
• 14:11
  are
• 14:12
  running
• 14:12
  that
• 14:12
  business
• 14:12
  now
• 14:13
  in
• 14:13
  Seattle.
• 14:13
  And
• 14:14
  as
• 14:14
  I
• 14:14
  say
• 14:14
  politely,
• 14:15
  good
• 14:15
  riddance.
• 14:17
  But
• 14:17
  here's
• 14:18
  the
• 14:18
  thing.
• 14:19
  When
• 14:19
  you
• 14:19
  hire
• 14:19
  a
• 14:20
  certified
• 14:20
  designer,
• 14:21
  you
• 14:22
  get
• 14:22
  somebody
• 14:23
  that
• 14:23
  has
• 14:23
  passed
• 14:24
  the
• 14:24
  test
• 14:24
  and
• 14:25
  knows
• 14:25
  what
• 14:25
  they're
• 14:26
  doing.
• 14:27
  Now
• 14:27
  when
• 14:27
  I
• 14:27
  would
• 14:27
  hire
• 14:28
  designers
• 14:29
  right
• 14:29
  out
• 14:29
  of
• 14:30
  college,
• 14:30
  they've
• 14:30
  got
• 14:31
  their
• 14:31
  degree,
• 14:31
  they
• 14:32
  have
• 14:32
  passed.
• 14:33
  I
• 14:34
  still
• 14:34
  have
• 14:34
  another
• 14:35
  year
• 14:35
  of
• 14:35
  time
• 14:36
  invested
• 14:36
  in
• 14:36
  them
• 14:36
  to
• 14:37
  get
• 14:37
  them
• 14:37
  up
• 14:37
  to
• 14:37
  speed
• 14:38
  to
• 14:38
  the
• 14:38
  real
• 14:39
  world.
• 14:40
  Now
• 14:40
  you
• 14:40
  as
• 14:40
  a
• 14:40
  homeowner
• 14:42
  or
• 14:42
  even
• 14:42
  your
• 14:42
  contractor,
• 14:43
  designing
• 14:44
  out
• 14:44
  the
• 14:45
  kitchen
• 14:46
  or
• 14:46
  just
• 14:47
  somebody
• 14:47
  in
• 14:47
  a
• 14:47
  cabinet
• 14:48
  shop
• 14:49
  is
• 14:49
  an
• 14:49
  issue.
• 14:50
  They
• 14:51
  need
• 14:51
  to
• 14:51
  have
• 14:52
  a
• 14:52
  year
• 14:52
  under
• 14:53
  their
• 14:53
  belt
• 14:53
  after
• 14:53
  college
• 14:55
  to
• 14:55
  be
• 14:56
  proficient
• 14:57
  to
• 14:57
  do
• 14:58
  this.
• 14:59
  Otherwise
• 14:59
  you
• 14:59
  are
• 15:00
  now
• 15:00
  their
• 15:00
  bell
• 15:00
  curve,
• 15:01
  the
• 15:01
  learning
• 15:01
  curve.
• 15:02
  The
• 15:02
  mistakes
• 15:03
  that
• 15:03
  are
• 15:03
  going
• 15:03
  to
• 15:03
  happen
• 15:04
  could
• 15:04
  happen
• 15:04
  on
• 15:04
  your
• 15:05
  job.
• 15:06
  And
• 15:06
  that's
• 15:06
  where
• 15:06
  I
• 15:07
  don't
• 15:07
  like
• 15:07
  working
• 15:07
  with
• 15:07
  a
• 15:08
  new
• 15:08
  designer
• 15:09
  now
• 15:09
  maybe
• 15:10
  they've
• 15:10
  got
• 15:10
  systems
• 15:11
  where
• 15:11
  they've,
• 15:11
  they're
• 15:11
  teaming
• 15:12
  up
• 15:12
  with
• 15:12
  people
• 15:13
  or
• 15:13
  they've
• 15:13
  got
• 15:14
  people
• 15:14
  doing
• 15:14
  double
• 15:14
  checks.
• 15:16
  But
• 15:16
  what
• 15:16
  I
• 15:16
  would
• 15:17
  do
• 15:17
  as
• 15:17
  a
• 15:17
  business
• 15:18
  owner
• 15:18
  is
• 15:18
  I
• 15:18
  would
• 15:18
  have
• 15:18
  my
• 15:19
  designers
• 15:19
  work,
• 15:20
  especially
• 15:21
  if
• 15:21
  they
• 15:21
  were
• 15:21
  new,
• 15:22
  work
• 15:23
  with
• 15:23
  a
• 15:23
  contractor
• 15:24
  for
• 15:24
  a
• 15:24
  week,
• 15:25
  install
• 15:25
  crown
• 15:26
  molding,
• 15:26
  put
• 15:26
  in
• 15:26
  kitchen
• 15:27
  cabinets
• 15:27
  so
• 15:27
  they
• 15:27
  understood
• 15:28
  what's
• 15:28
  going
• 15:29
  on.
• 15:29
  You
• 15:30
  have
• 15:30
  a
• 15:30
  homeowner
• 15:31
  going
• 15:31
  in
• 15:31
  there
• 15:31
  and
• 15:31
  copying
• 15:32
  your
• 15:33
  previous
• 15:33
  design.
• 15:34
  And
• 15:34
  walking
• 15:35
  into
• 15:35
  the
• 15:35
  home
• 15:35
  center
• 15:35
  and
• 15:36
  getting
• 15:36
  cabinets
• 15:36
  or
• 15:36
  having
• 15:36
  them
• 15:37
  quickly
• 15:37
  laid
• 15:37
  out
• 15:38
  could
• 15:38
  be
• 15:38
  your
• 15:39
  most
• 15:39
  expensive
• 15:39
  mistake
• 15:41
  because
• 15:41
  you're
• 15:41
  missing
• 15:42
  so
• 15:42
  many
• 15:42
  things.
• 15:43
  Think
• 15:43
  about
• 15:43
  what
• 15:43
  went
• 15:44
  into
• 15:44
  a
• 15:44
  kitchen
• 15:44
  30
• 15:45
  years
• 15:45
  ago.
• 15:46
  If
• 15:46
  you
• 15:46
  have
• 15:46
  a
• 15:46
  30
• 15:47
  or
• 15:47
  40
• 15:47
  year
• 15:47
  old
• 15:48
  kitchen.
• 15:48
  Yeah,
• 15:49
  the
• 15:49
  average
• 15:49
  lifespan
• 15:49
  of
• 15:50
  a
• 15:50
  kitchen
• 15:50
  is
• 15:50
  about
• 15:50
  15
• 15:51
  years.
• 15:52
  But
• 15:52
  if
• 15:52
  you've
• 15:52
  got
• 15:52
  that
• 15:52
  30
• 15:53
  or
• 15:53
  40
• 15:53
  year
• 15:53
  old
• 15:54
  kitchen,
• 15:54
  think
• 15:54
  about
• 15:54
  that.
• 15:55
  We
• 15:56
  didn't
• 15:56
  have
• 15:57
  everybody
• 15:57
  going
• 15:58
  down
• 15:58
  to
• 15:58
  Target
• 15:59
  and
• 16:00
  Sur
• 16:00
  La
• 16:00
  Table
• 16:01
  and
• 16:01
  Williams
• 16:01
  Sonoma,
• 16:02
  Pottery
• 16:03
  Barn,
• 16:03
  wherever
• 16:04
  getting
• 16:04
  all
• 16:04
  those
• 16:04
  accessories.
• 16:05
  It
• 16:06
  was
• 16:06
  pretty
• 16:06
  basic.
• 16:07
  Forty
• 16:08
  years
• 16:08
  ago
• 16:08
  we
• 16:08
  were
• 16:08
  trying
• 16:09
  to
• 16:09
  figure
• 16:09
  out
• 16:09
  where
• 16:09
  to
• 16:09
  put
• 16:09
  the
• 16:09
  microwave
• 16:10
  cart.
• 16:11
  Now
• 16:11
  we've
• 16:11
  got
• 16:12
  all
• 16:12
  these
• 16:12
  other
• 16:12
  things
• 16:13
  to
• 16:13
  store
• 16:13
  in
• 16:13
  there.
• 16:13
  So
• 16:14
  it's
• 16:14
  a
• 16:14
  completely
• 16:15
  different
• 16:16
  utility
• 16:17
  area
• 16:17
  for
• 16:17
  storage.
• 16:19
  So
• 16:19
  that's
• 16:19
  why
• 16:19
  you
• 16:19
  never
• 16:20
  want
• 16:20
  to
• 16:20
  copy
• 16:20
  that
• 16:21
  whole
• 16:21
  plan.
• 16:21
  You
• 16:21
  want
• 16:21
  to
• 16:22
  update
• 16:22
  that
• 16:22
  as
• 16:22
  you
• 16:23
  go
• 16:23
  through.
• 16:24
  And
• 16:24
  that's
• 16:24
  why
• 16:24
  having
• 16:24
  somebody
• 16:25
  that
• 16:25
  is
• 16:25
  smart,
• 16:26
  that
• 16:26
  is
• 16:26
  experienced,
• 16:28
  that
• 16:28
  can
• 16:28
  do
• 16:28
  that
• 16:29
  with
• 16:29
  you.
• 16:29
  And
• 16:30
  most
• 16:30
  of
• 16:30
  the
• 16:30
  time,
• 16:31
  it
• 16:31
  doesn't
• 16:31
  cost
• 16:31
  you
• 16:31
  anymore.
• 16:32
  If
• 16:33
  it
• 16:33
  does,
• 16:33
  it's
• 16:34
  tiny
• 16:35
  and
• 16:35
  it
• 16:35
  will
• 16:35
  save
• 16:36
  you
• 16:36
  money
• 16:36
  in
• 16:36
  the
• 16:36
  long
• 16:36
  run.
• 16:38
  The
• 16:38
  mistakes
• 16:38
  you
• 16:38
  make
• 16:39
  as
• 16:39
  a
• 16:39
  designer,
• 16:40
  if
• 16:40
  you're
• 16:41
  a
• 16:41
  homeowner
• 16:41
  trying
• 16:41
  to
• 16:42
  play
• 16:42
  designer
• 16:42
  on
• 16:42
  this,
• 16:42
  the
• 16:43
  mistakes
• 16:43
  you
• 16:43
  make
• 16:44
  will
• 16:44
  definitely
• 16:44
  cost
• 16:45
  you
• 16:45
  more
• 16:46
  than
• 16:46
  what
• 16:46
  the
• 16:47
  designer
• 16:47
  was
• 16:47
  that
• 16:47
  could
• 16:48
  have
• 16:48
  done
• 16:48
  it
• 16:48
  for
• 16:48
  you
• 16:48
  and
• 16:49
  had
• 16:49
  a
• 16:49
  better
• 16:49
  project.
• 16:50
  So
• 16:50
  take
• 16:51
  the
• 16:51
  ego,
• 16:51
  slide
• 16:52
  it
• 16:52
  away,
• 16:52
  you're
• 16:53
  not
• 16:53
  saving
• 16:53
  money
• 16:54
  and
• 16:54
  go
• 16:55
  hire
• 16:55
  that
• 16:55
  designer
• 16:55
  to
• 16:56
  come
• 16:56
  work
• 16:56
  with
• 16:56
  you.
• 16:56
  Now,
• 16:57
  many
• 16:57
  times
• 16:58
  that
• 16:58
  certified
• 16:58
  designer
• 16:59
  is
• 16:59
  already
• 16:59
  just
• 16:59
  going
• 17:00
  to
• 17:00
  be
• 17:00
  your
• 17:00
  designer.
• 17:00
  You're
• 17:01
  getting
• 17:01
  their
• 17:01
  expertise
• 17:02
  for
• 17:02
  free
• 17:02
  as
• 17:03
  part
• 17:03
  of
• 17:03
  the
• 17:03
  process.
• 17:04
  Now
• 17:04
  one
• 17:05
  other
• 17:05
  thing
• 17:05
  here
• 17:05
  too
• 17:06
  that's
• 17:06
  really
• 17:06
  important
• 17:08
  now,
• 17:08
  I
• 17:08
  am
• 17:09
  a,
• 17:09
  a
• 17:09
  group
• 17:10
  expert
• 17:11
  over
• 17:11
  on
• 17:12
  Facebook
• 17:13
  on
• 17:13
  a
• 17:13
  group
• 17:13
  called
• 17:14
  Ask
• 17:14
  a
• 17:14
  Cabinet
• 17:15
  Maker.
• 17:16
  Now
• 17:16
  this
• 17:16
  is
• 17:16
  Corbin
• 17:17
  Clay's
• 17:17
  group
• 17:17
  over
• 17:18
  there.
• 17:18
  He
• 17:18
  comes
• 17:18
  on
• 17:19
  my
• 17:19
  show
• 17:19
  from
• 17:19
  time
• 17:19
  to
• 17:20
  time.
• 17:20
  We
• 17:20
  have
• 17:20
  a
• 17:20
  lot
• 17:20
  of
• 17:20
  fun
• 17:21
  with
• 17:21
  that
• 17:22
  and
• 17:22
  he's
• 17:22
  really
• 17:23
  good
• 17:23
  with
• 17:24
  that
• 17:24
  page.
• 17:25
  Now
• 17:25
  here's
• 17:26
  the
• 17:26
  thing
• 17:26
  I
• 17:26
  see
• 17:26
  over
• 17:27
  there
• 17:27
  in
• 17:27
  the
• 17:27
  Ask
• 17:27
  a
• 17:27
  Cabinet
• 17:28
  maker.
• 17:28
  Now,
• 17:29
  there's
• 17:29
  34,000
• 17:30
  people
• 17:30
  in
• 17:30
  this
• 17:30
  group.
• 17:31
  If
• 17:31
  I
• 17:32
  go
• 17:32
  through
• 17:33
  and
• 17:33
  take
• 17:34
  a
• 17:34
  look
• 17:34
  at
• 17:35
  the
• 17:36
  issues
• 17:37
  that
• 17:37
  I
• 17:37
  see
• 17:38
  with
• 17:38
  Catry,
• 17:39
  when
• 17:39
  people
• 17:39
  come
• 17:40
  on
• 17:40
  and
• 17:40
  Go.
• 17:40
  I've
• 17:40
  got
• 17:40
  a
• 17:41
  huge
• 17:41
  problem.
• 17:42
  What
• 17:42
  is
• 17:42
  that
• 17:43
  problem?
• 17:44
  95%
• 17:45
  of
• 17:45
  the
• 17:45
  time
• 17:46
  it
• 17:46
  is
• 17:47
  not
• 17:47
  from
• 17:47
  a
• 17:47
  big
• 17:48
  box
• 17:48
  retailer.
• 17:49
  It
• 17:50
  is
• 17:50
  not
• 17:50
  from
• 17:50
  a
• 17:51
  large
• 17:51
  cabinet
• 17:51
  maker.
• 17:52
  It
• 17:53
  is
• 17:53
  from
• 17:53
  Air
• 17:54
  Quotes,
• 17:54
  a
• 17:54
  small
• 17:55
  custom
• 17:55
  shop
• 17:56
  in
• 17:56
  their
• 17:56
  neighborhood.
• 17:57
  Now
• 17:58
  you've
• 17:58
  heard
• 17:59
  me
• 17:59
  say
• 17:59
  this
• 17:59
  before,
• 17:59
  if
• 17:59
  you're
• 18:00
  a
• 18:00
  regular
• 18:00
  listener,
• 18:01
  but
• 18:01
  custom,
• 18:03
  that
• 18:03
  word
• 18:03
  in
• 18:04
  cabinetry
• 18:05
  means
• 18:06
  nothing
• 18:07
  other
• 18:07
  than
• 18:08
  they're
• 18:08
  building
• 18:09
  it
• 18:09
  for
• 18:09
  your
• 18:09
  project.
• 18:10
  Most
• 18:12
  craft
• 18:12
  made
• 18:12
  and
• 18:13
  most
• 18:13
  things
• 18:13
  that
• 18:13
  you
• 18:13
  order
• 18:14
  at
• 18:14
  the
• 18:14
  home
• 18:14
  center
• 18:14
  that
• 18:14
  are
• 18:15
  big
• 18:15
  name
• 18:15
  brands,
• 18:15
  they're
• 18:16
  making
• 18:16
  it
• 18:16
  for
• 18:16
  your
• 18:16
  project
• 18:17
  too.
• 18:18
  So
• 18:18
  custom
• 18:19
  has
• 18:19
  no
• 18:20
  meaning
• 18:20
  when
• 18:20
  it
• 18:20
  comes
• 18:20
  to
• 18:21
  quality.
• 18:22
  You
• 18:22
  could
• 18:22
  have
• 18:22
  an
• 18:22
  8
• 18:22
  year
• 18:23
  old
• 18:24
  in
• 18:24
  a
• 18:24
  wood
• 18:24
  shop
• 18:25
  class
• 18:25
  building
• 18:25
  you
• 18:26
  a
• 18:27
  kitchen
• 18:27
  cabinet
• 18:28
  and
• 18:28
  that's
• 18:28
  custom.
• 18:29
  Could
• 18:30
  look
• 18:30
  horrible.
• 18:31
  And
• 18:31
  many
• 18:32
  times
• 18:32
  the
• 18:32
  custom
• 18:33
  cabinet
• 18:33
  makers
• 18:34
  don't
• 18:35
  have
• 18:35
  a
• 18:35
  finish
• 18:36
  that
• 18:37
  is
• 18:37
  going
• 18:37
  to
• 18:37
  hold
• 18:37
  up.
• 18:38
  And
• 18:38
  that
• 18:38
  is
• 18:38
  one
• 18:39
  of
• 18:39
  the
• 18:39
  biggest
• 18:40
  weaknesses
• 18:41
  or
• 18:41
  the
• 18:42
  Achilles
• 18:42
  heel
• 18:43
  of
• 18:44
  any
• 18:44
  kitchen
• 18:45
  is
• 18:45
  that
• 18:45
  finish.
• 18:46
  And
• 18:47
  my
• 18:47
  rule
• 18:47
  is
• 18:47
  if
• 18:47
  you
• 18:48
  can
• 18:48
  walk
• 18:48
  into
• 18:48
  a
• 18:48
  paint
• 18:49
  store
• 18:50
  like
• 18:50
  your
• 18:50
  home
• 18:51
  center
• 18:51
  or
• 18:52
  even
• 18:52
  a
• 18:52
  Sherwin
• 18:52
  Williams
• 18:53
  and
• 18:54
  buy
• 18:54
  that
• 18:54
  cabinet
• 18:54
  finish
• 18:55
  off
• 18:55
  the
• 18:55
  shelf,
• 18:56
  you
• 18:56
  probably
• 18:57
  have
• 18:58
  the
• 18:58
  wrong
• 18:58
  cabinet
• 18:59
  finish.
• 19:00
  And
• 19:00
  if
• 19:00
  they're
• 19:01
  finishing
• 19:01
  on
• 19:01
  site,
• 19:02
  you're
• 19:03
  gonna
• 19:03
  have
• 19:03
  problems.
• 19:04
  Now
• 19:05
  there
• 19:05
  are
• 19:05
  places
• 19:05
  in
• 19:06
  the
• 19:06
  country
• 19:07
  where
• 19:08
  painted
• 19:08
  white
• 19:08
  cabinetry
• 19:09
  is
• 19:09
  sent
• 19:09
  out
• 19:09
  raw
• 19:10
  and
• 19:10
  they
• 19:11
  install
• 19:11
  it
• 19:11
  and
• 19:11
  they
• 19:11
  paint
• 19:11
  it
• 19:12
  there.
• 19:12
  It
• 19:13
  is
• 19:13
  going
• 19:13
  to
• 19:13
  be
• 19:13
  a
• 19:14
  lower
• 19:14
  quality
• 19:14
  finish
• 19:15
  than
• 19:15
  what
• 19:16
  most
• 19:16
  cabinet
• 19:17
  places
• 19:17
  will
• 19:17
  do.
• 19:18
  So
• 19:19
  think
• 19:19
  about
• 19:19
  that
• 19:20
  because
• 19:21
  you
• 19:21
  want
• 19:21
  that
• 19:21
  baked
• 19:22
  on
• 19:23
  conversion
• 19:24
  varnish
• 19:24
  or
• 19:25
  two
• 19:26
  part
• 19:26
  urethane
• 19:27
  finish.
• 19:28
  Water
• 19:28
  based
• 19:28
  finishes
• 19:29
  are
• 19:29
  so
• 19:29
  much
• 19:29
  better.
• 19:30
  Now
• 19:31
  you
• 19:31
  want
• 19:31
  that
• 19:31
  finished
• 19:33
  in
• 19:33
  a
• 19:33
  very
• 19:33
  clean
• 19:34
  room.
• 19:35
  And
• 19:35
  here's
• 19:35
  the
• 19:36
  difference.
• 19:36
  It's
• 19:36
  do
• 19:36
  you
• 19:37
  buy
• 19:37
  your
• 19:37
  Mercedes
• 19:38
  off
• 19:38
  the
• 19:38
  lot
• 19:40
  from
• 19:40
  the
• 19:40
  dealer
• 19:41
  and
• 19:41
  bring
• 19:42
  it
• 19:42
  home
• 19:42
  and
• 19:42
  have
• 19:42
  somebody
• 19:42
  paint
• 19:43
  it
• 19:43
  in
• 19:43
  your
• 19:43
  garage?
• 19:44
  You
• 19:44
  know
• 19:45
  what
• 19:45
  that's
• 19:45
  going
• 19:45
  to
• 19:45
  look
• 19:45
  like?
• 19:46
  It'll
• 19:46
  look
• 19:47
  horrible.
• 19:48
  Same
• 19:48
  thing
• 19:49
  comes
• 19:49
  with
• 19:49
  your
• 19:49
  cabinetry.
• 19:50
  I
• 19:51
  want
• 19:51
  a
• 19:51
  factory
• 19:51
  finish
• 19:52
  where
• 19:52
  they
• 19:52
  put
• 19:52
  it
• 19:52
  through
• 19:53
  on
• 19:53
  a
• 19:53
  flatline
• 19:53
  finishing
• 19:54
  system.
• 19:55
  It's
• 19:55
  been
• 19:55
  sprayed,
• 19:56
  it's
• 19:57
  been
• 19:57
  sanded,
• 19:57
  it's
• 19:57
  been
• 19:58
  sprayed
• 19:58
  again.
• 19:58
  There's
• 19:58
  a
• 19:59
  clear
• 19:59
  coat
• 19:59
  on
• 19:59
  top.
• 19:59
  Whatever
• 20:00
  they
• 20:00
  do
• 20:00
  is
• 20:00
  their
• 20:00
  finish
• 20:01
  process
• 20:02
  in
• 20:02
  a
• 20:02
  very
• 20:03
  clean
• 20:03
  area.
• 20:04
  Now
• 20:04
  here's
• 20:04
  the
• 20:05
  problem.
• 20:05
  Sometimes
• 20:05
  you
• 20:06
  can
• 20:06
  spend
• 20:06
  half
• 20:06
  a
• 20:06
  million
• 20:07
  dollars
• 20:07
  or
• 20:07
  a
• 20:07
  million
• 20:07
  dollars
• 20:08
  on
• 20:08
  that
• 20:09
  finish
• 20:09
  system
• 20:10
  and
• 20:10
  that's
• 20:10
  okay.
• 20:11
  But
• 20:11
  you
• 20:12
  want
• 20:12
  that
• 20:12
  technology
• 20:13
  in
• 20:13
  your
• 20:13
  cabinets
• 20:14
  because
• 20:14
  I
• 20:14
  tell
• 20:15
  you
• 20:15
  what,
• 20:15
  someone
• 20:16
  who's
• 20:16
  ever
• 20:16
  had
• 20:16
  a
• 20:16
  flipped
• 20:17
  house
• 20:17
  where
• 20:17
  they
• 20:17
  went
• 20:18
  through
• 20:18
  and
• 20:18
  painted
• 20:18
  the
• 20:18
  cabinets
• 20:19
  with
• 20:19
  latex
• 20:19
  paint,
• 20:20
  way
• 20:21
  too
• 20:21
  soft.
• 20:21
  When
• 20:21
  they
• 20:22
  take
• 20:22
  the
• 20:22
  wall
• 20:22
  paint,
• 20:22
  put
• 20:22
  it
• 20:23
  on
• 20:23
  the
• 20:23
  cabinets,
• 20:24
  it's
• 20:24
  gummy,
• 20:24
  looks
• 20:25
  nasty,
• 20:26
  not
• 20:26
  a
• 20:26
  good
• 20:26
  thing.
• 20:27
  So
• 20:28
  make
• 20:28
  sure
• 20:28
  that
• 20:29
  they're
• 20:29
  using
• 20:29
  a
• 20:30
  good
• 20:30
  finish.
• 20:31
  And
• 20:32
  when
• 20:32
  we
• 20:32
  come
• 20:32
  back,
• 20:32
  I
• 20:32
  want
• 20:33
  to
• 20:33
  talk
• 20:33
  about
• 20:34
  some
• 20:34
  of
• 20:34
  the
• 20:35
  things
• 20:35
  that
• 20:35
  you're
• 20:35
  going
• 20:35
  to
• 20:35
  run
• 20:35
  into
• 20:36
  with
• 20:37
  a
• 20:37
  design
• 20:37
  that
• 20:37
  I
• 20:38
  want

• 23:49
  There

  are

  here's

• 24:19
  There

• 24:28
  First
• 24:28
  off,
• 24:28
  you
• 24:29
  want
• 24:29
  to
• 24:29
  see
• 24:29
  very
• 24:30
  detailed

• 24:32
  what
• 24:32
  to
• 24:32

• 24:33
  you
• 24:33
  need
• 24:34
  to

  those

  Drawings
• 24:38
  need
• 24:38
  to
• 24:38
  have
• 24:38
  the

• 24:40
  the

• 24:45
  And
• 24:45
  never
• 24:46
  ever
• 24:47
  let
• 24:47
  a
• 24:47
  cabinet

• 24:48

• 24:50
  it
• 24:50
  later
• 24:50

• 24:52
  Never
• 24:52
  do
• 24:53
  that.
• 24:53
  That

• 24:57
  That

  should
• 24:58
  all
• 24:58
  be
• 24:58
  done
• 24:58
  there.
• 24:59
  Never
• 25:00
  let

• 25:00
  bring
• 25:01
  a
• 25:01
  stain
• 25:01

  and
• 25:02
  do
• 25:02
  that
• 25:02
  at
• 25:02
  the
• 25:02
  job
• 25:03
  site.
• 25:03
  Horrible
• 25:04
  idea.
• 25:05
  That
• 25:05
  would
• 25:05
  be
• 25:05
  an
• 25:06
  instant

  does
• 25:10
  that.
• 25:11
  Those
• 25:11
  cabinets
• 25:12
  should
• 25:12
  be
• 25:12
  made,
• 25:13
  they
• 25:13
  should
• 25:13
  be
• 25:13
  sealed

• 25:14
  They
• 25:14
  should

• 25:15
  before
• 25:16
  they

• 25:18
  There
• 25:19
  are
• 25:19
  way
• 25:19
  too
• 25:19
  many
• 25:19
  issues
• 25:20
  that
• 25:20
  can

  come

  that
• 25:24

• 25:25
  That's

  an

• 25:26

• 25:26
  for

  me,
• 25:27
  in

• 25:28
  So

  I

• 25:33
  What's

  the
• 25:33

• 25:34
  what's
• 25:34
  the

• 25:35
  Soft
• 25:36

• 25:36
  not

  soft
• 25:36
  close.
• 25:38
  All
• 25:38
  those
• 25:38
  specs
• 25:38
  need
• 25:39
  to

• 25:42
  Now,

  I

  to

  a
• 25:47
  sample.
• 25:48
  I
• 25:49
  want
• 25:49
  to
• 25:49
  see
• 25:49
  that
• 25:50
  with
• 25:50
  the
• 25:50
  right
• 25:50
  finish
• 25:51
  and
• 25:51
  the
• 25:51
  right
• 25:51
  wood
• 25:52
  species
• 25:52
  that
• 25:52
  you
• 25:53
  initial
• 25:54
  to
• 25:54
  approve
• 25:54
  it.
• 25:55
  So
• 25:55
  you
• 25:56
  know
• 25:56
  what
• 25:56
  that
• 25:56
  is.
• 25:57
  And
• 25:57
  yes,
• 25:58
  you
• 25:58
  might
• 25:58
  have
• 25:58
  to
• 25:58
  pay
• 25:58
  to
• 25:58
  order
• 25:59
  that.
• 26:00
  Order
• 26:00
  it
• 26:00
  before
• 26:01
  your
• 26:01
  cabinets
• 26:02
  might
• 26:02
  take
• 26:02
  a
• 26:03
  month
• 26:03
  to
• 26:03
  get.
• 26:03
  It
• 26:03
  might
• 26:04
  take
• 26:04
  five
• 26:04
  or
• 26:04
  six
• 26:04
  weeks
• 26:05
  to
• 26:05
  get.
• 26:05
  It
• 26:06
  doesn't
• 26:06
  matter.
• 26:07
  You
• 26:07
  want
• 26:08
  that
• 26:08
  so
• 26:08
  you
• 26:08
  know
• 26:09
  what
• 26:09
  that
• 26:09
  looks
• 26:09
  like.
• 26:10
  That
• 26:11
  way
• 26:11
  you
• 26:11
  don't
• 26:11
  have
• 26:11
  finish
• 26:12
  problems
• 26:12
  are
• 26:13
  the.
• 26:14
  Just
• 26:14
  the.
• 26:15
  The
• 26:15
  cabinet
• 26:16
  destroyer
• 26:18
  and
• 26:18
  the
• 26:18
  budget
• 26:18
  destroyer
• 26:19
  and
• 26:19
  the
• 26:19
  schedule
• 26:20
  destroyer.
• 26:21
  If
• 26:21
  a
• 26:21
  cabinet
• 26:22
  shows
• 26:22
  up
• 26:23
  the
• 26:23
  wrong
• 26:23
  finish,
• 26:24
  even
• 26:25
  if
• 26:25
  you
• 26:25
  were
• 26:25
  right
• 26:25
  as
• 26:26
  the
• 26:26
  homeowner
• 26:26
  and
• 26:26
  they
• 26:27
  made
• 26:27
  a
• 26:27
  mistake,
• 26:28
  that
• 26:28
  is
• 26:30
  going
• 26:30
  to
• 26:30
  put
• 26:30
  that
• 26:31
  project
• 26:31
  sideways
• 26:32
  for
• 26:33
  a
• 26:33
  month,
• 26:33
  two
• 26:34
  months,
• 26:35
  two
• 26:35
  and
• 26:35
  a
• 26:35
  half
• 26:35
  months.
• 26:36
  And
• 26:37
  you
• 26:37
  are
• 26:37
  going
• 26:37
  to
• 26:37
  be
• 26:37
  without
• 26:37
  a
• 26:38
  kitchen
• 26:38
  for
• 26:38
  a
• 26:38
  long
• 26:39
  time.
• 26:40
  So
• 26:40
  you
• 26:40
  want
• 26:40
  to
• 26:40
  prevent
• 26:41
  that.
• 26:42
  So
• 26:42
  I
• 26:42
  want
• 26:42
  to
• 26:42
  see
• 26:43
  that
• 26:44
  sample
• 26:44
  color.
• 26:44
  I
• 26:45
  want
• 26:45
  to
• 26:45
  see
• 26:45
  the
• 26:45
  door
• 26:46
  style.
• 26:46
  I
• 26:46
  want
• 26:46
  to
• 26:47
  see
• 26:47
  those
• 26:47
  initialed
• 26:48
  by
• 26:48
  you,
• 26:49
  handed
• 26:49
  to
• 26:49
  the
• 26:50
  designer
• 26:51
  so
• 26:51
  the
• 26:51
  designer
• 26:51
  can
• 26:52
  make
• 26:52
  sure
• 26:52
  that
• 26:52
  gets
• 26:52
  to
• 26:52
  the
• 26:53
  cabinet
• 26:53
  maker.
• 26:54
  That's
• 26:54
  how
• 26:54
  that
• 26:55
  should
• 26:55
  work.
• 26:55
  And
• 26:56
  always
• 26:56
  order
• 26:56
  that
• 26:56
  door
• 26:57
  style
• 26:57
  to
• 26:57
  make
• 26:57
  sure
• 26:57
  you've
• 26:58
  got
• 26:58
  it.
• 26:59
  Sometimes
• 26:59
  you'll
• 26:59
  see
• 26:59
  it
• 26:59
  and
• 26:59
  go,
• 27:00
  wow.
• 27:00
  I
• 27:00
  don't
• 27:00
  like
• 27:00
  the
• 27:00
  way
• 27:00
  the
• 27:01
  panel
• 27:01
  fits
• 27:01
  here
• 27:02
  between
• 27:03
  the
• 27:03
  panel
• 27:03
  or
• 27:03
  the
• 27:03
  veneer
• 27:04
  in
• 27:04
  the
• 27:04
  panel
• 27:04
  looks
• 27:04
  different
• 27:05
  than
• 27:05
  the
• 27:05
  frame
• 27:06
  where
• 27:06
  your
• 27:06
  styles
• 27:07
  and
• 27:07
  rails
• 27:07
  are
• 27:07
  on
• 27:07
  the
• 27:08
  other
• 27:08
  side,
• 27:08
  like
• 27:08
  on
• 27:08
  a
• 27:08
  shaker
• 27:09
  door.
• 27:09
  That
• 27:09
  happens.
• 27:10
  Or
• 27:11
  if
• 27:11
  you've
• 27:11
  got
• 27:12
  detail
• 27:12
  in
• 27:12
  the
• 27:12
  frame,
• 27:13
  sometimes
• 27:13
  their
• 27:13
  spray
• 27:14
  finisher
• 27:14
  doesn't
• 27:15
  do
• 27:15
  a
• 27:15
  good
• 27:15
  job
• 27:15
  of
• 27:15
  getting
• 27:15
  it
• 27:16
  in
• 27:16
  there.
• 27:16
  Getting
• 27:17
  that
• 27:18
  and
• 27:18
  it'll
• 27:18
  be
• 27:18
  a
• 27:19
  little
• 27:19
  cloudy
• 27:19
  or
• 27:19
  to
• 27:20
  look
• 27:20
  a
• 27:20
  little
• 27:20
  mottled
• 27:21
  in
• 27:21
  those
• 27:21
  corners
• 27:21
  where
• 27:22
  it's
• 27:22
  tight.
• 27:23
  You
• 27:23
  want
• 27:23
  to
• 27:23
  see
• 27:23
  that
• 27:24
  before
• 27:24
  it
• 27:25
  shows
• 27:25
  up
• 27:25
  in
• 27:25
  your
• 27:25
  kitchen.
• 27:26
  And
• 27:26
  yes,
• 27:27
  here's
• 27:27
  the
• 27:27
  other
• 27:28
  thing,
• 27:29
  and
• 27:29
  you
• 27:29
  need
• 27:29
  to
• 27:29
  know
• 27:29
  this.
• 27:30
  When
• 27:31
  it
• 27:31
  comes
• 27:31
  to
• 27:31
  wood
• 27:31
  species
• 27:33
  that
• 27:33
  change
• 27:33
  color,
• 27:34
  like
• 27:35
  walnuts,
• 27:35
  like
• 27:36
  American
• 27:37
  cherry,
• 27:38
  you'll
• 27:38
  be
• 27:38
  surprised
• 27:39
  at
• 27:39
  how
• 27:39
  much
• 27:39
  that
• 27:39
  changes
• 27:40
  in
• 27:41
  a
• 27:41
  short
• 27:41
  amount
• 27:41
  of
• 27:41
  time.
• 27:42
  If
• 27:42
  you
• 27:42
  have
• 27:42
  ultraviolet
• 27:43
  light
• 27:44
  coming
• 27:44
  into
• 27:44
  your
• 27:44
  kitchen.
• 27:45
  So
• 27:46
  if
• 27:46
  you've
• 27:46
  got
• 27:46
  a
• 27:46
  pool
• 27:46
  out
• 27:47
  back
• 27:47
  and
• 27:48
  you
• 27:48
  get
• 27:48
  a
• 27:48
  nice
• 27:49
  reflection
• 27:49
  in
• 27:49
  the
• 27:49
  morning
• 27:50
  or
• 27:50
  the
• 27:50
  evening
• 27:50
  of
• 27:50
  the
• 27:51
  light
• 27:51
  coming
• 27:51
  into
• 27:51
  that
• 27:52
  window,
• 27:53
  make
• 27:53
  sure
• 27:53
  that
• 27:54
  window
• 27:54
  has
• 27:54
  low
• 27:55
  E
• 27:55
  and
• 27:55
  all
• 27:56
  the
• 27:56
  good
• 27:57
  reflective
• 27:57
  UV
• 27:58
  coatings
• 27:58
  on
• 27:58
  it,
• 27:59
  because
• 27:59
  you
• 28:00
  can
• 28:01
  absolutely
• 28:02
  cook
• 28:03
  a
• 28:03
  cabinet
• 28:04
  with
• 28:04
  the
• 28:04
  wrong
• 28:05
  light.
• 28:06
  I
• 28:06
  was
• 28:06
  in
• 28:06
  an
• 28:07
  old
• 28:07
  showroom
• 28:07
  here
• 28:08
  in
• 28:08
  the
• 28:08
  Portland
• 28:08
  metro
• 28:09
  area.
• 28:09
  Won't
• 28:10
  use
• 28:10
  their
• 28:10
  name.
• 28:11
  They
• 28:11
  had
• 28:11
  a
• 28:11
  display
• 28:12
  that
• 28:12
  was
• 28:12
  so
• 28:12
  old
• 28:13
  in
• 28:13
  their
• 28:13
  showroom
• 28:14
  that
• 28:14
  American
• 28:15
  cherry
• 28:15
  had
• 28:16
  gone
• 28:16
  to
• 28:16
  a
• 28:17
  bleached
• 28:18
  called
• 28:18
  a
• 28:19
  beech
• 28:19
  wood.
• 28:19
  Looks
• 28:19
  like
• 28:19
  something
• 28:20
  that
• 28:20
  washed
• 28:20
  up
• 28:20
  on
• 28:20
  the
• 28:20
  beach.
• 28:21
  It
• 28:22
  was
• 28:22
  this
• 28:22
  white
• 28:22
  gray.
• 28:23
  Open
• 28:24
  the
• 28:24
  door,
• 28:24
  and
• 28:24
  it
• 28:24
  was
• 28:24
  a
• 28:24
  dark
• 28:24
  cherry.
• 28:26
  That
• 28:26
  happens
• 28:26
  with
• 28:26
  uv
• 28:27
  with
• 28:27
  woods.
• 28:28
  It
• 28:28
  will
• 28:28
  look
• 28:28
  like
• 28:29
  it
• 28:29
  just
• 28:29
  came
• 28:29
  off
• 28:29
  the
• 28:30
  beach.
• 28:31
  So
• 28:31
  you
• 28:31
  want
• 28:31
  to
• 28:31
  make
• 28:32
  sure
• 28:32
  you
• 28:32
  control
• 28:32
  your
• 28:32
  uv.
• 28:33
  And
• 28:34
  I've
• 28:34
  had
• 28:34
  many
• 28:34
  a
• 28:35
  customer
• 28:35
  with
• 28:36
  plenty
• 28:36
  of
• 28:36
  UV
• 28:36
  going
• 28:37
  into
• 28:37
  their
• 28:37
  kitchen.
• 28:38
  Painter
• 28:38
  comes
• 28:39
  through
• 28:39
  there
• 28:39
  after
• 28:39
  the
• 28:39
  project.
• 28:40
  They've
• 28:40
  taped
• 28:40
  up
• 28:41
  plastic
• 28:41
  to
• 28:41
  protect
• 28:41
  those
• 28:41
  beautiful
• 28:42
  cabinets.
• 28:42
  As
• 28:42
  they
• 28:43
  touch
• 28:43
  up
• 28:43
  that
• 28:43
  paint
• 28:44
  or
• 28:44
  maybe
• 28:45
  put
• 28:45
  a
• 28:45
  final
• 28:45
  coat
• 28:45
  on.
• 28:46
  If
• 28:46
  the
• 28:46
  plastics
• 28:47
  on
• 28:47
  there
• 28:47
  for
• 28:47
  two
• 28:47
  or
• 28:48
  three
• 28:48
  days,
• 28:48
  they
• 28:48
  will
• 28:48
  see
• 28:49
  little
• 28:49
  shadow
• 28:50
  marks
• 28:50
  where
• 28:50
  the
• 28:51
  tape
• 28:51
  was.
• 28:52
  Now,
• 28:52
  that
• 28:52
  UV
• 28:53
  will
• 28:53
  have
• 28:53
  to
• 28:53
  come
• 28:53
  in
• 28:53
  and
• 28:53
  just
• 28:54
  catch
• 28:54
  things
• 28:54
  up.
• 28:54
  It's
• 28:54
  not
• 28:55
  that
• 28:55
  big
• 28:55
  a
• 28:55
  deal,
• 28:56
  but
• 28:56
  those
• 28:56
  are
• 28:57
  things
• 28:57
  to
• 28:57
  be
• 28:57
  careful
• 28:57
  with.
• 28:58
  Now,
• 28:58
  there's
• 28:58
  a
• 28:58
  wood
• 28:59
  that
• 28:59
  used
• 28:59
  to
• 28:59
  be
• 28:59
  out
• 28:59
  there.
• 29:00
  Some
• 29:00
  woods
• 29:00
  will
• 29:00
  do
• 29:01
  this
• 29:01
  as
• 29:01
  well.
• 29:02
  There
• 29:02
  is
• 29:02
  a
• 29:03
  eucalyptus
• 29:04
  hybrid
• 29:05
  out
• 29:06
  there
• 29:06
  that
• 29:06
  Georgia
• 29:07
  Pacific
• 29:07
  used
• 29:07
  to
• 29:07
  make,
• 29:08
  and
• 29:09
  it
• 29:09
  was
• 29:09
  called
• 29:09
  Liptus.
• 29:11
  Now,
• 29:11
  the
• 29:11
  problem
• 29:11
  with
• 29:12
  that
• 29:12
  wood,
• 29:13
  it
• 29:13
  was
• 29:13
  good.
• 29:13
  It
• 29:13
  was
• 29:14
  a
• 29:14
  green
• 29:14
  wood
• 29:14
  species
• 29:15
  to
• 29:15
  use,
• 29:15
  because
• 29:15
  when
• 29:15
  you've
• 29:16
  harvested
• 29:16
  and
• 29:16
  cut
• 29:17
  the
• 29:17
  tree
• 29:17
  down,
• 29:17
  a
• 29:18
  new
• 29:18
  tree
• 29:18
  grow,
• 29:18
  grew
• 29:19
  up
• 29:19
  like
• 29:19
  a
• 29:19
  weed
• 29:19
  out
• 29:19
  of
• 29:20
  that
• 29:20
  trunk
• 29:20
  and
• 29:20
  just
• 29:20
  kept
• 29:21
  going.
• 29:22
  So
• 29:22
  the
• 29:22
  regrowth
• 29:23
  was
• 29:23
  fast.
• 29:24
  Being
• 29:24
  a
• 29:24
  hybrid.
• 29:25
  Now,
• 29:25
  it
• 29:25
  looked
• 29:26
  like
• 29:26
  a
• 29:26
  kind
• 29:26
  of
• 29:26
  a
• 29:26
  mahogany
• 29:27
  eucalyptus,
• 29:28
  which
• 29:28
  was
• 29:28
  beautiful.
• 29:29
  But
• 29:29
  when
• 29:30
  you
• 29:30
  did
• 29:30
  a
• 29:30
  medium
• 29:31
  stain
• 29:31
  on
• 29:31
  that,
• 29:32
  the
• 29:33
  rails,
• 29:33
  which
• 29:33
  are
• 29:34
  the
• 29:34
  ones
• 29:34
  are
• 29:34
  like
• 29:34
  a
• 29:34
  train
• 29:35
  rail,
• 29:36
  the
• 29:36
  styles
• 29:36
  and
• 29:37
  rails
• 29:37
  on
• 29:37
  that
• 29:37
  were
• 29:38
  different
• 29:38
  colors
• 29:38
  because
• 29:39
  they
• 29:39
  refracted
• 29:40
  light.
• 29:41
  So
• 29:41
  if
• 29:41
  I
• 29:41
  held
• 29:41
  that
• 29:42
  door
• 29:42
  up
• 29:42
  to
• 29:42
  you
• 29:42
  and
• 29:43
  you
• 29:43
  went,
• 29:44
  put
• 29:44
  a
• 29:44
  blue
• 29:44
  piece
• 29:45
  of
• 29:45
  tape
• 29:45
  on
• 29:45
  the
• 29:45
  darker
• 29:46
  pieces,
• 29:46
  and
• 29:47
  I
• 29:47
  flipped
• 29:47
  that
• 29:48
  door
• 29:48
  on
• 29:49
  its
• 29:49
  side,
• 29:50
  the
• 29:50
  darker
• 29:50
  Pieces
• 29:51
  would
• 29:51
  change
• 29:51
  to
• 29:51
  the
• 29:51
  bottom.
• 29:52
  It
• 29:52
  was
• 29:52
  like
• 29:52
  a
• 29:52
  magic
• 29:53
  trick,
• 29:53
  just
• 29:54
  the
• 29:54
  way
• 29:54
  light
• 29:54
  hit
• 29:54
  it.
• 29:55
  So
• 29:56
  these
• 29:56
  are
• 29:56
  things
• 29:56
  that
• 29:57
  having
• 29:57
  that
• 29:57
  door
• 29:57
  sample
• 29:58
  will
• 29:58
  keep
• 29:58
  you
• 29:58
  from
• 29:59
  finding
• 29:59
  those
• 29:59
  things
• 29:59
  out.
• 30:00
  Because
• 30:01
  there
• 30:01
  was
• 30:01
  a
• 30:01
  lot
• 30:01
  of
• 30:01
  people
• 30:02
  that
• 30:02
  are
• 30:02
  upset
• 30:02
  with
• 30:02
  that.
• 30:04
  And
• 30:04
  it
• 30:04
  was
• 30:04
  something
• 30:04
  that
• 30:05
  the
• 30:05
  wood
• 30:05
  did
• 30:06
  in
• 30:06
  full
• 30:06
  light.
• 30:06
  Their
• 30:07
  sales
• 30:07
  center.
• 30:07
  On
• 30:08
  this
• 30:08
  condo
• 30:08
  project
• 30:08
  I
• 30:09
  was
• 30:09
  doing,
• 30:10
  you
• 30:10
  didn't
• 30:10
  see
• 30:10
  it
• 30:10
  there
• 30:11
  because
• 30:11
  there
• 30:11
  wasn't
• 30:11
  a
• 30:11
  lot
• 30:11
  of
• 30:11
  natural
• 30:12
  light.
• 30:13
  Go
• 30:13
  up
• 30:13
  into
• 30:13
  a
• 30:13
  condo
• 30:14
  where
• 30:14
  there's
• 30:14
  full
• 30:14
  glass
• 30:15
  on
• 30:15
  the
• 30:15
  walls
• 30:15
  to
• 30:15
  ceiling
• 30:16
  in
• 30:16
  there.
• 30:16
  Different
• 30:17
  story,
• 30:17
  way
• 30:17
  different
• 30:18
  light.
• 30:19
  So
• 30:19
  there
• 30:19
  were
• 30:20
  some
• 30:20
  battles
• 30:20
  there
• 30:20
  of
• 30:20
  that
• 30:21
  looking
• 30:21
  a
• 30:21
  little
• 30:21
  bit
• 30:21
  darker.
• 30:22
  And
• 30:22
  there
• 30:22
  was
• 30:22
  nothing
• 30:22
  you
• 30:23
  could
• 30:23
  do.
• 30:24
  I
• 30:24
  could
• 30:24
  have
• 30:24
  built
• 30:24
  a
• 30:24
  hundred
• 30:25
  doors
• 30:25
  and
• 30:25
  that
• 30:25
  same
• 30:25
  wood
• 30:26
  species
• 30:26
  did
• 30:26
  it
• 30:26
  that
• 30:27
  way.
• 30:27
  So
• 30:28
  something
• 30:28
  you
• 30:28
  have
• 30:28
  to
• 30:28
  be
• 30:28
  really
• 30:29
  careful
• 30:29
  with
• 30:30
  on
• 30:30
  that.
• 30:31
  So
• 30:31
  getting
• 30:32
  those
• 30:32
  samples,
• 30:32
  understanding
• 30:33
  what
• 30:33
  that
• 30:33
  process
• 30:34
  is,
• 30:34
  and
• 30:35
  then
• 30:35
  of
• 30:35
  course,
• 30:35
  making
• 30:36
  sure
• 30:36
  that
• 30:36
  you
• 30:36
  got
• 30:36
  the
• 30:37
  cabinets
• 30:37
  ordered
• 30:37
  and
• 30:37
  coming.
• 30:38
  Strange
• 30:39
  things
• 30:39
  sometimes
• 30:40
  happen.
• 30:41
  And
• 30:41
  the
• 30:41
  farther
• 30:42
  you
• 30:42
  are
• 30:42
  away
• 30:43
  from
• 30:44
  that
• 30:44
  cabinet
• 30:44
  manufacturer,
• 30:46
  the
• 30:46
  more
• 30:46
  chance
• 30:46
  you
• 30:47
  have
• 30:47
  of
• 30:47
  damage.
• 30:48
  Like,
• 30:48
  I
• 30:49
  was
• 30:49
  buying
• 30:49
  cabinets
• 30:50
  from
• 30:51
  back
• 30:51
  in
• 30:51
  the
• 30:51
  day
• 30:52
  from
• 30:52
  Wellborn
• 30:53
  here
• 30:53
  in
• 30:53
  Portland
• 30:54
  when
• 30:54
  I
• 30:54
  was
• 30:54
  living
• 30:54
  in
• 30:55
  Seattle,
• 30:55
  good
• 30:56
  company,
• 30:57
  but
• 30:57
  their
• 30:57
  trucks
• 30:58
  came
• 30:59
  out
• 30:59
  of,
• 30:59
  you
• 31:00
  know,
• 31:00
  Alabama.
• 31:01
  So
• 31:02
  those
• 31:02
  cabinets
• 31:02
  got
• 31:03
  beat
• 31:03
  up
• 31:03
  on
• 31:03
  the
• 31:03
  freeway
• 31:04
  all
• 31:04
  the
• 31:04
  way
• 31:04
  out
• 31:05
  here.
• 31:06
  And
• 31:07
  I
• 31:07
  had
• 31:07
  a
• 31:07
  much
• 31:08
  more
• 31:08
  likely
• 31:09
  damage
• 31:10
  just
• 31:10
  due
• 31:10
  to
• 31:10
  hours
• 31:11
  on
• 31:11
  the
• 31:11
  road
• 31:12
  compared
• 31:13
  to
• 31:13
  a
• 31:13
  local
• 31:13
  company
• 31:14
  that
• 31:14
  was
• 31:14
  large.
• 31:14
  It
• 31:15
  was
• 31:15
  coming
• 31:15
  out
• 31:15
  of
• 31:15
  Seattle.
• 31:17
  So
• 31:17
  that's
• 31:17
  why
• 31:17
  you
• 31:17
  see
• 31:18
  a
• 31:18
  lot
• 31:18
  of
• 31:18
  these
• 31:18
  manufacturers
• 31:19
  changing
• 31:19
  to
• 31:19
  having
• 31:20
  the
• 31:20
  bigger
• 31:21
  ones.
• 31:21
  Hey,
• 31:21
  we're
• 31:22
  putting
• 31:22
  in
• 31:22
  a
• 31:22
  new
• 31:22
  factory
• 31:22
  down
• 31:23
  in
• 31:23
  Las
• 31:23
  Vegas
• 31:25
  because
• 31:25
  they're
• 31:25
  trying
• 31:25
  to
• 31:25
  reduce
• 31:26
  that
• 31:26
  number
• 31:27
  and
• 31:27
  make
• 31:28
  it
• 31:28
  so
• 31:28
  that
• 31:28
  your
• 31:29
  cabinets
• 31:29
  show
• 31:29
  up
• 31:30
  on
• 31:30
  time.
• 31:30
  I've
• 31:31
  had
• 31:31
  cabinets
• 31:32
  get
• 31:32
  lost.
• 31:32
  I've
• 31:33
  had
• 31:33
  cabinets
• 31:33
  get
• 31:34
  damaged
• 31:35
  when
• 31:35
  there
• 31:35
  was
• 31:35
  a
• 31:35
  truck
• 31:36
  flip
• 31:36
  over
• 31:36
  on
• 31:36
  its
• 31:36
  side
• 31:37
  and
• 31:37
  the
• 31:37
  cabinets
• 31:37
  got
• 31:37
  destroyed.
• 31:39
  I've
• 31:39
  had
• 31:39
  that
• 31:39
  happen
• 31:40
  a
• 31:40
  couple
• 31:40
  times.
• 31:41
  Things
• 31:41
  like
• 31:42
  that
• 31:42
  happen.
• 31:42
  And
• 31:43
  so
• 31:43
  that's
• 31:43
  why
• 31:44
  you
• 31:45
  never
• 31:45
  want
• 31:45
  to
• 31:45
  start
• 31:45
  that
• 31:45
  remodel
• 31:46
  project
• 31:46
  until
• 31:47
  the
• 31:47
  cabinetry
• 31:47
  is
• 31:48
  on
• 31:48
  site.
• 31:49
  That's
• 31:50
  a
• 31:50
  big
• 31:50
  one.
• 31:51
  That
• 31:51
  is
• 31:51
  a
• 31:51
  really
• 31:52
  big
• 31:52
  rule.
• 31:53
  So
• 31:53
  don't
• 31:53
  get
• 31:53
  in
• 31:53
  a
• 31:53
  hurry.
• 31:54
  And
• 31:54
  especially
• 31:54
  these
• 31:55
  days
• 31:55
  with
• 31:55
  tariffs
• 31:55
  and
• 31:56
  all
• 31:56
  the
• 31:56
  other
• 31:56
  stuff,
• 31:57
  make
• 31:57
  sure
• 31:58
  that
• 31:59
  you've
• 31:59
  got
• 31:59
  all
• 31:59
  the
• 31:59
  materials
• 32:00
  on
• 32:00
  hand
• 32:00
  before
• 32:00
  you
• 32:01
  start
• 32:01
  that
• 32:01
  kitchen
• 32:02
  and
• 32:02
  bath
• 32:03
  project.
• 32:04
  Now,
• 32:04
  when
• 32:04
  we
• 32:04
  come
• 32:04
  back
• 32:05
  here,
• 32:05
  I'm
• 32:05
  going
• 32:05
  to
• 32:05
  talk
• 32:05
  about
• 32:06
  some
• 32:06
  specific
• 32:07
  bathroom
• 32:07
  design
• 32:08
  tips.
• 32:09
  My
• 32:09
  must
• 32:10
  haves
• 32:10
  for
• 32:10
  the
• 32:10
  bathroom
• 32:11
  that
• 32:12
  are
• 32:12
  things
• 32:12
  that
• 32:12
  no
• 32:12
  matter
• 32:12
  if
• 32:12
  you're
• 32:13
  just
• 32:13
  doing
• 32:13
  a
• 32:13
  powder
• 32:13
  room,
• 32:14
  you're
• 32:15
  doing
• 32:15
  a
• 32:15
  huge
• 32:16
  master
• 32:16
  bathroom.
• 32:17
  Yes,
• 32:17
  I
• 32:18
  use
• 32:18
  the
• 32:18
  word
• 32:18
  master
• 32:19
  bathroom.
• 32:20
  It's
• 32:20
  not
• 32:20
  what
• 32:20
  you
• 32:20
  think
• 32:21
  it
• 32:21
  is.
• 32:22
  We'll
• 32:22
  talk
• 32:22
  about
• 32:23
  that
• 32:23
  in
• 32:23
  the
• 32:23
  next
• 32:23
  segment.
• 32:24
  So
• 32:24
  don't
• 32:25
  change
• 32:25
  that
• 32:25
  dial
• 32:25
  around
• 32:26
  the
• 32:26
  house.
• 32:26
  We
• 32:26
  write
• 32:26
  back
• 32:27
  after
• 32:27

• 35:52
  I

• 35:55

  if

  you've
• 35:56
  got
• 35:56
  people
• 35:57
  with
• 35:57
  a
• 35:57
  larger
• 35:57
  bathroom,
• 35:58
  maybe

• 36:03
  you're

  going
• 36:04
  to
• 36:04
  need
• 36:04
  that
• 36:04
  one
• 36:04
  circuit.
• 36:05
  You
• 36:05
  probably
• 36:05
  want
• 36:06
  to
• 36:06
  put
• 36:06
  another
• 36:06
  circuit
• 36:06
  in
• 36:07
  so
• 36:07
  you
• 36:07
  can
• 36:07
  put
• 36:07
  in
• 36:07
  a,
• 36:08
  I
• 36:08
  always
• 36:08
  put
• 36:08
  in

• 36:09

• 36:09

• 36:10

• 36:11
  So
• 36:12
  that

  way
• 36:12
  if
• 36:12
  you
• 36:12
  ever
• 36:12
  want
• 36:13
  to

• 36:15

• 36:19
  and
• 36:19
  have
• 36:19
  to
• 36:19
  have
• 36:19
  surgery,
• 36:20
  maybe
• 36:20
  it's
• 36:20
  a
• 36:20
  shoulder
• 36:21
  surgery,
• 36:21
  maybe
• 36:22
  you've
• 36:22
  got
• 36:23
  something
• 36:23
  going
• 36:23
  on.
• 36:24
  Having
• 36:24
  that
• 36:25
  option
• 36:25
  to
• 36:26
  plug
• 36:26
  in
• 36:26
  a
• 36:26
  bidet
• 36:27
  toilet
• 36:27
  seat,
• 36:27
  there
• 36:28
  can
• 36:28
  be
• 36:29
  a
• 36:29
  life
• 36:29
  changer
• 36:30
  for
• 36:30
  you.
• 36:31
  All
• 36:31
  you
• 36:31
  got
• 36:31
  to
• 36:31
  do
• 36:31
  is
• 36:32
  run
• 36:32
  down
• 36:32
  to
• 36:32
  Costco
• 36:32
  and
• 36:33
  get
• 36:33
  a
• 36:33
  toto
• 36:34
  right
• 36:34
  there
• 36:34
  and
• 36:34
  you're
• 36:35
  good
• 36:35
  to
• 36:35
  go.
• 36:36
  But
• 36:36
  think
• 36:37
  about
• 36:37
  that.
• 36:38
  Add
• 36:38
  that
• 36:39
  GFCI
• 36:39
  outlet
• 36:40
  or
• 36:40
  whatever
• 36:40
  is
• 36:40
  required
• 36:41
  for
• 36:41
  local
• 36:41
  code
• 36:41
  in
• 36:42
  your
• 36:42
  area.
• 36:42
  Right
• 36:42
  behind
• 36:42
  that
• 36:43
  is
• 36:43
  a
• 36:43
  must
• 36:43
  have
• 36:44
  for
• 36:45
  each
• 36:45
  and
• 36:45
  every
• 36:45
  bathroom.
• 36:46
  And
• 36:47
  it's
• 36:47
  an
• 36:47
  added
• 36:47
  value
• 36:48
  too
• 36:48
  to
• 36:48
  have
• 36:48
  that
• 36:49
  to
• 36:49
  be
• 36:49
  ready
• 36:49
  for
• 36:50
  that
• 36:50
  for
• 36:50
  the
• 36:50
  next
• 36:50
  people
• 36:51
  that
• 36:51
  buy
• 36:51
  the
• 36:51
  house.
• 36:52
  So
• 36:52
  make
• 36:52
  sure
• 36:53
  you're
• 36:53
  doing
• 36:53
  that.
• 36:54
  I
• 36:54
  would
• 36:54
  also
• 36:54
  think
• 36:56
  about
• 36:56
  if
• 36:57
  it's
• 36:57
  a
• 36:57
  bathroom
• 36:57
  that
• 36:58
  uses
• 36:58
  a
• 36:58
  lot
• 36:58
  of
• 36:58
  showers,
• 36:59
  like
• 36:59
  a
• 36:59
  master
• 37:00
  bathroom.
• 37:01
  Heated
• 37:01
  towel
• 37:02
  rack
• 37:02
  is
• 37:02
  a
• 37:02
  great
• 37:02
  way
• 37:02
  to
• 37:03
  save
• 37:04
  on
• 37:04
  doing
• 37:04
  laundry
• 37:05
  because
• 37:06
  that
• 37:06
  really
• 37:06
  helps.
• 37:07
  And
• 37:08
  I
• 37:08
  always
• 37:08
  put
• 37:08
  the
• 37:08
  ambo
• 37:09
  ones
• 37:09
  in
• 37:09
  my
• 37:09
  home,
• 37:10
  and
• 37:11
  they're
• 37:11
  just
• 37:11
  a
• 37:11
  great
• 37:12
  way
• 37:12
  to
• 37:12
  go
• 37:12
  with
• 37:13
  that.
• 37:14
  So
• 37:14
  think
• 37:14
  a
• 37:14
  little
• 37:14
  bit
• 37:15
  about
• 37:15
  that.
• 37:15
  That
• 37:15
  is
• 37:15
  a
• 37:16
  killer
• 37:16
  way
• 37:16
  to
• 37:16
  do
• 37:16
  this
• 37:17
  when
• 37:18
  it
• 37:18
  comes
• 37:18
  to
• 37:19
  really
• 37:20
  dialing
• 37:20
  in
• 37:21
  that
• 37:21
  bathroom.
• 37:22
  Now,
• 37:23
  I
• 37:23
  want
• 37:23
  to
• 37:23
  talk
• 37:23
  about
• 37:23
  my
• 37:24
  little
• 37:24
  pet
• 37:24
  peeve
• 37:24
  here
• 37:25
  before
• 37:25
  we
• 37:25
  get
• 37:25
  too
• 37:25
  far
• 37:26
  into
• 37:26
  this.
• 37:27
  I
• 37:27
  don't
• 37:27

• 37:27
  it
• 37:28

• 37:29
  Now,
• 37:30
  if
• 37:30
  you're

• 37:34
  that
• 37:35
  have
• 37:35

• 37:35
  that
• 37:35
  they
• 37:36
  can't
• 37:36
  call
• 37:36
  it
• 37:36
  a
• 37:36
  master
• 37:37

• 37:38
  for
• 37:38
  their
• 37:39
  dumb
• 37:39
  rules.
• 37:40
  Master
• 37:41

• 37:41
  was
• 37:42

• 37:42

• 37:42

• 37:43

• 37:45
  This

  is
• 37:46
  not
• 37:46
  a

• 37:48

• 37:50
  That's
• 37:50
  super
• 37:51
  dumb
• 37:52
  for
• 37:52
  people
• 37:52
  to
• 37:52
  say
• 37:53
  that.
• 37:54
  Really,
• 37:54
  a
• 37:54
  master
• 37:55
  bathroom
• 37:56
  is
• 37:56
  something
• 37:57
  you're
• 37:57
  going
• 37:57
  to
• 37:57
  get
• 37:57
  offended
• 37:57
  about.
• 37:58
  Let's
• 37:59
  get
• 37:59
  rid
• 37:59
  of
• 37:59
  master
• 38:00
  degrees
• 38:00
  then,
• 38:00
  because,
• 38:01
  oh,
• 38:01
  my
• 38:01
  gosh,
• 38:02
  can't
• 38:02
  have
• 38:02
  that.
• 38:04
  Master
• 38:04
  plumber.
• 38:05
  Ooh,
• 38:05
  we
• 38:05
  got
• 38:05
  to
• 38:05
  change
• 38:05
  your
• 38:06
  name.
• 38:07
  Master
• 38:07
  electrician,
• 38:09
  Master
• 38:10
  lock.
• 38:10
  Oh,
• 38:10
  my
• 38:10
  gosh,
• 38:11
  they
• 38:11
  got
• 38:11
  to
• 38:11
  change
• 38:11
  their
• 38:12
  name.
• 38:12
  I
• 38:13
  have
• 38:13
  to
• 38:13
  make
• 38:13
  that.
• 38:13
  It's
• 38:13
  a.
• 38:14
  Like,
• 38:15
  it's
• 38:15
  a
• 38:15
  thing
• 38:15
  of
• 38:15
  syrup.
• 38:16
  Give
• 38:17
  me
• 38:17
  a
• 38:17
  break.
• 38:18
  It's
• 38:19
  ridiculous.
• 38:20
  It's
• 38:20
  a
• 38:20
  master
• 38:21
  bathroom.
• 38:21
  It's
• 38:21
  what
• 38:21
  we've
• 38:22
  called
• 38:22
  it
• 38:22
  since
• 38:22
  the
• 38:22
  20s.
• 38:23
  I'm
• 38:23
  not
• 38:23
  changing
• 38:24
  it
• 38:24
  just
• 38:25
  because
• 38:25
  somebody's
• 38:26
  clutching
• 38:26
  their
• 38:26
  pearls
• 38:26
  trying
• 38:26
  to
• 38:27
  make
• 38:27
  a
• 38:27
  word
• 38:27
  something
• 38:27
  that
• 38:28
  it's
• 38:28
  not.
• 38:29
  End
• 38:29
  of
• 38:29
  rant.
• 38:30
  Thanks,
• 38:30
  guys.
• 38:31
  So
• 38:31
  really,
• 38:32
  when
• 38:32
  it
• 38:32
  comes
• 38:32
  down
• 38:32
  to
• 38:32
  it,
• 38:33
  when
• 38:33
  you're
• 38:33
  designing
• 38:34
  that
• 38:35
  bathroom,
• 38:36
  when
• 38:36
  you're
• 38:36
  designing
• 38:37
  that
• 38:37
  space,
• 38:38
  put
• 38:38
  in
• 38:39
  a
• 38:39
  good
• 38:39
  toilet.
• 38:41
  Don't
• 38:41
  go
• 38:41
  buy
• 38:41
  the
• 38:42
  house
• 38:42
  brand
• 38:42
  one
• 38:42
  from
• 38:43
  your
• 38:43
  home
• 38:43
  center.
• 38:44
  And
• 38:44
  really,
• 38:45
  it's
• 38:45
  hard
• 38:45
  to
• 38:45
  buy
• 38:46
  a
• 38:46
  really
• 38:46
  good
• 38:46
  toilet
• 38:46
  or
• 38:47
  home
• 38:47
  center.
• 38:48
  Many
• 38:48
  of
• 38:48
  those
• 38:48
  are
• 38:49
  there
• 38:49
  because
• 38:49
  of
• 38:49
  price
• 38:50
  points,
• 38:50
  not
• 38:50
  because
• 38:50
  they
• 38:51
  work
• 38:51
  well.
• 38:52
  Now,
• 38:52
  I
• 38:52
  will
• 38:53
  say
• 38:53
  American
• 38:53
  Standard
• 38:54
  and
• 38:54
  Kohler
• 38:55
  has
• 38:55
  come
• 38:55
  a
• 38:55
  long
• 38:55
  way
• 38:56
  over
• 38:56
  the
• 38:56
  last
• 38:56
  five
• 38:57
  years
• 38:58
  to
• 38:58
  start
• 38:58
  to
• 38:58
  catch
• 38:59
  up
• 38:59
  to
• 38:59
  where
• 38:59
  Toto
• 39:00
  is.
• 39:01
  But
• 39:01
  they're
• 39:01
  not
• 39:01
  there
• 39:01
  yet.
• 39:03
  So
• 39:03
  take
• 39:03
  a
• 39:03
  look
• 39:04
  at
• 39:05
  Toto
• 39:05
  toilets.
• 39:05
  Put
• 39:06
  one
• 39:06
  in
• 39:06
  there.
• 39:06
  That's
• 39:07
  the
• 39:07
  best
• 39:07
  way
• 39:07
  to
• 39:08
  go.
• 39:08
  That
• 39:09
  is
• 39:09
  a
• 39:09
  toilet
• 39:10
  that
• 39:10
  will
• 39:11
  be
• 39:11
  easier
• 39:12
  to
• 39:12
  clean.
• 39:13
  Lot
• 39:14
  less
• 39:14
  chance
• 39:14
  of
• 39:14
  plugging
• 39:15
  up.
• 39:16
  It's
• 39:16
  going
• 39:16
  to
• 39:16
  be
• 39:16
  more
• 39:16
  comfortable
• 39:17
  and
• 39:17
  better
• 39:17
  designed.
• 39:19
  End
• 39:19
  of
• 39:19
  story.
• 39:20
  And
• 39:21
  if
• 39:21
  you
• 39:21
  don't
• 39:21
  know
• 39:21
  who
• 39:22
  Toto
• 39:22
  is,
• 39:23
  they
• 39:23
  make
• 39:23
  more
• 39:23
  toilets
• 39:24
  worldwide
• 39:25
  than
• 39:25
  American
• 39:25
  Standard
• 39:26
  and
• 39:26
  Kohler
• 39:26
  combined.
• 39:28
  And
• 39:28
  take
• 39:28
  a
• 39:28
  look.
• 39:29
  Get
• 39:29
  something.
• 39:29
  If
• 39:30
  you're
• 39:30
  over
• 39:30
  the
• 39:31
  age
• 39:31
  of
• 39:31
  30,
• 39:32
  look
• 39:32
  at
• 39:32
  comfort
• 39:32
  height.
• 39:33
  Little
• 39:34
  taller.
• 39:35
  Now
• 39:35
  if
• 39:35
  you
• 39:35
  want
• 39:36
  to
• 39:36
  leave
• 39:36
  one
• 39:36
  that's
• 39:36
  a
• 39:36
  regular
• 39:37
  height
• 39:37
  for
• 39:37
  the
• 39:37
  kids
• 39:38
  in
• 39:38
  the
• 39:38
  hall
• 39:39
  bathroom,
• 39:40
  awesome.
• 39:41
  Comfort
• 39:41
  height
• 39:42
  is
• 39:42
  way
• 39:42
  better
• 39:42
  for
• 39:43
  your
• 39:43
  legs,
• 39:44
  way
• 39:44
  better
• 39:45
  for
• 39:45
  your
• 39:45
  knees.
• 39:46
  And
• 39:46
  take
• 39:46
  a
• 39:47
  look
• 39:47
  at
• 39:47
  that
• 39:47
  bidet
• 39:47
  toilet
• 39:48
  seat.
• 39:49
  Who
• 39:49
  doesn't
• 39:49
  like
• 39:49
  a
• 39:49
  heated
• 39:50
  toilet
• 39:50
  seat?
• 39:51
  And
• 39:51
  a
• 39:51
  lot
• 39:52
  of
• 39:52
  the
• 39:52
  new
• 39:52
  ones
• 39:52
  now
• 39:52
  have
• 39:53
  charcoal
• 39:53
  filtration.
• 39:54
  So
• 39:54
  if
• 39:54
  your
• 39:56
  significant
• 39:56
  other
• 39:56
  or
• 39:57
  your
• 39:57
  guests
• 39:58
  come
• 39:58
  over
• 39:58
  like
• 39:59
  that
• 39:59
  crazy
• 39:59
  uncle
• 40:00
  and
• 40:00
  destroys
• 40:00
  that
• 40:00
  bathroom
• 40:01
  over
• 40:01
  the
• 40:01
  holidays,
• 40:02
  you
• 40:03
  can
• 40:03
  make
• 40:03
  a
• 40:03
  dent
• 40:03
  out
• 40:04
  of
• 40:04
  that
• 40:05
  with
• 40:05
  a
• 40:05
  charcoal
• 40:05
  filtration
• 40:06
  system
• 40:06
  that's
• 40:07
  built
• 40:07
  into
• 40:07
  the
• 40:07
  toilet
• 40:08
  seat
• 40:08
  as
• 40:08
  well
• 40:10
  as
• 40:10
  a
• 40:10
  really
• 40:10
  good
• 40:11
  vent
• 40:11
  fan.
• 40:11
  That
• 40:11
  bathroom
• 40:12
  must
• 40:12
  have
• 40:13
  a
• 40:14
  really
• 40:14
  good
• 40:14
  vent
• 40:15
  fan.
• 40:15
  Now
• 40:15
  one
• 40:15
  thing,
• 40:15
  when
• 40:16
  you're
• 40:16
  looking
• 40:16
  at
• 40:16
  ven
• 40:16
  fans,
• 40:17
  I
• 40:18
  like
• 40:18
  the
• 40:18
  Panasonics.
• 40:19
  They
• 40:20
  are
• 40:20
  better
• 40:21
  in
• 40:21
  my
• 40:22
  opinion
• 40:22
  than
• 40:22
  the
• 40:22
  Bro
• 40:23
  Newtones.
• 40:23
  I
• 40:23
  have
• 40:23
  a
• 40:23
  Bro
• 40:23
  Newtone
• 40:24
  in
• 40:24
  my
• 40:24
  house.
• 40:24
  I
• 40:24
  swapped
• 40:25
  them
• 40:25
  out.
• 40:26
  I
• 40:26
  would
• 40:27
  rather
• 40:27
  put
• 40:27
  the
• 40:27
  Panasonic
• 40:28
  back
• 40:28
  in.
• 40:28
  It's
• 40:29
  a
• 40:29
  better
• 40:29
  fan.
• 40:29
  It
• 40:30
  really
• 40:30
  is.
• 40:31
  It
• 40:31
  works
• 40:32
  so
• 40:32
  much
• 40:32
  better.
• 40:32
  It's
• 40:33
  quieter.
• 40:34
  My
• 40:34
  Bro
• 40:34
  Newtone
• 40:35
  one
• 40:35
  that
• 40:35
  I
• 40:35
  put
• 40:35
  in
• 40:36
  looks
• 40:36
  good,
• 40:37
  it's
• 40:38
  got
• 40:38
  some
• 40:38
  good
• 40:38
  features.
• 40:38
  But
• 40:39
  the
• 40:39
  problem
• 40:39
  is
• 40:40
  that
• 40:40
  after
• 40:40
  a
• 40:41
  while
• 40:41
  it
• 40:41
  starts
• 40:41
  to
• 40:42
  rattle
• 40:43
  and
• 40:43
  make
• 40:43
  noise.
• 40:44
  Now
• 40:45
  Panasonics
• 40:46
  just
• 40:46
  don't
• 40:46
  do
• 40:46
  that.
• 40:47
  They're
• 40:47
  super
• 40:47
  quiet.
• 40:47
  They're
• 40:48
  whisper
• 40:48
  quiet.
• 40:49
  And
• 40:50
  you
• 40:50
  want
• 40:50
  that.
• 40:50
  So
• 40:51
  you're
• 40:51
  saving
• 40:51
  some
• 40:51
  energy
• 40:52
  by
• 40:52
  getting
• 40:52
  that
• 40:52
  humidity,
• 40:53
  chemicals
• 40:54
  and
• 40:54
  everything
• 40:54
  else
• 40:54
  out
• 40:55
  of
• 40:55
  that
• 40:55
  room.
• 40:56
  So
• 40:56
  that's
• 40:56
  a
• 40:57
  big
• 40:57
  one.
• 40:58
  Now
• 40:58
  flooring
• 40:58
  is
• 40:59
  an
• 40:59
  interesting
• 40:59
  one.
• 40:59
  I
• 41:00
  like
• 41:00
  heated
• 41:00
  tile
• 41:00
  floors.
• 41:01
  I
• 41:02
  think
• 41:02
  it's
• 41:02
  a
• 41:02
  good
• 41:02
  waterproof
• 41:03
  solution.
• 41:04
  I'm
• 41:05
  not
• 41:05
  a
• 41:05
  fan
• 41:05
  of
• 41:05
  the
• 41:05
  bathroom
• 41:06
  of
• 41:06
  click
• 41:06
  together
• 41:07
  floating
• 41:07
  floors.
• 41:08
  I
• 41:08
  think
• 41:08
  you're
• 41:08
  asking
• 41:09
  for
• 41:09
  problems
• 41:09
  getting
• 41:09
  water
• 41:10
  underneath
• 41:10
  it
• 41:11
  and
• 41:11
  trapping
• 41:11
  it.
• 41:12
  Yeah,
• 41:12
  the
• 41:12
  water.
• 41:13
  The
• 41:13
  floor
• 41:13
  is
• 41:14
  waterproof.
• 41:15
  You
• 41:15
  might
• 41:15
  not
• 41:15
  hurt
• 41:15
  it
• 41:16
  because
• 41:16
  it's
• 41:16
  all
• 41:16
  plastic,
• 41:17
  but
• 41:17
  the
• 41:18
  water
• 41:18
  damage
• 41:18
  underneath
• 41:19
  it
• 41:19
  can
• 41:19
  be
• 41:19
  a
• 41:19
  serious
• 41:19
  issue.
• 41:21
  So
• 41:21
  to
• 41:21
  me,
• 41:22
  bathrooms
• 41:23
  and
• 41:23
  tile
• 41:23
  floors
• 41:23
  make
• 41:24
  it
• 41:24
  a
• 41:24
  lot
• 41:24
  easier.
• 41:24
  And
• 41:25
  with
• 41:25
  grout
• 41:25
  these
• 41:26
  days,
• 41:27
  easy
• 41:27
  peasy.
• 41:28
  Use
• 41:29
  like
• 41:29
  Ardex
• 41:30
  to
• 41:30
  install
• 41:31
  use
• 41:32
  their
• 41:32
  products,
• 41:33
  their
• 41:33
  grouts
• 41:34
  resealed,
• 41:36
  don't
• 41:36
  have
• 41:36
  to
• 41:36
  go
• 41:36
  back
• 41:36
  and
• 41:37
  seal
• 41:37
  them,
• 41:37
  which
• 41:37
  means
• 41:37
  they're
• 41:38
  easy
• 41:38
  to
• 41:38
  take
• 41:38
  care
• 41:39
  of.
• 41:40
  They
• 41:40
  clean
• 41:40
  up
• 41:40
  super
• 41:41
  easy.
• 41:42
  So
• 41:42
  something
• 41:43
  to
• 41:43
  think
• 41:43
  about
• 41:44
  when
• 41:44
  you're
• 41:44
  looking
• 41:44
  at
• 41:45
  that.
• 41:46
  Don't
• 41:46
  go
• 41:46
  buy
• 41:46
  the
• 41:46
  grout
• 41:47
  off
• 41:47
  the
• 41:47
  home
• 41:47
  center
• 41:48
  shelf.
• 41:48
  Go
• 41:49
  to
• 41:49
  your
• 41:49
  flooring
• 41:49
  and
• 41:50
  tile
• 41:50
  store,
• 41:51
  get
• 41:51
  the
• 41:51
  stuff
• 41:51
  there.
• 41:52
  Makes
• 41:52
  life
• 41:53
  so
• 41:53
  much
• 41:53
  easier
• 41:54
  when
• 41:54
  it
• 41:54
  comes
• 41:54
  to
• 41:54
  that.
• 41:56
  And
• 41:56
  think
• 41:56
  about
• 41:56
  if
• 41:57
  you're
• 41:57
  doing
• 41:57
  a
• 41:57
  bathroom
• 41:58
  gut,
• 41:59
  put
• 41:59
  some
• 41:59
  blocks
• 41:59
  in
• 42:00
  the
• 42:00
  wall
• 42:00
  where
• 42:01
  would
• 42:01
  you
• 42:01
  put
• 42:02
  towel
• 42:03
  racks?
• 42:03
  Where
• 42:03
  would
• 42:03
  you
• 42:04
  put.
• 42:04
  If
• 42:04
  you
• 42:05
  had
• 42:05
  to
• 42:05
  have
• 42:05
  knee
• 42:06
  surgery,
• 42:06
  where
• 42:07
  would
• 42:07
  you
• 42:07
  put
• 42:07
  some
• 42:07
  handles
• 42:08
  if
• 42:08
  you're
• 42:08
  going
• 42:08
  to
• 42:08
  age
• 42:08
  in
• 42:09
  that
• 42:09
  place
• 42:09
  gracefully,
• 42:10
  where
• 42:10
  grandma's
• 42:10
  got
• 42:11
  to
• 42:11
  come
• 42:11
  over.
• 42:11
  If
• 42:11
  you're
• 42:12
  going
• 42:12
  to
• 42:12
  put
• 42:12
  some
• 42:12
  decorative
• 42:12
  grab
• 42:13
  bars
• 42:13
  in,
• 42:13
  are
• 42:14
  you
• 42:14
  blocking
• 42:14
  out
• 42:14
  for
• 42:14
  that?
• 42:15
  Takes
• 42:15
  you
• 42:15
  a
• 42:15
  half
• 42:16
  hour.
• 42:17
  Put
• 42:17
  some
• 42:17
  blocks
• 42:17
  between
• 42:18
  the
• 42:18
  studs
• 42:18
  before
• 42:19
  you
• 42:19
  drywall
• 42:20
  and
• 42:20
  then
• 42:21
  take
• 42:21
  some
• 42:21
  pictures.
• 42:23
  Figure
• 42:23
  out
• 42:23
  where
• 42:23
  those
• 42:24
  blocks
• 42:24
  are.
• 42:25
  Take
• 42:25
  a
• 42:25
  picture
• 42:25
  with
• 42:25
  the
• 42:26
  tape
• 42:26
  measure
• 42:26
  to
• 42:26
  show
• 42:26
  it.
• 42:27
  It'll
• 42:27
  get
• 42:27
  saved
• 42:27
  in
• 42:28
  your.
• 42:28
  It'll
• 42:28
  get
• 42:29
  saved
• 42:29
  in
• 42:29
  your
• 42:29
  phone.
• 42:29
  It's
• 42:30
  not
• 42:30
  a
• 42:30
  big
• 42:30
  deal.
• 42:31
  It'll
• 42:32
  work
• 42:32
  well.
• 42:32
  That's
• 42:33
  the
• 42:33
  secret
• 42:33
  to
• 42:33
  doing
• 42:34
  that.
• 42:34
  Take
• 42:35
  pictures,
• 42:35
  keep
• 42:35
  it
• 42:35
  in
• 42:35
  the
• 42:36
  cloud,
• 42:36
  put
• 42:37
  in
• 42:37
  a
• 42:37
  folder,
• 42:37
  bathroom
• 42:39
  or
• 42:39
  measurements,
• 42:40
  whatever.
• 42:41
  That
• 42:42
  way
• 42:42
  you
• 42:42
  know
• 42:42
  it's
• 42:42
  behind
• 42:42
  the
• 42:43
  wall.
• 42:43
  I
• 42:43
  did
• 42:44
  that
• 42:44
  on
• 42:44
  my
• 42:44
  bathroom.
• 42:45
  I
• 42:45
  took
• 42:45
  pictures
• 42:45
  of
• 42:45
  the
• 42:46
  walls
• 42:46
  on
• 42:47
  the
• 42:47
  floor
• 42:47
  when
• 42:47
  I
• 42:47
  had
• 42:47
  the
• 42:47
  floor
• 42:48
  up,
• 42:48
  doing
• 42:48
  some
• 42:48
  floor
• 42:48
  repair.
• 42:49
  My
• 42:49
  kitchen,
• 42:50
  when
• 42:50
  I
• 42:50
  did,
• 42:50
  had
• 42:50
  the
• 42:51
  drywall
• 42:51
  out
• 42:51
  of
• 42:51
  the
• 42:51
  ceiling,
• 42:52
  did
• 42:53
  the
• 42:53
  same
• 42:53
  thing.
• 42:54
  So
• 42:54
  I
• 42:54
  know
• 42:55
  where
• 42:55
  things
• 42:55
  are
• 42:55
  hiding.
• 42:56
  That's
• 42:57
  a
• 42:57
  good
• 42:57
  key
• 42:57
  right
• 42:57
  there
• 42:57
  to
• 42:58
  make
• 42:58
  sure
• 42:58
  you
• 42:58
  know
• 42:59
  what's
• 42:59
  going
• 42:59
  on
• 42:59
  and
• 43:00
  where
• 43:00
  it
• 43:00
  is.
• 43:01
  It's
• 43:01
  a
• 43:02
  big
• 43:02
  deal.
• 43:03
  Makes
• 43:03
  it
• 43:03
  a
• 43:03
  heck
• 43:04
  of
• 43:04
  a
• 43:04
  lot
• 43:04
  easier.
• 43:05
  Makes
• 43:05
  it
• 43:05
  a
• 43:06
  heck
• 43:06
  of
• 43:06
  a
• 43:06
  lot
• 43:06
  easier.
• 43:07
  So
• 43:08
  those
• 43:08
  are
• 43:08
  some
• 43:08
  of
• 43:08
  my
• 43:08
  tricks.
• 43:10
  And
• 43:10
  keep
• 43:10
  in
• 43:10
  mind,
• 43:11
  too,
• 43:12
  if
• 43:12
  you
• 43:12
  buy
• 43:12
  those
• 43:13
  off
• 43:13
  the
• 43:14
  shelf.
• 43:14
  Vanity
• 43:15
  combo
• 43:15
  kits,
• 43:16
  cabinet,
• 43:17
  countertop,
• 43:18
  sink,
• 43:18
  faucet,
• 43:20
  those
• 43:20
  are
• 43:20
  designed
• 43:20
  in
• 43:21
  almost
• 43:21
  all
• 43:21
  cases
• 43:22
  to
• 43:22
  be
• 43:22
  freestanding,
• 43:23
  not
• 43:23
  to
• 43:23
  go
• 43:23
  up
• 43:23
  against
• 43:24
  the
• 43:24
  wall.
• 43:25
  So
• 43:25
  you're
• 43:25
  going
• 43:25
  to
• 43:25
  have
• 43:26
  to
• 43:26
  either
• 43:26
  come
• 43:26
  up
• 43:26
  with
• 43:26
  a
• 43:26
  filler
• 43:27
  or
• 43:28
  modify
• 43:28
  that
• 43:29
  to
• 43:29
  go
• 43:29
  up
• 43:29
  against
• 43:29
  the
• 43:29
  wall.
• 43:30
  So
• 43:30
  just
• 43:30
  make
• 43:30
  sure
• 43:30
  you
• 43:31
  understand
• 43:31
  what
• 43:32
  that
• 43:32
  does
• 43:32
  for
• 43:32
  you
• 43:33
  and
• 43:33
  how
• 43:33
  it
• 43:33
  goes
• 43:34
  in.
• 43:34
  Those
• 43:34
  are
• 43:34
  best
• 43:35
  used
• 43:35
  freestanding.
• 43:37
  Have
• 43:37
  it
• 43:37
  a
• 43:37
  couple
• 43:37
  inches
• 43:38
  off
• 43:38
  the
• 43:38
  wall.
• 43:38
  That's
• 43:39
  what
• 43:39
  they're
• 43:39
  planned
• 43:39
  for.
• 43:40
  So
• 43:40
  think
• 43:41
  about
• 43:41
  that
• 43:41
  when
• 43:41
  you're
• 43:41
  doing
• 43:42
  this.
• 43:43
  That's
• 43:43
  a
• 43:43
  big
• 43:43
  deal
• 43:44
  because
• 43:44
  you'll
• 43:45
  buy
• 43:45
  it,
• 43:45
  go
• 43:45
  to
• 43:45
  slam
• 43:45
  it
• 43:45
  up
• 43:46
  against
• 43:46
  the
• 43:46
  wall.
• 43:46
  And
• 43:46
  anytime
• 43:47
  a
• 43:47
  cabinet
• 43:47
  goes
• 43:48
  up
• 43:48
  against
• 43:48
  the
• 43:48
  wall,
• 43:48
  you
• 43:48
  need
• 43:48
  to
• 43:48
  have
• 43:48
  a
• 43:49
  filler
• 43:49
  there
• 43:49
  that
• 43:49
  scribes
• 43:50
  to
• 43:50
  that.
• 43:51
  Many
• 43:51
  of
• 43:51
  those
• 43:51
  freestanding
• 43:52
  vanities
• 43:52
  don't
• 43:53
  do
• 43:53
  that.
• 43:53
  So
• 43:54
  you're
• 43:54
  gonna
• 43:54
  have
• 43:54
  to
• 43:54
  come
• 43:54
  up
• 43:54
  with
• 43:55
  maybe
• 43:55
  your
• 43:56
  own
• 43:56
  cabinet,
• 43:56
  your
• 43:56
  own
• 43:56
  vanity,
• 43:57
  your
• 43:57
  own
• 43:57
  sink,
• 43:57
  your
• 43:58
  own
• 43:58
  faucets,
• 43:59
  and
• 43:59
  go
• 44:00
  that
• 44:00
  route.
• 44:00
  So
• 44:01
  that's
• 44:01
  a
• 44:01
  key
• 44:01
  to
• 44:01
  doing
• 44:02
  that
• 44:02
  correctly.
• 44:03
  So
• 44:03
  be
• 44:04
  careful
• 44:04
  of
• 44:04
  just
• 44:04
  running
• 44:04
  down
• 44:05
  to
• 44:05
  your
• 44:05
  home
• 44:05
  improvement
• 44:05
  store
• 44:05
  and
• 44:06
  buying
• 44:06
  the
• 44:06
  vanity
• 44:06
  in
• 44:07
  one
• 44:07
  kit.
• 44:07
  Unless
• 44:08
  it's
• 44:08
  standing
• 44:08
  there
• 44:09
  on
• 44:09
  the
• 44:09
  wall
• 44:09
  by
• 44:09
  itself
• 44:09
  like
• 44:10
  a
• 44:10
  pedestal
• 44:10
  sink,
• 44:11
  you
• 44:11
  might
• 44:12
  run
• 44:12
  into
• 44:12
  problems
• 44:12
  with
• 44:12
  that.
• 44:13
  So
• 44:14
  if
• 44:14
  you
• 44:14
  have
• 44:14
  any
• 44:14
  more
