- 0:02Speaker 1: Day's variety Big ninety eight point seven. It's Gabe, it's Angie.
- 0:06Speaker 1: We've got Why do you sound like that? Le sunny
- 0:08Speaker 1: skies today a high of eighty one.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Well, I don't know. I'm just a bit disappointed in
- 0:13Speaker 2: you today, in me.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Yeah, why what?
- 0:17Speaker 1: Today is a very important day and you have not
- 0:19Speaker 1: acknowledged it at all, one time for one second. Yet,
- 0:22Speaker 1: what are you talking about today, Angie? June fifth is
- 0:27Speaker 1: my half birthday? Oh no, my, and there has not
- 0:32Speaker 1: been one. Hey, happy thirty five and a half Gabe. Hey, Gabe,
- 0:36Speaker 1: this day is all about you. Hey, Gabe, I just
- 0:38Speaker 1: love you so much. Happy half birthday. I've got nothing
- 0:41Speaker 1: from you.
- 0:42Speaker 4: You know what, since it's your half birthday, I'm gonna
- 0:45Speaker 4: give you a.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Happy and that's it.
- 0:49Speaker 2: I kind of like what you did there.
- 0:50Speaker 4: Happy Harry's rippest going on today.
- 0:56Speaker 1: I woke up this morning. I feel like a gd
- 0:59Speaker 1: SO super hero today, Angie. Yesterday, my wife Corey and
- 1:03Speaker 1: I we took a CPR class where we learned how
- 1:07Speaker 1: to perform you know, CPR, and we learned how to
- 1:11Speaker 1: keep track of the things you're doing in the moment
- 1:13Speaker 1: so you can stay calm and you know, obviously if
- 1:16Speaker 1: you've seen The Office, you know, you know, you'd.
- 1:19Speaker 3: The best episode of all time.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Yeah, you do the chess compressions to this song or
- 1:24Speaker 1: it also works to Pink Pony Club.
- 1:26Speaker 2: But it was really really cool.
- 1:28Speaker 1: My wife is taking a couple CPR classes, so she
- 1:30Speaker 1: was a little bit ahead of the ahead of me
- 1:31Speaker 1: in the in the game here. But I'll tell you
- 1:33Speaker 1: what if something terrible ever happened to our deer Angie
- 1:38Speaker 1: here in Big ninety eight point seven to where she
- 1:40Speaker 1: could not breathe or got something, you know, stuck in
- 1:43Speaker 1: her throat, like a sunflower seat or something, I would
- 1:46Speaker 1: be able to save our deer Angie. I actually walk
- 1:49Speaker 1: around feeling a little bit better than like anybody.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Wait, even though I'm not a baby.
- 1:54Speaker 2: No, yeah, I can do it for you. Yeah, I
- 1:55Speaker 2: still know what to do.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Oh yeah, First we learned about how it works with
- 1:59Speaker 1: like like children, you know, like kids, and then it
- 2:03Speaker 1: was babies, and all of the steps in theory are
- 2:06Speaker 1: the same, and even for like grown adults there's a
- 2:10Speaker 1: couple things that are a tiny bit different, but in
- 2:12Speaker 1: theory it's still all kind of the same idea.
- 2:15Speaker 2: And it was just really really cool.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I could not recommend even if you don't have kids,
- 2:19Speaker 1: or if you do have kids, but if you don't
- 2:20Speaker 1: have kids, just knowing how to do it.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Oh yeah, one hundred percent.
- 2:24Speaker 4: I took a CPR class when I was in ninth
- 2:27Speaker 4: grade and that was the last time ever.
- 2:29Speaker 3: And honestly, it is so important.
- 2:30Speaker 4: I'm glad that you did this for like baby CPR
- 2:33Speaker 4: because when Liam was like a year and a half,
- 2:36Speaker 4: he was eating.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Food and he started choking.
- 2:41Speaker 4: It's not funny, but he survived, so I can write
- 2:43Speaker 4: I can laugh now.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:44Speaker 4: Yeah, he started choking and instead of me doing like
- 2:48Speaker 4: him LAG or CPR or whatever, I passed out.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Like I passed out.
- 2:52Speaker 4: I hit a chair on the way down to the floor,
- 2:55Speaker 4: and thankfully Dad was there and he saved Liam. R.
- 2:58Speaker 3: I don't know what that took, what that looked like.
- 3:01Speaker 4: Because I was passed out, And when I came to Aiden,
- 3:04Speaker 4: who was like seven or eight, was like, you.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Hit the chair when you fell.
- 3:09Speaker 4: I was like great, and I felt so useless, like
- 3:13Speaker 4: had Dad not been there, Liam.
- 3:15Speaker 3: Would have died. So this is super important.
- 3:19Speaker 4: Now I'm convincing myself I need to go take a
- 3:21Speaker 4: CPR club.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Yeah, and we work with someone who at one point
- 3:25Speaker 1: did some stuff in like the nursing field, right, And
- 3:29Speaker 1: I had told him I was going to take this
- 3:31Speaker 1: CPR class. Oh, Dave over on the Fox, David Fox exactly,
- 3:34Speaker 1: and he had mentioned, he goes, yeah, I think everybody
- 3:36Speaker 1: should learn, And after taking, you know, a two hour
- 3:39Speaker 1: class about it, I could not agree more If everybody
- 3:42Speaker 1: at the very least learned what to do so you
- 3:45Speaker 1: don't panic. I'm not saying you wouldn't have adrenaline while
- 3:49Speaker 1: you're trying to help someone who could use it, but
- 3:51Speaker 1: at the very least you know step abcd E, and
- 3:56Speaker 1: then it's a lot easier to remain calm. So I
- 3:59Speaker 1: could not be more grateful because when Corey got home,
- 4:02Speaker 1: I was like, okay, we gotta do the CPR class.
- 4:04Speaker 1: And then she I was like how long is this
- 4:06Speaker 1: and she was like two hours and I kind of
- 4:08Speaker 1: rolled my eyes, like, oh my god, two hours.
- 4:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:10Speaker 1: But then by the time we left, I was like, oh,
- 4:13Speaker 1: I am very glad I took that. I all that
- 4:15Speaker 1: I needed to learn, so it was definitely definitely worth it.
- 4:18Speaker 4: Okay, so now that you know the CPR, we've got
- 4:22Speaker 4: Dave on the Fox, who has a nursing background. I
- 4:25Speaker 4: think you guys should lead a CPR seminar.
- 4:29Speaker 3: For this building.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Maybe in the building, Yeah, for this building.
- 4:33Speaker 4: Yeah, let's do the office part two, baby, Yeah, that's right.
- 4:40Speaker 5: Celebrating life's little victories every morning we practice gratitude on
- 4:45Speaker 5: Big ninety eight point seven.
- 4:47Speaker 3: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 4:49Speaker 3: basket job busted out when it was someone's acting hard.
- 4:53Speaker 5: Sure your little victories with us at seven oh one two,
- 4:56Speaker 5: eight oh one ninety eight seven.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Kids, I also needed to win that day, Angie. Do
- 5:01Speaker 2: you have a little victory for us this morning?
- 5:03Speaker 4: I experienced this morning as I was getting dressed what
- 5:07Speaker 4: I call a non scale victory because I'm trying to get,
- 5:11Speaker 4: you know, in shape, because I want to be healthier, and.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Also I just want to feel like I look hotder.
- 5:16Speaker 4: So I've been on this little fitness journey and today
- 5:21Speaker 4: I am fitting perfectly into a pair of jeans that
- 5:26Speaker 4: I haven't been able to wear since last year due
- 5:28Speaker 4: to a shrinking incident in the dryer. So today I
- 5:34Speaker 4: put them on and like they fit. I'm not muffin
- 5:37Speaker 4: topping like your girl is feeling real proud of herself.
- 5:41Speaker 1: It's a nice, comfortable fit. You're not squeezing into them,
- 5:45Speaker 1: no real fact.
- 5:46Speaker 4: Maybe I'm starting to get a little room in the
- 5:48Speaker 4: waist so I wow. Yeah, I'm feeling really proud of myself.
- 5:52Speaker 4: So that's my victory today.
- 5:53Speaker 6: What about you, Gabe, Well, my little victory as Angie
- 5:57Speaker 6: is trying to, you know, maybe work on doing a
- 6:00Speaker 6: little health journey or maybe a fitness journey.
- 6:04Speaker 1: I've been all about fitness. Ribs in my mouth to
- 6:07Speaker 1: past couple of days. Oh my god, I am getting
- 6:10Speaker 1: so bloated from all of this food, and you know what,
- 6:12Speaker 1: we're gonna run it back again today. I couldn't care
- 6:16Speaker 1: less that I have probably put on three pounds to
- 6:19Speaker 1: four pounds in the past. You know, maybe by the
- 6:22Speaker 1: end of today, day three, I'm happy here pounds in
- 6:25Speaker 1: meat and that for you, it is wonderful. My father,
- 6:29Speaker 1: I grew up hearing this rule from Greg Glitten my
- 6:32Speaker 1: entire life, and he would always say, from about November
- 6:36Speaker 1: to December, don't come checking for my waistline.
- 6:40Speaker 2: I don't care. I'm going to enjoy Thanksgiving.
- 6:43Speaker 1: I'm going to enjoy Christmas food, and I'm gonna eat
- 6:45Speaker 1: too much of it and we'll get back on track
- 6:47Speaker 1: in January. Yeah, well, I've applied that to me for
- 6:50Speaker 1: the start of the official start of summer here at
- 6:53Speaker 1: them area. I could not care less that I probably
- 6:57Speaker 1: have barbecue sauce sweating out of my armpits on a
- 7:01Speaker 1: day to day basis here.
- 7:03Speaker 2: So that's what my little victory is, Angie.
- 7:06Speaker 3: You love it.
- 7:06Speaker 1: You work on you know, your your health journey, and
- 7:09Speaker 1: and fitting in them old jeans and I'm gonna work
- 7:11Speaker 1: on Nita to buy a whole new wardrobe by Monday.
- 7:14Speaker 3: Yes, I love this for you.
- 7:23Speaker 1: There's this mother who has gone viral involving the naming
- 7:28Speaker 1: of her child. Her she is a soon to be mom,
- 7:31Speaker 1: and she's considering changing her unborn son's name after family
- 7:35Speaker 1: members kept getting it wrong. She really and it's kind
- 7:39Speaker 1: of funny because we did just talk about the teenage
- 7:40Speaker 1: mutant Ninja Turtles this yesterday.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Or the day it was.
- 7:44Speaker 1: She really loves the name Rafael, but she says relatives
- 7:48Speaker 1: have already started calling him Ralph or Ralphie, which is
- 7:53Speaker 1: not Rafael.
- 7:55Speaker 3: Yeah, so her relatives are stupid.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Yeah, they're just not like, what are you? They're just
- 8:00Speaker 1: not getting it right.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Rafael is an easy name.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Very easy to say.
- 8:04Speaker 1: I agree, but she's getting frustrated and really second guessing
- 8:09Speaker 1: the choice and might change it, which led me to
- 8:12Speaker 1: the question here today. Do you know someone who has
- 8:14Speaker 1: changed their name legally, not because they got married or
- 8:17Speaker 1: anything like that, but maybe they just had a name
- 8:20Speaker 1: they didn't like. Maybe they were named after someone who
- 8:22Speaker 1: ended up being a scumbag or just a horrible human,
- 8:25Speaker 1: or maybe your name was really hard to pronounce or spell,
- 8:29Speaker 1: and you were like, you know what, we're gonna switch it.
- 8:31Speaker 2: I'm just gonna be Max.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Yeah. I feel like that happens a lot in Asian culture.
- 8:37Speaker 4: I have a lot of friends who they have their
- 8:40Speaker 4: like American name, yeah, because their Asian name.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Is too hard to pronounce.
- 8:45Speaker 4: But I feel like, what a bummer if it's your name, Like,
- 8:49Speaker 4: people should learn your name.
- 8:51Speaker 3: I dated a guy Daniel Clark.
- 8:54Speaker 4: His dad the original last name was Cackler, and then
- 8:59Speaker 4: he changed it to Clark. And let me tell you,
- 9:02Speaker 4: I don't know that I would have dated him if
- 9:03Speaker 4: he was Daniel Cackler instead of Daniel Klauk.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Yeah, that's kind of funny.
- 9:08Speaker 1: And you mentioned that I have a buddy named Curtis
- 9:10Speaker 1: who is also an Asian man and he is Buddhists,
- 9:13Speaker 1: and he would never tell us his given name. Yes,
- 9:17Speaker 1: he just had his you know, americanized Curtis name for years.
- 9:21Speaker 1: We tried to get him to tell us what it was,
- 9:22Speaker 1: and he would not do it. He kept it pretty private.
- 9:25Speaker 3: Interesting.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Do you know someone who has changed their name or
- 9:30Speaker 1: did you change your name for whatever reason, not counting
- 9:34Speaker 1: just the last name because you got married?
- 9:36Speaker 2: What about you, Diana?
- 9:37Speaker 7: I changed my name when I got married, and then
- 9:39Speaker 7: I changed it back after my divorce. And the funniest part,
- 9:42Speaker 7: half the people at work never noticed either change. One
- 9:45Speaker 7: guy called me the wrong last name for like six
- 9:47Speaker 7: years straight.
- 9:48Speaker 2: That is kind of funny.
- 9:49Speaker 4: You literally just said, not because of divorce, But that's fine.
- 9:54Speaker 4: I mean because of getting married. Yeah, that's fine. I
- 9:56Speaker 4: never changed my name when I got married because I
- 9:59Speaker 4: was lazy too, and now we're not together, so it
- 10:02Speaker 4: worked out.
- 10:03Speaker 2: It did, all right. What about you, Tyler.
- 10:05Speaker 7: I changed my name when I got older because I
- 10:07Speaker 7: didn't like my name. I was named after a family
- 10:09Speaker 7: friend who just turned out to be a terrible person,
- 10:11Speaker 7: so I changed it.
- 10:12Speaker 2: That will do it.
- 10:13Speaker 3: That's fair.
- 10:13Speaker 4: I feel like in this day and age, like if
- 10:15Speaker 4: your last name is Epstein, probably changed that.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Yeah, like like Weinstein or something like that. Yeah, time
- 10:20Speaker 1: to get rid of that one.
- 10:24Speaker 2: This is am I the problem.
- 10:27Speaker 1: It's me.
- 10:28Speaker 3: Hi, the problem is me.
- 10:31Speaker 5: We'll hear one side of the story and with your
- 10:34Speaker 5: help probably decide if it's right or if maybe you're
- 10:39Speaker 5: the problem.
- 10:40Speaker 2: That's right, I am the problem.
- 10:42Speaker 5: On Big ninety eight point seven, is.
- 10:45Speaker 4: It fair to call Megan the workplace villain?
- 10:49Speaker 3: Hi, Angie and Gabe. I'm Megan, and apparently I'm problematic.
- 10:53Speaker 3: I didn't cover a shift for a co worker.
- 10:56Speaker 4: I hate so she could go to her sister's bachelorette.
- 10:59Speaker 4: The truth is that she would never cover a shift
- 11:01Speaker 4: for me if I was literally giving birth. I'm not pregnant,
- 11:05Speaker 4: but you get what I mean. She's really well, she's
- 11:09Speaker 4: really well liked in the building. But I think she's
- 11:12Speaker 4: a literal demon. I told her to ask someone else
- 11:15Speaker 4: to cover her shift, but she said most of them
- 11:17Speaker 4: were going to the bachelorette. So she wants me to
- 11:20Speaker 4: cover a shift for her for a party she planned
- 11:24Speaker 4: and invited everyone else but me. Also, why wouldn't she
- 11:28Speaker 4: make sure she got the shift covered before inviting everyone.
- 11:32Speaker 4: Now everyone at work thinks I'm a pos But it's
- 11:35Speaker 4: not my fault.
- 11:36Speaker 3: She doesn't know how to plan. Megan. Correct, I'm team Meghan.
- 11:43Speaker 3: Don't cover her shift. I hate that everyone thinks you're
- 11:47Speaker 3: the villain.
- 11:47Speaker 4: Now, it isn't your fault that this woman doesn't know
- 11:50Speaker 4: how to plan a party like you should have. She
- 11:53Speaker 4: should have gotten her shift covered before. That is not
- 11:56Speaker 4: your problem, especially if you don't like her. I hold grudges,
- 12:01Speaker 4: and so it seems like Megan has a grudge against
- 12:05Speaker 4: this person. And as someone who holds a grudge, I
- 12:10Speaker 4: get it. I wouldn't cover the shift. If I were
- 12:13Speaker 4: I wouldn't do it. I don't think she's a problem. Gabe,
- 12:17Speaker 4: you're looking at me disapprovingly.
- 12:19Speaker 2: No, I don't know if that's you know.
- 12:21Speaker 1: I'm going to open up the curtain a tiny bit
- 12:23Speaker 1: here on Big ninety eight point seven. Not all the time,
- 12:26Speaker 1: but there are times where Angie and I for am
- 12:28Speaker 1: I the problem. We'll think about Okay, it's not going
- 12:32Speaker 1: to sound the best if we both just come on
- 12:34Speaker 1: here and agree. I and I really want to try
- 12:37Speaker 1: to fight the other side of this, But is this
- 12:40Speaker 1: person who planned this party the dumbest human on planet Earth?
- 12:45Speaker 1: You planned a party and invited all of your coworkers
- 12:49Speaker 1: to but didn't know you could might have had to
- 12:52Speaker 1: work that day. I think this is the worst planned
- 12:56Speaker 1: thing I've ever heard in life. And if it's your
- 12:58Speaker 1: party and you planned it, just move it to a
- 13:00Speaker 1: day you don't work. Yeah, that's no, Megan, You're not
- 13:04Speaker 1: the problem.
- 13:05Speaker 5: Now.
- 13:05Speaker 1: I would say I do cover a lot of shifts
- 13:07Speaker 1: for people here at the building. Right They know I'm
- 13:10Speaker 1: the guy who can do it because nine times out
- 13:12Speaker 1: of ten I can because that one time that I
- 13:15Speaker 1: really need help from someone in here, someone will do
- 13:18Speaker 1: it for me. I always operated on the just help
- 13:22Speaker 1: your your coworkers. Just do it, even if you hate them,
- 13:25Speaker 1: just help them because at some point you are going
- 13:28Speaker 1: to need help and you're gonna want to do something
- 13:30Speaker 1: that might be fun, or you're gonna have to be
- 13:33Speaker 1: somewhere that you want to be at instead of work.
- 13:35Speaker 1: And it is a lot easier to get a shift
- 13:37Speaker 1: covered or your work covered when you have gone I
- 13:41Speaker 1: don't know, above and beyond to help other people.
- 13:43Speaker 3: Now, yeah, I'm fine with not Yeah, I'm watch.
- 13:47Speaker 2: You not well.
- 13:48Speaker 1: I'm saying, once you get to the point where you
- 13:50Speaker 1: know you need a day off and no one covers
- 13:52Speaker 1: for you, then that's over. Then you're done covering anything
- 13:55Speaker 1: ever again. So I understand not getting taken advantage of,
- 13:59Speaker 1: but it is all always going to be beneficial to
- 14:02Speaker 1: just help when you can. And I don't know what
- 14:05Speaker 1: kind of shift is this. I mean, you're gonna make
- 14:06Speaker 1: some extra money, are you busy? If you're not busy,
- 14:09Speaker 1: just do it, Okay?
- 14:10Speaker 4: No, because what if she just doesn't feel like working,
- 14:12Speaker 4: that is a valid enough and that's.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Fine, then say that that's a valid enough excuse.
- 14:17Speaker 3: I think how everyone at work thinks she's.
- 14:19Speaker 4: A pos No, I think everyone at your job is
- 14:22Speaker 4: a coos.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Whoever this other person is is? I mean, this is
- 14:25Speaker 1: the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my life.
- 14:27Speaker 4: Yeah, And I don't want to say like cause it's like, oh,
- 14:30Speaker 4: everybody likes her except you.
- 14:32Speaker 3: Maybe you're the problem.
- 14:33Speaker 4: No, because if she didn't even invite invite her, like
- 14:36Speaker 4: it's a two way street of not liking each other, well,
- 14:39Speaker 4: I would like, that's fine, don't cover.
- 14:41Speaker 3: Her shift and then she can't go to her sister's becheler.
- 14:44Speaker 3: I don't care.
- 14:44Speaker 1: I feel like there was a big giant skip in
- 14:47Speaker 1: step ABC and D here, Okay, we started planning and
- 14:51Speaker 1: inviting people for a party, right, that sounds like you're
- 14:54Speaker 1: on step B or C. Well, shouldn't step A being
- 14:59Speaker 1: I have a eight that I could actually go to this.
- 15:02Speaker 3: I think I should just skip.
- 15:04Speaker 2: I think the planning process.
- 15:05Speaker 4: Assumed that Megan would cover her shift, like I think
- 15:09Speaker 4: that this woman is probably arrogant AF and just thought, well, yeah,
- 15:13Speaker 4: that Megan girl will cover me shift, no problem.
- 15:15Speaker 2: That's the dumbest thing I ever.
- 15:16Speaker 3: Well, she's dumb. We are teams. We are team Megan.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Whose side are you on?
- 15:23Speaker 4: Do you think Meghan is being problematic? Let us know
- 15:25Speaker 4: seven oh one two eight h one nine eight seven.
- 15:27Speaker 4: We also have this up on the Big ninety eight
- 15:30Speaker 4: point seven Facebook page.
- 15:36Speaker 1: The problem. As someone who works in the service industry,
- 15:40Speaker 1: I hate people like this tough patutis And they did
- 15:45Speaker 1: add in being safe for radio, so I think Nick
- 15:49Speaker 1: wanted to use a stronger language there, but he did
- 15:51Speaker 1: say tough patuties, you didn't get your shift covered, and
- 15:55Speaker 1: I'm the solo person not invited you on your own sister.
- 15:59Speaker 1: And that's from Nick the supporting here on Big ninety
- 16:01Speaker 1: eight point seven.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Correct.
- 16:04Speaker 3: Correct Nick.
- 16:05Speaker 4: So, Megan at work, there's a girl she don't like
- 16:09Speaker 4: and she's having a bachelorette party for her sister.
- 16:12Speaker 3: Needs her shift covered.
- 16:13Speaker 4: Meghan said no, And so now everyone at work is
- 16:18Speaker 4: mad at her because basically everyone at work except Meghan
- 16:21Speaker 4: is invited to this bachelorette party situation, and so she
- 16:25Speaker 4: wants to know if she's the villain. I think you're
- 16:28Speaker 4: not the villain, Meghan. There's lots of people on Meghan's side.
- 16:31Speaker 4: Julia said, no, you aren't the problem. You have your
- 16:34Speaker 4: own life to live, and you are allowed to say
- 16:36Speaker 4: no to covering a shift for any reason or no
- 16:39Speaker 4: reason at all. It's not your fault. She didn't plan well, however,
- 16:44Speaker 4: it would be nice of you, and now you have
- 16:47Speaker 4: something that she owes you a favor on. That's the
- 16:50Speaker 4: only thing that I would like think. Okay, maybe cover
- 16:55Speaker 4: the shift if you have now leveraged over never.
- 16:58Speaker 3: Out of the goodness of your own home.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Yeah, right now. But as long as.
- 17:01Speaker 4: You know, as long as you have them owing you
- 17:04Speaker 4: or you have leverage over them, then I could see that.
- 17:07Speaker 4: So other than that, most people are absolutely on Megan's side.
- 17:12Speaker 4: I think just everybody working with Megan wants to go
- 17:17Speaker 4: to this part.
- 17:18Speaker 2: Right, and they're gonna have to change days.
- 17:20Speaker 4: Yeah, but I think at their hard of hearts, they
- 17:22Speaker 4: don't actually think Megan's a villain. They just want to
- 17:24Speaker 4: go to a bachelorette party.
- 17:26Speaker 1: I just I'm shocked, now, you know me, And I
- 17:29Speaker 1: do think if you can cover someone shift, if you
- 17:32Speaker 1: don't feel like it, no is perfectly accept that that
- 17:34Speaker 1: is a full sentence now, but if you can. I
- 17:39Speaker 1: always try to cover shifts, especially here or just in
- 17:43Speaker 1: past jobs. I always think that at some point there
- 17:46Speaker 1: is going to be something I want to do that
- 17:48Speaker 1: I know is completely stupid, but I want to go.
- 17:52Speaker 1: And the more people I help, I feel like, the
- 17:54Speaker 1: more people I can count on to potentially have my
- 17:58Speaker 1: back to cover something like that. So if she could,
- 18:02Speaker 1: I think maybe it would be worth it. As Julia said,
- 18:05Speaker 1: maybe not even for the for the having won over her,
- 18:09Speaker 1: but then all these other people you work with are
- 18:11Speaker 1: going to be like, wow, she did cover that shift
- 18:13Speaker 1: that one time, because in their heart of hearts, they
- 18:15Speaker 1: know that you don't want to do this, but whoever
- 18:19Speaker 1: planned this, This is the worst planned thing I've ever
- 18:23Speaker 1: seen in my life. You planned a bachelorette get together
- 18:28Speaker 1: before you knew if you had to work.
- 18:31Speaker 2: That day or not. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
- 18:35Speaker 4: We have only to teach her the whole f around
- 18:38Speaker 4: and find out.
- 18:39Speaker 8: Lesson go through tough life lesson. Yeah, she needs to
- 18:42Speaker 8: go through some adversity. That's right, Gabe.
- 18:50Speaker 4: You have yet to reveal what you are naming baby
- 18:53Speaker 4: g once she arrives, and maybe you never will let
- 18:58Speaker 4: us know what baby name is, and I think that
- 19:01Speaker 4: might be for the best. So there's this TikToker Madeline White,
- 19:05Speaker 4: who named her daughter Juliette July July is the middle name.
- 19:10Speaker 4: And then Cranix aka the Little Trolls in the comments,
- 19:15Speaker 4: why did you choose July if your baby was born
- 19:18Speaker 4: in June? And so this TikToker said that you don't
- 19:24Speaker 4: need the birth month reference for the name, like January Jones.
- 19:29Speaker 3: She was not born in January. Her name is just
- 19:32Speaker 3: January Jones. And I feel like.
- 19:35Speaker 4: This is a case of damned if you do, damned
- 19:38Speaker 4: if you don't. Because I actually have some people in
- 19:41Speaker 4: my life whose names are months, and they're named after
- 19:46Speaker 4: the month they were born in. So my former sister
- 19:49Speaker 4: in law, her name is.
- 19:50Speaker 2: December, great month.
- 19:52Speaker 4: She has a sister named October, a sister named September,
- 19:58Speaker 4: one named June, and one unnamed April.
- 20:02Speaker 3: So there are five sisters named.
- 20:05Speaker 4: After the months in which they were born, and everyone.
- 20:08Speaker 3: Thinks that's stupid too. So you're damned if you do,
- 20:13Speaker 3: damned if you don't.
- 20:14Speaker 2: I'm feel bad for September.
- 20:15Speaker 1: I feel like that's one of the only names in
- 20:17Speaker 1: there that it couldn't be passed off as a regular name.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Really, I think October for a girl sounds.
- 20:24Speaker 2: As October is.
- 20:25Speaker 4: They call October, they call October OT, and they call
- 20:28Speaker 4: September Seppie. That's cute, And then they called December. December
- 20:32Speaker 4: is pretty girly. I think they call.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Her December or DC.
- 20:35Speaker 4: And then June and April happened to be very common names.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Yeah, but I like that those are good nicknames.
- 20:41Speaker 3: All that to say, maybe you should keep.
- 20:43Speaker 4: Baby G's name under wraps forever before all the trolls
- 20:47Speaker 4: come out to tell you why the name is wrong.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Yeah, we uh, you know, we've shared that with like
- 20:53Speaker 1: family members and things like that.
- 20:55Speaker 2: But I don't know.
- 20:56Speaker 1: I think doing the show that I'm lucky to do
- 20:59Speaker 1: here with you every day day on Big ninety eight
- 21:00Speaker 1: point seven, at some point, you know, it'll be impossible
- 21:04Speaker 1: to not share Baby G's name.
- 21:06Speaker 2: But I think I'm kind.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Of just want to keep that bubble a bubble for
- 21:09Speaker 1: as long as humanly possible.
- 21:11Speaker 2: At some point it will come out. I mean, it's
- 21:14Speaker 2: not I feel like.
- 21:14Speaker 4: There's got to be like a thing like the day
- 21:16Speaker 4: it accidentally slips out, like confetti and BULLI yeah.
- 21:20Speaker 1: It's impossible to do this job and or do it
- 21:24Speaker 1: well at least I would hope and not kind of
- 21:26Speaker 1: reveal those things about yourself. But yeah, I just I
- 21:28Speaker 1: like having that little bubble for now because at some
- 21:32Speaker 1: point the bubble will burst. So I'm gonna enjoy it
- 21:34Speaker 1: while I can.
- 21:35Speaker 3: I know the name, but I will tell all you
- 21:37Speaker 3: do I do?
- 21:38Speaker 2: Did I tell you?
- 21:39Speaker 3: Yes?
- 21:40Speaker 2: Oh? Such a good coworker. Yeah.
- 21:45Speaker 5: I starting off the day with something good. This is
- 21:51Speaker 5: Gabe's Good News on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 21:56Speaker 1: In a time where it seems like we're hearing about
- 21:59Speaker 1: businesses csing their doors, Today's Gabe's good News of the
- 22:02Speaker 1: Day is about two Fargo entrepreneurs who refused to give
- 22:07Speaker 1: up when the Grand Junction Grand Junction Grilled Subs locations
- 22:12Speaker 1: in Fargo closed. Owners Tristan Thompson and Eric Mariccio saw
- 22:16Speaker 1: an opportunity instead of an ending. Rather than shutting down,
- 22:21Speaker 1: they created their own independence sandwich shop called Subfix, keeping
- 22:26Speaker 1: both locations open and most importantly, keeping their employees working.
- 22:31Speaker 1: The team came together to repaint, remodel, and even help
- 22:34Speaker 1: choose the new slogan, Fix Your Craving. The owners say
- 22:38Speaker 1: their goal is simple, serve great food and make sure
- 22:40Speaker 1: every customer leaves with a smile. And it's just a
- 22:43Speaker 1: good reminder here that sometimes the end of one chapter
- 22:46Speaker 1: can be the beginning.
- 22:47Speaker 2: Of something even better.
- 22:49Speaker 1: So congratulations to those two on just keeping it, keep
- 22:53Speaker 1: pushing forward. You know, life throws you curveball. Sometimes you
- 22:56Speaker 1: just gotta adjust a little bit.
- 22:57Speaker 3: I love that.
- 22:58Speaker 1: And if you've never heard this, this is my favorite quote.
- 23:00Speaker 1: We end the show with this. Every single day. Broken Crans,
- 23:03Speaker 1: they still color and the world is full of nice people.
- 23:06Speaker 1: If you can't find one, you gotta be one.
