- 1:38Brett Keene show. Today we're going to be doing a
- 1:42video to a fella by the name of Warren Smith.
- 1:45I've watched quite a few of his videos.
- 1:47This is not meant to be a pawnage or an ownage video but I
- 1:51will admit the video was kind of annoying and I felt like it was
- 1:55nonsense. I felt like I was watching a
- 1:57long winded Jordan Peterson who likes to do what is that?
- 2:03What do they call that? Solid, solid thoughts.
- 2:06Or when people are just babbling incoherent bullshit and
- 2:10everything that has nothing to do with the actual question or
- 2:13the topic and all that. And unfortunately, I'm going to
- 2:16have you all sit through it right now.
- 2:19Now, I don't normally do reaction videos.
- 2:21I noticed that most people do it whenever they're trying to slap
- 2:24other people around or be ignorant or do personal attacks.
- 2:28That's not what I'm here for. I'm just going to deal with the
- 2:32philosophy and the theological level of this and that's it.
- 2:35Period. When?
- 2:39Was the last time you had a conversation like this with
- 2:41anyone besides like your family I.
- 2:43Don't think I've ever. I think it's a very easy
- 2:47question. Do you believe the?
- 2:51Existence of a higher being. Now, did you hear that?
- 2:58The question right off the bat is do you believe in the
- 3:01existence of a higher being? Obviously he's talking about a
- 3:05prime mover, a God, a creator, the universe, a intelligent
- 3:10designer that created all existence in life.
- 3:13That was the question. But listen to the babbling
- 3:16bullshit that you're about to listen to here.
- 3:18I think that I repetitively said that.
- 3:21My apologies. Perhaps.
- 3:26Could the divine purpose be that elusive ideal that you're
- 3:32striving for because you need a target to hit, you need
- 3:34something to throw darts at, a goal to head towards, A reason
- 3:38to to not make the easy decision, but make the hard
- 3:43decision? It seems to me, ladies and
- 3:48gentlemen, that there's only a couple different options in all
- 3:51of this. You can be an atheist and you
- 3:54can state that we come from inanimate objects.
- 3:57That we randomly got here because some shit slammed into
- 4:01each other out in space and then ended up making this Big Blue
- 4:05ball. And then we came out of
- 4:07inanimate matter that it was basically defined as dead.
- 4:11And here we are just fucking goo that came out of rocks and
- 4:15somehow started growing arms and legs over billions of years and
- 4:18then started babbling and making fucking Google videos that make
- 4:22no coherent sense whatsoever. Or the other option is that you
- 4:27can believe that there was a life form that actually existed
- 4:30outside of space-time, and matter that ended up using its
- 4:34own essence in order to create the universe, create existence
- 4:37itself. Or you could believe there's a
- 4:39lot of gods. You could believe that there's a
- 4:41lot of prime movers. Those type of people are usually
- 4:44called Hindus and pagans. Christians usually believe in
- 4:48one God, but they do acknowledge that other deities are spoken of
- 4:51in the Bible. It's a complex matter for sure
- 4:55whenever it comes to that, but besides this, either we got here
- 4:59through intelligence and there's a conscious being who's aware of
- 5:03our existence or created us or nothing.
- 5:06Or you can just be a punk ass agnostic where you sit on the
- 5:09fence and ride it and just give responses to whatever is
- 5:13convenient for you because you can't commit to shit.
- 5:16Here we go. For the benefit of a for the
- 5:22long term, you hear that all the time.
- 5:24The goal of life is to be happy. Yeah.
- 5:28I think it is. So if go, if the goal of life is
- 5:31to be happy, could you not follow that logic and say go
- 5:34indulge right now? Why not just go do drugs?
- 5:41Just go out and do drugs in order to indulge and be happy.
- 5:47I can't remember the last time I've ever actually heard of drug
- 5:50addicts or junkies being happy about their life.
- 5:54I mean usually fucking idiots like that who do drugs, they do
- 5:58it because they want to not be in reality anymore.
- 6:03They want to stimulate their body so they don't have to deal
- 6:06with the devoid of darkness before them.
- 6:09And usually people when they get addicted to drugs, it's
- 6:13definitely the very opposite of happiness for them.
- 6:16They either fucking die, they lose their job, they lose their
- 6:20family, they end up losing everything.
- 6:22There's nothing really, really objectively good at all about
- 6:26fucking indulging yourself and anything.
- 6:30I mean, when it comes to eating food, drinking caffeine, doing
- 6:35anything alcohol, if you're not moderate about it and you just
- 6:39keep on fucking indulging, you end up killing yourself.
- 6:42So I don't understand the point of Mr. Warren Smith here.
- 6:48That would make you a lot happier.
- 6:52Because it's objectively bad for you.
- 6:56For your health. Yes, for your.
- 7:00But you're going to be happier and.
- 7:05You know Warren, I'm not trying to be cold blooded and I made a
- 7:09commitment before even starting this video.
- 7:11That was when hate on you, but it doesn't objectively make you
- 7:16happy. The whoever the guy is in the
- 7:19back actually sounds as though he understands that it's
- 7:25objectively bad. It's a horrible ordeal to do.
- 7:31Any kind of drugs or alcohol, any kind of drugs whatsoever
- 7:34does not lead to any form of happiness.
- 7:37They say the road to hell is paved in gold so I don't know
- 7:41what the fuck you're getting at. And #2 my other issue is is why
- 7:45do you call yourself the secret scholar society?
- 7:48Why are the these non believers who come on the Internet who
- 7:53probably didn't even touch a damn textbook or even been
- 7:57through college, act like there's some kind of like Bible
- 8:00scholar or some kind of scientist or or philosopher who
- 8:05knows all this great shit? Warren, I'm not trying to be
- 8:08cold to you, but I've listened to people for over 20 years on
- 8:12the Internet and I've seen a lot of frauds, I've seen scammers,
- 8:15I've seen bullshitters. And a lot of people on the
- 8:18Internet like to pretend they're a lot smarter than what they
- 8:21actually are. I know Jordan Peterson likes to
- 8:24do that, and every once in a while he'll say something
- 8:26clever. But we usually think what he
- 8:29says is clever because we're already fucking thinking it, or
- 8:32already thought of it 100 times, and we just like to hear it when
- 8:35our own words are being fucking repeated by someone who's
- 8:39actually got some clout. In the moment.
- 8:44But it's subjectively bad. How do you does not serve my
- 8:48well-being or my close one's well-being?
- 8:54Your close one's well-being so there is, right?
- 8:59But I don't need that is also an objective, the aspect of our.
- 9:06Life so you're so you're so it's not just about your happiness in
- 9:11that example, it's about your loved 1's.
- 9:14Well-being. Because that is tied to my
- 9:15happiness, right? Not always something.
- 9:21So I can't speak for everybody else.
- 9:24Islam seems about conquering the world alongside communist,
- 9:28socialist, atheist. But as far as Christianity,
- 9:32Christianity is taught to benefit humanity.
- 9:36It's taught to build and create our our God actually created us
- 9:40in his image, and he's a creator.
- 9:43He's constructive and he wants positive benefit for all of
- 9:46humanity. Humanity, if we were to do as
- 9:50Jesus said, do unto others as we went down unto ourselves, love
- 9:54our neighbor, and do all these different statutes and mandates
- 9:58of Jesus Christ pointed forth, the world would objectively be
- 10:02better. We wouldn't have rape, We
- 10:04wouldn't have slavery, We wouldn't have murder.
- 10:06I mean, you got the 10 commandments laid down.
- 10:08If you follow Jesus as golden Rule, it's as if you're keeping
- 10:12all of them if you were to do as Christ said, which is one of the
- 10:17reasons why he's considered the great teacher and God himself.
- 10:21He's considered the man who was willing to give up his existence
- 10:27in life for humanity to show us how much he loved us and how
- 10:31much he cared about us as a father would.
- 10:34The greatest thing that a parent can do is to actually give up
- 10:38their life for those they love or their child.
- 10:41It's the ultimate sacrifice, and it's even a form of altruism
- 10:45because why do it? What can man give to God that
- 10:49God hasn't already given us? So if you miss the point of
- 10:54that, Warren, I don't know what to tell you.
- 10:56I don't understand why you instead of looking towards
- 11:01religious passages where it's clearly objectively beneficial
- 11:06for all of humanity, you go straight into, oh, why don't we
- 11:11just do drugs because they'll make us feel good.
- 11:14I mean, what's next? Why don't we just go out and
- 11:16rape people? Why don't we just go out and
- 11:17kill people? Why don't we go do this because
- 11:20it'll make us feel good? Is Warren Smith or a a fucking
- 11:26what are they called? Nihilist.
- 11:28You know, a nihilist with apathy.
- 11:31Nothing has meaning or purpose. Kind of bullshit.
- 11:34God loved going down those rabbit holes.
- 11:39You know that's your decision. That's.
- 11:40Not my decision, it's my. How many people have kids that
- 11:44they abandoned? It's these are realities that
- 11:49we. Objective truths, right They're.
- 11:52They're objective truths, right? Objective truths are rejected.
- 11:58Now take a look at the title of the video.
- 12:00It asks do you believe in God? What the fuck does parents
- 12:04abandoning their children have to do with faith and
- 12:07Christianity? Oh I I get it.
- 12:09The atheist is probably going to say how?
- 12:12Well God doesn't interact in my life or engage me in any kind of
- 12:16way so he must have abandoned me or doesn't exist.
- 12:20Oh jeez, how many times we heard this horse yet?
- 12:26The truth? Following that logic though, can
- 12:28you acknowledge that there's so much that we do not know of?
- 12:32Course there is. About what happens after we die.
- 12:35Experiences near death. Experience of people who had
- 12:39psychedelic trips, mathematical breakthroughs, things that
- 12:45Tesla's claimed these remarkable how the pyramids were built.
- 12:51Ancient civilizations with technology that we can't even
- 12:53begin to comprehend. Give me an example.
- 12:58Of how how the pyramids? Are built with sheer human
- 13:01sacrifice, like many other benefices in history.
- 13:06So you know how the pyramids were built.
- 13:07I mean, and I'm not an expert on pyramids, but to acknowledge
- 13:11that there's still we know so little about the human mind and
- 13:16how it actually function. Right, right.
- 13:21So we don't know this and we don't know that we don't know
- 13:25that. So I don't know what this has to
- 13:27do with the answer of do you believe this is not a question
- 13:32of asking someone if they know for sure they know 100% or they
- 13:36know if something's objectively true.
- 13:38He's simply being asked, do you believe in a higher power or
- 13:42not? The concept of God, why can't he
- 13:45just answer that? Why does it have to drone on and
- 13:48on and on? Who gives a fuck about the
- 13:51pyramids? Some people think aliens did it,
- 13:54Other people think that civilization may have been more
- 13:57advanced. Well the question is, where the
- 14:00fuck did they get their imagination to even do anything
- 14:02they did? If they were truly advanced at
- 14:05all, why is it that we even have a consciousness?
- 14:09The fact that we don't know a lot of things, which should
- 14:11bring us to humility where we say, hey, some things we're just
- 14:16going to have to believe in. Some things we're going to have
- 14:19to not take for granted. Sometimes we got to look
- 14:22internally into ourselves and say, hey, there's more to what
- 14:26is going on than meets the eye. And it makes a lot more sense to
- 14:30say that there may be something as opposed to nothing at all.
- 14:35I mean, anybody can sit around and go nothing, nothing,
- 14:37nothing, nothing. You know why they call people
- 14:40freethinkers? Because no one would actually
- 14:43give a fucking penny for their thoughts, period.
- 14:46If we just sit around all day and just say, I don't know, I
- 14:49don't know. You know, every scientist in the
- 14:51world, every person who's ever created or invented anything has
- 14:57faith. You have to believe in yourself,
- 15:00and you have to believe that what you're putting your
- 15:02thoughts and committing your time to will actually result to
- 15:06something. And that's how faith in God
- 15:08works. You have to commit to it.
- 15:11You have to commit to your beliefs and your views.
- 15:14And everyone at the end of the day, hopes for some kind of
- 15:18outcome, some kind of point to it.
- 15:21Now, I'm not saying everybody's always going to get what they
- 15:23want and not everybody's going to get every answer that they're
- 15:26looking for, but at least keep open minded.
- 15:30At least keep open minded that there's more than just this.
- 15:34Because if we go along with the atheists and the agnostics and
- 15:37we're pretty much meat bags determined, we have no free
- 15:41will. We're just chemical stimulated
- 15:43by our environment. We're basically floating on a
- 15:47blue ball that is nothing more than a graveyard that is waiting
- 15:51to crash into something are are being ploded on by the universe.
- 15:56A cold, horrible fucking death and every accomplishment that
- 16:00humanity's ever done, ever done. No matter how smart you are, no
- 16:05matter how you've impacted the world, it's all going to be not
- 16:09even a memory, not even an echo of existence.
- 16:14So you have a choice. You can either believe in
- 16:17yourself and believe that there's greater things that
- 16:19exist in the universe, or you can believe in nothing and just
- 16:23go about your business. Pretending that ignorance is
- 16:25bliss, Pretending that yeah, I'm just going to die and everybody
- 16:30I love and care about is going to die.
- 16:32What's the fucking point? What's the meaning?
- 16:35The problem with people who have this type of psychology or this
- 16:38type of mentality is they start showing symptoms of being a
- 16:44psychopath or sociopath. If you don't believe in things
- 16:48and you don't strive to do better in your life or hold on
- 16:52to some kind of mental, spiritual and physical target,
- 16:57you become like Stalin. You become one of these people
- 17:00who don't believe in objective morals.
- 17:03Everything is a trade off. Everything is what makes me
- 17:07happy. Which leads to oh what if
- 17:10someone wants to kill? What if someone wants to hurt?
- 17:13What if someone wants to rape or enslave people and all that.
- 17:16Who's going to say it's wrong? Who's going to say it's
- 17:20objectively wrong? People are going to argue it's
- 17:24just your opinion. Either way, happiness doesn't
- 17:28really have a meaning or purpose.
- 17:30It's just a dopamine effect, just a chemical stimulant.
- 17:35Well, if that's what makes you happy, you know, I've heard
- 17:38countless people say I don't need the Bible in order to be a
- 17:41morally good person. Well, that's not what history
- 17:45says. History shows us that people who
- 17:47don't have a a focus on something, some shit's going to
- 17:52go wrong. One last thing, too.
- 17:55Some people say, yeah, but there's people who do believe,
- 17:58who do horrible things. But just because someone claims
- 18:01to believe in something, it doesn't necessarily mean that
- 18:04they're actually committed to it either.
- 18:06There's plenty of people out there who say they believe in
- 18:09God, and they've never even read the Bible in their life.
- 18:12There's people who say that they believe in Jesus and they care
- 18:17about him, but they would sell him out in a heartbeat.
- 18:19Hell, even in the Bible, humans sold out the truth.
- 18:23So it is what it is. Spoiler alert ladies and
- 18:27gentlemen. I'm not going through the whole
- 18:29video because he never actually gets into anything.
- 18:32There's no answer to it. He just flops back and forth and
- 18:36we're left with basically emptiness and void and no
- 18:40fucking human answers, no spiritual answers, nothing
- 18:43philosophical or theological. It's like 2 toddlers trying to
- 18:47play hide and seek and try to figure out what's behind the
- 18:50corner. It's a fucking waste of time.
- 18:53So sorry for wasting your time ladies and gentlemen, but I
- 18:57decided to use the video as a podium in order to talk about
- 19:00some of my views. Period.
