- 0:00Speaker 1: You just heard the news.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Now you'll find out what it all means.
- 0:05Speaker 1: He smart simone on seven tenor.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Hey it's Friday, that's a good news. It's October. It's
- 0:14Speaker 2: okay news. Yankees win, they'll begin tomorrow the playoffs. That's
- 0:18Speaker 2: great news. We'll get to the shutdown. We'll get to
- 0:21Speaker 2: the Yankees. We'll get to Andrew Cuomo, even Democrats making
- 0:25Speaker 2: fun of his latest ad. We'll get to Mom Donnie
- 0:28Speaker 2: and his words. They're calling him word salads. They're more
- 0:31Speaker 2: like word jumbles. And we'll get to Cracker Barrel. And
- 0:35Speaker 2: we'll get to President Trump, some interesting developments, what he
- 0:39Speaker 2: may be up to next, let's see, I mean yeah, okay,
- 0:45Speaker 2: Sean Diddy Combs is about to be sentenced. No, nothing yet.
- 0:51Speaker 2: The sentence hearing is taking place now. He's going to
- 0:55Speaker 2: get sentenced at some point this morning. Prosecutors want eleven years.
- 1:01Speaker 2: He wants time served, which is fourteen months. If you
- 1:05Speaker 2: ask those criminal lawyers that do these cases all the time,
- 1:08Speaker 2: they're betting four years five years will be the sentence.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Diddy wrote a long letter to the judge, begging for mercy, apologizing,
- 1:17Speaker 2: saying he's sorry a thousand different ways. So we'll bring
- 1:20Speaker 2: you that news. Apparently nothing is happening yet. It'll be
- 1:24Speaker 2: a while before they get a sentence. Now, apparently it
- 1:30Speaker 2: was worse than a Taylor Swift line of the concert line.
- 1:33Speaker 2: There were people camping out for two days to get
- 1:36Speaker 2: into this courtroom for the Sean Ditty sentencing. You know,
- 1:39Speaker 2: they got those professional placeholders. You can pay them to
- 1:42Speaker 2: wait in line for you to camp out on the sidewalk.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Although it's not like the old camping out on the
- 1:47Speaker 2: sidewalk with a sleeping bag.
- 1:49Speaker 1: This is.
- 1:49Speaker 2: They bring tents, they got you know, chargers for the phones,
- 1:54Speaker 2: they've got TV, they got everything there, they got smartphones,
- 1:57Speaker 2: they got everything going on. So it'll happen at some
- 2:01Speaker 2: point this morning. So here's real quickly the shutdown. Here's
- 2:05Speaker 2: the problem. It's supposed to be a vote today at
- 2:07Speaker 2: eleven am. It's expected that the vote will not succeed
- 2:11Speaker 2: to end the shutdown, and it'll go through the weekend
- 2:14Speaker 2: and there'll be a vote on Monday. They're hoping Monday
- 2:17Speaker 2: or Tuesday or Wednesday they'll get it settled. Now here's
- 2:22Speaker 2: the shutdown situation. If you're watching the crazy left wing networks,
- 2:27Speaker 2: if you're watching MSNBC or CNN, you'll see Hakeem Jeffreys
- 2:32Speaker 2: and Chuck Schumer on television. And all they keep telling
- 2:34Speaker 2: you is everybody is going to die this shut every
- 2:37Speaker 2: People are going to die, people are going to drop dead.
- 2:39Speaker 2: The planes are going to fallow this sky. This is
- 2:41Speaker 2: the biggest crisis ever. And now they're going on vacation
- 2:46Speaker 2: for a couple of days. Everybody's going to die. But
- 2:49Speaker 2: it's Friday. We gotta leave. Sorry, they're going They're all
- 2:52Speaker 2: going away for the weekend. They're taking the weekend off.
- 2:56Speaker 2: In a minor crisis, you'd probably work on Saturday, wouldn't you.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Major crisis, you'd work Saturday and Sunday. But everybody's gonna die,
- 3:04Speaker 2: and they're going away for the weekend. And many of
- 3:05Speaker 2: these Democrats are going down to Sea Island for some
- 3:08Speaker 2: sort of democratic conference, and they're getting criticized because it's
- 3:13Speaker 2: a very plush, lush, expensive five star resort, an oligarch
- 3:19Speaker 2: type of place. That's where the Democrats are holding this conference.
- 3:22Speaker 2: So if you're lucky, they'll come back. If they have time,
- 3:25Speaker 2: they might come back on Monday and continue the shutdown. Problem.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Part of the problem is you got two people leading
- 3:32Speaker 2: the Democrats, Schumer and Jeffries. Hakeem Jeffries. These are the
- 3:37Speaker 2: two worst spokespeople you could have if you want, And
- 3:40Speaker 2: the most important thing in a situation like this is
- 3:42Speaker 2: your messaging. You couldn't have worse messaging. Schumer is an old,
- 3:47Speaker 2: dried up, old dinosaur fossil from one hundred years ago.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Everybody just, you know, cringes when they look at this guy.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Jeffries is a younger guy, but he's a total stiff,
- 3:58Speaker 2: and he talks in he's so pious and ridiculous.
- 4:03Speaker 3: We'd assume, on myself, having gotten a single phone call
- 4:07Speaker 3: as it relates to a follow up conversation, we're ready
- 4:12Speaker 3: to have that conversation, but we need credible partners on
- 4:16Speaker 3: the other side of the owl.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Well, see that's a little change in tone. Yesterday was
- 4:21Speaker 2: everybody's gonna die and they won't budge. And he should
- 4:26Speaker 2: get one of those phones that can make outgoing calls.
- 4:28Speaker 2: That way, you don't have to just sit there and
- 4:29Speaker 2: wait for the calls, and said, the problem is nobody
- 4:32Speaker 2: knows what the hell these guys are talking about. We
- 4:34Speaker 2: love Mike Johnson doing a great cheb, but they don't
- 4:36Speaker 2: speak English, they said passionately, as recently as March of
- 4:39Speaker 2: this year, on the same instrument, the same z are
- 4:42Speaker 2: that it would be rapid. He knows what the hell
- 4:44Speaker 2: you're talking about with your instrument, your clean CR. Now
- 4:47Speaker 2: there's a continuing resolution, and there's a clean CR. Now
- 4:50Speaker 2: when you're watching television and you hear about this clean
- 4:52Speaker 2: the CR and it's a clean the resolution, nobody knows
- 4:56Speaker 2: what you're saying. Speak English, nobody knows what the hell
- 4:59Speaker 2: you're talking talking about. So we'll see what happens at
- 5:02Speaker 2: eleven am. Don't expect much. It'll probably go through the weekend.
- 5:04Speaker 2: But here's the problem. You got Schumer and Jeffreys, the
- 5:08Speaker 2: two worst messengers you could have. They're just disasters on TV.
- 5:12Speaker 2: They don't communicate at all. Other problems they're both from Brooklyn,
- 5:15Speaker 2: New York, which means all they hear from a left wing,
- 5:18Speaker 2: crazy left wing. The other problem is they haven't gone home.
- 5:23Speaker 2: None of these congress people have been home. We're meeting
- 5:26Speaker 2: the constituents. All they're hearing from is union special interests
- 5:30Speaker 2: and all these special interests yelling him, o cave don't
- 5:32Speaker 2: cave in, don't cave in. You need to hear from
- 5:35Speaker 2: the constituents, showing you that the line at the airport's
- 5:38Speaker 2: longer than ever because TSA had lay off some people,
- 5:42Speaker 2: or they're not picking up the crash or something. They're
- 5:44Speaker 2: not hearing from constituents anyway. Well, that's all there is
- 5:48Speaker 2: to know about the continuing resolution clean c are. Hey,
- 5:54Speaker 2: the Yankees big win last night. They start the playoffs
- 5:58Speaker 2: Toronto tomorrow four. That's great news. Andrew Cuomo getting a
- 6:06Speaker 2: lot of flak over this TV ad and weh he
- 6:08Speaker 2: told you about this yesterday. He finally started running a
- 6:11Speaker 2: TV commercial. Nobody knows if he's really campaigning or there's
- 6:13Speaker 2: an actual campaign. He still has not opened a campaign headquarters.
- 6:18Speaker 2: He doesn't do much. He'll do in one or two interviews,
- 6:21Speaker 2: but basically it's always a fluff you know, look, you know,
- 6:25Speaker 2: totally rigged interview, like ERL Lewis on New York One.
- 6:27Speaker 2: He always make sure it's somebody will never give him
- 6:29Speaker 2: a hard time or bring up anything bad. But he
- 6:32Speaker 2: finally put out a campaign ad. It looks very expensive.
- 6:37Speaker 2: It's not because it turns out it's all AI. But
- 6:39Speaker 2: the ad, as we described yesterday, shows him doing trying
- 6:45Speaker 2: to do different jobs. He goes, but, uh, I'm not
- 6:48Speaker 2: very good at That shows him trying to be a
- 6:49Speaker 2: trained engineer and not he can't do it. Then it
- 6:52Speaker 2: shows him trying to be a window washer. He's up
- 6:54Speaker 2: on a scaffolding, up on a skyscraper. He can't do it.
- 6:57Speaker 2: And all these different jobs it looks it really looks good.
- 7:01Speaker 2: It's all done by AI. And then he says, but
- 7:04Speaker 2: the only thing I can't do any of these JOm
- 7:06Speaker 2: I'm not good at it. The only thing I can
- 7:08Speaker 2: do is run a government. So this was the ad.
- 7:11Speaker 2: I'm watching the left wing shows last night. They're all
- 7:14Speaker 2: attacking him, even Colbert A ridiculing him, saying why would
- 7:18Speaker 2: you run an ad saying you stink at everything, you
- 7:20Speaker 2: don't know how to do anything, You're not competent to
- 7:22Speaker 2: do anything. And also a lot of the left wing
- 7:25Speaker 2: people pointing out what he's really saying is what we
- 7:28Speaker 2: all kind of knew. And the problem with him. I
- 7:32Speaker 2: can't go back into the world. I can't go back
- 7:34Speaker 2: into the private sector. Nobody will hire me. I can't
- 7:36Speaker 2: do a damn thing. The reason I'm back running again,
- 7:39Speaker 2: even though I quit in disgrace, is I don't fit
- 7:43Speaker 2: in anywhere else in the world. I think this is
- 7:44Speaker 2: this the ad. I'm Andrew Cuomo, and I could pretend
- 7:48Speaker 2: to do a lot of jobs.
- 7:50Speaker 1: But I know what I know, and I know what
- 7:52Speaker 1: I don't know, and I do know how to make
- 7:55Speaker 1: government work. I'll hire five thousand new cops, the partner.
- 7:59Speaker 2: With low community groups and keep our family safe, and
- 8:03Speaker 2: we'll get the homeless off the streets and into the
- 8:06Speaker 2: help they desperately need.
- 8:09Speaker 1: There are a lot of jobs I can't do, but
- 8:12Speaker 1: I'm ready to be your mayor on day one.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Okay, but you know I'll hire five thousand new cops.
- 8:19Speaker 2: He's the guy that just when he was governor, he
- 8:21Speaker 2: got rid of cops. He defunded cops, he cut down
- 8:23Speaker 2: on the cops. He closed the prisons and let the
- 8:26Speaker 2: prisoners out. He passed he passed that no bail, no jail,
- 8:29Speaker 2: let all the criminals loose. He took away qualified immunity
- 8:33Speaker 2: from the cops, he took away overtime, and he was
- 8:35Speaker 2: just horrible with cops. So that's the ad. You know,
- 8:39Speaker 2: they keep saying, if Mom Donnie wins, people are gonna
- 8:41Speaker 2: leave New York. People are gonna move out. This is
- 8:43Speaker 2: the big thing. If Donnie wins, you won't believe how
- 8:46Speaker 2: many people leave and move well. Cuomo holds the record
- 8:49Speaker 2: for causing more people to leave and move out of
- 8:51Speaker 2: New York while he was governor, especially the pandemic the
- 8:54Speaker 2: way he bungled it up. More people fled New York
- 8:57Speaker 2: under Cuomo than any other any other pian. In fact,
- 9:01Speaker 2: so many people moved out of New York millions that
- 9:06Speaker 2: we lost four congressional seats under his watch. Because so
- 9:09Speaker 2: many we lost so much population, we lost four congressional seats.
- 9:13Speaker 2: There was a period of a year and a half
- 9:15Speaker 2: where you could not get a moving van under Cuoma.
- 9:18Speaker 2: There were so many people leaving, there was a shortage
- 9:20Speaker 2: of moving vans, and there was like a year wait
- 9:23Speaker 2: to get one. Curtis has been running ads. Here's a
- 9:26Speaker 2: Curtis Leeway add you can hear a woman screaming rapes
- 9:29Speaker 2: in broad daylight, attacks on the subway.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Why Cormo, We're gonna add the cash bell system once
- 9:35Speaker 3: and for all worst the soul on mom done.
- 9:37Speaker 1: He wants to go even further with them in charge.
- 9:40Speaker 1: You are not safe.
- 9:43Speaker 2: We deserve better.
- 9:44Speaker 3: I'm kurtish Slim, I'm asking for you vote for Man.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Together, we'll build back a shape or affordable m right.
- 9:54Speaker 2: It's not a bad ad and is a part of
- 9:57Speaker 2: the addy as the beret part of the Eddie doesn't
- 9:58Speaker 2: have the bret. A lot of people are got to
- 10:00Speaker 2: stop wearing the braka, stop worrying about the hat. That's
- 10:03Speaker 2: not a factor. It's not an issue in a camp.
- 10:05Speaker 2: It means absolutely nothing to anybody. Nobody's voting based on
- 10:09Speaker 2: a hat. Also bear in mind, as Jimmy Fayle to
- 10:12Speaker 2: point it out, a guy just got elected president wearing
- 10:15Speaker 2: a red hat. You can do it now. This race
- 10:18Speaker 2: will come down to a couple of things. Biggest thing
- 10:20Speaker 2: will be the debate October sixteenth, that could turn the
- 10:22Speaker 2: race around. Cuomo could get wiped out there. He's a
- 10:25Speaker 2: bad debater. He looks awful in debates. Mam Donnie's good.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Curtis is great. They could wipe out Cuomo in the debate.
- 10:32Speaker 2: But the debate could be a turning point in the race.
- 10:35Speaker 2: But here's the main factor. This race will be about turnout.
- 10:39Speaker 2: If there's big turnout, Mam Donnie probably won't win. If
- 10:43Speaker 2: there is that turnout that we've had the last few years,
- 10:45Speaker 2: you know, twenty percent, twenty two percent turnout. That's how
- 10:49Speaker 2: Deblasio got in. There was just no turnout. The only
- 10:52Speaker 2: people that showed up were the crazy young radicals. If
- 10:55Speaker 2: it's twenty percent turnout, yeah it favors Mom Donnie. But
- 11:00Speaker 2: if we go back to the old days with eighty
- 11:02Speaker 2: percent turnout, that's how we You know, Republicans won five
- 11:05Speaker 2: of the last mayoral races, five of the last eight,
- 11:08Speaker 2: and that's how Giuliani won. All of a sudden, people
- 11:10Speaker 2: are fed up, and there was and the polls didn't
- 11:12Speaker 2: show it happening, but there was all of a sudden
- 11:14Speaker 2: big turnout. So a big turnout, and Mom Donnie loses.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Now he's being very cautious now when asking when he's
- 11:22Speaker 2: doing interviews, people are calling these word salads. What Kamala
- 11:26Speaker 2: does is a word salad. And she was so silly
- 11:29Speaker 2: and dumb and stupid and inarticulate that she just gives
- 11:33Speaker 2: a word solid an answer. Mom Donnie is very shrewd
- 11:36Speaker 2: and smart, so it sounds like a word salut. But
- 11:38Speaker 2: he's doing it deliberately. He's very carefully talking a lot
- 11:43Speaker 2: without saying anything. So if you listen to his answers,
- 11:45Speaker 2: you don't know what the hell he's saying.
- 11:47Speaker 1: I think New Yorkers deserved leadership that is looking to
- 11:50Speaker 1: be thoughtful as opposed to leadership that is just trying
- 11:54Speaker 1: to engage in the discourse of our politics. And I
- 11:57Speaker 1: think that's it's part of what I'm trying to bring
- 12:01Speaker 1: to our politics is a reflection of what I see
- 12:04Speaker 1: in New Yorkers as opposed to what I see in
- 12:05Speaker 1: the people who passed for our leaders Yeah.
- 12:07Speaker 2: See, it sounds good, but he deliberately not saying any
- 12:10Speaker 2: Nobody knows what the helly just said that we don't want.
- 12:14Speaker 2: It's not about being thoughtful, it's about engaging with reflection.
- 12:18Speaker 2: It's a little thoughtful, not too thoughtful, more engagement than thoughtful.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Nobody knows what he means or what he's saying. So well,
- 12:27Speaker 2: we'll get back to the marrow racing a little while now. Hey,
- 12:30Speaker 2: Cracker Barrel fired the marketing company. You know, I was
- 12:35Speaker 2: talking about this yesterday. These marketing companies are really bad,
- 12:38Speaker 2: some of these marketing companies. There's some good ones, but
- 12:40Speaker 2: there's some really bad ones. And the biggest corporations hire
- 12:44Speaker 2: these marketing companies and there to do the rebrand and
- 12:49Speaker 2: to you know, redesign new love and some of them
- 12:52Speaker 2: are disasters. And the one that Cracker Barrel hired was
- 12:55Speaker 2: a total disaster. It's a company called Profit total disaster.
- 13:00Speaker 2: They came up with the new menu, the new decorps
- 13:03Speaker 2: for the restaurants, the new logo, the new this, the
- 13:06Speaker 2: new that. It was a complete disaster. It was all
- 13:10Speaker 2: so awful. Cracker Barrel lost one hundred and forty million
- 13:14Speaker 2: dollars in value. One hundred and forty million in value. Now,
- 13:20Speaker 2: I don't know what took them so long, but they
- 13:21Speaker 2: finally fired this company. The company's going and this is
- 13:25Speaker 2: also the company put in the DEI hiring, the this,
- 13:27Speaker 2: the that, all of that stuff. Hey, oh, Donald Trump
- 13:32Speaker 2: apparently when he was up here for the Ryder Cup
- 13:35Speaker 2: met with some high ranking not CBS, but the parent company.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Negotiations are taking place for Donald Trump to possibly do
- 13:45Speaker 2: a sixty minutes interview. Now sixty minutes is the most awful,
- 13:51Speaker 2: corrupt show, totally slanted biased, not just the questions the
- 13:55Speaker 2: way they run the interview, but they'll actually doctor up
- 13:58Speaker 2: the video to slant things, to mislead. They'll doctor up
- 14:02Speaker 2: the interviews in the video that got caught doing it
- 14:04Speaker 2: with Kamala Harris. It was so obvious they were trying
- 14:08Speaker 2: to interfere with the election. They doctored up her video
- 14:11Speaker 2: so much that they ended up having to pay a
- 14:13Speaker 2: settlement of about thirty million to Donald Trump. That's how
- 14:17Speaker 2: bad it was. So negotiations are taking place for Trump
- 14:20Speaker 2: to do an interview with sixty minutes. I don't know
- 14:23Speaker 2: why he's even bothering. Nobody watches it anymore. It's not
- 14:25Speaker 2: that big an audience. It doesn't mean much, but Trump
- 14:29Speaker 2: negotiating for certain things. The video or the interview will
- 14:32Speaker 2: have to run absolutely unedited, no edits at all allowed.
- 14:37Speaker 2: He's agreed to Bill Whittaker to do it, and knowing him,
- 14:42Speaker 2: he's very smart, he'll figure out what night he wants
- 14:45Speaker 2: it on. Sixty minutes doesn't have a lot of viewers anymore.
- 14:48Speaker 2: Used to be the number one show in television, used
- 14:49Speaker 2: to get sixty million people, gets nothing now. But the
- 14:53Speaker 2: only time is it gets any ratings if it's on
- 14:55Speaker 2: after a big, huge game. So if it's a really
- 14:58Speaker 2: important football game or the mass or something like that,
- 15:00Speaker 2: when it ends, it goes right to sixteen minutes. So
- 15:03Speaker 2: Trump will pick one of those nights. So hey, we
- 15:06Speaker 2: got a lot coming up and we'll take some calls.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Next eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is
- 15:11Speaker 2: the number. Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten
