Speaker 1: Welcome to Dirty Rush, the truth about sorority life, with
• 0:04
Speaker 1: your hosts, me, Gia Giudice.
• 0:06
Speaker 2: Daisy Kent, and Jennifer Fessler.
• 0:12
Speaker 3: Welcome back to another episode of Dirty Rush. Today, I
• 0:15
Speaker 3: am joined by Amy Sugarman, and we're really excited to
• 0:19
Speaker 3: talk to Evie and Margo and Stassi, who joined Amy
• 0:22
Speaker 3: during Kappa Palooza. Okay, I'm really jealous. I did not
• 0:25
  Speaker 3: make the.
• 0:26
Speaker 2: Name up, but is that not the best name?
• 0:29
Speaker 3: It's the best name. I'm really jealous because as you know,
• 0:33
Speaker 3: I was in a sorority and I have tried, my
• 0:36
Speaker 3: sorority sisters and I have tried so much. Every single
• 0:40
Speaker 3: year we try to get together and it's impossible with everything. No,
• 0:44
  Speaker 3: I get it.
• 0:44
Speaker 2: I get it. We had tried.
• 0:45
Speaker 4: This was probably the third real try we made and
• 0:49
  Speaker 4: it finally happened.
• 0:50
Speaker 2: Wait, what house were you in again?
• 0:52
  Speaker 3: Alpha Chi.
• 0:53
Speaker 2: Oh, Alpha Chi Omega?
• 0:55
  Speaker 3: Yeah, at Indiana.
• 0:56
Speaker 2: But you guys called it Alpha Chi where we call
• 0:58
  Speaker 2: it A-Chi-O.
• 0:59
Speaker 3: Or you can call it AKL.
• 1:01
  Speaker 4: Okay.
• 1:01
  Speaker 3: Either or.
• 1:02
Speaker 4: So basically what happened, and you were just talking about
• 1:05
Speaker 4: Parents Weekend in the previous episode.
• 1:07
  Speaker 5: Yep.
• 1:08
Speaker 4: So this was loosely, the date was sort of loosely
• 1:12
Speaker 4: tied to Parents Weekend. So we had tried, so I
• 1:15
Speaker 4: was a Kappa in the 90s at Cal. So, and
• 1:20
Speaker 4: I'm still good friends with a lot of my sorority sisters,
• 1:24
Speaker 4: both before I got there and after. So our reunion spanned,
• 1:30
Speaker 4: I think, 12 years. So from the youngest person to
• 1:34
  Speaker 4: the oldest person.
• 1:35
Speaker 3: It wasn't just your pledge class.
• 1:37
  Speaker 4: No.
• 1:38
  Speaker 2: Wow.
• 1:39
Speaker 3: How did that happen?
• 1:40
Speaker 2: I'll tell you. I'll tell you.
• 1:42
Speaker 4: So we had tried a few years. We really sort
• 1:46
Speaker 4: of tried last year and couldn't. There was sort of
• 1:49
Speaker 4: a core group. And then the date wouldn't work. That's
• 1:52
Speaker 4: always the problem. So this year, and I think we
• 1:55
Speaker 4: had sort of lightly tried before. We had done it
• 1:57
Speaker 4: for a few years where maybe 10 people went to
• 2:00
  Speaker 4: a football game.
• 2:01
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 2:02
Speaker 4: So this year we're like, all right, we're doing it.
• 2:06
Speaker 4: So it started with like a core group of maybe like,
• 2:09
Speaker 4: I don't know, eight or nine on the text.
• 2:12
Speaker 2: And we just picked a date.
• 2:14
Speaker 4: Now the Parents Weekend thing was a great idea, except
• 2:17
Speaker 4: also a flaw, because a lot of these.
• 2:20
Speaker 2: Girls have sons or daughters at Cal.
• 2:24
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 2:25
Speaker 2: So they couldn't participate.
• 2:27
  Speaker 3: Got it.
• 2:28
Speaker 4: Like, one of our, like, core, core people that was
• 2:29
Speaker 4: in the planning couldn't even go because she was at
• 2:32
Speaker 4: SAE with her son, right?
• 2:34
  Speaker 3: Right.
• 2:34
Speaker 2: So that, we did lose a.
• 2:36
Speaker 4: Handful, maybe 10 people because of that. So we ended
• 2:40
Speaker 4: up with, I think, 40, but we probably would have
• 2:42
  Speaker 4: been at 50.
• 2:43
  Speaker 3: Right.
• 2:44
Speaker 4: The funniest thing, though, is that the boys, I don't
• 2:47
Speaker 4: know why they didn't show up. Because the whole point
• 2:50
Speaker 4: was it was supposed to be the girls, but we
• 2:52
Speaker 4: wanted it to have boys, like our guy friends.
• 2:55
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 2:57
  Speaker 6: Four guys.
• 2:58
  Speaker 3: Four? That's a fail.
• 3:00
  Speaker 2: 40 girls.
• 3:02
  Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
• 3:02
Speaker 2: And really, it was like husbands.
• 3:04
Speaker 3: Why do you think nobody came?
• 3:06
Speaker 4: I think that boys, I think that they didn't get it.
• 3:08
Speaker 4: I think that they were like, this is a girl reunion.
• 3:12
Speaker 3: Oh, okay. Because it was called Kappa Palooza.
• 3:15
Speaker 2: Well, that name came later. It's the invite. I can
• 3:18
Speaker 2: read you what the invite said. And maybe they just
• 3:20
  Speaker 2: got scared.
• 3:21
Speaker 3: I love that you made an invite. Oh, yes.
• 3:23
Speaker 2: Somebody on our team. I think somebody that works with us.
• 3:25
Speaker 2: I was like, hey, can you just make this invite?
• 3:28
Speaker 2: So we made an invite and it just says, you're invited.
• 3:31
Speaker 4: Kappa Kappa Gamma Party.
• 3:36
Speaker 2: That's all it says. Friday, October 9th, 630. The lounge.
• 3:39
Speaker 4: All right. And so I think that the boys maybe
• 3:43
Speaker 4: thought like we were telling them, but we weren't really inviting.
• 3:45
  Speaker 2: I don't know.
• 3:46
Speaker 4: Next time, we want to make it like cowboys and girls.
• 3:52
Speaker 4: And like spouses are welcome.
• 3:53
  Speaker 3: I don't know.
• 3:54
Speaker 2: Maybe like, I don't know. I don't even want to say.
• 3:57
Speaker 4: But maybe boys are like more, they do their boy things. Now,
• 4:01
Speaker 4: this was what inspired it. Our guy friends do it
• 4:04
Speaker 4: every year. Now, it's not 50 people, but they do
• 4:07
Speaker 4: like a 10- to hundred person one every year at SAE.
• 4:13
Speaker 4: They have like duck dinner. And I don't know if
• 4:15
Speaker 4: that's every SAE or if it's just Cal SAE and
• 4:18
Speaker 4: like all the alumni go.
• 4:20
Speaker 3: That's so fun. I mean, I have never even heard
• 4:23
Speaker 3: of this. Like when you first mentioned Capapalooza, like I said,
• 4:26
Speaker 3: I thought it was just your sorority sisters, like your
• 4:29
Speaker 3: pledge class, but it's like a reunion for your sorority.
• 4:32
Speaker 2: It was a full reunion.
• 4:33
Speaker 4: So the youngest person was, I was in the middle, right?
• 4:38
Speaker 4: So I'm- I graduated high school in 92 and college
• 4:41
Speaker 4: in 96. The youngest person was probably five or six
• 4:45
Speaker 4: years younger than me. And then the oldest person there
• 4:48
Speaker 4: was about six years older than me. I knew her well,
• 4:51
Speaker 4: but she wasn't that Cal when I was there. So
• 4:54
Speaker 4: I knew her because she married like a childhood friend
• 4:57
Speaker 4: and she was my diving coach and blah, blah, blah.
• 5:00
Speaker 2: So the wild part, I guess we better explain this
• 5:04
  Speaker 2: because people don't.
• 5:08
Speaker 3: That would be helpful.
• 5:10
  Speaker 2: So basically what.
• 5:10
Speaker 4: We did is we wanted to throw a sorority reunion.
• 5:14
Speaker 4: And like you hear it talked about, right? Like, especially
• 5:17
Speaker 4: with the guys, like we said, they do it all
• 5:19
Speaker 4: the time, but I think girls do do it. Like
• 5:21
Speaker 4: one of our friends, they do one every year, but
• 5:23
Speaker 4: it's only eight people and they go on a trip somewhere.
• 5:27
  Speaker 3: Yes, exactly.
• 5:28
  Speaker 2: Exactly.
• 5:28
Speaker 3: That's kind of what I was saying. Like our sorority sisters,
• 5:31
Speaker 3: we've talked about going to visit one of the friends
• 5:33
Speaker 3: in Hilton Head or going to visit one of the
• 5:35
Speaker 3: friends in Michigan or whatever. And it just never happens.
• 5:38
Speaker 3: But I feel like an Alpha Chi sorority reunion would
• 5:44
Speaker 3: be even more amazing. Yes. I love that.
• 5:48
Speaker 4: So I will say that a couple people have to
• 5:51
Speaker 4: take the bull by the horns.
• 5:52
Speaker 2: Do you know what I'm saying? And there were like
• 5:54
Speaker 2: a few of us that were like, all right, we're
• 5:56
Speaker 2: going to make this happen. And then I will say.
• 6:00
Speaker 4: Like any good sorority party, The more people that said yes,
• 6:04
Speaker 4: the more people said yes. Like the cool kids realize like, oh,
• 6:09
Speaker 4: there's some cool kids going.
• 6:11
  Speaker 2: I better go.
• 6:11
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 6:12
  Speaker 3: Yep.
• 6:13
Speaker 4: I would say I have a few notes for next time.
• 6:16
Speaker 4: These were the flaws. And we're going to have the
• 6:18
Speaker 4: young girls on that like observed it all because I
• 6:20
Speaker 4: can't wait to hear what they said. The flaws were
• 6:23
Speaker 4: we did it at a country club, which was great
• 6:26
Speaker 4: because this is a little secret fact. Some country clubs
• 6:31
Speaker 4: are actually cheap. bar because yes, because they like, I
• 6:37
Speaker 4: don't know what the word is. They like want to
• 6:39
Speaker 4: work with their members. So like the drinks are cheaper,
• 6:41
Speaker 4: the food is cheaper. So that's why it was great.
• 6:45
Speaker 4: The problem was country clubs close at nine 30 and
• 6:48
Speaker 4: we push this to 10 and the security came and
• 6:52
Speaker 4: kicked us out. I think people would have stayed till
• 6:55
Speaker 4: at least 1130, maybe midnight. Yeah.
• 6:58
  Speaker 2: Like or longer.
• 6:59
  Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
• 7:00
Speaker 2: So that we have to fix.
• 7:03
Speaker 3: But did you feel like after the party was over,
• 7:05
Speaker 3: did you continue the party somewhere else or it was
• 7:08
  Speaker 3: just over?
• 7:08
Speaker 4: Like 10 people came back to my house, which I
• 7:10
Speaker 4: wasn't even like planning on, but I was like, I
• 7:12
Speaker 4: got to get these people out of this country club.
• 7:13
  Speaker 3: Right. Yeah.
• 7:15
Speaker 2: So, and it wasn't like a drunken fest.
• 7:17
Speaker 4: Like people were not like, it wasn't like that. People
• 7:20
Speaker 4: were drinking and then the food we did sorority inspired food.
• 7:27
  Speaker 3: Oh, fun.
• 7:27
  Speaker 2: Potato bar.
• 7:28
Speaker 3: Do you know what a potato bar is? I was
• 7:29
Speaker 3: just going to say like breadsticks and pizza.
• 7:33
Speaker 2: We did a potato bar. So you like get your
• 7:35
  Speaker 2: baked potato.
• 7:36
  Speaker 3: Yes.
• 7:36
Speaker 2: And then you like put your toppings on.
• 7:38
  Speaker 3: Yes.
• 7:38
Speaker 2: And then we did a slider bar. Because it's like
• 7:41
Speaker 2: kind of sorority-ish, right?
• 7:42
Speaker 3: Yes. Anyway, so. Oh, I feel like we had a
• 7:45
Speaker 3: potato bar in our sorority. Of course. Or something like that.
• 7:48
Speaker 3: We had a potato bar.
• 7:49
Speaker 2: And did you guys have burrito bar? That was the best.
• 7:51
Speaker 3: No, I'm sure not. But yeah, that's a good one too.
• 7:54
  Speaker 3: Oh my God.
• 7:55
Speaker 2: I remember- Any bar, exactly.
• 7:58
Speaker 4: I remember people, like, coming up and being like, it's
• 8:01
Speaker 4: burrito bar tonight. And you were like, if you were
• 8:03
Speaker 4: going to go out, you're like, oh, no, I'll just
• 8:05
Speaker 4: stay here. And you, like, invite the boys over.
• 8:08
Speaker 2: It's burrito bar. Oh, I'll come over.
• 8:11
Speaker 3: Do you feel like the party was pretty tame or
• 8:14
  Speaker 3: it got crazy?
• 8:17
Speaker 4: It was very tame but fun. It's hard for me
• 8:20
Speaker 4: because I, like, helped with the planning a little bit.
• 8:25
Speaker 4: So I– don't know if it was as fun because
• 8:28
Speaker 4: you know, when you're like a little bit helping plan,
• 8:31
  Speaker 4: you're like.
• 8:31
Speaker 2: Is this fun? I have no idea. It seemed like
• 8:34
Speaker 2: people were having fun. I don't know.
• 8:37
Speaker 4: But what was wild is how many people had not
• 8:41
Speaker 4: seen each other in 30 years and how many people
• 8:44
Speaker 4: didn't know each other.
• 8:45
Speaker 2: Because think about it.
• 8:46
Speaker 4: Like, Allie, who's the youngest and Jill, who was the oldest,
• 8:51
Speaker 4: had never even really met each other.
• 8:53
  Speaker 3: Right.
• 8:54
Speaker 2: Because they were not, they're 12 years apart.
• 8:56
Speaker 3: So. Oh no, how would they? Yeah. But a lot
• 8:59
  Speaker 3: of people.
• 8:59
Speaker 4: Met each other and most people recognized each other. There
• 9:02
Speaker 4: wasn't like a lot of like.
• 9:04
Speaker 3: Oh, I love it. I am so inspired. I want
• 9:09
Speaker 3: to do this next, whether, whether it's next year or,
• 9:12
Speaker 3: Cause I feel like the holidays we're coming up on
• 9:15
Speaker 3: the holidays. It's just going to be too crazy. Yeah.
• 9:17
  Speaker 2: You can't break.
• 9:18
  Speaker 3: It's too crazy.
• 9:19
Speaker 4: I feel like you could do it in spring, but
• 9:21
Speaker 4: the football season thing made it kind of like, because
• 9:24
Speaker 4: a few people went to the game the next day,
• 9:26
  Speaker 4: I'd say like of the 40 people, maybe 10, 12
• 9:29
Speaker 4: were at the game.
• 9:31
  Speaker 2: Some people. Okay.
• 9:32
Speaker 4: So someone flew in from Mexico. Someone flew in from
• 9:36
Speaker 4: New York. Um, a ton of people from Southern California, um,
• 9:40
Speaker 4: I think those were the furthest.
• 9:42
Speaker 2: A lot of people were local, but.
• 9:44
  Speaker 3: Okay.
• 9:45
  Speaker 5: Question.
• 9:45
Speaker 3: So you're saying that there are people flying in to
• 9:48
Speaker 3: come in for your reunion that are not parents and
• 9:50
Speaker 3: they're coming during parents weekend for our parents weekend at
• 9:53
Speaker 3: CU Boulder, the hotels hike up their prices by like
• 9:57
Speaker 3: thousands of dollars. You're staying at like a Hampton Inn
• 10:01
  Speaker 3: that normally is like $ 250 and it's actually $ 3, 500 for
• 10:05
  Speaker 3: the weekend.
• 10:06
Speaker 2: But you're thinking about the school.
• 10:08
Speaker 4: So Berkeley is the school, but like people can stay
• 10:11
Speaker 4: in San Francisco. They could stay in San Jose. They
• 10:15
Speaker 4: could stay in the East Bay. They could stay in Marin.
• 10:17
Speaker 2: Like you could just go.
• 10:19
Speaker 4: A little outside the city limits and you'd be fine.
• 10:23
Speaker 3: Or people crash with friends.
• 10:25
Speaker 4: Like I had three people staying at my house and
• 10:27
Speaker 4: then my neighbor, Molly, had three people staying at her house.
• 10:31
Speaker 3: True. Well, for Indiana, like for my sake, no one
• 10:35
Speaker 3: lives in Bloomington because it's a super tiny college town. Right.
• 10:39
Speaker 3: And like you fly in and really there's nowhere else
• 10:41
Speaker 3: to stay. Like just so doing it during parents weekend,
• 10:44
Speaker 3: I feel like for some colleges could be hectic and
• 10:47
Speaker 3: like too expensive, like cost prohibitive for some people to
• 10:51
  Speaker 3: fly in. Okay.
• 10:53
Speaker 4: So what's interesting is for us, because we went to Berkeley,
• 10:58
Speaker 4: it's a cool place to go, right?
• 11:00
Speaker 2: Like it's an easy place to go. I wonder for you,
• 11:04
Speaker 2: who went to school in Indiana. Is that right? Where
• 11:06
  Speaker 2: you went?
• 11:06
  Speaker 3: Yeah. Bloomington.
• 11:07
Speaker 4: If you should have your reunion in Indiana, or do
• 11:09
Speaker 4: you have your reunion in LA?
• 11:12
  Speaker 2: I don't know.
• 11:13
Speaker 3: Right, right, right. Or just in Indianapolis, you know, where
• 11:17
Speaker 3: there's tons of options for places to stay.
• 11:21
Speaker 2: Do most of your sorority sisters live now?
• 11:24
Speaker 3: I would say a majority are probably in Indy or
• 11:27
Speaker 3: Carmel or. All right.
• 11:28
Speaker 2: So then you do it in, you got to do
• 11:30
Speaker 2: it in, in Indiana then.
• 11:31
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 11:31
  Speaker 2: How about a Ben's house?
• 11:33
Speaker 3: Oh yeah, Ben, we're just going to nominate you to
• 11:37
  Speaker 3: host Alpha Chi.
• 11:38
Speaker 4: So Ben Higgins, if anybody knows The Bachelor, Ben Higgins
• 11:42
Speaker 4: was The Bachelor, but he's from Indiana and they have
• 11:44
Speaker 4: a lake house and maybe he'd love to host.
• 11:46
Speaker 3: 40 old lady sorority girls. Yeah, exactly. No, I mean,
• 11:51
Speaker 3: he might even know some if we can get some
• 11:54
Speaker 3: Alpha Chi's from his time.
• 11:55
Speaker 4: And what's funny is my dad brought up, so my dad,
• 11:57
Speaker 4: my parents went to Cal.
• 11:58
Speaker 2: That's how they met.
• 11:59
Speaker 4: They met at school and my mom was in my
• 12:00
Speaker 4: same sorority. So my dad was like, you should let
• 12:02
Speaker 4: the like grandma age come.
• 12:05
  Speaker 3: Yes.
• 12:06
Speaker 2: Like my mom and like her age, which would be wild.
• 12:10
  Speaker 2: I think too.
• 12:11
Speaker 3: It would be wild. And you know what? It would
• 12:14
Speaker 3: go so far. I feel like as I'm getting older,
• 12:17
Speaker 3: you know what Joan said on the golden bachelor? She
• 12:19
Speaker 3: said that as she gets older, she feels invisible. And
• 12:23
Speaker 3: I feel like it would, you know what I mean?
• 12:26
Speaker 3: Like inviting them to something like that would just like
• 12:29
Speaker 3: light up their worlds.
• 12:30
Speaker 4: Yeah. Do you feel old sorority lady or do you
• 12:35
  Speaker 4: feel young?
• 12:35
Speaker 2: Like I feel young, but I'm not.
• 12:38
Speaker 3: I feel old because maybe it's the difference here is
• 12:40
Speaker 3: because I have kids and you don't. And I feel
• 12:42
Speaker 3: like because I have kids who are in college and
• 12:45
Speaker 3: almost in college now, now I'm feeling more like the
• 12:49
Speaker 3: old sorority person because my kids are college age.
• 12:52
  Speaker 4: Right.
• 12:54
Speaker 3: If I didn't have kids, then I probably would still
• 12:56
Speaker 3: feel like, oh, whatever. I'm still a college age kid.
• 13:00
Speaker 2: Have you actually been back to your sorority?
• 13:04
  Speaker 4: Yes.
• 13:04
Speaker 3: So we did make it happen like maybe five years ago,
• 13:08
Speaker 3: four or five years ago.
• 13:10
  Speaker 4: I don't know.
• 13:10
Speaker 3: It could have been six or seven. I'm so bad
• 13:11
Speaker 3: at years. Where we went back to, we went to Carmel.
• 13:16
Speaker 3: We stayed at one of our girlfriend's houses and there
• 13:19
Speaker 3: were probably like 10 of us. And then we went
• 13:22
Speaker 3: to Indiana for one of the football games. We tailgated.
• 13:25
Speaker 3: It was so much fun. But it was at school. Oh,
• 13:31
Speaker 3: my God. What was your question? It just poofed.
• 13:33
Speaker 2: Did you go to your sorority?
• 13:35
Speaker 3: Yes, we went to the sorority. We went to the
• 13:37
Speaker 3: sorority house. So we did the whole thing. See, that's
• 13:41
Speaker 3: also why I feel like an old sorority.
• 13:43
Speaker 2: We're not old, guys. We're so young.
• 13:46
  Speaker 4: Yes.
• 13:46
Speaker 3: I forget everything because my brain does that constantly.
• 13:49
  Speaker 4: Yes.
• 13:50
Speaker 3: We all went to the sorority house. We actually like
• 13:52
Speaker 3: kind of like walked around the floors. We toured it. We,
• 13:56
Speaker 3: you know, did all those things. They had out like
• 13:59
Speaker 3: albums from previous years.
• 14:01
Speaker 2: Composites. Someone did bring the composite.
• 14:03
Speaker 4: So people that are listening that were in a sorority know,
• 14:05
Speaker 4: but if you weren't, it's almost like your class picture,
• 14:08
Speaker 4: but it's all the grades in college in your sorority.
• 14:12
Speaker 3: Does that make sense? In the black dress with the pearls.
• 14:14
Speaker 3: We didn't have to do that. Oh, you did.
• 14:15
  Speaker 2: You did it.
• 14:16
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 14:19
Speaker 2: Wait, there was something I was going to say.
• 14:21
Speaker 4: When I go back, which we do go back, because
• 14:23
Speaker 4: sometimes when we're going to football games, you kind.
• 14:24
Speaker 2: Of want to use the bathroom at the sorority house.
• 14:26
  Speaker 1: Although.
• 14:27
  Speaker 5: I know.
• 14:28
  Speaker 3: True story.
• 14:29
Speaker 2: It could use a little cleaning up in there.
• 14:31
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 14:31
  Speaker 2: Sometimes I go in and I'm like, it's happening. It's
• 14:33
Speaker 2: so messy. We didn't keep it. We would have been
• 14:36
Speaker 2: in trouble if it was that messy.
• 14:37
Speaker 3: Oh, same, same. I don't know.
• 14:38
Speaker 4: I have a whole alumni thing. rant that I could
• 14:41
Speaker 4: go on, but I'll do that later.
• 14:43
Speaker 3: Save that for another episode.
• 14:44
Speaker 2: I'll save that for another episode because this one's positive.
• 14:46
  Speaker 4: But when I go in, I know I'm graduated. I
• 14:52
Speaker 4: definitely don't think I'm young in there, but I think
• 14:55
Speaker 4: that I just graduated.
• 14:56
Speaker 3: Like, oh, I was just.
• 14:57
Speaker 2: Here a few years ago.
• 14:58
  Speaker 3: Please.
• 14:59
  Speaker 2: I mean, please.
• 15:00
Speaker 3: I was just dancing with the stars. And how long
• 15:02
Speaker 3: ago was the first season?
• 15:03
Speaker 2: You're like, I was just on 20 years ago.
• 15:06
Speaker 3: I know. Literally, I met... Ezra Freck, we were talking
• 15:11
Speaker 3: about it on the podcast, the most dramatic dance floor ever.
• 15:14
Speaker 3: And I literally said to him, I was on the
• 15:18
Speaker 3: show before you were born. And I've said that to
• 15:20
  Speaker 3: multiple people.
• 15:21
Speaker 2: That's actually true though.
• 15:22
Speaker 3: I think it landed.
• 15:25
  Speaker 2: No, that's like, what's crazy.
• 15:26
Speaker 4: Like the girls that are about to come on to
• 15:29
Speaker 4: talk about sort of what they observed were not born
• 15:33
Speaker 4: when we were in college because our age, no, somebody
• 15:36
Speaker 4: said who brought, because they, some of the girls saw Specifically,
• 15:40
Speaker 4: they saw Evie and.
• 15:41
Speaker 2: Margot, and they were like, who brought their daughter?
• 15:45
  Speaker 3: Yes, completely.
• 15:46
Speaker 2: That's not their daughter. They work for iHeart.
• 15:50
  Speaker 3: Whatever.
• 16:05
Speaker 2: The cool thing about Stassi.
• 16:07
Speaker 4: So I am 1996 Kappa at Cal.
• 16:11
Speaker 2: And Stassi is what year will you graduate?
• 16:13
  Speaker 3: 2027?
• 16:13
  Speaker 2: Yes.
• 16:15
Speaker 4: So she's 2027 Kappa at Cal. Oh my gosh.
• 16:20
Speaker 2: So we're in the same house. So she helped put
• 16:22
Speaker 2: Kappa Palooza together. Great.
• 16:25
Speaker 4: And then Evie and Margo were actually there.
• 16:29
Speaker 2: During the shenanigans. But I wouldn't really call it shenanigans.
• 16:33
  Speaker 3: Right.
• 16:34
Speaker 5: There were some shenanigans.
• 16:36
Speaker 4: Everybody give their like first impressions of what you thought
• 16:39
  Speaker 4: of the reunion.
• 16:42
Speaker 2: It was so much fun.
• 16:43
Speaker 7: I think my personal favorite part was just seeing all
• 16:46
Speaker 7: these women like be in Kappa so many years ago
• 16:48
Speaker 7: and come back together. And like Amy said, like have
• 16:51
Speaker 7: these conversations and just pick up right where they left off,
• 16:53
Speaker 7: like talking about their life now, their kids and all
• 16:56
Speaker 7: this stuff. And it was just so good to see
• 16:58
Speaker 7: because to me, I would absolutely love to do something
• 17:01
Speaker 7: like this with my own pledge class one day.
• 17:04
Speaker 5: Yeah, me too. I think I go off Margo. The
• 17:07
Speaker 5: other thing I wanted to say was, Amy, you said
• 17:11
Speaker 5: that some people were like, oh, are they your daughters?
• 17:14
Speaker 5: But the first women that came in, the first three
• 17:18
Speaker 5: that like were just showing up before anyone else was there, Amy,
• 17:20
Speaker 5: I think you were still in a meeting or whatever.
• 17:22
Speaker 5: They were like early birds. And it's just me and Margo.
• 17:25
Speaker 5: I'm like, hi, welcome. Like, do you want to grab
• 17:28
Speaker 5: a drink at the bar or whatever? Like make him
• 17:30
Speaker 5: feel comfortable. They're looking at us and they're like, we
• 17:34
Speaker 5: like almost had this moment of like, do we, did
• 17:37
Speaker 5: they go to Cal? Do we know? And they're like, hi,
• 17:41
Speaker 5: you look so familiar. And I'm like, I work for Amy.
• 17:47
Speaker 5: I'm just helping out.
• 17:49
Speaker 2: They were put on the spot.
• 17:51
Speaker 5: We were in your sorority.
• 17:54
Speaker 4: There were a little bit of that because, like I said,
• 17:57
  Speaker 4: the 12-year difference.
• 17:58
Speaker 2: There were a few times when people were like, who's that?
• 18:01
  Speaker 2: I'm like, don't worry. You wouldn't know them, but they're
• 18:03
  Speaker 2: eight years younger.
• 18:05
Speaker 4: Wait, Stassi, did you get to get vibes of what
• 18:11
Speaker 4: old Kappas are like?
• 18:12
  Speaker 2: A little bit.
• 18:13
Speaker 1: We do our like alumni's and like founders dinners.
• 18:18
Speaker 4: I know I have a real bone to pick about
• 18:19
Speaker 4: the founders dinner, but that's going to be a whole
• 18:21
  Speaker 4: nother episode.
• 18:22
Speaker 2: They don't invite us.
• 18:24
Speaker 3: They don't invite people to the founders dinner?
• 18:26
Speaker 4: No, there's like a group of ladies and they like
• 18:29
Speaker 4: don't invite the founders. it's the different generations. Do you
• 18:33
Speaker 4: know what I'm saying? So there's sort of the like,
• 18:35
Speaker 4: we'll call it grandma generation, mom generation, young people generation, current.
• 18:41
Speaker 2: And the grandmas don't want to mix with the moms.
• 18:45
Speaker 2: I don't know why. I'm trying to work through that,
• 18:47
  Speaker 2: but I don't know.
• 18:49
Speaker 4: Anyway. Wait, so Evie and Margo, like what did you witness? Like,
• 18:55
Speaker 4: And did people look old to you? Did they look good?
• 18:58
  Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
• 18:59
Speaker 5: Eating from the potato bar. Well, first of all, no
• 19:02
Speaker 5: one was eating from the jump. It was just me
• 19:04
Speaker 5: and Margo eating everything. It took me a while to eat.
• 19:09
Speaker 5: And Margo and I, I was like, I kept saying
• 19:13
Speaker 5: to Margo, I'm like, well, this is my future. Like,
• 19:15
Speaker 5: I mean, amazing. Like this, look at everyone. They're all
• 19:18
Speaker 5: like gorgeous people. And, like, these are the hottest women
• 19:22
Speaker 5: in the Bay Area right here.
• 19:23
  Speaker 3: Oh, that's nice.
• 19:25
Speaker 4: They really are a group of pretty ladies and very successful.
• 19:28
  Speaker 2: That's the thing.
• 19:29
Speaker 4: Like, I would say half work. Half are, you know, like,
• 19:36
Speaker 4: their job is stay-at-home mom. I don't know.
• 19:38
Speaker 2: What is the proper way to say stay-at-home mom now?
• 19:40
Speaker 4: Works in the home. Works in the home. I think
• 19:42
Speaker 4: that's how you're supposed to say it. And then I'd
• 19:44
  Speaker 4: say about half.
• 19:45
Speaker 3: Really? You have to say works in the home? It
• 19:47
Speaker 3: works in the home.
• 19:51
Speaker 2: And then I think half work.
• 19:53
Speaker 4: And I would say majority have kids, but not all.
• 19:58
  Speaker 4: There's a few that don't, but a lot do. And
• 20:02
Speaker 4: a lot of people have kids in college now. There
• 20:05
Speaker 4: was some crazy things happening where like, someone's son just
• 20:09
Speaker 4: joined the fraternity and someone else's son's already in that
• 20:12
Speaker 4: fraternity at UCLA. Like there was like crazy things happening
• 20:16
Speaker 4: like that where the second generation or the third generation,
• 20:21
Speaker 4: whatever you want to say, is now meeting each other.
• 20:24
Speaker 4: Like one of our friends is a pledge, I won't
• 20:27
Speaker 4: say the fraternity, with two other, maybe three other friends,
• 20:32
Speaker 4: kids in his pledge class where the parents all went
• 20:35
Speaker 4: to college together And then there's probably another 10 guys
• 20:39
Speaker 4: in the house whose parents went to Cal also. I mean, wild.
• 20:44
Speaker 3: That just shows that the connections that are formed through
• 20:48
Speaker 3: the Greek life, Greek system are strong. You know, it's
• 20:52
Speaker 3: a big reason why I feel like so many people
• 20:55
Speaker 3: go into the Greek system is to form friendships and
• 20:58
Speaker 3: connections that last forever.
• 21:00
Speaker 4: Yeah, and it's a tough time, right? Because there's so many,
• 21:03
Speaker 4: there are negatives, right? I don't deny that. There are negatives,
• 21:08
Speaker 4: there are problems, there are things, but there are also so,
• 21:12
  Speaker 4: so many positives.
• 21:14
Speaker 2: And I would be interested, like, I think the majority.
• 21:17
Speaker 4: Of people, or at least my experience, was very little
• 21:19
  Speaker 4: negative while.
• 21:20
Speaker 2: I was there, right?
• 21:21
Speaker 4: I don't pretend to not see the rest of the
• 21:23
Speaker 4: world and what happens. But in general, yeah, we made
• 21:26
  Speaker 4: great friendships.
• 21:27
Speaker 2: And I thought the other thing was that it wasn't like,
• 21:31
Speaker 2: what do I call it? Pleasantries.
• 21:34
Speaker 4: Like it wasn't like surface level conversations. It wasn't like,
• 21:37
Speaker 4: and how are you? And like, what do you do now?
• 21:40
Speaker 4: It was not that at all. I did not have
• 21:44
Speaker 4: one conversation like that. It literally was like a time travel.
• 21:49
Speaker 3: Oh, you just pick up where you left off.
• 21:52
  Speaker 2: Totally.
• 21:53
Speaker 3: Totally. That's the best.
• 21:56
Speaker 5: I witnessed just like, I feel like the interactions were
• 21:58
Speaker 5: so genuine. It'd be like, Oh my God. Like I
• 22:02
Speaker 5: haven't seen you in forever. Like how are, it was
• 22:04
Speaker 5: just very sweet or people seeing each other from across
• 22:07
Speaker 5: the room. And they're like, Oh my gosh, going and
• 22:10
Speaker 5: give him a hug.
• 22:11
  Speaker 3: It's just so.
• 22:12
Speaker 4: It's also hashtag sorority life. Like one of my friends
• 22:14
Speaker 4: was staying here and she's, she does. She, I know
• 22:17
Speaker 4: her obviously very, very well, but like I, I was,
• 22:21
Speaker 4: I had to work at the same time. So I
• 22:23
Speaker 4: was in a meeting in the garage while they were
• 22:25
Speaker 4: all in the house. And I come in and my
• 22:27
Speaker 4: friend's just like wearing my socks, which is fine. And
• 22:30
Speaker 4: she's like, oh yeah, I just went in your room
• 22:31
Speaker 4: and grabbed your socks. Very sorority-ish.
• 22:34
Speaker 2: Like, do you know what I'm saying? And so it
• 22:36
Speaker 2: all still just remains like.
• 22:38
Speaker 3: That's so funny. Oh yeah. How often did you go?
• 22:41
Speaker 3: Oh no. And one thing. Just borrow whatever.
• 22:43
Speaker 2: Yes. A hundred percent. You'd be like, oh, totally.
• 22:46
  Speaker 3: No.
• 22:46
Speaker 4: The other thing that was so funny is I keep
• 22:48
Speaker 4: the house at a breezy 63.
• 22:50
Speaker 3: Yeah. We come back.
• 22:54
Speaker 2: Everybody's kind of hanging out. And all of a sudden
• 22:55
Speaker 2: I look at my thing and someone turned the heat
• 22:57
Speaker 2: on to 74. And I literally was like, oh, absolutely not.
• 23:03
Speaker 4: So I would say there's a discrepancy between temperatures of
• 23:07
Speaker 4: this age of women.
• 23:08
Speaker 3: Because I was like, I literally.
• 23:10
Speaker 4: Was like, I will not be alive in the morning
• 23:13
Speaker 4: if we go to bed with the heat on 73.
• 23:17
Speaker 3: And mind you, none of you will be either because
• 23:20
Speaker 3: I will be a raging hormone. So bye-bye.
• 23:23
Speaker 2: I was like, we're all going to not be okay
• 23:25
Speaker 2: if we do that. Like immediately back to 63, I
• 23:27
Speaker 2: was like, er, er, er, er.
• 23:29
Speaker 3: Just put on a sweatshirt and some slippers. Cause no,
• 23:33
Speaker 3: that is not an option.
• 23:50
Speaker 4: I wouldn't wonder for like Evie Margo Stassi is in
• 23:53
  Speaker 4: it still.
• 23:54
Speaker 2: How many girls do you stay in touch with?
• 23:56
Speaker 7: Honestly, I only stay in touch with like my core
• 23:59
Speaker 7: friend group and like a few of our littles that
• 24:01
Speaker 7: are like still at the school. And like they told
• 24:03
Speaker 7: us about their G littles just now and it was
• 24:05
Speaker 7: so fun. But honestly, like I don't really keep in
• 24:08
Speaker 7: touch with a ton of girls.
• 24:09
  Speaker 1: So that's what I'm saying.
• 24:10
Speaker 7: Like if I saw them in like that setting, I
• 24:12
Speaker 7: feel like it would also be kind of like pick
• 24:14
Speaker 7: up where you left off because you don't really stay
• 24:16
Speaker 7: in touch throughout these years. But if you saw each other,
• 24:18
Speaker 7: you'd be like, oh my God, like just like back
• 24:20
Speaker 7: to the college days of like going out.
• 24:22
Speaker 2: That's so interesting. Evie, what about you?
• 24:25
Speaker 5: Because I'm in LA, I stay in touch with like,
• 24:30
Speaker 5: I would say like 20 of them from my sorority,
• 24:34
  Speaker 5: older and.
• 24:35
Speaker 3: Younger, like the other.
• 24:36
Speaker 5: And it's that same, I was just thinking like, hi,
• 24:38
Speaker 5: I wonder if it would be that same interaction if
• 24:41
Speaker 5: I saw those girls now. But the other day I
• 24:42
Speaker 5: was surfing and I saw a girl from my sorority
• 24:44
Speaker 5: that I hadn't seen in three years. And I was like,
• 24:47
Speaker 5: oh my God, is that you, Grace?
• 24:49
  Speaker 3: Hi.
• 24:49
  Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
• 24:50
Speaker 5: Totally, we're talking for 15 minutes, I think.
• 24:53
  Speaker 3: I think.
• 24:55
Speaker 5: I do think that time aids in those kinds of
• 24:59
Speaker 5: interactions for women, just because you feel a little bit
• 25:02
Speaker 5: like right after grad, you feel this pressure to like
• 25:05
Speaker 5: really still stay super, super close with your friends that
• 25:08
Speaker 5: you lived in the house with, you know, you went
• 25:10
Speaker 5: from like literally sharing a bathroom with them to now
• 25:13
Speaker 5: not knowing that they got a promotion or whatever.
• 25:16
  Speaker 3: Like, yeah.
• 25:17
Speaker 5: So I think that transition, like the first year post-grad
• 25:20
Speaker 5: can be kind of hard, but then after that time period, like,
• 25:24
Speaker 5: you kind of settle into this like, oh, it's a
• 25:27
  Speaker 5: time warp.
• 25:29
Speaker 4: I think there was something, Trista, I'll say about doing
• 25:31
Speaker 4: it at our age because we have really not had
• 25:35
Speaker 4: a CAPA reunion of our group from 30 years ago, right?
• 25:40
Speaker 2: Little things, like we said, but this was a big thing.
• 25:43
Speaker 4: A lot of people did say this was the age
• 25:45
Speaker 4: to do it because there's a lot.
• 25:47
Speaker 2: Of, we don't give any AFs. Is that how you
• 25:51
  Speaker 2: say that?
• 25:52
  Speaker 4: I think I said it.
• 25:54
Speaker 3: Any Fs. Yeah. Yeah. Not any AFs. I don't know
• 25:59
Speaker 3: what an AF is, but we got what you were saying.
• 26:05
Speaker 4: Because nobody was like, there was no judgment. I really
• 26:08
Speaker 4: will say that. And look, I would hope that 15
• 26:10
Speaker 4: years ago, there wouldn't have been any judgment anyway.
• 26:12
Speaker 2: But really, everyone was just stoked.
• 26:15
  Speaker 3: Totally.
• 26:15
  Speaker 2: Nobody cared who.
• 26:18
Speaker 4: Had kids who didn't, who had what job, who didn't,
• 26:21
Speaker 4: who drives this car, who doesn't, who has $ 5.
• 26:25
Speaker 2: In their pocket who has 5 billion. No one cares, right?
• 26:28
  Speaker 2: I don't think anyone has 5 billion.
• 26:29
Speaker 4: That'd be amazing if somebody did have 5 billion.
• 26:33
Speaker 3: You're like, can we be friends?
• 26:34
Speaker 2: We would have upped the potato bar if.
• 26:36
Speaker 3: Somebody had 5 billion. Maybe add some caviar or whatever.
• 26:41
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 26:42
  Speaker 3: Right.
• 26:44
Speaker 2: Which I don't care for caviar, but that's fine.
• 26:46
  Speaker 3: I hate seafood.
• 26:47
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 26:48
Speaker 2: I mean, I think it was also like you want
• 26:50
  Speaker 2: it to be.
• 26:52
Speaker 4: Fun like it's not trying to be fancy like we
• 26:55
Speaker 4: were just threw some flowers out and some balloons and
• 26:58
Speaker 4: we're like totally rock it why even do that like
• 27:00
Speaker 4: it's funny because that you say that because when I
• 27:02
Speaker 4: went to do the like you know get together with
• 27:05
Speaker 4: my friends I won't call it a reunion but with
• 27:07
Speaker 4: my friends and we were at my friend's house she
• 27:10
Speaker 4: was the consummate host and had everything out she had
• 27:13
Speaker 4: Indiana cookies made and all these things like we had
• 27:16
Speaker 4: cookies we did have cookies made We had Cal Kappa
• 27:19
  Speaker 4: cookies made.
• 27:20
Speaker 3: That's so cute. So like, I feel like, yeah, that's fun,
• 27:23
Speaker 3: but it doesn't have to be like this big explosion.
• 27:26
Speaker 2: No, we did it super dirt dog. Like we, it is.
• 27:30
Speaker 4: A country club, so it looked country clubby. So we
• 27:33
Speaker 4: did want to add a little flair and Evie thought
• 27:35
Speaker 4: of a good idea. She put like on the screen,
• 27:37
Speaker 4: like looped Cal football.
• 27:39
Speaker 2: So that was really good. But for the most part, yeah.
• 27:42
Speaker 4: I mean, there were little things I would do to
• 27:44
Speaker 4: make it more fun but the main thing was like
• 27:47
Speaker 4: everyone wanted more time Yeah.
• 27:49
Speaker 3: I mean, I feel like that's always how you feel
• 27:51
Speaker 3: when you're with your close friends. I was going to say,
• 27:53
Speaker 3: have you watched the show five-star weekend with Jennifer?
• 27:56
  Speaker 2: Of course.
• 27:57
Speaker 3: Oh my God. It's so dramatic though.
• 27:59
  Speaker 4: Like, right.
• 28:01
  Speaker 3: I know.
• 28:01
Speaker 4: But the spread, she was like Martha Stewart and that's
• 28:05
Speaker 4: like the real Jen Garner. But can you imagine if
• 28:08
Speaker 4: at the gabber reunion, someone's like, I'm sorry, I slept
• 28:11
Speaker 4: with your dead husband.
• 28:15
Speaker 3: Oh my gosh. No.
• 28:16
Speaker 2: That was kind of crazy.
• 28:17
  Speaker 3: That's a reunion you don't.
• 28:18
Speaker 2: Want to be at. I can't remember in the end.
• 28:20
Speaker 2: Did they end up friends again?
• 28:21
  Speaker 3: I don't know because I haven't watched all of them.
• 28:23
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 28:23
Speaker 2: Oh my God. But did you know someone slept with
• 28:25
  Speaker 2: her husband?
• 28:26
  Speaker 3: Yes. Yes.
• 28:27
  Speaker 2: Okay.
• 28:27
Speaker 3: Okay. I got to the part where the one girl
• 28:30
Speaker 3: found her phone and saw the picture of her and
• 28:32
  Speaker 3: her dead husband.
• 28:32
  Speaker 7: Yeah.
• 28:32
  Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
• 28:33
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 28:33
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 28:34
Speaker 3: So it's coming, but yes, it's such a good show,
• 28:37
Speaker 3: but yeah, you don't need all the, all the ta-da.
• 28:40
Speaker 3: Like you just need the time together. I feel like
• 28:43
Speaker 3: it's just about reconnecting and spending, like being in the
• 28:47
  Speaker 3: same room.
• 28:48
Speaker 4: We're trying to decide if it should be like annual.
• 28:49
Speaker 4: Should it be Every two years. I feel like a
• 28:51
Speaker 4: big one should be every like two years.
• 28:53
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 28:55
Speaker 2: But like you could do the little small ones.
• 28:56
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 28:57
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 28:57
  Speaker 5: Yeah.
• 28:58
  Speaker 4: I don't know.
• 28:58
Speaker 2: I really like, I like activities at our age.
• 29:01
Speaker 4: I think it's like fun to have sort of sorority
• 29:03
Speaker 4: ish things to look forward to.
• 29:05
Speaker 3: Anything to look forward to. sorry.
• 29:14
Speaker 4: Do we need to talk?
• 29:18
  Speaker 2: I don't have that.
• 29:20
Speaker 3: No, I'm trying to stay busy just with, is that.
• 29:23
Speaker 2: Because you have a kid gone and you're like getting, yes,
• 29:25
  Speaker 2: that's what I mean.
• 29:26
Speaker 3: Like, it's just a weird time.
• 29:28
Speaker 2: Which kid is at college?
• 29:30
Speaker 3: Max is at school.
• 29:31
Speaker 2: He's, and is he doing a fraternity?
• 29:33
Speaker 3: He is not. That's why I, so in the previous episode,
• 29:37
Speaker 3: when I was talking to Stassi and Sarah and, um,
• 29:40
Speaker 3: the other girls all the girls i was asking them
• 29:42
Speaker 3: about like what are the activities for the kids who
• 29:45
Speaker 3: aren't in a fraternity because max is not in a
• 29:47
  Speaker 3: fraternity is.
• 29:48
Speaker 4: He a boulder where's he yeah and he because ryan
• 29:51
Speaker 4: was in a fraternity wasn't he.
• 29:52
Speaker 3: He wasn't, he played football. So like, it's fine. He
• 29:57
Speaker 3: doesn't have to be in a fraternity. And I love
• 29:59
Speaker 3: that he's not like a party kid, but it's funny
• 30:01
Speaker 3: because family weekend or parents weekend is, typically like where
• 30:06
Speaker 3: you go and you party with your kids.
• 30:08
Speaker 2: Right. At the, at the fraternity or sorority.
• 30:10
  Speaker 6: Yeah.
• 30:10
Speaker 3: Yeah. So I, you know, it's close enough to where
• 30:13
Speaker 3: we see him a lot and we're just going to
• 30:14
Speaker 3: go up for the football game.
• 30:16
Speaker 2: And you think he might want to do it next
• 30:17
Speaker 2: year or is he like, I'm not into it.
• 30:19
Speaker 3: There's a chance if, if his friend, cause some of
• 30:22
Speaker 3: his friends have rushed. Yeah.
• 30:23
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 30:23
  Speaker 7: Yeah.
• 30:24
Speaker 3: So yes, but he's also talking about like maybe trying
• 30:27
Speaker 3: out for lacrosse and whatever. If you do like a sport,
• 30:31
Speaker 3: then I feel like, For sure.
• 30:34
Speaker 4: My brother didn't do a fraternity because he played football.
• 30:36
Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly. So it's too time consuming.
• 30:39
Speaker 4: Stassi is an athlete and did the sorority, but is
• 30:42
Speaker 4: that why you had to wait until sophomore year, Stassi?
• 30:45
Speaker 2: I think a lot of athletes don't do it freshman year.
• 30:47
Speaker 1: It's just so not advised to be an athlete and
• 30:50
Speaker 1: do it. I mean, like we have like team guidelines
• 30:52
Speaker 1: and it will just say like Greek life is highly
• 30:55
  Speaker 1: not encouraged.
• 30:57
Speaker 3: So highly discouraged, highly discouraged.
• 31:00
Speaker 1: And I think for me more so like I do
• 31:03
Speaker 1: cross country obviously. So like I have a really small
• 31:05
Speaker 1: team and I was like, I just feel like I
• 31:07
Speaker 1: don't really know anyone right now.
• 31:09
Speaker 3: And I want to like branch out a little bit.
• 31:11
Speaker 1: And like, cause the athlete bubble, like at any college
• 31:13
  Speaker 1: is like, that's.
• 31:14
  Speaker 3: Like your world.
• 31:15
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 31:15
Speaker 3: Greek life is your world.
• 31:16
Speaker 1: Like, it's kind of the same thing and it's really
• 31:18
Speaker 1: hard to get out of it. So I was like,
• 31:20
Speaker 1: I'm just going to rush and just like, hope they
• 31:22
Speaker 1: don't find out and just ask for forgiveness. And then
• 31:25
Speaker 1: the only time that it became a problem was when
• 31:28
Speaker 1: like I had joined.
• 31:29
Speaker 3: And I was in it for a year. And then
• 31:31
  Speaker 3: I was like, I.
• 31:31
Speaker 1: Think I'm going to just push it a little bit
• 31:33
Speaker 1: further and see if I can live in the house.
• 31:34
Speaker 2: And they won't be mad about that.
• 31:37
Speaker 1: And then I remember talking to my coaches and they're like,
• 31:38
  Speaker 1: where are.
• 31:39
Speaker 3: You living this year? And I was like, Oh, I'm
• 31:41
Speaker 3: living on Piedmont. It's like, uh, by all these other houses.
• 31:45
Speaker 2: It's gray. It's gray. Do you know the gray one? Yeah,
• 31:48
  Speaker 2: that gray one.
• 31:49
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah. That Greek row. That's where I'll be living.
• 31:53
Speaker 2: And they're like, okay.
• 31:54
Speaker 3: Oh, got it. Note taken.
• 31:57
  Speaker 4: I literally would love when I'm 80, if I'm so
• 32:01
Speaker 4: lucky to be 80 and 90 and maybe 100, to
• 32:04
Speaker 4: live with my sorority sisters in a house.
• 32:06
Speaker 3: Exactly. I want to live in a commune. I want
• 32:10
Speaker 3: a commune with all the people that I love in
• 32:12
  Speaker 3: my world.
• 32:12
  Speaker 2: I mean, literally?
• 32:13
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 32:14
Speaker 4: If somebody could cook for me, we didn't even do
• 32:17
Speaker 4: the dishes. Do you know how much time I spend
• 32:20
Speaker 4: every day doing laundry, ironing, vacuuming, 409ing crap, unloading the dishwasher,
• 32:27
  Speaker 4: loading the dishwasher.
• 32:28
Speaker 2: It's like, it's gnarly. Oh, we just hand it. I
• 32:32
Speaker 2: think you had to scrape it.
• 32:33
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 32:34
Speaker 2: Scrape it and then hand it.
• 32:36
Speaker 3: You didn't even have to do that. I think you
• 32:38
Speaker 3: just put it in the, like.
• 32:40
Speaker 2: I think we scraped maybe. I think we scraped.
• 32:43
Speaker 3: All right. Well, even if you have to scrape, like amazing.
• 32:47
Speaker 3: And then you had your house boy who like did
• 32:49
Speaker 3: the dishes for the guys in the kitchen or whatever.
• 32:53
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 32:53
Speaker 2: No, the whole thing is a great, it's very great.
• 32:55
Speaker 3: I agree. If we could figure out, could we, Sugarman,
• 32:58
Speaker 3: let's put our minds together and figure out a sorority
• 33:01
  Speaker 3: system where Yeah.
• 33:03
Speaker 2: I'm totally fine to live with you. Like we are fine.
• 33:06
Speaker 2: I also like how you're, you're pretty neat and clean.
• 33:08
Speaker 3: And I like all that. Yes.
• 33:11
Speaker 2: The one messy girl's got to have her own wing.
• 33:13
  Speaker 7: No.
• 33:13
Speaker 3: And that used to be me, but I feel like
• 33:16
Speaker 3: I learned my lesson because so many people live with
• 33:19
Speaker 3: me and they're like, come on, pick up. Oh my gosh.
• 33:21
Speaker 4: I have a great idea for an episode of, of
• 33:23
Speaker 4: dirty rush that we'll do sometime soon.
• 33:26
  Speaker 3: Like dirty.
• 33:27
Speaker 2: Well, but lessons you learn in the sorority.
• 33:31
  Speaker 5: Yes.
• 33:32
Speaker 4: Not leaving your crap everywhere is literally one of them
• 33:35
Speaker 4: and it kind of stays with you.
• 33:37
Speaker 3: For sure. Wearing shoes in the shared shower.
• 33:41
Speaker 2: Do you know my story about that?
• 33:44
  Speaker 4: No.
• 33:44
  Speaker 2: That I got a planter's wart.
• 33:47
  Speaker 3: Ew.
• 33:47
Speaker 2: And it took 10 years to get rid of it.
• 33:49
  Speaker 2: Oh my, what?
• 33:53
  Speaker 3: Ew.
• 33:56
Speaker 2: I've told that story before.
• 33:58
Speaker 3: Yeah, that is definitely one of the big lessons.
• 34:01
Speaker 4: Capapalooza was a win, I think.
• 34:04
Speaker 2: It was a win.
• 34:05
Speaker 5: Well, can we talk, did you talk at all about
• 34:07
  Speaker 5: the after party?
• 34:08
Speaker 2: At my house? Was there another after party?
• 34:12
Speaker 5: Was there an after party we want to know what
• 34:14
Speaker 5: happened at the after party.
• 34:16
Speaker 6: They were getting the solo cups from your kitchen and
• 34:19
Speaker 6: the whole bartender was there like they took over and
• 34:23
Speaker 6: evie never like okay this is when the this is
• 34:26
Speaker 6: when the guys came or something.
• 34:28
Speaker 4: Yeah that's where the four boys we had four boys
• 34:31
Speaker 4: and three of them came to the after party.
• 34:32
  Speaker 5: They're like where's the vodka They're like looking around. They're
• 34:37
Speaker 5: like in your garage.
• 34:38
Speaker 2: It was fine. It was great.
• 34:40
Speaker 4: I actually, and I do think in your fifties, people
• 34:42
Speaker 4: are a lot like less messy. I did have to
• 34:44
Speaker 4: do some cleaning, which by the way, you know, I
• 34:45
Speaker 4: can't go to bed until it's cleaned up. So I
• 34:48
Speaker 4: did spend an extra hour after I was like, and
• 34:50
  Speaker 4: they're like, what are you doing? I'm like, I can't
• 34:51
Speaker 4: go to sleep if there's like all these cups.
• 34:53
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 34:53
Speaker 2: But it was fine.
• 34:54
  Speaker 7: Yeah.
• 34:55
  Speaker 2: It was fine.
• 34:56
Speaker 3: That's so fun. I love that you guys did that.
• 34:59
Speaker 3: I'm totally inspired to do the same.
• 35:01
  Speaker 7: Yes.
• 35:01
Speaker 4: Everybody that I do think that the lesson is like,
• 35:04
Speaker 4: you just have to do it.
• 35:06
Speaker 2: You have to grab the bull by the horns.
• 35:08
  Speaker 3: Yeah, you do.
• 35:10
Speaker 2: And just pick a date. Cause you'll never find a date.
• 35:13
  Speaker 5: Nope.
• 35:13
Speaker 4: That worked like, like literally one of our besties could
• 35:16
Speaker 4: not go, but we're like.
• 35:17
  Speaker 2: Sorry, girl.
• 35:18
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 35:19
Speaker 3: It's just gotta happen.
• 35:20
  Speaker 5: Yeah.
• 35:21
  Speaker 2: It's gotta happen.
• 35:21
  Speaker 7: I know.
• 35:22
Speaker 3: I know. Well, and that's why you want to be
• 35:24
Speaker 3: on the planning committee so that you can, you can
• 35:28
Speaker 3: figure out the date and you can be included.
• 35:30
  Speaker 2: Our friend Angie.
• 35:31
Speaker 4: Cause everyone's like, well, how do we know who's coming?
• 35:33
Speaker 4: And I'm like, I don't want any part of that.
• 35:35
Speaker 4: And so we're like, Angie's going to be the registrar.
• 35:38
Speaker 3: Oh, registrar for a party. Okay.
• 35:42
Speaker 2: You guys were, we were pretty legit.
• 35:44
  Speaker 3: You were professional.
• 35:45
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 35:47
Speaker 2: If you guys want to throw a capapalooza, let us know.
• 35:49
Speaker 3: Yeah. I love it. Right.
• 35:52
Speaker 2: Well, Trista, you're the best. Bye guys.
