- 3:02Speaker 3: Hey, CT, hey, how's it going, everybody?
- 3:06Speaker 3: We've got Super Nash.
- 3:09Speaker 4: Here's from South Carolina.
- 3:10Speaker 3: He's been super this week and I will talk about that a little bit into this, but this is the end of season four, when you do your.
- 3:23Speaker 4: You can believe it.
- 3:23Speaker 4: See, we've made it four seasons now.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Yeah, actually Roxie said to me she's like I'm beat, I'm done, I'm just gonna go do mellow out and I'm like, yeah, I got the podcast Because I don't know how you do it.
- 3:38Speaker 3: I said, because this is the fun part, I said it's easy to do it for the fun part, right.
- 3:46Speaker 3: It's like right now tonight, with the end of season four, I'm excited to start season five.
- 3:52Speaker 3: That'll happen once we're all together in Kentucky.
- 3:56Speaker 3: I think the first podcast will be, if I'm not mistaken, on that Saturday with Brad Bonds at Revival.
- 4:09Speaker 3: That will be the start of season five.
- 4:11Speaker 3: So Saturday, september 9th will be the start of season five.
- 4:15Speaker 3: That's also making our ways down into Kentucky.
- 4:20Speaker 3: I got CT the other day.
- 4:23Speaker 3: We had a phone call.
- 4:24Speaker 3: I think it was a different CT.
- 4:26Speaker 3: I think it was a different kind of phone call, because normally we're both working, we gotta go, we gotta do things.
- 4:33Speaker 3: We're just touching base on what's gonna happen today.
- 4:35Speaker 3: But it's like that phone call was like hell, yeah, we're going to Kentucky and the better it gets, the more we're gonna be just going crazy.
- 4:47Speaker 6: And it's gonna be going crazy, right oh yeah, we start that on Saturday, like you said, with Brad at Revival and then we go Sunday through Sunday with so much going on and it's holy crap.
- 5:03Speaker 6: The itinerary is the hard part Like literally putting that all together.
- 5:08Speaker 3: I was working on the itinerary today.
- 5:10Speaker 3: I got Saturday, sunday, monday, tuesday done.
- 5:15Speaker 3: I got it all because the itineraries for each one of us you got Whiskey's in there, we got you and Super Nash myself, and so there's four different itineraries that I gotta come up with when I'm making that schedule of who's gonna be there, because it's moving parts.
- 5:33Speaker 3: But I was kind of excited when you were thinking, well, I'll just meet you at Revival and I'll find my way down, because we finish up at Revival for the podcast, but then we're gonna wait for Nash to get there.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Your flight comes in at 12.30,.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Correct, there, nash?
- 5:53Speaker 3: Oh, 11.30.
- 5:54Speaker 4: 11.30, okay, so then it's gonna take him.
- 5:57Speaker 4: At least I should be at Revival Whiskey at probably about one o'clock, one one 15.
- 6:05Speaker 4: Yeah, one, one, 15.
- 6:07Speaker 3: So we'll hang out till about.
- 6:09Speaker 3: So then we'll have.
- 6:12Speaker 3: I don't know if I can hold off the podcast that long, but what I can do for sure because we're gonna get there at 11, is have Brad give you an extraordinary cool experience and rock your Whiskey world.
- 6:27Speaker 3: That's for sure, right?
- 6:28Speaker 4: Oh yeah, that sounds like a winner.
- 6:32Speaker 3: Rock in the Whiskey World is.
- 6:34Speaker 3: I want to rock in Whiskey World lap dance.
- 6:37Speaker 3: That's what I want.
- 6:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:39Speaker 3: No, that's a.
- 6:41Speaker 4: Holy shit, well, okay.
- 6:43Speaker 3: That's a Luca.
- 6:46Speaker 3: That's a Luca.
- 6:48Speaker 3: Lap dance, lap up dance.
- 6:51Speaker 3: A Luca lap up dance.
- 6:53Speaker 3: There he is.
- 6:54Speaker 3: So the CT's dog Luca just keeps getting bigger and bigger.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Damn, oh yeah.
- 6:59Speaker 3: I mean he's a big Coonhound.
- 7:01Speaker 3: I mean he's on the big side for a Coonhound.
- 7:05Speaker 6: Yeah, I think he's about eight months, nine months old now, so he's not finished.
- 7:10Speaker 6: He keeps on keeping me on my toes, that's for sure.
- 7:15Speaker 6: He has a new device, though, so Well, do you do realize?
- 7:20Speaker 3: I could tell he had a new device because he was behaving, he's giving you love, but he isn't going wild.
- 7:28Speaker 6: So he has a beeper.
- 7:29Speaker 6: He has a beeper collar now.
- 7:31Speaker 6: So if he starts to act up he gets beeped.
- 7:33Speaker 3: Yeah, he knows the beep if he keeps going.
- 7:36Speaker 6: It's coming.
- 7:37Speaker 4: It turns into something else.
- 7:39Speaker 4: Ct, you're not going to believe this, but I have actually got one of those.
- 7:43Speaker 4: I ordered it like three weeks ago that I'm bringing up for Jeff for the Kentucky Bourbon Festival.
- 7:50Speaker 4: We are going to keep him in line.
- 7:53Speaker 3: Stacy's like shh, it's a week away, yes, it's getting there.
- 7:57Speaker 3: I mean I can't.
- 7:58Speaker 3: I'm so excited and for me, I'm headed out.
- 8:01Speaker 3: This Friday I head to Wisconsin.
- 8:04Speaker 3: We're a family member celebrating a birthday, so that's going to be a lot of fun.
- 8:09Speaker 3: I get back driving back home on Labor Day and I go back to work Tuesday, wednesday, thursday, friday, and then it's just as on something that you know.
- 8:18Speaker 3: Honestly, what did she say?
- 8:22Speaker 3: She said please bring it If you know.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Oh shit, you better.
- 8:30Speaker 3: If you don't bring over his.
- 8:34Speaker 4: I'm telling you he is going to need it this year.
- 8:37Speaker 4: He is he's going to be out of control if we don't.
- 8:40Speaker 4: I know it already?
- 8:43Speaker 3: What?
- 8:43Speaker 3: What are we talking about here?
- 8:45Speaker 4: We're talking about a beeper collar for you, a top collar for you and for Kentucky Bourbon Festival.
- 8:52Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:53Speaker 6: Video evidence of what it's like for you.
- 8:55Speaker 3: So there's a reason Randy is going to tell us to keep you in line yes, no, I am, I am, I am getting, I'm getting, I'm in shape for this.
- 9:04Speaker 3: I just keep doing this, I will.
- 9:07Speaker 4: One more reason why you think you're in shape and you're going to.
- 9:14Speaker 4: You're going to be trying to tell us I'm in shape for this, I'm in shape for this.
- 9:18Speaker 4: We're going to be saying no, you're not.
- 9:20Speaker 4: No, you're not.
- 9:22Speaker 4: Well, do it.
- 9:24Speaker 6: Nash, we'll know it's the point.
- 9:25Speaker 6: We'll know it's the point where he is in the what we would call probably the dark zone, when the love you start rolling like crazy.
- 9:33Speaker 3: So my question to Stacy is on the day we help out, on that Tuesday, we're helping out from 8am 9am.
- 9:41Speaker 3: We'll get down there help get people in until noon.
- 9:44Speaker 3: Does, does the?
- 9:46Speaker 3: I know she, she ordered you get t-shirts for helping out, which is great, but is there bourbon?
- 9:52Speaker 3: That's what I want to know.
- 9:54Speaker 3: Or can you bring your own Cause cause?
- 9:57Speaker 3: That's what I'm looking for right there.
- 9:59Speaker 3: I'm looking for a deck, definitely to get started before we get the hell out of there.
- 10:06Speaker 4: Oh, and if you are a part of the flash, or flash here I'll have my own flash, don't worry yeah.
- 10:13Speaker 3: She goes to be no clear.
- 10:15Speaker 3: It's rolling fork spirit.
- 10:17Speaker 3: That is the Barbados O R V W right, that was um yes sir Pedigack.
- 10:24Speaker 4: Yes, that's it Right there.
- 10:26Speaker 3: And and Stacy laughed.
- 10:27Speaker 3: I was like I want, I want bourbon there.
- 10:30Speaker 3: I suppose we could just go up into the, the brandy ammo area, and and the banger, yeah, Hit the lockers.
- 10:41Speaker 6: Hey, since Stacy's on here, Stacy, what does it take to get a scotchy bourbon boys locker?
- 10:48Speaker 3: Yeah Well, we already.
- 10:49Speaker 3: I talked to Randy a little bit about it.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Probably a lot of money, what it's like it's like, but we have bourbon.
- 11:02Speaker 4: Let me talk to him after that.
- 11:04Speaker 4: Well, you got to join the guild that cool birthday present.
- 11:09Speaker 3: She said it's all locked up in her office, that's where it's going.
- 11:13Speaker 3: And then she gave you four money.
- 11:16Speaker 4: So dollars on dollars.
- 11:18Speaker 3: Yeah, excellent, excellent, excellent, excellent.
- 11:21Speaker 3: So I mean, this year, this year has been so fantastic.
- 11:26Speaker 3: Okay so, I mean.
- 11:27Speaker 3: I so last year we started it at Kentucky bourbon festival, so that was just an amazing festival as far as meeting a lot of new distilleries and then making new relationships.
- 11:40Speaker 3: Like there's where we met Dan McKee and got to.
- 11:44Speaker 3: You know he liked hanging out with us, so we were able to get to Mikter's this past.
- 11:51Speaker 3: I believe it was April, right End of April, yeah.
- 11:55Speaker 4: I think it was the end of April it was the end of April, yep.
- 12:00Speaker 3: And yeah, cause you were getting married.
- 12:02Speaker 4: So it's on the date right on the bottle, that of our bottle, our own 428, 2023.
- 12:08Speaker 3: Right, yeah, you were there for Mikter's, yes, and we we that.
- 12:13Speaker 3: That was when we went and saw Turner too and invited Stacy to come along, and so you know, hanging out with Dan McKee at the distillery and then getting what Joe did for us as far as you know what he did for us when we went to the Fort Nelson and opened up the whole thing, we didn't even realize it, did we?
- 12:39Speaker 3: So, that was just.
- 12:42Speaker 3: It was just, we thought we were getting.
- 12:45Speaker 6: We thought we were getting the box of corn nuts and we ended up getting quite a bit more.
- 12:51Speaker 4: Yeah, the cool part was when we were walking through with Dan and all of a sudden he opens up that door to that private barrel room and Joe Magliuca was in there with two of his friends.
- 13:07Speaker 4: Well, and all of a sudden, andrea right, andrea was there too.
- 13:11Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, but they were wearing like lab suits and hair, hair nets and or hair protectors and I was just but.
- 13:21Speaker 4: Dan just shut the door back right quick, like he said.
- 13:24Speaker 4: Oh he, joe's in there with some friends and all that and and all that.
- 13:29Speaker 4: And then all of a sudden the door popped back open and then Joe steps out and then starts shaking our each one of our hands and introducing and meeting all of us and he's like you know, hey, you take care of these guys and boy, thank you, you know it's funny.
- 13:44Speaker 6: It's like and we talk about the relations we have with people.
- 13:48Speaker 6: I always find it funny because this is probably the most mispronounced brand that I've ever dealt with Like I have people come up and they're like they'll try to say the name of Mikters and it gets butchered so many ways.
- 14:04Speaker 6: It's funny, mitchers.
- 14:05Speaker 3: Mitchers, Mitchers.
- 14:07Speaker 6: But it's funny because there's so many people who really like it, but they don't even know the name very well.
- 14:12Speaker 6: So it's well.
- 14:14Speaker 3: it's just like meeting the one of the last podcast that I did last week was with Jason Giles of Rosewood and he says he'll be there Sunday, jason.
- 14:29Speaker 3: Oh, no, no, no, the dam McKee, yeah, yeah, yep and so that should be a lot a lot of fun at Kentucky Burbank Festival this year, but we're still talking about last year.
- 14:43Speaker 3: And then we went to bourbon on the banks and had a blast there.
- 14:47Speaker 3: That was we met up with our.
- 14:52Speaker 3: We're not talking about this year.
- 14:53Speaker 3: What Well, we're not talking about this year.
- 14:58Speaker 3: We're talking about last year's festival because this is season four recap.
- 15:01Speaker 3: Okay, that was in the season four recap.
- 15:03Speaker 3: We're just going over all this.
- 15:05Speaker 3: What you're talking about this year is season five and it hasn't happened yet.
- 15:14Speaker 3: So you know, we met a lot of you know, amz and Diane and Renee, meeting them there and just having a really good time, a totally different festival with everybody there.
- 15:22Speaker 3: And then meeting Alan hanging out with you know, going to the, seeing the what would you say, the Frankfurt Bourbon Society, before they get there, the Frankfurt Bourbon Society, before they did anything to it, they had just, and we were sitting there but we got to do that.
- 15:40Speaker 3: That was amazing.
- 15:41Speaker 3: And then.
- 15:42Speaker 3: So then we, roxy and I, got to go to the groundbreaking of the Lucca Mariano Distillery in right there in Danville, kentucky, which was an amazing day.
- 15:58Speaker 3: I got to go.
- 15:59Speaker 3: Their Rick house had already been built, so they were rolling all their barrels that they had distilled, contracted, distilled at Wilderness Trail into that Rick house and they were, but they had, you know, broke the broke ground and I never was at a groundbreaking before, so everybody was there.
- 16:15Speaker 3: It was kind of cool and that's where I was able to get Jennifer Brantz to leave a barrel, which led to a three million view on YouTube, but still my number one view on YouTube of her leaving a barrel and the same thing.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Then we were, you know, we were going to whiskey thief when we were going down to Kentucky Bourbon Festival last year and we got to see Hannah and put out those videos, you know, and those reels and those YouTube videos so that just the Scotchy Bourbon boys from a real standpoint all of a sudden exploded.
- 16:58Speaker 3: I mean, that's where we get our recognition.
- 17:01Speaker 3: And then CT you know we met CT at Mother Stewart's but we really got to know CT at Kentucky Bourbon Festival last year and that's what formed our friendship right there and how awesome he was.
- 17:21Speaker 3: His awesomeness was on display at Kentucky Bourbon Festival and there was no doubt that he should be a Scotchy Bourbon boy, a contributing Scotchy Bourbon boy, and you have, you've done a wonderful job there.
- 17:36Speaker 3: It was great.
- 17:37Speaker 3: So that was where you know the year in season.
- 17:40Speaker 3: You know you started coming in on season four on podcasts and coming in and filling in and then all of a sudden shares to a great addition and meeting you and becoming friends with you, and it's been a pleasure all this whole year.
- 17:58Speaker 6: Thank you, guys for accepting me for my faults you and mostly bad.
- 18:05Speaker 3: I'm not that I'm aware of.
- 18:09Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, all his worst fault is he walks fast, I wouldn't wear yours, but if you want to bring him up, you know we're open and we want to hold him against you.
- 18:21Speaker 6: I got plenty of them, as we all do.
- 18:25Speaker 4: We won't talk about that tonight.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Whiskey joined us.
- 18:28Speaker 3: Nothing but good from Whiskey joined us and he's commenting Is that what happened to the pants?
- 18:34Speaker 3: The explosion?
- 18:36Speaker 3: Hey, whiskey, here's whiskey.
- 18:41Speaker 6: You ready, because that was last year's pants.
- 18:44Speaker 6: He's already bought a new pair for this year I got a new pair.
- 18:48Speaker 3: I love the buckle brand.
- 19:36Speaker 3: I'll say it right here.
- 19:39Speaker 4: I said.
- 19:39Speaker 4: I said whiskey's going to have something new.
- 19:41Speaker 4: To talk about your new pants this year.
- 19:46Speaker 3: Anyways.
- 19:46Speaker 3: So that brings us to we did the Lucca Mariano thing.
- 19:50Speaker 3: We get into the Christmas time.
- 19:51Speaker 3: I believe we.
- 19:53Speaker 3: The Christmas party last year for the Scotchy bourbon boys was at your Vossi.
- 19:58Speaker 3: It was off the charts wall.
- 20:01Speaker 3: Oh and then.
- 20:03Speaker 4: I think it was snowing.
- 20:04Speaker 4: We had cigars out on the cigar lounge.
- 20:08Speaker 3: What did you come up for CT?
- 20:10Speaker 3: Which did you come up for Penelope?
- 20:13Speaker 6: Penelope.
- 20:14Speaker 3: Yeah, I met you down in Columbus and in the barrel Right.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Right when I did the barrel pick I met you down there.
- 20:22Speaker 3: We had lunch and then you came up and we did the Penelope release at.
- 20:29Speaker 4: In whiskey's last statement.
- 20:33Speaker 3: Uh-oh Allow.
- 20:34Speaker 3: No, I'm not.
- 20:36Speaker 3: I don't steal anything from him.
- 20:38Speaker 4: I don't see what he stole from Roxie's closet.
- 20:41Speaker 3: Roxie's going to kill him.
- 20:42Speaker 3: She's just going to kill him, Anyways.
- 20:46Speaker 3: So we had that.
- 20:48Speaker 3: And then Greg came through up here and did it, Uh whole thing.
- 20:54Speaker 3: He came in.
- 20:54Speaker 3: Greg Schneider of chicken cock whiskey came up into Ohio.
- 20:58Speaker 3: We saw him at Kentucky bourbon festival, Uh really, uh, we had our bus tour and he basically did the tasting.
- 21:07Speaker 3: And he's doing the tasting again this year for the Bardstown bourbon company and we're going to basically have Nash, me and you will have tasted four straight years where the new mate is to the, to the ready to be bottled.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Oh that's cool yeah.
- 21:26Speaker 6: And then in the library again.
- 21:28Speaker 3: Nope, ricks, I've.
- 21:31Speaker 3: I've requested the Rick House, the Ricky's place.
- 21:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I wanted to go in there with because we were small enough.
- 21:37Speaker 3: This time with 11 people going, this should be a blast.
- 21:41Speaker 3: And I'm trying to arrange something that's never happened and he's working on it.
- 21:45Speaker 3: Uh, we're trying to.
- 21:47Speaker 3: We're going to try.
- 21:48Speaker 3: And thief from a chicken cock barrel?
- 21:50Speaker 3: Yeah, Exactly so if that happens, that'll be amazing.
- 21:59Speaker 3: It might not, but, um, anyways so, and then, uh, he came up.
- 22:05Speaker 3: I actually had him and the the rep, uh, Kyle from I know just too much.
- 22:13Speaker 4: Yeah, whiskey's on fire.
- 22:14Speaker 4: The two top is some crop shorts.
- 22:17Speaker 4: Yeah, it's going to be hot up there Whiskey.
- 22:23Speaker 3: So, uh, I was looking at the weather leading up on Monday, saturday, sunday, monday, tuesday was out there for that in Kentucky and the high every day is 90, but there's no rain predicted.
- 22:36Speaker 3: So we're you know.
- 22:38Speaker 3: But what do you expect for September?
- 22:40Speaker 3: You know in Kentucky.
- 22:43Speaker 4: Hey, I'm hoping for no rain in Kentucky after last year.
- 22:47Speaker 4: Holy shit we got.
- 22:49Speaker 4: We got swamped last year.
- 22:52Speaker 3: Two years ago.
- 22:53Speaker 3: Two years ago we got two years ago, yeah Two years ago Last year before.
- 22:57Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 23:01Speaker 3: But but so.
- 23:01Speaker 3: So then, uh, that that was an awesome two.
- 23:03Speaker 4: We did a two bus bus tour, I mean come on, colonel Taylor, in the library with a candlestick.
- 23:11Speaker 3: That's who, that's who that?
- 23:12Speaker 3: Okay, that's exactly it.
- 23:14Speaker 3: Colonel, not Colonel Taylor, uh, colonel Schneider in the library with a candlestick, anyways, uh, or Colonel Prassey, there you go, cause he's a Colonel too.
- 23:27Speaker 3: So, anyways, I mean, so that led to, uh, you know, uh, you know, you know, you know the the new year.
- 23:35Speaker 3: And then our barrel pick that we did for, uh, spirit of French lick happened last year, our second barrel pick.
- 23:42Speaker 3: That was amazing.
- 23:44Speaker 3: Uh, we did our first barrel pick.
- 23:46Speaker 3: We're new Dalton, we were.
- 23:49Speaker 3: We got the knob Creek in October.
- 23:51Speaker 3: So, you know, that's, that's insane.
- 23:55Speaker 3: So we started the barrel pick program.
- 23:57Speaker 3: That started.
- 23:58Speaker 3: And then, uh, me and CT after well, when, when Nash came up for the Christmas party, we went down to Kentucky that weekend, we hung out at maker's mark, I think, uh, we, we went over to Sandy's right, isn't that what?
- 24:13Speaker 3: Yeah, and uh, we're able to get.
- 24:16Speaker 4: That was a.
- 24:16Speaker 4: That was a at the time that it was close to uh Fred having his liver transplant, so we hung out with Sandy for just a little while.
- 24:25Speaker 3: Yeah, he had had it and yeah, it still was recovering from it.
- 24:30Speaker 4: And then the right now.
- 24:32Speaker 3: I think last year at Kentucky bourbon festival he was able to.
- 24:36Speaker 3: That was like his first time coming out and you know so, but overall it was.
- 24:42Speaker 3: I'm going to tell you something about this Jack Daniels pick from the state of Ohio.
- 24:46Speaker 3: I think, from what I've done, is there's only one way to drink Jack Daniels anymore, and that's barrel strength.
- 24:52Speaker 3: I don't think, I don't think there's a, there's a Jack Daniels that even comes close to the barrel strength.
- 24:59Speaker 3: There's single barrels.
- 25:00Speaker 3: Nope, I mean those, these barrel strength.
- 25:03Speaker 3: Um, jack Daniels, it's, it's.
- 25:06Speaker 3: I mean it's, it's.
- 25:08Speaker 3: It's a night and day difference.
- 25:11Speaker 4: I just want to ask one question why did I not get a bottle?
- 25:18Speaker 3: Cause I could only buy one you can even get a sample.
- 25:22Speaker 4: I got sample for you.
- 25:22Speaker 4: Oh yeah, that's C T for me.
- 25:28Speaker 3: Yeah, but his is only 120 proof and mine's 130.
- 25:32Speaker 6: 35 points something 31.8.
- 25:34Speaker 3: 131.8.
- 25:38Speaker 4: I mean he offered to get me a sample.
- 25:40Speaker 4: Hey, hey.
- 25:41Speaker 3: C T.
- 25:41Speaker 3: I'll get you a sample of that too.
- 25:44Speaker 3: That's a kind of guy 32.4.
- 25:48Speaker 6: My ass.
- 25:49Speaker 3: Damn yeah, but it's not not an Ohio pick.
- 25:52Speaker 3: What, what.
- 25:57Speaker 6: It's last year's barrel pick fool.
- 25:59Speaker 3: And you didn't even open it.
- 26:00Speaker 3: What?
- 26:04Speaker 4: Open it.
- 26:04Speaker 4: Open it.
- 26:05Speaker 3: Open it, open it, open it.
- 26:08Speaker 4: He's a special guest to come on and open it.
- 26:11Speaker 4: So anyways, all right, so let's just get back.
- 26:13Speaker 3: All right.
- 26:15Speaker 4: I love you brother.
- 26:16Speaker 3: Cheers, brother, yeah, you too.
- 26:19Speaker 6: Take that to the house.
- 26:21Speaker 4: So, so you know, hey, now I'm going to bring something special to open up with you, brother.
- 26:27Speaker 6: All right, I'm in.
- 26:29Speaker 4: I will.
- 26:32Speaker 3: Bring me a batch of old Carter number nine.
- 26:35Speaker 6: Hey, speaking of so, have you guys opened your select?
- 26:39Speaker 6: So last year, talking about Bartstown, have you opened the select stock yet?
- 26:43Speaker 3: Yes, the private.
- 26:44Speaker 3: Oh, it's on a.
- 26:46Speaker 3: It's a different level.
- 26:48Speaker 4: It really was.
- 26:49Speaker 4: I just do that in open mind and I don't know what I'm waiting on.
- 26:53Speaker 6: It's a toasted barrel, which is you know.
- 26:55Speaker 6: I think that we opened it the other night with some friends.
- 26:58Speaker 6: I've got a lot.
- 26:59Speaker 6: It's good.
- 27:01Speaker 4: I don't know what I'm waiting on, but I probably to build some more shows because I've got no more room on the ones that I've built.
- 27:07Speaker 4: I've got seven hundred seven bottles in there open now, but I've really been wanting to get to it.
- 27:16Speaker 3: My, my favorite store going on this year my favorite store has become home goods, because I walk in there every time.
- 27:24Speaker 6: What did you just think?
- 27:26Speaker 3: I walk in there every time and I this right here, this shelf home goods, the last, this shelf right down here I can find shelving for my whiskey.
- 27:37Speaker 3: That just perfectly fits, but I filled it.
- 27:42Speaker 3: It was a month ago.
- 27:43Speaker 3: Plus, you know what CT?
- 27:45Speaker 3: They have rocks glasses.
- 27:48Speaker 3: They have rocks glasses there that that are phenomenal and they're cheap.
- 27:53Speaker 3: I mean, they've got.
- 27:56Speaker 6: I bought some there, but not from home goods, it's been like Marshall's or whatever.
- 28:00Speaker 6: But I have so many freaking glasses.
- 28:03Speaker 5: I yeah, but this but I'm there and I'm looking and I like the design.
- 28:08Speaker 6: And then I look at you know, I'm looking at a set of four, many, many carons, but you need glasses are the ones from Barstown bourbon company that they make their old fashions, or whatever drinks that you take with you when you leave.
- 28:20Speaker 6: Those are the best ones.
- 28:22Speaker 3: This one right here.
- 28:23Speaker 3: This is what I want to call all of my drinking glasses for water.
- 28:27Speaker 3: Now on the podcast yeah it's nice crystal, isn't that?
- 28:31Speaker 3: And that is from home goods for for 250 a piece.
- 28:36Speaker 3: I mean, I'm just like what it's just like.
- 28:40Speaker 3: Ah, you get a good deal there.
- 28:42Speaker 3: There's no doubt.
- 28:43Speaker 4: It's a good, believe it, or not my drinking, my drinking glass for water my wife gave me.
- 28:49Speaker 6: Yeah, Am I starting to be drinking water Dude?
- 28:53Speaker 3: You have to up your game this in season five, because right now I feel like I'm in your bedroom and Sherry is just waiting to come go to bed.
- 29:07Speaker 4: What, what Sherry in there, what, what?
- 29:14Speaker 3: So anyways.
- 29:15Speaker 3: So then, me and CT did a really, we went to the Galena whiskey festival with the Blonde Brothers and I am going to tonight for Matt.
- 29:27Speaker 3: And what?
- 29:30Speaker 3: What's Matt?
- 29:32Speaker 3: And what's his brother, mike Lens?
- 29:34Speaker 3: And what?
- 29:35Speaker 3: What?
- 29:35Speaker 4: Look at this Blonde Brothers?
- 29:38Speaker 4: How come yours isn't open?
- 29:42Speaker 4: Jeff Dude, you don't like Blonde Brothers, I like them 136.9 folks, mine's just a regular hundred proof.
- 29:57Speaker 3: And that's not bourbon, that's right.
- 29:59Speaker 3: You can do the ride.
- 30:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I couldn't do the ride.
- 30:02Speaker 3: You don't even, don't even Nash, you know I can't do rides.
- 30:10Speaker 4: I was just saying I only had a sample of Blonde Brothers.
- 30:13Speaker 4: A friend of mine from Indiana Senate, Jimmy, Did you like it?
- 30:21Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 30:23Speaker 6: That was like three years ago.
- 30:25Speaker 6: Yeah, that's something that's changed a lot, though, this year.
- 30:29Speaker 6: Nash, if you think about it with Jeff is that all the time before anti-ri guy, and now he actually doesn't say that anymore because he actually has found that he likes a lot of rides.
- 30:42Speaker 4: Who Me?
- 30:44Speaker 4: Yeah, he is.
- 30:45Speaker 4: He's changed.
- 30:46Speaker 4: His palette has definitely evolved over the last couple of seasons.
- 30:50Speaker 4: I'm going to drink this ride because it's delicious.
- 30:55Speaker 3: You know honestly 136 proof what I give.
- 30:59Speaker 3: I give Jason Thompson of Justin Thompson.
- 31:11Speaker 6: I'm going to be up early tomorrow Then where are you going Tomorrow?
- 31:18Speaker 4: You're going somewhere tomorrow, no, just for Friday Football.
- 31:25Speaker 3: Football yes.
- 31:26Speaker 3: Yeah, he's not.
- 31:27Speaker 3: He see.
- 31:27Speaker 3: Oh, no, I'm sorry.
- 31:30Speaker 6: I'm going to watershed tomorrow after lunch to try the OHL Cupics For fucking lunch I got corn juice.
- 31:41Speaker 4: I got corn juice.
- 31:42Speaker 3: I'm sorry, let's see I got two hours to watershed, so I will leave at 10, meet you there at noon for lunch and get back by three.
- 31:57Speaker 4: I'm going to have to leave here at four.
- 31:59Speaker 4: I can leave here at four and I'll be there at 12.
- 32:04Speaker 3: So all right.
- 32:05Speaker 3: So we hit Galena Whiskey Festival, me and CT, and that road trip was awesome.
- 32:12Speaker 3: And then we hit Thornton on the way back Distillery and got to meet Ari and with Dead Drop and their stuff is fantastic in what they're doing.
- 32:28Speaker 3: Haven't had too much contact with them since, but you know they are in.
- 32:33Speaker 3: I want to.
- 32:35Speaker 6: Yeah, and it's still a brand that we're not going to see around here.
- 32:39Speaker 6: But that's the place that I think we all have agreed and, if you've seen the videos that we posted, one of the coolest places to get out and go to.
- 32:48Speaker 6: I mean, all these distilleries have unique things, old things about them, but I don't know that if I never went to another distillery for the rest of my life, I would not.
- 32:58Speaker 6: That would be the place that just sticks in your head because of that artesian spring underground.
- 33:04Speaker 3: I will say Ari, as the master distiller, had a uniqueness to himself, training in Scotland for a year and then coming over here making some bourbon but then getting into that American single malt.
- 33:18Speaker 3: He was a finesse distiller.
- 33:22Speaker 3: He really kind of gets, his palate is good, he gets distilling in the the.
- 33:28Speaker 3: Uh, he's not that, but whatever.
- 33:32Speaker 3: It just seemed like there was some finesse to him.
- 33:35Speaker 3: The only distiller I think that I've met that's close to him is, uh, bishop, I mean.
- 33:42Speaker 6: Bishop's insane.
- 33:43Speaker 3: Do you have Alan a lot, just talking to you Alan's more of an earthy close to God distiller and close to history distiller, and where Ari was just had that, there was something to him that you know what, what he was doing and everything you tasted was just like a palate frenzy, so that I just would like to buy their, their, uh, chicago or their Illinois pitted single malt.
- 34:13Speaker 3: I mean, that was I'm not a fan of Pete, but what was in that barrel I was a fan of and and we learned that the previous owner of the distillery, back and during prohibition, was none other than you remember what the previous distiller from?
- 34:31Speaker 6: that own that distillery.
- 34:34Speaker 3: Al Capone right.
- 34:35Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah.
- 34:36Speaker 6: So it was a brewery line you know, because Capone was using it to get his stuff that he needed.
- 34:43Speaker 6: That wasn't allowed to be made.
- 34:45Speaker 3: Yep, that's cool, they are brewing beer.
- 34:48Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly that's what they said.
- 34:53Speaker 3: So, um, you know.
- 34:54Speaker 3: And then also, we can't forget, uh, our our tour at log still with Charlie and got to see what they're doing there.
- 35:02Speaker 3: I can't wait to get back to Kentucky bourbon festival this year and our our bus tour this year includes log still.
- 35:09Speaker 3: And this week I found out, not only are we and I asked Charlie if we can thief while we're at log still, so, but then find out they're catering our lunch and then, although they catering our lunch, the chef there is going to be doing our lunch, so that log still.
- 35:28Speaker 3: So, although they're no longer our official, they've, they've um.
- 35:32Speaker 3: After this quarter they've opted out of uh, you know, being our sponsor.
- 35:36Speaker 3: We'd love to thank log still, wally Lynn and Charlie for for the support because they some.
- 35:45Speaker 6: I read Lynn's right a few months ago when I was there with Stacy and I really had a great time talking to Lynn.
- 35:52Speaker 4: I'm excited to run into her again when we get the bars down, so oh yeah all, all three of them super great, super nice, and they've helped us along the every since we've we've been into this and and can't say enough about them uh, their hospitality and their friendship and and just you know everything about them and and what they're doing there at log still has been amazing.
- 36:18Speaker 3: And they should keep doing it.
- 36:19Speaker 3: I mean, and we're going to keep doing what we do.
- 36:22Speaker 3: Just, I understand they're they're not the the one of our main sponsors anymore, but we support log still and everything they're doing, because, because they supported us, I mean, you can't, you know, certain things end and new beginnings happen, so that that's amazing.
- 36:40Speaker 3: And so then which?
- 36:44Speaker 4: well, uh, while we're talking about log still and uh J W Dan, which is an ancestor of theirs, which they've uh, uh, which created J W Dan is the one that created the, the log still itself, and which they modeled all their stuff behind.
- 37:04Speaker 4: I just happened to have a bottle of uh J W Dan 1969.
- 37:12Speaker 4: Oh my gosh.
- 37:16Speaker 4: This is such a dark, caramel, clear, amber bourbon and I mean it is just so, so good and I'm going to bring it up for you guys to sample.
- 37:31Speaker 3: Well, just think about it.
- 37:33Speaker 3: We're going to bring it up and we're going to sample that shit on the bus tour.
- 37:37Speaker 3: Right.
- 37:38Speaker 3: Nope.
- 37:40Speaker 4: No, no, no, because there's not enough.
- 37:43Speaker 4: So much, so much of this.
- 37:46Speaker 3: Yeah, but but bring it.
- 37:48Speaker 4: This is going to be sampled around the campfire and those that, those that come to the campfire, Okay, that's fine, but guess what?
- 37:57Speaker 3: I'm bringing some special stuff for the bus.
- 37:59Speaker 3: Yeah, but that.
- 38:00Speaker 3: But we are going Seriously, we're going to log still and that's going to be a big part.
- 38:06Speaker 3: Why don't you just bring it and we'll sample it with Wally and Charlie and Lynn?
- 38:12Speaker 3: Yeah, wally, charlie and Lynn, not on the bus, we'll just drink it at log.
- 38:18Speaker 3: Still, you got it.
- 38:20Speaker 3: Do you know how shit.
- 38:22Speaker 4: I had to decant this because of the uh, the cork was so bad and all that, so we had to decant it.
- 38:29Speaker 4: Yeah, we had to get it to me but, uh, it came in a Mount Rushmore decanter and all and it's so cool, but it's a 1969 and this stuff is just amazing.
- 38:43Speaker 4: I can't believe how clear it all came out.
- 38:46Speaker 3: I actually, and I understand JW Dant is not distilled at log.
- 38:51Speaker 3: Still we have you know.
- 38:52Speaker 3: You could say that where it is, but I like the brand itself as far as a drinkability brand.
- 39:00Speaker 6: So anyways, let's let's.
- 39:01Speaker 6: Unique about theirs is like those older bottles at JW dance still look very much like the bottle today.
- 39:08Speaker 3: They have.
- 39:08Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that that label has not changed, so that that's really cool.
- 39:14Speaker 3: And then, uh, so then you get in.
- 39:17Speaker 3: After that we went down a couple more times.
- 39:21Speaker 6: We all met, we met, we met with Randy for lunch on the way or breakfast on the way back.
- 39:25Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, that was, yeah, we were.
- 39:28Speaker 3: So the unique thing about Galena is it's a town that's on the Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois border and then 20 miles north is the Minnesota border, so within 20 miles you can be in four different states.
- 39:46Speaker 3: But when we went looking for we were, yep, there's our, there's the crystal Glen Karen, and uh, yeah, I'll get into that.
- 39:56Speaker 4: We went or, yes, the Scotty Brevin boys, but we'll get into that later.
- 40:04Speaker 3: Yep, we'll talk about the crystal Glen Karen uh club, because we have a couple spots open for that.
- 40:11Speaker 4: So we'll talk about that near the end.
- 40:12Speaker 4: But let's you get back to the story of uh rent Randy.
- 40:18Speaker 3: Yeah, we were on our way home, and uh, randy was in Wisconsin at his uh family farm, and on our way home, we all met for breakfast in Wisconsin.
- 40:29Speaker 3: Uh, and that, even that area, uh, what was it?
- 40:34Speaker 3: Uh, ct, the the liquor stores right there on the border.
- 40:38Speaker 3: I think we went to three different liquor stores in three different states.
- 40:44Speaker 6: That was liquor stores for us.
- 40:46Speaker 6: We're like going to Toys R Us.
- 40:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:49Speaker 3: There, what, what we came home with is insane.
- 40:52Speaker 3: It was us, and then the tequila, and then and then even the absent that they had there.
- 40:57Speaker 3: I couldn't believe it.
- 40:58Speaker 3: They had absent imported from France, that uh.
- 41:02Speaker 3: So I mean the.
- 41:03Speaker 3: It was just a cool, cool experience, that's for sure.
- 41:08Speaker 3: The festival was amazing.
- 41:10Speaker 3: The Blonde brothers, uh, they, they put that festival on and it was.
- 41:15Speaker 3: We were on both sessions and absolutely loved every second of it.
- 41:21Speaker 3: So that that tour between the that and then meeting Randy and then going to see in Thornton, and we met somebody else.
- 41:29Speaker 3: Oh Martin Duffy.
- 41:32Speaker 3: Mr Duffy was the reason.
- 41:34Speaker 3: So the reason why we went to Galena whiskey festival is because in 2018, he went to Galena West uh whiskey festival and I saw it and I mentioned some to to him, and then in 2019 he was there again and I was going to Kentucky bourbon festival.
- 41:52Speaker 3: So I always wanted to go, but then, you know, the the world went to shit and it finally re uh surfaced, uh, this year, and me and CT made sure we.
- 42:06Speaker 3: So this year's festival, uh guys, I'm announcing I want to go to New Orleans.
- 42:11Speaker 3: So let's make our plans to go to the New Orleans whiskey festival this year.
- 42:15Speaker 3: So that's, that's my.
- 42:17Speaker 3: We should all go down there.
- 42:19Speaker 3: Get down there.
- 42:20Speaker 3: That festival is.
- 42:22Speaker 3: I mean it's the same the New Orleans week whiskey festival.
- 42:28Speaker 3: I believe it's the same week.
- 42:31Speaker 3: It's in March again.
- 42:33Speaker 3: It's almost the same weekend as the Galena whiskey festival.
- 42:39Speaker 4: Yeah, I need to.
- 42:40Speaker 4: I need to know the dates because I'm already looking at dates in April to uh, going on a cruise down to oh, come on.
- 42:51Speaker 3: What are you going to do, so you?
- 42:53Speaker 4: got married this year.
- 42:54Speaker 4: You got, yeah, you got married this year and now.
- 42:59Speaker 3: So it's Sherry Sherry pregnant yet.
- 43:01Speaker 3: So that are you guys having Sherry pregnant yet Is she going to have a kid?
- 43:07Speaker 4: Oh no, she's going to have a baby.
- 43:09Speaker 6: He's being a mule for Turner.
- 43:11Speaker 6: He's bringing back runs for Turner.
- 43:13Speaker 4: That's what it's about, oh yeah.
- 43:20Speaker 3: So anyways, all right, so that.
- 43:22Speaker 3: So we did that Then we or next to Venezuela.
- 43:26Speaker 3: So.
- 43:27Speaker 3: So, nash, I really think, although you missed the one, then we basically me, you and CT meet in Louisville and that weekend I mean even the Airbnb we stayed at was very unique and it was just a really cool weekend that we met.
- 43:49Speaker 3: And so we meet on a Friday and Friday morning, so me and CT drive down, I drive to CT's early and then we drive down.
- 44:00Speaker 3: The first thing we do is we hit Lux Row and they're releasing blood oath.
- 44:07Speaker 3: So we pick up blood oath.
- 44:10Speaker 3: Then, on the way over to Jim Beam, because we want to hit Jim Beam, we stop off at Four Roses and pick up an amazing single barrel that Brett Elliott has approved, so, and then we get to Jim Beam and meet Nash.
- 44:25Speaker 4: Because y'all picked up both of those without even telling me hey, get to Four Roses.
- 44:33Speaker 4: And I mean Four Roses was like five minutes from where I was waiting on y'all for like 30 minutes, so we could have been late to Mikters and gone back over there.
- 44:43Speaker 3: I mean, it's one per person, it's not like I can buy two bottles.
- 44:48Speaker 4: That's what I was saying.
- 44:49Speaker 4: You could have told me Nothing about the Four Roses until you got there.
- 44:56Speaker 3: Yeah, then we meet, we opened that the other night.
- 44:59Speaker 6: Well, it's been a month or two ago and, oh my gosh that's single barrel, barrel, proof.
- 45:04Speaker 3: Oh, four Roses, that's the OBSV, it's the OBSK.
- 45:09Speaker 3: Obsk that is my oh wow.
- 45:17Speaker 8: That's good.
- 45:19Speaker 4: That is one of the best.
- 45:20Speaker 4: The OBSK is one of the best tasting barrel proofs, I think.
- 45:27Speaker 3: OBSK is Brent's.
- 45:27Speaker 3: That made it feel just phenomenal.
- 45:29Speaker 3: I only like of their 10 yeast strains and their mixes, I only like two.
- 45:35Speaker 3: Otherwise Four Roses is two for me.
- 45:39Speaker 3: I just think it's there's a little bit of bitterness and there's a little bit of spiciness that I'm just not on board with.
- 45:47Speaker 3: But OBSK, obsk, right, that's it.
- 45:54Speaker 3: That one is Brent.
- 45:56Speaker 3: That's most of the time what Brent Elliott's special edition that he makes is from the OBSK.
- 46:04Speaker 6: Yeah, it's pretty good.
- 46:05Speaker 3: Yeah, it's damn good, I drank that I opened that one up and that was spectacular.
- 46:10Speaker 3: So then we meet Nash at the kitchen table at Jim Beam and we sample Charlie's batch of bookers that had just been released.
- 46:21Speaker 3: We all pick up and spend way too much money, but we got lineage Bye.
- 46:29Speaker 4: Then we basically Is that what we sampled right there.
- 46:35Speaker 3: Is that Charlie's batch?
- 46:36Speaker 3: No, it's Charlie's batch, right there.
- 46:39Speaker 3: Yep, yep, yep.
- 46:41Speaker 3: That's what I didn't get, absolutely.
- 46:43Speaker 3: I sampled it, didn't get it.
- 46:45Speaker 3: I thought I got it, and then it was batched to the apprentice, which is very delicious.
- 46:51Speaker 3: And then I go down and I bought a special bottle.
- 46:55Speaker 3: On the day my grandson was born, I was at Jim Beam and I bought a bottle of Booker's, which was, I thought, 2023, 03 batch Kentucky tea.
- 47:10Speaker 3: And then, when I got home, I realized that I bought the same bottle I did last year, because it was 2022, 03, and paid too much.
- 47:18Speaker 3: But at the same time, we all make mistakes, right?
- 47:22Speaker 3: So, anyways, we had.
- 47:26Speaker 4: I've been working for you, but we, you've been here a long time.
- 47:29Speaker 3: I was driving, I didn't even have any bourbon by the time I did that.
- 47:34Speaker 6: You missed a trip between those two, by the way.
- 47:37Speaker 6: What?
- 47:38Speaker 6: When we went to French Lick, french Lick.
- 47:45Speaker 3: Well, that's what?
- 47:46Speaker 6: yes, we, we took the girls, stayed up and breakfast and stuff and went to French Lick that week.
- 47:51Speaker 3: We picked up the bottle pick, the barrel pick.
- 47:54Speaker 3: That's when we went down and got the barrel pick, we totally just like blew by it.
- 47:58Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 48:00Speaker 4: Okay anyways.
- 48:01Speaker 4: You just mentioned it, but you know, thank you.
- 48:05Speaker 3: Thank you, ct.
- 48:05Speaker 3: That's what you're here for, so we were able to get that.
- 48:10Speaker 6: You're welcome, alan.
- 48:11Speaker 6: Thanks Alan.
- 48:12Speaker 3: Yes, Alan, and thank you, Spirit of French Lick because, thanks, alan, that's what I'm doing, because the Spirit of French Lick has been the number they sponsored us from day one.
- 48:25Speaker 6: It is Thank you.
- 48:26Speaker 4: You open that bottle and let it set for a couple of weeks.
- 48:29Speaker 4: Or it definitely.
- 48:32Speaker 4: It's probably been about two months since I visited this bottle, but oh my gosh this the flavors have opened up so good.
- 48:43Speaker 3: It's such a great bottle, visit it.
- 48:44Speaker 3: Hey, jeff, do you have a bottle of this?
- 48:50Speaker 4: Were you fortunate enough to buy a bottle, but Jeff.
- 48:54Speaker 3: I still have.
- 48:55Speaker 3: Hey no, but I have one.
- 48:58Speaker 3: And then, oh wait, I've got one.
- 49:02Speaker 3: I've got one open.
- 49:04Speaker 3: Do you want to sell one?
- 49:06Speaker 3: I've got them.
- 49:07Speaker 3: I've got them to sell.
- 49:08Speaker 3: No shit really.
- 49:11Speaker 3: No, wait a second.
- 49:14Speaker 3: No, I don't have them to sell, I can voucher you one.
- 49:20Speaker 4: Can you gift me one like a voucher or something where I can gift one from a friend?
- 49:32Speaker 3: Just straight up.
- 49:33Speaker 3: Hey, can you move that bottle to your right, just to hear hey, nash, I can.
- 49:39Speaker 3: Yeah, don't move it that far.
- 49:42Speaker 3: Hey Nash, I can gift you one, but it won't be from a friend.
- 49:47Speaker 3: What?
- 49:51Speaker 3: Yeah, fucker.
- 49:56Speaker 4: Anyways, all right.
- 49:57Speaker 4: No, I don't want a bottle, I just want a voucher.
- 50:00Speaker 4: So I want you to gift me a voucher so I can gift it to a friend of a friend of a friend, all right.
- 50:09Speaker 3: so anyways, that pick that, picking that up, and that's the first time that I was able to use my thief that my wife had given me for my birthday.
- 50:22Speaker 3: It was that brandy Merrill, what's the name of it?
- 50:29Speaker 3: We learned all about it when Alan came on.
- 50:34Speaker 6: The.
- 50:34Speaker 6: I can never say it.
- 50:39Speaker 3: I'll name it the Paladormo.
- 50:44Speaker 4: No, it's the Palindrome.
- 50:46Speaker 3: Palindrome.
- 50:47Speaker 3: No, it's the Palindrome.
- 50:50Speaker 4: Apple Brandy.
- 50:50Speaker 3: That's I thief 134.7 proof.
- 50:54Speaker 4: And the only reason I know that is because I took a bottle down to Myrtle Beach with my sister-in-law and, oh my God, there was about that much left the next morning between me and her and my knee is still messed up because somehow I fell over.
- 51:11Speaker 4: I don't know whether she said I was dancing.
- 51:14Speaker 4: I swear to God, her and Sherry pushed me over the coffee table to this day, but my knee is still messed up from about a week before our birthday back in May, I think I tore my meniscus.
- 51:31Speaker 3: Anyways okay, so, but the Palindrome, the Palindrome yes.
- 51:37Speaker 4: And that was the first barrel that I ever thief.
- 51:41Speaker 3: With my whiskey thief.
- 51:43Speaker 3: So the whiskey thief, this came into effect in season.
- 51:48Speaker 3: It was the most Apple brand you've ever.
- 51:50Speaker 3: This whiskey thief came into effect in season four, so and it's gonna be used a lot down in Kentucky Barber and Fastball.
- 51:58Speaker 3: This is gonna get into some serious barrel thieving.
- 52:04Speaker 3: Get your cameras ready, boys, because we will come home with some reels.
- 52:10Speaker 3: Yep, indian Creek and now so we got a minute.

- 52:25Speaker 4: There's you, let him in here.
- 52:26Speaker 4: He's part of this.
- 52:29Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 52:30Speaker 4: I'll shoot it to him.
- 52:33Speaker 3: You can.
- 52:34Speaker 3: I put it on your phone.
- 52:35Speaker 3: Just forwarded to him.
- 52:37Speaker 3: Did you got it?
- 52:41Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 52:45Speaker 3: No oh.
- 52:46Speaker 6: But yeah, so you gotta talk about we went to Indian Creek.
- 52:51Speaker 3: Yeah, which we went to there.
- 52:53Speaker 3: There's another time that you invited me down to Columbus and they were having their cigar and whiskey event and it was fantastic.
- 53:06Speaker 3: We got to smoke some really good cigars and drink some really good whiskey.
- 53:11Speaker 3: But their names Joe Deeping, what's, what's?
- 53:18Speaker 3: Misty, misty and Joe.
- 53:22Speaker 3: Misty and Joe.
- 53:22Speaker 3: It's there, it comes, it comes right in there.
- 53:25Speaker 3: Yeah, Misty and Joe took us into their barrel aging barn, which was really cool.
- 53:31Speaker 3: We thiefed a coffee infused barrel.
- 53:38Speaker 3: That was fantastic.
- 53:38Speaker 3: We thiefed a couple of bourbons and it was really, really nice of them to let us do that.
- 53:45Speaker 3: Now they're gonna be opening their kind of their bar speakeasy, kind of saloon the rim yeah, so, that's coming up.
- 53:54Speaker 3: That's gotta be getting close, right?
- 53:57Speaker 3: Yeah, it's it's, it's.
- 54:00Speaker 6: I don't know how long it'll take to finish, but they have everything there.
- 54:03Speaker 6: They brought in a lot of things from other states, some limestone to build the fireplace.
- 54:10Speaker 6: She has all the furniture for it.
- 54:12Speaker 6: I mean, it's gonna be just a killer, killer environment.
- 54:19Speaker 3: Yeah, it's gonna be a lot of fun, but it's been.
- 54:22Speaker 6: You know, really neat for me because that's my backyard, literally.
- 54:26Speaker 6: I grew up right around the corner from from Staley.
- 54:29Speaker 6: That's why I'm wearing the long the you know the the shirt thing, because Indian Creek is the brand.
- 54:38Speaker 6: But you know, staley Road and the family was this, you know, staley's, that's that's her heritage, so, yep, and she has a whiskey named after them.
- 54:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I have it right there.
- 54:52Speaker 6: Staley Rye whiskey.
- 54:53Speaker 6: Yep, here's.
- 54:53Speaker 6: Andrew.
- 54:55Speaker 4: Glad you're tuning in and watching us, brother.
- 54:57Speaker 6: Hey, Andrew, I'll see you on Thursday, sir, ready to have a good time without Jeff.

- 55:51Speaker 3: What barrel heads, packed and ready.
- 55:53Speaker 6: None, none, none, none.
- 55:55Speaker 6: What?
- 55:56Speaker 6: You just just just a barrel head.
- 55:59Speaker 6: It's just one of these old wooden barrels.
- 56:02Speaker 6: You know that they store this shit in Ah.
- 56:06Speaker 3: Ah, ah.
- 56:07Speaker 3: I wish I could show you the hole on my fireplace.
- 56:13Speaker 3: I told I told Roxy this weekend I'm like I'm gonna need a barrel head.
- 56:21Speaker 3: I need to fill that there because I've got the two here, and then I've got the Luca Mariano on one side of the fireplace and the whatever, and then I think I'm gonna frame.
- 56:31Speaker 3: I don't know if I'm gonna frame A barrel head or hang the AJ Hawk.
- 56:35Speaker 3: Andrew got the Jersey.
- 56:38Speaker 3: I think I'm just gonna hang it from the mantle.
- 56:41Speaker 6: Can it go above it?
- 56:44Speaker 3: Nah, the Buffalo Trace clocks above it, so it won't, but it could.
- 56:49Speaker 3: It could actually just physically hang from the mantle.
- 56:55Speaker 3: You know cause?
- 56:57Speaker 3: This isn't an active fireplace.
- 56:58Speaker 3: It I could make it an active fireplace, but there's been.
- 57:01Speaker 3: I've been here 19 years.

- 57:34Speaker 4: I think that looks better on you.
- 57:36Speaker 3: Yeah, except you just have to get the lighting right, that's for sure.
- 57:41Speaker 4: How the hell did you do that shit?
- 57:43Speaker 3: Yeah, that's some good.
- 57:44Speaker 3: That's the you should be able to make.

- 57:55Speaker 3: Oh my God, get that in the hallway for me.
- 57:57Speaker 4: Put the bed in there.
- 57:59Speaker 3: So everybody, so last year, during in season three, that's when I met whiskey, but he came on again and really started to be part of the podcast in season four when we were at Kentucky Bourbon Festival, I think what we've done as far as solidifying us and how much we can provide you know, you guys, it's so great to have people who help out making the podcast what it is.
- 58:32Speaker 3: So, thank you guys.
- 58:34Speaker 3: So, the.
- 58:38Speaker 8: Everybody knows that you say I can't be in Chris's the Brains.
- 58:42Speaker 4: That's exactly.
- 58:43Speaker 4: I exactly solidify what Jeff is saying.
- 58:49Speaker 4: It's so much better having somebody come in here and help you know, after me being here and doing all the work and just supporting him and just helping Jeff along and just bringing him all this way, and then finally having somebody to help me help him, you know it was Nash.
- 59:12Speaker 8: I'm actually gonna crack this.
- 59:13Speaker 8: Oh, you can't quite.
- 59:14Speaker 8: There it is.

- 59:55Speaker 8: Wow Nash, holy crap, that is.
- 1:00:00Speaker 8: That is nice.
- 1:00:03Speaker 8: Can you not find yours, jeff?
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: Nope.
- 1:00:08Speaker 8: I know it's got big words on it.
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: Nash has sent me so much shit.
- 1:00:17Speaker 4: He's got a shelf just full of samples.
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: He never drinks them, you know, until somebody calls him out on them.

- 1:00:47Speaker 6: Let me go get mine hold on.
- 1:00:47Speaker 6: It doesn't actually say Parker's.
- 1:00:49Speaker 6: I was waiting to catch up with you, nash, before I cracked this.
- 1:00:52Speaker 6: I just thought that was the right thing to do.
- 1:00:54Speaker 8: So.
- 1:00:54Speaker 8: Hey bourbon, that's awesome.
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: So Parker's last bottle while he was alive, in 2019,.
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: Before he passed away was a rye and I had a chance to get it but it was $149 at Heaven Hill and it was there and I didn't do it because it was a rye.
- 1:01:16Speaker 6: This year's is a rye I know, and I ain't doing it this year.
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: Just so y'all know we're gonna be picking on the barrel pick.

- 1:01:32Speaker 8: Hey.
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: I've been missing you.
- 1:01:33Speaker 4: I've been missing you.
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: I have a suggestion.
- 1:01:37Speaker 8: Yeah, so I know that this is the end of season four and I showed up for about as much of the podcast as I show up for the podcast during the year.
- 1:01:45Speaker 8: However, ct, I need you.
- 1:01:50Speaker 8: Nash to back me up on this.
- 1:01:52Speaker 8: Okay, I think to kick off season five, we should livestream on Saturday night from Kentucky Bourbon Festival waxing Jeff's chest.
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: It's not happening.
- 1:02:06Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I shave my chest.
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: There's, I don't.
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: I shave it.
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: He says that now Wait till I bring some stuff down there and he gets to drinking.
- 1:02:18Speaker 6: Yeah, we get to drinking.
- 1:02:20Speaker 6: We're running around there with those shirt on with a stick on it mud fossils, testicles and shit.
- 1:02:28Speaker 6: Exactly.
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: You see, it's not gonna take a while You're getting with the fire After about six or seven pours of what I bring down there.
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: Yeah, there ain't no telling what he'll let us do.
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: Okay, anyways, I mean you know well.
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: Fuck that fighting cock.
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: I didn't know that in a physical sense.
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: I will tell you, randy is watching tonight and he says hi, y'all.
- 1:02:55Speaker 6: So there you go.
- 1:02:56Speaker 6: We need to behave.
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: No, we don't.
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: No, he's off for it.
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: I gotta finish off.
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: I gotta finish off the break.
- 1:03:07Speaker 6: Yes, randy, thank you for everything this year Cause for me especially and I'm sure I speak of everyone for the first year that I've been involved with this group.
- 1:03:18Speaker 6: You have been incredible awesome.
- 1:03:21Speaker 6: I have enjoyed learning a lot from you.
- 1:03:25Speaker 6: I'm going to enjoy learning more and I think it's incredible what you've done with this festival.
- 1:03:31Speaker 6: From what I've heard and what I know, what I've seen of it, it's great to be a part of it.
- 1:03:37Speaker 6: So thank you for everything you've done for us.
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what we gotta get into, because I solidify that and back that up 100%.
- 1:03:50Speaker 4: Thanks, el Presidente.
- 1:03:51Speaker 4: I mean Love you brother.
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: From that canceled festival that led to the virtual festival when we basically went down on the week that Kentucky Bourbon Festival is supposed to be there and Randy came and podcasted with us about what was going to happen.
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: Randy has been nothing but spectacular to the Scotchy Bourbon boys and he's our El Presidente.
- 1:04:19Speaker 3: He got that name he named Super Nash I mean that's where I came from.
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: Yeah, he gave me my podcast name, and the night that we met with him at the house in Kentucky sure did.
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: So you know we salute you and honor you and you've been such a big supporter and Order friend, reason why the podcast has grown.
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: So we appreciate it.
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: So that's.
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: You know, I was gonna finish up with that, but since he's there, it just made sense, cause he's been up since 3.30 yesterday.
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: I, you know it's weird because I think a lot of people have myself, my cousin, I woke up early, my cousin woke up.
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: It seemed like last night there was like this alarm going off that woke everybody up, that you know people were, or it's just that everybody wants to get down to getting shit done.
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: So thanks, absolutely, there's no doubt about it.
- 1:05:25Speaker 3: So, going forward, we went down where me, ct and Nash went down, and we podcasted with Damakie, went over to Mitchers, mitchers, mikders it's just crazy.
- 1:05:44Speaker 4: And then, yeah, and then you know, President Day is gonna take the first wife with the razor too.
- 1:05:49Speaker 4: That's my fault.
- 1:05:51Speaker 4: I'm shaving that.
- 1:05:51Speaker 4: Shaving that, yes.
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: Oh, no, oh, my God, I'm shaving.
- 1:05:59Speaker 4: It's no, no, no.
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: Anyways.
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: So so we're after that.
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: We did that on Friday and then Saturday.
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: You guys, I'm just drawing a blank.
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: What did we do Saturday?
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: We did a bunch of crap on the next day.
- 1:06:21Speaker 4: No, when there we?
- 1:06:24Speaker 6: go?
- 1:06:24Speaker 6: Is that when we went over to a Turner?
- 1:06:27Speaker 3: Yes, thank you.
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: So we go to Starlight.
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: And we were like we're like that was a rum day, I mean a rum whiskey day but, that was something very unique at Starlight.
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: It was fantastic.
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: We ran around and then we ended it at Amore.
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: And you can't talk about season four without talking about Al and his fantastic food.
- 1:06:54Speaker 3: And we met Greg Schneider at Amore with Turner, which made Turner almost cry.
- 1:07:03Speaker 6: That's one of my favorite moments, honestly, of the year Is that video of Turner talking about Greg and we know Greg well and I've been fortunate to know him well this past year.
- 1:07:16Speaker 6: But, holy cow, that was amazing to listen to Turner's story about here.
- 1:07:21Speaker 6: I am sitting next to this guy and he created Rumble Reserve.
- 1:07:28Speaker 3: Yep.
- 1:07:30Speaker 4: Yeah, that was so cool.
- 1:07:31Speaker 4: That was an amazing story.
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: But then we go to Greg Schneider's house.
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: We have dinner with him.
- 1:07:39Speaker 3: He brings us a bottle of the double oak chicken got double.
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: And then we go to his house and he basically pulls out the whole collection, a whole one.
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: On his kitchen counter Out of his closet bar.
- 1:07:59Speaker 3: Then we get into turkey hunting in his days at Wild Turkey.
- 1:08:03Speaker 4: I mean, it was just a fantastic day.
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: Yeah, went upstairs into his loft and shows us some of the amazing turkeys that he had stuffed, and all Years back, yeah, that was an amazing event and some of the stories that we got, oh, my God.
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: And some of the bottles.
- 1:08:28Speaker 6: The race was hoarding the one bottle.
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: We weren't allowed to have that.
- 1:08:31Speaker 3: Look at the 10,.
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: It was in the 10 year it was.
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: How did it go?
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: Greg said it's the only bottle I don't have very much of, Just so go easy on it.
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: And then Rachel pours we're talking about your Rachel CT and she pours a full pour and both of us, or all three of us, go uh-oh, I guess we're not gonna have any of that.
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: So she drinks it, she likes it, but we just all stayed away from it.
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: But other than that, I mean I've got it right back here.
- 1:09:03Speaker 4: Fortunately, I've got a whole bottle and a half a bottle, didn't you?
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: see, but wait.
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: Oh, you used to have two bottles, but didn't you send him a 10 year?
- 1:09:17Speaker 4: No, I wasn't able to get another 10 years Okay.
- 1:09:21Speaker 4: I've got one whole bottle of a 10 year and I got a half a bottle left.
- 1:09:25Speaker 4: But yeah, yeah, what?
- 1:09:27Speaker 8: a meeting.
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: He's got that little partial bottle of the 10 year, but that's the only thing that he's not been able to find and I'm not been able to find any more of it left either.
- 1:09:38Speaker 4: Hold on, yeah, that's some.
- 1:09:43Speaker 4: That is some really good stuff.
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: And, like he admitted that, yeah, that was some of the best stuff they ever laid down.
- 1:09:51Speaker 4: Was that 10 year chicken cup?
- 1:09:52Speaker 4: That's it right there.
- 1:09:54Speaker 4: I got some.
- 1:09:55Speaker 3: Yep.
- 1:09:56Speaker 4: Yeah, that was a sample of it right there and that's a sample of the open bottle that I have about a half a bottle left of that's open and I got one, and nationally dunk is not nationally dunk is nuts, and that one twice.
- 1:10:09Speaker 4: No, I thought it was three times on that one.
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: But that's because you thought.
- 1:10:16Speaker 4: I thought it was three times the charm.
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: But you know that, carl, that that bottle of Parker's heritage, he did it four times and that's why it's a little bit nutty.
- 1:10:27Speaker 4: No, it's double nutty.
- 1:10:30Speaker 4: No, that was only for Jeff's stuff, well, not yours, carl.
- 1:10:39Speaker 8: Jeff is so happy with that dad joke, I mean you're so proud of himself.
- 1:10:44Speaker 8: Right now, I am proud of myself.
- 1:10:45Speaker 3: I went right back at you with your humor.
- 1:10:49Speaker 8: Dude, I'm going to get you a sticker.
- 1:10:51Speaker 8: Double nuts, get you a little star for the top of that.
- 1:10:58Speaker 3: I wish I was twins.
- 1:10:59Speaker 3: Yeah, but up up.
- 1:11:06Speaker 4: Oh my God, but up, up, but up up.
- 1:11:11Speaker 6: Anyways, we did, we finished there, we stopped.
- 1:11:13Speaker 6: We stopped somewhere on the way home.
- 1:11:16Speaker 6: We stopped at Neely.
- 1:11:19Speaker 3: No, no revival.
- 1:11:22Speaker 4: We go to whiskey, we get past the.
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: No, we did the whiskey thing.
- 1:11:28Speaker 4: Hey, hey, Nash, Nash weekend is lasting longer than the whole year and the whole when you were there we stopped at no, no, no, carl, have their moment.
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, that's the next time we went down with Carl.
- 1:11:46Speaker 8: It was just pride week.
- 1:11:47Speaker 8: Let them have their minute.
- 1:11:48Speaker 8: I mean, you know they need a hug.
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: He was there too.
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: What the shit?
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: No, we weren't.
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: No, you were there, nash.
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: No, I wasn't.
- 1:11:59Speaker 3: Yeah, pride boy, I didn't come up for going, I think that's what we should change your name to pride boy.
- 1:12:09Speaker 4: You might have wanted me up there, but I was not coming up for pride weekend.
- 1:12:12Speaker 4: I wasn't here.
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: I'm.
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: I left Anyways.
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: That's why did we go?
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: That's just not where we want to go.
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: I respect the hell out of all people's rights.
- 1:12:29Speaker 3: I'm going to say they're left.
- 1:12:35Speaker 6: Oh God, when do we go after that?
- 1:12:36Speaker 6: I can't.
- 1:12:38Speaker 3: I'm trying to think what was the next trip?
- 1:12:39Speaker 3: So so when we were there, when we went to whiskey thief, didn't we hang out Right there with oh?
- 1:12:48Speaker 6: well, Carl came that time because that's when Carl got the cigars.
- 1:12:52Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, carl.
- 1:12:54Speaker 3: So that's, that's the next trip.
- 1:12:56Speaker 3: So we were done with that trip.
- 1:12:58Speaker 3: We had brunch with Randy and Kate and the boys and everybody parted the parted ways.
- 1:13:04Speaker 3: Then we went down again with Andrew.
- 1:13:07Speaker 3: Andrew is now the official security of the scotchy bourbon boys.
- 1:13:12Speaker 6: We had all fuck with us.
- 1:13:13Speaker 6: Andrew on you.
- 1:13:15Speaker 4: Yep Andrew's got that El President Day and actually you're going to see us in less, about a week and a half, not a few weeks.
- 1:13:26Speaker 4: You said that El President Day, randy.
- 1:13:34Speaker 3: If you like, a Chardonnay.
- 1:13:35Speaker 3: This Parker's heritage is fantastic, fantastic.
- 1:13:40Speaker 3: It's it's got a ton of oak on that finish Like there's so much oak but it's sweet.
- 1:13:49Speaker 3: But you got to like that oaky taste.
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: You know what I mean.
- 1:13:54Speaker 3: There's no tobacco.
- 1:13:57Speaker 8: We all know that you're a big fan of wood.
- 1:13:59Speaker 8: Yeah, sure.
- 1:14:04Speaker 3: I'm only a fan of oak wood.
- 1:14:06Speaker 3: There you go, sure.
- 1:14:10Speaker 8: You call it whatever you want to brother.
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: Oh, I would.
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: Hey, carl, I wouldn't call it that, I call it with you brother.
- 1:14:19Speaker 4: Yeah, 100%, You're with who you.
- 1:14:24Speaker 4: Thank you, I'm with you, brother.
- 1:14:27Speaker 4: No but there's a lot of stand behind you.
- 1:14:36Speaker 3: You guys, we are digressing beside you.
- 1:14:39Speaker 3: I just it's, it's insane that I'm just keep looking at whiskey sitting at my bar.
- 1:14:44Speaker 3: It's just like you get the lighting right there and it's just.
- 1:14:47Speaker 3: I think we all need to do that for next season, we all need to have our backdrop.
- 1:14:52Speaker 6: Yeah, that would be pretty cool.
- 1:14:54Speaker 4: I want to take off my glasses and clean them, because it just is just weird.
- 1:14:58Speaker 4: He's like the opposite.
- 1:15:00Speaker 3: He's not in focus, he's blurry, but the background's in focus.
- 1:15:04Speaker 3: It's just the opposite of what the what the Apple phone does.
- 1:15:10Speaker 8: But I'll change this to look like Jeff after he's been drinking here this one.
- 1:15:20Speaker 3: Oh my gosh.
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: So anyways, the trip that we went down whiskey myself, ct.
- 1:15:29Speaker 3: We went down and Andy, we started off at Buffalo trace.
- 1:15:36Speaker 3: That's when we got the Colonel Taylor and everything and I'm just a guy's at the wood shop and just had a good time at Buffalo trace.
- 1:15:52Speaker 3: And then what?
- 1:15:54Speaker 3: Then we went over to the wood shop, then we went over to with whiskey thief and at whiskey thief we didn't know.
- 1:16:05Speaker 3: No, actually we went to know.
- 1:16:10Speaker 3: But you just not going to tell no, we went to Glen's Creek next, and then that's right and talk to Dave.
- 1:16:17Speaker 3: So they're operating their operation, and then headed over to whiskey thief.
- 1:16:26Speaker 4: If either one of y'all got any Glen's Creek whiskey.
- 1:16:30Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:16:34Speaker 3: I have some it's in there, I can pull it.
- 1:16:41Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 1:16:41Speaker 4: Let me see that bottle a little closer there.
- 1:16:43Speaker 4: Is that available in South Carolina or just to their this is the premium.
- 1:16:50Speaker 4: So, this only comes out once.
- 1:16:51Speaker 4: Once a year, so you're okay.
- 1:16:54Speaker 4: Dark it is.
- 1:16:56Speaker 4: Yeah, it's speaking, how dark that is.
- 1:16:59Speaker 4: That's how dark that you remember telling about the J W Dan 19, something that I'm bringing up.
- 1:17:07Speaker 4: That's how dark that whiskey is that I'm bringing up to the festival we're going to drink on the bus, or that logs still the fillery.
- 1:17:21Speaker 6: So yeah, the regular OCD is this and then that premium.
- 1:17:25Speaker 6: You can tell it's definitely not as dark yeah.
- 1:17:27Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:17:27Speaker 6: So they're very good.
- 1:17:29Speaker 6: Yeah, I like talking to Dave, dave's.
- 1:17:35Speaker 4: Just he is a he's a he's a trip, so we, so we.
- 1:17:43Speaker 4: Yep Glimpse.
- 1:17:45Speaker 8: Or, as Jeff likes to call it, as Jeff likes to call it.
- 1:17:48Speaker 3: You know, it's just so crazy.
- 1:17:50Speaker 3: It's just like it's just a Nash goes.
- 1:17:54Speaker 3: It's just so crazy.
- 1:17:57Speaker 3: So we're gonna drink on the bus again.
- 1:18:01Speaker 3: We're just like, yeah, we're just going to come on and I'm just like going.
- 1:18:07Speaker 3: I'm fine with his comments in the comments section, but if you bring him on, he's just in a mood today.
- 1:18:15Speaker 6: He's in a mood it's like pick on everybody, just don't pick on me, motherfucker.
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: We bear keep this we bear.
- 1:18:22Speaker 8: keep this coming along.
- 1:18:23Speaker 3: That drive.
- 1:18:24Speaker 3: So we ended up going again that on Sunday we checked out headed up and we stopped off at Revival for a podcast.
- 1:18:37Speaker 3: No, actually we went to RD1 first and saw Barry and got the thief from a barrel.
- 1:18:45Speaker 6: If you look back you can see right, it wasn't the same day the same that trip.
- 1:18:49Speaker 6: When we came back didn't we stop by?
- 1:18:53Speaker 3: Neely Cause this is that when we did the Amurana Bought Barrels and the Jeff Brothers, no me and you stopped by Neely for that on the NASH trip.
- 1:19:04Speaker 3: We went back and we hit.
- 1:19:07Speaker 3: I know we did that when we went to Louisville and then we brought Barry from.
- 1:19:12Speaker 4: Lexington up to, because that's when I got the samples of the Jeff Brothers and all that.
- 1:19:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:19:20Speaker 4: And I got that bucked up.
- 1:19:21Speaker 6: I brought it out to you with you that weekend.
- 1:19:23Speaker 4: Oh yeah, y'all do a lot without me, a lot.
- 1:19:26Speaker 3: Well, but that initial trip, that trip there with Andy and Carl, we also podcasted on that Friday with Harlan Wheatley.
- 1:19:38Speaker 3: So that was Carl, andy, myself, ct, Roxy and Harlan, and we did that on Friday and then Saturday we ended up hanging out at.
- 1:19:51Speaker 3: So wait a second, I'm getting the two trips mixed up, because Roxy was not at when we went to.
- 1:20:03Speaker 3: When we went the first time with Andy, carl, me and you, roxy was not with us, but the second time down there she was with us.
- 1:20:15Speaker 8: Yes, the first time was an Ironman trip.
- 1:20:17Speaker 8: It was like leave at 4.30 in the morning, get back at like 3.30 in the morning.
- 1:20:22Speaker 3: That's right, I was driving and you were sleeping.
- 1:20:25Speaker 6: Yeah yeah, you guys dropped me off and it was almost midnight or it was midnight and I'm like holy crap, you got to drive all the way home still.
- 1:20:34Speaker 8: That was a rough, rough trip.
- 1:20:35Speaker 8: Jeff had my snoring to keep him up.
- 1:20:38Speaker 3: But seriously, ct, your way of traveling.
- 1:20:43Speaker 3: I've basically subscribed to you and you play episodes of Seinfeld.
- 1:20:53Speaker 3: You listen to them on the car radio, but they're on and you kind of glance down every once in a while or suits or whatever.
- 1:21:02Speaker 3: It makes the trip go a hell of a lot faster, I mean when we were driving.
- 1:21:07Speaker 6: I have watched Neat probably 10 times driving back and forth to.
- 1:21:11Speaker 3: Kentucky, yeah, and it just, and it makes it seem like the trip is almost like there's no time involved, whereas if you just try and drive without it and listen to the radio, it seems like it takes for fricking ever.
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: But you put on a series that you've never seen and you just listen to it and kind of glance down.
- 1:21:32Speaker 3: You're home before you know it and it's like well, that was fun.
- 1:21:37Speaker 6: Yeah, it definitely keeps you awake, which people probably think oh God, you're watching a movie while you're driving.
- 1:21:42Speaker 6: Well, you're not watching the movie, you're listening to it, but I'd rather do that than fall asleep behind the wheel.
- 1:21:47Speaker 3: I agree, because I drove to Michigan that last weekend no, the weekend before that to pick my wife up from there and I worked all day and I was tired and I was watching suits and it was 12 o'clock when I got there and there was never a time that I got that white line fever or what you know.
- 1:22:11Speaker 3: So it's kind of a cool thing.
- 1:22:12Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:22:13Speaker 3: So that brings us to.
- 1:22:16Speaker 3: I think that was our last trip when we went down and podcasted with Harlan.
- 1:22:22Speaker 3: We were, besides Supernash and Sherry, who were deciding to go get married.
- 1:22:30Speaker 3: I mean, for God's sakes, guys, congratulations, nash, you got married this year, I'm you know.
- 1:22:38Speaker 3: And congratulations to your wife, I'm so happy.
- 1:22:42Speaker 3: I remember when we first met you that when you guys came up and she got the, you know you guys were together but you weren't living together and she got that information about her knee and you guys kind of went through moving in and then moving out and then kind of, and now you guys are back together and it's just fantastic.
- 1:23:06Speaker 3: It has been all in the four years of the all four seasons.
- 1:23:11Speaker 8: Season four the marriage.
- 1:23:12Speaker 8: Season six the gloomy divorce.
- 1:23:16Speaker 3: Oh, that's not happening.
- 1:23:17Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 1:23:20Speaker 8: Season seven the bourbon auction.
- 1:23:22Speaker 4: Holy shit, oh my God, oh my God.
- 1:23:31Speaker 4: No bourbon auction, we're hiding that shit.
- 1:23:34Speaker 4: No, kidding Season five and a half the vault, the bourbon vault.
- 1:23:41Speaker 6: Season five Jeff gets new pants.
- 1:23:45Speaker 3: No, every year Jeff gets new pants.
- 1:23:48Speaker 3: Jeff likes a store.
- 1:23:52Speaker 4: We've seen the same pair of pants for two years on a road.
- 1:23:55Speaker 3: No one.
- 1:23:56Speaker 3: This year will be different.
- 1:23:56Speaker 3: I bought them last year for last year and then you quit.
- 1:24:01Speaker 3: I mean you took your shirt off, threw it at me and quit.
- 1:24:04Speaker 8: I mean you took your shirt off, threw it at me and quit.
- 1:24:07Speaker 8: I mean you took your shirt off.
- 1:24:08Speaker 8: Threw it at me and quit.
- 1:24:10Speaker 3: I mean you took your shirt off, threw it at me and quit.
- 1:24:12Speaker 3: I mean, you took your shirt off, threw it at me and quit.
- 1:24:16Speaker 3: Honestly, Jeff, you just need to quit shopping at the junior section of the Goodwill I shop at Buckle.
- 1:24:22Speaker 6: What the store in the mall called Buckle.
- 1:24:23Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, the coolest.
- 1:24:28Speaker 8: I mean, it's the coolest jeans you ever saw.
- 1:24:31Speaker 3: And you think you know that's a cool side.
- 1:24:35Speaker 3: I actually the same saleswoman that sold me the rip pants last year.
- 1:24:39Speaker 3: I was just like trying on a bunch of them and whatever, and I went with that and but she was there again this year same girl.
- 1:24:46Speaker 3: So it was kind of cool.
- 1:24:49Speaker 4: Are you sure it's a girl?
- 1:24:52Speaker 3: She was a girl.
- 1:24:53Speaker 6: She's a saleswoman.
- 1:24:54Speaker 6: She's a good girl.
- 1:24:55Speaker 6: You look amazing.
- 1:24:59Speaker 3: It's so funny, I was in there.
- 1:25:02Speaker 8: And then she said no one will ever know their girls pants.
- 1:25:05Speaker 4: No, except for whiskey.
- 1:25:08Speaker 4: But you know what?
- 1:25:12Speaker 6: The thing that it's done is it is definitely given Jeff a branding.
- 1:25:16Speaker 6: That is what it does for so many people.
- 1:25:22Speaker 6: They brand themselves with things and it's what Jeff's done, yeah it brings so much happiness to this group, you know.
- 1:25:33Speaker 4: I wouldn't feel the same if he didn't wear them a couple of times a year.
- 1:25:37Speaker 3: I mean, the place to wear them was when and we're still in season four is when we're still in season four and season four is when Nash flies up and we go to see Motley Crew and Def Leppard and, honestly, Def Leppard killed it.
- 1:25:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, where are you going to wear ripped jeans?
- 1:26:03Speaker 4: The net tank top.
- 1:26:06Speaker 3: You know what's fucked up about that when I was 19,.
- 1:26:11Speaker 3: I ordered that net tank top off of.
- 1:26:16Speaker 3: International Mail.
- 1:26:17Speaker 3: I had it and it fit perfect.
- 1:26:23Speaker 3: That's when I was doing triathlons and it was whatever it worked, but you know that only worked for about five seconds of my life.
- 1:26:35Speaker 6: Hey, carl.
- 1:26:35Speaker 6: Carl you there.
- 1:26:42Speaker 3: Hey, carl, I'm trying to come up with something based off of International Mail magazine.
- 1:26:48Speaker 8: I was just going to say, jeff, I dumbfounded him.
- 1:26:51Speaker 8: Jeff, Jeff, you said triathlons.
- 1:26:55Speaker 6: Yeah, I was going to say is that what they used to call it?
- 1:26:59Speaker 8: Yeah, is that where you walk up to the track and go gosh, that looks hard.
- 1:27:03Speaker 8: I don't think I'm going to try.
- 1:27:05Speaker 3: Nope, that's where you swim, bike and run.
- 1:27:09Speaker 3: And I did it, I trained the first year.
- 1:27:13Speaker 3: That's where you walk up to the track.
- 1:27:15Speaker 3: I was training the first year and I met my wife.
- 1:27:17Speaker 3: That's where I met Roxy and she.
- 1:27:21Speaker 3: Basically, because of what happened, I ended up with mono.
- 1:27:27Speaker 3: She had had strep throat and after two bouts of strep throat and a lot of you know antibiotics or urythmiasin which I take, I was on my third time swimming in Lake Michigan and doing all the stuff and I ended up with mono.
- 1:27:48Speaker 3: So I couldn't do it the first year.
- 1:27:51Speaker 3: So I basically started training January of the next year and was able to finish the triathlon.
- 1:27:56Speaker 4: And when I I'm sure that and I wore pants.
- 1:28:00Speaker 3: That that's not how you get mono Making out.
- 1:28:05Speaker 3: Yeah, so that next year.
- 1:28:08Speaker 3: So just so you know, at that time.
- 1:28:10Speaker 3: Do you remember the parachute pants, carl?
- 1:28:15Speaker 3: So when Roxy met me, I could fit in Mary Go-Round parachute pants Mary Go-Round.
- 1:28:24Speaker 3: Oh no, so it's been.
- 1:28:28Speaker 3: It's been that way.
- 1:28:31Speaker 3: She's expected it from the start.
- 1:28:34Speaker 6: Mary, go-round used to be the hotspot to buy your homecoming outfits and everything else.
- 1:28:41Speaker 3: Before I met Rachel, I dated the manager, a manager of a chess king.
- 1:28:48Speaker 8: What was his name?
- 1:28:50Speaker 3: Her name and I basically had leather fricking shirts.
- 1:28:55Speaker 3: I mean it was insane.
- 1:28:57Speaker 4: We do have this recorded.
- 1:28:59Speaker 4: And it just said he just said I dated the man.
- 1:29:03Speaker 4: No, I did not.
- 1:29:05Speaker 4: I dated the man, the manager, the manager it clearly says I dated the man, the manager of a chess king.
- 1:29:17Speaker 4: Yeah, he did not say the woman.
- 1:29:20Speaker 3: Yeah, he did not say the woman.
- 1:29:21Speaker 3: There's no such thing as a woman.
- 1:29:23Speaker 4: Well, I'm just saying your exact words.
- 1:29:28Speaker 4: I dated the man, the manager of chess king.
- 1:29:33Speaker 4: No, because you stopped to clear your throat or something.
- 1:29:37Speaker 4: And this is how it came out and this is how everybody heard it.
- 1:29:41Speaker 3: Okay, anyways.
- 1:29:42Speaker 3: Her name was her name was Kitty.
- 1:29:47Speaker 6: And you followed it up with.
- 1:29:48Speaker 6: You got a lot of leather shirts?
- 1:29:52Speaker 4: I did.
- 1:29:53Speaker 4: No, it wasn't.
- 1:29:55Speaker 8: I still had to pay.
- 1:29:56Speaker 8: Did they go with the leather hood?
- 1:29:59Speaker 8: No, so Honestly, I'm not glad that you went to Buckle and got a new pair of pants.
- 1:30:08Speaker 3: I'm really looking forward to.
- 1:30:09Speaker 3: And they're not ripped, so you'll be cool with it.
- 1:30:13Speaker 8: I'm betting money.
- 1:30:14Speaker 8: They're stirrup pants.
- 1:30:16Speaker 4: Nope.
- 1:30:16Speaker 4: Are you sure you're pants?
- 1:30:18Speaker 4: Nope.
- 1:30:22Speaker 3: Hey.
- 1:30:23Speaker 6: They're just worn.
- 1:30:24Speaker 6: So you're talking about chess king and Mary go around.
- 1:30:27Speaker 3: I'm not sure, I'm not sure, anyways, alright, so let's finish this up.
- 1:30:36Speaker 4: Alright, so we got time.
- 1:30:39Speaker 4: We were only almost like two thirds of the way through the year.
- 1:30:45Speaker 3: No, we.
- 1:30:45Speaker 3: What did we do after, after we did the Wheatley podcast?
- 1:30:54Speaker 4: Chicago, you left out Chicago.
- 1:30:57Speaker 3: Yeah, okay.
- 1:30:57Speaker 3: So then CT Super Nash and myself met at View Distillery in.
- 1:31:07Speaker 3: Chicago.
- 1:31:08Speaker 3: We Me and Nash Nash actually stayed an extra night at the same hotel that I had booked, and then I met him and he said I'm going to meet you because you flew in a day.
- 1:31:27Speaker 3: So after work I drove down there that night.
- 1:31:30Speaker 4: I do that a lot.
- 1:31:30Speaker 4: Let's back the story up, because you called me up and you and CT were going up to Chicago and it's like, basically, sherry had something to do and it's like this was like right there at my birthday weekend and it's like what the hell?
- 1:31:47Speaker 4: You know I'm, I was thinking about flying down to Key West and I was going fishing by myself, or you know, I was basically going to do just go anywhere by myself.
- 1:31:58Speaker 4: And then y'all tell me you too were going up to Chicago, basically without me, and it's like what the hell I?
- 1:32:08Speaker 6: thought I thought you were invited already.
- 1:32:11Speaker 4: I'm like yeah, CT yeah.
- 1:32:16Speaker 3: So, I thought the same thing.
- 1:32:17Speaker 3: I thought CT invited you already too.
- 1:32:19Speaker 4: But then, jeff, okay, do you want to come?
- 1:32:23Speaker 4: Like reluctantly and I was like hell, yes, well, I Were those, not the best pancakes ever.
- 1:32:32Speaker 6: The best pancakes you ever had.
- 1:32:33Speaker 4: Those were all incredible pancakes, you were fucking fantastic.
- 1:32:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:32:39Speaker 4: And.
- 1:32:40Speaker 4: Even though I did care at my leg you got a scar from it.
- 1:32:45Speaker 4: And then walking in there, oh yeah you took.
- 1:32:49Speaker 6: You took a piece of your leg off on that bench.
- 1:32:51Speaker 4: Left it on the bench.
- 1:32:53Speaker 4: Yeah, I got a scar for life.
- 1:32:56Speaker 4: Yeah, right there.
- 1:32:59Speaker 3: But it was fixed by pancakes.
- 1:33:01Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm like that trip will go down for me as incredible pancakes and an absolutely horrific back seat in a fucking Mustang convertible.
- 1:33:13Speaker 4: I got a video of that.
- 1:33:15Speaker 4: Yeah, that ride of you scrunching in the truck in the Mustang.
- 1:33:21Speaker 3: So we go and do the.
- 1:33:22Speaker 3: We get there that night.
- 1:33:24Speaker 3: Then CT comes the next morning, meets us at the Starbucks.
- 1:33:28Speaker 3: That we're all just.
- 1:33:30Speaker 3: I gotta remember who we met there.
- 1:33:36Speaker 3: His name is not registering, Do you remember?
- 1:33:43Speaker 8: Talking slowly and intentional.
- 1:33:46Speaker 6: Oh, you're talking about from the group up there.
- 1:33:49Speaker 6: Yeah, Got it.
- 1:33:55Speaker 3: Oh God, the fact that I'm having a.
- 1:33:59Speaker 3: I should remember this because he's a great, I know all about him, it's just the name is not there at the moment, this hour and so many minutes through.
- 1:34:11Speaker 3: But at the same time we met him for coffee, had a great discussion and then went off to have breakfast for the cornflake pancakes which was fantastic, and then headed over to Fugh.
- 1:34:28Speaker 4: And that with Paul, let's go.
- 1:34:31Speaker 3: The distiller there, yep, and we also met with the rep.
- 1:34:36Speaker 3: Come on, ct, right there Our girl.
- 1:34:43Speaker 4: What was her name?
- 1:34:45Speaker 6: What I can't remember all these names.
- 1:34:49Speaker 3: I know it's insane.
- 1:34:50Speaker 3: I can't be expected to do everything yeah me neither.
- 1:34:54Speaker 3: But we met her at Galena Whiskey Festival.
- 1:34:58Speaker 6: And she, and she is awesome, I think God wait.
- 1:35:04Speaker 3: Why are you doing this?
- 1:35:04Speaker 3: It's like Nash picks up the distiller at least he picks her up.
- 1:35:09Speaker 3: But anyways, we meet there and have a great podcast and then, after the podcast, we go out to dinner.
- 1:35:20Speaker 3: No, no, we go to a suggested bar which was in Chicago, and me and Nash get a ticket because we're dumb.
- 1:35:33Speaker 3: Oh yeah, we park in the space.
- 1:35:37Speaker 3: We're like, oh, we got the greatest space ever, but we don't pay the parking ticket and then, or the parking and then we end up with a ticket.
- 1:35:45Speaker 3: The little pod was all the way, but we did the Pappy Van Winkle flight at that place, which was fantastic.
- 1:35:55Speaker 4: And then we went to eat dinner for Italian dinner, and then we ate dinner at.
- 1:36:01Speaker 3: Magianos.
- 1:36:03Speaker 4: For your birthday.
- 1:36:05Speaker 3: You even got a birthday dessert.
- 1:36:07Speaker 8: Yep.
- 1:36:09Speaker 3: Damn.
- 1:36:09Speaker 3: That is the Magianos that Al Capone used to eat at.
- 1:36:13Speaker 3: Al Capone used to eat at the original.
- 1:36:16Speaker 3: Magianos.
- 1:36:17Speaker 6: We follow Al Capone around a lot.
- 1:36:19Speaker 6: We go to a lot of Al Capone places.
- 1:36:22Speaker 3: So once we finished up there, headed back then the next morning we were just we had a little bit of a party headed out.
- 1:36:32Speaker 3: We were hitting the liquor stores and we hit a couple binnies and headed back over to be robbers at the few distillery where I got a couple barrel staves that were just laying outside in the alley and just a great time, right yeah.
- 1:36:56Speaker 4: My first time ever being in Chicago and just wow.
- 1:37:01Speaker 3: In a green Mustang.
- 1:37:03Speaker 8: I had a blast there You've never been to.
- 1:37:06Speaker 8: Chicago.
- 1:37:07Speaker 4: Yeah, that was my first time.
- 1:37:09Speaker 4: Wow, yeah, and ate some great food.
- 1:37:16Speaker 4: Cool times downtown.
- 1:37:20Speaker 4: I mean I had a blast, For whatever they say.
- 1:37:26Speaker 3: Out on Monday, but it was.
- 1:37:28Speaker 3: It wasn't that weekend we walked around we parked.
- 1:37:36Speaker 3: It wasn't like there was a rampant crime or anything, but now we didn't go down to the miracle mile.
- 1:37:44Speaker 3: We were in the suburbs, there's no doubt, but at the same time, as Paul said, it was where prohibition started, right?
- 1:37:57Speaker 8: Here's it, what I think, nash, if you want to mark it on your calendar.
- 1:38:05Speaker 8: Jeff and CT are already planning on going back to Chicago Memorial Day weekend or 24.
- 1:38:11Speaker 8: They're going to stay at the Congress, no.
- 1:38:15Speaker 6: Yeah, jeff, her name is Susan Birthday weekend.
- 1:38:19Speaker 3: Yes, susan, there you go.
- 1:38:21Speaker 8: Jeff's already got his outfit laid out for the International, mr Leather competition Rosentrodden, Susan Rosentrodden right.
- 1:38:34Speaker 6: Hey, that's a skit.
- 1:38:35Speaker 6: On Saturday Night Live the Leatherman.
- 1:38:38Speaker 3: Did you get that Leatherman?
- 1:38:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll wear leather pants.
- 1:38:43Speaker 3: You buy them.
- 1:38:43Speaker 3: Whiskey I'll wear them yeah.
- 1:38:50Speaker 8: Get those leather pants.
- 1:38:51Speaker 8: I think the Leatherman Memorial Day weekend was that I had my two daughters that were like 12 and 13 in an elevator at the hill.
- 1:39:00Speaker 8: This dude walks in in combat boots, a leather jock strap and a full hood attached to the leach.
- 1:39:09Speaker 8: Another dude that's all in leather and I just kind of looked at my wife and said you're taking this one, oh my.
- 1:39:18Speaker 8: God.
- 1:39:19Speaker 3: That elevator was the first time I met Jeff Mueller.
- 1:39:22Speaker 3: No, it's not.
- 1:39:25Speaker 3: You met me on a polar bear, motherfucker.
- 1:39:27Speaker 3: That's where you met me.
- 1:39:30Speaker 3: So no, it was not.
- 1:39:32Speaker 3: So you that, whatever that story was had nothing to do with me.
- 1:39:39Speaker 4: I remember the polar bear.
- 1:39:40Speaker 4: Did he tell you his name or did he just come right?
- 1:39:43Speaker 4: I'm Jeff Mueller and I have nothing to hide.
- 1:39:47Speaker 8: No, the first time I met Carl in the assless chaps holding his leach would let me talk.
- 1:39:51Speaker 3: Just so you know, nash, the first time I met Carl is the first time you met Carl.
- 1:39:58Speaker 3: At the meeting at the barrel room that you were up for the Christmas party, carl showed up.
- 1:40:05Speaker 3: That's the first time we ever met.
- 1:40:09Speaker 8: And there was a but that's actually not true.
- 1:40:11Speaker 8: I'm not even lying to giant eagle.
- 1:40:13Speaker 3: Yeah, that's true, yeah you're right.
- 1:40:16Speaker 4: Yeah, at Giant Eagle, that's right I think I gave you a card.
- 1:40:21Speaker 8: Didn't I give you a card?
- 1:40:21Speaker 8: It takes a giant to make life simple.
- 1:40:24Speaker 3: Yes, with an eagle.
- 1:40:25Speaker 3: You need an eagle with the giant.
- 1:40:28Speaker 3: So anyways.
- 1:40:30Speaker 4: Okay, so after Chicago we moved right along.
- 1:40:36Speaker 3: Yeah, after Chicago that we already covered what happened after Chicago.
- 1:40:40Speaker 3: So we've been doing a couple of podcasts.
- 1:40:46Speaker 3: We did Smoke Wagon this last, you know Randy Prassy, kentucky Bourbon Festival.
- 1:40:54Speaker 3: We did the Bourbon on the banks and then we also did a.
- 1:40:58Speaker 8: Back post single malt whiskey.
- 1:41:00Speaker 8: Guys from Baltimore.
- 1:41:01Speaker 8: Yep.
- 1:41:02Speaker 8: I can't remember the name of their distillery, but I'm sure you do.
- 1:41:08Speaker 3: Old line.
- 1:41:08Speaker 3: Old line distillery.
- 1:41:11Speaker 3: Kevin.
- 1:41:11Speaker 3: And then also we had on just Jason Giles from Rosewood, which is some damn good stuff what he's doing down there, but it's unique.
- 1:41:25Speaker 3: You know, everybody we have on and has their unique spin to make some good whiskey and that's what we want to bring to you.
- 1:41:33Speaker 3: You know, here at the Scotchy Bourbon Boys that's our, that is our goal to bring you unique whiskey.
- 1:41:42Speaker 3: And then also, you know, carl was just out in Colorado.
- 1:41:47Speaker 3: He was with Justin from Molly Brown and did a nice podcast there.
- 1:41:54Speaker 3: I've got that ready to go for YouTube coming up real soon.
- 1:41:58Speaker 3: It's been edited.
- 1:42:00Speaker 8: Season five you can see what bad technical equipment gets you for a podcast.
- 1:42:05Speaker 3: It wasn't bad.
- 1:42:06Speaker 3: It was able to be corrected, so overall was good.
- 1:42:09Speaker 3: It'll be a nice YouTube video.
- 1:42:12Speaker 3: You'll be able to see that in season five but overall we've covered it and we keep getting bigger and we're going to keep planning some super things in season five.
- 1:42:27Speaker 3: Already booked is our Kentucky Bourbon Festival trip, where we have our third annual Kentucky Bourbon Festival bus tour that.
- 1:42:39Speaker 4: One other thing, just to recap Our friend Kenyan Coco made.
- 1:42:48Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 1:42:49Speaker 4: There you go, kenyan.
- 1:42:52Speaker 4: Yes, and that was.
- 1:42:54Speaker 4: That was a great, great discussion, and then, oh my gosh, yeah, just wasn't enough time, but so much information, discussed and talked and such a great time with Kenyan.
- 1:43:07Speaker 4: Yes, a such a super great guy in the whiskey world and just a good shout out to whiskey mavens that's the group that he heads up.
- 1:43:21Speaker 4: Yeah, and they're in Chicago.
- 1:43:24Speaker 3: And we're we're on whiskey mavens right now.
- 1:43:27Speaker 4: Yes, we are.
- 1:43:27Speaker 4: And thank you to whiskey mavens and all that you do and for supporting the whiskey world and supporting the Scotchie bourbon boys.
- 1:43:39Speaker 3: So Andrew's whiskey says asless chaps.
- 1:43:45Speaker 3: Thanks, andrew, I really appreciate that.
- 1:43:52Speaker 3: We'll be seeing those at the Kentucky.
- 1:43:53Speaker 3: Bourbon Festival.
- 1:43:54Speaker 3: No, you won't be seeing that.
- 1:43:55Speaker 3: No, I mean you can dream, but it's not happening.
- 1:43:59Speaker 3: The most you get is a little leg through the ramp.
- 1:44:03Speaker 4: That's it.
- 1:44:04Speaker 3: No, I don't.
- 1:44:05Speaker 3: I don't say that now, I say that forever.
- 1:44:08Speaker 3: They'll never be asless chaps.
- 1:44:13Speaker 8: No, I think you're going to put on some black asless chaps.
- 1:44:16Speaker 3: So what are we finishing up with?
- 1:44:17Speaker 3: Let's see what I got here.
- 1:44:20Speaker 8: I got to put on.
- 1:44:21Speaker 8: You're going to put on your bubblegum colored man thong.
- 1:44:24Speaker 3: No, I don't own a bubblegum flavored man thong One very big thing that we did this year.
- 1:44:30Speaker 3: What is that?
- 1:44:33Speaker 3: Oh, middle West, yes, middle West.
- 1:44:38Speaker 3: So Ryan Lang, down at Middle West, is building a brand new distillery.
- 1:44:47Speaker 3: A building, yes, in season five.
- 1:44:53Speaker 3: We will be there as he opens that up.
- 1:44:57Speaker 3: We are talking the size.
- 1:45:00Speaker 3: We are talking 60 inch column.
- 1:45:03Speaker 3: Still, we are talking about fermenters that are on the same level of Jim beam clear month.
- 1:45:11Speaker 3: He basically is bringing Kentucky to Ohio and not only is he doing the distillery and the tours and the experience, but he's bringing restaurants and shopping and everything he's purchased right outside of Columbus, Just a little bit CT.
- 1:45:33Speaker 3: You can tell him what area that is.
- 1:45:36Speaker 6: Yeah, it's right in.
- 1:45:38Speaker 6: If you were downtown Columbus around 70 and 71, it's just east of 71 on 70.
- 1:45:45Speaker 6: And it's not real noticeable because it's not like in a spot that you just pick it up right off the highway.
- 1:45:53Speaker 6: But that that will change very soon Because once it's known that it's there it'll change it.
- 1:45:59Speaker 3: If you know it's there, you can see it.
- 1:46:03Speaker 6: It's been behind the thing that sits right on the highways, an old sun TV store.
- 1:46:08Speaker 6: So those always had that like circle, half circle on the buildings and that building sits in the front, right by the highway and it's directly behind it.
- 1:46:17Speaker 3: I mean, they're already producing the most whiskey in Ohio with their craft distillery, but they're going to keep that running and add a 60 inch column still To the new place, and then they've got the next one ordered.
- 1:46:36Speaker 6: Yeah, it's, it's.
- 1:46:37Speaker 6: It's going to be amazing.
- 1:46:38Speaker 6: But yeah, that was a great trip.
- 1:46:40Speaker 6: We got to see we called it the construction tour because we got to go in as they were trying to bust but to get this place up and ready to go and they were at the point of testing and pressure checking and building some things.
- 1:46:56Speaker 3: And it was pretty awesome.
- 1:46:57Speaker 3: Yeah, we're looking forward to it.
- 1:46:59Speaker 3: Middle West is their brand, but they contract to still there.
- 1:47:04Speaker 3: They are bringing Bardstown bourbon company at its full peak to Ohio and what's?
- 1:47:13Speaker 3: It's not something that's seen in Ohio.
- 1:47:16Speaker 3: It will blow every distillery in Ohio away.
- 1:47:20Speaker 3: And we got to see that tour, and it was.
- 1:47:25Speaker 3: I was awestruck, weren't you?
- 1:47:28Speaker 8: Yeah, it was true, that's exciting for you, because that sounds like a lot of blowing.
- 1:47:35Speaker 6: Hey, the other thing too, that Ryan and we got to drink some of the new stuff they're working on, because Ryan has been known for his pumpernickel rye, the Michelang and the whole the Rosos and he's got some new stuff coming that we got to try.
- 1:47:50Speaker 6: That was, oh man, it was.
- 1:47:52Speaker 6: It was so good.
- 1:47:53Speaker 3: I mean I got to go down and basically go through his whole Rick house and thief from all the different sections is finished whiskey, his bourbons and then his specialties and you know he's doing American single mall and got to the thief from all those barrels and it's pretty spectacular what he's doing here right here in Ohio and just can't wait for that.
- 1:48:26Speaker 3: So yeah, so season five.
- 1:48:31Speaker 8: I can't.
- 1:48:31Speaker 4: I can't wait for that, especially to taste some of the single mall city doing hey Nash what I've heard, yeah what do I want to drink?
- 1:48:41Speaker 4: What do you want to drink, Joe?
- 1:48:43Speaker 3: Oh Carter, I'm going to be drinking that to finish up what?
- 1:48:50Speaker 8: And what you guys is that.
- 1:48:53Speaker 3: This is Kentucky, I believe To.
- 1:49:01Speaker 4: Mark.
- 1:49:01Speaker 4: Do you know if Mark and Sherry is going to have a boost that?
- 1:49:04Speaker 4: Yes down bourbon festival this year.
- 1:49:09Speaker 3: I am not exactly sure I didn't.
- 1:49:11Speaker 3: Did you see old Carter as one of the 50 distilleries?
- 1:49:16Speaker 4: I did.
- 1:49:16Speaker 3: I did not.
- 1:49:18Speaker 4: I didn't either.
- 1:49:21Speaker 8: St Nicholas is going to be there, which I know Jeff likes their bourbon.
- 1:49:25Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a preservation, but Matt Jackson has moved on from there.
- 1:49:30Speaker 3: I'm waiting to see where he lands.
- 1:49:34Speaker 4: I still hadn't heard where we're mask on yet.
- 1:49:37Speaker 3: No, I was talking to him.
- 1:49:38Speaker 3: He says he's doing all right and he basically has something lined up, but he's not ready to announce it yet.
- 1:49:46Speaker 4: But I'm pretty sure the Scotchie bourbon boys will be first on the line to know.
- 1:49:52Speaker 3: Yeah, we've you know what?
- 1:49:54Speaker 3: What have we?
- 1:49:54Speaker 3: What would you say?
- 1:49:57Speaker 3: We've announced certain things this year.
- 1:50:00Speaker 3: We announced right on the podcast last year that three boys farm distillery was changing its name to whiskey thief.
- 1:50:11Speaker 4: He's the distilling.
- 1:50:12Speaker 3: Yeah, and then Luca Mariano, you know, got David to you know, announced him as the master distiller for Luca Mariano.
- 1:50:23Speaker 3: Used to work at Jim beam, so you know, so we've, we've announced some, made some.
- 1:50:31Speaker 4: We've had quite a few first this year, yeah.
- 1:50:35Speaker 3: Those were just a couple.
- 1:50:36Speaker 3: It's exciting.
- 1:50:38Speaker 3: And so season five, what's going to happen at Kentucky bourbon festival, the level of what's going on, one of the one of the podcasts that's going to be.
- 1:50:48Speaker 3: We've got Aaron Harris, which will be so.
- 1:50:52Speaker 3: We've got Brad bonds and then we've got Aaron Harris on Monday, in from green river.
- 1:50:57Speaker 3: That podcast will happen.
- 1:51:00Speaker 3: And then on Thursday, ross corn, corny Ellis he is the master distiller of 1792.
- 1:51:08Speaker 3: Actually, jaleesa, who handled us for with for.
- 1:51:15Speaker 4: Harlan Wheatley.
- 1:51:17Speaker 3: No, she handled us for Harlan Wheatley when we were at the Harlan Wheatley.
- 1:51:22Speaker 3: She's handling us again for Ross.
- 1:51:25Speaker 3: So it's really cool she reached out.
- 1:51:28Speaker 3: So she's like she have any questions.
- 1:51:30Speaker 3: I'm like Ross has already filled it in.
- 1:51:32Speaker 3: Ross, ross knows what he wants to.
- 1:51:34Speaker 3: So you guys all know about the Thomas Moore brand, correct?
- 1:51:39Speaker 3: You've seen it on the shelf.
- 1:51:41Speaker 3: Did you know that Barton's distills Thomas Moore?
- 1:51:46Speaker 6: I tried it there until you told me last tour.
- 1:51:50Speaker 3: You tried it at 1792.
- 1:51:52Speaker 3: Yeah, it was on one of the tours that I did Well now that there's no more tours at 17, 1792, and we're going in on that Thursday.
- 1:52:03Speaker 3: So to pod.
- 1:52:05Speaker 3: We got to be there at 9am and we're going to podcast with him at 10 to 11 o'clock.
- 1:52:11Speaker 3: He's going to give us a tour.
- 1:52:13Speaker 3: We're going to hopefully we'll be able to thief from a barrel, and he wants to push the Thomas Moore name.
- 1:52:20Speaker 3: You know that because he says nobody knows that they make it Nobody, and so that's what we want to do is get that out there and let the power.
- 1:52:32Speaker 6: Sport bottles are cool.
- 1:52:33Speaker 6: The different look that fall skinny look to.
- 1:52:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I think so too, and now that I know that Barton's is doing it, to do a bottle change.
- 1:52:41Speaker 4: If I'm not mistaken, you know that that long, skinny, square bottle.
- 1:52:47Speaker 6: I just can't remember the taste.
- 1:52:48Speaker 6: You know, obviously it's been a while ago, but I'm up for trying it.
- 1:52:54Speaker 4: I've never actually really that.
- 1:52:57Speaker 4: To my knowledge, I've never tasted Thomas Moore.
- 1:53:00Speaker 4: I've seen it a lot out there over the years but I've never even pulled the trigger on, you know, purchasing or or buying a sample of it at a bar or anything.
- 1:53:09Speaker 3: I look at it as like Rock Hill farms from Buffalo Trace you just don't know where you it's not a familiar thing, that's on the shelf all the time.
- 1:53:19Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 1:53:20Speaker 4: Yeah, there's a lot of people that don't know that Rock Hill farms done from Buffalo Trace Nope.
