- 1:09Speaker 1: I went out took him.
- 1:10Speaker 2: It was a winter wonderland. There was snow everywhere.
- 1:13Speaker 1: I was like, oh my god, and it was so beautiful.
- 1:16Speaker 1: And then I woke up this morning and it was raining.
- 1:18Speaker 1: I've really this climate change is now. It's the situation
- 1:22Speaker 1: of like the valley and then like mid mountain. You
- 1:25Speaker 1: have to see where the freezing level is.
- 1:26Speaker 3: So have you been able to ski it all yet?
- 1:28Speaker 2: Or no, Yeah, I skied, I've skied. I've skied.
- 1:30Speaker 1: I've got When you go up top, it's fine, but
- 1:32Speaker 1: it's just kind of hard to get on the mountain
- 1:34Speaker 1: in the rain and then go all the way up
- 1:36Speaker 1: and then you're like, oh, it's snow so but you know,
- 1:39Speaker 1: I just have to stay focused.
- 1:40Speaker 3: So what are you doing in this last couple of
- 1:42Speaker 3: weeks of the year. Are you chilling? Are people visiting?
- 1:45Speaker 2: People are visiting? People? Are My niece and her boyfriend
- 1:47Speaker 2: arrive tomorrow.
- 1:48Speaker 1: I have another friend coming from that I met on
- 1:52Speaker 1: my cruise to Antarctica. That's the new pronunciation of Antarctica.
- 1:55Speaker 1: I was forgetting the second t or the first one.
- 1:59Speaker 1: And then yeah, I have some people coming, And then oh,
- 2:01Speaker 1: I've been watching all the movies. I have my link
- 2:03Speaker 1: for my Critics Choice because I'm hosting the Critics' Choice
- 2:05Speaker 1: Awards on January fourth, So I have to get all
- 2:08Speaker 1: of those movies in my brain to come up with
- 2:11Speaker 1: my jokes and monologue and la la la. I mean,
- 2:13Speaker 1: I have writers that are also working on it, so
- 2:15Speaker 1: hopefully they're working harder than I. Hopefully they're watching those movies.
- 2:18Speaker 4: Now.
- 2:18Speaker 5: Okay, I don't know if you're allowed to say, but
- 2:20Speaker 5: do you have any favorites so far?
- 2:22Speaker 2: Well? I watched Hamnet yesterday, which made me balla.
- 2:25Speaker 3: I really want to watch it. I'm very I.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Mean, I love that.
- 2:28Speaker 1: I love crying like a baby on my couch alone
- 2:30Speaker 1: with Doug and then Doug comes over to console me.
- 2:32Speaker 2: It's really cute.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Yeah, Hamnet was beautiful, Jay Kelly, I just started.
- 2:37Speaker 2: I have to watch that. Adam Sandler is so good
- 2:39Speaker 2: when he's like.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Acting acting, and I don't know, yeah, I've seen so
- 2:44Speaker 1: many that it's really Oh yeah, Train Dreams with is
- 2:47Speaker 1: really good with Joel Edgerton and what's that actually Edgerton?
- 2:51Speaker 2: Is it? Edgerton?
- 2:52Speaker 3: I think it's I think it's your brain though. Okay,
- 2:55Speaker 3: I'm going we'll look at it.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Let's let's make a bet.
- 2:59Speaker 3: Okay, all right, what should we bet? What should we bet?
- 3:03Speaker 1: If I'm right, you can't sing sing song words anymore?
- 3:08Speaker 2: You can't go okay, And if you're right, what can't
- 3:13Speaker 2: I do anymore?
- 3:16Speaker 3: Be mad at me for singing songing?
- 3:18Speaker 2: Okay, all right, that's fair. Okay, look it up.
- 3:21Speaker 3: Look it up right now, in real time, looking it up.
- 3:24Speaker 5: Okay, Edgerton or Edgerton, you're gonna be right. And now
- 3:29Speaker 5: I'm like you are going to be right. Okay, it's
- 3:32Speaker 5: coming back to the show our friend Joel Edgerton.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Oh shit, shit, fuck.
- 3:41Speaker 5: See now you have to love my sing songing. I
- 3:44Speaker 5: do try to rain it in sometimes, but you should.
- 3:46Speaker 1: You should try to rain it in. It doesn't really
- 3:48Speaker 1: match this podcast. Well I guess it doesn't match the
- 3:50Speaker 1: podcaus it doesn't match me. It's like a nice balance, right, hopefully, hopefully.
- 3:55Speaker 3: I was actually afraid it was going to make your
- 3:56Speaker 3: head explode, Kevin.
- 3:57Speaker 4: It'd be like holding in a sneeze.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly. Save it for the bedroom you two. Okay,
- 4:02Speaker 1: saved the singing for the bedrooms, please, Okay. Today was
- 4:06Speaker 1: one of my favorite people We've had so many great
- 4:08Speaker 1: actresses on lately, and this is another one. She's an
- 4:10Speaker 1: Academy Award nominated actress, a Golden Globe winner for her
- 4:13Speaker 1: work in The Dropout, and she has a second Golden
- 4:16Speaker 1: Globe nomination for her new movie, The Testament of Ann Lee.
- 4:19Speaker 1: So please welcome Amanda Seifred.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Welcome.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Amanda Seifred is on the podcast today. She's on Dear Chelsea.
- 4:25Speaker 1: She's coming to us live from her farm. I think
- 4:29Speaker 1: in the Catskills. I want to say, is that right?
- 4:32Speaker 4: Yes?
- 4:33Speaker 1: Are you gonna audibly respond or are you just going
- 4:35Speaker 1: to do thumbs up for this interview?
- 4:38Speaker 3: You know what this is?
- 4:40Speaker 4: This is zoom culture.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Yeah, well, Amanda, we've been in zoom culture since fucking
- 4:46Speaker 1: twenty twenty. You've had five years to get a head start.
- 4:49Speaker 4: No, it's because I'm used to it. Last night I
- 4:51Speaker 4: was on an hour long call on mute given you know,
- 4:55Speaker 4: thumbs ups and aoks.
- 4:57Speaker 1: You know what is nice about zoom culture is sometime
- 5:00Speaker 1: you just pretend that you can't get on so that
- 5:03Speaker 1: you don't have to. Like I've done that before when
- 5:06Speaker 1: I've had like a business zoom I'm like, I can't
- 5:08Speaker 1: make it work. I'm on mute and then I just
- 5:09Speaker 1: can't and then I just click off, and then the
- 5:12Speaker 1: meeting's over without me, I mean the meeting.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Person that does that. And now I'm going to question
- 5:17Speaker 4: and every.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Time, right right, So we have a lot to celebrate.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Amanda was just nominated for You've been nominated for Golden
- 5:25Speaker 1: Globes before? Right for mam and Mia. You got nominated
- 5:27Speaker 1: and I think you won. Oh whoops, Okay, you were
- 5:31Speaker 1: snubbed that year. So she was nominated this year. We're
- 5:35Speaker 1: gonna she's lip syncing again. She was nominated for It's
- 5:40Speaker 1: called the Testament of Ann Lee and this is a move.
- 5:44Speaker 2: So congratulations, Amanda.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Why don't you take your flowers for a second, say
- 5:48Speaker 1: thank you.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Thank you so much, double double time. It's been great.
- 5:53Speaker 4: I did not get a Golden Globe nomination from Mom
- 5:55Speaker 4: and Mia, but that was okay.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Did you get another Golden Globe nomination before?
- 6:01Speaker 4: I got a nomination and I won for the dropout
- 6:05Speaker 4: and I wasn't there.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Oh wow, that's pretty tricky. Where were you on your farm?
- 6:12Speaker 4: No, I had to work.
- 6:14Speaker 1: You said that in quotes, like you put quotes up
- 6:17Speaker 1: like you didn't really have to work.
- 6:18Speaker 6: I totally had to work. It was it was it
- 6:21Speaker 6: would have been impossible. It probably would have been impossible,
- 6:25Speaker 6: but it was it felt like too tricky to get
- 6:29Speaker 6: all the way to LA that.
- 6:30Speaker 2: The night from working, where were you?
- 6:34Speaker 4: I was so actually, do I have a workshop of
- 6:36Speaker 4: a musical? And it felt like everybody's schedule had to
- 6:43Speaker 4: align for so long that we finally got them all
- 6:46Speaker 4: to a line in this one week and it just
- 6:47Speaker 4: happened to be that golden glow week, so like it
- 6:50Speaker 4: was the first thing I had won, and then I couldn't.
- 6:54Speaker 4: I didn't get to accept it, which I guess, you know,
- 6:57Speaker 4: maybe that's a blessing.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Well, listen, and I'm aware of your anxiety.
- 7:01Speaker 1: You've talked a lot about your anxiety, and I think
- 7:03Speaker 1: it is a blessing because if you had to get
- 7:06Speaker 1: up on that stage, who knows which way the wind
- 7:08Speaker 1: would have blown, you know what I mean, Because you're
- 7:10Speaker 1: a little bit like you don't know what's.
- 7:12Speaker 4: Going to happen. X factor, man, Yeah, it's.
- 7:15Speaker 1: An X factor, which I fucking I mean, listen, we
- 7:17Speaker 1: all fucking love it. But probably for your personal well being,
- 7:21Speaker 1: it was better for you to be in a workshop
- 7:23Speaker 1: and that's also very professional that you were able to
- 7:26Speaker 1: say I'm not going to go to the first nomination
- 7:28Speaker 1: I got, then win and then come back to your
- 7:31Speaker 1: group of actors.
- 7:32Speaker 2: They must have even respected you more after that.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, well I'll follow up with all of those people,
- 7:39Speaker 1: I think.
- 7:39Speaker 4: So there was a lot of celebration. Actually, yeah, it
- 7:42Speaker 4: was nice.
- 7:42Speaker 2: So you were nominated for Critics Choice Award this year.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Just so you know, I'm hosting the Critics Choice, so
- 7:47Speaker 1: I know that I I am definitely going to single
- 7:53Speaker 1: you out and do something funny for you or about you,
- 7:56Speaker 1: because you know how I feel about you, and I
- 7:58Speaker 1: just think that you deserve that.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Thank you in any way, shape or form. I would
- 8:03Speaker 4: be happy to join you.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Maybe we will do something cute together. That's actually a
- 8:08Speaker 1: great idea. But I am very excited that you got
- 8:10Speaker 1: nominated because, first of all, I just want to be
- 8:13Speaker 1: in total seriousness. This is one of the most talented
- 8:16Speaker 1: people in this industry. She can do fucking anything. She
- 8:19Speaker 1: can do anything, demonstrated by her two movies that are
- 8:22Speaker 1: out right now. I think Housemaid comes out tomorrow and
- 8:27Speaker 1: the Testament of Ann Lee is going to come out
- 8:30Speaker 1: shortly after so, and these are two completely different movies.
- 8:34Speaker 1: One is about the Quaker movement and this woman let's
- 8:38Speaker 1: talk about the Testament of Ann Lee because this is
- 8:40Speaker 1: I had to watch this movie twice.
- 8:41Speaker 2: The first time I was stoned.
- 8:44Speaker 4: We watching it stone This is a enhanced experience.
- 8:50Speaker 1: It was I didn't understand which religion we were in.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I understood, like, there's a lot of singing and dancing,
- 8:56Speaker 1: which I all hope turns into TikTok dances because they're
- 8:59Speaker 1: in ten and Amanda's an incredible singer. I heard you
- 9:02Speaker 1: sing that Carol King song I don't know on Who's
- 9:05Speaker 1: Late night show recently because you were joney Jony Oh, yeah,
- 9:09Speaker 1: Joni Mitchell, Sorry, not Carol King, No love Joni Mitchell.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Which what was a song called California.
- 9:15Speaker 4: Yeah, it was like a quick little I know.
- 9:18Speaker 1: But but you were talking about your voice and your
- 9:20Speaker 1: singing voice and saying that you don't really believe like
- 9:24Speaker 1: I guess you. Uh, what was the movie you auditioned
- 9:26Speaker 1: for that you didn't get where you had to sing?
- 9:30Speaker 4: You want me to say it out loud? Well, if
- 9:32Speaker 4: you've only I'm kidding, no, no, it's a joke. I'm
- 9:35Speaker 4: over it.
- 9:36Speaker 1: At Wicked Wicked right, Oh right, so that's even a
- 9:39Speaker 1: double whammy, so all of it.
- 9:41Speaker 2: But look see, look at this, no exactly.
- 9:43Speaker 4: It's all happened exactly like I. I truly believe that
- 9:51Speaker 4: it was for the best, for sure, for everyone involved,
- 9:56Speaker 4: because I got to do this too.
- 9:58Speaker 1: You were talking on this interview that I saw about
- 10:00Speaker 1: your singing voice, and you were saying how how much
- 10:03Speaker 1: you've worked on your singing voice since lay Miss, and
- 10:07Speaker 1: in lay Miss we all thought you fucking nailed it,
- 10:09Speaker 1: and you were saying that you have become a better
- 10:12Speaker 1: singer since then, and that you weren't at the level
- 10:16Speaker 1: or at the place you wanted to be when you
- 10:18Speaker 1: filmed lay Miss.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Do you still agree with that assessment?
- 10:21Speaker 4: Boy, I agree with that assessment. I also but I
- 10:25Speaker 4: also completely let go of the need to access something
- 10:30Speaker 4: that I might not ever be able to access in
- 10:33Speaker 4: terms of like the control of the vibrato and the
- 10:37Speaker 4: stamina and the breath work. I understand that I'm not
- 10:41Speaker 4: gonna be starring in a musical on Broadway where I
- 10:44Speaker 4: need the kind of stamina that I that I was
- 10:46Speaker 4: I've been trying to build. I'm I'm you know, my voices,
- 10:49Speaker 4: specifically because I ended up doing something like ann Lee,
- 10:52Speaker 4: where it wasn't about how it sounded, it was about
- 10:55Speaker 4: where it came from. It was about how it was felt,
- 10:58Speaker 4: not just by me but by the audience right, but
- 11:00Speaker 4: by her followers. And it's like I finally stopped listening
- 11:04Speaker 4: to myself in the way that kind of made it
- 11:06Speaker 4: not fun to sing. I mean, I listen. I will
- 11:09Speaker 4: say during my wicked auditions, I sang better than I
- 11:13Speaker 4: thought I would.
- 11:14Speaker 2: I felt I was.
- 11:16Speaker 4: I think it came with the excitement, the momentum of
- 11:19Speaker 4: how much I was training for it, and I was
- 11:23Speaker 4: very proud of myself. For sure, that will never go away.
- 11:25Speaker 4: But I also realized maybe I'm just not that kind
- 11:28Speaker 4: of singer and I don't need to sound like anyone else.
- 11:32Speaker 4: It took me four years, but at least I'm here,
- 11:34Speaker 4: and you know when I listen, if I were to
- 11:39Speaker 4: listen to the songs and lame is, it was exactly
- 11:41Speaker 4: how it needed to be for that time. And ann
- 11:45Speaker 4: Lee came and I was able to be The opportunity
- 11:49Speaker 4: was amazing and it was perfect for where my voice
- 11:51Speaker 4: was in that it's a human voice, not a trained voice.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Yeah, Yeah, I like what you just said.
- 11:58Speaker 1: That's perfectly sad because you are singing for like your followers,
- 12:02Speaker 1: and you are.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Leading these this group of people.
- 12:06Speaker 1: And then I love midway through the movie, she gives herself,
- 12:10Speaker 1: she becomes christ, she becomes like the female christ As,
- 12:13Speaker 1: and then uses that as an excuse to stop having
- 12:16Speaker 1: sex with her husband, which I think is really a
- 12:19Speaker 1: tale as old as time.
- 12:23Speaker 4: Yeah, and you know what everybody was like, Oh, for Jesus,
- 12:29Speaker 4: for peace, for communion with God. Sure, listen, I don't
- 12:34Speaker 4: think any of us would announce or you know, eliminate
- 12:40Speaker 4: fornication nowadays, because even though it's tricky, it's still incredibly pleasurable.
- 12:49Speaker 4: But they weren't up for pleasure. They wanted peace, and
- 12:53Speaker 4: it was it made sense to her in her trauma. Yes,
- 12:57Speaker 4: in her trauma woman, you know, losing these children. The
- 13:01Speaker 4: direct you know, the direct line between sex and pain
- 13:07Speaker 4: was too clear for her.
- 13:09Speaker 2: It had to be painful. Everything had to be painful.
- 13:12Speaker 4: Yeah, and it makes sense. It made sense for her.
- 13:14Speaker 4: But the fact that, you know, almost six thousand people
- 13:17Speaker 4: at one one point were like, yeah, I can do
- 13:20Speaker 4: that too, right, lose my mind. I would love to
- 13:24Speaker 4: know how many people were hiding.
- 13:28Speaker 5: And control there was earth control, so you know kind
- 13:32Speaker 5: of there's a giveaway at the end of that.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Yeah, right, right, exactly. So how is this because you
- 13:37Speaker 1: had a female director? So I mean, and there's a
- 13:39Speaker 1: lot of nudity. There's a lot of sex in this movie.
- 13:42Speaker 1: There's a lot of childbirth, child yes, a lot of childbirth,
- 13:47Speaker 1: a lot of like bearing, I mean birthing positions that
- 13:51Speaker 1: I hadn't been familiar with prior to watching them.
- 13:54Speaker 4: It's it's a lesson for a lot of people that
- 13:57Speaker 4: childbirth is a tramatic for most people. And there's nothing
- 14:05Speaker 4: like a scene in a movie where you can see
- 14:08Speaker 4: it from where it's all happening and necessary, I think necessary.
- 14:13Speaker 4: Do you know, Like apparently this is a rumor. I
- 14:16Speaker 4: don't know if it's for sure, but I believe it
- 14:19Speaker 4: to be true that in Venice fifteen men walked out
- 14:22Speaker 4: after that scene.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Oh I read that. I read that. Oh that's so.
- 14:30Speaker 4: And I'm like, men, men, these are your babies.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Yeah, you increase your seed, Your seed created this baby exactly.
- 14:39Speaker 4: The seed is from you.
- 14:40Speaker 1: I posted this thing on Instagram the other day where
- 14:42Speaker 1: I was like, uh, it was a quote from share
- 14:44Speaker 1: about you know what men, If men knew if men
- 14:47Speaker 1: had to give up and interrupt their career and give
- 14:50Speaker 1: up nine months of their physical life and breast for them, Yeah,
- 14:54Speaker 1: all of the things like that, they would want to
- 14:56Speaker 1: have a say in it. And I posted it and
- 14:59Speaker 1: like credited share and like there's like fifty guys on
- 15:02Speaker 1: there going. You don't think this affects our life too?
- 15:05Speaker 1: Like this is so sexist to say it only impacts women.
- 15:08Speaker 1: It's like, oh, shut up, just shut up.
- 15:11Speaker 2: You're missing the whole fucking point.
- 15:14Speaker 1: But how was it working doing all of that, all
- 15:16Speaker 1: those sex scenes, all those birthing scenes, Like how was
- 15:18Speaker 1: it working with a female director versus a male director?
- 15:21Speaker 2: Was there a big difference for you?
- 15:23Speaker 4: Well, there's no question with Mona, she and I have lived.
- 15:28Speaker 4: We can relate on things that I can relate to
- 15:31Speaker 4: with men. And that's just a fact. There's a trust,
- 15:34Speaker 4: there's an innate trust in how it's going to be
- 15:36Speaker 4: shot and why it's important. There are no questions at
- 15:40Speaker 4: a certain point when you go on a set, you
- 15:43Speaker 4: have you know, we've got our DP, who's a man
- 15:46Speaker 4: who I've loved and trust and like a family member.
- 15:51Speaker 4: We have these male crew members. But when there's a
- 15:53Speaker 4: woman who's in charge of how it's being shot and
- 15:57Speaker 4: what's being seen and how the story is going to unfold,
- 16:01Speaker 4: it just feels heavier, it feels more empowered, and it
- 16:04Speaker 4: feels more truthful when it especially when it comes to
- 16:08Speaker 4: to that kind of content, to that that kind of
- 16:11Speaker 4: situation and experience. And I'm not saying a mail director
- 16:14Speaker 4: couldn't have done it beautifully. I'm just saying my perspective
- 16:18Speaker 4: and the way I felt in that room, that tiny
- 16:21Speaker 4: little room, I was empowered as well. And I probably
- 16:24Speaker 4: would have been empowered like I worked with Adam mcgoy
- 16:26Speaker 4: and I was super naked in a movie I did
- 16:29Speaker 4: when I was twenty more called Chloe, and I didn't
- 16:33Speaker 4: question much because there was a lot of there's a
- 16:34Speaker 4: lot of discussion around the whole thing. For a while,
- 16:38Speaker 4: it felt, it felt the way it needed that, you know,
- 16:42Speaker 4: we were doing everything right. But I'm just saying, like
- 16:45Speaker 4: with Mona, and I don't know, she's just got a
- 16:47Speaker 4: sensitivity to these things. And I'm not saying you've have
- 16:51Speaker 4: you have to have gone through childbirth to understand it.
- 16:54Speaker 4: They's just just's a sensibility that we have and an
- 16:57Speaker 4: instinct that we have as women that for me, when
- 17:00Speaker 4: I'm working, especially in with that kind of subject matter,
- 17:04Speaker 4: I just feel a little closer to it. I feel
- 17:06Speaker 4: a little bit more, it's read more reachable. I just
- 17:10Speaker 4: feel like I'm being taken care of as well. Long
- 17:14Speaker 4: story short, No, No, I like.
- 17:16Speaker 1: To hear you talk about it because I'm curious about
- 17:18Speaker 1: what kind of actor you are? You a method actor
- 17:20Speaker 1: because these two projects you're not ny not not because
- 17:27Speaker 1: these two projects are so different, Like Housemaid, I can't
- 17:30Speaker 1: imagine that that's a method acting role, right, that's more
- 17:34Speaker 1: of like camp and like you know, crazy kind of
- 17:38Speaker 1: like thriller, and it's based on all these books. And
- 17:40Speaker 1: then this one is real serious, like you've got to
- 17:43Speaker 1: do your research, research, research, So how do you approach
- 17:46Speaker 1: two different roles like this?
- 17:48Speaker 2: Like what do you do as an actor?
- 17:50Speaker 4: The thing about Aileen is that she's a real iconic
- 17:53Speaker 4: person whose story has not been told in really any
- 18:00Speaker 4: rand way that she so deserves, I think, and so
- 18:04Speaker 4: like there's a lot of responsibility because to know everything
- 18:08Speaker 4: I could possibly know about her, and also to learn
- 18:11Speaker 4: everything because there's so much collaboration. Obviously it was like
- 18:13Speaker 4: eighteenth century. We don't know what those dances really look like.
- 18:17Speaker 4: We don't know exactly how she's sang. Like, there's so
- 18:19Speaker 4: many things that we had the freedom to explore and
- 18:24Speaker 4: change and design. So with those designs, I had to
- 18:28Speaker 4: like completely embody the like I had to move. I
- 18:31Speaker 4: don't hate dancing, but I had to learn the choreography.
- 18:34Speaker 4: I had to understand why each move was happening from
- 18:38Speaker 4: a spiritual point of view, from from a necessity point
- 18:41Speaker 4: of view. Because she was so committed and so devoted.
- 18:46Speaker 4: I just had to embody someone in a way that
- 18:48Speaker 4: I haven't before because of because of the nature of
- 18:51Speaker 4: like what treat what she created, and she was only
- 18:54Speaker 4: able to create that because she's so believed that she
- 18:57Speaker 4: was the Messiah. And I just had toll in love
- 19:00Speaker 4: with her, Like like with Elizabeth Holmes, I had to
- 19:03Speaker 4: fall in love with her. I just have to somehow
- 19:05Speaker 4: find it in my you know, find the sisterhood created
- 19:09Speaker 4: which comes from compassion and all that stuff, you know,
- 19:11Speaker 4: human to human stuff, like you know, being able to
- 19:14Speaker 4: relate to the character you're playing. But I also had to,
- 19:17Speaker 4: like I mean, I just had to. There was so
- 19:19Speaker 4: much pre production, so much preparation because there was a
- 19:21Speaker 4: Manchester accent too.
- 19:22Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that was really good.
- 19:24Speaker 3: Yeah, that was a great hill.
- 19:26Speaker 2: And is that you narrating the whole film?
- 19:28Speaker 4: No, that's Thomas and Mackenzie with her accent and she's
- 19:31Speaker 4: from New Zealand.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Oh okay, because I was confused because I was like,
- 19:34Speaker 1: this sounded like you sometimes, and then it was watched
- 19:36Speaker 1: its Stone, I know, and that's why I went back
- 19:39Speaker 1: and I watched you and yeah, but also it's okay,
- 19:42Speaker 1: Like I think the experience you had watching Desmond Manley's
- 19:46Speaker 1: Stone must have been somewhat confusing, but also maybe enlightening
- 19:52Speaker 1: in a different way.
- 19:53Speaker 4: I think it's wonderful. I actually told my caretaker of
- 19:56Speaker 4: my farm who's not here today, to you know, have
- 20:00Speaker 4: like a shot of rum.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure, you should have a shot of something, absolutely,
- 20:03Speaker 1: because it's a lot to take in, and it's something
- 20:06Speaker 1: that's so foreign to modern day like you know, what
- 20:09Speaker 1: we believe in, like modern day culture. Like you really
- 20:11Speaker 1: have to get into it. And the good thing about
- 20:14Speaker 1: being stoned is that you kind of just drop judgment
- 20:16Speaker 1: and you're just kind of taking something in.
- 20:19Speaker 2: That's what I like about it. Sometimes when I'm I
- 20:21Speaker 2: watch a movie and I'm not stoned. I'm like right away, like, oh.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Like you know this is this is not necessary, this
- 20:28Speaker 1: is gratuitous, or this is too much sex, or this
- 20:30Speaker 1: is what I want to.
- 20:32Speaker 4: Drop, like for watching all these Academy movies.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it's first of all, some of it's homework,
- 20:39Speaker 1: and I hate things that feel like homework.
- 20:42Speaker 4: But but I should be stoned. I'm I'm I think
- 20:46Speaker 4: I bought gummies I like CBD, but I haven't taken
- 20:50Speaker 4: them yet because I'm afraid to get stoned because the
- 20:53Speaker 4: times I've been really stone have been people. I'm sure
- 20:57Speaker 4: I've told you some of these stories before. It's bad,
- 21:00Speaker 4: but I think I should do that because when I
- 21:01Speaker 4: was watching another movie the night, I'm like, ugh, why
- 21:04Speaker 4: are they shooting it at that well? Why are we
- 21:06Speaker 4: watching it from this direction? Why do they say that?
- 21:08Speaker 4: Like okay too, Like I'm just judging everything exactly.
- 21:11Speaker 1: And that's that's that's the best gift that cannabis gives me,
- 21:15Speaker 1: is to drop the judgment.
- 21:16Speaker 2: I just can be and enjoy something.
- 21:18Speaker 1: So we need to just find you the right concoction
- 21:21Speaker 1: because I know your personality is a little bit tricky
- 21:23Speaker 1: with drugs and stuff.
- 21:24Speaker 4: There's like a two point five THHC gummy that has
- 21:27Speaker 4: like a lot more CBD in it as Charlotte's Web.
- 21:30Speaker 1: It can have a lot more CBD in it because
- 21:31Speaker 1: it's two point five milligrams, so whatever it has to see.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Yeah, but it doesn't.
- 21:36Speaker 1: That's two point It's like that's nothing anyway, So two
- 21:39Speaker 1: point five.
- 21:39Speaker 4: I'm not a scientist.
- 21:41Speaker 5: I am.
- 21:41Speaker 2: I am a scientist. Soy scientist stuff, soy.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Astronauta soy, so askedro Glida. Let's talk about what's happening
- 21:51Speaker 1: on this farm that you live on.
- 21:53Speaker 2: I love that you live in the cat Skills on
- 21:55Speaker 2: a farm with your two kids and your husband.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Is it's so night. Tell us about your life and
- 22:00Speaker 1: my mom and your mom. Yeah, she'd right over there.
- 22:03Speaker 2: Hi mom, I.
- 22:05Speaker 4: Can't hear you because you put maybe put headphones. Else
- 22:09Speaker 4: is here, decrepit sixteen year old dog.
- 22:11Speaker 1: She's waving, Oh your poor dog.
- 22:16Speaker 4: I know. And I saw him yesterday. I was on
- 22:19Speaker 4: I was on his zoom and I saw him whip
- 22:21Speaker 4: by so fast from the barn to the house, and
- 22:24Speaker 4: I saw car backing up, and I was like, this
- 22:26Speaker 4: might be the woman no, it might be the woman.
- 22:28Speaker 4: He gets it or falls because of the ice. And
- 22:32Speaker 4: he's an idiot. He's sixteen, and he keeps running, tries
- 22:35Speaker 4: to eat everything. Anyway, The farm's great, it's it's great.
- 22:39Speaker 4: It's great. I'm leaving again right after I talk to you,
- 22:41Speaker 4: and I gotta go to the city and do some
- 22:43Speaker 4: concerts tonight. I don't even want to. I don't even know.
- 22:46Speaker 2: Are you singing?
- 22:47Speaker 4: Singing some some stuff from the a lead?
- 22:50Speaker 2: And so your mom's there to hold down the fort
- 22:52Speaker 2: while you.
- 22:52Speaker 4: Go with Tommy. And then although he's in the city
- 22:56Speaker 4: right now, because he also had a life, it's really tricky.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Yeah, where why does he get to have a life?
- 23:03Speaker 4: No, the no, it's great. It's it's just it was
- 23:07Speaker 4: six degrees when we got up today, and so all
- 23:09Speaker 4: the animals are walking on ice, and when they have
- 23:12Speaker 4: four feet, right, four legs, all of them have four legs,
- 23:17Speaker 4: four wheel drive. It's great. And there are a lot
- 23:20Speaker 4: of them in the barn, and so it's it's we
- 23:22Speaker 4: got a lot of heat lamps up, and I always
- 23:24Speaker 4: think about fires, and you know, it's it's managing a lot.
- 23:28Speaker 4: And I understand that I chose this life so I
- 23:32Speaker 4: can't whine about it. But it's tricky. I like the
- 23:36Speaker 4: word tricky.
- 23:37Speaker 2: I do too, I'm cos yeah.
- 23:40Speaker 1: And it's also you have to keep an eye on
- 23:41Speaker 1: It's not that you're complaining about it. You just have
- 23:43Speaker 1: a lot, a bigger set of responsibilities.
- 23:45Speaker 4: This morning, I drop the kids off and said goodbye
- 23:47Speaker 4: and cried because I should be getting my period eighty second.
- 23:51Speaker 2: Did they cry?
- 23:52Speaker 7: No?
- 23:53Speaker 2: Yeah, I cry.
- 23:55Speaker 4: And and their classrooms are next to each other. It's
- 23:58Speaker 4: it's a nice life. And and then I got back
- 24:01Speaker 4: and I decided to go with the time. I had
- 24:03Speaker 4: to help the person who's feeding right now and do
- 24:07Speaker 4: the stalls and do the take the horseshit out of
- 24:11Speaker 4: the stalls and put new shavings in the stalls and
- 24:13Speaker 4: do the buckets and stuff. And that is my least
- 24:16Speaker 4: favorite chore. But I did it because I wanted to
- 24:18Speaker 4: feel productive and like I was being helpful.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I get that feeling all that.
- 24:23Speaker 1: I always feel like what am I really contributing, you know,
- 24:26Speaker 1: other than my personality, because I don't make a ton
- 24:28Speaker 1: of contributions, like I can't do cook.
- 24:31Speaker 2: I mean I'm trying to.
- 24:32Speaker 1: But last night I tried to take out these sweet
- 24:33Speaker 1: potatoes from the oven, and the pan fell out of
- 24:36Speaker 1: my hands, and then all the sweet potatoes fell into
- 24:39Speaker 1: the crease of the oven.
- 24:40Speaker 2: So I had nailed it.
- 24:41Speaker 1: I had made a turkey burger with cheese, grilled onions,
- 24:44Speaker 1: and a poached egg on top. I was like, fuck
- 24:47Speaker 1: me right now, I'm the ruler of all kitchens.
- 24:51Speaker 2: And then I.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Went to go take out the sweet potatoes as a
- 24:54Speaker 1: nice little accent, and then everything went sideways.
- 24:56Speaker 2: So I declared victory too early.
- 24:58Speaker 1: So that's as like sophisticated as I've ever gotten in
- 25:01Speaker 1: the kitchen was last night's turkey burger.
- 25:03Speaker 4: I don't even know how to poach an egg.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Oh, oh, well great. I love being one step ahead
- 25:08Speaker 1: of you in the kitchen. Oh you're seventy thousand steps
- 25:12Speaker 1: out of me in the kitchen. I don't know anything.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Well, it sounds like you know how to farm a
- 25:15Speaker 2: little bit.
- 25:16Speaker 4: Yeah, but that's not in the kitchen.
- 25:18Speaker 1: No, but it sounds like you're making a contribution, like, yeah, yes,
- 25:21Speaker 1: you're right.
- 25:22Speaker 2: Can you clean? Like are you good at cleaning up messes?
- 25:25Speaker 4: Yes?
- 25:26Speaker 2: Okay, I can't do that either. No I can't. I
- 25:28Speaker 2: just guess you can. I could, I guess, but I
- 25:30Speaker 2: don't ever heard.
- 25:31Speaker 4: Of a cloroxoide.
- 25:32Speaker 2: I don't like to just I don't like any sort
- 25:34Speaker 2: of like stain removal. I have to get someone else involved.
- 25:38Speaker 4: All the Really, if you're all alone and one of
- 25:40Speaker 4: the dogs is two, right, there's one now? Yeah, snack, yeah, snack,
- 25:45Speaker 4: and a snack takes a giant dump on your.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Carpet, Snack will get put down. If he did something
- 25:50Speaker 1: like that, that would make he's.
- 25:51Speaker 4: Gone up because he's going to get old.
- 25:53Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no, no, he's First of all,
- 25:55Speaker 2: he's not going to get old.
- 25:56Speaker 1: I will clone him before that happens. Secondly, he's two
- 25:59Speaker 1: and a half. So don't get ahead of yourself and
- 26:00Speaker 1: project about your sixteen year old dog.
- 26:02Speaker 2: Okay to my two and a half.
- 26:05Speaker 1: I said, Demanda, picture of snack of dog the other day,
- 26:08Speaker 1: and she goes, that's a snack. What's your dog's name again, Ben?
- 26:15Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, Finn's been around forever. Finn has these
- 26:18Speaker 1: crazy eyes too. Doesn't he have two different color eyes?
- 26:21Speaker 4: Nope, you're getting that confused with somebody else's dog. M interesting,
- 26:26Speaker 4: But I do have a horse with two different color eyes.
- 26:28Speaker 4: Oh yeah, you're such a farmer. I love it, Amanda.
- 26:32Speaker 4: Tell me why you decided to move to a farm.
- 26:36Speaker 4: You know why not?
- 26:38Speaker 1: But do you think that it helps I think it
- 26:40Speaker 1: probably helps you when you go away a ton, right,
- 26:44Speaker 1: like for your work and career, it's so nice to
- 26:47Speaker 1: be removed from all of that.
- 26:50Speaker 4: It's it's that you it's so basic here. It's not
- 26:54Speaker 4: it's not basic like basic meaning nature is bigger than
- 27:00Speaker 4: you here, like you in the mountains, like you're inside
- 27:05Speaker 4: of this giant world and you in some ways you've
- 27:11Speaker 4: be protected because nature is very powerful. But it's it's
- 27:17Speaker 4: not trying to fuck with you. It's not judging you.
- 27:21Speaker 4: It's not trying to take your job or belittle you
- 27:25Speaker 4: or manipulate you. It's just there. And when all the
- 27:30Speaker 4: noise is gone, there's probably a frequency, a lower frequency
- 27:34Speaker 4: that you're operating on, which is probably really healthy. And
- 27:38Speaker 4: also like you get to worry about real things. And
- 27:41Speaker 4: I'm not saying that like living in Hollywood or living
- 27:43Speaker 4: in New York City is bad for me. I'm just saying, like,
- 27:47Speaker 4: I mean, take it a chunk of it and really
- 27:49Speaker 4: enjoy myself, you know, getting in an uber and going
- 27:52Speaker 4: from one place in the next and then walking from
- 27:54Speaker 4: one block to the next and getting a Starbucks and
- 27:56Speaker 4: a day bar bagel and a pedicure, always an hour.
- 28:01Speaker 4: It's dreamy, but it's you know, it's for a good
- 28:05Speaker 4: temporary fix.
- 28:07Speaker 2: It can be taxing.
- 28:08Speaker 4: It can be taxing. Yeah, I don't need all that energy.
- 28:10Speaker 2: I'm with you. I listen.
- 28:11Speaker 1: I spend about forty five days a year max in
- 28:14Speaker 1: Los Angeles because I love to just be out and
- 28:16Speaker 1: about in different places.
- 28:17Speaker 2: So I can relate to what you're saying.
- 28:19Speaker 1: Let's as Catherine you said, we have a caller, right,
- 28:22Speaker 1: We're gonna take a quick break. We're gonna be back
- 28:24Speaker 1: with Amanda Seyphred, and we're gonna take a caller because
- 28:26Speaker 1: a man, I think you should be.
- 28:27Speaker 2: Giving advice to people.
- 28:28Speaker 1: That's the obvious next step, and this is an advice
- 28:30Speaker 1: call in show.
- 28:31Speaker 2: So we're gonna take a break. We'll be right back.
- 28:37Speaker 1: And we're back with Amanda Ceiphred and we're taking our
- 28:40Speaker 1: first caller, Amanda.
- 28:41Speaker 2: Okay, so lock in.
- 28:44Speaker 5: I'm really excited about this question. So Angela, I'm not
- 28:48Speaker 5: gonna read the subject line because it kind of gives
- 28:50Speaker 5: it away. It's fairy don't great, she says, Dear Chelsea,
- 28:53Speaker 5: I'm a thirty four year old child free woman in
- 28:56Speaker 5: what feels like a full blown real life plot twist.
- 28:59Speaker 5: Two years I left my job and finally chased my dream,
- 29:02Speaker 5: starting my own floral business specializing in senior assisted living centers.
- 29:07Speaker 5: Since then, I've been piecing a living together with part
- 29:09Speaker 5: time gigs until one of those just ended. And now
- 29:12Speaker 5: it's go big or go broke. But also it's terrifying
- 29:15Speaker 5: but also a little thrilling. Here's where it gets messy.
- 29:18Speaker 5: Seven months ago, at a giant flower conference, I met
- 29:21Speaker 5: a man who owns a rose business in Ecuador. We
- 29:24Speaker 5: spent six hours talking and surprisingly fell into a long
- 29:28Speaker 5: distance whirlwind romance.
- 29:30Speaker 2: I love it already.
- 29:32Speaker 5: I've never been known as a hopeless romantic, but he's
- 29:34Speaker 5: turned out to be my exception. Since then, we've seen
- 29:37Speaker 5: each other about every six weeks Ecuador, Spain, Rome, the
- 29:40Speaker 5: whole Montage. It's dreamy but draining my bank account. And
- 29:43Speaker 5: while he hopes I'll eventually join him in Ecuador, I'm
- 29:46Speaker 5: still trying to keep my business alive. Here do I
- 29:48Speaker 5: double down on my business plan or go full eat
- 29:51Speaker 5: prey love Florist Edition, Sincerely a confused Realist.
- 29:54Speaker 3: Angela.
- 29:55Speaker 2: Hi Angela.
- 29:57Speaker 1: First of all, yeh, fucking go for it. First, you
- 30:00Speaker 1: should the look in Amanda's eyes. She's in love. Now
- 30:04Speaker 1: look at her. She's looking at Fault and her husband
- 30:06Speaker 1: the first time they fell in love. We all have
- 30:09Speaker 1: love in our eyes. You have to go for this adventure.
- 30:12Speaker 1: That is my passionate opinion about life. Anytime there's a
- 30:16Speaker 1: time to take a jump, and you've been given some
- 30:18Speaker 1: proof that that's the right jump, you don't even need
- 30:20Speaker 1: the proof. You just need to trust your instincts and
- 30:23Speaker 1: go for it. What's stopping you?
- 30:25Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean, I guess, I just I've built my
- 30:27Speaker 8: life here. I live in Buffalo. I'm not from Buffalo,
- 30:31Speaker 8: and I came here eight years ago, and I've like
- 30:33Speaker 8: built my life here, and so it just feels so
- 30:38Speaker 8: I guess, almost wrong to let it go after I
- 30:42Speaker 8: put so much work in to it for a man.
- 30:45Speaker 8: But then again, it's like like I said, he's kind
- 30:47Speaker 8: of my exception.
- 30:48Speaker 4: It's so different letting it go. It's still there. I mean,
- 30:53Speaker 4: first of all, Buffalo.
- 30:55Speaker 8: Yeah, I know.
- 30:56Speaker 4: Again, I get out just very little.
- 31:00Speaker 8: I lovely too, but it's.
- 31:03Speaker 2: It's coming from a woman on a farm in the snow.
- 31:06Speaker 2: Is there anyone that can watch your business while your
- 31:09Speaker 2: you go in gallivant around with your guy from Ecuador?
- 31:12Speaker 8: I mean, not fully yet, just because it's such a
- 31:17Speaker 8: small business. I've been running it pretty much by myself.
- 31:20Speaker 8: But I am going for a month on the nineteenth,
- 31:24Speaker 8: So I'm going to stay there for a month just
- 31:26Speaker 8: to kind of give it a little bit of a
- 31:27Speaker 8: trial run then, I guess, just to see how it
- 31:30Speaker 8: will all work out.
- 31:31Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 31:32Speaker 1: It's just so, is there anyone in that month that
- 31:34Speaker 1: you can have, like try and run the business for
- 31:36Speaker 1: you while you're gone, just to give someone a test run?
- 31:39Speaker 8: A woman I haven't like, Yeah, obviously I haven't like
- 31:43Speaker 8: set anyone up to do that yet, So I guess
- 31:46Speaker 8: that would be something that I would I'd probably think
- 31:49Speaker 8: of that doing that before after, like if I go again.
- 31:53Speaker 1: I know, but just to but to give someone a
- 31:55Speaker 1: trial run would give you a lot more like confidence
- 31:58Speaker 1: in maintaining your business. You go and do this just
- 32:01Speaker 1: in case you need to, Like I understand, giving up
- 32:03Speaker 1: everything that you've built is more of a harder period
- 32:06Speaker 1: to swallow in search of romance. But like if you
- 32:10Speaker 1: go and you go down to Ecuador and live with
- 32:12Speaker 1: this guy, are you guys going to be working together
- 32:14Speaker 1: down there?
- 32:15Speaker 7: No?
- 32:15Speaker 8: I would have to like find probably a remote job
- 32:18Speaker 8: or a job down there where it's English speaking, because
- 32:22Speaker 8: even though dueling go's great, it's just not doing it
- 32:24Speaker 8: for me right now.
- 32:25Speaker 2: Well, you have to be on Are you on a streak?
- 32:27Speaker 2: Are you on to do a lingo streak?
- 32:28Speaker 9: Oh?
- 32:29Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm over two hundred days. Like I metam Like,
- 32:32Speaker 8: oh okay.
- 32:34Speaker 2: Much better than me. What am I talking about, Amanda?
- 32:38Speaker 2: What do you have to say about this?
- 32:39Speaker 4: Well, listen, yeah, it's no small thing. But I don't
- 32:44Speaker 4: see it as you leave in your life for good forever.
- 32:47Speaker 4: It's not like you have a one way ticket and
- 32:49Speaker 4: you can't come back. It's like you life is so sure,
- 32:57Speaker 4: it's like what are we doing? I mean, if you
- 33:01Speaker 4: feel something like that, like that you have that kind
- 33:03Speaker 4: of fire in you. This for this experience. It's not
- 33:06Speaker 4: for a guy. It's for the experience of being in
- 33:08Speaker 4: love and like traveling the world. It's it's a big
- 33:11Speaker 4: it's bigger than a guy. So it's like when you
- 33:13Speaker 4: characterize it as leaving your life for a guy, that's
- 33:15Speaker 4: not really what's happening. I mean, I think you trust
- 33:18Speaker 4: yourself in some ways. You're already going for a month.
- 33:20Speaker 4: It's true that you could hire somebody to take care
- 33:23Speaker 4: of it, or you can shut it down for a
- 33:25Speaker 4: month and see and see how it goes. But I
- 33:28Speaker 4: think you take this opportunity to find someone who's willing
- 33:31Speaker 4: to maybe keep it, keep it alive for you, because
- 33:34Speaker 4: if you also have that connection back to your business
- 33:36Speaker 4: while you're there, as stressful as it could possibly be,
- 33:40Speaker 4: it would still make you feel like you can do both.
- 33:43Speaker 3: And then you have a little income.
- 33:44Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 33:45Speaker 1: And also when you say yes to life, life says
- 33:47Speaker 1: yes to you. That's just what happens. When you take
- 33:50Speaker 1: big risks, you get big rewards most of the time.
- 33:53Speaker 1: And like you've met this guy, I trust that you're
- 33:55Speaker 1: a sensible person. Just in the short time that you've
- 33:57Speaker 1: been talking, you don't seem unstable or off balance.
- 34:01Speaker 2: Or in you know.
- 34:02Speaker 1: And and I loved what Amanda just said. It's bigger
- 34:05Speaker 1: than a guy. It's about being in love and about
- 34:07Speaker 1: the experience of love. It doesn't matter who the person is.
- 34:10Speaker 1: So I think that you really do have to go
- 34:13Speaker 1: down and listen. You're gonna go down for a month
- 34:14Speaker 1: and you're gonna have your answer anyway.
- 34:16Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, I would just plan that after I wrote
- 34:19Speaker 8: in So, yeah, I guess that will be a big tell.
- 34:23Speaker 4: Nice.
- 34:24Speaker 2: There is no better feeling than falling in love. It
- 34:26Speaker 2: is the best feeling.
- 34:27Speaker 1: Yeah, the texting, the flirting, the phone calls. If you're
- 34:31Speaker 1: into phone calls, I'm not, but all of it is
- 34:34Speaker 1: so fun.
- 34:35Speaker 8: You Yeah, I have to be into phone calls now.
- 34:38Speaker 1: So yeah, face times that's the yeah what I really
- 34:41Speaker 1: get to me?
- 34:42Speaker 2: Yeah, time I got.
- 34:45Speaker 1: I got two face times yesterday. And my new policy
- 34:48Speaker 1: is say yes, answer the call. Answer the call, because
- 34:51Speaker 1: I always just put it to voicemail. I'm like no, no, no,
- 34:53Speaker 1: and I answer both calls. And both of them were
- 34:55Speaker 1: really like great, fun, high vibe, like thirty minute phone calls.
- 34:58Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm glad I did that. I'm going to
- 35:00Speaker 1: to start, you know, doing this more often. It's a
- 35:02Speaker 1: nice way to connect to people.
- 35:04Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, I feel better after after the fact.
- 35:08Speaker 2: Okay, well, go live your life, sister. You're fine, you
- 35:10Speaker 2: don't need us.
- 35:11Speaker 1: You're gonna have a great time and let us know
- 35:13Speaker 1: what happens after a month and report back to Catherine
- 35:16Speaker 1: so we can stay tuned.
- 35:17Speaker 8: Okay, yeah, okay, sounds good. Thanks guys.
- 35:20Speaker 4: All right, and have fun and Ecuador and write about it.
- 35:23Speaker 8: Yeah right, make sure you're journaling about it, yeah, every day,
- 35:27Speaker 8: Like I'm going to do at least like a couple sentences.
- 35:30Speaker 8: I decided while I'm there, just to kind of keep
- 35:32Speaker 8: track of where my mind's at.
- 35:33Speaker 2: So yeah, that's a good habit to get into, you know.
- 35:38Speaker 2: All right, thank you, Okay, thanks, take care. Thanks, that's exciting.
- 35:43Speaker 3: So funny, how I know.
- 35:44Speaker 5: Sometimes people are like, it's so excited and thrilled for something,
- 35:47Speaker 5: and then they hold themselves back because they're like, do
- 35:49Speaker 5: I really I don't know if it's a deserve this thing,
- 35:51Speaker 5: but it's like should I should?
- 35:53Speaker 4: I like, yes, you should.
- 35:55Speaker 1: But people are scared they're gonna because it's like listen,
- 35:57Speaker 1: as a woman, you give up your whole thing, your
- 36:00Speaker 1: business that you built for a man. Like we if
- 36:02Speaker 1: the guy lived here and was like, okay, you have
- 36:04Speaker 1: to I don't want you working, we would say no,
- 36:06Speaker 1: get run as fast as you can away from that guy.
- 36:09Speaker 1: So it is hard as a woman when you've built
- 36:11Speaker 1: something to say like, oh, I'm going to abandon it.
- 36:13Speaker 2: I understand that.
- 36:15Speaker 5: I'm glad you encourage her to, like have somebody else
- 36:17Speaker 5: run it while you're while you're gone, so.
- 36:19Speaker 3: She's got a little give it away.
- 36:21Speaker 4: Yeah. Also there's airplanes exist, Buffalo will still be there.
- 36:26Speaker 2: Buffalo to Ecuador, Yeah, I choose it sucks.
- 36:30Speaker 4: But also can he come here?
- 36:33Speaker 3: Want to?
- 36:34Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 36:34Speaker 1: It doesn't sound like it's a good time for anyone
- 36:36Speaker 1: from Ecuador to be coming here.
- 36:37Speaker 2: But anyway, Oh, you.
- 36:39Speaker 4: Know what, sometimes I'm living in the you know.
- 36:47Speaker 2: In that farm will do it to you. I don't
- 36:50Speaker 2: I don't blame you.
- 36:51Speaker 3: It's just idelic were well. Our next color is Lindsay.
- 36:55Speaker 5: She is thirty three, and she says, Dear Chelsea, sorry,
- 36:59Speaker 5: this is long. I I met my fiance Bryden almost
- 37:02Speaker 5: twelve years ago when we were about twenty one, working
- 37:05Speaker 5: at the same restaurant. We quickly started dating. When we
- 37:07Speaker 5: first hooked up, I knew he was a keeper. On
- 37:10Speaker 5: top of that, he's respectful, hilarious, and incredible listener, devoted
- 37:14Speaker 5: to me and lets me know about it every single day.
- 37:16Speaker 5: I genuinely feel that I found one of the good ones.
- 37:19Speaker 5: We're just now embarking on this new adventure of getting married.
- 37:22Speaker 5: The time is now officially here, and I'm freaking out.
- 37:25Speaker 5: My parents' marriage was rough. My dad, a white American,
- 37:28Speaker 5: moved to Indonesia after college to work as an accountant
- 37:31Speaker 5: for an oil company, where my mom, a native Indonesian,
- 37:34Speaker 5: was a secretary. I think they were happily married for
- 37:37Speaker 5: some time, but my dad says he had a midlife
- 37:39Speaker 5: crisis in his early forties and had an affair with
- 37:41Speaker 5: a woman nearly half his age. I don't exactly know
- 37:44Speaker 5: when this crisis started, but it's really all I remember
- 37:47Speaker 5: of their marriage. I never witnessed any affection or kindness
- 37:50Speaker 5: between my parents. In the rare times my dad was home,
- 37:52Speaker 5: we all walked on eggshells. He frequently took so called
- 37:56Speaker 5: business trips, which we eventually realized were excuses to spend
- 37:59Speaker 5: time with his mistress. When he wasn't with her, she
- 38:01Speaker 5: would turn her focus on us, harassing us with relentless
- 38:04Speaker 5: phone calls and public outbursts, causing scenes. Side note, my
- 38:09Speaker 5: mom nicknamed her the Bee since we weren't allowed to curse.
- 38:12Speaker 5: They even had a child together before my parents divorce
- 38:15Speaker 5: was finalized. And these are just some of the many
- 38:17Speaker 5: painful experiences that I can't fully capture in a single email.
- 38:21Speaker 5: When I was eight, my mom finally saved enough of
- 38:23Speaker 5: her own money to flee to the US and access
- 38:25Speaker 5: the protections and writes granted to her under the American
- 38:27Speaker 5: justice system as the spouse of a US citizen. For
- 38:30Speaker 5: whatever reason, my dad and the Bee are still together
- 38:33Speaker 5: to this day, and my dad frankly seems unhappy, if
- 38:36Speaker 5: not miserable. To put it lightly, the Bee is a
- 38:39Speaker 5: nuisance of family gatherings. She's impulsive, acts in appropriately, and
- 38:42Speaker 5: gives irrelevant commentary. She's not the most socially adept person
- 38:46Speaker 5: and could possibly suffer from mental health issues, which I
- 38:49Speaker 5: completely understand and can relate to, but there's no indication
- 38:52Speaker 5: she's sought professional help. Despite this, my siblings and I
- 38:55Speaker 5: have done our best to tolerate the discomfort of being
- 38:57Speaker 5: civil towards her for the sake of our family. Yes,
- 39:00Speaker 5: our dad is arguably a POS, but at least my brother, sister,
- 39:04Speaker 5: and I have an amazing.
- 39:05Speaker 3: Superhuman mom.
- 39:06Speaker 5: It's important for me to keep a positive relationship with
- 39:09Speaker 5: my half siblings and offer any guidance or advice if
- 39:12Speaker 5: they ever need it. But this all brings me to
- 39:14Speaker 5: my dilemma. My fiance and I do not want the
- 39:16Speaker 5: Bee at our wedding. So how do we navigate the situation?
- 39:19Speaker 4: Love?
- 39:19Speaker 3: Lindsay?
- 39:20Speaker 1: Oh okay, Hi Lindsay, how are you Hi?
- 39:24Speaker 2: This is our special guest Amanda Ceipher today.
- 39:27Speaker 9: Sorry, Hi, nice to see you.
- 39:30Speaker 1: I'm sorry, that's a really difficult, crappy situation. I'm so
- 39:34Speaker 1: happy that you're getting married though, And just know that,
- 39:37Speaker 1: like you know, our parents don't define us at all.
- 39:39Speaker 1: I couldn't be more opposite than both of my parents.
- 39:42Speaker 1: Sometimes they give you like a roadmap of what not
- 39:44Speaker 1: to do, you know, and so like your marriage will
- 39:47Speaker 1: be completely different than the ones than the one your
- 39:49Speaker 1: parents had, just from the how insightful you are because
- 39:53Speaker 1: of this.
- 39:53Speaker 2: Now your half siblings are from the Bee?
- 39:56Speaker 9: Yes?
- 39:56Speaker 2: And how many are there?
- 39:58Speaker 9: I have two half siblings and then one step brother
- 40:01Speaker 9: as well that she had from a previous relationship.
- 40:05Speaker 4: Do they love the Bee?
- 40:08Speaker 9: Yeah? I think so?
- 40:09Speaker 4: Ah.
- 40:10Speaker 1: No, no, no, that's a fair question. So they love her?
- 40:13Speaker 1: And do they know how you feel about her?
- 40:16Speaker 9: We've never spoken about it directly. I think there's always
- 40:19Speaker 9: some I can tell that they also feel uncomfortable at times,
- 40:23Speaker 9: you know, when she acts out.
- 40:25Speaker 1: Well, I think like you have to be prepared if
- 40:27Speaker 1: you disinvite her, which you totally have every right to do,
- 40:31Speaker 1: your father is probably gonna not come either. There's a
- 40:33Speaker 1: chance that that happens, right.
- 40:36Speaker 9: Right, And I actually do have an update. Since I
- 40:39Speaker 9: initially wrote the email, we really needed to get going
- 40:42Speaker 9: on the wedding planning. And honestly, Chelsea, I knew what
- 40:45Speaker 9: you were going to say to me, probably to just
- 40:47Speaker 9: do it, to have a conversation with him, and he
- 40:50Speaker 9: actually was really receptive and agreed to not have her
- 40:56Speaker 9: come to the Balie wedding. He is also still committed
- 40:59Speaker 9: to contribute financially despite that.
- 41:03Speaker 2: So wow, it's great. Yeah, this is a great update.
- 41:06Speaker 2: Thanks for bringing one.
- 41:08Speaker 3: Now are your your half siblings? They're all gonna come as.
- 41:11Speaker 9: Well, or some can't make it just because of other obligations.
- 41:17Speaker 9: But yes that I have extended the invites to them. Yeah.
- 41:22Speaker 9: So right now, it's the holidays and I'm going to
- 41:24Speaker 9: have to face everyone in person pretty soon, including the Bee.
- 41:28Speaker 9: So it is a little bit, you know, nerve wracking.
- 41:32Speaker 2: But you know what, hold your ground. You made a boundary.
- 41:35Speaker 2: You stood up for what you want at your wedding
- 41:37Speaker 2: on your wedding day. That is the most important. The
- 41:40Speaker 2: most important person on any wedding day is the bride.
- 41:42Speaker 2: Fuck the groom. Okay, so the bride, it's your day.
- 41:46Speaker 1: You created a boundary, you're self respecting, your self preserving.
- 41:51Speaker 1: All of these things are really strong choices that you've made.
- 41:54Speaker 1: You did this all on your own, so like you're
- 41:56Speaker 1: already a g Like this is all good stuff, and
- 41:59Speaker 1: you can look at her in the eye with dignity
- 42:01Speaker 1: because at least you were upfront and honest about what
- 42:05Speaker 1: you want.
- 42:05Speaker 2: You know what I mean, and now, and just take
- 42:08Speaker 2: the hot air out of it. There's only tension if
- 42:10Speaker 2: you allow tension to be if there's two people creating tension.
- 42:13Speaker 2: If there's no tension coming from you, she has no
- 42:15Speaker 2: one to have tension with in the first place.
- 42:18Speaker 9: Totally, totally. Yeah, I hear you, and it's going to
- 42:21Speaker 9: be uncomfortable for me too, but I just have to
- 42:23Speaker 9: deal with it.
- 42:24Speaker 1: Yeah, you just have to deal with it, and that's okay.
- 42:26Speaker 1: But you know what, you don't have to deal with
- 42:28Speaker 1: her at your wedding, So that's raactly and I'm like,
- 42:31Speaker 1: I'm so so many women are going to be listening
- 42:33Speaker 1: to this and be inspired by you and taking charge
- 42:36Speaker 1: of the situation in the ways that in which you did.
- 42:39Speaker 2: And also giving hope to other people's fathers.
- 42:41Speaker 1: Like, I'm so pleased to hear that your dad was
- 42:42Speaker 1: so receptive that he's still contributing financially.
- 42:45Speaker 2: Your dad is probably miserable in his marriage. He probably is.
- 42:48Speaker 1: I mean, she sounds, you know, not ideal. So yeah,
- 42:53Speaker 1: so congrats on everything. You already crushed it. You're calling
- 42:56Speaker 1: in basically just doing a victory dance.
- 43:00Speaker 9: Definitely, No, I mean I still wanted to. I thought
- 43:03Speaker 9: it would still be a good conversation to have with you. Absolutely, yeah,
- 43:07Speaker 9: I'm super excited. Also, Chelsea, you're more than welcome to
- 43:10Speaker 9: join us when Bali.
- 43:12Speaker 2: Y Yeah, I love Bally. Next August is it in
- 43:16Speaker 2: Ubud or is it on the beach?
- 43:18Speaker 9: Actually a little bit southeast of Ubud in a city
- 43:23Speaker 9: called Mangus. It's more like old Bali, they say, just
- 43:27Speaker 9: like a little less crowded and less traffic.
- 43:30Speaker 1: Okay, well, why don't you Catherine follow up with her?
- 43:32Speaker 1: Because if I'm traveling in August, I'll totally swing By.
- 43:34Speaker 1: I love Balie. I need an excuse to go. There'd
- 43:37Speaker 1: be so event I don't know. Listen, I got invited
- 43:39Speaker 1: to a lot of weddings, but I will only go
- 43:41Speaker 1: to someone I just met.
- 43:43Speaker 9: Oh my god, that would be a dream, I know.
- 43:46Speaker 1: But don't get your hopes up. I mean, I can't commit,
- 43:48Speaker 1: but you never know. With me, I could show up.
- 43:50Speaker 9: I could just this conversation is everything, So I love it.
- 43:54Speaker 2: I love it. Thank you so much for calling in, Lindsay.
- 43:56Speaker 9: Of course, thank you so much for taking time.
- 43:58Speaker 7: Great.
- 43:59Speaker 2: Yeah, this is that's awesome. I hope I make it.
- 44:01Speaker 3: Yeah, have so much fun, Lindsey.
- 44:03Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, kay grists.
- 44:05Speaker 9: Thank you. And can I just say, Chelsea, I've been
- 44:08Speaker 9: following you for a long time. I used to watch
- 44:10Speaker 9: Chelsea Lately every single night, and you know, sometimes we
- 44:15Speaker 9: kind of live in a dark world. So I really
- 44:17Speaker 9: appreciate you for bringing laughter and joy to the world.
- 44:21Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 44:21Speaker 9: I love your comedy and what you do, so keep
- 44:24Speaker 9: at it.
- 44:24Speaker 2: Thank you, Thank you so much.
- 44:25Speaker 1: You know what, Also, Catherine hook her up with two
- 44:27Speaker 1: tickets for next year's tour. Sure, because I'm doing a tour,
- 44:30Speaker 1: the High Mighty Tour we're gonna and I'm sure I'm
- 44:33Speaker 1: coming to a city near you. If I haven't announced
- 44:35Speaker 1: it yet, I'll be announcing more dates. But we're gonna
- 44:37Speaker 1: hook you up with tickets so you can come and
- 44:38Speaker 1: say hi.
- 44:39Speaker 9: Oh my god, thank you so much. I know you're
- 44:41Speaker 9: coming to Denver and I haven't been able to make
- 44:44Speaker 9: it to one of your shows. I really wanted to
- 44:47Speaker 9: go to the Red Rocks one, but I just couldn't
- 44:49Speaker 9: make it happen. So I really appreciate that.
- 44:52Speaker 1: That's okay, we'll make it happen at the Paramount in Denver.
- 44:54Speaker 1: I'm coming there. Yes, absolutely, we're going to make it happen. Okay, fun,
- 44:58Speaker 1: I love it, I love it.
- 44:59Speaker 4: Thanks, thank you so much.
- 45:00Speaker 2: A fun Okay.
- 45:02Speaker 7: Bye.
- 45:03Speaker 4: Oh you're fucking Santa Claus.
- 45:05Speaker 1: Oh my god, I feel like Santa Claus. It's the
- 45:07Speaker 1: Christmas season, you guys.
- 45:09Speaker 4: Isn't it nice though, to know that you're gonna be
- 45:12Speaker 4: like in different cities, like if you know specifically where
- 45:14Speaker 4: you're gonna be, and like you can offer that to
- 45:17Speaker 4: people and it's just like and you're giving access with
- 45:20Speaker 4: this with this show, people can call it's just you
- 45:24Speaker 4: also two for two, like some pretty badass women just
- 45:28Speaker 4: called in like uhhh, I'm here for it.
- 45:31Speaker 2: I love it. I love it.
- 45:32Speaker 1: All Right, we're gonna take a break and we're gonna
- 45:34Speaker 1: come back and wrap.
- 45:35Speaker 2: Up with Amanda. And we're back with Amanda Ceiphred.
- 45:43Speaker 1: One of my favorite people I really ever since I
- 45:46Speaker 1: first interviewed it Amanda, it was probably on Chelsea lately
- 45:48Speaker 1: it was I've loved her.
- 45:50Speaker 2: She is so fucking funny.
- 45:52Speaker 1: She's weird, and she says things that are inappropriate.
- 45:57Speaker 3: I love that.
- 45:59Speaker 1: And you're not like an actor actor, even though you're
- 46:02Speaker 1: a great actor, you're you don't take yourself seriously. And
- 46:06Speaker 1: I think that is really the ingredient that makes people
- 46:09Speaker 1: the most likable is when they don't take themselves so seriously.
- 46:13Speaker 4: Thanks. And it was like like I reached out to
- 46:15Speaker 4: you after the shit a shit storm, recent shit storm,
- 46:18Speaker 4: which I'm not used to, used to operating in a
- 46:21Speaker 4: ship storm, but it happened, and like I reached out
- 46:24Speaker 4: to you.
- 46:25Speaker 3: I don't know why.
- 46:26Speaker 4: I felt like you were were similar that we don't
- 46:29Speaker 4: take ourselves very seriously, and you are actually a comedian
- 46:31Speaker 4: and but you actually know your you know your shit,
- 46:34Speaker 4: and it was like it made me feel so much better.
- 46:37Speaker 4: Thanks for for like at least like you're like, you're fine.
- 46:41Speaker 4: I don't know why, you know what I mean, it's
- 46:43Speaker 4: something that you had posted. I don't know.
- 46:45Speaker 2: No, no, no, I understand.
- 46:47Speaker 1: But before we close, I just want to ask you,
- 46:49Speaker 1: how did you meet your husband on stage? I mean,
- 46:53Speaker 1: I I did a stage play the last time, the
- 46:56Speaker 1: first and last time I will ever.
- 46:58Speaker 4: Do that to myself and my psyche.
- 47:02Speaker 2: Did you know, right?
- 47:03Speaker 4: Did you?
- 47:03Speaker 2: What was it like when you, like, when you guys
- 47:06Speaker 2: locked in?
- 47:07Speaker 4: I mean, I guess it was like a kind of
- 47:09Speaker 4: a long you know, when that happens, like we were
- 47:13Speaker 4: both involved with other people, but like, and I also
- 47:16Speaker 4: didn't know, like I I just assumed he thought I
- 47:19Speaker 4: was a loser, because that's kind of how I, you know,
- 47:23Speaker 4: viewed myself when it came to men. I worked on it.
- 47:28Speaker 4: I no longer feel that way, but thank god. But
- 47:31Speaker 4: I was, you know, like thirty or twenty nine, and
- 47:33Speaker 4: I was in a like a dead end relationship, and
- 47:37Speaker 4: I think that part of me had opened at that
- 47:39Speaker 4: point because I was so done with feeling like shit.
- 47:43Speaker 2: Because of relationships.
- 47:44Speaker 4: You mean, I was in relationship where I was completely
- 47:47Speaker 4: just like not seen. But I was also like, ooh,
- 47:51Speaker 4: I want to settle down. You know. I had the
- 47:53Speaker 4: dream of the kids, you know, very early on, but
- 47:57Speaker 4: so I part of me was kind of opened up.
- 47:58Speaker 4: And when I'm when I met him, I was just
- 48:00Speaker 4: like I really liked his voice, and I like the
- 48:02Speaker 4: fact that he like salt and pepper hair. He's only
- 48:05Speaker 4: like nine years older than me, but for some reason,
- 48:07Speaker 4: and he was like a he's a feeder guy, so
- 48:09Speaker 4: he his feet were so solidly on the ground when
- 48:12Speaker 4: it came to that kind of work, and I was
- 48:14Speaker 4: so scared. I was like floating, and I felt like
- 48:16Speaker 4: he kind of in some way figuratively pulled me down
- 48:21Speaker 4: and helped me through and supported me and had this
- 48:23Speaker 4: like unconditional support of me in that new realm that
- 48:27Speaker 4: I was in, and I had this amazing director, Lee Silverman,
- 48:29Speaker 4: and I just felt really safe and seen and it
- 48:34Speaker 4: was a new, wild, new experience that scared me. And
- 48:37Speaker 4: I think when you're really scared and you have someone
- 48:38Speaker 4: who's like here, take my hand, you kind of can't
- 48:42Speaker 4: help but fall in love with something about them, whether
- 48:45Speaker 4: they're a man from a woman, you feel safe. And
- 48:47Speaker 4: I felt safe with him and then the show was over,
- 48:51Speaker 4: he went back to La. My relationship ended, thank god, mercifully,
- 48:56Speaker 4: like immediately even before the show ended. And then we
- 49:00Speaker 4: talked a little bit. But then come January that next year,
- 49:03Speaker 4: he was out of his relationship, and uh, it was
- 49:07Speaker 4: so scary though. It was so scary to commit to
- 49:09Speaker 4: somebody because I was like, I'd been kind of burned
- 49:12Speaker 4: in my last relationship, so committing with him as a
- 49:15Speaker 4: person who was free, like a real because when I
- 49:18Speaker 4: was with him in the show, he wasn't a real
- 49:20Speaker 4: He wasn't an opportunity he was there was no opportunity there.
- 49:23Speaker 4: He was with somebody. I just was like, oh, I
- 49:26Speaker 4: know how this feels. This is where I want. It
- 49:28Speaker 4: doesn't have to be him, but I know how this feels.
- 49:31Speaker 4: And then of course it was so messy that summer,
- 49:33Speaker 4: just like dealing with like the the like ongoing just
- 49:39Speaker 4: like ongoing trauma of a breakup and then talking and
- 49:42Speaker 4: then and then like keeping the break. It was just
- 49:44Speaker 4: like uck. And then I crucheted myself into oblivion here
- 49:49Speaker 4: on the farm because I had already bought the farm
- 49:51Speaker 4: and I was all alone watching Felicity.
- 49:53Speaker 10: I watched Felicity she's another fan of mine. Car four days,
- 49:58Speaker 10: I watched the entire four scene with four Seasons, and
- 50:01Speaker 10: I was crocheting fucking Christmas stockings. And I had my friend,
- 50:07Speaker 10: my best friend, Peter, who I'm sure you know from
- 50:09Speaker 10: Netflix now he's at Amazon, came to see me and was.
- 50:13Speaker 4: Like, are you okay out of here? I'm like, I'm
- 50:18Speaker 4: fired of just getting ready for the Christmas season. And
- 50:21Speaker 4: he was October, so I was, I was great. I
- 50:27Speaker 4: was single. I wasn't great, so like that was. And
- 50:31Speaker 4: then going through all that and being alone and being
- 50:33Speaker 4: like out here in the woods with nobody for an
- 50:35Speaker 4: extended period of time. I went back to LA for
- 50:39Speaker 4: Christmas because my sister was out there and we all
- 50:41Speaker 4: went to LA for Christmas, and then like started like
- 50:43Speaker 4: meditating and cause I was just so lost, really like
- 50:48Speaker 4: horrible breakup, extended breakup. And then in January I was like,
- 50:53Speaker 4: I was like meditating with Alan Market like it was
- 50:56Speaker 4: in January. Oh dear, we met up his place in
- 51:02Speaker 4: La Dear, so.
- 51:03Speaker 2: Many deer you need to take or something? Did you
- 51:07Speaker 2: take your vance today?
- 51:10Speaker 4: My god, I forgot to take let's oh my god.
- 51:12Speaker 7: He just reminded me, Okay, you can take it last night.
- 51:18Speaker 2: Okay, take it, go take it right now.
- 51:21Speaker 4: You saved my day.
- 51:23Speaker 2: You don't understand, but anyway, it was great.
- 51:26Speaker 4: That's how I met him. Long story short, that I
- 51:30Speaker 4: met him.
- 51:30Speaker 1: What was the moment where you guys decided to be together?
- 51:33Speaker 1: Did you call him or did he call you?
- 51:36Speaker 7: I berated him because I saw him like a like
- 51:41Speaker 7: like another person's Instagram and I was like, oh, so
- 51:46Speaker 7: you're gonna like like now you're free.
- 51:48Speaker 4: Like I was an asshole to him and then we
- 51:50Speaker 4: you know, reconnected. But I was an asshole to him
- 51:54Speaker 4: and he understood that. That meant I cared about him, yes,
- 51:58Speaker 4: And I was like, oh you to go live in
- 52:01Speaker 4: fucking sty for claw can't do the accent. I was like,
- 52:07Speaker 4: good luck and he was like, Oh, she really likes
- 52:09Speaker 4: me and she's jealous.
- 52:11Speaker 2: That's how.
- 52:11Speaker 1: That's how damaged women show affection is by berating a
- 52:15Speaker 1: man when we're that's how you know we've been bruised.
- 52:18Speaker 4: But you know what also about damaged women, We can
- 52:21Speaker 4: fucking fix ourselves and then we can be whole again.
- 52:25Speaker 3: We don't know, we can hold it down.
- 52:27Speaker 1: Once we fix ourselves, we can hold it down. Yeah,
- 52:30Speaker 1: but it's nice that he held you down on the theater.
- 52:33Speaker 1: In the theater during the play, he held you down,
- 52:36Speaker 1: and then you held it down for yourself.
- 52:38Speaker 2: So there we go.
- 52:39Speaker 7: Now.
- 52:39Speaker 4: Yeah, and then like cut two a your litter, he
- 52:41Speaker 4: held me to and I got pregnant.
- 52:47Speaker 2: Okay.
- 52:48Speaker 1: On that note, we want you to go take your
- 52:49Speaker 1: lexapro go take it right now, get off this lock,
- 52:52Speaker 1: go take it.
- 52:53Speaker 4: This never happens. I fell asleep with my son last
- 52:55Speaker 4: night and I forgot to take my meds.
- 52:57Speaker 2: Your son is a great rapper. By the way, I
- 52:59Speaker 2: loved that video.
- 53:00Speaker 1: I love you, Amanda. Did you want to say something?
