- 0:02[SPEAKER_00]: Hi, I'm Connor Jones.
- 0:03[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Mike Atama-Sella.
- 0:04[SPEAKER_00]: And this is Culture Rea, a Denison 4 and podcast where we navigate the constant stream of top stories and news, politics, sports, pop culture, technology, and so much more.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_00]: And Mike, as always, we do it from a Christian perspective.
- 0:15[SPEAKER_00]: Mike, we'll welcome back to the studio.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_01]: Good to be back.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_01]: Love you all.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_01]: Love you, Connor.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: Should I say it back?
- 0:22[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_00]: You can say it later.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_00]: We got a loaded show today.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_00]: There's still tons going on in culture.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_00]: As always, so what, can you just give us like a little recap of what we're running through?
- 0:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so we're just going to give our World Cup Reflections, I mean the World Cup took over everything here in the US for about six weeks and we saw a lot of positives come from it.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of things that we were told would go wrong, actually went right.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: And so it really seems like a lot of really great things came out of it.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_01]: So we're just going to give our overall recap and thoughts on the situation.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_01]: I think Connor has a hot take for us today.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_01]: We're also going to talk about Trump's addressed to the nation last week about voting and fraud and stuff like that.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_01]: And also talk about things like the tape brothers getting arrested.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: The open championship this past weekend.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_01]: The Odyssey came out and so much more.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_01]: So let's jump into the brief.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_01]: The brief.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_00]: All right, to start off with the world cup, we need to just congratulate Spain.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_01]: They did it.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_01]: They won the whole thing.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_00]: job Spain, defeated Argentina in a game that was odd, you know, Spain dominated the entire time.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_00]: They had nominated, possession 65% of the time of the ball.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_00]: They had 20 shots on goal to Argentina's two shots on goal, which came like in extra time.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_01]: Like Argentina during the full 90 minutes of the match didn't get one single shot on goal.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_01]: It was unbelievable.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_00]: It was like watching a football game where we're one team scored
- 1:49[SPEAKER_00]: or like got down to the inzone every time and then the other team could only get up to third down ahead to come off the field like they just could never move on to the next days of the field.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: So it was an odd game but it was fun.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: It was great to see the celebration afterwards.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_00]: Congratulations to Spain and honestly this was probably always Spain's to lose.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_00]: They
- 2:09[SPEAKER_00]: Outscored all of their opponents do the entire world cup 14 to one.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_00]: They allowed one goal over eight games That is crazy unbelievable.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they're goalie got the I think they call it the Golden Glove Yeah, it's something like a word for being the best goalie of the tournament.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I would say so eight gold and mint maybe that sounds baseball-ish So I feel like golden glove is literally baseball like gold glove
- 2:32[SPEAKER_01]: That's literally baseball.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what to tell you.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's called the Golden Glove Award.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's called the Golden Mint.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_01]: You guys let us know or we can just Google it and we can probably Google it.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, okay.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_00]: The only blot on Spain's resume, getting up to the championship and winning this whole thing was the zero to zero draw against Cape Verde.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: The island nation that was like the Cinderella team of the tournament who somehow made it to the next round even though.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: Tiny little population just of one of those teams that the world got behind.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: And they literally held the World Cup Champions to a zero to zero score, which is just impressive, very.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: This was also the first World Cup final with a halftime show, felt very super bullish.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: Mike, I was curious your thoughts on what we saw at halftime.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_01]: I liked Justin Bieber.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_01]: He kind of brought the vibe.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_01]: Like it was kind of weird.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_01]: It was like upbeat music.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_01]: Because wasn't it like post-mallown or did post-mallown do the pre-man?
- 3:20[SPEAKER_00]: I think post-mallown did the pre-man.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_01]: Right, so it was like Madonna, and then Bieber does like an acoustic set Everything hallelujah, right and then I think right after Shakira So it did kind of feel like we were riding this roller coaster in wave of emotion, but I'm a believer man So I mean I really do like Justin Bieber's music for the most part So I mean I enjoyed that part.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: What about you?
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was a good show I mean I didn't know to expect I didn't even realize it was gonna be a half-time show It's America, you know what I mean?
- 3:48[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't need there and I was like of course
- 3:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, of course we are now Justin Bieber's Canadian, so maybe that was their little contribution there.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: So in Coldplay was there there's the UK popping in and they ended the show.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_01]: Who was that?
- 3:58[SPEAKER_01]: No, I didn't finish the halftime show.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it didn't keep my attention the whole time.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: I guess.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: Well, the weirdest part for me, I guess I get it was Ted Lasso showing up.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: He introduced Justin Bieber.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Ted Lasso coach Beard from obviously.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_01]: I think that kind of makes sense, right?
- 4:12[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they were
- 4:14[SPEAKER_01]: kind of the representation of soccer in America.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_01]: They're for a little bit for a couple of years with Ted Lasso, those Americans going over to England to help run teams.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_00]: One of these season comes out in like two weeks.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm like, well, there you go.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_00]: How much did Apple pay for for Ted Lasso to be in this afternoon?
- 4:26[SPEAKER_01]: A lot.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: Wanted to give some stats here.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: So we had 48 teams, 104 games across the U.S. Mexico and Canada.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: We've talked about that before.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_00]: Dude, the financial impact of this world cup was insane.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: And we don't know the full numbers.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_00]: We'll never probably know the exact full numbers.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_00]: But wanted to give some numbers here of what this did for America.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: First off, that record, that final match had a record medium price of $10,835 to get in the door.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_00]: Tickets were that expensive and it was a sold out stadium.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: Unbelievable.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_00]: Unbelievable.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_00]: Argentina and Spain filled the stadium so good for them.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_00]: Record revenues across the board.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: For FIFA, one, they hauled in $15 billion across this whole thing, one and a half months.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_00]: They pulled in $15 billion.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_00]: They had projected a $11 billion.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: So four billion more.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: So that tells you people were really into this world cup.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_00]: In the United States, the Bank of America CEO estimated that the world cup generated $20 billion in economic activity in the United States primarily with restaurants and bars, hotels, those are kind of the biggest winners, but you can imagine any shops.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: car ride services small businesses people just trying to make it right I mean this is huge for so many people which is great you know even airlines they brought in tons of money totally coming around the world in all rental companies all of that so lots of winners here losing stat here I would say is
- 5:39[SPEAKER_00]: the prediction markets, calcium, polymarket, we've talked about them, we don't like them, they are not good for a lot of reasons.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, essentially sports betting over there, brought in over $5 billion between the two of them in World Cup trades.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: So a lot of money put in on that.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: Somewhere, it's estimated around $50 to $60 billion as a whole on the World Cup worldwide.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_00]: On sports books or at Casino's wherever.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, man.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: So sports betting is still huge, especially for World Cup.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_00]: All right, Michael, you mentioned it earlier.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: Just what this cultural moment was for the United States.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to hit on that because it was really cool to see America come together.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we were able to get behind our own team for a few weeks.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: That was really exciting.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_00]: America tuned in millions upon Bill.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_00]: I mean record numbers.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: That was amazing.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: We're talking to the highest broadcast levels outside of American football of people tuning in because they got just so into this world cup They got so into the U.S. men's team and so seeing that was really cool.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: We all got together and got to watch something as one culture and get excited about it Get patriotic about it, but even other countries too people getting behind their teams And so we got to see those other cultures come in the tartan army from Scotland taking over Boston They're killed and just chance and they Constantly singing
- 6:55[SPEAKER_01]: Just going to baseball games at Finway just singing the whole time marching through the street the old colonial streets It's just awesome very good.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_00]: The Norwegian Viking row is one thing that I think will actually probably stick around people do that at football games This fall really cool stuff all the chanting all the all the singing that these people are doing the stadiums and in the streets from around the world It's so cool.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's cool
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: I also wanted to point out that, you know, I didn't want to tell him to broadcast except for one restaurant and went to with actually you and I were both there They were storm and the satellite went out and so they had to switch over to the peacock where they were telling moondo and we wanted to tell moondo the U.S. Means game against Belgium for the, you know, portion of it.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but I didn't like it because, you know, Belgium was scoring a lot, right?
- 7:37[SPEAKER_01]: So we kind of heard the goal, but it was for the wrong four Belgium and so it wasn't very funny.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: But to your point, the goal, yeah.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: I discovered what the longest goal was of the tournament.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: It was 52 seconds long from Andrea's Cantor when Curacao scored on Germany, which was a shocking goal.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: 52 seconds, man.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_00]: That's wild.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_01]: That is a long time.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_01]: That's that's great lung capacity.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think you're length on lung capacity would be to do that?
- 8:02[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I mean, I think I probably get to 51 seconds.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_01]: I think I'd be right there.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_00]: Other things we learned.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: Many of us loing the soccer stars around the world.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: I know a lot of Americans didn't know them.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: Anybody who watches Premier League over in England or not just in England anywhere in Europe.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_00]: Any of those leagues over there, these guys are super stars around most of the world.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: But for Americans, there's our introduction to people like Irling Holland from Norway, just a funny dude, super funny.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_00]: Just a minutes of a player, but then off the field, like he's just a funny guy posting on social media very happy guy Bosnia the goalie from Cape Verde, who held Spain to zero to zero Went from less than one million followers three weeks ago four weeks ago to over 28 million today Leave so life changing for hand believable
- 8:44[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane over there on England, Killian and Bapay, that's the name I knew.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think a lot of people knew him.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, no one is kind of like the best player in the world now, aside from Messi.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: But to see him, just the superstar that he is was really cool.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of us got to know who Florian Balagan is, our own guy.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: after the whole red card scandal with Trump stepping in and getting him reinstated for game where he didn't even end up making that big of an impact but he handled that whole situation very gracefully and so it was really cool to see him do that in America kind of rally behind balligan he's now a star no doubt household name in this nation yep he's a great striker how about
- 9:20[SPEAKER_01]: Zlatan Ibrahimovich.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, just now a media superstar.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we all know who Zlatan was though.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_01]: He's, he's an icon even before this.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: I think a lot of people do.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: I would imagine many Americans don't.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: But if you've watched that last so there's a parody of him, a character in there that's supposed to be kind of a parody of him.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: He talks in third person.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_00]: He's got singers.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_00]: He's very, very kind of brutal in his nails.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_01]: He's awesome.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_01]: Did you see him sign off?
- 9:42[SPEAKER_01]: And he was like, this is my first time and last time on the desk.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_01]: See you all.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_01]: Like he literally quit.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_01]: just at the end is like I'm never doing this again.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_01]: I hope you enjoyed it.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, which you know, you could say that's just putting leverage out there for the next world cup saying I'll do it again, but you got to pay me some more.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: But I mean, it's a smart guy.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: So who knows?
- 10:01[SPEAKER_00]: And then of course, you got to give respect to Lionel Messi, Messi.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: and go you know the absolute goat this was most likely his last world cup i mean 39 you never know right he could pull a tom Brady here and come back with a late return he could play i mean they're not going to tell him no he could play a good tell him no they don't want to learn all though no right before to go that's going to really go great but man just the opportunity we had to watch probably the greatest player of all time maybe either there's a debate there
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: just dominate this world cup.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_00]: It was really cool.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_00]: And just a great time to see his abilities on full display.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, as a reminder, you mentioned in my code, leading up to this world cup, everybody's like, this is going to be a disaster.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_00]: Take your turn, selling hotels are not booking Europeans.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: South Americans, Asians, Africans are all scared to come to America because of immigration policies and they're not going to come here and they think that we are a terrible country, it was anything but that, right?
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: Literally, that's not what happened in reality.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: It turned out to be like the most massive unifying moments for our nation and for the world that we've seen in a while.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the Olympics kind of do this every four years or two years as well.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: But this was just different.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_01]: It was on another scale.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, hosting any of those things here really make a big difference, right?
- 11:10[SPEAKER_01]: Like it's one thing to rally around your team when they're competing in the winner Olympics and Italy like this last go around, right?
- 11:16[SPEAKER_01]: It's another thing to root for your team on American soil.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_00]: Which is cool, because the next Olympics are in LA.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, this is a great time to be alive.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and Americans, I think we just all realized America's just not as bad as we've been told.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_00]: Whilst we're journal put it perfectly, the best advertisement for America was simply
- 11:32[SPEAKER_00]: America itself and so you know the world came together around the globe we saw billions billions literally with a beat of people watching the same Games at the same time This was like streets and public squares Filling with millions upon millions of people sometimes Mexico City we saw in Argentina Buenos Aires They literally a million plus people kind of in there like times square types of bots in those countries Filling and crying and singing and chanting, you know, it's really cool
- 11:59[SPEAKER_00]: Ultimately, this, I would just say this won't come up as like a massive refresher for at least from my perspective.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_00]: I feel refreshed about the state of our nation, the state of our world like, hey, yeah, there's, there's bad things going on, but ultimately, we're all more like than totally would think.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, every country has their issues, every country has injustices, you can love your country and also still fight for inequalities and things and issues that you see.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_01]: You can still be patriotic and still want to fix things and change things.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but like you bring up a good point about how we have a lot more in common than than we do have differently because or that, you know, we're different from each other because again, everybody has their own issues and problems, but then you kind of put
- 12:43[SPEAKER_01]: Americans got it, you know, a lot of really great nice stadiums.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_01]: It's not so hard to get around.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, things are spread around a little bit more people in America are generally nice people, unless maybe I don't know.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_01]: You got a New York or something like that, you know.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's something like feedback that I got on there.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe people weren't super nice there, but otherwise...
- 12:59[SPEAKER_01]: It's a great place.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_00]: You're just given the full experience of New York at that point.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, man, you got to.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we all have national pride.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: We all have a desire for community.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: We all love music.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_00]: We all love sports.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_00]: It's just really unique to see all of that come together this summer at the last month and a half and reflect on that.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and now I wonder if this could even turn into a soccer phenomenon beyond the World Cup here in America.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_00]: I hope it does.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_00]: I bet people get more behind it.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_00]: They've learned the sport.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_00]: We all know what VAR is now.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_00]: We all know.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_00]: Well, offside.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_01]: We all know we don't like VAR.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_01]: Learn that.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_00]: Refts control the entire clock on their own with extra time.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_00]: We've learned the rules.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_00]: I think the setup is there for like the MLS.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_00]: Here in America to take the next step.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_00]: Totally.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see what happens, and maybe in the future, the US team will actually have the best possible talent and win this whole thing.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_01]: I was watching, who was it?
- 13:44[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it was like teary on re or slot time, but it was somebody some international soccer legend was like when America chooses to invest in something and be good at something, they are.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_01]: So the second we decide we want to beat the world in this, then we will do it.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_01]: look at what just happened when the men and women beat the entire world in hockey when it's maybe our fourth or fifth most popular sport.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_01]: We decided we were going to invest in it.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: We were going to create a pipeline and then we want it all.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_00]: We want to build in both.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_00]: And to be clear, the women's soccer team has won the Women's World Cup of World.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: We have a great women's team.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_00]: Our movement team has always been like, yeah, step behind them.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_00]: Several steps behind them.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: For whatever reason, the women's pipeline has always worked well for the first
- 14:30[SPEAKER_00]: What else do you think about this whole thing?
- 14:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so one thing really stood out to me as I watched this tournament unfold, I kind of want to take this a different direction, Connor Jones.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_01]: For months leading up to the World Cup, right?
- 14:39[SPEAKER_01]: So many people predicted it was going to be a great disappointment.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_01]: I know that we mentioned that for a minute there, but I really want to drill in on this.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_01]: We heard concerns about logistics and security and safety and transportation.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_01]: Whether Americans would even show up, we were hearing, oh, none of the tickets were selling.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's too expensive.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_01]: Whether soccer would actually capture the country's attention because it normally doesn't.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_01]: on of skepticism to the point where I was like, is this thing going to fall flat on its face?
- 15:04[SPEAKER_01]: And then immediately, I was like, oh, no, no, it's not.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_01]: Of course it's not.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_01]: It was a spectacle, even grander in some ways than what we've experienced with the Super Bowl.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_01]: Because you have not just two teams facing off with each other that are here in this country like you've seen the Super Bowl, you see,
- 15:23[SPEAKER_01]: thousands.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_01]: In some cases millions of people traveling in from one single nation to cheer their team on and their culture collides with ours.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_01]: But I mean, collide would be the wrong word.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_01]: It was really more like cultural appreciation, right?
- 15:37[SPEAKER_01]: We were like appreciating different cultures, but even seeing
- 15:41[SPEAKER_01]: how much this means like watching that Argentina crowd as they lose to Spain and they're all just like balling their eyes out it reminds me of how Connor and I feel every year when the Dallas Cowboys in their season and disappointing fashion like we hold that type of passion for the Dallas Cowboys that you kind of see in terms of these these fans cheering for their country because soccer is their main thing it's all they've got in that moment right but there was just a lot of skepticism then
- 16:09[SPEAKER_01]: Instead, for six weeks, millions of people simply enjoyed something together, right?
- 16:15[SPEAKER_01]: Families gathered around TVs, restaurants and bars were packed again, fans from every corner of the world were celebrating side-by-side getting along generally, of course, there's outliers, but overall it went very well, complete strangers were hugging each other after goals.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_01]: Millions of people shared genuine joy together, just like a love of the game and just joy of the nations coming together.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_01]: the people even around here in DFW that I was meeting.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_01]: I was meeting people from Sweden and I was meeting people from Japan and they're just around discovering DFW, right?
- 16:45[SPEAKER_01]: It was it was a really cool experience.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_01]: Connor, did you meet anybody from international?
- 16:49[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I occasionally think whether oddly enough I was hoping to.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_00]: Now where I live is kind of in the northern suburbs of DFW.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_00]: So I wasn't near this same here.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I wasn't running into them walking around my neighborhood, but when I was out and about DFW.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_00]: I never did, but I was hoping to because I think you don't get out
- 17:05[SPEAKER_00]: do, but again, I live not anywhere near where the central things get it, yeah, yeah.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: So, I mean, I was just really struck by however everybody got along and how there was this genuine joy everybody was experiencing together and that really struck me the most.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_01]: But for a few weeks, billions of people experience something our culture doesn't often experience any more shared joy.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_01]: So as I thought about this week, I kept coming back to one question, why did this resonate so powerfully with so many people?
- 17:35[SPEAKER_01]: Like, this worked for everybody.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_01]: This worked on everybody, right?
- 17:41[SPEAKER_01]: All the sudden, all these Americans are gigantic soccer fans, football fans.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_01]: Even my wife sat down and watched some games.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_01]: Now, and to be honest, I think she was happy.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_01]: when it was over, but I lovingly reminded her, I think we're seven weeks away from college football.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_01]: So we can't rest on our laurels, but I cannot wait for actual American football to start.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_01]: So anyway, I think it's because people are hungry for something good to celebrate.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_01]: I think oftentimes we rally around as people, what we dislike, what we want to change, what we don't like, people rally around.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_01]: They're just like for America.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_01]: People rally around, they're just like for,
- 18:15[SPEAKER_01]: the political party on the other side or an issue that they're having, we're actually rallying around something good and joyful.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_01]: And that was unique.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_01]: But if we're honest, most of our days are filled with headlines about conflict and headlines about division and headlines about disaster and everything that's going wrong in the world, that's what's on the headlines, right?
- 18:35[SPEAKER_01]: And so if we're not careful, cynicism and negativity just becomes the norm.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_01]: We start to unite, we start to just live in this current of negativity, of cynicism.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_01]: If we're not careful, that's what we become.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_01]: Then something like the World Cup comes along in for a brief moment.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_01]: People put a lot of things aside and just celebrate something together.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't think that's insignificant.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's a reminder that God actually created us for joy, for community, for
- 19:03[SPEAKER_01]: for celebration.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_01]: Scripture has a lot to say about that.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just going to give you one verse here.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_01]: Paul writes in Philippians four verse four.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_01]: Rejoice in the Lord always, again, I will say, rejoice.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_01]: That doesn't mean Christians pretend life is not full of suffering.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_01]: It is.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_01]: There is suffering in life.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_01]: There is struggle in life.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_01]: We don't pretend that.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_01]: We shouldn't pretend that.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_01]: But it does mean that we should be the least cynical people on earth.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_01]: I think Christians have every reason because of our foundation that we should be the least negative and cynical people on earth and at least here in America I cannot say that I cannot say that we're doing a great job at that right now to a certain extent I think there is a lot of cynicism and negativity in the church But I would encourage all of us that we actually have every reason to be the least cynical people because we know how it turns out Yeah, I'm the end.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think about that comment right there with you?
- 19:54[SPEAKER_00]: I mean God gives us the joy that we have
- 19:57[SPEAKER_00]: to go out and share the basically the the joy I mean I don't know a better way to put it like he gives his joy so we can share joy right and not be so cynical and yeah obviously this was a great example last month and a half of joy abounding obviously for sports and it's a different sense here but I'm right there with you man I think we've been blessed with the Holy Spirit in our hearts that can help us renew our minds and remind us that he is good and that is what we stand on that's what we stand in and that's what brings us our peace and our joy and our
- 20:27[SPEAKER_00]: our ability to go on and love our families, love our friends, love our communities.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it honestly cornered.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_01]: It's one of the reasons we do this podcast.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, week is because we don't want the headlines shaping our perspective more than scripture does, more than what truth has to say.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_01]: We want scripture to shape how we interpret the headlines, not the other way around.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_01]: So when the world experiences one of these rare moments of shared joy, I think it's okay to lean into it.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_01]: Celebrate it and invite your friends over to watch a game talk about it with your family bring it up Thank God for good gifts like sports that can bring people together It's not a final solution, but just because it's not a final solution, and it's finite.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't even we can't enjoy it, right?
- 21:07[SPEAKER_01]: So don't don't confuse Celebration though with the source of our hope the world cup is over the excitement's already fading Another new cycle is already taking its place.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_01]: We're already talking about Iran again
- 21:18[SPEAKER_01]: I know we have always been talking about Iran.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_01]: It feels like for the last several months.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_01]: But now we're talking about it even more.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_01]: But the next headline doesn't have to determine your outlook.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_01]: Doesn't have to.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_01]: As far as our Christ, we have the privilege at looking at every headline, whether it's tragic or triumphant and almost always it's tragic, through the lens of Scripture, from the foundation of hope that we have been given.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_01]: That's where our hope comes from.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_01]: That's where our joy comes from.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_01]: So let's enjoy moments.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_01]: like the World Cup.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_01]: Let's celebrate them.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_01]: Let's thank God for them.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_01]: But don't let the headlines shape your perspective.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_01]: Let's scripture show you how to interpret those headlines.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly what we do here at Dinnison Forum.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's right.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_00]: That's the whole point of this ministry.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_00]: So many of you read Ryan's the focus articles on Tuesdays.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_00]: Many of you listen to the faith and clarity podcast listen to this podcast.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_00]: That is what we're doing.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_00]: We are taking scripture and applying it to all these headlines and news stories.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_00]: And
- 22:10[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we're trying to grow and bring more people on board to help us do that.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_00]: So you guys can read even more.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_00]: You know, whatever the story is that day, the week, we're trying to tackle that.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, grateful to be doing that, grateful for God, who gave us scriptures to essentially apply to our lives.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_00]: And all the way down to, yeah, the news and politics and sports and pop culture and everything.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_00]: It's great.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks, Micah, for that reminder.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_00]: Hope y'all enjoyed that kind of like just look back at the last month and a half.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this has been such a massive cultural moment.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think Americans will forget this for a long time.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_00]: It was a,
- 22:38[SPEAKER_00]: huge boost.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be in the history books, man.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_00]: Or the history cloud, whatever kids are going to learn from in the history iPad, I guess.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, okay, let's jump into a hot take real fast.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Mike, did you mention it?
- 22:52[SPEAKER_00]: Clayton gave us a hot take last week and it inspired me to come back with a hot take.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_00]: We haven't done these in a while.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_00]: There was some heat for Clayton's.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_01]: I was seen on social media.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_01]: There was some European heat that he was getting from his hot take.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_01]: If you haven't listened to Clayton basically said that, it may or no.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_00]: Did you see those comments?
- 23:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I read the comments.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_00]: Clay basically said that America will never adopt soccer fully because we get up from our bootstraps.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_00]: We get dirty and we get right back up and like, um, soccer's too weak of a sport for Americans.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, there are a lot of things.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_01]: Well, because of how they flop, I definitely disagree with this hot take.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_01]: I would just say, like, basketball is America's version of that.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yep, and basketball is declining.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_01]: Which popular?
- 23:30[SPEAKER_00]: If you listen to the full episode, which that part was not in the clip, but if you listen to the full episode, we did say that.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_01]: We said you try to get clicks, Connor.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I honestly, that was not even me.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_00]: I don't.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I didn't pull that clip.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_00]: But that's just how that's the nature of it.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_00]: You only get 60 seconds on a clip, so you don't get that full contact.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_00]: It was fun.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_00]: It was fun.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but it got people around up.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm going to bring another hard day because it seems to get people talking.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, all right.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_00]: This one's not nearly that hot.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_00]: But I just want to say, like, what's a warm take?
- 23:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's a warm mistake.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_00]: I despise commercials like on if I'm watching sports or anything on live television I despise them so much.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_00]: I mute them and people think I'm crazy Maybe you mute the commercials too, but Mike I want to hear what you think because I even remember even in like in college We'd be sitting in like our house with a bunch of guys and I would be watching a football game And I had their mode.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_00]: I'd mute it everybody What are you doing?
- 24:17[SPEAKER_00]: Why is it so quiet?
- 24:18[SPEAKER_00]: Why do you mute the commercials?
- 24:19[SPEAKER_00]: We like watching the same five commercials every every third every 15 minutes
- 24:24[SPEAKER_01]: Not that they're not annoying or anything.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it's that crazy of a take.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_01]: I think what makes you crazy about it is like, okay, if you're hosting, that's one thing.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_01]: If it's your TV, but I can think of several times where you're at someone else's home, like you're in a different environment and you are trying to find the remote in order to mute the commercials, right?
- 24:44[SPEAKER_01]: I think that that's what makes it a little crazy is like, you're not the one hosting, you will try to take over the remote privileges in order to mute the commercial.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_00]: if we're like in a group setting I do that because it's like guys we're trying to have conversation here and we get this loud I don't need this loud you got this Taco Bell commercial blasting behind or some sort of like dramatic over-the-counter drug commercial yeah yeah yeah the last thing I need is all the side effects being listed off of trying to talk to my friends about our lives you know what I'm saying that's why I mute them I think they're so weird and so annoying
- 25:15[SPEAKER_00]: And they get louder too.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's like the kicks to commercials and the volume goes Do you you don't mute during this superbolt to you?
- 25:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's different.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_00]: It was like the one time because I'm like, yeah, I'll watch these but for the most part Man, we're we're muted those bad boys.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_01]: Has your wife gotten unbored with this too?
- 25:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, well, I she adopted I mean when she started like hanging out with me And I was muted commercials.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_00]: She was like, I kind of like this is peaceful It's like your wife.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_01]: This guy's leading his family.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know what I'm saying?
- 25:38[SPEAKER_01]: This guy's leading his family
- 25:40[SPEAKER_00]: We're I love it.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_00]: We're commercial meeting a family, but yeah, I haven't I don't have any time I go to anyone else's house even my own family's house or whatnot.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's like we just don't do that So that's my warmest take all right.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_00]: Let's open a check in real fast
- 25:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we discussed last week that when Clayton I talked, hey Trump's going to address the nation on Thursday night.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_00]: We didn't know what it was going to be about fully.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_00]: We now know obviously he gave you the address.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_00]: I want to break it down from Dr. Ryan Dinson.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_00]: He wrote about it the next day and the day that article on Friday morning.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_00]: I kind of explained what Trump said essentially.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_00]: He declassified documents pertaining to alleged voter fraud, vulnerabilities in our ballot counting systems, and the, quote, acquisition and exploitation of American voter data, and quote, by China.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_00]: The latter was the closest to new information, though much of it had been leaked before in years prior.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_00]: And even with China, which he revealed had gained access to 220 million voter files over the last six years, President Trump was clear that they stopped at just acquiring information rather than materially impacting actual votes.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_00]: So essentially it was kind of an election fraud speech.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_00]: He talked a little bit about the economy a little bit about Iran and saying, hey, our country's doing great.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_00]: It was clearly a mid-term speech.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_00]: It was clearly a pitch for trying to get the save act passed by Congress, which is not seeming willing to pass that.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_00]: essentially the idea of this election integrity bill and so I don't think that speech really resonated the way that the White House was hoping it would.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think that the public would really get behind it but it kind of...
- 27:11[SPEAKER_00]: fade it out of the picture really fast.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_00]: It didn't stick around.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_00]: So my guy, did you have any thoughts there?
- 27:17[SPEAKER_01]: I just think people are thinking about inflation's ticking back up again.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_01]: When's this war in the Middle East gonna end?
- 27:23[SPEAKER_01]: There's still social issues swirling around.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think those are the things that people are really thinking about right now.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_01]: So like voter fraud is a real issue.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't need to be taken care of, but it's just not probably in the top five for people.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure it's in the top 10 for most people.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_01]: I would argue it always should be because election integrity is so important to our democracy in the way that it functions however I totally understand what you're saying in terms of this is just not a top issue for people right now So although it's important it just feels like the wrong time
- 27:53[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think people are going to the mid-terms voting on election integrity.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're wanting, yeah, you're right, election integrity does matter.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's huge.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_00]: We need to have it.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_00]: And the comfort of going to the ballot and saying, this is going to cast my vote correctly.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's correct.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_00]: And the right people are voting.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_00]: All of that.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's gotten to a point where I think people are ready to move on.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_00]: with all these other things like you're saying I speak of our ran let's just talk about that real fast we lost four soldiers over the weekend over in the Middle East couple in Jordan couple in Iraq four for certain there's three for certain three and they're searching for four one of the things that it's most likely they're looking for the remains okay so three confirmed as a recording on Tuesday to twenty first of the life yeah
- 28:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's most likely going to go up to four, which will bring the total death toll to 18, and this conflict for the United States military, which is just really unfortunate and so sad.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, one of the soldiers who's from right around the corner, from where we are out, and now she's in Carrollton, Texas, and 19 years old, 19 years old, just tragic, and that sense of we're so grateful for their service and the sacrifices that they made and everybody oversees who's making sacrifices and is serving this nation and serving at the will of the president.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_00]: That is what they search our sworn to do.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_00]: So they are over there doing that.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, we continue to pray for a peaceful resolution here.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_00]: But the Iranians apparently, you know, reports, I've read several news reports this week that they took time during the ceasefire to kind of remove missiles, move different weapons around, get re-situated, and even adapt their missiles, potentially with the help of either Russia or China.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_00]: Their missiles are now like, for sure, changing direction in the last, you know, mile.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_00]: towards the ground, like they're being able to, like, avert interceptor missiles that the US has.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_00]: So these missiles are kind of breaking through our interceptors now.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's intense, and it's very real.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_00]: So we need to just be praying for that conflict.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely, praying for a peaceful resolution there.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_01]: I think we're all just wondering, like, what's next with this conflict?
- 29:48[SPEAKER_01]: Hi, yeah.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's definitely been complicated and difficult, so all right.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_01]: So two of the things, big things that happened over this past weekend, the Tape Brothers Andrew and Tristan Tape were both arrested by U.S.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_01]: Marshals in Miami on Saturday under charges from the UK for rape and sex trafficking.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_01]: The brothers Denai wrongdoing and her fighting extradition,
- 30:09[SPEAKER_01]: to the UK so they're arrested but they're still in the US.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_01]: The brothers are dual US British citizens known for their social media, empire promoting wealth, mail dominance, and sogeoning.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_01]: These are two of the worst influences on young men in America today.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_01]: Connor wrote that, but I think that you're probably right.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_00]: I am.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, these guys are just.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't consume the content right over here, you know, but so it's like they have such a big impact, especially with young males who believe that these guys are the role models that they should follow in They're definitely not going to role models.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_00]: And clearly, I mean, if they're guilty of these things, they'll go to prison for a very long time.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_00]: And if they are, they should, right?
- 30:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, exactly.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_00]: But I would just say, you know, a lot of people are like, I can't believe they got arrested all that well, I mean, their lifestyle is not what you should look forward to.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_00]: They are promoting
- 30:53[SPEAKER_00]: an empire, like you said, of wealth, of misogyny, of just being a dominant male and physical sense.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_00]: Like, there are aspects of what they say that people agree with.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_01]: There are even things that they say that aren't completely wrong, but they take it to a working hard and, you know, having male influences of like that that's not necessarily being masculine isn't necessarily a bad thing, but they just take it.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_01]: way, way, way far.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_01]: Here's another thing that happened.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_01]: The open championship happened this past week and really loved watching that, love watching golf.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's just kind of a peaceful thing to have on.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_01]: 39 year old New Zealand golfer Ryan Fox won the British Open.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_01]: I think he had been in.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was something like 29 major championship matches or something like that, right?
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: So there's four majors every year on the PGA tour.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's golfed in so many of them and has not won.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think he hadn't even had a top 10 finish or something like that.

- 31:51[SPEAKER_01]: He had been sitting on the sideline for about two, two and a half hours.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_01]: You know, and like a three-hole playoff is always fun to watch, but Ryan Fox was like, nah, I'm just going to go ahead and win this and shut the door and any chances for the competition.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_00]: So congratulations, Ryan Fox.

- 32:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_01]: God bless him.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_01]: He is.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
