- 4:01The Boston College Eagles men's basketball team has secured a spot in the 2024 National
- 4:06Invitation Tournament and is set to face off against Providence College tonight.
- 4:13This marks Boston College's first postseason tournament appearance since the 2017-18 season.
- 4:21Their journey to the National Invitational included a notable run in the ACC Tournament
- 4:26where they defeated Clemson and pushed Virginia to overtime.
- 4:31Providence College, their opponent, impressed with a victory over number 8 Creighton in
- 4:37their conference tournament despite a late-season stumble.
- 4:41Let's go Eagles!
- 4:49Now on to sports.
- 4:51The Pittsburgh Steelers acquiring Justin Fields has sparked speculation about his future with
- 4:56the team, especially regarding his $25.7 million fifth-year option.
- 5:03With Fields positioned as the backup quarterback behind newly signed Russell Wilson, the likelihood
- 5:09of the Steelers committing to such a substantial financial guarantee appears slim.
- 5:15ESPN's Adam Schefter suggests it would be surprising if Pittsburgh opts for the fifth-year
- 5:21extension before seeing Fields perform within their system.
- 5:26While the door remains open for Fields to secure a long-term deal based on his performance,
- 5:31the immediate focus is on his adaptation to the Steelers' playbook and potential future
- 5:37contributions.
- 5:40Last night in the NBA, the Celtics at home beat the Pistons 119-94.
- 5:47Jason Tatum did not play and has been nursing a sore ankle.
- 5:51Rest up big guy, we need you for the long haul.
- 5:56And tonight, the Bees are at home to taking on the Senators.
- 6:02In top news, the U.S. is taking significant strides toward developing a lunar economy
- 6:09with NASA's Artemis program aiming to return humans to the moon and foster a space where
- 6:15NASA isn't the only customer.
- 6:18DARPA, known for supporting emerging technologies, has joined the effort with its Luna 10 study
- 6:25aiming to understand how to create a thriving lunar economy by 2035.
- 6:31Working with major space and non-space firms, DARPA is exploring services like power and
- 6:37communications for the moon.
- 6:40Major, Michael Warbitt-Niak, the program manager, has identified six technological areas that
- 6:47could accelerate the lunar economy, ranging from centralized heating and cooling to silicon
- 6:53wafer manufacturing and a lunar GPS system.
- 6:58While DARPA's request for information does not guarantee funding, it marks a clear interest
- 7:03in lunar commercial activities and could lead to federal support for innovative solutions.
- 7:11In business news, Reddit is poised to enter Wall Street, but its IPO might not signal
- 7:18a broader market revival.
- 7:22Despite a previous $10 billion valuation, experts now suggest a more realistic $6.4
- 7:29billion.
- 7:31With revenue growth slowing and no profitability, Reddit stock could mimic the cyclical nature
- 7:37of peers like Snapchat and Pinterest.
- 7:41The IPO is generating interest, especially among Reddit users, and boasts notable investors
- 7:48like Conde Nast and Seymalemann.
- 7:51However, competition and concerns over ad revenue sustainability could temper long-term
- 7:57excitement, keeping eyes on potential future IPOs from larger unicorns.
- 8:04In crypto movement, Bitcoin is just under $64,000, Ethereum is at $3,300, and Solana
- 8:14is just booming at $183.
- 8:20Moving on to a more local vibe, in our community spotlight on health and wellness, we are working

- 9:01Just be sure to tell them Sunny Morning sent you by.
- 9:05And now back to the show.
- 9:09Let's talk science.
- 9:11A lunar sample return bag containing moon dust from Neil Armstrong's historic 1969
- 9:18moon landing, initially missing, sold for $1.8 million at auction by Nancy Lee Carlson,
- 9:25who had previously purchased it for under $1,000.
- 9:30This bag, inadvertently auctioned off by the U.S. Marshalls Service, was leaply purchased
- 9:35by Carlson for $995.
- 9:38NASA's attempt to reclaim the artifact was denied by a federal court, marking a rare
- 9:44instance where lunar material leaply entered private ownership.
- 9:50This case underscores the complex history and value of space artifacts, highlighting
- 9:55both the challenges of preserving national treasures and the intense interest in space
- 10:00memorabilia.
- 10:06And in entertainment news, a new mural by the world-famous street artist Banksy has
- 10:13appeared overnight in a North London neighborhood, sparking curiosity and excitement among locals
- 10:20and visitors alike.
- 10:23This latest work features bright green paint that mimics foliage behind a large tree,
- 10:28alongside a portrait of a young person holding a pressure sprayer.
- 10:33The appearance of the mural has transformed the area into a hub of activity, with people
- 10:38from various backgrounds coming together to speculate on the artwork's meaning and implications
- 10:44for the community.
- 10:46Amidst concerns about rising rents and discussions on environmental messages, the artwork has
- 10:52prompted a broader conversation about public art's role in urban spaces and its potential
- 10:58to inspire community dialogue and reflection.
- 11:02Well alrighty folks, it's time for the quote of the day.
- 11:06And today, our quote comes from Banksy himself.
- 11:09If you don't know who Banksy is, we'll post some of his art on our Instagram page.
- 11:15I've been lucky enough to stumble upon some of his work out in the wild.
- 11:21Or you can search for Exit Through the Gip Shop on YouTube.
- 11:25It's a great documentary about the anonymous artist.
- 11:29So now we'll end today's show with the words of a master street artist.
- 11:34You don't need planning permission to build castles in the sky.
- 11:40Have a beautiful day everyone.
