- 0:38I have a, like, a little theme, but if you guys are too tired and you wanna revert to quickie questions, can. Disclaimer first, Jessica does not have menopause. Yes. And is not in menopause, not even perimenopause. Do you feel better now?
- 0:53Jessica Shere Coggins: Yes, thank you. I don't. I'm just saying that.
- 0:57Samantha Shere Sharpe: Don't have it.
- 0:58Jessica Shere Coggins: No. I feel better that I don't Okay. Currently have it. Thank goodness.
- 1:03Melissa Shere Beek: Okay. So I was thinking to myself, you two do exist. It's like that Eminem commercial. They exist.
- 1:09Jessica Shere Coggins: It's like the brown one.
- 1:10Melissa Shere Beek: Feel like I haven't seen you. Wait. What? No. When they run into Santa and Santa runs into them and they all go, you do exist.
- 1:19Jessica Shere Coggins: Wait. I know. But isn't that the one that holds the candle? Yeah. But it
- 1:23Samantha Shere Sharpe: all has to do with Santa.
- 1:25Melissa Shere Beek: It's just like it it's I don't like
- 1:26Jessica Shere Coggins: know what color holds the handle. I don't know.
- 1:28Melissa Shere Beek: No. I don't know. And I know they're discontinuing the brown one and another one because of the food dye.
- 1:33Jessica Shere Coggins: Well, they changed it. They the blue is the hardest. They said they can't find a vegetable that's
- 1:37Melissa Shere Beek: And brown too.
- 1:38Jessica Shere Coggins: And I think brown or red is the other one. Totally off the subject. Yeah.
- 1:42Samantha Shere Sharpe: I listened to a podcast. Remember driving on our many drives
- 1:46Melissa Shere Beek: Uh-huh.
- 1:46Samantha Shere Sharpe: And it was all about how Mars, the candy bar company was established. Uh-huh.
- 1:52Jessica Shere Coggins: And how they got how the name M and M came about, and it was the it was such a cool podcast.
- 1:59Melissa Shere Beek: It is. It's a good one.
- 2:00Jessica Shere Coggins: You heard of
- 2:00Melissa Shere Beek: it? I've read about how it was.
- 2:03Samantha Shere Sharpe: Oh my god. And it's a family owned. Mars is not like open for it any is.
- 2:09Jessica Shere Coggins: Wow.
- 2:10Melissa Shere Beek: So anyways, back to you two existing because
- 2:13Jessica Shere Coggins: I went off on M and M's.
- 2:14Melissa Shere Beek: I haven't seen you guys, like, all summer. You've been traveling all over the world. And I mean, we had Sunday night dinner, but you guys were on one end of the table, and I was in the kids section, which was a much better to be.
- 2:26Jessica Shere Coggins: Yeah. I feel like you guys had fun over there.
- 2:27Melissa Shere Beek: We had fun on that end of the I saw. And so I wanted to talk if you wanna talk about your summer vacation, but being on the end with the kids table and where they're at now and their ages was kind of the theme I put together for end of summer, beginning of school, because today's the first day of school for your kids.
- 2:44Jessica Shere Coggins: Mhmm.
- 2:44Melissa Shere Beek: So are you up for that? Sure. I mean, if you want out at any time, you can we can resort to the quickie questions back. Okay. Are you good with that?
- 2:51Jessica Shere Coggins: We're good. I'm Okay.
- 2:53Melissa Shere Beek: So, Aidan moves.
- 2:56Jessica Shere Coggins: Oh my god.
- 2:57Melissa Shere Beek: New place, new job, like
- 3:01Jessica Shere Coggins: Yeah. He's working at Halloween Horror Nights for Universal. Isn't that cool? Good for him.
- 3:07Samantha Shere Sharpe: Should we
- 3:07Jessica Shere Coggins: all go up there?
- 3:08Samantha Shere Sharpe: Yes. I'm going up there.
- 3:09Jessica Shere Coggins: No. But I mean, like, Of course, the you are. Of Sure. That just gives her more reason And to then go
- 3:14Samantha Shere Sharpe: he goes to Halloween Horror Nights, he's working Hellraiser house. The Hellraiser house.
- 3:19Melissa Shere Beek: I'll wait as I go by I'm not going in I
- 3:21Samantha Shere Sharpe: think it's behind like, it's the house behind Men in Black. Like Men in Black Simpson back there.
- 3:28Jessica Shere Coggins: Okay. But, yeah. We're happy.
- 3:30Samantha Shere Sharpe: He has an apartment walking distance. Two bedrooms, that's
- 3:34Melissa Shere Beek: So you can We can visit.
- 3:37Jessica Shere Coggins: And have a place to stay.
- 3:38Melissa Shere Beek: Yeah. Well, you know, it's That's exciting though.
- 3:41Samantha Shere Sharpe: Yeah. It's temp you know, it's one of those, what do they call it, seasonal jobs. But, you know, hopefully he'll get something after.
- 3:49Melissa Shere Beek: Yeah. One thing leads to another, but that's really cool. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
- 3:52Yeah. Both of your elders well, you have SIS back at school.
- 3:57Jessica Shere Coggins: Not yet, but Well, I
- 3:58Melissa Shere Beek: know he'll be back at school when this airs. And then your the baby bees, they're seniors.
- 4:05Jessica Shere Coggins: Crazy. This creeps me out. What the hell?
- 4:08Samantha Shere Sharpe: I'm ready. Like, don't know. I'm excited.
- 4:10Melissa Shere Beek: How do you feel? Like, that's your last one. You're gonna be an empty nester soon, but you
- 4:14Jessica Shere Coggins: I'm not happy.
- 4:15Melissa Shere Beek: And your baby has started high school now. So tell me about all of the thoughts that are going on now.
- 4:22Jessica Shere Coggins: I'm sad and excited. Now she's gonna cry. No, I might. It might. It's a lot.
- 4:27It was a lot. It's a lot. It happened so quickly this morning, but it's a loss. It's a lot. I mean, it goes by quick and and it's crazy to me.
- 4:35I have two at finally the same school.
- 4:37Melissa Shere Beek: Yeah. Oh, that's true. I think
- 4:39Jessica Shere Coggins: it's I the first always had two at a school. I think it's gonna be so easy for you. Don't know. The only thing is your day
- 4:44Samantha Shere Sharpe: is gonna be short now. Like 02:20, you're
- 4:46Melissa Shere Beek: Yeah, I
- 4:47Jessica Shere Coggins: know. I know. Instead of like 03:50.
- 4:49Samantha Shere Sharpe: Yeah. I know. I know. 02:20.
- 4:51Jessica Shere Coggins: But they're out in the morning.
- 4:52Samantha Shere Sharpe: Right. You're out. But you're not No. A morning
- 4:56Jessica Shere Coggins: I know. So you're probably
- 4:57Melissa Shere Beek: gonna Exactly. Go back
- 4:59Jessica Shere Coggins: And then she'll wake up when they're walking in the door. No. No. I will never do that. Maybe you should maybe
- 5:04Samantha Shere Sharpe: he should be, like, on a team. Like like, to help the football team.
- 5:10Jessica Shere Coggins: Who? Meyer?
- 5:10Samantha Shere Sharpe: Yeah. And then he's
- 5:11Jessica Shere Coggins: I don't know. We'll see what he does.
- 5:13Melissa Shere Beek: What do you guys do during the day now that
- 5:15Samantha Shere Sharpe: like I don't know. It's a first day I'm here.
- 5:18Melissa Shere Beek: Do have plans for yourselves?
- 5:20Jessica Shere Coggins: I would like to find a job. Yeah? Doing something.
- 5:23Melissa Shere Beek: Like a part time? You need to for my head. Area?
- 5:28Jessica Shere Coggins: Oh, I don't know. I think I need to clean my
- 5:30Samantha Shere Sharpe: house first before I even like I don't know.
- 5:34Melissa Shere Beek: How's that new puppy?
- 5:36Samantha Shere Sharpe: Oh my god. The new puppy is so adorable. But
- 5:39Jessica Shere Coggins: the only good thing is
- 5:40Samantha Shere Sharpe: you can tell who's peed and who's pooped because the pees are really small and the poop is really small. So I know which dog peed in the house. Wait, both your dogs Oh, yeah.
- 5:48Jessica Shere Coggins: Shit and piss in your house? No.
- 5:50Melissa Shere Beek: Sometimes. I'm thinking there was maybe no training happening.
- 5:52Samantha Shere Sharpe: Oh, there was training. It just
- 5:55Jessica Shere Coggins: I mean gotta just continue with it.
- 5:56Samantha Shere Sharpe: I know. I know.
- 5:58Jessica Shere Coggins: Look at me talking.
- 6:00Samantha Shere Sharpe: But she's cute. She's really, really, really cute.
- 6:04Melissa Shere Beek: And how's Berkeley doing with her? Fine. Better. Yeah?
- 6:06Samantha Shere Sharpe: Okay. Except yeah. Except for they're starting to bite a lot. So Yeah.
- 6:10Jessica Shere Coggins: Like nip at each other? Like play
- 6:12Samantha Shere Sharpe: nipping? Stormy nips,
- 6:15Melissa Shere Beek: but I
- 6:15Samantha Shere Sharpe: I think
- 6:16Jessica Shere Coggins: know I can pronounce his name.
- 6:18Samantha Shere Sharpe: Berkeley bites. Like dragged her by the neck the other day.
- 6:22Jessica Shere Coggins: Oh, I'm not getting another day.
- 6:24Samantha Shere Sharpe: And Mason's like, no no no no no. Stop that.
- 6:27Jessica Shere Coggins: Probably playing.
- 6:29Samantha Shere Sharpe: Yeah. This this looked a little bit more than playing. I don't know.
- 6:34Jessica Shere Coggins: Okay. Well, good luck to that.
- 6:36Samantha Shere Sharpe: No animals. She's really cute.
- 6:37Jessica Shere Coggins: You enjoy that one. Okay.
- 6:39Melissa Shere Beek: Challenges with kids instead of animals. Are there new challenges now that that they're older? Or is it a little easier? Why?
- 6:49Jessica Shere Coggins: I think you have to start watching over other things than you did in the past when they were younger.
- 6:54Melissa Shere Beek: Like?
- 6:56Jessica Shere Coggins: I don't know. I mean, I think all the years kinda conform them, but I think high school really solidifies a lot more. Yeah. So I gotta wait and see.
- 7:05Melissa Shere Beek: Bigger kids, bigger problems? Not in your house?
- 7:08Jessica Shere Coggins: You're just different problems.
- 7:09Melissa Shere Beek: Yeah.
- 7:10Jessica Shere Coggins: You know? Yeah. It's just different. They're older, it's different. I
- 7:14Samantha Shere Sharpe: think middle school, they're so naive, and high school, they're
- 7:17Jessica Shere Coggins: so a little bit more mature.
- 7:18Melissa Shere Beek: Yeah. And also more But boys freedom in aren't as
- 7:21Jessica Shere Coggins: bitchy as the girls are. No. No. Boys aren't. No.
- 7:24But I think it's gonna be a big change from going from middle school to high school.
- 7:28Samantha Shere Sharpe: Did every did all of his friends go over to the high school? A a lot. A good portion. Where did the other ones go?
- 7:36Jessica Shere Coggins: Maybe somewhere at Westminster, somewhere at Berlin. I
- 7:39Melissa Shere Beek: don't know
- 7:40Jessica Shere Coggins: how many went to Gulliver and ran some. Maybe like just a handful. Interesting. A lot of them are coming came over.
- 7:46Melissa Shere Beek: Were they excited this morning when they all left the house?
- 7:49Samantha Shere Sharpe: Oh my god. Mine was up at 05:30.
- 7:50Jessica Shere Coggins: Mine was up early too, but Meyer, it just was like, just get up and wet. Yeah. He'd probably need the the
- 7:57Samantha Shere Sharpe: hair done and the crown on and the No.
- 8:00Jessica Shere Coggins: Was probably so tired. On
- 8:02Samantha Shere Sharpe: and yeah.
- 8:03Melissa Shere Beek: Is he cool as a freshman now because his sister is a senior? So like, you
- 8:07Jessica Shere Coggins: know, they're gonna lay
- 8:08Melissa Shere Beek: off of him a little bit.
- 8:10Samantha Shere Sharpe: I'm sure he really is happy that his sister is like
- 8:12Jessica Shere Coggins: I think it would help him a lot. That's why I didn't feel bad about him coming in the night before.
- 8:18Melissa Shere Beek: Right.
- 8:18Jessica Shere Coggins: Because I felt like she would kinda make it a little bit easier, show him where the classes are, because he had no idea where anything was. Any of his friends have seniors? Yes. Really. Uh-huh.
- 8:29Melissa Shere Beek: Oh, that's cool then. So there's like a select group of freshmen that are sort of like
- 8:33Jessica Shere Coggins: Yes.
- 8:34Melissa Shere Beek: I love that. Yeah. There posing cons now that your kids are older?
- 8:38Jessica Shere Coggins: I don't know yet. We'll find out.
- 8:40Melissa Shere Beek: Sam? Oh.
- 8:42Jessica Shere Coggins: Is this think your we last get one? Closer.
- 8:43Samantha Shere Sharpe: The thing is is that unfortunately, I didn't get to experience this all with Stella.
- 8:49Melissa Shere Beek: Yeah yeah yeah.
- 8:50Jessica Shere Coggins: I thought about This is like,
- 8:52Samantha Shere Sharpe: I'm living so vicariously through Brea. Like, it's I'm like, all the milestones are like
- 8:58Melissa Shere Beek: Yeah.
- 8:58Jessica Shere Coggins: Yeah, I was thinking about that. You didn't get to go through that last time. Now you get to.
- 9:02Samantha Shere Sharpe: Yeah. I mean, well, they didn't do paint the spot back when Stella was a senior. That started last year, so that's new. But the Earn Your Red, Stella didn't do going to school today with your red shirt on. I didn't don't think she did that.
- 9:18I can't remember.
- 9:19Melissa Shere Beek: I don't remember, I forgot completely.
- 9:22Samantha Shere Sharpe: I don't think she did that. I don't yeah, so all of this is
- 9:28Melissa Shere Beek: New. New. And exciting. Yeah. Is there a shift in your parenting styles now that they're independent and driving?
- 9:34I mean not Meyer but like now that your girls are driving and they've But driving two is there a shift in the way that you parent?
- 9:44Samantha Shere Sharpe: I think for me there's a shift in it's not as intense as junior year was of Oh, that's a hard Such the hard courses and starting the ACT. I mean, she's still taking the ACT. She's gonna take it till they tell her she can't take it anymore. She wants that perfect score.
- 10:00Melissa Shere Beek: That's our Brea.
- 10:02Samantha Shere Sharpe: So It is. I mean, she's in a major boot camp right now. She go yesterday, she was at ACT tutoring from from 02:30 to 07:30 and then ran right down to soccer practice till nine. I I don't know this girl. But I feel like a load, it's a lot less pressure for me as a parent.
- 10:23Melissa Shere Beek: Gonna say I pressure on you guys or pressure on the kids?
- 10:26Jessica Shere Coggins: I hope both. Right.
- 10:27Samantha Shere Sharpe: No pressure on her, which means no pressure on me. Right. Now it's just gonna come down to applying and making sure everything's done. But we both hired somebody to be on top of them.
- 10:37Melissa Shere Beek: Wow. We
- 10:38Samantha Shere Sharpe: can just be moms.
- 10:39Melissa Shere Beek: Wow. Right?
- 10:40Jessica Shere Coggins: What are you like? She's holding in the tears. No. I'm not. I'm totally fine.
- 10:45I'm quiet today. I don't know why.
- 10:46Melissa Shere Beek: You're still sleeping.
- 10:48Jessica Shere Coggins: I a little bit.
- 10:49Melissa Shere Beek: What surprised you the most as they aged? They they came like young adults.
- 10:53Jessica Shere Coggins: I think to me, what what really transpired for me was I know when they say you're young, they watch everything you do. But as they've gotten older, like, I can catch specific things that they've caught on to that they do. It's it's amazing.
- 11:13Melissa Shere Beek: Like mimicking you.
- 11:14Jessica Shere Coggins: Yeah. Like, you'll hear something from them, and you're like, oh my god. I said that, like, four years ago. Like and they'll
- 11:19Melissa Shere Beek: You planted the seeds.
- 11:21Jessica Shere Coggins: And they actually really do. Like, they'll say, it's great. It's great. It's like, wow. You know, you had some sort of effect to who they are, whether good or bad or whether indifferent.
- 11:31I notice that a lot.
- 11:32Melissa Shere Beek: I love that.
- 11:33Jessica Shere Coggins: As they get older.
- 11:34Melissa Shere Beek: And Sam?
- 11:35Samantha Shere Sharpe: I forgot what the question was.
- 11:37Melissa Shere Beek: Can you repeat the What surprised you the most about, like, them becoming adults?
- 11:43Jessica Shere Coggins: I think we're both really tired.
- 11:44Melissa Shere Beek: I think you're both still asleep.
- 11:50Jessica Shere Coggins: Not that it surprised me.
- 11:53Samantha Shere Sharpe: I think I would say more that I'm happy. Like, for Brea, she's had this wave of friends. And her I I mean, I can say that her friends are the friends that she's, I guess, had a long, long time ago. And I'm gonna cry, No, don't
- 12:11Jessica Shere Coggins: cry. It's all good
- 12:13Samantha Shere Sharpe: it's she's back with her cousin, you know? And they are so polar opposite that But that's why it works.
- 12:22Melissa Shere Beek: Right. It's I think the balance. That's the beginning. So many
- 12:26Jessica Shere Coggins: years, I was so scared that they would be so competitive.
- 12:29Samantha Shere Sharpe: Because I knew Bria was competitive, but I didn't
- 12:32Melissa Shere Beek: I didn't with herself
- 12:33Jessica Shere Coggins: a lot.
- 12:34Samantha Shere Sharpe: She is competitive with herself. But I also she's tough. She's mean. She can really like but the two of them have really like I mean, a picture we got.
- 12:42Jessica Shere Coggins: This morning, she sent Bria sent to the whole group chat with just the two of them.
- 12:46Samantha Shere Sharpe: And it just like melted my heart.
- 12:49Melissa Shere Beek: Did you see the one I sent back?
- 12:50Jessica Shere Coggins: They have each other. It's really nice to be able to know that.
- 12:54Melissa Shere Beek: Right. That that's their foundation is the two of them. They can always be friends and there's an ebb and flow to it, but they balance each other and have each other as total support.
- 13:03Samantha Shere Sharpe: But I also see these friends, know, they're Beylyn's friends, that they've really They're everyone's friends. Yeah, but they've just nothing, no time has stopped in between. They just
- 13:17Jessica Shere Coggins: Yeah. It hasn't.
- 13:18Samantha Shere Sharpe: Like, it just was like yeah. I I don't know how to explain it. I just
- 13:24Jessica Shere Coggins: I hope she deserves to have a good year with her friends. She does. Yeah. She definitely does. I look at her and I'm like, You're gonna enjoy this year.
- 13:32Yeah. I think
- 13:33Melissa Shere Beek: they're both gonna gonna enjoy this better
- 13:35Jessica Shere Coggins: enjoy this year, Brea. You better
- 13:36Samantha Shere Sharpe: take advantage. I know.
- 13:38Melissa Shere Beek: I think when she gets her applications in, she will. Because that's just like, I think, in her mind, the last thing on her check off list.
- 13:44Jessica Shere Coggins: Well, not till she gets in somewhere. Right.
- 13:46Melissa Shere Beek: Yes, but that's out of her control. I'm talking about the things that she can have control over, like submitting stuff. Yeah. And so I feel like once she does the things that she has control over and she checks them off, then it's out in the universe. And then she
- 13:59Jessica Shere Coggins: It's a waiting game.
- 14:00Samantha Shere Sharpe: I've told her don't put the pressure on where you're ED ing that that's gonna be your school because you have to be realistic. You have so many great, great options that it's just because she has a chance to ED, that's okay and that's cool and you can go for that, but don't set your heart on that.
- 14:21Melissa Shere Beek: It's also not where you start, it's where you end up. So everything that might look look great on paper or great when you visit may not be great when you're living there. And so you can transfer and you can be like, Nothing is set
- 14:32Jessica Shere Coggins: in I
- 14:33Melissa Shere Beek: always tell my kids, It's all flexible.
- 14:35Samantha Shere Sharpe: Do you know that Michigan this year is not doing great for freshmen, first semester?
- 14:40Jessica Shere Coggins: Yeah, they're doing pass fail.
- 14:41Melissa Shere Beek: Really? Why?
- 14:42Jessica Shere Coggins: To take off the mental health pressure.
- 14:44Melissa Shere Beek: Oh. Okay.
- 14:46Jessica Shere Coggins: I like it. That's what
- 14:48Samantha Shere Sharpe: a lot
- 14:48Jessica Shere Coggins: of parents are saying. Why not? Yeah. Why not? Let them adjust school.
- 14:53Samantha Shere Sharpe: See what it
- 14:53Melissa Shere Beek: affects Well, at least for the schools are listening about mental
- 14:55Samantha Shere Sharpe: But health they don't have
- 14:56Jessica Shere Coggins: to remake that semester, do I
- 14:58Samantha Shere Sharpe: don't know.
- 14:59Melissa Shere Beek: No. Why would they
- 15:00Jessica Shere Coggins: remake because they need the credits. I guess you still get the
- 15:02Melissa Shere Beek: kids'
- 15:02Jessica Shere Coggins: You
- 15:02Melissa Shere Beek: still don't get credits if But you it's
- 15:04Samantha Shere Sharpe: not rolled into your GPA, which I don't know how it works for law school and stuff like that.
- 15:08Melissa Shere Beek: Well, law school will have to adjust.
- 15:10Jessica Shere Coggins: But at
- 15:10Melissa Shere Beek: least they're listening to the kids' mental health. Is there anything you don't worry about anymore? Mm-mm. More worries?
- 15:17Jessica Shere Coggins: Oh, yeah. Different worries. Different worries. Not so much about getting that five or that four in AP anymore. That's done.
- 15:26Getting those, I feel like junior years that AP got to take this one and that one and this one and that one. I feel
- 15:33Samantha Shere Sharpe: like this year it's just like
- 15:34Jessica Shere Coggins: okay I'm not going to take AP Calc BC, I'm just going to take AB. Know, feel like that pressure's
- 15:40Samantha Shere Sharpe: off but it's still the pressure of you know, college and
- 15:45Jessica Shere Coggins: still
- 15:45Samantha Shere Sharpe: taking the ACT and, you know, your homecoming date and what else?
- 15:50Melissa Shere Beek: Your homecoming date?
- 15:51Jessica Shere Coggins: Samantha, worry No, about it's September. Homecoming month. Oh my god. Yeah.
- 15:58Melissa Shere Beek: That's so funny. I wouldn't have even thought about any of that.
- 16:01Samantha Shere Sharpe: No. I don't think about it. You know who thinks about it.
- 16:03Jessica Shere Coggins: You don't think about it?
- 16:05Samantha Shere Sharpe: No. She does.
- 16:06Jessica Shere Coggins: Yeah. More so than you. But you definitely think about it.
- 16:09Samantha Shere Sharpe: Oh, she keeps sending me dresses. Oh, yeah.
- 16:11Jessica Shere Coggins: It's so cute.
- 16:12Samantha Shere Sharpe: She has her ACT that morning too, so
- 16:14Melissa Shere Beek: Oh, shit. Yeah. This girl's booked.
- 16:16Jessica Shere Coggins: Yeah. Powerhouse.
- 16:18Melissa Shere Beek: Yeah. Oh my god. Are there less rules now or more rules now?
- 16:21Jessica Shere Coggins: There were never rules in my house.
- 16:23Melissa Shere Beek: That sounds about right.
- 16:26Jessica Shere Coggins: There were
- 16:26Samantha Shere Sharpe: never rules in my house.
- 16:27Jessica Shere Coggins: I have rules.
- 16:28Melissa Shere Beek: All of this checks out. What are what are your, like, rules, rules? Like
- 16:32Jessica Shere Coggins: You can't well, we've done this. You can't lie. Yeah. No shit. Once you lie, everything's out there.
- 16:36Melissa Shere Beek: No. That's it. Yeah.
- 16:40Samantha Shere Sharpe: Honesty is the best policy.
- 16:41Jessica Shere Coggins: Yeah. Just I don't know if it's rules, but you kinda like wanna streamline them a little.
- 16:48Samantha Shere Sharpe: Well, now the rule is to make sure your brother has a
- 16:50Jessica Shere Coggins: right to school and has a right home from And that he should be at school. No, yeah, no pressure. Don't forget about your brother.
- 16:56Melissa Shere Beek: No pressure, but don't forget to bring How
- 16:58Jessica Shere Coggins: many times did Cindy forget that? That might happen. Oh my god, he did. Right, so I'm telling you. That's right.
- 17:04She knows what that feeling is, so she better not think.
- 17:07Melissa Shere Beek: I also think Myra will always check-in with Baylen and say like, you know, I've got this, I've got that.
- 17:12Jessica Shere Coggins: Okay. If she has a question, Baylen may not answer, and Baylen may She has rules. She's like, Friday, you gotta be up early, I'm going to Starbucks. Does she really?
- 17:21Melissa Shere Beek: Well, that'll benefit him. He'll want Starbucks too.
- 17:23Jessica Shere Coggins: I don't know, but I think Bria went this morning.
- 17:25Melissa Shere Beek: No. Well, I mean, it's the first day of seeing you I said
- 17:28Jessica Shere Coggins: you should all trade off every day. Yeah. Funny.
- 17:30Melissa Shere Beek: Uh-huh. Every day? Shit. That's getting expensive.
- 17:32Samantha Shere Sharpe: No. Not every day. It didn't come up on my app. It didn't come up on my app.
- 17:36Jessica Shere Coggins: Oh, no. Not maybe like once a month.
- 17:38Melissa Shere Beek: No. Well, once a week's okay.
- 17:39Jessica Shere Coggins: No. Not really. No? Oh, okay.
- 17:42Melissa Shere Beek: Okay. So for your big ones that are back at school and Yeah. Or independent lives, like how often do you guys stay in contact? Is there a rule on that? Or are you just
- 17:52Jessica Shere Coggins: I think a girl's different than a boy.
- 17:54Samantha Shere Sharpe: You do?
- 17:55Jessica Shere Coggins: Yeah. I think a girl tends to be in touch more. Uh-huh. I mean, Stella's not so I'll call her more than she'll call me, but she'll
- 18:03Samantha Shere Sharpe: call me too. Okay.
- 18:04Jessica Shere Coggins: You know I felt like Cindy and I sometimes spoke a little bit more.
- 18:08Melissa Shere Beek: When he's away?
- 18:09Jessica Shere Coggins: A little bit more. Maybe. A little bit more.
- 18:12Melissa Shere Beek: Right. Because he's reaching out or you're reaching have out to because you're not in same house learn
- 18:15Jessica Shere Coggins: to not oh, my my hearing just went. I You have to learn Is that Did you hear that too? No. Oh. I have to learn to, like, understand that he has life and he doesn't wanna always pick up the phone for his mother.
- 18:28Melissa Shere Beek: Yeah.
- 18:29Jessica Shere Coggins: Which I get. But I'll let it go for a little and then I'll call.
- 18:33Melissa Shere Beek: I just keep thinking of me calling you when you were in college and you'd be like, what? And there was no cell phones or anything like that, but so I got you at whatever it was a convenient time and also cost effective time to catch you, which was like after seven or whatever.
- 18:50Jessica Shere Coggins: You're like That's so weird. What? What? It's so Why? Because I was going out?
- 18:55You were coming in.
- 18:57Melissa Shere Beek: You probably Maybe coming in or maybe going out or sleeping or getting ready because you were leaving at, like, 11PM to go somewhere, and I was, like, maybe interrupting your pregame nap or something. You were going to bed. Well, I had children, and so it was different. Yeah. But I don't think you ever understood the timing of calls anyways because when I would be like, you know this.
- 19:18Jessica Shere Coggins: I think I just did it to you again recently.
- 19:20Melissa Shere Beek: Probably. But usually well, oh, yeah. On our honeymoon, She call on our honeymoon. The phone in the hotel rings. You know, this is like and she's like, hey.
- 19:31And meanwhile, I've had a heart attack. It's 3AM. The phone in the hotel is like, you know, whatever. And I'm in Italy, and she's like, hey. What are you doing?
- 19:40Same thing. I'm in Japan, two in the morning. What's up? I was so Yeah. I could see you calling at an inappropriate Yeah.
- 19:47Time for
- 19:49Jessica Shere Coggins: Yeah. Yeah. You're just like, no concept of No. I just when I feel like calling, I call.
- 19:53Melissa Shere Beek: Right. Okay. So you have rules or expectations for them because they're living on their own?
- 19:58Samantha Shere Sharpe: I mean, she needs to go to school,
- 20:02Jessica Shere Coggins: get good grades. I mean, can be sweetheart of the fraternity and she could
- 20:08Samantha Shere Sharpe: be at the sorority house all she wants, but you gotta go to class.
- 20:12Jessica Shere Coggins: I mean, she wants to go abroad. There's certain expectations. You need to get a certain GPA.
- 20:16Samantha Shere Sharpe: Like,
- 20:17Jessica Shere Coggins: just I you know, she's very different than than Bria.
- 20:21Samantha Shere Sharpe: I have to kind of stay on top of her and check.
- 20:24Jessica Shere Coggins: Yeah.
- 20:24Samantha Shere Sharpe: They're she's actually different. Pretty good. Like, she may look ditzy and blonde, but she's pretty good.
- 20:30Melissa Shere Beek: Wonder where she got all that from?
- 20:31Jessica Shere Coggins: I don't know. I don't
- 20:33Samantha Shere Sharpe: I may I I don't know.
- 20:36Melissa Shere Beek: The best thing about your kids being older?
- 20:39Samantha Shere Sharpe: Mo, my two get along so much better. They find they're like the same. They're like because the gap closed.
- 20:48Jessica Shere Coggins: And also for me, it's like you see them grow. Yeah. Like you see what you've done and what you've taught them and what they've chosen to do and like, you get like a broader picture of who they are as a person.
- 21:01Melissa Shere Beek: Yeah.
- 21:01Jessica Shere Coggins: Things like that.
- 21:02Melissa Shere Beek: That's cool. So what do you wanna do now that you couldn't do when they were younger?
- 21:10Samantha Shere Sharpe: What do I wanna do now that I couldn't do?
- 21:13Melissa Shere Beek: When the kids were younger. I think that doesn't apply to Sam because she did whatever the fuck she wanted whenever she fuck she wanted, whatever
- 21:18Jessica Shere Coggins: I'm ways they going.
- 21:20Melissa Shere Beek: What'd you say?
- 21:21Jessica Shere Coggins: I don't know.
- 21:22Samantha Shere Sharpe: She has
- 21:22Jessica Shere Coggins: a dirty mind because I just really Jessica.
- 21:25Melissa Shere Beek: Oh, I didn't pick
- 21:26Jessica Shere Coggins: She's that up. Such
- 21:26Samantha Shere Sharpe: a fucking dirty mind.
- 21:28Melissa Shere Beek: She gave you such That would a be for Mason, not for Sam. I did give you such a look and
- 21:32Jessica Shere Coggins: you honed in on it and you
- 21:33Samantha Shere Sharpe: got was lucky again. And one thing Oh, no.
- 21:37Jessica Shere Coggins: We are witchy. Like,
- 21:38Melissa Shere Beek: Yeah. We all are.
- 21:39Jessica Shere Coggins: I'm not witchy. Oh.
- 21:40Melissa Shere Beek: I am.
- 21:41Samantha Shere Sharpe: I am.
- 21:41Jessica Shere Coggins: Okay. I don't have any of that.
- 21:43Samantha Shere Sharpe: So you won't
- 21:43Jessica Shere Coggins: happened have the other day with Brie and I, and I, like, she did not see my face, and she was behind me. And I turned like this,
- 21:50Samantha Shere Sharpe: and she goes, mom, I can read your mind right now.
- 21:53Melissa Shere Beek: Why are being very loud? Probably.
- 21:55Samantha Shere Sharpe: Then Or you too. When we
- 21:56Jessica Shere Coggins: were in Utah, a weird story, Bria had to take the ACT that morning and her
- 22:00Samantha Shere Sharpe: friend was supposed to pick her up at 7AM. Oh, yeah. I woke up at what was the time difference? 05:30 in the morning?
- 22:07Jessica Shere Coggins: I had a feeling. I looked at my phone.
- 22:11Samantha Shere Sharpe: I saw that her phone was still in the charger. Was 07:30 Miami time.
- 22:15Jessica Shere Coggins: How do you know that though? How can you tell it's still in charger?
- 22:16Samantha Shere Sharpe: Because it, you can see on my Life three sixty has the charge button. So I knew it was still plugged in. Called her, she didn't answer. Called her, she didn't answer. Mason called her.
- 22:26Then I started to play the beeping noise. And Mason was getting ready to blast music in her room.
- 22:32Jessica Shere Coggins: And she picks up the phone. Could you?
- 22:34Samantha Shere Sharpe: Oh, no. It's the only way we can wake him up. And she's one who, like, sets her alarm, like, five times.
- 22:40Jessica Shere Coggins: She fell through her fell asleep through her alarm. Oh, The kid that was picking her
- 22:44Samantha Shere Sharpe: up had to leave because she had to be Oh, fuck. All the way out of school twenty minutes away. She hopped her ass in the car and got to ACT at 08:01. But I had this intuition Yeah. In
- 22:57Melissa Shere Beek: Like What opinion. You knew. Yeah. Yeah. I'm witchy like
- 23:00Samantha Shere Sharpe: freaking crazy. Like, who wakes up at 05:30?
- 23:04Melissa Shere Beek: No. You have a feeling. You have a vibe. I always I have it with the girls too.
- 23:08Jessica Shere Coggins: 05:30 in the morning. I knew. Yeah.
- 23:09Samantha Shere Sharpe: Yeah. I don't know how we
- 23:11Jessica Shere Coggins: got on that witchy book.
- 23:11Melissa Shere Beek: I have
- 23:12Samantha Shere Sharpe: that. Because you were sending me six, like, nasties nasties
- 23:17Jessica Shere Coggins: I wasn't.
- 23:17Melissa Shere Beek: I wasn't looking at you, so I didn't see the face. No.
- 23:20Jessica Shere Coggins: It was just like a little twinkle in her eye. I don't know. Okay. So we'll move to question. What do you wanna do more?
- 23:28Melissa Shere Beek: Can you repeat the question?
- 23:29Jessica Shere Coggins: For the same thing.
- 23:30Melissa Shere Beek: The running theme for the blondie. Just so, what do you wanna do that you couldn't when they were younger? What do
- 23:34Jessica Shere Coggins: you I wanna wanna like get back to work and do something. Uh-huh. I I like it. I enjoy it. It's something good for my head.
- 23:39Melissa Shere Beek: Right.
- 23:40Jessica Shere Coggins: I don't think of other things. It's just like a nice To little go to work? Getaway. To go to work. Little getaway.
- 23:48But they have to be home at 02:30. Yeah, I know. It's like like getaway from my mind. Right. That's my end.
- 23:54Melissa Shere Beek: Well, good to busy.
- 23:55Samantha Shere Sharpe: Day starts at 02:30.
- 23:57Melissa Shere Beek: Yeah, that's when your day really starts if you have little
- 24:00Samantha Shere Sharpe: kids. That's just early. And Jessica's used to four. No. What time do you get out of school?
- 24:05Because I have
- 24:05Jessica Shere Coggins: Baylon come out. Yeah, but Yeah. I don't know, we'll see. We'll see.
- 24:10Melissa Shere Beek: Oh my god. Alright. Biggest lesson
- 24:12Jessica Shere Coggins: hopefully though,
- 24:13Samantha Shere Sharpe: he'll go to bed. I don't wanna say what I I don't wanna answer that question because I don't want Mason to hold me to whatever I might say.
- 24:20Melissa Shere Beek: You can
- 24:20Jessica Shere Coggins: listen to his podcast before I
- 24:25Melissa Shere Beek: know because he calls me and tells me, you said my name.
- 24:28Jessica Shere Coggins: He has FOMO.
- 24:29Melissa Shere Beek: Well, okay. I'm gonna tell you. Gave him an option because he really wanted to come on and he was talking about it. And I gave him an option because I had an idea for something really good for him. He wants to come on the SISTERS, so he's coming on next month.
- 24:41God. Scared what he's
- 24:43Jessica Shere Coggins: gonna say.
- 24:44Melissa Shere Beek: No. I think he's very excited because I think it's going to for him, it's validation that people can actually see like, stories he tells are really true
- 24:55Jessica Shere Coggins: ones. Yeah. Because they don't believe
- 24:57Samantha Shere Sharpe: me. Because he sees it from a different perspective.
- 25:00Melissa Shere Beek: Well, that's so I have a whole bunch of questions
- 25:02Samantha Shere Sharpe: for him about
- 25:03Melissa Shere Beek: the perspective because he's I mean outside of This gonna
- 25:08Samantha Shere Sharpe: blow up because of him.
- 25:09Jessica Shere Coggins: Oh my god. Mason. I can't wait to hear what he says now. Oh my god.
- 25:13Melissa Shere Beek: Well, I've got a whole bunch. I've got a whole beat beat planned. I've a whole thing planned for him. We're ask the last question on this one. About us each?
- 25:21Samantha Shere Sharpe: Do I have to have divorce papers ready?
- 25:23Melissa Shere Beek: No. But I am having a divorce without more people coming in a month after that.
- 25:27Samantha Shere Sharpe: Wait. Should we do a sign? No. A sign with our paddles. Do another sign, like a new one.
- 25:33Melissa Shere Beek: Should we put it Oh, if he's playing
- 25:35Jessica Shere Coggins: bullshit or not? Yeah.
- 25:36Melissa Shere Beek: No. But he has to do it differently. No. If he's watching, he's gonna know what we're doing.
- 25:40Samantha Shere Sharpe: No Sam? Yeah.
- 25:41Jessica Shere Coggins: No Sam or Mason?
- 25:43Melissa Shere Beek: Yeah. Oh, we could vote on whose story is true or if you want. We'll have to come up with something off the podcast so he doesn't know what to expect.
- 25:50Jessica Shere Coggins: Yes. True.
- 25:50Melissa Shere Beek: Okay. Last last in this, and then we can go to quickie questions. But the biggest lesson that your children have taught you as they've gotten older.
- 25:57Samantha Shere Sharpe: Oh, Jesus. Patience, resilience, that they know what they're doing even though I think that they don't. I don't know if
- 26:10Melissa Shere Beek: that makes sense. It makes sense because in your head you have a vision of how
- 26:13Jessica Shere Coggins: But you thought that people
- 26:14Melissa Shere Beek: their world and their choices are different.
- 26:17Samantha Shere Sharpe: I I have three totally different kids. So it's like
- 26:21Melissa Shere Beek: Oh, yeah.
- 26:22Samantha Shere Sharpe: I mean, an ex such a stupid example. But yesterday, I had to go take my car in for service.
- 26:30Jessica Shere Coggins: Mhmm.
- 26:31Samantha Shere Sharpe: And the day before that, I had swapped cars with Bria because she needed gas in her car. So I get over to the collection, and I'm going in my purse to get my wallet. And all of a sudden, I have her car key.
- 26:45Melissa Shere Beek: Oh, fuck. I'm like, oh, shit. She has to be
- 26:47Samantha Shere Sharpe: at school. Like, it's 11:03. She had to be at school at eleven. I pick up the phone. I call her.
- 26:52And she's like, mom, where's my key? And I'm like, I have it. And she's like, what am I gonna do? And she actually was so calm. I called my mother-in-law.
- 27:02She called a friend. A friend, I called this one. She didn't answer. What's new?
- 27:06Melissa Shere Beek: Yeah. Was just gonna say, why did you even bother that one? She's not gonna pick up. Nobody called me.
- 27:10Samantha Shere Sharpe: Later on in the car, I met her
- 27:12Jessica Shere Coggins: at school. Met It's true.
- 27:14Melissa Shere Beek: Nobody fucking calls me.
- 27:16Samantha Shere Sharpe: You're always at dance.
- 27:17Melissa Shere Beek: You're always the at one
- 27:18Jessica Shere Coggins: Or doctor's appointment.
- 27:20Melissa Shere Beek: She called me the other Yeah, dancer But yeah, she called me for like plastic spoons. She's like, where are you? I was like, I'm pulling into dance. And she's like, ah.
- 27:28Samantha Shere Sharpe: So I long story short, I I go to the school because I finished painting and she's finished. She doesn't, you know, needs a ride home.
- 27:36Jessica Shere Coggins: And she gets in the car
- 27:37Samantha Shere Sharpe: and I'm like, can I say something to you without you getting upset? You know, like I have to like be very careful with my words for him. Like, you handled that key situation really well. I say this to Brea. Like, because she could have really, like, reamed me out.
- 27:52Sure. Pulled your
- 27:53Melissa Shere Beek: head off.
- 27:53Samantha Shere Sharpe: Yeah. Yeah. Mom, why did you do that? You should check your purse before you leave the house. I mean, like, it could have been a plethora of things of like, it's your fault.
- 28:00I'm late for school. And it's like, I have to be careful in my word choices with her, where Stella I'm like Stella would be like, okay, mom. Don't worry. I'll just figure it out. Like The
- 28:12Melissa Shere Beek: other blondie.
- 28:13Samantha Shere Sharpe: So I you know, I've learned how to be careful with my words with each kid.
- 28:18Melissa Shere Beek: To navigate them.
- 28:19Jessica Shere Coggins: To navigate Yeah. I get what you mean by that. Also the same time, I
- 28:24Samantha Shere Sharpe: don't They know what they're doing as much as I'm like, well you should say this to this
- 28:28Jessica Shere Coggins: friend and you should do this. Today, you're in
- 28:31Samantha Shere Sharpe: the car. Situation came up and I'm like, wow, Jess, you really handled your That's a smart I would've never done that.
- 28:38Jessica Shere Coggins: I would've picked up the phone, I would've been like, da da da da da da.
- 28:41Samantha Shere Sharpe: And I'm like, god, you really thought about that? She goes,
- 28:44Jessica Shere Coggins: yeah, I really thought. So So I've kind of like, I
- 28:46Samantha Shere Sharpe: guess in this situation too, like, I really have like
- 28:49Melissa Shere Beek: You're less reactive.
- 28:50Samantha Shere Sharpe: I I have to be because I feel like our whole lives have always been a knee jerk reaction because that's how we've always been. And I feel like our kids are have less of the need that I need to step back and have less.
- 29:03Melissa Shere Beek: Right.
- 29:04Samantha Shere Sharpe: Right? Yeah. Yeah. But I was impressed with you. Yeah.
- 29:07Jessica Shere Coggins: But you do other things that I'm impressed of. I know. It just I would have wished you'd be I would have picked up that phone and been like,
- 29:13Samantha Shere Sharpe: but you like really thought about it. Like now I'm now because of that, I'm going to handle the situation. Like
- 29:22Melissa Shere Beek: she handled the situation.
- 29:23Jessica Shere Coggins: That's great. Like Yeah.
- 29:25Samantha Shere Sharpe: I was like, god, I didn't think of that. Like, that's the thing, I guess.
- 29:29Melissa Shere Beek: You're learning.
- 29:31Jessica Shere Coggins: I have to overthink a little when was an overthinking. This comes into play and it's not great. No.
- 29:36Samantha Shere Sharpe: But you're smart. You you really mapped the bike. I had to.
- 29:40Jessica Shere Coggins: Yes. Well, I wouldn't have.
- 29:42Samantha Shere Sharpe: I don't know what we're talking about but it sounds good. It was good. It was a smart move.
- 29:46Melissa Shere Beek: Okay. And Jess, your lesson?
- 29:48Jessica Shere Coggins: Gotta repeat it because I was listening to
- 29:50Melissa Shere Beek: Oh, will you repeat the question? You guys are sleeping through this episode. No.
- 29:54Jessica Shere Coggins: I'm tired. I was fine and now I'm really tired.
- 29:57Melissa Shere Beek: Aw. Because you sat down. Thanks. Biggest lesson your children have taught you as they've gotten older?
- 30:03Jessica Shere Coggins: Oh, god.
- 30:05Melissa Shere Beek: Samantha, oh god. You're already in
- 30:06Jessica Shere Coggins: Everydays, I feel like she's like, there's so many lessons. There are, but I think the biggest lesson is is that you really have to watch everything you do and say.
- 30:15Melissa Shere Beek: You personally have to watch your Yeah, yeah, yeah. They pick up everything, yeah.
- 30:18Jessica Shere Coggins: Everything, even the memories.
- 30:20Melissa Shere Beek: Not even what you say, it so much
- 30:21Jessica Shere Coggins: No, worries it's what you the way they say it and like With Balin, she's got very bad road rage like me. Does she really? Oh, terrible. No. Terrible.
- 30:34That's terrible. I'm gonna say And that's totally she goes I go, Balin, you can't drive like this. You're only 17 years old. She goes, well, where do think I learned it from? And I was like, listen, I'm a lot older, and I definitely did not act like this when I was 17 and driving.
- 30:47Like, so I For the girl who did not want
- 30:50Samantha Shere Sharpe: to drive,
- 30:51Jessica Shere Coggins: I only can't
- 30:52Melissa Shere Beek: Maybe she see knew because she
- 30:54Jessica Shere Coggins: She was a good driver, but she is
- 30:56Melissa Shere Beek: She is a good driver, but she's What
- 30:57Jessica Shere Coggins: does she do?
- 30:58Melissa Shere Beek: She's just bouncing off behind the wheel in
- 30:59Jessica Shere Coggins: a She gets annoyed when people don't drive how she wants She them is a little close to them, very close to them, and so I'm like holding on for dear life. Then she'll be like, do
- 31:11Melissa Shere Beek: I need to show you the pictures of me in your car The
- 31:14Samantha Shere Sharpe: oh shit handles. Yeah. Oh shit Oh shit handles. Yeah. Oh shit handles.
- 31:18You taught me about that.
- 31:21Jessica Shere Coggins: No. I'm just everything, that's one part of many things they have taught me, but I think it real I see it as they get older, they do the same thing. Yeah. They do. They really copy.
- 31:33Melissa Shere Beek: Isn't genetics fun?
- 31:34Jessica Shere Coggins: Yeah. Environment
- 31:36Melissa Shere Beek: in genetics.
- 31:36Jessica Shere Coggins: Good or bad, you know?
- 31:39Melissa Shere Beek: Alright. You wanna go to the the beak bag?
- 31:42Jessica Shere Coggins: I'm sure.
- 31:42Melissa Shere Beek: Maybe it'll wake you up? I don't know
- 31:44Jessica Shere Coggins: I the one
- 31:45Samantha Shere Sharpe: that was tired in the car.
- 31:47Jessica Shere Coggins: I wasn't and now
- 31:48Samantha Shere Sharpe: I'm tired. That's what I'm saying.
- 31:49Melissa Shere Beek: Well, that's good. She was driving.
- 31:50Jessica Shere Coggins: No, I wasn't.
- 31:51Melissa Shere Beek: Oh, you were? Thank god. No.
- 31:53Jessica Shere Coggins: I'm out of a car.
- 31:54Melissa Shere Beek: You can put some on the couch and pick from there.
- 31:56Jessica Shere Coggins: What? I think oh, shit. Yeah. Oh, she only picked one.
- 32:01Samantha Shere Sharpe: I thought I picked two actually, but it's folded in half.
- 32:04Jessica Shere Coggins: I knew she was gonna do this.
- 32:05Melissa Shere Beek: She always said this to every question.
- 32:07Samantha Shere Sharpe: I'll do it. But you have to do about aging. That's skin cell. No. How fast
- 32:16Jessica Shere Coggins: my gray hairs come in.
- 32:19Samantha Shere Sharpe: Oh my god. I probably shouldn't say this. Stella comes in
- 32:22Jessica Shere Coggins: my room last night. Mom. Mom. Oh my god. Oh my god.
- 32:26Samantha Shere Sharpe: She had one. And it was curly.
- 32:29Melissa Shere Beek: I'm glad you're telling everybody I about
- 32:31Jessica Shere Coggins: was white.
- 32:35Melissa Shere Beek: Think Been dying my hair since I've in my It
- 32:38Samantha Shere Sharpe: was thick and it had a wave.
- 32:41Jessica Shere Coggins: Don't know. Balen has one and I
- 32:42Samantha Shere Sharpe: can't I pull it pulled why didn't you pull it out?
- 32:45Jessica Shere Coggins: She won't let me. Oh, it's like down to here now. It's white. Down to here now. It's like Okay.
- 32:50Melissa Shere Beek: So that surprises you about aging?

- 44:08Melissa Shere Beek: safe.
- 44:09Samantha Shere Sharpe: And I was at the time I was engaged. And I was driving a Lexus. And I missed a shootout by a few minutes. And I said that's it. I'm done.
- 44:20Jessica Shere Coggins: Wow. I remember it.
- 44:22Samantha Shere Sharpe: I remember the street I was on. I love those children. In fact, a funny story is over the weekend, Bria was asked to come to an event for the Miami Dade Public School Police Department. Uh-huh. So the police officers that and I'll tell
- 44:39Jessica Shere Coggins: you something after.
- 44:40Samantha Shere Sharpe: And it was actually located where the old juvenile courthouse was, which I used to go to all the Yeah. Mhmm. And I guess the police department took it over about nine years ago. But I was like, I walked in, it was like a flashback Wow.
- 44:54Melissa Shere Beek: Of like. Wow.
- 44:56Samantha Shere Sharpe: Where I I remember going to court in this courtroom and that courtroom. But yeah. And that that was pretty scary. And that was that was I was done. Done.

- 45:21Samantha Shere Sharpe: Not a good one.
- 45:22Melissa Shere Beek: It is a good one,
- 45:23Jessica Shere Coggins: but I saw some.
- 45:24Melissa Shere Beek: It wasn't. Thought it was gonna be a light funny one.
- 45:26Jessica Shere Coggins: Okay. Find another one.
- 45:27Melissa Shere Beek: Find another one? I'm gonna pull a Sam today. Find another one.
- 45:30Jessica Shere Coggins: I thought we had a rule today.

- 45:41Melissa Shere Beek: Okay. We're not answering that one. Okay. Samantha rule. Little known fact about you?
- 45:48Samantha Shere Sharpe: Okay. We're skipping
- 45:49Melissa Shere Beek: I that think all
- 45:50Jessica Shere Coggins: my shits out.
- 45:51Melissa Shere Beek: All our shits out? Okay. I'm I'm just gonna I know there's one in here that you didn't pick yet that I liked. If there was something from a movie or a book that isn't real but you would like it to be real, and I know what it would be for me. Hermione's handbag.
- 46:09Samantha Shere Sharpe: What the fuck
- 46:09Melissa Shere Beek: is that? So in Harry Potter, she has this tiny little bag. It's this tiny little cross body that's like this big. She pulls out a house, she pulls out a tent. It's sort of like a Mary Poppins bag.
- 46:22Oh, Like, my whatever the fuck you want is in the bag, you carry it But the bag is like super small. And I hate purses in bags. I never started carrying them until I had kids and I needed to like put diapers in something. Yeah. So I want Hermione's handbag because that way it could have like everything.
- 46:37Jessica Shere Coggins: I like that. I got candy in my bag, everyone knows that.
- 46:40Melissa Shere Beek: Oh, yeah. But like she's pulling out like a house with Yeah. Like That's piano and furniture and like, yeah. Like, okay. So go ahead.
- 46:46So that's my imaginary item that I would love to have to be real.
- 46:52Samantha Shere Sharpe: I don't feel like I watch enough movies to like all my shit that I watch is reality TV, which
- 46:57Melissa Shere Beek: Oh yeah, doesn't that's true. Don't watch
- 46:58Jessica Shere Coggins: that's a hard question. I have to like really think about the I mean, I'm not great with movies either.
- 47:04Melissa Shere Beek: No, but from any book that you read or any story from childhood?
- 47:07Jessica Shere Coggins: No, but in Beautiful Life.
- 47:09Melissa Shere Beek: You wanna be Spider Man? You could swing from buildings or
- 47:12Samantha Shere Sharpe: What's Beautiful Life?
- 47:13Jessica Shere Coggins: How do
- 47:13Melissa Shere Beek: I know Yeah, Beautiful Life.
- 47:15Jessica Shere Coggins: It's where he's like a genius in math, and I look I I like that movie for many reasons, but I don't wish I was that smart, but I sometimes wish I was be able a little smarter where you could just do.
- 47:29Melissa Shere Beek: But that's a reality thing, not a gadget that Yeah.
- 47:32Jessica Shere Coggins: That's true.
- 47:32Melissa Shere Beek: That's like
- 47:33Jessica Shere Coggins: Go go gadget. Go go gadget wheels.
- 47:36Melissa Shere Beek: Okay. You want Go go gadget wheels?
- 47:37Jessica Shere Coggins: I it's STEPTER GADGET. STEPTER GADGET.
- 47:41Melissa Shere Beek: He can
- 47:41Jessica Shere Coggins: get places in two seconds. The wheels go up on his car and he goes.
- 47:45Melissa Shere Beek: Oh, okay. I like that. Alright. So it's kinda like the car in Men in Black. They just turbocharge kinda thing.
- 47:50Jessica Shere Coggins: Well, can do a lot of things. Yeah. Yeah.
- 47:51Melissa Shere Beek: Yeah. Okay. Sam?
- 47:53Jessica Shere Coggins: I just thought of that though. I'm sure I have a lot more.
- 47:56Samantha Shere Sharpe: I have no fucking clue.
- 47:59Melissa Shere Beek: Okay. I don't know. You made me think of superpowers. I know what superpower I would want. I would be able like snap and be somewhere else immediately.
- 48:07So I wouldn't have to get on a plane or travel, like I could just like snap and be.
- 48:11Jessica Shere Coggins: I would like to be I think invisible. Really? I wanna know what other like goes on without
- 48:17Melissa Shere Beek: Oh, don't really give a shit about anything else.
- 48:20Jessica Shere Coggins: It's not people. It's just I wanna know I wanna be in the know. I wanna know what goes on with everything.
- 48:26Melissa Shere Beek: Okay, Sam, you don't have a gadget? Do you want a superpower? His superpower is to get
- 48:30Jessica Shere Coggins: my child from point a to point b. No. No. He's actually
- 48:34Melissa Shere Beek: He's there? No. Because I see you on the phone again.
