- 0:10SPEAKER_02: What's going on, everybody?
- 0:12SPEAKER_02: It's Aiden Novak coming at you with a brand new segment from the Rochester Christian University Shield Media Team.
- 0:20SPEAKER_02: I am a huge sports fan as well as all the guests that I'm going to be having on this brand new Shield Sport podcast.
- 0:28SPEAKER_02: I'm so excited to be talking about football for the next couple of weeks as we are in the heart of the NFL and college football seasons here in the fall.
- 0:37SPEAKER_02: This one is going to be posted a little bit later than I intended, but this is going to be covering week four of the college football slate as well as week three of the NFL for our pick'ems and recaps of week three for college football and week two for the NFL.
- 0:53SPEAKER_02: And a couple of special guests I have joining me today are members of the Rochester Christian baseball team.
- 0:58SPEAKER_02: We have Lyndon Faye, Peyton Rich, and Jake Nutall.
- 1:02SPEAKER_02: Fellas, how are we doing today?
- 1:04SPEAKER_03: Doing good.
- 1:04SPEAKER_03: How about you, Nov?
- 1:05SPEAKER_02: We're doing great, man.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: Awesome, man.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: Happy to be back.
- 1:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:09SPEAKER_01: It's a pleasure, Nov.
- 1:10SPEAKER_01: It always is.
- 1:11SPEAKER_02: Pleasure to have you guys on here.
- 1:12SPEAKER_02: Thank you again for joining me.
- 1:13SPEAKER_02: So let's jump right into it.
- 1:15SPEAKER_02: From week three of the college football season, we had a couple really good games last week, but we're going to start local with teams around the area.
- 1:23SPEAKER_02: So we'll start with the University of Michigan.
- 1:25SPEAKER_02: They played the UTEP minors last week.
- 1:27SPEAKER_02: Scary first half.
- 1:28SPEAKER_02: Only up 17-14 at halftime.
- 1:31SPEAKER_02: Ended up coming out on top decisively 52 to 17.
- 1:35SPEAKER_02: Jake, you were at the game last week.
- 1:38SPEAKER_02: I was.
- 1:38SPEAKER_02: I was at the game.
- 1:39SPEAKER_02: What were your thoughts?
- 1:41SPEAKER_03: Um like I mean, we talked a little bit beforehand, but it's hard to play four quarters of good football against the University of Michigan's defense.
- 1:49SPEAKER_03: And just being at the game, like it just seemed like the turnovers is what led to the points for UTEP overall.
- 1:56SPEAKER_03: Um defense played really well.
- 1:58SPEAKER_03: I thought Bryce Underwood actually had a a lot better game than people.
- 2:01SPEAKER_03: I mean, people have been kind of like clowning on him and stuff, but he actually looked pretty good against UTEP from like just like uh watching him live.
- 2:10SPEAKER_03: And uh one thing I'll say is like it seems like Michigan will start to get their footing as time goes by.
- 2:16SPEAKER_03: I mean, we know we had that Western Michigan kind of fiasco with the one second left and stuff with that, but big win against Oklahoma, and I mean they're a second half team so far of what I've seen.
- 2:28SPEAKER_03: But a good game.
- 2:30SPEAKER_03: Big Tommy Carr touchdown.
- 2:32SPEAKER_03: That was good to see.
- 2:33SPEAKER_02: First of his career to Celeste Moa, another freshman, first of his career as well.
- 2:37SPEAKER_02: That was really good to see at the end of the game.
- 2:39SPEAKER_02: Peyton, what were your thoughts?
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: Um, first half, it kind of gave the same kind of vibes the Western Michigan game.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: Put the ball on the ground twice and gave him two short fields that went out and converted and scored 14 points off those turnovers.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: Um but big loss, I think, coming up Jordan Marshall.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: I don't think he's gonna play this weekend against Iowa.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: But um Save and Heider looked really well.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: Bryce Underwood played really well, except the fumble in the first half, I thought, and uh I'm excited about Celeste Moa taking over the the third wide receiver slot, possibly.
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: I think he's gonna be really good for us.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: That's a good promise.
- 3:11SPEAKER_02: There were a lot, there was a lot of competition for that wide receiver three role because it was pretty obvious wide receivers one and two, Andrew Marsh, JJ Buchanan, obvious coming into the season.
- 3:19SPEAKER_02: It's been obvious for the first three games.
- 3:21SPEAKER_02: That wide receiver three slot had a lot of competition between Jamie French, Celeste Moa, another freshman, Travis Johnson.
- 3:27SPEAKER_02: Good to see Celeste Moa make a huge play right there at the end of the game.
- 3:30SPEAKER_02: Behey, what were your thoughts?
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: Um, a much needed bounce back game, honestly, after the shaky first two weeks uh as an offense.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: Um, no, yeah, just uh teep kid uh keep taking care of the ball, frankly.
- 3:43SPEAKER_01: And that's I mean, you put up 50 points against a UTEP team that you should put 50 points up on.
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: So not much to say there.
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: Bryce Underwood actually did look good this game.
- 3:52SPEAKER_01: I haven't said that in a while.
- 3:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah, finished with 223 passing yards.
- 3:57SPEAKER_02: Andrew Marsh and JJ Buchanan each had a couple good stat lines themselves.
- 4:01SPEAKER_02: Andrew Marsh.
- 4:02SPEAKER_03: Buchanan popped off.
- 4:02SPEAKER_03: Yes, Buchanan and Marsh both.
- 4:05SPEAKER_02: Buchanan and Marsh both.
- 4:06SPEAKER_02: Andrew Marsh finished with 10 catches, 105 yards, and a touchdown.
- 4:09SPEAKER_02: JJ Buchanan, I believe, finished with seven catches, 92 yards, and a touchdown.
- 4:13SPEAKER_02: Both really good games from them.
- 4:15SPEAKER_02: Now let's move over to Sparty.
- 4:16SPEAKER_02: They had a much tougher task on their plate.
- 4:19SPEAKER_02: They traveled on the road to South Bend to play the number three Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
- 4:24SPEAKER_02: Did not come out on top, but they did give Notre Dame a run for their money.
- 4:27SPEAKER_02: Lost 27 to 10, and Notre Dame just kind of pulled away in the fourth quarter.
- 4:31SPEAKER_03: Yeah, like I said, again, same thing with Michigan, but it's just hard to put up four quarters of football against Notre Dame's defense.
- 4:38SPEAKER_03: I mean, they have one of the best defensive players in the country.
- 4:40SPEAKER_03: It's hard, it's hard to score.
- 4:42SPEAKER_03: Um, pressure, pressure, pressure.
- 4:44SPEAKER_03: That was the name of the game for them.
- 4:45SPEAKER_03: I mean, I think like quarters one through three, uh Sparty's offensive line did a good job of containing them.
- 4:53SPEAKER_03: The fourth quarter they just got after the quarterback.
- 4:56SPEAKER_03: I mean, a couple big sacks, third and long sack, have to punt.
- 5:00SPEAKER_03: They go down and score.
- 5:01SPEAKER_03: I think in the first quarter, Nordane made or the first half, Nordane made a lot of mistakes.
- 5:07SPEAKER_03: And I think that uh just good coaching allowed those mistakes to dwindle down in the second half.
- 5:13SPEAKER_03: If I remember correctly, they were uh actually winning penalties in yardage.
- 5:18SPEAKER_03: Michigan State was, and I think that's like the big adjustment that they made, playing a little bit more disciplined, and I think that's what kind of led them to pull away as well.
- 5:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it was uh very competitive for the first three for sure, and uh Michigan State did force those mistakes from Notre Dame, the penalties.
- 5:33SPEAKER_02: I think they had a turnover or two in there.
- 5:35SPEAKER_02: Just couldn't capitalize.
- 5:36SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 5:37SPEAKER_03: And again, CJ Carr is one of the best quarterbacks in college football right now.
- 5:40SPEAKER_03: I mean, that's just what it is.
- 5:42SPEAKER_03: I think Michigan State this year, if they keep playing up toward towards their opponents, they could have a pretty decent year.
- 5:48SPEAKER_03: I know that it's been a rough couple years uh being a Michigan or being a Sparties fan, but uh I like their I like their sophomore quarterback a lot.
- 5:56SPEAKER_03: Uh losing Aiden Childs is big in the transfer portal or but um he he played well.
- 6:01SPEAKER_03: He played well.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: I think the game kind of went how we thought it was going to.
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: We talked last week about um new coaching coming in and a culture being built for Michigan State, and they played with a top five roster in the country for the first three quarters of the game.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: Obviously in the th in the fourth quarter, I think the talent kind of overcame and they just pulled away.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: But I think Michigan State is still building and kind of a little a little bit scary as a Michigan fan.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: Um it's gonna be interesting this this year, I think, playing them.
- 6:30SPEAKER_00: But yeah, I think they're doing good things over there in East Lancer.
- 6:33SPEAKER_02: Just want to touch on what you brought up, Nutt, about the penalties really quick.
- 6:37SPEAKER_02: Peyton, you talk about it's gonna be interesting for sure when Michigan, Michigan State play later down the line in November.
- 6:43SPEAKER_02: Michigan has had a big problem with penalties this year, especially pre-snap penalties on the offensive line.
- 6:49SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 6:50SPEAKER_02: They've had huge problems with it, getting themselves behind the chains, and they've shown that they've struggled to move the ball, especially when they get themselves behind the chains.
- 6:56SPEAKER_02: And if Michigan State can win the penalties battle and take advantage of those mistakes that Michigan makes, Michigan State could very easily come out on top in that game in the big house.
- 7:05SPEAKER_02: But we'll touch on that a little bit more once we get closer to that game in November.
- 7:08SPEAKER_02: But definitely something to keep an eye on throughout the season.
- 7:11SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I think one big point that I've seen the difference between Michigan football and Michigan State football this year is Michigan State still runs Big Ten football.
- 7:19SPEAKER_03: When you think about Big Ten football, you have two tight ends, right?
- 7:21SPEAKER_03: You're running counters, you're running traps, you're running the football.
- 7:24SPEAKER_03: And it seems like Michigan's kind of gravitated more towards that RPO type of playstyle with Bryce Underwood a lot of shotgun rather than under center, a lot of options.
- 7:32SPEAKER_03: I mean, when you have an athletic quarterback like Underwood.
- 7:35SPEAKER_03: But it's interesting to see how those two kind of schemes are gonna match up to one another.
- 7:39SPEAKER_03: And I think that if MSU, I I would not be surprised if that game is a lot closer than we anticipated, even if Michigan continues to be hot like they are right now.
- 7:48SPEAKER_02: And you wonder why Michigan State still plays that Big Ten style of football.
- 7:52SPEAKER_02: They have a coach that was in the Big Ten for a long time at Northwestern, so he knows how the Big Ten works, he knows how to play that style of football, he's brought it over to Michigan State, and they've definitely shown some promise with it for sure.
- 8:04SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 8:04SPEAKER_02: Hey, you got anything to add?
- 8:06SPEAKER_01: Um, I just feel like on the MSU side against Nordame, the game was just completely lost in the trenches.
- 8:12SPEAKER_01: I mean, Notre Dame definitely has more talent, but I feel like just in the third and fourth quarter, offense was completely dead.
- 8:17SPEAKER_01: There was true, like no true fight on the offensive line, and they just got completely blown up every play and no points in the second half, and it showed.
- 8:27SPEAKER_02: So that's where the talent gap comes into play for sure.
- 8:30SPEAKER_02: Want to dive into two more games really quick for this college football slate from week three.
- 8:34SPEAKER_02: We had a couple ranked-on-ranked matchups.
- 8:36SPEAKER_02: SMU and Louisville in the ACC.
- 8:39SPEAKER_02: That game was a shootout.
- 8:41SPEAKER_02: It was very fun to watch.
- 8:42SPEAKER_02: Louisville came out on top 41-31 over Kevin Jennings and the Mustangs.
- 8:48SPEAKER_02: Man, what a ball game that one was, guys.
- 8:50SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I mean ACC football.
- 8:52SPEAKER_03: I mean, you think about Power 4, like ACC kind of gets lost sometimes between Big Ten and SEC, but they have some gamers there.
- 8:58SPEAKER_03: I mean, Louisville and SMU both like very much considered teams every year to go and get a good bowl game and whatnot.
- 9:04SPEAKER_03: And uh Yeah, I'm not surprised that that game was high scoring as it was.
- 9:09SPEAKER_02: Those two teams are gonna be two of the front runners for the ACC championship as well in a potential playoff berth, in my opinion.
- 9:15SPEAKER_02: Louisville's got a great quarterback in Lincoln Keen Holt.
- 9:18SPEAKER_02: He's been really impressive.
- 9:20SPEAKER_02: I've been really surprised with how he's played the Ohio State transfer throughout the first couple of weeks.
- 9:25SPEAKER_02: He's been really surprising, and I loved it.
- 9:27SPEAKER_02: Love what I've been seeing from him.
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I feel like that was another game that we pretty much hit spot on.
- 9:32SPEAKER_00: I think we all three agreed on Louisville winning that game, and um the Louisville's offense has just looked really good to start the year, so I think they're gonna be maybe not a contender, but a contender to get into the playoff is a a lower seed.
- 9:44SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 9:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean the defense does have to step it up.
- 9:48SPEAKER_01: You can't just be giving up 30 points per game.
- 9:50SPEAKER_01: But also when you average 16, um K John Brown, I don't know if I'm pronouncing that correctly.
- 9:56SPEAKER_01: I just let the bot store.
- 9:57SPEAKER_01: 10 carries, one 63.
- 10:00SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 10:01SPEAKER_01: I mean, averaging 16 yards a carry, that's um it's definitely a stat.
- 10:05SPEAKER_01: And I mean, you also cannot keep that up throughout the season, so the defense just needs to step it up.
- 10:10SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but with the amount of firepower that Louisville has, they can pick up the slack that the defense kind of lets on, giving up those 30 points per game.
- 10:18SPEAKER_02: Louisville picks it up with their offense for sure.
- 10:21SPEAKER_01: Not in the playoffs against the Notre Dame, you know.
- 10:24SPEAKER_01: Deep in the deep in the trenches.
- 10:26SPEAKER_02: You're absolutely right.
- 10:26SPEAKER_02: Once you start facing those really high-level opponents like those Notre Dames and like those high-level Big Ten opponents like Ohio State, Indiana, if you face them in the playoffs, if you get there, defense gotta step it up for sure because the offense can't keep bailing you out.
- 10:40SPEAKER_02: But one more game I want to look at from college football, we all know.
- 10:43SPEAKER_02: LSU Toddy, man.
- 10:46SPEAKER_02: I mean, that's got potential to be game of the year.
- 10:49SPEAKER_02: It was dominated by Olmus through the entire first half.
- 10:52SPEAKER_02: 24-7.
- 10:53SPEAKER_02: Olmis had a commanding lead.
- 10:55SPEAKER_02: Lane Kiffin stays composed, the whole LSU team stays composed.
- 10:59SPEAKER_02: They're coming back, and they tie the game 24-24, and then Trinidad Chambliss.
- 11:05SPEAKER_02: Huge touchdown run in the fourth quarter in the red zone.
- 11:09SPEAKER_02: Gives Olmus the lead, and the defense shuts it down.
- 11:12SPEAKER_02: What a ball game, fellas.
- 11:15SPEAKER_00: I mean I was wrong about this one.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: I thought Lane Kiffin was gonna be pulled out, but give credit to the LSU team because they went down early and it looked like it was gonna be a bloodbath.
- 11:24SPEAKER_00: It looked like they were gonna lose by 30 points.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 11:27SPEAKER_00: But honestly, I think the story began everybody wanted in I mean, cod football.
- 11:32SPEAKER_00: That was you you'll have to see a team fight back against their old coach that left them right for the playoff and walk off touchdown like that.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: That was a that was a cool way to win the game for sure.
- 11:40SPEAKER_02: I think it's pretty safe to say that pretty much the entire country, other than LSU fans, was behind Olmus for that game, wanting them to win it.
- 11:48SPEAKER_02: I know I was one of those people for sure.
- 11:50SPEAKER_02: Fehey, I believe you and I last week picked Olmus to win that game.
- 11:55SPEAKER_02: That is true.
- 11:56SPEAKER_02: Peyton was the only one that wasn't.
- 11:57SPEAKER_02: He did.
- 11:58SPEAKER_02: He had a lot of faith in Lane Kiffman, and to be fair, they put up a great fight, like like we were talking about, down 17, come back, tie the game, just lose it in the final eight minutes of the game.
- 12:09SPEAKER_02: It was a great ball game for sure.
- 12:10SPEAKER_01: I just like, especially last year when Lane Kiff when your head coach leaves you right before the playoffs and almost won two quality games against quality opponents, that just showed me like, yeah, they're ready to take on Lane Kiff and get the revenge and do what they need to do, and they handle business.
- 12:28SPEAKER_02: Absolutely, they did exactly what needed to happen in that game.
- 12:31SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I think one thing that was kind of a turning point for the the game from an offensive standpoint for LSU is losing green.
- 12:42SPEAKER_03: Like that's a big red zone target, and that kind of showed in their last drive right there.
- 12:46SPEAKER_03: I mean, going down with a knee injury.
- 12:48SPEAKER_03: I don't know if he's uh like week to week or if he's out for a little bit, but I mean, big tight end target that you lose right there, six foot seven tight end.
- 12:56SPEAKER_03: I mean, who's also very fast and athletic.
- 13:00SPEAKER_03: Like matchup nightmare.
- 13:01SPEAKER_03: You can't put a DB on him because he's just gonna get head tapped, but you can't put a linebacker on him because he's just gonna outrun a linebacker.
- 13:07SPEAKER_03: And you know, when you don't have a a target like that in the later stages of a football game, it makes it that much harder to score overall.
- 13:15SPEAKER_02: No doubt.
- 13:16SPEAKER_02: Huge red zone target, like you mentioned, six foot seven, build of a tight end, speed of a wide receiver.
- 13:22SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 13:22SPEAKER_02: That is a matchup nightmare.
- 13:23SPEAKER_02: Impossible to cover.
- 13:24SPEAKER_02: I mean, and if you double team them, you're just gonna leave opportunity for one of their other receivers to get open or even their running back out of the flat or something like that.
- 13:32SPEAKER_02: Losing him is potentially, other than Sam Levitt, the biggest loss on offense that LSU has.
- 13:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 13:38SPEAKER_02: But that was a really eventful week of college football with big games that we had.
- 13:46SPEAKER_02: We're gonna dive into NFL now.
- 13:47SPEAKER_02: Week two, start with the Lions.
- 13:49SPEAKER_02: They played on Thursday night football last week.
- 13:52SPEAKER_02: Uh guys, do we have a secondary in Detroit?
- 13:55SPEAKER_02: Does it exist?
- 13:56SPEAKER_02: No.
- 13:56SPEAKER_02: 41 to 31 loss against Buffalo at the new High Mark Stadium in the season opener.
- 14:01SPEAKER_02: Jared Goff led the game in passing with 327 yards.
- 14:04SPEAKER_02: But when you give up 41 points, you're just not gonna win.
- 14:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I mean.
- 14:08SPEAKER_03: It's tough.
- 14:10SPEAKER_03: Uh, you know, DBs, you're still out with Kirby Joseph.
- 14:13SPEAKER_03: If he's ever gonna play football again, um, you know, Brian Branch still not out, two safety leaders.
- 14:19SPEAKER_03: They're both out right now.
- 14:21SPEAKER_03: I mean, secondary's getting torched every play.
- 14:23SPEAKER_03: You can't run man because our DBs just aren't good enough to run man.
- 14:27SPEAKER_03: I mean, it seems like we're running quite a bit of zone, but also like besides Campbell and Hutchinson and our D-line's pretty solid and we got some good pressure, but Josh Allen's just a dog, too.
- 14:37SPEAKER_03: It's tough to play against the Bills.
- 14:40SPEAKER_03: Uh hopefully it's not like this moving forward.
- 14:42SPEAKER_03: I mean, we gotta go get someone.
- 14:44SPEAKER_03: Just simple as that.
- 14:45SPEAKER_03: We gotta go get someone.
- 14:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah, gotta go make a signing, go out in free agency, go make a splash in the trade deadline at some point.
- 14:52SPEAKER_02: You you need help in that secondary, because like you said, Kirby Joseph might never play football again.
- 14:56SPEAKER_02: Brian Branch is still gonna be out for probably at least half of this season with that torn Achilles he's still recovering from.
- 15:02SPEAKER_02: Secondary has just been pieced together like essentially paper mache right now.
- 15:08unknown: Yeah.
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: Um I talked about it uh last week.
- 15:12SPEAKER_00: I think really the big key for the Lions was to contain Josh Allen.
- 15:15SPEAKER_00: We didn't do that.
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: Did not do that at all.
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: I mean he scored five he accounted for five touchdowns, three passing and two rushing.
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: I really think it's our linebacker core, because um James Cook, 21 carries for 135 yards.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: And and we allowed seven seven receptions and ninety-five yards by Kincaid, and Knox also had a touchdown in the game.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: I think they they're not playing the run or the pass very well.
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: I think obviously our secondary needs to improve.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: But Anzalone was a big piece for us, and I think us not having him is is really, I mean, proving costly for us so far this year.
- 15:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah, the loss of Anzalone has definitely proved to hurt so far.
- 15:51SPEAKER_02: Even in the win against the Saints, we saw it.
- 15:53SPEAKER_02: Cause up 21-0, give up that giant lead.
- 15:57SPEAKER_02: Secondary obviously was still a problem in that game, but yeah, linebacker core definitely didn't help matters either.
- 16:01SPEAKER_02: Because Juwan Johnson's still a pretty solid tight end.
- 16:03SPEAKER_02: They let up quite a few yards to him as well.
- 16:05SPEAKER_02: Lions just need to figure it out next week against the Jets.
- 16:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah, there's no true identity on his defense at all, like right now.
- 16:12SPEAKER_01: Like, it just completely lost, and it's truly like sad to watch.
- 16:16SPEAKER_01: Like, as a defensive mind, like you truly like seen defenses secede, and they're just they're not seceding at all.
- 16:23SPEAKER_01: It's horrible.
- 16:24SPEAKER_01: There's not that much to say about it.
- 16:26SPEAKER_00: Our first true stop was in the second half of the football game.
- 16:31SPEAKER_01: How much points were we down by?
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: Our only stop was in the first half was the clock running out.
- 16:36SPEAKER_03: I think that graphic came up before that the before that punt.
- 16:40SPEAKER_03: It was like 10 for 10 on scoring drives.
- 16:43SPEAKER_03: Good.
- 16:43SPEAKER_03: Like last 10 drives.
- 16:44SPEAKER_03: It was like 10 for 10.
- 16:46SPEAKER_03: But I mean, I think it's time we started thinking about another defensive coordinator in Detroit.
- 16:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 16:50SPEAKER_01: I mean, what was it?
- 16:51SPEAKER_01: Touchdown, touchdown, field goal, touchdown, field goal, something like that.
- 16:54SPEAKER_03: Missed field goal in there too, and then end of half.
- 16:57SPEAKER_03: And then we we finally forced a punt.
- 16:59SPEAKER_03: Like that's that's a brutal game.
- 17:00SPEAKER_03: And I mean, looking at the first three quarters against the Saints, I'm like, oh, Lions, Lions defense might uh might got some life this year.
- 17:08SPEAKER_03: Right, yeah.
- 17:09SPEAKER_03: Not looking that way.
- 17:10SPEAKER_03: Not quite.
- 17:11SPEAKER_03: I mean, offense is one of the most high-powered offensive in the NFL, even without Ben Johnson as your OC, which is, you know, another big loss there.
- 17:19SPEAKER_03: But uh hopefully Brad Holmes goes and realizes that the defense is, you know, you think about the good teams like Kansas City Chiefs.
- 17:26SPEAKER_03: I mean, they their defense is amazing.
- 17:28SPEAKER_03: And I think you need a really good defense to go be a contender in the NFL to begin with.
- 17:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah, um, quick uh quick question, Ovet.
- 17:35SPEAKER_01: Do you um I know we're gonna try to get Joey Par uh Joey Porter Jr.
- 17:39SPEAKER_01: Like and he said like he failed his fiscal or something.
- 17:42SPEAKER_01: Do you know anything about that?
- 17:43SPEAKER_02: I did not hear anything about that, but I have heard talks that the Lions are trying to go get Joey Porter Jr.
- 17:47SPEAKER_02: So I mean, not you're talking about going and getting somebody, that's at least somebody.
- 17:51SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 17:52SPEAKER_02: Is he a high-level NFL corner?
- 17:54SPEAKER_02: Absolutely not.
- 17:55SPEAKER_02: Not quite, but he's still a cornerback that can help out this secondary, and it's better than what they've got now.
- 18:00SPEAKER_03: Right, right, right.
- 18:01SPEAKER_02: Starting fourth string safeties in the secondary.
- 18:03SPEAKER_03: I mean, I think it was a big thing we should have traded Laporta for Christian Gonzalez earlier in the year before Christian Gonzalez had the opportunity to go sign that deal with the Patriots.
- 18:11SPEAKER_03: I would have liked to see Gonzalez in in Detroit.
- 18:14SPEAKER_03: Um, I was disappointed with that, but again, it's just hard when we had the draft classes that we had and be superstars, and now you're running to that cap space issue with it too.
- 18:25SPEAKER_03: But um, yeah, excited.
- 18:27SPEAKER_03: I mean, I guess the Jets.
- 18:29SPEAKER_03: I mean, I don't want to say any win in the NFL is easy, but it's one of those games that you expect to win and expect to dominate.
- 18:36SPEAKER_03: We'll get there, man.
- 18:37SPEAKER_02: We'll get there.
- 18:38SPEAKER_02: We'll get to the pick'ems here in a little bit.
- 18:41SPEAKER_02: So, yeah, just kind of hold your thoughts on those really quick.
- 18:44SPEAKER_02: Not really too many games I want to look at in terms of the actual game itself from the NFL week two slate, but I just want to talk about some of the injuries.
- 18:53SPEAKER_02: I mean Caleb Williams.
- 18:55SPEAKER_02: Yes, chaos has been happening in the NFL.
- 18:57SPEAKER_02: I hinted at it a little bit in the intro, just how chaotic the season is getting, and we're only in week two.
- 19:02SPEAKER_02: Caleb Williams pulling his hamstring.
- 19:04SPEAKER_02: Everybody thought that he tore his Achilles towards ACL.
- 19:07SPEAKER_02: Something brutal happened, judging by his reaction on the cart.
- 19:10SPEAKER_02: But it turns out he's gonna be just fine.
- 19:12SPEAKER_02: He'll probably be back within the next couple weeks.
- 19:15SPEAKER_02: So a little bit of an overreaction there from fans and Caleb Williams himself.
- 19:21SPEAKER_02: But um he will be fine.
- 19:24SPEAKER_02: He will be playing again soon.
- 19:25SPEAKER_02: But another one I want to talk about the Giants are so cursed, man.
- 19:28SPEAKER_02: Jackson Yart, oh, that's such a brutal loss.
- 19:32SPEAKER_03: Don't count out action, James, or famous Jameis or whatever his name.
- 19:36SPEAKER_02: Famous Jameis Winston.
- 19:37SPEAKER_03: Don't count him out, man.
- 19:39SPEAKER_02: No, definitely not counting him out, but that guy just can't catch a break.
- 19:43SPEAKER_02: The Giants fan base in general can't catch a break.
- 19:45SPEAKER_02: First, you got neighbors going down last year.
- 19:47SPEAKER_02: Then you had Dart going down with concussion.
- 19:49SPEAKER_02: Then you had Scataboo shattering his ankle last year.
- 19:53SPEAKER_02: And now you got Dart going down again this year.
- 19:55SPEAKER_02: I mean, can these guys catch a break at all?
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: It finally felt like they were turning a corner too.
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: I mean, they were so good in week two.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: They looked amazing in week one.
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: Everybody was hurt throughout the game this week, it seemed like neighbors was out, Dart was out.
- 20:09SPEAKER_00: It just seemed like Isaiah Likely was shaken up.
- 20:12SPEAKER_00: All their weapons were just hurt for at least part of the game.
- 20:15SPEAKER_02: And that's why they only scored six points.
- 20:17SPEAKER_02: That and the Rams' defense still being as solid as it is, but still, I mean the injuries definitely played a big part in the lack of offense from the Giants on Monday Night Football in LA.
- 20:28SPEAKER_02: But hopefully they're able to get healthy.
- 20:31SPEAKER_02: Sounds like Jackson Dart's gonna be out for the rest of the season, so that one really hurts.
- 20:35SPEAKER_02: But hopefully those guys are able to get healthy, they're able to stay clean throughout the rest of the year, and we can have some starters actually staying healthy throughout the course of the season, have a lot more competitive football throughout the NFL season.
- 20:47SPEAKER_02: But that's enough from last week, college and NFL.
- 20:50SPEAKER_02: Let's jump into this week and let's start making some picks, fellas.
- 20:53SPEAKER_02: We got a lot of great games to start this off.
- 20:56SPEAKER_02: We're going to college football, we got a lot of ranked matchups.
- 20:59SPEAKER_02: Let's start off on Friday night.
- 21:01SPEAKER_02: We're gonna go through all the top 25 teams and their games that they're playing.
- 21:04SPEAKER_02: We got Big Ten play to kick us off.
- 21:06SPEAKER_02: 8 p.m.
- 21:06SPEAKER_02: on Fox, number five Indiana hosts the Northwestern Wildcats.
- 21:10SPEAKER_02: Indiana's favorite by 21.
- 21:12SPEAKER_02: Should be a pretty easy win for the Hoosiers to open Big Ten play.
- 21:15SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I completely agree with that one.
- 21:17SPEAKER_03: I mean, uh no question there.
- 21:19SPEAKER_02: Not much to say.
- 21:19SPEAKER_02: Northwestern's still kind of one of the bottom teams in the Big Ten, and Indiana's the reigning national champs.
- 21:24SPEAKER_00: I mean, they st I think Northwestern looked really good last week.
- 21:26SPEAKER_00: They've won by 40 points against Colorado, but Yeah, but it's it's Colorado, though.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be closer.
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: It's not gonna be a 40-point game.
- 21:35SPEAKER_00: At least hopefully they can keep it competitive and make it interesting.
- 21:38SPEAKER_00: But I Indiana's still gonna win the game.
- 21:39SPEAKER_02: Okay, so I've got Indiana, Nuts got Indiana, P Rich has Indiana Feihy.
- 21:43SPEAKER_01: You got Indiana?
- 21:43SPEAKER_01: Uh yeah, they're just way too well disciplined to uh let this team set by.
- 21:48SPEAKER_01: Give me Indiana.
- 21:49SPEAKER_02: All right.
- 21:50SPEAKER_02: Sweep for Indiana there.
- 21:51SPEAKER_02: Now we're gonna move to Saturday.
- 21:53SPEAKER_02: How about this game to kick off the day at noon?
- 21:56SPEAKER_02: Number one Texas goes on the road to Knoxville to take on the 14th.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: Ranked Tennessee volunteers.
- 22:01SPEAKER_02: Texas opens as a four-point favorite.
- 22:04SPEAKER_02: This is gonna be a fun one, boys.
- 22:06SPEAKER_02: Who do we got here?
- 22:06SPEAKER_02: College game day is gonna be at this one.
- 22:10SPEAKER_03: I do like my Rocky Top country.
- 22:12SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna say that.
- 22:13SPEAKER_02: I do love the Vols.
- 22:14SPEAKER_03: I do love Voles, but um I mean Texas looked really good.
- 22:18SPEAKER_03: They looked really good against Ohio State.
- 22:20SPEAKER_03: So um I'm gonna choose Texas here.
- 22:22SPEAKER_03: Uh go horns.
- 22:24SPEAKER_03: Hook 'em.
- 22:25SPEAKER_03: But uh we will we will see.
- 22:28SPEAKER_03: It's gonna be a close game.
- 22:29SPEAKER_03: It's gonna be a very close game.
- 22:30SPEAKER_03: I would not be surprised if that game goes to overtime, especially being at Tennessee.
- 22:34SPEAKER_03: I mean this could be a tough one to pull out.
- 22:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's gonna be interesting for sure.
- 22:39SPEAKER_02: So Nuts got Tennessee.
- 22:40SPEAKER_02: Pierre, we got.
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: I mean, I say flip a coin.
- 22:42SPEAKER_00: They're gonna get the archman you saw against Ohio State in the first three quarters, or the archman you get in the fourth quarter of that game.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: But it just feels like it's Texas' year, man.
- 22:50SPEAKER_00: They've been so close for three, four years now.
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: I think they go and get it done in Tennessee.
- 22:56SPEAKER_02: We got two Texas picks so far.
- 22:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and make it a third.
- 23:01SPEAKER_01: Make it a third.
- 23:02SPEAKER_02: That's all you got to say.
- 23:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, they're one of the best teams in college football.
- 23:07SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's a tough task.
- 23:08SPEAKER_01: They should get it done.
- 23:10SPEAKER_02: As badly as I want to pick Tennessee to win this game, I mean, I just can't.
- 23:16SPEAKER_02: Tennessee just, they're a great team, but I just don't think they've got the firepower to keep up with that Texas offense.
- 23:22SPEAKER_02: Arch Manning throwing the ball to Cam Coleman and Ryan Wingo and that offense.
- 23:26SPEAKER_02: Just so much firepower on that Texas offense and their defense is pretty stout too, holding Ohio State to three points in the entire second half in that game.
- 23:35SPEAKER_02: So I'm gonna have to go with Texas here.
- 23:37SPEAKER_02: I agree with Nutt.
- 23:38SPEAKER_02: Horns up.
- 23:39SPEAKER_02: So a sweep for Texas from us on this one.
- 23:42SPEAKER_02: And speaking of Ohio State, they're on big news Saturday.
- 23:44SPEAKER_02: They're taking on Illinois to open conference play, 27 and a half point favorites.
- 23:48SPEAKER_02: I think Ohio State's gonna run away with this one.
- 23:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I agree.
- 23:51SPEAKER_03: Ohio State's gonna win by a lot.
- 23:53SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Illinois's probably one of, if not the worst team in the Big Ten consistently in and in, you know, every year.
- 24:01SPEAKER_03: I mean, no brainer there.
- 24:02SPEAKER_02: Well, since they lost Luke Altmeyer, they're definitely getting worse this year.
- 24:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 24:06SPEAKER_02: That was a huge loss.
- 24:07SPEAKER_02: He's now with the Lions, so Ohio State.
- 24:13SPEAKER_01: That's it.
- 24:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 24:14SPEAKER_02: Pretty simple there.
- 24:15SPEAKER_02: Four picks for Ohio State.
- 24:18SPEAKER_02: Moving on to Texas Tech and Sam Houston.
- 24:20SPEAKER_02: This one might even be easier.
- 24:22SPEAKER_02: Texas Tech's 34.5 point favorites.
- 24:24SPEAKER_02: Taking the Red Raiders.
- 24:26SPEAKER_00: Going Texas Tech.
- 24:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's an easy one.
- 24:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 24:30SPEAKER_01: Give me Ted.
- 24:31SPEAKER_02: Not much to say there.
- 24:32SPEAKER_02: This one could be a little interesting.
- 24:34SPEAKER_02: Number 16 Louisville hosts Wake Forest in ACC play.
- 24:38SPEAKER_02: Louisville does open as 13.5 point favorites, but Wake Forest did give Miami a bit of a run last week.
- 24:43SPEAKER_02: Miami only won by 13.
- 24:45SPEAKER_02: Wake Forest defense shut them down in the fourth quarter.
- 24:48SPEAKER_02: They held Miami to zero points in that fourth quarter after they were averaging what 60 points a game coming into that one.
- 24:54SPEAKER_02: This one could be a little interesting here.
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: This is a high powered Louisville offense, though.
- 24:58SPEAKER_00: I just something about the Louisville team, I just love them this year.
- 25:01SPEAKER_00: I'm taking Louisville.
- 25:02SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I agree.
- 25:03SPEAKER_03: I think SMU's defense is also a lot better um than Wake Forest overall.
- 25:11SPEAKER_03: I mean, yeah, you shut out Miami, but I mean I think that's kind of a fluke too.
- 25:15SPEAKER_03: Um Yeah, I I'm probably taking Louisville as well.
- 25:19SPEAKER_03: I mean, putting up 41 points in last week and then coming out, I I don't expect this game to be.
- 25:26SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 25:27SPEAKER_03: I don't expect this game to be as close, but or I mean as far apart, but I think it'll probably be like a two-touchdown game.
- 25:35SPEAKER_02: That's fair.
- 25:36SPEAKER_02: So we got two Louisville so far.
- 25:37SPEAKER_02: Fehi, what do you got?
- 25:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Thames can get scary, honestly.
- 25:40SPEAKER_01: Wade Forest did look pretty good against Miami.
- 25:42SPEAKER_02: Didn't look too bad at all.
- 25:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but I gotta take Louisville here.
- 25:45SPEAKER_01: I mean, there's simply just a better team, great offense, and I mean it's just gonna be another example of their offense just like rolling through teams.
- 25:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah, as when I did say it was gonna be an interesting game, I still do think Louisville will come out on top.
- 25:58SPEAKER_02: I agree with Nutt, probably gonna be about a two-touchdown game or so.
- 26:01SPEAKER_02: It's gonna be pretty competitive for a while, but I do think Louisville just does have enough talent and they've got enough firepower with Lincoln Keenholds running that offense to take on the W there.
- 26:10SPEAKER_02: So we move on from that one.
- 26:12SPEAKER_02: Let's go into the next ranked team.
- 26:15SPEAKER_02: Number three, Notre Dame.
- 26:16SPEAKER_02: They take on Purdue on the road.
- 26:18SPEAKER_02: Purdue, bottom feeders of the Big Ten.
- 26:20SPEAKER_02: Notre Dame, one of the best teams in the country.
- 26:22SPEAKER_02: I think Notre Dame's just gonna run away with this one as well.
- 26:25SPEAKER_01: Notre Dame.
- 26:27SPEAKER_01: Thank you, Feihy.
- 26:28SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I mean, as much as I hate to say it, as Nordame doesn't even have a conference, but I mean they're gonna win that game.
- 26:36SPEAKER_03: Big FPS independent.
- 26:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean, I think there's a lot of people that agree they should join a conference.
- 26:42SPEAKER_02: Like join the Big Ten, join the ACC, do something, please.
- 26:45SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 26:45SPEAKER_02: But yeah, they're still regardless, one of the best teams in the country.
- 26:48SPEAKER_02: CJ Carr, like we mentioned earlier in the recap of week three, one of the best quarterbacks in the country as well.
- 26:54SPEAKER_02: So yeah, give us Notre Dame here.
- 26:57SPEAKER_02: We got a little bit of an interesting SEC matchup.
- 27:00SPEAKER_02: We got Oklahoma going on the road to take on number two Georgia.
- 27:03SPEAKER_02: Georgia opens his 14-point favorites here at 3 30.
- 27:06SPEAKER_02: Oklahoma's offense, non-existent.
- 27:09SPEAKER_03: So far.
- 27:11SPEAKER_02: He's looked rough, man.
- 27:12SPEAKER_02: And against that Georgia defense, he cannot play like that if they expect to win.
- 27:17SPEAKER_03: I 100% agree.
- 27:18SPEAKER_03: I think it was like a clip saying the other day that he heard the fans cheering, and that's why he decided to go throw it to the opening.
- 27:28SPEAKER_03: Oh, that's funny.
- 27:29SPEAKER_03: I mean, he's looked very bad.
- 27:30SPEAKER_03: He looked really bad against Michigan.
- 27:32SPEAKER_03: I mean, the offense looked really bad against Michigan, and I think Georgia's defense is a lot better than Michigan's defense.
- 27:39SPEAKER_03: So I think that game's gonna be quite I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if they lose by four plus scores there.
- 27:45SPEAKER_03: Four plus touchdowns in that game.
- 27:47SPEAKER_03: I mean, I think Georgia's just gonna stomp on them, really.
- 27:50SPEAKER_00: I don't agree.
- 27:51SPEAKER_00: I it's SEC football.
- 27:55SPEAKER_00: I'm not calling the upset.
- 27:56SPEAKER_00: I'm just saying Oklahoma is the best defense in the country.
- 27:59SPEAKER_00: Anything can happen, we have a good defense, you can shut a team down, who knows?
- 28:02SPEAKER_00: I think it's gonna be within seven points.
- 28:04SPEAKER_00: I don't think anybody blows out Oklahoma's defense.
- 28:07SPEAKER_02: You were saying that when Oklahoma was going into Michigan week that you thought Oklahoma did have the best defense in the country.
- 28:14SPEAKER_02: I thought that was a little bit of a stretch, but they are for sure a top unit in the country.
- 28:19SPEAKER_02: It is gonna be hard for Georgia to put up a ton of scores on them.
- 28:23SPEAKER_02: I agree, but I just think Georgia's gonna pull away.
- 28:26SPEAKER_02: I think I don't say necessarily four scores that they're gonna win.
- 28:29SPEAKER_02: I say it's more two or three, but Georgia's gonna win pretty handily.
- 28:32SPEAKER_02: So we got three Georgia picks so far.
- 28:34SPEAKER_02: Go Dog says nut.
- 28:35SPEAKER_01: Bahey.
- 28:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think this is gonna be another like classic Georgia game.
- 28:39SPEAKER_01: They're gonna come out flat.
- 28:40SPEAKER_01: Game is gonna be close, but they're just gonna pull away.
- 28:42SPEAKER_01: The Oklahoma offense just looks horrible.
- 28:44SPEAKER_01: And I you cannot take them in any game right now, especially against a top defensive unit in Georgia.
- 28:49SPEAKER_02: All right, we got the sweep across the board for Georgia.
- 28:52SPEAKER_02: Number four all miss at number 21, Florida.
- 28:55SPEAKER_02: This is gonna be an interesting one for sure.
- 28:57SPEAKER_02: Florida looked great offensively against Auburn last week, putting up 44 points.
- 29:02SPEAKER_02: They actually open as three and a half point favorites against the team that just beat LSU and Lane Kiffin.
- 29:09SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna be honest, what are we doing with the spread?
- 29:12SPEAKER_02: How is Florida the favorite here?
- 29:14SPEAKER_02: I know it's at the swamp, but how are you not favoring Will Miss in this game?
- 29:18SPEAKER_00: I've I saw a stat today on Instagram.
- 29:21SPEAKER_00: Teams that are ranked in the top five that are underdogs against lower ranked teams are 0-4.
- 29:28SPEAKER_00: What?
- 29:28SPEAKER_00: They're 0-4 in the games they're underdogs.
- 29:30SPEAKER_00: So I I'm thinking Florida.
- 29:32SPEAKER_00: I mean, I mean, the numbers don't lie.
- 29:35SPEAKER_03: I think Vegas knows something.
- 29:36SPEAKER_03: But Vegas knows what we know.
- 29:39SPEAKER_00: I mean, uh Vegas isn't getting screwed.
- 29:41SPEAKER_00: I know that.
- 29:41SPEAKER_00: I mean, there's some there's some reason that they had had the spread like this.
- 29:45SPEAKER_03: I mean, I don't know.
- 29:46SPEAKER_03: To be honest, I haven't watched much Florida football, but I mean Ole Miss looked really good.
- 29:50SPEAKER_03: I mean, I'm a big fan of Trinidad Chambers.
- 29:53SPEAKER_03: I mean, we've talked about that before the podcast started, but I mean, I'm taking Ole Miss personally, but being three and a half favorites.
- 30:01SPEAKER_03: Something's fishy.
- 30:02SPEAKER_03: I uh something's fishy.
- 30:04SPEAKER_03: Something's going on behind the scenes.
- 30:05SPEAKER_03: Maybe, maybe someone's got a tweak hamstring or something like that.
- 30:10SPEAKER_00: Lacey uh Lacey, Ole Miss running back, might be injured though.
- 30:14SPEAKER_02: Kawan Lacey, yes, you're right.
- 30:15SPEAKER_03: Because he did go he did go out in that LSU game.
- 30:18SPEAKER_03: You're right.
- 30:18SPEAKER_03: So that might be that might be a factor that that could be, you know, a rationale behind that spread, but um I just think that the way Ole Miss played, I mean, they played amazing against LSU.
- 30:31SPEAKER_03: And I I mean, I'm taking Ole Miss for this game for sure.
- 30:35SPEAKER_02: I I love Trinidad Chambliss just as much as you nut.
- 30:38SPEAKER_02: He's a local guy, went to Ferris State for years, played D2 football there, and transferred to Ole Miss.
- 30:43SPEAKER_02: He's been an amazing story throughout college football.
- 30:45SPEAKER_02: Ole Miss has a lot of firepower in that offense, but so does Florida.
- 30:50SPEAKER_02: And it is really hard to go into the swamp and win a football game.
- 30:55SPEAKER_02: I mean, we saw Texas fall victim to it last year.
- 30:58SPEAKER_02: They were a good Texas team.
- 30:59SPEAKER_02: They went on the road to a subpar Florida team.
- 31:02SPEAKER_02: They were not good at all last year, and they lost.
- 31:06SPEAKER_02: So with how talented Florida is this year, they've got a lot of firepower with Aaron Philo leading the charge at quarterback in that offense.
- 31:14SPEAKER_02: Jaden Baugh is a great running back that Florida's got.
- 31:17SPEAKER_02: I'm with Peyton.
- 31:18SPEAKER_02: Give me the Gators.
- 31:19SPEAKER_02: Give me the Gators.
- 31:20SPEAKER_02: Give me the Gators.
- 31:21SPEAKER_02: We got two Florida, one Ole Miss.
- 31:23SPEAKER_02: Faye, what do you got?
- 31:25SPEAKER_01: Um, well, you you said it's hard to come in and swap and win games, right?
- 31:29SPEAKER_01: It is.
- 31:30SPEAKER_01: Teams have been doing that for years, and I think Ole Miss is gonna do it again.
- 31:33SPEAKER_01: They look, I mean, they just face adversity going to LSU, playing LSU.
- 31:38SPEAKER_01: Oh, at home.
- 31:39SPEAKER_00: Well, I mean I mean a lot of emotion in that game, though.
- 31:42SPEAKER_00: I mean they use a lot, they lose a lot of firepower within that game.
- 31:47SPEAKER_00: I mean, they're gonna use it again.
- 31:49SPEAKER_00: Let's just call what this is a trap game.
- 31:51SPEAKER_00: You know, after a game like that where there's that much emotion, you're going to the next week and like another another average game.
- 31:57SPEAKER_00: That this is a trap game for all this.
- 32:00SPEAKER_01: Florida's favorite.
- 32:00SPEAKER_01: It's not even a trap game.
- 32:03SPEAKER_02: But I love the point you picked Ole Miss Faye.
- 32:06SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 32:06SPEAKER_02: I do love the point that Piritch just made, though.
- 32:09SPEAKER_02: You've got a big game that you just came off.
- 32:11SPEAKER_02: A huge win, high emotion.
- 32:13SPEAKER_02: Beat your former head coach that left you in the middle of the playoffs.
- 32:17SPEAKER_02: You're due for a letdown game the next week.
- 32:20SPEAKER_02: That's usually what happens with these big wins.
- 32:23SPEAKER_02: You're still high strong about the emotions from last week.
- 32:25SPEAKER_02: Then you have a letdown game the following week.
- 32:28SPEAKER_02: And usually it's against a weaker opponent.
- 32:29SPEAKER_02: You don't play great, and you still end up winning.
- 32:31SPEAKER_02: Florida's not a weak opponent.
- 32:32SPEAKER_02: That's why I think Florida's gonna come out on top here.
- 32:34SPEAKER_02: If Ole Miss comes out sluggish, Florida will take advantage and they will win this game.
- 32:38SPEAKER_02: So we got two Floridas and two Ole misses for that one.
- 32:41SPEAKER_02: Number 15 Utah at Iowa State here.
- 32:44SPEAKER_02: What do we got for this one?
- 32:45SPEAKER_02: Utah opens his eight and a half point favorites against the Cyclone.
- 32:48SPEAKER_00: I haven't watched a lot of Iowa State football.
- 32:50SPEAKER_00: I I mean last week did a recap of Iowa, Iowa State.
- 32:54SPEAKER_00: I'm expecting that they don't have a great offense, but they have a pretty good defense.
- 32:57SPEAKER_00: But Utah has just looked really good.
- 32:59SPEAKER_00: I'm taking Utah.
- 33:00SPEAKER_02: I agree.
- 33:01SPEAKER_02: I'll go with Utah here as well.
- 33:02SPEAKER_02: Devin Dampier's been a weapon so far.
- 33:05SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I haven't seen much of either.
- 33:06SPEAKER_03: Like Utah or Iowa State.
- 33:08SPEAKER_03: I haven't watched much football of either team, but I think that um I mean I'll probably take Utah here just from both being a ranked opponent.
- 33:16SPEAKER_03: I mean, it seems our ranked team.
- 33:18SPEAKER_03: Um also Iowa State losing against Iowa.
- 33:21SPEAKER_03: I mean, I think that Utah pulls it out here.
- 33:24SPEAKER_02: Alright, we got three Utahs.
- 33:25SPEAKER_02: Faye, what do you got?
- 33:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, possible a trap game, but I do not know enough to like say otherwise.
- 33:30SPEAKER_01: Give me Utah.
- 33:31SPEAKER_02: Alright.
- 33:31SPEAKER_02: Utah across the board.
- 33:33SPEAKER_02: Back to the local teams.
- 33:35SPEAKER_02: Big Ten game here.
- 33:36SPEAKER_02: Number 17 Iowa.
- 33:38SPEAKER_02: At number 18, Michigan.
- 33:40SPEAKER_02: Michigan opens as five and a half point favorites.
- 33:43SPEAKER_02: The over-under for this game is concerning.
- 33:45SPEAKER_02: 38 and a half, and I still think it might be less than that.
- 33:48SPEAKER_00: I mean, it could be 10-3.
- 33:49SPEAKER_00: I mean, who knows what's going to happen when these two teams play each other.
- 33:53SPEAKER_02: I mean, the last time Michigan and Iowa played at the big house, it was 10-3.
- 33:56SPEAKER_02: Michigan won 10-3, and Michigan's defense recorded eight sacks.
- 34:00SPEAKER_02: So yeah, it's going to be a defensive slug fest to say the least.
- 34:03SPEAKER_00: I think Michigan, it's a big loss.
- 34:05SPEAKER_00: I don't know for a fact if Jordan Marshall's not playing.
- 34:08SPEAKER_00: I think he's not going to play.
- 34:10SPEAKER_00: So if you can check me on that.
- 34:11SPEAKER_00: But Heider looked in the second half looked electric.
- 34:15SPEAKER_00: I think he's the more talented backer between them anyway.
- 34:18SPEAKER_00: Um Michigan's offense looked a lot better in the second half.
- 34:20SPEAKER_00: I think they carry on the momentum and they beat Iowa at home.
- 34:24SPEAKER_02: I agree.
- 34:24SPEAKER_02: I'll take Michigan in this one too in a defensive battle.
- 34:27SPEAKER_03: I'll be honest, I'm a I'm a big Michigan fan, okay?
- 34:31SPEAKER_03: I do lean Spartan, but I love my Wolverines.
- 34:34SPEAKER_03: I am not as confident in Michigan this game, this week.
- 34:39SPEAKER_03: I don't think now here's the thing.
- 34:42SPEAKER_03: Bryce Underwoods looked mediocre at best.
- 34:46SPEAKER_03: True.
- 34:46SPEAKER_03: And that's my biggest concern coming into that game.
- 34:49SPEAKER_03: Is you know if they're down, they're gonna have to throw the football.
- 34:52SPEAKER_00: And Iowa's gonna stack the line of scrimmage.
- 34:54SPEAKER_03: They will put it back.
- 34:55SPEAKER_03: They are going to put pressure under a young sophomore quarterback who's already getting flamed on Instagram, who's already getting flamed by analysts around the like ESPN and whatnot.
- 35:07SPEAKER_03: I think that pressure might get to Underwood a little bit.
- 35:10SPEAKER_03: So I won't be surprised.
- 35:12SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna take Iowa for this game because I don't know if Underwood's gonna be able to handle the pressure of a ranked game like that.
- 35:20SPEAKER_03: Obviously, he played mediocre against Oklahoma, right?
- 35:24SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 35:24SPEAKER_03: He's gonna have to play pretty good against Iowa being a conference matchup.
- 35:29SPEAKER_02: And a very high caliber defense.
- 35:30SPEAKER_02: Iowa consistently has one of the best defenses in the country.
- 35:33SPEAKER_02: I don't hate that pick.
- 35:34SPEAKER_02: I definitely agree.
- 35:35SPEAKER_02: Iowa could very easily come out on top of this game.
- 35:37SPEAKER_02: They take advantage of mistakes better than anybody else in the country.
- 35:40SPEAKER_03: We've made a lot of mistakes, too.
- 35:42SPEAKER_02: 100%.
- 35:42SPEAKER_02: So Peerich and I, we still got our Wolverines.
- 35:45SPEAKER_02: Nuts going with Iowa.
- 35:46SPEAKER_01: Hey Hey, what do you got?
- 35:47SPEAKER_01: I do I mean the pre-snap penalties just like gotta go.
- 35:50SPEAKER_01: Like unforced airs just feels like it's a lot of like what Michigan football is right now.
- 35:55SPEAKER_01: I mean, the fumbles, like pre-snap penalties, it's like it's lack of discipline.
- 35:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 36:00SPEAKER_01: And um, honestly, I got like the privilege to watch Bryce underwood in high school a little bit.
- 36:04SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna be honest, and he crumbled under pressure a lot.
- 36:08SPEAKER_02: Really?
- 36:09SPEAKER_01: A lot.
- 36:10SPEAKER_01: Give me Iowa.
- 36:12SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 36:12SPEAKER_02: Even Slate here.
- 36:14SPEAKER_02: Two Iowa's, two Michigans.
- 36:16SPEAKER_02: Moving into the next ranked game.
- 36:18SPEAKER_02: This one we don't need to talk about very much.
- 36:20SPEAKER_02: Number 25, Houston at Georgia Southern.
- 36:22SPEAKER_02: Houston's gonna win this game.
- 36:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Houston.
- 36:25SPEAKER_02: Move on.
- 36:25SPEAKER_02: Yeah, Houston moving on.
- 36:27SPEAKER_02: Nothing much to say.
- 36:28SPEAKER_02: Big ten play again.
- 36:29SPEAKER_02: Wisconsin at number 13, Penn State.
- 36:31SPEAKER_02: Penn State opens as 10-point favorites.
- 36:32SPEAKER_02: A little bit closer of a line than I thought it would be.
- 36:35SPEAKER_02: But I still think Penn State's gonna run away with this one.
- 36:37SPEAKER_02: Wisconsin just doesn't have the offense to keep up.
- 36:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Penn State's played pretty well to start the year.
- 36:42SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's impressive what the new coach can do for a team.
- 36:45SPEAKER_00: See at Michigan State.
- 36:47SPEAKER_00: Um yeah, I think I like Penn State.
- 36:49SPEAKER_02: Yep, we got two ninja lions here.
- 36:51SPEAKER_03: No, we got definitely lions with that one.
- 36:53SPEAKER_02: Penn State.
- 36:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Penn State.
- 36:56SPEAKER_02: Alright, simple enough.
- 36:57SPEAKER_02: This isn't a ranked game, but it's a local game.
- 36:59SPEAKER_02: Nebraska at Michigan State, Spartan Stadium.
- 37:01SPEAKER_02: This one could be interesting.
- 37:03SPEAKER_02: Nebraska Nebraska opens as five and a half point favorites.
- 37:06SPEAKER_02: But I I'm gonna be honest with you, I like Sparty here.
- 37:09SPEAKER_03: Yeah, the loss against you know Dylan Royola going to Oregon, going to be a backup.
- 37:13SPEAKER_03: I mean I like Sparty too at at you know MSU Stadium.
- 37:18SPEAKER_03: Spartan Stadium.
- 37:19SPEAKER_03: It's uh it's a hard venue to come in and win.
- 37:22SPEAKER_03: 100%.
- 37:23SPEAKER_03: And I mean, I've really liked MSU's coach.
- 37:26SPEAKER_03: I like I mean, we did we did end up losing against Notre Dame.
- 37:29SPEAKER_03: I we talked about it.
- 37:30SPEAKER_03: I like those three quarters of football that we played.
- 37:33SPEAKER_03: If we play like that, I think it's gonna be a good game for Sparty that week.
- 37:36SPEAKER_03: So I'll give me Sparty for that week.
- 37:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think Sparty's defense gets it done against Anthony Calandria and that Nebraska offense.
- 37:42SPEAKER_02: Uh Pierre.
- 37:44SPEAKER_00: Nebraska is a spot.
- 37:45SPEAKER_00: I mean, there was two years there when Matt Rule came and began to head to coach there.
- 37:49SPEAKER_00: The people thought Nebraska football was back.
- 37:51SPEAKER_00: They're not.
- 37:52SPEAKER_00: They're not back.
- 37:53SPEAKER_00: Um Michigan State has looked better in my opinion this year.
- 37:57SPEAKER_00: I really don't want to pick Michigan State, but I think I'm going to.
- 38:00SPEAKER_00: Give me Sparty.
- 38:01SPEAKER_02: Three Sparties so far, Feihy, what do you got?
- 38:03SPEAKER_01: Nebraska's face zero comp, and Michigan State has and Nordame, so give me Michigan State.
- 38:10SPEAKER_02: Fair enough.
- 38:11SPEAKER_02: Sweeper State.
- 38:12SPEAKER_02: No not much to talk about here either.
- 38:14SPEAKER_02: Number six, Miami taking on Central Michigan Chippewas at Hard Rock Stadium.
- 38:18SPEAKER_02: Miami's gonna win the game by 50.
- 38:20SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 38:21SPEAKER_03: Brutal.
- 38:22SPEAKER_03: Brutal.
- 38:23SPEAKER_03: Fire up chips.
- 38:24SPEAKER_01: I have a central mission sweating on too, man.
- 38:27SPEAKER_00: But uh yeah, make the call.
- 38:29SPEAKER_00: Come on, do it.
- 38:30SPEAKER_00: Come on, make it upset the week.
- 38:31SPEAKER_00: Upset of the week.
- 38:32SPEAKER_03: You gotta say it.
- 38:33SPEAKER_03: Come on.
- 38:33SPEAKER_01: You know what?
- 38:35SPEAKER_00: Fire up chips, baby.
- 38:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, I don't know.
- 38:38SPEAKER_01: There's been some fishy stuff going on in Miami.
- 38:41SPEAKER_01: I think some guys are getting suspended, you know.
- 38:43SPEAKER_02: Come on.
- 38:43SPEAKER_02: Fire up chips right now.
- 38:45SPEAKER_02: Central Michigan bat.
- 38:47SPEAKER_02: We've done it.
- 38:48SPEAKER_02: Upset of the week.
- 38:49SPEAKER_02: Chip laws over hurricanes.
- 38:51SPEAKER_02: Let's go, guys.
- 38:52SPEAKER_01: I take that back, Miami bat 50.
- 38:54SPEAKER_02: Oh, come on.
- 38:56SPEAKER_02: Oh, Faye.
- 38:57SPEAKER_02: You ruined the clip, man.
- 38:58SPEAKER_02: Got it.
- 38:59SPEAKER_02: Ruined the clip.
- 39:00SPEAKER_02: Got it.
- 39:00SPEAKER_01: You can edit it out.
- 39:01SPEAKER_01: It's okay.
- 39:02SPEAKER_02: Uh no, that's dang it.
- 39:04SPEAKER_02: Alright.
- 39:04SPEAKER_02: Back to the FCC here.
- 39:06SPEAKER_02: We got South Carolina traveling to number eight, Alabama.
- 39:08SPEAKER_02: They've looked explosive so far this year.
- 39:10SPEAKER_02: Keelan Russell and that Bama offense, he looks elite.
- 39:13SPEAKER_02: I like Bama in this one.
- 39:15SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I mean, I think Alabama's, you think about, you know, Mount Rushmore college football.
- 39:20SPEAKER_03: If Alabama's not, you know, they're one.
- 39:24SPEAKER_03: Yeah, they should be.
- 39:25SPEAKER_03: They're up there.
- 39:27SPEAKER_03: They're one of the top four programs ever.
- 39:29SPEAKER_03: Um, but behind Michigan.
- 39:32SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 39:33SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but I mean, that game's not gonna be close.
- 39:37SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, I agree.
- 39:38SPEAKER_00: South Carolina played a pretty good game against Mississippi State last week.
- 39:41SPEAKER_00: Um, unfortunately for them, Alabama and Mississippi State are not in the same tier.
- 39:45SPEAKER_00: Um, Alabama by two touchdowns.
- 39:47SPEAKER_02: All right, we got three Bamas.
- 39:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, make it a fourth.
- 39:51SPEAKER_02: Alright, Bama sweep.
- 39:53SPEAKER_02: We got three more ranked games to look at, so we're gonna save those for last.
- 39:56SPEAKER_02: Let's go to number 22 SMU posting Missouri State.
- 39:59SPEAKER_02: This is the last ranked on unranked game.
- 40:01SPEAKER_02: SMU should get a huge bounce back here over Missouri State.
- 40:05SPEAKER_02: I got SMU.
- 40:07SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I do too.
- 40:08SPEAKER_03: They look good against Louisville.
- 40:09SPEAKER_03: Tough loss there, but uh I think they're gonna come out pretty fired up after that loss against Louisville and just lay the hammer down.
- 40:17SPEAKER_03: For sure.
- 40:17SPEAKER_00: I'm not a huge SMU believer, but um they're playing Missouri State.
- 40:21SPEAKER_00: It's Missouri State.
- 40:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, talent level wise, they're gonna go and handle business there.
- 40:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of SMU either, but I still have to take SMU because I mean I don't even know what Missouri State's like mass dot is.
- 40:35SPEAKER_02: So again, it's Missouri State.
- 40:37SPEAKER_02: SMU should take care of it.
- 40:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 40:39SPEAKER_02: Alright, sweep for SMU.
- 40:40SPEAKER_02: Three more rank match three more ranked on ranked matchups, and then we'll move into NFL.
- 40:44SPEAKER_02: Number 23 Texas AM after their brutal upset loss to Kentucky going on going on the road to Death Valley to play LSU.
- 40:52SPEAKER_02: I mean, I don't know, man.
- 40:54SPEAKER_02: This is just a giant question mark of a game for me because Texas AM, they've got that potential to be so good with Marcel Reid under center.
- 41:02SPEAKER_02: But after losing to Kentucky, it's kind of hard to have faith in them now.
- 41:05SPEAKER_02: I got LSU.
- 41:09SPEAKER_00: Alright, um, so here's the thing about Texas AM.
- 41:12SPEAKER_00: They're they're they're have a great roster.
- 41:14SPEAKER_00: Every year they have a great roster.
- 41:16SPEAKER_00: LSU with Lane Kiffin as a coach, you're gonna see really how this team responds to the way that Lane Kiffin has coached him down there.
- 41:24SPEAKER_00: Because his personality, Lane Kiffin, is if anything, like if anything goes bad, he kind of just leaves.
- 41:30SPEAKER_00: Like so is he gonna establish a good culture there, or is he actually gonna just, you know, his negative traits portray him onto his team.
- 41:38SPEAKER_00: I actually kind of like Tech C and M.
- 41:40SPEAKER_00: I think they're gonna get a big bounce back on it.
- 41:41SPEAKER_02: Huge bounce back.
- 41:42SPEAKER_00: I I I agree with you, Peyton.
- 41:44SPEAKER_03: Okay, I agree with him for a different reason.
- 41:46SPEAKER_03: What's that?
- 41:47SPEAKER_03: I think that LSU lost a couple key players in that old miss game due to injuries.
- 41:52SPEAKER_03: We talked about that earlier.
- 41:53SPEAKER_03: Trade as green.
- 41:54SPEAKER_03: Trade as green, right?
- 41:55SPEAKER_03: Sam Lovitt played banged up.
- 41:57SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 41:57SPEAKER_03: He's banged up too.
- 41:58SPEAKER_03: He's probably still, you know, we know the brutality of college football.
- 42:02SPEAKER_03: Okay, you come out of against a ranked opponent, a, you know, a slug fest game like that.
- 42:08SPEAKER_03: I think they're gonna come out flat.
- 42:09SPEAKER_03: And if Texas AM can have a good first half and play good quarter four quarters of football, I would not be surprised if they pull out this one against LSU.
- 42:18SPEAKER_03: Give me AM here.
- 42:19SPEAKER_00: And I I think Kentucky's a good team.
- 42:21SPEAKER_00: They are solid.
- 42:22SPEAKER_00: They are they they played Alabama tough for three quarters, and Alabama has looked really good this season.
- 42:26SPEAKER_00: I think that they should be I don't know if they are ranked, yeah.
- 42:29SPEAKER_00: They're not, but I think they should be ranked, and I think at least receive votes, yeah.
- 42:34SPEAKER_00: That Texas AM team isn't I mean, that wasn't that bad of a loss.
- 42:37SPEAKER_00: It was not a great loss, but it wasn't that bad of a loss.
- 42:40SPEAKER_02: Behey, what do you got?
- 42:41SPEAKER_02: If Nutt and Peer Rich have Texas AM, I am the only one with LSU so far.
- 42:44SPEAKER_02: Who do you got?
- 42:45SPEAKER_02: Man, I'm conflicted.
- 42:47SPEAKER_02: Um I mean, you should be.
- 42:48SPEAKER_02: This is a coin flip of a game.
- 42:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but I mean, just I feel like I don't think they're gonna come out flat.
- 42:54SPEAKER_01: I just feel like Lane Kiffin is gonna be on the players, like truly just like, yeah, we cannot have this happen again.
- 43:00SPEAKER_01: We need to come out here firing.
- 43:01SPEAKER_01: We cannot get embarrassed again on national TV.
- 43:04SPEAKER_01: I do think LSU will pull this out, and I think just mainly because like that's that's a tough loss to take last week, and you gotta bounce back from that.
- 43:11SPEAKER_01: Otherwise, the season's gonna be over here pretty quickly.
- 43:13SPEAKER_02: They got the Tigers?
- 43:14SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 43:15SPEAKER_02: All right, two LSU, two Texas AM.
- 43:17SPEAKER_02: Back to the Big Ten.
- 43:18SPEAKER_02: Number 20, Oregon.
- 43:20SPEAKER_02: Going on the road to take on number 12 USC.
- 43:22SPEAKER_02: Both these teams have looked incredibly sketchy this year.
- 43:25SPEAKER_02: I mean, Oregon losing to Oklahoma State a couple weeks ago.
- 43:28SPEAKER_02: USC only beat Rutgers by seven.
- 43:31SPEAKER_02: I mean, what's going on out west?
- 43:34SPEAKER_00: I mean, I don't know how to feel.
- 43:36SPEAKER_00: I was last week I literally said that I think USC could win the Big Ten.
- 43:40SPEAKER_00: Not after that game.
- 43:41SPEAKER_00: And then last week I don't know if they could I mean I don't know if they're gonna have more than eight wins.
- 43:45SPEAKER_00: So Yeah.
- 43:46SPEAKER_02: Ugh.
- 43:46SPEAKER_02: Rough's rough stuff against Rutgers.
- 43:48SPEAKER_00: But Oregon, I mean, they have they have the roster, they have the talent.
- 43:52SPEAKER_00: I think USC's defense is not good enough.
- 43:54SPEAKER_00: I'm taking Oregon.
- 43:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think Oregon's got plenty of offensive firepower.
- 43:58SPEAKER_02: Dante Moore calling.
- 44:00SPEAKER_02: The shots.
- 44:01SPEAKER_02: He's gonna be able to lead the charge.
- 44:03SPEAKER_02: Decorian Moore out out wide, one of their best receivers.
- 44:06SPEAKER_02: And like you said, USC essentially has like a non-existent defense.
- 44:09SPEAKER_02: I think Oregon's gonna put up 40 points and they're gonna win this one.
- 44:12SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I'm I'm with Oregon too.
- 44:13SPEAKER_03: I'm a big Dante Moore fan.
- 44:15SPEAKER_03: Um, I think he's one of the best quarterbacks, if not the best quarterback in college football.
- 44:19SPEAKER_03: Um obviously, Ty he's gonna be a round one draft pick if he declares this year.
- 44:25SPEAKER_03: Um yeah, give me Oregon for this game.
- 44:28SPEAKER_01: We got three Oregon so far, Faye.
- 44:30SPEAKER_01: What do you got?
- 44:30SPEAKER_01: They just put up 84 points.
- 44:32SPEAKER_01: I don't care who it's against.
- 44:33SPEAKER_01: Firepower.
- 44:34SPEAKER_01: 84 points is 84 points, Demi Orton.
- 44:37SPEAKER_03: Yeah, they're all D1 athletes, right?
- 44:38SPEAKER_03: They're all D1 players.
- 44:40SPEAKER_03: That's a lot of points, man.
- 44:41SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 44:42SPEAKER_02: All right.
- 44:43SPEAKER_02: Last game for the College Football Slate, and then we'll move into quick NFL.
- 44:46SPEAKER_02: Number 19, Missouri at a shocking number 24, Mississippi State.
- 44:50SPEAKER_02: Mississippi State opens a six and a half point favorites.
- 44:53SPEAKER_02: Comario Taylor, one of the Heisman favorites right now in the country.
- 44:56SPEAKER_02: He's been electric this year.
- 44:58SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna go with the Bulldogs.
- 45:00SPEAKER_02: Mississippi State gets the W.
- 45:02SPEAKER_03: I completely agree with you.
- 45:03SPEAKER_03: I think Missouri every year just underperforms.
- 45:06SPEAKER_02: They're usually bottom end of the top 25, and they never really ascend very high.
- 45:10SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 45:11SPEAKER_03: And I like I said, I think that the Bulldogs are hot right now.
- 45:14SPEAKER_03: I mean, you guys you gotta pick the team that's you know Mississippi State, you think about baseball when you think about Mississippi State, right?
- 45:21SPEAKER_03: You don't think about football.
- 45:22SPEAKER_03: And I think that now they're starting to get that kind of respect within college football.
- 45:26SPEAKER_03: I think they're just gonna keep riding and keep getting hot.
- 45:29SPEAKER_03: So I think I think the Bulldogs do pull this one out.
- 45:32SPEAKER_00: I think we have a chance for a Heisman moment for Mario Taylor.
- 45:36SPEAKER_00: But like he wasn't expected to be in this race.
- 45:38SPEAKER_00: He's top four last time I checked.
- 45:41SPEAKER_00: I'm taking Mississippi State.
- 45:43SPEAKER_00: I think he has his Heisman moment.
- 45:45SPEAKER_02: Three Bulldogs.
- 45:46SPEAKER_02: Beahy, you're the last one.
- 45:48SPEAKER_01: I didn't I expect either of these teams to have a chance at being four and oh, but Mississippi State has looked great.
- 45:53SPEAKER_01: Averaging 47 points per game.
- 45:56SPEAKER_01: Truly unheard of.
- 45:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 45:57SPEAKER_01: Give me Mississippi State.
- 45:59SPEAKER_02: Wow, all of us picked the Bulldogs.
- 46:01SPEAKER_02: I'm a little shocked that nobody picked Missouri, because Missouri is still a solid team.
- 46:05SPEAKER_02: But I mean, Camario Taylor is almost too much to handle.
- 46:07SPEAKER_03: So he's been playing it out of his mind.
- 46:10SPEAKER_02: Alright, moving on to NFL.
- 46:12SPEAKER_02: Run through these real quick.
- 46:13SPEAKER_02: Thursday night football, Falcons at Packers.
- 46:15SPEAKER_02: Packers should run away with this one.
- 46:17SPEAKER_02: The Falcons have a big quarterback problem.
- 46:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 46:19SPEAKER_03: I mean, Michael Pennyx, I mean, I believe he's starting on He is gonna play.
- 46:24SPEAKER_03: He is gonna play.
- 46:25SPEAKER_03: Hopefully Drake London gets some targets, man.
- 46:27SPEAKER_03: But uh But um yeah, I mean it should be.
- 46:31SPEAKER_03: I mean, it's a dumpster fire in Atlanta right now, football-wise, so I think it's gonna be a pretty easy Packers win.
- 46:38SPEAKER_03: Although the Jets did give them a run for their money last week.
- 46:41SPEAKER_03: Um, I think it's gonna be a close game, but I do think the Packers are gonna pull out here.
- 46:45SPEAKER_00: I mean, you're talking about a dumpster fire and you're and you're not talking about the Ray Packers.
- 46:50SPEAKER_00: It's true.
- 46:50SPEAKER_00: I mean, Deb, they're starting running back on the commissioners most nine year play.
- 46:54SPEAKER_00: I mean, they played two of the worst Green Bay football games I've seen in years.
- 47:00SPEAKER_00: They're starting quarterback back.
- 47:02SPEAKER_00: Look at that.
- 47:02SPEAKER_00: They're starting quarterback back against a team that's played.
- 47:04SPEAKER_03: I mean, yeah, you did have B Johnson.
- 47:09SPEAKER_03: Outpit.
- 47:10SPEAKER_00: They're gonna go into Lambeau and win this game.
- 47:12SPEAKER_02: Taking the Falcons after they just lost 34-3 to the Panthers is something.
- 47:17SPEAKER_00: It's not the same, though.
- 47:18SPEAKER_02: Alright.
- 47:19SPEAKER_02: Oh, we got B-Ridge taking a strike with the Falcons.
- 47:22SPEAKER_02: Nut and I have the Packers.
- 47:23SPEAKER_02: Fayhey, who you got?
- 47:24SPEAKER_01: I like scrolled through 10 minutes of Cooper Rush hateful tweets on Twitter.
- 47:30SPEAKER_01: And to be honest, there's multiple reasons why he's just frankly just awful.
- 47:35SPEAKER_01: Like, you should never touch a football field ever again.
- 47:38SPEAKER_01: So that I will take the Falcons here.
- 47:40SPEAKER_01: B John's due for a bounce back game.
- 47:41SPEAKER_01: He did not have a dead game last week.
- 47:43SPEAKER_01: Drake London.
- 47:45SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh.
- 47:46SPEAKER_02: Tell him how you really feel fake.
- 47:48SPEAKER_02: That's brutal for Yeah, give me the Falcons.
- 47:50SPEAKER_02: You're wearing a central Michigan hoodie right now.
- 47:52SPEAKER_02: Cooper Rush went there.
- 47:54SPEAKER_02: You can't be talking back to the Cooper Russian.
- 47:56SPEAKER_01: He's a disgrace to the school.
- 47:58SPEAKER_00: I'm sure he's lovely, by the way.
- 48:00SPEAKER_00: Disclaimer, I'm sure he's a lovely human being.
- 48:02SPEAKER_00: Not a great quarterback in the NFL.
- 48:05SPEAKER_02: The Cooper Rush hates crazy.
- 48:07SPEAKER_01: Give me nine over Cooper Rush.
- 48:09SPEAKER_02: Alright, we got two Falcons, two Packers.
- 48:12SPEAKER_02: Moving on to the Sunday slate.
- 48:13SPEAKER_02: Chargers at Bills.
- 48:14SPEAKER_02: What's going on in LA?
- 48:16SPEAKER_02: They look horrible right now.
- 48:17SPEAKER_02: Madison Beer effect.
- 48:19SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah.
- 48:20SPEAKER_02: Justin Herbert has not been himself for sure.
- 48:22SPEAKER_02: But uh yeah, give me the Bills here.
- 48:24SPEAKER_02: Dominate the Chargers.
- 48:25SPEAKER_00: I'm taking the Bills, but it it really does feel like a game the Bills would just randomly lose.
- 48:30SPEAKER_00: I mean, the Chargers still have I mean they're still have a good roster.
- 48:33SPEAKER_00: Um And the Bills still don't have a very good secondary.
- 48:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's I mean it's just a random game the Bills could lose, but I think this is the Bills year.
- 48:39SPEAKER_00: I think I have them actually to win the whole thing.
- 48:41SPEAKER_00: I think they're one of the super.
- 48:43SPEAKER_00: Give me the Bills.
- 48:43SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I'm going for the Bills too.
- 48:45SPEAKER_03: Um Josh Allen's looked really good.
- 48:48SPEAKER_03: Chargers defense looked mediocre at best, and Justin Herbert has not looked good this year.
- 48:55SPEAKER_03: Not at all.
- 48:56SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I think that the Bills are gonna, you know, pull away from this one.
- 49:01SPEAKER_03: Beijy, Bills?
- 49:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, the Chargers team is full of ifs.
- 49:05SPEAKER_01: Giant ifs.
- 49:06SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 49:06SPEAKER_00: That team could start 0-8 this year.
- 49:08SPEAKER_00: If you're scheduled, they could start 0-8.
- 49:10SPEAKER_03: They have one of the hardest schedules in the NFL.
- 49:13SPEAKER_01: But again, the Bills do lose a bunch of games randomly, but I still gotta take the Bills here, but I am scared of being wrong.
- 49:20SPEAKER_02: Well, I I don't think you'll be wrong.
- 49:22SPEAKER_02: I don't think you'll be wrong.
- 49:23SPEAKER_02: I think the Bills will be just fine in that game at High Mark Stadium.
- 49:25SPEAKER_02: I think the Bills come out on top.
- 49:27SPEAKER_02: Panthers at Browns.
- 49:29SPEAKER_02: The Browns won last week.
- 49:31SPEAKER_02: So I would say easy W for the Panthers here, but I mean the Browns did beat the Buccaneers, and they're not a bad theme either.
- 49:37SPEAKER_02: So I will still take the Panthers, but it won't be easy.
- 49:40SPEAKER_00: I think the Panthers' offense has looked really good this year.
- 49:43SPEAKER_00: Um I just don't think the Browns have the playmakers to be able to score enough points to beat them.
- 49:48SPEAKER_00: I'm taking the Panthers.
- 49:49SPEAKER_03: Browns' defense looks look look good against the uh the Buccaneers.
- 49:53SPEAKER_02: Um addition to Jared Verse has made an impact for sure.
- 49:57SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I mean obviously he's not Miles Garrett, but uh right, but they I mean they've looked they've looked good on defense.
- 50:03SPEAKER_03: Um It depends on what type of Bryce Young we get, to be honest.
- 50:08SPEAKER_03: I mean, sometimes Bryce Young looks like one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, and sometimes Bryce Young looks like a bottom ten quarterback in the NFL, but I think that he's been playing good lately, and I think that the Panthers actually are they might make a run for uh you know playoff contention this week.
- 50:22SPEAKER_00: Somebody has to win the division.
- 50:25SPEAKER_03: It's the worst division, it's the worst division in football by far, and so I think the Panthers are actually the best team in that division right now, so I'm gonna go take the Panthers for this game.
- 50:33SPEAKER_02: Three Panthers so far, Fehi.
- 50:34SPEAKER_02: What you got?
- 50:35SPEAKER_01: I actually disagree with the earlier comment you made, Nov.
- 50:38SPEAKER_01: Uh the Buccaneers are not a good team.
- 50:40SPEAKER_01: The managers just agreed.
- 50:42SPEAKER_01: It's just a dumpster fire of a team right now.
- 50:45SPEAKER_01: Management's horrible.
- 50:46SPEAKER_01: Ty Bulls needs to get the hell like head down there.
- 50:50SPEAKER_02: It's all good.
- 50:50SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah, so give me the Panthers.
- 50:53SPEAKER_01: I mean, the Browns just, I mean, Deshaun Watson's never doing that again in his life.
- 50:57unknown: Yeah.
- 50:57SPEAKER_03: And I also think like we talked about like weakness in divisions.
- 51:00SPEAKER_03: I think I think that AFC division's also looking pretty weak right now as well, too.
- 51:05SPEAKER_03: AFC North is not looking good.
- 51:07SPEAKER_03: I mean, they aren't looking great right now either.
- 51:10SPEAKER_03: So um, yeah, I think the Panthers are gonna go pull this one out.
- 51:15SPEAKER_02: Alright, all got the Panthers here.
- 51:18SPEAKER_02: We got our Lions now, hosting the Jets.
- 51:20SPEAKER_02: This better be a bounce back W for Detroit.
- 51:22SPEAKER_02: I got the Lions.
- 51:23SPEAKER_02: They just they gotta execute.
- 51:27SPEAKER_00: Feels like a big game for us because we uh if we lose this one, we're gonna be way behind in the NFC North.
- 51:33SPEAKER_03: You're in deep trouble.
- 51:34SPEAKER_00: You don't want to get to a place where you it's winner go home late in the season NFC North, because every team you're gonna play is gonna be good.
- 51:40SPEAKER_00: Um I think the Lions do handle business this week.
- 51:44SPEAKER_03: I do think the Lions are gonna pull this one out, but I don't think it's gonna be as easy as they thought it was.
- 51:47SPEAKER_03: I mean, Aaron Glenn, again, we talk about games with former coaches.
- 51:52SPEAKER_03: I mean, there's gotta be some sort of emotion there for Lions players, even though it's a more professional setting than college football, and Aaron Glenn was a lot more professional about leaving Detroit than Kiffin was with Ole Miss, but uh or uh but um I think that the Lions are gonna win, but I think it's gonna be a pretty close game.
- 52:09SPEAKER_03: I think it's gonna be within one or two scores there.
- 52:12SPEAKER_02: It'll be competitive for sure.
- 52:13SPEAKER_02: Bey, you got our Lions or you got the Jets here?
- 52:16SPEAKER_01: Um I got the Lions.
- 52:18SPEAKER_01: It's a must-win game.
- 52:19SPEAKER_02: You don't you don't want to say must-win game this early, but it sure does feel like that.
- 52:24SPEAKER_01: It's the Jets.
- 52:24SPEAKER_01: It's a must-win game.
- 52:25SPEAKER_01: Even though they just have been good this year.
- 52:27SPEAKER_01: Okay, that's the thing.
- 52:27SPEAKER_01: The Jets haven't looked bad at all, but they're one of the easier teams on a schedule.
- 52:31SPEAKER_01: So we gotta take the Lions.
- 52:32SPEAKER_01: That is fair.
- 52:33SPEAKER_01: And it's also it's still the Jets.
- 52:35SPEAKER_02: All right, division matchup here, Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts at Indianapolis.
- 52:40SPEAKER_02: Who do we got here?
- 52:41SPEAKER_02: Indianapolis is 0-2, and they desperately need a win.
- 52:43SPEAKER_03: Sauce Gardner get his first win in the United States.
- 52:47SPEAKER_02: Both both of these teams desperately need a win.
- 52:50SPEAKER_02: They're both 0-2.
- 52:51SPEAKER_02: They need it bad.
- 52:52SPEAKER_02: But yeah, the Sauce Gardner finally get a win in the States.
- 52:54SPEAKER_03: Does he finally get his win?
- 52:56SPEAKER_03: Um, yeah, I think the Colts are gonna win this one.
- 52:58SPEAKER_03: I mean, the Texans looked okay.
- 53:00SPEAKER_02: Um they're still waiting on that Super Bowl caliber defense to actually come into effect, though.
- 53:04SPEAKER_02: Because people were saying we got a great defense this year.
- 53:06SPEAKER_02: They're gonna have a great defense, Super Bowl caliber defense.
- 53:08SPEAKER_02: They haven't shown up yet.
- 53:10SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I think the Colts are, I mean, they have a lot of good weapons.
- 53:14SPEAKER_03: You have TJ Warren, you um Daniel Jones.
- 53:16SPEAKER_03: I mean, he's Daniel Jones, but sometimes we get good Danny Danny Dimes, and sometimes we get bad Danny Dimes.
- 53:21SPEAKER_03: Danny Dimes played good against Kansas City.
- 53:23SPEAKER_03: That's what I'm saying.
- 53:23SPEAKER_03: Like it depends on and the games are competitive.
- 53:26SPEAKER_03: I mean, you're playing Kansas City and you're 33 to 30.
- 53:29SPEAKER_03: Um in overtime.
- 53:31SPEAKER_03: In overtime, it's like you're we played a good game.
- 53:33SPEAKER_03: Jonathan Taylor's a beast, so I think that I think the Colts are gonna bounce back and win this game.
- 53:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I sure I got indie as well.
- 53:40SPEAKER_00: I have two letters for you.
- 53:42SPEAKER_00: JT.
- 53:43SPEAKER_00: I think that guy's gonna take over the game.
- 53:45SPEAKER_00: Houston's defense has not come to play this year.
- 53:47SPEAKER_00: They just haven't.
- 53:48SPEAKER_00: And obviously the offensive struggles in Houston, they started 0-3 last year.
- 53:52SPEAKER_00: I haven't started 0-3 again this year.
- 53:54SPEAKER_02: Alright.
- 53:55SPEAKER_01: He took the words right out of my mouth, man.
- 53:57SPEAKER_01: JT?
- 53:59SPEAKER_01: I mean, no, I'm talking about like they started 0-3 again last year.
- 54:02SPEAKER_01: They're gonna start 0-3 this year.
- 54:05SPEAKER_01: And just like even the defensive struggles and the offensive struggles.
- 54:09SPEAKER_01: CJ Stroud, man.
- 54:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, rough.
- 54:11SPEAKER_00: I will say though, if Nico Collins does play, he's questionable, I believe.
- 54:16SPEAKER_00: If he does play, it could help out the offense, but I they just haven't done enough to be able to take him.
- 54:22SPEAKER_01: Keyword, if.
- 54:23SPEAKER_02: If.
- 54:24SPEAKER_02: You're a big man on ifs, aren't you, Faye?
- 54:26SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 54:27SPEAKER_02: Alright, well, we all got Indianapolis so far in this one.
- 54:32SPEAKER_02: Kansas City and Miami.
- 54:34SPEAKER_02: Who do we got here?
- 54:35SPEAKER_02: This one should be relatively simple.
- 54:38SPEAKER_02: Kansas City here.
- 54:39SPEAKER_02: Miami is not good.
- 54:40SPEAKER_02: This might be the worst team we've seen in a long time in the NFL.
- 54:43SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 54:43SPEAKER_03: I think Kansas City is just Mahomes is looking like Mahomes.
- 54:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah, Mahomes is definitely back.
- 54:48SPEAKER_02: It looks like that knee's not bothering at all.
- 54:50SPEAKER_00: It's the black magic, man.
- 54:51SPEAKER_00: They're back.
- 54:52SPEAKER_00: The devil magic.
- 54:53SPEAKER_00: As SSR as well.
- 54:55SPEAKER_00: The devil magic is back.
- 54:56SPEAKER_00: The devil magic is back.
- 54:57SPEAKER_00: As bad as it is to say, I think Kansas City is gonna be uh contenders again this year.
- 55:01SPEAKER_00: They're not losing to Miami.
- 55:03SPEAKER_00: Nope.
- 55:03SPEAKER_03: Kansas City Bills EFC Championship game.
- 55:06SPEAKER_02: One more time.
- 55:07SPEAKER_02: Why not for the fun of it?
- 55:09SPEAKER_02: Faye got the Chiefs.
- 55:10SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 55:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's pretty pretty simple there.
- 55:13SPEAKER_02: This one might be a stinker of the game.
- 55:16SPEAKER_02: The Titans at the Giants.
- 55:17SPEAKER_02: The Giants banged up.
- 55:19SPEAKER_02: Malik Neighbors not fully healthy.
- 55:20SPEAKER_02: Jackson Dart out for the season.
- 55:22SPEAKER_02: The Titans are just bad.
- 55:24SPEAKER_02: So what's this game gonna look like, guys?
- 55:27SPEAKER_03: Famous Jameis.
- 55:28SPEAKER_03: Famous Jameis.
- 55:30SPEAKER_03: Famous Jameis.
- 55:31SPEAKER_03: I think this is gonna be a Jameis Winston game that we look back on and he's gonna throw two picks, but also throw for 400 yards and four touchdowns.
- 55:41SPEAKER_00: If Jameis Winston has a whole week to prepare as a starter, we know he can sling it.
- 55:45SPEAKER_00: Like he can.
- 55:47SPEAKER_00: And it's against a defense that's not too not very good.
- 55:50SPEAKER_00: I think he's eating a crab leg and walking out of there.
- 55:52SPEAKER_00: He's gonna eat the W.
- 55:53SPEAKER_00: He's eating that.
- 55:54SPEAKER_02: He's gonna eat the W on the way out.
- 55:56SPEAKER_02: I got the Giants as well just because the Titans are just purely terrible.
- 55:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 55:59SPEAKER_02: What do you got, Faye?
- 56:00SPEAKER_01: Um, I'm actually gonna take the Titans with this one.
- 56:03SPEAKER_01: I'm being honest.
- 56:03SPEAKER_01: Really?
- 56:04SPEAKER_01: Jameis Winston.
- 56:05SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I love the guy.
- 56:06SPEAKER_01: He just frankly looked unplayable the other day.
- 56:08SPEAKER_01: And honestly, I mean the Rams, though.
- 56:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah, the Rams are a good defense.
- 56:12SPEAKER_01: Right, but I mean, who's he gonna throw the ball to?
- 56:15SPEAKER_02: Other than Malik Neighbors, I mean Malik Neighbors is not even himself.
- 56:19SPEAKER_02: Malik Neighbors isn't fully healthy.
- 56:20SPEAKER_02: Isaiah likely, Peyton was talking about earlier, banged up a little bit against LA.
- 56:25SPEAKER_02: So, I mean, you got a point there.
- 56:26SPEAKER_01: He loves to sling the ball.
- 56:27SPEAKER_01: He's got to sling the ball to someone, and I mean, just limited it out there.
- 56:31SPEAKER_01: Give me the Titans.
- 56:32SPEAKER_02: Just hand the ball to Cam Scadaboo and hope for the best.
- 56:34SPEAKER_01: And average three yards of cherry and get you nine fancy points.
- 56:37SPEAKER_02: Three yards and a cloud of dust.
- 56:38SPEAKER_02: Three yards and a cloud of dust, man.
- 56:40SPEAKER_02: AFC North matchup.
- 56:42SPEAKER_02: Division's looking rough, like we mentioned already.
- 56:44SPEAKER_02: Bengals and Steelers.
- 56:46SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna have to go with the Bengals in this one.
- 56:47SPEAKER_02: Steelers looked awful.
- 56:48SPEAKER_02: They looked horrible.
- 56:50SPEAKER_03: Aaron Rodgers.
- 56:51SPEAKER_03: I think we're talking, it's time to hang him up, man.
- 56:53SPEAKER_02: Um that's why he's doing it after the season.
- 56:55SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 56:56SPEAKER_03: But he's he's done.
- 56:58SPEAKER_03: You can tell he's checked out a little bit.
- 56:59SPEAKER_03: But Steelers defense, we talk about the Steelers' defense kind of, you know, carrying they've let 20 points up with Drake May not playing like Drake May.
- 57:09SPEAKER_03: Drake May has not been himself.
- 57:11SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 57:11SPEAKER_03: So I mean you're letting up 20 points when Drake May's not throwing for three touchdowns.
- 57:17SPEAKER_03: That's an issue, right?
- 57:18SPEAKER_03: So I think that the Steelers defense, combined with their offensive struggles with DK Metcalf and and Aaron Rodgers, I think that this is a clear and cut that the Steelers are gonna lose this game.
- 57:29SPEAKER_03: And you know, Bengals look good too.
- 57:31SPEAKER_03: Hopefully, Jamar Chase puts up 40.
- 57:33SPEAKER_02: Peyton, we got two Bengals so far.
- 57:36SPEAKER_00: The Steelers O line, man, just look terrible.
- 57:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 57:39SPEAKER_00: I mean, Aaron Rodgers took some hits that were I mean, I can't believe he got back up and played.
- 57:44SPEAKER_02: I mean, the one where he just got both edge rushers just sandwiched him, man.
- 57:48SPEAKER_00: That was brutal.
- 57:50SPEAKER_00: This is a this is a must-win game for the Steelers if they want to be a playoff team.
- 57:53SPEAKER_00: It just is.
- 57:54SPEAKER_00: The Bengals' defense has looked vastly improved.
- 57:57SPEAKER_00: I've been really impressed with how they looked.
- 57:59SPEAKER_00: And even their offense has sparted a little bit for what we're used to from the Bengals, but I think they're gonna get that on track, and I'm taking the Bengals.
- 58:06SPEAKER_02: Dexter Lawrence has picked up the slack with that Bengals defense, though.
- 58:09SPEAKER_02: That addition of sexy dexy has been huge for Cincinnati.
- 58:13SPEAKER_02: They picked up the slack, but the offense has kind of dropped a little bit.
- 58:16SPEAKER_02: So we got three Bengals so far.
- 58:17SPEAKER_02: Faye.
- 58:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Dexter Lawrence is a true edge factor in Cincinnati.
- 58:22SPEAKER_02: No question.
- 58:22SPEAKER_02: Huge on that front four.
- 58:23SPEAKER_01: Uh yeah, I mean, Aaron Rodgers shouldn't be alive at this point.
- 58:27SPEAKER_01: Give me the Bengals.
- 58:28SPEAKER_01: I mean, I don't know about that, but I mean he took some shots, dude.
- 58:33SPEAKER_02: He got smoked against New England.
- 58:35SPEAKER_02: We got a sweep of the Bengals here.
- 58:37SPEAKER_02: This one is pretty self-explanatory.
- 58:39SPEAKER_02: Seahawks at Commanders.
- 58:40SPEAKER_02: Commanders are without Jaden Daniels.
- 58:42SPEAKER_02: The Seahawks are the defending Super Bowl champs.
- 58:44SPEAKER_02: Give me Seattle here.
- 58:45SPEAKER_02: Even without Sam Darnold.
- 58:47SPEAKER_03: I mean, how good has Drew Locke been playing, man?
- 58:50SPEAKER_03: Like, he will not be a Seahawk next year.
- 58:53SPEAKER_03: He will go get a starting job.
- 58:55SPEAKER_03: This is like Nick Foles right now.
- 58:57SPEAKER_03: This is what this is rhyme, man.
- 58:58SPEAKER_03: Nick Foles with the Philadelphia Eagles.
- 59:00SPEAKER_03: Like this, Drew Locke's been playing out of his mind.
- 59:03SPEAKER_02: He's been insane.
- 59:04SPEAKER_02: And I mean, when you have Jackson Smith and Jigba to throw the ball to, that helps.
- 59:08SPEAKER_03: It's hard when you have the Emerald City route artist.
- 59:10SPEAKER_00: Emerald City Route artist.
- 59:13SPEAKER_00: I will say Marcus Mariota fits that scheme really, really well.
- 59:18SPEAKER_00: And if it was against any other team, I might consider the commanders, but the Seahawks have just looked far and away.
- 59:24SPEAKER_00: If not the best, they're one of the contending teams in the NFL.
- 59:28SPEAKER_00: And without Jaden Daniels, the Seahawks are one of the screen.
- 59:31SPEAKER_03: I've never seen someone dislocate elbows.
- 59:35SPEAKER_03: He did it the exact same way twice.
- 59:38SPEAKER_03: I mean, hopefully, I don't know if he's getting surgery on it.
- 59:41SPEAKER_02: I don't know if they're just rehabbing it, but they said he'd be out for about a month.
- 59:44SPEAKER_03: I don't think it's surgery required, but hopefully he gets right in the commanders because um I saw Jaden Daniels play at ASU when he will when I was uh Spartans are doing well, and I actually like Jaden Daniels a lot as a quarterback, and I hope he uh hope he heals up, but this is cut and dry, no brainer, you know, Seattle.
- 1:00:04SPEAKER_03: Seattle.
- 1:00:05SPEAKER_01: Hey, you got Seattle?
- 1:00:06SPEAKER_01: Uh the Commanders will win probably five games because out of respect for Jaden Daniels.
- 1:00:11SPEAKER_01: Let me be honest here.
- 1:00:12SPEAKER_01: Uh yeah, uh defense is Midorker.
- 1:00:16SPEAKER_01: Give me Sea Hots.
- 1:00:18SPEAKER_02: Alright, Patriots at Jaguars.
- 1:00:21SPEAKER_02: The Jaguars haven't looked bad.
- 1:00:22SPEAKER_02: They look rough in the second half against the Broncos, but other than that, they look pretty solid.
- 1:00:25SPEAKER_03: Give me Jacksonville.
- 1:00:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I like the Jaguars here too, just because the Patriots have not played like the Patriots of last year.
- 1:00:31SPEAKER_03: I mean, Drake, I mean, I think last year, you taking account of the strength of schedule, I mean, cakewalk to the Super Bowl.
- 1:00:40SPEAKER_03: Absolute cakewalk for the Patriots.
- 1:00:41SPEAKER_03: And I think Drake May has looked awful.
- 1:00:43SPEAKER_03: I mean, three interceptions, no touchdowns in his second game.
- 1:00:47SPEAKER_03: Has he he's throwing what one passing touchdown and three interceptions?
- 1:00:50SPEAKER_03: That's his ratio right now?
- 1:00:52SPEAKER_00: I don't know the exact stats, but he has not looked like an MVP candidate, that's for sure.
- 1:00:56SPEAKER_03: No, he's looked awful.
- 1:00:58SPEAKER_03: And um until he figures it out, and until that Patriots, I mean, loss of AJ Brown week one, until he gets that weapon back.
- 1:01:05SPEAKER_03: I mean, I think the Patriots are in for a long road.
- 1:01:07SPEAKER_03: I think Jacksonville is gonna come and you know, you know, be up on the Patriots a little bit.
- 1:01:12SPEAKER_03: But again, that Patriots defense always looks good with Christian Gonzalez.
- 1:01:16SPEAKER_02: So the only positive you can take away from the offense that the Patriots have right now is they got Trevion Henderson back last week, and he made an impact instantly with a big 40-yard touchdown run.
- 1:01:24SPEAKER_03: He's a good player.
- 1:01:25SPEAKER_02: The only positive you can take away from that offense right now, though, is Travion.
- 1:01:29SPEAKER_02: But we've all got the Jaguars so far, it sounds like Peyton.
- 1:01:32SPEAKER_02: You pick the Jags.
- 1:01:33SPEAKER_00: I I'm a huge believer of the Jags.
- 1:01:35SPEAKER_00: I was a little disappointed how they played the second half last week, but the Patriots have not looked good.
- 1:01:40SPEAKER_00: I'm picking the Jags.
- 1:01:41SPEAKER_01: Beihe, what do you got?
- 1:01:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, give me Jadsonville.
- 1:01:44SPEAKER_01: Drake May is not Drake May from last year.
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_02: And he is not.
- 1:01:47SPEAKER_02: Alright, we got an NFC West matchup here.
- 1:01:49SPEAKER_02: Cardinals and 49ers.
- 1:01:51SPEAKER_02: 49ers have been dominating so far this year.
- 1:01:54SPEAKER_02: Destroyed the Rams in week one, and then beat up on the Measley Dolphins last week, and they got another not so great opponent in the Cardinals.
- 1:02:02SPEAKER_02: I think the Cardinals showed who they're truly gonna be this year last week.
- 1:02:05SPEAKER_02: Losing, only scoring what, seven points against Seattle last week.
- 1:02:09SPEAKER_02: I think uh they showed who they're truly gonna be this year.
- 1:02:11SPEAKER_02: Give me the 49ers.
- 1:02:13SPEAKER_00: Just a brutal division for the Cardinals.
- 1:02:15SPEAKER_00: Just I mean, just brutal.
- 1:02:16SPEAKER_00: There's those those top teams in the division are they all gonna make teams in the NFC.
- 1:02:20SPEAKER_00: They're all gonna make the playoffs.
- 1:02:22SPEAKER_00: I I don't think the Cardinals are really that bad.
- 1:02:24SPEAKER_00: I just think compared to who they have to play, they're they just can't stack up yet.
- 1:02:28SPEAKER_00: They can't compare.
- 1:02:29SPEAKER_00: They had they do have a bright future, but this year they they're just not gonna compete.
- 1:02:34SPEAKER_00: I'm taking the 49ers.
- 1:02:35SPEAKER_03: Yeah, two good wide receivers.
- 1:02:36SPEAKER_03: You have Michael Wilson, Marvin Harrison Jr.
- 1:02:38SPEAKER_03: Trey McBride at tight end, probably the best head.
- 1:02:42SPEAKER_03: Jeremiah.
- 1:02:44SPEAKER_03: Gonna be good, right?
- 1:02:45SPEAKER_03: Jacoby Brissett probably needs to get out of that QB1 position for them to have that high powered offense.
- 1:02:50SPEAKER_03: But um They're just not there yet.
- 1:02:52SPEAKER_03: They'll get there.
- 1:02:53SPEAKER_03: They're just not there yet.
- 1:02:54SPEAKER_03: And then they're also in the best division in football by far.
- 1:02:57SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:02:57SPEAKER_03: And it's clear and cut.
- 1:02:58SPEAKER_03: So I think the Cardinals are gonna you know suffer a loss here, but their their future is looking bright as a franchise.
- 1:03:05SPEAKER_01: Marvin Harrison is a huge question mark right now, honestly.
- 1:03:09SPEAKER_01: Just he hasn't played like a fourth round uh fourth pick at all.
- 1:03:13SPEAKER_01: So I mean Who are they even playing?
- 1:03:16SPEAKER_01: I forgot.
- 1:03:16SPEAKER_01: They're playing the 49ers.
- 1:03:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, I was gonna have the Cardinals stick to L the way I kind of checked out.
- 1:03:23SPEAKER_01: Give me the Niners.
- 1:03:25SPEAKER_02: Just worried about Marvin Harrison Jr.
- 1:03:27SPEAKER_02: dropping the football.
- 1:03:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:03:28SPEAKER_02: Alright, Minnesota and Tampa Bay.
- 1:03:31SPEAKER_02: The Vikings are 2-0.
- 1:03:32SPEAKER_02: Whoa.
- 1:03:33SPEAKER_02: What's going on in Minnesota right now?
- 1:03:35SPEAKER_02: Carson Wentz leading the charge?
- 1:03:36SPEAKER_03: Carson Wentz is debatably looked like one of the best quarterbacks in the NFC North.
- 1:03:41SPEAKER_03: But Kyler Murray is starting this week.
- 1:03:43SPEAKER_03: He is starting this week.
- 1:03:44SPEAKER_02: He did clear concussion protocol.
- 1:03:45SPEAKER_02: Kyler Murray is good to go.
- 1:03:46SPEAKER_02: Oh, did the Vikings come out on top against Tampa Bay or does Tampa Bay get a huge bounce back and find out?
- 1:03:50SPEAKER_03: Yeah, the Vikings' defense is so suffocating.
- 1:03:53SPEAKER_03: I mean, you talk about the Bears' offense putting up 59 points against Carolina.
- 1:03:57SPEAKER_03: Yes, it was raining.
- 1:03:58SPEAKER_03: Yes, Caleb Williams went out.
- 1:04:00SPEAKER_03: But going from 59 points to three points, that that that defense is very good.
- 1:04:07SPEAKER_02: And even still, Caleb Williams, even with him going out, he got injured with like six minutes left in the fourth quarter.
- 1:04:12SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 1:04:12SPEAKER_02: So he plays a lot of the game.
- 1:04:13SPEAKER_03: Flores is such a good defensive coordinator.
- 1:04:15SPEAKER_03: I mean, they were running stunt after stunt.
- 1:04:17SPEAKER_03: I mean, pressure, every single snap that felt like on Williams behind the um so I think that Vikings are gonna pull this one out and stand alone F3-0 in the NFC North, and they're gonna be a tough team in the North to beat.
- 1:04:31SPEAKER_02: I think it's safe to say Brian Flores is the best DC in the NFL.
- 1:04:33SPEAKER_02: 100%.
- 1:04:34SPEAKER_02: Not even.
- 1:04:35SPEAKER_03: He's probably looking for a head coaching job next year.
- 1:04:37SPEAKER_02: And he had one before with Miami and then got shockingly fired.
- 1:04:40SPEAKER_02: But he's proved what he's worth.
- 1:04:43SPEAKER_00: I so earlier I I think it was Novak said Tampa's is still a good team.
- 1:04:48SPEAKER_00: You know, it's it's a good win.
- 1:04:50SPEAKER_00: I don't think Tampa's a good team.
- 1:04:52SPEAKER_00: They haven't been really dominant since Brady's Super Bowl.
- 1:04:56SPEAKER_00: Like they've been 9-8.
- 1:04:57SPEAKER_00: They have won the division a couple times, but they've won at 9-8.
- 1:05:00SPEAKER_00: I think they might have won an eight and nine one year.
- 1:05:02SPEAKER_00: I think they won under 500.
- 1:05:03SPEAKER_00: I think they did.
- 1:05:04SPEAKER_00: And the Vikings' defense is obviously really good, and they have the difference maker on offense with Justin Jefferson.
- 1:05:10SPEAKER_00: They're gonna win this game.
- 1:05:11unknown: All right.
- 1:05:11SPEAKER_02: Clear cut.
- 1:05:12SPEAKER_02: Yep, I got Minnesota as well here.
- 1:05:15SPEAKER_01: That Baker contract might be worse than the Deshaun Watson contract.
- 1:05:18SPEAKER_01: No, not quite.
- 1:05:19SPEAKER_01: That's stretch.
- 1:05:20SPEAKER_01: That's a stretch.
- 1:05:21SPEAKER_01: Okay, obviously that's a stretch, but the fact that even comes into my mind shows something, man.
- 1:05:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, this team's a dumpster fire.
- 1:05:28SPEAKER_01: I've said it already.
- 1:05:29SPEAKER_01: I'm not gonna go too deep into it.
- 1:05:30SPEAKER_01: Give me the Vikings.
- 1:05:32SPEAKER_02: Alright, sweep for the Vikings.
- 1:05:34SPEAKER_02: This one is a weird one because we got the Ravens and the Cowboys.
- 1:05:38SPEAKER_02: This one is a neutral side game in Brazil.
- 1:05:41SPEAKER_02: Playing this one in Rio de Janeiro.
- 1:05:43SPEAKER_02: Dallas has looked really good on offense.
- 1:05:45SPEAKER_02: Defense not so much.
- 1:05:46SPEAKER_02: Ravens, kind of the opposite.
- 1:05:48SPEAKER_02: Their defense has looked pretty solid.
- 1:05:49SPEAKER_02: Their offense has looked really shaky.
- 1:05:51SPEAKER_02: What do we got here?
- 1:05:52SPEAKER_03: The Ravens just have no weapons on the perimeter.
- 1:05:55SPEAKER_03: I mean, is Zay Flower still out this week?
- 1:05:57SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 1:05:58SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 1:05:58SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:05:59SPEAKER_03: I mean.
- 1:06:00SPEAKER_03: They have a two man offense right now between Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry.
- 1:06:05SPEAKER_03: And I mean, washed Mark Andrews is gonna be your one of your big targets.
- 1:06:10SPEAKER_02: I mean Man, he's gotten me twelve fantasy points the past two weeks, and he's been their leading target.
- 1:06:15SPEAKER_03: That's what I'm saying, though, is that you don't have those playmakers on the outside like Dallas does.
- 1:06:19SPEAKER_03: I mean, Dak Prescott's arguably, I mean, he can't win big games.
- 1:06:24SPEAKER_03: Regular season Dak Prescott every year first couple weeks, he looks like an MVP, you know, candidate.
- 1:06:30SPEAKER_03: So I think I think Dallas is as much as I hate to say it because uh you know it's they are the Dallas Cowboys, but they are gonna go pull out this game against Baltimore in Brazil for sure.
- 1:06:40SPEAKER_02: P Rich, what do you got on this one?
- 1:06:42SPEAKER_00: I saw a quote to an Instagram.
- 1:06:44SPEAKER_00: It was Lamar Jackson talking about I I don't know if you guys saw it.
- 1:06:47SPEAKER_00: He said the Dallas Cowboys are America's team, but they're not Brazil's team.
- 1:06:51SPEAKER_00: I'm taking the Ravens.
- 1:06:52SPEAKER_00: I think Lamar's gonna take over this game.
- 1:06:54SPEAKER_00: Zay Flowers might play in the game.
- 1:06:55SPEAKER_00: He's questionable, but he's officially out.
- 1:06:57SPEAKER_00: He's officially out.
- 1:06:58SPEAKER_00: He's ruled out.
- 1:07:01SPEAKER_00: Now it makes you regret your decision a little bit, though.
- 1:07:03SPEAKER_00: I'm sticking with my guys.
- 1:07:05SPEAKER_00: I mean, you still got Lamar, you still got Derrick Henry, and Jesse Minter is gonna be a great.
- 1:07:09SPEAKER_00: I mean, he's gonna be a great future coach.
- 1:07:11SPEAKER_00: He finds a way to win this game against Dallas.
- 1:07:13SPEAKER_00: And you got Bateman as your Sean Bateman, baby.
- 1:07:17SPEAKER_00: They find a way to win.
- 1:07:21SPEAKER_02: I'll go last on this one.
- 1:07:22SPEAKER_02: Fehi, what do you got?
- 1:07:23SPEAKER_02: We got Peerrish picking the Ravens and Nut picking the Cowboys.
- 1:07:26SPEAKER_01: The Cowboys have probably won the worst, like the worst front-seven group in the NFL.
- 1:07:31SPEAKER_01: Honestly, Derrick Henry is gonna dominate that defense.
- 1:07:34SPEAKER_01: And the Raven the Ravens defense truly just needs a like limit.
- 1:07:39SPEAKER_01: It's gonna be tough, but give me the Ravens in Rio.
- 1:07:43SPEAKER_02: I mean, I I just don't know with this game.
- 1:07:46SPEAKER_02: I really don't.
- 1:07:48SPEAKER_02: I think it'll be a shootout just because Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry exist on that Ravens offense, and the Cowboys defense is awful.
- 1:07:57SPEAKER_02: Like if they might be one of the worst defenses in the league.
- 1:08:01SPEAKER_02: They were the worst last year, and it said they said they got better this year.
- 1:08:04SPEAKER_02: I just I don't see it.
- 1:08:05SPEAKER_02: I don't think they got better at all this year.
- 1:08:07SPEAKER_02: I think it'll be a shootout in Brazil.
- 1:08:10SPEAKER_02: But just because Dallas has more weapons on the outside with CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, and they've got Javante Williams in the backfield, Jake Ferguson at tight end, they've just got more weapons overall.
- 1:08:20SPEAKER_02: I'm taking Dallas in a shootout in this one.
- 1:08:23SPEAKER_02: So let's move on to Raiders and Saints.
- 1:08:26SPEAKER_02: This one's actually gonna be a great football game.
- 1:08:28SPEAKER_02: The Raiders are 2-0.
- 1:08:30SPEAKER_02: The Saints are one and one, gave the Lions a real run, only lost by a failed two-point conversion in week one, beat the Ravens last week.
- 1:08:37SPEAKER_02: This is gonna be a great game at the Supergome.
- 1:08:39SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 1:08:40SPEAKER_03: I mean, I don't know about you guys.
- 1:08:42SPEAKER_03: I think Saints are one of the most underrated teams in that.
- 1:08:45SPEAKER_03: I totally agree with you.
- 1:08:46SPEAKER_03: 100%.
- 1:08:47SPEAKER_03: I think the Saints are just gonna go pull this one out.
- 1:08:50SPEAKER_03: They do, I believe HN is out this game, though, right?
- 1:08:54SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I think Travis Etienne is out.
- 1:08:56SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so without him at the running back, but he to be honest, I don't think he's had as much of an impact in New Orleans as we thought he was coming into the season or how we thought he was going to have.
- 1:09:08SPEAKER_03: But um, I do think Tyler Shuck has looked phenomenal.
- 1:09:12SPEAKER_02: He's averaging 350 passing air.
- 1:09:14SPEAKER_03: I mean, he's one of the best quarterbacks.
- 1:09:15SPEAKER_03: He's looking like week if they have the MVP race right now, two weeks into the season.
- 1:09:20SPEAKER_03: Tyler Shuck wins.
- 1:09:21SPEAKER_03: He wins.
- 1:09:22SPEAKER_03: So I think that I think the Saints pull this one out.
- 1:09:26SPEAKER_00: Um I'm also big on the Saints.
- 1:09:28SPEAKER_00: I also am I I kind of like the Raiders.
- 1:09:31SPEAKER_00: They've had an impressive first couple weeks.
- 1:09:34SPEAKER_00: Kirk Cousins.
- 1:09:34SPEAKER_00: Dude, Kurt Cousins.
- 1:09:35SPEAKER_00: Looking like whenever he plays, he is gonna give you a chance.
- 1:09:38SPEAKER_00: He's gonna make a couple questionable decisions per game.
- 1:09:42SPEAKER_00: But he's gonna give you a chance.
- 1:09:43SPEAKER_00: He he can throw the rock.
- 1:09:45SPEAKER_00: I mean, they have Gen T.
- 1:09:46SPEAKER_00: Is Bowers back yet or no?
- 1:09:48SPEAKER_00: No, I think he's still back this week.
- 1:09:50SPEAKER_00: I mean, they still have Genty, they have other weapons they can do.
- 1:09:52SPEAKER_03: Bowers is back next week.
- 1:09:53SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Bowers will be back next week.
- 1:09:55SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 1:09:55SPEAKER_00: But the the Saints, I think, are gonna win that division.
- 1:09:58SPEAKER_00: I think they will end up winning the NFC South, so I'm picking the Saints.
- 1:10:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's between the Panthers and the Saints right now.
- 1:10:04SPEAKER_02: Point toss at the top of that division.
- 1:10:06SPEAKER_02: Whoever gets a 10 wins first is probably gonna win that division.
- 1:10:09SPEAKER_02: Nine, maybe.
- 1:10:10SPEAKER_02: Even nine.
- 1:10:11SPEAKER_02: I mean, the Panthers won it with eight last year.
- 1:10:14SPEAKER_02: Fehi, who do we got?
- 1:10:15SPEAKER_02: We got two Saints picks so far.
- 1:10:16SPEAKER_01: Are you sure Brock Bowers is out?
- 1:10:18SPEAKER_02: I think so, yes.
- 1:10:20SPEAKER_01: I mean, if he's out, it's no doubt the Saints here.
- 1:10:22SPEAKER_01: Tyler Schutz looked amazing.
- 1:10:24SPEAKER_01: That Raiders all-line still looks uh shaky.
- 1:10:27SPEAKER_01: Genty is not really efficient running the ball right now.
- 1:10:30SPEAKER_01: Give me the Saints.
- 1:10:31SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm gonna have to agree with you here.
- 1:10:33SPEAKER_02: The Raiders, with how solid they've looked so far, give me the Saints.
- 1:10:38SPEAKER_03: So correction.
- 1:10:40SPEAKER_02: Is Brock Bowers healthy?
- 1:10:42SPEAKER_03: They're saying he's expected to make his season debut this week against the New Orleans Saints.
- 1:10:47SPEAKER_02: So does that change anything?
- 1:10:48SPEAKER_02: That throws a wrinkle in the thing.
- 1:10:50SPEAKER_01: No, I'm still gonna have the Saints here.
- 1:10:52SPEAKER_03: For me, it doesn't, but a fact check does say that Bowers is going to be back.
- 1:10:57SPEAKER_00: You know what?
- 1:10:58SPEAKER_00: If it's if it's not gonna change anything for you guys, it's gonna change something for me.
- 1:11:00SPEAKER_00: Because I'm picking the Raiders then.
- 1:11:02SPEAKER_00: I think Kirk Cousins goes and finds a way.
- 1:11:04SPEAKER_00: He's gonna find Brock Bowers a ton.
- 1:11:06SPEAKER_01: The white connection.
- 1:11:10SPEAKER_02: That's gonna be a uh good connection for sure.
- 1:11:13SPEAKER_02: Brock Bowers, one of the best tight ends in the league.
- 1:11:15SPEAKER_02: But I mean, it doesn't change anything for me either.
- 1:11:18SPEAKER_02: I still gotta go with the Saints.
- 1:11:19SPEAKER_02: Like we were talking about Tyler Shuck.
- 1:11:20SPEAKER_02: Looks like if the MVP race ended now, he wins.
- 1:11:23SPEAKER_03: Yeah, did New Orleans finally find their quarterback after Drew Brees?
- 1:11:27SPEAKER_02: Finally after Drew Brees.
- 1:11:28SPEAKER_02: I mean, I think they might have.
- 1:11:30SPEAKER_03: I think they might have.
- 1:11:30SPEAKER_02: There's a good chance.
- 1:11:31SPEAKER_02: Alright, we got two more, two more games to look at here really quick.
- 1:11:34SPEAKER_02: We got the primetime game.
- 1:11:35SPEAKER_02: Sunday night football.
- 1:11:36SPEAKER_02: The Rams are in primetime once again.
- 1:11:38SPEAKER_02: They're traveling to Denver to play the Broncos.
- 1:11:40SPEAKER_02: Rams are two and a half point favorites.
- 1:11:42SPEAKER_02: It's gonna be a fun one.
- 1:11:43SPEAKER_02: I think it might be low scoring, though.
- 1:11:46SPEAKER_03: Broncos defense.
- 1:11:48SPEAKER_03: I think they're gonna pull it out.
- 1:11:50SPEAKER_03: I I think the Rams are a little overrated coming into the season.
- 1:11:53SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:11:53SPEAKER_03: You don't have Miles Garrett.
- 1:11:55SPEAKER_03: Aaron Donald is coming off of retirement.
- 1:11:57SPEAKER_03: Okay, he's still Aaron Donald.
- 1:11:59SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:11:59SPEAKER_03: All right, but he's coming off of retirement.
- 1:12:02SPEAKER_03: And I mean, that Broncos defense is what led them to the AFC championship last year.
- 1:12:07SPEAKER_02: They've got the best corner in the game in Pet Sertan.
- 1:12:09SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 1:12:09SPEAKER_03: PS2 is an amazing cornerback.
- 1:12:11SPEAKER_02: I mean Nick Benito has been a phenomenal linebacker.
- 1:12:14SPEAKER_03: 100%.
- 1:12:15SPEAKER_03: I mean, he's a guy that you can stick in coverage.
- 1:12:17SPEAKER_03: He can get to the quarterback.
- 1:12:18SPEAKER_03: Like he's one of those, you know, key factors on defense.
- 1:12:22SPEAKER_03: And I think that Puka, Puka and Devante both have been underperforming.
- 1:12:28SPEAKER_03: I mean, Safford threw three interceptions against the 49ers.
- 1:12:32SPEAKER_03: And we can make the argument that the Niners defense is better than Baronco's or better than Denver's, but I disagree with that.
- 1:12:40SPEAKER_03: I think that Denver's defense is going to shut down that Rams offense.
- 1:12:43SPEAKER_02: I do agree with you saying Puka has been underperforming.
- 1:12:46SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:12:46SPEAKER_02: Not necessarily with the Devontae Adams underperforming because Puka Nakua didn't play last week against the Giants.
- 1:12:52SPEAKER_02: What did Devontae Adams do?
- 1:12:54SPEAKER_02: Had a field day on that Giants defense.
- 1:12:56SPEAKER_02: I think he had, what, eight or nine catches, 160 something receiving yards, two touchdowns.
- 1:13:01SPEAKER_02: Might have even been more yards.
- 1:13:02SPEAKER_02: Had a field day against that Giants defense.
- 1:13:04SPEAKER_02: So Devontae Adams is still the weapon that everybody knew him as.
- 1:13:08SPEAKER_01: It's also the Giants defense.
- 1:13:10SPEAKER_02: Well, I mean, still.
- 1:13:14SPEAKER_02: That is a solid defense.
- 1:13:15SPEAKER_01: I'm talking about in the secondary.
- 1:13:17SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:13:17SPEAKER_01: Secondary Brian Burns is a dog.
- 1:13:19SPEAKER_01: I agree with that.
- 1:13:20SPEAKER_02: Front seven is solid for New York.
- 1:13:21SPEAKER_02: Secondary is not great, but that's what I mean.
- 1:13:23SPEAKER_02: Devontae Adams had a field day against him.
- 1:13:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:13:25SPEAKER_02: That's not going to happen against Patrick Sartan, that Broncos defense.
- 1:13:31SPEAKER_03: I think he's questionable, but he is questionable.
- 1:13:34SPEAKER_03: He's expected to play, but he might have limited snaps too.
- 1:13:37SPEAKER_02: Because he was a last second scratch from last week.
- 1:13:41SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 1:13:41SPEAKER_03: So we will see.
- 1:13:42SPEAKER_03: I know he's dealing with like some hip and groin issues, and I mean we will see how that game goes.
- 1:13:48SPEAKER_03: Um one thing I want to point out with the Rams.
- 1:13:51SPEAKER_03: Are we big on Blake Horam this year over Kyron Williams?
- 1:13:54SPEAKER_00: That's that's what I was gonna say.
- 1:13:56SPEAKER_00: I think here's what I think happens.
- 1:13:58SPEAKER_00: I I mean the the Denver Broncos, they're not a flashy team.
- 1:14:01SPEAKER_00: They're not.
- 1:14:02SPEAKER_00: They somehow find a way to keep you in the game to the fourth quarter and win it in the fourth quarter.
- 1:14:07SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 1:14:07SPEAKER_00: I think Puka is gonna play this week, and I think he is gonna be better than he was in week one.
- 1:14:11SPEAKER_00: He obviously didn't play in week two, so I think underperforming is a little is a little harsh when the whole team underperformed that week.
- 1:14:18SPEAKER_00: Nobody played good for the Rams in that week.
- 1:14:21SPEAKER_00: I think Puka comes back, he's a factor.
- 1:14:23SPEAKER_00: I think Blake Corum is gonna have a good game.
- 1:14:25SPEAKER_00: I think he's gonna take over the backfield this week because he's looked good.
- 1:14:28SPEAKER_03: Do we think that Blake Quorum at the end of the year, though, is he gonna be running back one for the Rams?
- 1:14:32SPEAKER_02: I've seen already all over social media people are saying it's okay to admit Blake Corum is better than Kyron Williams.
- 1:14:38SPEAKER_03: He's been looking good.
- 1:14:39SPEAKER_02: He's been great, man.
- 1:14:40SPEAKER_02: I mean, I wouldn't not be.
- 1:14:43SPEAKER_02: I feel like we're a little biased here, but uh Well, but still, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see Blake Quorum be RB1 at by the halfway point this year.
- 1:14:50SPEAKER_03: 100%.
- 1:14:51SPEAKER_03: I mean, he's looked amazing.
- 1:14:52SPEAKER_03: So coin flip again, but I'm I'm taking Baronko for this game.
- 1:14:56SPEAKER_03: I'm taking the Rams.
- 1:14:57SPEAKER_03: Is uh Denver at home?
- 1:14:58SPEAKER_03: At Denver.
- 1:14:59SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:15:00SPEAKER_00: I'll take Denver.
- 1:15:01SPEAKER_00: I'm still taking the Rams.
- 1:15:02SPEAKER_00: I mean, they're the reason they were the favorites.
- 1:15:04SPEAKER_02: One Rams, one Broncos, Faye, go ahead.
- 1:15:07SPEAKER_01: I'm still not convinced Bo Nitz is a storing quarterback in the NFL.
- 1:15:11SPEAKER_01: You're crazy.
- 1:15:12SPEAKER_01: He's definitely a starter.
- 1:15:13SPEAKER_01: He's really crazy.
- 1:15:15SPEAKER_01: You're crazy.
- 1:15:16SPEAKER_01: Look, man, I may be crazy.
- 1:15:18SPEAKER_01: You've been told that before.
- 1:15:20SPEAKER_00: That might be the worst take I've heard all day.
- 1:15:24SPEAKER_00: Continue, Faye.
- 1:15:26SPEAKER_00: Central Michigan, maybe.
- 1:15:27SPEAKER_02: Oh man.
- 1:15:28SPEAKER_02: That was for fun, though.
- 1:15:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, look, look, man.
- 1:15:31SPEAKER_01: Um Puka's actually bad.
- 1:15:34SPEAKER_01: He's gonna have a field day.
- 1:15:35SPEAKER_01: I mean, they're just gonna have a field day.
- 1:15:36SPEAKER_01: I mean, who's the uh was it Riley Riley Moss on the outside?
- 1:15:39SPEAKER_02: Riley Moss is not bad.
- 1:15:41SPEAKER_01: He had what the most penalties last year.
- 1:15:43SPEAKER_02: It's alright.
- 1:15:44SPEAKER_02: He knows how to cover.
- 1:15:46SPEAKER_02: He's just at least better than the Lions secondary.
- 1:15:48SPEAKER_01: Look, man, Devontae Adams is uh like he's a great route runner.
- 1:15:52SPEAKER_01: I think he will click him on the outside.
- 1:15:54SPEAKER_01: I love played quorum too.
- 1:15:56SPEAKER_01: Give me the Rams at Mala High.
- 1:15:58SPEAKER_02: Give me the Broncos.
- 1:16:00SPEAKER_02: I like Denver here.
- 1:16:01SPEAKER_02: That defense is just so suffocating and so good.
- 1:16:03SPEAKER_02: We saw I mean you can blame it a little bit on jet lag for the Australia game that the Rams played, only scoring seven points.
- 1:16:09SPEAKER_02: But the 49ers also have a really good defense.
- 1:16:11SPEAKER_03: No, the research they said is that the best way to avoid that jet lag was to not have it in the first place when they did all that research going out to that game.
- 1:16:19SPEAKER_03: So I mean, we can say what we want about that Australia game, but I just think that Denver Broncos defense is above a lot of units in the NFL.
- 1:16:29SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's what I was getting at.
- 1:16:30SPEAKER_02: I mean, like I said, the 49ers have really good defense, held the Rams to seven points.
- 1:16:34SPEAKER_02: The Broncos have probably the best defense in the NFL, especially the Pats are 10 leading that secondary.
- 1:16:39SPEAKER_02: I'll take Denver here on Sunday night.
- 1:16:41SPEAKER_02: Last game, and then we're gonna close this episode out here, Monday night football.
- 1:16:45SPEAKER_02: Philadelphia Eagles go on the road to Soldier Field to take on the Caleb Williams list Chicago Bears.
- 1:16:50SPEAKER_03: Go birds.
- 1:16:52SPEAKER_02: I I mean I don't think this one should be very competitive.
- 1:16:55SPEAKER_02: I don't even know if Tyson Bajent is gonna be starting for the Bears because he's also questionable.
- 1:17:00SPEAKER_02: If it's not Tyson Bajent, it's gonna be Case Keenum.
- 1:17:03SPEAKER_02: So yeah, I'll take the Eagles in this one.
- 1:17:06SPEAKER_02: I think they're gonna run away with this one in Chicago.
- 1:17:09SPEAKER_03: Is he ruled out for that week?
- 1:17:11SPEAKER_03: I thought they were saying that he's questionable.
- 1:17:13SPEAKER_03: He's doubtful.
- 1:17:14SPEAKER_03: Caleb Williams is doubtful.
- 1:17:16SPEAKER_03: He's not gonna play.
- 1:17:17SPEAKER_00: He's probably not gonna play as he got carved off the field last week.
- 1:17:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:17:20SPEAKER_00: What's they about there?
- 1:17:22SPEAKER_00: We're not gonna go there.
- 1:17:24SPEAKER_00: Doubtful as well.
- 1:17:25SPEAKER_00: We're not gonna go there.
- 1:17:26SPEAKER_00: I think if Caleb Williams in the off chance, he does play.
- 1:17:30SPEAKER_00: I think maybe they have a shot.
- 1:17:31SPEAKER_00: I they actually would pick the Bears if he plays, but I don't think he will, so I'm picking the Eagles.
- 1:17:36SPEAKER_03: I mean, Jalen Hurts and Devonta Smith.
- 1:17:38SPEAKER_03: I mean, they that's looked good.
- 1:17:41SPEAKER_03: I mean, shout out for myself for picking Devonta Smith in fantasy this year.
- 1:17:45SPEAKER_02: The loss of AJ Brown has benefited the Eagles like.
- 1:17:48SPEAKER_02: 110%.
- 1:17:50SPEAKER_02: 100%.
- 1:17:50SPEAKER_02: Devontae Smith has been, he's gonna have a career year this year.
- 1:17:55SPEAKER_02: I mean, Saquon Barkley still hasn't gotten his footing yet either this season.
- 1:17:59SPEAKER_02: So when he gets his footing, look out for that Eagles offense.
- 1:18:02SPEAKER_03: I mean, you think of superstar wide receiver wide receivers, you think of them as Divas, right?
- 1:18:07SPEAKER_03: I don't get that vibe from Devontae Smith.
- 1:18:09SPEAKER_03: That guy looks like he just wants to win.
- 1:18:11SPEAKER_03: And so I think that He's a baller.
- 1:18:13SPEAKER_03: I think that the Eagles, also the Eagles defense is is also a good unit, too.
- 1:18:17SPEAKER_03: They've had a good unit for forever.
- 1:18:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so I think that it's clear and cut that Eagles pull it away on Monday night football.
- 1:18:23SPEAKER_01: Three for the birds, Fehey, what do you got?
- 1:18:26SPEAKER_01: I kind of just want to see Case Keenum play now.
- 1:18:29SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna be honest.
- 1:18:30SPEAKER_03: I mean, once you have that one legacy game every you know couple of years.
- 1:18:34SPEAKER_02: But he's he was the Minneapolis miracle.
- 1:18:36SPEAKER_02: Back in 2018, right?
- 1:18:38SPEAKER_00: The last time he played against the Eagles, it was in the NFC Championship game.
- 1:18:42SPEAKER_00: He got off destroyed 40, I think.
- 1:18:44SPEAKER_00: Like they got destroyed.
- 1:18:46SPEAKER_00: That's what I'm saying.
- 1:18:47SPEAKER_01: I I thought of that this is it's gonna be the Eagles.
- 1:18:50SPEAKER_01: This is probably gonna be one of the most uncompetitive Monday night games we'll see in a while.
- 1:18:54SPEAKER_01: So, yeah.
- 1:18:56SPEAKER_02: Alright.
- 1:18:57SPEAKER_02: That's all the picks.
- 1:18:59SPEAKER_02: Uh we ran through a lot of football games this week, fellas, and we'll be right back at it next week.
