- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: It's a big week for the Almost Famous Podcast. Today
- 0:08Speaker 2: is an incredible episode. We are celebrating love. We got
- 0:12Speaker 2: the low down before the wedding, but now the wedding's happened.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Welcome to the Almost Famous Podcast. Marian Kenney, congratulations.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Good, thank you, thank you.
- 0:22Speaker 4: You guys told us that you were going to have
- 0:24Speaker 4: two weddings. We saw the one that happened in Puerto
- 0:27Speaker 4: Rico this past weekend.
- 0:29Speaker 5: One was the other.
- 0:31Speaker 6: We haven't had it yet. It's not all. It'll be
- 0:35Speaker 6: in March of twenty twenty four here in Chicago. That
- 0:38Speaker 6: one's we figured more accessible for people to come to,
- 0:41Speaker 6: so that one will have a lot more people. And yeah,
- 0:44Speaker 6: it's going to be a good time.
- 0:46Speaker 4: You had like sixty five guests this past weekend. Everything
- 0:50Speaker 4: everything looked so pretty. So tell us about like the
- 0:54Speaker 4: inspiration behind it all.
- 0:58Speaker 6: I think, well, you know, this is kind of of.
- 1:00Speaker 7: A me question.
- 1:01Speaker 4: Yeah, as I was indirectly referring to you.
- 1:07Speaker 6: I think I just wanted it to be obviously very intimate,
- 1:10Speaker 6: with just sixty five guests, mostly just our families and
- 1:14Speaker 6: our venue. I think kind of lent itself to just
- 1:17Speaker 6: like Garden, very classic classy vibes, you know, So we
- 1:22Speaker 6: kept it more on the traditional side in terms of
- 1:26Speaker 6: the way we did it, but also the decor was
- 1:28Speaker 6: like white and gold and greenery, just kind of playing.
- 1:31Speaker 3: Off of what the venue already had to offer.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Now, when we spoke last, Kenny, you were kind of
- 1:40Speaker 2: out of the loop on the wedding plans. Did that
- 1:43Speaker 2: increase over time or were you able to somehow strategically
- 1:48Speaker 2: navigate not planning it decreased?
- 1:50Speaker 3: I think actually over time I got less involved. I
- 1:57Speaker 3: had seen the venue we were out in Puerto Rico,
- 2:01Speaker 3: so that wasn't a surprise, but seeing everything else set
- 2:07Speaker 3: up and everything was like a surprise to me, just
- 2:10Speaker 3: as much as the guests, I think pretty much.
- 2:12Speaker 4: Right, Wow, are you going to have more say over
- 2:15Speaker 4: the Chicago wedding because Puerto Rico is you know, where
- 2:18Speaker 4: Mari's from, and then Chicago's were from, so it's kind
- 2:20Speaker 4: of like you each have your own or not.
- 2:24Speaker 3: Well, so Chicago's the venue is where I work, so
- 2:27Speaker 3: I'll be a little more involved, and this one's more
- 2:31Speaker 3: of like my speed. We're doing like an eighties dance party. Basically,
- 2:36Speaker 3: so it's like a retro theme party, and it's it's
- 2:39Speaker 3: more something that I have a handle on rather than
- 2:43Speaker 3: this other stuff. But it was it was a good
- 2:46Speaker 3: thing that I wasn't involved as much in Puerto Rico
- 2:49Speaker 3: because everything was very beautiful and it would not have
- 2:52Speaker 3: turned out that way if I tried to get involved.
- 2:55Speaker 2: It's a good way to look at it. It's better
- 2:57Speaker 2: if we're not involved. Now there, let's dive into the
- 3:00Speaker 2: details a little bit about this wedding. There were some
- 3:03Speaker 2: non traditional things which I think are awesome. My wife
- 3:06Speaker 2: just posted a reel of non traditional things that we
- 3:09Speaker 2: did our wedding. We'll start out. I want to ask
- 3:13Speaker 2: about you all getting married on Veterans Day, and I
- 3:15Speaker 2: know that has a meeting behind it for you all.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Do you mind explaining that for us?
- 3:21Speaker 6: Yeah, So eleven eleven is obviously like an angel number.
- 3:26Speaker 6: It's supposed to mean good luck and good things. Obviously,
- 3:29Speaker 6: every time you see eleven eleven on the clock, you're
- 3:31Speaker 6: supposed to make a witness.
- 3:33Speaker 5: Every single time. I kind of use it as prayer time,
- 3:36Speaker 5: to be honest.
- 3:37Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, they're not just like frivolous wishes, but yeah,
- 3:41Speaker 4: wishes but it's.
- 3:43Speaker 6: Just supposed to be like good luck and good things,
- 3:45Speaker 6: So that obviously was a part of it. But also
- 3:48Speaker 6: eleven eleven is Veterans Day every year, and my dad
- 3:51Speaker 6: is a twenty five year Army veteran. He served in
- 3:56Speaker 6: several different wars, was injured, and he's now retiredired, but unfortunately,
- 4:02Speaker 6: a lot of the negativity associated with his time in
- 4:04Speaker 6: the service, unfortunately really hits him hard, specifically on Veterans Day,
- 4:09Speaker 6: and he remembers and like looks back on all that
- 4:11Speaker 6: he had gone through. So I thought that this might
- 4:16Speaker 6: be a way for him to have a better association
- 4:19Speaker 6: with Betteran's Day and for him to look at it
- 4:21Speaker 6: as like, oh no, it's not something sad. This is
- 4:24Speaker 6: the day that my daughter, you know, my oldest child,
- 4:26Speaker 6: my firstborn, got married, and that he got to care
- 4:29Speaker 6: for that. So hopefully, you know, in the future it
- 4:32Speaker 6: will have more positive memories for him.
- 4:34Speaker 2: That's absolutely amazing. Yeah, that's such an incredible thoughtful idea. Now,
- 4:38Speaker 2: the other one I really wanted to touch on is
- 4:41Speaker 2: you had can he sister officiate the wedding? How did
- 4:43Speaker 2: you ask her kind of how did you guys get
- 4:45Speaker 2: to the point of saying yes, I it's such a
- 4:50Speaker 2: big position. I feel like to officiate a wedding, and
- 4:54Speaker 2: and can He's sister kind of got the nod. Had
- 4:56Speaker 2: to happen.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Well, we we were going to that route from the beginning.
- 5:02Speaker 3: We were going to have somebody officiate, and my brother
- 5:06Speaker 3: was already the best man, and we were just trying
- 5:09Speaker 3: to involve our family as much as possible in the wedding.
- 5:14Speaker 3: So it made a lot of sense for my sister
- 5:17Speaker 3: to jump in and do that basically, you know, and
- 5:20Speaker 3: she was willing to do it. We were grateful for that.
- 5:25Speaker 3: We actually had some wells actually helped out and gave
- 5:28Speaker 3: us his notes and his He actually emailed me a
- 5:32Speaker 3: bunch of stuff to pass along to myself. Saw that
- 5:37Speaker 3: it actually really helped a lot, to be honest, So
- 5:40Speaker 3: I gave her all the stuff that he used sort
- 5:43Speaker 3: of for Joe and Serena's wedding and sort of like
- 5:46Speaker 3: broke it all down. So it actually made it a
- 5:49Speaker 3: little easier for her because she was freaking out.
- 5:52Speaker 5: Obviously, it's a big undertaking. You're like, where do I start.
- 5:56Speaker 4: Ben and I have both officiated weddings, and like I
- 5:59Speaker 4: dreaded for like four months and then of course it's.
- 6:02Speaker 5: The week of the wedding and I'm writing it. But
- 6:04Speaker 5: like it's fine.
- 6:07Speaker 4: As soon as you get an outline and you really
- 6:09Speaker 4: start at the keyboard, it rolls, but it's just like
- 6:12Speaker 4: it's such an intimidating undertaking.
- 6:15Speaker 5: Anyway. So you guys had a ceremony.
- 6:18Speaker 4: There, you did like the whole I'm assuming you did
- 6:21Speaker 4: the vow thing there, so you gotta do whole and
- 6:23Speaker 4: a whole there set of vows because this is what
- 6:25Speaker 4: we were wondering with Chris Harrison and Lauren's email last weekend.
- 6:28Speaker 4: We're like, you already did vows. How are you gonna
- 6:32Speaker 4: do them again? Is one gonna be the traditional vows
- 6:35Speaker 4: and one written vowels?
- 6:36Speaker 5: Tell us what you're doing?
- 6:38Speaker 6: No, I think what we'll do because we did have
- 6:40Speaker 6: a lot of family and friends who couldn't come to
- 6:42Speaker 6: Puerto Rico, so we still want to do something that's
- 6:45Speaker 6: kind of reminiscent of the ceremony, but obviously much smaller scale, because,
- 6:49Speaker 6: like you said, we already did it, so it's kind
- 6:51Speaker 6: of strange to like redo it in a sense. Yeah,
- 6:54Speaker 6: so I think what we'll do is we'll play a
- 6:56Speaker 6: video from our ceremony in Puerto Rico probably, and then
- 7:00Speaker 6: that will be the lead into like introducing the couple
- 7:02Speaker 6: and then we just party the rest of the night.
- 7:04Speaker 5: So you're not going to walk down the aisle again?
- 7:06Speaker 8: No, okay, no, No, very casual on this one.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Well, last question really around the wedding. We do want
- 7:25Speaker 2: to talk to you a little bit about what's going
- 7:27Speaker 2: on in the Bachelor world, but we really want to
- 7:29Speaker 2: celebrate two of you because obviously this is a really
- 7:31Speaker 2: beautiful moment. You know, you've been planning this for a while, Mari.
- 7:35Speaker 2: You guys we talked about it months ago, kind of
- 7:37Speaker 2: this coming up. Obviously you met on Paradise, you know,
- 7:42Speaker 2: and you guys have I felt like, tell me if
- 7:44Speaker 2: I'm wrong. Since Paradise, you too have really been a
- 7:49Speaker 2: pretty clear on a clear path to get married, and
- 7:51Speaker 2: this is something you're both excited for. Did the wedding
- 7:53Speaker 2: in Puerto Rico live up to all your expectations? Like,
- 7:56Speaker 2: as you now sit back and you look back on
- 7:58Speaker 2: that day, can you just break it down kind of
- 8:00Speaker 2: how it felt, what you expected, all the goodness of it.
- 8:04Speaker 6: Yeah, it did. I think you know, a lot of
- 8:06Speaker 6: planning went into it a lot of details, a lot
- 8:09Speaker 6: of stress, if I'm being honest, but you know that's
- 8:12Speaker 6: the nature of wedding planning and to see it all,
- 8:14Speaker 6: you know, culminate into this beautiful day with all of
- 8:16Speaker 6: our closest family and friends there. Yeah, it definitely paid off.
- 8:19Speaker 6: I think everything turned out pretty perfect. I mean we
- 8:22Speaker 6: had a couple of little minor blunders happen, but nothing
- 8:26Speaker 6: that was you know, too detrimental. It did rain a
- 8:29Speaker 6: tiny bit the day of.
- 8:31Speaker 5: The ceremonyally good luck.
- 8:33Speaker 6: Yeah yeah, just before the ceremony. It was like a
- 8:36Speaker 6: three minute little shower and then it stopped.
- 8:39Speaker 5: That's nothing.
- 8:39Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, but yeah, other than that, I would say
- 8:42Speaker 6: everything pretty much went to plan.
- 8:44Speaker 3: For me. It was I thought it was fantastic. Just
- 8:49Speaker 3: the venue was perfect for the amount of people we had,
- 8:52Speaker 3: and so it felt obviously it was a small group,
- 8:55Speaker 3: but it felt like it was very intimate. Everybody was
- 8:58Speaker 3: close together and it was just like she said, it
- 9:02Speaker 3: was really just this was really about family for us,
- 9:05Speaker 3: this one and in our very close friends. So it
- 9:09Speaker 3: was very perfect. It was very non It didn't feel
- 9:13Speaker 3: very wedding. It was you know, we did everything, the dances,
- 9:17Speaker 3: everything happened right away, the speeches happened during dinner everything,
- 9:22Speaker 3: and then it just kind of jumped into the music
- 9:24Speaker 3: and stuff, and I just thought it. The wedding itself
- 9:28Speaker 3: flowed very well, and you know, it was just I
- 9:31Speaker 3: feel like everybody had a good time. I hope they did.
- 9:33Speaker 6: I don't know. I didn't.
- 9:34Speaker 3: I didn't check in with everybody yet, since.
- 9:37Speaker 4: I'm sure that this wedding had the most on brand
- 9:42Speaker 4: Ashley I music, and so will the one in Chicago,
- 9:45Speaker 4: and I'm like.
- 9:46Speaker 5: That was a that's a wedding. That is a wedding.
- 9:50Speaker 3: So the music was it was actually the DJ did
- 9:54Speaker 3: a really good job. We there was a lot of
- 9:57Speaker 3: eighties music and then there was a lot of Latin music.
- 10:00Speaker 4: Basically, so yeah, I was going to say it was
- 10:01Speaker 4: probably a lot of a lot of music, which is
- 10:03Speaker 4: also the greatest party music.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Well, Mari surprised pretty much all of us and had
- 10:10Speaker 3: like a band show up or I don't know what
- 10:12Speaker 3: you saw it, but they you explained.
- 10:14Speaker 6: That it's called a batuka, which is like percussion instruments
- 10:19Speaker 6: pretty much, and it's a tradition to have them in
- 10:21Speaker 6: Puerto Rican weddings, and they showed up as a surprise.
- 10:25Speaker 6: I didn't even tell Kenny that I had booked this.
- 10:27Speaker 6: No one knew except for me and the planner. And yeah,
- 10:30Speaker 6: they showed up. They start playing and banging and everybody
- 10:32Speaker 6: had a good time. They got everybody back on the
- 10:34Speaker 6: dance floor. It was It was a lot of fun.
- 10:36Speaker 6: So I'm really glad that I did that.
- 10:38Speaker 5: That's so fun.
- 10:39Speaker 4: Kenny, is there going to be a boy band like,
- 10:41Speaker 4: you know, like a boy band tribute at your other wedding?
- 10:44Speaker 3: So the guys are going to be there as guests.
- 10:49Speaker 3: So we're just going to have a DJ at the
- 10:51Speaker 3: Chicago one doing like It's like I said, it's going
- 10:54Speaker 3: to be all eighties music. Okay, So all the bands
- 10:58Speaker 3: that I deal with are going to be there as guests.
- 11:00Speaker 3: We didn't want anybody like working or anything that night.
- 11:03Speaker 3: So h no, no boy band?
- 11:05Speaker 5: Oh no boys? Interesting?
- 11:07Speaker 8: All right?
- 11:07Speaker 2: Well Ashley so bombed. She's like, well you should reconsider
- 11:11Speaker 2: that for your wedding. You should have a boy van.
- 11:14Speaker 4: When we get off the topic of the wedding, I
- 11:16Speaker 4: do have one boy band question for Kenny. But Mari,
- 11:21Speaker 4: how did you feel about Lauren Zema's dress being similar
- 11:24Speaker 4: to yours the week before. Did you see those people
- 11:26Speaker 4: magazine pictures and just have a meltdown.
- 11:29Speaker 6: A little bit?
- 11:30Speaker 3: Yes?
- 11:31Speaker 6: And I actually when I saw it, I like audibly gasped,
- 11:34Speaker 6: and Kenny was in the room and I was like, oh,
- 11:37Speaker 6: And I literally started to say, she has the same dress.
- 11:39Speaker 6: And he was in the room, and I was like, Oh,
- 11:41Speaker 6: he's gonna see these pictures, so let me not say that.
- 11:43Speaker 4: That's oh my gosh, oh my good catch can don't
- 11:48Speaker 4: don't respond to this yet.
- 11:50Speaker 2: You and I are gonna have a conversation once they're
- 11:51Speaker 2: done here.
- 11:53Speaker 6: So I started to say that out loud. I'm like, oh,
- 11:56Speaker 6: you can hear me, and I'm sure this is going
- 11:57Speaker 6: to pop up on his speed.
- 12:00Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 12:01Speaker 6: It was a little a little disappointing, but I mean
- 12:04Speaker 6: it's fine. I don't own the dress. It's not just mine.
- 12:07Speaker 4: You know.
- 12:07Speaker 6: She looks stunning too, and it was a different dress.
- 12:09Speaker 6: It just looks very similar. But initially I did think
- 12:13Speaker 6: it was the same exact dress because when I was
- 12:15Speaker 6: working with Justin Alexander to pick out my dress, they
- 12:18Speaker 6: did mention Lauren Zema and they said that she was
- 12:20Speaker 6: gonna wear Justin Alexander. So as soon as I saw it,
- 12:23Speaker 6: I'm like, oh my god, of course, like it has
- 12:25Speaker 6: to be the same dress, but it wasn't. But yeah,
- 12:28Speaker 6: she looked great. I think I looked great too.
- 12:30Speaker 5: It was a little lace, id you'r lace?
- 12:33Speaker 9: Yes?
- 12:33Speaker 6: I added a little something different. So the dress, it's
- 12:35Speaker 6: it's quite a bit of a story. I initially was
- 12:39Speaker 6: having something completely custom made. And if you know me,
- 12:42Speaker 6: you know I'm a little bit extra. I love all
- 12:44Speaker 6: the bling, the glitter, you know pageant girl.
- 12:46Speaker 5: Well you know your pageant girl. Yeah, yes, So.
- 12:48Speaker 6: I had something like super unique, over the top, really
- 12:51Speaker 6: really beautiful, and unfortunately, like eight seven or eight weeks
- 12:55Speaker 6: before the wedding, I found out that, for reasons I
- 12:58Speaker 6: won't get into, that that dress was just not going
- 13:00Speaker 6: to happen anymore. So yeah, I had to completely like
- 13:04Speaker 6: scramble to find who's going to make my dress, like
- 13:07Speaker 6: a new designer, like who in.
- 13:09Speaker 4: Eight weeks It's usually needs to be ordered six months
- 13:13Speaker 4: in advance.
- 13:14Speaker 6: Yeah, so you can imagine I was completely freaking out
- 13:17Speaker 6: and I'm like, oh my gosh, what am I going
- 13:18Speaker 6: to do? I don't have time, Like I'm gonna have
- 13:20Speaker 6: to find something literally off the rack or something. But
- 13:23Speaker 6: my good friend Anita, she owns Hope Bridle in Wisconsin,
- 13:26Speaker 6: and I went through her. She hooked up with Justin
- 13:29Speaker 6: Alexander and they were like, oh, don't worry, we got you, like,
- 13:32Speaker 6: we'll get you a dress. So they literally saved me
- 13:35Speaker 6: in like less than two months time, thankfully. But yeah,
- 13:38Speaker 6: it was a whole process. I'll post eventually what my
- 13:42Speaker 6: dress was supposed to look like just so people can
- 13:45Speaker 6: see it. But yeah, it was.
- 13:46Speaker 5: A do you get that for the Chicago wedding or
- 13:48Speaker 5: something in line.
- 13:50Speaker 6: With that potentially. The only thing is like I wasn't
- 13:54Speaker 6: planning on wearing like something super super bright. Yeah, it
- 13:58Speaker 6: is more casual, more of a part. But I kind
- 14:01Speaker 6: of feel like, man, I missed out on what I
- 14:03Speaker 6: originally wanted, so maybe I will have to do it.
- 14:07Speaker 5: Good Hairs, it's your wedding day, Okay, it's.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Time for you and I talk. Let's be honest, and
- 14:14Speaker 2: I don't mean this to totally like get you in trouble,
- 14:18Speaker 2: but if you were to see Lauren Zema's dress, if
- 14:21Speaker 2: she were to show you it and then she comes
- 14:23Speaker 2: out in a dress at your wedding, would you have
- 14:25Speaker 2: any idea that it was anywhere close to the same dress,
- 14:29Speaker 2: and I.
- 14:29Speaker 3: Still I haven't even looked at Lauren's dress yet.
- 14:34Speaker 2: It's it's it's something I would have never known. Like
- 14:37Speaker 2: I think Jessica could have literally showed me her dress, yeah,
- 14:40Speaker 2: and like this is the one I'm wearing and then
- 14:42Speaker 2: she puts it on like I don't remember, like yeah, cool,
- 14:45Speaker 2: Like it doesn't it doesn't.
- 14:47Speaker 3: I don't see it.
- 14:48Speaker 2: I don't remember it.
- 14:49Speaker 6: I don't.
- 14:49Speaker 5: You can't describe what her dress looks like right now?
- 14:53Speaker 6: No, I can't either.
- 14:56Speaker 3: I mean no, I could not. Like I know what
- 15:00Speaker 3: her face looked like, and like.
- 15:02Speaker 2: Yeah, her soul and what the person I love look like.
- 15:05Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm glad. I'm glad that.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Like, here's the deal. I don't know if it's our role, Kenny. Now,
- 15:10Speaker 2: somebody's gonna get really upset about this. I think all
- 15:13Speaker 2: the people there that really care about that stuff are
- 15:16Speaker 2: gonna notice and be like, wow, she looks gorgeous. Here's
- 15:20Speaker 2: the thing I remember about my wife on our wedding day.
- 15:22Speaker 2: She looked absolutely beautiful. I can remember looking at her
- 15:26Speaker 2: and being absolutely shocked at just how gorgeous she looked
- 15:29Speaker 2: on that day. Could I tell you much of what
- 15:32Speaker 2: was she wearing. No, I can't.
- 15:35Speaker 4: No, if it weren't for pictures around the house, and
- 15:37Speaker 4: we have a lot of wedding photos around the house,
- 15:39Speaker 4: then Jared probably couldn't recall it either.
- 15:42Speaker 3: No, I mean she walked down. I'll always remember. Obviously
- 15:46Speaker 3: she came down with her dad and he was in
- 15:48Speaker 3: his military uniform, and you know, I'll remember all of that,
- 15:53Speaker 3: but not what the dress particularly look like.
- 15:57Speaker 2: I think it's fair to admit, man, I just I
- 15:59Speaker 2: I I say this only to hopefully take some stress,
- 16:02Speaker 2: Like I remember those stressful times for my wife, you know,
- 16:05Speaker 2: picking out the dress, planning the dress and all those things.
- 16:08Speaker 2: I remember, like we went to a wedding, and this
- 16:11Speaker 2: wedding had another Like their first dance song with the
- 16:15Speaker 2: dad was the same as jessicause it was gonna be
- 16:17Speaker 2: and she broke down in tears. I'm like, honey, I
- 16:20Speaker 2: don't think it matters, like I really, I don't think
- 16:22Speaker 2: anybody's gonna even remember or say anything. But it mattered
- 16:24Speaker 2: to her. And so it was a wild time of
- 16:27Speaker 2: navigating conversations that I felt like I don't understand, but
- 16:31Speaker 2: yet they were affecting her deeply.
- 16:33Speaker 3: Yeah, now I get I do get that. I understand
- 16:36Speaker 3: where she's coming from or on these things. But I mean,
- 16:39Speaker 3: speaking of the first dance that they messed up our first,
- 16:42Speaker 3: they played the wrong song at first.
- 16:44Speaker 5: Did you stop them?
- 16:46Speaker 3: So we stopped it and he started playing the Little
- 16:51Speaker 3: John song that we entered to and you know, which
- 16:55Speaker 3: was that sucks, you know, And then we stopped that
- 16:59Speaker 3: and I went and talked to the DJ. I'm like,
- 17:01Speaker 3: I called the time out on the floor in front
- 17:04Speaker 3: of everybody. I said, call everybody time out. And then
- 17:07Speaker 3: we jumped into the father daughter dance and then I
- 17:12Speaker 3: talked to the DJ. We got it streamed out and
- 17:14Speaker 3: then we started over after that.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Oh isn't that great? That's just so frustrating. That would
- 17:20Speaker 2: have frustrated me deeply.
- 17:21Speaker 5: I think the same, bad and same. I'm like, good thing.
- 17:24Speaker 4: You guys are apparently relaxed people, because I would have
- 17:27Speaker 4: been like.
- 17:29Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean I think. I mean, in my head,
- 17:31Speaker 6: I was definitely like, are you freaking hitting me right now?
- 17:33Speaker 6: Like everyone's looking at me, like what am I supposed
- 17:36Speaker 6: to do? But like you can't freak out in front
- 17:39Speaker 6: of everybody either, So it's like it's fine, it's gonna
- 17:42Speaker 6: pass in ten minutes and then we're just gonna party
- 17:44Speaker 6: and drink and forget it happened. But yeah, definitely in
- 17:47Speaker 6: my head, I was like, this, this can't be happening, right.
- 17:50Speaker 3: That was the only thing that was kind of that
- 17:53Speaker 3: was messed up.
- 17:54Speaker 6: A little bit. Really. Yeah, yeah, pretty much so.
- 17:57Speaker 3: And I get like, because we the that he's in
- 18:00Speaker 3: Puerto Rico and it's not like we sat down and
- 18:03Speaker 3: like had meeting him. So he actually did a very
- 18:05Speaker 3: good job considering that there was very little communication between
- 18:09Speaker 3: us and him, and it was kind of flowing through
- 18:11Speaker 3: the planet. And they played a song that I think
- 18:15Speaker 3: had the same title as ours, but it wasn't the
- 18:18Speaker 3: right song. So it got figured out.
- 18:28Speaker 10: Hey, it's Danielle Fischl right or Strong and will Fredell.
- 18:32Speaker 10: But you know us best as Tapanga.
- 18:34Speaker 7: Sean and Eric from Boy Meets World.
- 18:36Speaker 10: And now Pod Meets World, the podcast where we've been
- 18:39Speaker 10: sitting down weekly to rewatch the show we starred in
- 18:41Speaker 10: His Kids, and we've been unpacking well a lot.
- 18:45Speaker 9: And we've been taking the show on the road with
- 18:47Speaker 9: the Kids Want to Jump Tour, where every stop in
- 18:50Speaker 9: cities across the US has been totally different and pretty
- 18:53Speaker 9: hilarious if I do say so myself.
- 18:54Speaker 7: But we know not everyone can join us. So we're
- 18:56Speaker 7: happy to announce that our recent thirtieth anniversary of the show,
- 18:59Speaker 7: Live from the met in Philadelphia, will now be available
- 19:02Speaker 7: to stream no matter where you live.

- 19:13Speaker 10: Tony Mister Turner Quinn, and Danny Harley McNulty, who makes
- 19:17Speaker 10: a very special surprise visit.
- 19:19Speaker 9: It was so much fun and now you can experience
- 19:22Speaker 9: it from the comfort of your own home.
- 19:24Speaker 7: It will be available on December eleventh at five pm Pacific.
- 19:27Speaker 7: You can learn more about how you can watch at

- 19:43Speaker 10: Pod meets World Now.
- 19:47Speaker 2: It's also funny, Kenny, because you make the comment that's
- 19:49Speaker 2: like the only thing that went wrong at our wedding,
- 19:51Speaker 2: and I bet Mary's sitting there going no, there was
- 19:53Speaker 2: like ten other things that the way wrong, but you
- 19:56Speaker 2: have no idea about I only know that because I've
- 20:00Speaker 2: been in those shoes before. Now, as we kind of
- 20:03Speaker 2: close up with you guys here again, thanks for jumping on.
- 20:05Speaker 2: You know, the week after the wedding, we got to
- 20:07Speaker 2: talk about Paradise. So one of the things that we're
- 20:09Speaker 2: breaking down in Paradise right now is that we don't
- 20:12Speaker 2: feel cash and I don't feel like there is any
- 20:15Speaker 2: couples that are or are right now as strong as
- 20:19Speaker 2: you were on Paradise. You guys are obviously a very
- 20:21Speaker 2: strong couple. We could see a future between the two
- 20:24Speaker 2: of you. There was obviously a great connection going on,
- 20:27Speaker 2: and we were celebrating that we enjoyed it. Right now,
- 20:29Speaker 2: on Paradise, we don't have those couples that were necessarily
- 20:32Speaker 2: like celebrating yet because we don't really know who's dating
- 20:34Speaker 2: who and why they're dating each other. Do you two
- 20:37Speaker 2: feel the same way or could you maybe teach Ashley
- 20:39Speaker 2: and I what's going on behind the scenes that you
- 20:41Speaker 2: think is actually, you know, building these strong relationships.
- 20:45Speaker 6: I mean, I think you're right to an extent. I
- 20:49Speaker 6: feel like there is so much flip flopping right now,
- 20:51Speaker 6: and it seems like it's kind of late in the
- 20:53Speaker 6: season for that for people to not be a little
- 20:56Speaker 6: bit more solid. However, I will say I do think
- 21:00Speaker 6: that Aaron and Eliza, just because they off the bat,
- 21:03Speaker 6: you know, had this strong connection and they kind of
- 21:05Speaker 6: have coasted through up until now. They had a little
- 21:07Speaker 6: bit of drama recently, obviously, but so did we. So
- 21:12Speaker 6: I feel like as long as they had that connection
- 21:14Speaker 6: built on early and they kind of had that foundation
- 21:16Speaker 6: before the drama started happening, that they'll be able to
- 21:19Speaker 6: work through it.
- 21:21Speaker 4: Yeah, that's the couple that we think probably has the
- 21:24Speaker 4: best bat.
- 21:25Speaker 3: They also you're also I mean you're probably there's a
- 21:27Speaker 3: lot with Aaron and Eliza that you're not seeing. Probably
- 21:31Speaker 3: that they're spending a lot of time together too, that's
- 21:33Speaker 3: not being shown, I would guess.
- 21:35Speaker 6: Right, yeah, most likely in the.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Blake just thing, I'm not sure where that's going now.
- 21:42Speaker 3: It's nowhere. Yeah, it was like it seemed like Blake
- 21:47Speaker 3: was all for it, but I just don't see it. Yeah,
- 21:51Speaker 3: just kind of I don't know.
- 21:52Speaker 6: Yeah, like you said, there's just there's yeah, like a
- 21:54Speaker 6: lot of like flip flopping right now, and like you're
- 21:56Speaker 6: not too sure like will they won't? They are they
- 21:58Speaker 6: are not? They jumbled right now, there isn't clear like,
- 22:03Speaker 6: oh yeah this is in game, that's end game. They've
- 22:05Speaker 6: been together since the beginning. Yeah, I have thought.
- 22:08Speaker 3: Also Kylie and even like they maybe second Yeah, but
- 22:12Speaker 3: they're they're not, Like they haven't really shown much of
- 22:16Speaker 3: that developing.
- 22:18Speaker 4: In the episode that will air tonight that we are
- 22:21Speaker 4: going to recap they do. They say, I'm falling for
- 22:25Speaker 4: you for the first time. Yeah, so we get a
- 22:27Speaker 4: little bit more of them. We'll see, we'll see.
- 22:31Speaker 5: I'm not totally sold yet. I'm not sold.
- 22:33Speaker 4: I'm not sold in an engagement, but Kylie says she's
- 22:36Speaker 4: down for one. All right, before we let you go,
- 22:38Speaker 4: my boy bank. Question for Kenny, what's your take on
- 22:41Speaker 4: the whole in Sync thing? Did they do all this
- 22:43Speaker 4: teasing for trolls? Did Britney's memoir ruin everything?
- 22:49Speaker 3: What was the the meme I saw was that now
- 22:51Speaker 3: now Justin has to get back with the Sync and
- 22:54Speaker 3: tour to repair himself.
- 22:56Speaker 4: From It's like the only way of going about it now,
- 23:00Speaker 4: like the solo tour that he planned on embarking on
- 23:03Speaker 4: and then possibly an instant tour.
- 23:05Speaker 5: No like no, you have to flip flop them.
- 23:09Speaker 3: At this point. I mean, I it'd be a shame
- 23:13Speaker 3: for this not to happen at this point because they
- 23:17Speaker 3: went through all the trouble. Like you just said, it
- 23:19Speaker 3: can't be just for the Trolls movie.
- 23:21Speaker 4: I know, could.
- 23:23Speaker 3: I just can't see.
- 23:24Speaker 4: It's rude. It's so rude, and Jared brings us up
- 23:27Speaker 4: like weekly. To me, he's just like Ashley, I would
- 23:31Speaker 4: be so pissed if I were you, Like I would
- 23:33Speaker 4: be angry if I saw that all this just led
- 23:37Speaker 4: to trolls and they fake you out the entire time.
- 23:40Speaker 4: He's more mad about it than I.
- 23:42Speaker 3: I agree, because there was like teasers of like possible
- 23:46Speaker 3: super Bowl boy band, super Bowl what not?
- 23:49Speaker 6: What I'm amazing?
- 23:50Speaker 5: Now we have Usher, which is like fine, but like
- 23:52Speaker 5: on But.
- 23:53Speaker 3: I really do think at this point that Justin out
- 23:56Speaker 3: of all of them, needs not even with the Britney thing,
- 23:59Speaker 3: he needs a bounce back in general. I think he does.
- 24:03Speaker 3: The last couple the last album, like with Filthy, I
- 24:07Speaker 3: think was that was that The Man of the Woods.
- 24:08Speaker 4: Was that the last One Man in the Woods, And
- 24:10Speaker 4: it was like eight years No, it was it was
- 24:13Speaker 4: six years ago and that tour.
- 24:15Speaker 6: Didn't do great.
- 24:16Speaker 3: Went to that show.
- 24:17Speaker 7: He have a tour for that.
- 24:19Speaker 5: See, I didn't even know that.
- 24:21Speaker 3: He toured that album and I went to it and
- 24:24Speaker 3: it wasn't great because you know that album wasn't great.
- 24:29Speaker 4: Yeah, no, like we couldn't even I listened to that
- 24:32Speaker 4: album maybe two or three times through and I was like,
- 24:35Speaker 4: it's just never going to come to me.
- 24:36Speaker 5: It's never never going to get it.
- 24:38Speaker 3: And he like, I know, like Timberland's back involved and stuff, and.
- 24:43Speaker 4: Really the Tato thing, like what do we we were
- 24:45Speaker 4: gonna something to have a good new song out there.
- 24:48Speaker 5: Kenny Ben thinks I'm wacky. Kenny gets it.
- 24:52Speaker 3: Something's going on. I mean, you just have it has to.
- 24:55Speaker 4: I think. I think we'll see Lance when we are
- 24:58Speaker 4: doing our weekend in La Ben and you know, you'll
- 25:02Speaker 4: you'll find out with me if that means anything.
- 25:04Speaker 2: It's always so it's always so awkward for me. But
- 25:07Speaker 2: Lance is so nice to Ashley, but it's always so
- 25:09Speaker 2: awkward for me when she really digs into this stuff
- 25:11Speaker 2: because I'm like, I feel like this is but he
- 25:14Speaker 2: handles it so well. He's such a sweet man. He
- 25:16Speaker 2: loves Ashley so much. But it's like she wants she's
- 25:19Speaker 2: gonna just like Bombard. This dude, he's going to like
- 25:21Speaker 2: walk in. She's going to be like Lance. All right,
- 25:23Speaker 2: let's talk, all.
- 25:24Speaker 5: Right, what's going on? Tell me everything's so kind anyway.
- 25:28Speaker 4: Well, mari you have a fun man to just talk
- 25:31Speaker 4: about boy band stuff. And I loved seeing you guys
- 25:33Speaker 4: at the Jonahs concert this summer. That was That was
- 25:35Speaker 4: such a cute picture.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Jonahs was good. Jas was good.
- 25:39Speaker 6: They're my favorite.
- 25:41Speaker 4: They're of your age grange, you know, and I was
- 25:45Speaker 4: I was a little old, but like not too old
- 25:47Speaker 4: because Kevin's still older than me.
- 25:49Speaker 5: So if Kevin's still older than me, then I'm allowed to,
- 25:51Speaker 5: you know, exactly.
- 25:52Speaker 2: All right, Mariy Kenny, we do celebrate your love so
- 25:56Speaker 2: much here on Almost Famous podcast. Thanks for coming on
- 25:58Speaker 2: months ago again and kind of giving us the teaser
- 26:00Speaker 2: to what was happening, and then congratulations on a beautiful
- 26:03Speaker 2: wedding in Puerto Rico with another wedding coming up in
- 26:05Speaker 2: March in Chicago. The two of you are a great
- 26:07Speaker 2: example of what this show can do for good, uh,
- 26:11Speaker 2: in terms of love and life and laughter and everything
- 26:15Speaker 2: else in between. So, Marian Kenny thank you.
- 26:17Speaker 5: We appreciate you.
- 26:18Speaker 4: Yeah, you guys are just adorbs and so beautiful together. Bye.
- 26:25Speaker 2: This has been another episode of the Almost Famous podcast. Again,
- 26:28Speaker 2: congratulations to Marian Kenny on a beautiful love story, one
- 26:31Speaker 2: that we have gotten the witness and watch with their
- 26:33Speaker 2: own eyes. It's always cool to see, you know, these
- 26:36Speaker 2: couples who meet on a beach now or on the show,
- 26:40Speaker 2: you know, come around and get married and make this commitment.
- 26:42Speaker 2: It's really fun for us here on the podcast and
