would delve into Paper 38 and talk about angels and

ministering spirits and give you some ideas on how the angelic

world is set up, what types of angels there are, their duties.

We've talked a little bit before about how angels help us in our

day-to-day life and they sponsor the ideas and thoughts that we

might have that give us those Worshipful feelings.

Or when we're downcast, if we feel the touch of an Angel on

our cheek or on our shoulder, there's a living spirit presence

that is there to minister to us. And there's a good reason for

this and a lot of it's covered in this paper.

So if you want to join with me, we'll just go through Paper 38

and talk about the different kinds of angels there are,

you know, they've done surveys and most of the time, even if

you doesn't matter your religion or your faith or if you have no

religion or no faith, the one thing they've noticed is that

people almost universally believe in angels.

And there's a good reason for that.

And the Urantia book explains it.

And I want to go into a little bit about their world.

I want to take you into their world so that you can understand

who they are and and what their purpose is and how they're

defined by their roles and how they serve us.

And as most papers in the Urantia book, the eloquent use

of language is beyond compare. And you really get a a deep and

rich sense through their descriptions of the different

angelic types. And they draw upon a lot of

scriptural phrases, phrase them into their narrative.

And that is what makes the Urantia Book such a great book.

Often times I think about the first and foremost revelation of

the Urantia Book is that it tells us that we live in a very

vibrant, living, growing universe inhabited by worlds of

time and space just like our own.

And then there's another level of, of, of that which is the

angelic level. Really they're the level just

above us, not that far out of reach of our vision in our, in

our hearing, just beyond the material realm.

So the Uranchovic writers tell us that there are three distinct

orders of the personalities of the infinite Spirit.

The impetuous apostle understood this when he wrote Respecting

Jesus, who has gone to heaven and is on the right hand of God,

angels and authorities and powers being made subject to

him. Angels are the ministering

spirits of time, authorities the messenger, hosts of space,

powers, the higher personalities of the infinite Spirit.

So there's three kinds of ministering spirits, authorities

and powers and spirits of time, and that's what the impetuous

apostle was referring to. I'm curious anybody who might

want to take a stab at this. I wonder who they were referring

to when they were saying impetuous apostle.

I guess I'd have to go to the Bible and figure out who said

that phrase. Jesus has gone to heaven and is

on the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers being

made subject to him. Would that be Paul?

Peter, perhaps as the Super naphem.

Let me continue on. Angels are the ministering

spirits of time as the Super naphem in the central universe

and the 2nd naphem in the Super universe.

So the seraphim with the associated cherubim and sanibim

constitute the angelic core of a local universe.

So in the central universe, which is the original universe

that emerged, the universe of Habona, they're known as

supernaphem. And the Super universe level,

which would be our our super universe of U versa, they're

known as the second nathem. And on our local universe level

known as the Seraphim. And then their associated

cherubim and Sanibel. And we've heard of cherub.

I'm not sure if we if the Lexicon Sanibel predated the

Urantia book, but I've heard of and you've heard of cherub

cherubs depicted as like baby angels mostly.

The Seraphim are all fairly uniform in design from universe

to universe. Throughout all seven of the

Super universes. They show a minimum of

variation. They are the most nearly

standard of all spirit types of personal beings.

Their various orders constitute the core of the skilled and

common ministers of the local creations #1 the origin of

Seraphim. This which gets into the details

about how Seraphim come into being.

How do they come into being? Is there a time when they emerge

from some force of some kind? Seraphim are created by the

Universe Mother's Spirit and have been projected in unit

formation 41,472 at a time ever since the creation of the

Pattern Angels and certain angelic archetypes In the early

times of Nebadon, the Creator's Sun and the Universe,

representative of the Infinite Spirit, collaborate in the

creation of a large number of Suns and other Universe

personalities. Following the completion of this

united effort, the Sun engages in the first creation of the

Material Sons, the first of the Sect creatures, while the

Universe Mother's Spirit concurrently engages in her

initial solitary effort at spirit reproduction.

Thus begins the creation of the seraphic hosts of a local

universe. So you're taken back into time

to the beginnings of our own local universe headed by Christ,

Michael, and the daughter of the Infinite Spirit, the creative

Mother Spirit. So while he's busy producing in

his divine endowment the sons of God, the veranda deck sons, the

Melchizedek sons, the material sons, the ascenders, the life

carrier sons, ourselves, we're part of that order.

And there's another order that's parallel with us, and that would

be under the domain of the Mother Spirit, hence the angels,

the Seraphim, the cherubim, the Sanobim.

These angelic orders are projected at the time of

planning for the evolution of mortal will creatures.

The creation of Seraphim dates from the attainment of relative

personality by the Universe Mother Spirit, not as the later

coordinate of the Master Sun, but as the earthly creative

helper of the Creator Son. Previous to this event, the

Seraphim on duty in Nebedon were temporarily loaned by a

neighboring universe. Seraphim are are still being

periodically created. The universe of Nebedon is still

in the making. The Universe Mother Spirit never

ceases creative activity in a growing and perfecting universe

#2 on their angelic natures. This is where it really gets

interesting and explains their similarities to us and their

differences. Angels do not have material

bodies, but they are definite and discreet beings.

They are of spirit nature and origin.

Though invisible to mortals. They perceive you as you are in

the flesh without the aid of Transformers or translators.

They intellectually understand the mode of mortal life and they

share all of man's non sensuous emotions and sentiments.

They appreciate and greatly enjoy your efforts in music, art

and real humor. They are fully cognizant of your

moral struggles and spiritual difficulties.

They love human beings, and only good can result from your

efforts to understand and love them.

It's a nice reassuring feeling, isn't it, that they have this

compassion and even though that we don't see them as they are,

they see us as we are, and they're actually there to help

us in our daily struggles. Though Seraphim are very

affectionate and sympathetic beings, they are not sex emotion

creatures. They are much as you will be on

the mansion worlds, where you will be quote, neither merry nor

be given in marriage, but will be as the angels of heaven.

Nevertheless, in dealing with sex creatures, it is our custom

to speak of those beings of more direct descent from the Father

and the sons as the sons of God, while referring to the children

of the Spirit as the daughters of God.

Angels are therefore commonly designated by feminine pronouns

on the sex planets. The seraphim are so created as

to function on both spiritual and literal levels.

There are few phases of morontia or spirit activity which are not

open to their ministrations While in personal status.

Angels are not far removed from human beings and certain

functional performances, Seraphim far transcend them.

They possess many powers far beyond human comprehension.

For example, you've been told that the quote very hairs of

And it is true, they are. But a seraphim does not spend

her time counting them and keeping the numbers corrected

and up to date. Angels possess inherent and

automatic, that is automatic as far as you could perceive powers

of knowing. Knowing such things, you would

truly regard a Seraphim as a mathematical prodigy.

Therefore, numerous duties which would be tremendous task for

mortals are performed with exceeding ease by Seraphim.

Angels are superior to you and spiritual status, but they they

are not your judges or accusers. No matter what your faults, the

angels although greater in power and might bring no accusation

against you. Angels do not sit in judgement

on mankind, neither should individual mortals prejudge

their fellow creatures. You do well to love them, but

you should not adore them. Angels are not subjects of

They will share their places of rest and worship with you

throughout the whole Marancha and subsequent spirit ascent.

I want to spend a little bit time about the training because

I want to focus in on the cherubim and the sanibim in all

essential endowments. Cherubim and Sanibim are some

are similar to seraphim. They have the same origin, but

not always the same destiny. They are wonderfully

intelligent, marvelously efficient, touchingly

affectionate, and almost human. They are the lowest orders of

angels, hence all near akin to the more progressive types of

human beings on evolutionary worlds.

Cherubim and sanibim are inherently associated

functionally united. One is an energy positive

personality, the other energy negative.

The right hand deflector or positively charged Angel is the

cherubim, the senior or controlling personality.

The left hand deflector or negatively charged Angel is the

sanobim, the complement of the being.

Each type of Angel is very limited in solitary function,

hence they usually serve in pairs.

When serving independent of their seraphic directors,

they're more than ever dependent on mutual contact and always

function together. Cherubim and Sanobim are the

faithful and efficient aids of these Seraphim ministers, and

all seven orders of Seraphim are provided with these subordinate

assistance. Cherubim and Sanobim serve for

ages in these capacities, but they do not accompany seraphim

on assignments beyond the confines of the local universe.

The Cherubim and the Sanobim are the routine spirit workers on

the individual worlds of the systems.

On a non personal assignment and in an emergency, they can serve

in the place of a seraphic pair, but they never function, even

temporarily, as attending angels to human beings.

That is an exclusive seraphic privilege.

When assigned to a planet, cherubim enter the local course

of training, including a study of planetary uses, usages, and

language. The ministering spirits of time

are all bilingual, speaking the language of the local universe

on their of their origin and that of their native super

universe. By studying the schools of the

realms, they acquire additional tongues.

Cherubim and Sanobim, like Seraphim and all other orders of

spirit beings, are continuous, continuously engaged in efforts

at self improvement. Only such as the subordinate

beings of power, control and energy direction are incapable

of progression. All creatures having actual or

potential personality volition seek new achievements.

Cherubim and Sanobim are by nature very near the morontia

level of existence and they proved to be the most efficient

in the border land work of the physical, morontial and

spiritual domains. These children of the local

universe Mother Spirit are characterized by quote 4th

creatures, and that's a biblical term, much as the Habona

servitals and the conciliator commissions.

Every 4th cherubim and every 4th Sanobim are quasi material, very

definitely resembling the Morontia level of existence.

These angelic 4th creatures are of great assistance to the

Seraphim in the more literal phases of their universe and

planetary activities. Such Marantia Cherubim also

perform many indispensable borderland tasks on the Marantia

training world and are assigned to the service of the Marantia

companions in large numbers. They are to the Marantia's fears

about what the Midway creatures are to the evolutionary planets

on the inhabited world. These Marantia Cherubim

frequently work and liaison with the midway creatures.

Cherubim and midway creatures are distinctly separate orders

of beings, but they have dissimilar origins, but they

disclose great similarity in nature and function.

There's a couple other chapters. Let's go ahead and jump to nine,

since we bring up the subject of the midway creatures for those

who are not familiar about this unique order of beings.

And if you look through the Urantia papers, you find that

the midway creatures are actually the result of both Adam

and Eve. So they are the offspring, the

spiritual offspring of Adam and Eve, and then also the primary

midwayers who emerged during the days of Calagastia, which will

save for a separate discussion. But Needless to say, the Urantia

Book tells us Midway Creatures, creatures who are just above the

material level, are actually the permanent citizens of our Earth.

The Midway creatures have a threefold classification.

They are properly classified with the ascending sons of God.

They are factually grouped with the orders of permanent

citizenship, while they functionally reckoned with the

ministering spirits of time because of their intimate and

effective association with the angelic hosts in the work of

serving mortal man on the individual worlds of space.

These unique creatures appear on the majority of the inhabited

worlds and are always found on the decimal or life experiment

planets such as Urantia. Midwayers are two types, primary

and secondary, and they appear by the following techniques #1

Primary Midwayers. The more spiritual group are a

somewhat standardized order of beings who are uniformly derived

from the modified Ascendant mortal Staffs of the Planetary

Prince. The number of primary Midway

creatures is always 50,000, and no planet enjoying their

ministry has a larger group and #2 the secondary Midwayers.

The more material group of these creatures vary greatly in

numbers on the different worlds, though the average is around

50,000. They are variously derived from

their planetary biological uplifters, the Adam and Eves.

Or from their immediate progeny. There are no less than 24

diverse techniques involved in the production of these

secondary midway creatures on the evolutionary worlds of

space. The mode of origin for the group

on Urantia was unusual and extraordinary.

Neither of these groups is an evolutionary accident.

Both are essential features in the predetermined plans of the

universe. Architects and their appearance

on the evolving worlds as the opportune juncture is in

are energized intellectually and spiritually by the angelic

technique and are uniform in intellectual status.

The seven Adjutant Mind spirits make no contact with them, and

only the 6th and 7th, the Spirit of Worship and the Spirit of

Wisdom, are able to minister to the secondary group.

Secondary midwayers are physically energized by the

Adamic technique, spiritually encircuited by the Seraphic, and

intellectually endowed with the Morontia transition type of

mind. They are divided into 4 physical

types, 7 orders spiritually, and 12 levels of intellectual

response to the joint ministry of the last two adjutant

spirits, which is Worship and Wisdom and The Mirage of Mind.

These diversities determine their differential of activity

and of planetary assignment. Primary Midwayers resemble

angels more than mortals. The Secondary The secondary

orders are much more like human beings.

Each renders invaluable assistance to the other in the

execution of their manifold planetary assignments.

The primary ministers can achieve liaison cooperation with

both Marantia and Spirit energy controllers and mind circuiters.

The secondary group can establish working connections

only with the physical controllers and the material

circuit manipulators, but since each order of midwayer can

establish perfect synchrony of contact with the other, either

group is thereby able to achieve practical utilization of the

entire energy gamut extending from the gross physical power of

the material worlds up through the transition phases of

universe energies to the higher spirit reality forces of the

celestial realms. The gap between the material and

the spiritual worlds is perfectly bridged by the serial

association of Mortal man, Secondary midway, primary

midwayer, Morantia, Cherubim, and Mid Bay's Cherubim and

seraphim. So they've just given you the

scale. It shows you from material

slowly to the morantia, then to the spiritual and where we are

on that scale. And we're just below the level

of the Midwayer, who are just below the level of the Cherubim,

who are just below the level of the Seraphim.

In the personal experience of an individual mortal, these diverse

levels are undoubtedly more or less unified and made personally

meaningful by the unobserved and mysterious operations of the

Divine Thought Adjuster. And that's the spirit fragment

in you. On the normal worlds, the

primary Midwayers maintain their service as the Intelligent Core

and the celestial entertainers in behalf of the Planetary

Prince, while the Secondary Ministers continue their

cooperation with the Adamic regime in furthering the cause

of progressing planetary civilization.

In case of the defection of the Planetary Prince and the failure

of the material Sun, as occurred on Urantia, the Midway creatures

become the wards of the System of Sovereign and serve under the

direct guidance of the acting Custodians of the planet.

But only on three other worlds in Satania do these beings

function as one group under unified leadership, as do the

United Midway ministers of Urantia.

Now there's a little bit more, I'll read this.

Midwayers remain for long periods of time on the inhabited

world, but it's faithful to their trust.

They will eventually and most certainly be recognized for

their age long service in maintaining the sovereignty of

the Creator Sun. They will be duly rewarded for

their patient ministry to the material mortals on their world

of time and space. Sooner or later, all accredited

midway creatures will be mustered into the ranks of the

ascending sons of God, and will be duly initiated into the long

adventure of the Paradise ascent and company with those very

mortals of animal origin, their earthly brethren whom they so

jealously guard, guarded, and so effectively served during the

long planetary sojourn. And this was presented by

Melchizedek, acting on the request of the chief of the

Seraphic Hosts of Nebedon. And so now you know the rest of

the story. Now you know more fully of their

natures, their origins, how they came to be, the different levels

of angels depending on where you're at in the universe, and

then all the way down to the world of time and space.

We have even then, cherubim, sanobim, seraphim, midwayers,

and they're all working on our behalf.

That's the amazing thing. They're all working on our

behalf. It has been built in.

And this is what I mean to say when we talk about the universe

is full of life. The great revelation of this

Urancho book is that we are any living a vibrant universe and we

all have a role, we all have a part, and we all have a destiny.

And it doesn't contradict any Christian teachings.

It doesn't violate any tenets of of Catholicism, doesn't

compromise the teachings of Mormonism.

It doesn't under gird or threaten the authority of the

church or the Bible or scripture.

It simply tells it like it is. It's revealing and opening up

the curtain and letting us see what's behind the scenes.
