- 0:55Very disappointed. Well, you ain't gonna be no bag,
- 0:58no bag over my head. Look, we moved on the frogs
- 1:03frogs the frogs, as well as they could fight for right now.
- 1:07That was not, that was not a fight.
- 1:12They were scared. You saw me, put the stop, the
- 1:15fight Mimi. The group chat so I'll wear it.
- 1:23It's all good. Yeah, that's that wasn't

- 1:35I'm looking forward to the show tonight.
- 1:37Love it. And the last but not least
- 1:39jealous, as always Governor always want to be where you are
- 1:42on that Beach. Every now and then I just have
- 1:47to go back. I mean, today was a nice day.
- 1:52See you halfway there here, you know, just just to remind
- 1:57myself, you know that I am one smooth brother.
- 2:02Anyway anyway smooth. Hello everybody.
- 2:06I'm excited, we are Wow. First track meet, we leave next
- 2:14tomorrow and we compete Friday and yeah, we're ready to go.
- 2:19So, let's get this on. Right, I know who has their
- 2:24backpack? No hand.
- 2:28One hand exactly. No, I'm not, not even a little
- 2:33bit done deal. So, all right, back to Wednesday
- 2:42night. Thursday recording night
- 2:43business. Yes, I know.
- 2:45Kyle make it go faster. What is the goal of the relay
- 2:50selection for World Championships?
- 2:52And the Olympics is it to select a team to represent the us or to
- 2:57select the best team to represent the US.
- 3:06So you guys are waiting for me to go what it is, or what it
- 3:18should be. I think, I think a little bit of
- 3:24both. That's it.
- 3:30Well, I mean I think we're going to ask what it is.
- 3:32I think it's just it's very political, it's very A
- 3:41political. Now, the people are yeah, and I
- 3:46think based on our put, the best
- 3:58really out that he gives his chance to win.
- 4:01That should be the problem process of this, you know, the
- 4:04selection. And I don't think that's what
- 4:06happens. I think it's trying to please
- 4:09people and appease people eyepiece.
- 4:13Don't honor their also, I think the big, the big did the big
- 4:17issue for me. Here is we watched this evolved
- 4:20over the years. I think that, you know, just to
- 4:24do a little revisionist history. No way back in like, in the 70s
- 4:28and the 80s they were using people.
- 4:30Oh, from the 2 and the 4, run, the full white here, and run the
- 4:34football ones, and then we for a while there, we got away with
- 4:38running the first four guys from the hundred and now that become
- 4:42some sort of rite of passage, right?
- 4:45If your top for you have to be in the relay and you know and I
- 4:50was one of those guys up until the last couple years.
- 4:52I'm like you know, that's not the best way.
- 4:57Is that the cleanest way? Is that?
- 4:59The easiest ways that the The safest way to pick a relay.
- 5:02Absolutely. Because that the best way to
- 5:05pick a relay to win the championship.
- 5:08Absolutely not. Because if that's the process,
- 5:12we don't see House of Phoenix, on a whole lot of reasons.
- 5:15We never get to see her at all. so, very well said, I compare
- 5:27this to what happened to USA Basketball up until 1992.
- 5:35Well, right before 1992, when they started to realize that the
- 5:38world was starting to catch up with him.
- 5:40And so, the dream team was born and what has happened since?
- 5:49Well, the Assumption has been that.
- 5:52Well, we have the best basketball players in the world.
- 5:54So of course we're just going to run rampant over every team out
- 6:01there. Well, what's happened?
- 6:03Well Athens happened. Okay.
- 6:06And I think the adjustments that USA Basketball has made is it
- 6:12we've got to get these players. With each other and we have to
- 6:17get them to know each other. Before we get on that plane, to
- 6:21go play at the Olympics. And I think the same thing is,
- 6:27is evident here. I think the USA will always in
- 6:32my opinion. I mean, yes, we saw the Golden
- 6:35Age on the men's side from in Jamaica and they dominated for
- 6:42their period of time. I don't think.
- 6:44Any doubt that USA has the best athletes best foreigners on
- 6:49especially on the men's side and there has to be more familiarity
- 6:54in my opinion. These athletes have to get to
- 6:58know each other more and there has to be more in-depth work
- 7:02with who does what who is best at what role and you know until
- 7:11that happens and there's a way to get past The politics.
- 7:17I think we'll run into situations where we almost did
- 7:21it or you know, we have those situations as catastrophic
- 7:25issues with batons and stuff like that.
- 7:28That shouldn't happen. Yeah.
- 7:32So you know we've got to be it's got to be more in depth.
- 7:39That look, this is this is a smooth relay that's going on
- 7:42right here. I think it just to pick up
- 7:47exactly where the governor left off.
- 7:49I think the key to all of this is exactly the last part that
- 7:54you just said rolls. The reason the u.s. used to win
- 8:00is we would put people in rolls right like Calvin, Smith was the
- 8:06best third leg in the world and nobody argued that Dennis
- 8:09Mitchell. Took that Mantra from him and
- 8:12and then nobody argued that and, and To be honest, the debacle
- 8:16started and look, I love Dennis, he's my dude.
- 8:20But the debacle started when Dennis one the 96 trials and he
- 8:27decided and his people decided that he had to run anchor.
- 8:31He deserve to I don't I'm just telling you the narrative,
- 8:36right. The narrative that was out
- 8:37there. Is that make sense The Narrative
- 8:39that was out there? Was that, you know, Dennis had
- 8:43to run anchor because he The u.s. champ when, in the reality
- 8:48is it's like yeah but he's the best guy in the world that the
- 8:51job he was already doing. Yes.
- 8:53Right. And and look Carl didn't make
- 8:56the team in the 4 by 1 but you know what, Carl was the best
- 9:00anchor in the history of the world until bolt.
- 9:03So at the end of the day, probably should have put it on
- 9:06the relay, you know, and all of those things and it just kind of
- 9:12went from 96 on it, just kind of went awry.
- 9:15So Sometimes we got it right, right?
- 9:17But the process itself became something else.
- 9:20Starting their, like we go back at 84 Willie Gault Rivers.
- 9:23Like he's a hurdler, right? So it is it like there, there's
- 9:26precedent for this stuff, always has been, right?
- 9:29But at the end of the day it's like listen I'll say it right
- 9:32now so that everybody can hear me.
- 9:35Grant Holloway is the best third leg in the world.
- 9:37Now if we don't figure out a way to get his coach on board him on
- 9:42board the process on Board all know.
- 9:46I'm say not not, not but they don't agree.
- 9:48I'm saying that they not. Look, we all got to be on the
- 9:50same page with this, right? And until somebody does, like if
- 9:54I'm his coach, I'm not risking metals, and life after the, you
- 9:59know, after the Olympics or World Championships, Whatever It
- 10:02Is For Real, a process that's broken.
- 10:05But if we all could agree to do things that make sense, right?
- 10:07And put people where they belong, Then we probably won't
- 10:11lose ever, right? Like if you just look like if
- 10:15you look at what's in the United States currently that we know is
- 10:18going to make world championship teams between the 100 the 200
- 10:23who 110 hurdles and the 400, right?
- 10:26If we just look at that pool and say who's the best for guys, no
- 10:31chance. We lose none.
- 10:33If you do the same thing on the women's side we got it.
- 10:37We look the only chance we could lose is the That Jamaica has.
- 10:41The best on paper horsepower that's ever existed right.
- 10:46But we beat them last year so that just tells you it's
- 10:49possible but there's no question that on the men's side we should
- 10:55never lose. The irony of all this mess, I
- 11:06love Team USA selection process for the individual events.
- 11:14We don't care who you are, we don't care about your
- 11:17reputation. We don't care for which you have
- 11:19come, you come to the meat, either your top three, or you
- 11:24sit down, and for the individual events.
- 11:27I think that is the absolute best way.
- 11:29A to pick a team. I also think that is the
- 11:33absolute stupidest way to pick a relay because the skills
- 11:38required to run the relay, especially the four by one have
- 11:42absolutely nothing to do with the skills required to make team
- 11:46in your individual events. I've said that a million times,
- 11:50some people give me push back some people, roll with it.
- 11:54But how many times do we have to learn that?
- 11:56That is obviously true before we just accept it.
- 12:01I think the way that it should be has been echoed, very
- 12:05eloquently by my colleagues and I would roll with all that 100%.
- 12:11The irony is where we don't care about anybody's stats or
- 12:17feelings. In the individual events, we go
- 12:22out of our way, to kowtow to, everybody's feelings, including
- 12:26the people that don't even run coaches agents.
- 12:30Administrators, everybody's feelings matter when it comes to
- 12:34real a time and it just doesn't make any sense.
- 12:38So I've always said that that starts with leadership, so you
- 12:42have to have people in charge with the emotional and mental
- 12:47capabilities of making hard decisions until on everybody to
- 12:50kick rocks. And then, of course, they also
- 12:53have to have the skill set to evaluate the realities of
- 12:57people's talents and what they are.
- 12:59Good at what they have shown to be good at what they have.
- 13:03Shown not to be good at and somehow we keep missing on these
- 13:07issues. So, you know, as a fan of Team
- 13:11USA, I will continue to do what I can and and root for our
- 13:18success, but there doesn't really seem any.
- 13:22It doesn't seem like it's getting better actually from the
- 13:26setup and the execution standpoint.
- 13:29So I feel like we're going to keep having these issues but how
- 13:33it should be, is we have to consider all factors and have
- 13:40the people in place that know how to do that?
- 13:46Agreed. So there is obviously a lot to
- 13:50go into it and different experiences from all different
- 13:54Source active. So I'll be interested to see how
- 13:56this plays out and runs out runs.
- 13:58Its course, I should say moving on.
- 14:03It is it was announced its been spoke about spoken about but now
- 14:07has officially announced that that there are new NCAA rules
- 14:10pertaining to baseball and softball specifically, in its
- 14:14first roll out. Let's call it.
- 14:18That all volunteer coaches are now going to be considered paid
- 14:22coaches and allowed to recruit essentially not / the words
- 14:28already sent. I don't think it's the way that
- 14:31it reads. I just gave them an extra coach.
- 14:34Yes. Oh, I thought it was more.
- 14:36I'm sorry. I love.
- 14:38So they just, they just so they both get what for now?
- 14:44EP. Yes.
- 14:46Yeah. So you go get it.
- 14:48Now I thought it was all are not all.
- 14:51I shouldn't say all I guess maybe that's we'll see.
- 14:53Okay, so the weight of the, if I'm correct me if I'm wrong.
- 14:56But baseball and softball already had one, volunteer
- 15:02coach, right? Three-page.
- 15:05So deadly 33, paid one volunteer.
- 15:08So now they can have for pay, right?
- 15:11So all of this is kind of been come about because The NCAA was
- 15:16sued over the volunteer coach role because they that because
- 15:21they're I don't know what the lawsuit would entail, but they
- 15:24were sued basically, because you're limiting us, a person's
- 15:28ability to make a living. So now, you can ask for coaches
- 15:33and I talked to my knowledge, I think the volunteer coaches
- 15:36going away, there's no more collagen coaches relevant, not
- 15:41relevant and CW. Should probably start, stop
- 15:44trying to get these lawsuits because of Not winning, but
- 15:48anyhow what? What might they need for track
- 15:55and field? The new rule.
- 15:59Sorry. Wow.
- 16:01I'll jump in first just to I guess.
- 16:04Give this some give this, this train a path.
- 16:08I was at the Abc, a, which is the American baseball, coaches
- 16:12association. Which by the way, just to just
- 16:14four. Understanding, I don't know how
- 16:18many people go to the USA, Track and Field annual meeting, or how
- 16:22many people attend the u.s. TF?
- 16:26Triple CA, but I know that if you combine them, it's not 8600
- 16:31coaches. And that's how many people in
- 16:35participants were at the Abc. A and I will tell you, 8590 nine
- 16:40of them were adamant that like baseball was not ever going to
- 16:44be played again, unless we get at.
- 16:46At least four coaches they asked for five, just so we're clear.
- 16:51They were mad that they were lumped in there with hockey,
- 16:53which I thought was wild. But long story short is this, I
- 16:56kept saying to them, which is where I'm going the key to all
- 17:01of this is what happens when track and field.
- 17:03And so, even though the legislation for them came out
- 17:05first, what I personally believe is, they gave baseball one more
- 17:10and softball one more because they're going to give track and
- 17:13field to more in Combined programs.
- 17:16Because if you look at the numbers, they're incredibly
- 17:18similar, there was 11 .76. All Ships 435 man on the
- 17:23baseball roster and there's 12.6 scholarships for roughly 45 to
- 17:2750 men on a track and field team.
- 17:28So those Sports mirror each other very well.
- 17:32But yeah, I think the biggest thing is that at the end of the
- 17:35day like the volunteer title for the baseball Vale was just
- 17:45semantics, like the the Follies in the SEC, make six figures.
- 17:50But they don't but they can't get insurance from the school
- 17:54because it's not a paid position.
- 17:59So you know that's going to those kind of semantics and and
- 18:04workarounds are going to go away and I think what is going to be
- 18:08interesting is that as it pertains my particular position?
- 18:11Would it pertains to track is if and when track and field goes
- 18:16from 6 in a combined program 28, which is what I do think is
- 18:20going to happen, the question is going to be, are they going to
- 18:23limit the volunteers and track and field?
- 18:26Because if you get rid of the volunteers and track and field,
- 18:28there's some track. And feel staffs that are going
- 18:29to shrink. Well, don't we have a limit
- 18:34already where it's one prevent room, the limit is what a gender
- 18:39perspective. So it's six. so I have a couple
- 18:44of things that pop up and it's not that I have Solutions or
- 18:50anything, but I don't I don't know how it is around the
- 18:56country. I mean, I can only speak on the
- 18:59places that have been but there is legislation from UTSA.
- 19:06That says any to say, post Collegian, whatever that wants.
- 19:13To use our facilities, have to be a volunteer coach, but there
- 19:17has to be some role that they that they have as part of the
- 19:23staff. Yeah.
- 19:25And if that goes away, I'm wondering if Said, institution
- 19:33us included. Is there anything any
- 19:37communication between the NCAA and said institution and says
- 19:41that is still a thing? Or does that just go away?
- 19:47And I mean, mean this, just the group of us right here.
- 19:54I mean, I think we all understand, you know how
- 19:58critical that is to the a lot of sport of track and field in the
- 20:03United States because They either, they're not enough
- 20:10professional coaches out there, that can handle the amount of
- 20:14athletes that come out of the NCAA track world and, you know,
- 20:20and so for some athletes, I mean exhibit a Florida.
- 20:29They are just fine staying there and continuing to train with
- 20:34sir, lucious, white and I'm wondering how this new
- 20:41regulation and everything is going to change that if at all.
- 20:46Number two, you know, in terms of the first world problems,
- 20:55What would I see happening? Now what I?
- 20:57You know and I remember I remember this was years ago, I
- 21:04contacted Nebraska and they had a position open and here I am
- 21:11thinking, okay. Well you know I mean I'm just
- 21:16quite inquiring to see, you know what you guys are doing and head
- 21:22coach says to me know, No, Kareem that that is strictly a
- 21:25recruiting position and I was like, really he goes.
- 21:30Yeah, that's that, that person pretty much goes on the road
- 21:36does all the the background work.
- 21:38There's all that stuff, handles visits, all that stuff and he
- 21:42gets paid to do that. There was no coaching involved,
- 21:45I said, oh okay. So now, you know, so with that
- 21:52in mind, You know, I can see a director of Ops being a major
- 21:59position. Now on attract staff, I could
- 22:02see a recruiting coordinator being a major position, you
- 22:08know. On a track staff, I can see
- 22:11single event coaches, you know, volunteer pole vault coaches
- 22:15that have been, you know, riding shotgun with these staffs and
- 22:21that have been able to handle their own and maybe, Have their
- 22:24own business on the side. Maybe they do camps, whatever,
- 22:29multi, coaches, multiple, multi events coaches.
- 22:33That have a very specific skill and for the schools that have
- 22:39the wherewithal and have the resources, I can see a situation
- 22:43where those coaches now have, you know, economy and they are
- 22:48able and they are paid for what they do, you know?
- 22:53Last Lastly, Arkansas, men and women.
- 22:57Okay. How does that affect those two
- 23:00staffs right now? They've done a lot with three
- 23:05coaches. Now, here's a question.
- 23:07Do they have three volunteers each?
- 23:12Is that how that works? Okay, so now we have a situation
- 23:19where they can go out and hire another position.
- 23:23That is going to be huge. I think in my opinion that's
- 23:27going to be huge for a program like that.
- 23:31So a lot of like I said, I'm not coming with Solutions there, you
- 23:38know, but I'm thinking and pure in just thinking about how this
- 23:43new legislation could affect track and field as a whole.
- 23:49Well I think that it helps the Single gender programs much more
- 23:55than that. Yes, dual Jenna program, yes,
- 23:58read in the door, gender program, you know, you've come,
- 24:02you can get everything covered as long as you staff.
- 24:04It correctly single-gender, not as easily.
- 24:09And so, I think that see, I think that the director of Ops
- 24:14roles already big, I think that, but remember, this is a new.
- 24:19This has been coaching position, so you can if you hire director
- 24:23Olaf's, they still don't think can't coach.
- 24:25Yes, so that's it. Do any good.
- 24:28So, I think, for me, it's going to be interesting to see how
- 24:32many they give track and field because they're gonna, they're
- 24:35gonna go along with the model. It just went with.
- 24:38That means, if your they, they had one, they gave him one.
- 24:45We have six under going to give us 6.
- 24:48Yeah. Or are they going to give us
- 24:49three or two going to give us whatever.
- 24:51Right? And say, let's be realistic.
- 24:53I don't need six more big coaches and that's the other
- 25:04issue that comes up here is okay so they can say what they want.
- 25:08But what's one of the institutions going to do now?
- 25:13Because in baseball softball is one position is not as bad,
- 25:16right? But so if he is, it comes along
- 25:20and says, hey, you had sick, you can have six, how many People
- 25:23were really that you hire six more people.
- 25:25Mmm. And then this is going to have
- 25:27an issue with all the other sports that I volunteer coaches.
- 25:32So that means that's a lot of coaches being added on a campus
- 25:37or just even just a stab. So I mean I don't I don't see a
- 25:42world honestly, when we get 6, just, I don't think it's gonna
- 25:45happen, but it didn't also might be easy way for the NCAA to say,
- 25:49hey we're going to give you six and you pay you you think is
- 25:53there's somebody out there in the world is going to say, okay,
- 25:56baseball had one, you gave them one.
- 25:59If you don't give track until 6:00, there's a lawsuit coming.
- 26:03Yeah, somebody's going to sleep and they don't have time for
- 26:07that because they've already been sued, all right?
- 26:12Yeah. So here's my question.
- 26:16So I know I'm talking about Clyde, not question.
- 26:20Perspective. So in the governor's response
- 26:24and you kind of echoed it, we talked about it was mentioned
- 26:28that the volunteer position gets paid.
- 26:30And so now, the volunteer pool will Coach the volunteer,
- 26:34whatever coach is now made into a position. in opposition to
- 26:39that, we eliminate pull ball together and per se because we
- 26:44don't want to pay that position and invest money in that
- 26:47position rather have a second, but you wouldn't have to
- 26:51eliminate it because if you want illuminate, living room now,
- 27:00It's less costly when you don't have to pay the coach.
- 27:02Mmm, what I'm saying is is that that's no different than now you
- 27:07don't have to pay the coach now Right.
- 27:11And volunteer, volunteer program was, I see what you're saying,
- 27:16but there's no reason to eliminate an event group when
- 27:21you can add a coach. Right, it's like is important.
- 27:26If the vault is important on your campus, you're going to pay
- 27:29the volunteer to be a full, you know, and I'm saying that it's
- 27:32not important. And I'm saying, if I have to
- 27:34choose for hiring a second, Sprint, coach, or taking on the
- 27:38volunteer pole vault coach, Yeah, they're going to belittle
- 27:44that Cobalt group a little bit more.
- 27:46I don't want to see a little bit more but like I don't know what
- 27:49I'm thinking of the you all know what I'm trying to say.
- 27:52And I really, I don't think I ain't gonna lie to you.
- 27:56You took this left and I'm now confused.
- 27:58Yeah, I'm very confused. Dee Dee.
- 28:07But if you wanted to emphasize the pole vault, you would have
- 28:11done it already. Like if you didn't care about
- 28:14the polvo you wouldn't have a volunteer program.
- 28:19And if you have even policy have long as you have a pro bowl
- 28:22coach and volunteer promo, codes is doing the job.
- 28:26You gotta hire them. Now, you have one that's not
- 28:29doing a good job. So, my larger understanding of
- 28:38this whole particular issue is kind of simple.
- 28:42The ncaa's tired of getting sued.
- 28:46And so, they have been advised to stop doing things, that would
- 28:51land them to be sued. One of which, in this round is
- 28:56telling universities how you can limit staffs because if
- 29:02University of Florida has the wallet to hire 20 coaches, Let
- 29:06him. Why do you care?
- 29:08If the SEC wants to hire 20 coaches, let him and let the SEC
- 29:13put a regulation on that the NCAA wants to get out of the
- 29:17business of legislating people's finances, because that is
- 29:21obviously a way to get sued. Same way.
- 29:24You can't legislate the kids and how much they they can make.
- 29:27Right? So what this particular
- 29:30baseball/softball moves means to me is that track and field is
- 29:35going to get Eat some more permissions to hire more
- 29:37coaches, But ultimately, it's a first world problem issue
- 29:40because I can tell you right now, I'm gonna get no more
- 29:42coaches. Okay.
- 29:45And there's a lot of people that aren't in a financial position
- 29:49to do. So ultimately, I think it's
- 29:51good. Again, if a campus can hire,
- 29:54more people, great, that's better for our profession.
- 29:57That means there will be more people working and hopefully
- 30:01more people working in higher-paid positions, that's
- 30:04awesome. Because there's no world out
- 30:07there in the business world where you can tell something
- 30:08about me, they can hire a new Corporation and that's exactly
- 30:11the point. It's so simple yet the NCAA has
- 30:15made it so difficult for so long.
- 30:16Right? My thing is to the D Ops issue,
- 30:22that's also jokingly but seriously, that's also one of
- 30:26those first world problem issues, right?
- 30:28Like the D Ops market for the, for the places that have Ops.
- 30:33There's there's a, like, a real commitment to pay those people.
- 30:38Well and there are very few people who are very high
- 30:42Commodities in that game, right? But the majority of us don't
- 30:46have those things. Me and my staff of -2 from what
- 30:51I'm supposed to have on paper are handling all our Ops on our
- 30:55own, right? I would love a d Ops.
- 30:58If you came me right now and say coach, we have a chunk of money,
- 31:00you can have another coach or you can have Ops.
- 31:02I'm An Ops all day all day, you know but that's me that's the
- 31:09way I've set my stuff up. I can afford to do like I'm good
- 31:12on the coaching thing II just need.
- 31:14I need some other help, right? But that's a campus by campus
- 31:18situation at the end of the day. Like I said, more people working
- 31:21and hopefully paid better is good for all.
- 31:23So yay. That's where I'm at with it.
- 31:28Yeah, I mean, look, if at the end of the day, let's let's,
- 31:33let's see if we use a working number of, we just use the
- 31:35baseball softball number. We just use two for every, you
- 31:39know, for every Campus of combined programs, right.
- 31:42That's what 28 more jobs in the SEC.
- 31:45That's soon to be 24 more jobs, in the Big 12, and blah, blah,
- 31:52blah, blah blah, right? Solana.
- 31:58It's it's positive movement for the coaching profession, for
- 32:03sure. Mal's.
- 32:12Can't leave this one untouched. NFL predictions.
- 32:22Now, what I want to know where to begin.
- 32:25Here's what I want. It's a serious question.
- 32:29No, it's a serious question because the playoffs are getting
- 32:32ready to start. Thankfully, are we doing
- 32:37Wildcard Weekend predictions and hold it there?
- 32:41Or we going all night? I like that idea.
- 32:43Because I am totally unprepared for all the way through.
- 32:51So, You have to start, okay? I will.
- 32:59I will go to first of all. I think I always knew this, but
- 33:05this year, it's very, very obvious.
- 33:08The NFL is extremely Petty. Oh yeah.
- 33:11And oh, they are leaning into the Petit with this Wildcard
- 33:15Weekend and I'm here for it so I'll start with the AFC and
- 33:22hopefully I don't humble any of these pun intended.
- 33:26Um oh my God the you have San Diego.
- 33:31Traveling to Jacksonville a game.
- 33:35I find very, very interesting. I am going to be the best game
- 33:39of the weekend. It absolutely could be.
- 33:42I am picking San Diego. I am definitely rooting for
- 33:47Herbert but it's coach is starting to bother me and I'm a
- 33:50little worried. I'm just saying then you have
- 33:58Cincinnati playing Baltimore apparently without Lamar
- 34:04Jackson. I don't see how the Ravens are
- 34:08being blamed for this. They offered the man, an
- 34:11incredible amount of money. He just didn't want to pick it
- 34:13up, I think he's going to be a Miami Dolphin next year, I'm
- 34:17clearly picking Cincinnati. And then you have, then you have
- 34:24Buffalo and Miami, not that Miami was ever a threat to
- 34:28Buffalo, but to angle and play. So clearly it's Buffalo,
- 34:33probably by 34 touchdowns, not quite at, ECU shellacking, but
- 34:40solid, blow out there to the other side of things.
- 34:52I'm actually I'm actually very impressed with what with the
- 34:56work that Pete Carroll has done this year.
- 34:58It was a cute run with Gino and the crew, but yeah, the 49ers
- 35:03going to blow that out my upset of the week.
- 35:07If there is one, I am most definitely taking the Giants to
- 35:12to beat the front. Very, very, very fraudulent.
- 35:16Minnesota, Vikings in Minnesota. And then because the NFL is so
- 35:20petty, the Standalone game Monday night football, Dallas
- 35:26Cowboys are traveling to Tampa, Bay to meet John Wick and there
- 35:33is no way that I'm taking the Cowboys so Tampa.
- 35:41In a nail-biter. Brady is Brady DAC is DAC and
- 35:46this is just the way the world has to be.
- 35:51Wow And So It Begins Lord gotta love it.
- 35:56I mean let me just Meander through this situation here
- 36:01briefly the Jaguars are absolutely being the charger.
- 36:05So just like that go the Dolphins have about as much
- 36:09chance of beating the bills as I almost said it.
- 36:14Anyway, I don't want you ready to be.
- 36:53This pains me with the Cowboys. All right.
- 37:02There you have it. Governor would you like to go?
- 37:07Would you like me to file that? I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go.
- 37:10Okay. Okay.
- 37:33So Seahawks 49ers, 49ers all the way.
- 37:41I don't, you know, I just don't see any world where Seahawks can
- 37:48pull this off. Chargers Jaguars.
- 37:54I think this is much closer than people think.
- 37:58I think the Chargers have their, I think your chargers are not
- 38:03trending upward. I think the Jaguars are on a
- 38:07high and I don't think anybody wants to play the Jaguars right
- 38:12now. So I'm gonna go with the Jags
- 38:15with the upset. Dolphins bills.
- 38:19No chance for the Dolphins. They, I mean they're down to
- 38:22their third string now. I mean, because Teddy
- 38:24Bridgewater is out still nursing his broken finger to as out.
- 38:30Not a chance. I picked the Giants to beat the
- 38:36Vikings. I feel like The Vikings have
- 38:41this thing where and this, this is the, if, if the Giants are up
- 38:4810 nothing or somewhere in that range, it is over.
- 38:54I think the Vikings are, FrontRunner, they've got to get
- 38:57out to a fast start, if they don't look out Ravens Bangles,
- 39:04not a chance, Bangles all the way and the Cowboys are going to
- 39:09win by 14, my stars. Well, thank you this chest.
- 39:24I'm very proud of the governor for, for rocking.
- 39:28Being Rocksteady with your fandom us here on Earth though.
- 39:37We know that again. We say this all the time, right?
- 39:40History is an incredible predictor of the future.
- 39:45Dak has the most turnovers of any starting quarterback in the
- 39:52NFL and he didn't play all the games.
- 39:55Mmm, He was just he was working on his reads.
- 40:00He's worse. I feel you.
- 40:02You know what? I'm just gonna also save this
- 40:04figure this stuff out. They're not beating Tom Brady in
- 40:08Tampa Bay. So that's a, that's a that's a
- 40:10books picked for the holster. I am, of course, picking the
- 40:15Giants to beat the Vikings because a, I'm a Giants fan but
- 40:18be I get to bring back this term.
- 40:21The Vikings are fugazi they are Fraudulent there, the day there
- 40:29with I agree. But you know what it is, and
- 40:40they sure did and they still have Kirk Cousins as a
- 40:43quarterback. So I'm good.
- 40:46And and I would look, I would love I'm so happy for Gino
- 40:52because, like, he has to be laughing on a regular basis,
- 40:58right? Like he was a bum, you know, he
- 41:00got, he couldn't be a starter, he was a bust, like he had to go
- 41:03be a backup and he was Muscles back up.
- 41:05It was never going to play. Then they let rusco because they
- 41:08were going to basically give Gino the job and the Bucks are
- 41:10going to mean the Seahawks are going to be belly-up.
- 41:12And this dude was like the best quarterback in the NFC for a
- 41:15minute this year so like good for them.
- 41:18Yeah but that story's over to I mean look at look to Klein's
- 41:24point right? The NFL has they love they love
- 41:27the petty scenarios and they got they got the gift that just
- 41:31keeps on giving what this slate of games.
- 41:35And listen let's go back to one thing.
- 41:37The fact, the Cowboys have the better record in that game.
- 41:42Get to go on the road and play the best player to ever play the
- 41:45game, and it's a standalone game on Monday is just so the entire
- 41:51nation can watch the Cowboys fall, right, Brady's memory loss
- 41:55for the Cowboys. And first time for everything,
- 41:58never won a road. Playoff game, it'll, you know,
- 42:03some stuff has to break up. I perfect.
- 42:05It is the perfect scenario. The NFL loves Joe, cool, and the
- 42:13Bangles are pissed off about the whole coin-flip thought process.
- 42:16So that's going to be a absolute calm down.
- 42:20I am 100% in agreement with sir Lucius.
- 42:24I think the Jags are gonna absolutely serve the Chargers
- 42:29because the Chargers are trending.
- 42:32Like a very poor stock and the Jags are getting better.
- 42:36Every half a game. Yes.
- 42:39And and I'll say this teams that know how they play to win.
- 42:43Are dangerous and the Jag the Jaguars.
- 42:46Get what they have to do to win the game and T laws actually the
- 42:50real t log n. So and do we really have to talk
- 42:53about the bills? And the Dolphins like if tool
- 42:58was completely healthy and had never had a concussion, they
- 43:01were gone. Get Beat to Death.
- 43:02Yes, so yeah that's a they should forfeit that game.
- 43:10Okay, can we wait, the bills are good?
- 43:15The bills are going to beat the Dolphins by three touchdowns.
- 43:19Okay, can I can I say on the on the coin flip is because I don't
- 43:24think a lot of people are have really paid attention to this.
- 43:28I was actually impressed by the NFL coming up with this
- 43:30solution. There was no good answer but
- 43:33this is by far the best of the answers.
- 43:36So don't you think we're out? There is no question.
- 43:38This was the best. Yeah, so if you haven't been
- 43:41following, the playoffs are going to play out.
- 43:44If the Chiefs who are now the number one seed and get the by
- 43:49end up in the NFC championship against the bills that game has
- 43:53to be played at a neutral site, which is awesome, though.
- 43:57I don't know where it would be maybe Indianapolis seen.
- 44:01I've seen Ragnarok suggested that you go splitter.
- 44:05Yeah, exactly. If if the bills and the Bangles
- 44:12and up in the NFC chip AFC Chip, same thing neutral site.
- 44:17And so, you know, that's about as Fair as it could have gotten,
- 44:20right? It was creative.
- 44:24I didn't think they would have, you know, I thought they'd Go a
- 44:27different way. I really did and I'm glad that
- 44:29they didn't make anybody go out there and play those extra
- 44:31games. But Brogue, kick the governor.
- 44:36Hmm, it's hard to leave the NFL in interceptions when you play
- 44:43five. Less games and everybody else.
- 44:46I mean true just got a double up, you got to you got to have
- 44:49at least two a game. Yes, it is hard to do.
- 44:54It's hard to do but you know I'm chewy we need your picture and
- 44:58getting out of that. I mean the only pick that
- 45:01matters. The miners are going to be the
- 45:02Seahawks. Let's that's right.
- 45:06It's gonna happen. So your weekend is over once,
- 45:10that's all that's Wednesday. Okay, absolutely, still got to
- 45:13pick the rest of the gangs qu. You cannot play kindergarten the
- 45:17Dolphins. Get it.
- 45:18Can the Cowboys. Get it done.
- 45:19Big lead. For the sake of the peace in
- 45:23this house. Yes,
- 45:48right like okay. I mean, if they play the game
- 45:57again, why not? Okay.
- 46:00This this apparently did not, you know, it's not part of the
- 46:03playoff drama, but it is part of the NFL, Petty drama.
- 46:07I absolutely loved watching Aaron Rodgers, go down in flames
- 46:10again, and with everything on the line in his house, that was
- 46:19so hard to watch, Go Lions. That was hilarious.
- 46:23Yep. Yeah, now I'm here for petty
- 46:27NFL, I'll say this the NFL's not ready for what's going to happen
- 46:31next year, the lions are actually going to be good, the
- 46:33lion of the Lions and the Jags are going to be problems next
- 46:38year. I guess that's the NFL's, not
- 46:40really ready for that. And just imagine if the Jets get
- 46:44a real quarterback, all three that, all three of them are
- 46:47going to be really good and that's gigantic problem.
- 46:51In for it. Anyways, before that goes down
- 46:55there had to be a Jets reference had to be.
- 46:58That's yes. But oh my God.
- 47:02Oh my God. All right, here we go.
- 47:06Hey, maybe Aaron Rodgers. Go play in New York.
- 47:08Oh God! Oh my God.
- 47:10Trust me. He's my child has sent me
- 47:13pictures of this nonsense. Would you rather?
- 47:23I'm just going straight to it. So lucious.
- 47:27You're up, Sir. Oh man, oh man.
- 47:36Oh man. Alright, I know who saw Center
- 47:42would you rather sit on the driver's side row of the bus or
- 47:46the opposite side opposite side row of the bus?
- 47:50Always a driver side. Second seat on the driver.
- 47:54Got it? I love it.
- 47:56Isn't that crazy? How we all have that nature?
- 47:58We got to see. That's our see, there's always
- 48:01someone who is very it? Sorta oblivious, to the fact,
- 48:08would you rather eat a chewable vitamin or consume a powder form
- 48:13vitamin chewable Flintstones. I can't even get over it.
- 48:53While you fun, chickens chickens aren't cleaner.
- 49:08It is bad chickens are not cleaner than pigs.
- 49:12Well, they're easier to get rid of, I would imagine, yeah.
- 49:27Would you rather? Always.
- 49:38Would you rather coach the shot or triple jump?
- 49:46What right, wow. Okay.
- 49:52See I kind of think like the shot put in the, you know,
- 49:59because of the ballistic nature of the two events.
- 50:01So absolutely. I like it.
- 50:10Oh, I just had a question and it's not really relevant to you
- 50:12because you're not a big fan. I'm asking.
- 50:15Anyways, would you rather eat sour patch kids or Sour Patch
- 50:21Kids? Watermelon.
- 50:23A little water. If Isis watermelon, got it
- 50:28gentleman. The floor is yours.
- 50:30I'm definitely not a fan of, I'm not eating.
- 50:31I know that I wrote I just read it.
- 50:43This is like the best I've had here we go first before we go
- 50:48around the block I would like to say thank you so much the first
- 50:54time in three years all right? Sir Lucius are you ready?
- 51:08Absolutely sir. Would you rather coach the
- 51:12current group on your campus to try to win a National
- 51:15Championship or take on the challenge of switching, rosters
- 51:18with any other team in the country to try and beat the
- 51:22current group on your take on your Campus of questions?
- 51:29It's a good question. I'm not a good question, is not
- 51:32an answer. Now, you should have known you'd
- 51:45like a challenge. So if you want an appropriate
- 51:49question in that space, there should have been which to
- 51:51rosters. Would you combine your
- 51:56conference, which conference All-Star team.
- 52:08Service. Yes.
- 52:12Would you rather? Mmm, would you rather?
- 52:20Watch Tom Brady eliminate the Cowboys or re-watch the TCU
- 52:27Georgia game. Oh my gosh, I would rather we
- 52:34watch the TCU Georgia game because Tom Brady's, not
- 52:37eliminating the Cowboys, thank you, thank you.
- 52:42I was taking to it, they can do it.
- 52:49It's not it's not directed at you, it's not.
- 52:52I know which is wild, which is wild.
- 53:01Listen, I'll ride for the frogs. It's all good.
- 53:04So, Sarah Lucius. Yes, sir.
- 53:11Would you rather retire? As a forgotten coach, with a
- 53:16winning record. Or would you rather retire as a
- 53:21famous coach with a propensity to lose the Championships?
- 53:30Sounds like a cowboy. So, I would say some right now,
- 53:36they can forgive me and I will make it.
- 53:38I'm Gonna Make a Difference. That's not yeah.
- 53:49I mean Marv? Marv Levy comes to mind right?
- 53:53Hmm. Yeah amazing that
- 53:59accomplishment. Just puts you in such a quandary
- 54:02it does right? The man made for straight Super
- 54:06Bowls. No one stuff.
- 54:08No one else has ever done it ever, ever.
- 54:12He just lost them all if he'll Isaiah 11.
- 54:15Yes he get. The credit for going four
- 54:17straight times. Yeah.
- 54:20And he can't say he's not a legend, I mean, but what kind of
- 54:25thing because like just look to that point, right?
- 54:28That's Bobby Cox like the Braves, the Braves won the AL or
- 54:31the NL East like 13 years in a row.
- 54:34Yeah. The John Walton the 11 World
- 54:36Series with with the greatest pitchers have ever assembled
- 54:39what they want. So there a dynasty.
- 54:43Yes. You guessed it.
- 54:44Going over to that. Yeah, get the monkey off your
- 54:48back. All right.
- 54:51Well, let's get some praises. My heartbeat props seriously
- 54:57because I think I utilized in all day today.
- 54:59And actually, I've always known it known.
- 55:02What the value is whoever created the app and the website
- 55:06and the platform team works. Thank you.
- 55:13If you know, you know, if you know, you know, we just got out
- 55:17of this year, we're learning our way through it, but it is also
- 55:20feel free to call use its special especially I don't have
- 55:26a d ID option of how to really use it.
- 55:28I'm loving it right? It's the tool itself.
- 55:35When utilized have you figured out about it notifications yet?
- 55:39Shoe. Absolutely slow.
- 55:42I need To talk to you then. Because all yeah, we haven't
- 55:45read that phrase coaches on your phone and teamwork.
- 55:48That's all I need to know. Now, I'm gonna go in, it has got
- 56:02me in the mood today, so I'm going to be very Petty, my
- 56:05heartbeat props. Go out to all of the fantasy
- 56:09football league champions, when the country Self included
- 56:13because I know how hard it is to toil and struggle through the
- 56:19entire football season and deal with all the haters, and the
- 56:23injuries and football players that don't want to play and all
- 56:27those other wonderful things. But listen, my heart bleeds for
- 56:32you. Wonderful people who have
- 56:34managed to sift through all the nonsense and when your
- 56:38respective Fantasy Football League championships to the
- 56:41belts, the Money and everything else you win.
- 56:44Congratulations, you're not winning your fantasy football.
- 56:49If you don't have a good name, it's all over.
- 56:52What for sure. For sure.
- 56:55I lost the year before to a guy that had jobber we put 75 points
- 56:59on me. So this year's championship team
- 57:01was named Funk because they wouldn't let me spell the right
- 57:04word Funk, Joe Barbaro Appropriate name, for sure.
- 57:14I just want to say, we do not do this in are very friendly family
- 57:20game, but I'm going to push for you.
- 57:23No punishments for the last place team.
- 57:28I'm So Into the initial you, oh, I'm into the idea of the tattoo
- 57:33leagues or things like this, where?
- 57:37Yeah, you might win but you really Don't want to be last.
- 57:40I'm here for that. The worst one I see in this is
- 57:43the team that was last the person had to join the military.
- 57:50That's the worst one I've seen, hey I'm here for it.
- 57:54Wow, there was one along at the Patriot League.
- 57:58There was one a long time ago with nothing but guys in the the
- 58:02last place guy had to get boob implants and keep them in for a
- 58:05year. So you're saying I'm here I'll
- 58:10be props. Harvey promise.
- 58:13Sorry. No my heartbeat props are really
- 58:21very simple. Like a lot of people we are
- 58:23opening our season this weekend in up in Spokane.

- 58:42go out there and, you know, show where we are very excited about
- 58:46this year's team. And, you know, I we are all
- 58:49chomping at the bit to go, get it done.
- 58:51So I'm very, very proud of these individuals who have earned the
- 58:53right to open up their season. Thank you, Chuck Clyde for
- 59:01taking drops and I will just Echo what Clyde said.
- 59:09Go right ahead, I am going to give heartbeat props to our
- 59:18compliance staff for, you know, First class problems, what for
- 59:27all the hard work, they've done to get, you know, mid-years and
- 59:32amongst the plethora of January football player too short.
- 59:36These days. I don't think people realize
- 59:39that to remind my staff all the time that we have to remember,
- 59:43we are not the only team on campus and there's always a lot
- 59:48of stuff going where compliance. But they always do a wonderful
- 59:51job of Finding a way to help us get done.
- 59:54We need to get done and I appreciate them a lot.
- 59:56So my compliance Department, this isn't it time for you to
