Even in his earliest memories, the concept from the Spider-Man comic books of "With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility" resonated with Mark Leslie Lefebvre. It might have been because he self-identifies with the meek and nerdy Peter Parker; because it definitely wasn’t an affinity to spiders. He’s still deathly afraid of them. Not to mention the dark. But despite not ever having any power, he always took that responsibility seriously.
