- 0:00Speaker 1: How are you welcome to Heavy mag?
- 0:02Speaker 3: Thank you excellent.
- 0:04Speaker 2: So you're from the one only rock band, metal band,
- 0:07Speaker 2: I should say metal Light, and you guys have got
- 0:11Speaker 2: some pretty exciting news happening at the moment. Do you
- 0:13Speaker 2: want to tell a good listeners at Heavy all about it.
- 0:17Speaker 3: Yeah, we're releasing our album twenty fifth of September, and
- 0:24Speaker 3: it's a good sounding album and I love the songs,
- 0:29Speaker 3: no shit.
- 0:31Speaker 1: But we have released.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Yeah, we have released some new singles. The latest one
- 0:41Speaker 3: was Echoes of You. It's a valid but also our
- 0:44Speaker 3: Times Come and Starshield in case of emergency.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Okay, nice?
- 0:52Speaker 2: And so yeah, as you said, you're pretty proud of
- 0:54Speaker 2: your works that you've just put out. How long were
- 0:56Speaker 2: they in their making? Was it something that's been sometime
- 0:59Speaker 2: or we've.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Been making an album, it's about a year years work,
- 1:05Speaker 3: you know, writing songs for half a year and then
- 1:07Speaker 3: do all the pre production and then the mixing and
- 1:11Speaker 3: monstering and stuff like that. So it takes some time
- 1:14Speaker 3: to do that.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, nice. Nice. So it plans to take it
- 1:19Speaker 1: on tour.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Are you're just going to see how it settles in
- 1:22Speaker 2: with the fans and where it goes from there?
- 1:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:26Speaker 3: We were released now in September, and then we have
- 1:28Speaker 3: a show in November in Greece on a Mediterranean metal
- 1:33Speaker 3: cruise when we will try out some new songs and yeah,
- 1:38Speaker 3: we're planning some tour in the beginning of twenty seven.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Also, so yeah, yeah, yeah, So you mentioned that even
- 1:44Speaker 2: part of the metal the European Metal Cruise, I think
- 1:47Speaker 2: it is. We've got one happening here in Australia as well.
- 1:50Speaker 2: It's a three day metal cruise with quite some big names.
- 1:53Speaker 2: It a lot of fun to be on board. I
- 1:55Speaker 2: have you guys done one before?
- 1:57Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, we've been on full metal cruise Yeah yeah,
- 2:03Speaker 3: but it was just in the in the Scandinavian region.
- 2:07Speaker 3: So now it's down for the Mediterranean then looking forward.
- 2:10Speaker 2: To it awesome, awesome, So I can't imagine anything better.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Spending how many how many days does it go for?
- 2:17Speaker 1: Five days? Okay? Yeah, wow, five days.
- 2:20Speaker 3: It's a lot of different different islands and stuff like that.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Oh that's I'm a little bit jealous.
- 2:26Speaker 2: So I we'll say, especially especially just cruising the Mediterranean.
- 2:29Speaker 2: But you know, with such an epic theme would be
- 2:33Speaker 2: pretty dark for it's sold out. The one here they
- 2:35Speaker 2: call I think it's called the Hell Bound Cruise and
- 2:37Speaker 2: three days ago. Yeah, I'll check it out. Yeah, Parkway Drive.
- 2:41Speaker 2: I think it's headlining and a whole bunch of others.
- 2:43Speaker 2: So yeah, so's exciting it. So the inspiration, where did
- 2:49Speaker 2: it come from? And is it different to what you've
- 2:51Speaker 2: done before or where does it sort of sit with
- 2:53Speaker 2: your rescue?
- 2:55Speaker 3: I think I think it's the same inspiration. The influences
- 2:57Speaker 3: that yet there, you know less like if I take
- 3:01Speaker 3: a fan and I like the you know, the the
- 3:06Speaker 3: nineties eurodance music and together with yeah, the eurodance stuff
- 3:12Speaker 3: that's in ninety four is the year that I was
- 3:16Speaker 3: hooked by this, yeah exactly. And now I'm blending this
- 3:22Speaker 3: into the metal music you know that's a big Yeah,
- 3:26Speaker 3: A big fan as an Antarctica and start of various nightwish,
- 3:30Speaker 3: you know, the Finnish power metal stuff. So I want
- 3:32Speaker 3: to blend it, yeah, into this this epic style sci
- 3:36Speaker 3: fi melodic metal stuff.
- 3:39Speaker 2: You've got yourself a new genre that sounds of it, Yeah,
- 3:43Speaker 2: very ryan, And you can just make your own genre
- 3:45Speaker 2: if it sounds like something.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Yeah, it's so many genres that people tells me, like
- 3:50Speaker 3: eur metal and dal sci fi metal and whatever. I
- 3:55Speaker 3: don't care, I get.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Lost, but there is just so much And I think
- 3:59Speaker 2: that's a really cool thing about metal as well, is
- 4:01Speaker 2: that you know, it is such you know, it got
- 4:03Speaker 2: its core, you know, traditions, but it's also got that
- 4:07Speaker 2: you know, ability to to be playground with it and
- 4:11Speaker 2: have that movement, and you can add things to it,
- 4:13Speaker 2: you know, whether it's wrap or techno or whatever it
- 4:16Speaker 2: may be, and it just elevates it and gives it,
- 4:19Speaker 2: you know, that fresh feeling, which is really cool. I like, yeah,
- 4:25Speaker 2: when tune John is combined, it makes us some pretty
- 4:27Speaker 2: good sounding stuff. So I did get to give it
- 4:30Speaker 2: a sneaky lesson before, so I have to say it
- 4:32Speaker 2: was it's it's hard, it's fast, it's kind of similar
- 4:36Speaker 2: to some of the stuff that I've put out recently,
- 4:37Speaker 2: which I like, you know, you metal board.
- 4:40Speaker 1: It's just no, it is.
- 4:49Speaker 2: It definitely is good for the stress relief or just
- 4:54Speaker 2: it's a different avenue to get all the frustration out there,
- 4:58Speaker 2: especially in the world that we live in these Yeah, exactly. Yeah,
- 5:02Speaker 2: So how long have you guys been doing you thing
- 5:05Speaker 2: for now?
- 5:05Speaker 1: It's been a little while.
- 5:08Speaker 3: How long we will have been together.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I started off this band in two and fifteen actually,
- 5:18Speaker 3: but the single left after the first release, the first
- 5:22Speaker 3: that the big album was in twenty seventeen, and then
- 5:25Speaker 3: the first thing left, so it took a while to
- 5:28Speaker 3: find a new one and finally I found Erica and
- 5:33Speaker 3: now we have recorded like four albums together. So and
- 5:38Speaker 3: I met Erica in twenty and eighteen, so nearly ten
- 5:42Speaker 3: years old.
- 5:44Speaker 2: K And do you find that having that femal up
- 5:47Speaker 2: front is gives it that you band the extra dynamic
- 5:50Speaker 2: and that edge that balanced I think sometimes can be
- 5:53Speaker 2: lacking in a test soster and field environment.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a it's a really you know, I really
- 6:00Speaker 3: think that this is very important for the metal scene
- 6:03Speaker 3: to to two you know, both both men and women
- 6:09Speaker 3: and you know, put some pop and dance and stuff
- 6:12Speaker 3: into it, you know, just blended around and mix it.
- 6:15Speaker 3: And I think it's a good thing for the metal scene.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely, absolutely. I encourage more girls and metal for sures.
- 6:24Speaker 2: You know. So it's a bit of a male dominated scene,
- 6:27Speaker 2: but you know, I think in saying that it's also
- 6:30Speaker 2: very welcoming and supportive, you know, being female and that
- 6:33Speaker 2: sort of especially being in front you know Front and Center, which.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Is nowadays there's a lot of female front the novel
- 6:41Speaker 3: West and I really love to listen to them also,
- 6:44Speaker 3: Yeah that's cool.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I just say it's all those easy I get
- 6:48Speaker 2: my kids and how finally got something to do with
- 6:50Speaker 2: my voice.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it is. It's awesome.
- 6:55Speaker 2: And so as you say, plans to hopefully maybe too
- 6:59Speaker 2: next year, any festivals on the run as well that
- 7:02Speaker 2: you guys have got coming up on.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Yeah, we got some books in Europe next year and
- 7:08Speaker 3: we really hope that the festival season will be awesome
- 7:11Speaker 3: for Metabye two. But yeah, it's hard, you know, it's
- 7:14Speaker 3: a lot of a lot of bands, and yeah, we
- 7:19Speaker 3: do our best to get the festivals ready for next year.
- 7:23Speaker 3: So we're planning as much as we can.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Yeah, that's kind of one of those things that it's
- 7:27Speaker 2: so free planned because there is just so many in
- 7:29Speaker 2: the lineup, so, you know, extensive with some of those
- 7:32Speaker 2: festivals you guys have over there, you're lucky, you're looked
- 7:35Speaker 2: right in the center of metal world here over in Europe. Yeah.
- 7:38Speaker 3: Yeah, there's a lot of festivals and a lot of bands.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's great for the say, you know, it's
- 7:45Speaker 2: certainly anyone who says, you know.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Love music's dead, it's like, come to my job.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Definitely well and truly alive, which is great and obviously
- 7:54Speaker 2: you know it's good to see too. You know that
- 7:56Speaker 2: it's extended to Downder and you've got some good fan
- 7:59Speaker 2: based down here as well, which is always nice.
- 8:01Speaker 3: To looking forward to Australia.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Yeah, you guys not been down here before.
- 8:07Speaker 3: No, no, I think one in in the bass playing
- 8:11Speaker 3: the band has been on vacation in Australia. That's the
- 8:13Speaker 3: nearest thing came to Australia. But yeah, we'll see.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, definitely pushed for it.
- 8:21Speaker 2: There's some great festivals that we've got happening in our
- 8:24Speaker 2: scene down here too, which is really nice. And you say,
- 8:27Speaker 2: like the locals live scene as well. It's up and
- 8:30Speaker 2: coming and certainly people like yourselves. It's an inspiration and
- 8:34Speaker 2: you know it's some spread those reaches far and wide
- 8:38Speaker 2: and yeah, bring.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Carefully might not leave as one of our own. We like. Yeah,
- 8:49Speaker 1: that's awesome.
- 8:50Speaker 2: So so it comes out in September, your album, ye,
- 8:54Speaker 2: and that's do you have anything planned for that, like
- 8:57Speaker 2: a release party or you got a kid coming up? Yeah?
- 9:01Speaker 3: Actually just after the Mediterranean cruise. We will right now,
- 9:06Speaker 3: we're just in the planning state, so we're trying to
- 9:10Speaker 3: have a release party here in Stockholm after the cruise,
- 9:15Speaker 3: so we'll be in the middle of November or something
- 9:17Speaker 3: like that.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Yeah, and so that's coming into your winter time, is that?
- 9:20Speaker 1: Is that right? Yeah?
- 9:21Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, exactly. Yeah, it's a winter time and November
- 9:26Speaker 3: is like autumn here. Beginning of November, it's like autumn,
- 9:28Speaker 3: and the winter is coming around the end of November
- 9:31Speaker 3: and beginning of December.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Yeah, opposite for us here. It's coming into our summertime.
- 9:36Speaker 2: But we don't really have a thing. Yeah, it's like
- 9:38Speaker 2: winter now, and it's like it's a bit mild, right,
- 9:43Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 9:44Speaker 1: I don't think I could court with a cold. Sorry.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Yeah's cruising on the Mediterranean in sort of the autumn,
- 9:50Speaker 2: I guess would be quite lovely because it does get
- 9:52Speaker 2: quite warm there too, doesn't it.
- 9:54Speaker 3: Yeah, right now it's a very very hot down Europe.
- 9:57Speaker 3: So yeah, in November, the great to cruise on the
- 10:01Speaker 3: ship like Fridays and just chill. Yeah yeah, meet fans
- 10:08Speaker 3: and play. It's awesome.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Yeah, no, that's awesome.
- 10:11Speaker 2: And so they that's obviously ed that your album being
- 10:14Speaker 2: released before that, it's gonna be a great way to
- 10:16Speaker 2: showcase that too special VIP audience of those who are
- 10:21Speaker 2: lucky enough to get on board. Is it a big
- 10:22Speaker 2: cruiser you know, or is it relatively.
- 10:24Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a big big it's a big cruise, yeah,
- 10:27Speaker 3: and I think it's quite expensive to go there also,
- 10:30Speaker 3: but they meet a lot of bands and they can
- 10:34Speaker 3: like hang with them on the on the cruise, on
- 10:36Speaker 3: the ship and everything. So yeah, yeah, we really like
- 10:41Speaker 3: that style.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it is, like even what happened down here,
- 10:45Speaker 2: it's just reasonably priced, like cruises something that's caught you know,
- 10:49Speaker 2: less expensive over the time. And you know, I always
- 10:51Speaker 2: say it's a good good bang feedback, everything's on board,
- 10:54Speaker 2: you know, like it's one accommodation your entertainment all that.
- 10:57Speaker 2: So five days getting to see the best of the
- 11:00Speaker 2: best metal bands in Europe and then they get to
- 11:03Speaker 2: hang out with you guys. That's pretty cool, Like, yeah,
- 11:05Speaker 2: that's nice. Hardcore fans you know definitely will save up
- 11:09Speaker 2: for sure. That must be nice and good way for
- 11:12Speaker 2: you guys to celebrate your album as well. As you said, Yeah,
- 11:15Speaker 2: it's exciting. Yeah, just like Cruiz Mediterranean. This doesn't sound
- 11:19Speaker 2: very metal like.
- 11:20Speaker 3: That doesn't Let's have they released Party on the Boats?
- 11:25Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, look what happens on the boat stays.
- 11:31Speaker 1: That's awesome.
