- 0:17Sean McAllister: There sure is.
- 0:18Sean McAllister: Plus, the Malibu Barbie Cafe opens at Area 15, and Southwest adds a new nonstop flight to the big island.
- 0:26Dayna Roselli: Plus, we are talking coffee, sports, food, shows, and much more.
- 0:31Dayna Roselli: Hey, let's get to it.
- 0:32Dayna Roselli: Season seven of Vegas Revealed starts now.
- 0:39Sean McAllister: Welcome to Vegas Revealed, episode 302, officially.
- 0:44Sean McAllister: Welcome to 2026, Dana.
- 0:46Dayna Roselli: I know, 2026 and season seven of Vegas Revealed.
- 0:50Dayna Roselli: Can you believe it?
- 0:51Sean McAllister: No, I can't.
- 0:52Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 0:53Dayna Roselli: Let's start it off all on a positive note because I feel like at the end of the year, like all the social media, I feel like everyone's been so negative.
- 1:01Sean McAllister: About everything.
- 1:02Dayna Roselli: About everything.
- 1:02Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, all right.
- 1:04Dayna Roselli: I mean, you know, it wasn't the best year.
- 1:06Dayna Roselli: It was a horrible year personally for me, but I'm trying to go in more positive.
- 1:11Dayna Roselli: Um, and I just feel like, you know what?
- 1:14Dayna Roselli: That's all you can do.
- 1:15Dayna Roselli: One step in front of the other.
- 1:17Sean McAllister: Well, I think for it was a rocky, rough year for a lot of people.
- 1:22Sean McAllister: And 2026, what's what, the year of the horse, 2026, and that's supposed to bring in uh uh new good things all around.
- 1:34Sean McAllister: It was the year of the snake, 2025.
- 1:36Sean McAllister: Yeah, those snakes are never good.
- 1:38Sean McAllister: I never liked snakes anyway.
- 1:39Sean McAllister: No, horses I'm good with.
- 1:41Dayna Roselli: I know they're friendly.
- 1:42Sean McAllister: Let's go, let's gallop right on through the year for sure.
- 1:46Dayna Roselli: Um, we've got a lot to talk about because we were both here over the Christmas and New Year break, and we're gonna get into all of that.
- 1:53Dayna Roselli: Uh, but one of the big things that we did, and we know a lot of people are looking forward to hearing about, is the Jennifer Lopez show at the Coliseum at Caesars Palace.
- 2:02Dayna Roselli: J-Lo kicked off her residency doing shows uh over the new year in January, and then she's coming back in March, like the whole month on Fridays and uh Saturdays.
- 2:13Sean McAllister: Yeah, and this is a different show than what you may have seen if you went and saw Jennifer Lopez at her previous residency, which was over at Planet Hollywood.
- 2:23Sean McAllister: Um, and it's a departure from her typical uh J-Lo performance style.
- 2:31Sean McAllister: Now, don't get me wrong, she still uh bears a lot of herself in her costumes.
- 2:39Sean McAllister: She still dances her behind off and shakes her behind and sings.
- 2:46Sean McAllister: Um, but she kind of has a retro throwback vibe with her entire performance for this new residency.
- 2:54Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I feel like it was definitely a little bit of everything, right?
- 2:57Dayna Roselli: It was a good mix, and she does do the hits.
- 2:59Dayna Roselli: Don't worry, you're not missing out on the hits because people always love to know that.
- 3:02Dayna Roselli: Like, well, what am I getting, you know?
- 3:04Dayna Roselli: Um, but um by the way, can we just say I called Ja Rule going on stage?
- 3:11Dayna Roselli: Remember, I said I sat at the NBA Cup and Ja Rule was in front of me and I was like, maybe remember, I said maybe he's in town rehearsing to do his song with J Lo that I love so much.
- 3:21Dayna Roselli: He's got a few songs with J Lo, actually.
- 3:22Dayna Roselli: And he did, he came out on stage, he was special guest, and they did the montage of their uh medley, I guess I should say, of a few of their songs.
- 3:30Dayna Roselli: It was so good.
- 3:31Sean McAllister: It was so good.
- 3:31Sean McAllister: People went crazy because uh uh rule he came out through one of the um audience tunnels like that you go through to get into your seat over at the Coliseum at Caesars Palace.
- 3:43Sean McAllister: He came out through there, made his way through the audience, and then finally up on stage.
- 3:47Sean McAllister: Yeah, but when J Lo said she was like, Give it up for Ja Rule, and he came out and everyone went crazy.
- 3:56Dayna Roselli: It's just his voice, he's got a great like his voice is so recognizable.
- 4:00Sean McAllister: Gravely.
- 4:01Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 4:01Dayna Roselli: To do that song, I think you need him there, right?
- 4:04Dayna Roselli: I mean you can have the backup track, but it really added to it.
- 4:08Dayna Roselli: So anyway, that was fun.
- 4:10Dayna Roselli: Um, but yeah, it's a medley, you know, and like it's it's a little bit of jazz, it's a little bit of Broadway-esque, right?
- 4:17Dayna Roselli: A little bit of dance, a little bit of old school J-Lo.
- 4:20Dayna Roselli: It's got everything.
- 4:21Sean McAllister: It does.
- 4:22Sean McAllister: And uh Jennifer came out and talked about what we were about to see from her show.
- 4:28Sean McAllister: She did she came out, did her first song, and then she talked for a little bit, and she was like, you know what?
- 4:34Sean McAllister: For this residency, I want to pay homage to some of the entertainers who had who have influenced her career throughout her entire life, who from childhood influenced the music that she listened to and the movies that she watched, the TV shows.
- 4:52Sean McAllister: And so it really was a sampling of the influences throughout her life that um that really guided her career path.
- 5:03SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 5:03Sean McAllister: And among those, she talked about her mom and how for as a little girl, uh, her mom would be singing and dancing in the living room, and they would all join in.
- 5:13Sean McAllister: And her mom was there.
- 5:14Sean McAllister: Guadalupe was down in the audience, and let me tell you, she was up and dancing through the entire show.
- 5:19Dayna Roselli: She was shaking it too.
- 5:20Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's made all the little highlights I see from people and all the celebrity, you know, sites on social media showing Guadalupe up there.
- 5:29Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 5:30Dayna Roselli: That was really cute.
- 5:31Dayna Roselli: And I know her kids were there too.
- 5:32Dayna Roselli: They were there for New Year's Eve night.
- 5:34Sean McAllister: Yep, they came out and hugged mom on stage.
- 5:37Dayna Roselli: That was cute.
- 5:38Dayna Roselli: Um, a lot of moments.
- 5:40Dayna Roselli: She talked a lot to the audience.
- 5:41Dayna Roselli: I think she is using it in a way as a platform.
- 5:45Dayna Roselli: Like she points out that a lot of people don't like me.
- 5:48Dayna Roselli: She knows.
- 5:50Dayna Roselli: And I was I actually wasn't even, I know this is sound may sound silly, but like I didn't know like that it was like a big known thing that so many people dislike J-Lo.
- 6:01Dayna Roselli: You know what I mean?
- 6:02Dayna Roselli: Like, I I don't know.
- 6:02Dayna Roselli: She acted like it was just like common knowledge.
- 6:05Dayna Roselli: Then we put up a TikTok, and a lot of people were very supportive, but there are you know a lot of comments in there, and I'm like, wow, like people need to I just I don't know.
- 6:15Dayna Roselli: Like for me, it's just so unnecessary for all the hate.
- 6:18Dayna Roselli: If you don't like it, don't look.
- 6:19Dayna Roselli: If you don't like it, don't go.
- 6:20Sean McAllister: Well, exactly.
- 6:21Sean McAllister: And I feel like it's more of an online troll situation than I don't know.
- 6:29Sean McAllister: Like I've always been uh fine with Jennifer.
- 6:33SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 6:33Sean McAllister: I've interviewed her a couple times and she was been pleasant and nice, but um, yeah, I don't know.
- 6:40Sean McAllister: I don't know where all of the negativity comes from, but you're right, she did address that.
- 6:46Sean McAllister: She said people make fun of the way that I smile and the way that I look and the amount of clothes I do or do not wear.
- 6:54Dayna Roselli: Yeah, she's like, I some people say I don't wear enough clothes.
- 6:57Dayna Roselli: And then she said, But if you had a booty that looked like this, you wouldn't wear any either.
- 7:01Sean McAllister: Touche.
- 7:03Sean McAllister: Touche, J Lo.
- 7:04Dayna Roselli: And then she said she's the happiest she's been in a long time.
- 7:07Dayna Roselli: So she really wanted to get a lot of things out and like, good for you, it's your show.
- 7:10Dayna Roselli: Like, say what you want.
- 7:12Dayna Roselli: And then it, you know, it can't be misconstrued.
- 7:15Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 7:15Dayna Roselli: Because it's not somebody interviewing you and cutting parts or a little clip going on social media.
- 7:21Dayna Roselli: It's like she's there speaking to an audience and she can say what she wants.
- 7:24Dayna Roselli: So, but uh it wasn't too much of it, but it did add that personal touch, which you and I always say is very important for a Las Vegas show.
- 7:30Dayna Roselli: If you're not gonna talk to me, then why am I there?
- 7:33Sean McAllister: It exactly, yeah.
- 7:34Sean McAllister: And there are some um, you know, vintage Las Vegas entertainment influences mixed in too.
- 7:41Sean McAllister: There's some Elvis mixed in.
- 7:43Dayna Roselli: It was a Heartbreak Hotel, it was good, and some Rat Pack mixed in there.
- 7:48Sean McAllister: Um, Feathers, Showgirls.
- 7:50Sean McAllister: I mean, it's a it is Vegas, yeah.
- 7:53Dayna Roselli: And she did a Latin song in there, yeah.
- 7:56Dayna Roselli: Where um and uh the song uh she did a song from her movie, from Kiss of the Spider Woman, yes, she did that as well.
- 8:04Sean McAllister: She did some Barbara Streisand, yeah.
- 8:06Sean McAllister: It's it's good, and the costumes are great, they really are, and I will say, so when there are a lot of costume changes in a show, um sometimes the performer will be off stage for an ext for a big chunk of time while they're getting costume changes done.
- 8:25Sean McAllister: J Lo, she her costume changes were pretty quick.
- 8:29Sean McAllister: I never felt like she was gone from the stage to for an extent of time where I was like when's she coming back?
- 8:38Dayna Roselli: Yeah, like Cher's show.
- 8:39Dayna Roselli: Well, I always go back to that one.
- 8:41Dayna Roselli: I know she those changes were long, but it's Cher.
- 8:46Dayna Roselli: Um, but no, and she did a nice montage of you know, her practicing and rehearsing for shows, her through the years, the different kinds of you know, generations she's been through and she's been around a long time, and all the movies that she's been in.
- 8:59Dayna Roselli: And I really enjoyed that because I was even like, oh yeah, I forgot that one.
- 9:03Dayna Roselli: And you know, I was with my mom and she was like, Oh my gosh, I love that movie with Richard Gere.
- 9:08Dayna Roselli: Is it Richard Gere?
- 9:08Dayna Roselli: Shall shall we dance?
- 9:09Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 9:10Dayna Roselli: But anyway, we're just and I thought the only thing I thought is like I would have done that little montage a little earlier just to kind of set it up because it did remind people, oh my gosh, I forgot, you know, it was like a really good scroll through time.
- 9:24Sean McAllister: Right, from music videos to movies and her whole career.
- 9:29Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 9:30Dayna Roselli: So anyway.
- 9:31Sean McAllister: She's been doing it a long time.
- 9:33Dayna Roselli: She has, and she ended so high energy, like that was crazy.
- 9:37Dayna Roselli: It was it was a party.
- 9:38Dayna Roselli: It's a great show.
- 9:40Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 9:40Dayna Roselli: I wonder if she will extend.
- 9:41Dayna Roselli: She put it it here's the deal.
- 9:43Dayna Roselli: Like, you know, she just finished up shows, and uh, we're running this what, January 8th?
- 9:47Dayna Roselli: Um for January, you know, the end of uh uh December and January, and then she's coming back for the month of March, but I don't know, maybe she'll maybe she'll add more shows because I feel like she put a lot into it.
- 9:58Sean McAllister: Oh shit.
- 9:59Sean McAllister: That was massive.
- 10:00Sean McAllister: Yeah, I have a feeling that it will be extended.
- 10:03Sean McAllister: I know um the first uh chunk of shows are sold out, were sold out.
- 10:09Sean McAllister: Yeah, that um so uh you know if judging by the demand and ticket sales for her first few shows, you know, hopefully that that continues on.
- 10:20Sean McAllister: And um it really is.
- 10:23Sean McAllister: It was I really enjoyed it.
- 10:25Sean McAllister: Yeah, I thought it was a really fun show.
- 10:26Dayna Roselli: And the line to get in was long.
- 10:28Sean McAllister: It was.
- 10:29Dayna Roselli: It was like the doors open like 7.15-ish, and I showed up like 745 and huge line, and I mean, and uh somebody I know that worked at Caesars was like, I haven't actually never haven't seen it like this in a really long time.
- 10:45Dayna Roselli: Like, good for you, you know.
- 10:47Dayna Roselli: I mean, because there were some reports saying that she wasn't selling well like a month ago, and I was like, I mean, it's a month out, people don't make their new year's plans, and like and then I looked and I'm like, when I looked, there weren't very many seats left.
- 10:59Dayna Roselli: I mean dozens, maybe, and I was like, that's not bad.
- 11:04Sean McAllister: For a what 6,000 seat theater?
- 11:06Sean McAllister: No, that's not bad at all.
- 11:08Dayna Roselli: No, it was it was definitely a lot of fun.
- 11:10Dayna Roselli: They also have a 17-piece band, so FYI, you're getting live music too, which is so fun.
- 11:17Sean McAllister: I love when there's a big when there's a band, an orchestra, whatever, up on stage to you know accompany everything.
- 11:25Sean McAllister: But the visuals, the costumes, the dancing, the band, it's all there.
- 11:30Sean McAllister: If you're lucky, maybe Ja Rule's gonna pop up at one of her future shows as well.
- 11:36Sean McAllister: Um, but J Lo has a lot of uh duets with other entertainers, so you never know who she could involve.
- 11:43Sean McAllister: I've seen her before uh have Pitbull pop up at one of her shows.
- 11:48Sean McAllister: So you never know.
- 11:50Dayna Roselli: You never know.
- 11:51Dayna Roselli: All right, well, let's move on to some new news.
- 11:54Dayna Roselli: And well, I don't know that this is that new, but um, Southwest Airlines announced a non-stop flight uh to the big island, and that's always a big deal, I think, here in Las Vegas, because so many people in Las Vegas go visit Hawaii, Hawaiians come here, people have family, and um this is starting August 6th.
- 12:13Sean McAllister: Yeah, so this is definitely a new route for Southwest from Las Vegas uh for the new year, and uh there are already direct flights um to other parts of the island to Maui, oh yeah, to Oahu.
- 12:28Sean McAllister: Um did I take a direct flight to Kauai?
- 12:32Sean McAllister: I think I did on Southwest.
- 12:34Sean McAllister: Yeah, um so there are already uh other direct flights.
- 12:39Sean McAllister: Now this is added into the mix too, so that is, it's gonna be a great way to connect to our uh our other our friends down in the Hawaiian Islands.
- 12:50Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and that's a nice flight.
- 12:51Dayna Roselli: It's pretty it does it seems like it would be long, but it's actually moves pretty quick.
- 12:55Dayna Roselli: The planes are nice.
- 12:56Sean McAllister: It's not bad.
- 12:57Sean McAllister: And the um Southwest flights to Hawaii and and back have special uh Hawaiian snacks.
- 13:05Dayna Roselli: Oh, okay.
- 13:06Dayna Roselli: That's good.
- 13:07Dayna Roselli: Which I love because I am getting sick of those pretzels.
- 13:09Dayna Roselli: I know the c the flavored ones, like it was good at first, but now it's such a distinct flavor that I'm like, oh, I don't want these.
- 13:17Dayna Roselli: Do you have a plain version?
- 13:19Sean McAllister: Just a pretzel?
- 13:20Dayna Roselli: Yeah, just a pretzel.
- 13:21Sean McAllister: Yeah, no, you get special Hawaiian snacks.
- 13:23Sean McAllister: Okay, good.
- 13:24Sean McAllister: A lot of times the uh flight crew will be wearing um Hawaiian print shirts to get you in the uh in the spirit.
- 13:33Sean McAllister: Your seatback uh TV has programming that gets you ready for to visit the islands.
- 13:40Sean McAllister: It's uh it's fun.
- 13:41Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it is fun.
- 13:42Dayna Roselli: So an extra non-stop, nonstops key for a lot of people, and they love it.
- 13:47Dayna Roselli: So this'll definitely be great.
- 13:49Dayna Roselli: Uh that again starts August 6th.
- 13:52Dayna Roselli: All right, well, I went um to Indian India Palace, um, and I've talked about this restaurant in the past, and I think people kind of get the gist that I like Indian food now.
- 14:02Dayna Roselli: And I just wanted to mention, and listen, I know we have more uh than one Indian restaurant here in Las Vegas, and we talked about the new Michelin star restaurant that we got.
- 14:13Sean McAllister: Yeah, Jim Cana, which is opening at Aria.
- 14:15Sean McAllister: Uh it's now open at Aria, as a matter of fact, and we're gonna be going to the grand opening of that on uh January 16th.
- 14:23Sean McAllister: So we'll have more about Jim Kana coming up in the the coming weeks here on Vegas Revealed.
- 14:28Sean McAllister: But um and that's the really the biggest uh Indian restaurant on the strip in a casino.
- 14:38Sean McAllister: But we do have a lot of other Indian restaurants across the Las Vegas Valley.
- 14:43Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I know we have some at Town Square, like all over town, tons of restaurants, but India Palace is one of my favorites.
- 14:50Dayna Roselli: I also happen to live near there, but um, it's on East Twain, it's near the strip.
- 14:55Dayna Roselli: But I go there, you know, I try and go there like, I don't know, at least twice a year.
- 14:59Dayna Roselli: I'd like to go there more, but I it's really hard to find people who enjoy Indian cuisine.
- 15:04Dayna Roselli: We've talked about that before.
- 15:05Dayna Roselli: Like friends are like, I don't want to, you know, and I'm like, oh, I love it.
- 15:08Dayna Roselli: Anyway, uh picked my mom up from the airport and went there on the way home recently.
- 15:13Dayna Roselli: And let me tell you, they did a refresh in there that I hadn't seen yet.
- 15:17Dayna Roselli: And it's just beautiful.
- 15:18Dayna Roselli: I wanted to just point out that it looks great inside.
- 15:22Dayna Roselli: It's not a huge restaurant, it's not tiny, but it's just such a great size size for an intimate feel.
- 15:29Dayna Roselli: When you order, everything comes out fresh because it takes a little bit to make, and it the staff is always so nice.
- 15:35Dayna Roselli: But I I don't, I don't know.
- 15:36Dayna Roselli: It just was, I was like, whoa, like it was a big difference and it looks stunning.
- 15:42Dayna Roselli: And so just FYI, India Palace.
- 15:45Dayna Roselli: If you love Indian food, I highly recommend it.
- 15:47Dayna Roselli: The food's great and the inside, they really they really up the game.
- 15:52Sean McAllister: And that's on East Twain.
- 15:54Dayna Roselli: East Twain, just off paradise.
- 15:55Sean McAllister: So it's not far from the strip.
- 15:57Sean McAllister: If you're visiting, if you live here, um you can get there too.
- 16:02Dayna Roselli: Yes, exactly.
- 16:03Dayna Roselli: So from India Palace to Malibu Barbie, how about that?
- 16:07Sean McAllister: Oh, that's a shift.
- 16:09Sean McAllister: I love it.
- 16:09Sean McAllister: Well, there is a new Malibu Barbie cafe that has just opened up inside area 15, that whole entertainment and attraction complex that's just west of the Las Vegas Strip.
- 16:22Sean McAllister: And this is going to let you live out all of your Barbie dreams.
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: Malibu Barbie's been here since 1971, um, and we were super excited to sort of create a cafe out of this, and an experience out of Malibu Barbie Cafe.
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: So there's tons of like beach motifs and vibes.
- 16:39SPEAKER_00: It's all 70s throwback, and then we just thought roller skating is just so fun and nostalgic.
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: So it was a great piece to add to this.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: A great spot to do it here at Area 15.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, we couldn't have picked a better location.
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: It's so generational.
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: Like kids today are playing with Barbies, their moms are playing with Barbies, their grandmas are playing with Barbies, so it's super fun that we can create an experience where like all three generations can enjoy it.
- 17:00Dayna Roselli: And describe to me a little bit about what you'll get if you come here.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so there's so much fun stuff to do here.
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: First and foremost, it is a cafe, so it's diner food, um, anywhere from the best burger you'll ever have to pancakes, tubular tenders, uh salads, um, tons of fun desserts as well, but there's also photo moments you can actually step inside like a life-size Barbie box so you can actually become Barbie.
- 17:22SPEAKER_00: There's um like our history of beach, so you can learn about um the timeline of Barbie and Malibu Barbie Cafe.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: There's our skating rink, which is outside, so super fun for the family to come in and enjoy.
- 17:33SPEAKER_00: We also have exclusive merchandise.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: And is this something that happens all around the country?
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so this is I I think our eighth or ninth uh Malibu Barbie Cafe, and we're not stopping.
- 17:42SPEAKER_00: Um we just wrapped up in San Diego.
- 17:45SPEAKER_00: It's a ticketed event.
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: You can get all tickets at bucketlisters.com.
- 17:49SPEAKER_00: We definitely recommend getting reservations in advance because it is filling up.
- 17:52SPEAKER_00: Um, but we do take walk-ins based on availability.
- 17:55SPEAKER_00: Tickets start at$25 an hour, but it comes with$5 merge credit and$10 food credit.
- 18:00Sean McAllister: So there's the cafe, the roller rink.
- 18:03Sean McAllister: It's a whole vibe.
- 18:04Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it really is.
- 18:05Dayna Roselli: They have so much going on at Area 15.
- 18:08Dayna Roselli: And um, as she said, to uh book online.
- 18:11Dayna Roselli: Book online for just to reserve your space.
- 18:15Sean McAllister: Just to make sure that you can get in.
- 18:16Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 18:17Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 18:17Dayna Roselli: Because sometimes people, you know, just show up and then they there's not enough room.
- 18:21Sean McAllister: Then you have to wait in line and you don't want that.
- 18:23Sean McAllister: So reserve your spot.
- 18:24Sean McAllister: Check out uh Malibu Barbie Cafe.
- 18:27Dayna Roselli: Hey, Sean, I quickly wanted to mention I went to the Raiders game when they played the Giants recently.
- 18:33Sean McAllister: That's right.
- 18:34Dayna Roselli: My mom's first NFL game ever in her life.
- 18:37Sean McAllister: And did she love it?
- 18:38Dayna Roselli: She absolutely loved it.
- 18:39Dayna Roselli: My friend got us good tickets.
- 18:41Dayna Roselli: She had three tickets.
- 18:42Dayna Roselli: She said, Do you and your mom want to come with me?
- 18:44Dayna Roselli: And we were like, and I was like, Mom, I thought she might be like, eh, I don't want to go to football.
- 18:47Dayna Roselli: But she was like, Yeah, I've never been to a professional football game.
- 18:51Dayna Roselli: And we live near Buffalo, New York, where it would be the closest profession.
- 18:55Dayna Roselli: And she's like, I've never wanted to go sit outside.
- 18:58Sean McAllister: No, because it's outdoor stadium, cold.
- 19:00Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 19:01Dayna Roselli: So now I was like, Well, Legion's all inside, and they were playing the Giants, which were my dad's favorite team my whole life.
- 19:06Dayna Roselli: My dad passed away in February, and so it was really special to be able to take her to a game, and the Raiders played the Giants, and the Giants won, and we had great seats.
- 19:16Dayna Roselli: So she's like, I really like that I can see everything, you know?
- 19:18Dayna Roselli: So um, it was so much fun.
- 19:20Dayna Roselli: Um, and uh, they had a great halftime show.
- 19:23Dayna Roselli: It was Sly and the Family Stone.
- 19:26Sean McAllister: I I love that.
- 19:28Dayna Roselli: It was everything.
- 19:29Dayna Roselli: That's a throwback right there.
- 19:31Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 19:31Dayna Roselli: It was good.
- 19:32Dayna Roselli: So she liked that.
- 19:33Dayna Roselli: Uh, but anyway, I wanted to point out I love a good soda.
- 19:36Dayna Roselli: We've talked about this before.
- 19:37Dayna Roselli: I like a Diet Coke with ice, and you have to like, you know, get the big Raiders' cup usually.
- 19:43Dayna Roselli: And it can be pricey at the stadium, which is what you expect, whatever.
- 19:47Dayna Roselli: But a lot of times when you go, there's lines and only certain spots.
- 19:52Dayna Roselli: Because I know my people that love their soda with ice feel me on this.
- 19:55Dayna Roselli: Like, you have to, you can't just get a bottle or a can.
- 19:57SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 19:58Dayna Roselli: You want your fountain soda.
- 20:01Dayna Roselli: So the lines were long.
- 20:02Dayna Roselli: So anyway, me and my friend went up to one of the bars there and we're like, hey, do you guys do Diet Cokes like just out of the gun or whatever?
- 20:09Dayna Roselli: You know, and they're like, Yeah, of course.
- 20:10Dayna Roselli: And so they're like, and I would say it was like a medium size, perfect size.
- 20:14Dayna Roselli: Um, they had lids and everything, and so they gave us Diet Coke and a Coke, and then I paid and it was like six dollars and thirty-eight cents for two.
- 20:21Sean McAllister: Amazing.
- 20:22Dayna Roselli: And I felt like it was the biggest deal of my life.
- 20:24Dayna Roselli: I was like, that's it.
- 20:25Dayna Roselli: So FYI, if you're looking for soda at Allegiant Stadium, you might want to check with some of the ones that are just serving drinks and ask them, like, can you use the soda gun?
- 20:37Dayna Roselli: And well, if it was just one, it would have been like three bucks.
- 20:40Sean McAllister: Right.
- 20:41Sean McAllister: That's incredible.
- 20:41Dayna Roselli: It's a great deal.
- 20:42Dayna Roselli: So FYI, because I know I've talked about that before, and I actually had a lot of feedback, like, oh yeah, you got to get the free refills on this floor, and da da da.
- 20:50Dayna Roselli: People love their coke.
- 20:51Dayna Roselli: People love their diet coke.
- 20:52Dayna Roselli: So FYI, uh,$3 soda, try a bar at Allegiant.
- 20:56Dayna Roselli: That's my little tip of the week.
- 20:58Sean McAllister: Well, let's keep the uh beverage tips going here.
- 21:02Sean McAllister: Over the uh holiday break, um, Shane, my husband, and I went to Finn Smith.
- 21:08Sean McAllister: This is a Vietnamese coffee shop that is in the southwest part of the valley.
- 21:12Sean McAllister: Um, if you're familiar, it's kind of at the um it's near Jones and Warm Springs, just south of the 215.
- 21:21Sean McAllister: Uh and Dana, it was absolutely packed.
- 21:25Dayna Roselli: So how come we've never heard of this?
- 21:27Sean McAllister: I don't know.
- 21:28Sean McAllister: That's exactly what I said.
- 21:29Sean McAllister: We had to park like two parking lots away and then walk over there.
- 21:34Sean McAllister: And then when we got there, the line was wrapped all the way around inside.
- 21:40Sean McAllister: All the tables were uh taken from people who were, you know, sitting there who were either doing work or who had just gotten their order and they were enjoying their drinks.
- 21:49Sean McAllister: Anyway, it was delicious.
- 21:51Sean McAllister: I got their banana coffee, which you might think sounds weird.
- 21:56Sean McAllister: It's not, it's absolutely delicious.
- 21:58Sean McAllister: They make their own.
- 22:00Sean McAllister: Banana cream.
- 22:01Sean McAllister: So they infuse like oat milk with banana with banana.
- 22:06SPEAKER_02: Uh-huh.
- 22:07Sean McAllister: And they make it in-house and mix it with their own uh Finn Smith drip coffee.
- 22:14Sean McAllister: And it's an iced drink, but it was absolutely delicious.
- 22:18Sean McAllister: Like just the right amount of flavor in there.
- 22:21Sean McAllister: They have a whole bunch of uh other specialty drinks that they make.
- 22:27Sean McAllister: But as we were waiting for our drinks to come out, we were talking with this lady who was sitting next to us, and she was like, I come here all the time, and I have never seen it this packed.
- 22:39Sean McAllister: So the word has gotten out, Finn Smith is popular, people are loving it, and families were there, friend groups were there.
- 22:49Dayna Roselli: Do they have seats?
- 22:50Dayna Roselli: Is it like a sit-down coffee shop?
- 22:51Sean McAllister: Oh, yeah, there's there's actually a good amount of uh tables in there, but it was just one of those days where you know the kids were off school, families were out doing their holiday thing, and I think it was just a a time when everybody was going to get a coffee.
- 23:08Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 23:08Sean McAllister: And um, it was it was bumping.
- 23:11Dayna Roselli: And it's the only one in town?
- 23:12Sean McAllister: The only one in town.
- 23:14Sean McAllister: They do have a couple other locations in California.
- 23:18Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 23:19Sean McAllister: Um, they have one in Garden Grove, uh, two in Garden Grove.
- 23:23Dayna Roselli: Interesting.
- 23:24Sean McAllister: Oh, they well, uh both of them are Garden Grove.
- 23:27Sean McAllister: One is an express location.
- 23:31Sean McAllister: But um But yeah, so California and uh Las Vegas.
- 23:36Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 23:37Sean McAllister: Finn Smith.
- 23:38Sean McAllister: I highly recommend it.
- 23:39Sean McAllister: They have uh some good coffee concoctions.
- 23:45Sean McAllister: And then you can get their uh bags of beans too, if you want to brew at home.
- 23:50Dayna Roselli: All right, I like that.
- 23:51Dayna Roselli: That's a good gift.
- 23:52Sean McAllister: And uh one other thing, the little uh like the chalkboard sign that they have as you're going through the line, they wrote uh some Vietnamese words and phrases on there and put the pronunciation underneath.
- 24:06Sean McAllister: Oh so if you wanted to I didn't like learn it, but I thought it was fun to stand there and and read it.
- 24:13Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's fun to read it.
- 24:14Sean McAllister: I was like, that's cool.
- 24:15Sean McAllister: It's too much brain work for Christmas break, but it was, but I was not in I was not in the mode of absorbing information.
- 24:23Dayna Roselli: But the banana coffee sounds good.
- 24:24Sean McAllister: The banana coffee was really, really good.
- 24:27Sean McAllister: I think you would like that.
- 24:28Dayna Roselli: All right, I gotta tell my friend, we're gonna go down there.
- 24:30Dayna Roselli: We're coffee lovers.
- 24:32Dayna Roselli: Um, hey, uh speaking of the Southwest, I went to Nico's prime cuts and fresh fish at Durango over the break, and they just uh celebrated their two-year anniversary.
- 24:46Dayna Roselli: And just a reminder that it's a great steakhouse.
- 24:50Dayna Roselli: Loved it.
- 24:50Dayna Roselli: My mom got the Dover Sole.
- 24:52Dayna Roselli: I got a pasta dish and a salad.
- 24:54Dayna Roselli: The bread was amazing, the drinks are on point.
- 24:57Dayna Roselli: I always loved their dirty martini with the charred olives.
- 25:01Sean McAllister: Yum.
- 25:02Dayna Roselli: And I think my mom got, I forgot she loved her drink.
- 25:05Dayna Roselli: I can't remember what she got.
- 25:06Dayna Roselli: Maybe it was an old fashioned or Manhattan or something.
- 25:09Dayna Roselli: Anyway, um, great staff was great.
- 25:11Dayna Roselli: Just love it.
- 25:11Dayna Roselli: It's it's such a good vibe.
- 25:12Dayna Roselli: And just Durango as a whole, I know we always say it.
- 25:14Dayna Roselli: It was packed.
- 25:15Dayna Roselli: I mean, and I did really good at the roulette table.
- 25:19Sean McAllister: Oh, did you?
- 25:20Dayna Roselli: I did.
- 25:20Dayna Roselli: You you're not like a big gambler, a big player, but but on Christmas night, you and I and several others went out to dinner and we played a little roulette.
- 25:31Dayna Roselli: And um I don't think I played.
- 25:34Dayna Roselli: My mom played, my friend Robin played, your husband played.
- 25:38Dayna Roselli: Um, my friend Robin won, but she was really spreading out chips over every number.
- 25:43Sean McAllister: It was hard for her not to win.
- 25:47Sean McAllister: Like you could you could count on one hand the the spots on the on the table that weren't covered with her chips.
- 25:53Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 25:54Dayna Roselli: So I don't know if we call her a winner or not.
- 25:55Dayna Roselli: She did walk away up.
- 25:57Sean McAllister: She did.
- 25:58Sean McAllister: That's a winner.
- 25:58Sean McAllister: So I mean, whatever the strategy she had, cover the board, it works.
- 26:03Dayna Roselli: So I we were into Rango, and I thought, oh, maybe maybe my mom wants to play a little more, you know, and whatever.
- 26:08Dayna Roselli: And so I she did.
- 26:09Dayna Roselli: And so we found a$15 table, and you know, it was just us and one other person at first, and then all of a sudden everyone started coming over because, you know, we were having fun, and the chips were piled up, and we had an active table going.
- 26:22Dayna Roselli: It was really fun.
- 26:23Dayna Roselli: And I ended up just like hitting on numbers, like right on the number.
- 26:27Dayna Roselli: I got a 13, a nine, an 11.
- 26:29Dayna Roselli: And so, um, anyway, I ended up winning uh like$110.
- 26:35Dayna Roselli: Oh, nice.
- 26:36Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so that was cool.
- 26:37Sean McAllister: That's a good little holiday bonus.
- 26:39Dayna Roselli: I know it was.
- 26:39Dayna Roselli: It was great.
- 26:40Dayna Roselli: My mom did not win.
- 26:41Dayna Roselli: The guy next to me was getting frustrated.
- 26:44Dayna Roselli: A couple other people came over and they had piles going.
- 26:48Dayna Roselli: I'm talking like 10 chips on one number, and I was like, good for you guys, but I like to do my little dollars here and there.
- 26:56Dayna Roselli: So I'm no gambling aficionado, as you mentioned.
- 27:01Sean McAllister: But congratulations.
- 27:02Sean McAllister: Thank you.
- 27:03Dayna Roselli: So I won a hundred bucks.
- 27:04Sean McAllister: That's an exciting win.
- 27:05Dayna Roselli: I know, it really was.
- 27:07Dayna Roselli: Um, we have tons of other stuff to talk about, but let's keep it moving.
- 27:10Dayna Roselli: You know what?
- 27:11Dayna Roselli: We do so many tips in the middle of the podcast throughout the podcast.
- 27:15Dayna Roselli: We know you love them.
- 27:16Dayna Roselli: Um, but we're changing it up season seven.
- 27:19Dayna Roselli: We are doing a new segment called Celebrity News with a Vegas Twist.
- 27:25Sean McAllister: Let's do it.
- 27:28Sean McAllister: Celebrities are always coming into Vegas for various reasons, whether it's for uh personal reasons or they're working on a film or TV project or for a convention, a private performance.
- 27:41Sean McAllister: For fun.
- 27:42Sean McAllister: For fun.
- 27:43Sean McAllister: So we don't always talk about it when the celebrities are coming into town, but there's some fun stories that happen surrounding those appearances.
- 27:52Sean McAllister: So we're like, you know what?
- 27:54Sean McAllister: Let's start sharing that with you guys.
- 27:57Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 27:57Sean McAllister: So we're gonna kick it off with season seven and kicking it off with Timish Timothy Chalamet, who has a new movie out called Marty Supreme.
- 28:06Sean McAllister: I'm sure you've seen stuff for it.
- 28:08Sean McAllister: It came out over the holidays.
- 28:10Sean McAllister: Um, and he made a surprise appearance here in uh Las Vegas.
- 28:16Sean McAllister: He popped up at a movie theater over at the Palms and surprised the people who were there for a Marty Supreme screening.
- 28:24SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 28:25Sean McAllister: And then a couple days after that, this video comes out showing Timothy Chalamet standing on top of the sphere with the entire sphere turning into a ping pong ball and a big advertisement for Marty Supreme.
- 28:42Sean McAllister: Well, that that I'll call it a a stun because that you have to kind of be a daredevil to stand on top of the sphere.
- 28:50Sean McAllister: It was like a legit thing.
- 28:52Dayna Roselli: Well, that's a thing you don't know these days.
- 28:54Dayna Roselli: I'm like, is this AI or is he really there?
- 28:56Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 28:57Dayna Roselli: So he was really there.
- 28:58Sean McAllister: He was really there.
- 29:00Sean McAllister: I I found out that uh it was a a very quick turnaround kind of a deal.
- 29:07Sean McAllister: And so Timothy climbed up on top of the sphere, and it turned out to be one of those nights.
- 29:14Sean McAllister: I remember the the night because I looked out the window at home and I was like, oh my gosh, it is pink outside.
- 29:21Sean McAllister: The sky was just this amazing color, the clouds that we had over the Las Vegas desert were just stunning and unusual.
- 29:33Sean McAllister: And then it turns out that was the exact same evening that Timothy climbed up there and they did this drone shot that pulled out, and Timothy Chalamet is now the first person who has uh stood on top of the sphere.
- 29:49SPEAKER_02: Wow, that's incredible.
- 29:51SPEAKER_02: Timothy Chalamet, uh as Adam Sandler.
- 29:54SPEAKER_02: Chalomet! Yeah, Chalomet.
- 29:57Dayna Roselli: Um, wow, yeah, that that was really cool to see.
- 30:00Dayna Roselli: And I wondered like, when did they do this?
- 30:02Dayna Roselli: So you had talked to someone that said they actually did it with a quick turn, and they had like, didn't they do it in one take?
- 30:09Sean McAllister: Yeah, it was it was like a very short window of time to get that shot and to have it turned around to promote the movie.
- 30:18Dayna Roselli: Wow.
- 30:18Sean McAllister: So it was quite the ordeal.
- 30:21Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that's really cool.
- 30:22Dayna Roselli: I loved seeing that and all the publicity that it got, and you know what?
- 30:25Dayna Roselli: That's the thing, you can use the spheres for so many things, it's great for advertising, and there's just no place like it.
- 30:32Dayna Roselli: Like when you talk about the pink clouds, but we had this like fog come in recently, and um I was driving over the DI bridge and I noticed like all the pretty lights hitting the clouds and took a video or whatever.
- 30:44Dayna Roselli: Um, but then I was just thinking, like, that's that is so cool when the clouds are there because the lights hit the clouds, which make this beautiful like a rainbow picture.
- 30:53Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it really is cool.
- 30:55Dayna Roselli: Um, but then I saw the sphere and I was like, wow, it the sphere really adds to the skyline.
- 31:00Dayna Roselli: And I don't know, it's just I love having the sphere here.
- 31:03Dayna Roselli: We're just so lucky.
- 31:04Sean McAllister: It's great.
- 31:04Sean McAllister: And I I know I know what you mean with the cloudy days, because when I step outside, I live just off of the strip, so but close enough to where all the lights when they shine on the clouds, it just looking that way, it just kind of lights up the entire and you can pick out which casino is giving off which color because it goes you have the green from uh MGM grand, and then you have you know whatever is on the sphere lighting up in different colors, and you have Resorts World and Fountain Blue and Luxor, yeah.
- 31:40Sean McAllister: It's it really is quite a sight to see, and we don't have a ton of cloud cover, so when we have those times, it's really neat.
- 31:48Dayna Roselli: It is.
- 31:49Dayna Roselli: Um, speaking of standing on top of well, an iconic building, Bad Bunny did a shoot at the top of the Westgate recently for Vogue.
- 32:01Dayna Roselli: And he was in town, I think, for the Latin Grammys at the time.
- 32:05Dayna Roselli: I think that's probably when they did the shoot.
- 32:07Dayna Roselli: I don't know, maybe I'm wrong there.
- 32:08Dayna Roselli: But anyway, um, the article does focus on that they interviewed him when he was here for the Latin Grammys.
- 32:12Dayna Roselli: So, but he did a shoot all throughout the Westgate, and it's it's just so cool to see this iconic, you know, which used to be the International Hotel where Elvis played and all that.
- 32:23Dayna Roselli: Um, but the shot of Bad Bunny uh standing right outside on top with the Westgate, like kind of the sign, you know, the letters that go across the top right behind him.
- 32:33Dayna Roselli: And then he did, he looks like he went through some suites, he was in uh one of the elevators.
- 32:37Dayna Roselli: Cause they because the Westgate does have that really cool old school vintage-y look with the gold trim.
- 32:42Dayna Roselli: And and anyway, it was a great shoot about fashion and all that kind of thing.
- 32:46Dayna Roselli: And so Bad Bunny also uh, you know, given a little Vegas love in this recent Vogue shoot, which is so cool.
- 32:53Sean McAllister: I love that um I I just love when the vintage parts of Las Vegas history are brought back into uh pop culture in really cool ways, right?
- 33:08Sean McAllister: You know, and Bad Bunny's doing that.
- 33:10Sean McAllister: Jennifer Lopez is doing that with her show, and and I just love that Bad Bunny embraces that.
- 33:17Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 33:17Dayna Roselli: I was shocked.
- 33:18Dayna Roselli: I was like, wait, Bad Bunny doing a shoot in Vegas?
- 33:20Dayna Roselli: And like I didn't get it, and then I was like, okay, this looks really cool.
- 33:23Sean McAllister: And it did.
- 33:24Sean McAllister: Those photos ended up looking amazing.
- 33:28Dayna Roselli: And Westgate's been getting a lot of good publicity lately because they also had an Apple TV show, show an episode that was like all at the Westgate.
- 33:38Sean McAllister: Yeah, Pleuribus is one of the hit shows on Apple TV right now, and there is an entire episode that takes place in Las Vegas at the Westgate.
- 33:49Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 33:49Dayna Roselli: And so, I mean, sometimes you get like, you know, a quick stroll through the casino or whatever, but like the whole thing, and I drove by and I don't watch the show.
- 33:57Dayna Roselli: I keep thinking I need to watch it, but I was driving by, because I live near there, the marquee the other day, and it said, What did it say?
- 34:03Dayna Roselli: Hello, Carol.
- 34:04Dayna Roselli: Hello, Carol.
- 34:05Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I was like, what is this about?
- 34:06Dayna Roselli: And then my friend Stacey was something, oh, it has to do with the TV show.
- 34:09Dayna Roselli: I was like, okay.
- 34:10Dayna Roselli: So anyway, um, awesome.
- 34:11Dayna Roselli: They uh I guess you know, it featured the Sky Villas in the episode.
- 34:16Dayna Roselli: If you've seen it, you know what we're talking about.
- 34:18Dayna Roselli: But I just love how much attention Vegas gets and TV shows and magazines and movie promos.
- 34:26Dayna Roselli: So we're just uh more eyes on us, the better.
- 34:30Sean McAllister: More eyes on us.
- 34:31Dayna Roselli: More eyes on us.
- 34:32Dayna Roselli: As you can tell, I have a little cold, so I'm sorry, everyone.
- 34:35Sean McAllister: Um I think everybody's either either has a cold or has had a cold or will be getting a cold.
- 34:43Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 34:43Dayna Roselli: I mean, I've hearing so a lot of people even have like bad flu or covet.
- 34:47Dayna Roselli: Like, I'm glad that I've only stayed at this point.
- 34:50Dayna Roselli: It hasn't gotten worse.
- 34:51Sean McAllister: So, but um probably keep doing your shots of apple cider vinegar.
- 34:55Sean McAllister: I do.
- 34:55Dayna Roselli: I do the apple and but you know, I've been really into those uh juice shots too lately.
- 34:59Dayna Roselli: The other day I took one, I was feeling really bad, and I felt like, and I had made my mom take one too, she was visiting, and we both like felt really good, so much better the next day.
- 35:07Dayna Roselli: I'm like, I'm telling you, it's the juice shots that I buy from Sprouts.
- 35:11Dayna Roselli: Anyway, you know, there's a lot of things that well.
- 35:14Sean McAllister: There's a tip for you stay healthy in the new year with juice shots.
- 35:17Dayna Roselli: Juice shots, vive.
- 35:18Dayna Roselli: I like those.
- 35:19Dayna Roselli: Um, but yeah, so sorry if I my voice annoyed everyone.
- 35:22Dayna Roselli: But anyway, welcome to season seven.
- 35:23Dayna Roselli: We got a lot to cover over the next year ahead, and we wish you all the best.
- 35:28Dayna Roselli: We hope you'll visit us here in Las Vegas.
- 35:30Dayna Roselli: We got a lot coming up.
- 35:31Dayna Roselli: Super Bowl, you know, because people come to Las Vegas to watch the Super Bowl.
- 35:35Dayna Roselli: Uh March Madness, got Valentine's Day, all sorts of stuff.
- 35:39Sean McAllister: There is, and then we have uh World Cup action is coming up this year, too, and the Olympics are coming up.
- 35:46Sean McAllister: So there's obviously not happening in Las Vegas, but Vegas we we weasel our way into just about every big event.
- 35:54Dayna Roselli: Because we have really big screens.
- 35:56Sean McAllister: We do have big screens.
- 35:58Dayna Roselli: That's a good like slogan.
- 36:00Sean McAllister: Vegas.
- 36:01Sean McAllister: We have big screens.
- 36:02Dayna Roselli: We have big really big screens.
- 36:04Sean McAllister: Our screens are bigger than yours.
- 36:07Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 36:07Dayna Roselli: You can come watch sports, you can watch a movie, you can.
- 36:10Dayna Roselli: I mean, listen, the sphere is crazy.
- 36:13Dayna Roselli: You can advertise all of it.
- 36:14Dayna Roselli: So, anyway, uh, we look forward to spending another year with you guys uh here on season seven of Vegas Revealed.
- 36:21Dayna Roselli: And we hope you have a great week.
- 36:22Dayna Roselli: We'll be back next week.
