- 0:00Speaker 1: This is how we do it. It's better. It's better
- 0:06Speaker 1: this Harry style. That's what my wife said. My wife
- 0:08Speaker 1: said she likes it. She said, she likes it that
- 0:10Speaker 1: I've cut my head down and I don't look like
- 0:13Speaker 1: a famous basketball player. Baron something, Baron Davis Wild. Yes,
- 0:20Speaker 1: she said, Tyson Chandler, who's a light skinned fellow. But
- 0:23Speaker 1: then it made me realize, Oh, my wife thinks Tyson
- 0:25Speaker 1: Chandler's handsome one too. Oh ship, my wife knows a
- 0:28Speaker 1: little bit about basketball. Okay, okay, I like it. Thank you. Um.
- 0:36Speaker 1: First of all, yeah, so much to talk about. I
- 0:39Speaker 1: miss you guys, each other. Miss you. When's the last
- 0:45Speaker 1: time we saw each other. It's been like a week, right, Yeah, yeah,
- 0:48Speaker 1: we took we took um, we skipped a day, so
- 0:51Speaker 1: it's been a long time. I was thinking about you guys. Yeah,
- 0:56Speaker 1: we have so much we haven't talked about. Are you recording? Donald?
- 0:59Speaker 1: Of course I'm recording. Also also real quick exact? Did
- 1:02Speaker 1: you did your did your recorder it all get bumped
- 1:05Speaker 1: in and transit. You were a tiny bit loud on
- 1:07Speaker 1: today's episode. What do you want it on? It's on
- 1:09Speaker 1: six point five. I don't think I don't think. I
- 1:12Speaker 1: don't think he was loud. I think he was drunk.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Maybe it wasn't drunk, dude, sounds the last episode. It
- 1:23Speaker 1: wasn't that bad. But it wasn't that bad. But I'll
- 1:26Speaker 1: confess something to you and our listeners. I had had
- 1:30Speaker 1: more than one acceptable but no, I listened to it too,
- 1:38Speaker 1: and it was funny. I was laughing. But I'm like,
- 1:40Speaker 1: oh my god, I need to not drink lots of wine.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Doss he SIPs wine right now. Yeah, but we were
- 1:47Speaker 1: funny as well. I had a lot of fun I
- 1:49Speaker 1: had a lot. Now see now I want to go downstairs.
- 1:52Speaker 1: I know we started already and I said I was
- 1:54Speaker 1: gonna see what you were doing. And now that you
- 1:57Speaker 1: drink it, I wish I would have got a drink. Now, man,
- 1:59Speaker 1: well you can run and get one if you want.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Run Tell that, run tell that dude. They hooked us up.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Did you see that. You're the one who said it
- 2:07Speaker 1: to me. Yeah, the guys um from the ramp song
- 2:11Speaker 1: they also did. They also did the run and tell
- 2:14Speaker 1: that homeboard. They also did He's climbing in your windows,
- 2:17Speaker 1: not Dan your people. Uh oh well, they took all
- 2:23Speaker 1: of me and Donald's versions of singing on the podcast,
- 2:26Speaker 1: and then they cut a video together of the Ramp
- 2:29Speaker 1: song with our versions. It's fire. Pretty cool those guys.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Those guys are talented fellas. Yeah, I mean, when when
- 2:38Speaker 1: it comes to auto tune and writings, they should write
- 2:41Speaker 1: originals man ship because they're taking their a niche. But
- 2:47Speaker 1: they're taking they're taking giberation turning it into fire. You
- 2:52Speaker 1: know what I mean? Yeah, I mean they took some
- 2:54Speaker 1: meaningful words and turned it into Listen, all these famous
- 2:57Speaker 1: people are releasing big track and I'm not walking around
- 3:01Speaker 1: singing any of them. I'm walking around singing the Ramp
- 3:04Speaker 1: song down the rap trending number one. We have to
- 3:13Speaker 1: talk about the whop? Is that how you say it?
- 3:15Speaker 1: Whop you? I'm glad questions I want to touch about
- 3:21Speaker 1: it as Let's do it. Let's get into the whop.
- 3:26Speaker 1: I need your All three of you are are pop
- 3:30Speaker 1: pop culture knowledgeable. We're all very much hip hop heads too,
- 3:34Speaker 1: so you're in our lane right now? Okay? Now is
- 3:37Speaker 1: the point of the song to in addition to being funny,
- 3:41Speaker 1: Because it's obviously provocative and it's obviously funny, I found
- 3:45Speaker 1: the lyrics are very funny to say, like, fuck you
- 3:50Speaker 1: to the patriarchy. We women can talk about our sexuality
- 3:54Speaker 1: just as aggressively and in your face as men do.
- 3:58Speaker 1: So while you're talking about your big dicks, we're tired
- 4:01Speaker 1: of hearing about it. Let's talk about my wet ass pussy. Yeah. Yeah,
- 4:06Speaker 1: isn't an energy since traina since a little kim boardmothers
- 4:11Speaker 1: laiter after of just being openly you know, uh, proud
- 4:17Speaker 1: of our sexuality, of our sexual desires, Like it's just
- 4:20Speaker 1: all out there and in your faith. And I feel
- 4:22Speaker 1: like that's just hip hop culture. And people sometimes get
- 4:24Speaker 1: weirded out when women do it. They're like, I don't
- 4:26Speaker 1: know what all of this, like taking charge of your
- 4:28Speaker 1: own orgasm is. It scares me. Ben Shapiro's it's really
- 4:34Speaker 1: interesting because women in hip hop first started off as
- 4:37Speaker 1: like conscious rappers and stuff like that, and that's all
- 4:40Speaker 1: you would hear was, you know, don't you put your
- 4:42Speaker 1: hands on me? Or you know, ship like that. And
- 4:46Speaker 1: now it's like, look, man, if these fuckers can say it,
- 4:49Speaker 1: if dudes can say it, why can't I say it?
- 4:52Speaker 1: And what makes my lyrics different? If I say that? Ship?
- 4:55Speaker 1: And right? But these days are there and forgive me
- 4:58Speaker 1: for knowing so little about hip pop, but fortunately I
- 5:00Speaker 1: have you guys these days. I know that rappers say
- 5:03Speaker 1: a lot of crazy stuff, but is it Is it
- 5:06Speaker 1: as sexualized these days as as the female version in WP? Absolutely? Yes.
- 5:14Speaker 1: After if you listen to Snoop Dogg's Doggy Style on
- 5:17Speaker 1: the radio, you can't even play the whole thing. It's
- 5:19Speaker 1: just like and they're not saying sniggitty diggitty e did
- 5:27Speaker 1: ur or like they have to, you know what I mean.
- 5:30Speaker 1: And he's talking about you know, the first record is
- 5:33Speaker 1: called Doggie Style, you know what I mean. I guess
- 5:37Speaker 1: that's an old album I'm talking about, Like these days,
- 5:39Speaker 1: two rappers still talk about sexuality as much as they
- 5:41Speaker 1: seem to use. Good Man's B sides are typically pretty like,
- 5:46Speaker 1: oh that's fou, but I love it, So it's there,
- 5:50Speaker 1: it's out there. Absolutely. I don't think I'm gonna I'm
- 5:53Speaker 1: gonna say I don't think it's as much nowadays. I
- 5:55Speaker 1: think because of the climate, it's not as much nowadays.
- 6:00Speaker 1: But I am all for what Cardi B and Megna
- 6:04Speaker 1: Stallion representing man that ship is, that's one. It's fire too.
- 6:09Speaker 1: You know who doesn't like a whop. I'm just I'm
- 6:14Speaker 1: just curious about because the country. I mean, she's obviously
- 6:17Speaker 1: a provocate tour and she did a great sorry they
- 6:19Speaker 1: are provocateus tours whatever, um, And I think they did
- 6:24Speaker 1: a great job getting the world's attention with it, and
- 6:27Speaker 1: not just for what they were saying. I mean, obviously
- 6:29Speaker 1: they looked great and the set was shot really cool.
- 6:32Speaker 1: I thought was cleverly done. But it it got all
- 6:35Speaker 1: the attention they could have possibly wanted, and I just
- 6:38Speaker 1: wanted to I thought we could have a conversation about
- 6:40Speaker 1: what is it that they're triggering in people. I guess
- 6:42Speaker 1: when people like Ben Shapiro, they're triggering people who conservatives
- 6:46Speaker 1: who might say, how dare these women say this kind
- 6:49Speaker 1: of thing to young kids? Right? Is that the crazy
- 6:53Speaker 1: to think that this message is for children? Like it's
- 6:56Speaker 1: wild to be like these women have to all of
- 6:58Speaker 1: the time be reperenced natives for young women when that's
- 7:01Speaker 1: just absolutely not the case. Like they are, they're grown
- 7:04Speaker 1: women doing grown women ship like that's always going to
- 7:06Speaker 1: be appropriate and in their lane. I mean, I'm not
- 7:09Speaker 1: a parent, but you have parental blocks and it has
- 7:12Speaker 1: the sign that the ship says explicit, which means it's
- 7:15Speaker 1: not for children. The fact that the fact that anyone's thinking, yo,
- 7:19Speaker 1: this is you know, you're you're setting a bad example
- 7:22Speaker 1: for kids. Kids aren't supposed to be listening to this.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Same one of those parents who are get letting their
- 7:28Speaker 1: kids listen to the lyrics are crazy. I watched the
- 7:30Speaker 1: video The lyrics are crazy. I watched the video on YouTube,
- 7:33Speaker 1: so it was mostly censored, and then I went and
- 7:36Speaker 1: I was screenshoting the lyrics and say McDonald because I
- 7:39Speaker 1: was laughing so hard at how hardcore and crazy the
- 7:42Speaker 1: lyrics are when you actually see a non censored version.
- 7:46Speaker 1: But she's like the other her end Meg are like
- 7:49Speaker 1: the other examples of what hip hop is. A lot
- 7:54Speaker 1: of these rappers started off as drug dealers. That's just
- 7:58Speaker 1: what it is, right, that is what it is, and
- 8:00Speaker 1: they've taken that negative and turned it into a positive.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Jay Z is a great example most rappers. You can
- 8:06Speaker 1: go through all male rappers and that's most likely where
- 8:08Speaker 1: they started. And here we are now and they're freaking
- 8:11Speaker 1: spitting positive messages or they're spinning this is how you
- 8:14Speaker 1: get out. Cardi B started off as a stripper. Meg
- 8:18Speaker 1: the Stallion I don't know her background, but she shakes
- 8:21Speaker 1: her ass very well. You know what I mean, she
- 8:24Speaker 1: got skills. I'm just saying, if you could take, if
- 8:28Speaker 1: you could take all. Right, this was a part of
- 8:30Speaker 1: my life. I learned a lot from it. Not only
- 8:33Speaker 1: did I learn business from it, but I learned that
- 8:35Speaker 1: this is what all of you dudes really want. Like
- 8:38Speaker 1: she's literally all you dudes that are listening and bopping
- 8:41Speaker 1: at this ship or looking at my ask I know
- 8:43Speaker 1: this is what you want. And you know what it's
- 8:45Speaker 1: gonna do. It's gonna make me some money. It's gonna
- 8:47Speaker 1: put food on the table, it's gonna do all of
- 8:49Speaker 1: these things, gonna it's gonna give me a bigger platform
- 8:53Speaker 1: later on. Go for you. That's what this is. That's
- 8:55Speaker 1: what hip hop is about. That's what rap is, That's
- 8:58Speaker 1: what it's a question. Up. Did you ever watch b
- 9:01Speaker 1: Ets the Basement back in the day? Of course I
- 9:03Speaker 1: watched the Basement. See isn't this much more? Like? This
- 9:06Speaker 1: is so much less provocative. People are acting like the
- 9:09Speaker 1: nineties and early aughts never happened like back in the day,
- 9:12Speaker 1: Like you would just legitimately be at a strip club
- 9:14Speaker 1: like with a like old camera, it's dark, you can
- 9:17Speaker 1: hardly see anything. People are in states of undressed like
- 9:20Speaker 1: this to me seems so much more tame than well,
- 9:24Speaker 1: it's way more. It's way it's brighter, if that's the
- 9:27Speaker 1: way to say it. It's like it's like you've taken
- 9:30Speaker 1: it was dingy back in the day, now that it's
- 9:33Speaker 1: all in four K, you know what I mean? And
- 9:37Speaker 1: that was like what and look at that they got
- 9:42Speaker 1: freaking look at the color like it's it's it's it's
- 9:44Speaker 1: it's florescent almost you know. Yeah, it wasn't an n
- 9:49Speaker 1: W way that had a song that was like, it's
- 9:51Speaker 1: the world's biggest stick, don't matter, just don't bite it, dude.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Do you remember that song? But you know what, let's
- 9:59Speaker 1: take it back. They never really listen. I just remember that.
- 10:01Speaker 1: I just remember that only lyric It's the world's biggest dick,
- 10:04Speaker 1: don't matter, just don't bite it. We could take it
- 10:07Speaker 1: all the way back to Salt and Pepper. I think
- 10:09Speaker 1: Salt and Pepper really worthy beginning of what we're seeing
- 10:13Speaker 1: right now, because before that, I don't know if they
- 10:15Speaker 1: really I don't. I can't recall women that talked about
- 10:18Speaker 1: sex the way Salt and Pepper did they let's talk
- 10:20Speaker 1: about sex baby that one guy, yo, look and this
- 10:24Speaker 1: was controversial back then, you know what I mean? You
- 10:26Speaker 1: make me want to shoot was controversial if you listen
- 10:29Speaker 1: to the lyrics and shoot the song is phil they're
- 10:31Speaker 1: talking about. You know, they're talking about I saw dude
- 10:34Speaker 1: on the beach. His dick looked big and made me
- 10:36Speaker 1: want to shoot, made me you know what I mean.
- 10:39Speaker 1: So you're saying, shoop shoop shoop is about bucking No,
- 10:43Speaker 1: not the Whitney Houston shoop shoot shoop, not that one
- 10:50Speaker 1: I'm talking about. You make me want to shoot, shoop,
- 10:53Speaker 1: shoot shoop. Do ask ask Sarah the lyrics she was
- 11:00Speaker 1: that Sarah knows the lyrics to them to that song.
- 11:02Speaker 1: That song was about Sarah. Chunk probably has no idea
- 11:06Speaker 1: if there's sexual doubt. Sarah went over her innocent ears.
- 11:10Speaker 1: I disagree with you. So want to thank your mother
- 11:12Speaker 1: for a But that's not a line that can easily
- 11:15Speaker 1: go over there. I want to know how does it hang?
- 11:19Speaker 1: They're saying this in the song dude, And there's a
- 11:22Speaker 1: hit songs and what a man, what a man, what
- 11:25Speaker 1: a man, what a mighty doing man? That ship ain't
- 11:28Speaker 1: talking about the dude being a good Dudelet's talk about
- 11:30Speaker 1: this dude knows how the fuck that's what the song
- 11:32Speaker 1: is about. Yeah, dog dog, I didn't know, dog Dong.
- 11:41Speaker 1: I didn't know. There's probably so many songs that we
- 11:44Speaker 1: were bopping our heads too and didn't know what the
- 11:46Speaker 1: innuendo was about. I always knew what the innuendo. Every
- 11:49Speaker 1: R and B song, every ship the fucking song. The
- 11:53Speaker 1: songs in the nineties R and B songs were blatant
- 11:56Speaker 1: his hat and they were straight up in your face,
- 11:59Speaker 1: think I wanna sex you up? That was right to
- 12:05Speaker 1: it got right to the point, your horney, let's do it.
- 12:09Speaker 1: You know what song? You know what song has more
- 12:12Speaker 1: sexual innuendo than any other Donald the theme song to
- 12:15Speaker 1: Thank dr want to count a sender in that case?
- 12:19Speaker 1: Six seven stories about show we made about a bunch
- 12:25Speaker 1: of docs and nurses, Jane, I said, he's the stories.
- 12:34Speaker 1: So get around here are yeah? Around here? Are m
- 12:43Speaker 1: So when I sing and a janitor who loves to hate,
- 12:46Speaker 1: what I'm really saying is, let's fuck, I'm joking that
- 12:53Speaker 1: they're sexual innuendo and that Janet Dooley Baldy Janeitory really
- 13:00Speaker 1: a new love to hate. Let's fuck we gotta put
- 13:07Speaker 1: that into the song. Some stories about a show we
- 13:12Speaker 1: made about a bunch of doctor nurses and janitor who
- 13:17Speaker 1: loves to hate. That's fun. That story so gathering around
- 13:27Speaker 1: to here, let's fuck gather. That's both gathering around too.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Here are we watch show? Doggy style? Alright? That's the
- 13:35Speaker 1: explicit version now available, now available as a ring tone,
- 13:39Speaker 1: lots of let's get into this episode. It was I
- 13:43Speaker 1: don't know, what do you think about this one? I
- 13:45Speaker 1: liked this episode. It had a lot of really cool
- 13:47Speaker 1: guest stars in it. Dick Van Dyke and his deal
- 13:53Speaker 1: Hughley wear colored contacts in this episode. No, those are
- 13:58Speaker 1: his eyes. I believe he has magnificent eyes. Very handsome man,
- 14:02Speaker 1: very very handsome. But I couldn't. He's one of those people.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Their eyes are so entrancing that you're like, are those contacts?
- 14:10Speaker 1: Are those? They're very very light? Yes, he has light eyes.
- 14:15Speaker 1: He must have. He must have when he was younger.
- 14:17Speaker 1: I'm sure he worked it when he was in high school.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Look at his eyes life, No doubt. Did you know D. L.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Hughley at all as an actor before you? He came
- 14:28Speaker 1: on the show. Yeah, you know, he had a show
- 14:30Speaker 1: back in the day on NBC called The Hugh Les.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Do you remember this? I remember the title. I never
- 14:36Speaker 1: saw an episode of it. I don't know if it
- 14:37Speaker 1: was on NBC or ABC. Right, So I had met
- 14:40Speaker 1: him before, Um, but you know, when he came into
- 14:45Speaker 1: play my brother, this was like the first time where
- 14:48Speaker 1: you know, now when I see him, I can be
- 14:51Speaker 1: myself around him and act like who I am, Whereas
- 14:54Speaker 1: when I had met him before, I was very high.
- 14:56Speaker 1: I'm Donald's It's nice to meet you. I enjoy your work.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Where now if I see him, it's like, what's up, man?
- 15:03Speaker 1: What you know, what's you been up to? And we
- 15:05Speaker 1: have questions and you know. And but but when you guys,
- 15:08Speaker 1: when he came on to do the show, you didn't
- 15:10Speaker 1: have a relationship. Now, we didn't have a relationship like that. No.
- 15:13Speaker 1: I was just excited. Everyone was very geeked about Dick
- 15:16Speaker 1: van Dyke obviously, I mean he we grew up on
- 15:20Speaker 1: Dick Van Dyke, and uh, he was just so warm
- 15:25Speaker 1: and loving and Donald played music with him, right, Donald,
- 15:27Speaker 1: what was that story? So? Uh, you know, one of
- 15:31Speaker 1: the first songs I ever learned how to play on
- 15:33Speaker 1: my guitar was I got a book from like Disney,
- 15:37Speaker 1: and Disney doesn't make the book anymore, but it's one
- 15:39Speaker 1: of the best books ever made. It's literally guitar tabs
- 15:43Speaker 1: on how to play every one of their songs in
- 15:47Speaker 1: the whole catalog, and somewhere along the line it got lost.
- 15:51Speaker 1: And so now when I play the song, I only
- 15:53Speaker 1: play it from memory. But it was the it was
- 15:58Speaker 1: the theme didn't well, not the theme song, but the
- 16:03Speaker 1: my in my opinion, the best song in Mary Poppins,
- 16:06Speaker 1: Uh Jolly Holiday, and I learned how to play it,
- 16:10Speaker 1: and uh, it just so happened that Dick Van Dyke
- 16:14Speaker 1: was on the show and I couldn't believe it. And
- 16:17Speaker 1: I was like, dude, I know how to play that song,
- 16:19Speaker 1: and he was like really. I was like, yeah, I
- 16:21Speaker 1: know how to play it. He was like, well, okay.
- 16:23Speaker 1: And then Zack, being the brave person that he is
- 16:26Speaker 1: when he meets like I was just gonna leave it
- 16:28Speaker 1: at that, Zack was like, Dick, he's gonna bring the
- 16:30Speaker 1: guitar to set and you gotta sing. And I was like, Zack,
- 16:33Speaker 1: you can't be telling. Don't don't fucking boss Dick Van
- 16:36Speaker 1: Dyke around and he's like, no, you're gonna sing. You
- 16:39Speaker 1: were very aggressive with it, and you were like, you know,
- 16:42Speaker 1: he's gonna do it. He's gonna do I'm all about
- 16:43Speaker 1: making my best friends dreams come true. And if that means,
- 16:47Speaker 1: if that means embarrassing myself, I'm willing to do it. Well,
- 16:50Speaker 1: you did it twice now because you did it. You
- 16:52Speaker 1: did it here, and then you with my wife, you
- 16:54Speaker 1: went up into the you went up into the group
- 16:58Speaker 1: of girls that she was hang it out with a
- 17:03Speaker 1: to point me out to her. So once again, thank you.
- 17:06Speaker 1: You are you are by far one of the best
- 17:08Speaker 1: wing men. Well, I think a friend, I thank you.
- 17:11Speaker 1: I think a friend needs to sometimes go, oh my god.
- 17:14Speaker 1: You know, would McDonald's like life if he got to
- 17:17Speaker 1: play that song and Dick Van Dyke saying like, I'm
- 17:20Speaker 1: gonna go make that happen. If you can make one
- 17:23Speaker 1: last thing happen, you and I will be best friends forever.
- 17:25Speaker 1: I know what it is and I'm already working on it.
- 17:27Speaker 1: I know. I appreciate you very much. It's Star Wars, guys,
- 17:29Speaker 1: It's right, it's Star Wars. Anyway, don't don't give him
- 17:31Speaker 1: the Bengo chips. So early in the show anyway, So
- 17:34Speaker 1: Dick Van Dyke, I go to set. I go. First
- 17:37Speaker 1: of all, we were at lunch when this happened. So
- 17:38Speaker 1: I go to my dressing room and now I'm practicing.
- 17:41Speaker 1: So I played a ship like as I said to myself,
- 17:43Speaker 1: I could play it ten times straight without sucking up.
- 17:46Speaker 1: We're good. No, no, no no, And I do it.
- 17:51Speaker 1: And I go up there and I'm like in my head,
- 17:53Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm thinking maybe I'll sing on verse and
- 17:55Speaker 1: then he'll sing a verse whatever however it goes, and
- 17:57Speaker 1: he goes, you're ready, kid, and I'm like, yeah, ready.
- 18:00Speaker 1: And nobody knew what we were gonna, what was about
- 18:03Speaker 1: to happen, but that we hadn't started shooting yet and
- 18:06Speaker 1: we were at video village, and so I start boom them, boom,
- 18:12Speaker 1: boom them, doun boom, don't don't don't boom, don't out,
- 18:16Speaker 1: and he just jumps right in. Ain't needed a glorious
- 18:18Speaker 1: day ride the morning in may I feel. And now
- 18:24Speaker 1: at this point everybody notices, oh ship, Dick Van Dyke
- 18:28Speaker 1: singing Jolly Holiday. All the attention goes from uh, getting
- 18:34Speaker 1: the shot ready for the for the scene. To me
- 18:37Speaker 1: and now sound, it's like yo yo yo, turn turn up,
- 18:41Speaker 1: turn up, turn up, And now I got a boom
- 18:43Speaker 1: mic over me and Dick Van Dyke and we're at
- 18:46Speaker 1: the point where we're at like, you know, uh, he's
- 18:49Speaker 1: he's that. I feel like I could fly, don't boom?
- 18:55Speaker 1: Have you ever seen? And to me it sounded like
- 18:59Speaker 1: he was singing it with the accent, but I'm sure
- 19:01Speaker 1: he was like have you ever seen? Right? And so
- 19:05Speaker 1: we've finished the song and everything like that, and uh,
- 19:09Speaker 1: you know, there's a big video everywhere. I remember everyone out.
- 19:12Speaker 1: It was so special, but I don't know if anyone
- 19:13Speaker 1: ever captured on video. I don't think it was captured
- 19:16Speaker 1: on it might have been no, no, no. I think
- 19:18Speaker 1: the steadicamp whoever was working the camera zoomed in and
- 19:21Speaker 1: sound everyone sort of flipped the cameras around. Yeah, and
- 19:24Speaker 1: we kind of you know what I mean, But it's
- 19:26Speaker 1: nowhere to be found. I think Joe would have it
- 19:29Speaker 1: if he I think, wasn't he the sound guy at
- 19:33Speaker 1: the time. Joe is our sound mixer, Yeah, so he
- 19:36Speaker 1: might have it. Uh. But anyway, it was a really
- 19:39Speaker 1: special moment because Donald was just like, you know he
- 19:41Speaker 1: loves this song. Anytime Donald picks up a guitar, he
- 19:44Speaker 1: plays this song. It's it's my It's my go to.
- 19:46Speaker 1: And there was Dick Van Dyke singing along with him.
- 19:48Speaker 1: I love how he was like, your ready, kid, let's
- 19:50Speaker 1: do it, let's go boom and he and he put
- 19:54Speaker 1: on a show too, like he looked around at everybody
- 19:56Speaker 1: while he was singing it. It was like, you know,
- 19:58Speaker 1: when the attention, when the lights are on, Dick van
- 20:01Speaker 1: diagnos how to freaking he turns up baby. Yeah, we
- 20:04Speaker 1: had aspired to get him on, but I don't think
- 20:06Speaker 1: we ever reached his people, did be Joel couldn't get answer. Sorry,
- 20:11Speaker 1: But also, I mean, I have no idea what sort
- 20:15Speaker 1: of what he's like these days. He must be quite
- 20:17Speaker 1: an older fella. Um, so I don't know. I don't know. Well,
- 20:21Speaker 1: he's playing an older fella in this episode. So twenty
- 20:24Speaker 1: years ago, yeah, twenty years ago, so I imagine that.
- 20:27Speaker 1: He mean, I don't know how old he is. How
- 20:28Speaker 1: old is he, Joel? Do you know he's gotta be
- 20:30Speaker 1: in his he's gotta I think older than eighties. Yeah,
- 20:35Speaker 1: I would say he's ninety. Really, let's see if I'm right,
- 20:39Speaker 1: drum roll please four he's up there with my grandfather.
- 20:45Speaker 1: My grandfather's around that age too. Would your grandfather is
- 20:49Speaker 1: told alive? Yeah, I guess it would be weird if
- 20:52Speaker 1: you're like, my grandfather's ninety four. Is he live? No,
- 20:53Speaker 1: he's dead. He's just people really stopped counting keeping track
- 20:58Speaker 1: of ages when when people die. Some people just realize that.
- 21:01Speaker 1: I have a good question, tribute question before you in
- 21:05Speaker 1: the episode. And I've been thinking about this for all
- 21:06Speaker 1: of you. Are you ready? I knew the audience will
- 21:08Speaker 1: play along. The first thing I'm gonna say is, guess
- 21:12Speaker 1: my question when I give the qualifier that is this
- 21:17Speaker 1: other than Empire strikes Back and Godfather too? Comma, what
- 21:25Speaker 1: what's the best sequels? What are the best sequels ever made?
- 21:28Speaker 1: A sequel that's better than the original Aliens? I disagree wholeheartedly.
- 21:36Speaker 1: But you think Alien is better than Yes, it's about
- 21:39Speaker 1: a mother, Okay. You think it's wonderful film about a
- 21:42Speaker 1: monster as a mother and how we view ourselves as
- 21:44Speaker 1: like women in motherhood and turned into an action film,
- 21:47Speaker 1: which is fine. It's a good movie, but it does
- 21:49Speaker 1: not hold up to Alien. I put my father on
- 21:52Speaker 1: this too. It's fine, it's fair. We have problems because
- 21:56Speaker 1: you said the end of Toy Story three is the
- 22:00Speaker 1: best ending of all movies ever. Let's go yes, this
- 22:06Speaker 1: is where this is okay, this is where Joel and
- 22:08Speaker 1: I differ. Okay, best ending to a movie so far
- 22:14Speaker 1: in my lifetime, mhm, I gotta think. I had to
- 22:17Speaker 1: think about it. I really had to think about it.
- 22:21Speaker 1: But I really truly believe, mhm. End Game has one
- 22:26Speaker 1: of the best endings ever to a movie ever. In
- 22:30Speaker 1: your going on a digression from my digression, can you no, no, no, no, no,
- 22:34Speaker 1: no no no. We're not trying to go down in
- 22:36Speaker 1: an Endgame one right now, But this is a conversation
- 22:39Speaker 1: that Joel and I need to have before we move forward.
- 22:42Speaker 1: I say, Endgame has a pretty good ending, and I
- 22:46Speaker 1: think that's why, because the movie is all right until
- 22:49Speaker 1: the end when all of that ship goes down. I
- 22:52Speaker 1: don't even think Toy Story three, well, no, I take
- 22:54Speaker 1: that back. I think Toy Story three is the best
- 22:56Speaker 1: of all the Toy stories actually, if I really think
- 22:58Speaker 1: about it. Here's another one on the list found that
- 23:00Speaker 1: I agree with. I think, do you want to hear
- 23:03Speaker 1: another one? One on the list because I googled what
- 23:06Speaker 1: people have thought and one that I might agree with.
- 23:08Speaker 1: This might be controversial, but Terminator two mm T two,
- 23:12Speaker 1: it is definitely better. You think it's better than one. Yeah,
- 23:15Speaker 1: that's tough. Now, that's a tough one for me because
- 23:18Speaker 1: one is so one was so scary for me, and
- 23:20Speaker 1: too just became, like you said, it was just an action.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Was like a toy story too, Toy story two. That
- 23:26Speaker 1: was gonna be my answer, toy story two. I think
- 23:28Speaker 1: it's But three is better than two, Okay, I've never
- 23:32Speaker 1: seen which is an incredible series I've never seen. But
- 23:36Speaker 1: they're saying Blade too on this Listen, Well, you know,
- 23:40Speaker 1: until Marvel came out with all with Iron Man and
- 23:43Speaker 1: stuff like that, Wesley Snipes had the best superhero movie,
- 23:48Speaker 1: comic book superhero movie period until better than Superman four.
- 23:54Speaker 1: Super he goes flies around the Earth and turns it backwards, right. One.
- 23:59Speaker 1: That's that's one. That's one, okay. By the Gremlins two
- 24:04Speaker 1: is on here. There's no better than Gremlin's one. I
- 24:08Speaker 1: don't agree with that either. Donald, You'll feel passionately about this.
- 24:11Speaker 1: This list is saying Indiana Jones in the Temple of Doom.
- 24:15Speaker 1: It was better than Raiders. I'm just saying, this is
- 24:17Speaker 1: a list is I don't think so it got it
- 24:20Speaker 1: got crazy after that, and then they reeled it back
- 24:23Speaker 1: in when they got Sean Connery. Uh in part three.
- 24:27Speaker 1: Remember when I was a kid. It's saying Superman two.
- 24:30Speaker 1: I like Superman two better than one. No, you're enough
- 24:33Speaker 1: to comment, you don't know enough about it. Okay, I've
- 24:36Speaker 1: not watched all the Superman movies. There are there are
- 24:39Speaker 1: there are, but there are several different versions of Superman
- 24:42Speaker 1: one and two. There's the long versions, there the short versions.
- 24:45Speaker 1: I got one other trivia for you that's really good
- 24:47Speaker 1: ready and then well, and then we'll move on. This
- 24:49Speaker 1: is always thinking about while I was separated from you, guys,
- 24:52Speaker 1: like fun trivia questions for for people that love movies?
- 24:55Speaker 1: What's a what's the worst sequel following the greatest film?
- 25:01Speaker 1: That is the disparity between their goodness and badness is
- 25:05Speaker 1: the biggest one. The one that came to mind. I
- 25:09Speaker 1: haven't even seen it, to be honest, but it's always
- 25:11Speaker 1: notoriously mocked. Would be Jaws too, Ah hmm. Interesting, you
- 25:18Speaker 1: guys got any ideas the film was so ethically good,
- 25:22Speaker 1: and they made a sequel that was so horribly shite,
- 25:27Speaker 1: so not quite to those specifics, but the fantastic best
- 25:31Speaker 1: sequel was so bad I had to walk out, and
- 25:33Speaker 1: I was like, this has completely derailed one of my
- 25:36Speaker 1: most beloved franchises of all time. I am devastated. Uh
- 25:42Speaker 1: I never walked out of a movie. I left. I
- 25:44Speaker 1: got an answer. I might get torn up by Disney
- 25:46Speaker 1: people for it. I think Frozen two is markedly worse
- 25:51Speaker 1: than Frozen. Yes, I hope that go. I mean some
- 25:54Speaker 1: people would say it goes without saying. Some people will
- 25:56Speaker 1: be like, I will see you when you're mentioned friend.
- 26:01Speaker 1: Just so. It was like there were so many bad
- 26:04Speaker 1: tropes in there, and there was some really really you know,
- 26:07Speaker 1: kind of shady suggestion. The music was just like the
- 26:12Speaker 1: music was was definitely not as good as it was
- 26:15Speaker 1: close Let It Go and Frozen two there was no well,
- 26:19Speaker 1: my favorite song and Frozen one was song bees Will Buzz,
- 26:24Speaker 1: kids will blow down, They're lying fuzz and I'll be
- 26:27Speaker 1: doing whatever snow does in summer. And in the sequel,
- 26:33Speaker 1: there was nothing that could compare to that in my opinion. Right, Well,
- 26:37Speaker 1: that's today's game of trivia. Presented by fake doctor's real friend.
- 26:41Speaker 1: I still feel like story three isn't the best ending.
- 26:46Speaker 1: I think let's let's bench this conversation. I think Jedi
- 26:49Speaker 1: has a better ending. I think Return of the Jedi
- 26:52Speaker 1: was a better ending, but doesn't have a better overarching
- 26:55Speaker 1: arc throughout all three movies, which would make its conclusion better.
- 26:58Speaker 1: The end of the third movie is exact ending as
- 27:00Speaker 1: the first movie. It's a loop, and so you don't
- 27:02Speaker 1: get that same as the next trajectory of the three
- 27:06Speaker 1: parts of Toy Story. But yeah, because you know Andy
- 27:09Speaker 1: has to give. Andy has to lose those toys eventually, exactly.
- 27:13Speaker 1: I agree, And you know what, you know what, Joel,
- 27:18Speaker 1: We're cried. I'm not gonna lie though. I cried like
- 27:23Speaker 1: a baby at the end of Toy Story three when
- 27:26Speaker 1: he's sitting on the freaking outside in the grass with
- 27:29Speaker 1: the girl playing with the toys, and then she's finally
- 27:32Speaker 1: like she goes to grab Woody and he's like, oh no,
- 27:35Speaker 1: this is this is nope, and then he realizes I
- 27:38Speaker 1: can't keep this forever. I need to keep tear up
- 27:42Speaker 1: right now his mom room. I was undone. I was like,
- 27:51Speaker 1: you watch Toy Story four, it's not the best. It's
- 27:54Speaker 1: not as good as all real. I really thought it
- 27:56Speaker 1: was boring as home. It was sweet, alright, alright, so
- 28:03Speaker 1: get the time, we're ready, Here we go, Here we go.
- 28:04Speaker 1: All right, hold on me, get my time. We're ready,
- 28:07Speaker 1: warming it up, warming it up? Okay, and here we go.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Donald will now summarize the episode in seconds. I don't
- 28:17Speaker 1: know about summarizes. Here we go and go. Dick Van
- 28:20Speaker 1: Dyke and d L. Hugeley guest star in this episode.
- 28:23Speaker 1: Both characters are there to be a form of stability
- 28:25Speaker 1: for Turk and j D, while Elliott is left fending
- 28:28Speaker 1: for herself against Cox and Jordan's Carla has a decision
- 28:31Speaker 1: to make, and she fears what she decides could haunt
- 28:34Speaker 1: her for the rest of her life. But Dr Kelso
- 28:36Speaker 1: has the most important task to deal with. Sometimes the
- 28:39Speaker 1: right thing to do hurts us, but if it's right,
- 28:43Speaker 1: shouldn't it be worth the sacrifice? Fire? Oh fucking seconds?
- 28:50Speaker 1: Powerfully worded um, it is about something I'm sure comes
- 28:56Speaker 1: up for real in hospitals. I'm sure this probably came
- 28:59Speaker 1: from real j D idea that some doctors, if they're
- 29:02Speaker 1: not keeping up with the latest medicine. I have to
- 29:05Speaker 1: retire because the ship gets antiquated real quick. Yeah. Uh.
- 29:11Speaker 1: And it doesn't necessarily have to be age or anything
- 29:14Speaker 1: like that, it really has to be. It really is
- 29:17Speaker 1: do you have the stamina to continue? You know what
- 29:20Speaker 1: I mean? If you have the stamina to learn, and
- 29:22Speaker 1: because once you once you're out of med school, that
- 29:24Speaker 1: doesn't mean learning is over for you. You still have
- 29:28Speaker 1: to learn what's new, and you know, new procedures and
- 29:31Speaker 1: and and that's what all these seminar and new uh
- 29:34Speaker 1: new uh medicine, that's what all of these seminars afford.
- 29:38Speaker 1: Also have the stamina to do that, then Kelso even says,
- 29:41Speaker 1: like five years out of med school, half of what
- 29:43Speaker 1: you learned is obsolutely something. So Ken was really good
- 29:47Speaker 1: in this episode because it was sort of the most
- 29:49Speaker 1: human uh you know Ken. When he was on the podcast,
- 29:53Speaker 1: he was talking about how he felt he was so
- 29:55Speaker 1: cartoonish in season one, and he was, and Bill had
- 29:58Speaker 1: sort of told him like, look, we're gonna to help
- 30:00Speaker 1: you build a character that is more than just this
- 30:03Speaker 1: devilied bad guy. And I thought this episode he had
- 30:07Speaker 1: some funny a lot of funny jokes, but also particularly
- 30:10Speaker 1: the scene at the end where he has um where
- 30:13Speaker 1: he confronts Dick van Dyke's character. I thought that it
- 30:17Speaker 1: was I was I was taking it back by going, oh,
- 30:20Speaker 1: this is this is a real moment for Kenny's really
- 30:22Speaker 1: showing compassion um, you know, And and they're letting Ken
- 30:27Speaker 1: act beyond being the spooky, scary bad guy. Well, that
- 30:31Speaker 1: was one of my notes. Ken really does shine in
- 30:33Speaker 1: this episode. And it's not just it wasn't just the
- 30:36Speaker 1: end of the episode that that he really uh that
- 30:40Speaker 1: he really comes through. It's also when you come into
- 30:43Speaker 1: the office, when j D comes into the office and
- 30:45Speaker 1: rats on Dick van Dyck's character and Ken is there.
- 30:51Speaker 1: You know, someone like me would be like, really is
- 30:56Speaker 1: this is this? So did you actually do this in
- 30:59Speaker 1: front of the person like that? That's where I have like,
- 31:02Speaker 1: no coup. I guess I might call the person out
- 31:06Speaker 1: in front of the person that was ratting on him.
- 31:09Speaker 1: But he waits. He waits until it's clear it's it's
- 31:14Speaker 1: you know, and then he makes his move to talk
- 31:16Speaker 1: to his friend because he knows one this is gonna
- 31:19Speaker 1: hurt my friend too. I don't want to embarrass him.
- 31:23Speaker 1: And and he definitely definitely makes a conscious choice that
- 31:26Speaker 1: I'm not going to do this in front of the
- 31:28Speaker 1: young kid out of respect to him. But I thought
- 31:31Speaker 1: it was cool that he was like, hey, um when
- 31:33Speaker 1: he confronts him in the I c U. He says, hey,
- 31:35Speaker 1: we're not doing that technique like you're doing it. You know,
- 31:39Speaker 1: our policy here is now we do it this way.
- 31:41Speaker 1: And he's like okay, and he's like, there's a guy
- 31:43Speaker 1: in bed two who needs one. I want to see
- 31:45Speaker 1: you do it. And it was like, oh shit, and
- 31:49Speaker 1: uh he clearly he clearly hadn't learned the new way
- 31:51Speaker 1: of doing the procedure. You know. Yeah, it was very,
- 31:55Speaker 1: very very Uh. I thought I thought Ken was amazing
- 31:58Speaker 1: in this episode. He actually the first laugh I wrote
- 32:01Speaker 1: down was when at one or four but Ken walks
- 32:03Speaker 1: in and he's talking to me. He don't think I
- 32:06Speaker 1: have anything against ugly people I and I go, why
- 32:09Speaker 1: would I think that? And he looks at me he goes, uh,
- 32:12Speaker 1: no reason, I'm called ugly by the way. For JD Slash,
- 32:16Speaker 1: Zach Brath was called ugly several times in the UFF.
- 32:19Speaker 1: And here's the kicker, and I see, have you seen
- 32:22Speaker 1: a picture of Brad Pitt's brother. Yeah, he looks like me.
- 32:27Speaker 1: You guys look almost identical. Dude look like he doesn't
- 32:32Speaker 1: look like Brad. Yeah, he does look like no offense. Yeah,
- 32:37Speaker 1: I've seen it looks just like Brad. I've seen a
- 32:40Speaker 1: meme that's like Brad Pitt mixed with me makes his
- 32:44Speaker 1: brother or something like that. How is that not a
- 32:47Speaker 1: handsome thing? I know, I just I feel like I
- 32:50Speaker 1: have one of those faces people think I look like
- 32:53Speaker 1: so many people. I'm gonna say, he's been a part
- 32:55Speaker 1: of my ever since I got you know, became known.
- 32:57Speaker 1: It's been a thing. Like there was I don't know
- 32:59Speaker 1: if it still up. There was like a blog tumbler page.
- 33:02Speaker 1: There was like men who look like Zach Braft dot
- 33:04Speaker 1: com because because here's the thing, here's the thing, Dax
- 33:08Speaker 1: Shepherd looks more like you than you look like him.
- 33:13Speaker 1: You know what I mean. I thought you're gonna say,
- 33:14Speaker 1: Dax Shepherd looks more like me than I look like me. No, no, no,
- 33:18Speaker 1: Dak Shepherd looks more like you than you look like him.
- 33:21Speaker 1: So like, if you would to take his face and
- 33:23Speaker 1: put it on you, you would see Zach Bratt. But
- 33:26Speaker 1: if you took you, you wouldn't be like, oh, that's
- 33:30Speaker 1: that's you know what I mean. Dax has become the
- 33:31Speaker 1: most extreme, and I actually see the decks thing. Obviously
- 33:34Speaker 1: we look like we could be brothers. But other than Dax,
- 33:38Speaker 1: there's been so many people in my life. I told
- 33:40Speaker 1: you the story about Anne Hathaway's old boyfriend, and and
- 33:44Speaker 1: obviously Ray Romano and and uh and now Brad Pitt's
- 33:48Speaker 1: brother and what are you laughing about? Joll say, it's
- 33:52Speaker 1: a list apparently look like Neon Trotsky, which is hilarious
- 33:58Speaker 1: to me because somebody, you don't are you guys? Are
- 34:00Speaker 1: you guys are both on the You guys are both
- 34:02Speaker 1: on the webage was one of them? Yeahma from the
- 34:05Speaker 1: seventies is on here? What? Oh my god? This is
- 34:10Speaker 1: so funny. People listening at home, You guys can play
- 34:13Speaker 1: along and at home by going to men who look
- 34:16Speaker 1: like Zach Braft dot com will probably shut them. Shut
- 34:18Speaker 1: the tumbler page down if you all click at the
- 34:20Speaker 1: same time. It's a blog spot page. It's dot blogspot
- 34:25Speaker 1: dot com and there's a letter from the editor which says,
- 34:27Speaker 1: the editorial board of this website doesn't always agree on
- 34:31Speaker 1: who's braffy and how big is the editorial board of
- 34:37Speaker 1: that website. It's they must have annual meetings to discuss
- 34:42Speaker 1: if someone's braffy and oh my god, dude, you're a
- 34:45Speaker 1: business man. You're a business man. Well all right, he
- 34:51Speaker 1: doesn't big arrival at one oh six amazing. It's one
- 34:55Speaker 1: of the best uh in Scrub's history, of my opinion,
- 34:59Speaker 1: it's just so many a uh. You know, we all
- 35:02Speaker 1: we all have that moment where we walked through that hallway.
- 35:05Speaker 1: I think his is up there with ours, you know
- 35:08Speaker 1: what I mean, Like, no one beats our pimplock, but
- 35:11Speaker 1: he's up there. Yeah, it's up there though, you know
- 35:14Speaker 1: what I mean, especially everybody loves and that was great.
- 35:18Speaker 1: That was great. He sings with Ted's band briefly, and
- 35:20Speaker 1: then the janitor, who we've never seen really love anyone,
- 35:23Speaker 1: just says thank you for being you, and then he
- 35:27Speaker 1: gives me a big hug the hu. And then you
- 35:30Speaker 1: get invited into the brain Trust because Van Dyck's character
- 35:34Speaker 1: vouchers for you. What is his name? Yes, so the
- 35:38Speaker 1: brain Trust. I don't think it's called the brain Trust
- 35:40Speaker 1: but yet. But this is the first appearance of the
- 35:43Speaker 1: brain Trust in an episode of Scrubs. Now that was
- 35:47Speaker 1: Bobby our dolly grip. Yeah. Uh, the late Robert Foster,
- 35:52Speaker 1: his father. Yeah, so Bobby Foster was a dolly group
- 35:56Speaker 1: for the length And for those of you know, the
- 35:58Speaker 1: dolly is the thing that cameras on when it's gliding
- 36:01Speaker 1: around or moving up and down and um, sometimes it's
- 36:04Speaker 1: just rolling on the floor, sometimes it's on tracks. Um.
- 36:07Speaker 1: It has a silent hydraulic lift in it so that
- 36:10Speaker 1: the camera can kind of move up and down without
- 36:13Speaker 1: making any noise. And it's a very very skilled um
- 36:16Speaker 1: position on the set because you have to be able
- 36:18Speaker 1: to hit lots of marks. You have to be able
- 36:20Speaker 1: to be moving it left and right while it's going
- 36:22Speaker 1: up and down at the same time. It's a it's
- 36:24Speaker 1: a really important position. And for the length of the
- 36:28Speaker 1: show he was our a camera dolly grip And this
- 36:31Speaker 1: was his cameo as a brain Trust member. As a
- 36:34Speaker 1: brain Trust member and his dad like great Robert Foster, Yeah,
- 36:38Speaker 1: they go. So he summoned some of his dad's skills.
- 36:41Speaker 1: Now we're jumping ahead, but there's a really funny moment
- 36:44Speaker 1: in when Neil was just riffing. It was really funny
- 36:50Speaker 1: and you can see crazy guys. Margot who I think
- 36:53Speaker 1: he came up with that, Neil, and then he said,
- 36:55Speaker 1: Troy is gonna stop spitting in your food. That's the
- 36:58Speaker 1: favor that Troy is gonna do for me and m
- 37:02Speaker 1: And then, um, if you look at the end, you
- 37:04Speaker 1: guys would go back and link the episode. Nil At
- 37:07Speaker 1: starts just laughing because he's praying. I think he made
- 37:12Speaker 1: all this up, the prayer and the praying and everything.
- 37:14Speaker 1: He's like, Lord, please help Margo to find your way
- 37:17Speaker 1: home tonight. And it looks like he looks like he
- 37:21Speaker 1: tries to play it off like he's like getting like
- 37:23Speaker 1: gonna but yeah, but he's fucking not to laugh. And
- 37:27Speaker 1: that was rare for Neil that he would ever break character.
- 37:32Speaker 1: That was very funny. I laughed very hard at that.
- 37:36Speaker 1: I always thought that this was the first episode where
- 37:38Speaker 1: you said chocolate bear and it wasn't. I was proven wrong, obviously. Yeah,
- 37:42Speaker 1: but this is the second time you said. It's only second.
- 37:45Speaker 1: I'm wondering if I just came in on the first episode,
- 37:48Speaker 1: the last episode and did it and we all thought
- 37:50Speaker 1: it was so funny that were just like, Oh, that's
- 37:51Speaker 1: gonna be a thing, right, Todd power walking through the hospital.
- 38:00Speaker 1: He loves it now. That you didn't laugh at that.
- 38:06Speaker 1: I did. I just didn't understand how. So I've paid
- 38:08Speaker 1: Todd or I've offered Todd money to go do that.
- 38:11Speaker 1: I bet you that if you such and such and such,
- 38:14Speaker 1: and you know, if if Carl doesn't say yes, then
- 38:16Speaker 1: I'll power walk naked through this hospital singing Janice Choplin.
- 38:20Speaker 1: She obviously hasn't said yes yet. And then so I
- 38:22Speaker 1: offered Todd money to do it. He doesn't want the money,
- 38:25Speaker 1: He just loves doing it. His line is no, I
- 38:28Speaker 1: don't need the money that was for me. Yeah, I'm
- 38:31Speaker 1: going back out there, and he goes, I'm going back Hey,
- 38:34Speaker 1: I'm going back out now. You later say that you
- 38:38Speaker 1: recognize me, not from Todd having a ripped body that's
- 38:42Speaker 1: nothing like j D's. I'm noticing my puffin stuff is
- 38:46Speaker 1: what you call it? Right? And then I say, um, um, wait,
- 38:51Speaker 1: what did I say to that? I wrote it down?
- 38:54Speaker 1: Oh you go A three? You go, I can pick
- 38:56Speaker 1: your puffin stuff out of a lineup, and I go,
- 38:59Speaker 1: it's it changed since you saw it? Got it got
- 39:02Speaker 1: a haircut, which means that I've done some manscaping. But
- 39:08Speaker 1: I just don't understand why you do you man escape?
- 39:11Speaker 1: Do you do you maintain your your situation? Yeah? You know,
- 39:15Speaker 1: nobody likes it. I mean maybe some people do. I
- 39:17Speaker 1: could be wrong. Hold on, I don't want to step
- 39:19Speaker 1: over the line and say that you know what we
- 39:21Speaker 1: should want? You know? How about we just go to break.
- 39:23Speaker 1: Let's just go to break when we come back when
- 39:25Speaker 1: you talk about manscaping, All right, let's get back to manscaping. Donald,
- 39:36Speaker 1: do you man escape? I think personally, um, it's important
- 39:39Speaker 1: to cut the hedges back every now and then. If
- 39:42Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, Yeah, you know, it makes
- 39:44Speaker 1: things look grander. Yeah, that's true. That's true. It also
- 39:48Speaker 1: makes your house look larger if you cut down your heade.
- 39:52Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Uh, I will say this,
- 39:59Speaker 1: yes I do. At one point I didn't because uh
- 40:06Speaker 1: I didn't know who told you. No. I was out
- 40:11Speaker 1: with you and Jessica Macardo. Remember Jessica Macardo to go
- 40:15Speaker 1: friend from the old days. Yeah, I've known her since
- 40:18Speaker 1: I was three years old. And we were at Joseph's
- 40:22Speaker 1: one night and somehow nanscape. Yeah, and somehow manscaping came
- 40:26Speaker 1: up and I was and I said no, and I
- 40:29Speaker 1: showed you guys my Uh, Harry Bush, you took out
- 40:33Speaker 1: your bush at the nightclub. Well, I just pulled my
- 40:36Speaker 1: pants down a little bit, and you guys were all
- 40:39Speaker 1: like and I remember being like ill. I was like,
- 40:44Speaker 1: let me see yours, and none of you guys would
- 40:48Speaker 1: show me yours. Well, the person that's gonna do that
- 40:52Speaker 1: at a nightclub. But I had been drinking, Okay, Well
- 40:54Speaker 1: I had been drinking. We all had been drinking, so
- 40:56Speaker 1: at this point, uh, inhibitions were out the rim. So well,
- 41:00Speaker 1: I think it's important for men out there to um,
- 41:03Speaker 1: to be open to to bringing it back, to bringing
- 41:07Speaker 1: in the hedges a little bit. That woman hair woman
- 41:10Speaker 1: or bunk man is for real. When you got hair
- 41:12Speaker 1: down there, that bunk's for real. Man. Listen, you're woman
- 41:15Speaker 1: or man, whoever you're, whoever you're with, they might not
- 41:18Speaker 1: have the courage to to tell you, but you know,
- 41:22Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. Is another edition of the more you know, dan, prepare,
- 41:25Speaker 1: the more you know music. If your bush is too big,
- 41:29Speaker 1: trim it back. There are some people that don't that
- 41:32Speaker 1: don't mind big bush. I'm not talking about women, Okay,
- 41:35Speaker 1: I wouldn't have the audacity to talk about that. I'm saying,
- 41:38Speaker 1: I think there are some men out there that that
- 41:40Speaker 1: just let it all go crazy, and I think that
- 41:44Speaker 1: they need us to tell them to rein it in.
- 41:47Speaker 1: But how do you rein it in? Do you take
- 41:48Speaker 1: scissors to it? I take one of those um you know,
- 41:51Speaker 1: the clippers WITHOU have a the spacer thing on it
- 41:55Speaker 1: so you can choose how long you want your your
- 41:58Speaker 1: Here's another question. Is it just a the junk or
- 42:01Speaker 1: do you get balls? And I do balls, shaft and
- 42:05Speaker 1: get in between? Do you get in between? Do you
- 42:07Speaker 1: get the taint area? Do I do? Tain't? Um sometimes
- 42:11Speaker 1: Joel is Joel, I'm sorry, I'm trying to out there.
- 42:19Speaker 1: You do? Yeah, I do the whole area. I do
- 42:22Speaker 1: with the whole region because will be you know it
- 42:24Speaker 1: would be great is if I wasn't scared to wax,
- 42:27Speaker 1: that would be amazing. But like like most people, I
- 42:31Speaker 1: can't shave with the straight razor because I get I
- 42:34Speaker 1: have sensitive skin and I get razor bumps and I'm
- 42:36Speaker 1: afraid that that would happen down there. And that's the
- 42:39Speaker 1: last place where I want to ingrown hair is like
- 42:43Speaker 1: in my butth hole. You know what I mean. You
- 42:45Speaker 1: can go have your anus um, and inside your cheeks
- 42:47Speaker 1: waxed if you want, especially since we live near West Hollywood,
- 42:50Speaker 1: where I'm sure there's a place on every corner. Yeah,
- 42:52Speaker 1: but I'm just saying that would be. And why are
- 42:54Speaker 1: you pointing your head you do that? I'm saying, that's
- 42:56Speaker 1: a good idea. Do you wax your asshole? I'm gonna
- 42:59Speaker 1: say about that, Dan, Dan, Dan, Dan Dan play the
- 43:03Speaker 1: More you know music again, Dan waxes. Okay, So if
- 43:10Speaker 1: we're talking about waxing, let's get into bleaching. Would you
- 43:13Speaker 1: bleach your asshole? Why would I bleach my asshole? That's like,
- 43:17Speaker 1: that's for people that want a certain coloring to their asshole.
- 43:20Speaker 1: Mine's mine's fine. I'll take whatever God gave me on that.
- 43:23Speaker 1: I'm just saying that, Like, you know, when you get
- 43:25Speaker 1: to be a hairy person, you know you gotta you
- 43:29Speaker 1: can't let your your lawn take over the neighbor's yard.
- 43:37Speaker 1: And the more you know right there, that's the more
- 43:40Speaker 1: you know right there, Dan, that was the more you
- 43:42Speaker 1: know break right there anyway, And also Daniel wax is
- 43:47Speaker 1: his asshole. We should try it, though, Donald, you think
- 43:49Speaker 1: when when COVID's over, do you want to go get
- 43:51Speaker 1: our butt holes wax with me. Absolutely, we'll do it,
- 43:53Speaker 1: and we'll do it online. We'll do it on we'll
- 43:55Speaker 1: record it, we'll record the audience toward the scream come
- 43:59Speaker 1: from out. That would be great content. By the way,
- 44:02Speaker 1: if when the world reopens, if you and I induced
- 44:05Speaker 1: go out and go out on the street for some
- 44:07Speaker 1: of this, like on today's episode. Yeah, we're gonna talk
- 44:09Speaker 1: about the show, but we also have a pre taped
- 44:11Speaker 1: segment where Donald and I went and had our anuses waxed.
- 44:14Speaker 1: I love it, damn covid ring. I'll be there, Daniel.
- 44:22Speaker 1: Daniel will take us to his guy. All right, how
- 44:28Speaker 1: about it? When Kelso goes to me at five something,
- 44:31Speaker 1: he goes, he goes, I go, come on, sir, tell
- 44:35Speaker 1: me a story from the old eggs. He goes, Well,
- 44:38Speaker 1: I don't like you. Yea. I laughed at that. I
- 44:43Speaker 1: have that. Yeah, once again, Sarah Chalk, very funny in
- 44:50Speaker 1: this episode. Yeah, I had some great moments with That's
- 44:54Speaker 1: a good that's a that's another good question for everyone
- 44:56Speaker 1: out there. You know, I personally wanted to know the
- 45:00Speaker 1: sex of my baby when they were before they were born,
- 45:04Speaker 1: just so all ninety two of them just so we
- 45:07Speaker 1: could get the the nursery right and the clothes right
- 45:12Speaker 1: so that we wouldn't have to take things back, and
- 45:15Speaker 1: the colors were all you know. Uh, but there are
- 45:18Speaker 1: a lot of people out there that don't that that
- 45:20Speaker 1: they want to be surprised. Um, how do you feel
- 45:24Speaker 1: about that exact? I think it would be crazy to
- 45:29Speaker 1: not know. I think when someone knows, I want to know. Um,
- 45:32Speaker 1: I understand. I understand some people say that like with
- 45:36Speaker 1: you here, we go finish your thought. Well, I just
- 45:40Speaker 1: think that if the doctor's sitting there of three ft
- 45:44Speaker 1: away from me and she or or he or she knows,
- 45:46Speaker 1: I would want to know. I don't. I don't, but
- 45:48Speaker 1: I understand the people saying, look, there's not that many
- 45:52Speaker 1: life changing surprises that will blow your mind like this one. Uh,
- 45:56Speaker 1: go and go and enjoy it. I don't know. I
- 45:58Speaker 1: feel like I just want to know. No. I first
- 46:01Speaker 1: of all, like the gender to be is like the
- 46:04Speaker 1: last thing is the baby. Here's good, Like let's go
- 46:07Speaker 1: whatever is most important obviously, yeah, but but beyond that,
- 46:11Speaker 1: like I just think, yeah, just what an amazing surprise, like,
- 46:15Speaker 1: oh my god, it's a baby. I just think it
- 46:18Speaker 1: would just be crazy like, I don't know how, I
- 46:20Speaker 1: don't know. I don't think I would to know. I
- 46:21Speaker 1: both me and my brother were surprised for my parents,
- 46:23Speaker 1: and I think, should I choose to have children, that
- 46:25Speaker 1: is definitely the path I would go because that's just
- 46:27Speaker 1: gonna be such a fun day. What about you, dan? Uh?
- 46:31Speaker 1: Do I want to know the gender of the child
- 46:32Speaker 1: before it's born. I don't know if I depend on that,
- 46:36Speaker 1: to be honest with it, because it's there's so many like,
- 46:39Speaker 1: there's so many like, uh, you know, we have all
- 46:41Speaker 1: of these ginger reveal parties and stuff like that, where
- 46:45Speaker 1: I don't want to do that. I mean, I'll say this,
- 46:46Speaker 1: you can miss me with that, but I could certainly, Yeah,
- 46:49Speaker 1: I could. Certainly. I'd be open to the conversation. I
- 46:52Speaker 1: would definitely want to talk to my partner about it,
- 46:53Speaker 1: and I would probably let her lead the way. Okay, Well,
- 46:56Speaker 1: I have a question the gender revealed party thing, because
- 46:58Speaker 1: I've never been to one, and it all sounds horrible
- 47:00Speaker 1: to me. I think that's the dumbest thing I've ever
- 47:01Speaker 1: heard of. It. It's the dumbest thing ever. It's like
- 47:06Speaker 1: everybody else pretty much knows what it's gonna be the
- 47:09Speaker 1: baker who baked the cake or the person who put
- 47:12Speaker 1: the colors in the balloon that you're about to pop,
- 47:15Speaker 1: you know what I mean, knows before you know, and
- 47:17Speaker 1: that kind of feels a little weird, you know what
- 47:19Speaker 1: I mean. If the doctor knows and then asks you
- 47:23Speaker 1: do you want to know? When you choose to find out.
- 47:26Speaker 1: I think that's where it should be, and then it's
- 47:28Speaker 1: up to you too, you know what I mean. But
- 47:29Speaker 1: if if the dude that made a cake that you
- 47:32Speaker 1: never met before, you know what I mean? It wasn't
- 47:35Speaker 1: like one of the biggest mildbou fires ever started by
- 47:38Speaker 1: a gender reveal party. Yeah, yeah, and it's dangerous there
- 47:44Speaker 1: and that's where we go. That's where they really lost me.
- 47:48Speaker 1: Um No, I don't, I don't. I don't want to
- 47:50Speaker 1: do that. Christa very pregnant with will So this was this,
- 47:55Speaker 1: This wasn't a prosthetic. This was actually no. Yeah. Oftentimes
- 47:59Speaker 1: when seeing pregnant people in movies, obviously they've got a
- 48:03Speaker 1: fake belly on. But Christa, here you're seeing an actual
- 48:07Speaker 1: pregnant Christa Miller belly. I have a question, Yes, uh,
- 48:13Speaker 1: did you watch on Hulu? I watched on iTunes. Why
- 48:18Speaker 1: I watched on Hulu and Hulu has commercials. GTS Kombucha
- 48:22Speaker 1: has a commercial running with Scrubs. Yeah, so not only
- 48:28Speaker 1: is GTS sponsoring fake doctors and real friends. Yeah, it's
- 48:34Speaker 1: also being played during episodes of Scrub. That's smart. That
- 48:39Speaker 1: smart think, that's very smart smart. I saw a lot
- 48:42Speaker 1: of people on my social media were, um, we're saying like, Okay,
- 48:46Speaker 1: I'm finally gonna try this because Zack and Donald talking
- 48:49Speaker 1: about nonstuff and theyre and they were loving it. They
- 48:50Speaker 1: were asking me what my favorite flavors were and they were,
- 48:53Speaker 1: you know, chatting about it. Well, it's it really Did
- 48:57Speaker 1: you get your did you get your palette? Did you
- 48:59Speaker 1: I got my? I got my latest shipment. I feel
- 49:01Speaker 1: bad when we talked about our shipments in front of
- 49:03Speaker 1: Joel and Danald, but we got video games? Now did
- 49:09Speaker 1: you get video games? Yea? Who said you do games? Showel? Wait?
- 49:14Speaker 1: Who got up? I haven't responded back up in is that?
- 49:16Speaker 1: Do you do? You think that's safe for me to say.
- 49:18Speaker 1: It was this person from Zee maybe not their name
- 49:21Speaker 1: but the company is probably Okay, an incredibly kind of
- 49:24Speaker 1: person from Ubi soft hit both they said they said,
- 49:29Speaker 1: do you guys need a need codes or anything. And
- 49:31Speaker 1: I was like, you're I've already bought under hit the well.
- 49:39Speaker 1: Ubisoft sent me some games too. I'm gonna do you
- 49:41Speaker 1: want to know what games I got? Yes, okay, I do, Dumble,
- 49:45Speaker 1: I don't because they ain't send me ship if you
- 49:47Speaker 1: got far Crast six, I'm pissed. I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 49:50Speaker 1: connect you. I'm gonna hug you up Donald later with
- 49:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna be honest with you. You know what I
- 49:55Speaker 1: really want because it's coming out soon, that Star Wars
- 49:59Speaker 1: game where you're Tim and it's and and you can
- 50:04Speaker 1: play it with virtual uh, with the headset. Donald, We
- 50:10Speaker 1: really got to talk about that later because I have
- 50:12Speaker 1: an oculous quest sitting right here and I could not
- 50:14Speaker 1: recommend a single device more. You were talking about you
- 50:17Speaker 1: want some sort of physical exercise video game thing. Yeah,
- 50:20Speaker 1: that's it right there. Can you feel the blast Can
- 50:24Speaker 1: you feel the blasters hit the lightsaber when you block
- 50:28Speaker 1: my friend? Oh god, I'm just saying you can feel
- 50:33Speaker 1: the blaster hit the blaster bolt hit the lightsaber. You
- 50:36Speaker 1: feel you have that you have that vibration reactive feeling
- 50:41Speaker 1: in your hand. It is exactly the experience you're hoping for.
- 50:44Speaker 1: And it's wireless, and it's wireless. I got Watchdogs too,
- 50:55Speaker 1: great game. I got a far Cry five about the
- 51:00Speaker 1: far Crest six. I was about to be like, how
- 51:01Speaker 1: did you get it earlier? This game great, a lot
- 51:05Speaker 1: of fun, very cool, very cool. Just dance Classic I'm
- 51:11Speaker 1: not going to do. Yeah you will, you do, and
- 51:14Speaker 1: trust me you'll love it. It's got all your hit
- 51:16Speaker 1: songs on it too. Oh it actually might. Yeah that's true. Um,
- 51:20Speaker 1: Ghost recon Breakpoint Classic and the Family fun Pack Conquest. Oh,
- 51:28Speaker 1: this is just like Monopoly, Risk Battleship cool family. That's great. Yeah,
- 51:34Speaker 1: that's fun. All right, well, shout shout out Ubi Soft.
- 51:38Speaker 1: It was great to all of the other people on
- 51:41Speaker 1: this podcast. Yeah, we like it. We like it. If
- 51:44Speaker 1: we mentioned your thing and you're gonna be nice and
- 51:46Speaker 1: sended something, you know, bring something to the party for
- 51:49Speaker 1: Daniel and Joel for the love of yahweh, what'd you get? Sorry?
- 51:55Speaker 1: We also got something from Activision which I have to
- 51:58Speaker 1: share with you and Dan. They're offering us like Spiro,
- 52:02Speaker 1: Call of Duty, Crash Bandicoot, which I'm definitely take them
- 52:04Speaker 1: off on Carash Bandicoot is my favorite childhood game. Uh so, yeah,
- 52:07Speaker 1: shout out to the video game people. If you guys
- 52:09Speaker 1: want to say this worst you never know, you never know,
- 52:14Speaker 1: you know what? You know what I mentioned to golf
- 52:16Speaker 1: simulator in one of the podcasts. Nobody reached out to
- 52:20Speaker 1: me from the golf industry. That's why you mentioned your
- 52:23Speaker 1: golf simulator, hoping someone would send you one. No. I
- 52:26Speaker 1: mentioned it because I truly want a golf simulator. Well,
- 52:30Speaker 1: guess what you're getting for ka Hanaka is coming up, Zack.
- 52:35Speaker 1: Don't you freaking start this. I will get you one.
- 52:37Speaker 1: Don't you start to make me believe you. And you're
- 52:40Speaker 1: gonna treat it like the breaking scooter I brought you,
- 52:42Speaker 1: Sasha Gray. Remember how you treated the scooter. I treated
- 52:45Speaker 1: it like the Wait, there was a joke. I'm not
- 52:48Speaker 1: gonna go there anyway. Let's get back to the Episode's
- 52:50Speaker 1: get back to the show. I wanted to say the
- 52:52Speaker 1: next thing, I laughed. Oh, I want to explain that
- 52:54Speaker 1: it's a great Cowboys switch. We've mentioned this a few
- 52:56Speaker 1: times to you guys on the show. When the stunt
- 52:58Speaker 1: man does something and then without cutting the real actor
- 53:01Speaker 1: pops up out of frame as though they did it.
- 53:03Speaker 1: So when j D takes the ladder away and walks
- 53:05Speaker 1: in and then and it looks like the janitor falls
- 53:08Speaker 1: to the ground and then Neil pops up, so that
- 53:10Speaker 1: was a stuntman who did a big fall from the roof.
- 53:13Speaker 1: And then Neil was lying in wait or I guess
- 53:15Speaker 1: he probably had to crawl in because I walked through.
- 53:17Speaker 1: But I thought that was funny, very funny. He's like,
- 53:19Speaker 1: why do you keep doing this to me? But also
- 53:25Speaker 1: knowing that j D there's a ladder that's probably the Jenner,
- 53:27Speaker 1: is why the hell is j D moving the ladder?
- 53:30Speaker 1: Just leave the ladder, dude, you're asking for trouble. I
- 53:33Speaker 1: think everybody in the in the who was watching the
- 53:36Speaker 1: show when he moved the ladder new Okay, j D's
- 53:38Speaker 1: gonna begin in trouble for this one right now. Exactly.
- 53:41Speaker 1: It's like watching Wild Coyote received the package from ACME.
- 53:46Speaker 1: You know it's gonna get if you're wearing a black
- 53:47Speaker 1: movie theater. He the audience would be like, don't you
- 53:50Speaker 1: open that package? I laughed. When I go, sir, can
- 53:55Speaker 1: I call you Towns? And he goes and Dick ventyke
- 53:58Speaker 1: goes no, and then the voice of go, I go,
- 54:01Speaker 1: I was having a great time working with towns. Um,
- 54:07Speaker 1: I beard Fasse is the fucking patient? Makes no sense? Yeah,
- 54:12Speaker 1: the didn't pay attention to that, Oh dude, and I
- 54:15Speaker 1: I thought I noticed it, and then I'm on Scrubs
- 54:19Speaker 1: Wicky that you mention it. So, m beard Fosse, the
- 54:22Speaker 1: famous background doctor. Um, I guess someone didn't show up
- 54:27Speaker 1: today to be a sick patient in bed and beard
- 54:30Speaker 1: Fosse got the job. Amazing. He's the one that I
- 54:34Speaker 1: cut open his carrond artery and the blood spurt that's
- 54:38Speaker 1: beard Fosse's blood. Oh, I love that we call him
- 54:41Speaker 1: beard Fosse. When it's a beard face. He says, it's
- 54:45Speaker 1: beard Fosse. Damn it. No, but we called him beard Face. Yeah,
- 54:50Speaker 1: Dr beard Face, Dr beard Face. Now do you think
- 54:53Speaker 1: in the world of Scrubs the show that Dr beard
- 54:56Speaker 1: Face just got sick? Or is it just meant to
- 54:59Speaker 1: be like a different guy. Let's just say he got sick.
- 55:01Speaker 1: That's a good that's a good question to ask Bill Lawrence.
- 55:04Speaker 1: But Bill doesn't want to be asked those anymore, right,
- 55:06Speaker 1: He says, well, but he's not calling in enough. I
- 55:09Speaker 1: don't know how we're gonna you know, everything Bill said
- 55:11Speaker 1: was so nice on paper, but I don't know how
- 55:13Speaker 1: it's going to get executed coordinated with him. I have
- 55:17Speaker 1: to reach out and advance, let him know what shows
- 55:19Speaker 1: we're recording. He has to come up with the question,
- 55:22Speaker 1: that question so we can launch it to you. I'm
- 55:24Speaker 1: gonna try, damn it. I'm good. We're gonna make it well.
- 55:27Speaker 1: The good news is well. The good news is with Bill,
- 55:29Speaker 1: he really likes you, and I think if you use
- 55:31Speaker 1: your charms on him and or and or make sure
- 55:35Speaker 1: you're see seeing his assistant, you might be able to
- 55:38Speaker 1: get it done. But it it's gonna be you're gonna
- 55:40Speaker 1: have to put a little effort into it because I don't.
- 55:41Speaker 1: He's definitely not gonna go, oh, I'm gonna go take
- 55:44Speaker 1: care of that. I'll work on it. I'll work on it.
- 55:48Speaker 1: Me and his assistant are like this where you're really
- 55:49Speaker 1: getting to know each other. The fun. The sweet thing
- 55:53Speaker 1: about it is that Bill was saying he wanted to
- 55:55Speaker 1: be a more active part of it other than just
- 55:57Speaker 1: answering questions and and everybody loves that on the show. Yeah,
- 56:01Speaker 1: you know you guys you're getting something that not a
- 56:04Speaker 1: lot of podcasts can deliver, You know what I mean.
- 56:07Speaker 1: I don't know that they're getting. The creator of Scrubs,
- 56:12Speaker 1: the show that we talk about, he's so invested in
- 56:17Speaker 1: our little podcast. And that's so awesome, man. It's that's
- 56:20Speaker 1: a that's a perk to you know that you get
- 56:24Speaker 1: when you listen to fake doctors and real Friends. Yes, again,
- 56:27Speaker 1: you're selling to the audience who's already listening. But I
- 56:29Speaker 1: love it. Fake doctor's, real friends, um, rowdy um. The
- 56:36Speaker 1: first time he's ever been in the hospital, d L
- 56:39Speaker 1: really decides to bring round to the hospital. I'm not
- 56:41Speaker 1: sure why. Well, he didn't want to leave it and
- 56:43Speaker 1: he couldn't leave it in the cab. That was then
- 56:46Speaker 1: and then d L really picks up a woman at
- 56:49Speaker 1: the first of all, I don't understand this. You guys
- 56:51Speaker 1: get drunk thing at all? Okay, so why do you
- 56:54Speaker 1: get drunk? His wife hat? Then you want then you
- 56:57Speaker 1: want cowboy western music? Yeah, because when you get drunk,
- 57:02Speaker 1: who doesn't want to listen to country music? You ever
- 57:06Speaker 1: heard of Caane Brown? You ever heard of Caane Brown? No,
- 57:09Speaker 1: Caane Brown is fired, dude, and everybody out there who
- 57:12Speaker 1: has who has ever listened to Kane Brown knows he's
- 57:14Speaker 1: fired this dude is he is the new wave if
- 57:19Speaker 1: you ask me of country music. So you put on
- 57:22Speaker 1: country music. I didn't know that about. I listened to
- 57:24Speaker 1: Caane Brown. I listened to old school. Uh uh, what's
- 57:29Speaker 1: the dude married to Faith Hill? What's his name? Garreth? No,
- 57:33Speaker 1: I listened to Garth Brooks sometimes, but Caane Brown, what's
- 57:36Speaker 1: his name? M Tim McGraw. I listened to Tim McGraw.
- 57:43Speaker 1: Know this case he's doing him assuming? Yeah, you know
- 57:46Speaker 1: she's opened me up to wait, you know how you
- 57:49Speaker 1: opened my mind to folk, uh slash singer song singer,
- 57:55Speaker 1: songwriter music. She's opened my mind to like all music.
- 57:59Speaker 1: Casey was like he talked about earlier she was in
- 58:01Speaker 1: the music industry. And so because of that, her catalog
- 58:04Speaker 1: when I listened to when we're in the car and
- 58:07Speaker 1: she's just putting on random songs, her catalog is is, uh,
- 58:11Speaker 1: it's it's big. And so I listened. I've had the
- 58:14Speaker 1: opportunity to hear new music. And when I was away
- 58:20Speaker 1: uh and uh it sounds like I went to jail
- 58:22Speaker 1: or something like that. When I was upstate. No, when
- 58:25Speaker 1: I was doing, uh, the television show in Jersey. I
- 58:31Speaker 1: somehow stumbled onto Kane Brown and he and I mean
- 58:35Speaker 1: his music is to me, it's banging. Okay, got it?
- 58:39Speaker 1: What's your favorite? Um? Do you have a favorite country
- 58:42Speaker 1: artis other than Kin Brown? Is there something? Oh? Actually,
- 58:44Speaker 1: let me ask this. Who's Casey's favorite country artists? Oh
- 58:47Speaker 1: that's a good question. I don't know. Segment called asked Casey.
- 58:53Speaker 1: Yeah here right now? So I can't ask her. She
- 58:56Speaker 1: stepped out? Do you let her out of the house again?
- 59:00Speaker 1: She gets out every now and then. You know what, sunlight.
- 59:04Speaker 1: I let her see some sunlight every now and then.
- 59:07Speaker 1: I think it's good for her skin. I think it's
- 59:09Speaker 1: good for you know, her health, her mental health. So
- 59:13Speaker 1: so tell me about this party. I'm just trying to
- 59:15Speaker 1: understand the party in the bar. You steal it, okay.
- 59:17Speaker 1: So woman is very The woman is very nice. She
- 59:19Speaker 1: doesn't you rip a hat off a woman's head, and
- 59:21Speaker 1: she isn't like, what the funk are you doing? She's
- 59:24Speaker 1: like laughing along with you much. I thought was nice
- 59:26Speaker 1: of her and you. Yeah, the point of the party
- 59:31Speaker 1: is that, you know, Turk literally he is thinking about himself.
- 59:34Speaker 1: The whole time that his brother's there. He even invites
- 59:37Speaker 1: his brother to come visit him to help him close
- 59:41Speaker 1: with carlas so Carla can see. You know, the Turks
- 59:43Speaker 1: were such good husbands, you know what I mean. Not
- 59:46Speaker 1: only are we good husbands, were good family men. So
- 59:48Speaker 1: you don't have anything to worry about. You should marry
- 59:51Speaker 1: me because our life can be like my brother and
- 59:54Speaker 1: his wife. But it turns out his my brother's wife
- 59:58Speaker 1: has left him, and instead of seeing the pain that
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: my brother is in, that Turk's brother is in, turk
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: Uh is thinking only about himself. And so the party
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: at the end is Turk realizing, you know what, I
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: need to put the whole me wanting to wanting Carla
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: to answer my engagement question on hold for a bit,
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: and I need to cater to my brother's feelings because
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: one I love him. Two uh you know if I'm
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: if if if anything, uh, he needs to pick me
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: up right now. And so that's what the whole party
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: thing is about. Granted, it's definitely you know, out of
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: out of place. The things that Turk does are definitely
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: like what then, why why does Carla get so mad
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: when you come home? And because you guys bring home
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: a girl, but that girl was with Carla. The reason
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: why we find out in this episode the reason why
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: Carl is hesitant to marry to say yes to Turk's
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: engagement proposal is because she feels like he's immature and
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: he'll never necessarily grow up, like you know, she got
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: piste on, just it's one of the funnier lines in
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: the show. She got she got a little uh not
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: piste off, but it struck her wrong. When Turk was
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: couldn't stop laughing at the fact that he had to
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: go operate on Mr Weeney. A patient's name was Mr
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: Weeny and Turk ween er, yeah, whatever it is, and
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: Turk thinks it's so right exactly, and turn thinks it's
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: so funny, and she's like, he needs to grow up,
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: he needs to mature, and him bringing a girl home
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: drunk on his brother's shoulders doesn't necessarily say on the
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: way the girls holding rowdy, what's the plan for the girl?
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: Dl Hughey's gonna hook up with the girl at the house?
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: Was that the plan? Well, no, the obviously they bought
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: the girl home thinking, uh, you know, I don't think
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: they thought anything would happen things like that sometimes happen
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: when you're drunk and stuff like that. Somebody needs to
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: carry Rowdy because I gotta carry my brother, so can Oh?
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: I see she? But don't you think that D. L.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: Hughley's character was going to try and hook up with her? Oh? Sure,
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: I'm sure he was eventually. I mean supposed to be
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: like a guy who's going through a divorce, so he's
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: gonna look up with something. Maybe, sure, maybe that was
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: going to happen. But for the most part, she was
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: there to help them bring Rowdy upstairs. She was a
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: friend that they met at the bar, or a girl
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: that they met at the bar. Nothing necessarily is going
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: to happen. But look, my brother is so drunk. I
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: can't carry Rowdy and my brother up the steps. Can
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: you help? Right? We have a caller. Yeah, let's go
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: to the college. We need a commercial first year all
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: or go right to the collar. We'll go right, We'll
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: be right back with a fan listener calling in and
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: we're bad, bad. Let's let the caller and ladies and
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: gentlemen give it up for Richard. Hey, buddy, hi Richards,
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: how are you well? Very well? Look at all of you.
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: Thank you very much. Look at you, you handsome devil.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: Like your I like your accent. You know, we're very
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: popular in the United Kingdom, Donald, Oh you are? Are we? Yeah? Yeah?
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: Oh huge? Is that where you're? Where you are right now? Richard?
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: In the UK? Yeah? I M yeah, I'm just outside
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: of Manchester United. Yes, well played, Donald. Yes, it was
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: the choice of two and you picked the right one.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: But if I would have said Chelsea. If I would
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: have said Chelsea, you would have hated me. Huh a
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: little bit. Yeah, Donald, you don't follow um. When I
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: was doing a kick, When I was doing kick gass too,
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: I learned a little bit about rivalry that goes on
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: in uh football over there. All right, Richard, thanks for
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: coming on the show. Joel, did you say that there
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: was some story about Richard that we need to know? Oh? Yeah,
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: So Richard was going to propose to his partner on
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: the show. It all said, He's gonna go to a
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: park is like sundown. It's been a surprise of you
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: guys and the whole thing. Uh. We we had to
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: push back a little bit, which I was like, cool,
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: I have to actually pop the question, So I'm gonna
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: go do that and I was like, that's totally fine.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: Come tell us about like how magical and romantic it was,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: and we'll also surprise your partners still with the gift
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: of Sack and Donald. Yes, what a gift. She still
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: doesn't know. So she's working exciting, Yeah, she's working currently.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: We both work from home. I have asked that. I've
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: asked already, but I did. I have kind of thought
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: about it since she never actually said yes, interesting, we can't.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: I just kissed, put the ring on and it was okay.
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: Yet if she put the ring on shot on the show,
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: if she put the ring on that, yes, I'm sorry.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: So how are Richard? How are we getting her on
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: the zoom call? Right now? She's just working. I'm going
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: to go and grab her. She doesn't know that she's
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: coming on. I've told her. I've told her to expect
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: a surprise, that she needs to take a break. So
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: I'm going to go and grab her now. I will
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: bring you with me. I don't know. I don't know
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: if I look good. This is an important I need
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: more light on me. This is a big deal. Did
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: you guys see me barely? Dude, you're not you like
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: my mustache? It looks good. And so there's some people
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: that want to say, congratulations, do you hey, gratratulations? Did
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: she hear us? Richard? I think I did good. How
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: can she hear us? She can hear you? Yeah? Can
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: you hear him? No? I just want to be clear
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: you did say yes, right, because Richard wasn't sure. You know,
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: he knew you put the ring on, but he didn't
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: know if you actually said yes. He's been in shock.
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: I think, Donald, do you want to take some time
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: coin and we'll have chat? Okay, do work you're busy. Oh,
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: it's so exciting to see us. I I understand. I'll
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: never get over that reaction. That was an amazing reaction.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: It was like one of those things. She was like,
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: what the heck is it? What the I think? I
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: think it took her a second because of the bid.
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: Donald probably, Oh you think it's it's kind of like
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: we're both wearing disguises. Yeah, we don't look the same anymore.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: I've been working hard on this guy, dude, this is
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: this was all quarantine. Yeah, but I think it's good
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: without your patchy, receding hairline hair. To be honest, you
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: can eat a dick. The thing you do have a
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: question for us. Before you ask Richard the question, I
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: want to clarify. I think that the hair wasn't as
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: glorious as the beard. And never mind, here she is,
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: so is your face, m Richard, Richard? What is your
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: fiance's name? Again? Louise? Louise? Ladies and gentlemen, please give
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: it up for Richard and Louise. Okay, all right, all right,
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: wrong right? How are you guys? Congratulations? How exciting? How
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: did you do it? Richard? How did you what's the
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: romantic way that you did it? And so we traveled
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: on Thursday, about an hour north of where we are currently,
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: up to the coast. We really look either. Weather was perfect,
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: so we got a really nice sunset. We were set
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: up on a cliff top um this private little area,
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: so we had a bit of a picnic. And I
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: knew I was going to be doing it obviously. I
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: thought I was going to be doing it on the
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: show with you guys, um, which actually worked out for
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: the best because it turned out the signal there wasn't great,
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: so it probably wouldn't have worked in anyway. Um. But
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: either way, I knew that I was going to do
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: it at a particular time because of you know, potentially
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: coming on the show. So we were sitting there having
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: a picnic, nice romantic time just the two of us,
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: and then literally about five minutes before I was ready
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: to do it, a load of other people turned up
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: to come and check out the sunset and talking about
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: their normal, you know, whatever problems they were having with
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: their dogs or something that day. And I was just
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: sitting there like, oh, please leave. Were you afraid to
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: do it in front of them? It was at that
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: moment wouldn't be intimate with just the two of you? Yeah,
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: it was because literally we've been sat there and it
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: had just been the two of us for like a
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: good hour and a half two hours, So it was
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: typical that literally as I was about to do it,
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: a load of other people turned up. So you were
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: up I just want to be clear on all of this.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: You were up on the cliff for two hours just
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: hanging out. Yeah, we were having a picnic. Yeah, Now
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: do you do something like this often? Very rarely I
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: have to ask her, I have to ask your fiance.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: Were you a little suspicious at this point? A little bit,
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: because like a week before, it's like brantomly, it's like
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: you don't to book Thursday offul work, don't you? Don't you?
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: And I was like, okay, sure, why not? So a
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: little bit when it when it was like how Romantickett was,
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: and then the part of me was like, if he
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: doesn't do it now, I will remind him of this
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: moment for the rest of our lives. Yeah, because like,
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: what the hell are you doing on a cliff for
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: two hours? Dude? Yeah, exactly. It was. It was a
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: bit of a one off for me. But obviously we've
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: with everything that's going on in the lockdowns, we've kind
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: of just been stuck in the house the last a
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: few months, as is everyone. So I thought, even if yeah,
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: even even if I bottle it and don't go ahead
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: with it, it's still gonna be like a nice date night.
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: We'll get out, um. And literally we had an hour's
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: drive up there, and all the way up the two
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: of us were sitting in the cars singing, we're gonna
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: date now, right, that's in your mind? Which you did?
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: You know she was going to say? Yes? Yeah. I
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: think there was a little bit of nervousness as it
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: got closer to the time. I thought, what if she
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: doesn't like what. I don't know what I'm I haven't
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: considered what I will two if she says no, Um,
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: but no, I think it's been We've been together four
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: and a half years now, so it's been a long
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: time coming. To be honest, it's I probably you should
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: have done it sooner. We were supposed to do it
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: earlier this year. I say we. I was supposed to
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: do it. Um, we were going. We had a holiday
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: booked to go to Amsterdam and one of Louise's friends,
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: who's a photographer, lives over there, so I was going
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: to get her to take the picture and literally a
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: week before we were due to leave, that's when the
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: lockdown kicked in and we couldn't go. I really do
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: like Amsterdam as a place to go propose, because you
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: could get fucked up. And yeah, well I was thinking,
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: it's not when it's not the absence, it's for real,
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: will you marry me? Well, I'm sorry we couldn't be
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: a part of it, but it sounds like it worked
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: out for the best. And um, and we're glad that
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: you're on the show today. Yeah, thank you very much
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: for having us. You guys have a question for him
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: for us anything that we can any trivia you'd like
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: to answered anything about the show at all. Um, I
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: have one, but I'm gonna I'm gonna succeed to my fiance.
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: Oh um and and see she's got on about Oh no, no,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: I'll ask mine. Um. Mine was for for Scrubs, obviously
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: being a comedy show. One of the things and you
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: guys talked about people on the podcast was you did
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: have some really quite heavy storylines. Um. But the thing
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: that I loved most about it was they were never
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: rarely confined to a single episode. They would generally tend
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: to be put over a couple of episodes, and therefore
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: you you'd handle the fall out of it and things
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: like that. So my favorite of that was when Dr
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: Cox lost three patients and then the following episode is
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: all of you going around trying to pick him back
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: up because he's really suffering with it. Um. So mine
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: was really just is there any of those kind of long,
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: longer storylines that went over a couple of episodes where
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: that are even your favorite or you wish you actually
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: could have been involved in if it wasn't your storyline? Well,
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: the Brendan Frasier one, Uh, you know, the problem for me,
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: And it's not it's not it's not a bad thing.
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: It's just the way storytelling goes on television is you know,
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: you have somebody who you follow through the show, and
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: most of the most of the things that most of
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: the things that come to the show happened to that person,
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: and everyone else on the side deals with something else,
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: like a b storyline. So Brendan Frasier being on the
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: show is a J. D. And Cox storyline, not necessarily
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: a Turk storyline. And you know, I've always you know,
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: had I. I always want to work with, you know,
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: big stars or people who are veterans of this industry
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: and stuff like that. And so for me, there are
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: a bunch of episodes where I'm like, damn, I wish
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: I could have been a part of that. When I
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: when watching the show, uh, you know, Zach, we're doing
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: the episode with Dick Van Dyke and d l hugely. Now,
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: I love d L right, I love him tremendously. I
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: would have also liked to have worked with Dick Van
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: Dyke because he's one of my He's one of my
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: favorite people on the planet, you know what I mean.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: So for me, there's a bunch of I could. I
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: could go down the list of storylines where I was like, wow,
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: I wish I could have been a part of that. UM.
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: But one that's real is uh the Brendan Frasier one
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: I had. He was on the show for three episodes,
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: and I think I encountered him and interacted with him
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: in one scene out of all of it. Mhm. I
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: don't know that. I haven't really an answered for that,
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: because I was I usually got to be involved with
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: um longer if it especially if it was an episode
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: that was a theme that was going to continue for
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: a few I feel like is I was involved in it.
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: But but I agree with you. I liked it when
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: they would span. I noticed this episode actually kind of
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: has an abrupt ending. Um, I think it goes Yeah,
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: really must have done another episode because it just kind
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: of abruptly ends. And uh, it's funny because I wonder
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: the syndication if they show them in order or completely
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: out of order. I don't know. You know, Season one
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: of Scrubs was one of those things where you could
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: just turn it on at any time and it doesn't
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: matter where we are. You kind of it's it's it's Scrubs.
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: As we go further on into the series, you noticed
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: that you know, if you missed one episode, you might
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: you could get lost and can. The good thing about
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: it is you can still kind of follow it. I've
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: been watching a lot of BoJack Horsemen, by the way,
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: which is so good. I don't know if you guys
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: have watched bow Jack Horsemen. I'm not. And bizarrely, I've
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: been in I've been in the show as myself a
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: few times. Um. In fact, the spoiler, they actually feast
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: on my on my corps at some point, um but um,
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: and I had seen a few I I said yes
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: to be on the show and wanted to be on
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: the show because I I the few I saw were hilarious.
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: But it's such a now that I'm in quarantine and
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: I'm sort of binging it and it's so incredibly smart.
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: I think if you're if you're a fan of Scrubs,
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: you'll you'll like it because it's so surreal and wacky sometimes,
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: but then also has this really deep social commentary and
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: can get quite dramatic. For an animated show, I don't
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: think I've ever seen an animated show gets so deep.
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: And the theme song is fire. Whenever I'm watching it
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: and the little Netflix thing comes up that's like skip intro.
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: I'm like, how dare you? We will not be skipping
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: this fire intro? Um. Now, we were gonna Donna Lett
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: even bring this up to you, but I thought we
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: could start a new segment. I don't know if Joel
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: warned you guys, Richard, but if there's anything in your
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: life that you need us to fix a problem, are
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: you trying to Are we going to be shrinks? No shrinks? No,
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: I canna shrinks. I'm not good at handyman work either, though. No,
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: it could be anything. Richard could say, Um, we have
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: a drain that won't go down, and we tried everything,
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: what do you guys think? Or he could say, how
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: do we tell my soon to be mother in law
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: that we don't want her to x y Z. The
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: point is is like we're gonna quickly give advice. We're
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: gonna fix your life. Yeah, what kind of problems are
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: you guys having a new segment called fix your Life? Yeah, Richard,
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: it could be small, it could be big. It could
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: be like my door knob keeps falling off of my door.
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: Whatever it is, we're gonna fix it right now. Well,
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: I think and the best thing to ask for that
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: would be obviously we was having just got engaged. Um Donald, obviously, Um,
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: you're married and to your lovely wife, by the way,
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: and you should have seen your wife's face when you
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: said that. She's like, the rings not even dry. And
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: I know you obviously you had to zach it at
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: your house as well wells from a wedding planning points
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: of view, like what would be your best advice for planning? Uh,
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: take your time, and it's you know, that's that's one
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: thing that you have to do. Uh, look for deals
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: because that ship gets expensive as fuck. If you got
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: friends that can hook shit up and let them do it,
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: you know what I mean. It's all right if you
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: don't get me the it's all right you don't get
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: me the freaking coaster. I appreciate anything you can do
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: to make this magical day happen. If you have friends
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: that can support you in that way, you know what
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: I mean. Also, you know, I don't know about you,
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: you know, getting married. I'm fine going into the justice
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: of the peace. My wife was not all right with that.
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: She wanted party, and so I was like yo, however
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: you want to do it, I would say this, it's
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: a fantasy that needs to be lived out, and in
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: order for that to happen, you both have to be
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: honest with what you want. You know what I mean. So, uh,
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: if if if, Richard, you have a certain idea of
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: what you're looking at for a wedding, you need to
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: express it. And Louise, if you have a fantasy that
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: you had for your your wedding, you need to express
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: it and then you guys need to come to a compromise. Unfortunately,
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: this could take a really long time to compromise what
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: it is you want. But at the end of the day,
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: you only get you only get one I mean depends
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: on how well your marriage is. But you really only
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: get one time to get married, you know, first time
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: to get married. That's fine, but you only get one
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: chance to You only get one chance to have a
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: first wedding, and so you get one chance to have
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: a first wedding. That's what it is. Advice from someone
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: who's nic alright, My advice from someone who's never had
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: a wedding but gone to the many is that the
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: music is the most important thing. So if you're gonna
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: get a DJ, Like, make sure that it's the kind
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: of music you like. Don't just trust the DJ to
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: pick the vibe for your wedding party. Pick music that
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: you guys love. You know what I'm saying. He's right
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: about that, because we had a DJ and a band,
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: and the band was cool when we were singing with
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: the band, Like I sang two songs with the band
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: at my wedding and that was the coolest. That was
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: really cool. But then when the band was performing by themselves,
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: nobody was dancing, and then the DJ turned up and
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: then everybody was on the dance floor. So it's really important.
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: As Daniel he knows. Also, don't have a cash bar.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: I went to a wedding with a cash bar. That's
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: a really bad look. That's a bad look. Like if
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: you if you can't afford the bar tab, then invite
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: less people. But don't make me, don't make me go. Yeah, don't. Yeah,
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: I would say I think weddings are better smaller. I mean,
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: as someone who's been to a bunch, I think when
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: weddings are really big, it's you don't really have much
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: personal contact people. I don't I mean, I personally don't
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: like the big like ballroom thing of like everyone in
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: a hotel. I think I think what we did for
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: Donald was, you know, I don't have a big fancy backyard.
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: I have a nice backyard, but it was like it
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: was basically in the backyard and there was a dance
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: floor and it was it was beautifully designed and everything
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: with the way that Casey had it decorated. But I mean,
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: I just think smaller better, UM, put that money that
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: you saved from not having too many people into great,
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: great decorations and great music and great food. Because it
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: has to be the best party of your life, you
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: know what I mean. It has to be as part
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: of the celebration, as part of the segment, and you
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: guys need to answer whether or not we fixed your
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: life successfully. And I really almost there was one answer
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: we prefer, but you obviously have a choice of yes
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: and no. I think so do you think so? I
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: think definitely the one chance to make it what we
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: wanted to do is absolutely what we what we want,
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: um and definitely Zack. From a music point of view,
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: we've actually already started putting together a playlist of what
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: songs we want and do you want to say what
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: our first ance is gonna be Oh that's so sweet
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: that you know something that Richard, Louise, You're welcome. Yeah,
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: thank you very thundersupplause, Dan, to fix their life. We
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: fixed their fixed their life. We successfully fixed their life.
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: You guys will always know that you're the first couple
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: whose life we ever fixed. You're welcome, Thank you, You're welcome.
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: Thank you guys for coming the show. Good luck you,
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: thank you, good luck you guys. Good luck we Yeah,
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: I love you. You love the show as well, and
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: I love you. I heard what you said and I
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: love you too. Yea love congratulations later, guys, thank you,
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: grat thank you. Well you know what you know what, Zach?
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: I feel good about that we fix somebody's life. Yeah.
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: Do you liking this new segment? I love I love
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: this new segment. This is my favorite new segment. You're
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: going to get a special guest star visitor as we
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: wrap up the show. Do you want to meet the team? Yeah? Yeah,
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: what's up? How's it going? That's Joel and Daniel. Hi, Joel,
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: I got my my brother brought me only is that
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: what it's calling? Yeah? And I made some well, I
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: made some I made the dough. Yeah, and I'm going
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: to get the fixings. But I noticed that you put
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: a little oil around him. Yeah. Do you want to
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: shout me out what these oils are? Because they were
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: delicious girls. I mean, all I can say, Donald is,
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: you're just going to put some olive oil and two
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: clothes of garlic in one in another one. You're gonna
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: do olive oil, chili flakes and a little bit of
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: um past it's going down, and then you're going to
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: put the oil on before you put the pizza in
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: the oven. And then you're going to put it on
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: the crust when it comes and you drizzle it. Oh
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: my god, I can't wait. It makes it addictive, Yes
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: it does, Yes, it does. It's good to see you.
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: Do you like our first Florence cameo here on the podcast?
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: I love it. Well, it make the show. Is she
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: gonna is she gonna turn her key? Course it will
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: turn your key, man, We're gonna turn your key. Um.
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: So baby, these are the people that I'm always talking
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: to all the time. It's actually really good to see
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: your faces because obviously it's a podcast, so you don't. Yeah,
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: these are my friends. I know them more than you
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: do me sometimes. Thank you for sharing delicious cooking tips
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: with us. I mean, well, we'll see what I can
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: come up with next time. Donald get some questions we
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: should have Oh my god, we should have a segment
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: cooking corner, a pizza cooking tipsis. Let's do it. Let's
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: do it, all of you out there. Thank you for
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: listening to fake doctor's real friends for Zach Blow, Joel Daniel,
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: I'm Donald Faison, have a great one, Bob six saven
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: eight stories about sure we made about a bunch of
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: docs and nurses and a janitor who loved me. Here,
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: I said, he's the stories natural should know. So yad
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: around you here, are yado around you? Here, I'll discuss
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: for you why shows mm hmm
