- 0:03Speaker 2: Michael.
- 0:04Speaker 1: He's like, yeah, Carli looked like I was like, I'm kidding,
- 0:08Speaker 1: Carly Pearce, Michael Blay, Welcome to downtown Nashville, Holly, y'all
- 0:12Speaker 1: doing thank you.
- 0:12Speaker 3: For having us.
- 0:13Speaker 4: You're so excited to sing for you this morning.
- 0:17Speaker 3: Run Oh my life.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Come on, Carl, I'm putting this on iTunes. I'll share
- 0:30Speaker 2: with y'all. Listen.
- 0:32Speaker 1: I got asked because the opera was last night. Carly
- 0:35Speaker 1: has made that place a second home. That's a first
- 0:37Speaker 1: for you, Michael Blay, and taking over the opera.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Was Queen car for letting me get on the door.
- 0:45Speaker 3: I'm not joking.
- 0:46Speaker 4: That's the best, one of the best moments of my
- 0:49Speaker 4: career ever. I mean, I understand the gravity, and I
- 0:53Speaker 4: understand that there are a few people that live outside
- 0:57Speaker 4: the world of country who have ever been invited in
- 1:00Speaker 4: that circle. And I was, I mean, and you know what,
- 1:04Speaker 4: it's amazing because being in there, I wanted to take
- 1:06Speaker 4: I needed to be in the moment, and I loved
- 1:09Speaker 4: everything in the musicianship and everything. The sound of that
- 1:12Speaker 4: church is just something but it's backstage, man, it's backstage
- 1:17Speaker 4: where like I just listen. They may never invite me back,
- 1:21Speaker 4: but I will just go and find my way back
- 1:23Speaker 4: there because it's funny. I called my wife last night
- 1:27Speaker 4: and she said, so, how was it? And I said, Babe,
- 1:29Speaker 4: those are our.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Kind of people.
- 1:30Speaker 4: That's our people, babe, you know, like really beautiful, warm, empathetic.
- 1:36Speaker 4: You could you know, you just not to push it,
- 1:38Speaker 4: but you feel God is everywhere, you know, and that's
- 1:41Speaker 4: that's what I want from my life. I want to
- 1:43Speaker 4: be surrounded in that and that kind of positivity.
- 1:45Speaker 3: So it was beautiful.
- 1:46Speaker 1: So that circle is special obviously know the you know
- 1:49Speaker 1: the history behind it, but the actual history of like
- 1:51Speaker 1: that's everybody stood there man.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:54Speaker 4: Man, And it's why it's funny because you know, Carly
- 1:56Speaker 4: and I did our single that maybe this Christmas song,
- 1:59Speaker 4: but I hit like bag, I was like, can I
- 2:01Speaker 4: please do? I want to do a Hank song because
- 2:04Speaker 4: I'm a huge Hank fan and I really wanted to
- 2:07Speaker 4: pay tribute because I'm a I'm a massive I have
- 2:10Speaker 4: such reverence for the genre, for the music, for the history, and.
- 2:14Speaker 3: So I said it on stageass night.
- 2:16Speaker 4: I was like, you know, I've never sung this song,
- 2:18Speaker 4: you know on the only place I ever sung was
- 2:20Speaker 4: in the shower.
- 2:21Speaker 3: I thank god that audience didn't have to see that.
- 2:25Speaker 2: The singing part of the shower part.
- 2:29Speaker 4: So it was just something where I felt like, man,
- 2:32Speaker 4: I just felt like I was very I felt very
- 2:35Speaker 4: loved and very welcomed as part of that family, and
- 2:39Speaker 4: it meant a lot.
- 2:41Speaker 1: We our radio station has hosted two shows there and
- 2:45Speaker 1: we've been on Tay and I have been on stage
- 2:47Speaker 1: and introducing whoever's performing next. And I want to step
- 2:50Speaker 1: in that circle because I love the history of it,
- 2:52Speaker 1: and especially I'm a big Elvis guy.
- 2:54Speaker 2: So that's one of the names. And I'm like, but
- 2:56Speaker 2: I couldn't step in it. Tay ran in there, she
- 2:58Speaker 2: was like she liked. She stomped up and down.
- 3:02Speaker 5: You've never stepped in the circle.
- 3:04Speaker 2: I'm nervous.
- 3:04Speaker 3: Do you remember your first first time?
- 3:06Speaker 2: Yes?
- 3:07Speaker 5: I do, May twenty fifth, twenty fifteen.
- 3:10Speaker 6: I'm sorry, May fifteen, like that, Yeah, And I remember
- 3:14Speaker 6: I walked in and I put I like walked and
- 3:17Speaker 6: I put my hands down on it. And I remember
- 3:20Speaker 6: telling my two players that were playing with me, Mike
- 3:22Speaker 6: being one of them. I was like, I actually think
- 3:24Speaker 6: I'm going to throw up, Like I don't know if
- 3:26Speaker 6: I can do this. It was literally my dream to step.
- 3:29Speaker 5: In that circle. But oh yeah, I smacked my hands down.
- 3:31Speaker 3: There's a video.
- 3:31Speaker 4: I actually, you know, it's funny and I felt little.
- 3:34Speaker 4: I didn't want to cringe people out. I did it
- 3:36Speaker 4: in a very quiet way. I don't know if you
- 3:37Speaker 4: know that, but I actually got down and.
- 3:40Speaker 3: Kissed at the stage. Literally I walked out and I like,
- 3:44Speaker 3: I didn't know. I didn't. I didn't. I didn't want
- 3:46Speaker 3: to be weird about it.
- 3:47Speaker 2: And yeah, no that's not weird.
- 3:49Speaker 3: No, no, it's no, I don't know. I went down
- 3:51Speaker 3: and I was like, I need to do this.
- 3:52Speaker 4: This is I need to give her a kiss and
- 3:55Speaker 4: to make sure that I'm here and I'm you know,
- 3:58Speaker 4: it was I mean, I'm pumped.
- 4:00Speaker 3: I was on my family chat.
- 4:01Speaker 4: We have like a group chat where yeah, you know, sheriff,
- 4:04Speaker 4: what was the kid? I was like, there, this is
- 4:06Speaker 4: the coolest night ever. And then when I saw it back,
- 4:09Speaker 4: a friend of mine sent me a video of Carly
- 4:12Speaker 4: and I and the ending of the song, and it
- 4:16Speaker 4: didn't I want.
- 4:17Speaker 3: To cry, like the curtain comes out, what's the beautiful
- 4:20Speaker 3: man who was what's that man's name?
- 4:22Speaker 7: Bill, Bill Cody, Oh my god, And the curtain's coming down,
- 4:26Speaker 7: and it's and it says thank you everybody, thank you
- 4:28Speaker 7: for coming to the opery for one hundredth anniversary and
- 4:31Speaker 7: Michael Bluebla's day.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Like I got goosebumps telling you. And the curtain came down.
- 4:35Speaker 4: And I cut the piece and I sent it to
- 4:36Speaker 4: my manager Bruce, and I was like, man, this is
- 4:40Speaker 4: something like this is one of those career defining moments.
- 4:45Speaker 1: The music that you have made your whole career doesn't
- 4:48Speaker 1: necessarily fall into it's this, it's that, it's this, whatever.
- 4:51Speaker 1: But does the opry experience make you want to dip
- 4:54Speaker 1: your toe into all things country a little more?
- 4:57Speaker 4: I have you know, it's weird, man, And it's not
- 5:00Speaker 4: your fault for not listening to my records more.
- 5:02Speaker 1: I have absolutely but listen I until today. I just
- 5:05Speaker 1: haven't met you yet, So.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Don't do me like that.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Well, here's the weird part.
- 5:10Speaker 4: I paid tribute on almost every single record I make
- 5:14Speaker 4: by doing a country song. I love country music. I
- 5:17Speaker 4: have covered so many country songs. My favorite duet of
- 5:22Speaker 4: all time I begged Willie Nelson to send crazy with me.
- 5:27Speaker 4: You know, for me, there's always a Patsy Klein song,
- 5:29Speaker 4: there's always a Hank song. I've just it's just been
- 5:33Speaker 4: such a big part of the love I have.
- 5:36Speaker 3: I mean, even the favorite artists.
- 5:38Speaker 4: You know, my favorite records, actually standard records was Willie
- 5:43Speaker 4: Nelson Duin Starred Us and a lot of my favorite
- 5:45Speaker 4: music was Ray Charles covering great country songs. And so
- 5:48Speaker 4: what's weird is I always felt organically that the music
- 5:53Speaker 4: the Great American song Book and jazz mixed in the
- 5:56Speaker 4: most beautiful way.
- 5:58Speaker 3: You know. It doesn't even.
- 6:00Speaker 4: Rhythmically, It's not like you're taking a circle and trying
- 6:04Speaker 4: to jam it into a square.
- 6:06Speaker 3: They work together, you know.
- 6:07Speaker 6: And it was also doing a lot of blue grass
- 6:10Speaker 6: backstage with the Isaacs last night, and it was it
- 6:12Speaker 6: was pretty great.
- 6:14Speaker 4: I've been writing with her all morning, which I love
- 6:16Speaker 4: is sending me videos.
- 6:18Speaker 3: We were doing gospel stuff and Patsy Klan song. We
- 6:23Speaker 3: did what did we do last night?
- 6:26Speaker 4: We did ah see the Pyramids.
- 6:29Speaker 3: It's a long boom.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Anyway, how often did Carly Piers rolling her eyes over here?
- 6:36Speaker 6: Well he'll just sing something and I'm just like, how
- 6:40Speaker 6: is it perfect every single time, and then he's like
- 6:43Speaker 6: so funny.
- 6:44Speaker 5: But then he'll like sing and it's.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Like, oh my god, you guys, you're here to talk
- 6:48Speaker 1: about a song you did together. Before I get to that,
- 6:50Speaker 1: I want I want to ask does the opry experience
- 6:53Speaker 1: like that? Because you've you've executed at a high level
- 6:57Speaker 1: for such a long time, does an experience like that
- 6:59Speaker 1: motive vat you creatively in a way that maybe you haven't.
- 7:03Speaker 4: Been Oh completely, I mean I've been, Like I said
- 7:07Speaker 4: the Isaacs, I want to go and make We need
- 7:09Speaker 4: to make music, and I mean we need to go
- 7:12Speaker 4: and record without a doubt. And it doesn't have to
- 7:15Speaker 4: be fancy. We need to sit in a room without machines.
- 7:18Speaker 4: We need to just you know, sit there and sing
- 7:21Speaker 4: and play. Because that was that that's what moves people.
- 7:26Speaker 4: I think more and more we're realizing in music that
- 7:30Speaker 4: people are looking to feel something and and authenticity is
- 7:34Speaker 4: just so huge and people might not even be able
- 7:37Speaker 4: to articulate why they feel it, but they do. And
- 7:41Speaker 4: last night sing singing with them, it was like, oh yeah,
- 7:43Speaker 4: this is a no brainer.
- 7:44Speaker 3: This has to happen.
- 7:45Speaker 6: And mind you, Sonia, who to me is one of
- 7:48Speaker 6: the greatest female vocalists of all time texted me in
- 7:52Speaker 6: the morning and said, do you think I can meet Michael?
- 7:55Speaker 6: He's literally my dream due at partner And then now
- 7:58Speaker 6: she's texting with like her music here.
- 8:02Speaker 3: You know, it's weird. I was thinking about country too.
- 8:05Speaker 4: I write, I don't know why, but I write in
- 8:07Speaker 4: a way that's very country. When I write, it's just
- 8:10Speaker 4: even this song, the Christmas song was like me on
- 8:13Speaker 4: the guitar and me kind of you know, embodying Willie
- 8:16Speaker 4: and Uh. One of the first big hits I had.
- 8:19Speaker 4: I'd written Home and right away Blake Shelton took it
- 8:23Speaker 4: and he had I think it was his first number
- 8:24Speaker 4: one hit, And for me that was like I realized.
- 8:28Speaker 4: I was like, oh, that's kind of what. Even the song,
- 8:29Speaker 4: everything that I wrote. I don't know if you know
- 8:31Speaker 4: that song you're.
- 8:32Speaker 3: But it's very country. It's kind of I have that
- 8:36Speaker 3: kind of that love and passion for I think it
- 8:38Speaker 3: just seeps through what I do.
- 8:40Speaker 1: I was reading a little bit of the backstory. Obviously,
- 8:42Speaker 1: you guys came together. Carly was an advisor for your team.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Two musical talents like y'all are bound to connect on something.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Why why a Christmas song? What made a Christmas song work?
- 8:54Speaker 3: You want to kind of tell him quickly.
- 8:58Speaker 6: So I was called to be Michael's advisor, which of
- 9:01Speaker 6: course I'm such a fan of him as an artist.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Could you please it's live please?
- 9:05Speaker 2: And she was like, hm, He's like, you know how
- 9:08Speaker 2: many people I've called?
- 9:09Speaker 5: Yeah, He's like, you're my fifteenth.
- 9:14Speaker 6: And then he like literally called me for the first
- 9:18Speaker 6: time as we're chatting about like you know, hey, can't
- 9:20Speaker 6: wait to meet you whatever, and he was like, Hey,
- 9:22Speaker 6: I'm working on this.
- 9:25Speaker 5: Song. I really want you to be a part of it.
- 9:27Speaker 6: I'm doing something really special with Apple and the new
- 9:30Speaker 6: iPhone and this new feature where we're going to be
- 9:32Speaker 6: able to record on our iPhones in a new and
- 9:34Speaker 6: innovative way. And I was like, okay, awesome, I'm in.
- 9:39Speaker 6: And then over the next couple of months, he would
- 9:42Speaker 6: just send me these little as he was like working
- 9:45Speaker 6: on the song, and then before I knew it, here
- 9:47Speaker 6: i am flying to Vancouver. We're singing and I'm going
- 9:51Speaker 6: to let him speak just because this is so amazing
- 9:53Speaker 6: as an artist to advocate for other artists and other
- 9:56Speaker 6: creatives in the way that he has I mean he's
- 9:58Speaker 6: changing history. Just get to go along on the ride
- 10:01Speaker 6: and laugh all day, but I mean what he's done
- 10:04Speaker 6: for young creatives who may not be able to afford
- 10:07Speaker 6: being in a studio or may not have the just
- 10:10Speaker 6: abilities they're going to be able to record. I mean,
- 10:12Speaker 6: we recorded this song our vocals on an iPhone. There
- 10:16Speaker 6: is people all day have been like, but really did you?
- 10:18Speaker 6: And it's like, no, seriously, literally on an iPhone.
- 10:22Speaker 3: I didn't do anything.
- 10:23Speaker 4: By the way, There's a guy named John Dancy who
- 10:26Speaker 4: works with mister Tim Cook and Apple.
- 10:28Speaker 3: And is a genius and as a team of geniuses.
- 10:30Speaker 4: And I was hanging with him and I didn't even
- 10:32Speaker 4: know really what he did, and he was like, how'd
- 10:35Speaker 4: you write your music? And I said, oh, I use
- 10:36Speaker 4: my voice memo on my phone. And I was like,
- 10:40Speaker 4: how come it sucks when I don't use a headphone
- 10:42Speaker 4: and it.
- 10:43Speaker 3: Sounds like I come out of the shower. And I said, like,
- 10:45Speaker 3: you guys are geniuses. Can't you fix that? And that's
- 10:48Speaker 3: what I literally said.
- 10:49Speaker 4: And then he called me like a year later and
- 10:52Speaker 4: he went, hey, remember when you were saying that stuff.
- 10:54Speaker 4: He said, I went back and my team did it
- 10:57Speaker 4: and he goes, we now we have studio call you
- 11:00Speaker 4: and the new the sixteen. And he goes and we
- 11:02Speaker 4: have two tracks. And I was like, oh my god.
- 11:05Speaker 4: For me as a writer, that's like really, you mean
- 11:08Speaker 4: I can like plunk something down and sing to a
- 11:11Speaker 4: demo and not have to go to a studio. And
- 11:13Speaker 4: and I was cynical, but then I was. So this
- 11:16Speaker 4: song was written quickly. It was all done quickly, flew Carly.
- 11:19Speaker 4: The producer's name was Greg Wallas. He had just finished
- 11:22Speaker 4: doing producing the Wicked movie, the music for Wicked. They
- 11:27Speaker 4: flew to Vancouver. She was amazing. Literally literally in a
- 11:31Speaker 4: day's notice. Was it literally less than a day's notice.
- 11:35Speaker 4: It was like the red Eye of Vancouver. Greg came,
- 11:38Speaker 4: she put that stuck the iPhone in the in the stand.
- 11:42Speaker 3: I got one in my stand.
- 11:43Speaker 4: Greg took the iPhone and stuck it into the piano,
- 11:46Speaker 4: got to the piano.
- 11:48Speaker 3: And it was like it worked, like it works, and
- 11:53Speaker 3: I just.
- 11:54Speaker 4: You know again going back to that authenticity, going back
- 11:57Speaker 4: to organic stuff.
- 11:59Speaker 3: You just it just works, man. And there's it's like
- 12:02Speaker 3: you can work in this business.
- 12:03Speaker 4: And you know, because you see every day people come
- 12:05Speaker 4: in here selling you their wares and they could work
- 12:08Speaker 4: the hardest on it with the greatest technology people in
- 12:11Speaker 4: the world, the best writers, and dude, sometimes it doesn't
- 12:15Speaker 4: hit and you can't expect how come it didn't hit?
- 12:18Speaker 3: I just that was the biggest songwriter and the biggest movie.
- 12:20Speaker 4: In the And then sometimes something like this happens, where
- 12:24Speaker 4: it just kind of happens and our friendship is organic
- 12:27Speaker 4: and it works and there's no reason.
- 12:30Speaker 3: It just you can't even explain. It just happens.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Just moves people when it comes to being organic, whether
- 12:34Speaker 1: you write a song, and this is a question I
- 12:37Speaker 1: repeat often because the answers are wild. When you are
- 12:43Speaker 1: approached with a song or maybe you're a part of
- 12:45Speaker 1: a write. Has there been a song that you just
- 12:47Speaker 1: didn't feel because it wasn't authentic to you that ended
- 12:49Speaker 1: up going to somebody else and like now has been massive?
- 12:53Speaker 3: No, because I write, and I've written all the how
- 12:55Speaker 3: about you?
- 12:56Speaker 6: I have a flip of that, yeap, So I didn't
- 12:59Speaker 6: write the Wine and Little Big Town cut it first,
- 13:03Speaker 6: but then didn't feel like it was right for them.
- 13:05Speaker 5: But then it became a hit for me.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Massive.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like one of my defining You still get
- 13:09Speaker 1: bottles of wine as a gift because I'm thank you
- 13:12Speaker 1: so much.
- 13:13Speaker 3: I had and I have.
- 13:13Speaker 4: The opposite is because going back to home, Like, I
- 13:17Speaker 4: was very proud of myself because I was like, this
- 13:18Speaker 4: is a good song, and I knew it was a
- 13:20Speaker 4: good song.
- 13:20Speaker 3: I was in shower writing it. You didn't ower a
- 13:23Speaker 3: lot I do. I do all my best No, I
- 13:25Speaker 3: do all my best work in the shower.
- 13:27Speaker 2: I really do way different, dude.
- 13:29Speaker 4: And but then Blake, Blake had it and it was
- 13:32Speaker 4: like this massive hit. And then like for years after,
- 13:35Speaker 4: I would be doing it somewhere and people come up
- 13:38Speaker 4: to me. They'd say, I just really loved your version
- 13:40Speaker 4: of Blake Shelton's Home, and I'd don't.
- 13:42Speaker 3: Damn it, that's my song.
- 13:47Speaker 4: Never I've never missed a song. I mean I've had
- 13:50Speaker 4: songs by the way that I thought would be huge.
- 13:52Speaker 4: Like I wrote a song called I Got It Easy,
- 13:55Speaker 4: and it's still one of my favorite songs that I've
- 13:57Speaker 4: ever written. I was like, oh, this is gonna kill
- 13:59Speaker 4: this for sure. It is so deep and rich and authentic.
- 14:04Speaker 4: No one has ever heard of it.
- 14:07Speaker 2: It's one of my tops. Honest.
- 14:11Speaker 1: This song is called Maybe This Christmas is it tough.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Christmas music is some of the most iconic music. Like
- 14:17Speaker 1: it's people have their favorites, their classics, and they kind
- 14:19Speaker 1: of just stick with that. Knowing y'all have created fantastic
- 14:23Speaker 1: music outside of a holiday.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Is it intimidating to do a Christmas song? You're like,
- 14:27Speaker 2: we're just gonna have fun and if people dig it,
- 14:29Speaker 2: they dig it.
- 14:31Speaker 6: I mean, I felt like I was in really good
- 14:32Speaker 6: company as far as getting to mix like something that
- 14:37Speaker 6: I feel like when you hear him sing, there's something
- 14:39Speaker 6: so classic about it and timeless. Yet like I feel
- 14:46Speaker 6: like I've heard this song for years and I don't
- 14:48Speaker 6: know how to explain that to you, Like I feel
- 14:50Speaker 6: like sweet Spot to me is like if you're going
- 14:53Speaker 6: to create something that's going to be played for years
- 14:57Speaker 6: to come, it's very rare that it feels. But because
- 15:00Speaker 6: I do feel like this song is speaking to a
- 15:02Speaker 6: group of people that maybe feel like Christmas music is
- 15:07Speaker 6: only for people who feel joyful, and this song is
- 15:10Speaker 6: about people who maybe feel sadness. But it just sounds
- 15:15Speaker 6: perfectly new, yet I feel like I've heard it for years.
- 15:18Speaker 4: I get asked a couple of times a month by
- 15:22Speaker 4: the biggest artists on our planet Earth, no joke, and
- 15:26Speaker 4: they'll call and go like, we should do Christmas thing,
- 15:29Speaker 4: and and I think they want to. I'm not a
- 15:32Speaker 4: kidding man like this, and I think the thought is that, man,
- 15:40Speaker 4: it's easy, like you just do it and it'll sell
- 15:42Speaker 4: and you'll make a ton of dough and everybody wants in,
- 15:44Speaker 4: like every like who wouldn't want to have an iconic
- 15:47Speaker 4: Christmas moment and every year in perpetuity, it's evergreen, and
- 15:53Speaker 4: and it doesn't work for them.
- 15:54Speaker 3: It doesn't work ever like ever.
- 15:56Speaker 4: And the reason it works for me is because I
- 16:00Speaker 4: am the hugest nerd in the universe.
- 16:03Speaker 3: And I genuinely love Christmas.
- 16:07Speaker 4: I love it. I love the feeling of it. I
- 16:09Speaker 4: loved it before I got four kids now and I
- 16:12Speaker 4: see the wonderment in their eyes, and I want to
- 16:15Speaker 4: recreate what my mom and dad recreated for me, made
- 16:18Speaker 4: for me from their parents.
- 16:19Speaker 3: And so it is so earnest and.
- 16:22Speaker 4: It goes right back to what we've been talking about
- 16:24Speaker 4: this whole time, which is is authenticity. It's like people,
- 16:29Speaker 4: they may not know how to say it, it's hard
- 16:33Speaker 4: to articulate.
- 16:34Speaker 3: But they feel it.
- 16:35Speaker 4: Man, you can't trick them, and so you know, like
- 16:38Speaker 4: people that dig it, it's you can feel it, and
- 16:40Speaker 4: it's something that's like Kelly Clarkson is somebody who's had
- 16:43Speaker 4: a lot of success with pristance.
- 16:44Speaker 2: You know what.
- 16:45Speaker 4: That woman, you know that she loves it, like you
- 16:48Speaker 4: know what I mean, that's a joyful, beautiful.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Soul and when she does.
- 16:53Speaker 4: It, you not just that she has the voice of
- 16:55Speaker 4: an angel, you know, but she's.
- 16:56Speaker 5: It's real even in our format.
- 16:58Speaker 6: Brett Aldridge, it's like he's had some much success it's
- 17:01Speaker 6: because he loves it.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean at this point he's almost like, forget
- 17:05Speaker 1: the other music on the Christmas truly what So let
- 17:09Speaker 1: me ask what are Christmas is all about? Positivity and happiness?
- 17:14Speaker 1: What are Christmas songs that you're like that you may
- 17:16Speaker 1: skip on your playlist.
- 17:17Speaker 6: I'm not like a Rootolph the Red Nose Reindeer, Frosty
- 17:21Speaker 6: the Snowman. I know, but I don't have kids and
- 17:24Speaker 6: my dogs can't talk.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Obviously you don't know your dancers comedy listen, but she did.
- 17:31Speaker 3: Recall her least favorite reindeer of all Michael.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Michael, what about the same question for you?
- 17:39Speaker 1: Are there are there songs that you're like, Okay, I've
- 17:42Speaker 1: heard enough of this one. Not in a negative way, but.
- 17:45Speaker 4: Like songs like there's songs like that I feel are underplayed,
- 17:48Speaker 4: Like why how can we never hear?
- 17:51Speaker 3: All I want for Christmas is you?
- 17:54Speaker 2: That's what?
- 17:55Speaker 3: How does that one go? That's you know what?
- 18:06Speaker 2: It wasn't on my bingo car for this morning. But
- 18:08Speaker 2: it's fine, man.
- 18:11Speaker 3: You know what's funny.
- 18:12Speaker 4: I'm I don't hear enough, no joke, I don't hear
- 18:16Speaker 4: the hymns enough, you know, like and people are so
- 18:19Speaker 4: afraid that you're not allowed to say Merry Christmas, and
- 18:22Speaker 4: because it doesn't politically correct to love you know what's weird.
- 18:25Speaker 3: People have no.
- 18:25Speaker 4: Problem ever using the Lord's name in vain and nobody
- 18:29Speaker 4: even blinks, but you say I love my Jesus and
- 18:32Speaker 4: people go like huh. And it's like, I'm miss hearing
- 18:35Speaker 4: beautiful hymns man, that are spreading the good word absolute
- 18:39Speaker 4: and I don't hear it enough. And there's there's room
- 18:42Speaker 4: for everything, and I'm loving the you know, the fun
- 18:45Speaker 4: you know, commercial Christmas songs. But give me a little
- 18:48Speaker 4: bit of Oh Holy night, you know, give me a
- 18:50Speaker 4: little bit of Silent night or or you know the
- 18:54Speaker 4: drummer boy, Like, those are the ones I like, that's
- 18:56Speaker 4: what That's what inspired me to love Christmas music is
- 19:00Speaker 4: growing up with my faith and like loving that we
- 19:02Speaker 4: got to share our love of our faith.
- 19:04Speaker 3: Like that cool.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Funny enough as you bring up those song titles, those
- 19:07Speaker 1: were mixed in with the Santa Babies of the World
- 19:11Speaker 1: when I was younger, Like you would hear those songs
- 19:14Speaker 1: just as much as Burl Lives and all those.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Yeah, not the case anymore though.
- 19:18Speaker 3: Not the case so much.
- 19:20Speaker 4: And I'm you know, I love and when they were
- 19:22Speaker 4: like listens for me, Bing Crosby was a big part
- 19:24Speaker 4: of our life growing up and that was playing all
- 19:25Speaker 4: the time.
- 19:26Speaker 3: I love that. I just think it's really beautiful.
- 19:28Speaker 4: And by the way, it was a big part of
- 19:31Speaker 4: the inspire you know, inspiring me. When I wrote this song,
- 19:34Speaker 4: it was like I wanted to write a hymn, you know,
- 19:36Speaker 4: a really beautiful hymn that brought some hope, brought some.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Light when it comes to what happens past this.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Have you guys had enough fun where you're like, hey,
- 19:45Speaker 1: let's do a non Christmas song together?
- 19:47Speaker 3: Oh yeah, absolutely, yeah.
- 19:49Speaker 6: I'm like sad that Christmas is almost here because I
- 19:52Speaker 6: won't see him all the time.
- 19:53Speaker 5: I've been seeing him so much. So yeah, we have
- 19:54Speaker 5: to we have to sing something that's her.
- 19:58Speaker 4: No joke it listen, You're gonna see you mean, because
- 20:01Speaker 4: well again, they're probably whether I'm invited.
- 20:03Speaker 3: Back or not.
- 20:04Speaker 4: I will be disguising my way in and finding my
- 20:06Speaker 4: way into the opry.
- 20:08Speaker 3: I'll be coming a handsome hey are you That's all.
- 20:11Speaker 3: I'm George and I'm here too. I'm coming back.

- 20:19Speaker 1: I just go as lejanitor because nobody.
- 20:21Speaker 2: Questions a guy with the mop, you know what I mean.
- 20:23Speaker 2: It's like somebody Carly throw up backstage again She's it's true,
- 20:31Speaker 2: so that.
- 20:31Speaker 3: You know we need to work together for sure. This
- 20:33Speaker 3: girl's voice is it's just stupid. It's so beautiful.
- 20:37Speaker 4: I have written her so many messages or called her
- 20:39Speaker 4: after me and my wife sitting in bed listening to
- 20:41Speaker 4: this song and going like like god, this.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Is so she's so good. She's so good. By the way,
- 20:48Speaker 3: last night we were good.
- 20:51Speaker 4: I don't know if we're allowed to say that, but like,
- 20:53Speaker 4: I saw so much stuff like sent to me on
- 20:56Speaker 4: socials and stuff of our performance?
- 20:59Speaker 3: What why are we so good? I really, why are
- 21:03Speaker 3: we so good? And so beauty and humble?
- 21:07Speaker 1: That's what I love about you is that we didn't
- 21:08Speaker 1: have to turn your head sideways a gainst you on
- 21:10Speaker 1: the door.
- 21:10Speaker 2: It was great.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Yeah, uh, you said, go back to the Opery experience.
- 21:17Speaker 1: You said you had called your wife as soon as
- 21:19Speaker 1: it was over, and you saw the clips or whatever.
- 21:22Speaker 1: It's party like, they have to be here next time
- 21:25Speaker 1: because you can't explain, you can't.
- 21:26Speaker 4: I was crushed, I said, I said, Actually, weirdly, I

- 21:55Speaker 4: giving me so much hell right now on the phone.
- 21:58Speaker 4: And and yeah, he just wrote me to say that
- 22:04Speaker 4: he's upset about many things.
- 22:06Speaker 3: That's just that.
- 22:08Speaker 2: You've opened the door.
- 22:09Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a tough Kansas City Chiefs game for him.

- 22:20Speaker 3: to to be there last night.

- 26:11Speaker 6: hanging out with my parents and just taking a little break,
- 26:14Speaker 6: like you know, not clipping the hair in, not putting
- 26:17Speaker 6: all the clothes on, just like chilling.
- 26:20Speaker 2: That's I try to avoid the you know what.
- 26:21Speaker 5: I mean, clip it in the hair is tough.

- 27:50Speaker 1: water or one had tequila and the other two had
- 27:52Speaker 1: water and then people watched the video and had to guess.
