- 0:00Speaker 1: Japan has just sent shockwaves to the crypto industry. Will
- 0:03Speaker 1: break it down today because there is a lot to
- 0:05Speaker 1: unwrap here in how it affects the United States and
- 0:09Speaker 1: the overall global crypto market. Let's just go into it.
- 0:12Speaker 1: I want to thank our sponsor and that is Tangum.
- 0:14Speaker 1: You're going to thank me on this one after you
- 0:16Speaker 1: see today's video, because self custody is going to become
- 0:21Speaker 1: a thing. Grant my word. We are going to see it,
- 0:24Speaker 1: and you guys could start right here. Just go over
- 0:26Speaker 1: and get your own self custody wallet. This is very
- 0:29Speaker 1: secure and probably I would say, the best one out
- 0:32Speaker 1: there to use.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Very easy to set up, full ownership on you.
- 0:36Speaker 1: You put your digital assets from all your exchanges into
- 0:39Speaker 1: one card. You have multiple card options here for security.
- 0:42Speaker 1: You can buy multiple card sets, so you've got multiple
- 0:45Speaker 1: wallets in different places. All sorts of ways to do this.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Seedless by design, very easy to get going. Join of
- 0:53Speaker 1: course the tangentm hoard out there because a lot of
- 0:56Speaker 1: people are using this one today. Use the link down below.
- 0:59Speaker 1: You'll get some discs counts. All right, let's go over
- 1:01Speaker 1: to one thing right here. I want to hit on
- 1:02Speaker 1: one last point Clarity is in the countdown phase. We
- 1:07Speaker 1: are twenty two days away pretty much a no fly
- 1:09Speaker 1: zone before midterms, which means that we will have a
- 1:13Speaker 1: split House and Senate to try to get this through
- 1:16Speaker 1: after if that does even occur. So the challenge is
- 1:19Speaker 1: on right now with that Japan is seeing this as
- 1:23Speaker 1: a weakness and they have leaped forward. This was a
- 1:26Speaker 1: conference that was just held this week. I want to
- 1:29Speaker 1: show you something here on the attendees of this conference.
- 1:33Speaker 1: First of all, a lot of different countries are residing
- 1:36Speaker 1: there in the Pacific RIM, but there you have it.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Today.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Taikaachi, who is the Prime Minister of Japan, and pretty
- 1:42Speaker 1: much every finance minister in Japan was at this event,
- 1:47Speaker 1: including Tom Lee, Hayden Adams. That's UNISWAP and ethereum. All
- 1:52Speaker 1: for a very very important reason, and that is major
- 1:55Speaker 1: moves and announcements in Japan that are happening. The Japanese
- 1:59Speaker 1: Price Minister came in and pledged to strengthen the support
- 2:03Speaker 1: for Web three startups. Basically, guys, what they're doing is
- 2:06Speaker 1: outflanking Clarity. This support and development of their Web three
- 2:11Speaker 1: innovation is going.
- 2:12Speaker 2: To leap forward.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Japan could become the number one destination for crypto companies.
- 2:18Speaker 1: You watch, there's a lot happening here. They built more
- 2:21Speaker 1: crypto reregulatory infrastructure in the past three years than G
- 2:24Speaker 1: seven has done in a decade. And capital gains rate,
- 2:28Speaker 1: remember that they were talking about doing that much longer
- 2:31Speaker 1: into the future. No, that's on the deck now, going
- 2:34Speaker 1: from a crypto capital gains rate of fifty five percent
- 2:38Speaker 1: down to twenty percent.
- 2:40Speaker 2: All of this coming.
- 2:41Speaker 1: In at Taika Aichi's request, and I think this moves them.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Way ahead of most of the US.
- 2:50Speaker 1: And other allies out there they're trying to put together
- 2:52Speaker 1: because remember MIKA has been doing this but very restrictive
- 2:56Speaker 1: in terms of how they do it. Remember all what
- 2:58Speaker 1: was it, over three thousand from crypto projects were delisted
- 3:02Speaker 1: in the EU because of what was happening in MIKA.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Japan is getting into a.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Position where they may take pole position. Their upper House
- 3:11Speaker 1: Committity has approved a legislation to reclassify Bitcoin and other
- 3:14Speaker 1: ETFs that are all happening, and they basically rubber stamped
- 3:18Speaker 1: all of this. This was the House Administration going through
- 3:21Speaker 1: at the proposal with slash crypto taxes. All of that
- 3:24Speaker 1: went through all at the same time that this is
- 3:27Speaker 1: going on, and some of those reasons are these announcements
- 3:30Speaker 1: that they made at this recent event.
- 3:33Speaker 2: One of the big announcements was this one right here.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Of course, this is SBI partnering with Salona. You guys
- 3:39Speaker 1: will recognize this name. SBI also partnered with Ripple, and
- 3:43Speaker 1: I wonder what they're getting ready to do with Ripple.
- 3:45Speaker 1: That could be some interesting things because there is a
- 3:48Speaker 1: slew of issues that are facing a change, almost a
- 3:52Speaker 1: tsunami wave in Japan. They're also launching with that the
- 3:56Speaker 1: Japan High Dividend Equity Strategy token, so this will be
- 3:59Speaker 1: one that you'll be able to invest in earn interest on.
- 4:03Speaker 1: So imagine, Well, first of all, I understand that right
- 4:06Speaker 1: now we've got these kinds of entities, the JP Morgan
- 4:10Speaker 1: level entities here in the US that are basically fighting
- 4:13Speaker 1: us from tooth and nail for banning yields. Here you've
- 4:17Speaker 1: got the Japanese supporting it, both from the government level,
- 4:20Speaker 1: from the architectural level, and also from the infrastructure side
- 4:24Speaker 1: of things. This is a huge hit right now. Japan's
- 4:29Speaker 1: largest SDO program now is live on AVAX. Another major announcement,
- 4:33Speaker 1: you go over and look at just some of the
- 4:35Speaker 1: net inflows. You've seen Avalanche and Salana explode because of
- 4:39Speaker 1: what's going on, and you've got this launch of jpysc,
- 4:44Speaker 1: which essentially is their stable coin. The initial offering will
- 4:47Speaker 1: provide an annualized yield of approximately three percent on a
- 4:50Speaker 1: twelve week term, around one to three percent.
- 4:52Speaker 2: For regular periods.
- 4:54Speaker 1: This is basically a government stable coin that everybody in
- 4:58Speaker 1: the japan will be able to get access to. Think
- 5:01Speaker 1: about if something like USDC became that type of government
- 5:06Speaker 1: backed stable coin that went out to every bank and
- 5:09Speaker 1: you immediately started earning interest on. That's the kind of
- 5:11Speaker 1: impact that this has. So now that they've got a
- 5:15Speaker 1: stable coin underway, they need distribution. One of the key
- 5:18Speaker 1: ways that you do that is through app launches, and
- 5:21Speaker 1: this was the startael app. We've had these guys on before.
- 5:24Speaker 1: You guys probably remember Sonium and the discussion we've had
- 5:28Speaker 1: with them, but that's a good example. This is the
- 5:30Speaker 1: core of where this is heading in terms of creating
- 5:34Speaker 1: real time payment infrastructure that is going to be on
- 5:37Speaker 1: the blockchain and it's going to be tied into the
- 5:40Speaker 1: banking infrastructure and every Japanese citizen.
- 5:43Speaker 2: So that is huge Sue.
- 5:45Speaker 1: We also announced their deal which is pretty much feeless
- 5:49Speaker 1: stable coins and you can kind of see suite of course,
- 5:52Speaker 1: and you'll be able to use this with pretty much
- 5:54Speaker 1: everything in Japan, buying anything and everything. Think of this
- 5:57Speaker 1: as a super app almost like Apple Pay, I guess in.
- 6:00Speaker 2: A way, but on the blockchain feeless.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Imagine that for the merchants, the kind of savings that
- 6:06Speaker 1: they're going to be getting. This was the other announcement
- 6:08Speaker 1: right here. This is Circle partner with JCB. This is
- 6:11Speaker 1: the kind of the credit card side of what's going
- 6:14Speaker 1: on in the Japanese commerce area, and this is now
- 6:18Speaker 1: partnered with their merchants. The breakdown on this is pretty interesting,
- 6:22Speaker 1: cross border payments, new payment experiences merchants and customers. So
- 6:27Speaker 1: merchants starting to do this and this is payments at
- 6:30Speaker 1: physical stores in Japan. This is the holy grill. It's
- 6:33Speaker 1: what we've been talking about on this channel for a
- 6:34Speaker 1: long time. We've kind of pointed to Japan as a
- 6:37Speaker 1: center or a potential mecha of where this is going.
- 6:40Speaker 1: And it's for one reason. They are moving the regulation
- 6:44Speaker 1: at light speed now to get ahead of the US,
- 6:48Speaker 1: and they are doing it in a big way because
- 6:51Speaker 1: Japanese traders are now doubling down on dollar bets, meaning
- 6:56Speaker 1: this is the most that we have seen shortening the
- 6:58Speaker 1: US dollar in the history. This goes all the way
- 7:01Speaker 1: back to prior to twenty ten. Guys, we're talking over
- 7:04Speaker 1: fifteen years of shorting US Treasury dollars and this is
- 7:09Speaker 1: happening now. Maybe they know something. I think this is
- 7:12Speaker 1: clear of what we're about to see. One of the
- 7:15Speaker 1: things that you have to kind of consider with everything
- 7:17Speaker 1: that's happened in Japan, one of the biggest trojan horses
- 7:21Speaker 1: is the Japanese IP and you look at the most
- 7:24Speaker 1: popular thing within crypto right now is what's happening within
- 7:28Speaker 1: the Pokemon collection. For RWA's This is the kind of
- 7:31Speaker 1: thing that could explode right there, Jupiter. You can borrow
- 7:34Speaker 1: USDC against sealed Pokemon packs on chain guys on chain,
- 7:39Speaker 1: then go out take a loan against it, and then
- 7:42Speaker 1: go out and recycle that again. So think about that
- 7:45Speaker 1: for a second of what this might mean for RWA.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Collectors all of that. Here's the interesting part.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Robinhood right now won't let you add any RWAs in
- 7:55Speaker 1: other words, Pokemon cards to your asset and liabilities, but eventually,
- 7:58Speaker 1: I wonder if they will. If you look at the
- 8:01Speaker 1: app within Japan, they're going to allow you to do this,
- 8:05Speaker 1: but I think there will be well we know they're
- 8:08Speaker 1: going to be restrictions, clear restrictions. If you just look
- 8:11Speaker 1: at what's happening right now with Sony. Remember Sony biggest
- 8:14Speaker 1: bank partnerships out there. Sony is betting now that physical
- 8:19Speaker 1: games are going to be the opportunity here. They're getting
- 8:22Speaker 1: ready to nix Blu Ray and of course this means.
- 8:25Speaker 2: That you're going to own nothing, guys.
- 8:28Speaker 1: This is all going to be controlled, and that I
- 8:31Speaker 1: think is what I'm most concerned about. And if you
- 8:35Speaker 1: think about that, look at Sonium's situation right now. Sonium's
- 8:38Speaker 1: blockchain now freezes meme coins out. My question is is
- 8:42Speaker 1: will there be enough pushback if they're going to control
- 8:45Speaker 1: to this level?
- 8:46Speaker 2: And if there is, what will Japan do. One issue though,
- 8:49Speaker 2: that we need to address is.
- 8:51Speaker 1: What's going on right now, and that of course, is
- 8:54Speaker 1: that Android is getting locked down in the EU. This
- 8:57Speaker 1: is a big deal because it starts to put more
- 9:00Speaker 1: more pressure when I say lockdown, meaning more spying, guys,
- 9:03Speaker 1: more spying on top of what you're doing on any
- 9:05Speaker 1: of your devices. I want to go to a clip
- 9:07Speaker 1: real quick because this will explain the kind of threat
- 9:12Speaker 1: that we're facing right now.
- 9:13Speaker 3: Take a look, I have an iPhone that I've paid for,
- 9:17Speaker 3: but Apple are now restricting what I can do on
- 9:21Speaker 3: this phone. UK law requires you to confirm you are
- 9:25Speaker 3: an adult to change content restrictions by continuing. Your idea
- 9:29Speaker 3: or credit card maybe used to confirm that you are
- 9:32Speaker 3: an adult, and they say it's the UK law. Despite
- 9:35Speaker 3: what the update suggests, the system is not required by
- 9:38Speaker 3: UK law.
- 9:39Speaker 1: So as you can see, the privacy issue is not
- 9:42Speaker 1: being just put out there from a government restriction side
- 9:46Speaker 1: of things. Now it's literally at the level of corporations
- 9:49Speaker 1: on what they're going to be able to see and
- 9:51Speaker 1: track you on. And I think this is pulling down
- 9:55Speaker 1: the privacy advocates into an issue right now. We're starting
- 9:58Speaker 1: to see some trends breaking out and one of them
- 10:01Speaker 1: is Graphios. If you don't understand what Graphios is, going
- 10:04Speaker 1: to a little research. Essentially, it is a replacement for
- 10:07Speaker 1: both Android and iOS.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Think about any phone that.
- 10:10Speaker 1: You have out there today that's probably what you're running
- 10:13Speaker 1: is either iOS or Android. This gives you a complete
- 10:17Speaker 1: open source device, capable platform to run that is completely private.
- 10:24Speaker 1: That I think is why we're seeing this explosion. Cape
- 10:27Speaker 1: Mobile is one of the companies that's been out there
- 10:29Speaker 1: talking about this for a while.
- 10:31Speaker 2: They of course allow it.
- 10:32Speaker 1: And these are the devices that are actually available on Graphios.
- 10:36Speaker 1: That's right, pixel nine, pixel eight seven, So it's not
- 10:39Speaker 1: like these aren't the most advanced products. Point is is
- 10:42Speaker 1: that we may see a new evolution that is trending
- 10:45Speaker 1: towards something that you and I love dearly, and that
- 10:49Speaker 1: is ethereum. And I'll talk about that in a second.
- 10:51Speaker 1: But the interest right now this is home assistance, and
- 10:55Speaker 1: it's a company that's out there building one that is
- 10:58Speaker 1: and we'll talk about what this means. But the issue
- 11:01Speaker 1: is privacy. And let me show you this right here.
- 11:04Speaker 1: This is what we're talking about, Home Assistant Green. So
- 11:06Speaker 1: right now, you have an Alexa, or you have an
- 11:08Speaker 1: Apple device, or you have one of these smart devices
- 11:11Speaker 1: in your home and you're talking to it. All of
- 11:13Speaker 1: that data right now is going into the cloud. This
- 11:16Speaker 1: device right here is storing it locally, so it's eliminating
- 11:21Speaker 1: all of those kind of scenarios of privacy breaches from
- 11:23Speaker 1: your own home.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Which is the other problem.
- 11:25Speaker 1: I think we may see a privacy wave starting to
- 11:28Speaker 1: crack through because we're starting to see companies come up
- 11:31Speaker 1: with some pretty significant models. Molorola of course had to
- 11:34Speaker 1: go in and actually announce a partnership with Graphene because
- 11:38Speaker 1: of the demand. So this might be interesting for Motorola,
- 11:42Speaker 1: maybe becoming a relevant, you know, handset maker. Again another
- 11:47Speaker 1: tweet right here, Graphinos will remain usable by anyone around
- 11:50Speaker 1: the world, and they put out a warning ride here
- 11:53Speaker 1: if it can't be sold in a region due to
- 11:55Speaker 1: their regulations.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Okay, no problem. And that's what they're talking about in
- 11:59Speaker 2: terms of what's happening in the EU.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Hyundai and Kia they come in and partner with Graphene,
- 12:05Speaker 1: saying that's okay, we'll take over here where Volkswagen was saying, no,
- 12:10Speaker 1: we won't put this in because of these regulations. So
- 12:12Speaker 1: Metallic even kind of hit it right here. They are
- 12:15Speaker 1: trying to push chat control through again. And what they're
- 12:18Speaker 1: talking about this was in the EU.
- 12:21Speaker 2: This is a sixth.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Time they tried to force chat control, which lets them
- 12:25Speaker 1: scan all your private messages.
- 12:27Speaker 2: The Eight Institute.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Says they're following the topic and we'll meet with some
- 12:30Speaker 1: MPs next week to address this, So that could be
- 12:34Speaker 1: pretty big of moving to the Ethereum blockchain for communication.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Some interesting points right here. So if you think that
- 12:41Speaker 1: this cannot happen here in the US, well that's not
- 12:44Speaker 1: necessarily the point. Right Here's a good example Telegram, which
- 12:48Speaker 1: I think many of you guys will use and are
- 12:50Speaker 1: using US sanctions now are able to control the top
- 12:54Speaker 1: level domain. That starts to put a lot of pressure
- 12:57Speaker 1: on Telegram. And this is only the beginning, guys. As
- 13:01Speaker 1: they start to understand how digital the population is and
- 13:05Speaker 1: the overreach they can force into our lives, I think
- 13:08Speaker 1: we're going to see a lot more privacy starting to
- 13:10Speaker 1: address it. Open AI jumping into it. They're building a
- 13:14Speaker 1: device for your home. Would you trust this in your home?
- 13:18Speaker 1: Let me know in the comments, yes, open AI or
- 13:21Speaker 1: no Open AI. I'm kind of curious what you guys
- 13:24Speaker 1: would say, because I think this device is going to
- 13:27Speaker 1: be a big deal. Back to that home assistant that
- 13:29Speaker 1: I was talking about. We talked about a home assistant
- 13:32Speaker 1: green earlier. This is a new foundation, Open Home Foundation,
- 13:36Speaker 1: which essentially gets you the ability to plug in any
- 13:39Speaker 1: AI that is local, and if you look at it
- 13:42Speaker 1: further on really their design, this is what you want
- 13:45Speaker 1: right here, local processing, full local processing, full local processing
- 13:50Speaker 1: for both home assistant, cloud and also voice and using AI.
- 13:55Speaker 1: So everything's pretty much at that point secured with you.
- 13:59Speaker 1: I think we will see a massive move on this.
- 14:02Speaker 1: And here is the kicker. Remember decades ago there was
- 14:07Speaker 1: a project out there called Linux, and Linux never really
- 14:11Speaker 1: got the light of day, and now we're starting to
- 14:13Speaker 1: see these advancements. Now Lenox is of course launching on Ethereum,
- 14:17Speaker 1: and that I think, my friend, is going to be
- 14:20Speaker 1: a point where we start to see true privacy and it's.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Going to end up on the blockchains.
- 14:25Speaker 1: So when you think about all of this, guys, essentially
- 14:28Speaker 1: what you've got happening in Japan is they are dictating
- 14:32Speaker 1: to the US, MICA as well on what we can
- 14:35Speaker 1: and cannot do. And I think that's the point going forward,
- 14:39Speaker 1: is if we don't get our flag. Really I think
- 14:42Speaker 1: into this industry, and I'm talking about blockchain and the
- 14:45Speaker 1: future of crypto, we are essentially at the will of
- 14:49Speaker 1: every other country out there that is advancing on this
- 14:52Speaker 1: and doing it in ways where they control the privacy
- 14:56Speaker 1: and not us.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Very interesting times
