- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's fuck ya Friday!
- 0:01[SPEAKER_00]: Fuck ya!
- 0:08[SPEAKER_00]: Get ready for some wins!
- 0:28[SPEAKER_00]: and it's the antidote to fear.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_00]: Each week my guess will bring bold, executable, intrinsic, and targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and be it until you see it.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_00]: It's a practice, not a perfect, let's get started.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_01]: I ain't be a babe, how are you?
- 0:49[SPEAKER_01]: Happy fucking Friday, you made it, it's here.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_01]: We're here, we're, oh my god, literally looking at the end of the second month of the year, and it's just like, you know, can you go faster?
- 0:58[SPEAKER_01]: Is it going too fast?
- 1:00[SPEAKER_01]: It depends on who you are and what you're doing.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_01]: So, this is the episode we share with viewers.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: I want to mind, Alamantra, and something inspired this inspired the fuck out of me.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_01]: So, during the 2010 Zen Kai International Marathon in China, Kenyan Render Jacqueline knit get-to-pie, Kip Limo, was in the lead when she noticed it disabled, athlete trying to hide right after a few stops along the route.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_01]: She fell back, ran next to him, and helped him, falling behind herself, and eventually finished in second place.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_01]: So,
- 1:28[SPEAKER_01]: First of all, she's so fucking fast that she could slow down so much to help this person, but also she cares so much about people that she did this.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_01]: And it makes me think of like the my Angela quote, like people will forget what you say or do, but they'll never forget how you made them feel.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_01]: And
- 1:46[SPEAKER_01]: would we even know who she is, would I personally be bringing her up to you if she won that race?
- 1:51[SPEAKER_01]: Probably not.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's been 15, 16 years, probably not.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_01]: But the fact that she did something with so much humanity in it is why we're talking about her because I think in a world of chaos we need to remember that there are humans in it who are doing amazing things even if it means like getting in second place because of it.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_01]: And I think there's something really beautiful about that.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_01]: So we'd go check
- 2:12[SPEAKER_01]: So I hope that inspires you.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it means you're two minutes late to a meeting because you stopped and helped someone across the street.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_01]: Like there's different things that you can do.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_01]: We can all do it right.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's easy to be in a rush when I lived in Los Angeles.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_01]: I remember kind of being in my own world in a rush and I was in downtown.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_01]: And this guy he had one of those like a
- 2:34[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, someone stopped him and that was what brought my attention.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_01]: It was going on.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_01]: And then as he's walking, he wasn't in the crosswalk.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_01]: So I was just like, hi, sir, can I walk next to you?
- 2:43[SPEAKER_01]: Can you come?
- 2:44[SPEAKER_01]: Can you hear me?
- 2:44[SPEAKER_01]: Come with me?
- 2:45[SPEAKER_01]: And like, it really was, I don't sure this would get points.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_01]: It was an interesting thing for me to, like, oh, I am now going to, I don't even know who this person is.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_01]: You know, there's like, there could be a different, but I can't have this person walking in the street, you know, and how can we just like kindly guide them?
- 3:03[SPEAKER_01]: And then I was like, we got to the corner.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_01]: I said, okay, which direction you were trying to go?
- 3:06[SPEAKER_01]: And I can make sure he was pointing the right direction.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have to, you know, like it doesn't have to take hours.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_01]: It could take a few seconds of your day.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_01]: And you know what?
- 3:15[SPEAKER_01]: It might even mean more to you.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_01]: Did to them.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_01]: They might make you feel good.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_01]: And if you need to feel good, that you know what?
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's okay.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's like that friends episode.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_01]: Like,
- 3:23[SPEAKER_01]: You know, there's no selfless deeds, and that's okay.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it's a problem.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_01]: I think that the more of us who are, you know, doing things to help others just make the world a better place, that's all.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_01]: All right, so a win of yours is comes from Christine Eshen, one of our elevator grads and agency members.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_01]: And I really think this one is beautiful.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_01]: FYF Friday, I haven't been in here for a while, but I'm popping in with some recent wins.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_01]: I just hung up with a discovery video call with a woman who sent a request for my website.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_01]: That's amazing.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_01]: Talk to her about her needs and she brought a beginner's package in a schedule for next week.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_01]: She wants to come to you three times a week.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yay!
- 4:01[SPEAKER_01]: Had a wonderful customer appreciation party last weekend and I'm grateful for the dedicated students I do have.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_01]: I raised my rates and so far nobody has complained.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yay!
- 4:09[SPEAKER_01]: And I have been getting in some weekly practice of my elevator partner and friend Heather and looking forward to the upcoming elevator retreat in Las Vegas with LLL.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_01]: I can't freaking wait for our retreat.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's just so excited.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_01]: I'm the way to do that.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_01]: And I just want to say like so many wins in here, Christine.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: Like getting a lead from your website is because you did the work a while back
- 4:28[SPEAKER_01]: It's not easy to put words out there.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_01]: Figure out is it's the right way I want to say this and then hit published on it because you could noodle on it forever, right?
- 4:35[SPEAKER_01]: And you did that.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_01]: And then there's another one.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_01]: You raised your rates because it's time.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_01]: You know, like you aren't a charity and doesn't mean you can't be charitable, but it doesn't put it your business as a business and it needs to support you and your family.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, so you're honoring you and your family and that's a win.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_01]: And the fact that no one said anything is because what you do add so much value to their life, of course, they're going to pay that, right?
- 4:57[SPEAKER_01]: So congratulations on that.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_01]: You're so amazing.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for sharing this.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_01]: I'll see you very soon.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_01]: A win of mine.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_01]: So, I am not someone who is very good at making phone calls.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_01]: Pretty terrible at it.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_01]: In fact, my all my friends are great because they understand that we can schedule the call and then I will do the call.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_01]: But like, I'm not really good at like picking with the phone and calling.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's weird to me.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know, maybe that's weird.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_01]: Personally, I think maybe it's like, I don't, I just don't like the phone.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: But it came to my
- 5:33[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we'd, I definitely do, but this is self-tikinosed and also like, five different people that I've talked to who are like medical experts in other areas who are like classic case, but I thought I would just like, you know, okay, great.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I have.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_01]: And I'll just move on my life because it's like it's just easier.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_01]: But I decided to make a phone call to, in fact, one, my insurance company, to see if I can go this place and the second two schedule and appointment, not just yet official diagnosis, but to get support tools for this thing.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_01]: And that I have actually come to the appointment yet, but I've made the calls and that's the win.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_01]: I want to share with you.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_01]: It can be that simple.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_01]: Like, making those calls or doing different things outside of your normal routine can be really a lot of work can be really hard.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_01]: And we have to celebrate that we did that.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_01]: We have to stop putting wins on our self that I have to be this huge thing.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_01]: I can't celebrate that I did that thing until I do X, Y, and Z.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_01]: That's bullshit.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_01]: That is not how you beat to you see it, but it's not how you practice self love and it's not how you prevent burnout, not how good habits are made.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_01]: You actually have to celebrate the little things you do in life and that is it all adds up to be and tell you see it.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_01]: So a little mantra for you.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_01]: Here we go, I'm a valuable human mean.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_01]: I am a valuable human mean.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a valuable human mean.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, you fucking are.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_01]: So go beat to you see it.
