- 0:00Speaker 1: What I'll be watching, boy, Kevin st we are here
- 0:03Speaker 1: the Bob Brothers review or starting a new thing. If
- 0:08Speaker 1: a movie's out and popping, we're gonna talk about it.
- 0:12Speaker 1: How popping doesn't need to be Do you want to
- 0:13Speaker 1: just try and find something that released new and talk
- 0:16Speaker 1: about every week or you're just like, here's.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Here's what I've noticed doing movie reviews all this time.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Okay, tell me what you notice.
- 0:24Speaker 2: For me, the bigger, the bigger movies do better and
- 0:29Speaker 2: the blacker movies do better. Okay, So it's like a
- 0:32Speaker 2: small film that doesn't have like a strong black presence,
- 0:36Speaker 2: my numbers on that review might just be mid to low.
- 0:39Speaker 2: But if it's a movie that, like like say, for instance,
- 0:43Speaker 2: Centers did crazy on my page in the movie review section,
- 0:47Speaker 2: then you know, if I do it that went crazy.
- 0:49Speaker 2: So if it's a super popular movie, those are gonna
- 0:52Speaker 2: do well because a lot of different people are gonna
- 0:54Speaker 2: come to it. If it's a hype movie, they're gonna
- 0:57Speaker 2: because they just gonna show up on the on the
- 0:59Speaker 2: stript of the movie. But no matter who who Spider
- 1:03Speaker 2: Man review?
- 1:03Speaker 1: For sure, who's this guy?
- 1:05Speaker 2: I don't care?
- 1:05Speaker 1: So let me ask you that I look for stuff
- 1:07Speaker 1: me too.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Review. I don't care who's sitting there with the toys
- 1:09Speaker 2: in the background. Let's see what they got to say
- 1:12Speaker 2: about right.
- 1:13Speaker 1: So on the off weeks, so it's fifty two weeks
- 1:16Speaker 1: a year, you're not gonna have fifty two weeks release
- 1:18Speaker 1: every week. No, it might be twenty five thirty.
- 1:20Speaker 2: It might be trashed this.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Weekend, and it probably is. I was looking at Clearing
- 1:23Speaker 1: the Way Spider Man. Yeah, they probably give you two
- 1:26Speaker 1: three weeks a runway.
- 1:27Speaker 2: The movie studio would be like, let's get the hell
- 1:29Speaker 2: out of the way.
- 1:30Speaker 1: So let me ask you this off weeks, do you
- 1:32Speaker 1: want to talk movie news? We could have, for for instance,
- 1:36Speaker 1: ja'afar if if we didn't have Spider Man this week,
- 1:39Speaker 1: you got you got my Hearschelan's comments on Blade, You
- 1:43Speaker 1: got that trailer, your mother, your mother, your mother, we
- 1:45Speaker 1: can talk about that. You got Will Smith and Jafar Jackson.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Got a new movie coming out. Do you think that'll
- 1:51Speaker 1: do better than just some offhand movie or something old.
- 1:56Speaker 2: I feel like I feel like we can blend it too.
- 1:59Speaker 2: If a movie comes out that we both want to see, Okay,
- 2:02Speaker 2: it might be smaller.
- 2:02Speaker 1: We can just blend the too. Okay, what about this,
- 2:05Speaker 1: I'm with that. I like that idea. Movies on streaming Netflix, Hulu,
- 2:11Speaker 1: Amazon streaming movies do well too.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Okay, if it's a, if it's a any time, I'm
- 2:16Speaker 2: gona go in on the Tyler Perry movie. Yeah, the
- 2:18Speaker 2: numbers do well.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Okay, So what about like Stung Sting Chloy Bailey's new
- 2:24Speaker 1: movie on Peacock. I haven't seen it.
- 2:25Speaker 2: I haven't seen it.
- 2:26Speaker 1: We could do things like that, all right, people in
- 2:29Speaker 1: the chat, y'all gonna be watching Patreon and the like.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Y'all can also just suggest stuff because obviously Spider Man's
- 2:35Speaker 1: easy money ot to see. All right, cool stun all right,
- 2:39Speaker 1: let's talk strong. Oh yes, Also, the Bald Brothers review
- 2:45Speaker 1: is heavy spoilers. This is a spoiler field review. I'm
- 2:48Speaker 1: glad somebody asked that this is spoilers. Were talking about everything.
- 2:53Speaker 1: If you haven't a movie Spider Man, get the hell up,
- 2:55Speaker 1: hell up out of here, no disrespect, we understand. I'm
- 2:58Speaker 1: glad you asked because I want to remind you, so
- 3:00Speaker 1: you know we're talking about the film in its entirety. Yeah,
- 3:03Speaker 1: we're spoiling it. It's big spoiled, big spoils. It's easier
- 3:07Speaker 1: to cover.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Spoilers and plunders man spoilers and gotta deal with respect.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Respector dipp Just come back when you seeing it?
- 3:14Speaker 2: Yeah, come back and chime in a lot of people leaving.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I get it, you get it. You've been wanting
- 3:20Speaker 1: because I barely got a chance to see it. I
- 3:22Speaker 1: had to see it last night. How to give me
- 3:23Speaker 1: a little cup of coffee?
- 3:24Speaker 2: Yeah, you fraid you were sleeping?
- 3:25Speaker 1: I was sleeping because that travel man Atlanta to la
- 3:28Speaker 1: is tough. All right, let's dig in. How shall we
- 3:30Speaker 1: approach the movie box office nerd time.
- 3:33Speaker 2: I'm coming in hide with the box office nerd good
- 3:36Speaker 2: nerd stuff. So Spider Man Brand New Day. I've been
- 3:40Speaker 2: seeing conflicting budgets here. I saw one poster said there
- 3:43Speaker 2: was two seventy five, But the more consistent total I've
- 3:45Speaker 2: seen is two twenty five. That's the budget for the film.
- 3:50Speaker 2: This movie. Over the weekend, it's set a record for
- 3:54Speaker 2: the highest opening weekend domestically of all time at three
- 3:58Speaker 2: sixty It beat in Game. In Game had three fifty
- 4:02Speaker 2: seven point one. Spider Man Brand New Day beat it
- 4:05Speaker 2: by a few million. Three hundred and sixty million opening weekend. Now,
- 4:09Speaker 2: a lot of people gonna nitpick with the in game
- 4:11Speaker 2: came as years ago, adjust one inflation. We're not doing
- 4:14Speaker 2: that every time.
- 4:15Speaker 1: We're not doing that. We'll be digging, We'll go with
- 4:18Speaker 1: the win. We're not doing that every time.
- 4:19Speaker 2: If you want to, if you want an adjusted list,
- 4:21Speaker 2: I can give you a separate adjusted list, which is
- 4:24Speaker 2: a list I'm gonna do coming up about what movies
- 4:27Speaker 2: sold the most tickets of all time.
- 4:29Speaker 1: And that's how you know what it is. I know
- 4:31Speaker 1: who pulled up the most.
- 4:32Speaker 2: So Spider Man gross over nine hundred million dollars opening
- 4:38Speaker 2: weekend worldwide, good nine six now today, on today, spider
- 4:46Speaker 2: Man brand new day is already one point zero five
- 4:51Speaker 2: two billion dollars is the box office and it's only
- 4:53Speaker 2: been out six days.
- 4:55Speaker 1: A billion dollars before a counter week happened.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Yes, already a billion dollar grossing movie.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Like Tom That's like, come on, man, what are we
- 5:07Speaker 1: talking about? Already a billion dollars by Tuesday? Wow? What
- 5:15Speaker 1: do you think it is about Spider Man? Because I
- 5:18Speaker 1: knew it would do well, I did not expect it
- 5:21Speaker 1: to be the highest grossing domestic box office because history.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Man, like I know, I avoided all the trailers, I
- 5:27Speaker 2: avoided all visuals of Spider Man. The only thing I
- 5:30Speaker 2: saw was like billboard posters.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Was just like, I didn't see nothing but the black
- 5:34Speaker 1: eyes and his face beat up. I was.
- 5:36Speaker 2: I didn't even see the black eyes until later. I
- 5:38Speaker 2: just saw him with the hand, the hand ninjas. I
- 5:40Speaker 2: just saw that.
- 5:41Speaker 1: I didn't see that man.
- 5:42Speaker 2: But because I wanted to come in just completely fresh
- 5:47Speaker 2: in the buzz seemed low, That's what I did. I
- 5:53Speaker 2: was talking about the Odyssey, Odyssey's Odyssey, and it was
- 5:55Speaker 2: like I knew. I knew Tom Hollands and David were
- 5:58Speaker 2: doing the press run Forider Man, so I would see
- 6:01Speaker 2: him her and uh uh yeah, so I would see
- 6:05Speaker 2: them doing that, you know, but I see that all
- 6:07Speaker 2: the time, and so I was just like, all right,
- 6:08Speaker 2: it's gonna do well. And they were given the tracking numbers,
- 6:10Speaker 2: but the tracking kept increasing as I saw that.
- 6:14Speaker 1: I saw that, and then the reviews came out.
- 6:17Speaker 2: I was like, Spider Man is always except for maybe
- 6:20Speaker 2: like two Spider Man.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Entries, Yes, spider Man three, Toby and Spider Man two
- 6:25Speaker 1: Andrew Garfield. Yes, that was the only ones that are
- 6:27Speaker 1: like low on rock rest, I think are ninety yeah
- 6:31Speaker 1: and above, and.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Even his lowest is like fifty something percent.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Spider Man two. Amazing. Spider Man two is the lowest.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:38Speaker 2: So he always does pretty much ninety and above. So
- 6:44Speaker 2: the Spider Man films are well regarded, and so Spider
- 6:48Speaker 2: Man as a character, he is just eternal as far
- 6:52Speaker 2: as every kid loves.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Spider Man, every kid, every kid loves spider Man.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Every kid. Because Batman might be too dark for some
- 7:01Speaker 2: and Superman might just be too unattainable or just whatever,
- 7:04Speaker 2: spider Man feels like the closest we have to a
- 7:09Speaker 2: superhero being a real person.
- 7:11Speaker 1: I agree, he's he's he comes across as real, relatable,
- 7:17Speaker 1: and they always match the steaks to Spider Man in
- 7:21Speaker 1: the grand scheme of things. She even said it, you know,
- 7:23Speaker 1: it's small potatoes. He's your friendly neighborhood.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Spider manhood spider Man for a reason. Man, Like, everything
- 7:31Speaker 2: don't have to be on the universal scale.
- 7:33Speaker 1: It's just right.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Hey man, I'm just in New York City. He's Robber
- 7:38Speaker 2: go to Staten Island that much. I'm usually I'm usually
- 7:41Speaker 2: in Queen's Brooklyn and Manhattan, y'all be.
- 7:46Speaker 1: One step above traffic infractions. Yes, Like I have to
- 7:50Speaker 1: pull you over. Man, this is crazy, that's it.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Mann.
- 7:52Speaker 1: You parking?
- 7:54Speaker 2: What are you doing? Robbing the Hey you robbed a
- 7:58Speaker 2: little food on the machine that goes on his own.
- 8:03Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying.
- 8:04Speaker 2: You rob one of the way more cars?
- 8:06Speaker 1: Hey, hey, twip swip.
- 8:12Speaker 2: And so he's just super relatable for a lot of people.
- 8:14Speaker 2: And like you know, he's just universals you grew up with.
- 8:16Speaker 1: We all grew up with him.
- 8:18Speaker 2: I was Spider Man four halloweens in the row as
- 8:20Speaker 2: a kid, same costume. Like I was like running back mom, I.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Was Spider Man four time. Remember first you hung it
- 8:29Speaker 1: back up? Man?
- 8:30Speaker 2: It was it would be like I would just rebuy it.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Oh you bought one.
- 8:36Speaker 2: I'm like I wanna be Spider Man. Yeah, yep, I'm.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Always was coming out at this time. You was doing
- 8:43Speaker 1: off the strengths.
- 8:43Speaker 2: All on TV like they have a little sheep.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Seven seventies, early eighties. He twip he on the walls
- 8:55Speaker 1: like yo.
- 8:55Speaker 2: He he actually crawling on the building. This is crazy,
- 8:58Speaker 2: look like heye had God goes. I was like, man,
- 9:01Speaker 2: this is amazing and they just linger on them scenes. Yeah,
- 9:05Speaker 2: like and then so you know, Spider Man has always
- 9:09Speaker 2: been there. You know, X Man is always my favorite,
- 9:11Speaker 2: but I always always enjoyed a good Spider Man.
- 9:13Speaker 1: I don't Spider Man doesn't have haters. Yeah, and I
- 9:18Speaker 1: think Tom Holland has because he's done so much as
- 9:23Speaker 1: Spider Man. He is Spider Man like he's done. That
- 9:28Speaker 1: was his fourth solo movie. And how many Marvel movies
- 9:31Speaker 1: has been in He.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Was in he was in the Civil War, he was
- 9:35Speaker 2: an End Game, and he was an Infinity War.
- 9:37Speaker 1: So that's seven times we've seen him as Spider Man. Yeah,
- 9:41Speaker 1: and he was in them Marvel movies. He was you know,
- 9:43Speaker 1: he wasn't in a little bit like so I feel
- 9:46Speaker 1: like nobody had that, well you yeah, no, no, nobody had.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Sobey has four, Toby, so he had three solo in
- 9:53Speaker 1: the one where he was in with Spider Man, but
- 9:54Speaker 1: that was more of a CAMI.
- 9:55Speaker 2: We've seen him four times, Andrew has three. Andrew has three.
- 9:59Speaker 2: So Tom, how he's had the most time in the suit.
- 10:04Speaker 1: And he also looks young.
- 10:06Speaker 2: He looks young. He looks young.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Spider Man's in high school. Yeah, for most of us,
- 10:13Speaker 1: we fell in Love with Spider Man. Comic books are
- 10:15Speaker 1: a cartoon. He was in high school.
- 10:17Speaker 2: He's always had that young vibe. Even when he graduated
- 10:19Speaker 2: from high school, he still was young.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Yeah, even when him and.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Mary Jane was out there was like living together or whatever.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Yeah, he was.
- 10:26Speaker 2: He always just felt young and regular.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Yeah. And Tom Holland looks like he could still be
- 10:33Speaker 1: in high school. Like he looks. He just blessed with
- 10:35Speaker 1: a youthful fact.
- 10:37Speaker 2: He got the youthful appearance down. I feel like once
- 10:42Speaker 2: I watched Brandon Day, I was like, yeah, he's definitively
- 10:45Speaker 2: my favorite Spider Man.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Definitively my favorite Spider Man. In this one, he is
- 10:51Speaker 1: very muted for a large portion of the film, which.
- 10:56Speaker 2: This is what I liked.
- 10:57Speaker 1: They did good. Yeah, you made that choice last time.
- 11:01Speaker 1: You gonna pay for it. Ain't no undoe, ain't no spell. Nah, Bro,
- 11:07Speaker 1: you gotta live with that.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Man. I'm glad they sat in that was made. That
- 11:12Speaker 2: your friend and your lover are gonna forget about you, bro,
- 11:16Speaker 2: and the end you got a marinate, it's gone. I
- 11:20Speaker 2: thought they tricked a little bit when uh, when Jean
- 11:23Speaker 2: was in her mind, I was she remembering when she
- 11:26Speaker 2: came in when when she revealed it, she was like, man,
- 11:29Speaker 2: she ain't in here at all.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Yeah, she don't know you at all. There ain't nothing
- 11:34Speaker 1: in here, my boy.
- 11:35Speaker 2: I'm glad they stayed true today for.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Sure, because you a lot of times in movies that
- 11:41Speaker 1: the stakes don't carry over. It's like an episode or whatever.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Or then like his goal is, like, I need to
- 11:46Speaker 1: get the memories back, bro. He watched them go through
- 11:49Speaker 1: the whole college.
- 11:50Speaker 3: He was like, can you imagine that watching for the
- 11:53Speaker 3: side your favorite people in life that are still alive
- 11:57Speaker 3: because you lost your aunt. Yeah, so now your favorite
- 12:00Speaker 3: people in life. You just got to watch him from
- 12:03Speaker 3: Afar as.
- 12:03Speaker 1: A stranger and they're having a time on the ground.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Taylor in my team, they roommates. She just love and
- 12:11Speaker 1: you by yourself.
- 12:12Speaker 2: You don't even have new friends, no new friends. You
- 12:14Speaker 2: just fighting crime.
- 12:15Speaker 1: The city loves you.
- 12:17Speaker 2: You got a great friend and the police officer.
- 12:20Speaker 1: But you don't even know her kids name. You don't
- 12:21Speaker 1: know her.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Kids' names like that. But that's who you're talking to
- 12:24Speaker 2: on the phone. Yes, and so it's just like you
- 12:27Speaker 2: lost everything, but you know, but the people rocking with
- 12:30Speaker 2: Spider Man.
- 12:30Speaker 1: That but the people is is just the people you
- 12:33Speaker 1: don't have the person, which I thought was a good
- 12:36Speaker 1: theme to explore, like and.
- 12:38Speaker 2: He didn't play it too MOPI like, like I love
- 12:41Speaker 2: I love Toby Maguire, but he got a Mopi vibe. Man,
- 12:46Speaker 2: he had a Mopi vibe and like in part two,
- 12:50Speaker 2: which I love too, is amazing, but he was, man,
- 12:53Speaker 2: I was just like it was one thing after another.
- 12:57Speaker 2: I was like, you are Charlie brown Man. He was
- 13:02Speaker 2: just like, oh shut. She was just it was he
- 13:06Speaker 2: had too much move Yeah, he was mumpy Deck And
- 13:09Speaker 2: I feel like Tom Holland although he was going through
- 13:12Speaker 2: what he's going through, I didn't feel as much molp
- 13:14Speaker 2: with him.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Nah. He was like, here's what I love. He buried
- 13:19Speaker 1: himself in the work and he never healed. Every time
- 13:23Speaker 1: they took his mask off, Fresh on your Blood, whole
- 13:28Speaker 1: movie talk.
- 13:29Speaker 2: He was beat up. He was when that mask came off.
- 13:31Speaker 1: It was something God done. It was something swollen his
- 13:38Speaker 1: hours here like he's like he's but he's getting thrown around,
- 13:45Speaker 1: punch kick knocked into walls every day for the most part. Bro,
- 13:49Speaker 1: that's gonna have a toll. It's gonna take a toll
- 13:52Speaker 1: on your body.
- 13:52Speaker 2: I love it when they showed the superheroes just getting
- 13:54Speaker 2: beat up Man. They're not they're not they super but
- 13:57Speaker 2: they're not like it's vulnerable.
- 13:59Speaker 1: That's why love spider Man. All the superhero spider Man
- 14:03Speaker 1: get whooped the most on the cartoon. They would and
- 14:07Speaker 1: he would be talking trash jaw disconnected. They beating the
- 14:14Speaker 1: Spider Man, be getting wopped. Everybody in New York take that, man.
- 14:18Speaker 1: I just beat the brakes off spider Man. You want
- 14:20Speaker 1: to have a turn.
- 14:21Speaker 2: You jumped a lot. They would jump Spidery. Spider Man
- 14:24Speaker 2: has gotten jumped more than any other superhero I can
- 14:27Speaker 2: think of. I'm not talking about jump where you see
- 14:29Speaker 2: Batman fighting a whole bunch of dudes at once. I'm
- 14:32Speaker 2: talking about they holding him down, got holding, grabbing, put
- 14:38Speaker 2: him in the face and let yo shocking like yo, Man,
- 14:41Speaker 2: make the big hand. He was fighting the same, ticking
- 14:44Speaker 2: him to y'all, tick on his feet man, hell yeah,
- 14:47Speaker 2: saying man, give him the big saying fist.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Hey gonna beat up here. I made to y'all.
- 14:52Speaker 2: God, hit him in the face with one of your
- 14:54Speaker 2: exploding funkins, missus mask up to when half his faces
- 14:58Speaker 2: out and we still can't see him, you know, half
- 15:01Speaker 2: off this man, this costume is getting shredded. Everything tall.
- 15:06Speaker 1: He would still be like, man, that's all you got
- 15:09Speaker 1: on backward.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Spider Man just missus, Steve, just.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Man.
- 15:16Speaker 2: That's how you feel somebody didn't have their coffee.
- 15:20Speaker 1: That's why I liked him, because it was like bro,
- 15:23Speaker 1: y'all whooping me, but you ain't gonna never take my
- 15:25Speaker 1: spirit right, I'm getting whooped and tossed from building.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Woolverine and Spider Man get just getting tall.
- 15:35Speaker 1: But Spider Man got no heel.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Ain't got the healing factor like Wolverine. I think he
- 15:39Speaker 2: has a little bit of a factor. But they've been,
- 15:41Speaker 2: they've been. They kind of oversell spiders. Let's talk about
- 15:44Speaker 2: it that for a second. Spider says is spiders do
- 15:49Speaker 2: not have a sense. This is be first and.
- 15:53Speaker 1: For a movie.
- 15:53Speaker 2: You step on the spider Dad, if it's a spider
- 15:56Speaker 2: on the wall, I'm gonna I'm gonna catch him with
- 15:59Speaker 2: the new balance. He is not gonna be like oh ship,
- 16:03Speaker 2: He's not gonna swing off his eyes and started to
- 16:06Speaker 2: get up that spiders did.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Spiders at most got a little scurry.
- 16:10Speaker 2: They are the they are one of the easiest bugs
- 16:13Speaker 2: to kill.
- 16:13Speaker 1: And hip flies.
- 16:15Speaker 2: I give you a spiders cent.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Now flies no or two out of this that I
- 16:19Speaker 1: be feeling so dumb as a man when I swing
- 16:22Speaker 1: tough and miss a fly. I know they'd be like.
- 16:27Speaker 2: And in their eyes you're moving like this. Come on, man,
- 16:33Speaker 2: you not go over the Canada.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Yeah, but they got no sense.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Spiders have no. I looked it up. I'm like, do
- 16:38Speaker 2: spiders have a sense.
- 16:40Speaker 1: No.
- 16:41Speaker 2: They can feel vibration, but they don't have like this
- 16:45Speaker 2: little sixth sense.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Of like you know, they probably put it from that
- 16:47Speaker 1: web thing. They can feel when they're tracking, but they
- 16:51Speaker 1: don't know what They just walking on the streets and
- 16:52Speaker 1: they don't.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Know what's coming because they have horrible vision. So they
- 16:56Speaker 2: just sitting there with their extremities on every plant form
- 17:00Speaker 2: of the web they made, just waiting for vibration. So
- 17:04Speaker 2: but it's not like if something's coming there, Oh, something's coming.
- 17:08Speaker 2: They got to feel you hit that web.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Stanley took a little liberty.
- 17:13Speaker 2: I'll give you the strength and I'll give you the
- 17:15Speaker 2: walk in the wall crawling. We give you that, but
- 17:19Speaker 2: also a healing factor. Spiders don't have that. Spiders be dad, Man,
- 17:24Speaker 2: you you take a leg off, they gonna be seven legs.
- 17:29Speaker 2: The web is gonna be raggedy.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Why are your webs look like this?
- 17:31Speaker 2: I'm missing legs, bitch, But that's why I was looking
- 17:39Speaker 2: like that.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Do you see ain't legs? No tell me what y'all
- 17:42Speaker 1: with all their minds you got, do you see a legs?
- 17:44Speaker 1: Shut the hell out there, man's.
- 17:46Speaker 2: Every leg for the intricate whibs. I got black widow webs.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Black widow webs are raggedy, by the way, for those underfom.
- 17:55Speaker 2: But so I just want to I just wanted to
- 17:57Speaker 2: put that out there. They kind of over said there.
- 18:00Speaker 2: They are strong though, Yeah, yeah, inseex are strong, so
- 18:03Speaker 2: you can't go wrong with that. And then, uh, I
- 18:08Speaker 2: just I just really appreciate how they scaled everything back.
- 18:12Speaker 1: I loved it, and they took their time.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Lord the Saks, Man, I'm sick of the multiverse.
- 18:17Speaker 1: I am done with the multi verse. Multi verse ruins
- 18:21Speaker 1: the steaks because you never feel like anybody's really dead.
- 18:26Speaker 2: They will take it out home, like watch it out.
- 18:29Speaker 1: When they die. They die.
- 18:31Speaker 2: Man, that steaks enough, scale it back, man.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Scale it back, Spider Man. Steaks be local, Yes, he
- 18:38Speaker 1: don't even be in Harlem. To your point enough, Spider
- 18:43Speaker 1: Man ain't never crossed over one hundred and twenty fifth Street,
- 18:46Speaker 1: Malcolm x'x Boulevard. He don't never go up there.
- 18:49Speaker 2: He only don't know where Wu Tang clan is from,
- 18:51Speaker 2: but where they came up at. He's not going to
- 18:53Speaker 2: statnam no a fairy come na man. Liberty watch out, yeah,
- 19:00Speaker 2: de liberty in one of them joints.
- 19:01Speaker 1: I think it was a homecoming, but.
- 19:02Speaker 2: That's neither hear your. I like how everything was scaled back,
- 19:06Speaker 2: and you know, we got a we got a new
- 19:08Speaker 2: localized threat.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Yes, which was a surprise for me. Yes, the villain
- 19:14Speaker 1: in this, I know.
- 19:15Speaker 2: I didn't know when they said the name, I reacted.
- 19:17Speaker 2: I felt like a cornball, did you Yeah, because when
- 19:21Speaker 2: they said her and they are.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Like, oh so it didn't get smalled for you?
- 19:24Speaker 2: No, I got no. I had no clue.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Steve Lacy, are you ruined it?
- 19:30Speaker 2: Is that what he ruined?
- 19:31Speaker 1: Yes? Okay? And the and the reporter was like, yo,
- 19:35Speaker 1: don't spoil this gray man grat in here, Jean, and
- 19:41Speaker 1: you wouldn't.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Nobody would have known they.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Had her on her knee. They started with Scorpion. Uh,
- 19:50Speaker 1: the our bino dude, Tombstone, Tombstone, those are Spider Man
- 19:57Speaker 1: milling like. I was like, okay, Scorpion, we ain't seen him.
- 20:00Speaker 1: It was a scorpion from breaking back, like a Mexican scorpion.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, he's always been Mexican though. Yeah the character Scorpion.
- 20:09Speaker 1: Hell yeah, good friend.
- 20:10Speaker 2: It was It was another It was another Mexican villain
- 20:13Speaker 2: in the Spider Man Us Cannon. His name was Tarantula.
- 20:17Speaker 2: He ended up getting turned into like an actual spider.
- 20:22Speaker 2: It was like a giant spider. I feel bad for
- 20:24Speaker 2: him because there Harry too killing himself, like he had
- 20:27Speaker 2: jumped off the building like they would shoot down and
- 20:30Speaker 2: he just jumped off the building. He was just a
- 20:32Speaker 2: big ass dead spider. I was like, damn, they had
- 20:35Speaker 2: to do him like that.
- 20:37Speaker 1: So they put Tombstone in that movie and got him
- 20:39Speaker 1: right up out of there.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Matter of fact, that tarantulal character. Remember remember there was
- 20:44Speaker 2: a montage of Spider Man doing heroic stuff. But there's
- 20:48Speaker 2: a throwback to the covers, right the Spider Man carrying
- 20:52Speaker 2: the guy and like Tombstone and like Boomerang. But there's
- 20:55Speaker 2: one where the dude tried to kick him with the
- 20:57Speaker 2: little sharp foot. Yeah that's anyway, but yes, nerd out.
- 21:03Speaker 2: But so I didn't know that, you know, Lacey did that.
- 21:08Speaker 2: And so when I said, oh, ruined that because because
- 21:12Speaker 2: when they were introducing the villain, I didn't recognize the
- 21:15Speaker 2: power scheme, I was like, yo, this is like falling.
- 21:17Speaker 1: So I didn't. The thing that's good about me is
- 21:20Speaker 1: I thought Gene Gray was making a cameo. Yeah, So
- 21:23Speaker 1: when it was that person, I was like, because it
- 21:26Speaker 1: kind of reminded me a little bit of the villain
- 21:28Speaker 1: on the last mins Morales one the dots dude that
- 21:33Speaker 1: was hopping around. Yeah, I was like, but I know
- 21:35Speaker 1: it's not that, But I was like, I don't remember
- 21:37Speaker 1: this villain and it was a coold way to show
- 21:41Speaker 1: her power. The black dude he shined. I was like,
- 21:48Speaker 1: whoever that black dude? After it, I said, brother, he
- 21:51Speaker 1: took that three minutes, He took his three point as said,
- 21:56Speaker 1: I'm you gonna remember because a lot of people got
- 21:58Speaker 1: to talk for sure. But he was like nah. He
- 22:02Speaker 1: was probably the most memorable hum of the jumps, and
- 22:06Speaker 1: he also had a little bit more lines. But I
- 22:09Speaker 1: was like, no, I'm feeling you. I thought, okay, this
- 22:12Speaker 1: is it. He'd have won, and then when they jumped out,
- 22:14Speaker 1: I was like, oh, dam I know where he going.
- 22:16Speaker 2: I would love to play the role like that.
- 22:18Speaker 1: Oh you would kill that tall.
- 22:19Speaker 2: I'm just like one of the people that get possessed
- 22:22Speaker 2: by the person.
- 22:22Speaker 1: Yeah. You people would laugh though, just because they think
- 22:25Speaker 1: you're funny, But you wouldn't be playing.
- 22:28Speaker 2: No, because it would be like a in that particular setup.
- 22:32Speaker 2: It would be like a character switch. I can be
- 22:34Speaker 2: kind of funny because I'm like messing with you. Yeah,
- 22:37Speaker 2: I could be regular. At first, tamp you really you
- 22:39Speaker 2: really thought that was such a much? Yeah, you know,
- 22:44Speaker 2: I thought that was pretty dope how they did that.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Okay, Patreon to say his name is not okay, I
- 22:49Speaker 1: don't know how to pronounce this in I y a
- 22:52Speaker 1: in I y a. He had a resume, he's uh,
- 22:57Speaker 1: he's been borders what it feels like for a girl?
- 23:00Speaker 2: Great song by Madonna by the way.
- 23:02Speaker 1: What so borders? After everything? Eve All, he directed and
- 23:09Speaker 1: Spider Man bred day so a lot of young Yeah,
- 23:12Speaker 1: but I feel like that's gonna be like I made
- 23:14Speaker 1: sure that. When I saw him, I said, I need
- 23:17Speaker 1: to I like him as an actor. I feel like
- 23:20Speaker 1: he did a great, great job. Yeah, somebody said the
- 23:24Speaker 1: possession movements reminded him of Falling. I love Falling. And
- 23:32Speaker 1: here's what I like about Jean Gray being the main
- 23:35Speaker 1: villain but Spider Man being the thing. Jean Gray is
- 23:38Speaker 1: not had her strongest yet, so she's relative to where
- 23:42Speaker 1: Spider Man is. I like the idea of a young
- 23:45Speaker 1: Jean Gray, where she at the beginning movie, she's only
- 23:48Speaker 1: thirty feet that's as far as she can go. By
- 23:52Speaker 1: the end of the movie, it's like little I can
- 23:56Speaker 1: get you in the bow row. It reminds you that
- 23:59Speaker 1: she's an Omega level mutant and.
- 24:01Speaker 2: I was figuring it out still.
- 24:03Speaker 1: I got a little piece of hope with this that
- 24:07Speaker 1: they could do the Dark Phoenix saga again. That is
- 24:11Speaker 1: my favorite X Men art. The cartoon did it. She
- 24:16Speaker 1: was bigger than Earth Tone. Professor X was like, hey, y'all,
- 24:21Speaker 1: I don't can't. They couldn't do nothing with her at
- 24:26Speaker 1: her and when she was like losing it, Professor X
- 24:30Speaker 1: was like, bro, I'm tripping.
- 24:31Speaker 2: And they was never able to do nothing with her
- 24:33Speaker 2: because in the totality of the story, she had to
- 24:38Speaker 2: kill herself. I know the only way they was able
- 24:41Speaker 2: to get through it.
- 24:41Speaker 1: And I like it. Just I told you this before
- 24:45Speaker 1: her Wanda the villain in New Avengers thunder or Thunderbolts.
- 24:50Speaker 1: You can't beat them. You gotta talk hey, man, let
- 24:53Speaker 1: me talk to you.
- 24:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm sad.
- 24:57Speaker 1: Like he had to calm her down because you pound
- 25:00Speaker 1: for pound, power for power, bro, She's stopping the world.
- 25:06Speaker 1: She's like professor. Actually just rewatching Logan. I just rewatched
- 25:09Speaker 1: Logan for for the podcast. She's stopping everybody. You man
- 25:13Speaker 1: really is the hero because she hugged her and she.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Was like, man, I just came things nice little mental
- 25:21Speaker 2: toes down. But it's just it's just you know, she
- 25:26Speaker 2: didn't stop the whole world, but she's not a big
- 25:28Speaker 2: portion of the city. But it was just like she's
- 25:30Speaker 2: just getting started.
- 25:31Speaker 1: I stopped the world. World stopping now. But it's New
- 25:34Speaker 1: York and they have Mary j Mary j had the
- 25:38Speaker 1: little m J had the little tear coming out. But yeah,
- 25:40Speaker 1: I loved that. It was early Jean Gray.
- 25:44Speaker 2: I liked the casting too. They did a good job.
- 25:47Speaker 1: I liked Sadie sinc as young Jean Gray. I don't
- 25:51Speaker 1: don't get on no drugs do good because there's a
- 25:55Speaker 1: path for you to be in four hundred.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Movies if they if they do it right, I really
- 26:00Speaker 2: feel like.
- 26:00Speaker 1: She's young though she's young, young, She's like, I need
- 26:04Speaker 1: to go to Professor's exens School young.
- 26:07Speaker 2: I'm just like they kind of that kind of puts
- 26:10Speaker 2: the X Men in the box. If they do keep
- 26:12Speaker 2: her as Jean Gray, I don't know if they gonna
- 26:14Speaker 2: age her up and turn with a different actress. And
- 26:17Speaker 2: it's like now now everybody gotta be young.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Well see what what I thought, what I thought Spider
- 26:22Speaker 1: Man Brand New Day did best. It sets you up
- 26:26Speaker 1: for two things. Mutants ain't. People ain't gonna like mutants
- 26:30Speaker 1: because what Jeen Gray was able to do right. And
- 26:35Speaker 1: Professor actually three things Professor X's School for Exceptional Children
- 26:40Speaker 1: something like that gifted Professor Xen, you know what I'm saying,
- 26:44Speaker 1: gifted or exceptional. And three the inhibitors. You know that's
- 26:49Speaker 1: gonna come back for sure. And Spider Man, it wasn't
- 26:54Speaker 1: accidemic because he needed it, but he created some tech
- 26:58Speaker 1: that's gonna be just like damage from Bro said he
- 27:01Speaker 1: had a good reason, but the tech gonna be used
- 27:04Speaker 1: for for sure.
- 27:05Speaker 2: I mean, come they found out, they're like perfect, They're
- 27:08Speaker 2: gonna be using that. They're gonna be collaring.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Mutants, all easy work. They're gonna be tossing them things
- 27:13Speaker 1: on there. And I love how they snuck in it.
- 27:15Speaker 1: You couldn't put it on Hawk when he was in
- 27:17Speaker 1: his form. It's like, nah, he's and also, man, shout
- 27:20Speaker 1: out to Hawk being back strong again. Get the glasses
- 27:24Speaker 1: out of here. Hawk.
- 27:25Speaker 2: I'm sick of nerdy nice hope. I don't want to
- 27:28Speaker 2: see it no more.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Take.
- 27:30Speaker 2: I want Hulk angry, big as hell, is just tearing
- 27:35Speaker 2: everything up.
- 27:36Speaker 1: Why was Hawk wearing sweaters with glasses on?
- 27:41Speaker 2: I didn't want that is gonna be regular. I want
- 27:45Speaker 2: him to be an asshole regular. Yeah, he was in
- 27:48Speaker 2: the comics talking shit, still just ribbing people. I don't
- 27:51Speaker 2: want the super nice guy.
- 27:53Speaker 1: No, man, because that ain't Hawk. That defeats a purpose.
- 27:56Speaker 1: And he was like, man, you're bigger than I remember. Yeah, man,
- 27:58Speaker 1: because I'm out here for real with me. But it
- 28:01Speaker 1: took me seven movies finally, man, but I'm back smashing stuff.
- 28:06Speaker 1: He was beating the bro he was.
- 28:07Speaker 2: He was standing up in there with a building worth
- 28:13Speaker 2: of material hanging from his his back, and he was
- 28:16Speaker 2: just standing there. He struggled for a minute and he
- 28:18Speaker 2: was like all right, and then.
- 28:20Speaker 1: He gave up when he just gave up.
- 28:21Speaker 2: With it, but he was yeah, he looked at what
- 28:23Speaker 2: he was holding up back.
- 28:25Speaker 1: There was just remind us of who Hawk really is,
- 28:28Speaker 1: right because Thanos, like to use a tony term, Thanos
- 28:33Speaker 1: nerved him. They nerved him with Dannos. To show you
- 28:36Speaker 1: how big Dannals was like, you can have him beat
- 28:39Speaker 1: half one on one, but he ain't got to beat
- 28:41Speaker 1: the confidence out of hell.
- 28:42Speaker 2: No, this shouldn't be no easy win.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Nah, he was here a pink pink let him have it,
- 28:49Speaker 1: you know. Your boy was like, let him have his
- 28:51Speaker 1: fun man. And then he's you know the molecuar biology.
- 28:57Speaker 2: In the comic books. But either he got a trick
- 28:59Speaker 2: him somehow or its just like but easy win, just
- 29:02Speaker 2: on pure fighting though, especially when he's gonna get pissed
- 29:07Speaker 2: getting the better of him in the matter he gets
- 29:09Speaker 2: the stronger.
- 29:09Speaker 1: He gets exactly, So keep that going.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Yes, stop you know what I'm saying, because everybody that
- 29:15Speaker 2: the whole fights in the comic books, they find a
- 29:18Speaker 2: way to beat him, but just make it a.
- 29:21Speaker 1: Struggle, that's all I ask.
- 29:23Speaker 2: Like, when had to fight him in Africa, Yeah, that
- 29:26Speaker 2: was that was a fight.
- 29:27Speaker 1: Yes, And he built he built a big hak he
- 29:30Speaker 1: built the hawk thing and.
- 29:32Speaker 2: Then you got to calm him down and just like
- 29:34Speaker 2: let's get back to that.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, but yeah, I thought the casting was good
- 29:38Speaker 1: as well. Yeah, and Day and Tom Holland. Man, you
- 29:42Speaker 1: talk about some back to back movies. Has anybody ever
- 29:45Speaker 1: done back to back billion dollar movies in the in
- 29:49Speaker 1: four weeks?
- 29:49Speaker 2: Yeah, they're back to back is crazy?
- 29:51Speaker 1: Back to back billion that's crazy back to back.
- 29:56Speaker 2: In imagine imagine working with your with your girl man
- 30:03Speaker 2: in top tier entertainment, just the biggest and both getting paid,
- 30:08Speaker 2: hanging out still and.
- 30:11Speaker 1: She's your girlfriend in this movie. Yeah.
- 30:14Speaker 2: Man, that's a sweet ass setter.
- 30:16Speaker 1: And I love to come out of my trailer and
- 30:18Speaker 1: listens my love interest watch against Indian.
- 30:22Speaker 2: To worry about her, like, man, you ain't never home,
- 30:24Speaker 2: like we both at.
- 30:25Speaker 1: Work, were both at work, We both at work, and
- 30:30Speaker 1: she wasn't even in the movie that that much. Punisher
- 30:33Speaker 1: was in it there way more than by the way
- 30:37Speaker 1: John Berthaw as deranged maniac gun guy, he was signed
- 30:43Speaker 1: me he's also back to back billion.
- 30:45Speaker 2: Oh yeah, he was.
- 30:49Speaker 1: As a Middlelaias, but he worked. He gave the Punisher
- 30:53Speaker 1: more charm than you seen him.
- 30:56Speaker 2: Oh yeah, for sure.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Spider Man brought that out of him.
- 30:58Speaker 2: Bring he's bringing that because he was he was still
- 31:00Speaker 2: rough and gritty, and then he was just like yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 31:06Speaker 2: MJ is so funny. She's just like, I'll take some chill.
- 31:09Speaker 2: She was great, fantastic.
- 31:11Speaker 1: I feel like Zenda is, She's just got a certain something.
- 31:16Speaker 1: She has such a likability. She has the dramatic chops.
- 31:20Speaker 1: I haven't seen challenges. Did you see that.
- 31:22Speaker 2: I haven't seen that.
- 31:22Speaker 1: I didn't see that either, But that knock on Marie thing.
- 31:25Speaker 1: You've seen more of her. Athena was a different version
- 31:28Speaker 1: of her, but her version of MJ she's great, and
- 31:32Speaker 1: that as great as nast That.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Is fantastic as well. So it's just like, you know,
- 31:37Speaker 2: those moments that she had with Peter were great. Even
- 31:40Speaker 2: when she was you know, body jumped in, she was
- 31:43Speaker 2: her regular self. You could tell she like felt bad
- 31:45Speaker 2: for him because it's just like, damn, you know, I
- 31:48Speaker 2: just ain't got no love for you like that because
- 31:49Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 31:50Speaker 1: You I don't hear what you're saying. I feel you
- 31:53Speaker 1: confess and I feel you. I know you feel something.
- 31:55Speaker 2: She fell back. She's like, you can come through.
- 31:59Speaker 1: Come on, you know what I'm saying.
- 32:02Speaker 2: I I you know, I got a boyfriend.
- 32:04Speaker 1: You can come over. Yeah for one time. Yeah, it
- 32:07Speaker 1: was like, no, they done. Spider be right up in
- 32:11Speaker 1: that web, right up in there. He's gonna be. Man,
- 32:13Speaker 1: how much I'm slid right back?
- 32:15Speaker 2: Yeah? Right up?
- 32:16Speaker 1: What do you think about the spider him becoming more
- 32:20Speaker 1: of a spider? I was.
- 32:22Speaker 2: I was wondering where they were gonna go with that.
- 32:24Speaker 2: I was just like, oh, he's becoming a spider, Like uh,
- 32:28Speaker 2: I was just wondering how far they was gonna take that. Yeah,
- 32:30Speaker 2: really gonna start transforming because that would be my biggest
- 32:33Speaker 2: fear as Spider Man, Like, am I gonna start looking like?
- 32:37Speaker 1: Yeah a spider? Yes? Like if my eyes certain black,
- 32:41Speaker 1: I'm like that was great?
- 32:43Speaker 2: Am I gonna have four? Over? Then five? Am I
- 32:47Speaker 2: gonna have six eyes? Are the war is gonna come
- 32:49Speaker 2: out of my belly button? Oh?
- 32:51Speaker 1: That's gross? That is how it works with real spider.
- 32:54Speaker 2: Yeah, it's coming out the abdomen. Yeah, Am I gonna
- 32:58Speaker 2: get these weird hairs. Am I gonna start getting rapping
- 33:00Speaker 2: this towards Yes, we're gonna start drinking.
- 33:04Speaker 1: You know, because they drained the blood in your inside,
- 33:07Speaker 1: they'll drain you.
- 33:08Speaker 2: I would be. I would be terrified. Am I gonna
- 33:11Speaker 2: grow multiple limbs?
- 33:13Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 33:14Speaker 2: I wouldn't be. I'll be like yo with the Spider
- 33:17Speaker 2: Jean or whatever kicking in like this, I'm gonna be shipped.
- 33:20Speaker 1: Yes. I love that he was losing control. With the
- 33:26Speaker 1: theme of the movie that the dude who ran damage
- 33:30Speaker 1: control was saying, like, we all have our monsters in
- 33:35Speaker 1: our you know, good man, in our humanity, which we
- 33:38Speaker 1: always people have, are good in our bad. So when
- 33:41Speaker 1: he's losing control and he slammed that cop card down,
- 33:44Speaker 1: I was like, oh, like he really gotta figure this out.
- 33:49Speaker 1: He was. It was great. The cop was like, god,
- 33:52Speaker 1: dog man, hell you doing?
- 33:54Speaker 2: He was just like he was slinging the score been around.
- 33:57Speaker 2: I don't care who get hit. Second of this was like,
- 34:01Speaker 2: all right, man, man, I'm not a prison man. I
- 34:06Speaker 2: just got a prison man. Keith David did do a
- 34:11Speaker 2: voiceover cameo, also, wait what do you do? You can
- 34:14Speaker 2: hear his voice. They were watching like a Spider documentary
- 34:17Speaker 2: on something it's Keith David was doing.
- 34:19Speaker 1: Oh, I didn't recognize it.
- 34:20Speaker 2: And they say Naomi Watts is the voice of his
- 34:23Speaker 2: like Jarvist type.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, I thought that was familiar, but I didn't.
- 34:28Speaker 1: I didn't recognize her.
- 34:29Speaker 2: I didn't recognize a voice because they go back to
- 34:32Speaker 2: the movie The Impossible. Yeah, yeah, so I thought that
- 34:35Speaker 2: was the I'm sure time set that up.
- 34:37Speaker 1: Yeah. I thought I thought Black Widow was good.
- 34:40Speaker 2: I love black I love her as a black widow.
- 34:43Speaker 1: Florence Pew.
- 34:44Speaker 2: I love Florence Pew.
- 34:45Speaker 1: Though I don't I've never seen her do something that
- 34:47Speaker 1: I didn't like.
- 34:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I like her a lot.
- 34:49Speaker 1: She is a really good actress. I thought she was
- 34:54Speaker 1: good in that role. I thought she was just helpful
- 34:58Speaker 1: enough and like she's not gonna get involved, She's just
- 35:00Speaker 1: gonna do a thing or two.
- 35:02Speaker 2: I like the dynamic between Punisher MJ and Spider Man.
- 35:06Speaker 1: It was great.
- 35:07Speaker 2: It was a great. It was a great dynamic. I
- 35:10Speaker 2: like how MJ could just accept the Punisher for how
- 35:13Speaker 2: he was.
- 35:14Speaker 1: For sure, she wasn't thrown off by him, and she
- 35:17Speaker 1: ate the chili.
- 35:18Speaker 2: You know what, I'm saying, and so I really liked that,
- 35:20Speaker 2: especially when you think about how MJ has been throughout
- 35:23Speaker 2: this franchise, just like.
- 35:24Speaker 1: You know, it's her own lane for sure.
- 35:28Speaker 2: For sure, I feel like that taps because you know
- 35:30Speaker 2: the punisher is in his own own lane.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Yes, and I think Spider Man and punished out the
- 35:34Speaker 1: good chemistry as well, Like it was great, I saved
- 35:37Speaker 1: you all this guy, Yeah, that's John bertha Let me
- 35:42Speaker 1: tell you something, man, like a wrestler. I saved you
- 35:47Speaker 1: was standing on him. That's John berth On for sure.
- 35:56Speaker 2: So that that was a great addition man.
- 35:58Speaker 1: And then he was Spider Man one Nick, you shot
- 36:00Speaker 1: me at the end. I win this forever. But I
- 36:04Speaker 1: saved you. But but you wouldn't have to save it
- 36:06Speaker 1: if you didn't shoot me. Ain't nobody tell you to
- 36:08Speaker 1: pull the snipper right while?
- 36:09Speaker 2: And I felt the regret from Yes, yeah.
- 36:12Speaker 1: It was nice with it, but Spidy sense saved it.
- 36:16Speaker 1: That spiders don't really have Spider Jean Gray was just
- 36:21Speaker 1: get lit up. She got lit up.
- 36:25Speaker 2: And I like the fact that you know, once you
- 36:26Speaker 2: take Jane Gray's powers, she she ain't bring nothing else.
- 36:29Speaker 1: Oh no, when they clipped that thing on. She was
- 36:32Speaker 1: like Jesus a redhead, I'm not coming with the geek.
- 36:38Speaker 2: Uh.
- 36:38Speaker 1: Completely forgot or did not know she had a sister
- 36:41Speaker 1: named Sarah Gray that comic book. True, I didn't.
- 36:44Speaker 2: I didn't remember no sister in the comic books.
- 36:47Speaker 1: I don't think she had powers though I don't. I
- 36:49Speaker 1: was like, who the hell is Sarah? And what is
- 36:52Speaker 1: v Max?
- 36:52Speaker 2: I don't remember her having powers? But you know they
- 36:55Speaker 2: always changing stuff up in comics. Yeah, but historically when
- 36:59Speaker 2: I was reading the comics, I was just like, yes,
- 37:01Speaker 2: she got a sister, because I always just thinking about
- 37:05Speaker 2: the family dynamic. But I was just like, but that's
- 37:07Speaker 2: somebody I had never thought I was like a sister.
- 37:09Speaker 2: I had to go back and re up.
- 37:11Speaker 1: I do want to pause. Trammel Tillman Man, Yeah, here
- 37:15Speaker 1: working he uh severance as milchak. He does so many
- 37:20Speaker 1: good things. Well, I was watching this like, man, it's
- 37:22Speaker 1: the first time I say him he ain't. He ain't
- 37:24Speaker 1: really the villain And lo and behold on the underneath
- 37:33Speaker 1: man smooth Man's you know Sarah Man. When she came
- 37:36Speaker 1: to my mind, it was it was Sarah of the
- 37:38Speaker 1: whole thing. What happened?
- 37:40Speaker 2: It was like this thing.
- 37:43Speaker 1: You believe it. He was like a say, okay, flip
- 37:50Speaker 1: the whip, m J. What was it like for you? Nothing?
- 37:53Speaker 1: I heard absolutely nothing. The lights was off, the lights
- 37:57Speaker 1: was off. Nothing.
- 37:58Speaker 2: Man.
- 37:58Speaker 1: I woke up and I will come over here, went
- 38:00Speaker 1: to sleep here, walk up here, resident and he got
- 38:07Speaker 1: hurt in the thing right now he doing tests on
- 38:11Speaker 1: her right now.
- 38:13Speaker 2: Man, we kids assist on accident. We're gonna kill you
- 38:16Speaker 2: an accident. How about this? It's not.
- 38:21Speaker 1: What is v max? He was like, Man, I don't
- 38:23Speaker 1: know for real, he really didn't know. He did not
- 38:26Speaker 1: know what you're talking about? What is v MA? Just
- 38:29Speaker 1: like I love that because v MAX sounds like something
- 38:34Speaker 1: that the government would be hiding or needed like v MAX.
- 38:43Speaker 2: That was like, do not remove on the genelty of law?
- 38:46Speaker 2: What the hell's that? I was looking at the masters
- 38:48Speaker 2: from the bottom before that that v MAX thing?
- 38:52Speaker 1: Was she really my sister died? It was good? I
- 38:58Speaker 1: loved see why I like Jen Gray is a villain.
- 39:03Speaker 1: She was a villain who wasn't a villain, but she
- 39:06Speaker 1: was a villain. Her biggest villain rey is she don't
- 39:10Speaker 1: have control of her powers like that, and that's what
- 39:12Speaker 1: she always Her main thing in X rat is she
- 39:16Speaker 1: never is in full control.
- 39:18Speaker 2: She's scary, man.
- 39:19Speaker 1: That's why she's scary. That's why the Dark Phoenix saga
- 39:23Speaker 1: is my favorite, because you really don't know. And if
- 39:26Speaker 1: she doesn't come to her senses to kill herself, I'll
- 39:30Speaker 1: kill everybody in here, including you, Professor X.
- 39:32Speaker 2: She destroyed a whole galaxy.
- 39:36Speaker 1: Bro, Professor X knows like we gotta we gotta get her, y'all.
- 39:41Speaker 2: She destroyed a whole galaxy and came back to New
- 39:44Speaker 2: York like nothing.
- 39:46Speaker 1: Father at all.
- 39:48Speaker 2: And then she always just like we know this is
- 39:51Speaker 2: y'all homegirl, she got to die? What? No, she No,
- 39:57Speaker 2: y'all don't understand.
- 39:59Speaker 1: The I wasn't trying to hear none of that.
- 40:02Speaker 2: Jean Gray must die.
- 40:05Speaker 1: No, No, you don't know her.
- 40:08Speaker 2: We don't give a fuck, bro. She wiped out an
- 40:12Speaker 2: entire galaxy where y'all sitting here thinking, y'all the center
- 40:15Speaker 2: of the goddamn universe. American destroy the whole galaxy?
- 40:23Speaker 1: No, not, my geane little Well. That was my first
- 40:29Speaker 1: love triangle in life is Jean Gray Wolverine Cyclops. That
- 40:34Speaker 1: was when I was a kid. I was like, oh snap,
- 40:37Speaker 1: because she wanted Wolverine. She she had to go with
- 40:40Speaker 1: the you know, Cyclops leader Clouds is a safe pick
- 40:43Speaker 1: QB one. It got come from the rich family. He
- 40:47Speaker 1: got health care, I Care, and then you also got
- 40:52Speaker 1: gambling rogue. They got that thing going on that a
- 40:56Speaker 1: little triangle magneto.
- 40:58Speaker 2: In that magneto took a dawn though you got in there.
- 41:07Speaker 2: The game was like, oh ship.
- 41:09Speaker 1: Yo, do you think mute and women can use their
- 41:13Speaker 1: powers during sex?
- 41:15Speaker 2: Well, rogue, Rogue can't even have.
- 41:17Speaker 1: It, no I know her. But like other mutants, you know, Brogue,
- 41:20Speaker 1: you can't go hand in hand, but other people like
- 41:23Speaker 1: imagine a mutant kegel that might snap that that probably
- 41:29Speaker 1: feel crazy on that mutant pen because that kego probably
- 41:32Speaker 1: be like, god, damn girl, what you working with? It
- 41:34Speaker 1: pleased me too, tight man, You about to snap my
- 41:37Speaker 1: helt off. Back up the gig.
- 41:42Speaker 2: And then you know, because you got you got a
- 41:45Speaker 2: mystique that can turn into any fantasy woman you want.
- 41:48Speaker 1: There you go, you know, but then but that's probably
- 41:51Speaker 1: gonna cause an argument, that's gonna cause mistake. Turning the mexicis.
- 41:55Speaker 2: Wild like that, like look what you in the mood
- 41:57Speaker 2: for tonight?
- 41:58Speaker 1: Now that's some role play.
- 41:59Speaker 2: That's big role player. Everybody else role playing. You get
- 42:02Speaker 2: your little outfit on. Really, who are you into?
- 42:07Speaker 1: Now? That's I probably would never do that if I
- 42:09Speaker 1: was a mistake. That's you just asking for an argument.
- 42:12Speaker 1: Because even if she do it later on three weeks later,
- 42:16Speaker 1: you forget to take the trash out. Oh oh, you
- 42:19Speaker 1: don't remember to take the trash ow, but you're gonna
- 42:21Speaker 1: turn me in the buffet the body. Now I got
- 42:24Speaker 1: to go. Now, I got to be Buffy the body.
- 42:27Speaker 1: And now what you're gonna say? You said you was
- 42:28Speaker 1: cool with it. I wasn't cool with it. I lied.
- 42:32Speaker 1: I just want to see what you was really into.
- 42:34Speaker 1: What if it was on.
- 42:34Speaker 2: Every just every now and then, just a different just.
- 42:38Speaker 1: I never take her up on it. I would never
- 42:41Speaker 1: because it's a track. I feel like it's a trap
- 42:43Speaker 1: because only if I could turn into somebody for her.
- 42:47Speaker 1: But if it's just her, she's gonna use that against you.
- 42:49Speaker 2: If you change this is somebody for her, you're not
- 42:52Speaker 2: gonna feel like, oh this would you like?
- 42:54Speaker 1: No, That's why I would only do it if we
- 42:56Speaker 1: both had the same power both change. Yeah, But if
- 42:58Speaker 1: I just had laser eyes, I'd be like, no, girl,
- 43:00Speaker 1: you I love you how you are in the blue?
- 43:03Speaker 1: You like me? Blue monster McGee, yep, I like you
- 43:07Speaker 1: all with your skin on the inside of the outside.
- 43:09Speaker 2: Would you be feeling mystique with the the.
- 43:12Speaker 1: Scaliness and watch out, hell no, man, it looks like
- 43:16Speaker 1: a lizard turn into something? Girl?
- 43:19Speaker 2: What is What if it was the original looking mystique
- 43:22Speaker 2: where she's blue but her skin smooth, her eyes yellow. No,
- 43:27Speaker 2: she still had the I don't know if that was
- 43:30Speaker 2: a costume she was laying, but she still had like stuff.
- 43:34Speaker 2: But like, let's say, her skin is completely smooth, but
- 43:36Speaker 2: it's blue. Her eyes are yellow. Man, that's weird.
- 43:42Speaker 1: You look like a gecko can be regular man?
- 43:47Speaker 2: Yellow eyes, you're trying to yellowire no iris.
- 43:53Speaker 1: No full yellow, full yellow. You gotta have a kink
- 43:58Speaker 1: for to go forth? Like yeah, girl, you're looking at
- 44:00Speaker 1: her eyes. It ain't no separation or nothing.
- 44:03Speaker 2: It's just a yellow voice in her face.
- 44:06Speaker 1: She got spider man eyes, but they yell up man,
- 44:08Speaker 1: watch out, I'm out feeling. Hell no, man, turn into
- 44:12Speaker 1: something and you've gotta be famous. Just turn into a
- 44:14Speaker 1: regular time with the smooth skin. I'm out.
- 44:18Speaker 2: Was a nice about the Blue Lady from the Fifth Element,
- 44:21Speaker 2: the Opper Singer.
- 44:22Speaker 1: You wasn't feeling that. I don't want blue people, just
- 44:26Speaker 1: regular people.
- 44:30Speaker 2: I like the waven steink look with the smooth skin scales.
- 44:33Speaker 1: I'm out.
- 44:35Speaker 2: Seals is the way you lose me.
- 44:38Speaker 1: The stek would be.
- 44:38Speaker 2: A fantastic woman if I ain't looking for nothing serious.
- 44:42Speaker 2: That's the that's the situationship you want right there. But look,
- 44:46Speaker 2: man trying to get tied down by no woman, I
- 44:48Speaker 2: mean any woman you want told, but let's get it there.
- 44:51Speaker 2: Every time my hook up with you, you're somebody else.
- 44:54Speaker 2: That way, I didn't smash all my fantacy person. The
- 44:58Speaker 2: paperwork clears that's true, because since I'm messing with mystike,
- 45:02Speaker 2: I just smash everybody. Because I was Ever, it was famous,
- 45:05Speaker 2: I was Ever. She gonna use that against you, now
- 45:08Speaker 2: we were not a couple though even then, she gonna
- 45:11Speaker 2: catch feelings.
- 45:13Speaker 1: You just used me to be anyone. First, I'm this person,
- 45:15Speaker 1: then I'm Galgado, then I'm this and I'm that.
- 45:17Speaker 2: But you signed up for this.
- 45:19Speaker 1: You think that works just because you said it. That's
- 45:21Speaker 1: your little stupid thing. I told you straight up. When
- 45:23Speaker 1: they want to tell you straight up, and then when
- 45:25Speaker 1: you do it, they be like, how dare you stay fault? Yeah,
- 45:28Speaker 1: but it's your phone from believing that they believe you
- 45:31Speaker 1: when you said it. Now that's the truth. That's your
- 45:35Speaker 1: phone for believing that that was gonna stick with it.
- 45:38Speaker 1: You know she can't do it.
- 45:39Speaker 2: I've told you what you said. I know what I said.
- 45:42Speaker 2: I tell you my mind. Then let me show you
- 45:47Speaker 2: that you can. You can go on to someone else,
- 45:49Speaker 2: but let me show you smooth Skins.
- 45:51Speaker 1: This is what the podcast is for Tom, for us
- 45:54Speaker 1: to talk about whether you would take down smooth Skin
- 45:56Speaker 1: to steak or not. You want to hear to go
- 45:59Speaker 1: see by seat, go to another podcast. Wouldn't you smash
- 46:03Speaker 1: a million woman who says she turned the other women
- 46:05Speaker 1: for you as a married man? I would not. You're
- 46:07Speaker 1: not gonna win that argument unless I had memory erasing powers. Now,
- 46:12Speaker 1: now y'all come in on the underneath and forget you
- 46:14Speaker 1: when you start to get mad, I Rachel, let me
- 46:19Speaker 1: see smooth Skin the comic book.
- 46:22Speaker 2: Comic book. Yeah, okay, she I don't think she ever
- 46:25Speaker 2: been smooth skinned.
- 46:26Speaker 1: I ain't never seen her, So maybe I'm tripping because
- 46:28Speaker 1: she was Skelly McGee, and I was like, man, watch out.
- 46:31Speaker 2: Her skin was smooth in the comics historically. All right,
- 46:35Speaker 2: let me be fine, all right, it's one shot.
- 46:39Speaker 1: She got fat buttery this picture. I don't know where
- 46:41Speaker 1: they bootied her up.
- 46:44Speaker 2: The skin in the eyes.
- 46:45Speaker 1: And you know what I'm saying, Why didn't make her
- 46:48Speaker 1: thick in this picture? Let me get you give me
- 46:52Speaker 1: just a thickness out of hand. It's clouding my mind.
- 46:55Speaker 2: She was looking in the comic books. Come on, that's
- 46:58Speaker 2: how the comic book women was held.
- 47:01Speaker 1: Man, I don't this. I wasn't aware.
- 47:05Speaker 2: That's what she was looking like. She worked in the
- 47:07Speaker 2: comic books. There was never hips. Yeah, I mean they
- 47:11Speaker 2: they always drew the comic book Women's superheroes. They were
- 47:14Speaker 2: stacked up top and man like athletic bude.
- 47:20Speaker 1: Because yeah, probably I would dabble. Smooth scale would dabble.
- 47:28Speaker 1: I've never seen this. I had the scales in my mind.
- 47:31Speaker 1: First of all this. She was all right with me, Hey,
- 47:36Speaker 1: you ain't gonna turn into nobody. I'll take your blue.
- 47:39Speaker 1: I'll take a blue. I take your blue.
- 47:40Speaker 2: Don't nobody look like you. The only person looked like
- 47:44Speaker 2: you was night crawling I ain't smashing.
- 47:46Speaker 1: No, he smells like sulfur. But I wouldn't want to
- 47:51Speaker 1: use that power man because staking but not crawling was here. Man,
- 47:55Speaker 1: that's my y'all know, that's how my stuff comes. A
- 47:58Speaker 1: crawler was in. That's basically musty. Sulfur smells terrible. And
- 48:04Speaker 1: every time you come, nigga, not over here. Y'all know,
- 48:07Speaker 1: y'all know I'm insecure about that.
- 48:09Speaker 2: If each teams with your girl, you walk in got
- 48:15Speaker 2: two times, and I know he was it because you
- 48:18Speaker 2: know he's gonna tell the port out. You're gonna say
- 48:23Speaker 2: something in German. Get the hell out of there. You're
- 48:25Speaker 2: gonna walk in.
- 48:25Speaker 1: And smell it. Send me those I'm gonna make that
- 48:27Speaker 1: a clip. Would you take down blueskins? Oh here smelling
- 48:33Speaker 1: like a paper meal? Okay, back to the movie tone?
- 48:38Speaker 1: Uh what else did I want to say about it?
- 48:43Speaker 1: I thought the theme was good. I like the theme,
- 48:47Speaker 1: like what they explored, you can't do by yourself. M
- 48:50Speaker 1: J helped him with the getting in himber. The right
- 48:54Speaker 1: punisher was necessary, the police, everybody played a role. You
- 48:58Speaker 1: can't do it alone. I was like, Okay, this is
- 49:01Speaker 1: a this is a good theme to explore for this
- 49:04Speaker 1: version of this Spider Man movie, because as a person,
- 49:10Speaker 1: and especially as a man, you who wants to protect
- 49:13Speaker 1: your friends and your girl, the villain always want to
- 49:16Speaker 1: go you having a say, it's like, man, I'm the problem.
- 49:19Speaker 1: If you just didn't know me, then you would be safe.
- 49:22Speaker 1: And I feel that, and I feel like I can
- 49:25Speaker 1: see myself trying to be like I'm just going home,
- 49:27Speaker 1: be by myself and just like focus on the work.
- 49:30Speaker 1: But you can't do it like you Your loved one's
- 49:34Speaker 1: gotta be in perennial danger. It's just that's just what
- 49:38Speaker 1: it is.
- 49:39Speaker 2: I can't. I can't protect everybody, just be out here
- 49:41Speaker 2: solo dolo. And still even when I do that, it still.
- 49:44Speaker 1: Don't it don't.
- 49:45Speaker 2: Might as well just I gotta try some people that
- 49:48Speaker 2: look you back. It's just like we willing to take
- 49:50Speaker 2: the risk.
- 49:51Speaker 1: And that's what it is. That's what love is. Like
- 49:54Speaker 1: I don't think most people want to be having super
- 49:57Speaker 1: villains always trying to kill them, but like, man, I
- 50:01Speaker 1: love you. It comes with the territory, comes with the territory.
- 50:04Speaker 1: Territory right now, where where do you think they go
- 50:09Speaker 1: from here? If you're if you're Marvel, What do you
- 50:11Speaker 1: think is next? Because you got it's the next Marvel movie, Doomsday.
- 50:19Speaker 2: I don't know what. I don't know what they got
- 50:20Speaker 2: in store for Doomsday. I haven't seen any of the visuals. Again, Yeah,
- 50:24Speaker 2: I don't know what I'm walking into. So that that
- 50:28Speaker 2: is probably going to determine where I would see, like
- 50:30Speaker 2: Spider Man going in the future in terms of the storyline,
- 50:33Speaker 2: wherever they're gonna go, because like the little end credit
- 50:36Speaker 2: scene that gave you nothing, it looked like he was
- 50:39Speaker 2: in and out of space.
- 50:40Speaker 1: But is that was that our Spider Man was a multiverse?
- 50:46Speaker 2: I assumed it was. Ours's what I think it is.
- 50:51Speaker 2: I think it's a Secret Wars tie in.
- 50:53Speaker 1: Oh for sure.
- 50:54Speaker 2: I thought that if they do, if they do the
- 50:56Speaker 2: Secret Wars premise from the comic back in the day where.
- 50:59Speaker 1: I don't know about Secret Wars, you got to put
- 51:01Speaker 1: me on.
- 51:01Speaker 2: So his Secret Wars there was this there was this
- 51:03Speaker 2: guy named the Beyonder and he he transported a bunch
- 51:08Speaker 2: of heroes and villains to a world and that he
- 51:11Speaker 2: created in space and they had to fight. So so
- 51:17Speaker 2: that's that's what Uh, that's what had me thinking, like, oh,
- 51:20Speaker 2: he got transported by the Beyonder. I don't know if
- 51:23Speaker 2: it's beyond know what they're gonna do, but like god,
- 51:25Speaker 2: if it's Secret Wards, that's where they ended up. And
- 51:28Speaker 2: so that's where he first got the Symbiant suit was
- 51:32Speaker 2: during Secret.
- 51:32Speaker 1: Wars Spider Man. Yeah, really, yeah, it was.
- 51:36Speaker 2: It was like issue number four or five in Secret
- 51:39Speaker 2: Wars because it was a limited series and he had that.
- 51:42Speaker 2: That's where he got the black suit. It was old snap.
- 51:45Speaker 1: He was like on the cover, I understood.
- 51:47Speaker 2: And this is before you know, they really tapped into
- 51:50Speaker 2: all the lure of the Symbian for real. He was, oh,
- 51:53Speaker 2: look at this.
- 51:53Speaker 1: New suit and that suit was fired Like yeah, yeah.
- 51:57Speaker 2: Spider Man looked doze it was. And then they started
- 51:59Speaker 2: going into the storyline with the actual suit and what
- 52:01Speaker 2: it was doing to him.
- 52:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I love that. So yeah, cartoon. I didn't catch
- 52:05Speaker 1: it the comic books, but they did the carco bat.
- 52:08Speaker 2: On the cartoon. But Secret Wars was dope. And so
- 52:11Speaker 2: if they are doing it like that and then we're
- 52:13Speaker 2: going to Battle World or whatever, that's probably why he
- 52:16Speaker 2: ended up in space. They just got.
- 52:19Speaker 1: Transported, okay, So as long as they're not multiversing it up.
- 52:21Speaker 1: I'm good.
- 52:22Speaker 2: Yeah, it wasn't the multiverse type of thing. I'm taking
- 52:25Speaker 2: all y'all here. And then Doctor Doune was trying to
- 52:27Speaker 2: plock and the harness.
- 52:29Speaker 1: This power not Doctor Doom. Man, you ain't seen the trailer.
- 52:32Speaker 2: I ain't seen nothing.
- 52:33Speaker 1: I'm not gonna tell you. Doctor Doom used to be
- 52:35Speaker 1: my favorite feeling, really I had. Doctor Doom was one
- 52:40Speaker 1: of the few toys my mom actually got me the
- 52:42Speaker 1: actual toy of Now I have nothing else but Doctor
- 52:46Speaker 1: dooman he had the helmet on Victor von Doom. I
- 52:49Speaker 1: was tapped in. So when they announced that, I was like.
- 52:53Speaker 2: Man, yes they do it, if they do them correctly, man.
- 52:56Speaker 1: And I think they might be back. I feel like
- 52:59Speaker 1: Marvel fun for a man in the right direction they have.
- 53:05Speaker 1: It's been some years they've been fumble McGee, but I
- 53:11Speaker 1: feel like the Spider Man movie was great. I've got
- 53:15Speaker 1: high hopes for Doomsday, even higher hopes for Secret Wards.
- 53:18Speaker 2: I think they just just scraped all series.
- 53:22Speaker 1: I think so.
- 53:23Speaker 2: I think I know we pissed off as Blacks because
- 53:26Speaker 2: they canceled Wonder Man. They can so, but I feel
- 53:29Speaker 2: like I don't want the one serious.
- 53:31Speaker 1: That's where I feel like they lost. They was doing
- 53:33Speaker 1: too much. It was too much to consume for the viewer.
- 53:38Speaker 1: They were not all well done enough to continue, but
- 53:42Speaker 1: the Tians were there, so I felt like it weakened.
- 53:46Speaker 1: It weakened the thing. I feel like, scrap do the series,
- 53:51Speaker 1: but it's not connected to what you're doing.
- 53:53Speaker 2: Like I did like what they were doing with Dar
- 53:55Speaker 2: Devil the Punisher, Jessica Jones, and I enjoyed Luke Cage too.
- 54:00Speaker 1: I like those series were fine, and that's because it's
- 54:03Speaker 1: not connected. Yeah, that wasn't really MCU though, No, that
- 54:06Speaker 1: was that.
- 54:07Speaker 2: Was you at the time. It felt different, so I
- 54:09Speaker 2: was really enjoying it once they started with Scarlet Witch
- 54:12Speaker 2: and Vision and then you know.
- 54:15Speaker 1: I didn't like that one though.
- 54:16Speaker 2: I did like it, but at first I was like, man,
- 54:18Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying. And then I started finding
- 54:19Speaker 2: myself just trailing off as I was watching it.
- 54:22Speaker 1: I was just on midway through episode three of so
- 54:25Speaker 1: many of those. I was like, all right, and I
- 54:27Speaker 1: got up enough to living, no no pause, no rewind,
- 54:31Speaker 1: just I got up and walked out of that Captain
- 54:35Speaker 1: America thing, Captain Falcon or whatever the Falcon is. Man,
- 54:40Speaker 1: I never thought about it again.
- 54:42Speaker 2: I got like I was watching stuff. It was just
- 54:45Speaker 2: no Moonnight. It was just like I was watching it,
- 54:47Speaker 2: but there was no real emotion.
- 54:49Speaker 1: No I was. I was like, I don't care.
- 54:51Speaker 2: And so it's just like, yo, man, just just do movies.
- 54:55Speaker 2: Just just cut the ship. So you know, even though
- 54:59Speaker 2: I enjoy wonder Man, wonder Man was good, and I'm
- 55:03Speaker 2: telling you it really, but I got I got enough
- 55:07Speaker 2: of him from that throw him in the movie. I'm invested.
- 55:10Speaker 2: Given me, if everybody had their own movie, I'm back
- 55:13Speaker 2: invested because I'm a watching movie.
- 55:15Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure, for sure, for sure.
- 55:16Speaker 2: Series though, man, you got you got the whole man.
- 55:20Speaker 1: It's hard to hold me yes. And I feel like
- 55:24Speaker 1: when you cancel a show after one season, I don't
- 55:27Speaker 1: even want to go if I missed it, I'm just like, oh,
- 55:29Speaker 1: y'all don't believe in it. I don't even feel like
- 55:31Speaker 1: going back and watching the point they said, get this
- 55:33Speaker 1: black stuff the hell out of here, Blade, wonder Man,
- 55:39Speaker 1: get get it off Blade.
- 55:40Speaker 2: I really can't fathom how they just are not doing it,
- 55:45Speaker 2: Like what are y'all thinking? And then the cool part
- 55:49Speaker 2: is the original writer director now him and maharschal, I got.
- 55:55Speaker 1: That movie coming out, Your Mother, Your Mother, Your Mother.
- 55:57Speaker 2: That proved because people are trying to trying to say
- 55:59Speaker 2: like it was Mrs he just getting decid. This proves
- 56:02Speaker 2: that it wasn't him.
- 56:03Speaker 1: And I'm I'm so glad for social media because twenty
- 56:07Speaker 1: years ago, thirty years ago, Mahershall wo had never been
- 56:10Speaker 1: able to correct this. But because of social media, he
- 56:13Speaker 1: was like, man, y'all had a billion dollars. If y'all
- 56:15Speaker 1: wanted to do blade, y'all would have. Because Kevin Faggy
- 56:18Speaker 1: was like, I feel like such a loser that I
- 56:20Speaker 1: wasn't able to get it, and Hershall was like, man,
- 56:22Speaker 1: watch y'au. If y'all y'all wanted to do it, y'all
- 56:25Speaker 1: would have done. It was seven years, they said.
- 56:29Speaker 2: I didn't even know it was that long. I never
- 56:30Speaker 2: felt that long because they teased him in the Eternals.
- 56:35Speaker 1: And twenty one and then they brought Wesley back in
- 56:38Speaker 1: the Deadpool Wolverine, so we were like okay, and it
- 56:43Speaker 1: was like they did Comic Con, they did the big announcement,
- 56:46Speaker 1: so I was like just waiting. Maybe it was Sinners.
- 56:51Speaker 1: Maybe when Sinners happened, they was like, all right, man,
- 56:53Speaker 1: man part of stuff. We ain't gonna do it better
- 56:54Speaker 1: than Ryan. Let's just move off it.
- 56:57Speaker 2: That would have made it pop even more.
- 56:59Speaker 1: Man, agreed Maharshler. Sam. I mean, I spent a year
- 57:02Speaker 1: and some change practicing the swords stuff, and I'm just
- 57:06Speaker 1: using it.
- 57:06Speaker 2: I was looking forward to seeing him as Blade. It
- 57:09Speaker 2: made me the cast and was fantastic.
- 57:11Speaker 1: Who was supposed to be in there. I don't know.
- 57:13Speaker 2: I don't know about just him, him his blade. I
- 57:16Speaker 2: was looking forward to that because he just looks cool.
- 57:19Speaker 1: He just looks cool.
- 57:21Speaker 2: And I can see him as as a daywalking vampire
- 57:24Speaker 2: human hybrid. Yes, you know what I'm saying. I think
- 57:30Speaker 2: it's not over with Mahershela.
- 57:33Speaker 1: Yeah, do you really think so?
- 57:35Speaker 2: I don't think it.
- 57:35Speaker 1: I don't think it's over over they go.
- 57:38Speaker 2: But I would love I would love to. I want
- 57:41Speaker 2: that movie My Mother, my Mother, my Mother. I want
- 57:43Speaker 2: that to do well. Yeah, I want everybody to load up.
- 57:48Speaker 2: Let's get that movie a high gross Marvel could be like, fuck,
- 57:56Speaker 2: I want that movie to load up because the movie
- 58:00Speaker 2: like that, it looks like it's it's probably gonna be gritty.
- 58:03Speaker 2: Movies like that generally don't do that much box office
- 58:07Speaker 2: for sure, especially if it's gonna be rated.
- 58:09Speaker 1: All. Yeah, they'll get there. We can go in there and.
- 58:11Speaker 2: Get them numbers brewing to a nice height because the budgets.
- 58:14Speaker 2: The budget is probably modest, Yeah for sure, So we
- 58:17Speaker 2: probably look at thirty forty million.
- 58:19Speaker 1: And I can't wait to Ryan picture.
- 58:21Speaker 2: So I know they ain't spending ring.
- 58:23Speaker 1: Ain't they already got there? If you come over here
- 58:27Speaker 1: on uh.
- 58:29Speaker 2: Boosters what they're Ryan to?
- 58:32Speaker 1: Nah? No, they're Neon. I think they're Neon. Okay, who
- 58:35Speaker 1: they get the bunkhet Orion?
- 58:37Speaker 2: Orion went out. They they went out of business.
- 58:40Speaker 1: That's why I felt like they was gone.
- 58:41Speaker 2: They was cracking in the eighties because RoboCop was Ryan. Yeah,
- 58:45Speaker 2: and then they just was taking al after al after
- 58:48Speaker 2: l So it was just like we're trying to come back.
- 58:51Speaker 2: Got is is Orion?
- 58:52Speaker 1: That's what it was. I was like, I just seen
- 58:54Speaker 1: the movie that was do well, No, did you see it?
- 58:57Speaker 2: That's all?
- 58:58Speaker 1: What do you think?
- 58:59Speaker 2: I like it? Yeah? I didn't love it, but I
- 59:01Speaker 2: liked it.
- 59:02Speaker 1: They're owned by Amazon that I was like, I know,
- 59:04Speaker 1: I just saw them. Yeah, they I'm sure they.
- 59:07Speaker 2: Not spending crazy brig and MGM is also involved, which
- 59:12Speaker 2: is another company to get his ass kid. So it's
- 59:16Speaker 2: two companies together, ass kick the enterprises coming together. So
- 59:21Speaker 2: I'm sure the budget is gonna be modest. We just
- 59:24Speaker 2: gotta show up and just put that money.
- 59:25Speaker 1: I'm gonna show up.
- 59:26Speaker 2: I don't care. I don't care what Ride Tomato say.
- 59:29Speaker 1: I need to see it for myself. I'll be there up,
- 59:32Speaker 1: I'm putting the money up. All right, let's rank them, tolle.
- 59:37Speaker 1: I want you to rank them because I can't think.
- 59:38Speaker 1: I can't separate them. Okay, if we're doing I want
- 59:41Speaker 1: you to rank all the Spider Man movies. I'm ranking
- 59:46Speaker 1: them by myself, by yourself, because I ain't gonna tell
- 59:48Speaker 1: you hold your tone. I can't separate band, New Day,
- 59:50Speaker 1: Old School Day, Homecoming, Homecoming, Return Man, Watch Out. There
- 59:54Speaker 1: is one big great movie. I can't tell you which,
- 59:57Speaker 1: which is who?
- 59:58Speaker 2: All right?
- 59:58Speaker 1: Tony Banker ranks all the Spider Man movies, including the
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: animated ones. Yes, let's do it.
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: All right, Coming in Last, Amazing Spider Man two, It's
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: coming in Last. They had good moments. The death of
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: Gwen Stacey hit hard. Yeah, but it was just a
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: case of too many villains doing too much Jamie crooked glasses.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: I about threw myself one through the screen. Well, I
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: fix your glasses, man, watch out. And I love Jamie Fox.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: I love Jamie f I don't blame Jamie, but I
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: hated that. Okay, so amazing.
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: Spider Man two just had too many, too many cons
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: on it to be any higher than anything else. So
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: I'm gonna put that last all right right above that.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: I'm gonna go Spider.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: Man three, and there you go.
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: This whole then and there that seems a loan might
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: have him put it at twenty even though it' even
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: nearly that manuye Spider Man movie. But I did like
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: elements of this one. I liked the Sandman element.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: Yeah, he was great.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: He was a great cast, Yes he was. His storyline
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: was great, the special effects was great. I liked the
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: fights that he had with Sam Man. But they completely
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: ship the bed with Venom. Copah Grace's Venom was a
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: bad casting.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: Eddie Brock is a big dude, big dude, it's his
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: whole thing.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: I didn't like the way Venom looked in that movie.
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: I didn't like his teeth when he was when the
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: when the Cymbia was separating and he talking with those teeth,
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: it was stupid. Just half his face be regular like
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: in the comic book when when the Symbia spreads out,
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: Eddie Brock standing in there talking regularly. He didn't have
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: no venom teeth. No, we I'm gonna separate off, but
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: I'm gonna you're gonna keep my teeth. Is not gonna
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: do that. Keep my teeth, man, keep my teeth. Stupid choice.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: I feel like Sam Raymy just sabotaged it because he
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: wasn't a fan of venom.
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: Yes, I did.
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: I did kind of like the Harry Osborne element, not Harry, Yeah, Harry,
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: Harry's the Son. I did kind of like that one,
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: but Spider Man three just had too many issues with
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: it for me to place it any higher. Next up,
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: I'm coming with Spider Man Far from Home. M that's
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: where the Spider Man was overseas he was fighting the
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: stereo Jay. Jonleenhall was fine as mysterio and some of
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: the some of the images was dope and far from Home,
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: but it didn't really stick with me.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: Like of the Spider Man the Tom Hollands, it was
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: the least of it didn't really stick with me like that.
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: It was fun, it was cool, and all these movies.
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: Man the Spider Man doesn't have a complete I hate
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: this movie. He just doesn't.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: No, no, no, I read that. I hate parts.
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: I hate parts of There's always something that's good or
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: I like Andrew Garfield the whole time. I like and
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: I never had any complaint on Andrew Garfield. I like
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: Emma Stona's when Stacy, but it was it was just
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: a villain issue and the story issue that so so
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: we got so we got last Amazing Spider Man two,
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: Spider Man three, Spider Man Far from Home. Next up,
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: I'm going I'll go. I guess uh Brenda Day, I'm
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: gonna go Amazing Spider Man Original Toby No Garfield. So
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: I'm gonna go Amazing Spider Man next. I like Andrew Garfield.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: The Lizard was a cool villain. I like how it
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: was just one villain. I like, I liked, I like
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: some of the I love Andrew Garfield's in costume work,
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: and he might still might be my favorite in costume.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: In costume was my favorite Toby was uh. I mean,
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: he just has a nostalgia and all that. But prior
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: to this before Tom took over. But I think in
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: costume Andrew Garfer he was a little moody, angst team angsty.
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: He was.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: He was Robert Pattinson and the Batman, but a Spider Man.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: But man, once he got he got the costume he
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: had was by fall the silliest one. And that's why
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: I like the most about Spider Man, Like he got
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: the silliness and the young and the sarcasti. Spider Man
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: is very sarcastic and funny for sure. And and and
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: he would he would like troll and piss off his villains.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: So that was part of his because he getting whooped,
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: so he would always keep them off their square by trolling.
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: I feel like Andrew Garfer did the best that. Yeah,
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: he was so good at that.
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: He was, So I'm gonna put that up next. Then
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: what numbers there?
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: So that's yeah, I think that's yeah. If you include
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: the animated it's eleven.
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: Okay, So so that's number was the seven. So eleven
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: is Amazing Spider Man, two, ten is Spider Man. Three,
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: nine is far from Home, so eight would be the
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: Amazing Spider Man. So number seven, there's still seven films.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: Least I'm gonna pull it up. Okay, it's it's one, two, three, four, five, six, seven,
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: eight nine. Yeah, it's eleven eleven.
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: So we're looking at number seven up next, yep, so
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: number seven. I'm gonna go with Spider Man home Coming. Okay,
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: that's the first one. That's the first one with Tom,
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: first one. Okay, so I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: with Spider Man Homecoming. I like I like Tom as
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: spider Man. A little too much iron Man for me.
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: Yeah, there was, there was. He was featured on the mixtape. Yeah,
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: there was, like we going heavily.
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: Yeah, it was too much iron Man.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: We're not sure about this and we needed to make
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: it work.
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: He is getting too much, you know, handouts, a little extra,
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: which is cool, and I'm just like.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: Man, I feel.
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: Spider Man out here in the streets, you know what
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: I'm saying. But I loved Michael Keaton as the Vulture.
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: He's my favorite. Uh, He's my favorite of the Tom
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: Holland universe because he was local Magee, very local meaning
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: that's a zip code villain, very local with valid beef,
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: with valid beef, and Michael Keaton was great. That's the
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: Vulture I was like, I like this low steaks, like
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: the stakes are high for Spider Man, but in the
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: scheme of the universe, very low. Everybody can't be a
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: vengance level. The world is ending, chords, cities are falling
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: like sometimes just that disgruntled employe.
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: And then that plid twist where yeah he was dating
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: his daughter. That was just there a scene in the car.
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: It's great fire. So I'm gonna go home coming. Okay,
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: all right, so number six, there's still that many Spider
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: Man let but I guess.
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: You got two more of the time, no, one more
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: of that time, one more time. Yeah, and you got
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: one more Toby and then you got the animated ones,
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: so I.
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: Should be on that should have been number five. Then
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: I just did No, I got two more Toby's two
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: more Toby and the first so number number So number six,
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: So number six is Spider Man first Toby. I'm gonna
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: go with Spider Man next. That just set the stage
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: for everything.
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: Still my favorite, Getting the Powers, Getting this Getting the
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: Powers was great. My favorite one him figuring everything out,
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: trying to learn everything like they did a little not
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: to that in this one when he was doing the
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: organic web, but they didn't stay in it long, but
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: I was like, that was a nice little non win. Yeah,
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: a little quick wing, a little quick win. Yeah.
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: I like the I like the friendship between him and Harry,
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: the dynamic between Harry and Norman, dynamic between Peter and Norman.
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: William Dafoe was absolutely bad perfect as the Green Goblin.
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: The mask on the hanging up one of my favorite means.
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: William Dufoe was fantastic the Green Goblin. And you know,
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: for it to just be the jump off period, it's
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: still dope.
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: Yeah, that was good.
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: I've never been a fan of the mask of Green
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: Goblin because it's just so stationary, but.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: It was so good when it was talking to him,
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: it felt like it had a little bit of character
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: because it was already like molded. So he's like, and
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: I like the Green in the cartoon. I love the Hobgoblin,
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: Green Goblin. I never loved those characters. I loved the
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: glider aspect and all the like pumpkins and all that stuff,
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: and using the glider. I was like, this is a
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: cool villains. Spider Man villains were always interesting to me.
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: Spider Man has some of the best villains in Marvel
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: X Men two because Green Goblin is different Spider Man. Yes,
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: there's no.
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: I don't like that. We got the same power hours
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: all the time.
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: They do that later on with Venom, and I do
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: love Venom, but Green Gotland is just different. I like that.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: Yeah, it's just like even when he one of my.
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: Favorite Spider Man villains is Doctor Octopus though it's great,
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: but uh but yeah, spider Man, Spider Man. Next. Alright,
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: so we were number five.
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: Now the numbers are throwing me off. Okay, yeah, five left.
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: I got five left, so now we're in the top five.
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: Okay, how you got five left?
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: So we got the two animated? We got no, that
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: was number five?
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: Yeah, four left, four left. Man, I'm having an aneurysm.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: I don't even know how you're keeping Spider Man two.
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: We still got the two animated, and we got brand
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: new days. Yeah four, So all right, so that was
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: number five. Yes, okay, next up, I'm gonna go with
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: I'm gonna go with what's the name of the second
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: animated across the cross the Spider versus. I would say
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: I would put that in forward.
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: You got a brand new day above the animated.
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: Yeah, simply because it was so much going on and
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: across the Spider Verse that I was getting overwhelmed a
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: lot of the times. It was just visually and just
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: like the powers that he was fighting against. I was
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: just like, Yo, this is this is crazy. It was
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: just an overload of stuff going.
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: On that that's crazy. Yeah. I was into and across
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: are one two for me. Oh They're they're great though, Yeah,
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: but did I will? I disagree with you on the order,
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: but I do agree with you. You had the spot guy,
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: you had the internal villain. It was a lot. It
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: was a lot. It was over and then you also
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: had Miles Morales and on the other side, who was
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: kind of like the final the Act three villain with
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: the corn Rows, which is a good satur I was
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: overloaded though, I was just like open.
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: It was great though, it was great, but I was
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: just like a little bit overwhelmed with everything that was
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: going on.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: I was just damn man, all right, all right? But
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: I loved it though.
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: Then I'm gonna go you did Far from Home?
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: Yeah, Far from Home was like, okay, got you, got you?
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: So then I'm gonna go, uh, brand new Day, Brand
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: new Day is next man, because brand new Day, Man
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: I don't have a lot of notes, man, Any notes
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: I would have would just be super nitpicky. The story
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: was easy to follow. The stakes were, Lord, did you
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: do no way Home? That's what's missing.
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel like you didn't do no wy So.
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: I just said number five, no way home. There you go.
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: Number five is no way home. Who's the feeling no
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: way home?
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, everybody, everybody, everything. So it was
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: a lot.
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: It was a cheat code re Spider Man.
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: No Way Home is the cheat code?
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: Yeah, but you know sometimes you chat the win, but the.
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: Cheat code paid off for sure. Everything and everything in
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: this top five is top tier. Yeah, I'm gonna go
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: no Way Home because it was just it was a
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: lot going on. Again, but a lot going on. Green
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: Goblin was fantastic.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: Yeah again, Yeah. Great.
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: In the midst of everything that was going on, he
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: was like, I'm about to steal this whole goddamn movie
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: and the whole the whole scene the Spider Man together
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: was was great.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: It was so good.
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: But that multiverse stuff, man, we was multiverse.
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: I feel like we were multiverse exhausted. It was everything
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: was multiverse, and the series we were watching was multiverse.
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: I was multiverse out. I was multi verse out.
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: And that's that's why I have to do Across the
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: Spider Verse, because it's more of that. Now we got
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: these Spider Man from different you know, verses coming in
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: Man Overlook.
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: But see that one was good because it was. But
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: what I liked about that one is they kind of
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: tricked me because I didn't realize what was happening the
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: mom and he didn't realize he was in a different Earth.
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: But I get you if you knock it, I don't agree,
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: but I understand. It was just like Rodney King at
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: that time, ten years later, ten years before probably doesn't nothing.
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: I'm sorry, not Rodney King. OJ's trial happening right after
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: Rodney King was like that timing helped OJ. The multiverse
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: timing hurt this movie because everything was multiverse. Everywhere you look,
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: it was multiverse multiverse. It's like the office start of
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: the documentary. It was great. Then everything became a documentary
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: and it was like, Okay, now I'm tired of this.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: Even though Parks and rec was good, it's just like,
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: all right.
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: Spider Verse is fantastic, but it's great and it feels incomplete. Yeah,
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: it feels incomplete. You get dang for feeling incomplete, but
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: I just love those two. Man, you don't really get
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: dang for feeling incomplete all the time, because I feel
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: like Infinity War is like my favorite movie. Yeah that's incomplete,
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: but the but the cliffhanger, just the cliffhanger in Infinity
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: War felt final.
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: Well, the other part about it is the follow up
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: happened quicker. The third Spider Verse movie was supposed to
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: come out the next March. We still we're we are
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: losing a little bit of a luster in time. I
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: feel like Infinity War felt like the middle part of
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: two movies, but with like complete end. Oh we lost,
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: and it picks right back up and then they call
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: it the next summer. So it felt like, oh we
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: and then it delivered. So across it it was a
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: big incomplete and.
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: Big cliffhanger, big cliff and.
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: It's been it's been a minute.
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: Because because Infinity War, that's the end. Yeah, even though
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: it's a cliffhanger, because we know something else is coming.
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: Thamos completed his mission for sure. If you never saw that,
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: the next movie movie could have ended there.
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: If y'all lost, it would just been a movie where
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: the heroes lose the hero's loss.
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, so Infinity War felt more complete. This is
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: this is pure cliffhanger. Yes, all right. So so that's
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: for across the Spider Verse and then Brand New Day.
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: M hmm. I'm putting Brand New Day ahead of Across
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: the Spider Verse just because it was just it was
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: easier for me to sit into. Uh, we already talked
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: about Brand New Day, so I don't need to go back.
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: Also, fourth, the fourth sequel being your favorite is really
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: good movie making. It's usually sequels drop. Oh for sure.
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: I think they got the benefit of good movies, and
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: then the weight of those movies makes the fourth one
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: of a good movie.
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: The only only other franchise be like mayn four is
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: my favorite, be like Rocky Rocky.
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: Rocky four is a lot of people's favorite.
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: Fast five is my favorite, Fast and Furious.
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: And that's the fourth movie.
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: That's that's a fit, is it? Yeah?
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: Where do they get the numbers wrong? Fast nine was
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: ten or something.
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: It's Fast five, Fast and Furious six, Fast Furious seven,
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: Fast eight fate. Well, Favorite Furious was eight f nine
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: and then Fast X is ten.
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: Oh no, they did get right. I'm tripping Bad.
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: Boys is the one that fumble bad Boys for life.
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: Was That's what it was. That was right there.
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: All right, Number two, I'm gonna go with Spider Man two.
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: Spider Man two is still edged out as my favorite
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: live action Spider Man movie. The stakes are are local, localized.
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: It's just doc Doc. Doc was a great villain, great story,
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: great purpose form. You feel bad for them, but at
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: the same time, it's just like yo, man, Yeah, you
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: have to stop man. The stakes were there, the fights
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: were fantastic.
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: So I think Spider Man two is is still fire.
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: Okay, So for the clip, give me him in order.
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: Do you need to write them down because I need
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: to be under three minutes. Give me a little piece
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: of just for the clip. So my my bottom of
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: the top, bottom of the top, don't forget you need
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: to write it down. You got it, I got it?
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: Like in all right, Tony Baker is gonna rank all
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: eleven Spider Man movies in order from eleven to one
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: after seeing Brand New Day go.
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: All right, so number eleven, I'm going with The Amazing
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: Spider Man too. It was just too many cooks in
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: the kitchen. It was just all over the place. I
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: loved Andrew Garfield though, So that's last. Coming in at
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: number ten, I'm gonna go Spider Man. Three. They fumbled
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: the ball, they fumbled Venom, this dark corny Peter Parker
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: was just absolute ass. It was an ass choice. It
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: was just crim City. I hated that choice, but I
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: like saying Man and Venom was terrible. All right. So
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: coming in at nine spider Man Far from Home, Spider
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: Man in London fighting mysterio, cool visuals like j gillen Hall.
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: But it didn't stick with me for some reason. Yes,
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: number eight, I am going with Spider Man. What did
- 1:18:47Speaker 2: I say? Number eight? Was?
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: Was it Homecoming?
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: No? It was I did far from Home. The next
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: up number eight is oh.
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: The other Andrew Garfield one an.
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: Amazing Spider Man. I gotta put that next. Andrew Garfield's debut.
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: I liked them a Stone, I like the Lizard, I
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: like this is my favor, one of my favorite entries.
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: And Spider Man in costume.
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: Yes, I feel like he nailed it.
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: Yes, that's eight. Number seven, I'm going home coming, Spider
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: Man Homecoming. This is Tom Holland's debut. I love the Vulture.
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: I love Michael Keaton. In this Tom Holland did this thing.
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: Of course, too much iron Man.
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: Too much iron Man. They needed They want to make
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: sure we had a good a good leading, for sure,
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: I get it.
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: But keeping Spidery in the borough. That's seven, right. So
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: number six Spider Man from two thousand and two is
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: that when it came out first, the first told we
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: Spider Man Green Goland was great. William Dufold's great roll.
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: I like James Franco's Harry, that whole dynamic. It was
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: a good time. It was classic. It was it was
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: eternal with the time to be alive. Kicked it up.
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: It didn't really kick it all off because Blade kicked
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: it all off.
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: Don't forget that. We remember you, Wesley. Spider Man just
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: took it to another level.
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: Yea, all right. Five the Big five Spider Man Far
- 1:20:22Speaker 2: from Home is next, multi verse crazy, you know, cheat CODs,
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: all the Spider Man coming together. It was great. It
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: was monumentals. It was a great experience in the movie theater.
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: William Dufoe eight once again.
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: Yeah, and it was it was great.
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: It was a cheat code, but it was dope.
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: They nailed it.
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: Number four Spider Man across the Spider Verse I loved it,
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: but it was a lot going on. I was overwhelmed,
- 1:20:50Speaker 2: not only the animation, animation style of all the different
- 1:20:53Speaker 2: Spider Man and women, and its just stuff going on.
- 1:20:56Speaker 2: My head exploded, my nose blood and it left us hang.
- 1:21:00Speaker 2: It left us truly hanging, not like an Infinity ward.
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: We're still hanging to this day. So that's number four.
- 1:21:07Speaker 2: Number three Spider Man Brand New Day. I liked the
- 1:21:10Speaker 2: scale back, I liked the steaks. I liked what Peter
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: was going through. I like how he sat in what
- 1:21:15Speaker 2: he had to deal with from the previous entry. I
- 1:21:19Speaker 2: liked the Punisher in there. I like the Hulk in there.
- 1:21:21Speaker 2: I liked the villain and what was going on. And
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: so Spider Man Brand New Day is in there. Number
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: two Spider Man too, Doc God Spidery localized smaller steaks,
- 1:21:33Speaker 2: but they were still big steaks within New York City,
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: within Spider Man's wheelhouse. They didn't have to do too much.
- 1:21:40Speaker 2: The universe wasn't at stake, it wasn't all kind of
- 1:21:42Speaker 2: Moltile verses going on. It was a small central lost
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: story with a dope ass villain and dope fights. And
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: then number one Spider Man into the Spider Verse, the
- 1:21:54Speaker 2: debut of Miles Morales, the animation, the fact that it
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: was this good going up against stiff Spider Man live
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: action competition was just fantastic, and the animation was unique
- 1:22:07Speaker 2: and dope, and like visually it was just like it
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: was nothing we've seen before. And the Jordan Ones is hidden,
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: Jordan wh Ones is hidden, untied.
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: Be who you are? That one scene where he jumped
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: off and it was upside down. I said, man, y'all
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: killing this? Yeah, y'all killing.
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: This And to be that good and somebody does not
- 1:22:31Speaker 2: Peter Parker as much as we love Spider Man and
- 1:22:33Speaker 2: Peter Parker, yes, for Miles Morales to get this much
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: love out the gate is just fantastic.
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: Nuclear black family. Maybe the uncle's into some crime. Okay,
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: you can't be everybody.
- 1:22:44Speaker 2: In the gray areas. Man, I just thought this movie
- 1:22:47Speaker 2: was dope.
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: So that's where you go, all right. If you have
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: a different ranking, that's great because you got your own brain.
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: Put it in the comments below. This is the Bob
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: Brothers Podcast. We'll be here weekly. We're gonna be doing
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: this weekly on the Tuesdays. Gonna be either a new
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: movie something streaming or movie news. Me and Tony will
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: put something together that's new and fresh, and Thursdays will
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: be some more of like rewatch movies, the old format
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: we did. We'll figure it out on Thursdays, but we're
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: gonna work really hard. The only thing that will stop
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: us from having a new movie thing on Tuesday is
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: if me and Tony are both on the road, But
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: usually Tuesdays we're both back home, so we're shooting something.
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: We'll throw something else, but for the most part, our
