- 0:41Speaker 4: away from Madison Square Garden, New York City. Blessed to

- 0:51Speaker 4: too much, cop I see through for me tonight. And
- 0:54Speaker 4: this is the Monday night edition of This is America.
- 0:56Speaker 4: I am Rich Valdez, and we're about to kick off
- 0:58Speaker 4: our late night national town hall conversation. I want you
- 1:01Speaker 4: to join us with your opinions eight seven seven Valdes
- 1:04Speaker 4: one eight seven seven eight two five three three seven
- 1:07Speaker 4: to one. And give me your thoughts on whatever you'd like, honestly,
- 1:10Speaker 4: what we're talking about, anything you'd like to add, I'm
- 1:12Speaker 4: happy to hear what you have to say, and of
- 1:14Speaker 4: course answer any questions you might have, and we always
- 1:18Speaker 4: do that on open phone in America. It's one of
- 1:20Speaker 4: the most interactive things I've ever done in my career,
- 1:23Speaker 4: and we continue that tradition here. Traditions started buying the
- 1:27Speaker 4: link Great Larry King, by the way, which I always
- 1:30Speaker 4: hold in high esteem. Now, like I said, may the
- 1:33Speaker 4: fourth be with you? And why do I keep saying that, Well,
- 1:35Speaker 4: because tomorrow Sink with the Io and sinc with the
- 1:36Speaker 4: Mayo is my birthday, so I like to celebrate with
- 1:40Speaker 4: all of my amigos all across the country, all over
- 1:42Speaker 4: the world. Now, honestly, we have a worldwide distribution of
- 1:44Speaker 4: this program and have been charting in different areas around
- 1:48Speaker 4: the globe, so I'm always happy about that. And I
- 1:51Speaker 4: want to start off with saying there were shots fired
- 1:53Speaker 4: at the White House, Spirit airlines cease to operate, and
- 1:57Speaker 4: Synthcom is fact checking the Iranians, so a little bit
- 2:01Speaker 4: of chaos. To get the blood boiling, the Secret Service
- 2:05Speaker 4: engaged an armed man near the White House on Monday today,
- 2:09Speaker 4: in what turned into a shootout that left the suspect
- 2:12Speaker 4: and a juvenile bystander injured. According to the Secret Service spokesperson,
- 2:16Speaker 4: the incident unfolded a few blocks just south of White
- 2:19Speaker 4: House Grounds, along the National Mall and near the Washington
- 2:23Speaker 4: Monument when Plain Closed agents on patrol identified a suspicious
- 2:27Speaker 4: individual that appeared to have a firearm, Secret Service Deputy
- 2:31Speaker 4: Director Matthew Quinn said, Quinn saying, after spotting the visual
- 2:41Speaker 4: print of a firearm on the suspect, Plain Closed agents
- 2:43Speaker 4: called in support from uniform Secret Service police. Upon making contact,
- 2:48Speaker 4: the individual fled briefly on foot, withdrew the firearm and
- 2:51Speaker 4: fired in direction of the Secret Service agents. Secret Service
- 2:54Speaker 4: officers return fire and struck the suspect, who was transported
- 2:57Speaker 4: to a local hospital. They believe only one bystander was
- 3:01Speaker 4: hit by the suspect when he shot, Quinn said, noting
- 3:05Speaker 4: that the juvenile sustained non life threatening injuries and was
- 3:08Speaker 4: being treated at the hospital. So thankfully this wasn't worse
- 3:11Speaker 4: right it could have been. It could have been a nightmare.
- 3:14Speaker 4: But El Trompezo was inside the White House, you know,
- 3:18Speaker 4: holding it down conducting a business forum, small business summit actually,
- 3:23Speaker 4: and he decided to troll the media a little bit.
- 3:27Speaker 4: You know, they gets the light in the mood. And
- 3:29Speaker 4: listen to how long he's going to be in office?
- 3:30Speaker 4: Check this out.
- 3:31Speaker 6: I was going to make it for a one year period.
- 3:33Speaker 6: That would mean you spend all your money immediately. Now,
- 3:36Speaker 6: unfortunately I gave you too much time. I was sort
- 3:39Speaker 6: of against that. I said, let's do it for a
- 3:40Speaker 6: short period of time. But we did it. It's a
- 3:43Speaker 6: right thing. And this way, when I get out of
- 3:46Speaker 6: office in let's say eight or nine years from now,
- 3:51Speaker 6: I'll be able to use it. I'll be able to
- 3:53Speaker 6: use it myself.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Going to that's great, you got to I love l
- 3:59Speaker 4: trompezo I love his I love that he's constantly trolling
- 4:03Speaker 4: and doing what he does. This is to me, it's important.
- 4:06Speaker 4: It's an important part of keeping the media in check. Now,
- 4:09Speaker 4: ed Trumpito. He went on to talk about cognitive tests.
- 4:13Speaker 4: Listen to this one.
- 4:14Speaker 6: Nobody's going to get all thirty questions correct, nobody, because
- 4:19Speaker 6: when you get to those last questions, they're pretty hard.
- 4:22Speaker 6: You got to be pretty sharp. But every time so
- 4:24Speaker 6: I've taken three no president, think of this has ever
- 4:28Speaker 6: taken one. How do you think Biden would have done?
- 4:31Speaker 4: I don't think he might not have.
- 4:33Speaker 6: Gotten that first question right anyway, and Obama would have
- 4:37Speaker 6: done poorly. I think they would have done very poorly.
- 4:40Speaker 6: But I think you should have it. As soon as
- 4:43Speaker 6: they said that, they say it's unconstitutional, and they said why.
- 4:47Speaker 6: They say it's unconstitutional to give a cognitive test like that,
- 4:51Speaker 6: But Rick, I do it anytime they start getting a
- 4:53Speaker 6: little sassy, and you know, it quiets him down for
- 4:55Speaker 6: almost a year when they hear the result. One doctor said,
- 5:00Speaker 6: so the first time I've ever seen anyone get all
- 5:03Speaker 6: questions right.
- 5:05Speaker 7: That's a doctor.
- 5:06Speaker 4: That's that's a doctor. How do you not enjoy that? Anyway?
- 5:10Speaker 4: He's talking. You heard him say, Rick. There, he's talking
- 5:12Speaker 4: to Rick Harrison, the star of Pawn Stars, the show
- 5:16Speaker 4: about the pawn shop. And he brought him up to
- 5:19Speaker 4: say a few words, and he said a few very
- 5:21Speaker 4: very nice things that I'll play for you. Just because
- 5:24Speaker 4: I met Harrison years ago backstage at seapack end, I
- 5:27Speaker 4: think he's a heck of a guy.
- 5:28Speaker 8: Listened to this, you know, usually I had like announcement
- 5:31Speaker 8: at rallies and they give you like three minutes notice
- 5:33Speaker 8: and I can't come up with a speech, and La
- 5:35Speaker 8: like literally just told me a couple hours ago to
- 5:37Speaker 8: take a little speaking. I just want to say, he's amazing.
- 5:40Speaker 8: He's done so much, I mean so much for all
- 5:43Speaker 8: of us. I mean, the backbone of this country is
- 5:45Speaker 8: small business, playing and simple. And the last guy at office,
- 5:50Speaker 8: all he you know, all we heard was is that
- 5:52Speaker 8: we were the evil people. We were the bad people.
- 5:54Speaker 8: Everything else like that we don't pay our fair share
- 5:56Speaker 8: whatever that's supposed to be.
- 5:59Speaker 2: And he made it tough.
- 6:00Speaker 8: And this guy, the big beautiful Bill, absolutely amazing, you
- 6:03Speaker 8: know what I mean. God, bless you for letting me
- 6:06Speaker 8: get one appreciation. It really helps out. And all I
- 6:10Speaker 8: can say is this is literally I mean I'm a
- 6:12Speaker 8: history buff and I know a lot about this White House,
- 6:14Speaker 8: think and everything. Literally, he's gonna go down as maybe
- 6:17Speaker 8: the best president ever.
- 6:18Speaker 4: I love this guy. That's done.
- 6:24Speaker 9: Well.
- 6:25Speaker 5: Wow.
- 6:26Speaker 4: I agree with that. You have more on Trump get
- 6:29Speaker 4: I'll play the end of it.
- 6:32Speaker 9: Wow.
- 6:33Speaker 6: I'm glad we didn't tell you because actually that was
- 6:36Speaker 6: much better than when you're fully prepared, when he comes
- 6:39Speaker 6: up fully prepared. No, that was great. Thank you very much.
- 6:43Speaker 4: Trump is always trolling. Just like the other day, what
- 6:45Speaker 4: he tells the guy from NASA, Oh, you listen so
- 6:48Speaker 4: well because you have those big, beautiful ears. And then
- 6:51Speaker 4: the cameras zoom's in on the guy and he's got
- 6:52Speaker 4: these huge ears and the guy says, you know whatever
- 6:55Speaker 4: he said. It was just so funny. I always appreciate
- 6:58Speaker 4: President Trump's humor. I think it's it's important, it's necessary,
- 7:01Speaker 4: it helps, it's part of the stick, right, It's part
- 7:03Speaker 4: of the whole thing that he delivers. Anyway, again, that
- 7:08Speaker 4: was the report that some shots were fired. And you know,
- 7:11Speaker 4: Trump takes all this stuff in stride, he really does.
- 7:15Speaker 4: But somebody who doesn't take it in stride is the
- 7:17Speaker 4: judge that was adjudicating that case with the would be assassin,
- 7:22Speaker 4: mister Cole Allen, and he took it upon himself to
- 7:26Speaker 4: apologize to the alleged assassin today in court. Listen to
- 7:30Speaker 4: this wild report.
- 7:32Speaker 10: He's been put on suicide watch by the Department of Corrections.
- 7:35Speaker 10: And the judge was asking why. An attorney for the
- 7:38Speaker 10: government said that he was put on suicide watch because
- 7:41Speaker 10: he told FBI agents The Knight of the White House
- 7:43Speaker 10: Correspondence dinner attack that he didn't expect to survive, and
- 7:48Speaker 10: his language suggested that he really was not expecting to
- 7:51Speaker 10: survive his trip to Washington, DC and the ultimate incident
- 7:55Speaker 10: where he allegedly showed up with a weapon to try
- 7:58Speaker 10: and assassinate present in Trump. He's been charged with that crime,
- 8:02Speaker 10: but the judge very concerned about his constitutional rights, saying
- 8:06Speaker 10: the defendant has requested a bible, has requested meetings with
- 8:10Speaker 10: his legal team, and that has not been allowed. He's
- 8:12Speaker 10: been put in restrictive twenty four hour lockup with no
- 8:16Speaker 10: windows in a padded room, without an opportunity to get
- 8:19Speaker 10: out for recreation. And so the judge making it clear
- 8:23Speaker 10: to the Department of Corrections that he wants answers by
- 8:26Speaker 10: tomorrow morning about exactly what the housing determination will be
- 8:30Speaker 10: made for the suspect in this case out of grave
- 8:33Speaker 10: concern about his constitutional rights, and that apology issued near
- 8:37Speaker 10: the end of the hearing, and so quite a moment
- 8:39Speaker 10: just moments ago in federal court. Bottom line, the Department
- 8:44Speaker 10: of Correction said they wanted to make sure that he survived,
- 8:46Speaker 10: that this is a high profile case, and all involved
- 8:49Speaker 10: acknowledged it is a high profile case. But again the
- 8:53Speaker 10: judge concerned about the treatment he's gotten since he was
- 8:56Speaker 10: arrested after the White House Correspondence Dinner shooting, and Sander
- 9:00Speaker 10: Beck to.
- 9:01Speaker 11: You, a lot of my people might be shocked by that,
- 9:04Speaker 11: Like the judge apologized to this guy who's a killer.
- 9:09Speaker 11: If he had gotten enough, he would have sprayed the
- 9:13Speaker 11: whole audience in the Correspondence Center. I mean, we would
- 9:16Speaker 11: have just sprayed him and killed god knows how many,
- 9:19Speaker 11: and then would have marched up and taken a shot
- 9:22Speaker 11: over the whole audience at the president. We're apologizing to
- 9:26Speaker 11: this guy.
- 9:27Speaker 4: I don't get that. Yeah, I don't get it either. Again,
- 9:30Speaker 4: that's Larry KUDLOWO winging on that Fox report, and these
- 9:34Speaker 4: are the things that happened. Now I'm going to go
- 9:35Speaker 4: out on a limb and say that this is not
- 9:39Speaker 4: a judge that votes for Republicans. And I hate to
- 9:43Speaker 4: politicize things, but it's just so clear Democrats truly seem
- 9:47Speaker 4: to hate America and love any type of criminal they can.
- 9:51Speaker 4: If you're a criminal, if you hate this country, they
- 9:54Speaker 4: love you, and they will defend you, whether you're Kilmar
- 9:57Speaker 4: Obrego Garcia, whether you're Vladimir Putin, doesn't matter, doesn't matter
- 10:00Speaker 4: who you are, whether you're the Iranians, right, they will
- 10:02Speaker 4: literally do the dirty work to defend absolutely anybody. James Comy,
- 10:07Speaker 4: you name it. It's honestly, it's I'm gonna say it's sickening,
- 10:12Speaker 4: but that might be too easy. All right, we heard
- 10:16Speaker 4: that one already, Thank you. All right, let us continue.
- 10:21Speaker 4: What's next on the hit parade here? Oh we've got
- 10:26Speaker 4: Spirit Airlines. Spirit Airlines pulling the ultimate disappearing act. The
- 10:29Speaker 4: budget carrier that used to pack planes tighter than my
- 10:33Speaker 4: well I's leftovers just ceased operations.
- 10:36Speaker 7: Yep, just like that.
- 10:36Speaker 4: On Saturday morning, three am, they said no to be
- 10:38Speaker 4: outther we od of here, stranding thousands of passengers across
- 10:41Speaker 4: the country. One of those my nephew. He was flying
- 10:44Speaker 4: to Florida and he got stuck out there. I eventually
- 10:46Speaker 4: made his way, but no more flights, no more customer service,
- 10:49Speaker 4: all gone. People scrambling to rebook ay indeed though they're screwed.
- 10:54Speaker 4: So if you're one of those stuck somewhere with a
- 10:56Speaker 4: canceled ticket, my heart goes out to you. We'll talk
- 10:58Speaker 4: about what this means for travel and why cheap fears
- 11:00Speaker 4: sometimes come with big headaches, and I think you could
- 11:04Speaker 4: balance this right. If the United States government buy Spirit
- 11:06Speaker 4: Airlines and gets it back on track and then sells
- 11:09Speaker 4: it for a profit and uses that profit towards the
- 11:12Speaker 4: Sovereign Wealth Fund or towards the Treasury, America would be
- 11:15Speaker 4: making money that would be offsetting our tax bill. And
- 11:19Speaker 4: you tell me a president before this one that's ever
- 11:21Speaker 4: suggested even doing things like that. But I'm curious to
- 11:25Speaker 4: see how that's going to play out, So we'll talk
- 11:26Speaker 4: about that in a moment. Of course, US Central Command,
- 11:29Speaker 4: as I mentioned before, had to play fact checker again
- 11:31Speaker 4: with the Iranians shooting their latest claims at US, saying
- 11:35Speaker 4: that they hit American warships in the region. Sentcom came
- 11:39Speaker 4: out swinging saying no US Navy ships were struck, and
- 11:44Speaker 4: you know, coming, you know, with the receipts and all that,
- 11:47Speaker 4: because you have to with these guys. They like to
- 11:49Speaker 4: make up stories, play videos of things that aren't and
- 11:51Speaker 4: say they are. And of course I like to keep
- 11:55Speaker 4: it as focused as I can on what's going on
- 11:59Speaker 4: in the news right now, so as things develop in
- 12:02Speaker 4: those stories that we're talking about, I will bring you
- 12:04Speaker 4: the news on those things, and we're going to continue
- 12:07Speaker 4: with the Spirit Airline stuff. I also have some stuff
- 12:10Speaker 4: that I want to talk about about Tim Wall sixteen
- 12:12Speaker 4: pedophiles caught over the weekend as well in a sting operation.
- 12:16Speaker 4: Todd Blanche firing back on yesterday's Sunday Shows, saying that
- 12:21Speaker 4: there is more to this indictment than just the seashells.
- 12:26Speaker 4: I can't wait for that. And of course, my thoughts
- 12:28Speaker 4: and prayers are with America's Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Rudy Giuliani
- 12:33Speaker 4: over the weekend was hospitalized, I think just late last
- 12:35Speaker 4: night actually, and my thoughts my prayers are with him.
- 12:40Speaker 4: His spokespeople say he's a critical condition. I've known Mayor
- 12:44Speaker 4: Giuliani for probably since two thousand and four, and I
- 12:50Speaker 4: can tell you that, and worked with him since twenty
- 12:54Speaker 4: nineteen or twenty twenty, and I can tell you that
- 12:58Speaker 4: he's a stand up guy. This man is a fighter.
- 13:00Speaker 4: He's that old school, you know, that old stock, like
- 13:04Speaker 4: like my dad, those type of you know, macho develda
- 13:07Speaker 4: as they would say. So I thought some prayers that
- 13:10Speaker 4: Mayor Rudy Giuliani, his family and of course his medical
- 13:13Speaker 4: team as he fights through this one and there is
- 13:16Speaker 4: more to come. Straight ahead, keep it locked right here.
- 13:18Speaker 4: I'm Rich Valdez.
- 13:20Speaker 5: This is America, This is America. He's got the best
- 13:45Speaker 5: head of hair and podcasting. This is America with Rich Valdez.
- 13:52Speaker 4: All right, media, welcome back. It is rich Valdes Valdez
- 13:55Speaker 4: with an that's that Rich Valdek. On all of the
- 13:57Speaker 4: social media. I hope you're following me on True Social,
- 13:59Speaker 4: on Instagram, on Facebook, on all of the other places
- 14:02Speaker 4: you can follow me. Make sure you follow our rumble page,
- 14:05Speaker 4: Rich valdest This is America, as well as on YouTube
- 14:08Speaker 4: and all the other places. Anyway, I want to get
- 14:11Speaker 4: into what happened over the weekend because Saturday morning, a
- 14:13Speaker 4: lot of people woke up to no more Spirit Airlines.
- 14:16Speaker 4: Now listen, I used to have a girlfriend at Fort Lauderdale.
- 14:18Speaker 4: I used to go on Spirit Airlines. There was a
- 14:20Speaker 4: time where the regular price and this wasn't that long ago,
- 14:24Speaker 4: maybe six seven years ago, the regular price for a
- 14:30Speaker 4: round trip ticket from Newark Airport to Fort Lauderdale was
- 14:35Speaker 4: ninety nine bucks. Steadily went up to one forty nine,
- 14:40Speaker 4: but when it went on sale, forty nine bucks round trip.
- 14:43Speaker 4: So I mean, it was great. I was going almost
- 14:45Speaker 4: every weekend or three times a month. I was spending
- 14:48Speaker 4: weekends in Florida. It was great back when things were
- 14:50Speaker 4: a little cheaper, you know, during the first Trump administration,
- 14:54Speaker 4: thank you, and now not so much. Rates have gone up.
- 14:58Speaker 4: They start charging you for everything. Do you breathe too
- 15:00Speaker 4: many times on a Spirit Airlines flight? And guess what
- 15:03Speaker 4: they're charging you for that? Well, they not only ran
- 15:06Speaker 4: it so poorly, but it was evident in how they
- 15:08Speaker 4: did it right. There were constantly fights on these airlines.
- 15:11Speaker 4: There was always some sort of drama going on. And
- 15:14Speaker 4: lo and behold this Saturday morning, you get a report
- 15:19Speaker 4: a press conference from Secretary Duffy, the Secretary of Transportation
- 15:23Speaker 4: formerly of the Real World on MTV, and Secretary Duffy
- 15:27Speaker 4: explaining to the public what had gone on. Listen to
- 15:30Speaker 4: this why are we here today?
- 15:33Speaker 9: There was a proposed merger between Jet Blue and Spirit
- 15:38Speaker 9: and Joe Biden and peepoota judge along with the Biden
- 15:42Speaker 9: DOJ decided that they did not want that merger to
- 15:46Speaker 9: take place, and at the time the Biden and Buddha
- 15:50Speaker 9: judge DJ bragged and said as they canceled the option
- 15:54Speaker 9: for this merger, that this was a victory for US
- 15:57Speaker 9: travelers who deserve lower prices and better choices. Now, many
- 16:03Speaker 9: at the time said this was a disaster, this merger
- 16:06Speaker 9: should have been allowed, and this today would indicate this
- 16:10Speaker 9: is not better for travelers, This is not better for pricing,
- 16:13Speaker 9: this is not better for competition.
- 16:15Speaker 4: Actually it's worse, worse. And part of the problem here
- 16:22Speaker 4: is that they try to make it look like like
- 16:24Speaker 4: this is a good thing. But this is not a
- 16:26Speaker 4: good thing. This is a bad thing. And he's not
- 16:29Speaker 4: the only one weighing in on this. You've got investors
- 16:31Speaker 4: like Kevin O'Leary from Shark Tank, who, as you know,
- 16:35Speaker 4: last Monday, I was at the Trump Kennedy Center in Washington,
- 16:38Speaker 4: d C. For an event that him and Ashley Davis
- 16:40Speaker 4: put on with Rob Carson. Shout out to all of them,
- 16:43Speaker 4: and a great event, by the way.
- 16:45Speaker 9: And the.
- 16:48Speaker 4: Investor mister O'Leary, mister wonderful as he's known as he
- 16:52Speaker 4: was on Fox just a little while ago, Fox Business
- 16:55Speaker 4: Channel with Stuart Varney and he had this to say.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Hell out, private company like spirit.
- 17:03Speaker 1: Never never, capitalism works, America works, the economies work. For
- 17:07Speaker 1: two hundred and fifty years. Because the winners win and
- 17:09Speaker 1: the losers lose. The protein is never lost toart. Think
- 17:13Speaker 1: of Spirit Airlines as a dead fish. It's now drifting
- 17:16Speaker 1: to the bottom of the ocean. The slugs will eat
- 17:19Speaker 1: the protein and reprocess it into the environment, which is
- 17:22Speaker 1: the economy. The reason Spirit failed it was poorly managed.
- 17:27Speaker 1: We don't want to back up weak managers. These are losers.
- 17:32Speaker 1: And when they get to zero, which Spirit did, the
- 17:35Speaker 1: good protein left in the business is taken by the
- 17:39Speaker 1: better managers, the airlines that are actually actually active, those
- 17:43Speaker 1: roots will be absorbed, those employees will be employed, the
- 17:45Speaker 1: good ones, and so you've got this constant recreation of success.
- 17:52Speaker 1: And that's really what we have to stay on.
- 17:53Speaker 12: Now.
- 17:53Speaker 1: When you get the government involved in bailing out a loser,
- 17:57Speaker 1: you don't just do airlines. Every guy in his with
- 18:00Speaker 1: a loser company with weak management is going to put
- 18:03Speaker 1: their hand up. And I'm in Washington, DC ret right now.
- 18:05Speaker 1: There's a lot of ducks downstairs here squawking for government money.
- 18:08Speaker 7: They shouldn't get any of it.
- 18:10Speaker 4: Well, what's the whole point.
- 18:11Speaker 1: What do you said about in the environment, the economy
- 18:14Speaker 1: they're competing in.
- 18:15Speaker 5: Well, what do you say about Intel. Trump put a
- 18:17Speaker 5: lot of money into Intel.
- 18:20Speaker 1: I was so against that deal, and I'm on the
- 18:23Speaker 1: record with you. I hate that deal, absolutely hate it.
- 18:27Speaker 1: That thing should have been sold for car parts a
- 18:29Speaker 1: long time ago. Now maybe they're getting government contracts, which
- 18:33Speaker 1: is even worse to keep them afloat. And I know
- 18:35Speaker 1: the stock's moved up, but that is not an excuse
- 18:38Speaker 1: to do this again. Let losers die. It's like a
- 18:41Speaker 1: grandmother on the bed. She wants you to pull out
- 18:44Speaker 1: the tubes. She wants to go, and we just don't
- 18:47Speaker 1: let it happen. Let them die, Let the losers die.
- 18:51Speaker 1: It's a theme I think everybody should be harping on.
- 18:53Speaker 4: You'll sing it together. I think he's right. Listen. I
- 18:57Speaker 4: remember in two thousand and eight or so, maybe it
- 19:00Speaker 4: was earlier in two thousand and seven when what was
- 19:05Speaker 4: the name of that company? Geez, I'm forgetting it.
- 19:08Speaker 13: Boy.
- 19:08Speaker 4: If I don't remember the name, I can't really make
- 19:10Speaker 4: this point. But it was one of the bigger banks
- 19:13Speaker 4: that were involved in losing their shirt and uh huh, aig,
- 19:20Speaker 4: that's it, aig. I remember they were the first ones
- 19:23Speaker 4: up raising their hands, and then General Motors and a
- 19:25Speaker 4: few others. And I remember thinking to myself when I
- 19:29Speaker 4: was in business for myself as a barbershop owner, I
- 19:31Speaker 4: had opened a barber shop, and I had done well,
- 19:33Speaker 4: you know, as well as one could do as a
- 19:35Speaker 4: you know, I was sixteen and a half when I
- 19:38Speaker 4: took a lease on an existing beauty salon. Didn't even
- 19:41Speaker 4: have a haircutting license yet. I was in school still,
- 19:44Speaker 4: and I took a lot of these risks as a
- 19:46Speaker 4: young business owner. But my point was, I knew I
- 19:49Speaker 4: was rolling the dice and that I could lose, and
- 19:52Speaker 4: that's the reality. I knew that a bigger place could
- 19:54Speaker 4: come and take my customers if I didn't do a
- 19:56Speaker 4: really good job to keep my customers. And that was
- 19:59Speaker 4: always the real of business. And that's the reality for
- 20:02Speaker 4: most small business owners in America today. It's only a
- 20:05Speaker 4: few a handful of these big businesses that get to
- 20:08Speaker 4: pull that off using the excuse of too big to fail.
- 20:12Speaker 4: I'm with Kevin O'Leary here. I agree, let the losers die.
- 20:16Speaker 4: You can't win. You can't win, and that's it because
- 20:20Speaker 4: ultimately somebody else has to step up, right and competition,
- 20:25Speaker 4: good competition is good for the consumer. But when you
- 20:28Speaker 4: have this fake, phony, fraud propped up type of competition
- 20:32Speaker 4: that's being funded by the government like we did with
- 20:34Speaker 4: AIG and that with City Group and all the rest
- 20:36Speaker 4: of them. I think it's a bad move. Now some
- 20:39Speaker 4: will say, so you would have had all those people
- 20:41Speaker 4: lose their jobs in our economy tank and potentially this, that,
- 20:45Speaker 4: and the other, which ended up working out because they
- 20:47Speaker 4: all paid their stuff back. So it proves that we
- 20:50Speaker 4: bailing them out was the right thing to do. I
- 20:52Speaker 4: don't think it proves that. I think it proves that
- 20:54Speaker 4: bailing them out worked, It doesn't mean that it was
- 20:57Speaker 4: the right thing to do. I think the right thing
- 20:59Speaker 4: to do is exactly what mister wonderful set. Allow that
- 21:01Speaker 4: protein to feed the barnacle and the other urchins in
- 21:05Speaker 4: the sea, and allow people to move on because other
- 21:08Speaker 4: people would have had an opportunity to grow their business
- 21:10Speaker 4: to medium sized players become the major players. When the
- 21:13Speaker 4: major players go belly up, that's how it goes, right,
- 21:17Speaker 4: or at least other major players can gobble you up.
- 21:20Speaker 4: But if nobody's interested in what you've got, then you're
- 21:22Speaker 4: a done deal. Right, So now the government is looking
- 21:25Speaker 4: at being the major player that may do this, and
- 21:28Speaker 4: again mister wonderful says it's a bad idea. I say,
- 21:31Speaker 4: as long as we can get the profit for it,
- 21:33Speaker 4: it's great. The problem is we with the profit also
- 21:35Speaker 4: comes the losses if we don't get it, and that's
- 21:38Speaker 4: where I think it's problematic. And you get closer and
- 21:41Speaker 4: closer to state run industries, which I don't think are
- 21:45Speaker 4: a good thing. I don't want the state to do
- 21:47Speaker 4: anything right, but I understand this is the leverage that
- 21:50Speaker 4: Trump has, and it puts us all in a precarious place. Right.
- 21:53Speaker 4: You have Elon Musk not too long ago saying that
- 21:56Speaker 4: the best way forward is to put everybody on a
- 21:57Speaker 4: universal basic income of ten or fifteen thousand a month
- 22:00Speaker 4: to keep the economy going. Real nice people, and everybody's
- 22:03Speaker 4: making six figures by staying home. That's crazy, and I
- 22:06Speaker 4: don't mean everybody. They're probably going to focus on people
- 22:08Speaker 4: of early retirement age, you know, fifty five, sixty five,
- 22:11Speaker 4: seventy five, whatever, giving them that kind of money so
- 22:14Speaker 4: that they can enjoy their retirement. Probably not seventy five,
- 22:17Speaker 4: because they're on Social Security and they're on their way out,
- 22:20Speaker 4: so you're probably looking more like fifty five and sixty
- 22:22Speaker 4: Five've imagined if that were to happen, that would be wild,
- 22:26Speaker 4: really wild.
- 22:27Speaker 14: Right.
- 22:27Speaker 4: You have all these young people, relatively young, healthy people
- 22:30Speaker 4: in their fifties that are unable to compete with younger
- 22:33Speaker 4: people getting paid to not work. It sounds like a
- 22:37Speaker 4: socialist dream to me. I don't think it's going to happen.
- 22:40Speaker 4: I hope it doesn't happen, but God, if it ever
- 22:42Speaker 4: does happen, then let it be at a wage like that, right,
- 22:46Speaker 4: where people are making enough money to live a decent
- 22:48Speaker 4: life and not become a problem. But in effect you
- 22:52Speaker 4: are the problem if you're making one hundred k year
- 22:55Speaker 4: on a government backed universal income program.
- 23:00Speaker 7: Right.
- 23:00Speaker 4: I mean that that whole idea from Elon Musk was wild.
- 23:04Speaker 4: You know, Elin, If you're listening, I'd love to have
- 23:06Speaker 4: you on the show and talk about this, because it's
- 23:08Speaker 4: one that escapes me. For such a smart guy, and
- 23:10Speaker 4: as an ultra capitalist like he is, to suggest a
- 23:13Speaker 4: Marxist plan like that, or a Marxist solution is puzzling
- 23:18Speaker 4: to me. But anyway, Spirit airlines now defunct, they're gone,
- 23:23Speaker 4: and the airline industry in general has been problematic. Earlier
- 23:28Speaker 4: today I saw a report about something else that was
- 23:31Speaker 4: going on. United Airlines suffered an attack in mid air.
- 23:38Speaker 4: You know this is what they're calling an attack, but
- 23:40Speaker 4: there's really somebody tried to breach the cockpit or did
- 23:42Speaker 4: breach the cockpit, and we got some audio from that.
- 23:45Speaker 4: I believe that this is audio from the website flightradar
- 23:50Speaker 4: dot com. Listen to this.
- 23:54Speaker 13: Emergency. It seems like so much to success to order.
- 23:58Speaker 13: Can you get us? Yeah, I'm moving them in. Can
- 24:01Speaker 13: you have he reached the Eagles? Met caros here? Please here?
- 24:05Speaker 1: Say again?
- 24:06Speaker 4: Now I'm not sure if you could hear that. He said,
- 24:08Speaker 4: someone has just attacked one of our flight attendants. We
- 24:12Speaker 4: need emergency services, and the air traffic controller asked him
- 24:17Speaker 4: to repeat, can you.
- 24:19Speaker 13: Haven't reached the Eagles some aircraft out here? Yeah?
- 24:22Speaker 3: You need them right there?
- 24:23Speaker 13: Romeo Short Juliet correct affirmative.
- 24:25Speaker 4: Do you have a nature of emergency?
- 24:27Speaker 13: Gentlemen? Just stack one to flight tennants and trying to
- 24:29Speaker 13: open the four meetcabinuary. Oh my god, trying to get
- 24:33Speaker 13: act like all right, we're calling I.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Had eighteen thirty seven resk for a gate A seven.
- 24:39Speaker 2: We need to be met by a law enforcement We
- 24:41Speaker 2: had someone.
- 24:46Speaker 4: All right, So you want it at the gate down.
- 24:50Speaker 2: Flight attendants at door one L were attacked and they
- 24:53Speaker 2: managed to get the door open, and we're restrained by
- 24:56Speaker 2: multiple passengers. Aircraft is still under control. We're coming into
- 25:02Speaker 2: the gate, Anama. I don't know for sure yet, but
- 25:05Speaker 2: we probably had some injuries as well as some medical
- 25:08Speaker 2: personnel as well.
- 25:09Speaker 13: And get me a supervisor down here, manager down here
- 25:11Speaker 13: as well.
- 25:11Speaker 2: For you in the flight.
- 25:14Speaker 4: This happened again yesterday, I believe last night. Right, this
- 25:21Speaker 4: is crazy stuff that's going on. Right. This is on
- 25:23Speaker 4: flight United Airlines eighteen thirty seven, Newark Liberty International Airports,
- 25:27Speaker 4: about twenty minutes from my home, about thirty five minutes
- 25:30Speaker 4: from our Times Square studio in New York City. If
- 25:34Speaker 4: you're not dealing with a lot of traffic, this is
- 25:37Speaker 4: crazy stuff, really really crazy stuff. So this is the
- 25:42Speaker 4: type of stuff we're dealing with. You got passengers are straining,
- 25:45Speaker 4: some local and I don't know the details yet. I
- 25:47Speaker 4: don't know if he yelled anything. I don't know if
- 25:49Speaker 4: he made any demands. I don't know what the purpose
- 25:51Speaker 4: of him trying to get into the flight deck was.
- 25:53Speaker 4: But it shouldn't be happening, right, We need to get
- 26:00Speaker 4: under control, and it seems like it was under control.
- 26:02Speaker 13: Right.
- 26:02Speaker 4: You can't eliminate the bad people, right, You can't eliminate
- 26:05Speaker 4: the Cole Allens of the world or the crazy people
- 26:08Speaker 4: on these planes, but you can be prepared for them,
- 26:11Speaker 4: and it seems like they were prepared. They had the
- 26:13Speaker 4: protocols in place, and some heroic passengers made sure that
- 26:18Speaker 4: this guy didn't go anywhere and held him down. And
- 26:20Speaker 4: kudos to them, right, because we always need people to
- 26:23Speaker 4: step up and do the right thing. But wild times
- 26:27Speaker 4: in the airline world, right, wild times, no more spirit.
- 26:30Speaker 4: You've got people breaking into cockpits all sorts of Lokua
- 26:33Speaker 4: and just think Jet Blue might have been able to
- 26:37Speaker 4: purchase spirit if it wasn't for Elizabeth Warren and Pete
- 26:42Speaker 4: boodhage Edge and the rest of the left within the
- 26:45Speaker 4: Democrat Party and the Biden administration opposing it. So now
- 26:49Speaker 4: it's gone, And what's going to happen to Jet Blue?
- 26:52Speaker 4: They're posting losses as well. Are they going to be
- 26:54Speaker 4: the next one to go belly up? We're going to
- 26:56Speaker 4: find out more to come straight ahead. I'm rich weal
- 26:57Speaker 4: does keep it locked right.
- 26:58Speaker 5: Here, America. This is America.
- 27:43Speaker 7: President.
- 27:43Speaker 4: Prone take from mister President. Welcome to the program, sir, well, thank.
- 27:47Speaker 6: You, Rich and thank you for everything. I know you
- 27:49Speaker 6: very well and I have I listen, but I have
- 27:52Speaker 6: a lot of people that listen and they love your show,
- 27:54Speaker 6: and I appreciate it very much.
- 27:57Speaker 4: I appreciate it too, sir. Thank you for that, and
- 27:59Speaker 4: I mean it goes well.
- 28:00Speaker 15: Come back.
- 28:00Speaker 4: It's Rich valdask keeping your company this Monday night, just
- 28:03Speaker 4: hours away from my birthday, officially kicking off Synko to Mayo.
- 28:06Speaker 4: But I want to talk about something that happened over
- 28:08Speaker 4: the weekend, right because over the weekend you had everybody
- 28:12Speaker 4: making the rounds on the Sunday shows, and not the
- 28:14Speaker 4: least of which was United States Attorney General Todd Blanche.
- 28:18Speaker 4: Todd Blanche sitting down with Kristen Welker on NBC to
- 28:22Speaker 4: talk about exactly what's going on with the James Comey situation,
- 28:25Speaker 4: because he says, listen, this isn't simply about seashells. Listen
- 28:30Speaker 4: to this.
- 28:33Speaker 13: Quote.
- 28:33Speaker 16: A reasonable recipient who is familiar with the circumstances would
- 28:37Speaker 16: interpret as a serious expression of an intent to do
- 28:41Speaker 16: harm to the President of the United States. How does
- 28:44Speaker 16: that image of seashells amount to a serious threat against
- 28:48Speaker 16: the president's life.
- 28:50Speaker 17: Well, every case requires an investigation, and what you just
- 28:52Speaker 17: showed is one part of that investigation. What you just
- 28:55Speaker 17: showed as the Instagram post. Rest assured that the career
- 28:59Speaker 17: assist United States attorneys in North Carolina, the career FBI agents,
- 29:03Speaker 17: the career Secret Service agents that investigated this case didn't
- 29:07Speaker 17: just look at the Instagram post to walk away. That's
- 29:10Speaker 17: why you saw an indictment last week. I'm notwithstaying the
- 29:13Speaker 17: fact that it was last May that the post was made,
- 29:15Speaker 17: so I am not permitted to get into the details
- 29:18Speaker 17: of what the grand jury heard or found, as you know.
- 29:21Speaker 17: But Rest assured that it's not just the Instagram post
- 29:24Speaker 17: that leads somebody to get indicted.
- 29:25Speaker 4: Oh snap, it's not just the Instagram post. Well, of
- 29:29Speaker 4: course she's going to push back and say, well, then
- 29:31Speaker 4: what is it, Attorney General Blanche.
- 29:33Speaker 16: Well, part of what the government would have to prove
- 29:36Speaker 16: is intent. James Comy deleted the post the same day,
- 29:40Speaker 16: and he wrote, quote, I didn't realize some folks associate
- 29:43Speaker 16: those numbers with violence. It never occurred to me, But
- 29:46Speaker 16: I oppose violence of any kind, So I took the
- 29:50Speaker 16: post down.
- 29:51Speaker 4: Hold on a second, now, just imagine Kristen Welker making
- 29:54Speaker 4: this same argument for somebody saying, you know that they
- 29:57Speaker 4: were going to hurt somebody, harm somebody. I'm going to
- 29:58Speaker 4: kill somebody. Yeah I can't. I'm going to kill that guy. Hey,
- 30:02Speaker 4: you can't say that that's a threat against that person.
- 30:04Speaker 4: You're threatening their life.
- 30:05Speaker 13: Oh.
- 30:05Speaker 4: I didn't realize that anybody would ever take it seriously.
- 30:08Speaker 4: I was just saying I was going to kill the guy. Well,
- 30:11Speaker 4: let me delete my tweet and then everything's good. Right,
- 30:13Speaker 4: I've no longer committed my crime because I've deleted the tweet.
- 30:16Speaker 4: How dumb? Does she sound? Unbelievable?
- 30:19Speaker 16: How do you prove intent? Mister Blanchwin, Mister Comy himself
- 30:24Speaker 16: said he didn't understand that some people would look at that.
- 30:27Speaker 4: Who cares what he understands, Kristin Welker, Really, whose side
- 30:31Speaker 4: are you on?
- 30:32Speaker 16: And think about violence?
- 30:33Speaker 17: You prove intent like you always prove intent. You prove
- 30:36Speaker 17: intent with witnesses, You prove intent with documents, with materials.
- 30:40Speaker 17: So again, this is not just about a single Instagram post.
- 30:43Speaker 17: This is about a body of evidence that the grand
- 30:45Speaker 17: jury collected over the series of about eleven months that
- 30:49Speaker 17: evidence was presented to the grand jury. And it's not
- 30:51Speaker 17: the government, it's not the Department of Justice, it's not
- 30:54Speaker 17: Todd Blanche that returned an indictment against James Colemy. It's
- 30:57Speaker 17: a grand jury part of the judicial process. That this
- 31:00Speaker 17: process has to be allowed to play out in the courts.
- 31:03Speaker 17: It's not fair to mister Comy. It's certainly not fair
- 31:06Speaker 17: to the prosecutors for us to be airing your view
- 31:09Speaker 17: or my view of this indictment. It's something that will
- 31:12Speaker 17: present it in court at the time. Step by the judge.
- 31:15Speaker 4: Quote that was great, that was great. She read the quote.
- 31:18Speaker 4: He set her straight. It was fantastic. And I don't
- 31:22Speaker 4: know if she realizes that she is in effect a
- 31:26Speaker 4: de facto defense lawyer for James Comy. Right, this goes
- 31:29Speaker 4: beyond telling both sides of the story. This is her
- 31:33Speaker 4: actually questioning the legal system. How are you going to
- 31:38Speaker 4: prove intent? And his response is beautiful and he said,
- 31:41Speaker 4: similar to the other day in a press conference, the
- 31:44Speaker 4: way you always do it, the way you evidence. You
- 31:47Speaker 4: use evidence in every court case. That's why we have courts.
- 31:50Speaker 4: If the presupposition that is built into her question automatically
- 31:55Speaker 4: presumes that if this man says he's not guilty, then
- 31:58Speaker 4: that's it. There's no need for a trial. I mean,
- 32:01Speaker 4: who else gets that kind of treatment? President Trump surely
- 32:05Speaker 4: didn't get that kind of treatment when he said he
- 32:06Speaker 4: wasn't guilty. It's unbelievable to me that people actually entertain
- 32:11Speaker 4: this type of drivel. Really, I mean, come on, how
- 32:14Speaker 4: dumb do you think people are. I understand people are overworked.
- 32:17Speaker 4: I understand people have other things to worry about other
- 32:19Speaker 4: than the news and politics and all that stuff. But
- 32:21Speaker 4: for those of us that listen to the news every day,
- 32:23Speaker 4: analyze the news, that work in this business, even, come on,
- 32:28Speaker 4: stop trying and insult everybody's intelligence. Unbelievable anyway. So that's
- 32:34Speaker 4: the case there with that one. Now somebody else that
- 32:37Speaker 4: really just you know, I don't get into this too much,
- 32:40Speaker 4: but this one I'm going to get into only because
- 32:42Speaker 4: this was wild. Right. You've got the commentator named Tucker Carlson.
- 32:49Speaker 4: He doesnt interview with The New York Times, you know,
- 32:52Speaker 4: not a right wing rag by any means, right, And
- 32:56Speaker 4: they call him out on something that he said where
- 32:58Speaker 4: he called Trump the Ante Christ. He says I did
- 33:02Speaker 4: not do that. She plays the video for him. He says,
- 33:08Speaker 4: that never came out of my mouth. What does she think?
- 33:11Speaker 4: What does he think? Do they mutually think that AI
- 33:15Speaker 4: was used to make him say something he didn't say,
- 33:18Speaker 4: or is he just backpedaling you decide.
- 33:20Speaker 3: Listen to this clip what I was saying, which is,
- 33:23Speaker 3: you cannot mock other people's gods and put yourself in
- 33:28Speaker 3: their place.
- 33:29Speaker 13: Period.
- 33:29Speaker 3: That is a deal killer for me. That's worse than
- 33:31Speaker 3: the war with Iran in my opinion.
- 33:33Speaker 14: Yeah, but I ask because you know you've been talking
- 33:35Speaker 14: on your show about whether Trump is the Antichrist.
- 33:38Speaker 4: I mean before I should have paused this a second ago.
- 33:40Speaker 4: But he said, mocking someone else's god is worse than
- 33:46Speaker 4: the war in Iran in his opinion. He's entitled to
- 33:50Speaker 4: his opinion. But let's just analyze that. If I make
- 33:54Speaker 4: fun of your god, I'm exercising my free speech right.
- 33:57Speaker 4: Free speech is what protects un popular speech, speech that
- 34:01Speaker 4: people don't like to hear. That's what free speech is.
- 34:04Speaker 4: He's saying that free speech is worse than the Iranians
- 34:09Speaker 4: killing women for not wearing hitjobs, killing gays for being
- 34:12Speaker 4: gays for whatever they're doing killing people just for simply
- 34:16Speaker 4: dissenting in the streets, protesting against their regime, and then
- 34:20Speaker 4: the United States taking action against them. This war is
- 34:23Speaker 4: what he's talking about. And he says that that is
- 34:25Speaker 4: not as bad as the free speech. Blows me away.
- 34:28Speaker 4: Blows me away.
- 34:29Speaker 2: Now.
- 34:30Speaker 4: She follows up with a question about calling Trump the Antichrist,
- 34:33Speaker 4: and the backpedaling begins.
- 34:35Speaker 14: Yeah, but I ask, because you know, you've been talking
- 34:37Speaker 14: on your show about whether Trump is the Antichrist.
- 34:40Speaker 4: I have none said that. On your show the day
- 34:42Speaker 4: after Easter.
- 34:43Speaker 14: You noted he did not put his hand on the
- 34:45Speaker 14: Bible during his swearing and ceremony as president. You said,
- 34:48Speaker 14: and I'm quoting, maybe he didn't put his hand on
- 34:50Speaker 14: the Bible because he affirmatively rejects what's inside that book.
- 34:54Speaker 14: And then on a recent show you went further saying,
- 34:56Speaker 14: here's a leader who's mocking the gods of his ancestors,
- 34:59Speaker 14: mocking the God of God and exalting himself above them.
- 35:02Speaker 14: Could this be the Antichrist?
- 35:04Speaker 3: I actually did not say, could this be the Antichrist?
- 35:07Speaker 3: Here's a leader who here is mocking the gods of
- 35:09Speaker 3: his ancestors, mocking the God of gods and exalting himself
- 35:14Speaker 3: above them. Could this be the Antichrist? Well, who knows?
- 35:20Speaker 4: That's a receipt.
- 35:21Speaker 3: I don't know where that comes from, but I know
- 35:23Speaker 3: that those words never left my lips. Because I'm not
- 35:26Speaker 3: sure I fully understand what the Antichrist is. If there's
- 35:28Speaker 3: just one I actually tried to understand it, I may
- 35:32Speaker 3: have said some are asking that. I'm not weighing on
- 35:35Speaker 3: that because I don't understand it.
- 35:37Speaker 4: Just to be done. Obviously I don't understand it. Listen,
- 35:43Speaker 4: I would ask for a transcript. I would say, play
- 35:46Speaker 4: the tape again. But to sit there and just say
- 35:48Speaker 4: I don't recall saying it. You can say that, but
- 35:52Speaker 4: to say, look, those words never left my mouth when
- 35:54Speaker 4: the proof is there, come on, I mean, come on,
- 35:59Speaker 4: this isn't helpful, not for him, not for anybody. The
- 36:01Speaker 4: whole thing is wild. So Kristin Welker got caught defending
- 36:06Speaker 4: James Camy. Maybe she didn't know she was doing that,
- 36:09Speaker 4: but she did. Mister Carlson has been caught looks like fibbing,
- 36:14Speaker 4: or at least forgetting what he said. And now you've
- 36:18Speaker 4: got somebody else that's been caught. Sixteen of them to
- 36:21Speaker 4: be exact, a bunch of arrests. Sixteen people arrested in
- 36:25Speaker 4: connection with child predator crimes. Listen to this, acio La
- 36:29Speaker 4: County Sheriff, go right ahead to.
- 36:31Speaker 15: Think anyone about harming children. We are watching you. Let
- 36:35Speaker 15: me be clear, perfectly clear, we are watching what you
- 36:38Speaker 15: were doing. There's nowhere to hide on the internet. If
- 36:40Speaker 15: you make a move to harm one of these children,
- 36:42Speaker 15: we will track you down. We will not stop until
- 36:44Speaker 15: every predator is removed from society and our streets and
- 36:48Speaker 15: our communities. These arrests are just the beginning. I'm gonna
- 36:52Speaker 15: talk to the parents, and I need you to pay
- 36:54Speaker 15: attention to parents. Please be vigilant with your children. Talk
- 36:57Speaker 15: to your children about the dangers of online gaming platforms,
- 37:01Speaker 15: cell phones, chat groups. The Attorney General here filed lawsuits
- 37:06Speaker 15: back in end of twenty five and twenty six against roadblocks.
- 37:09Speaker 15: It's one of the places where they're preying on children.
- 37:11Speaker 15: It's a predator's stomping grounds to go looking for. It's
- 37:14Speaker 15: where they hunt. Our work is far from over, far
- 37:19Speaker 15: from over.
- 37:20Speaker 4: If you hunt our children, yeah, you hunt our children,
- 37:23Speaker 4: we hunt you right Let them know. I think that's fantastic.
- 37:26Speaker 4: Kudos to the sheriff, Sheriff Christopher Blackman, Osciola County, Florida,
- 37:33Speaker 4: And there was also a joint effort or a separate effort.
- 37:36Speaker 4: It happened around the same time with a similar predators
- 37:41Speaker 4: thing in North Carolina. So needless to say, these people
- 37:44Speaker 4: are on the job doing what has to be done,
- 37:47Speaker 4: and I couldn't be prouder, right, these are the types
- 37:50Speaker 4: of news stories we want to talk about. We want
- 37:52Speaker 4: people that abuse and harm and hunt our children to
- 37:56Speaker 4: be abused and harmed and put down so that they
- 38:00Speaker 4: are no longer hunting. Let them be hunted. These operations
- 38:06Speaker 4: span six counties, including Nash County. Sixteen individuals that were arrested,
- 38:11Speaker 4: ranging in age from nineteen to eighty seven years old.
- 38:14Speaker 4: The charges include solicitation of a child by computer, sexual
- 38:17Speaker 4: exploitation of a minor, and the dissemination of obscenity. Last month,
- 38:23Speaker 4: similar operation Catch a con Fifteen of the sixteen arrested
- 38:29Speaker 4: men were reportedly traveling to a designated location expecting to
- 38:33Speaker 4: meet a miner for sex. The targeted ages of the
- 38:36Speaker 4: suspects believe they were communicating with victims from the ages
- 38:40Speaker 4: of twelve and sixteen, So these guys thought they were
- 38:42Speaker 4: talking to the little kids that were twelve and sixteen
- 38:44Speaker 4: years old. Sixteen is not a little kid, but definitely
- 38:46Speaker 4: a miner for sure, and FYI. According to WSH News
- 38:54Speaker 4: Channel two, these cases are part of a broader crackdown.
- 38:57Speaker 4: Florida officials recently noted that over four teen hundred sexual
- 39:01Speaker 4: predators have been arrested statewide in the past year. Kudos
- 39:05Speaker 4: Toron DeSantis. First, he ends the income tax, or is
- 39:08Speaker 4: working on ending the income tax, I mean the property
- 39:11Speaker 4: tax in Florida, which already has no income tax, and
- 39:14Speaker 4: now he's going after these guys. He is an excellent governor,
- 39:17Speaker 4: He's an excellent operator, and I hope that he has
- 39:21Speaker 4: aspirations for a political future. He just needs, I think,
- 39:25Speaker 4: a more solid team around him that can get him
- 39:29Speaker 4: off the ground. I think he's got an excellent team
- 39:30Speaker 4: for Florida, but he needs a team that's excellent at
- 39:33Speaker 4: the national level. If that makes sense anyway. We will
- 39:37Speaker 4: continue more to come straight ahead. I'm ri Childs, don't
- 39:40Speaker 4: go anywhere.
- 39:41Speaker 5: This is America. This is America. He's brown, he's bald,
- 39:58Speaker 5: and he's breaking it down.
- 40:00Speaker 4: Oh he's so handsome.
- 40:01Speaker 5: What's his name Rich Valdez.
- 40:06Speaker 4: All right for media, welcome back. It's rich Valdez Valdez
- 40:09Speaker 4: with ns at Rich Valdees on all of the social media.
- 40:12Speaker 4: And we've got a report that broke a little while
- 40:14Speaker 4: ago with respect to the latest on America's Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
- 40:19Speaker 4: Here is I don't know her name, Sorry about that
- 40:22Speaker 4: from the Fox News channel. Very pretty though, very very
- 40:25Speaker 4: pretty letter ripen.
- 40:27Speaker 18: We are receiving a word. Former New York City Mayor
- 40:29Speaker 18: Rudy Giuliani is making a recovery from pneumonia after being
- 40:33Speaker 18: hospitalized over the weekend. A spokesperson for Giuliani's team hosting
- 40:37Speaker 18: this on X quote, Mayor Rudy Giuliani is recovering from pneumonia.
- 40:41Speaker 18: On September eleventh, Mayor Giuliani ran toward the towers to
- 40:45Speaker 18: help those in need, which later led to a diagnosis
- 40:48Speaker 18: of restrictive airway disease. This condition adds complications to any
- 40:52Speaker 18: respiratory illness, and the virus quickly overwhelmed his body, requiring
- 40:56Speaker 18: mechanical ventilation to maintain adequate oxygen and stabilize condition. He
- 41:01Speaker 18: is now breathing on his own with his family and
- 41:03Speaker 18: primary medical provider at his side. Mayor Giuliani is the
- 41:07Speaker 18: ultimate fighter, as he has demonstrated throughout his life, and
- 41:10Speaker 18: he is winning this battle. Any updates on the former mayor,
- 41:14Speaker 18: we will bring it to you as soon as new
- 41:16Speaker 18: information comes in.
- 41:17Speaker 4: Well Amen, Praise God, Halleljah. That's a good thing to hear,
- 41:21Speaker 4: because a America needs America's Mayor Rudy Giuliani. We love him,
- 41:26Speaker 4: and I'm thankful that our prayers have been answered thus far,
- 41:30Speaker 4: because it's very difficult. You know, Mayor Giuliani's Birthday's coming
- 41:33Speaker 4: up and about two weeks after mine, and I think
- 41:38Speaker 4: he's going to be eighty two or eighty three years old.
- 41:40Speaker 4: I was at his birthday party just I think last year.
- 41:42Speaker 4: It was in Manhattan and Italian Place, maybe the year before.
- 41:45Speaker 4: But my point is that this is very difficult. And
- 41:48Speaker 4: I only know this because my dad, who in his
- 41:51Speaker 4: late seventies, had several bouts with pneumonia, and one of
- 41:55Speaker 4: them was critical, like the way they're mentioning his where
- 41:57Speaker 4: he had to be intubated, where he had to go
- 41:59Speaker 4: on a ventilator, he was not able to breathe on
- 42:01Speaker 4: his own. This is my dad. I'm talking about now,
- 42:03Speaker 4: not maryor Giuliani, who I think went through the same
- 42:05Speaker 4: exact thing. And my dad was released with a three
- 42:11Speaker 4: month recovery, saying it's going to take ninety days for
- 42:14Speaker 4: him to get back, you know, even seventy percent of
- 42:18Speaker 4: his previous lung function. My dad also had COPD, and
- 42:23Speaker 4: it's very difficult when you're up in years to fight
- 42:27Speaker 4: these types of pulmonary infections, which can sometimes cause sepsis,
- 42:31Speaker 4: and because of just age and the way you're swallowing
- 42:36Speaker 4: works for my dad, he had a traumatic brain injury
- 42:38Speaker 4: that caused him to swallow not as effectively as he
- 42:41Speaker 4: always did, which would cause frequent aspiration pneumonias. I'm getting
- 42:46Speaker 4: into the weeds here, but he would choke on his
- 42:48Speaker 4: own saliva quite often or swallow down the wrong pipe
- 42:50Speaker 4: as we say, and that would cause you know, bouts
- 42:55Speaker 4: of pneumonia. And it took a toll on him. Ultimately,
- 42:58Speaker 4: it didn't claim his life. My dad died of a stroke.
- 43:02Speaker 4: But these things were tough. I mean, they really knocked
- 43:05Speaker 4: them on his butt. So Mayor Julian, he's a strong man,
- 43:09Speaker 4: he's a fighter. I'm glad that he's fighting. I pray
- 43:12Speaker 4: that this is going to work out well for him.
- 43:13Speaker 4: I think he's going to come out on the other
- 43:15Speaker 4: side of this victorious. The fact that he's breathing on
- 43:18Speaker 4: his own after just a couple of days is a
- 43:20Speaker 4: great thing. You know, my dad went through this, you know,
- 43:23Speaker 4: more than ten years ago. Medical science is a wonderful
- 43:26Speaker 4: thing most of the time, right when you see advancements,
- 43:29Speaker 4: sometimes not so much and switching gears, but staying in
- 43:33Speaker 4: the same vein here this pneumonia stuff. One of the
- 43:37Speaker 4: first bouts my dad had with pneumonia was after shortly
- 43:42Speaker 4: after a pneumonia or a flu shot. He'd gotten one
- 43:46Speaker 4: of those, and I noticed every time he got that,
- 43:48Speaker 4: he got sick. And I told the doctor and he said, yeah,
- 43:51Speaker 4: because there's a little bit of the bacteria in there
- 43:53Speaker 4: and it can cause the symptoms sometimes even look like
- 43:55Speaker 4: you're getting sick. But I noticed my dad was better
- 43:58Speaker 4: off not having it because every year you had to
- 44:00Speaker 4: take a new one because of a quote unquote new strain. Well,
- 44:03Speaker 4: if there's a new strain every year, then I think
- 44:06Speaker 4: it doesn't make a lot of sense to get this
- 44:08Speaker 4: every year, because I don't think it's really stopping against
- 44:10Speaker 4: the strain at least that was my thought. This was
- 44:12Speaker 4: me and Layman's terms right in twenty eighteen, twenty nineteen.
- 44:16Speaker 4: Excuse me. So I decided to check what his doctor
- 44:20Speaker 4: and I stopped giving him the vaccines, and guess what,
- 44:23Speaker 4: he stopped getting sick for the most part, at least
- 44:26Speaker 4: from respiratory illnesses. So that was a relief for me.
- 44:29Speaker 4: But I just saw this thing released less than a
- 44:32Speaker 4: day ago from doctor Mary Tally Boden, and she's a
- 44:38Speaker 4: physician and had a similar story to what my dad
- 44:41Speaker 4: went through. And this is a very young woman. Listen
- 44:43Speaker 4: to this. This doctor gave her kids the flu shot
- 44:46Speaker 4: every single year.
- 44:47Speaker 18: Then she ended up in the ICU, and what she
- 44:50Speaker 18: found in the data after that will make you question
- 44:52Speaker 18: everything you've been told about vaccines.
- 44:55Speaker 19: Prior to the pandemic.
- 44:56Speaker 6: I was a good little soldier.
- 44:58Speaker 19: I got all my shots. I got the flu shot annually.
- 45:01Speaker 19: I got my kids the flu shot annually. But I
- 45:04Speaker 19: did have one time, and it was right before the pandemic.
- 45:08Speaker 19: I got the flu. Right after getting the flu shot,
- 45:11Speaker 19: I ended up in the ICU with pneumonia and sepsis.
- 45:15Speaker 19: The pandemic caused me to dig into the data about
- 45:18Speaker 19: the flu shot, which I really hadn't done before. You know,
- 45:21Speaker 19: I had just taken everything at face value. Oh, I'm
- 45:24Speaker 19: sure it's fine. The FDA approved it, you know, we're
- 45:27Speaker 19: told it's safe and effective and never questioned it.
- 45:29Speaker 7: Shame on me.
- 45:30Speaker 19: But when you dig into the data with the flu shot,
- 45:33Speaker 19: you see that it does not prevent hospitalization, it does
- 45:35Speaker 19: not prevent death. It actually they've shown that it could
- 45:39Speaker 19: increase your risk of other infections.
- 45:42Speaker 4: Yep, that's a fact. So she's talking about that to
- 45:45Speaker 4: promote her book Dangerous Misinformation, But she didn't lie there.
- 45:50Speaker 4: That was my exact experience. Now, I'm not saying that
- 45:53Speaker 4: Mayor Giuliani had any of those things. I'm saying that
- 45:55Speaker 4: my dad had that, and she's saying that she had that.
- 45:58Speaker 4: But what I am saying is that we have to
- 46:00Speaker 4: really evaluate things. You nowadays have to know a lot.
- 46:05Speaker 4: It's not like, well, that's why I go to the doctor.
- 46:07Speaker 4: They're supposed to know. Sadly, that's not enough. You've got
- 46:10Speaker 4: to talk to your doctor, and you've got to find
- 46:11Speaker 4: doctors that kind of compete with the literature and will
- 46:15Speaker 4: challenge the current literature because there's a reality, a political
- 46:19Speaker 4: reality that some of the people funding some of the
- 46:21Speaker 4: studies want a particular outcome, and it sucks to say
- 46:26Speaker 4: it's true, but it is. So you have to kind
- 46:29Speaker 4: of think to yourself what's best for me. And I've
- 46:32Speaker 4: always been of the philosophy of taking less medicine is
- 46:35Speaker 4: better for you. Try your best to heal yourself naturally.
- 46:39Speaker 4: I think the human body is amazing at healing itself.
- 46:41Speaker 4: But at the same time, I'm not a fool, right,
- 46:44Speaker 4: I know that there are things out there that work.
- 46:47Speaker 4: And you know, my philosophy is, you know, side effects
- 46:52Speaker 4: are a thing, and you waive them. Are the side
- 46:55Speaker 4: effects worse than their direct effects? If they are, then
- 46:58Speaker 4: you don't take it. But if they're, you do what
- 47:01Speaker 4: you gotta do. A couple of years ago, my brother
- 47:03Speaker 4: got cancer. He said his goodbyes. He said, I don't
- 47:06Speaker 4: want to take chemo. I think it's horrible. I'm not
- 47:09Speaker 4: going to do it, and I'm saying my goodbyes. And
- 47:12Speaker 4: his wife said hell no, and she asked me to
- 47:14Speaker 4: talk him into getting it, and I told him, I said, look,
- 47:16Speaker 4: you're young, you have super high chance of this working.
- 47:21Speaker 4: What are you going to do? I think you should
- 47:23Speaker 4: do it, but grudgingly he did it. Today he's healthy
- 47:26Speaker 4: as an ox and he's alive and well. But he
- 47:31Speaker 4: went through hell, literal hell, hell on earth. It looked
- 47:33Speaker 4: like he had died, gone to the cryptkeeper looked like
- 47:36Speaker 4: a corpse walking. It was brutal. This is a guy
- 47:39Speaker 4: who's spent most of his adult life being two hundred
- 47:42Speaker 4: and fifty pounds, big mouth, tough guy. And he couldn't
- 47:46Speaker 4: talk because he had broat cancer and the chemo got
- 47:50Speaker 4: him and the radiation got him so bad that he
- 47:52Speaker 4: just he was unable to use his mouth and his throat,
- 47:55Speaker 4: so he was eating by a feeding tube, getting hydration
- 47:58Speaker 4: the same way through IV and what not. And it
- 48:01Speaker 4: was and this went on for months, maybe even closer
- 48:04Speaker 4: to a year, brutal, brutal time for our family. But
- 48:08Speaker 4: what I'll say is, thank God he's alive. And it
- 48:11Speaker 4: was because the medicine worked. Despite the side effects, the
- 48:14Speaker 4: medicine worked. He's since changed his lifestyle, turned his eating around,
- 48:18Speaker 4: does a lot of you know, these natural things. You
- 48:21Speaker 4: always hear people talking about methylene blue and all these
- 48:24Speaker 4: other things, and he's all into all sorts of things
- 48:26Speaker 4: like that. But at the time it was chemo that worked.
- 48:29Speaker 4: Chemo's what did the thing, keto and radiation. So I say,
- 48:35Speaker 4: you reject that stuff as much as you can, but
- 48:39Speaker 4: ultimately you do the right thing. Now, he still says, listen,
- 48:42Speaker 4: after doing it, I did it once. I'm in remission.
- 48:44Speaker 4: Thank god. His word is not mine, he says. If
- 48:48Speaker 4: I have to go through it again, I'm not going
- 48:49Speaker 4: through it. It's too rough. So everybody has to go
- 48:54Speaker 4: through it on their own and make their own choices.
- 48:56Speaker 4: But be cognizant of what you're going through. Know what
- 49:01Speaker 4: you're putting in your body. Know that the flu vaccine,
- 49:04Speaker 4: ammonia vaccine, these things have side effects that may in
- 49:07Speaker 4: your opinion, at least in mind. As a non medical
- 49:10Speaker 4: provider providing non medical advice, they do outweigh the benefit.
- 49:15Speaker 4: And I saw the benefit of that with my dad.
- 49:19Speaker 4: Like I said, my dad didn't die of a pulmonary issue.
- 49:22Speaker 4: It was ultimately a stroke. So take that for what
- 49:26Speaker 4: it's worth. Anyway more to come straight ahead, final thoughts,
- 49:29Speaker 4: keep it locked right here on Valdez.
- 49:31Speaker 5: This is America, This is America. He's making podcasting great again.
- 49:53Speaker 5: This is America with Rich Valdez.
- 50:03Speaker 4: All right for Amidia, Welcome back Rich Valdez, keeping your
- 50:06Speaker 4: company tonight Monday night, May the fourth be with you,
- 50:09Speaker 4: and I want to get into a couple of things
- 50:11Speaker 4: before we wrap up. One of them was I kept
- 50:15Speaker 4: telling you the last couple of nights about a story
- 50:18Speaker 4: about the Christian singer Amy Grant. And Amy Grant had
- 50:23Speaker 4: fallen off of my motorcycle back in twenty twenty two
- 50:26Speaker 4: and gotten a traumatic brain injury, which my dad also
- 50:28Speaker 4: had gotten. He'd gotten one in two thousand and seven,
- 50:30Speaker 4: and I learned a lot about that the hard way
- 50:33Speaker 4: as well. So I wanted to bring that up because
- 50:35Speaker 4: I think it kind of goes with what we were
- 50:37Speaker 4: just talking about. It also opens up the conversation to
- 50:40Speaker 4: something new, which is what she's learned from this, and
- 50:43Speaker 4: I thought it was pretty interesting. I want you to
- 50:45Speaker 4: listen to this.
- 50:46Speaker 19: You need incredible return of the pot. Hauter said, how
- 50:49Speaker 19: are you feeling it?
- 50:50Speaker 12: Am I drooling?
- 50:53Speaker 10: Well?
- 50:53Speaker 12: Actually, last I'm.
- 50:55Speaker 4: Just going to chime in there, because she says, am
- 50:57Speaker 4: I drooling at a red carpet interview she was giving.
- 51:00Speaker 4: And that was one of those things, right, the same
- 51:02Speaker 4: reason my dad was constantly getting aspiration pneumonia because he
- 51:06Speaker 4: was swallowing his own saliva was because he was producing
- 51:09Speaker 4: saliva that he couldn't swallow, which is a common side
- 51:13Speaker 4: effect of traumatic brain injuries, which causes you to build
- 51:16Speaker 4: the saliva up in your mouth and start to drool.
- 51:18Speaker 4: Which is why she said in my drooling jokingly because
- 51:21Speaker 4: she's aware that that's part of the side effects of
- 51:24Speaker 4: a traumatic brain injury. Just adding some color here, because
- 51:27Speaker 4: I know that that may have gone over your head
- 51:30Speaker 4: if you don't know about this stuff.
- 51:32Speaker 6: This week was my.
- 51:33Speaker 12: First time back on stage, and I can't think of
- 51:37Speaker 12: a more gentle way to get back into the limelight
- 51:40Speaker 12: than doing a Christmas concert with my dear friend Michael W.
- 51:43Speaker 18: Smith.
- 51:44Speaker 12: And I was nervous that first day. I forgot lyrics
- 51:47Speaker 12: to songs that I wrote. But you know, I'm just
- 51:51Speaker 12: on a healing journey. But this time here, you know,
- 51:55Speaker 12: love and kindness is also very healing. And I'm not kidding.
- 52:00Speaker 12: I feel filled up from.
- 52:03Speaker 7: Head to toe. How has your lesson I'm helped you through,
- 52:06Speaker 7: you know, your recovery?
- 52:08Speaker 12: You know, he just has been so patient, and Vince
- 52:11Speaker 12: has a way of kind of grounding the space that
- 52:14Speaker 12: we're in, even without saying a word. And I think
- 52:18Speaker 12: early on I said, what if I'm different, what if
- 52:20Speaker 12: I'm not the same, And he said, hey, every day
- 52:22Speaker 12: we wake up a little different and we love each
- 52:25Speaker 12: other and it's good. And I feel like my old rascally.
- 52:28Speaker 19: Selfie and you'rer coutent four, who know how.
- 52:33Speaker 11: How it's you, Harven.
- 52:34Speaker 7: It's been beautiful.
- 52:36Speaker 12: I think ever since COVID, audiences walk into a rehearsal
- 52:40Speaker 12: space with a different kind of appreciation to experiencing things together.
- 52:44Speaker 12: I mean, proximity matters, and I just think since then,
- 52:51Speaker 12: audiences and performers are just so appreciative for the gift
- 52:54Speaker 12: of each other. It's really, it's really, it makes everything
- 52:57Speaker 12: a beautiful share of experience really quick.
- 53:00Speaker 16: Any family know that?
- 53:02Speaker 4: All right, I'm gonna end it there because that's an
- 53:04Speaker 4: older interview, But she wanted to talk about her husband
- 53:06Speaker 4: and a little bit about you know, her experience, and
- 53:09Speaker 4: the story here is really about her husband, Vince Gill,
- 53:12Speaker 4: who's always been by his wife's side, always been a
- 53:15Speaker 4: great supporter. And you heard the reporter ask about him there,
- 53:19Speaker 4: saying that you know, he's in it for the long haul.
- 53:21Speaker 4: Every day they wake up a little bit of different anyway.
- 53:24Speaker 4: So during an appearance that she recently made on the
- 53:30Speaker 4: Wild Card with Rachel Martin podcast just on Thursday, Amy Grant,
- 53:36Speaker 4: Christian singer and songwriter who experienced this traumatic brain injury
- 53:39Speaker 4: back in twenty twenty two, she shared some sound advice
- 53:42Speaker 4: that she'd received from her country music star husband during
- 53:47Speaker 4: that recovery. And I think that this is something that
- 53:52Speaker 4: we could all kind of apply, right. I mean, while
- 53:55Speaker 4: it's specific to traumatic brain injuries here, because people are different,
- 53:58Speaker 4: right to a little bit. My dad who after this
- 54:04Speaker 4: experience of my dad in two thousand and seven, shortly
- 54:08Speaker 4: after that, I became his number one caregiver because he
- 54:13Speaker 4: forgot a lot of things, including who I was, but
- 54:16Speaker 4: he had an affinity for me. I was like his
- 54:18Speaker 4: youngest favorite son. He knew my name, but he would
- 54:21Speaker 4: see me and not recognize me half the time. Half
- 54:25Speaker 4: the time he'd be like, oh, hey, how you doing.
- 54:27Speaker 4: And I could tell he was treating me like I
- 54:28Speaker 4: was to help. One time I went to his room
- 54:31Speaker 4: to help him with something. He said, listen, you get
- 54:33Speaker 4: me my breakfast or I'll have you fired. I said,
- 54:35Speaker 4: excuse me, and I said, who are you gonna? Who's
- 54:38Speaker 4: gonna fire me and and I say it jokingly, right
- 54:41Speaker 4: because I'm like, bro, I didn't even want to do this.
- 54:44Speaker 4: And he says, my son Richard, and I thought to myself,
- 54:49Speaker 4: oh boy, this is going to be a doozy. I've
- 54:52Speaker 4: had so many interesting moments like that. But something that
- 54:56Speaker 4: Vince Gil told his wife here, he says, I just
- 55:00Speaker 4: remember in the fall of twenty twenty two, you know,
- 55:04Speaker 4: when her world had gone quiet. And she says, I
- 55:07Speaker 4: just remember saying to Vince and you heard her say it,
- 55:11Speaker 4: what if this is all I get back? What if
- 55:14Speaker 4: this is it? Because to me, it's like the world
- 55:17Speaker 4: is in a conversation and I'm down the hall and
- 55:21Speaker 4: in the back bedroom. This is like my response time.
- 55:25Speaker 4: It's a great way of describing things, right, because she
- 55:28Speaker 4: had some ability to recall, but it was slow and
- 55:32Speaker 4: you could hear her speech. She wasn't really suffering from
- 55:34Speaker 4: aphasia my dad did, where you try to say words
- 55:38Speaker 4: but they don't come out because you forgot the words,
- 55:40Speaker 4: and you know, and his response was a very supportive one.
- 55:45Speaker 4: I'm going to read a quote from this Fox News
- 55:47Speaker 4: article here saying, quote, I love making I love people
- 55:51Speaker 4: making me laugh. I love delivering a great one liner,
- 55:54Speaker 4: she continued, but that doesn't happen when you're like three
- 55:57Speaker 4: steps behind the rest of the room. And Vince just said, Amy,
- 56:01Speaker 4: life happens to every one of us every day. A
- 56:04Speaker 4: virtuosum musician can have a stroke and never be able
- 56:08Speaker 4: to pick up their instrument again. All you do is
- 56:10Speaker 4: just take the hand your dealt that particular day and
- 56:14Speaker 4: you live the life that you get. And I think
- 56:18Speaker 4: that's remarkable because you know what that's in reality, that's
- 56:20Speaker 4: what you've got to do. You've got to rebuild with
- 56:23Speaker 4: this new person, in this new state of mind. And
- 56:25Speaker 4: this goes for people that have dementia. It's very similar
- 56:29Speaker 4: to having a traumatic brain injury. The difference being with
- 56:32Speaker 4: dementia it's a little slower. With Alzheimer's, it's a lot
- 56:35Speaker 4: faster the degradation of the brain, And with a TBI,
- 56:39Speaker 4: a traumatic brain injury, you can recreate your pathways and
- 56:42Speaker 4: see healing and get back some of your memory, you know,
- 56:47Speaker 4: kind of shuffled up while you're still in the concussed
- 56:49Speaker 4: part of life, but some of that does settle and
- 56:52Speaker 4: you do get some of these memories back. Sometimes the
- 56:54Speaker 4: damage to that part of the brain is permanent, then
- 56:56Speaker 4: you don't get it back. But it's a fasting that
- 57:00Speaker 4: I think, you know, many of us don't know a
- 57:02Speaker 4: lot about, and that's a good thing that we don't know,
- 57:04Speaker 4: you know, at least not through personal experience. But I
- 57:08Speaker 4: was really happy to hear her talking about this and
- 57:10Speaker 4: shedding a little light on traumatic brain injuries because quite frankly,
- 57:14Speaker 4: it's just it's something that happens more often than we think.
- 57:17Speaker 4: And if I had more time, i'd get into the
- 57:19Speaker 4: stats on all of that, but suffice it to say,
- 57:24Speaker 4: there's more people in our lives and in our military
- 57:27Speaker 4: that suffer from traumatic brain injuries than we think. Anyway,
- 57:31Speaker 4: that's all I've got for today. I'm going to leave
- 57:33Speaker 4: it right there. Tomorrow I'll be forty eight years old,
- 57:36Speaker 4: so I'll be joining you. Sinko that Mayo, Happy birthday.
- 57:39Speaker 4: Me and I always close the program saying, if you
- 57:44Speaker 4: stand for nothing, you'll fall for anything, right Sarah Edmund
- 57:48Speaker 4: Burke and Lord Acton and others said that, And of
- 57:52Speaker 4: course the only thing necessary for evil to triumph is
- 57:56Speaker 4: for good people to do nothing.
- 57:58Speaker 7: So you know what to do.
