- 0:33Speaker 2: another way.
- 0:37Speaker 1: It's a new week. It just as the podcast, the
- 0:40Speaker 1: safe space where transparency meets transformation. It's your girl, Jessica
- 0:44Speaker 1: as Smith, and you know I do nothing without my girl.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Deesli rate does ail right, deli rate, deliarate, deliarrate, delarate. Hey,
- 0:55Speaker 3: best friends, sister, how are you doing?
- 1:00Speaker 1: I'm tied, I feel that I am. I am really sleepy,
- 1:05Speaker 1: like that's why we only got the foundation, the mascara
- 1:10Speaker 1: and a little gloss on my lips. Won't be ash.
- 1:12Speaker 1: You got this little bit lash and yeah it's lashing.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Yeah it's lash and the one one of them trying
- 1:18Speaker 1: to like to come. But hey we're here. If y'all went, ladies,
- 1:23Speaker 1: y'all understand it all right? Does Ray talk to him?
- 1:26Speaker 1: What you been up to? I've been in nothing. I mean,
- 1:31Speaker 1: yes something. People ask me that you've been doing a
- 1:33Speaker 1: lot and you don't know how to put language. I
- 1:35Speaker 1: don't know life for real, Like you know, I'm kind
- 1:38Speaker 1: of in this space where you know, they think like
- 1:43Speaker 1: opportunities are coming. You know, I'm working. I'm just kind
- 1:46Speaker 1: of finding this space in this lane, figuring that thing out,
- 1:50Speaker 1: and just I've really been I want to be like
- 1:53Speaker 1: Jesus and be real, real bad. That is like, you know,
- 1:57Speaker 1: Jesus was real. He was a real chill, calm felling.
- 1:59Speaker 1: I'm like, how do we how do we make that
- 2:01Speaker 1: into today? Because I feel like we be like all
- 2:04Speaker 1: the things going on. I was like, Lord having me
- 2:06Speaker 1: to be like Jesus. Yeah, you want to be like Jesus,
- 2:11Speaker 1: real bad, like my friend? Who is your mentor Jesus?
- 2:16Speaker 1: Who do you call Jesus? Who is your best friend?
- 2:19Speaker 1: Jesus Jesus ses a rate. Folks be thinking it's me
- 2:22Speaker 1: but the church girl, the church lady. I told the days,
- 2:28Speaker 1: I said, seem that clip is that friend I called
- 2:33Speaker 1: you the church lady. I said, oh God, so that's
- 2:36Speaker 1: gonna be he said, that's gonna be his thing. The church.
- 2:38Speaker 1: You remember, we know what that made me think about
- 2:40Speaker 1: that one time we was on the call and I
- 2:42Speaker 1: don't know if that was it was a coach maybe
- 2:45Speaker 1: Coach D or the coach D. Jesus tell you Jesus.
- 2:52Speaker 1: She said, she told me to sell Jesus okay, and
- 2:55Speaker 1: it made me mad, you know me. I was like,
- 2:58Speaker 1: you're limited, But now I embrace it. I embraced it
- 3:04Speaker 1: because you I mean, I know then it was was
- 3:06Speaker 1: probably like not under that, but like do you understand
- 3:09Speaker 1: it like more now like what she was trying to say,
- 3:12Speaker 1: I get it. I get it that my business leads
- 3:15Speaker 1: with my faith. Right. It didn't tell me to negate
- 3:18Speaker 1: the opportunity to be an entrepreneur. It's just say, hey,
- 3:23Speaker 1: my faith is what's going to attract people because with
- 3:27Speaker 1: my faith, that's how people learn to trust me. But
- 3:30Speaker 1: I think also, you know the recent episode that we
- 3:34Speaker 1: launched not too long ago about what was we talking
- 3:37Speaker 1: about waiting on the Lord? Huh why you write or
- 3:43Speaker 1: something like that, and I got some I got some
- 3:47Speaker 1: feedback on that. Really yeah, I got some feedback on that.
- 3:54Speaker 1: For one, I want to I only talk about one
- 3:56Speaker 1: of those feedback moments because I was I didn't know
- 4:00Speaker 1: what I was gonna get let's just talk about it.
- 4:02Speaker 1: So our favorite auntie, she had called me right and
- 4:06Speaker 1: she saw the clip that we used to promote. Now
- 4:10Speaker 1: let me put a pin right there. Y'all have to
- 4:14Speaker 1: know me, because you know, if y'alln't know what clip
- 4:17Speaker 1: we're talking about, we're talking about when I mentioned, you know,
- 4:20Speaker 1: I had been an adultry twice and we were talking
- 4:22Speaker 1: about why how I realized that, you know, what mistakes
- 4:26Speaker 1: I made and not waiting on the Lord, and so
- 4:30Speaker 1: in that clip, you know, it's twenty to thirty six,
- 4:32Speaker 1: cause you know, people run with clips all day, right,
- 4:34Speaker 1: they run with clips. And so shout out to Jayla,
- 4:37Speaker 1: who's another editor on our off or just ask she is.
- 4:41Speaker 1: She is contracted to higher So if y'all need someone,
- 4:45Speaker 1: shout out to Jamena. But she wrote me after that
- 4:50Speaker 1: it's like, hey, I want you to check out this clip.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Think of it as like a hook or whatever. And
- 4:55Speaker 1: before that she was she didn't know I had told
- 4:56Speaker 1: the Lord. I said, hey, Lord, or if there's a
- 5:01Speaker 1: clip that you want to use specifically or something like that,
- 5:05Speaker 1: you have to you utilize Jala to do it. Because
- 5:08Speaker 1: it's not that I was afraid. I just didn't have
- 5:11Speaker 1: enough boldness, like I don't have enough boldness to think
- 5:14Speaker 1: about posting it now because I was afraid that somebody
- 5:17Speaker 1: would say something. I was more concerned with the whole
- 5:22Speaker 1: idea of, oh, she chasing clout type thing. I understood
- 5:26Speaker 1: that some people were just not gonna understand what I'm
- 5:28Speaker 1: saying where I'm coming from, And so when she sent
- 5:31Speaker 1: it to me, it was my confirmation that, Okay, it's
- 5:34Speaker 1: time now so people can see it on the internet.
- 5:36Speaker 1: The folks y'all that rock with just ask y'all been
- 5:39Speaker 1: new y'all already knew that because we had already talked
- 5:42Speaker 1: about that. Okay, but the people that is like, hold up,
- 5:46Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. And I feel like the
- 5:48Speaker 1: Lord was saying, I can trust you with these people. Now,
- 5:51Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. You ain't. You ain't gotta
- 5:54Speaker 1: like me, You ain't gotta like that. I said that,
- 5:55Speaker 1: you can be talking about me behind my baby, baby.
- 5:57Speaker 1: I'm used to it at this point. I'm used to it.
- 6:00Speaker 1: They talk about me real bad, real bad. Some people
- 6:03Speaker 1: don't even know that. I know they talk about me
- 6:05Speaker 1: real bad, and it's okay, It's okay, And so pass
- 6:09Speaker 1: forward our favorite Auntie. She called me and she was like,
- 6:16Speaker 1: I had to stop what I was doing to call
- 6:18Speaker 1: you because I need to let you know something. I
- 6:20Speaker 1: want to talk to you about something. And when she
- 6:22Speaker 1: get real serious with me, I get nervous because I
- 6:25Speaker 1: feel like this rebuke is coming right because because favorite Auntie,
- 6:30Speaker 1: she lets Jessica out. She gives me the business okay,
- 6:37Speaker 1: and she got real serious. So I got nervous. I
- 6:40Speaker 1: was like, dang, she didn't she probably don't agree that
- 6:42Speaker 1: I posted it right now. Mind you, she's some things,
- 6:47Speaker 1: well a things specific thing that she didn't agree that
- 6:49Speaker 1: I posted. And I got you know what I'm saying.
- 6:53Speaker 1: I got the business handed to me. You you know
- 6:54Speaker 1: what I'm saying. So I'm thinking that this is about
- 6:57Speaker 1: to be another situation like that. But see she gets
- 6:59Speaker 1: to talk and she's like, Jessica, I want to know.
- 7:03Speaker 1: She said, I want you to know how extremely proud
- 7:05Speaker 1: I am of you, and and I know that you
- 7:10Speaker 1: had experienced it, like that's not a secret, but for
- 7:12Speaker 1: you to be so honest to the world about it,
- 7:15Speaker 1: she said, that's not just changing you or helping you,
- 7:18Speaker 1: but you are helping so many more people than you know,
- 7:23Speaker 1: then you understand just off the clips. She said, I
- 7:26Speaker 1: haven't even been able to watch the video the whole
- 7:29Speaker 1: episode yet, because that's not what the episode was about.
- 7:32Speaker 1: I was just using it example as example. Yeah. And
- 7:35Speaker 1: so she was just going about how proud she was
- 7:39Speaker 1: of me and how I was coming against a generational
- 7:45Speaker 1: curse of shame with the family. Yeah. Wow. And when
- 7:51Speaker 1: she said that, it hit me because you know, my
- 7:55Speaker 1: word has been you know, oh, I'm denouncing shame like
- 7:58Speaker 1: and the only way I can do that is through testifying.
- 8:01Speaker 1: That's the root of our our platform. People like, what's
- 8:04Speaker 1: your It's a big We are testifying, so can overcome? Okay,
- 8:08Speaker 1: Transparency leads to transformation and so when Jay, that's why
- 8:13Speaker 1: you have to have people in line with the Holy Spirit,
- 8:16Speaker 1: because I didn't. I was scared to do it from
- 8:18Speaker 1: a cloud chasing standpoint because I never want to seem
- 8:21Speaker 1: like I'm cloud chasing. It's a lot of stories I
- 8:23Speaker 1: can talk about, but if the Lord don't release me
- 8:26Speaker 1: to talk about them, I'm not talking about him. You
- 8:28Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. There's so much more in store
- 8:30Speaker 1: for you guys. When the door. So I think that
- 8:38Speaker 1: the idea, the idea of our favorite Auntie saying that
- 8:48Speaker 1: because she would she will stand ten toes down and
- 8:51Speaker 1: say when she doesn't agree with something. But to say
- 8:54Speaker 1: she was like, she wasn't just proud of me. She
- 8:56Speaker 1: was like, I don't, I didn't. I don't necessarily want
- 8:59Speaker 1: you to like not posted, but it's I have to learn,
- 9:02Speaker 1: because I am your aunt, how to navigate these things.
- 9:06Speaker 1: But she said, I had to look at you like
- 9:07Speaker 1: a woman in this moment, like you're a woman helping
- 9:11Speaker 1: other women and some men navigate through something. And it
- 9:15Speaker 1: was a lot of women. Surprisingly, it was some people.
- 9:17Speaker 1: This is why I think it was some people that
- 9:19Speaker 1: saw their clip and they said to themselves, oh, I
- 9:23Speaker 1: cannot like it because people would think I am associated
- 9:26Speaker 1: with it. How I know, because I would see clips
- 9:29Speaker 1: when I was an adult, Like while I was in
- 9:31Speaker 1: the adulteres loving God still an adultery, I was in adultery,
- 9:36Speaker 1: and I would not confirm or deny a clip. I
- 9:41Speaker 1: would watch it and then I would scroll, but the
- 9:43Speaker 1: clip would stay with me. It has had gotten like
- 9:47Speaker 1: a lot of views for something like that. We normally
- 9:51Speaker 1: post like you know what I'm saying, And so it's not.
- 9:54Speaker 1: I'm not even trying to clickbase you. I'm not trying
- 9:56Speaker 1: to do any of this. I'm just trying to tell
- 9:59Speaker 1: you my story. That's that's it. And so so hearing
- 10:05Speaker 1: my favorite Anti kind of affirmed me that would be
- 10:10Speaker 1: the word it was. It was a blessing. I love
- 10:13Speaker 1: that because it's not easy sometimes to to share things
- 10:20Speaker 1: that you've walked through, you know, but I love like
- 10:24Speaker 1: where and that's how the enemy wants to keep us
- 10:26Speaker 1: in these spaces of shame and guilt. You know, that's
- 10:29Speaker 1: how he keeps us muzzle. That's how he keeps us
- 10:31Speaker 1: in this cycle of orphan try. You know, like that's
- 10:36Speaker 1: so like like like you don't belong, like I don't belong,
- 10:39Speaker 1: like I can't go to my father and you know,
- 10:40Speaker 1: tell him these things how or die. But it's so
- 10:43Speaker 1: true that the Lord don't waste nothing like he know,
- 10:45Speaker 1: like he knew, he knew before we even got into
- 10:48Speaker 1: the earth, the decisions that we were going. I was,
- 10:50Speaker 1: I was in the shower this morning thinking about the
- 10:52Speaker 1: Lord because I love Jesus. I was thinking about the
- 10:55Speaker 1: Lord and I was like, Lord, you could have like
- 10:58Speaker 1: literally life is literally about the choices and the decisions
- 11:01Speaker 1: that we decide to make on a daily basis, right,
- 11:04Speaker 1: Because the Lord could have very easily put one tree
- 11:07Speaker 1: in the garden and told him, hey, you eat here,
- 11:09Speaker 1: this is where, this is where you get your food from,
- 11:11Speaker 1: and this is your purpose. You ten da da dah.
- 11:13Speaker 1: But no, he had to go and put these two
- 11:14Speaker 1: trees in them and be like, hey, you can have this,
- 11:16Speaker 1: but don't have this knowing because we you know our word,
- 11:21Speaker 1: you know how we do. We we're curious. You tell
- 11:23Speaker 1: us not to do something, what we're gonna do, We're
- 11:25Speaker 1: gonna go do it. And I was just like, Lord,
- 11:26Speaker 1: that is so interesting how you set it up like that.
- 11:30Speaker 1: But because he knows, he ain't gonna waste nothing, So
- 11:37Speaker 1: it's almost kind of like he's waiting for us to
- 11:42Speaker 1: come out of this space so that he can use
- 11:45Speaker 1: the testimony to begin to draw as a as a
- 11:48Speaker 1: drawing tool to bring people closer to him. That's so good.
- 11:52Speaker 1: And I think that one of the things that you
- 11:55Speaker 1: mentioned is like what shame keeps us from like we
- 11:59Speaker 1: have to realize the position change that shame has. This
- 12:05Speaker 1: is so good. So watch this, you guys. Everything has
- 12:08Speaker 1: an assignment. Everything that is made in this earth has
- 12:16Speaker 1: an assignment. This wall back here has an assignments holding
- 12:20Speaker 1: things up right, the floor that we are on, hold
- 12:23Speaker 1: this chair, it has an assignment. So when you understand
- 12:28Speaker 1: that simple concept that there's an assignment to the thing
- 12:32Speaker 1: that's attached to the thing right, when you understand that,
- 12:36Speaker 1: you understand that shame is targeting it its goal. It's
- 12:40Speaker 1: targeting the goal. What is the goal of shame? It
- 12:44Speaker 1: is to keep you away from what God has originally
- 12:48Speaker 1: created you to be and do and have and have.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Shame gets you closer to the enemy than y'all. Shame
- 12:58Speaker 1: gets you in a better relationship with the enemy, who
- 13:01Speaker 1: we called the devil. It gets you in a better
- 13:04Speaker 1: relationship with the enemy than it does with God, because
- 13:08Speaker 1: shame keeps you away from doing relationship with God. It does.
- 13:11Speaker 1: It made me think about something that the Holy Spirit
- 13:15Speaker 1: had revealed me. This was probably like last year sometimes
- 13:18Speaker 1: that a relationship with shame that I had was with money,
- 13:23Speaker 1: because there was a period where I didn't properly steward
- 13:30Speaker 1: some finances that I had and I felt shameful about it,
- 13:34Speaker 1: And so because I felt shame about it, what happened
- 13:37Speaker 1: unconsciously was it kept me from aligning to what God
- 13:41Speaker 1: was really what God really wants if I know I'm wealthy,
- 13:44Speaker 1: like I just know that. But I realized like I
- 13:47Speaker 1: didn't want to, like I didn't want to align to
- 13:49Speaker 1: that because of the shame and the guilt that I
- 13:51Speaker 1: felt from mismanaging what I did. So it's almost kind
- 13:54Speaker 1: of like I'm blocking what the Lord even even when
- 13:57Speaker 1: it comes to like clients and things like that. I'm
- 13:59Speaker 1: literally like, I'm just blocking it because I don't want
- 14:02Speaker 1: to mismanage what He's sending me, right, because because of
- 14:06Speaker 1: what I did in the past. So so we just
- 14:08Speaker 1: begin to talk it out and say we that's me
- 14:10Speaker 1: and the Lord and the older Spirit. We just begin
- 14:12Speaker 1: to talk talk that thing out, and I just begin
- 14:14Speaker 1: to renounce it and just repent and so and just
- 14:18Speaker 1: receive and just receive God's love and in his and
- 14:22Speaker 1: his sovereigntry, you know what I'm saying. And and I
- 14:25Speaker 1: was like, I did not realize the It's a cycle,
- 14:30Speaker 1: like the cycles that we continue to replay in our
- 14:35Speaker 1: lives because of like little the little small things like
- 14:39Speaker 1: shame give you know, fear, like those things just keep
- 14:43Speaker 1: being on repeat. Like back in the day, y'all may
- 14:46Speaker 1: be too young for this. We had cassette tapes. Yeah,
- 14:48Speaker 1: and it was a side inside B. So you have
- 14:50Speaker 1: to keep flipping it over like this. I feel like
- 14:52Speaker 1: that's kind of like what be happening in our lives.
- 14:54Speaker 1: We're like, oh this, don't play it out. Let me
- 14:55Speaker 1: flip it over. It's the same it's the same thing. Oh,
- 14:57Speaker 1: let me let me flip it back over. You know
- 14:59Speaker 1: what I'm saying. No, that's a good analogy. Listen. So
- 15:02Speaker 1: when you were talking earlier the scripture, the scripture shame
- 15:06Speaker 1: came up and okay, so the question is, you know,
- 15:08Speaker 1: we answer questions right, It's like, how do I rid
- 15:12Speaker 1: of shame? Right? Not only how to do I rid
- 15:14Speaker 1: of shame? But how can I keep shame at a distance? Right?
- 15:19Speaker 1: How can I address shame and keep shame at a
- 15:21Speaker 1: distance because I don't want to deal with anymore because
- 15:23Speaker 1: it's keeping me away from who I've called to be.
- 15:25Speaker 1: So the the scripture that personally helped me get free
- 15:33Speaker 1: was the whole chapter of John eight. Right. I ministered
- 15:38Speaker 1: to the Love Lady Center on July four of twenty
- 15:41Speaker 1: twenty four, and this this the scripture I ministered from
- 15:48Speaker 1: and it's it's talking about the adulterous woman. So I'm
- 15:50Speaker 1: gonna start at John Ate the second of the second verse,
- 15:57Speaker 1: and this is the Christian standard Bible. It says, at
- 15:59Speaker 1: dawn he went to the temple again, and all the
- 16:02Speaker 1: people were coming to him. He sat down and began
- 16:06Speaker 1: to teach them. Now, mind you that the Lord is
- 16:08Speaker 1: on a whole nother assignment. The Lord is teaching the people.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Verse three says the scribes and the Pharisees brought a
- 16:15Speaker 1: woman caught in adultery, making her stand in the center.
- 16:19Speaker 1: So what's happening is while Jesus is on one assignment,
- 16:22Speaker 1: the Pharisees, the people that are said they believe in God,
- 16:25Speaker 1: the people that believe that their righteous. Already they bring
- 16:29Speaker 1: this woman to Jesus. Verse four says a teacher. They
- 16:33Speaker 1: said to him, this woman has caught, was caught in adultery,
- 16:37Speaker 1: were caught in an act of committing adultery. So that
- 16:40Speaker 1: means they caught her in some stuff. They caught her
- 16:44Speaker 1: in whatever position she was in. Okay, it says in
- 16:48Speaker 1: the Law of Moses commanded us to stone such a woman.
- 16:53Speaker 1: So what do you say they asked this to trap
- 16:57Speaker 1: him in order that they might have evidence to accuse him.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Jesus stooped down and start writing in the ground with
- 17:04Speaker 1: his finger. When they persisted in questioning him, he stood
- 17:08Speaker 1: and said to them, the one without sining among you
- 17:12Speaker 1: should be the first to throw a stone at her.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Verse eight says then he stooped down again and continued
- 17:19Speaker 1: writing on the ground. When they heard this, they left
- 17:23Speaker 1: one by one, starting with the older men. Only he
- 17:29Speaker 1: was left with the woman in the center. Verse ten
- 17:32Speaker 1: says when Jesus stood up, he said to her, woman,
- 17:38Speaker 1: where are they? Has no one condemned you? Levin says
- 17:43Speaker 1: no one. Lord? She answered, neither do I condemn you?
- 17:47Speaker 1: Said Jesus, go and from now on do not sin anymore,
- 17:53Speaker 1: and send no more. So there's a lot in the
- 17:56Speaker 1: full I need for y'all. For one to go read
- 17:58Speaker 1: the full chapter of John eight. And I'm gonna make
- 18:00Speaker 1: the connection that I made in a moment. But when
- 18:03Speaker 1: you were talking, I thought about the position that we
- 18:07Speaker 1: have to have. How we not have to defend ourselves
- 18:10Speaker 1: from shame, but rid ourselves denounce ourselves from shame. One
- 18:14Speaker 1: of the biggest ways we have to denounce ourselves from
- 18:16Speaker 1: shame is disconnect with the people and things that has
- 18:20Speaker 1: caused a shame. If I didn't disconnect with the people
- 18:26Speaker 1: that that I was a shame of committing adultery with.
- 18:29Speaker 1: If I was still I don't think I could have ever,
- 18:33Speaker 1: you know, married into that knowing that this is how
- 18:36Speaker 1: we connected. I thought for a moment I did, But
- 18:40Speaker 1: I in my mind, I just couldn't do that, because,
- 18:44Speaker 1: for one, God is a god of order, right there
- 18:47Speaker 1: would we have never been loan. I won't say never
- 18:51Speaker 1: been because God can restore all things, anything, whatever, but
- 18:54Speaker 1: that would have been a very steep hill to walk.
- 18:57Speaker 1: And so one of the things is why you keep
- 19:00Speaker 1: you're able to remind of yourself. The reason why you're
- 19:03Speaker 1: shame of this thing is because you keep looking at it.
- 19:06Speaker 1: The people that brought you to Jesus to tell tell
- 19:08Speaker 1: them on you, like like they really said, teach you
- 19:12Speaker 1: so about this. This this lady was was was in position,
- 19:16Speaker 1: and the law said, and the law say that we
- 19:19Speaker 1: should stone her to death, right, we should hurt her,
- 19:22Speaker 1: we should harm her, She should she should be punished
- 19:25Speaker 1: for this act. Mind you, she ain't said a word yet,
- 19:31Speaker 1: so shame got her believing that she deserves something, should
- 19:34Speaker 1: she deserved because the law said that she deserved it,
- 19:38Speaker 1: that she should walk this thing out. It's like, you
- 19:40Speaker 1: know why I did it. That's how That's how it was.
- 19:41Speaker 1: He I said, you know what, Lord, I didn't done it.
- 19:44Speaker 1: Maybe I just don't give me marriage. I didn't. I didn't.
- 19:47Speaker 1: I didn't interrupted a marriage or not helped it. Don't
- 19:53Speaker 1: give me marriage. You know what I'm saying. It's cool.
- 19:56Speaker 1: You know, we're good. We're good. I can I can
- 19:58Speaker 1: take I to take my But that goes against the
- 20:02Speaker 1: word of the Lord. That the word that the Lord
- 20:04Speaker 1: gives me about me being a wife. And who's word,
- 20:08Speaker 1: Trump's who it's the Lord. So the first thing we
- 20:12Speaker 1: gotta do is disconnect with the thing that is keeping
- 20:17Speaker 1: us in the shame. And so you'll realize that as
- 20:22Speaker 1: we continue to go down, realizing that sometimes your accuser
- 20:28Speaker 1: is not necessarily just trying to accuse you. They're trying
- 20:31Speaker 1: to see how everybody else is gonna respond. Your accuser
- 20:36Speaker 1: is his target is not you. Come on, that's all right,
- 20:42Speaker 1: that's all right. Your accuser's target is not you. You're
- 20:47Speaker 1: just being used for the bullsy action. He knows that
- 20:52Speaker 1: God loves you so much that he gave his only
- 20:56Speaker 1: begotten son, that whosoever believe in him shall not parents,
- 20:59Speaker 1: but have ever lasted life. Shame don't come with that.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Shame does not come with everlasting life. Shame does not
- 21:06Speaker 1: come with being a part of the Kingdom of God,
- 21:10Speaker 1: because that God is not shameful of himself. So if
- 21:13Speaker 1: we are like our Father and shame is not attached
- 21:16Speaker 1: to him, then it gets attached to us. Then we
- 21:19Speaker 1: need to cleanse ourselves because we are supposed to be
- 21:21Speaker 1: identifiers of the Father. I hope y'all following me and
- 21:25Speaker 1: so ill preached. You realize that when the Pharisees watch this,
- 21:30Speaker 1: it's important that we know that they're Pharisees because Pharisees
- 21:33Speaker 1: in the Bible, they will renowned people. They studied the
- 21:36Speaker 1: Bible and the laws the law. They studied the law. Okay,
- 21:41Speaker 1: some of y'all legalistic Christians get on my last nerve.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Can y'all clip that some of y'all legalistic Christians get
- 21:51Speaker 1: on my last nerve because we we we make things
- 21:57Speaker 1: so like you don't supposed to do this, and you
- 21:59Speaker 1: don't supposed to be The Lord didn't even treat us
- 22:02Speaker 1: like that. The Lord does not treat us like that. Now,
- 22:06Speaker 1: you might be right and they were not wrong, but
- 22:10Speaker 1: still they were accuser because how they were managing her,
- 22:13Speaker 1: they were their target was trying to was to slip
- 22:18Speaker 1: Jesus up. So your shame. They took your shame and
- 22:22Speaker 1: tried to cash it in to disrupt the order of Jesus.
- 22:27Speaker 1: They tried to disrupt the grace of God. They tried
- 22:30Speaker 1: to disrupt your love of God. They tried to dismantle
- 22:35Speaker 1: your authority. Woo, my God. They tried to They tried
- 22:39Speaker 1: to come against the journey that God has come, has
- 22:44Speaker 1: brought you in because they coat you in something. But
- 22:47Speaker 1: their goal is to be able to be in your position.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Maybe it's maybe it's jealousy. Maybe they say, you know,
- 22:53Speaker 1: I don't found out about this about that person, and
- 22:56Speaker 1: my goal is to do this. I'm gonna use this
- 22:58Speaker 1: thing that they're shame the against you. But even then
- 23:03Speaker 1: she was still silent. Remember we talked about waiting on
- 23:06Speaker 1: the Lord the same episode that we were talking about
- 23:09Speaker 1: why I brought the whole Adulty thing up with the clip.
- 23:14Speaker 1: I can only imagine, Desiree that in this moment, this woman,
- 23:18Speaker 1: this adulterous woman. Where they named her the adulterous woman,
- 23:22Speaker 1: the woman that got caught I want to say in adultery,
- 23:25Speaker 1: because I don't even want to enable her as an
- 23:27Speaker 1: adulterous woman, the woman that got caught in adultery. I
- 23:33Speaker 1: can only believe that she's waiting on Jesus' response. She
- 23:37Speaker 1: is saying nothing. Desiree. She said not a word. She
- 23:43Speaker 1: allowed who y'all, She allowed these Pharisees, these people that
- 23:53Speaker 1: were so in relationship with the law and not the
- 23:56Speaker 1: love of God. She allowed them to speak on her
- 24:01Speaker 1: behalf and then God and Jesus. Then Jesus got to writing.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Then Jesus started writing stuff down which which I don't
- 24:11Speaker 1: know whatever it was conviction. They turned it turned right
- 24:15Speaker 1: back around on them to where they had to remove
- 24:18Speaker 1: themselves from the situation. And so sometimes I will say
- 24:23Speaker 1: this that sometimes the Lord will allow you to stand
- 24:28Speaker 1: in your shame. Because watch this, she still stood. She did.
- 24:32Speaker 1: She didn't get low when Jesus got low. She didn't.
- 24:35Speaker 1: She didn't start ducking and diving and all this stuff
- 24:38Speaker 1: like that, because they had not stolen her yet. They
- 24:40Speaker 1: were waiting on what Jesus' response would be too, So
- 24:43Speaker 1: while they're waiting on a response, she's got to wait
- 24:46Speaker 1: on that same response, which the response still captivated them
- 24:53Speaker 1: enough to where they had to leave, but captivated her
- 24:55Speaker 1: to where she was free the same It was the
- 25:01Speaker 1: same response, because why it says in the it says
- 25:08Speaker 1: Jesus stooped down and started writing on the ground when
- 25:11Speaker 1: they persisted in questioning him. So they still talking, He
- 25:15Speaker 1: stood up and said to them, the one without saying
- 25:18Speaker 1: among you should be the first to throw the stone
- 25:21Speaker 1: at her. Then he stooped down again, so not God
- 25:25Speaker 1: got down once. Then God came back up. Then he
- 25:28Speaker 1: got down again, stoop down again, continued to write on
- 25:32Speaker 1: the ground. When he heard this, they left one by one,
- 25:37Speaker 1: starting with the older men. Only he was left. He's
- 25:40Speaker 1: still down with the woman in the center, y'all. They
- 25:48Speaker 1: thinking they're positioning you to stone you, but they're really
- 25:54Speaker 1: putting you back in your rifle place. Good. They really
- 26:00Speaker 1: the shame really just led you back in alignment with God.
- 26:05Speaker 1: You're in the center, in front of Jesus, in front
- 26:09Speaker 1: of his righteousness, in front of his love, and in
- 26:14Speaker 1: the capacity of his defense. Jesus, y'all, in the capacity
- 26:20Speaker 1: of his defense the man. The man defended this woman,
- 26:23Speaker 1: and he says, He says, when they heard this, they
- 26:26Speaker 1: left one by one, starting with the older man. Only
- 26:29Speaker 1: he was left with the woman and stood in the center.
- 26:32Speaker 1: When Jesus stood up, Oh, I feel like church today
- 26:38Speaker 1: for your help coming, Oh Jesus. When Jesus stood up,
- 26:41Speaker 1: what happens when Jesus stands up? What I hear the
- 26:46Speaker 1: Lord say is saying, I sensed the Lord all the
- 26:48Speaker 1: spirit saying that. Sometimes you're thinking that you're standing in
- 26:53Speaker 1: the in the shame by yourself. You're thinking that you're
- 26:55Speaker 1: about to be convicted for something that you actually did.
- 26:59Speaker 1: It's not like we're not gonna even lie and act
- 27:02Speaker 1: like we didn't do it. You know what I'm saying.
- 27:03Speaker 1: She knew she did it. She got called bare handed
- 27:06Speaker 1: doing it. So you're standing in this place ready to
- 27:10Speaker 1: be convicted. And then you're just like, where is God?
- 27:15Speaker 1: So you're not even trying to do relationship with him.
- 27:18Speaker 1: You're not even thinking that salvation is tangible to you,
- 27:22Speaker 1: or righteousness or forgiveness is tangible to you, because God
- 27:25Speaker 1: just got low for you. God in his defense, he
- 27:28Speaker 1: just he's down low, just like he had to watch this,
- 27:33Speaker 1: just like he had to go to hell them three
- 27:35Speaker 1: days before raising back up. That's the think about that
- 27:41Speaker 1: the Lord is defending you. You can't see it, but
- 27:44Speaker 1: as they scatter you like, oh this this person finally
- 27:47Speaker 1: left me alone, and this person finally left me alone?
- 27:50Speaker 1: What do you think is happening? So by the time
- 27:53Speaker 1: God stands back up and he's speaking to you, you're
- 27:56Speaker 1: ready because everything else has moved out the way all
- 28:00Speaker 1: the naysayers has moved out the way he is. He's
- 28:03Speaker 1: making room to address you, put you back your I
- 28:08Speaker 1: can't recognize where I am. I can't recognize my position
- 28:12Speaker 1: because shame has been in the way. The people they
- 28:14Speaker 1: have been accusing me has has been in the way.
- 28:16Speaker 1: So it says when he stood up, he said to
- 28:18Speaker 1: her woman, where are they were your accusers? Where are
- 28:25Speaker 1: the things that are reminding you that you're not good enough?
- 28:28Speaker 1: Where are the things that reminding you that you was
- 28:30Speaker 1: an alcoholic? Where are the things that are reminding you?
- 28:36Speaker 1: Or the people? Is it your family members? Where are they?
- 28:42Speaker 1: Your ex best friend? Where are they the person that
- 28:44Speaker 1: you helped in spite of the person that you cared
- 28:47Speaker 1: a secret for them? But then your secret came out
- 28:48Speaker 1: and now they can't deal with you no more. Where
- 28:51Speaker 1: are they right? And he says, has no one condemned you?
- 28:57Speaker 1: He said, no one, Lord, She's answers that's the only thing.
- 29:01Speaker 1: Thank you, Holy Spirit. We are responding and defending ourselves
- 29:04Speaker 1: to the wrong people. She didn't talk until Jesus talked
- 29:09Speaker 1: to her. It's not sometimes what your response is, but
- 29:15Speaker 1: who are you responding to? Thank you, Holy Spirit. As
- 29:20Speaker 1: I was walking and guiding myself through this journey, I
- 29:26Speaker 1: have some really good friends, some really good people around me.
- 29:30Speaker 1: And it wasn't until even with Desiree. I mean, I
- 29:34Speaker 1: can't believe the everything that I told Doesiray, I couldn't
- 29:38Speaker 1: believe it right out of all that. It wasn't until
- 29:46Speaker 1: I stood with myself and Jesus on what I was
- 29:49Speaker 1: ashamed of to understand what his heart was for me.
- 29:55Speaker 1: And it wasn't him condemning me. It was him wanted
- 30:01Speaker 1: me to know that freedom was accessible to me again. Yeah,
- 30:05Speaker 1: that I maybe not had to experience true freedom even
- 30:10Speaker 1: though I called myself a daughter of God. And I
- 30:14Speaker 1: don't even know if I fully called myself or recognized
- 30:17Speaker 1: myself as a daughter of God, because I was on
- 30:21Speaker 1: the outside. You know, he gave me the gifts. You
- 30:24Speaker 1: know what they say, the gift comes without repentance, right,
- 30:27Speaker 1: So I have all these gifts, I'm made to speak
- 30:29Speaker 1: to everybody and all this stuff like that. But I'm
- 30:31Speaker 1: going home in shame. I'm going home in shame. I
- 30:37Speaker 1: could take shame off real quick because the folks need me,
- 30:40Speaker 1: they need me. They I need to pray and I
- 30:41Speaker 1: need to do this, and I need to do that.
- 30:44Speaker 1: But it wasn't until I said, you know what, Lord,
- 30:48Speaker 1: this is what has happened, this is what this is
- 30:52Speaker 1: what is going on, and him to respond to me
- 30:59Speaker 1: and says, who else has who's condemned you? Right? The
- 31:02Speaker 1: people were louder or even the perception watch this, even
- 31:06Speaker 1: what I perceived people would digest me as when they
- 31:11Speaker 1: found out right, I had to get into a posture
- 31:17Speaker 1: to where from when I was back in my rifle
- 31:20Speaker 1: position with God still shame. Right, I was still in
- 31:23Speaker 1: a shame, but my position led me to the promise
- 31:27Speaker 1: of God, which is freedom. What we have to understand
- 31:31Speaker 1: is freedom is our birthright. We can't keep giving our
- 31:36Speaker 1: birth right away. Who was that they ate the soup
- 31:41Speaker 1: because it was he was Isaiah? Was he Isaiah Jacob Jacob?
- 31:44Speaker 1: Uh huh? He fed that brother? Uh huh. Brother gave
- 31:50Speaker 1: gave up his birthright. And what happens when you give
- 31:54Speaker 1: up your birthright? You become frustrated, You come you feel
- 31:57Speaker 1: like you're under value. Right because of a moment. It
- 32:01Speaker 1: was a moment because he was hungry. I was lonely.
- 32:08Speaker 1: It was a moment of loneliness that led me to,
- 32:11Speaker 1: you know, not being clear on moving forward with certain people.
- 32:16Speaker 1: It was a moment. But it also only takes a
- 32:21Speaker 1: moment to be redeemed. It also only takes a moment
- 32:25Speaker 1: to be restored. It also only takes a moment to
- 32:28Speaker 1: be forgiven. But you have to be in position for
- 32:31Speaker 1: that in the center now sideway, not no target, bullseye. Right.
- 32:40Speaker 1: And so what I love about this is that she
- 32:44Speaker 1: only responded to God, and her response to God led
- 32:48Speaker 1: to her saying, neither do I. This is good. Oh.
- 32:56Speaker 1: His response to her, Lea was saying, neither do I.
- 33:02Speaker 1: They can't condemn they not to condemn you. I didn't
- 33:04Speaker 1: already handle them. I handle them. And I'm asking you
- 33:10Speaker 1: this question because I need you to know the reason
- 33:13Speaker 1: why they gotta let you go is because I let
- 33:14Speaker 1: you go. Oh God, thank you Holy Spirit. The reason
- 33:18Speaker 1: why they can't do nothing because I'm not gonna do nothing.
- 33:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna protect you. I know you were wrong. I
- 33:24Speaker 1: know I know what you did. I seen it when
- 33:26Speaker 1: you did it. I experienced it when you did it. Right,
- 33:31Speaker 1: But they can't do anything because I'm not going to
- 33:34Speaker 1: do it. They can try, but I'm not gonna do it.
- 33:38Speaker 1: I settled that for you, who thank you Lord. Now
- 33:42Speaker 1: then he gives her an assignment. Your freedom has an assignment,
- 33:50Speaker 1: just like shame had an assignment. Freedom has an assignment.
- 33:55Speaker 1: And with the assignment, with freedom, you go and you
- 33:59Speaker 1: sin and no more. Freedom allows you not to sin.
- 34:05Speaker 1: Does a ray for me? This is good. I'm getting happy.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Freedom assigns you to be and to have lack in
- 34:17Speaker 1: sin because you won't. Freedom so bad, Well, I don't have.
- 34:22Speaker 1: When I tell you I'm on this celibasion, I mean no,
- 34:25Speaker 1: I'm not on a Celebatesis journey. I'm a Lord. I'm
- 34:31Speaker 1: on this journey right, and I can't say like as
- 34:35Speaker 1: grown as I am I started, you know, busting it
- 34:38Speaker 1: down at seventeen years old, right, I have not you
- 34:44Speaker 1: know this is the longest I've been without being touched,
- 34:50Speaker 1: breathed on, kissed, you know what I'm saying. So this
- 34:53Speaker 1: is a lit for me. But then I started thinking
- 34:57Speaker 1: about my freedom, and I'm like, our, Wait, it cost
- 35:03Speaker 1: me too much to get here. It cost me too much.
- 35:06Speaker 1: I had to be people prepared to be stone to
- 35:09Speaker 1: get here. I had fear and anxiety had me so
- 35:14Speaker 1: wrapped up. And so now I ain't gotta deal with that.
- 35:16Speaker 1: I'mre this with freedom. You know what. The assignment is working.
- 35:22Speaker 1: My assignment to be free keeps me out of sin.
- 35:26Speaker 1: It's good, It's so good. This is a good revelation.
- 35:31Speaker 1: Just and I know, like there may be somebody thinking, well,
- 35:36Speaker 1: how how do I not how how how can I
- 35:39Speaker 1: do this? Like how am I supposed to like walk
- 35:42Speaker 1: this thing out? And I think that we forget that.
- 35:46Speaker 1: It's not in our own strength and our own mind, right,
- 35:50Speaker 1: it's by the power of the Lord, meaning we can't
- 35:56Speaker 1: do any of this on our own. It's only through
- 35:59Speaker 1: Christ because God loved us like he knew. He knew
- 36:06Speaker 1: that we were being born into a world that was
- 36:09Speaker 1: full of sin, which is why he sent his son
- 36:14Speaker 1: to die for our sins. Because you know in the Bibles,
- 36:18Speaker 1: they was back in the Bible days, the the the
- 36:21Speaker 1: old Testaments, they had to text animals and sacrifice and
- 36:24Speaker 1: and the blood and things like that. Well, God loved
- 36:28Speaker 1: each one of us so much that he gave his
- 36:30Speaker 1: son to die, to shed his blood for us to
- 36:35Speaker 1: be able to live in the power and the righteousness
- 36:38Speaker 1: of the Lord. I was as you were, uh talking,
- 36:40Speaker 1: I found I was wonder just the j D find
- 36:43Speaker 1: some definitions of some things. And I came across the
- 36:46Speaker 1: article from uh, it's it's the nea Maya community. Right,
- 36:52Speaker 1: I'm just gonna read this one little part because this
- 36:54Speaker 1: is kind of when you talked about him her her
- 36:56Speaker 1: standing in the center. I thought about, like we can
- 37:00Speaker 1: stand because we're standing in Christ, you know. And so
- 37:04Speaker 1: it says what is righteousness? The Bible tells us that
- 37:07Speaker 1: outside of God, no one is righteous. This is in Romans.
- 37:10Speaker 1: And it's so cool because I've been kind of slow
- 37:13Speaker 1: walk in Romans, like I'll read a little bit here
- 37:14Speaker 1: and I'll be asking questions and stuff like that, and
- 37:19Speaker 1: because we sometimes feel like not like orphans, but like
- 37:24Speaker 1: does God really love us like that? You know what
- 37:26Speaker 1: I'm saying. And so it says, who can stand outside
- 37:31Speaker 1: of God. No, no one is righteous, but that righteousness
- 37:35Speaker 1: comes through faith in Jesus Christ. It comes through faith
- 37:39Speaker 1: in Jesus Christ. Right, you are righteous when you live
- 37:43Speaker 1: your life in line with God's will, because His righteousness
- 37:47Speaker 1: is expressed through you. None of us live completely without
- 37:50Speaker 1: sin while on this earth, but once saved, you can
- 37:54Speaker 1: live by His power in such a way that He
- 37:56Speaker 1: is pleased. His righteous business working in you causes you
- 38:02Speaker 1: to please God through your actions, through your thoughts, and
- 38:04Speaker 1: through your behavior. This righteousness is a manifestation of having
- 38:08Speaker 1: your existence in Christ. When you live and move and
- 38:13Speaker 1: have your being in Him, one of the fruits that
- 38:16Speaker 1: you bear is a righteous lifestyle. So that's a part
- 38:20Speaker 1: of that freedom that you were talking about, Like you're
- 38:22Speaker 1: able to the freedom has the assignment not because we're
- 38:27Speaker 1: perfect or not because we were doing things right. It's
- 38:29Speaker 1: because that we are leaning and trusting in God. And
- 38:32Speaker 1: I believe a part of that is the transparency and
- 38:35Speaker 1: the relationship that we're getting to build with Him. You
- 38:37Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, Like even me saying, Lord, you know, dang,
- 38:41Speaker 1: I really have been feeling shameful because I've made some
- 38:44Speaker 1: mistakes with money. You know what I'm saying. And I
- 38:47Speaker 1: know you're calling me to a higher place to be
- 38:49Speaker 1: able to really fund the kingdom and things like that,
- 38:51Speaker 1: but i don't even know if I want it, because
- 38:53Speaker 1: I'm afraid I'm shameful that I'm going to mismanage the
- 38:56Speaker 1: blessing because I feel like that was a blessing that
- 38:59Speaker 1: I mismanaged. And so when we just begin to open
- 39:01Speaker 1: up and be honest with the Lord, because he already know,
- 39:04Speaker 1: it gives him permission to move in and to be
- 39:07Speaker 1: able to show us, guide us, lead us. Hey say this,
- 39:10Speaker 1: Say hey, I want you to tell your testimony to
- 39:13Speaker 1: these people. I know you don't want to, but there's
- 39:16Speaker 1: another level of freedom, there's another level of deliverance that
- 39:20Speaker 1: comes when we're obedient. We're able to testify. And it's
- 39:22Speaker 1: not in your own will, in the power of the Lord.
- 39:26Speaker 1: It's not in your own will, but in the power
- 39:28Speaker 1: of the Lord. And so when the Lord tells you
- 39:32Speaker 1: you're ready, believe him. Like we start thinking about the
- 39:38Speaker 1: outside factors, we start thinking about the men that I
- 39:40Speaker 1: have the stone prepared to stone us. But God already
- 39:44Speaker 1: has a strategy for that. I mean the man, I
- 39:48Speaker 1: already got the plan. You know what I'm saying. When
- 39:50Speaker 1: he says, hey, I need you to do this, the
- 39:52Speaker 1: strategy is already set for the people the response because
- 39:55Speaker 1: he already knew that you was gonna think about that.
- 39:57Speaker 1: He already knew that you was gonna consider the outside factors.
- 40:00Speaker 1: What happens when they find out right? And so people
- 40:04Speaker 1: look at me and they asked me, doesy what what
- 40:09Speaker 1: made me start testifying? It was because I I was
- 40:17Speaker 1: obeying God now my first time testifying about it. It
- 40:22Speaker 1: was on I was ministering to my godmother's church. Right,
- 40:26Speaker 1: they have like a unique services online and they meet
- 40:29Speaker 1: on like Google meets or something like that, and I
- 40:34Speaker 1: felt like the Lord was just like saying, it's time,
- 40:38Speaker 1: you know, and he gave me the The difference between
- 40:42Speaker 1: between confessing and testifying, right, Confessing allows you, you know,
- 40:50Speaker 1: to be redeemed, re renewed, be I'm trying to remember
- 40:57Speaker 1: what the Lord had gave me on that, but basically,
- 40:59Speaker 1: the confession is the first step to your freedom. Right,
- 41:04Speaker 1: confessing your sins to one another. I think that's James,
- 41:06Speaker 1: if I'm not mistaken, so that you we gotta find it.
- 41:10Speaker 1: So I can so I can get it hold on,
- 41:13Speaker 1: you know, Confess your sins to one another, because I
- 41:20Speaker 1: don't your sins to one another. Okay, it's James five sixteen.
- 41:31Speaker 1: I'm gonna read the new King James version because it
- 41:33Speaker 1: just came up. Confess your trespasses to one another and
- 41:37Speaker 1: pray for one another that you you may be healed. Okay,
- 41:42Speaker 1: so watch this. Remember we went over if then statements.
- 41:46Speaker 1: If you confess, then you experienced healing. Right, So I was.
- 41:52Speaker 1: I was stuck in the face of confessing. I kept
- 41:55Speaker 1: confessing to my friends. You know what I'm saying. I
- 41:57Speaker 1: kept confessing, but you know, I still felt this burden.
- 42:02Speaker 1: I still felt awake, even though I was supposed to
- 42:05Speaker 1: be healed, right, I didn't feel like I could I
- 42:07Speaker 1: could freely talk to it with Desilray. You know what
- 42:09Speaker 1: I'm saying. Just use her example because y'all know her
- 42:11Speaker 1: and stuff like that. But does a Ray. That's why
- 42:16Speaker 1: you gotta watch what friend who your friends are, because
- 42:19Speaker 1: it shouldn't be a question mark. Should I be able
- 42:20Speaker 1: to tell my friend this, Right, I'm just kind of
- 42:24Speaker 1: hinting at that I didn't have to guess if desil
- 42:27Speaker 1: Ray was gonna still be my friend. It tested our friendship,
- 42:31Speaker 1: It tested out where we were in our friendship. But
- 42:35Speaker 1: I didn't feel like she was gonna leave me, and
- 42:37Speaker 1: she didn't. Y'all see, she stuck. She loved me real
- 42:39Speaker 1: bad down. And so confessing leads to healing. Testifying leads
- 42:48Speaker 1: to freedom. Tell us a difference, Jessica. So me confessing
- 42:53Speaker 1: to you is because for one, I have a It says,
- 42:57Speaker 1: it's like a brotherly sisterly connection. Right, there's a covenant understanding,
- 43:02Speaker 1: but it's still in house, right, And so you know
- 43:06Speaker 1: something about me that others don't know, and it's it,
- 43:10Speaker 1: but it doesn't provide. It doesn't have an assignment. Right,
- 43:14Speaker 1: my confessing to you. The assignment of my confession is
- 43:18Speaker 1: for me to be healed. My healing leads me enough
- 43:23Speaker 1: to where I can testify, which brings freedom not only
- 43:26Speaker 1: to me, but to others. Sometimes your testimony allows people
- 43:32Speaker 1: to experience the first step of freedom, which is being healed.
- 43:36Speaker 1: And so when I say this out loud, people are like, oh,
- 43:40Speaker 1: that's the church lady. The church lady experienced adultery. The
- 43:45Speaker 1: church lady is like me, let me go talk to
- 43:49Speaker 1: the church lady. Let me go listen to this church lady.
- 43:53Speaker 1: They still because how they identify me. They identify Jessica
- 43:58Speaker 1: as the church lady. So when the church lady says
- 44:01Speaker 1: she fail, now the church lady is relatable. M Now
- 44:06Speaker 1: we're building kingdom. Now we're being brick by brick. Now,
- 44:10Speaker 1: the more times you hear me say oh yeah, I
- 44:12Speaker 1: experienced adultery, it it gives me a open window. And
- 44:17Speaker 1: that's why I love I love pastor Mark Matching. He
- 44:21Speaker 1: would forever have a He is a pinnacle point for
- 44:23Speaker 1: me in my life. Yeah. If I never experienced him testifying,
- 44:28Speaker 1: I wouldn't have been interested in testifying. What led me?
- 44:31Speaker 1: There was he said it on the podcast. No, he
- 44:34Speaker 1: said it in the meeting. In the meeting, in a
- 44:36Speaker 1: meeting with BGTV, he said it, and what it is
- 44:40Speaker 1: he was a He was like, hey, I my name
- 44:42Speaker 1: is Mark Matching. I used to be addicted to pornography
- 44:45Speaker 1: and the Lord freed me. What never N When I
- 44:52Speaker 1: say never experienced that, W I N. I didn't experience
- 44:56Speaker 1: small group testimony? Yeah I didn't. I didn't experience the
- 45:00Speaker 1: uh you know, the confession which I thought I was testifying, right,
- 45:06Speaker 1: But for somebody to staying on stage a platform, have
- 45:09Speaker 1: a mic, no mic projective voice to say hey, I
- 45:11Speaker 1: used to do this and I don't do it no more.
- 45:13Speaker 1: What I had heard this lady say this of the
- 45:17Speaker 1: last weekend. I was at a like a mini retreat
- 45:21Speaker 1: and I had missed her her session, but afterwards we
- 45:26Speaker 1: were talking and she was just kind of we was
- 45:28Speaker 1: just talking. She was talking about a journey and stuff
- 45:30Speaker 1: like that, and she had mentioned She's like, Lord, I'm
- 45:32Speaker 1: just tired of telling this part of my testimony. I'm
- 45:35Speaker 1: just tired of talking about this thing. And you know,
- 45:37Speaker 1: some people will say, you know, hey, you know, well
- 45:41Speaker 1: well mention. I've heard people say this, like, like, you
- 45:45Speaker 1: don't have to say that part of your testimony anymore.
- 45:47Speaker 1: You don't have to say that, you know, because you're
- 45:48Speaker 1: not there. Da da da. But what I'm what I'm
- 45:51Speaker 1: hearing is that the Lord will use what he wants
- 45:56Speaker 1: to use when he needs to use it, right, because
- 45:59Speaker 1: the truth of the matter is, yeah, you may have
- 46:00Speaker 1: told your testimony in this space, but this is a
- 46:03Speaker 1: whole other group of people over here who are bound,
- 46:05Speaker 1: who are broken, who needs to hear a piece of
- 46:07Speaker 1: what you have so that they can begin to walk
- 46:09Speaker 1: in their healing. And we have to be obedient and
- 46:13Speaker 1: walk in be human humanity, and we need this word situation.
- 46:18Speaker 1: And the thing about that desiree is when I can
- 46:22Speaker 1: remember saying the first setting, saying this right, my first testimonial,
- 46:29Speaker 1: as I would say, I cried. I cried afterwards. I
- 46:35Speaker 1: cried so much afterwards because for one, my godmother was there,
- 46:41Speaker 1: my godsisters was on the line. It was people I
- 46:44Speaker 1: didn't know. I didn't really care about that, but they
- 46:45Speaker 1: were there. And when I was younger, I got accused of,
- 46:48Speaker 1: you know, wanting ear by the man, you know what
- 46:50Speaker 1: I'm saying, which that was not the case for me,
- 46:53Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, But things that were said
- 46:56Speaker 1: to me and about me, you know, I didn't want
- 46:59Speaker 1: to prove in make them feel like they were right,
- 47:01Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. And so just being attached
- 47:04Speaker 1: to my childhood. My godmother loves me down like she
- 47:07Speaker 1: loved me real bad. She looks she has unexplainable love
- 47:11Speaker 1: for me. And so she called me afterwards and she said,
- 47:15Speaker 1: baby girl, I'm so proud of you. She said, let
- 47:18Speaker 1: me tell you this. She said, you're still a woman
- 47:20Speaker 1: of God. Let me not cry. Come on, You're still
- 47:22Speaker 1: a woman of God. I still value you, I still
- 47:25Speaker 1: look you at the same like, because I was really
- 47:27Speaker 1: worried how because she really when I say she regards
- 47:31Speaker 1: me and she loves me down, I know that I
- 47:34Speaker 1: know somebody like I know she'll fight for me. You
- 47:37Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. And so when she called me
- 47:40Speaker 1: to a firm and pour back into me and then
- 47:45Speaker 1: let me know the testimony of other women that was listening,
- 47:49Speaker 1: like how it freed them, then it was like, Jessica,
- 47:53Speaker 1: you don't have a choice, because if your mission is christ,
- 47:57Speaker 1: if your mission is building the Kingdom of God, your
- 47:59Speaker 1: testimony is a requirement. It's a required requirement. And so
- 48:05Speaker 1: I think for believers that have experienced things, we have
- 48:09Speaker 1: a job to do. We have to do better at
- 48:12Speaker 1: setting up people up for freedom. We have a job
- 48:17Speaker 1: to tell people, hey, I went through this, and not
- 48:20Speaker 1: to be like, oh what it is me. I don't
- 48:22Speaker 1: want to keep talking about this just because it's like
- 48:24Speaker 1: always gonna do something to the algorithm. I could care
- 48:26Speaker 1: about an algor or rhythm. Okay, I could really care, right,
- 48:31Speaker 1: I can really care. What I care about is the
- 48:33Speaker 1: person that's attached the ear that is attached to this sound,
- 48:36Speaker 1: the person that's visually seeing this right now gets to
- 48:40Speaker 1: the point where they can say, you know what, freedom
- 48:44Speaker 1: is actually accessible to me because Jessica, because there's a ray,
- 48:48Speaker 1: because who met my friend, my pastor they you know,
- 48:51Speaker 1: they were understand about That's why I love pastor A
- 48:54Speaker 1: when she came to the podcast, not knowing that I
- 48:56Speaker 1: was experiencing stuff and said, I'm everyone everyone. I when
- 49:02Speaker 1: I say I, that night change that night with me.
- 49:06Speaker 1: I loved her before, but that night pastor A Ga
- 49:10Speaker 1: gave me I was like, oh, gee, whatever if she
- 49:12Speaker 1: asked me to come and just be like, you know,
- 49:14Speaker 1: care her blanket for her, That's how I feel like.
- 49:16Speaker 1: That's how much she changed my life in that moment.
- 49:19Speaker 1: And so we have to really position ourselves not to
- 49:23Speaker 1: just legalistic also not acting like oh the grease of
- 49:29Speaker 1: mercy of God. No, no, no, it's some order. There's a
- 49:32Speaker 1: standard to being a Christian. There's a standard to the
- 49:35Speaker 1: being a believer in Jesus Christ. We' not gonna lie
- 49:38Speaker 1: to you about that. However, there's a journey to get there. Okay,
- 49:42Speaker 1: there's a journey to be able to fully embrace and mature. Right,
- 49:47Speaker 1: there's a maturity. And so my heart for testifying and
- 49:55Speaker 1: being the living testimony is that people know that they'll
- 49:58Speaker 1: be comfortable. But because if I don't make you comfortable,
- 50:02Speaker 1: how do you believe that Jesus will? How can you
- 50:05Speaker 1: connect the dots? You know what I'm saying. We have
- 50:08Speaker 1: this thing where like the church don't do this in
- 50:10Speaker 1: the church, and all these complaints. Well, I'm the church.
- 50:16Speaker 1: I'm the Church. I am what the Lord talks about
- 50:20Speaker 1: in the Bible, to where he still dresses me up
- 50:23Speaker 1: as his bride every day. He still says I do.
- 50:26Speaker 1: He still says, I'm committed to you. Forever is a
- 50:30Speaker 1: long time. That's how long I love you. That's how
- 50:36Speaker 1: long he loves you. Forever. I love that song. It's
- 50:42Speaker 1: because it reminds me that nothing can break the love
- 50:46Speaker 1: of God. I'm like, the Lord is literally committed to you.
- 50:52Speaker 1: He's committed to me. And when we know that, we know, Okay,
- 50:57Speaker 1: I might have missed up here, but let me go
- 50:59Speaker 1: ahead and talk to Let's let me go talk to
- 51:02Speaker 1: my father, let me go talk to the man that
- 51:05Speaker 1: calls me the bride. Right, And so in closing, I
- 51:11Speaker 1: just want us to remember that the adulterous woman show
- 51:15Speaker 1: up while Jesus was teaching. He was already in assignment.
- 51:22Speaker 1: And I think I don't think it's by happenstance that
- 51:26Speaker 1: the adulterous the not I said I was gonna call
- 51:28Speaker 1: adultterus woman, the woman that experienced adultery, met Jesus when
- 51:33Speaker 1: he was teaching about who he was. If you read
- 51:38Speaker 1: the chapter, you'll see there are questions about this is
- 51:42Speaker 1: where you get, you know, God just describing himself and
- 51:47Speaker 1: John like as a light and just who he is.
- 51:51Speaker 1: And it is it's alone. It's a it's a long chapter,
- 51:55Speaker 1: but it's so it's so necessary. And in the same
- 51:59Speaker 1: chapter you'll find where it says starting in chapter thirty four,
- 52:05Speaker 1: I'm gonna read not chapter, but verse thirty four of eight,
- 52:08Speaker 1: and I'm gonna read so thirty six, and I want
- 52:10Speaker 1: you to really hone in on thirty six it says
- 52:15Speaker 1: Jesus responded, truly, I tell you, everyone who commits sin
- 52:20Speaker 1: is a slave to sin. A slave does not remain
- 52:24Speaker 1: in the household forever, but a son does remain forever.
- 52:29Speaker 1: Thirty six says, so if the sun set you free,
- 52:35Speaker 1: you really will be free. We have to understand that
- 52:42Speaker 1: we are sons and daughters of the king. The only
- 52:46Speaker 1: people that are committed to sin are slaves. But when
- 52:50Speaker 1: you start to properly identify yourself and you put yourself
- 52:53Speaker 1: in your proper position, you get to experience your birthright,
- 53:00Speaker 1: which is freedom. God already done the hard work to
- 53:03Speaker 1: make sure that you were free by sending his only
- 53:06Speaker 1: begotten son. He's done the hard work. What shame is
- 53:12Speaker 1: trying to do is block you from your freedom. And
- 53:15Speaker 1: so my declaration to you, my charge to you, is
- 53:19Speaker 1: choose to be free. What does that journey to freedom
- 53:23Speaker 1: look like for you? What does that journey look like
- 53:26Speaker 1: for you? To say, you know what, this might have happened,
- 53:30Speaker 1: but this is not who I am. In the last
- 53:33Speaker 1: e W, when the episode that we've been referring to,
- 53:37Speaker 1: I kept saying, you know what I don't I don't
- 53:40Speaker 1: like resembling myself. I thought I was an adulterous woman
- 53:47Speaker 1: instead of a woman who experienced adultery. When you start
- 53:52Speaker 1: looking at yourself as the person that experienced the adultery,
- 53:55Speaker 1: instead of calling yourself the adjective, attaching that ajctive that
- 54:00Speaker 1: it does not belong to you, you're disrupting the DNA
- 54:04Speaker 1: that God has put in you, has already called you.
- 54:07Speaker 1: You're disrupting your identity, and so start appropriating yourself correctly.
- 54:13Speaker 1: Say I'm free. God has chosen me. God has chosen
- 54:18Speaker 1: me for time such as this, and freedom is my
- 54:21Speaker 1: birthright because who the Son sets free is truly free.
- 54:27Speaker 1: I hope this blessed you. Let's talking to the comments
- 54:31Speaker 1: until next week. Until next time, remember life could be
- 54:35Speaker 1: much more simple if you just ask. See you guys later.
- 54:44Speaker 1: Thank you for tuning in to this week's episode. Since
- 54:48Speaker 1: you've made it this far, you might as well connect
- 54:50Speaker 1: with us on all social media platforms at the Jessica S. Smith.
- 54:55Speaker 1: I know I won't see you back until next week,
- 54:57Speaker 1: but until then, remember to love always yourself and always think.
- 55:04Speaker 2: Thank God for one another day. Hey, hey, I know
- 55:10Speaker 2: we could be another way. Hey, pray thank God for
- 55:16Speaker 2: another day. Hey hey, I'm just thankful another day. Hey Hey,
- 55:25Speaker 2: another day? Oh, another day wise, another day to get
- 55:29Speaker 2: it right, another day to rise up, another day living
- 55:32Speaker 2: another day we loved ones. I always remember hold it
- 55:35Speaker 2: down for a ball one.
- 55:36Speaker 1: Yeah,
