- 0:00Speaker 1: Now, from the Star Reynolds Sports Desk, your 93.3 KJR
- 0:04Speaker 1: FM Sports Headlines.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Good morning.
- 0:07Speaker 3: Happy Monday. Headlines are brought to you by Frostbrew Chord Light.
- 0:10Speaker 3: As cold as the Rockies, the Seahawks. Let's step everyone
- 0:13Speaker 3: back to Kenny Easley. Rest in peace. At Justin Herbert yesterday,
- 0:17Speaker 3: in the second and third quarters especially, Mike McDonald was
- 0:20Speaker 3: all over that Chargers offensive line that had been showing
- 0:22Speaker 3: signs of problems coming into the game. Herbert was 5
- 0:26Speaker 3: of 14 passing with the first play interception. The Chargers
- 0:28Speaker 3: barely had 100 yards. Seahawks took a 27-6 lead thanks
- 0:32Speaker 3: to scores like these.
- 0:34Speaker 2: And he's got Wilson on the screen. Wilson room to run.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Wilson inside the 5. Still going. Touchdown! First touchdown as
- 0:46Speaker 2: a Seahawk for Emmanuel Wilson. Wilson wide open for a touchdown.
- 0:51Speaker 4: Touchdown!
- 0:54Speaker 2: The Herbert interception leads to six more for Seattle.
- 0:58Speaker 5: This is when JSN and some of these top receivers
- 1:00Speaker 5: often get targeted.
- 1:02Speaker 6: That's Shahid in the backfield, takes the pitch.
- 1:05Speaker 2: And Rasheed Shahid turning on the Jets. Shahid is in. Touchdown.
- 1:11Speaker 5: In the backfield, give him a toss. And this guy's
- 1:15Speaker 5: an all-pro returner. And that's all this is, is a
- 1:17Speaker 5: punt return for him. Quiet start no more for Rasheed Shahid.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Yeah, the Seahawks found a different way to put a
- 1:26Speaker 3: $ 17 million-a-year guy into the offense. They put him in
- 1:29Speaker 3: the backfield, toss, sweep, touchdown, untouched. He just ran everybody
- 1:32Speaker 3: around the corner. That speed. Yeah, they couldn't beat it.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Chargers cut it to 30-23 before Uchenna and Wosu did
- 1:40Speaker 3: this with a minute left in the game.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Herbert pressure coming. He lost the football. And who's got it?
- 1:47Speaker 2: Derek Hall is right there. Seattle's saying they have it,
- 1:50Speaker 2: and they do. There is a flag down on the play.
- 1:55Speaker 2: It was the former Chargers.
- 2:02Speaker 3: That was the CBS TV call of the final play
- 2:05Speaker 3: with a minute left in regulation. Seahawks win 30-23 after
- 2:07Speaker 3: 27-6 lead. They won despite a team record 150 yards
- 2:09Speaker 3: in penalties. 30 penalties in all, 16 against the Chargers,
- 2:18Speaker 3: 14 against the Seahawks, who are now 3-1. The 49ers
- 2:21Speaker 3: beat Denver at home to go to 4-0. Niners at
- 2:23Speaker 3: Seahawks Sunday afternoon at Lumen Field for first place early
- 2:26Speaker 3: in the NFC West. Leonard Williams injured his ankle late
- 2:29Speaker 3: in the game yesterday. Coach Mike McDonald said that he
- 2:33Speaker 3: is optimistic this morning on his radio show, said that
- 2:35Speaker 3: he is optimistic that Williams will be able to play
- 2:38Speaker 3: on Sunday against the 49ers. Kenneth Walker scored two touchdowns
- 2:42Speaker 3: in 19 seconds, and the Chiefs remain unbeaten by hand
- 2:44Speaker 3: in Clint Kubiak's Raiders. Their first loss, 30-27 in Las Vegas.
- 2:48Speaker 3: The Vikings are 4-0 because they beat the Dolphins 15-10.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Lamar Jackson left his stadium in Baltimore wearing a walking
- 2:54Speaker 3: boot after he left the Ravens game injured. Ravens beat
- 2:57Speaker 3: the Titans. In the NFC West yesterday, the Rams rallied
- 3:00Speaker 3: from down 20-10 in the fourth quarter to beat the
- 3:02Speaker 3: Eagles in Philadelphia 24-20. Arizona lost at the Giants 36-24.
- 3:08Speaker 3: Another fact or fiction win for us. We were another
- 3:10Speaker 3: winning week, man.
- 3:11Speaker 7: 3-2.
- 3:13Speaker 3: We'll take that. So the NFC West is San Francisco's 4-0.
- 3:16Speaker 3: The Seahawks are 3-1. The Rams are 2-2. And the
- 3:18Speaker 3: Cardinals are 1-3. This week, of course, the Niners at
- 3:21Speaker 3: the Seahawks. The Rams are hosting the 3-1 Bills, who
- 3:24Speaker 3: lost to the Patriots, their first loss of the season.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Arizona is hosting Detroit. The Lions lost last night to
- 3:30Speaker 3: the Panthers. They're 2-2. Kraken, man, can they just ask
- 3:34Speaker 3: the NHL, Gary Bettman, to schedule the Calgary Flames every game?
- 3:38Speaker 8: I mean, it's been working out pretty well.
- 3:40Speaker 3: Montour sends it down.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Eberle gets the pass.
- 3:44Speaker 3: Scores!
- 3:50Speaker 9: Montour from the near blue line to the corner for Stevenson.
- 3:54Speaker 3: He finds Eberle, top of the right circle.
- 3:57Speaker 2: And the captain finds the back of the net for
- 4:00Speaker 2: the second time this season. It's a 6-1 Seattle Kraken lead.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Once again, it's quick, decisive passing.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Montour drops it down really quickly to Stevie.
- 4:12Speaker 3: Stevie puts it back up to Eberle.
- 4:14Speaker 7: And Eberle with a top shelf blocker side goal.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Kraken 6. Got rewind. Of course, those are the familiar
- 4:22Speaker 3: voices of Everett Fitzhugh and Al Kaninsky on the call
- 4:24Speaker 3: last night at Climate Pledge Arena here on KJR. 6-1,
- 4:28Speaker 3: Kraken win the home opener over the Flames after they
- 4:30Speaker 3: beat the Flames in the season opener 6-1 in Calgary.
- 4:33Speaker 3: In between that, Saturday night, the Kraken lost at Edmonton 3-1,
- 4:37Speaker 3: a tight game until the very end. Last night, Vince
- 4:40Speaker 3: Dunn did something only Wayne Gretzky has done in NHL history.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Dunn recorded a point in a sixth straight home opener.
- 4:48Speaker 3: The great one had scored a point in nine straight
- 4:52Speaker 3: Edmonton home openers from 1979 to 88. So cracking off
- 4:56Speaker 3: to a good start, 2-1. This morning, the 41-year-old Alex Ovechkin,
- 5:00Speaker 3: the all-time leading regular season goal scorer in NHL history,
- 5:03Speaker 3: told his Washington Capitals teammates this is his final season.
- 5:07Speaker 3: MLB playoffs, the division series last night. The Braves beat
- 5:10Speaker 3: the Dodgers to even that series at a game apiece
- 5:12Speaker 3: at the best of five. In Milwaukee, 22-year-old Jackson Churrio's
- 5:17Speaker 3: walk-off single of Padres flamethrower Mason Miller gave the Brewers
- 5:21Speaker 3: a 4-3 win and a 2-0 series lead over San Diego. Churrio,
- 5:24Speaker 3: 22 years old, the youngest player with a postseason walk-off
- 5:27Speaker 3: hit since 1997. Game 7 of the World Series. Edgar Renteria,
- 5:33Speaker 3: Florida Marlins beat the Cleveland Indians.
- 5:35Speaker 10: Wow, what a callback.
- 5:38Speaker 3: I was a big Indians fan from home, especially my
- 5:40Speaker 3: wife's family back then. That was a tough one to swallow,
- 5:42Speaker 3: that Game 7. Today in the American League, Division Series resumes.
- 5:46Speaker 3: The White Sox are at Cleveland. Now they're called the Guardians.
- 5:48Speaker 3: Chicago leads that Series 1 game to none. And the
- 5:51Speaker 3: Yankees are at the Rays with Tampa Bay leading that
- 5:53Speaker 3: Series 1 game to none. The Washington Huskies, I heard
- 5:56Speaker 3: here on KJR, lost a game they should have won
- 5:58Speaker 3: at USC. Trojans return to DeMond Williams' fumble. Ben Williams
- 6:03Speaker 3: throwing incomplete on third and fourth downs deep in SC
- 6:05Speaker 3: territory to end a UW 25-21 loss. Washington now 3-2
- 6:10Speaker 3: with two straight Big Ten losses. Host Iowa Friday night
- 6:13Speaker 3: right here on KJR at Husky Stadium. Washington State Cougars.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Jess was on the sidelines at Martin Stadium to watch
- 6:20Speaker 3: an offense and an offensive line in bad, bad shape.
- 6:23Speaker 10: Yeah, that was not pretty.
- 6:24Speaker 3: Peyton Penick throwing balls all over the place, getting thrown
- 6:28Speaker 3: around and thrown down. Fresno State beat the Cougs 26-6
- 6:32Speaker 3: in the new Pac-12 conference. And in Washington High School football,
- 6:35Speaker 3: Eastlake knocked off previously unbeaten Skyline in our showcase game
- 6:38Speaker 3: of the week from Friday when we talked to both coaches.
- 6:41Speaker 3: Big win for Greg Hurd's boys. And on the eastern
- 6:43Speaker 3: side of the state, Kalen Wachuszik rushed for 293 yards
- 6:48Speaker 3: and three touchdowns. 10th-ranked Sela beat defending 2A Greater Spokane
- 6:52Speaker 3: League champion West Valley of Spokane 26-21. Now on with
- 6:56Speaker 3: the Monday show.
- 6:58Speaker 1: This is the Countdown to Monday Night Football with Greg Bell.
- 7:02Speaker 2: He's going to go into the open field.
- 7:05Speaker 1: As we count you down to tonight's game at 515.
- 7:07Speaker 1: He'll coast in for the touchdown. Brought to you by
- 7:12Speaker 1: Frostbrew Coors Light. Cold as the Rockies.
- 7:15Speaker 3: On Sports Radio 93.3, AJR FM. Hello, good morning. Yeah,
- 7:21Speaker 3: that's right. 515 tonight is Falcons at Saints. They're calling
- 7:24Speaker 3: it the Dome Coming Game because it's an anniversary game
- 7:28Speaker 3: of the first game back after the Superdome in New
- 7:30Speaker 3: Orleans really reopened from Hurricane Katrina. It was a Falcons-Saints
- 7:35Speaker 3: Monday night game that year. And so they're redoing that tonight,
- 7:38Speaker 3: the one and two Falcons and one and two Saints
- 7:40Speaker 3: right here on 515. On 93.3 KGR FM, good morning.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Greg Bell, Jessamyn McIntyre from very foggy Seattle. You can't
- 7:47Speaker 3: even see Elliott Bay, and we're right next to it. Yeah,
- 7:49Speaker 3: I know.
- 7:50Speaker 8: It's weird because I live close to the water in Edmonds,
- 7:54Speaker 8: and so it was super fog. There was like a
- 7:55Speaker 8: cloud sitting on top of the entire town. Then as
- 7:58Speaker 8: I drove not very far outside of Edmonds, oh, it
- 8:02Speaker 8: was sunny, and everything burned off. And now since I've
- 8:06Speaker 8: been here, I thought it was sunny when I came in.
- 8:08Speaker 8: And I look out the window, and there's another cloud
- 8:10Speaker 8: sitting on top of us.
- 8:11Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 8:12Speaker 3: I mean, in the city, you can't even see red lights. And, yeah,
- 8:16Speaker 3: it's pretty thick this morning. So be careful if you're
- 8:18Speaker 3: out there driving. Thanks for listening to us on KJR
- 8:21Speaker 3: on your car radio or on 933KJR. com or the iHeartRadio app.
- 8:25Speaker 3: You can download that for free if you haven't already.
- 8:27Speaker 3: And we're at 933KJR. Man, the Huskies, that's one of
- 8:31Speaker 3: the— I haven't watched a lot of Huskies. I'm usually traveling
- 8:34Speaker 3: or somewhere on Saturday before— Sunday Seahawks games, but I
- 8:37Speaker 3: did watch that game. And that's a game they should
- 8:41Speaker 3: have won. I mean, they, man. And I know fans
- 8:46Speaker 3: are really griping about the end of that game when
- 8:48Speaker 3: he goes for broke into double coverage on a fade
- 8:51Speaker 3: route in the corner of the end zone, one on two,
- 8:54Speaker 3: when all he needed was 10 yards. He did in
- 8:57Speaker 3: the last two plays, Jed Fish called two plays that
- 9:00Speaker 3: DeMond Williams is least effective at. That's pocket passing. Sometimes
- 9:04Speaker 3: he just can't see the field. He's not tall enough.
- 9:06Speaker 3: And in the last two plays of the game in
- 9:08Speaker 3: line needing 10 yards, he was in a pocket drop
- 9:10Speaker 3: straight back. When they converted on fourth down earlier in
- 9:13Speaker 3: that drive, the Huskies, to get deep into Trojans territory,
- 9:18Speaker 3: they sprinted DeMond Williams out. Husky fans listening remembered it
- 9:21Speaker 3: was a sprint out, quick sprint out and a quick out.
- 9:24Speaker 3: He had a run pass option there. He flipped it
- 9:26Speaker 3: out in the flat and easy first down. I thought
- 9:28Speaker 3: on third down with the game on the line, it
- 9:30Speaker 3: was going to be that. And then I thought for
- 9:32Speaker 3: sure on fourth down, it was going to be that. Instead,
- 9:34Speaker 3: two pocket passes to end the game You'd like to
- 9:38Speaker 3: see your quarterback do what he's best at when the
- 9:40Speaker 3: game is on the line. And DeMond Williams did what
- 9:42Speaker 3: he is not good at, which is try to sit
- 9:44Speaker 3: in a pocket looking through linemen to try to make
- 9:47Speaker 3: a completion with the game on the line. And the
- 9:49Speaker 3: Huskies lose 25-22. They are now 3-2. And now Iowa,
- 9:54Speaker 3: who had shocked Michigan. It doesn't look as shocking now
- 9:56Speaker 3: because remember that Minnesota loss that Washington had? Minnesota. beat Michigan.
- 10:01Speaker 8: Yeah, they're more of a powerhouse than I gave them
- 10:03Speaker 8: credit for in the beginning of the season.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Maybe they aren't the bottom tier team. Of course, Michigan
- 10:07Speaker 3: should have three losses now because Western Michigan beat them
- 10:10Speaker 3: in 60 minutes.
- 10:11Speaker 10: They certainly did.
- 10:12Speaker 3: But two losses for Michigan now. But yeah, Huskies on
- 10:15Speaker 3: a two-game Big Ten losing streak, and it just exacerbates
- 10:17Speaker 3: the fact that they are not getting the full share
- 10:20Speaker 3: of revenue that the rest of the Big Ten schools are.
- 10:22Speaker 3: That was the agreement in joining the conference. And they
- 10:25Speaker 3: aren't spending the money because they don't have the money,
- 10:27Speaker 3: as much money as the Ohio states and the Michigans
- 10:29Speaker 3: and the Penn states and the USC's in the conference
- 10:31Speaker 3: or even Oregon. And here are the Cuskies 0-2 in
- 10:34Speaker 3: the Big Ten to start in Higgins, Iowa coming in
- 10:36Speaker 3: a short week. Friday night, I think it's a 5 p.m. kickoff,
- 10:40Speaker 3: if I'm not mistaken, maybe 6 o'clock kickoff on right
- 10:43Speaker 3: here on 93.3 KJFM. On the show today, what I
- 10:47Speaker 3: learned and saw and heard at the stadium yesterday of
- 10:50Speaker 3: the Seahawks' 30-23 win that was a lot more difficult
- 10:54Speaker 3: at the end than it should have been, Coach Mike
- 10:56Speaker 3: McDonald and his players not happy, and they're not happy
- 10:58Speaker 3: with themselves. He said, that is not how we are
- 11:01Speaker 3: going to play football. The penalties, I mean, the worst one, well,
- 11:06Speaker 3: there were a couple worst ones. Nicky Manwari headbutting a
- 11:09Speaker 3: lineman for blocking him 15 yards down the field. was
- 11:12Speaker 3: one just selfishly ridiculous play. Yeah. You'll hear from Nick
- 11:15Speaker 3: Eamon where I talked to him in the locker room
- 11:17Speaker 3: after the game yesterday. But Jessamyn, third and 24, and
- 11:22Speaker 3: Herbert throws a two-yard pass, and Derek Hall roughs the quarterback.
- 11:26Speaker 8: Right.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Just don't put your hands on him. The series is over.
- 11:30Speaker 8: Right.
- 11:31Speaker 3: The Chargers end up getting points out of that draft.
- 11:34Speaker 3: Third and 24, and he throws a two-yard pass. They're
- 11:36Speaker 3: surrendering the series for you. And then you give them
- 11:38Speaker 3: a first down. I know it was borderline, and I
- 11:41Speaker 3: know he hit him kind of in the motion of throwing.
- 11:43Speaker 3: Just don't even hit him.
- 11:44Speaker 8: Right.
- 11:45Speaker 10: You don't need to touch him. Third and 24.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Take your No. 1 defense's chances on third and 24
- 11:50Speaker 3: that you don't need to hit the quarterback there, especially
- 11:53Speaker 3: after the ball's released. That's the kind of selfish way.
- 11:56Speaker 3: McDonald talked yesterday how there's a spectrum of penalties that
- 11:58Speaker 3: they talk about. One is the spectrum. One end is
- 12:01Speaker 3: the cost of doing business, and that's aggressive play. He
- 12:03Speaker 3: called Connor O'Toole's penalty on the punt return a cost
- 12:06Speaker 3: of doing business. An aggressive play. A punt returner making
- 12:09Speaker 3: a guy miss. Then he runs into O'Toole face mask
- 12:12Speaker 3: to face mask. And they call it unnecessary helmet contact
- 12:16Speaker 3: and a penalty. That looked like a football tackle to
- 12:19Speaker 3: me in the open field. And McDonald's cool with those.
- 12:22Speaker 3: I mean, that's an aggressive play from a punt coverage
- 12:24Speaker 3: guy on a dangerous returner. Then you got the other
- 12:28Speaker 3: end of the spectrum that McDonald calls selfish plays. And
- 12:31Speaker 3: that's what Eamon Worry headbutted the guard for blocking him.
- 12:33Speaker 3: I mean, Eamon Worry was just ticked because the guard
- 12:35Speaker 3: drove him 15 yards down the field.
- 12:37Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 12:37Speaker 3: That's why he did that.
- 12:38Speaker 10: That was an emotional response.
- 12:39Speaker 7: Yes.
- 12:40Speaker 3: And Derek Hall, on a third and 24, should not
- 12:44Speaker 3: be thinking about, let me hit the quarterback. He should
- 12:46Speaker 3: be thinking, let me get this team off the field.
- 12:48Speaker 3: And not to mention, Devin Witherspoon is a minus two-yard run.
- 12:52Speaker 3: He's got the running back in his grasp, out of bounds,
- 12:56Speaker 3: and he rodeo tosses him into the sideline. That's a
- 12:59Speaker 3: selfish play. That's a plain selfish play. You already have
- 13:03Speaker 3: the loss. The play is already over. It doesn't matter
- 13:06Speaker 3: how hard the contact is. Just don't do it. And
- 13:08Speaker 3: those are the selfish plays that Mike McDonald said they
- 13:10Speaker 3: are going to go through, not around, in the next
- 13:13Speaker 3: 24 to 48 hours. And I asked everybody, the coaches
- 13:17Speaker 3: and the players, what do you do? Just yell at them?
- 13:18Speaker 3: And Ernest Jones said, yeah, we are going to yell
- 13:21Speaker 3: at each other. But what else can he do? Well,
- 13:23Speaker 3: this morning, McDonald raised the specter on his coach's show,
- 13:26Speaker 3: on the radio show, that he may change players. He said,
- 13:30Speaker 3: we're going to have to change the way we play
- 13:32Speaker 3: and look at who we're playing.
- 13:34Speaker 7: So.
- 13:35Speaker 3: There was a thinly veiled threat there that there may
- 13:37Speaker 3: be guys that will lose some playing time. Now, Derek
- 13:39Speaker 3: Hall is not going to lose playing time, not much.
- 13:42Speaker 3: And Devin Witherspoon is not coming off the field. And
- 13:44Speaker 3: Nick even worried, played the most he's had yet since
- 13:46Speaker 3: the ankle surgery. We're going to talk about that during
- 13:48Speaker 3: the show as well. We'll have the latest on Leonard Williams'
- 13:51Speaker 3: ankle injury. I gave it to you off the top.
- 13:53Speaker 3: The bottom line on that is that the Seahawks are, quote, optimistic,
- 13:56Speaker 3: according to Mike McDonald, that he might be able to
- 13:57Speaker 3: play Williams against the 49ers this week after that ankle
- 14:01Speaker 3: injury late in the game. Looked a lot worse, didn't it?
- 14:03Speaker 3: Him on the back. He's laying on his back. He's
- 14:05Speaker 3: holding his face mask in pain.
- 14:07Speaker 8: Well, I mean, in an injury situation, you don't know
- 14:10Speaker 8: how bad it is, right? And he definitely was. And
- 14:13Speaker 8: you feel that pop or you feel the pain. It
- 14:16Speaker 8: absolutely can be terrifying. And I could see him, you know,
- 14:20Speaker 8: just going through the mental process of, is this the end?
- 14:25Speaker 8: You know, because I don't know how much longer he
- 14:28Speaker 8: plans to play. But it's usually around his age that people...
- 14:32Speaker 8: kind of, you know, make that decision. And I'm not
- 14:36Speaker 8: calling him old or anything. I'm just saying it's around
- 14:38Speaker 8: that age.
- 14:38Speaker 3: Jessamyn Coghlan-Williams old, you can say right now, 32 years old.
- 14:42Speaker 3: Don't we all wish we were 32 again?
- 14:43Speaker 2: Yes, I do.
- 14:45Speaker 3: But he just signed, remember, re-signed for three years and
- 14:47Speaker 3: $ 90 million in late August. And the Seahawks made that
- 14:50Speaker 3: commitment for how valuable he is. And now you can
- 14:52Speaker 3: see that value on the face of Mike McDonald when
- 14:54Speaker 3: he was standing out there. He went pretty quickly from
- 14:56Speaker 3: the sideline out to Leonard Williams on the middle of
- 14:59Speaker 3: the field near the goal line. He did limp off.
- 15:01Speaker 3: He did go into the blue tent. And it's an
- 15:03Speaker 3: ankle injury that they don't believe is serious. Mike McDonald
- 15:05Speaker 3: again saying this morning they are, quote, optimistic that he
- 15:08Speaker 3: could play against the 49ers, the undefeated 49ers. On Sunday,
- 15:11Speaker 3: we're going to talk during the show about what Nicky
- 15:14Speaker 3: Manwari told me in the locker room, why he said,
- 15:16Speaker 3: I love this team for how they are handling his
- 15:18Speaker 3: return from ankle surgery. He didn't sound like that two
- 15:21Speaker 3: weeks ago in Arizona when I talked to him after
- 15:22Speaker 3: the game, but yesterday he did. And we'll talk about
- 15:25Speaker 3: why he's changed and thought that. Why the Seahawks put
- 15:28Speaker 3: Jadarian Price on injured reserve. They did that on Saturday
- 15:30Speaker 3: since we last had a show. What his injury is.
- 15:34Speaker 3: And the creative way Brian Fleury got game-breaking speed into
- 15:36Speaker 3: the Seahawks' backfield with a new twist. Playing without Price yesterday.
- 15:40Speaker 3: We'll talk about that. John Schneider talked before the game
- 15:43Speaker 3: yesterday about exactly what's going on with Price. You'll hear
- 15:46Speaker 3: from Coach Mike McDonald about why he's grateful for winning
- 15:48Speaker 3: that game yesterday and more at 11 o'clock. You'll hear
- 15:50Speaker 3: the full coach's comments after the game last night. 11.30,
- 15:53Speaker 3: we'll talk back. on the iHeartRadio app or 953KGR. com. You
- 15:58Speaker 3: leave a 30-second or shorter voicemail message, and Jessamyn will
- 16:01Speaker 3: love to play any of those back.
- 16:02Speaker 10: Please do.
- 16:03Speaker 3: Or the Tacoma Dodge text line 49451. We'll read back
- 16:08Speaker 3: your text starting at 1130. 1135 Factor Fiction brought to
- 16:12Speaker 3: you by Lucky Eagle Casino and Hotel. Your chance to
- 16:14Speaker 3: win $ 1, 000. We drew this morning. Maybe you already have
- 16:17Speaker 3: a name of a winner from last week. We'll find
- 16:19Speaker 3: out soon. All you have to do is win one
- 16:21Speaker 3: time to win $ 1, 000. We were 3-2 last week.
- 16:25Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 16:26Speaker 3: Dave Softy-Moller's show was 4-1. Yeah, I know.
- 16:29Speaker 10: He's creeping up in the rankings.
- 16:31Speaker 3: We're in first place.
- 16:32Speaker 10: I am just like literally every week I'm batting 500.
- 16:35Speaker 10: That's it. That's good. I am just Steady Eddie over here.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Yeah. Not all that. My Army team, the Pride and
- 16:41Speaker 3: Dream of Every Heart and Grade, not help us. I
- 16:45Speaker 3: picked Army in the under and both teams scored like
- 16:47Speaker 3: 60-some points.
- 16:48Speaker 10: That's insane for that.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:50Speaker 3: Rustin- Louisiana Tech beat them, I think, 31-29. That was
- 16:55Speaker 3: not the game I had planned for Army. They did
- 16:57Speaker 3: lose again, their second time losing this year. Anne Ferdinand
- 17:00Speaker 3: will join us on 1145 to talk about what's on
- 17:03Speaker 3: his show, 12-3. If I remember on Mondays, I won't
- 17:08Speaker 3: even guess. I can't remember who his regular guest is.
- 17:09Speaker 8: Well, we used to have Molly Wopp, obviously, but Mike
- 17:13Speaker 8: Sando will be a guest as well.
- 17:15Speaker 10: And I think they might have Hugh. but I'm not
- 17:19Speaker 10: quite certain.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Hugh Millen.
- 17:21Speaker 8: Hugh Millen is our Monday morning quarterback.
- 17:24Speaker 10: He's also our Monday afternoon quarterback.
- 17:26Speaker 3: I leave him alone on Mondays because I know the
- 17:28Speaker 3: morning show and the afternoon shows wear him out, so
- 17:30Speaker 3: that's why we don't often hear from him on Mondays.
- 17:33Speaker 3: First thing, Tacoma Dodge text line 49451. What's your level
- 17:36Speaker 3: of concern with the Seahawks offense entering this game against
- 17:39Speaker 3: the 4-0 49ers who are scoring a lot more consistently
- 17:43Speaker 3: than Seattle is? Yeah, the Seahawks got 30 points yesterday,
- 17:45Speaker 3: but they did it the hard way. And really, they
- 17:48Speaker 3: haven't had a complete game yet, on offense especially. The
- 17:51Speaker 3: penalties derailed them as well on offense as well as
- 17:54Speaker 3: on defense. Sam Darnold, the first play interception, I mean,
- 17:57Speaker 3: that's just a careless play. He was throwing to a
- 17:59Speaker 3: check down, running back in the left flat, and he
- 18:02Speaker 3: just didn't look. He threw it blindly. Otherwise, you would
- 18:04Speaker 3: not even throw that pass. The linebacker was standing right
- 18:07Speaker 3: next to Wilson. The throw was a little bit up
- 18:09Speaker 3: the field, right to the Chargers linebacker on the very
- 18:12Speaker 3: first play. Yesterday was the first game in NFL history,
- 18:16Speaker 3: I found out, Not just the 1978 Elias set, but
- 18:20Speaker 3: did a little digging. And it looks like it was
- 18:21Speaker 3: the first game in NFL history that both quarterbacks threw
- 18:24Speaker 3: interceptions on the first two plays of the game.
- 18:26Speaker 10: Oh, wow.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Yeah. That's how odd that was.
- 18:30Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 18:30Speaker 3: Drake Thomas running back, leaping up, making that interception. Justin
- 18:33Speaker 3: Herbert on the first scrimmage play. And then Seattle's first
- 18:35Speaker 3: offensive play. Sam Donald just turning and blindly throwing into
- 18:39Speaker 3: the flat for a check down. He just assumed was open.
- 18:41Speaker 3: And then there's the linebacker just standing there. Interception. Bang, bang.
- 18:45Speaker 3: That's never happened before. There's been a few games in
- 18:47Speaker 3: NFL history. So how do you feel about the offense?
- 18:51Speaker 3: Sam Darnold's not fully there. He's not fully sharp. They
- 18:55Speaker 3: have a Jerrion Price problem now. He's going to be
- 18:57Speaker 3: out at least a month. He can't play at a
- 18:58Speaker 3: minimum until November 2nd against the Chicago Bears. What the
- 19:04Speaker 3: GM is saying is an upper rib injury. He got
- 19:06Speaker 3: week two in Arizona injured. How you feel about Rashid
- 19:09Speaker 3: Shaheed being a new tailback? How you feel about Manuel
- 19:12Speaker 3: Wilson who got 21 carries for 81 yards yesterday but
- 19:14Speaker 3: is no doubt not the game-breaking back that Price is?
- 19:17Speaker 3: He's much slower and much more direct and thudding. How
- 19:20Speaker 3: you feel about the Seahawks offense? Four games in before
- 19:23Speaker 3: the 49ers come in here, 4-0. On Sunday, the penalties, man, as...
- 19:29Speaker 3: As Chet and Wilson said after the game, the penalties
- 19:31Speaker 3: are what kept the game closed. Seven personal fouls. Mike
- 19:35Speaker 3: McDonald called it unacceptable. McDonald said, quote, to have seven
- 19:38Speaker 3: personal foul penalties is unacceptable at any level, however you
- 19:40Speaker 3: slice it. That's not us. And that's not going to
- 19:43Speaker 3: be how we play football around here. I think do
- 19:46Speaker 3: you have what Ernest Jones said? I sure do. This
- 19:48Speaker 3: is what Ernest Jones said about the penalties. Pissed. I mean,
- 19:51Speaker 3: I think we're all collectively kind of pissed.
- 19:54Speaker 4: In this league, you can't allow, you can't extend drives
- 19:57Speaker 4: for offenses.
- 19:58Speaker 3: And we did that a hell of a lot today.
- 19:59Speaker 3: So we'll address it as a defense tomorrow. We'll get
- 20:03Speaker 3: it fixed going into next week. And finally, before this
- 20:07Speaker 3: goes a segment and Take a break. Vinod Khosla. Did
- 20:11Speaker 3: you see what he said on Twitter this weekend?
- 20:13Speaker 10: I didn't.
- 20:14Speaker 3: He went on Twitter X. Now, he does this far
- 20:17Speaker 3: more than anybody in the Allen family ever has been
- 20:20Speaker 3: on social media. Vinod Khosla went on Twitter X this
- 20:23Speaker 3: weekend to calm the fears he raised among Seahawks fans
- 20:26Speaker 3: with his comments to Axios. Remember at the end of
- 20:28Speaker 3: last week, he was asked if he would ever move
- 20:30Speaker 3: the Seahawks out of Seattle when Vinod Khosla said, never
- 20:33Speaker 3: say never.
- 20:34Speaker 10: Yeah, I remember that.
- 20:35Speaker 3: And then he also said, well, I can't predict 500 years. Well,
- 20:38Speaker 3: who can? That's true. But Saturday, Koslow wrote on Twitter, quote,
- 20:44Speaker 3: we have no plans to move the team, have never
- 20:46Speaker 3: discussed it, haven't even thought about it. End of story.
- 20:52Speaker 3: Or is it? He hopes so. I've said repeatedly we
- 20:56Speaker 3: have no plans to change anything. Feel sad for the
- 20:58Speaker 3: reporters looking for views and clicks who distort my answer
- 21:01Speaker 3: out of context and sent an entire city into a
- 21:03Speaker 3: spiral for no reason. That was Vinod Khosla on Saturday.
- 21:08Speaker 10: It was for his comments.
- 21:11Speaker 3: Well, to his credit, Dave Grosby, the Gros, an immortal
- 21:16Speaker 3: in these halls at KJR, did respond on Twitter. He said,
- 21:20Speaker 3: Dave Grosby wrote, this is a city that had a
- 21:21Speaker 3: team that was ripped away by an owner who promised
- 21:24Speaker 3: he was not leaving. Understandably, they reacted to the Axios story.
- 21:28Speaker 3: What did he say? The first line here is just fine.
- 21:32Speaker 3: I would definitely understand a new stadium. Well, let's just
- 21:35Speaker 3: save that for another time. So Dave Grosby giving some
- 21:37Speaker 3: context to the new owner about why.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Well, why?
- 21:40Speaker 8: Yeah. And I hope that that is spelled because this
- 21:43Speaker 8: team did have or the city did have a team
- 21:46Speaker 8: ripped away. And Clay Bennett lied through his teeth about that.
- 21:49Speaker 8: And I'm not saying that the Koslow family is anything
- 21:52Speaker 8: in that realm, but I'm glad to provide some context
- 21:56Speaker 8: from Gros that this is why we reacted that way.
- 22:00Speaker 8: It wasn't necessarily reporters taking it out of context. It
- 22:03Speaker 8: was People reading and hearing those words.
- 22:06Speaker 3: To borrow a phrase from Mike McDonald, this is the
- 22:08Speaker 3: cost of doing business when you have owners who do
- 22:10Speaker 3: not live in or not from Seattle.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Right.
- 22:13Speaker 3: And who were not in Seattle in 2008, were not
- 22:14Speaker 3: in the courtroom at the federal courthouse on 8th and
- 22:16Speaker 3: Olive like I was for that whole Sonics trial. Yes.
- 22:20Speaker 3: When you get someone from not from here, they don't
- 22:22Speaker 3: get it. Unless you lived here in 2008 with the
- 22:25Speaker 3: Sonics leaving, you don't get it either. And that's part
- 22:28Speaker 3: of what's going on here. But that was Vinod Khosla there.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Seahawks owner. Up next, the latest on the Leonard Williams
- 22:33Speaker 3: ankle injury and why Nicky Manwari told me in the
- 22:35Speaker 3: locker room yesterday after the Seahawks went over the charges.
- 22:38Speaker 3: I love this team for how they're handling his return
- 22:41Speaker 3: from ankle surgery. That's next. 1135 Factor Fiction will be
- 22:44Speaker 3: your next chance to win $ 1, 000 from the Lucky Eagle
- 22:47Speaker 3: Casino and Hotel on 93.3 KJRFM. Welcome back to the
- 23:16Speaker 3: day after here in Seattle of the Seahawks' latest win,
- 23:19Speaker 3: their 13th win in 14 games, 30-23. They led 27-6
- 23:24Speaker 3: over the Chargers and had them completely throttled until letting
- 23:28Speaker 3: off the gas in the second of late in the
- 23:30Speaker 3: fourth quarter. The Chargers scored two touchdowns, got it into
- 23:33Speaker 3: a one-score game before the Seahawks' Put it away with
- 23:35Speaker 3: a new Chenowosu sack fumble that Derek Hall recovered with
- 23:39Speaker 3: 53 seconds left. Man, they blitzed a lot yesterday. And
- 23:43Speaker 3: they blitzed Nicky Minwari a lot. It was more like
- 23:46Speaker 3: the Nicky Minwari of 2025, Jessamyn. It was off the line,
- 23:49Speaker 3: on the line, Sam linebacker, a little bit of safety,
- 23:51Speaker 3: a little bit in the slot, blitzing, covering. He was
- 23:54Speaker 3: even a defensive end a couple times in a four-point
- 23:56Speaker 3: stance on the defensive line. It was much more of
- 23:59Speaker 3: the full Nicky Minwari experience you'll hear from the safety
- 24:03Speaker 3: hybrid linebacker, in a few minutes. But first, let's talk
- 24:05Speaker 3: about Leonard Williams. Went down on his back, grasping his
- 24:10Speaker 3: face mask in pain, and there was a hush over
- 24:12Speaker 3: that stadium. That was as quiet as the stadium had
- 24:13Speaker 3: been the entire game.
- 24:15Speaker 10: Yeah, everybody loves him.
- 24:16Speaker 3: It was even quieter during halftime because halftime was loud
- 24:18Speaker 3: yesterday because it was Corgi races. And Banana, the Corgi,
- 24:23Speaker 3: won the Corgi races.
- 24:24Speaker 8: Yes, and it kind of threw some shade. I thought
- 24:27Speaker 8: a flag might be thrown on Banana.
- 24:28Speaker 3: Well, there were 30 of them.
- 24:30Speaker 10: A little bit of a taunting penalty there.
- 24:32Speaker 3: There were 30 of them thrown. Why not 31 on
- 24:35Speaker 3: the corgi while we're at it? But Williams ended up
- 24:39Speaker 3: limping off the field. As he came off the field,
- 24:41Speaker 3: I had the binoculars on him, and teammates started coming
- 24:43Speaker 3: up to him and supporting him and just trying to
- 24:46Speaker 3: encourage him because they were concerned. Sam Donald tapped Williams
- 24:50Speaker 3: on the chest as Williams walked into the blue tent,
- 24:53Speaker 3: and he was in there for a few minutes. well
- 24:55Speaker 3: into the offense's succeeding drive. The Chargers scored a touchdown
- 25:00Speaker 3: in their final points of the game, the play right
- 25:02Speaker 3: after Leonard Williams went out near the goal line. There
- 25:06Speaker 3: was concern. Mike McDonald was standing there, and he looked concerned.
- 25:11Speaker 3: But Williams came out of the tent after about five
- 25:14Speaker 3: minutes or so. He held his helmet while standing on
- 25:16Speaker 3: the sidelines for the end of the game. This is
- 25:18Speaker 3: what Mike McDonald said afterward about the injury.
- 25:20Speaker 7: He's got an ankle. Right now it doesn't look good.
- 25:25Speaker 7: It doesn't look serious right now, which is positive news.
- 25:28Speaker 7: So we'll see.
- 25:30Speaker 3: This morning on his coach's show, his day after coach's show,
- 25:33Speaker 3: Mike McDonald said that he was, quote, optimistic that Leonard Williams,
- 25:38Speaker 3: the 32-year-old Pro Bowl defensive lineman, will be able to
- 25:41Speaker 3: play Sunday when the 49ers come to Seattle. We'll see.
- 25:46Speaker 3: And he is vital because they use him as a three-tack.
- 25:49Speaker 3: They even use him as a zero-tack, sometimes over the nose.
- 25:51Speaker 3: They use him as a defensive end. Offense have to
- 25:55Speaker 3: play a guessing game on where 99 is. And it's
- 25:57Speaker 3: not like he just takes up space. He tends to
- 25:59Speaker 3: get into the backfield, which is why they gave him
- 26:01Speaker 3: $ 90 million and a three-year extension in August. He is
- 26:05Speaker 3: a big piece of McDonald's tricks and smokes and mirrors
- 26:08Speaker 3: and confusing at the snap. And they need him. And
- 26:12Speaker 3: they are, quote, optimistic that Leonard Williams, despite what it
- 26:15Speaker 3: looked like at the time, will be able to play
- 26:18Speaker 3: on Sunday. Now let's go to Nicky Manwari. He had
- 26:21Speaker 3: his first game, of course, in week two after they
- 26:23Speaker 3: held him out of the opener. He had the arthroscopic
- 26:25Speaker 3: ankle surgery in July related to his sprained ankle. He
- 26:28Speaker 3: got in practice four days before the Super Bowl down
- 26:30Speaker 3: in San Jose State in February. Surgery in July, held
- 26:35Speaker 3: him out all preseason. Then they held him out of
- 26:38Speaker 3: the first game. Second week, he had only nine snaps
- 26:40Speaker 3: in Arizona. And after that game, he told me, I'm
- 26:43Speaker 3: full go. I'm ready to go. Let's go. And then
- 26:45Speaker 3: in Washington, he played barely half the snap, 52%. He
- 26:48Speaker 3: was mostly on the line of scrimmage and mostly in
- 26:50Speaker 3: coverage against the Commanders. And, of course, the Seahawks lost
- 26:54Speaker 3: for the first time since last November, 33-31. Well, McDonald
- 26:59Speaker 3: said yesterday that part of the reason they blitzed so
- 27:01Speaker 3: much is that they wanted to come out much more
- 27:03Speaker 3: aggressively against the Chargers than they ended that game in Washington.
- 27:06Speaker 3: And that's, of course, natural because you want your team
- 27:09Speaker 3: to respond to having lost. Well, part of that aggressiveness
- 27:12Speaker 3: was making Nicky Manwari the Nicky Manwari of last year.
- 27:15Speaker 3: And yesterday he was that. He was on the edge
- 27:19Speaker 3: of the defense. He was on the line of scrimmage.
- 27:20Speaker 3: He was off the line of scrimmage. He was sometimes
- 27:23Speaker 3: the only other off-ball linebacker on the field next to
- 27:25Speaker 3: Ernest Jones in the old Sam hybrid linebacker role that
- 27:28Speaker 3: he was doing last season. He was deep at safety
- 27:30Speaker 3: a couple times. He was in the slot. They ran
- 27:33Speaker 3: more dime yesterday. In fact, Trevon Diggs had his Seahawks debut.
- 27:36Speaker 3: First-time former Pro Bowl Cowboys all-pro cornerback played for the
- 27:40Speaker 3: Seahawks yesterday in nine snaps. So they got to do
- 27:43Speaker 3: the full breadth of their defense yesterday because Eamon Worry
- 27:46Speaker 3: did the full breadth of the Eamon Worry experience. He
- 27:48Speaker 3: played 79% of the snaps yesterday. And McDonald said that
- 27:54Speaker 3: he is now Eamon Worry full go. No more of
- 27:57Speaker 3: the pacing. So you expect it to be 80%, 90%
- 28:00Speaker 3: of the snaps and in all those varying roles that
- 28:03Speaker 3: keeps offenses confused and guessing. So I talked to Nick
- 28:06Speaker 3: Eamon Worry in the locker room yesterday, and this is
- 28:08Speaker 3: what he said. First– about the game itself and the penalties.
- 28:12Speaker 3: Listen to how he tries to make sure he doesn't
- 28:15Speaker 3: get fined by the league in his comments about the officials.
- 28:18Speaker 3: And then I asked him, now that you're back, how
- 28:21Speaker 3: much do you appreciate how the Seahawks slow played your return?
- 28:23Speaker 3: Because I don't think he appreciated it week two, but
- 28:25Speaker 3: this is what he said yesterday.
- 28:27Speaker 7: What do you guys make of 14 penalties?
- 28:29Speaker 3: Man, I don't even want to say none, but they
- 28:33Speaker 3: just weren't going our way.
- 28:34Speaker 4: A couple, you know, I don't want to speak on it,
- 28:38Speaker 4: but We just got to next play, clean it up
- 28:42Speaker 4: a little bit, play a little aggressive on defense. Sometimes
- 28:45Speaker 4: the league likes it, sometimes they don't, but just be smarter.
- 28:49Speaker 4: What's Mike's message after a game like that with so
- 28:51Speaker 4: many penalties?
- 28:53Speaker 3: It's a lesson.
- 28:53Speaker 4: Even though we got the dub, it's a tough, tough game,
- 28:55Speaker 4: but we got the win at the end of the day,
- 28:57Speaker 4: so that's all that really matters. No reason to soak
- 28:59Speaker 4: on it. It's hard to get a dub in the NFL,
- 29:03Speaker 4: so good lesson, good message. We're going to keep going
- 29:06Speaker 4: for it.
- 29:07Speaker 3: Sorry if they ask you if you're off the line today,
- 29:09Speaker 3: a little more on the line, a little more of
- 29:11Speaker 3: the regular last year. Did it feel more like a
- 29:13Speaker 3: regular deal for you?
- 29:15Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, I think it just comes natural a
- 29:18Speaker 4: little bit. You know, training camp, I didn't really get
- 29:20Speaker 4: all those reps. So we kind of start doing things
- 29:22Speaker 4: on the fly. And, you know, I think it's pretty cool.
- 29:25Speaker 4: You know, I think as the season goes on, I'll
- 29:27Speaker 4: be making plays.
- 29:28Speaker 3: I'll load the field on the line, off the line.
- 29:31Speaker 4: I just want to show my versatility and make less.
- 29:35Speaker 3: Can you feel now some appreciation for how they ramped
- 29:38Speaker 3: you back up and didn't throw you right back in?
- 29:44Speaker 3: you know, a lot of teams.
- 29:45Speaker 4: Would just pull me back out there, especially with my talent,
- 29:47Speaker 4: you know, so it was really, really, you know, I
- 29:50Speaker 4: appreciate that, you know, being smart, ramping me up, game
- 29:52Speaker 4: to game, not being selfish to them, being considerate of me,
- 29:56Speaker 4: allowing me to get back up to full speed, allowing me,
- 29:58Speaker 4: you know, to flourish as I am, you know, it's
- 30:01Speaker 4: a small organization, I love me to touch them, you know,
- 30:03Speaker 4: these are my guys.
- 30:04Speaker 3: Thank you, thank you. What was interesting about that comment
- 30:08Speaker 3: about a lot of teams would have just thrown me in,
- 30:12Speaker 3: the Seahawks PR team, assistant was there and transcribed that
- 30:16Speaker 3: and put it out for the, when they put the
- 30:18Speaker 3: quotes out for the masses, it goes to the Florios
- 30:21Speaker 3: and the Schefters and everybody across the league. They cut
- 30:24Speaker 3: that quote out. And here's a little axiom in journalism
- 30:28Speaker 3: that I've learned over my 20 plus years of covering
- 30:30Speaker 3: the NFL. If a team doesn't want you to say it,
- 30:33Speaker 3: that's going to get quoted. And I was standing right there.
- 30:36Speaker 3: So it's not like it didn't happen and you just
- 30:38Speaker 3: heard him say it. I don't know what the reason
- 30:40Speaker 3: is that they didn't say they didn't want that in there.
- 30:43Speaker 3: A lot of teams would have thrown him in because
- 30:44Speaker 3: of my talent.
- 30:45Speaker 8: I think it's fodder for the networks. I think that
- 30:48Speaker 8: someone could cherry pick that. Me as a producer, I would.
- 30:52Speaker 8: I would go to, you know, they're the defending Super
- 30:56Speaker 8: Bowl champions. Like if I was working on a Colin
- 30:58Speaker 8: Cowherd or, you know, Rich Eisen or something like that,
- 31:03Speaker 8: I would 100% put that in front of a host
- 31:05Speaker 8: because there is something to dig into there. I don't
- 31:10Speaker 8: think he meant it in any way, shape or form
- 31:14Speaker 8: because he hasn't played for any other NFL teams.
- 31:16Speaker 10: So I don't know what context he has there.
- 31:18Speaker 3: Well, yeah, he was trying to praise his own team.
- 31:20Speaker 10: He was, you know, what do you say? World class organization.
- 31:24Speaker 3: One of a kind.
- 31:25Speaker 10: One of a kind.
- 31:26Speaker 8: And that's what he was doing. And I mean, if
- 31:31Speaker 8: I was on a national show.
- 31:33Speaker 10: That's what I would do.
- 31:34Speaker 8: So I do understand why they would cut that off. Here,
- 31:37Speaker 8: we know what he was saying. We know him. We
- 31:40Speaker 8: know this team. He wasn't trying to say anything about
- 31:44Speaker 8: another NFL team. And I don't think he was referencing
- 31:47Speaker 8: anything that he's seen so far this season either. But
- 31:50Speaker 8: I can see... That a PR person would cut that out.
- 31:54Speaker 3: Of a quote. The reason I printed it is because
- 31:57Speaker 3: it spoke to me and hopefully to the readers of
- 31:59Speaker 3: the News Tribune or just go to the News Tribune.com
- 32:02Speaker 3: right now if you want to read it. It spoke
- 32:04Speaker 3: to me about the Seahawks being ultra conservative and they
- 32:09Speaker 3: have a reputation within their own locker room being conservative
- 32:11Speaker 3: of bringing back guys from injuries. And that was another
- 32:14Speaker 3: example of Eamon Worre saying, yeah, I think this is
- 32:17Speaker 3: slower than other teams would have brought me back. And
- 32:20Speaker 3: then he throws in the, especially with my talent.
- 32:22Speaker 8: I like that one stood out to me.
- 32:25Speaker 3: So I got to print that when someone has that
- 32:28Speaker 3: bravado and self-confidence. So that's why I printed it. It's
- 32:30Speaker 3: a little how the sausage is made on the journalism
- 32:33Speaker 3: part of it. But yeah, just as a little aside,
- 32:35Speaker 3: as soon as a club takes something out, that's probably
- 32:38Speaker 3: what I'm going to put in just because that's probably
- 32:40Speaker 3: the truth and the real story of whatever is being said.
- 32:43Speaker 3: But The point is, Neiman Worre was not as exactly
- 32:46Speaker 3: thrilled in week two, and after the Arizona game, he said, man,
- 32:49Speaker 3: I'm ready to go. I mean, his basic gist to
- 32:51Speaker 3: me in the locker room after the Cardinals game when
- 32:52Speaker 3: he only played nine snaps was, come on, if you're
- 32:55Speaker 3: going to play me, let's go. And then two weeks later,
- 32:58Speaker 3: three games total now, 79% of the snaps yesterday, he said, ah, okay.
- 33:02Speaker 3: I get it. And he's 22 years old, so he's
- 33:04Speaker 3: just learning this.
- 33:05Speaker 10: Yeah, exactly. And he respects their decision.
- 33:07Speaker 3: Correct.
- 33:08Speaker 10: He just had to go through it first.
- 33:09Speaker 2: Correct.
- 33:10Speaker 3: He'd never done this before, and he's like, ah, okay.
- 33:12Speaker 3: He hadn't had surgery, and delayed. And now it's an
- 33:16Speaker 3: interesting look, I think, a little inside ball look at
- 33:19Speaker 3: the perspective of a 22-year-old going through this type of
- 33:22Speaker 3: thing for the first time, having a bofo rookie season.
- 33:26Speaker 3: I mean, you can't have a better rookie season than
- 33:28Speaker 3: maybe any second-round pick in the league had last year.
- 33:31Speaker 8: And just look at the versatility he shows. And he
- 33:34Speaker 8: is coming back from injury. And yesterday, like you said,
- 33:37Speaker 8: he was all over the place.
- 33:38Speaker 3: Yeah, he was. He was in a four-point stance at
- 33:40Speaker 3: one point against Joe Ault. the star right tackle for
- 33:44Speaker 3: the Chargers, and getting a pressure and forcing an incompletion
- 33:47Speaker 3: from Herbert on that rep as a defensive end. So
- 33:50Speaker 3: that was Nick Emanwuri yesterday. I think going forward now
- 33:53Speaker 3: we're going to get the full Nick Emanwuri 2025 version,
- 33:56Speaker 3: and they put a lot of stuff on tape for
- 33:58Speaker 3: the 49ers and Kyle Shanahan to have to game plan
- 34:00Speaker 3: for for Emanwuri this coming week. That was part of
- 34:02Speaker 3: the intent, I'm sure. A couple other snippets from what
- 34:06Speaker 3: Mike McDonald said this morning on his coach's show. He
- 34:08Speaker 3: said that Jalen Sundell, the center, and Gray Zabel, the
- 34:11Speaker 3: left guard, quote, definitely picked up their game from last week.
- 34:15Speaker 3: So apparently he wasn't as thrilled with the interior offensive
- 34:17Speaker 3: line play. Of course, Anthony Bradford is on injured reserve.
- 34:21Speaker 3: Again yesterday, Christian Haynes started. And again yesterday, Bo Stevens
- 34:24Speaker 3: alternated in for him. So that continues and probably will
- 34:28Speaker 3: through Bradford returning in a couple more games. And then
- 34:31Speaker 3: this morning, Mike McDonald said that Zach Charbonnet, quote, is
- 34:33Speaker 3: going to get team reps. this week in practice, which
- 34:37Speaker 3: is going to be exciting. He said that Charbonnet will
- 34:40Speaker 3: not play in the game this week. He is eligible to.
- 34:42Speaker 3: You have to miss at least four games. The first
- 34:44Speaker 3: four games after being on the physically unable to perform
- 34:46Speaker 3: list to begin the season, which Charbonnet was because he
- 34:48Speaker 3: had the reconstructive knee surgery in February. But he's only
- 34:51Speaker 3: three days into a 21-day practice window. So it sounds
- 34:55Speaker 3: like the first possible time he might be able to
- 34:57Speaker 3: play would be after this 49er game. Remember the short
- 35:00Speaker 3: week next week, the Seahawks go from a Sunday game
- 35:04Speaker 3: against the 49ers to a Thursday night road game at
- 35:07Speaker 3: Denver on October the 16th in Week 6. And that
- 35:11Speaker 3: may be the early target date for Zach Charbonnet, given
- 35:13Speaker 3: that he's going to do team reps in practice this week.
- 35:15Speaker 3: That was the other news, the piece from Mike McDonald,
- 35:18Speaker 3: the coach's show this morning. 49451, your thoughts on the
- 35:22Speaker 3: Seahawks at this point at 3-1? Concerns any? The penalties, sure.
- 35:27Speaker 3: But how they're playing? How do you think they're going
- 35:30Speaker 3: to be setting up for the 49ers coming in here 4-0?
- 35:34Speaker 3: The health is holding up so far for San Francisco,
- 35:36Speaker 3: and they look like they do when they don't get hurt,
- 35:38Speaker 3: and they've been a playoff team and Super Bowl contender
- 35:41Speaker 3: in years that they don't have the rash of injuries.
- 35:44Speaker 3: George Kittle, with a touchdown late in the game to
- 35:46Speaker 3: clinch that win over the Broncos yesterday, said that he
- 35:48Speaker 3: still doesn't feel like he's 100% coming back from his
- 35:51Speaker 3: major injury. He said maybe he's more like 80%. That's
- 35:54Speaker 3: what the 49ers have coming in. on Sunday in a
- 35:57Speaker 3: national TV late afternoon 125 game at Lumen Field. Up next,
- 36:01Speaker 3: General Manager John Snyder explains what the Seahawks had in
- 36:04Speaker 3: the Jadarian Price injury and why they put him on
- 36:06Speaker 3: injured reserve this weekend, what the injury is, how he
- 36:09Speaker 3: got it, and O.C. Brian Fleury's new way of dealing
- 36:13Speaker 3: with No Jadarian Price. We saw a twist yesterday. That's next.
- 36:17Speaker 3: 1135 Factor Fiction. Your chance to win $ 1, 000 from the
- 36:20Speaker 3: Lucky Eagle Casino and Hotel. All coming up on a
- 36:22Speaker 3: football Monday before the Monday night game tonight. Falcons at
- 36:25Speaker 3: Saints right here on 93.3 KJRFM.
- 36:40Speaker 1: Now back to Countdown to Monday Night Football with Greg Bell.
- 36:44Speaker 2: Brought to you by Frostbrood Coors Light.
- 36:47Speaker 3: Cold as the Rockies.
- 36:49Speaker 1: On Sports Radio 93.3, AJR FM.
- 36:57Speaker 3: Yes, the Monday Night Game. Falcons at Saints. The 20th
- 37:00Speaker 3: anniversary of the Hurricane Katrina return game and the reopening
- 37:03Speaker 3: of the Superdome and the Monday Night Game between those
- 37:05Speaker 3: two teams. That's why it's Falcons at Saints tonight. On
- 37:08Speaker 3: the Monday night game, you'll hear it live here on
- 37:10Speaker 3: KJR at 515. I want to correct something I said
- 37:13Speaker 3: about the Seahawks at Denver. I said it was Thursday
- 37:15Speaker 3: night game after Sunday, which is true. I said October 16th.
- 37:18Speaker 3: It's actually the 15th. Because October 16th, the Huskies actually
- 37:21Speaker 3: are playing a back-to-back Friday night game. They play at
- 37:24Speaker 3: Purdue on the 16th after playing this week on Friday
- 37:27Speaker 3: at home against Iowa. So just some errata.
- 37:31Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 37:31Speaker 3: I know the text line loves errata. Yeah. A running
- 37:35Speaker 3: back situation for the Seahawks post-Kenneth Walker has not been
- 37:38Speaker 3: going according to plan. They drafted Jadarian Price, number one,
- 37:42Speaker 3: first-round pick, to be the new running back one. He
- 37:46Speaker 3: fumbled in consecutive games. We now find out he was
- 37:49Speaker 3: playing hurt in Washington. He wasn't totally over his what
- 37:53Speaker 3: General Manager John Schneider said yesterday on the radio pregame
- 37:56Speaker 3: show of the Seahawks Network was a upper rib injury
- 37:59Speaker 3: that he got when L.J. Collier from Arizona fell on him.
- 38:03Speaker 3: in Week 2, catching a swing pass on a tackle.
- 38:07Speaker 3: Snyder said yesterday before the game that the practices leading
- 38:11Speaker 3: into the Washington game, Price was in a no-contact red
- 38:14Speaker 3: jersey all that week, and that he gutted it out
- 38:16Speaker 3: and showed some toughness in playing in that game. Then
- 38:19Speaker 3: he fumbles, he was benched, and of course a lot
- 38:24Speaker 3: of the Pacific Northwest came down hard on the rookie
- 38:26Speaker 3: for fumbling in consecutive games. That's two more times than
- 38:29Speaker 3: Kenneth Walker fumbled in four years with the Seahawks. And
- 38:33Speaker 3: then on Wednesday of this past week, John Schneider said
- 38:36Speaker 3: in practice that Jadarian Price fell on that same injured area,
- 38:40Speaker 3: the same side in the rib injury, upper ribs near
- 38:42Speaker 3: the chest and shoulder. And that second fall is why
- 38:47Speaker 3: he's now on injured reserve. The team put him on
- 38:49Speaker 3: injured reserve on Saturday. Bellis Jones Jr. is up from
- 38:53Speaker 3: the practice squad to the 53-man roster. And this afternoon...
- 38:58Speaker 3: The Seahawks are hosting Joe Mixon on a free agent visit.
- 39:01Speaker 3: You've heard of Joe Mixon. He's a two-time Pro Bowl
- 39:04Speaker 3: running back. He had four 1,000-yard seasons in his first
- 39:08Speaker 3: seven years of the NFL career with the Cincinnati Bengals.
- 39:12Speaker 3: He goes to Houston Texans for 2024. He has another
- 39:15Speaker 3: 1,000-yard season. But then he hasn't played it since the
- 39:20Speaker 3: end of the 2024 season with the Texans because last
- 39:23Speaker 3: year in the preseason for Houston, he had a foot injury.
- 39:26Speaker 3: that reportedly he told his old Bengals teammates was so
- 39:28Speaker 3: bad he would never play again. And he's been a
- 39:31Speaker 3: free agent ever since, not officially retired. And now apparently
- 39:35Speaker 3: he's going to try to prove to the Seahawks how
- 39:37Speaker 3: healthy he now is as an unsigned free agent visiting
- 39:40Speaker 3: Renton today. Jay Glazer of Fox Sports was the first
- 39:44Speaker 3: to report that on the Fox's NFL pregame show yesterday.
- 39:48Speaker 3: That Mixon is coming for a free agent visit, and
- 39:50Speaker 3: that workout reportedly is this afternoon. So there's a chance
- 39:53Speaker 3: the Seahawks will be adding a veteran running back that
- 39:56Speaker 3: they need, frankly, because yesterday it was Emmanuel Wilson, a
- 40:00Speaker 3: 500-yard back with Green Bay last year. They signed on
- 40:04Speaker 3: a one-year veteran minimum deal. He got 21 carries and
- 40:06Speaker 3: 81 yards. He got some open field runs yesterday like
- 40:10Speaker 3: he did in week two against Arizona when he had
- 40:11Speaker 3: 91 yards, but he's not a fast make-you-miss back. He's
- 40:16Speaker 3: more of a run-you-over plow guy. Nixon has always been
- 40:19Speaker 3: more of a make-or-miss guy. And, of course, Price, that
- 40:21Speaker 3: was his No. 1 asset in the one-cut-and-go outside zone.
- 40:26Speaker 3: So yesterday, they replaced Price's beat in elusiveness with Rashid Shahid.
- 40:32Speaker 3: They paid $ 17 million a year for their wide receiver
- 40:35Speaker 3: kick return. So why not get a little more return
- 40:37Speaker 3: on your investment and put him in the tailback in I-formation?
- 40:40Speaker 9: Right.
- 40:41Speaker 3: I thought it was interesting, Jessamyn, after the game that
- 40:42Speaker 3: Mike McDonald said, well, actually, you've had that in the
- 40:44Speaker 3: playbook for quite a long time. It wasn't reactionary just
- 40:48Speaker 3: to Price being on injured reserve, although they didn't use
- 40:51Speaker 3: it until for the first time yesterday with Price now out.
- 40:54Speaker 3: But he said that, McDonald said he was kind of
- 40:57Speaker 3: excited to see that Brian Fleury was actually, he'd seen
- 41:00Speaker 3: it so much in practice, he was glad to see
- 41:02Speaker 3: Fleury actually call it in the game. So for now,
- 41:05Speaker 3: it sounds like Shaheed, especially after his two carries for
- 41:08Speaker 3: 33 yards and the touchdown, 28 yards untouched around left
- 41:11Speaker 3: end on his first simple toss sweep pitch, we could
- 41:14Speaker 3: be seeing more of Rashid Shaheed in the tailback position
- 41:18Speaker 3: in the backfield behind Brady Russell at fullback against the 49ers.
- 41:22Speaker 3: And if nothing else, Jasmine, your coach's daughter, you know
- 41:25Speaker 3: how this goes. I do. They put that on film.
- 41:27Speaker 3: So now the 49ers, they have to game plan against
- 41:29Speaker 3: it this week.
- 41:30Speaker 2: Yes, they do.
- 41:31Speaker 8: And that's what I was going to ask your expertise
- 41:33Speaker 8: in too, because how, how much gamesmanship do you think
- 41:38Speaker 8: that is actually involved here?
- 41:40Speaker 3: I think there was a lot of it.
- 41:41Speaker 10: Okay.
- 41:41Speaker 3: That now.
- 41:42Speaker 10: You think they think that far ahead?
- 41:43Speaker 7: I do.
- 41:44Speaker 3: Okay. And I think they now know that the, The
- 41:47Speaker 3: 49ers have to spend a few hours on Rashid Shahid
- 41:49Speaker 3: as a tailback. And they have to spend more hours
- 41:51Speaker 3: on Nicky Malory all over the defense again. And that
- 41:54Speaker 3: was part of the reason they employed him yesterday in
- 41:56Speaker 3: that role. So the 49ers now have to study that.
- 41:59Speaker 7: Sure.
- 42:01Speaker 3: I absolutely think that was part of it as well. And,
- 42:03Speaker 3: of course, they're trying to win the game in the meantime.
- 42:05Speaker 10: Well, there's that part of it, too.
- 42:06Speaker 3: There is that part of it, too. Up next, you
- 42:08Speaker 3: want to hear from a coach? He was unhappy yesterday.
- 42:11Speaker 3: You can hear for yourself the tone of his words.
- 42:14Speaker 3: after the 14 penalties for a team record 150 yards,
- 42:17Speaker 3: that almost cost them the game. Let's face it. Most
- 42:20Speaker 3: teams they would have played yesterday would have beaten them.
- 42:22Speaker 7: Yes.
- 42:23Speaker 8: With that amount of penalties, yes.
- 42:25Speaker 10: That amount of lost yardage, yes.
- 42:26Speaker 3: And extending that many gift drives for them. And most
- 42:29Speaker 3: teams would have beaten the Seahawks the way they were
- 42:32Speaker 3: penalized yesterday. And most of them, seven of them, personal
- 42:35Speaker 3: fouls that Mike McDonald, we're pretty upset about. You'll hear
- 42:39Speaker 3: from the coach next. 11.35 is Factor Fiction. Your chance
- 42:42Speaker 3: to win $ 1, 000 from the Lucky Eagle Casino and Hotel.
- 42:45Speaker 3: All that's coming up on a football Monday. We'll take
- 42:47Speaker 3: you right up to Falcons and Saints at 5.15. All
- 42:49Speaker 3: of it's on 93.3 KJRFM.
- 43:04Speaker 1: Now, from the Star Reynolds Sports Desk, your 93.3 KJR
- 43:08Speaker 1: FM Sports Headlines.
- 43:10Speaker 3: Good morning. Headlines are brought to you by Frostwood Coors Light,
- 43:14Speaker 3: as cold as the Rockies. The Seahawks blitzed everyone at
- 43:17Speaker 3: Justin Herbert yesterday in the second and third quarters and
- 43:19Speaker 3: took a 27-6 lead. Then 14 penalties, a team record
- 43:24Speaker 3: 150 yards helped get the Chargers back into the game,
- 43:27Speaker 3: made it 30-23 before Chen and Wosu sacked Justin Herbert.
- 43:31Speaker 3: With 53 seconds left, Derek Hall picking up the fumble,
- 43:34Speaker 3: and that was the end of the Chargers' comeback. 30-23,
- 43:37Speaker 3: Seahawks win at home. They're 3-1. The 49ers won at
- 43:40Speaker 3: home against Denver to go to 4-0. Niners at Seahawks
- 43:43Speaker 3: Sunday afternoon at Lumenfield, 125. First place in the NFC
- 43:47Speaker 3: West on the line. Leonard Williams injured his ankle late
- 43:51Speaker 3: in the game yesterday. It looked bad at first, but
- 43:52Speaker 3: Coach Mike McDonald said on his coach show this morning
- 43:55Speaker 3: the team is, quote, optimistic that Williams will be able
- 43:58Speaker 3: to play on Sunday against the 49ers with his ankle injury.
- 44:02Speaker 3: Within the last hour in Tampa, Florida, our friend Dave Burkett,
- 44:05Speaker 3: the Lions beat writer we've had on the show a
- 44:07Speaker 3: couple times, reporting that this is probably not good news
- 44:10Speaker 3: for Tarion Arnold, the Seahawks cornerback who's facing kidnapping charges,
- 44:15Speaker 3: eight felony charges in Tampa. Another co-defendant in the Tarion
- 44:19Speaker 3: Arnold case, Boakai Hilton, pleaded guilty in court today in
- 44:23Speaker 3: Tampa and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. He
- 44:26Speaker 3: is required to testify against Arnold as part of his
- 44:29Speaker 3: plea agreement.
- 44:31Speaker 1: Hmm.
- 44:32Speaker 8: Hmm.
- 44:33Speaker 3: Arnold remains on the commissioner's exempt list under Seahawks contract,
- 44:36Speaker 3: but not able to practice or play for the team.
- 44:40Speaker 3: Kenneth Walker scored two touchdowns in 19 seconds. The Chiefs
- 44:43Speaker 3: remain unbeaten. They beat Cleveland BX Raiders yesterday. 30-27, first
- 44:47Speaker 3: loss for Las Vegas. Vikings are 4-0 because they beat
- 44:49Speaker 3: the Dolphins 15-10. Lamar Jackson left the stadium in Baltimore
- 44:52Speaker 3: wearing a walking boot after he was injured in the Ravens'
- 44:55Speaker 3: win over the Titans. The NFC West yesterday, the Rams
- 44:58Speaker 3: were down 20-10 in the fourth quarter in Philadelphia, but
- 45:01Speaker 3: then beat the Eagles 24-20. Golden chance for the Eagles
- 45:05Speaker 3: to put the Rams at 1-3 loss. The Rams are
- 45:07Speaker 3: now 2-2. Arizona lost to the Giants 36-24, so the
- 45:09Speaker 3: NFC West Again, San Francisco 4-0, Seattle 3-1, the Rams 2-2,
- 45:15Speaker 3: Arizona 1-3. This week it's San Francisco at Seattle. The
- 45:18Speaker 3: Rams are hosting 3-1 Buffalo. Arizona's hosting 2-2 Detroit, which
- 45:22Speaker 3: lost last night at Carolina. Man, the Kraken need to
- 45:25Speaker 3: keep scheduling the Calgary Flames. They played them twice and
- 45:30Speaker 3: beat them by a combined 12-2. 6-1 in the opener,
- 45:33Speaker 3: season opener Thursday, and 6-1 last night in the home opener.
- 45:37Speaker 3: Six goals, man. Vince Dunn did something last night. Only
- 45:40Speaker 3: Wayne Gretzky has done in NHL history. Wayne Gretzky, the
- 45:44Speaker 3: great one. Dunn recorded a point in the sixth straight
- 45:47Speaker 3: home opener. The only NHL player ever to have more
- 45:51Speaker 3: points scored in consecutive home openers. The great one. Nine
- 45:54Speaker 3: straight for Edmonton, 79 through 1988. When last night came
- 45:59Speaker 3: after the Kraken lost at Edmonton, 3-1 on Saturday. This morning,
- 46:02Speaker 3: 41-year-old Alex Govetskin, the all-time regular season goal scorer in
- 46:05Speaker 3: NHL history, told the Washington Capitals yesterday. that this is
- 46:07Speaker 3: his final season. MLB playoffs resume today with the American
- 46:11Speaker 3: League Division Series. White Sox at Cleveland with Chicago leading
- 46:14Speaker 3: one game to none. The Yankees are at the Rays
- 46:16Speaker 3: with Tampa Bay leading one game to none. Last night,
- 46:18Speaker 3: Jackson Churrio's walk-off single off Padres flamethrower closer Mason Miller
- 46:23Speaker 3: gave the Brewers a 4-3 win, a 2-0 series lead.
- 46:26Speaker 3: Churrio at 22 years old, the youngest player of the
- 46:28Speaker 3: postseason walk-off hit since the 1997 World Series, and 21-year-old
- 46:31Speaker 3: Edgar Renteria won Game 7 in the pennant for the
- 46:35Speaker 3: Marlins over Cleveland. Washington Huskies should have won at USC,
- 46:39Speaker 3: but they lost 25-21. Fumble return for a touchdown, the
- 46:43Speaker 3: deciding points in the game for USC, and then DeMond
- 46:45Speaker 3: Williams incomplete on third and fourth down in deep in
- 46:48Speaker 3: USC territory to finish the game. Washington's lost two in
- 46:51Speaker 3: a row in the Big Ten, and now they have
- 46:53Speaker 3: Iowa coming into Husky Stadium on Friday night right here
- 46:55Speaker 3: on KJR. Washington State Cougars offense in bad, bad shape.
- 46:59Speaker 3: Just two field goals, no points in the second half,
- 47:02Speaker 3: and a dreary 26-6 home loss to Fresno State in
- 47:05Speaker 3: the new Pac-12 conference. Jessamyn McIntyre was there, unfortunately.
- 47:08Speaker 2: Sure was.
- 47:09Speaker 10: Sure was.
- 47:10Speaker 8: It was a beautiful night on the Palouse, but it
- 47:12Speaker 8: was not a beautiful day on the field.
- 47:15Speaker 3: And in Washington high school football this weekend, Eastlake knocked
- 47:18Speaker 3: off previous land-beaten Skyline in our Showcase Game of the
- 47:20Speaker 3: Week from Friday. And on the eastern side of the state,
- 47:23Speaker 3: Kalen Wojcikiewicz. 293 yards rushing.
- 47:28Speaker 10: That's insane.
- 47:29Speaker 3: In one game, three touchdowns. 10th ranked CELA beat defending
- 47:33Speaker 3: class 2A Greater Spokane League champion West Valley of Spokane 26-21.
- 47:39Speaker 3: So potentially bad news for Terry and Arnold ever playing
- 47:41Speaker 3: for the Seahawks based on a plea agreement from one
- 47:44Speaker 3: of his co-defendants getting 10 years from prison and the
- 47:47Speaker 3: agreement saying that he has to testify against Arnold.
- 47:50Speaker 10: Yeah, I don't see Arnold playing.
- 47:52Speaker 3: That doesn't look good anyway. Not good. Also not good yesterday,
- 47:57Speaker 3: the Seahawks with a record 150 yards in penalty. I
- 48:00Speaker 3: had to go into the media guy. 148 was the
- 48:02Speaker 3: previous record. And then they, late in the game, got
- 48:05Speaker 3: a five-yard penalty, the 14th flag of the game. The
- 48:08Speaker 3: Chargers had 16 penalties. I saw Liam Cohen, the Jaguars coach,
- 48:12Speaker 3: complaining about the 23 penalties his game had combined. And
- 48:16Speaker 3: there were seven more of those in Seattle. 30 penalties
- 48:19Speaker 3: called by Scott Novak's staff. And Mike McDonald, after the game,
- 48:23Speaker 3: was not having that, oh, the referees are calling everything.
- 48:27Speaker 3: He put on his guys. Threw not around. Unacceptable. We're
- 48:31Speaker 3: going to fix this. This was Mike McDonald yesterday after
- 48:34Speaker 3: the Seahawks win over the Chargers.
- 48:36Speaker 8: All right.
- 48:36Speaker 7: I would say we're very, like, Grateful for a win.
- 48:42Speaker 7: To be 3-1 is a tribute to our guys and
- 48:45Speaker 7: our mentality throughout the week. I thought the guys were
- 48:47Speaker 7: great throughout the week in terms of our approach. And
- 48:51Speaker 7: to win in the NFL is dang hard, man. And
- 48:54Speaker 7: so with humility, we're really grateful for where we're at
- 48:58Speaker 7: right now and excited to move forward. But we also
- 49:00Speaker 7: understand that we have definitely a lot of room for
- 49:06Speaker 7: improvement with our operation, how we take care of the football.
- 49:11Speaker 7: And obviously penalties are something we need to address, so.
- 49:14Speaker 7: We have a spectrum around here on how we ascribe penalties,
- 49:18Speaker 7: one's cost of doing business. In terms of playing style,
- 49:21Speaker 7: we want to play hard. Sometimes we make mistakes. On
- 49:24Speaker 7: the other side of the spectrum is we call them
- 49:26Speaker 7: selfish penalties. This is going to be a through-not-around type
- 49:31Speaker 7: of next 24 to 48 hours on how we address
- 49:36Speaker 7: the penalties. I look forward to moving forward. Got a
- 49:40Speaker 7: big week ahead of us, and guys were excited. They
- 49:42Speaker 7: played extremely hard, stayed together, and did enough to win
- 49:47Speaker 7: the game, so we're thankful for that.
- 49:49Speaker 3: How's Hunter Williams?
- 49:51Speaker 7: He's got an ankle. Right now it doesn't look serious
- 49:57Speaker 7: right now, which is positive news, but we'll see.
- 50:01Speaker 11: The penalties, you kind of was just in here saying
- 50:04Speaker 11: you thought the emotions got the best of them, maybe
- 50:05Speaker 11: a little bit out there.
- 50:06Speaker 3: Did you sense that at all, like it was kind
- 50:07Speaker 3: of a.
- 50:10Speaker 7: For me to say right now, but to have seven
- 50:12Speaker 7: personal foul penalties is unacceptable on any level, however you
- 50:18Speaker 7: slice it. So that's not us, and that's not going
- 50:22Speaker 7: to be how we play football around here.
- 50:25Speaker 2: Yeah, it's great.
- 50:26Speaker 6: I mean, we've got to be able to run the ball.
- 50:30Speaker 3: So the guys did a great job.
- 50:38Speaker 7: I thought Emmanuel ran the ball well. I thought George
- 50:43Speaker 7: ran the ball well. It was great to get Sheed going,
- 50:45Speaker 7: which is really cool. And Justin Allen deserves a lot
- 50:48Speaker 7: of credit. John Benton, it's a team effort, so the
- 50:50Speaker 7: guys did a great job.
- 50:51Speaker 12: You seemed like you guys had them on the ropes
- 50:53Speaker 12: there in the second half of 21 points with their
- 50:55Speaker 12: missing some guys.
- 50:56Speaker 11: Why do you think it took you until the end
- 50:58Speaker 11: of the game to really shut the door?
- 51:01Speaker 7: Well, we were off the field multiple times and got penalties.
- 51:04Speaker 7: So it's cut and dry. It's not... That's not how
- 51:08Speaker 7: we're going to do business. That's not how we need
- 51:10Speaker 7: to play. That's unacceptable.
- 51:12Speaker 3: Despite all of that, your defense was able to shut
- 51:14Speaker 3: him down in the last sequence. How important is that
- 51:17Speaker 3: to the person in the area? Well, it was good.
- 51:18Speaker 7: We had to stay together, you know. As frustrated as
- 51:20Speaker 7: we were, we got to go win the game. And
- 51:23Speaker 7: Chena got a game ball for closing it out, so
- 51:26Speaker 7: it was great.
- 51:27Speaker 3: That was awesome. How do you.
- 51:28Speaker 13: Balance everything you said at the beginning about how hard
- 51:31Speaker 13: it is to win the NFL and celebrating a win and,
- 51:34Speaker 13: you know, how you want to close a game and
- 51:36Speaker 13: that wasn't necessarily the standard you wanted?
- 51:37Speaker 7: I think it's a process thing. It's like, yeah, we
- 51:40Speaker 7: want to win games, but we want to be the
- 51:43Speaker 7: Seahawks and the vision of how we want to play.
- 51:46Speaker 7: And so when we're not that, then that's why we
- 51:50Speaker 7: feel the way we feel, you know. Again, we're grateful
- 51:54Speaker 7: for wins. It's freaking hard to win, which is awesome.
- 51:59Speaker 7: But it's also that we're not there yet. And so
- 52:04Speaker 7: we've got to go to work. We've got to attack
- 52:07Speaker 7: the process and attack the thing so we can improve
- 52:09Speaker 7: and get better.
- 52:10Speaker 13: How much do you expect that to come from you
- 52:12Speaker 13: versus the leaders you've got.
- 52:13Speaker 7: On that team? Everybody in that locker room knows it.
- 52:16Speaker 7: So it's going to be everybody. The guys will be great.
- 52:18Speaker 7: I've told them this way. You know, it's... Anytime we've
- 52:23Speaker 7: set our intention on something, I have a hard time
- 52:26Speaker 7: finding an exception. The guys have done it. We just
- 52:31Speaker 7: have to be honest with our process on how we
- 52:33Speaker 7: approach it and how we go through it, straight up.
- 52:36Speaker 7: It's everybody pulling in the same direction. That's where we
- 52:39Speaker 7: want to improve. There's other parts of the game we
- 52:41Speaker 7: thought did a great job. There's areas where we didn't.
- 52:46Speaker 7: The run game on defense isn't good enough. We've got
- 52:50Speaker 7: to be better there as well.
- 52:52Speaker 3: Nick's been kind of working his way back.
- 52:55Speaker 13: Did this kind of feel like he's fully back doing everything?
- 52:58Speaker 7: We'll see how it came out of the game, but
- 53:00Speaker 7: I think he should be full go now.
- 53:03Speaker 3: It just turns out the game he played in production.
- 53:06Speaker 7: It's good to have him back, but everybody's got to
- 53:09Speaker 7: get better.
- 53:10Speaker 2: When you put in a.
- 53:11Speaker 3: Game like this one, the blitz, as much as you
- 53:14Speaker 3: did on defense, is that an extra juice for you?
- 53:17Speaker 3: Do you love to create that in for your players?
- 53:19Speaker 3: What's the reaction when they're presented with this?
- 53:23Speaker 7: I didn't realize we called it any differently. We just
- 53:25Speaker 7: had a game plan, and we either stick to it
- 53:28Speaker 7: or you adjust, and then we went from there. It
- 53:34Speaker 7: wasn't like a conscious shift in philosophy or anything like that.
- 53:37Speaker 7: It was just how we want to go. I do
- 53:39Speaker 7: think we wanted to be a little more aggressive coming
- 53:41Speaker 7: out of the last game. I think that's a fair assessment. Sorry,
- 53:45Speaker 7: Bob keeps getting.
- 53:48Speaker 13: It's Tavon Diggs playing some for the first time.
- 53:49Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 53:50Speaker 9: Just kind of his role.
- 53:51Speaker 7: And what he's done. Yeah, I think it's an example
- 53:53Speaker 7: of a guy coming in and doing everything we ask
- 53:55Speaker 7: and earning a chance to go play. So I'm excited
- 54:00Speaker 7: to watch the tape. I thought we covered really well today.
- 54:04Speaker 7: I thought the guys communicated really well. We had some.
- 54:10Speaker 7: I just thought we communicated really well, let's just put
- 54:12Speaker 7: it that way. And so we were all on the
- 54:13Speaker 7: same page, we were aligned, and I thought that was
- 54:17Speaker 7: really good.
- 54:18Speaker 13: What did you get from Rasheed Shaheed in the backfield today?
- 54:22Speaker 2: A touchdown. It's awesome.
- 54:24Speaker 7: We've had that in for a while, so it was
- 54:27Speaker 7: a great call by Brian at the right time. I
- 54:28Speaker 7: thought we blocked it great, and then he did the rest.
- 54:31Speaker 7: Both your linebackers at the interceptions, EJ at the 12
- 54:34Speaker 7: tackle legs, what did you think of those two that
- 54:35Speaker 7: placed in? I think Dave told me, has that ever happened?
- 54:39Speaker 7: Back-to-back interceptions to start a game? Ever? If that happens
- 54:46Speaker 7: next time, let's go for three in a row so
- 54:47Speaker 7: we can get.
- 54:47Speaker 8: The ball back.
- 54:49Speaker 7: Those guys are playing really good football. It's something as
- 54:55Speaker 7: a staff we have to do a great job of
- 54:56Speaker 7: because Drake deserves to play and so does Nick and
- 54:59Speaker 7: so does Nehemiah and so does Trayvon Diggs. We have
- 55:02Speaker 7: a lot of great players that we want to get
- 55:05Speaker 7: on the field. I'm happy for those guys, you know,
- 55:10Speaker 7: how we play at the end of the half and
- 55:11Speaker 7: winning those kind of end-of-half, beginning-of-the-half moments. You know, we
- 55:15Speaker 7: really could have been like 14-0 on the swing at
- 55:20Speaker 7: the end of the half, and that's why it's so
- 55:22Speaker 7: critical that we've got to be on our details at
- 55:24Speaker 7: the end of the half. So, you know, we don't
- 55:26Speaker 7: allow the offense to go back down and kick field
- 55:28Speaker 7: goals to end the half, so that's something we need
- 55:30Speaker 7: to get better at.
- 55:31Speaker 11: What did you think of Sam's day overall?
- 55:34Speaker 7: I thought Sam did a great job. The first ball,
- 55:39Speaker 7: I know he wants back, but played tough. We had
- 55:43Speaker 7: probably too many hits on the quarterback. Sam, he's tough
- 55:48Speaker 7: as crap. Just kept playing, just unfazed.
- 55:51Speaker 2: With Diggs, is he still physically ramping back up?
- 55:54Speaker 7: No, he's ready to go.
- 55:55Speaker 3: He's good.
- 55:55Speaker 7: How did you feel about the offense overall today? Good
- 56:01Speaker 7: enough to win. I thought we did a lot of
- 56:03Speaker 7: good things. We should have had that last play protected,
- 56:06Speaker 7: so I'm interested to see what happened.
- 56:08Speaker 13: You put your guardian on the reserve list since we
- 56:10Speaker 13: last talked to you.
- 56:11Speaker 3: Do you have any sense of how long he.
- 56:12Speaker 7: Might be out or what the timeline is for him?
- 56:14Speaker 8: No.
- 56:18Speaker 9: Do you feel good about Ty Cotter being back this
- 56:20Speaker 9: upcoming week?
- 56:21Speaker 7: Ty has a shot to play this week. Anything else?
- 56:25Speaker 3: Okay, all right, thanks. Mike McDonald from yesterday after the
- 56:33Speaker 3: Seahawks 30-23 win, and you can tell by the tone
- 56:35Speaker 3: of his voice that he wasn't exactly thrilled. This is
- 56:38Speaker 3: not how we're going to play football around here, he said,
- 56:40Speaker 3: about the seven personal fouls. Derek Hall, we talked at
- 56:44Speaker 3: the top of the show, the two most egregious in
- 56:46Speaker 3: my mind, the three really, but the two, Nicky Manwari
- 56:50Speaker 3: headbutting the Chargers guard because he was mad that the
- 56:52Speaker 3: guard blocked him 15 yards down the field. And then
- 56:55Speaker 3: Derek Hall in a third and 24 foul. Justin Herbert
- 56:59Speaker 3: throws a two-yard pass and Hall hits the quarterback after
- 57:01Speaker 3: he throws. If he just doesn't touch him, they're punting
- 57:04Speaker 3: on fourth and 22. They get an automatic first down
- 57:07Speaker 3: out of a two-yard pass on third and 24. And
- 57:10Speaker 3: then Devin Witherspoon just rodeo throwing a guy out of
- 57:12Speaker 3: bounds on a two-yard loss wasn't exactly a team first
- 57:14Speaker 3: play either. Those are the plays McDonald was talking about
- 57:17Speaker 3: that made him somewhat upset yesterday. 49451 on your reaction
- 57:21Speaker 3: to what you just heard from the coach there and
- 57:23Speaker 3: his tone. And yes, McDonald did use the words ascribe.
- 57:26Speaker 3: I appreciate the 253 throwing that on the.
- 57:32Speaker 2: Text line.
- 57:34Speaker 3: Thanks, 253. You're on it. Close listener. And in the last, what,
- 57:39Speaker 3: 20 minutes or so, the Mariners have announced two of
- 57:41Speaker 3: their most important players have had off-season surgery already. Cal
- 57:44Speaker 3: Raleigh had surgery at UW Medical Center on October 3rd
- 57:50Speaker 3: on his left shoulder. Surgery performed by Dr. Albert Gee.
- 57:54Speaker 3: Raleigh is expected to be fully recovered prior to the
- 57:57Speaker 3: start of spring training, the Mariners have said. And Josh Naylor,
- 58:01Speaker 3: the first baseman, underwent surgery on his right wrist for
- 58:03Speaker 3: cartilage damage. Naylor is expected to be fully recovered prior
- 58:08Speaker 3: to the start of spring training, the Mariners say, for
- 58:10Speaker 3: both Naylor and Kyle Raleigh with surgeries already in the offseason.
- 58:15Speaker 3: So I guess there's one silver lining for not making
- 58:17Speaker 3: the playoffs. Those guys can get surgeries on October 3rd.
- 58:19Speaker 1: Earlier, yes.
- 58:20Speaker 10: Earlier than last year.
- 58:22Speaker 3: White baseball players are going on today. The American League
- 58:25Speaker 3: Division Series Game 2s are today. Tampa hosting the Yankees
- 58:29Speaker 3: up one game to none after winning 1-0. And then
- 58:33Speaker 3: Cleveland hosting Chicago trailing that series to the White Sox
- 58:36Speaker 3: one game to none. Did you see what happened to
- 58:37Speaker 3: San Diego and your boy Ty France on Saturday night?
- 58:41Speaker 2: My boy!
- 58:42Speaker 8: I didn't know that I was a France aficionado. Yeah,
- 58:47Speaker 8: I can't do a French accent, clearly. But yeah, no,
- 58:50Speaker 8: I didn't.
- 58:51Speaker 3: Well, you were on the sidelines of Martin Stadium.
- 58:53Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 58:54Speaker 3: Thai France hit what looked like it was going to
- 58:56Speaker 3: be a two-run home run in the ninth inning in
- 58:59Speaker 3: Milwaukee with the Padres down a run. And it hit— the
- 59:03Speaker 3: roof was closed in Milwaukee, and it hit the roof.
- 59:06Speaker 3: It hit one of the beams or wires that go
- 59:09Speaker 3: underneath the roof. the ball looked like it was soaring
- 59:12Speaker 3: out of the park and then it went straight down
- 59:15Speaker 3: and the left fielder caught it and the ground rules
- 59:17Speaker 3: in Milwaukee are if the ball hits something in over
- 59:21Speaker 3: fair territory it's a live ball right and so instead
- 59:25Speaker 3: of a home run it was an out and the
- 59:26Speaker 3: Padres lost and there were John Boy, the baseball website
- 59:32Speaker 3: that puts on audio. He has audio from the pregame
- 59:36Speaker 3: of Saturday's Padres Brewers game one when the coaches are out.
- 59:42Speaker 3: I don't think it was the two managers. Sometimes they
- 59:44Speaker 3: send out their hitting coaches or pitching coaches or bench coaches. Well,
- 59:48Speaker 3: the coaches are out at home play talking about the
- 59:50Speaker 3: ground rules of the stadium like they do at the
- 59:52Speaker 3: start of every series. And the Brewers coach says, well,
- 59:57Speaker 3: the umpires are talking about a If a ball hits
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: the roof with the roof closed, if the ball hits
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: the roof over fair territory, the ball is going to
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: be live. And the Brewers coach said, yeah, I've been
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: here six years. I've never seen that happen.
- 1:00:09Speaker 8: Well, I mean, with that high a shot, yeah. Yeah,
- 1:00:14Speaker 8: at least we know that. At least it doesn't happen.
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: All that often. And then it happened to cost the
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: Padres a playoff game. And Ty France, a game-winning, potentially
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: game-winning home run in the ninth inning. I was watching
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: that live, and I couldn't understand what had happened, and
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: neither could France.
- 1:00:29Speaker 8: I mean, that's not what you're swinging for, right? It
- 1:00:32Speaker 8: is a very rare occurrence, at least we can say.
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: The roof's too low. I know it's a sky-high fly ball,
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: but the roof's too low if a ball can hit it.
- 1:00:42Speaker 8: That's just part of the suck that happens sometimes in sports.
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: Yes. I've seen it happen at Tropicana Field because they
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: have catwalks over there and it's a lower roof. I
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: don't know, they've remodeled it since the hurricane and they
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: moved back in, but The old Tropicana field where I
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: used to cover games, I've seen it hit the catwalks there.
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: And it was a live ball then too. And I've
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: kind of seen freaky plays, but a playoff game to
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: be decided by that was weird. 49451, thanks Tacoma Dodge
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: Text Line for catching McDonald using the word ascribe. You
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: heard him talk about Trevon Diggs. Nehemiah Pritchett is keeping
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: Trevon Diggs for more than nine snaps yesterday. When they
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: went dime, Diggs came in for the first time during
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: the second quarter is the first time I noticed him.
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: He ended up playing nine snaps, but McDonald said this
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: morning on his coach's show that Pritchett has won that
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: competition to be the extra defensive back. I don't know
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: if that will continue with Diggs now that he's fully
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: got his legs under him, having not been practicing since
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: January until he resigned with the Seahawks in late August.
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: But for now, it sounds like Pritchett has just been
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: winning the job and deserves to play, and that's why
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: when they go extra DBs, Pritchett has been getting the nod.
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: And we'll see if Teron Diggs does that more going forward,
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: the 2021 All-Pro cornerback with the Dallas Cowboys. And if
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: you missed the news at the top of the hour,
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: Teron Arnold, a co-defendant in his case in Tampa, has
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: reached a plea deal that's going to send him to prison,
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: the co-defendant to prison, for 10 years and require him
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: to testify against Teron Arnold, the Seahawks cornerback who's on
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: the NFL commissioner's exempt list. Not able to practice or play, though,
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: under contract with Seattle. That doesn't sound good for his future,
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: facing eight felony charges.
- 1:02:22Speaker 8: No, at least we didn't, you know, fall in love
- 1:02:24Speaker 8: with the player or anything here before we have to
- 1:02:27Speaker 8: deal with that.
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: That was a layaway deal, and they were pending on
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: how that legal system will go in a development that
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: seems to go against Terry and Arnold today. In Tampa,
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: up next, your chance to be a part of the show.
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: We have some talkbacks. Our friend Marcus off the text
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: line put a talkback on there. Go to the iHeartRadio
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: app or 933kjr. com. Hit the red microphone button. And your text, 49451.
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: I've already read a couple of them, some Seahawk ones,
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: some Husky ones. And then 1135, your chance to win $ 1, 000. Again,
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: a new week, a new contest winning. Wipe the slate
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: clean with a new chance of $ 1, 000 thanks to the
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: Lucky Eagle Casino and Hotel. All that's coming up on
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: 93.3 KJRFM.
- 1:03:35Speaker 14: I've decided people just enjoy complaining about the Mariners. The
- 1:03:39Speaker 14: Seahawks win a game in which they would only beat
- 1:03:42Speaker 14: an injured Chargers team or the Dolphins, and people act
- 1:03:48Speaker 14: like it was a huge win. Nothing's wrong with it.
- 1:03:51Speaker 14: The Mariners win an ugly game. Everyone's pointing out each flaw.
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: That they have. What gives? Also, I'm very worried about
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: the offense. It's not very good. As Greg Bell would say,
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: more Rashid Shahid at running back, please. He's obviously the
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: best guy we have in that room now that Price
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: is hurt. Do it. You look good. Give him the ball.
- 1:04:20Speaker 6: I know Mike McDonald's supposed to be the wonder boy,
- 1:04:22Speaker 6: and he's upset at all the penalties, rightfully so. But
- 1:04:28Speaker 6: when they asked him how Sam McDonald performed, he said, great,
- 1:04:32Speaker 6: come on, great. Not hardly, you know, two sacks he
- 1:04:36Speaker 6: should have never had, intentional grounding, and an interception.
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: I call that great.
- 1:04:40Speaker 6: If I was on the team, I'd be upset at him.
- 1:04:43Speaker 13: It's more than just the Sonics leaving in 2008.
- 1:04:47Speaker 7: If you're old enough, you'll remember.
- 1:04:49Speaker 12: the constant threat of the Mariners moving to St.
- 1:04:52Speaker 7: Petersburg in the 90s and late 80s.
- 1:04:55Speaker 13: And you'll, of course, remember the moving vans, the moving
- 1:05:00Speaker 13: vans hauling the Seahawks equipment off to Southern California.
- 1:05:06Speaker 7: So, you know, Coastal, please understand.
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: Yes, we have talked about that. I covered that. I
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: covered both of those, actually, but I was in town
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: for both of those. And, yes, they did move office
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: furniture out of Kirkland to Southern California before Paul Allen
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: basically bought the team and saved them. And, yes, we've
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: talked about Slade Gordon. There should be a statue out
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: in front of T-Mobile Park of Slade Gordon. He was
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: the U.S. senator who forced a special session of the
- 1:05:35Speaker 3: Olympia legislature, the state legislature in Olympia, that created the
- 1:05:39Speaker 3: stadium district that created T-Mobile Park. Ben Sacrofield without Slade
- 1:05:44Speaker 3: Gordon forcing that. Remember, people that don't live here, the
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: state vote, the state voters, they went to the general
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: ballot and the state voters voted down a new baseball
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: stadium for the Mariners. And Slade Gordon said, no, we're
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: going to do it just by a special legislative session.
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: And that's legislative session approved it. That created the civic
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: entity that became the ballpark district down in Soto. And
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: that's how Safeco Field got built. Yeah, that's true.
- 1:06:12Speaker 7: St.
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: Pete didn't have a stadium then. And then eventually baseball
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: gave Tampa Bay an expansion team. The Devil Rays now
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: called the Rays. So, yes, thank you for the history
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: reminder because that's exactly what happened.
- 1:06:23Speaker 10: Mm-hmm. We do have a couple more that came in
- 1:06:26Speaker 10: a little late.
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: Hey, guys.
- 1:06:29Speaker 12: I'm glad the Seahawks won, but I am getting tired
- 1:06:31Speaker 12: of our fan base. All I'm seeing on social media
- 1:06:34Speaker 12: is bench Darnall, bring in Locke, fire our OC, the
- 1:06:39Speaker 12: We need to do this and that. We're 3-1. Let
- 1:06:42Speaker 12: them cook. We are doing fine. We don't need to
- 1:06:45Speaker 12: bench Darnold. He is our starter. He didn't get preseason
- 1:06:47Speaker 12: reps like Glock did. Our OC is fine. He doesn't
- 1:06:50Speaker 12: have any running backs right now. It's just a problem,
- 1:06:52Speaker 12: but we are good to go.
- 1:06:53Speaker 7: Go Hawks.
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: There you go. They did win the Super Bowl last year,
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: just a reminder.
- 1:06:59Speaker 6: Oh, my gosh.
- 1:06:59Speaker 3: Remember that thing? Eight months ago, actually, they won the
- 1:07:02Speaker 3: Super Bowl.
- 1:07:02Speaker 12: Remember that?
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: Yeah, they're three and one. Gene Bell and Jess, happy Monday.
- 1:07:06Speaker 9: Hey, just a quick reminder, because some people like to
- 1:07:09Speaker 9: defend Jerry DiPoto.
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: And blame Dan Wilson.
- 1:07:15Speaker 9: No, that's not a men's softball team. That's the last
- 1:07:22Speaker 9: 12 offseason free agent signings by analytics to Proto.
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: He's the problem. Always will be.
- 1:07:29Speaker 9: Dan Wilson had no experience.
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: iPad ball 2027.
- 1:07:32Speaker 3: That's impassioned.
- 1:07:38Speaker 10: Very, very. And also accurate.
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: 360 on the text line says, do we have any
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: more talkbacks? That was a good bushel there.
- 1:07:47Speaker 10: Yeah, hold on.
- 1:07:49Speaker 6: The ref threw so many flags yesterday, I'm surprised they
- 1:07:52Speaker 6: didn't throw one against the football for unnecessary roughness on
- 1:07:56Speaker 6: the football.
- 1:07:59Speaker 3: Against the ball itself. 30 penalties. We're talking about penalties,
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: and the Chargers had more than the Seahawks did. 16
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: of them.
- 1:08:06Speaker 10: 16 penalties.
- 1:08:09Speaker 8: And I didn't think the refs were ticky tacky with
- 1:08:13Speaker 8: most of them.
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: Except that there were a couple. That Connor O'Toole punt
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: return penalty. What's a guy to do? He's right squared
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: up on the punt returner.
- 1:08:21Speaker 10: Right.
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: If he doesn't hit him, he runs by him. He's
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: got to hit him there.
- 1:08:25Speaker 7: Yes.
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: That was a tackle.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:08:28Speaker 10: No, I'm with you on that one.
- 1:08:30Speaker 8: But a lot of them were like, what was it?
- 1:08:34Speaker 10: Seven personal fouls.
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: Seven personal fouls.
- 1:08:36Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:08:37Speaker 10: Yeah, those are the ones I'm referring to.
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: Yes, so was Mike McDonald. 360 says, if Joe Mixon
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: is actually healthy, on the text line, 49451, if Joe
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: Mixon is actually healthy, that would be an amazing pickup!
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: Absolutely love the show. You guys are always amazing. Appreciate that, 360. 360,
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: another 360. It's a sloppy win by the Hawks, but
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: still optimistic. They will get better. And that is true.
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: no team really no team unless you just quit no
- 1:09:03Speaker 3: team is worse in November December than they are in
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: September October they.
- 1:09:07Speaker 10: Just aren't right they learn they adjust.
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: Rookies guys that haven't played guys that are new to
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: the culture yeah Well, I bet you're not new to
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: this contest. $ 1, 000, your chance to win Fact or Fiction
- 1:09:19Speaker 3: is right now.
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: We're set to go. Glad you're with us.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: It's your shot at our weekly $ 1, 000 and the $ 10, 000
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: grand prize.
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: It's Fact or Fiction.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: Proudly presented by Lucky Eagle Casino and Hotel, where every
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: day feels lucky.
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: Fact or Fiction is on. Sports Radio 93.3, KJR FM.
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: I feel like I have attention deficit disorder this morning.
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: We're hopping from subject to subject and place to place. Yeah,
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: I know. There's a lot. I'm not a big football weekend.
- 1:09:51Speaker 3: We're trying to cover the baseball playoffs going on. Two
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: Mariners having surgery. Cal Raleigh, Josh Naylor having surgeries. Wrist
- 1:09:59Speaker 3: for Naylor. Left shoulder for Cal Raleigh. The Mariners say
- 1:10:02Speaker 3: both of them will be ready. for the start of
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: spring training. They just announced that this morning. Okay, factor, fixture,
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: and chance to win $ 1, 000. We do this every day, 735, 1135, 235,
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: and 335. All you have to do is win once
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: during the week out of about 20 chances, and you
- 1:10:18Speaker 3: get drawn and name put into a hat to be
- 1:10:21Speaker 3: drawn to potentially win $ 1, 000 from the Lucky Eagle Casino Resort.
- 1:10:23Speaker 3: And remember, the ones who win the most, even if
- 1:10:26Speaker 3: you don't win during a week, but you have the
- 1:10:28Speaker 3: most aggregate wins from now until December 11th, Army, Navy,
- 1:10:32Speaker 3: Football Friday from New York City that we'll be on.
- 1:10:35Speaker 3: Whoever wins the most between now and then will win
- 1:10:38Speaker 3: $ 10, 000 from Lucky Eagle Casino. And the big game in
- 1:10:41Speaker 3: college football is, guess what, in the SEC again.
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: Shocker.
- 1:10:44Speaker 3: But this weekend, the big one is number two, Georgia,
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: at number six, Alabama. The Kalen DeBoers went down to
- 1:10:50Speaker 3: Starkville and put it on Mississippi State this past weekend, 56-23. So, Georgia.
- 1:10:57Speaker 3: Here's what they've done this year. I know they haven't
- 1:10:58Speaker 3: played anybody. 63 points, 70 points, 45 points, 41 points,
- 1:11:02Speaker 3: and then this past weekend beat Vanderbilt 38-14. Alabama has
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: scored 48, 45, 50, 49, and then this past weekend,
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: as I mentioned, 56-23 for Mississippi State and that win
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: of a ranked Mississippi State team on the road. The
- 1:11:18Speaker 3: total points line on this game, the over-under, is 55.5.
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: That means 20-ish, 22-ish points per each side. I don't
- 1:11:27Speaker 3: think so. I mean, yeah, I know these are blue-chip
- 1:11:29Speaker 3: defensive players compared to who Alabama and Georgia plan, but
- 1:11:32Speaker 3: they also have five-star offensive players in this game, too.
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: I think both teams score 30 or more in a
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: shootout down in Tuscaloosa on Saturday. I'll take Georgia, Alabama,
- 1:11:42Speaker 3: and over 55.5 points. I think the total points scored
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: will be 56 or more. If you agree with me,
- 1:11:48Speaker 3: text FACT to 49451. If you disagree and you just
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: don't want to win $ 1, 000, text FICTION. Remember, our show
- 1:11:56Speaker 3: is leading the station. We have the most wins, the
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: most correct picks after a 3-2 week last week. Let's go.
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: Look at us.
- 1:12:03Speaker 10: Look at us fly.
- 1:12:04Speaker 3: Army in the under burned me last week at Louisiana Tech,
- 1:12:07Speaker 3: so I'm going to go back to regular college football
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: and over instead of under. 55.5 points. If you think
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: with me that Georgia and Alabama are going to score
- 1:12:15Speaker 3: 56 or more points, text FACT to 49451. If you disagree,
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: text FICTION to 49451. You have now about 11 minutes
- 1:12:20Speaker 3: to do that. Before he and Finesse will have another
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: chance at 235. Thank you for the college band music.
- 1:12:27Speaker 10: You're welcome.
- 1:12:29Speaker 3: Back to the text line. 49451 253 says, look out
- 1:12:33Speaker 3: for the OSU Beavers. Top-ranked quarterback and freshman wide receiver nationally. Yeah,
- 1:12:37Speaker 3: they're putting up some big points and they're favored by
- 1:12:39Speaker 3: two touchdowns over San Diego State this weekend coming up
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: down in Corvallis. So tell me, Jessamyn, how does the
- 1:12:46Speaker 3: new Pac-12 feel? Like Fresno State being a league opponent
- 1:12:49Speaker 3: or Does it feel like a league game?
- 1:12:52Speaker 10: No, it didn't, to be honest.
- 1:12:54Speaker 8: What was really weird is we had the same offensive
- 1:12:57Speaker 8: output as we did against Fresno State in the L.A.
- 1:13:00Speaker 3: Bowl.
- 1:13:01Speaker 8: 182 yards in both games. And the score was almost identical.
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: 29-6 and 26-6.
- 1:13:08Speaker 3: Okay. Didn't like it. I talked to you off air.
- 1:13:13Speaker 3: What do you think the Cougs can do to right
- 1:13:15Speaker 3: themselves offensively?
- 1:13:16Speaker 8: They've got to figure out the offensive line, to be honest.
- 1:13:18Speaker 8: And I don't think Pinnock is the problem, their quarterback.
- 1:13:21Speaker 8: He is just struggling, and they can't establish the run.
- 1:13:25Speaker 8: And when you look at him getting swallowed up and
- 1:13:28Speaker 8: just booted out of the pocket on non-designed runs all
- 1:13:30Speaker 8: the time, as well as the fact that the running
- 1:13:33Speaker 8: game can't get going, I think you need to look
- 1:13:35Speaker 8: at the offensive line.
- 1:13:38Speaker 3: To the text line again, 360, how much difference is
- 1:13:41Speaker 3: there between Kansas City's O-line and scheme that allows K-9,
- 1:13:43Speaker 3: Kevin Walker, Kenneth Walker, to be so successful? Do I
- 1:13:48Speaker 3: believe K-9 can stay healthy all year? I don't think
- 1:13:51Speaker 3: the Hawks felt they could. I don't think the Seahawks
- 1:13:54Speaker 3: thought that his chance of staying healthy is worth $ 15,
- 1:13:57Speaker 3: $ 14 million a year that the Chiefs paid him. And
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: I also don't think the Seahawks would be using them
- 1:14:03Speaker 3: like Andy Reed is using, which is in every way possible,
- 1:14:05Speaker 3: getting 80, 90% of the snaps and catching passes and
- 1:14:09Speaker 3: running the ball. That's not how they use them here
- 1:14:11Speaker 3: in Seattle. And remember last year, he was in a
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: job share that kind of ticked him off that he
- 1:14:15Speaker 3: was in a job share with Zach Charbonnet. He'd get
- 1:14:18Speaker 3: Kenneth Walker would get him down the field and then
- 1:14:20Speaker 3: Charbonnet would come in in the red zone. That's how
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: Charbonnet tied Marshawn Lynch's 12 rushing touchdowns as a team record.
- 1:14:25Speaker 3: So yeah, um, I just think Kansas City and Andy
- 1:14:29Speaker 3: Reid uses his running backs in the past game much,
- 1:14:31Speaker 3: much more extensively. And I'm talking past routes, not just
- 1:14:35Speaker 3: dump-offs and check-downs. 425, this is from Steven Abbott, who
- 1:14:40Speaker 3: is a registered attorney, according to this text, with his
- 1:14:44Speaker 3: bar numbers on it. We're talking about Terran Arnold. His
- 1:14:47Speaker 3: co-conspirator criminal got 10 years after he pled to the
- 1:14:51Speaker 3: crime and agreed to flip on Terran Arnold? Yeah, Arnold's
- 1:14:55Speaker 3: never playing again. That may be true. It didn't look good,
- 1:14:59Speaker 3: for sure. 253, hi, isn't Kenny McIntosh still out there
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: talking about the Seahawks' need and trying out Joe Mixon
- 1:15:06Speaker 3: at running back today on a free agent visit? Yes,
- 1:15:08Speaker 3: Kenny McIntosh is still out there. They cut him this spring,
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: this summer, right before or early in training camp after
- 1:15:15Speaker 3: he did not recover from reconstructive knee surgery to their liking.
- 1:15:19Speaker 3: But he is now a free agent. And, in fact,
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: Kenny McIntosh and Damian Martinez tried out with the Dolphins
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: last week. Remember, Martinez was a seventh-round pick from Oregon
- 1:15:27Speaker 3: State and Miami. Damian Martinez and Kenny McIntosh had free
- 1:15:32Speaker 3: agent tryouts with the Dolphins last week. The Dolphins are
- 1:15:35Speaker 3: a mess. They scored 10 points yesterday and lost at Minnesota. So, yes,
- 1:15:40Speaker 3: the Seahawks obviously aren't interested in McIntosh or else they
- 1:15:43Speaker 3: know him better than anybody else in the league does.
- 1:15:46Speaker 3: At least that would have seemed that way. 206, running
- 1:15:50Speaker 3: Rashid out of the backfield in the slot has been
- 1:15:51Speaker 3: part of the long-term plan for him. It pulls a
- 1:15:54Speaker 3: defender off JSN when Rasheed threatens the same side as JSN.
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: If the defense cheats, Rasheed burns them. 253, what's your
- 1:16:02Speaker 3: opinion on George Helani? He is a dependable special teams player,
- 1:16:07Speaker 3: and he is known to be a very good pass
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: protector and pass blocker. That's why he stuck as an
- 1:16:11Speaker 3: undrafted rookie from Boise State three years ago. But yesterday
- 1:16:15Speaker 3: he missed a couple assignments again on pass blocking. He
- 1:16:18Speaker 3: missed a couple in the opener against the Patriots. He
- 1:16:21Speaker 3: almost got Sam Donald obliterated yesterday. Up the A-gap on
- 1:16:25Speaker 3: a missed pass block, it appeared. It was his assignment.
- 1:16:27Speaker 3: I would think that they would leave it unblocked, an
- 1:16:30Speaker 3: A-gap pressure, right up the middle between the guard and center.
- 1:16:35Speaker 3: Thanks for the text. Thanks for the talk. Back again,
- 1:16:37Speaker 3: you've got about seven minutes on our Factor Fiction Pick today.
- 1:16:40Speaker 3: Georgia-Alabama combined points over 55.5. If you agree, text FACT
- 1:16:45Speaker 3: to 49451. If you disagree, text FICTION to 49451. Ian Furness,
- 1:16:49Speaker 3: the mayor of Maple Valley, is up next. He's going
- 1:16:51Speaker 3: to talk with Jessamine about what he's got on his
- 1:16:53Speaker 3: show today coming up on 93.3 KJRFM.
- 1:17:06Speaker 10: Welcome back to The Greg Bell Show.
- 1:17:07Speaker 8: My name is Jessamyn McIntyre, and Greg is off doing
- 1:17:10Speaker 8: all the work that he has to do all the time.
- 1:17:14Speaker 8: Another reminder that we have something extremely special for you.
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: Chalk Talk with Hugh Millen.
- 1:17:19Speaker 8: He'll be breaking down the old 22 film, which is
- 1:17:22Speaker 8: something that you rarely get to see. You only get
- 1:17:24Speaker 8: to hear it from us, but he will be live
- 1:17:26Speaker 8: and in person. Join us this Thursday at 5 o'clock
- 1:17:29Speaker 8: at Tulalip Resort Casino for Chalk Talk. And reserve your
- 1:17:33Speaker 8: spot by texting us your first and last name, phone number,
- 1:17:36Speaker 8: and email address to 49451. Spots are going fast. So
- 1:17:40Speaker 8: get on in there. I now have the pleasure of
- 1:17:42Speaker 8: welcoming in the one and only Ian Furness. Ian, how
- 1:17:45Speaker 8: I've missed you.
- 1:17:46Speaker 3: Hi, Jess.
- 1:17:47Speaker 11: How are you?
- 1:17:48Speaker 3: Excellent.
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: How about you?
- 1:17:49Speaker 3: You left me, so, I mean, I don't know.
- 1:17:52Speaker 8: Yeah, this is my holding a radio over my head situation.
- 1:17:55Speaker 8: I'm very John Cusack in this situation.
- 1:17:57Speaker 11: That's what somebody texted last week. They said we had
- 1:18:01Speaker 11: one of the... There's a texter every week during the Funston,
- 1:18:04Speaker 11: as you well know, during the Funston segment that always sends, like,
- 1:18:06Speaker 11: fun stuff in, like, you know, pick this, pick that.
- 1:18:08Speaker 11: You know, it's, you know, dicks are in and out.
- 1:18:14Speaker 11: Get rid of Jerry or Dan Wilson. This one was,
- 1:18:19Speaker 11: you can only have one start, sit, Jessamyn, Kevin Shockey,
- 1:18:23Speaker 11: or Anderson Hurst. And I said none because they all
- 1:18:28Speaker 11: left me. And so I'm taking Ashley because she hasn't
- 1:18:30Speaker 11: left me.
- 1:18:32Speaker 7: Yet.
- 1:18:35Speaker 11: It still could happen. I mean, we're early in the process,
- 1:18:38Speaker 11: so it could happen. I thought I was fairly easy
- 1:18:40Speaker 11: to work with, but apparently not. Apparently everyone leaves me.
- 1:18:42Speaker 8: Well, Ian, I just set you up for success, handed
- 1:18:45Speaker 8: everything on a silver platter.
- 1:18:46Speaker 3: Is that what it was?
- 1:18:46Speaker 10: Okay and then I was like well he's good to
- 1:18:48Speaker 10: go now.
- 1:18:49Speaker 11: Yeah well okay I don't know no Ashley's been great
- 1:18:52Speaker 11: we've got a lot of fun so it's been it's
- 1:18:54Speaker 11: been fun.
- 1:18:54Speaker 10: Yeah I think you guys are a fantastic match yeah
- 1:18:57Speaker 10: it's been a lot of fun so that's great.
- 1:18:58Speaker 11: Yeah yeah we're doing well how are you uh you.
- 1:19:00Speaker 8: Know what the kooks it was not exactly the funnest
- 1:19:03Speaker 8: time of my.
- 1:19:05Speaker 3: Career worst quarterback in college football He is.
- 1:19:08Speaker 10: You think it's the quarterback issue.
- 1:19:10Speaker 3: Oh, he's awful.
- 1:19:12Speaker 10: I don't think he's that bad.
- 1:19:13Speaker 3: He's awful.
- 1:19:14Speaker 10: I think he makes bad decisions.
- 1:19:16Speaker 11: Well, that's part of being a quarterback.
- 1:19:18Speaker 7: It is.
- 1:19:19Speaker 3: So you think it's the offensive coordinator?
- 1:19:21Speaker 10: I think it's the offensive line.
- 1:19:23Speaker 11: Well, that's even more of a troubling concern since they
- 1:19:24Speaker 11: brought all those guys back and spent money on them.
- 1:19:27Speaker 8: I know. I know, but they, it's just, it might be,
- 1:19:31Speaker 8: you know, I'm not really in the position because I
- 1:19:33Speaker 8: don't know where things are.
- 1:19:35Speaker 10: Obviously, Kirby Moore has not been running the offense.
- 1:19:38Speaker 8: So the offensive coordinator, I don't know if there's a
- 1:19:40Speaker 8: miscommunication with the team in what they're doing at the
- 1:19:44Speaker 8: line of scrimmage or what, but that would fall in
- 1:19:47Speaker 8: a coaching.
- 1:19:48Speaker 11: Yeah, I mean, I think there's no one thing. Caden
- 1:19:52Speaker 11: Pinnock's not the guy. Never will be the guy. Shouldn't
- 1:19:55Speaker 11: be the guy in the first place. That's a talent
- 1:19:57Speaker 11: evaluation problem. Yeah, I'm going to get into this a
- 1:20:02Speaker 11: little bit today. Not just so much with ours, but
- 1:20:04Speaker 11: with just where college football is a little bit. We'll get, obviously,
- 1:20:08Speaker 11: a lot of Seahawks conversation. He'll be on at 1
- 1:20:10Speaker 11: o'clock with Hardcore Football, which I guess is a preview
- 1:20:12Speaker 11: of what he's doing. What's he doing Thursday? He's doing a.
- 1:20:14Speaker 3: Chalk Talk?
- 1:20:14Speaker 10: Chalk Talk, yeah. Live at the Tulalip.
- 1:20:16Speaker 7: Good. So, yes.
- 1:20:18Speaker 11: We did that years ago with him when we used
- 1:20:21Speaker 11: to have a KGR Cares-a-thon. And when we were doing that,
- 1:20:27Speaker 11: one of the things that we auctioned off was Chalk
- 1:20:29Speaker 11: Talk with Hugh.
- 1:20:31Speaker 3: We had it the old.
- 1:20:32Speaker 11: You were never in the old part of the building, right?
- 1:20:35Speaker 10: I was. No, I wasn't.
- 1:20:37Speaker 8: The old part of this building, yes. I came in
- 1:20:39Speaker 8: one time to fill in with gym one time.
- 1:20:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:20:43Speaker 10: When I wasn't working here, but.
- 1:20:44Speaker 11: We had a huge, we had this big, like kind of,
- 1:20:46Speaker 11: I don't want to say auditorium, but like kind of
- 1:20:48Speaker 11: this big space that, uh, with couches, I mean, you
- 1:20:51Speaker 11: could fit like a hundred people in there and like
- 1:20:53Speaker 11: a little stage. And yeah, it was really awesome. And
- 1:20:56Speaker 11: we did it. They did a thing with jock talk
- 1:20:57Speaker 11: with Hugh. I think that's what they did it out.
- 1:20:59Speaker 11: But anyway, it was always a, it was always a big,
- 1:21:02Speaker 11: you know, big, fundraiser. It would sell out. I think
- 1:21:06Speaker 11: it was like the first people, however many people paid,
- 1:21:09Speaker 11: X amount of dollars would get in there. And it
- 1:21:11Speaker 11: was always a huge deal that he would do. I mean,
- 1:21:15Speaker 11: we give you a little taste of what you're going
- 1:21:16Speaker 11: to get. Are we still taking reservations?
- 1:21:19Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:21:19Speaker 10: 49451, first, last name, email.
- 1:21:22Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:21:23Speaker 11: We'll tease what it is, but this will be in
- 1:21:26Speaker 11: person with you able to see the video, right, with
- 1:21:29Speaker 11: Chalk Talk, is what we do with Hardcore Football every Monday.
- 1:21:32Speaker 8: Right.
- 1:21:32Speaker 3: That's kind of what we do.
- 1:21:33Speaker 7: It is.
- 1:21:34Speaker 8: And this is a chance to see it live and
- 1:21:35Speaker 8: in person and also get the film. Yeah.
- 1:21:38Speaker 10: Which I think is really special.
- 1:21:39Speaker 3: Yeah, because we're doing radio.
- 1:21:40Speaker 11: Yeah, we're doing radio. It's like, you know, I follow
- 1:21:42Speaker 11: along usually with the video. But if you're driving in
- 1:21:44Speaker 11: the car, sometimes maybe it might be a little bit harder.
- 1:21:46Speaker 11: But yeah, nobody's the mind of Millen is like no other.
- 1:21:49Speaker 11: And if you can get a chance to go do
- 1:21:51Speaker 11: that on Thursday, man, go do it. It'd be a
- 1:21:53Speaker 11: ton of fun for you and a lot of. A
- 1:21:55Speaker 11: lot of informative stuff coming your way with him.
- 1:21:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I love it.
- 1:22:00Speaker 10: I learn from him every single week.
- 1:22:02Speaker 3: Absolutely.
- 1:22:02Speaker 7: Yes.
- 1:22:03Speaker 10: All right, what else is going on today?
- 1:22:04Speaker 11: Yeah, so Hugh Millen at 1 o'clock today, Mike Sando
- 1:22:06Speaker 11: at 2, and we'll get into all the weekend's goings-on
- 1:22:09Speaker 11: with college football. And, of course, the Seahawks win over
- 1:22:12Speaker 11: the Chargers yesterday.
- 1:22:14Speaker 3: It's 49ers week. Quick look ahead.
- 1:22:16Speaker 11: That means Knucklehead Lund tomorrow will be on about a
- 1:22:19Speaker 11: 10 since they're 4-0, and Their quarterback has yet to
