- 0:00Speaker 1: Let's I'll start to you to present Off the Bench.
- 0:04Speaker 2: This is what we have been waiting for.
- 0:05Speaker 1: The hype is over. Off the Bench. It is I
- 0:08gotta come off the fitch. Now here's Jacob Hester.
- 0:16Speaker 3: Welcome In a Thursday edition of Off the Bench, Taylor
- 0:19Sharp here with you in the host chair for jacob
- 0:21Hester one more time. Our guy will be back tomorrow
- 0:24and then on Monday, the new era of Off the Bench,
- 0:27Jacob Hester, Matt Flenn, myself, a Landra Villarreal. We will
- 0:31be at it starting on Monday morning. Speaking of we
- 0:34got a Landra here, Landra, how we do win this morning?
- 0:37Speaker 4: Good?
- 0:38Speaker 5: I'm ready for the weekend.
- 0:40Speaker 6: Yeah, I know.
- 0:40Speaker 3: I'm ready for the weekend already. It's like we weren't
- 0:43here Monday. I was off the last three days of
- 0:46the week before, and whenever I come back, it just
- 0:48seems like it's busier than when.
- 0:50Speaker 6: I left, which is uh, which is insane.
- 0:53Speaker 3: Okay, So yesterday, we know we started the show with
- 0:56Jordan's wardrobe mouthfunction. We all had a we ought to
- 0:59go would laugh about it, and you know that's what
- 1:02we do on OTV. We get to the bottom of things,
- 1:04whether Jordan's wardrobe malfunction was intentional or not intentional. We
- 1:07grilled him a little bit yesterday morning when Jake was
- 1:10here before I went on vacation, we talked about the
- 1:13guy who took a dump in the Guarantee parking lot.
- 1:15Speaker 6: We wound up getting behind that as well.
- 1:18Speaker 7: Brittany had to let me know that I walked right past. Yeah,
- 1:20I didn't even know that.
- 1:22Speaker 6: You saw it on the security camera.
- 1:25Speaker 3: But today we have another case dissolve and this involves
- 1:30our Jordan Kitchens. This is the car Key Caper case
- 1:34and a Lauandra is actually indirectly involved in this story.
- 1:37Speaker 6: She just doesn't know it yet. Jordan.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Oh no, she knows. Okay, we had a whole Okay, no,
- 1:41we had a whole. Uh you want to call it?
- 1:45Speaker 6: Tell us what happened?
- 1:46Speaker 3: Because you normally leave here like one thirty, because of
- 1:49hitting of them are done it like once you're one thirty,
- 1:52two o'clock. Yes, dude, it's three thirty, I'm leaving. You
- 1:55were still sitting in your car in the rain. Okay,
- 1:58give us a little what happened?
- 2:00Speaker 7: Okay, all right, let me just let me just preface
- 2:02this for everybody. Get a little bit to know a
- 2:05little about me. I am a very meticulous person. Everything
- 2:08I do makes sense. So I'm not the type of
- 2:10person that I'm not. No, no, no, I'm not a
- 2:13type of person where I'm like forgetting my keys or
- 2:16leaving my wallet, especially because I have to travel for work,
- 2:19so before I leave, I make sure I have everything
- 2:21ready to go. That's that's numal un no number one.
- 2:24So you know how to come in early for OTB yesterday.
- 2:26So I guess I was just a little groggy or
- 2:28whatever and just didn't hear my keys fall in the grass.
- 2:31That's what it was. Because they fell in the grass.
- 2:33They didn't fall it. If it hit the concrete, you know,
- 2:34it probably made a noise. And oh you know I
- 2:37dropped my keys or whatever. So you know, when hit
- 2:38the grass silent like like a Native American walking on
- 2:41leaves silent. So next thing, you know, I just I'm.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Ready to leave.
- 2:46Speaker 7: You know, I finished uploading live at lunch. I'll tap in.
- 2:49I finish uploading live for lunch, and I and I'm
- 2:51ready to get up out of here. And I hit
- 2:52my pockets and I wear cargo pants and I keep
- 2:55everything in my cargo pants. Pockets I'm hit my pockets.
- 2:57I'm like, my wallet's here, where are my keys? So
- 3:02red flag? Where are my keys? That's the US didn't happen.
- 3:05I'll be checking it in my bag, not in my bag.
- 3:07So I'm like, okay, cool, let me go. Because it's
- 3:09only a certain amount of areas I went that morning
- 3:12here my studio and for the meeting that you know,
- 3:15on the fourth floor. So I hit all those spots
- 3:18nowhere to be found. And so I remember, I will
- 3:20go out there by you and I'm like just ripping
- 3:22the deaths up and I'm like, dude.
- 3:24Speaker 6: You were frantic.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Yeah, cause it's like, well, my keys are going. I
- 3:30live in New Orleans.
- 3:31Speaker 7: We just stay the night on the counch man, please listen.
- 3:34So I'm just I just cannot believe. I don't know
- 3:37what my keys are. So I'm just looking around, looking around,
- 3:38looking around. So I'll go outside where my car is,
- 3:41and you know, they're doing a construction by the church,
- 3:44and you know the construction guy he's sitting. You know,
- 3:46it's a black guy. They were like smoking the Jael.
- 3:48He's like, uh yeah, you're smoking the Joe. Real cool.
- 3:52He's like, hey, this is your car. I'm like, yeah,
- 3:55this is my car, you know, I'm over there. I'm
- 3:57like because my door was un locked.
- 3:59Speaker 2: Weird. So I'm like, you know, trying to see if
- 4:01they stole something anything. Nothing.
- 4:03Speaker 7: They didn't even touch the inside of my car, which
- 4:05is weird. I ain't gonna say too much. I got
- 4:07items in there that you know, if you wanted to
- 4:08steal it, you could have stolen. So I'm looking around
- 4:12and dudes like, yeah, man, this this lady. She had
- 4:14your keys man, blah blah blah. She was looking for you.
- 4:18But I'm like, well, does she leave a name? What
- 4:19did she look like? He's like, yeah, it was this
- 4:21a little black lady. Keep this in mind, we're in
- 4:25South Louisiana. We're in Batton Rugseley, and this is not Wisconsin.
- 4:30This is not uh North Dakota. This is not South Dakota.
- 4:33It's black. It's black people every corner. Like So, if
- 4:36you're gonna give me a description of a little black
- 4:38lady by a Baptist church, that is that is like
- 4:41what That's like going to an EDM concert and be like,
- 4:45hey man, there's somebody here with drugs. Everybody here has drugs,
- 4:48like it doesn't matter. You're gonna you can't give me
- 4:49that description. So now I'm like, I'm now I'm really
- 4:54tripping because the stories or was like, yeah, lady's looking.
- 4:57Speaker 2: For your keys.
- 4:58Speaker 7: She went over there, she gave your keys over there.
- 5:00So I go to our you know, I go back
- 5:01across the street to guarantee. I go in there. I
- 5:04go to Lady Jag matter of fact, because I'm like, well,
- 5:06if anybody were gonna turn something in, she's gonna be
- 5:08the first one with it. So I go to her
- 5:10and I'm like, Lady Jack, you know, I'm looking at
- 5:12anybody turns some keys in. She pulls out like a
- 5:15Janitor ring of keys, like, yeah, somebody turned these in.
- 5:17Speaker 2: I'm like, well, what I'm gonna do with Janitor keys?
- 5:20These ain't These ain't my keys.
- 5:22Speaker 7: And so I'm like talking to myself going to the elevator,
- 5:24and I hear Landja in the office. She's like, uh,
- 5:27She's like, are you good? What's going on? I'm like, dude,
- 5:29I don't know what my keys are. Like, somebody stole
- 5:31my keys. Go back upstairs. I'm like, Taylor, they're gone.
- 5:34Somebody stole them. It's like, bro, nobody stole your keys? Manbody,
- 5:37what are you talking about?
- 5:38Speaker 3: Because Jordan, when I was trying to explain to you, dude,
- 5:40no one stole your keys. If your car is still here,
- 5:44was still to steal keys, you would have to take
- 5:46the vehicle exactly.
- 5:48Speaker 2: So that's why I was so irate a little bit.
- 5:51Speaker 7: It's because so you take my you take the keys, lady,
- 5:54you don't take nothing out of the car. I think
- 5:56in my mind she was waiting till you know, like
- 5:58eight nine o'clock, come back around car. I'm still there.
- 6:00Now I'm about to get up in that thing. I'm
- 6:01out of there. So I'm like losing my mind at
- 6:04this point because they talking about that. Like I said,
- 6:08the description is this little black lady which the keys.
- 6:10She came to the office, so Elanza tells me, like,
- 6:13oh no, she did come over there. So the stories
- 6:15now the stories make sense. She did go there, but
- 6:18she didn't give up my keys.
- 6:19Speaker 5: She's been super weird thou.
- 6:20Speaker 6: So, so that's the thing.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Like she she took the time to go to the
- 6:23church as if it belonged to them in there, yes,
- 6:25and then they said, hey, it probably belongs across the street.
- 6:27Speaker 6: She comes in there, but then just leaves with the.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Keys, leaves with the key, don't even leave a name.
- 6:32Speaker 3: So why the hell did she waste her time walking
- 6:34to two different buildings?
- 6:35Speaker 2: Nicely?
- 6:35Speaker 7: Why I'm pissed? Well, I can't know what I said
- 6:37on on the RADI yeah, and I see why I
- 6:38was mad. It's because, like, so, you didn't leave a
- 6:41name a number, like, okay, well if he does show up,
- 6:44here's how you can get in contact with me, here's whatever.
- 6:47So she didn't get the keys up, but she did
- 6:49come over here, you know, be like, all right, somebody
- 6:51lost their keys. So this is so, this is some
- 6:53random lady with my keys, right, And at this point
- 6:58you didn't even know about this. Taylor saw.
- 7:00Speaker 2: I see a black lady with some red keys. You know,
- 7:02my keys. I have like a little red Nike tag
- 7:05on my keys.
- 7:06Speaker 7: Oh.
- 7:06Speaker 2: I ran at her, ran up full sprint.
- 7:09Speaker 3: She's like, oh my god, what else do you do?
- 7:13Speaker 2: A man? At that point I ran, I'm like, oh
- 7:15my du are my keys? Those are my keys?
- 7:16Speaker 7: Find out the red thing or her keys was like
- 7:18a bottle opener or something like that. So it wasn't
- 7:20even because it wasn't even that. And then so I'm like,
- 7:24I'm just extremely iron and this it's scary because there
- 7:28is this lady lurking around in this area with the
- 7:31extra key to my car, just waiting, just waiting, Like
- 7:35I can't even park back there no more because I
- 7:36just know once she might just come back around and
- 7:38go hoping that thing.
- 7:39Speaker 2: So, to make.
- 7:41Speaker 7: A long story short, my sister had to come through,
- 7:44bring me the extra uh, bring me the extra key.
- 7:46You know, so very grateful to have people in your
- 7:49life that can sit there and do that for you.
- 7:51But in the moment, especially once when Elijah came with
- 7:55her side of the story about Leno, like this lady
- 7:57does exist. She did pull up, but she didn't give
- 8:00up the keys. That just made it worse because it's like,
- 8:02what logical sense does.
- 8:04Speaker 6: That make, Jordan.
- 8:05Speaker 3: I'm not saying then I hope this happens. All I'm
- 8:07saying is it would be funny. You walk out there
- 8:09and you're like, yep, she came back vehicle gone.
- 8:11Speaker 7: Oh no, oh see I parked in front of the
- 8:13station today. Oh come try these cameras. Oh we waiting
- 8:16on you, We waiting on you, were waiting on you.
- 8:18Speaker 3: Hey, the cameras have already caught someone in. We got
- 8:21her too. Okay, but do you feel a little bit
- 8:25better at least because yesterday you were running around frantic saying,
- 8:30I don't know who somebody stole my keys. They were
- 8:32right here in my pocket them.
- 8:35Speaker 6: Okay.
- 8:35Speaker 3: But I was like, Jordan, like nobody reached into your
- 8:37pocket without you noticing, pulling out the keys, leaving the
- 8:40wallet and all of that. Like, and I have you know,
- 8:44I went on a little wild goose chase for you.
- 8:46Speaker 6: I went in all these studios behind you.
- 8:48Speaker 3: I went into the podcast studio, the brand new one.
- 8:52Speaker 6: I tell you what. I even did.
- 8:53Speaker 3: I even shine my light in that little hole in
- 8:55the floor in the second floor studiocause I was like, oh,
- 8:58if they fell out of his pocket, maybe they've fell
- 9:00in there.
- 9:00Speaker 6: Nothing.
- 9:01Speaker 7: But I knew you was doing that because you saw me.
- 9:03I was talking to one of the guys.
- 9:04Speaker 6: Because I was about to leave, and I'm like, that's raining.
- 9:07I was like, can I hold off anyway? I ain't
- 9:10getting no nelsony.
- 9:11Speaker 7: About to say the little dude that I was talking to,
- 9:13That's why when we turned around and looked at you
- 9:14in the stairwell, He's.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Like, you know that guy.
- 9:16Speaker 7: Oh my yead, that's my boy tailor he looking for
- 9:17my keys. I just knew you was looking for him.
- 9:19But now, like I said, I just appreciate the effort.
- 9:22You know, people, even though this lady's walking around and honestly,
- 9:25I'll be honest with you guys right now, if I
- 9:27do see her, she's getting RKO like Randy Orton Prime,
- 9:30Randy Ordon arc.
- 9:31Speaker 6: So what you say it is if you don't chow
- 9:33up tomorrow and I have to do live at launch
- 9:35it just because you are in jail. He actually, we
- 9:40don't know if she's old.
- 9:41Speaker 7: I'm about to say this is retaliation, all right? Are
- 9:44You're just not gonna just run off of my keys
- 9:45and act like, oh, you know, I tried to give
- 9:48him away. I tried to give him back. You didn't
- 9:50try to do anything, lady.
- 9:51Speaker 5: She really didn't.
- 9:52Speaker 4: Exactly, she really did not like she was being super weird.
- 9:57She I was walking by the door and she like
- 10:00comes up knocking to it. Not even lady jack store,
- 10:02like the side door that I come in through, and
- 10:07so I just like opened it and she's like, does
- 10:10anybody own that car back there? And I'm like, well,
- 10:12I'm sure someone does I don't know who, Like, I
- 10:15don't know what Jordan drives, Like, I don't know what
- 10:18anybody here drives. And like you said, there's people at
- 10:23the church, there's construction people in and out of guarantee whatever.
- 10:25And then she's like, oh, well, uh they drop something
- 10:30and I have it. And I was like okay, well
- 10:32like what or I was like, well, what do you need?
- 10:34And she was like, they drop something and I haven't.
- 10:36I was like, well, what is it? And she's like, well,
- 10:38I'm not gonna give it to you or tell you
- 10:39if if it doesn't belong to anybody.
- 10:41Speaker 6: Here, that's weird, weird, Jordan.
- 10:45Speaker 3: We have to find like, you need one of those checking.
- 10:47I want to know where the hell your keys are?
- 10:48Does she still have them? Did she just go turn
- 10:50them into b RP?
- 10:52Speaker 2: Literally walking around?
- 10:53Speaker 7: I swear, I know this lady is waiting for me
- 10:56to go park back there again. And while I'm in here,
- 10:59she's gonna go I I told you, I have every
- 11:02construction guy over there. They don't stand by. They're like, hey, man,
- 11:04we see your keys were getting there?
- 11:06Speaker 3: Like no, honestly, ready, in a situation like this, structured
- 11:10workers are really good people.
- 11:12Speaker 2: They were super chick.
- 11:12Speaker 6: Don't play around.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Oh, they don't play.
- 11:14Speaker 7: They don't play especially because there was like, that's on me, man,
- 11:16I should have made her give us the keys man
- 11:18because she did come in there and ask about the
- 11:20keys man and matter of fact, she was acting weird.
- 11:22And that's when Elijah said the same thing that she
- 11:24was acting weird. So that's why all the stories added up.
- 11:27It wasn't like I got this sword this story over here.
- 11:30I got this story over here. Know, everybody had the
- 11:32same exact story about this lady. Honestly, Elija, be honest,
- 11:36she probably wanted some type of money reward.
- 11:38Speaker 2: That's why her. Yeah, She's like, oh that's why. Yeah. Man,
- 11:43So it is what it is.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Man.
- 11:46Speaker 7: Just you just all you gotta do is just be
- 11:47grateful you have people in your life that can help
- 11:50you out in a time of need.
- 11:51Speaker 8: Well.
- 11:51Speaker 6: I appreciate that wild start to the show.
- 11:53Speaker 3: I am still trying to figure out what the hell's
- 11:55going on with these crowns and numbers in the YouTube chat.
- 11:58I have never seen it before my life. Brian Burgess
- 12:01is number one. You got a handful of twos, a
- 12:04handful of threes. Daniel Basham and Daniel Blunt have nothing
- 12:06next to their names, which is really funny because they're
- 12:09probably in here the most. I don't know what these
- 12:11crowns mean. Trying to do some digging, trying to search,
- 12:14try to figure out what it is. I don't know, Jordan,
- 12:18I emailed you a picture before the show. Yes, we're
- 12:20about to go to break but before we do, I
- 12:22gotta give a little birthday shout out.
- 12:24Speaker 6: Guys, my best is.
- 12:26Speaker 3: But of course I'm talking about my main guy, Frankie
- 12:29right here, two years old today.
- 12:31Speaker 6: Okay, the Australian.
- 12:33Speaker 3: Shepherd, the guy, the Frankster, two years old today. Happy
- 12:37birthday to my guy FRANKI all right, look, we're gonna
- 12:40take a time out. When we get back, we're gonna
- 12:42talk a little LSU football. Well, Brian Kelly audio. A
- 12:45little bit later on in the show, Jake interviewed him yesterday.
- 12:48He sent that back, but LSU Wire put out something
- 12:51interesting about ranking every SEC offensive line. LSU pretty high
- 12:55on that list. We'll break that down next here on
- 12:56Off the Bench.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Off the Bench.
- 13:00Speaker 8: Trangers dot com Trashrangers dot com is the website. And
- 13:04remember we told you yesterday, gonna remind you again for
- 13:07Memorial Day.
- 13:08Speaker 2: There is not going to be a delay in service.
- 13:11Speaker 8: All routes will run as normally scheduled on Friday and
- 13:15also on Monday, which is Memorial Day, so enjoy the holiday.
- 13:19They have got the trash covered. Another great service you're
- 13:23going to get. And if you are one of the
- 13:25lucky ones that has the ability to have trash rangers
- 13:28pick up your trash, well you get all the benefits.
- 13:32You get pick up a Memorial Day, you get a
- 13:34text reminder that hey, tomorrow's trash day. Don't get in trouble,
- 13:39go put your trash out. I wish I had it,
- 13:41but if you're lucky enough to do it, why would
- 13:43you not do it? You can sign up for residential
- 13:46and commercial service right there on the bottom of the
- 13:49homepage roll off Dumpsters, three different sizes to choose from.
- 13:52Give them a call today, get everything set up. Two
- 13:54to five, three six three nine zero five to three.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Welcome back to Off the Bench.
- 14:04Speaker 7: Come on, all.
- 14:23Speaker 6: Right, welcome back.
- 14:24Speaker 3: In Thursday edition of Off the Bench, Taylor Trump here
- 14:27with you, filling in for Jacob Hesser almost said two
- 14:31over two.
- 14:34Speaker 6: Dead to me. Saw him yesterday. He actually he actually
- 14:37gave me a little gift.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Uh here.
- 14:40Speaker 3: We'll get into this a little bit later. It's uh
- 14:43something he just gave me on the way out. He's
- 14:45cleaning out stuff. We'll get into it a little bit later.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Okay, I didn't even see you walk in with that.
- 14:49Speaker 6: I had it at the desk. I left. I just
- 14:51left it here. Oh it was just it was sitting
- 14:53at the desk. Anyways.
- 14:56Speaker 3: Will Rosenblade of l s U Wire yesterday decided he
- 14:59was going to rank every op offensive line in the SEC,
- 15:01and he preferences this by saying, I have considered returning production,
- 15:05talent level, and coaching to try and assess which units
- 15:08are in the best position entering twenty twenty five. Now
- 15:11we ranked all sixteen in the conference. I'm not going
- 15:13to get into all of them, but at number six overall,
- 15:17he's the LSU typees and you know that's a big
- 15:20question mark. Probably the biggest question mark on this team
- 15:22heading into this season is the offensive line, and he
- 15:25has them six out of sixteen SEC teams. He does
- 15:29mention that they're one of the tougher teams to rank
- 15:31on this list because they lost four NFL draft picks.
- 15:36But I wanted to kind of look at what you
- 15:38lost what you return as far as guys that were
- 15:41on the roster last year, which freshmen are coming in,
- 15:44and the transfers that you added is six too high
- 15:48for LSU. There's talent, but a lot of it is unproven.
- 15:52Here's what you lost, Will Campbell, Garrett Dellinger, Miles Frasier,
- 15:56Emrie Jones. All four multi year starters on your offensive line.
- 15:59Your two gods and your two tackles. That's a ton
- 16:04of production, especially with Campbell and Jones, who have been
- 16:06three year starters in this program essentially since the day
- 16:09they got on campus. I mean, Will Campbell was a
- 16:11day one starter. Jones not a day one, but I
- 16:14mean what third or fourth game into his freshman year
- 16:17he grabbed that right tackle spot.
- 16:19Speaker 6: Never let it go for three years.
- 16:20Speaker 3: So for all purposes, we'll just say full three year
- 16:24starters for both of those guys. Dellinger, Fraser, if you remember,
- 16:29Fraser came in after playing his first season out in Florida.
- 16:34He comes in, He's a multi year starter here. Garrett
- 16:36Dellinger came in as a five star. He was a
- 16:38three year starter here. I mean, just so much talent
- 16:40and experience between those four guys, what do you return?
- 16:44Dj Chester is back. He's the only returning starter from
- 16:47last year's offensive line. But the word is DJ Chester
- 16:51might not even play center by all accounts of you
- 16:55know what the rotation looked like during spring practice. All
- 16:57the reports coming out of camp was that they'd like
- 17:00to move him to guard. However, he still cross trained
- 17:03guard and center. So you have Chester back. He's your
- 17:06only full time returning starter. Now Paul Mabingo returns to guard.
- 17:10He played the last four games of the season. If
- 17:12you remember, Dellinger goes down in the A and M game,
- 17:16Mabinga slides in. Then he plays Alabama Vanderbilt Oklahoma, and
- 17:20then of course the bowl game. Mabinga struggled at times, obviously.
- 17:24I mean, look at Kyle Field in College. Station is
- 17:28a tough place to be thrown in the fire for
- 17:30your first game, and he looked bad the first two games.
- 17:33But if you go look at his PFF grade and
- 17:35how he graded out as an offensive lineman, every single
- 17:38game he got a little bit better. I think Paul
- 17:41Mabinga showed some promise at the end of the year.
- 17:44You obviously have Tyrie Adams back. He played a good
- 17:47bit at left tackle whenever Campbell needed a breather or
- 17:50in that Bowl game. Tyri Adams has played a lot
- 17:52of football for He's played some guard as well. If
- 17:54you remember before the season, Tyriy Adams went down and
- 17:57Kelly talked about how big of a blow it was
- 17:59until he got back, because he said, Tyriy Adams is
- 18:01essentially our sixth man, whether it's guard or tackle. Tyree
- 18:04Adams is going to come in. We'll shuffle the offensive
- 18:06line if we need to. So they clearly like what
- 18:10they have in a guy like Tyrie Adams. Ye also
- 18:13overturned bow bored Alawn. He can play guard, he can
- 18:15play tackle. He was uses your big tight end a
- 18:17lot last year, so I'm wearing number eighty nine out
- 18:19there a lot. Orie Williams is back Weston Davis, who
- 18:24was competing for that starting spot at right tackle.
- 18:27Speaker 6: Cohen Ackles.
- 18:28Speaker 3: He's a guy that when you signed him, was a
- 18:31little bit under size, maybe a little bit under recruited,
- 18:34but they really like his potential in the future as
- 18:38a possible center on this team. She do have talent
- 18:41coming back, and just outside of dj Chester, very limited
- 18:44experience as far as starting goes. Now, you did a
- 18:47good job in the transfer portal Braylon Moore and Josh Thompson.
- 18:51Braylon Moore, obviously one of the highest rated offensive lineman
- 18:55in the transfer portal, was a multi year starter at
- 18:58center at Virginia Tech. When he came in a lot
- 19:00of people said, hey, he's the day one starting center.
- 19:03But if you go back and look at spring practice,
- 19:05they're making him earn it. DJ Chester was getting first
- 19:07team reps. Then they would move Chester to guard. Mo
- 19:09Moreward slide in there to center. I think in a
- 19:13perfect world and what the coaches would prefer, this is
- 19:16just entirely my opinion, Braylan Moore would be the starting center.
- 19:20DJ Chester would take over at one of those two
- 19:22guard spots because you have the most experienced that way, right,
- 19:27Because Chester's played a ton. His natural position when he
- 19:30came to LSU was a guard. Anyways, he kind of
- 19:32played center out of necessity. Then you have Braylan Moore
- 19:35who can step in there be a starting center, has
- 19:37played center at a high level at a power for
- 19:39program at Virginia Tech. That's really good veteran presence right
- 19:44there in the middle. Did you bring in Josh Thompson
- 19:47from Northwestern? You could play guard, he could play tackle.
- 19:50Most like him at guard, I said a little bit earlier,
- 19:53when spring practice was going on, I might prefer him
- 19:56at tackle. We'll get into what the starting offensive line
- 20:00may look like here in a minute. But Braila Moore,
- 20:01Josh Thompson, both of those guys I expect to start
- 20:04on this offensive line.
- 20:07Speaker 6: Now, as far as.
- 20:07Speaker 3: Freshmen go, you brought in two big ones. Solomon Thomas
- 20:10carryus Current, both highly highly recruited guys. Kerrent reportedly can
- 20:14play guard or tackle, and then Solomon Thomas just a
- 20:17big guy right there in the middle. He is likely
- 20:20a guard at the next level. And then you signed
- 20:22Tyler Miller as well, who is also a freshman on
- 20:25this offensive line. So what will the starting rotation on
- 20:29this offensive line look like. I think Tyree Adams has
- 20:33locked up the left tackle position, because if you go
- 20:35back in the spring and you look at the offensive
- 20:37line rotations, the one constant on that first string offensive
- 20:42line with Tyree Adams at left tackle, you moved around
- 20:45her guards a little bit.
- 20:46Speaker 6: Right tackle has been a battle. We'll get into that
- 20:48in a minute.
- 20:48Speaker 3: Obviously, Chester and more kind of seeing who's gonna play guard,
- 20:52who's gonna play center. But Tyree Adams was the was
- 20:55the constant. He was the steady presence on that offensive
- 20:58line in the spring. I think Tyrietdams since your left tackle,
- 21:00no question about it, barring some sort of injury or
- 21:03something unforeseen before the season starts. Now guard, I would
- 21:08like to see Paul Mabinga, because again I thought he
- 21:11improved a lot from his first start to his last
- 21:14start in that Bowl game. But what if it is
- 21:19DJ Chester. Let's say DJ Chester takes over left guard.
- 21:23That puts Braylon Moore at center. So now you have
- 21:25Tyree Adams, who the coaching staff loves, they've seen him play.
- 21:27DJ Chester's played a ton of football on this team.
- 21:30Braylan Moore comes in as one of your most experienced
- 21:32guys transfer or returners at the other guard spot. See
- 21:39I originally thought it was going to Bembingo on one side,
- 21:41Chester on the other.
- 21:42Speaker 6: I'd have been good with that.
- 21:43Speaker 3: Have Josh Thompson at right tackle because he's played guard
- 21:46and tackle, but they really really like Weston Davis at
- 21:50right tackle, and that's a guy that was taking the
- 21:53majority of the first team reps during spring. Again, I
- 21:55thought it was going to be Thompson, But let's say
- 21:58it's Weston Davis at right time tackle. Josh Thompson sides
- 22:01in their right guard. So from left to right in
- 22:04this situation, it would be Tyree Adams, dj Chester, Prayland Moore,
- 22:09Josh Thompson, west and Davis, Paul Mabinga kind of becomes
- 22:11a swing guard along with the Cohen eckles, along with
- 22:15the bowboard alone, and then Salomon Thomas Carries, Kerrent Dull
- 22:19earned their spots as they progress through their college career.
- 22:21Speaker 6: But that's kind of the starting ode line right now.
- 22:25Speaker 3: The reason I wanted Josh Thompson had right tackles because
- 22:28west and Davis was a highly recruited guy coming out
- 22:30of high school hasn't played a ton of college football.
- 22:35Now a lot will say, Okay, we have an inexperienced
- 22:38guy at left tackle, you have an inexperienced guy at
- 22:40right tackles. Sometimes that's a recipe for disaster, sure, but
- 22:42sometimes it's not. I just mentioned Will Campbell and I
- 22:45Marie Jones. They both came in. They earned starting spots
- 22:47at the two tackle spots. As freshmen boom. You had
- 22:50your book ND Tackles for the next three years. But
- 22:53how often does that happen? But if this coaching staff
- 22:57and Brad Davis, who I trust them mentally, thinks that
- 22:59it's Weston Davis, keep in mind, even though this would
- 23:02be Davis' first year starting, he's been in the program
- 23:03multiple years now. You can bring into Josh Thompson and
- 23:06if things get harry, you can always move Thompson back
- 23:09out to tackle, put in paumbinga guard. But kind of
- 23:12the lineup you've been seeing is Tyree Adams, d J Chester,
- 23:16Braylan Moore, Josh Thompson, Weston Davis.
- 23:21Speaker 6: That's kind of been the group that we've been seeing.
- 23:22Speaker 3: And again that can flip flop because Chester and Moore
- 23:25can flip flop. Thompson could move out to guard Mabingas
- 23:28Thomas can move from tackle to guard, and Mabinga could
- 23:29slide in their guard. Not only did you do a
- 23:32good job of adding veteran presence with Moore and Thompson,
- 23:36think you did a good job in high school recruiting.
- 23:38I mentioned Solomon Thomas and Carrius Kern.
- 23:40Speaker 6: You also have some depth.
- 23:42Speaker 3: Ory Williams is a guy that they like. Cohen Eckles,
- 23:45we talked about him. I think he'll be the backup center.
- 23:48Solomon Thomas, Carrius Kern, Paul Mbinga bow bort A line.
- 23:52I mean that's six guys I just mentioned that could
- 23:54possibly be rotational pieces on this offensive line. So while
- 23:57there's not a ton of returning production and a ton
- 24:00of returning starting experience, I think there's talent on this
- 24:04offensive line, and if they get the starting rotation right,
- 24:07there's a lot of depth theory as well. There's a
- 24:09lot of versatility. Again because of DJ Chester and Josh Thompson.
- 24:12I think those two guys are the key to this
- 24:14offensive line. So your rotation that'll take shape, that'll form
- 24:19more organically when you get into fall camp, he'll get
- 24:21a clearer picture on that. But whether it's Thompson at
- 24:24guarter tackle, Chester at garter center, Mabinga as a starter
- 24:29or a rotational piece of guard, you have a lot
- 24:32of options, and I think you have a lot of
- 24:33talent on this offensive line. That of course, is the
- 24:36biggest question mark for this team headed into twenty twenty five.
- 24:39You got the running back in Caden Durham, Garrett Nelsmeyer's
- 24:41coming back as his second year in this program as
- 24:44a starter. He looks to be one of the best
- 24:46quarterbacks in college football. And we know about all the
- 24:48weapons you got on the outside at tight end and
- 24:50wide receiver. Your pass catchers are elite. This offense will
- 24:54go as the offensive line goes. We'll see how it
- 24:56plays out as we get closer to fall camp. All right,
- 24:58we're going to take a quick time out. We get back,
- 25:00go to talk a little Lashoe baseball on the other side.
- 25:03That's coming up here on off the bench, offter bench.
- 25:07Speaker 2: Central Plumbing dot org.
- 25:08Speaker 8: Central Plumbing dot Org two two five nine two five
- 25:11eighty five fifty two is the number. Give them a
- 25:14call twenty four seven three sixty five. Game day, weekday, holiday,
- 25:18does not matter. If you have an emergency, they will
- 25:21be there. And not only in Central Greater Baton Rouge area.
- 25:26Now they can help you the Central for sure, but
- 25:27Greater Baton Rouge area. We're talking to you. If you've
- 25:30got an emergency, Central Plumbing will be out there.
- 25:33Speaker 2: They are ready.
- 25:33Speaker 8: You'll see on the homepage of central Plumbing dot org.
- 25:36The fleet is ready to go and ready to help
- 25:39if you want to go tankless. With a tankless water heater,
- 25:42obviously you never run out of hot water, which is
- 25:45just a huge benefit of you got a big family
- 25:47like me. You're getting home late, you got dishes, laundry, showers, whatever.
- 25:50Speaker 2: You never run out.
- 25:51Speaker 8: You don't have to wait, you don't have to try
- 25:53to save that hot water, because again, tankless, never going
- 25:56to run out. Bathroom models all right there on the
- 25:59homepage since'l plumbing out work again two five ninety two,
- 26:01five eighty five fifty two.
- 26:03Speaker 1: This is off the bench.
- 26:24Speaker 6: Mm hm, you were my son, you love.
- 26:35Speaker 7: You didn't know all the ways I love you, so
- 26:41he took a chance.
- 26:45Speaker 6: I love it. Cheering.
- 26:48Speaker 7: Oh, I'm sorry, this is justin timal I know, because didn't.
- 26:57I couldn't even tell you what cheering song. But I
- 27:00can tell what he looked like. I know what he
- 27:01looks like.
- 27:02Speaker 3: Yeah, that's all. That's well, that's acceptable. Okay, Look, we
- 27:06want to talk a little lshue baseball here. I had
- 27:09Doug Thompson on yesterday when I asked him, you know,
- 27:12kind of a broad breakdown of this Beton Rouge regional
- 27:16coming up this weekend. Doug brought up something that I
- 27:18hadn't heard mentioned yet, but since he mentioned it, I
- 27:21have seen it probably two or three times yesterday, and
- 27:23I want to give my thoughts on it because I
- 27:25actually disagree. So Doug was saying that he believes there's
- 27:29a fifty to fifty chance LSU can pitch off, meaning
- 27:32they will not throw Kate Anderson game one, they would
- 27:35save him from maybe game two and then have Anderson
- 27:38Ayenson back to back.
- 27:40Speaker 6: I don't think that will happen.
- 27:43Speaker 3: Here's why, because Jay one really likes to keep his
- 27:46guys in a rhythm. He doesn't like to change days
- 27:49on pitchers. And there was talk about this back in
- 27:53the twenty twenty three regional. If you remember LS she
- 27:57was the host site two lane was the four seed
- 27:59or in state really tough program was the two seat.
- 28:03Everyone questioned, Hey, is Paul Sken's going to Are you
- 28:05going to pitch off to Tulane throw a lesser arm,
- 28:08throw your ace against Oregon State? Jay didn't do that.
- 28:12Now a lot of people criticize that decision for Jay
- 28:15not throwing skeins. The Tigers won two straight against Oregon State,
- 28:18they swept that regional, they moved on ultimately won the
- 28:20national Championship, it didn't matter. So not only do we
- 28:23have a blueprint of it working out for Jay Johnson,
- 28:26but we have a blueprint of what Jay is going
- 28:28to do. Elandra, Do you think there is any sort
- 28:33of possibility LSU pitches off against Little Rock?
- 28:38Speaker 5: History has shown that.
- 28:39Speaker 6: No.
- 28:40Speaker 4: Yeah, but I mean with Jay, you never know, but
- 28:43I'm pretty confident that he'll probably pitch Kate Anderson against
- 28:47Little Rock tomorrow.
- 28:48Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm with you.
- 28:49Speaker 3: And because you and I have talked about this the
- 28:51last couple of weeks, everyone says, Okay, well, you gotta
- 28:53throw Kate Anderson.
- 28:54Speaker 6: He's your ace.
- 28:54Speaker 3: As far as I'm concerned, Kate Anderson and Anthony Jasin
- 28:57are one A and one B. I mean, they're they're
- 28:59they're what what to me? At this point, they've both
- 29:01been that dominant. So do I care if it's Kate
- 29:03Anderson or Anthony Iinson in game two? Nope, I don't.
- 29:06I think they're going to keep the rotation exactly like
- 29:09they have. Also, I've seen the questions of Okay, well
- 29:13it's Dallas Baptist going to pitch off. No, Dallas Baptist
- 29:16is not going to pitch off for two reasons. One,
- 29:19Rhode Island can really hit the ball. I mean they
- 29:21hit I think it's like three eight, three oh nine
- 29:23as a team on the season, like Rhode Island can
- 29:26swing it. And Rhode Island's ace is actually pretty good
- 29:29in his own right. So I think Dallas Baptist's best
- 29:32is going to go up against the ace and Rhode Island.
- 29:34I think it'd be stupid for Dallas Baptists to do
- 29:36anything otherwise. Also, going back to the Lshue factor in
- 29:41all this little Rockets throwing their ace, coach Chris Curry
- 29:46was on with Matt Moscona back on Tuesday and he said,
- 29:50that's the worst kept secret that we are throwing Jackson
- 29:52Wells against LSU. That's our ace, that's our guy. Jackson
- 29:56Wells is not a normal small school arm. Now when
- 29:59you go look at his you'll say, okay, well, he's
- 30:01three and six on the year, he has a five
- 30:02to two four ERA in fifteen games. He does, but
- 30:07you know he's he's he's dealt with a little nagging
- 30:09injury at times this year. But you go look at
- 30:13his strikeout to walk numbers, ninety strikeouts to thirty two walks.
- 30:17Speaker 6: So still pretty solid there. Now.
- 30:19Speaker 3: He's allowing a lot of hits, but only seven home
- 30:23runs given up all year long, so he's still a
- 30:26really solid pitcher. You can go looking, zoh, he has
- 30:28a five point two four ERA. Yeah, I don't. I
- 30:30don't really care about that. His strikeout to walk numbers
- 30:32are really good. He has a high strikeout number and
- 30:35he doesn't give up a lot of big home runs.
- 30:37Speaker 6: He's a good pitcher.
- 30:39Speaker 3: In twenty twenty three, I don't know how many of
- 30:42you remember this, but Paul Skeins finished that twenty twenty
- 30:44three baseball season with the second best ERA in all
- 30:48of college baseball, and it was incredible. It was one
- 30:51point sixty nine. Do you know who was first in
- 30:55twenty twenty three? It was Jackson Wells two years ago,
- 30:59Jackson Wells one point six y five er.
- 31:02Speaker 6: Now, I get it, that was two years ago.
- 31:04Speaker 3: But Jackson Wells has more strikeouts this year than he
- 31:06did that year, and that was in ninety three innings.
- 31:09In twenty twenty three, he's thrown seventy nine innings this year.
- 31:12He has ten more strikeouts than he had in twenty
- 31:14twenty three. So the era is not there, but the
- 31:16strikeout numbers are up. Jackson Wells is not your normal
- 31:20small school, aren't. He can really throw the ball. I
- 31:23don't think there's any question what Jay Johnson is going
- 31:26to do in this region, because again we've seen the
- 31:30blueprint with it with Paul Skens. He threw him against
- 31:32Tulane a Glandrovigion. You never quite know what Jay is
- 31:35going to do. But Jay is also a guy of
- 31:38habit right. He likes to keep his pictures in a rhythm.
- 31:41So I'm with her. Is where it's like, you don't
- 31:43know one hundred percent, but I am pretty confident. I
- 31:46am almost certain that Jay Johnson is not going to
- 31:48switch up this pitching irritation. Because if you throw Kate
- 31:51Anderson and you win, which I expect both of those
- 31:55things to happen, you will play the winner of Dallas
- 31:59Baptist Roade Island. Let's say, let's say everything's chalk and
- 32:03it's Dallas Baptist beat Rode Island.
- 32:05Speaker 6: LSU beats a little rock. The one and two seeds
- 32:07move on.
- 32:10Speaker 3: Your number two starter should be a hell of a
- 32:13lot better than the number two starter at Dallas Baptist
- 32:15because you have a guy in Anthony Jonson, who on
- 32:18the majority of teams in College of Baseball would be
- 32:21the Friday night guy, would be considered the ace of
- 32:24the staff. So I would give advantage Tigers in Game
- 32:27two over Dallas Baptist. And you win that game, you
- 32:31only got to win one more. You're sitting pretty. You
- 32:33can piece that last game together if you want. You
- 32:35can throw Jaden Nute, you can throw Case and Evans,
- 32:38you can throw Connor where you can piece that thing
- 32:40together and get that done. I don't think there's any
- 32:44question about who he's going to throw game one, why
- 32:49he's going to do what he is. But going back
- 32:52to game three, we know it's Kate Anderson game one,
- 32:57we know it's going to be Anthony Ions in game two.
- 33:00We have set up here me elandre J when t
- 33:02Bob wazir him as well and talked about you gotta
- 33:06find maybe a third and fourth arm, not go six
- 33:09seven innings, but a guy that can maybe go four
- 33:12for you can start a game for you. Do you
- 33:14feel confident you can win with because you're going to
- 33:16need that when you get into postseason and you're really
- 33:19going to need it if you make it to O Mahu.
- 33:22They've tinkered with it a little bit since taken Chase
- 33:24Shores out. Cason Evans got a few starts. We saw
- 33:28Jade Nu get a start in the SEC tournament. Connor
- 33:31Ware has gotten some starts in midweek, like they they've
- 33:34they've kind of tinkered with a lot of different guys.
- 33:38Speaker 6: A Landra, who would you throw.
- 33:40Speaker 3: Let's say you win game one and two, you only
- 33:43need one more win to move on, and you use
- 33:47you already use that cow when he's out, you use
- 33:49him out of the bullpen. Who's the game three starter?
- 33:52Like if you had to pick today Anderson Iansen?
- 33:55Speaker 5: Who so like where he used Anderson?
- 33:58Speaker 6: And I am you're in game three, but a two
- 34:01game lead, you just need one win.
- 34:02Speaker 4: I liked in the tournament when we used Newt and
- 34:05then Chase Shores came out, and then if we haven't
- 34:08used case and Evans, we can.
- 34:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:10Speaker 5: I think we can get enough out of.
- 34:11Speaker 4: New Shores to maybe go to Caseon Evans to close
- 34:16it out.
- 34:16Speaker 5: But if you need somebody in the interim, there's plenty
- 34:20of people to go to.
- 34:21Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 34:21Speaker 3: We talked about this YO yesterday with the with the
- 34:23depth of the bullpen, right, I agree. I Jaden Knut
- 34:26might be my first option, and I'm with you about
- 34:30the Newt to Shores combination because I just think Chase
- 34:33Shores right now is a lot better out of the
- 34:34bullpen than he was as a starter. Some people are
- 34:37like that. Remember when Zach Kess was here as a freshmen,
- 34:40he was a dominant closer. You tried to make him
- 34:42a starter the next year. It just didn't work out.
- 34:44Once you moved him back into the bullpen, he was
- 34:47dominant once again. I just think right now Shores is
- 34:49better out of the bullpen than he is as a starter.
- 34:51Jade Nut's proven that he can kind of do both.
- 34:54Cason Evans has proven that he can kind of do both.
- 34:57So you may have found a third and even a
- 35:00fourth starter that again aren't going to go six seven innings,
- 35:04but can go three to four innings for you. In
- 35:06Jaden Nude in case of Evans, you're going to need that.
- 35:09That's going to be big time when you show up
- 35:12in Omaha if you happen to make a domol, which
- 35:15I think this LSU team has a good chance in doing.
- 35:18We've talked all week long about how favor of a
- 35:21draw they have with Dallas, Baptist, Rhode Island, and Little
- 35:25Rock in the regional and then you're paired with the
- 35:27Clemson Regional. So it's Clemson, West Virginia, and Kentucky and Andre,
- 35:33you and I were actually talking about West Virginia the
- 35:34other day, and you know, looking at their overall record,
- 35:37I didn't realize this. Pretty much every time this season
- 35:40West Virginia has played a top thirty RPI team, they've lost.
- 35:44So that record as a hole is really good, but
- 35:47the record against good teams it's not there. So there's
- 35:51a chance because like you and I were talking, oh yeah,
- 35:53if it's not Clemson, like it could be West Virginia,
- 35:56keep and eye on that. I think Clemson might actually
- 35:58be in the driver's seat right now. But if Kentucky
- 36:01gets hot, that's a team that not that I don't
- 36:04want to see.
- 36:05Speaker 6: But like the small ball you to death they bought.
- 36:08Speaker 3: They're good at advancing runners, at manufacturing runs, and Nick
- 36:11Manngeon is a really good baseball coach. Watch out for
- 36:14the Kentucky Wildcats because I was kind of looking at
- 36:16this as a as a two headed race between Clemson
- 36:19and West Virginia. But when you go look at West
- 36:21Virginia against top thirty RPI teams. It's not great when
- 36:24they have a good record overall and in the Big twelve,
- 36:27but when they play those elite programs, they've come up
- 36:30just a little bit short. That's something to keep an
- 36:33eye on. But going back to the original dolt, I
- 36:35don't think Jay Johnson pitches off. I think it's anderson
- 36:39ianson to be determined in game three and game four
- 36:42if necessary. We'll get to that when we get there.
- 36:45We're going to take a quick time out. We get back,
- 36:47we're wrapping up our number one. Then an hour number two.
- 36:51Jacob Pastor in Destin for SEC spring meetings. We're gonna
- 36:54hear from coach Kim Malkey and coach of Brian Kelly,
- 36:57as he interviewed both of them yesterday. That's coming up
- 36:59in the eight o'clock out. When we get back, we're
- 37:00closing out our number one here on off the bench.
- 37:03Speaker 1: Off the bench.
- 37:04Speaker 8: Ktoz Blinds dot Com is the website.
- 37:07Speaker 6: It's Safer Shoo k.
- 37:10Speaker 8: To z Interiors and Outdoor Living been doon it since
- 37:13two thousand and four. Brandon Barton and the team gonna
- 37:16come out to your space, your home, your business and
- 37:19learn your space, going to know it better than you
- 37:21probably in like five or ten minutes. That's what they've
- 37:23done for me. They did it for Tea, They're gonna
- 37:25probably do it for Flynn. I'll do it for you
- 37:27as well. It's not just because we talk about them
- 37:29every day. That's just who they are and that is
- 37:31what they get done every single day. Now into your
- 37:35and outdoor living sometimes it's both. And that's what I
- 37:39have gotten from them. The shade is incredible. I told
- 37:42y'all the other day. My dad saw it. He's like,
- 37:44wait a minute, I want one of those. Brandon driving
- 37:47to Dallas stops off in Shreveport puts one up for
- 37:50my dad.
- 37:50Speaker 2: That's just who they are.
- 37:51Speaker 8: That is what you're going to get, that level of
- 37:54customer service.
- 37:54Speaker 2: Ktoz Blinds dot Com.
- 37:57Speaker 1: Welcome back to Off the Bench.
- 38:15Speaker 7: From you Haven't the nine.
- 38:20Speaker 1: Believe Love first night can't explain? Well, you got you.
- 38:31I can do it.
- 38:36Speaker 6: All right.
- 38:36Speaker 3: Welcome back in final segment, hour number one. Here on
- 38:39a Thursday edition of Off the Bench, Taylor Shoppy with
- 38:44you sitting in for Jacob Ester one more day.
- 38:46Speaker 6: Our guy will be back tomorrow. He has been at
- 38:48SEC spring.
- 38:49Speaker 3: Meetings all week long, and he actually sent us back
- 38:53a couple of l s U interviews. Yesterday was l
- 38:55s U day over there at SEC spring meetings. So
- 38:58we're gonna hear from coach Kim Mulky at eight am.
- 39:01This is an interview that Jake did with her yesterday,
- 39:03and then at eight thirty we're going to here from
- 39:05LSU head coach Brian Kelly.
- 39:07Speaker 6: Look, there has been a ton of debate.
- 39:09Speaker 3: I mean, you've heard the Greg Sinki sound bites at
- 39:11nauseum at this point about what he thinks about the
- 39:13sixteen team playoff, whether or not the SEC should even
- 39:16be in the NCAA. Why three three loss teams got
- 39:20left out even though two of them be Georgia broke
- 39:22that down yesterday. How about don't lose to crappy teams.
- 39:24That's a good way to uh not get left out
- 39:27of the college football playoff. But this segment I got
- 39:31T Bob Abear was actually in the building yesterday, ran
- 39:35into him as I was leaving, So it's really funny.
- 39:38Right after the show, now Landra is carrying these what
- 39:41looked to be really heavy packages up to T Bob's office.
- 39:45So they didn't go in.
- 39:46Speaker 5: They were heavy.
- 39:47Speaker 6: They looked at heavy. I mean the boxes were huge,
- 39:49and like there was no gift to me either.
- 39:51Speaker 3: There was no gift to two boxes in my hand,
- 39:55my keys, So did you walk up the stairs with them?
- 39:57Speaker 4: So I took the elevator, okay, but I had those
- 40:00two big old boxes that were actually pretty heavy in
- 40:02my arms. And then I had a bottle of champagne
- 40:05that I was trying really hard not to break because
- 40:07Katie Jake's wife got T Bob this amazing bottle of
- 40:11champagne that uh somebody hand painted like a bunch of
- 40:15OTB stuff and put all of us on the bottle.
- 40:18So I was trying really hard not to break that,
- 40:22and nobody was like, hey, need some help. So I'm
- 40:27just like carrying all this stuff in my hands, struggling.
- 40:31Speaker 6: Yeah, that's on me. I did I did see. I
- 40:33did see right before you got in the room that
- 40:35that's that's on me.
- 40:36Speaker 3: It's fine because my original thought was, oh, she carried
- 40:38it this far, she'd probably make it ten feet, but
- 40:40you actually you actually brought the bottle and showed me
- 40:44the cries.
- 40:45Speaker 5: T Bob left all his gifts out, watched.
- 40:47Speaker 6: T Bob doesn't forget anything.
- 40:49Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't know how.
- 40:51Speaker 4: He doesn't work here anymore, and I'm still like grabbing
- 40:53stuff for him that he left behind, Like at Whiskey
- 40:57and Wine. I'd always like put all his stuff on
- 40:59his chair so he wouldn't forget it.
- 41:01Speaker 3: So I was telling Victoria when I brought this home, Well,
- 41:03we'll get into this in just a second of what
- 41:05this is. But uh, I was telling her. She's like, oh,
- 41:08you saw Tea Up today? Because I was like, yeah,
- 41:09Tebub gave me this. She's like, oh, you know, it's
- 41:11it's it's cool. He comes around every once in a while.
- 41:13I was like, Victoria, Teabup's last day was two weeks ago.
- 41:16I think I've seen him every day at work, but
- 41:17like two I's been here every single day.
- 41:20Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm like every day pretty much.
- 41:25Speaker 3: So went to Chicago last week, but pretty much the
- 41:28beginning of that week, like Monday Tuesday, he was here.
- 41:30But then when he was in Chicago, I was also
- 41:32on vacation. What to see him Anyways, Then he got
- 41:35back in telling on the weekend you all saw him Sunday,
- 41:38I see him yesterday.
- 41:39Speaker 6: Like we've pretty much seen Tea Bob every single day.
- 41:42Speaker 2: Yea, even though that like.
- 41:44Speaker 4: We had brunch or whatever. Yeah, I've seen him. We
- 41:48were like being so dramatic like, oh, this is your
- 41:51last day, but we've seen.
- 41:52Speaker 5: Him like every day.
- 41:52Speaker 3: Yeah, like like literally every single day. Okay, we'll speaking
- 41:56of T Bob a couple of weeks ago. Okay, so
- 41:58his last week was too. His last day was two
- 42:00Fridays ago. That's Sunday night. So leading up to his
- 42:03last week, you know, he's cleaning out all of his
- 42:06stuff and he said, hey, what size shirt do you wear?
- 42:10Can you wear a medium or is that too small?
- 42:12And I said, well, it depends on the shirt and
- 42:14the brand. I'm usually somewhere between a medium and a large.
- 42:16And he said, okay, cool. Caitlin got me a Queen
- 42:21of Sparkle shirt forever ago, but for some reason, she
- 42:24got it in a medium. I've never been able to
- 42:26wear it. Tag still on it and I said, oh, okay,
- 42:29nice thinking. And I'm never going to see this because
- 42:32it's tea bop. Well that was two Sundays ago. Yesterday,
- 42:37I catch him walking, you know, we're talking a little bit.
- 42:39He goes, oh, don't leave.
- 42:39Speaker 6: Just shit.
- 42:40Speaker 3: He goes, I got something for you. So I am
- 42:42now officially the owner of a Queen of Sparkle shirt.
- 42:47It's gaudy, it's not really my vibe, but I'll tell
- 42:50you what.
- 42:50Speaker 6: I love it. Like you see Queen of Sparkles.
- 42:52Speaker 3: Everybody knows her because she designs all the flashy outfits
- 42:55for Kim Maulki went on the website yesterday because I'm like, Okay,
- 43:01forgive me for thinking this. I see the name Queen
- 43:03of Sparkles. I'm like, he don't make men's clothes. This
- 43:06is actually the only men's shirt go to the go
- 43:09to the shot Jordan. It's actually the only men's shirt
- 43:12they they make. It's got the UH, it's got the
- 43:17queen logo. Looks like a plate in card.
- 43:19Speaker 5: What's on the shirt in the UH?
- 43:20Speaker 3: So it's it's called it's called the second I'll put
- 43:23it on when we go to break So it's it's
- 43:25called the Second Line shirt. Just New Orleans themed. I mean,
- 43:28it's got men and women in like cocktail attire. It
- 43:30has French quarter on the back. It's a second Line
- 43:33like it's it's a pretty cool shirt. Like obviously I
- 43:35don't own anything like this. It's got sparkles across the front. Like,
- 43:39this is a very t bop shirt. But I think
- 43:41I'm gonnare this? I think we're gonna put it on
- 43:43a little bit later.
- 43:44Speaker 4: Uh well, her husband wears like really he wears him
- 43:49and Jamie is her name, Like they wear very similar.
- 43:55Speaker 5: Yeah, I think so. So I judged like a Battle
- 43:58of the Bands with her one time, and his name's Hunter.
- 44:01Speaker 4: He was there too, and my neighbors are friends with him,
- 44:04like they've been friends since college or whatever.
- 44:06Speaker 5: But yeah, he has a very They both have very
- 44:12how do I say it?
- 44:13Speaker 4: Like their style is lamboyant, flamboyant, I guess is the
- 44:17I mean it makes.
- 44:18Speaker 3: Sense if you're married to the Queen of Sparkles, you
- 44:19gotta be bring it.
- 44:21Speaker 5: Yeah, you got to bring it if you're married to
- 44:22the Queen of Sparkles.
- 44:23Speaker 6: But yeah, So it's funny.
- 44:25Speaker 3: When Tima first brought me this, I was like, no, Wing,
- 44:27you're giving me your fruit shirt because a bunch of colors.
- 44:31I was like, TV, you're not You're not getting rid
- 44:32of your fruit shirt. He's like, no, this is the
- 44:34Queen of Sparkle shirt.
- 44:35Speaker 6: I'll tell you. But I was like, I forgot because
- 44:36I was like two weeks ago. But uh, it's pretty
- 44:39cool and it does fit.
- 44:40Speaker 3: I had to try it on when I got it because,
- 44:43like again, sometimes I'm a medium, Like this shirt, here's
- 44:45a large. This shirt here fits me better than this
- 44:48like it's it's weird. I'm a tweener. Like if they
- 44:50ever made an extra medium, that's me because like this
- 44:54medium shirt is looser on me than this large shirt.
- 44:57Speaker 6: It's like, I don't know, it's weird.
- 45:00Speaker 7: I'd rather be extra medium than medium. You never want
- 45:02to be the sho No no, no, no no, I'm
- 45:04not the small medium. I'm the extra medium, the medium
- 45:06to the law.
- 45:07Speaker 3: It really depicts, can't beat a sh medium guy. No,
- 45:10but uh yeah, shout out t bop, shout out. Queen
- 45:13of Sparkles. Got me a I mean a Queen of
- 45:15Sparkle shirt. We're gonna try it on, you know, be
- 45:19the first in my wardrobe. This will this will definitely
- 45:22be uh something that I wear from time to time.
- 45:26Speaker 2: Now Friday, I'm tell me, hey, Friday shirt.
- 45:29Speaker 6: First women's basketball game next year. This is getting broken out.
- 45:32Speaker 7: You got to find a way to get a pictrol
- 45:33of malkey by both of y'all. Whatever outfice she got
- 45:36on the Queen Sparkles.
- 45:37Speaker 6: Got the Queen of Sparkles shirt.
- 45:39Speaker 3: I'm steadily turning into t Bob told myself I would
- 45:41never do that, but now I'm going to be wearing
- 45:43flashy shirts as well.
- 45:45Speaker 6: Okay, look that was kind of a fun Hour number one.
- 45:48Speaker 3: There, we got into Jordan's car Key Caper story, got
- 45:51a little Queen of Sparkles, did some Loshue baseball, did
- 45:53Someameloshoe football.
- 45:54Speaker 6: Coming up here an hour number two.
- 45:56Speaker 3: We're gonna hear from Kim Malkey, from Brian Kelly, and
- 45:58we're gonna talk a little New Orleans again. These interviews
