Transcript
- 0:04Speaker 1: It's a podcast called twenty five wists stocking and they
- 0:09Speaker 1: got war a whist So.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Yeah, it's too bad, But what did you expect?
- 0:13Speaker 1: It's a podcast called twenty five Whistles, twenty wine, what's up?
- 0:20Speaker 1: And condolenceys to Eddie, Sorry buddy and my bet.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Yeah, well not only me, man. I told my son
- 0:26Speaker 3: I'd give him fifty dollars if we won.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Oh so now you're gonna make your son the loser
- 0:30Speaker 1: because the Timberwolves.
- 0:31Speaker 3: Well he was like, dang, dad, we lost.
- 0:34Speaker 1: I did think that they would put up more of
- 0:36Speaker 1: a fight last night.
- 0:37Speaker 3: It felt like they quit. Yeah, I mean when you're
- 0:39Speaker 3: down thirty points of the half, but I feel like
- 0:41Speaker 3: they quit before that, Like I feel like they quit clawing.
- 0:44Speaker 1: They got to within like fifteen or so in the
- 0:46Speaker 1: fourth quarter, and then I didn't.
- 0:49Speaker 3: It just was never a game. My theory is when
- 0:51Speaker 3: it's that like bad, you know, it's like, well, if
- 0:53Speaker 3: they scored thirty on you the first half, you can
- 0:56Speaker 3: do that to them the second half. But it doesn't
- 0:58Speaker 3: really work that way. You need stops, good logic when
- 1:02Speaker 3: you're not stopping them, dude, it never got What did
- 1:05Speaker 3: they end at? Twenty two? Twenty two. What was the
- 1:09Speaker 3: spread at the very end of the game.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Oh, I don't know, I know it's four and a half.
- 1:12Speaker 1: When it started, it was a tighter game when they
- 1:13Speaker 1: put the bench in. It was Minnesota minus four and
- 1:16Speaker 1: a half. I saw when it started and they ended
- 1:18Speaker 1: up losing by Yeah. Yeah, so sorry you lost your bet.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Twenty one yeah one, twenty four one three.
- 1:26Speaker 1: I did bet Dallas to win the NBA Championship during
- 1:33Speaker 1: this series. It was no crazy awesome, but I thought Dallas,
- 1:36Speaker 1: I'll be I think I was the only who thought
- 1:37Speaker 1: Dllas could win the series. Yeah yeah, but mostly I
- 1:40Speaker 1: just wanted to go opposite of you guys more than
- 1:42Speaker 1: what I knew. It's not very nice kind of my style. Yeah,
- 1:45Speaker 1: but it's gonna be a fun series. Kevin is a
- 1:47Speaker 1: big Boston Celtics fan. Congratulation, He'll be speaking from a
- 1:51Speaker 1: place of bias, sure, and we will purposefully probably root
- 1:54Speaker 1: for Dallas just because he's doing for Boston, but just
- 1:57Speaker 1: not but we don't want you to lose. We just
- 2:01Speaker 1: don't want to hear it. Why because our teams don't win.
- 2:05Speaker 1: I know, but I know I'm not saying it's healthy.
- 2:07Speaker 1: I know, and I'll be eighteen percent happy for you
- 2:10Speaker 1: if they went out, like genuinely like, congrats to Kevin,
- 2:13Speaker 1: but a little bit the miserable part of me wants
- 2:16Speaker 1: Dallas to win just so everybody else can stay miserable.
- 2:18Speaker 3: Well, and part of me too is I've never rooted
- 2:20Speaker 3: for the Celtics ever in my life.
- 2:22Speaker 2: You're keeps the Spurs.
- 2:23Speaker 3: I'm a Spurs fan. Yeah, but but i mean, even
- 2:25Speaker 3: like you have to win that long time ago. Sure
- 2:27Speaker 3: we had our moments there, big moment, but like, never
- 2:30Speaker 3: have I ever rooted for the Celtics. So who are
- 2:32Speaker 3: you rooting for? Dallas or Boston? Said that?
- 2:35Speaker 1: Even with Kevin, who's a dear friend and co worker,
- 2:38Speaker 1: who are you rooting for?
- 2:39Speaker 3: I mean, I'm a Cowboys fan, man, that doesn't I'm
- 2:42Speaker 3: a Cowboys fan. The neighbors.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Yeah, but don't you kind of hate nowas I like
- 2:47Speaker 2: the Mavericks a little bit, San Antonio Mavericks.
- 2:50Speaker 1: It's a thing I've never liked Dallas Mavericks. I never
- 2:54Speaker 1: liked the Mavericks.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Here a both sides of your mouth.
- 2:58Speaker 1: So is it Alice's cousin or is it a team
- 3:02Speaker 1: you hate because it's the basketball rivals.
- 3:04Speaker 3: It's definitely a basketball rival. I mean, I've just never
- 3:06Speaker 3: I've always been a Spurs fan from the very beginning,
- 3:08Speaker 3: so I've never once thought of, you know, the Mavericks
- 3:11Speaker 3: as a team I root for.
- 3:13Speaker 1: But are they the real rival of Spurs. I feel
- 3:14Speaker 1: like they are. I feel like you don't like them because.
- 3:16Speaker 3: They're close to They're both they're both in the West
- 3:17Speaker 3: and natural rival and even like when the Spurs were
- 3:20Speaker 3: on top, you know MAVs where it is like Dirk
- 3:22Speaker 3: Dirk time and Steve nashtime, like, yeah, that was rivalry
- 3:25Speaker 3: for sure, and then it became the Lakers.
- 3:27Speaker 1: But you hate the Mavericks. I feel like you just
- 3:31Speaker 1: don't like him a little bit.
- 3:32Speaker 3: And I'm telling you now, dude, I'm starting to hate Luca.
- 3:34Speaker 3: I'm starting to hate yeah so much.
- 3:36Speaker 1: But I hate him so much, I'm trying to love
- 3:38Speaker 1: him again. Like when he yelled f you to the fan,
- 3:40Speaker 1: like who's crying now?
- 3:41Speaker 3: F you?
- 3:41Speaker 1: I'm like, that's awesome. I'm glad there's somebody that does that.
- 3:44Speaker 3: Because he doesn't care, Yes, he does not care.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Him and Kyrie are going to get an ear full
- 3:50Speaker 2: at the garden.
- 3:51Speaker 1: He has come all the way back around on me,
- 3:53Speaker 1: like Luca, he's fun. He's you talked to like this,
- 3:57Speaker 1: that's kind of making us on it.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Yeah, Bud, He's like, uh, you know, he does all
- 4:05Speaker 1: these crazy shots. He can, you know, get a bucket
- 4:07Speaker 1: from anywhere, and you like him, and then he just
- 4:09Speaker 1: whinds and winds and he don't like him, and then
- 4:11Speaker 1: he just stays true. He whinds so much, then yells
- 4:13Speaker 1: at people, and then you like, I like him again,
- 4:15Speaker 1: and then he just makes every shot, Like dude, the
- 4:18Speaker 1: beginning of.
- 4:18Speaker 3: This game he didn't miss.
- 4:20Speaker 2: He's unbelievable.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Game five he didn't miss.
- 4:22Speaker 3: Yeah, no, he didn't. He's unbelievable. And they've shown they
- 4:24Speaker 3: can close games.
- 4:25Speaker 1: But also just this game five alone, anything he put
- 4:29Speaker 1: above his head that was a ball winning the hole,
- 4:30Speaker 1: anything that first quarter.
- 4:32Speaker 2: As soon as the tee Wolves thought they were coming
- 4:34Speaker 2: back into it, he's like, no, not today.
- 4:35Speaker 3: I didn't have twenty in the first quarter.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Yeah, who are you rooting for? Time?
- 4:42Speaker 1: Eddy?
- 4:42Speaker 2: You've never rooted for the Celtics. You hate the Mavericks.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Now is your chance to root for the Celtics. This
- 4:49Speaker 2: is your shot.
- 4:50Speaker 3: I just like, so this is root, right, this is
- 4:51Speaker 3: who am I rooting for? Who is going to win?
- 4:54Speaker 3: Who do you want?
- 4:54Speaker 2: Do you want to win?
- 4:57Speaker 3: I mean, you know, no, just the team answer? Were
- 4:59Speaker 3: don't We're not doing one of these. Well, but because
- 5:03Speaker 3: I don't care about either of these teams.
- 5:04Speaker 1: I'm picking Dallas. So mean, I know I bet on them.
- 5:09Speaker 4: I bet Kevin.
- 5:11Speaker 3: He's wearing his Boston He's got the four leaf clover
- 5:13Speaker 3: right now? Is that a three leaf?
- 5:15Speaker 1: That's okay. Here's the thing about Kevin, and I love
- 5:17Speaker 1: Kevin as a person, but he has like teams from
- 5:19Speaker 1: all over the world. He has like one city, he
- 5:22Speaker 1: has like a soccer team. He's like, I'm a big
- 5:24Speaker 1: Milan fan. And then he's got a college football team,
- 5:28Speaker 1: a big Tennessee fan, a big big Balls fan. He's
- 5:32Speaker 1: got so he just got teams. Sure, he goes to California,
- 5:35Speaker 1: He's like, that's my home. But he is consistent with
- 5:37Speaker 1: the New England, with the Boston teams.
- 5:39Speaker 3: I hear you. Are you a Bruins fan.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Yeah, they're a fourth out of the Boston team. Yes,
- 5:46Speaker 2: they're definitely fourth. I'm not even more of a Preds fan.
- 5:48Speaker 1: You do you live in Boston?
- 5:51Speaker 5: No?
- 5:51Speaker 2: How did you become up too cold there.
- 5:53Speaker 1: How did you become an overall city of because I'm
- 5:55Speaker 1: a massive Cubs fan, but I'm not a Bears fan.
- 5:58Speaker 3: I'm not a Bulls fan. It's not a Chicago thing.
- 6:01Speaker 1: It was specifically that one team was the So how
- 6:03Speaker 1: did you become a whole city of Boston fan?
- 6:05Speaker 3: If you're not from there.
- 6:06Speaker 2: My dad is from Rhode Island.
- 6:09Speaker 3: He can pass it on to you.
- 6:09Speaker 2: So he grew up loving all these teams, and then
- 6:13Speaker 2: that makes sense. Pass it on to me.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Anything would have been acceptable. But that is the most
- 6:17Speaker 1: acceptable answer. If it was passed down.
- 6:19Speaker 2: My first Patriots Jersey, we believe you.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Okay, that makes sense, and that is actually the realist answer,
- 6:26Speaker 1: if you'd have just been there both, Like I was
- 6:28Speaker 1: a Patriots fan there winning, so I picked Boston the
- 6:29Speaker 1: Celtics as well. But if your dad, that's awesome, and
- 6:32Speaker 1: I hope you still lose.
- 6:34Speaker 3: But and that's all they got up there, Rhode Island.
- 6:36Speaker 3: That you got Boston.
- 6:37Speaker 2: What do you mean by that?
- 6:38Speaker 3: I mean that's who you pick if you live in
- 6:40Speaker 3: Rhode Island.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Well, New England the Patriots are, Yeah, they try to
- 6:43Speaker 1: make them the whole New England yeah, version colony.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, like Maine, Vermont, all that.
- 6:49Speaker 3: Yeah, because if that's close to New York too, some
- 6:52Speaker 3: are New York.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:52Speaker 2: I was gonna say Summer Yankees fans too.
- 6:55Speaker 3: But you're a Red Sox fan.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Oh oh a huge red that's number one team.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Oh really?
- 6:59Speaker 1: Over the Celtics, over the Self, over the Patriots.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Over the Patriots. Wow, Okay, it goes Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, bruin.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Remember this.
- 7:05Speaker 1: I thought it would be Patriots for him first, honestly too. Okay,
- 7:08Speaker 1: here's the deal. I would like to see Luca win
- 7:12Speaker 1: a title more than I would like to see any
- 7:15Speaker 1: of the Jays win it, because Luca, if he doesn't
- 7:20Speaker 1: win a title, he will not get the respect, the
- 7:23Speaker 1: all time player respect that he deserves. But he's so
- 7:25Speaker 1: young still, but that's great until you're not young anymore.
- 7:28Speaker 1: He still have won a title, so let's get one
- 7:30Speaker 1: out of the way. It's like Yiannis.
- 7:31Speaker 3: Will he ever one of the title?
- 7:32Speaker 1: Probably not, but he will always be one of the
- 7:34Speaker 1: greats because he was a great and he won a title.
- 7:38Speaker 1: And I feel like Boston, I get there. The three
- 7:43Speaker 1: J's are going to be there for a while.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Yeah, but even there. I mean they're older than Luca now,
- 7:47Speaker 2: and they say they've had their shot, know whether what
- 7:49Speaker 2: a year or two old or whatever it is, they've
- 7:51Speaker 2: had their shot. But all of a sudden, it feels
- 7:52Speaker 2: like all the pressures on them last year or too
- 7:54Speaker 2: because they've been there, they've done it, and it's like
- 7:56Speaker 2: one you're actually gonna get it done.
- 7:58Speaker 3: Ed Who what do you mean, Jason, Jason?
- 8:01Speaker 1: What do you think the Jays are? When I'm saying that,
- 8:02Speaker 1: you tell me context?
- 8:04Speaker 3: Jason Tatum? Okay, Jalen Brown? Who's the third ja? What's
- 8:10Speaker 3: the bald dude's name? How about Jason White?
- 8:13Speaker 2: How about Derek?
- 8:14Speaker 3: Oh? Derek? Why he's not? Or the last name? Yes?
- 8:22Speaker 3: Oh please stop? George Ingas?
- 8:26Speaker 2: Oh out?
- 8:27Speaker 4: No?
- 8:27Speaker 3: Not al Jeordford, Drew Holiday, got that, that's Drew? Yes, Okay,
- 8:35Speaker 3: they're the Jays.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Cool.
- 8:36Speaker 3: I'm gonna start saying that. Man, does ABO call him that?
- 8:39Speaker 2: I mean they called Tatum and Brown the Jays? Yet?
- 8:41Speaker 3: Oh? I put Drew?
- 8:43Speaker 2: I mean year there, he's unbelievable.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Okay, and I need to answer. We're moving off to
- 8:48Speaker 3: just let's just go Celtics. Nice Celtics.
- 8:51Speaker 2: A boy, I got do gear for you if you want.
- 8:53Speaker 4: Yeah, I got a shirt.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Wow. Personally, I feel like that's that's better for me,
- 9:00Speaker 1: betting when he picks the Celtics.
- 9:02Speaker 3: Right, because every time I pick your team, we lose. Right, Yeah,
- 9:05Speaker 3: so the Celtics, I think, yeah, yeah, exactly exactly. But
- 9:10Speaker 3: you know what you're talking about, Like he's come around
- 9:12Speaker 3: on me. Who's kind of coming around a little bit?
- 9:14Speaker 2: Is uh?
- 9:15Speaker 3: Is Kyrie? Like he's from one of the most I
- 9:18Speaker 3: don't know, I would say hated, but a lot of
- 9:20Speaker 3: people didn't.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Controversial, controversial, yes, but do you know why he's coming around.
- 9:24Speaker 1: He's just not saying anything, but he is.
- 9:26Speaker 3: Saying and when he talks, it's very nice and it's
- 9:28Speaker 3: very like, no, it's not me and Luca, it's everyone else,
- 9:30Speaker 3: and fair enough.
- 9:31Speaker 1: He does give.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Very generically nice press conferences.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Yeah, but when you're used to him saying controversial things
- 9:38Speaker 1: or doing things like stomping on the yes leprechaun.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Oh intent, since he did that, by the way.
- 9:45Speaker 1: And really doing he's not really making it about himself.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Is that the curse of the Leprechaun?
- 9:50Speaker 2: Yeah, you can't stomp on the leprechaun?
- 9:54Speaker 3: Well, did you like, hye, when to play for you guys.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I've always liked and Duke dated. I just
- 10:00Speaker 2: thought he's phenomenal. But he just for years puts his
- 10:04Speaker 2: own mouth in his foot, and you're just like, dude,
- 10:06Speaker 2: just shit, that's a weird way.
- 10:07Speaker 3: To say it.
- 10:07Speaker 1: His own foot in his mouth probably.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Would Yeah, the long reach, what are the odds.
- 10:12Speaker 1: We know the odds.
- 10:15Speaker 3: I can pull him up right now.
- 10:16Speaker 1: So here we go. Game one.
- 10:17Speaker 3: Boston is a six and a half point favorite. Dude,
- 10:20Speaker 3: it's in Boston. I don't know if I can bet anymore.
- 10:21Speaker 3: I feel like I don't know anything in the NBA anymore. Nothing.
- 10:25Speaker 3: I've lost so much money betting on NBA the last month.
- 10:28Speaker 3: I just I don't know what to do anymore.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Well, the Tea Wolves just kind of threw everything off
- 10:31Speaker 2: because you're like to have all the momentum. They beat
- 10:33Speaker 2: the Nuggets.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Here we go, and everybody was like, te Wolves are
- 10:36Speaker 1: easily gonna win this. That's the only reason I picked Oallas. Yeah,
- 10:38Speaker 1: because not because I really I didn't know both those
- 10:41Speaker 1: teams were playing well. But it's usually in the NFL,
- 10:45Speaker 1: especially when you know if somebody's gonna for sure beat
- 10:47Speaker 1: somebody that they sneak up and get you a lot
- 10:49Speaker 1: of the times.
- 10:50Speaker 3: Well, and then the idea too, like gosh, there's such
- 10:52Speaker 3: a long break before the final start, like the NBA
- 10:55Speaker 3: doesn't want that. We're gonna go at least six games.
- 10:59Speaker 1: So the Celtics are at minus two ten, so pretty
- 11:02Speaker 1: good fit for the series. So if you bet twenty bucks,
- 11:05Speaker 1: you make thirty.
- 11:06Speaker 3: Dude, Dallas is the best.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Then no, don't you can't change no, because no, no, no,
- 11:10Speaker 1: I'm not you can't. I'm not rooting for but you
- 11:13Speaker 1: can't run for the and go well, but I knew Dallas.
- 11:16Speaker 1: I was just rooting for Boston.
- 11:17Speaker 3: That's the cheater. Honestly, I do not care about these
- 11:20Speaker 3: two teams. I do not care about them.
- 11:21Speaker 2: But can we set it now where Eddie cannot for
- 11:24Speaker 2: the next couple of weeks he can't say like, oh yeah,
- 11:26Speaker 2: it's still one last.
- 11:28Speaker 3: It was a team that you think will win. I
- 11:30Speaker 3: think that the Mavericks will sneak you win if they can.
- 11:34Speaker 1: He just changed and he did it. If he said
- 11:36Speaker 1: I think they will, they can't pay if because.
- 11:39Speaker 3: Then you can come back and go. But I'm not
- 11:40Speaker 3: rooting for him. I'm rooting for the second. Let's go sell.
- 11:45Speaker 1: You're doing both pock the.
- 11:46Speaker 3: Cop baby, pop the cord.
- 11:49Speaker 1: And picked both teams. And this is so annoying.
- 11:53Speaker 3: Okay, let's go and do the tittle tattle. Speaking of Eddie.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Over here fallowing his injury last week, what's the worst
- 12:08Speaker 2: injury you've had while playing a sport?
- 12:10Speaker 1: The most painful was probably a broke a couple of
- 12:13Speaker 1: broken rib one broken rib, one crack rib, just because
- 12:17Speaker 1: and it was kind of like your foot where you
- 12:18Speaker 1: could do nothing about it. Nothing with a rib, you
- 12:21Speaker 1: can do nothing about it, and it just it wou
- 12:23Speaker 1: even hurt to breathe.
- 12:24Speaker 3: Dude, you or sneeze. I'm sure I don't. I don't
- 12:27Speaker 3: have my journal. Oh yeah, you remember that because you're like,
- 12:30Speaker 3: got you? Oh god, I'm sure. I'm sure.
- 12:33Speaker 1: I broke a rib, cracked a rib playing high school football.
- 12:36Speaker 1: That's probably the most painful because even if you weren't
- 12:39Speaker 1: doing anything, it's still hurts just breathing.
- 12:42Speaker 3: That sucked.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Broken a couple of fingers, of course, that is annoying
- 12:46Speaker 1: and it hurts. I mean, messing out my shoulder, Tama Rotta, that.
- 12:49Speaker 3: Was pretty bad recently.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Yeah, because I would like wake.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Up from sleep with it going like hurting.
- 12:57Speaker 1: That's pretty good, thank you, But I would go broken rib.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Do you have any other bad injuries other than my foot?
- 13:02Speaker 3: This is definitely my worst. But I had a concussion
- 13:05Speaker 3: in high school football. We were scrimmaging and for some
- 13:09Speaker 3: reason they're like, hey, you played tight end. I'm like okay,
- 13:11Speaker 3: And so I was playing tight end. I was running
- 13:13Speaker 3: right across the middle and there was a big linebacker
- 13:15Speaker 3: I remember his name, Matt, big dude, huge guy. Just
- 13:19Speaker 3: you don't have to keep telling us how big he is.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Due he was giant. You would believe it.
- 13:23Speaker 1: He killed three people the practice before.
- 13:26Speaker 3: I was too busy focusing on my route that I
- 13:28Speaker 3: didn't see Matt ran right into him to her. He
- 13:31Speaker 3: didn't even know he was ready for me. But how
- 13:33Speaker 3: did you know you had a concussion? Because I saw
- 13:35Speaker 3: white and then I don't remember what happened, and then
- 13:38Speaker 3: they were all around me.
- 13:38Speaker 1: But were you diagnosed with a concussion?
- 13:40Speaker 3: Nah, you just know.
- 13:41Speaker 1: So you just got your bell run. Yeah, I got
- 13:43Speaker 1: my bell run a couple times.
- 13:44Speaker 3: But we didn't go get checked for concussions. No, No,
- 13:46Speaker 3: of course not. But you knew what it was now
- 13:48Speaker 3: you kind of know exactly what it was. I didn't.
- 13:50Speaker 3: I mean, I remember I dropped past, got crushed.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Matt wasn't big line, he probably wasn't even bit It
- 13:58Speaker 1: got me an hospital and I remember just seeing the
- 14:01Speaker 1: yard marker.
- 14:03Speaker 3: There were three of them. That's a concussion, was it though?
- 14:07Speaker 3: Because don't they say they there? It wasn't diagnosed. No,
- 14:11Speaker 3: they weren't trust me. They weren't anyone back then. Yours
- 14:13Speaker 3: could have been a concussion. I think I just got
- 14:15Speaker 3: a bell wrong. But it was tough, and I was.
- 14:17Speaker 3: They love to say that, right, like, oh, I just
- 14:19Speaker 3: got the wind to kick that out on them.
- 14:20Speaker 1: You're good, hey, I don't want them to retro retroactively
- 14:22Speaker 1: take me out of the game and take my stats
- 14:23Speaker 1: away of missing that ball.
- 14:24Speaker 2: You can't, Kevin, You Yeah, concussions as well. Actually I
- 14:27Speaker 2: had quite a few, but mine the two diagnosed yes, yes, okay,
- 14:31Speaker 2: six diagnosed he's younger, yes, And two or three of
- 14:34Speaker 2: them I played, got the concussion and then played like
- 14:37Speaker 2: another player to watching them film and don't remember being
- 14:40Speaker 2: in there at all. And I would be on the
- 14:41Speaker 2: sideline and they'd be like, Kevin, you're going in and
- 14:44Speaker 2: I would just be like, where am I right now?
- 14:46Speaker 2: Those are the worst ones. They let you still play No,
- 14:48Speaker 2: then they play that's who we need to go after that,
- 14:52Speaker 2: And that was scary because you're just like you're lost
- 14:54Speaker 2: and you're like where am I? Who am I? What
- 14:56Speaker 2: am I even doing here? Kind of thing?
- 14:57Speaker 3: And I said that every morning before work. Who am I?
- 15:00Speaker 3: What am I even doing?
- 15:01Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 15:01Speaker 3: I'm totally fine. And you were tight end Yeah yeah man,
- 15:04Speaker 3: tough physicians.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I think.
- 15:07Speaker 3: Tough dude.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Mark got me read.
- 15:10Speaker 1: I ripped my butt cheek, like the muscle on your
- 15:13Speaker 1: butt cheek.
- 15:13Speaker 5: Yeah, well, I had to get stitches. I was I
- 15:15Speaker 5: was sliding down a skateboard ramp. This is my skateboarding days,
- 15:18Speaker 5: and there was a there was a screw sticking up.
- 15:20Speaker 3: Oh wow, I tore your butt cheek though.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Yeah yeah yeah, but still that suckstitches. Yeah?
- 15:28Speaker 3: How did you? Did? You just sit in my side?
- 15:30Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 15:31Speaker 5: So I after I got the stitches in school, I
- 15:33Speaker 5: had to sit like on a pillow all day in
- 15:36Speaker 5: class and I had to sit like kind of lean sideways.
- 15:38Speaker 3: It looked like it looked like I was just.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Like, didn't have your V eight. Yeah, you wouldn't get
- 15:42Speaker 1: that reference. No, it does not understand that one of
- 15:44Speaker 1: those two or exactly. I tore my buttthole once riding bike. Yeah, recently, No,
- 15:50Speaker 1: six years, seven years ago. It's pretty recent because's not
- 15:53Speaker 1: like you were ten years old riding a bike. Oh no,
- 15:55Speaker 1: I was rinning a peloton and they were like up down,
- 15:58Speaker 1: up down, up down. Mother. I didn't even know. It
- 16:01Speaker 1: just stung, and then I went I tore my butthole.
- 16:04Speaker 3: Yeah, that sucked. And that was just long lingering more
- 16:07Speaker 3: than it was because I got back in.
- 16:09Speaker 1: The I just remember tearing it be like who am I?
- 16:10Speaker 3: What am I doing? Here? Was the seat up? I
- 16:14Speaker 3: don't understand, though, Yeah, how do you do that?
- 16:15Speaker 1: I was just aggressively because they do all right, stand
- 16:19Speaker 1: go go go, go, sit go go go, And I
- 16:21Speaker 1: think I probably.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Was just committed. Oh okay, it hurt it.
- 16:27Speaker 4: That's terrible.
- 16:28Speaker 2: Was it worth it?
- 16:29Speaker 4: No?
- 16:29Speaker 1: No, it sucked. It took a year to heal. Dude,
- 16:32Speaker 1: you have to use you have to use it every day. Yeah,
- 16:35Speaker 1: it's a chronic injury because of you have to use
- 16:39Speaker 1: that muscle all the time.
- 16:40Speaker 3: Yeah, so every time you try to heal it. I
- 16:42Speaker 3: tried everything to drink water.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Anytime you use that muscle a butthole, it would re rip,
- 16:48Speaker 1: so you would just beg it's terrible.
- 16:51Speaker 3: No, No, I'm not laughing at this sounds terrible?
- 16:53Speaker 2: Was that does sound? That's one of those things you
- 16:55Speaker 2: take for granted until you do something like that and
- 16:56Speaker 2: you're like.
- 16:57Speaker 3: That's every injury. Like you know, like my foot, I'm
- 16:59Speaker 3: taking for granted and just walking because I'm thinking about it.
- 17:02Speaker 1: You're like, next time I feel good with two feet,
- 17:03Speaker 1: I'm happy, I gotta go. It's like every time your
- 17:08Speaker 1: nose gets stopped up, You're like, why don't I appreciate
- 17:09Speaker 1: more my nose.
- 17:12Speaker 3: I saw somebody jogging him, like, you're so lucky. You
- 17:15Speaker 3: have no idea how lucky you are.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Eddie showed up to the workout though yesterday.
- 17:19Speaker 2: I saw dude, good stuff, man, that's awesome.
- 17:23Speaker 1: The problem is, and I why is there a problem?
- 17:26Speaker 3: I commend him? I do?
- 17:26Speaker 1: I commend him because his foot hurts, is in a
- 17:29Speaker 1: boot and you can't even move around. But I'm watching
- 17:30Speaker 1: him do pull ups and we do these banded pull ups.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Could you do a lot of them? And you put
- 17:33Speaker 1: it on your leg and you go. So let's say
- 17:35Speaker 1: you one leg, so you put your knee in the
- 17:36Speaker 1: band hm, and you're going up and down and you
- 17:40Speaker 1: your foot you can go down and rest on it.
- 17:42Speaker 3: Go again. But he's doing the wrong foot, where his
- 17:44Speaker 3: foot in the boot is hitting.
- 17:45Speaker 1: The ground over and over again when he could have
- 17:47Speaker 1: easily put the I'm like, Eddie, why are you using
- 17:49Speaker 1: the bad foot to hit the ground. Oh no.
- 17:51Speaker 3: The funny, the funniest on was our trainer goes, hey,
- 17:54Speaker 3: grab the kettlebells and just walk down the farmers farmers
- 17:57Speaker 3: walk for like twenty five yards. I'm like, I go
- 18:00Speaker 3: was like, whoa, whoa, don't do that.
- 18:02Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, you're god.
- 18:03Speaker 3: Eddie was hurt. I was totally about to do it too.
- 18:08Speaker 2: I like the commitment, Eddie, trying to get you held
- 18:09Speaker 2: up here. Yeah, commitment. Next question, all right, with Jalen
- 18:13Speaker 2: Waddle getting paid this week, where do you rank the
- 18:15Speaker 2: Dolphins in terms of wide receiver duo in the league.
- 18:17Speaker 1: I'd say that the best are I mean probably the
- 18:21Speaker 1: Vikings because you have to look at who number one
- 18:23Speaker 1: is too, right, and I would say Justin Jefferson.
- 18:26Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Eagles are good too, though, but I would say Justin
- 18:28Speaker 1: Jefferson and Chase are the two best wide receivers right, yes,
- 18:34Speaker 1: just generally Jamar Chase, justin jeff I put them at
- 18:37Speaker 1: one in one A. You can switch them whatever you
- 18:38Speaker 1: want to do. I think Chase got a little more
- 18:40Speaker 1: shy becuse hes got a better quarterback or cousins. He
- 18:44Speaker 1: wasn't always healthy, so but when he was, man Jefferson was.
- 18:48Speaker 2: They're awesome.
- 18:49Speaker 1: They're both awesome, awesome, But Tyreek is so good. Waddle
- 18:57Speaker 1: is also so fast that if it wasn't for Tyreek
- 19:01Speaker 1: being so fast, Wattle would be like the fast guy,
- 19:04Speaker 1: and like he is, that whole team is just wildly
- 19:07Speaker 1: the speed ridden. But if I were going to pick
- 19:10Speaker 1: based on the two wide receivers, I think I would
- 19:13Speaker 1: go because Jordan Addison's good with Jefferson.
- 19:18Speaker 3: He's the number two.
- 19:20Speaker 1: I think I would go Chase and Higgins in Cincinnati
- 19:26Speaker 1: there At two, I'm probably gonna put A J. Brown
- 19:30Speaker 1: and DeVonta Smith. At three, I'm gonna put Tyreek and Waddle.
- 19:34Speaker 1: There's so little gap in between them though. At four,
- 19:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna put Jefferson and Addison and the Deebo and
- 19:43Speaker 1: Brandon and I what c D and what whoever else
- 19:47Speaker 1: they pick up off the free agent. Still there. Still
- 19:52Speaker 1: it's solid, but it's solid. Not even I did think
- 19:55Speaker 1: Beau came over from the Texans he.
- 19:56Speaker 3: Was gonna be more. They really didn't know what to
- 19:59Speaker 3: do with them. I guess I thought he was gonna
- 20:01Speaker 3: have a better year.
- 20:02Speaker 2: He's one of those guys, though, You're like, I think
- 20:04Speaker 2: he's really good, But why does he just keep bouncing
- 20:06Speaker 2: team the team.
- 20:06Speaker 3: There's a reason.
- 20:07Speaker 2: There's gotta be a reason.
- 20:07Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, I would think so.
- 20:10Speaker 1: I mean, it feels like he's a bit problematic, but
- 20:13Speaker 1: aside from that, there are a lot of problematic players
- 20:15Speaker 1: and maybe he's not. But I thought the same thing.
- 20:18Speaker 1: But you would think with all the attention that Seed
- 20:20Speaker 1: gets that there will be no other choice than for
- 20:23Speaker 1: Cooks to have seventy five receptions and be more productive
- 20:29Speaker 1: just because of how much their bracketing CD or because
- 20:34Speaker 1: that number two ends up getting crazy production because they
- 20:37Speaker 1: spend so much time trying to shut down Number one. Okay,
- 20:40Speaker 1: I don't put the Cowboys in the time live buddy y.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Yeah, alright, next up, Okay, second receivers here. Three receivers
- 20:46Speaker 2: are yet to get paid. And if you were just
- 20:48Speaker 2: started a team right now, who would they be out
- 20:50Speaker 2: of CD Jamar Chase and Justin Jefferson.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Three great wide receivers, No doubt about it. Jamar Chase
- 20:55Speaker 1: will be number one for me because I've just seen
- 20:57Speaker 1: him do it at a high level.
- 21:00Speaker 3: But Burrow has been hurt too.
- 21:01Speaker 1: You know when I was saying Kirk Cousins, Burrow has
- 21:03Speaker 1: been hurt to Burrow gets hurt every year. Every year
- 21:05Speaker 1: Burrow has been hurt. I would still go Jamar Chase.
- 21:09Speaker 1: What's crazy is Jamar and Jefferson used to play together
- 21:12Speaker 1: with Brow with Burrow on what they.
- 21:14Speaker 3: Call the greatest team ever. Well some do they do? Yeah?
- 21:18Speaker 1: Yeah, like that team had Burrow, those two wide RECEI.
- 21:22Speaker 3: Yeah, that's one of them.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Yeah, in my lifetime, that might be the greatest team
- 21:26Speaker 2: I've ever seen.
- 21:26Speaker 1: The USC team Liner and Thunder and Lightning. That's pretty good.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Reggie Bush and uh.
- 21:32Speaker 2: Like letting Jarrett to Dwayne Jarrett the receiver.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Oh Am, I thinking of the running back to play
- 21:38Speaker 1: the Titans too, Reggie Lyndall White, thank you. So I
- 21:42Speaker 1: probably go Chase then Jefferson than Lamb. I just feel
- 21:46Speaker 1: like Seede Lamb hasn't been able to show how at
- 21:49Speaker 1: times he has and it's crazy good at times remember
- 21:51Speaker 1: all those No, yes, but I feel like consistently, but
- 21:55Speaker 1: not of his own fault of quarterback production fault.
- 21:58Speaker 3: It doesn't remember he can't catch.
- 22:01Speaker 1: It doesn't allow him to consist. He has massive games
- 22:04Speaker 1: when you get him the ball. Yeah, but I feel
- 22:06Speaker 1: like at times.
- 22:07Speaker 3: And yards after catch pretty amazing.
- 22:09Speaker 1: But I'm not taking the away from him. I'm saying
- 22:10Speaker 1: he I don't feel like he's been able to show
- 22:13Speaker 1: what he has as much and consistently as the other
- 22:15Speaker 1: two because that he hasn't had a quarterback that's put
- 22:17Speaker 1: him in that position.
- 22:19Speaker 3: Or a strong number two that has made that. I understand.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Yes, dude, don't take things so personally.
- 22:25Speaker 3: Well, it's just like why are you taking now? You're
- 22:26Speaker 3: taking shots at Dak right now? Like he gets them
- 22:29Speaker 3: the ball. They have great production, they're awesome together, Yes
- 22:34Speaker 3: they do. They have their foot production. Joe Burrow doesn't
- 22:38Speaker 3: even play, and Dak's there every game.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Joe Burrow is the only person to beat Patrick Mahomes
- 22:43Speaker 1: in the playoffs, that's true.
- 22:45Speaker 2: And Tom Brady and Tom Brady yeah twice, Joe.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Burrow has actually won some even with his nineteen injuries. Okay,
- 22:53Speaker 1: I like Joe Burrow for the league.
- 22:55Speaker 3: I like Joe Burrow. Yeah, good quarterback.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Swag.
- 23:00Speaker 3: That's fun. I agree, all right, give me one more?
- 23:04Speaker 2: All right, last one? When the NBA Finals, know set,
- 23:06Speaker 2: what's your favorite storyline?
- 23:07Speaker 3: Heading in Eddie picking both teams? That's the headline.
- 23:12Speaker 1: That's my favorite storyline. Eddie has picked both teams. There's
- 23:15Speaker 1: no way he can be wrong, and that's it, and
- 23:17Speaker 1: that's my favorite. I think probably for me personally, I
- 23:21Speaker 1: would like to see Luca win one, even though I'm
- 23:23Speaker 1: not a Luca fan, because I think Luca's one of
- 23:25Speaker 1: the best players ever and he's never going to actually
- 23:27Speaker 1: get to be in that top ten category until he
- 23:30Speaker 1: gets a title. So I would like to see Luca
- 23:33Speaker 1: win one. Possibly two or three, who knows, but I
- 23:35Speaker 1: think that's my favorite. I think the Kyrie versus Boston
- 23:39Speaker 1: things fun. I think Boston probably thinks more about it
- 23:44Speaker 1: than anybody else does. Like I don't think all these
- 23:48Speaker 1: NBA fans like, here we go, Kyrie back to Boston.
- 23:50Speaker 1: I think Boston people are like, f M, let's go,
- 23:53Speaker 1: but that'll be fun. Boston fans are crazy and racist
- 23:56Speaker 1: and stuff.
- 23:58Speaker 3: What's can you answer a question for me? Maybe you
- 24:00Speaker 3: don't know the answer. But who owns the Mavericks? Like,
- 24:04Speaker 3: so Cuban sold to the casino like a group. Oh
- 24:11Speaker 3: it's a group. Okay, that makes more sense. But I
- 24:13Speaker 3: think there's some owners that own but it's a company
- 24:15Speaker 3: he sold it to because the guy that got the
- 24:17Speaker 3: trophy the other night was the president. Now he was
- 24:20Speaker 3: the governor of what of the Mavericks? That's what the
- 24:23Speaker 3: title said. Then anymore, they've changed that in all of basketball.
- 24:26Speaker 3: Oh I didn't know. They don't call him owners anymore. Okay,
- 24:28Speaker 3: so he's the governor officially, they call them the governors.
- 24:31Speaker 3: It hasn't really caught on yet, but yeah, so that's
- 24:34Speaker 3: the it's the thank you for clarifying that. I'm like
- 24:36Speaker 3: really listed as.
- 24:38Speaker 2: The owner, says Mark. Cuban sold it to the families
- 24:40Speaker 2: of doctor Miriam Addelson and Sevon and Patrick Dumont.
- 24:44Speaker 1: The group okay, and the governor would be whomever there's
- 24:48Speaker 1: there's a probably a president that's also in the ownership
- 24:51Speaker 1: group that type thing.
- 24:53Speaker 3: But NFL it's the owner. Yeah, that's what I thought.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Okay, I think Luke and Kyrie working together is fun.
- 24:59Speaker 3: I mean going to from like not being able to
- 25:00Speaker 3: work together.
- 25:01Speaker 2: Oh, last year, that's crazy.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Last year they were in the in the trying not
- 25:05Speaker 1: to get in the playing game.
- 25:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Yeah, they can get a better traffic pick. But my
- 25:10Speaker 1: favorite is Eddie picking both teams. Let's go there, you
- 25:12Speaker 1: goel Mavericks the.
- 25:16Speaker 3: Map, Sell, Sell Sell. That's a tough one.
- 25:20Speaker 1: It's a tough combination. The Meltics. You just did the
- 25:23Speaker 1: one letter the Meltics. All right, that's a tittle tattle,
- 25:29Speaker 1: the tittle tattle with the Bears are gonna be.
- 25:39Speaker 3: The hard knocks team. And it's good. People want to
- 25:41Speaker 3: see Kayla Williams number one.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Pick one of these. We don't see a quarterback like this,
- 25:49Speaker 1: but once a decade type players even more, that's cool.
- 25:52Speaker 2: So I think it's bad for a middle I think.
- 25:56Speaker 1: This version, this generation of kid coming out of college,
- 25:59Speaker 1: especially KYLEB. William He's already had the lights and the
- 26:01Speaker 1: cameras and the action. He's already made millions of dollars.
- 26:04Speaker 1: I don't think the transition in twenty twenty four is
- 26:08Speaker 1: what the transition would have been in seventeen because of
- 26:13Speaker 1: just because of everything he was allowed to have and do, not.
- 26:16Speaker 3: Just Caleb, the whole team though there's distraction.
- 26:19Speaker 1: To there's distraction being an NFL player, And they from
- 26:25Speaker 1: people that I've talked to that have been a part
- 26:28Speaker 1: of this show a bit, they you know, you kind
- 26:31Speaker 1: of know no when cameras are on, especially for like
- 26:34Speaker 1: the personal stuff the individuals. Of course they can find
- 26:36Speaker 1: stuff in practice, they can even kind of cherry pick stuff,
- 26:41Speaker 1: but they can't put anything in you didn't do and
- 26:44Speaker 1: otherwise just practice well.
- 26:46Speaker 3: And it's not like they're doing too much serious stuff.
- 26:48Speaker 3: It's just spring training, no camp, training, camp, training camp. Sorry, sorry, Yeah,
- 26:54Speaker 3: I think it's good. Like who else would you have
- 26:56Speaker 3: picked if the Bears weren't an option? Eliminate the Bears?
- 26:58Speaker 3: Do you go back to the Jets with Aaron Rodgers? Know?
- 27:01Speaker 1: But that's top ten probably, But you don't.
- 27:04Speaker 3: Do that, do you.
- 27:05Speaker 1: You're gonna want to take a high profile team even
- 27:09Speaker 1: if they suck, because you're not gonna want to go
- 27:11Speaker 1: to Carolina. You're not gonna want to go to one
- 27:13Speaker 1: of any of the small market teams, even like a
- 27:16Speaker 1: Green Bay doesn't sound that fun because those guys don't
- 27:19Speaker 1: really allow that much. It's such a system like your
- 27:21Speaker 1: your packer culture. I think we need a Chargers will
- 27:24Speaker 1: be good Jim with hardball there.
- 27:27Speaker 3: Could that be cool?
- 27:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think he would have it, but I
- 27:29Speaker 1: think that would be a good one.
- 27:29Speaker 2: He funny.
- 27:30Speaker 3: Want to see Russell Wilson. I want to like just
- 27:33Speaker 3: go in and see how Steelers, just want to see
- 27:35Speaker 3: how how he really is.
- 27:36Speaker 1: He would annoy me, yeah, I mean, but that'd be
- 27:38Speaker 1: so entertaining, And I like that would have been fun.
- 27:40Speaker 1: I like that because they have two quarterbacks now and
- 27:43Speaker 1: they have a dynamic coach.
- 27:45Speaker 3: No, he's fun. They they have a really tough schedule. Yeah,
- 27:51Speaker 3: it's gonna be tough.
- 27:52Speaker 1: I mean, and does Justin Fields at some point? Like
- 27:55Speaker 1: what are they doing with what? I wonder what their
- 27:57Speaker 1: mind is right now with Justin Fields? Is it we
- 27:59Speaker 1: have album in case Russ sucks or we have them
- 28:02Speaker 1: because we sign Russ this very short deal and he's
- 28:04Speaker 1: going to be the next guy up after Russ.
- 28:06Speaker 3: Could they do a Taysom Hill thing, No, because neither
- 28:09Speaker 3: one of them do that. Justin Fields doesn't run, yeah,
- 28:12Speaker 3: but he gets he's not built like that.
- 28:15Speaker 1: Taysom Hill runs a very straight downhill package.
- 28:17Speaker 2: To Yeah, he's more of a runner than a quarterback,
- 28:19Speaker 2: where Justin's more of a quarterback than a runner.
- 28:22Speaker 3: So that will be interesting.
- 28:24Speaker 1: The thing I'm looking forward to the most, which really
- 28:26Speaker 1: doesn't have to do so much with but with the
- 28:28Speaker 1: Bears too.
- 28:29Speaker 4: They have.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Rom Adnze, the Washington wide receiver. Yeah, which drafted early. Yeah,
- 28:36Speaker 1: I think it's a good pick. I think it's solidly
- 28:38Speaker 1: a good pick with nothing to click baity like, Oh,
- 28:40Speaker 1: we can't wait to see what happens. We just want
- 28:42Speaker 1: to see these new players. And apparently some guy that's
- 28:44Speaker 1: really good that we Washington College who's in LA Spotlight
- 28:48Speaker 1: was already on them.
- 28:49Speaker 3: It'll be good. I'm good with it.
- 28:51Speaker 1: I give it a eight out of ten, and I
- 28:52Speaker 1: don't know there was an eight point five or a
- 28:53Speaker 1: nine option. Next would probably be in the Chargers. I
- 28:57Speaker 1: like watching hardball's little press conferences.
- 28:59Speaker 3: Oh he's it's funny.
- 29:01Speaker 1: Yeah, it's funny and like oddly overly positive whenever you know,
- 29:06Speaker 1: he's just getting in dude's butts and practice. Bleacher Report
- 29:10Speaker 1: had that story. I feel like that's something else that
- 29:14Speaker 1: I was turning it into.
- 29:14Speaker 3: But I'm excited to see kill the words I didn't
- 29:16Speaker 3: see a lot of him in college just because the USC.
- 29:19Speaker 3: I didn't really watch a lot of those games.
- 29:20Speaker 1: I watched him at Oklahoma a lot when he came
- 29:22Speaker 1: in mid season, and then like I watched him beat
- 29:25Speaker 1: Kansas State by or Kansas maybe by taking Kansas by
- 29:28Speaker 1: taking the ball from his own player, it's crazy, and
- 29:31Speaker 1: then him transferring, So I guess I was kind of
- 29:32Speaker 1: close to the situation because my families they're all OWERU fans.
- 29:36Speaker 1: And then I did watch a lot of him playing
- 29:39Speaker 1: at USC, just because I'd bet on those games and
- 29:42Speaker 1: they were the only games on at times, like USC
- 29:44Speaker 1: Arizona that ended up being a good game, the Colorado
- 29:46Speaker 1: game that ended ud been a pretty good game too,
- 29:48Speaker 1: with a lot of points, but they had no defense. Yeah,
- 29:50Speaker 1: I don't know. I think it'll be good, but I
- 29:52Speaker 1: trust people who do it for a living more than me,
- 29:55Speaker 1: and the team has to sign off on that, right
- 29:57Speaker 1: what on hard knocks? I think the NFL kind of
- 30:01Speaker 1: establishes who's.
- 30:02Speaker 2: Doing oh really, Yeah, yeah, there's like rules to.
- 30:04Speaker 3: It, because I don't think the Jets wanted it last year. Yeah, yeah,
- 30:07Speaker 3: I think the NFL has a little bit of who
- 30:09Speaker 3: flew in the helicopter and the jets one. I remember
- 30:11Speaker 3: that one just being because that's my example of like distraction.
- 30:14Speaker 3: There was like some celebrity that flew in a helicopter
- 30:16Speaker 3: just to meet Aaron Rodgers. Oh is it the guy
- 30:18Speaker 3: the voice who does the voice.
- 30:20Speaker 1: Of Levers Leave Schreiver, Leave Schreiver.
- 30:23Speaker 3: Oh of hard not y? He like flew in and
- 30:27Speaker 3: they canceled all of practice because the helicopter comes in
- 30:30Speaker 3: and he wanted to meet Aaron Rodgers.
- 30:31Speaker 2: That would be annoying.
- 30:32Speaker 1: Yes, that was probably also set up though by it
- 30:34Speaker 1: probably but distracting. But again they're adults, They're fine. There
- 30:39Speaker 1: are no distracts their lunch break. Yeah, it's a helicopter landing.
- 30:43Speaker 3: Who cares? Uh So that's fun. So what do you
- 30:46Speaker 3: think about my hat?
- 30:47Speaker 1: I love?
- 30:48Speaker 3: No one say anything about it?
- 30:49Speaker 1: War the other day I was waiting wait really yeah,
- 30:51Speaker 1: work for a whole day at work and nobody said
- 30:53Speaker 1: anything about it. And it's it's uh, I just my
- 30:57Speaker 1: Instagram knows exactly what to feed me because it's like
- 31:00Speaker 1: balls dancing girls, that's yours.
- 31:02Speaker 3: No mine is funny.
- 31:06Speaker 1: So it's like, hey, you should make your hats and
- 31:08Speaker 1: did the upside down curl thing and I was like,
- 31:10Speaker 1: let me do twenty five whistles, but twenty five was
- 31:11Speaker 1: too many letters.
- 31:12Speaker 3: I had to do two five whistles. I was wondering
- 31:14Speaker 3: why he went two five. Yeah, I like it though,
- 31:16Speaker 3: it seems cool I got.
- 31:17Speaker 1: I just bought two of them to see if I
- 31:18Speaker 1: liked how it looked.
- 31:19Speaker 3: But do we like it? I love it?
- 31:21Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 31:21Speaker 3: I mean I can make some more, but I just
- 31:22Speaker 3: made it from a website.
- 31:23Speaker 4: I love it.
- 31:24Speaker 2: It's awesome. You know how many compliments I get on this?
- 31:27Speaker 2: That's too much access?
- 31:27Speaker 3: One?
- 31:28Speaker 2: It's cool every time I wear it.
- 31:29Speaker 1: My wife designed that was like corduroy and yea, yeah,
- 31:31Speaker 1: they're they're quiet.
- 31:32Speaker 2: Every time we're gonna get one of those hats, I'm.
- 31:33Speaker 3: Like, I know, yeah, I get the that's funny. Like
- 31:36Speaker 3: what it's funny I think you're doing? Like that's what
- 31:39Speaker 3: I'm thinking. What do you think my hat means? Too
- 31:42Speaker 3: much access?
- 31:45Speaker 1: I had a Paul Goldschmidt helmet, small, small helmet on
- 31:48Speaker 1: my desk, which I ironically had way before we had
- 31:52Speaker 1: the Cardinals set up. I wanted to break a Paul
- 31:56Speaker 1: gold Schmidt helmet, and you know, he was a l MVP.
- 31:58Speaker 1: In twenty twenty two, we interviewed him for Too Much
- 32:01Speaker 1: Access Saint Louis Cardinals, which we hope comes out next week.
- 32:04Speaker 3: You send it off to them, not.
- 32:06Speaker 2: They just sent me an agreement thing.
- 32:08Speaker 3: Yeah, we're working okay.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Agreement as in, have they seen it licensing? No, it
- 32:13Speaker 2: has nothing to do with the episode. It's just something
- 32:15Speaker 2: we have to sign off on.
- 32:16Speaker 3: Do you have to pay for something?
- 32:17Speaker 4: No?
- 32:18Speaker 1: Are you sure?
- 32:18Speaker 2: As of right now, I'm working on stuff.
- 32:21Speaker 3: We're good.
- 32:22Speaker 1: We're good. I don't like I've spent so much money
- 32:27Speaker 1: on too Much Access. I can't spend anymore.
- 32:29Speaker 3: Please save me.
- 32:30Speaker 2: I'll tell them that you need to borrow some money.
- 32:33Speaker 1: I got fifty cents comment covered. So as this Paul
- 32:37Speaker 1: goldschmid Ha went on my desk. We go into too
- 32:39Speaker 1: Much Access hopefully the Cardinals episodes next week. Do we
- 32:41Speaker 1: think it's next week?
- 32:41Speaker 3: Yeah? Okay.
- 32:43Speaker 1: I gave it to Eddie.
- 32:43Speaker 3: I was like, here, you can have this. I have
- 32:44Speaker 3: a bat now that he gave me. That was really cool.
- 32:46Speaker 1: So I gave it to Eddie. I was like, hey,
- 32:47Speaker 1: you can have this. Give it to your kids. They
- 32:48Speaker 1: may think it's cool. They'll say the episode of too
- 32:50Speaker 1: much access totally.
- 32:52Speaker 3: My intention was for Eddie to give it to his kids.
- 32:54Speaker 3: That was mine too well, and that would have been fun,
- 32:56Speaker 3: right yeah, yeah, yeah, accept what happened. I went to
- 33:00Speaker 3: my orthopedic. I went for my first appointment. There is
- 33:03Speaker 3: a switch of sports doctor sports medicine place, right, so
- 33:06Speaker 3: when I get in there, like they're like, oh, yeah,
- 33:08Speaker 3: we know you. We love your show. It's so cool whatever,
- 33:11Speaker 3: like ah, thanks guys, And on their walls they have
- 33:13Speaker 3: autograph jerseys, pictures of Babe Ruth, autograph helmets like all
- 33:17Speaker 3: over the place, like this is really cool. So I thought, like,
- 33:20Speaker 3: since they're taking care of my foot and I told
- 33:22Speaker 3: them the cool story of like, yeah, I broke my
- 33:24Speaker 3: foot playing baseball with the Cardinals and all that, I
- 33:26Speaker 3: thought I can donate it to the doctor's office. They
- 33:29Speaker 3: could put it right there in the front and they
- 33:31Speaker 3: can be like donated by.
- 33:32Speaker 1: Twenty five whistles, like you know, wanted to be you
- 33:35Speaker 1: wanted to be Eddie twenty.
- 33:36Speaker 3: Five whistles, you just and then we fixed his leg
- 33:39Speaker 3: all that stuff. So okay, long term, I haven't done
- 33:43Speaker 3: it yet. I just thought that would be a cool
- 33:45Speaker 3: little gift for them. Plus my kids. Man, they got
- 33:48Speaker 3: all kinds of stuff and they don't know what. They
- 33:51Speaker 3: don't know that they're not getting it yet. You can
- 33:54Speaker 3: do whatever you want, what to it's yours. I gave
- 33:56Speaker 3: it to you. But yes, but you gave it to
- 33:59Speaker 3: me for my kid.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Are you wanting like a cheaper you want to like
- 34:02Speaker 1: a discount on your foot. No, it's more of just
- 34:05Speaker 1: like a token of appreciation for taking it.
- 34:07Speaker 3: It's not even fixed yet, you're right, so I should
- 34:10Speaker 3: wait for the two week mark, three week mark, whatever
- 34:12Speaker 3: the mark is. It's so fixed.
- 34:14Speaker 2: Tell them, Hey, if you can get this in a week,
- 34:17Speaker 2: I'll give this to you.
- 34:19Speaker 1: You say, hey, I talked to Paul and he said,
- 34:23Speaker 1: if you guys can fix me, he'll sign you guys
- 34:24Speaker 1: a helmet.
- 34:24Speaker 3: Send it down. That is so genius. And it's still
- 34:29Speaker 3: it's still in the box. Now it says dorm dude,
- 34:32Speaker 3: take it out.
- 34:33Speaker 1: You can take it out of the box. Okay, you
- 34:35Speaker 1: can do whatever you want with it. Dude, that's a
- 34:36Speaker 1: great idea. Your kids don't think it's that cool.
- 34:39Speaker 3: No, they don't know. But I haven't have not given
- 34:42Speaker 3: it to it.
- 34:42Speaker 1: But what's the final takeaway from this?
- 34:45Speaker 3: If I have to go back to that doctor's office again.
- 34:47Speaker 1: The better.
- 34:48Speaker 3: Yeah, dude, I'm royalty there now.
- 34:51Speaker 2: You want every time you walk in there, hey, there's
- 34:53Speaker 2: a guy.
- 34:54Speaker 3: And the like, they tap the helmet, you know what
- 34:56Speaker 3: I mean. But it's not a big help. It's too many.
- 34:58Speaker 3: It's a mini helmet, so maybe it'll go right by
- 35:00Speaker 3: the front reception of the check in desk I have.
- 35:05Speaker 1: I don't have a problem with it's your helmet. Do
- 35:06Speaker 1: whatever you want if your kids. If you don't think
- 35:08Speaker 1: your kids are gonna like it, no, I think they
- 35:10Speaker 1: will like it, but they fight over it. That's the thing, dude.
- 35:13Speaker 3: I have four kids, so like every time I bring
- 35:15Speaker 3: home something, they're like, well, why didn't I get it? Well,
- 35:17Speaker 3: you'll get the next one. It's just constant, okay.
- 35:20Speaker 1: But if you're gonna give to your doctor, do it
- 35:21Speaker 1: with no integrity at all and say, I talked to
- 35:23Speaker 1: Paul and he's gonna say.
- 35:24Speaker 3: You got the helmet if you fix me. That's amazing.
- 35:27Speaker 3: It's just weird that my mind actually goes to that.
- 35:30Speaker 3: I know, that's just lo.
- 35:31Speaker 1: Sometimes it's scary to me. But you use it for
- 35:34Speaker 1: good now, you'll never really use it for now. You're
- 35:38Speaker 1: not like a You never know when I'm going to
- 35:39Speaker 1: turn a villain.
- 35:42Speaker 3: Clip that story read. I like that the helmet. We'll
- 35:45Speaker 3: put that on the internet, and then when I give
- 35:46Speaker 3: it to them, they're gonna be like, we know the
- 35:48Speaker 3: real story they have, like Babe Ruth up in there. Yeah,
- 35:52Speaker 3: there's all this cool memorabilia up there. You know what
- 35:54Speaker 3: I did last night? I subscribed to the WNBA A
- 35:57Speaker 3: League Pass. Oh wow, just to watch one team twelve
- 36:00Speaker 3: ninety five a month, or will you be watching all teams?
- 36:04Speaker 1: I don't give a crap by anybody other than the
- 36:06Speaker 1: Indiana Fever. So twelve ninety five a month. I am
- 36:10Speaker 1: now a subscriber to the WNBA League Pass.
- 36:13Speaker 3: Hey, that's not cheap.
- 36:15Speaker 1: I watched Kaitlin Clark score thirty. Then I watched her
- 36:17Speaker 1: score twenty. Last night they lost again. She has no help,
- 36:22Speaker 1: but they haven't won yet still one game?
- 36:24Speaker 2: Oh they did.
- 36:25Speaker 3: Yeah, that's toff. So I'm a big fan of the Fever.
- 36:32Speaker 1: And I did better over nineteen and a half, but
- 36:34Speaker 1: like two hundred bucks on that felt pretty good.
- 36:36Speaker 3: I looked up some stats this morning. Of course he did.
- 36:40Speaker 1: You looked at the favor people are just such haters.
- 36:43Speaker 1: And again, I was not a Kaitlin Clark stan super
- 36:47Speaker 1: passionate hardcore fan until there were so many haters for
- 36:50Speaker 1: no reason. And people are like, well, she's only getting
- 36:52Speaker 1: all this attention because she's either pretty or white or straight,
- 36:56Speaker 1: And I'm going she's the.
- 36:57Speaker 3: All time points leader in the NC double men or women.
- 37:01Speaker 1: She gets the attention because she broke the biggest record
- 37:03Speaker 1: of all time in college basketball. People, so they are haters,
- 37:08Speaker 1: and she has nobody around her that Aliah Boston tries
- 37:11Speaker 1: a little bit, they can't catch her passes like Katela
- 37:14Speaker 1: Cars dropping dimes. So here we go Kaitlin Clark in
- 37:16Speaker 1: the WNBA, she's fourth overall assists per game. She's top
- 37:21Speaker 1: fifteen points per game at thirty or at seventeen point
- 37:24Speaker 1: six points a game, and there are some really low
- 37:26Speaker 1: games up front that really pull that down. But she's
- 37:28Speaker 1: a top fifteen scorer and she's top five and assists.
- 37:32Speaker 1: How people can hate on that by itself and then
- 37:36Speaker 1: playing on such an awful team where all they do
- 37:38Speaker 1: where they were playing a team and the girl she
- 37:39Speaker 1: shot one free throw and went but to guard her
- 37:41Speaker 1: again did forgot to shoot the second free throw.
- 37:42Speaker 3: Oh wow, Oh you guys didn't see this. That's how
- 37:44Speaker 3: off they are.
- 37:45Speaker 1: She was face guarding her the entire game. Now they
- 37:49Speaker 1: would be backcourt. She's face guarding her the whole time.
- 37:51Speaker 1: This doesn't happen to anybody else. So she's face guarded
- 37:54Speaker 1: her the entire game. She goes up and now she
- 37:56Speaker 1: gets fouled. She's shooting two free throws. She shoots the
- 37:58Speaker 1: first free throw and on the internet, we'll put the
- 38:00Speaker 1: clip up with it right now. Shoots the first free throw,
- 38:03Speaker 1: and then a Meal runs over and gets a Kaylinks
- 38:05Speaker 1: face and they're like, hey, you have another free throw
- 38:06Speaker 1: to shoot.
- 38:07Speaker 3: The refs like what are you doing?
- 38:08Speaker 1: That's how obsessed they are, dang with stopping her, and
- 38:11Speaker 1: they still can't.
- 38:12Speaker 3: She's still a top fifteen score, top five and assists.
- 38:15Speaker 1: Caitlin's face after that too.
- 38:16Speaker 3: She's just like, she's like, what the heck, Yeah, what's
- 38:18Speaker 3: what's going on here? Get out of my face?
- 38:21Speaker 1: So I am a proud WNBA League pass.
- 38:25Speaker 3: Thank you, good for you, Yeah, thank you.
- 38:28Speaker 1: I tried to buy a Kaitlin Clark signed card off eBay.
- 38:31Speaker 1: I wanted to sign rookie card, but in her eye
- 38:34Speaker 1: and I bit, I got, I get last second jumped.
- 38:38Speaker 1: Oh in the auction for like forty minutes, I was
- 38:40Speaker 1: number one and I haven't bit above what the bottom was.
- 38:42Speaker 1: So they had to like guess what mine and I
- 38:44Speaker 1: got I got jumped.
- 38:46Speaker 3: Dang, I know.
- 38:46Speaker 1: I'm still trying to get that, like her autographed stuff.
- 38:50Speaker 1: It's going for like a thousand bucks cards. Dang, gotta
- 38:55Speaker 1: get that. And that's hey, and that's not even full value.
- 38:58Speaker 1: If he ask me, so, did that?
- 39:02Speaker 2: Didn't that?
- 39:03Speaker 1: Yeah, you clipped that whole thing too. If I didn't
- 39:04Speaker 1: say that another thing that I did. So I sent
- 39:08Speaker 1: off a bunch of my cards. It's gonna be very brief.
- 39:09Speaker 3: This stole part of it.
- 39:10Speaker 1: I said, a bunch of my cards to get graded.
- 39:12Speaker 1: And we've been doing it for a couple months now.
- 39:14Speaker 1: We don't have any of them back because it takes
- 39:15Speaker 1: like three months.
- 39:15Speaker 3: Its forever.
- 39:16Speaker 4: That's crazy.
- 39:16Speaker 1: And Kevin's been helping. I've been dropping them off at
- 39:18Speaker 1: the store.
- 39:18Speaker 3: This's here.
- 39:19Speaker 1: They have the grade them there at the store. No,
- 39:20Speaker 1: but they have a place you can drop them off
- 39:23Speaker 1: and they send them to PSA. And so I got
- 39:26Speaker 1: some of them back and they're like some of them
- 39:28Speaker 1: have eights, and I took them right out of the package,
- 39:31Speaker 1: put them right in the holder, and.
- 39:33Speaker 3: Mailed them right off, like barely touched.
- 39:35Speaker 1: I think in that day, I didn't even want to
- 39:37Speaker 1: look at the scores, but Kevin sent me all of them,
- 39:38Speaker 1: and they're right in front of my face, and I'm like, oh,
- 39:40Speaker 1: not your fault, kind of but kind of it. So
- 39:43Speaker 1: I saw them and I'm like, I'm not gonna look,
- 39:44Speaker 1: but I did look. And out of the thirty cards
- 39:47Speaker 1: that I sent in the first batch, nine were Jim
- 39:51Speaker 1: mint Ten's only nine of well perfect. There were like
- 39:54Speaker 1: seven or eight nines and then some eights, and I
- 39:56Speaker 1: was like, eights, who's gonna want to eight?
- 40:00Speaker 3: So I'm going through that process.
- 40:02Speaker 1: I took a tom Brady individual card and if it's
- 40:05Speaker 1: worth over five hundred bucks, they make you pay a
- 40:07Speaker 1: different amount and you it comes back quicker too, though.
- 40:10Speaker 1: So I took a Tom Brady signed he's in a
- 40:12Speaker 1: Michigan uniform, he signed it, and they were like, yeah,
- 40:15Speaker 1: this one is at least worth at least a thousand dollars.
- 40:20Speaker 1: So I sent it off and I got the note
- 40:21Speaker 1: back yesterday and it's a real thick square card. It's
- 40:24Speaker 1: like perfect interview is an eight an eight day, Well,
- 40:28Speaker 1: at least it has an auto on it. Dude, here
- 40:30Speaker 1: here's what you can do. Break it out and sell
- 40:31Speaker 1: it raw. Well that's what I started thinking.
- 40:33Speaker 3: Can you break it out? Is that what you're gonna say? No?
- 40:35Speaker 3: You no, no, of course not never mind. I know
- 40:36Speaker 3: you can create the story of like, well Tom Brady
- 40:39Speaker 3: signed it. He had to hold it and do all that.
- 40:40Speaker 3: So that's why it's you know, not meant.
- 40:42Speaker 1: Committing tell though that's not a good as a Golschmidt life.
- 40:45Speaker 3: No, it's not as good. You're right, you're right, but
- 40:48Speaker 3: but still if somebody signs something, you got to like
- 40:51Speaker 3: touch it and maybe bend a corner.
- 40:53Speaker 2: But it's a really thick cart anyway. That come back
- 40:55Speaker 2: as an it's can you send it to another company?
- 40:59Speaker 3: You can break it out. That's like second opinion.
- 41:01Speaker 2: Yeah, like a doctor's second opinion.
- 41:04Speaker 1: But you can do second opinion. You can even send
- 41:06Speaker 1: it back. But sometimes they grade these cards. Yeah, you
- 41:10Speaker 1: can't pay for it, but you can sometimes. What I've
- 41:13Speaker 1: learned when they grade these cards, it's not just about
- 41:16Speaker 1: corners and physical it's also like how it was printed.
- 41:19Speaker 3: And you have no control of it, nothing to do
- 41:20Speaker 3: with you.
- 41:21Speaker 2: Hmm.
- 41:22Speaker 3: So it could be like or like those older ones
- 41:24Speaker 3: that you buy, right, like those older eighties ones, and
- 41:26Speaker 3: like they've been in a basement for so long or.
- 41:28Speaker 1: Whatever and them are stuck together. Yeah, but that's for
- 41:31Speaker 1: a different reason.
- 41:33Speaker 2: Somebody just really like them.
- 41:37Speaker 3: Thank you, the whole box. Thank you. We're gonna play
- 41:41Speaker 3: a little game called listen to an interview. Okay, I'm ready,
- 41:45Speaker 3: we already did.
- 41:45Speaker 4: I'm in.
- 41:46Speaker 3: So this is this is Ryan.
- 41:48Speaker 1: Ryan's the coach and general manager of the Major League
- 41:50Speaker 1: pick Aball team, the Texas Ranchers. Full disclosure on part
- 41:52Speaker 1: owner of the team. So it's cool to see how
- 41:54Speaker 1: they operate and practice there is Major League pick Aball.
- 41:56Speaker 1: Coach is also a semi pro pickleball player himself and
- 41:59Speaker 1: a co founder of the Lab, which is an awesome
- 42:00Speaker 1: training facility for pickleball players but also for Yeah, there.
- 42:03Speaker 3: Were weights and stuff, so it was awesome. So here's
- 42:07Speaker 3: coach and general manager.
- 42:09Speaker 1: Here's Ryan.
- 42:09Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 42:10Speaker 1: So you're the coach?
- 42:12Speaker 4: Yes, sir?
- 42:12Speaker 3: Was that a GM?
- 42:13Speaker 1: Well, I'm like I'm leading up to something GM building
- 42:16Speaker 1: what so, what the like? What do those roles mean?
- 42:20Speaker 1: When it comes to pickleball specifically because I don't have
- 42:21Speaker 1: I played pickaball, I don't have a coach.
- 42:24Speaker 4: Should you?
- 42:25Speaker 3: Could you like three?
- 42:26Speaker 1: I actould have like three coaches, Yeah, one for right hand,
- 42:28Speaker 1: left hand, both, but like, what is your role that's
- 42:31Speaker 1: multi faceted?
- 42:32Speaker 3: What do you do?
- 42:33Speaker 1: Uh?
- 42:33Speaker 6: The GM hat is more specifically focused on the draft
- 42:37Speaker 6: that we had a month ago in April, and uh,
- 42:39Speaker 6: working with Ted Evan and Alex to really help kind
- 42:42Speaker 6: of figure out who we wanted to draft and kind
- 42:45Speaker 6: of two men two women fashion to build.
- 42:48Speaker 1: Your scout to then, so you gotta scout. He's a
- 42:52Speaker 1: scout as well.
- 42:53Speaker 4: Scouts scout.
- 42:55Speaker 6: But yeah, so living and breathing pro pickaball in the
- 42:58Speaker 6: current landscape and you know, watch playing and really asking around,
- 43:02Speaker 6: uh and understanding what the new meta is because pickle
- 43:06Speaker 6: ball at the pro level is changing kind of every
- 43:07Speaker 6: three to six months and in terms of what you
- 43:10Speaker 6: need in terms of skill sets and the median athletes
- 43:12Speaker 6: getting better, So it's it's rapidly changing. And if you're
- 43:14Speaker 6: not on the pulse, then you're picking names that sounded
- 43:17Speaker 6: good last year and ultimately aren't unlocking another level too
- 43:20Speaker 6: in the coming years.
- 43:21Speaker 1: So are you good yourself or were you just good
- 43:25Speaker 1: enough to like almost be elite, but like a knee
- 43:29Speaker 1: got you or an elbow. So now you're coaching because
- 43:32Speaker 1: you learned a lot.
- 43:35Speaker 4: It's not a fault.
- 43:36Speaker 1: That's good.
- 43:38Speaker 4: That's good framing.
- 43:39Speaker 6: I consider myself a humble semi pro in terms of
- 43:43Speaker 6: I'm not gonna make it a full time living, but
- 43:45Speaker 6: I will plan the pro tournaments hopefully against these guys.
- 43:49Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, pretty cool, yourself good?
- 43:53Speaker 1: I would change Actually did that?
- 43:55Speaker 4: Someone actually did that in the first season.
- 43:59Speaker 1: Like back in the day, when looking for a vice president,
- 44:01Speaker 1: they put Dick Cheney as the head of the vice
- 44:04Speaker 1: president search committee. And you know who he picked himself,
- 44:06Speaker 1: Dick Cheney. You should addict yourself. That's weird, but I
- 44:11Speaker 1: meant Dick Cheney. Yeah. So when you so, okay, So
- 44:15Speaker 1: do they listen to you? Like, what do you coach
- 44:16Speaker 1: them on? Specifically?
- 44:18Speaker 6: I think in this in this capacity for on court
- 44:21Speaker 6: performance is making sure we have a plan, making sure
- 44:24Speaker 6: that we've done the homework to understand who our matchups are,
- 44:26Speaker 6: and making sure that we've got deliberate practice sessions and
- 44:29Speaker 6: making sure that they're comfortable with each other. And kind
- 44:31Speaker 6: of asking the questions that they may have wanted to ask,
- 44:33Speaker 6: but because they're new to each other, or you know,
- 44:36Speaker 6: life's busy and they're on tour like they don't and
- 44:39Speaker 6: so kind of making sure you're the sometimes kind of
- 44:42Speaker 6: friendly dictator to make sure we're all on the same
- 44:44Speaker 6: page and kind of approaching a weekend with unity. So
- 44:48Speaker 6: I think there's like a few things where I throw
- 44:50Speaker 6: out ideas like, hey, this seems like a pattern that's
- 44:53Speaker 6: working for you or not, Like do you understand that
- 44:56Speaker 6: or is that something you're aware of your strength?
- 44:58Speaker 1: We'd be like, do your pinky down a little lower?
- 45:00Speaker 1: Is that your thing?
- 45:01Speaker 3: No?
- 45:02Speaker 4: No, I'd be fascinated to learn if they have an
- 45:04Speaker 4: intricacy at that level.
- 45:06Speaker 1: I can teach you later.
- 45:07Speaker 4: Yeahh cool, thanks.
- 45:08Speaker 1: I have one one of my best friends is a
- 45:10Speaker 1: tennis Hall of Famer and he plays a little bit.
- 45:12Speaker 1: But how does the tennis translate into pickleball.
- 45:16Speaker 6: It translates well, but it's it's like not the ENDLBL.
- 45:21Speaker 6: Like we've seen some high level transfers to Sam Querry
- 45:24Speaker 6: jacksack some on the woman's side, and you know it
- 45:27Speaker 6: certainly gets them up the ladder very quickly.
- 45:30Speaker 4: But it's not the NLBL. You have to put in
- 45:32Speaker 4: a lot of work.
- 45:33Speaker 6: This is inherently a different sport, and a lot of
- 45:36Speaker 6: the tennis folks don't necessarily have the hands, or the
- 45:39Speaker 6: patients or the chess like decision making to like thrive
- 45:43Speaker 6: at the higher levels of pro like they would. They
- 45:46Speaker 6: wamp on any like amateur wreck person in their kind
- 45:50Speaker 6: of like ten session, but that doesn't mean competing against
- 45:52Speaker 6: folks who've done this for four years and weekend week
- 45:54Speaker 6: out and of ten million more touches under the lights
- 45:58Speaker 6: like is going to be like the So it's certainly
- 46:02Speaker 6: I'm a big fan of proud member of the No
- 46:05Speaker 6: Tennis Club. I played college lacrosse, so it's a fun
- 46:08Speaker 6: kind of challenge for me to pick up some of
- 46:10Speaker 6: the baseline groundstrokes. But ultimately you can still thrive if
- 46:13Speaker 6: you don't have it.
- 46:14Speaker 1: I've played in a few like celebrity pro tournaments where
- 46:17Speaker 1: the celebrities that I play against I'm pretty good against.
- 46:20Speaker 1: I could kind of hold my own, yeah, maybe not
- 46:22Speaker 1: win every time, but some the pros there's no chance
- 46:26Speaker 1: like I played them. It's such a gap and somebody
- 46:28Speaker 1: who is a good wreck player versus a professional, Like
- 46:32Speaker 1: the gap is so much bigger than I could possibly
- 46:34Speaker 1: have imagined.
- 46:35Speaker 6: They're invisibly good, is what I like to say. Like
- 46:38Speaker 6: it's you don't know until you've pushed your ceiling, you
- 46:41Speaker 6: don't know exactly like how good they are on the
- 46:43Speaker 6: consistency level, on the power level, on the spin level.
- 46:46Speaker 6: And I think we're just talking about this at our
- 46:48Speaker 6: team dinner last night. The whole sport, you know, as
- 46:52Speaker 6: a whole, at the professional full time training level is
- 46:57Speaker 6: so early that most amateurs things they're just gonna skyrocket
- 47:01Speaker 6: up the ladder, and it's like, no, you're gonna hit
- 47:03Speaker 6: a ceiling. And until you hit a really firm ceiling,
- 47:06Speaker 6: you don't understand what three levels above you means, you know.
- 47:09Speaker 6: And but everyone right now is just having so much
- 47:10Speaker 6: fun playing pickle, which is great, great for the sport,
- 47:12Speaker 6: great for the activity. But it's just they're they're they're
- 47:17Speaker 6: freaking good, and and it's weird to say, like, no,
- 47:20Speaker 6: no five handicap is like, oh, I'm going to go
- 47:22Speaker 6: play on the like the Hyundai Open and you know,
- 47:25Speaker 6: win this weekend on the golf tour. But because you
- 47:28Speaker 6: can sense that gap, you know, you've played with the scratch,
- 47:30Speaker 6: you've played with a plus two that's womped you every
- 47:33Speaker 6: time at the club. That doesn't mean you're going to
- 47:35Speaker 6: jump to the corn ferry, you know, PGA.
- 47:38Speaker 3: But let's pretend that there's a dude at like Onion
- 47:42Speaker 3: Creek who like dominates Onion Creek and the word gets
- 47:46Speaker 3: out and you're like, oh, let's go check him out,
- 47:48Speaker 3: and he is or she is really really really really good.
- 47:51Speaker 3: Now you mentioned drafting players. Could you bring someone in
- 47:55Speaker 3: from off the streets who's like really really really really good.
- 47:57Speaker 4: Yeah, there's we woul't necessarly do it.
- 48:00Speaker 6: We're in Premiere, which is the kind of upper level
- 48:02Speaker 6: of yeah Premiere, Yeah, no big deal, no, but certainly
- 48:06Speaker 6: that is the that is a strategy within kind of
- 48:08Speaker 6: challenger you You've they've drafted some folks who've only played
- 48:11Speaker 6: two tournaments to their name, but one of the women
- 48:14Speaker 6: two years ago went to the NCAA finals for singles tennis,
- 48:17Speaker 6: And it's like you're betting on a blue chip kind
- 48:19Speaker 6: of like athlete horse who's like shown she's really committed
- 48:22Speaker 6: and she's early, but you're you're you're betting on her
- 48:24Speaker 6: ceiling being really high.
- 48:26Speaker 1: Freshman had of college basketball, maybe it was six man,
- 48:28Speaker 1: but still gets drafted top five overall. Yeah, like you
- 48:30Speaker 1: see a lot of potential that could happen, and with
- 48:33Speaker 1: one of the teams that's not a premier league team.
- 48:35Speaker 6: Yeah, I think it's a little too much a risk
- 48:36Speaker 6: for the I mean, yes, there's a lot of there's
- 48:39Speaker 6: a lot of betting right now in it, especially with
- 48:41Speaker 6: the new two to three year horizon. There's a there's
- 48:44Speaker 6: a sense of like, hey, they may struggle for three
- 48:46Speaker 6: six months kind of learning all of the like intricacies,
- 48:50Speaker 6: but over the long term, now with these contracts and
- 48:54Speaker 6: being committed to a brand and a franchise in a city,
- 48:56Speaker 6: you know, you can develop them. Previously that wasn't really
- 48:59Speaker 6: an off, so now it's everyone can kind of put
- 49:01Speaker 6: on a little bit of a longer term Lens Sea Bones,
- 49:04Speaker 6: that's you.
- 49:04Speaker 3: That's why I was asking the question.
- 49:05Speaker 1: I appreciate that Kobe out of high school didn't even
- 49:07Speaker 1: start with the Lakers first year.
- 49:07Speaker 3: I know, I'm Kobe, but I'm like forty pretty much Kobe.
- 49:11Speaker 4: Yeah, Yeah, there we go, we heard it.
- 49:13Speaker 1: Here's the question. Yeah, I think our audience would like
- 49:16Speaker 1: to understand you said, Premiere. Yeah, like talk to me
- 49:20Speaker 1: like I'm five, What does that mean?
- 49:22Speaker 3: And what is not Premiere?
- 49:24Speaker 6: Premiere is like varsity. Well, hopefully no one in Challenger
- 49:28Speaker 6: takes this as a knock, but for a five year
- 49:31Speaker 6: old brain, Premiere's varsity.
- 49:33Speaker 4: Yeah, Challengers JV.
- 49:35Speaker 1: Now, if we do like a thirteen year old brain,
- 49:38Speaker 1: this may be an unfair Yeah, and I'm not a soccer.
- 49:41Speaker 4: Thirteen year old brain.
- 49:41Speaker 6: Bobby, thank you, Major League Baseball Challengers Triple A.
- 49:46Speaker 1: That's good. Okay, hold on, okay twice twenty five year
- 49:48Speaker 1: old brain and do soccer?
- 49:53Speaker 4: I don't. But is that soccer model?
- 49:57Speaker 3: Is that the same?
- 49:58Speaker 1: So exactly and right they they are like relegated.
- 50:03Speaker 3: Sorry I had my apologies me too.
- 50:05Speaker 1: Food ball football. If you're like in the bottom of
- 50:08Speaker 1: the league, do you fall to the league below and
- 50:09Speaker 1: do you can you climb to the top league.
- 50:11Speaker 4: In this rendition, the top three teams of the lower
- 50:14Speaker 4: league will be promoted to THEE. So there's yeah.
- 50:18Speaker 6: That was a calculated bet by some of the ownership
- 50:20Speaker 6: groups to say, hey, we're not going to pay up
- 50:21Speaker 6: to be in Premiere this season, but through our performance
- 50:24Speaker 6: at the end of the year, we're going to be
- 50:26Speaker 6: in the top three and we'll join.
- 50:28Speaker 1: The big like the big Boys, but the bottom three
- 50:30Speaker 1: of the Premiere they I don't know. I have checking
- 50:35Speaker 1: that's not like seventy two teams in the Premier League
- 50:37Speaker 1: in like ten years.
- 50:38Speaker 4: I mean the sport. I mean fastest growing sport in America?
- 50:40Speaker 4: You know, how do you have you heard that? You
- 50:43Speaker 4: heard that some times?
- 50:45Speaker 1: I've heard that a lot. Anytime mention it, it's like,
- 50:47Speaker 1: you know, it's fastest growing sport.
- 50:48Speaker 4: Or or it's take a shot every time someone says it.
- 50:51Speaker 1: Or it's like or why don't you play tennis? And
- 50:52Speaker 1: I'm like, I tried. It's not you know, watching it's
- 50:56Speaker 1: hard with tennis. This is my opinion of it. Having
- 50:59Speaker 1: a very limited background in both. To start playing tennis
- 51:03Speaker 1: is really hard. Yeah, you it's almost you start and
- 51:07Speaker 1: you're like, wait, this is gonna take forever to just
- 51:09Speaker 1: be able to be on a court and start to
- 51:11Speaker 1: try to train to get okay. With pickleball, you can
- 51:13Speaker 1: get okay.
- 51:15Speaker 6: Relatively perfectly designed game slash sport like it sucks everybody in.
- 51:20Speaker 6: You're like, you're you're hooked on your first session, and
- 51:24Speaker 6: it's so you always have a reason to play, and
- 51:26Speaker 6: that's why people play four or five times a week.
- 51:27Speaker 6: That's why there's pickle ball, indoor pick a ball clubs
- 51:30Speaker 6: that are dedicated just to pick a ball. It's because
- 51:33Speaker 6: you can see your friends, you can get off the couch,
- 51:35Speaker 6: you can play, you can invest in it like tennis
- 51:37Speaker 6: or golf like a skill sport.
- 51:38Speaker 5: Uh.
- 51:39Speaker 4: It's just there's every reason to play every day.
- 51:41Speaker 1: And the balls don't cost as much as golf balls.
- 51:44Speaker 1: If you lose one, the woods very easy. Maybe you
- 51:48Speaker 1: guys have crazy balls. I buy a bucket of ball's
- 51:50Speaker 1: this big. It doesn't cost as much as much.
- 51:52Speaker 4: Are you actually buying in your family or staff?
- 51:56Speaker 3: Oh, he's not going to the store. I go to
- 51:57Speaker 3: the store exactly.
- 52:00Speaker 1: It's not shopping at stores for the most part.
- 52:01Speaker 3: Like I don't know, six years ago, the.
- 52:03Speaker 6: New ball that play that people play on tour with
- 52:05Speaker 6: four dollars could crack, you know, like a month in
- 52:08Speaker 6: that's I would never difference four bucks.
- 52:11Speaker 3: Yeah, but I feel like I'm better at golf, but
- 52:13Speaker 3: I'm not.
- 52:14Speaker 1: That's the thing.
- 52:15Speaker 3: I'm not better at golf. Are there better quality rattles?
- 52:19Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I can tell you that.
- 52:20Speaker 3: Yeah, they're paddles, but rackets.
- 52:22Speaker 1: No, See he's a rookie.
- 52:24Speaker 4: Call it two times?
- 52:25Speaker 3: Is it a paddle a paddle? Okay, Okay, I'm.
- 52:27Speaker 4: In rackets a big anywhere. If you're big tennis, you're
- 52:30Speaker 4: in big tennis, payroll.
- 52:31Speaker 3: A big, big time. You're like that, but you're hitting.
- 52:33Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, but yeah, there's a distinct difference. Yeah and paddle.
- 52:38Speaker 6: I'd say, if you're serious about trying it, and you
- 52:39Speaker 6: think you think they're you're going to play five or
- 52:42Speaker 6: ten times, I'd invest in the seventy five dollars paddle,
- 52:44Speaker 6: the forty dollars thirty dollars one that you get from Amazon.
- 52:47Speaker 6: It's fine, but it's gonna actually you're going to feel
- 52:50Speaker 6: like a limitation to it, and you're going to be
- 52:52Speaker 6: kind of frustrated that you didn't just spend a little
- 52:54Speaker 6: bit more at the gate.
- 52:55Speaker 3: But they go up to twenty four goal. That was
- 52:57Speaker 3: two thousand, it says, right, they go up.
- 53:00Speaker 4: To three hundred bucks right now, three hundred dollars for
- 53:02Speaker 4: a paddle. Yeah, but you can say that about one
- 53:04Speaker 4: of the drivers. One driver, and you have fourteen clubs.
- 53:07Speaker 3: But you know you get twenty five yards out of that.
- 53:09Speaker 1: No, but you also get it fifteen times a day. True,
- 53:12Speaker 1: this you get to swing all day. Yeah, from big Tennis,
- 53:14Speaker 1: Big time. Get him out of here tennis. He's from
- 53:16Speaker 1: big tennis, Big Tennis. What's the goal this season?
- 53:20Speaker 4: You have a new Twins championship?
- 53:21Speaker 1: Do you have a new team.
- 53:22Speaker 6: Anyway, we have a real shot at it? Okay, Yeah,
- 53:24Speaker 6: Like we drafted very well. They're all playing on the
- 53:28Speaker 6: tour extremely well. In the last few months. We're getting
- 53:31Speaker 6: together while they have familiarity of playing with each other.
- 53:34Speaker 6: Three of them live in Florida. We're bringing them the
- 53:36Speaker 6: team retreats. Like I think it's you know, it's a
- 53:39Speaker 6: little cliche to say it's our season to lose, but
- 53:40Speaker 6: I genuinely believe that, Like, we have an opportunity to
- 53:44Speaker 6: show up in these six events, you know, sixteen matches
- 53:47Speaker 6: and and really went.
- 53:48Speaker 1: Let me ask you getting into the weeds, granular GM
- 53:51Speaker 1: type of question when you draft, how did you get
- 53:54Speaker 1: the draft order?
- 53:55Speaker 3: Is it a snake draft like Fantasy football? Good question.
- 53:58Speaker 6: Yeah, there's a planted question or a genuine USESH know,
- 54:00Speaker 6: I'm genuinely because it's the most contentious and interesting part
- 54:04Speaker 6: of the draft.
- 54:04Speaker 3: I'm a great interviewer, So let me have it.
- 54:06Speaker 6: Yeah, props to you, interviewer had so previous seasons were
- 54:10Speaker 6: snake drafts, so one through twelve you kind of go
- 54:12Speaker 6: back and go back and forth, and you know, anyone
- 54:16Speaker 6: familiar with snake draft, it's you can kind of understand
- 54:20Speaker 6: where the groupings of talent may fall to you. This
- 54:22Speaker 6: one was an auction based draft, so it's a fantasy
- 54:26Speaker 6: football draft. So you theoretically had a million dollars five
- 54:29Speaker 6: hundred thousand monopoly money, and then ownership groups could elect
- 54:33Speaker 6: to spend another five hundred k. So you had a
- 54:35Speaker 6: million dollars to spend and that's like real money. Five
- 54:40Speaker 6: hundred thousand was out of pocket.
- 54:41Speaker 4: Real yeah from me only wow. Within premiere.
- 54:45Speaker 6: This was auction based, and so all the ownership groups
- 54:47Speaker 6: and gms logged onto a fantasy football like interface and
- 54:51Speaker 6: the first slot for draft pick number one came up
- 54:54Speaker 6: and you real time bid.
- 54:55Speaker 1: Oh you've been on the slot, not the player.
- 54:57Speaker 4: Yeah, you've been on the slot.
- 54:58Speaker 6: And the only the only slot that really meant a
- 55:01Speaker 6: player was Ben Jonson, the kind of the living go
- 55:04Speaker 6: best player in the world by far, so he was
- 55:06Speaker 6: going to go number one. It was just a matter
- 55:07Speaker 6: of how much, And he ultimately went for eight hundred
- 55:10Speaker 6: thousand dollars, So somebody whosed eighty percent of their total purchasing.
- 55:14Speaker 4: Power to get Ben.
- 55:15Speaker 6: Who bought him the Pioneer Seattle Pioneers, and they elected
- 55:20Speaker 6: to say, hey, Bennett Beato. Bennet's so good that we're
- 55:25Speaker 6: going to like round out a team of three other
- 55:26Speaker 6: people far far far down into the forties. But Ben
- 55:31Speaker 6: can kind of carry and he's going to win two
- 55:32Speaker 6: of the four matches ninety percent of the time.
- 55:36Speaker 4: Like he's that good.
- 55:37Speaker 1: So what what spot did the ranchers get?
- 55:39Speaker 4: Well? So we we elected to draft.
- 55:42Speaker 6: Oh, so we spent I think it was like four hundred,
- 55:45Speaker 6: five hundred and twenty thousand of our million for the
- 55:48Speaker 6: first our first pick at number seven, and we chose
- 55:52Speaker 6: Christian Alshan, And then we spent another one at like
- 55:57Speaker 6: fifteen or sixteen for at a right, and then we
- 56:01Speaker 6: snagged Tina Pisnick at kind of like thirty two, and
- 56:05Speaker 6: then Pablote has like fell to us in forty four.
- 56:08Speaker 6: So we used like nine hundred and seventy thousand of ours.
- 56:10Speaker 1: Do you keep the rest? Be honest, who keeps the
- 56:12Speaker 1: rest Okay, they.
- 56:12Speaker 4: Probably went to these hats. These are hats. Okay, those
- 56:15Speaker 4: are expensive hats.
- 56:16Speaker 1: What about though, the idea of if you spend all
- 56:17Speaker 1: your money on one or two and then you're only
- 56:19Speaker 1: there to draft yourself, because what else are you going
- 56:21Speaker 1: to do?
- 56:21Speaker 4: Dick, you actually be seen you and I if we
- 56:24Speaker 4: ran out of money exactly like okay, So.
- 56:27Speaker 6: But anyways, it was very complex because you can't really
- 56:29Speaker 6: model how other ownership groups were going to do, like
- 56:32Speaker 6: what is their player that they're going to really go
- 56:34Speaker 6: above board for?
- 56:35Speaker 4: Are they going to go male male female? Female? Male?
- 56:37Speaker 6: Fe Like you couldn't really model, and so you just
- 56:39Speaker 6: had to have an understand Going back to your first question,
- 56:41Speaker 6: you just had to know your shit around the players,
- 56:43Speaker 6: like you had to know of the sixty seventy players
- 56:46Speaker 6: that could be drafted in the top forty eight. You
- 56:48Speaker 6: really needed to know in real time what you were
- 56:50Speaker 6: going to do with with combos and pairings and so
- 56:53Speaker 6: that for two weeks we lived it.
- 56:54Speaker 4: Did player interviews.
- 56:55Speaker 1: Do you mont drafts like we did two?
- 56:58Speaker 6: We know a lot of other people did other ones.
- 56:59Speaker 6: But it's so hard to model because you don't know
- 57:00Speaker 6: if they're going to even spend towards a million. Sure,
- 57:03Speaker 6: you don't understand if they're going to go after the
- 57:04Speaker 6: one person at all costs.
- 57:05Speaker 3: So it's just like same fantasy.
- 57:07Speaker 1: It's tough.
- 57:07Speaker 3: Yeah, well different thoughts.
- 57:09Speaker 1: Unless it's an auction draft, you really have no idea
- 57:11Speaker 1: what they're going to spend on a player. Well, so
- 57:13Speaker 1: the one interesting I'm against you now, big pickle cut it.
- 57:21Speaker 6: But the one interesting anecdote is, you know, you talk
- 57:23Speaker 6: with someone who does like fantasy football on like a
- 57:26Speaker 6: global level.
- 57:26Speaker 4: You know, you're two hundred dollars.
- 57:28Speaker 6: You know, everyone says overspend for your elite like Christian
- 57:31Speaker 6: McCaffrey at forty five, homes at forty three, Like you're
- 57:33Speaker 6: spending thirty percent of your money, and then you try
- 57:36Speaker 6: to like get some sleepers in the end, like have
- 57:38Speaker 6: some you know, sneaky value. But the problem is those
- 57:42Speaker 6: guys are all playing on different teams in different cities
- 57:44Speaker 6: and you're summing their point total. This is like they're
- 57:47Speaker 6: playing events together, like as a team, and so it's
- 57:50Speaker 6: like you actually had to be a lot more nuanced
- 57:53Speaker 6: and it wasn't just raw production because you're like you
- 57:55Speaker 6: had to create a team that has like tetris.
- 57:57Speaker 1: Like, explain that too, because you have four people on
- 57:59Speaker 1: a team, how does it work if you go to
- 58:02Speaker 1: a tournament and how to all four play?
- 58:04Speaker 6: Yeah, so when you play another team, you're you're playing
- 58:07Speaker 6: at least for four games within a.
- 58:08Speaker 1: Match, and so so not a tournament, then I messed
- 58:10Speaker 1: up at that question. MLP event, Yeah, so let's say
- 58:12Speaker 1: it's an MLP event straight up.
- 58:14Speaker 3: Yeah, so we're gonna play Seattle.
- 58:15Speaker 1: We hate Seattle. So let's say we go to Seattle.
- 58:16Speaker 3: We hate those spend they spend too much money.
- 58:18Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, beeny, they're broke.
- 58:20Speaker 6: Yeah, so our woman will play their women, and then
- 58:24Speaker 6: our men will play their men, and then our mixed
- 58:26Speaker 6: pairing of the men and women will play their mix pairing,
- 58:29Speaker 6: and then we'll play another mix pairing, and if we're
- 58:31Speaker 6: tied after two to two, you go to the dream breaker,
- 58:33Speaker 6: which is kind of the novel kind of fun singles based,
- 58:36Speaker 6: uh kind of tiebreaker.
- 58:39Speaker 1: So no singles unless it's the tie breaker.
- 58:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 58:41Speaker 6: Yeah, So it's all it's all doubles format, all team format.
- 58:44Speaker 6: But there's just a lot of like kind of fun
- 58:46Speaker 6: intricacies and equations of like what mixed partnership do you
- 58:51Speaker 6: if you lose the toss, you can't necessarily choose what
- 58:53Speaker 6: mixed partnership you want to match up, but their mixed partnership,
- 58:55Speaker 6: and if they're already had, they may put out their
- 58:57Speaker 6: best one to.
- 58:57Speaker 4: Seal the deal and go three zero.
- 58:59Speaker 6: So there's a there's a lot of fun, but basically
- 59:01Speaker 6: you have to create a team, whether it's you know,
- 59:04Speaker 6: as rudimentary is like lefty and right You don't want
- 59:06Speaker 6: two lefties.
- 59:07Speaker 4: You need you know, you want to write and writ
- 59:09Speaker 4: or righty in a lefty and then you need.
- 59:11Speaker 6: A woman who's comfortable playing on the left and a
- 59:12Speaker 6: woman who's comfortable playing on the right where they feel
- 59:14Speaker 6: really in their role. And so if you just go
- 59:17Speaker 6: by raw output value or what they did last season
- 59:19Speaker 6: on tour, you don't actually like melt them to be
- 59:23Speaker 6: like a one plus one equals three equation. So anyways,
- 59:25Speaker 6: it was complex, it was very stressful. But right after
- 59:30Speaker 6: draft night we were like super pumped because we had
- 59:33Speaker 6: literally three of the four names on our draft board
- 59:36Speaker 6: and we thought it would be like a wet dream
- 59:37Speaker 6: if we got them, and we're.
- 59:38Speaker 1: Like, interesting, interesting analogy there he went there, we went there,
- 59:42Speaker 1: I mean, give the man a raise though that's a lot.
- 59:44Speaker 1: He's a coach, he's he's head scoalt.
- 59:48Speaker 4: I mean the weeds had get You brought me into
- 59:50Speaker 4: the weeds too.
- 59:51Speaker 1: He's definitely in the weeds, coach.
- 59:54Speaker 3: Do you know the origin of pickleball?
- 59:56Speaker 2: Like?
- 59:56Speaker 3: Why is it called pickleball? Because I do.
- 59:59Speaker 1: Asked a question? You challenge you know that's sick sick dude.
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: Yeah, uh.
- 1:00:06Speaker 6: The bar Banbridge Island. I believe the guy's name like
- 1:00:10Speaker 6: family dog was named Pickle. Okay, but is that correct?
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: Now?
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: My theory is just they show you said you knew.
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: My theory is that it is called pickle because the
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: noise that makes like pick.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: That's not true because but you said you knew, and
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: now you said you.
- 1:00:25Speaker 6: Please don't clip this. This guy is so working for
- 1:00:27Speaker 6: big time. Yeah, sure, it's unbelievable.
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: Does it not sound like pick when you hit it?
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: No?
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: I guess if you you know that thing that's like,
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: uh white needle, Laurel. You hear it, Laurel? Yeah, maybe
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: that's Laura.
- 1:00:43Speaker 4: This guy. So last question, you should work for a big,
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: big fidel. They need some new staff.
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: I'll think of that, mister, mister Wimbledon.
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: Yeah, you have your four kids. Watch you in that
- 1:00:53Speaker 4: nice class bucks man.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: Okay, final question, Uh, season start to end, and how
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: is there a champion? And is there like a World
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: Series or super Bowl?
- 1:01:03Speaker 6: There's a we have six uh kind of weekend events
- 1:01:07Speaker 6: uh scheduled with like kind of fifteen matches and then
- 1:01:11Speaker 6: uh so that's what we know guaranteed. And then there's
- 1:01:13Speaker 6: a mid season playoff where all teams will converge uh
- 1:01:16Speaker 6: in northern Michigan in the summer to kind of win
- 1:01:19Speaker 6: like or compete, you know, for a mid season thing.
- 1:01:22Speaker 6: And then there's a culmination with semi finals in playoffs
- 1:01:25Speaker 6: and in the real finals experience at the end of
- 1:01:27Speaker 6: the year in late falls.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: So final, final question, bonus question. Let's say one of
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: our four players gets hurt. Yeah, number no, I won't
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: be near. I won't be near who knows. Maybe I'll
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: be on the Maybe I'm touring. I happen to be
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: in the same city. Happened to be chase them around.
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: But what if it's are you are usually just Texas?
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: Really I happen to be as I'm here.
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: I happen to be in the Michigan of your MLP tournament.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: If somebody goes down one, what do you do to
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: Could it be you?
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: Are you the alternate?
- 1:01:58Speaker 4: No?
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: No, you thought about that for one clip?
- 1:02:01Speaker 6: What if somebody I thought about trying to make a
- 1:02:03Speaker 6: funny a better way to go humorous? And what do
- 1:02:06Speaker 6: you do you pick up someone from where there's people
- 1:02:11Speaker 6: that are contracted, but don't day of I've still looked
- 1:02:15Speaker 6: into the rules. I know it's changed every season because
- 1:02:17Speaker 6: there's been.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: Can it be you? Though?
- 1:02:21Speaker 4: It can be made?
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: There we go, let's go. That's the Disney movie. That's it.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: He came on as coach and scout. Next thing you know,
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: he's holding the trophy. We don't wan anybody to get hurt,
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: but inevitably in sports there are at times injuries.
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: For sure, and if that happens, he's the dude, dude, dude,
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: this is it? Yeah, I mean I can't wait.
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: Like Shilah Booth plays him in the movie.
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: He's like Rudy instead of Rudy.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: It's wrong. I really appreciate the time. Thank you very much,
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: good luck this season, and let's let's let's go hit
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: it awesome?
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: Is that what you say?
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: Let's go hit it now?
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: I mean that's what we say when we go to school.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, all right, thanks to Coach. And you can
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: check out that episode too Much Access. Just go over
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: to too Much Access Bobby Bones on Instagram or to
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: my account at mister Bobby Bones. And hopefully next week
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: the Cardinals will be up. Saint Louis Cardinals. It's a
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: really good episode.
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: You like it, you watch it. No, I haven't watched
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: the yet.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: I'll sent you last night.
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: No, I'm not ready for it.
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: What he said it was giving him PTSD and PTSD
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: and I told him, you didn't serve to Vietnam, Bro,
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: you stepped on a base.
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: It's like I asked Read for the video clip of
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: my ankle, of me rolling my ankle and breaking my foot,
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: and I was like, am I ready for this? And
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: I watched him like I wasn't ready for that.
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: It's so good.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: Final thoughts. We'll come back in a second with that.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: Let's take a break, Okay, really final thoughts. Sure, I'll
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: go first in my collecting of memorabilia and cards, which.
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: I have enough memorabilia.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: I have the stuff that I'm keeping now and Read
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: and I you're working on selling a lot of it,
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: like I gave Rid a Cowboys helmet.
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: Yesterday, like just like commission.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: Not really. He was like, my friend Stone love the
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: cowboyson is getting a lot of stuff.
- 1:04:03Speaker 5: I gave that to him last night and he was
- 1:04:05Speaker 5: so pumped.
- 1:04:06Speaker 3: He was he was happy.
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: I think his thing was I hold his thing raids
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: thing was can I buy one of those? And I'm
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: not gonna make him give me money? Well I knew.
- 1:04:15Speaker 5: I knew I wasn't going to pay full price, but
- 1:04:17Speaker 5: I definitely were.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: You knew that I meant stop talking making notes.
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: I was gonna pay.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: So I was like, dude, because re kills it does
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: a great job. Sad he's leaving, but I know he's leaving,
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: and so I was like, here, what's a cool one?
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: So I found an Emmitt Smith blue one.
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: Dang, that's awesome. Red color. Looks you're talking about the
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: dark blue one?
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: Yeah, because Emmett won't not sign a contract after next year.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: Because I could have done a Dak, but DAK could end.
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: Up with like the you know bucks or something. You
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: mean sign a signing contract. Yeah, yeah, not to play.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: Like a contract.
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: DA's here.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: If Dak doesn't perform, the Cowboys will not resign him.
- 1:04:58Speaker 3: Oh you said, Emmett.
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: I mean Nomitt will not have to sign a contract.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: He's already done got there are no contracts from designed.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: He will always he already What do you know? He
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: left the Cowboys?
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: What are the cardinals that that's weird, so weird, but
- 1:05:10Speaker 3: he's never gonna.
- 1:05:11Speaker 4: Be on it.
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: He's always a cowboy in them.
- 1:05:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: Yeah, So I was like, you should have the Emmitt one.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: So I gave him the inmine when and I Stone
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: liked it.
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: Yeah, he was so excited.
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: So but my point is with these cards, there are
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: some cards it takes. It costs like twenty bucks a
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: card to get graded, and that's a lot. I probably
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: spent four thousand dollars in just grading cards. Yeah, overall.
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: Do I think I could sell them all back though?
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: As Yeah, I mean I do, and that's why it's
- 1:05:35Speaker 3: disappointed when it comes back as an eighth.
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: Yes, exactly. So, but I have a bunch they're like borderline.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: And so I took him to Eddie and instead of
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: just giving him cards so I was doing, I had
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: some though that were like good cards, and I said, hey,
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: give these to your kids.
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: And he's like oh, I should like teach him about money.
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: So you guys don wanted to do with them? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: it's just you know, they're they're nine and ten. So
- 1:05:55Speaker 3: I was like, this is a good time for them.
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: They do collect cards and Bobby's given him a lot
- 1:05:59Speaker 3: of cars, and it's like good ones too, like autos,
- 1:06:01Speaker 3: good ones. Yeah, and it's a good time to now, like, hey,
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: if you want to make money, and this is set
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: up an EBA account, you can learn about like shipping,
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: how to get an order, send an order out. And
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: then Bones had a good idea.
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: Well, I just said they can sell them have it.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: I get ten percent. Then they learn.
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: Taxes to invest, how to pay out an investor.
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: So one of his sons text me last night. I
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: was like, hey, we sold one. It was a signed card.
- 1:06:27Speaker 3: I was like my first first he FaceTime dude, Oh,
- 1:06:29Speaker 3: I didn't know.
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: I didn't see until later. I thought you did he did,
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: because until we had already texted, I didn't see.
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: I missed the FaceTime. As soon as he got the
- 1:06:36Speaker 3: sold notifications, like, Dad, give me the phone. I got
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: to call Bobby. They got to call Bobby. What was it?
- 1:06:43Speaker 4: It was the.
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: Singletary Devin Singletary signed Devon Singletary for like five bucks.
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: And what happens is on eBay you put.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: In how much the shipping is going to be and
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: they just give you that money. Then you pay for
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: and ship it. And he's like, we got that plus
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: the shipping, we have nine dollars. I'm like, that's not
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: how it works. You got five got to go pay
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: for the shipping because they gave you that money to
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: do that. And so I make ten percent. I said,
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: how much is that? I get ten percent? How much
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: it goes fifty cents? I was like, boom, let's go
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: learning learning. So I made fifty cents off that.
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: And what's cool is like the first one that I
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: put up, I put one up on Evan. I wrote
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: out the description, took pictures and everything. All right. It's like,
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: do you guys watch like, yeah, here's my computer, let
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: it rip. Oh, they're doing descriptions, They're doing everything.
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: Do you want to say? That's why some of the
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: people say page they want to go to. Do you
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: want to see the eBay page?
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: Yeah? Sure, is their names on on it. I'm like, hey, man,
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: watch the capital letters and all that it is on eBay,
- 1:07:34Speaker 3: it's rock and roll, no rock star, little t rock star.
- 1:07:39Speaker 3: L I L the letter t R O c K
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: s t A R Yeah, l I L L I
- 1:07:45Speaker 3: L T. Let me let me go. Look because I
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: tried to get to it earlier but I didn't.
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: We can link it in the episode description.
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: Now I want to go for me. I want to
- 1:07:52Speaker 3: maybe buy a couple things.
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: I mean, they buy it back. They're all about, hey,
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: wait a second.
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: Uh yeah, So we're doing the card thing.
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: That's awesome, that's fun, and they'll learn a little bit
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: of good little summer project.
- 1:08:02Speaker 3: How many of them are doing it? Two of them?
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: Just the two of them oldest and youngest aren't. Now
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: they're out, got it? Final thought, Eddie, Final thought is
- 1:08:08Speaker 3: I have a question for you guys about my foot again.
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: I don't mean to keep bringing it up, but people
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: were saying I've never worn a boot like this. But
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: people were saying, like, dude, you gotta wear socks with
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: that boot. Oh yeah, because it'll stink.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: Is that what it is?
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: Yeah? Because I mean I can't really wear socks because
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: it's still swollen. So I'm worried more of like hurting.
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: You can wear a sock. No, I wore one the
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: other day. Dude. It hurt my foot just because it
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: was like tight. My foot still is larger than my
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: other foot. Okay, we'll remove the drama. There's no drama
- 1:08:39Speaker 3: because of the heat, the moisture. When you sweat, it
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: gets stinkier. It's like it to have a cast. Can
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: you wash this thing? Yeah, you probably taken.
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: Apart, especially if you're working out in it.
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: That's true. I didn't think of it. No, No, I
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: did put a sock on for the workout just for
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: that reason. Maybe you asked that before you work out?
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: Can you work out in it? No, I put a sock.
- 1:09:03Speaker 3: I put a sock so because I knew I was
- 1:09:04Speaker 3: gonna swore. Can you wash it?
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, good point anyway, that's my question, should
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: wear a sock?
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: Because I mean, everyone has an opinion. Everyone I talked
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: to like, oh, well we do? You just asked, well,
- 1:09:14Speaker 3: I purposely asked you, guys, how.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: Many you have to wear that? Two weeks and then
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: a week of not being on it.
- 1:09:19Speaker 3: They said four weeks. But at the two week mark
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: they'll know where my progress is on my bone. So
- 1:09:25Speaker 3: it's one week tomorrow. Yeah, today, one week today today,
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: have you anniversary? Thank you dude.
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: Can't believe it was already a week ago.
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: I know, Kevin, that's crazy.
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I want to get your guys' thoughts on a
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: I saw something today for the first time in person,
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: seen all over the internet obviously, the Tesla trucks.
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: I almost I like them almost two Yeah, I like
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: them almost.
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: I mean I drove behind one for assault fifteen minutes because.
- 1:09:51Speaker 3: Jake, but one.
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: Oh, and you don't want to be like I don't
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: want to buy one Jake, but one?
- 1:09:55Speaker 4: Right?
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: But I also found a black one. I've never seen
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: the black ones. Well, they don't make them black. The
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: person had it painted.
- 1:10:00Speaker 3: Oh we'll do. Why don't you just paying a rent?
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: It's already I like the.
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: Black Have you test driven it or you know?
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: But I had a Tesla before. I liked it a lot.
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: I mean, I like Tesla's but man, that thing is funky.
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: Look it's very funky looking and I probably shouldn't want it.
- 1:10:12Speaker 3: Can you shoot at it? We can try.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: It's a bulletproof.
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: We'll have redrive.
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: We'll go like, ready to go.
- 1:10:18Speaker 3: I'm down.
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: They aren't ugly to me, but they're definitely not pretty.
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: It's like something from another like in the future, is
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: driving on the road and I don't quite understand it.
- 1:10:28Speaker 3: It's like, well, look at that, but they're becoming not
- 1:10:31Speaker 3: they're not prevalent. But there you see a few more now, right?
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: If I got one, would you think I was a douchebag?
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: I personally think it's more of like a I can
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: get this, so guess what I'm gonna buy it and
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: show it off.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: Well, you can get it now though, just by it's
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: not that much, is it?
- 1:10:44Speaker 3: Oh? Yeah?
- 1:10:45Speaker 4: Is it that much?
- 1:10:46Speaker 3: That's not that much? I want to hear this. Yeah,
- 1:10:48Speaker 3: what's not that much?
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: Well, I'm saying, like, it's not like you can't get
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: on a Lamborghini or anything. It's like a like one
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: hundred thousand dollars the.
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: Black, which is a lot.
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: I know it hard you get that truck now days?
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: And okay, anything under seventy grand is a.
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: Big nice or a nice truck. Yeah, how much money
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: am I paying Kevin for him to think.
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: Well, I wouldn't pay full price for it.
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: The black one that I saw in line was like
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: one sixty five.
- 1:11:13Speaker 3: Oh wow, because it was painted. I think that's so unique.
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: It happens not. I've not seen one of like that.
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: My wife, if I said, hey, I'm gonna go buy
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: this Tesla, you're gonna text that right now. No, we
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: already talked about it. She's like, you know, Jake, but one.
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: I was like, ah, let me see the black one
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: here for one fifty town. It's an auto trader probably
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: what he's saying.
- 1:11:34Speaker 5: I said, Uh, yeah, kid Rocks got got one that
- 1:11:38Speaker 5: he has painted like the General Lee car.
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: Oh, yes, that's a Revel flag. Yeah, is this black one?
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: It's like Matt Black.
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: Isn't it cool?
- 1:11:45Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: That's better then this.
- 1:11:47Speaker 3: S got one hundred and seven miles on it. But
- 1:11:49Speaker 3: where is it? I don't know that. So I'm trying
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: to find out were can we get it now?
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: Hm?
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: Hmm. I got a movie today. I'm gonna go see
- 1:11:59Speaker 3: a Planet of the Apes. See if you see Oh
- 1:12:01Speaker 3: you are the Night taking the Boys?
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: Do you see where that is going tonight? Too?
- 1:12:04Speaker 3: Kevin?
- 1:12:05Speaker 4: Sorry?
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: Well, yeah, I'm trying to.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: Information unavailable and it seems sketchy.
- 1:12:14Speaker 3: Read mm hmm. What's your thing? I'm trying to find
- 1:12:17Speaker 3: where this place is. I'm sorry, what do you have
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: anything to end on? Oh?
- 1:12:20Speaker 5: Have you seen the new NCAA football gameplay trailer?
- 1:12:24Speaker 3: Uh? Yeah, I can't wait for it's I'm looking for.
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: When is that?
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: I already pre ordered it. Yeah, I'm ready to go fifteenth.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: The problem is the Road to Glory doesn't have high school.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: I din't start in high school, which is weird. That
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: was the best I know. But I'm sure they have
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: they know this, but the road to Glory now starting
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: in high schools weird to me.
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: Yeah, because I like to be in.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: High school and they get recruited. Then yeah, go ahead,
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 1:12:42Speaker 5: No, you're good. How how often do you think they'll
- 1:12:44Speaker 5: have to update it like every week like players like
- 1:12:48Speaker 5: in the transfer portal and stuff like that.
- 1:12:50Speaker 3: It's interesting. I don't understand what you're saying.
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: He people moving teams, so oh yeah, no, no, no, no, no,
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: I think that which by the way, what team was it?
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: Maybe LSU or a lot of the players didn't sign
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: off and it's a bunch of gennaros. I think it
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: was LSU. I think it's like Madden and let they
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: don't if a player moves mid anything, they are still
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: on the team.
- 1:13:13Speaker 4: That makes sense.
- 1:13:13Speaker 5: Okay, sign like sign in and all of a sudden,
- 1:13:15Speaker 5: like my quarterbacks going, yeah.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: I don't think that's funny because they're going to transfer
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: a portal off of your team. Yeah, unless they did
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: it while you were the coach and it says, hey, coach,
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: I'm thinking about leaving, but I'm pretty excited about the game.
- 1:13:26Speaker 3: Sign off? What do you mean like the the the
- 1:13:29Speaker 3: teams have to pay or like do they not pay?
- 1:13:31Speaker 3: And they just sign off and be like, you can
- 1:13:32Speaker 3: use our likeness.
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: Each player that allowed for their likeness to be in
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: the game was given like five hundred.
- 1:13:38Speaker 3: Bucks in video games. That's perfect. I'll take that.
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: It was no big thing, but would you take it?
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I'd love to be in the game. Yeah.
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: But the guys from on the cover got paid different
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: in als, of course because they were much bigger.
- 1:13:49Speaker 3: I do have so remember is that. I'm sorry. I
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: was watching some auction right now on the cyber truck.
- 1:13:57Speaker 3: I didn't know that.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: Did you find out what the truck is? So I
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: made a purchase for Kevin. I gave him a Robert
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: Parrish card with a piece of a jersey. It was
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: I just saw it online. I thought it'd be cool,
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: like a little gift.
- 1:14:09Speaker 3: Do you remember that.
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: Yeah, it's fun.
- 1:14:11Speaker 4: How I got it?
- 1:14:11Speaker 3: Yeah? Do you like it?
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: I love it? Cool to my office.
- 1:14:14Speaker 3: Do you want to sell it?
- 1:14:15Speaker 6: No?
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: I have some I saw a gift for somebody else
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: that I bought, and I'm not gonna tell you who
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: it is though til next week.
- 1:14:22Speaker 3: Next week, Yeah, you already give stone a helmet.
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: I and I didn't go searching, but I saw this
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: and thought somebody.
- 1:14:33Speaker 3: Here would love this, and it's sports related. I'm not
- 1:14:38Speaker 3: giving any hints.
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: Is it a cyber truck?
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: It is not be nice, but it's pretty cool and
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: I can't wait to give it. It'll be a random
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: gift number two next week to one of the one
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: of the show people here. And I just saw Kevin's
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: and I wasn't like, I'm gonna spend this much, but
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: this one definitely costs a.
- 1:14:56Speaker 3: Lot more than Kevin's.
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: Dang, but it wasn't about the cost. I don't want
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: you to be offended slightly. Okay, did you do your final?
- 1:15:04Speaker 4: Yea Red did his?
- 1:15:06Speaker 3: Okay. I think that's it.
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: I hope you guys have a great day. Follow us

- 1:15:15Speaker 3: No, all right, that's crazy.
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: We can't find out where this thing is. Did you
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: see it, Eddie?
- 1:15:25Speaker 3: No, now, let me see if you have a picture
- 1:15:27Speaker 3: of it. Yeah. Oh that's sharp. That's real sharp, way
- 1:15:32Speaker 3: better than the silver. Yeah right, yeah. And they painted.
