- 0:06[SPEAKER_00]: What's up everyone?
- 0:07[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome in to do all daily.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jack McFall.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: Hope everyone's having a good day.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: How could you not after the jack's stunned the cheese at home?
- 0:14[SPEAKER_00]: I'm wondering if football and don't look now, but your Jacksonville Jaguars are four and one.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: really should be 5-0 but you know that's it neither who are under there but yeah such an incredible game you know the the bank was packed you could fuel the passion you know the crowd roars the players getting hyped even to the point where apparently coach Cohen said he had to tell some of them to relax a little pregame which is pretty funny but yeah I mean just such a second
- 0:45[SPEAKER_00]: it's such an awesome win for the Jaguars, you know, to play the NFL's dynasty team on Monday night with the whole football world watching and pull off what they did, just incredible.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_00]: So let's get into some of the numbers and the good and maybe not so good coming out of this thriller against Casey.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: So I started out last week by talking about penalties.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_00]: and how much of an issue they are becoming.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_00]: The Jax at 12 except the penalties we go.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_00]: and most of the days the chiefs four they had four so much improved you know so much more discipline which was something that was so important in this win.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_00]: Two of the penalties were some pre-snat misheues that of it into a little bit more later but yeah I mean having 12 penalties in the game and winning is not sustainable at all.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_00]: obviously you're referring to that nine years game and it's especially not sustainable when you play against teams that are you know the caliber of the chiefs or those good teams so you don't prove that so drastically over eight days is something that can't be overlooked and uh
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, so shout out to the coaching, I think it was a massive reason why the jigs were able to pull off this one Looking into some of the offensive numbers and some of the stuff that I think could have been better on my side of the ball Starts off with a protection Three sacks for the chiefs on Trevor Lawrence, which is the most hijacks are given up in a sound game this year Actually doubled there, she's in total, which was three ago in the game, so
- 2:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it was offensive lines of worst game in the year for sure, which is I guess kind of you know understandable and probably could have been predicted going into the game.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_00]: Considering that matchup with guys like Chris Jones, George Carloftus, just overall that.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_00]: Steve Spagnolo defense and it's unique looks and ways to generate that pressure.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: I would still say the line didn't play that bad.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: You know, at least one of those sacks were on Trevor where he kind of ran into the pressure and and took it so I don't want to act like they played horrible because they didn't.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_00]: But it's still an area that I think needs to be highlighted coming out of this game that wasn't back great, you know, they could have been better.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_00]: No political shifts yesterday, which I feel like is a win in itself, but the two delay games were a problem.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: One of them coming on that game when they drive, you know, it can't happen.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: And it's hard to pinpoint why it keeps happening.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_00]: I think, you know, theme cones offense is
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: very pre-snat heavy with motions and shifts and calls, which definitely contributes to that.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't think Trevor's helping the case, which is interesting.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's something that's kind of gone under the radar among fans, is how he's not delivering a wristband this year to call the players in the auto.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: And I think it kind of reflects the times.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_00]: You know, when the offense
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know, I don't know if that's the main thing they should look into, but those presnap issues just continues to show up and big ways every game and you know, that that's something that you hope gets better as the season goes on.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: I think it will, but right now it is still there and still needs to be fixed.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_00]: So now for some positives coming out of the game for the offense.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: 10 carries for 54 yards and 2 touchdowns from him.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: Love the team on the ground and I really think, you know, his ability to use that athleticism and size to pick up those chunks of yards should be used more as the season goes on.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: I've been saying this since the start of the season that I would love to see some, you know, design QB runs and we saw a few last night, although a lot of those came on design past plays and he actually broke his record for scrumbles in the game, but
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: If you go back to college and honestly even his best games as a pro, he excels on the run, you know, using his legs, whether that be on maybe like a bootleg play action or a design run, I mean if you go back and watch his best games of the clubs and every single one of those, he was using that athleticism and you know, I really hope to see more of it as season goes on because it's a weapon it really is.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_00]: Another quick positive I want to note coming out of the offense is the big plays that Travis Hunter and Brad Thomas were part of.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: Both massive catches that that really I think changed the outcome of the game obviously the brine Thomas won but as well as the Travis 101 101 for 44 on the one catch, Thomas went for 33 and You know, I think if the offense wants to reach that max potential that we haven't really seen yet
- 6:17[SPEAKER_00]: we're going to need to see more of that.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to need to see more of those shots down field, use the speed, use the ball skills, especially with Travis Hunter and he's got ball skills that I don't think anyone else on the team has.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: So seeing more of that, yeah, it's going to be huge and hopefully we do see more of that as time goes on.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: You know, running some defensive numbers, I think this was for sure the defense is worse game of the year.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_00]: You could say the Bengals, but I think this definitely was worse.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_00]: They're definitely worse in points in the game, really all game to be honest with you.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_00]: It felt like the Chiefs can kind of just do whatever they wanted and it would work.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_00]: They had 476 total yards of offense.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_00]: and I would just 7.6 yards of play.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I mean, that's not great.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_00]: And no sex for the jacks, which was bad and not much pressure at all, really, which I think, you know, no trip on Walker impacted that.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: I think Mahalmas was very good at getting the ball out fast.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: He's always been good at that, but just like the quick decision go, make the throw.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: So that definitely was part of it too, but yeah, overall pretty poor game.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_00]: And even the run defense, which has been a massive strength.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: was pretty bad.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_00]: 7.2 a carryover off of the shoes, among all their rushers.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: So that needs to be better.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: I understand it's Andy Reed, it's Patrick Mahomes.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_00]: It's, I mean, that's as good as it gets, not even in the league now, but you could say all the time.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: That's as good as it gets.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_00]: So, you can't understand it, but I think it's a game to learn.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: For Coach Camp and not whole unit.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: But hey, you know, came out with the wind.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, everything's better when you win.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: So, the only real positive I could think of in terms of the defense for this game.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure you can imagine it's definitely 99 yards on that pic sex.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_00]: To completely flip the script of that game,
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: Long as PIXX for a linebacker since the 1940s, you know, he stepped in, fake the rush, may contact with offensive alignment, step back, red homed size, and made that sick play to build up the defense and run it 99 yards, just incredible, really.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_00]: I mean,
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: And even just watching that play, seeing Josh Hines Allen, Austin Johnson, like these guys, just run down the field of the block for him too.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: It was awesome.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: It was such an awesome play.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: I can't even describe how awesome that play was.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_00]: So definitely now it is first in intercepted as the NFL.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_00]: has the highest pressure rate for linebackers of the NFL.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: He's just played out of his mind on a contract here.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: So, I mean, to me, and I think to everyone, he's an early defensive player that you're a candidate.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_00]: Um, yeah, I mean, just unbelievable stuff from him so far throughout these five games.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_00]: And that play 100% is one of the best plays in Jaguars history, in my opinion.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_00]: If you will get it in terms of the opponent, the point of the game, prime time, it's awesome, awesome stuff.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: And then finally looking at special teams, you know, there's not a hole it's talk about in terms of good or bad, I don't think.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Camelittle made it only fuel goal from 52, which obviously is good, he's missed a few kicks, so that was nice to see, and he was 44 in extra points.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: So I mean, that's, you know, that's great.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: We'll quit Alan, had a few decent returns, but nothing too crazy.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: I think I've noticed that teams are not kicking it to visual tune on the kick-offs, and I think that's probably intentional with that speedy as.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: And he had the big return last week, it was.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: He had the big return, so probably going to see a lot of the coin out on the returns, which is fine, but yeah, that's just nothing I noticed.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: In terms of like kickoff coverage and punk coverage, it was fine.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they had the one six-year-art return that was called back due to holding.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, no harm, no foul.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_00]: It is what it is.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_00]: The 13 except penalty penalties for the chiefs, by the way, which is wild, that is wild.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so, I mean, overall, a solid game for special teams and our complaints, they played a game that it is, but it is, so yeah, I mean, what a win, what a win, such a fun game to watch.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_00]: Probably such a fun game to be at, you know, I wish I could have been there, just that energy.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_00]: Man, I can't, awesome, awesome stuff.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: And it's not gonna get easier in these coming weeks for this team.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's got the socks at home.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_00]: Great team, great offense, great weapons and don't want some playing, great.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_00]: And you got the Rams and London who are one of the better teams and then I've seen definitely in my eyes as we were more contender, they're awesome.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_00]: They're really going to have to keep the jacks, we're going to have to keep our fun on the gas if they want to keep this out, keep this winning up, keep pushing forward.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, awesome week.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you all so much for tuning in.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_00]: Enjoy the victory week.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's definitely a sweet one.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, go jacks.
