- 6:52cost significantly less than the brand -name
- 6:55alternatives, yet transparency remains an issue.
- 7:00In business news... An entrepreneur, Jeremy Gulbin,
- 7:05is tackling the daunting challenge of revitalizing
- 7:08local news through his ownership of 92 community
- 7:12newspapers across the United States. Facing issues
- 7:16such as tariffs, skepticism towards print media,
- 7:20and competition from podcasts, he has found that
- 7:23many of his papers are losing money. While at
- 7:26his company, Sherry Road Media saw $30 million
- 7:30in revenue last year, profitability remains elusive.
- 7:34Gulben's goal is to foster community connections
- 7:37through journalism, despite struggling to hire
- 7:40reporters. As local newspapers close, he remains
- 7:44committed to finding solutions, believing that

- 8:57Let's talk tech. Cloudflare is introducing a
- 9:01new tool called AI Labyrinth to combat web scraping
- 9:04bots. Instead of blocking these crawlers, the
- 9:08company invites them to navigate through a web
- 9:10of useless, AI -generated pages designed to slow
- 9:15down, confuse, and waste resources. Cloudflare
- 9:19reports handling over 50 billion web crawler
- 9:22requests daily and aims to outsmart malicious
- 9:25bots by leading them into a trap of fake data.
- 9:29Website administrators can opt in through the
- 9:32bot management section of their Cloudflare dashboard.
- 9:35This is just the beginning of Cloudflare's efforts
- 9:38to use generative AI to thwart bots effectively.
- 9:44And in entertainment news, in a surprising turn,
- 9:49Jason Statham's action thriller, A Working Man,
- 9:52led the box office with $15 ,200 ,000 in its
- 9:57opening weekend. Directed by David Ayer, the
- 10:01film dethroned Disney's Snow White, which dropped
- 10:04over 66 % in its second week, earning $14 ,200
- 10:09,000. Snow White has made $66 .8 million domestically,
- 10:17but with a budget exceeding $250 million, it
- 10:21faces challenges ahead. Competing for family
- 10:25audiences next weekend is the Warner Bros. adaptation.
- 10:28a Minecraft movie. Overall, box office revenues
- 10:33remain sluggish, lagging behind previous years.
- 10:37Well, alrighty folks, it's time for the quote
- 10:41of the day. And today, our quote comes from the
- 10:44American author and activist, Helen Keller. And
- 10:48she said, Optimism is the faith that leads to
- 10:53achievement. Nothing can be done without hope
- 10:56and confidence. And that's a wrap for this morning.
