Speaker 1: Find a nice comfortable place to sit, or maybe lie down,
• 0:30
maybe in your own bedroom. Allow your eyes to gently close,
• 0:38
and just focus on your breathing and just let all
• 0:43
your troubles just float away. So take a deep breath
• 0:51
into your nose and slowly and gently breathe out through
• 0:58
your mouth. Take another deep breath in and slowly and
• 1:09
gently breathe out through your mouth. One last time, deep
• 1:18
breath in and slowly and gently breathe out through your mouth.
• 1:29
I just bring your breathing back to its normal rhythm
• 1:34
and relax, letting all your thoughts just drift away. Now,
• 1:44
imagine yourself sitting in a huge football stadium right at
• 1:50
the end of the pitch. The sky is a beautiful
• 1:55
blue and there's hardly any clouds at all, and the
• 1:59
sun is its highest, and there are thousands of people
• 2:04
all around him. The stadium is very full. Well it
• 2:10
would be. It is, after all the Cup final. We
• 2:17
look out onto the pitch. When you see a football
• 2:20
match in full swing, the players are running up and
• 2:23
down the field, passing the ball to each other, all
• 2:26
of them trying to get the ball off the other
• 2:29
team and trying so desperately to win the match. And
• 2:33
bring the cup home. And you see that on the
• 2:37
backs of the players' shirts is their number and the
• 2:42
name of their team. One team is called the Growny Bears.
• 2:48
The other team it's called the Chicky Monkeys. How hod
• 2:52
you've never heard names like that before, especially for football teams. Well,
• 2:58
the reason the teams have those odd names is because
• 3:01
of their mascots. The Growley Bears mascot is a preat
• 3:05
big brown bear who keeps growling every time the other
• 3:09
teams score a girl. He does not like that very much.
• 3:14
The Chicken Monkeys mascot is a large black monkey with
• 3:19
brown patches on them, and he is very cheeky. He
• 3:23
keeps pulling tongues at the Growley Bears, trying to put
• 3:26
them off their game. That's not very nice, is it.
• 3:31
But it is very exciting watching the match. The atmosphere
• 3:35
is amazing and you can smell hot dogs and popcorn
• 3:39
and it's making you feel a bit hungry too. But
• 3:42
there are people everywhere. Some of them are waving their
• 3:48
teams starves high in the air. Some of them are
• 3:51
just shouting telling the teams who to pass the ball to,
• 3:56
and some of them are just singing. Very loudly cheering
• 3:59
the t and you love it. Here as you are
• 4:05
sitting so close to the pitch, there are Growley Bear
• 4:09
team members sitting in front of him, and there is
• 4:13
a little boy who is sitting on the bench dressed
• 4:16
in the team colors. And he turns to you and
• 4:19
he grins. He tells you his name is Jake and
• 4:24
that he is a substitute for his team. He tells
• 4:28
you he is waiting for a chance to get on
• 4:30
the pitch and play, and he says he's been waiting
• 4:34
for a very long time now, but he is ready
• 4:37
for when he's called upon. The two of you have
• 4:41
a little chat together whilst watching the game. You are
• 4:44
both so excited because it looks like the Growley Bears
• 4:47
are winning. The score is to one, and the Growley
• 4:51
Bears fans are shouting very loudly egging their team on.
• 4:55
And just as you both think your team is going
• 4:59
to win, one of the Chicky Monkey's players gets the
• 5:03
ball and dribbles all the way up the field, but
• 5:07
your team can't catch him. He is so fast. Then
• 5:11
he stops, he aims his shoots and the ball fires
• 5:15
thunderously into the back of the net. The crowd roars
• 5:19
were delight. The Chicky Monkeys all jump on the airs
• 5:22
and start hugging each other. They have just eamed up
• 5:26
the score. Oh no, it's now to all. Jake looks
• 5:34
very disappointed, as it's the cup final. He really really
• 5:39
wanted his team to take home that precious cup. The
• 5:44
match resumes with both teams trying desperately to score the
• 5:49
winning goal. Then suddenly the revereree blows his whistle. It's
• 5:55
nearly the end of the game and one of the
• 5:58
Browny Bears team members has taken a knock. He was
• 6:02
tripped up by a cheeky Monkey's player. It's a foul,
• 6:09
but there is only four minutes left of the game
• 6:11
to play, and you can see a discussion going on
• 6:14
on the field between the ref and the players. The
• 6:18
team's managers enter the pitch and join in with the talks.
• 6:23
Then they all turn to look at Jake. The manager
• 6:28
walks over to Jake and tells him this is his chance.
• 6:33
He has been selected to take the place of the
• 6:36
injured player. Jake is ecstatic. He is so happy, and
• 6:42
you are so happy for him because you know what
• 6:44
it means to him. Jake runs onto the field and
• 6:50
joins his team members. They talked to Jake and then
• 6:55
they too turn to look at you. They need another player,
• 7:00
so Jake said that he wants you to play too.
• 7:03
You are over the moon. You get up and go
• 7:08
on to the field, and suddenly you have the same
• 7:12
kit on that Jake has. It just appeared on you
• 7:15
like magic. You are so happy. The game starts up
• 7:21
again with only four minutes left. One of the players
• 7:27
passes the ball to you when you run with it,
• 7:30
and as you run towards the goal, you look for
• 7:33
a player who is open, and you see the Jake is,
• 7:37
but he is further away than you thought. So you
• 7:40
dribble past another man and then play a perfect through
• 7:44
ball over to Jake. Jake receives the ball and bombs
• 7:50
towards the opposition goal. The goalkeeper is ready for him, though,
• 7:54
and comes rushing out towards Jake at great speed, and
• 7:57
there is now only one minute left before the whistle blows.
• 8:02
Jake composes himself and as the keeper approaches him, he
• 8:07
chips the ball delightfully over the goalkeeper's head. Everyone holds
• 8:11
their breath, including you. The ball sails through the air.
• 8:16
It seems like it's in slow motion. Then the ball
• 8:21
nettles into the back of the net. Water go. The
• 8:25
crowd go wild, that is cheering and singing. The players
• 8:29
all run to Jake just as the final whistle blows.
• 8:32
The Growley Bears have won. They have won the cup
• 8:36
final and the cup is coming home. Yes, the other
• 8:42
players pick up Jake and raise him high on their shoulders,
• 8:47
and some of them come for you and raise you
• 8:49
up to After all, it was you who provided the
• 8:53
wonderful assist for Jake. Without the two of you playing,
• 8:58
they probably would have lost the match. Your team all
• 9:04
lines up to receive the cup and the captain of
• 9:07
the team holds it high for the crowd to see
• 9:10
and they row with delight. Then each team member receives
• 9:15
a golden medal that they get to take home with them. Wow,
• 9:20
your very own golden medal. You all head back to
• 9:26
the locker room to get changed and to go to
• 9:29
the aftermatch party. So for just a little while, you
• 9:34
get to hang out with Jake and his teammates. You
• 9:37
get to talk to all the other players, the manager,
• 9:40
the coach, and best of a war. You and Jake
• 9:45
get to eat as much as you want especially the cakes,
• 9:49
the sweet and the ice creams. So go and have
• 9:53
some fun at the party, chatter any one you want
• 9:58
  and relift the glory.
• 10:27
  Speaker 2: U s.
• 12:05
Speaker 1: Now that the party is coming to an end. It's
• 12:10
time for you to return home. So you talk to
• 12:14
Jake and you thank him for letting you play on
• 12:17
his team. You are so happy to have met Jake.
• 12:22
He is a wonderful, kind and loving little boy. He's
• 12:27
also a very very good football player, and you just
• 12:32
know that the two of you will be best friends forever.
• 12:40
Jake tells you that any time you want, you can
• 12:44
come back and play football with all of them. After all,
• 12:50
you too assisted in scoring the winning goal, didn't you.
• 12:55
You say goodbye to Jake and the rest of the
• 12:57
players and start your journey back home, and pretty soon
• 13:04
you are back in your own room and you are
• 13:08
absolutely exhausted, and let's be fair, you have had a
• 13:13
very busy day. You put on your pajamas and climb
• 13:19
into your own bed, and you think about Jake and
• 13:24
how amazing he is. He is the best football player
• 13:28
you have ever seen, and he is your friend. You
• 13:35
close your weary eyes and settle down, and you take
• 13:40
a deep breath, in through your nose and gently blow
• 13:47
it out from your mouth. You take another deep breath
• 13:57
and gently blow it out from your your mouth. And
• 14:03
it's now that you feel a gentle wave of sleepiness
• 14:08
starting at your feet, and you can feel your toes
• 14:12
going to sleep, and it feels all warm and tingling
• 14:16
and ever so soft. And you feel a soothing, gentle
• 14:22
wave of sleepiness coming up your calves and your shins,
• 14:28
and you can feel it going all the way up
• 14:30
your thighs, and you think your legs have already gone
• 14:34
to sleep. But you feel so tired now, so sleepy,
• 14:39
but so very happy. You don't want to open your
• 14:44
eyes now, you just want to rest them. This beautiful
• 14:49
wave of sleepiness travels all the way up your body,
• 14:55
down your arms, and then into your hands, making your body.
• 15:01
Speaker 3: Feel very very heavy, very very tired, and very very sleepy.
• 15:13
Speaker 1: This gentle, warm wave of sleepiness travels up your face
• 15:19
and over the top of your head and then down
• 15:23
the back of your neck. Oh, you feel so tired
• 15:27
though so sleepy. You give a big yawn. You feel
• 15:35
so very peaceful now, so relaxed, so relaxed, and so
• 15:42
very very sleepy. You just want to sleep so you
• 15:51
drift off into a peaceful night's sleep, dreaming of Jake
• 15:57
and the Growley Bears, and remember you are safe, you
• 16:05
are loved, and you are protected.
• 16:10
  Speaker 4: Always us.
