- 20261022 071515: Hello friends, today I'm recording the podcast from my husband's favorite place, our garage. And this is his sports car. He loves working on the car. And every time he works on the car, he keeps saying this is the last improvement. And I never believed him. Because there's always another thing. whenever he does all these kinds of maintenance on our cars, he's like the chef and I'm like the sous chef. I help him with the tools, hold the light, and occasionally keep asking why we cannot take it to the dealership or a mechanic. This time he picked up a little bit more complex project. He had to put a crank hub cover and replace a couple of belts. Initially, we thought it was. Simple, but as we continued on the job, it became more and more complex. We were missing tools, we were missing torque wrench bits that was not even available in any of the shops. We had to order it online and wait for it to arrive. And not just that, sometimes we had to undo our previous steps so that we could do the next step. There was a point in time when I totally gave up. I just wanted to take it to a mechanic and get it fixed. But he would not give up. He continued his research, came up with alternate ways of doing things, and finally the car was ready for a test trial. He was so happy. And I was so proud of him. That's when I realized, for me, I wanted to get the car fixed. But for him, he wanted to know he could fix the car. Those are two different things. He was not trying to save dollars by not taking it to a mechanic or a dealership. He wanted to build the confidence that he could do the complex job. So here's the microboost for you today. Think about something that you're struggling to accomplish. And ask yourself, are you trying to finish the job or are you trying to learn how to do it yourself? Sometimes taking it to an expert may be rewarding. But other times learning itself is a part of the reward. Remember, small actions, big impact. Until we meet again next time, let's keep making impact together. Thank you.
