- 4:00Speaker 9: Thank you so much.
- 4:01Speaker 10: You'll have a great day.
- 4:02Speaker 1: It's three things you need to know.
- 4:04Speaker 3: You with the Elem Huey Town. You are getting a
- 4:07Speaker 3: new chick fil A in twenty twenty six. Everybody in
- 4:10Speaker 3: Hueytown wanted a Chick fil A because there's not one
- 4:12Speaker 3: in any town.
- 4:13Speaker 4: I didn't know there wasn't one.
- 4:14Speaker 6: This is like the whole news.
- 4:16Speaker 3: It's going to be an Alison Bonnett memorial Drive. It's
- 4:18Speaker 3: expected to open in the fall of twenty twenty six,
- 4:21Speaker 3: so you got a little bit of time, but you
- 4:23Speaker 3: are going to be getting your very own chick fil A.
- 4:25Speaker 3: You don't have to drive over to another town. One
- 4:28Speaker 3: fourth of us workers prefer root Canal to going to
- 4:31Speaker 3: an office holiday party. That is so sad, honestly, that's
- 4:38Speaker 3: me this one.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Look.
- 4:39Speaker 3: There are some fun holiday office parties where they give
- 4:41Speaker 3: employees money in open bar, and then there's our office
- 4:44Speaker 3: holiday party where we just work longer and we all
- 4:48Speaker 3: have to cook food and bring it in with the money.
- 4:51Speaker 3: We don't have to buy the food anyway. The survey
- 4:54Speaker 3: just came out with the results. And it's not just
- 4:56Speaker 3: the holiday party. Forty percent of people said they would
- 4:58Speaker 3: rather go to the dentist than social lies with their
- 5:00Speaker 3: boss after hours. Man, people just hate their jobs and
- 5:06Speaker 3: their boss. And there, okay, our boss wanted us after
- 5:09Speaker 3: we got off work, and he said, hey, I'm not
- 5:11Speaker 3: gonna let you go home yet. Why don't you come
- 5:12Speaker 3: hang out with me before you go home. You're gonna
- 5:15Speaker 3: do it?
- 5:15Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm not.
- 5:17Speaker 6: I got farm chores to do.
- 5:19Speaker 3: I've already given you eight hours of my day, ain't
- 5:21Speaker 3: given you another one? Are you stringing up your Christmas tree? Wrong?
- 5:25Speaker 6: With the lights?
- 5:26Speaker 3: Most of us?
- 5:27Speaker 6: How do you do it? Do you wrap it around
- 5:28Speaker 6: the tree?
- 5:31Speaker 5: It just depends. I do different ways, not always like that.
- 5:34Speaker 5: Sometimes I'd like to put it, just go up and
- 5:36Speaker 5: down with it.
- 5:36Speaker 3: So the experts say that's the way to do it.
- 5:39Speaker 3: They say the real magic happens when the strands weren't
- 5:41Speaker 3: run vertically from top to bottom, because it gives the
- 5:45Speaker 3: tree smoother coverage, it uses fewer lights, and it spares
- 5:48Speaker 3: you the tangled mess when it's time to take the
- 5:50Speaker 3: lights off.
- 5:51Speaker 4: Yes, I agree, that's.
- 5:53Speaker 3: How the pros say do it.
- 5:54Speaker 6: I never knew that I've always wrapped it around the
- 5:56Speaker 6: Christmas tree.
- 5:57Speaker 5: I've no one ever taught me that. It's just it
- 5:59Speaker 5: always worked better for me, so I just did it.
- 6:01Speaker 6: That's three things you need to know.
- 6:02Speaker 3: More at Thealabama Show dot com.
- 6:05Speaker 7: The Alabama Show on demand's free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 6:08Speaker 3: All I know is the other day Producer Blake was
- 6:11Speaker 3: running late and he.
- 6:12Speaker 6: Was like, it's the ghost fault.
- 6:14Speaker 3: I think I have a ghost.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Have one.
- 6:18Speaker 4: I'm fairly certain.
- 6:19Speaker 6: By the way, thanks for listening to the Alabama Show.
- 6:21Speaker 6: I'm Alabama with Producer Blake.
- 6:23Speaker 3: What's it doing hitting your snooze button?
- 6:25Speaker 5: Uh? No, So there's multiple things going on. When nobody's
- 6:28Speaker 5: at the house. I hear footsteps up above me because
- 6:31Speaker 5: I live in the basement, right, and.
- 6:33Speaker 3: Then Producer Blake lives in a house with three other guys. Correct, Okay,
- 6:37Speaker 3: are you sure nobody was there?
- 6:39Speaker 4: Yes, Okay, all the.
- 6:40Speaker 5: Cars were gone. Nobody was there. They were all out
- 6:43Speaker 5: of town.
- 6:43Speaker 6: Okay, So there's footsteps, there's.
- 6:46Speaker 5: Footsteps, there's doors creaking. I lock my door every night
- 6:49Speaker 5: and I'm scared to death, and so I wake up
- 6:53Speaker 5: every morning and sometimes my alarm will be turned down.
- 6:55Speaker 5: Really low, and I check it every night, turn it
- 6:57Speaker 5: up all the way, and so I'm good. Some mornings
- 7:00Speaker 5: it's turned down all the way. I'm like, what is
- 7:02Speaker 5: going on?
- 7:03Speaker 3: So you're telling me the ghost is turning your alarm
- 7:06Speaker 3: down and going Producer Blake, well, you're gonna stay here
- 7:12Speaker 3: in the basement with me.
- 7:14Speaker 5: So according to Lure, they can mess with electronics, right,
- 7:19Speaker 5: that's a that's a thing that ghost can do. And
- 7:22Speaker 5: sometimes I'll get like a phone call but not from
- 7:25Speaker 5: a number, and it's really weird.
- 7:27Speaker 3: What is the phone call? What does it look like?
- 7:29Speaker 3: Just a blank?
- 7:30Speaker 4: It's just blank.
- 7:31Speaker 5: It says unknown.
- 7:32Speaker 4: And then I go back and look at my.
- 7:34Speaker 3: Mis caps it says unknown. That's spam.
- 7:36Speaker 4: Hold on.
- 7:36Speaker 5: And then I'll go back and look at miss calls.
- 7:38Speaker 4: It's not there.
- 7:40Speaker 5: So I like, you know, I get creeped out when
- 7:42Speaker 5: it only happens at the house.
- 7:43Speaker 3: So you have a ghost that is first off, I
- 7:46Speaker 3: wouldn't live in a basement. Second, but Producer Blake has
- 7:50Speaker 3: a ghosts that is turning his alarm down in the
- 7:55Speaker 3: morning and calling his phone.
- 7:57Speaker 5: And it walks around the house, closes doors, and it
- 8:02Speaker 5: like the whole house just has this creepy aur when
- 8:04Speaker 5: no one's there. I get very spooked when I'm by
- 8:07Speaker 5: myself at the house.
- 8:09Speaker 6: Have you talked to your roommates about this?
- 8:11Speaker 3: No?
- 8:11Speaker 5: Because I want them to confirm it, so we bring
- 8:17Speaker 5: some ghost hunters. Genuinely, it's in the basement.
- 8:22Speaker 3: It's not just a us. I'm getting you a Wiji
- 8:24Speaker 3: board for christ I'm.
- 8:25Speaker 4: Not using a Oiji board.
- 8:26Speaker 6: Call the show. Is your house Haunted? Eight three thirty
- 8:29Speaker 6: five I one Bama?
- 8:30Speaker 4: I think mine is?
- 8:32Speaker 6: Eight three three five one two two six two The.
- 8:36Speaker 7: Alabama Show on demand free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 8:40Speaker 3: Eight three thirty five I one Bama is the number
- 8:42Speaker 3: to call the show because, let me get this right,
- 8:44Speaker 3: Producer Blake, the ghost in your house is turning the
- 8:46Speaker 3: volume on your alarm down correct and calling your phone
- 8:50Speaker 3: from No. Number Yes, and steps upstairs on both of you.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Good morning? Who's this?
- 8:56Speaker 9: Hey?
- 8:56Speaker 5: Good morning?
- 8:57Speaker 3: Are you calling to get Producer Blake a hard time
- 8:59Speaker 3: about the ghost that's turning his alarm off every morning?
- 9:02Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 9:02Speaker 9: I am so this is the reason Blake is late
- 9:05Speaker 9: to work because he's haunted?
- 9:08Speaker 3: Yes?
- 9:09Speaker 11: Is it the ghost dog?
- 9:11Speaker 3: Also with his homework?
- 9:12Speaker 1: I mean, what do we gotta I didn't do.
- 9:14Speaker 3: My show prep because the ghosts. My show prep is
- 9:17Speaker 3: the ghost.
- 9:22Speaker 11: You use that with the least too.
- 9:25Speaker 3: Oh are you there? But I think we lost you.
- 9:28Speaker 3: I think the ghost just glitched the phone out.
- 9:30Speaker 5: The ghost.
- 9:32Speaker 10: Okay, my gris.
- 9:36Speaker 1: The Alabama show on to me.
- 9:38Speaker 7: It's amazing free on the iHeartRadio app eight.
- 9:41Speaker 3: Three thirty five, I one Bama is the number. Kelly,
- 9:44Speaker 3: good morning. I know you have a ghost story. Is
- 9:47Speaker 3: your house haunted?
- 9:48Speaker 10: No?
- 9:49Speaker 11: But years ago my cousins were older than me, and
- 9:52Speaker 11: they lived in Jasper, Okay, and they always told us
- 9:56Speaker 11: about this place called Krabb how Baby Hollow.
- 9:59Speaker 3: I've heard about this.
- 10:00Speaker 10: It was on this too.
- 10:02Speaker 9: Have you ever heard of it?
- 10:03Speaker 6: Tell me what happens, Tell me all about it.
- 10:05Speaker 11: We went there late at night. It's on a too late,
- 10:09Speaker 11: yes it is. And it's in a dip and a day.
- 10:12Speaker 11: We pulled off the side like a like a hollow
- 10:15Speaker 11: you know where you go down.
- 10:17Speaker 3: Yeah, deeper than the hall, Yeah, the road, I get you, yeah.
- 10:20Speaker 11: Yeah, deep in the holler. But anyway, we're pulled off
- 10:23Speaker 11: the side of the road and it has to be
- 10:25Speaker 11: a windy night to hear this. And so they rolled
- 10:28Speaker 11: down our windows and the wind was blowing. It was
- 10:30Speaker 11: real creepy coming through the car and you could hear
- 10:33Speaker 11: the baby cry, Oh my god, Oh my god. And
- 10:38Speaker 11: so when we got back to grandma's we were telling
- 10:41Speaker 11: her all about it. She said, oh my god, she said,
- 10:43Speaker 11: that's two trees that's breaking in the winds. Had us
- 10:49Speaker 11: be like like screaming and crying. We thought we heard
- 10:52Speaker 11: something really good.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Oh my goodness, girl. Well I'm glad you survived. I
- 10:58Speaker 3: know I've been to jazz, but there's there's much scarier
- 11:01Speaker 3: things than jasper than babies crying in the woods.
- 11:04Speaker 6: But that was a big deal.
- 11:05Speaker 12: We were.
- 11:06Speaker 11: They were like seventeen eighteen, and we were like seven,
- 11:09Speaker 11: Oh my goodness, don't.
- 11:11Speaker 4: Let your grandmother lie to you. That was a baby.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:16Speaker 11: The story was a girl went out there and had
- 11:19Speaker 11: her baby and just left it. That was a backstory
- 11:21Speaker 11: they told us, and that was freaky on its own. Well,
- 11:25Speaker 11: her Ducer Blake, the reason you're having all that power
- 11:28Speaker 11: surge and stuff is because you're in the basement where
- 11:31Speaker 11: all the power lines are down under the ground.
- 11:34Speaker 3: Yeah, buddy, guys, you're just in the.
- 11:39Speaker 12: Cut.
- 11:40Speaker 5: Okay, okay, okay, what about the footsteps above me. Is
- 11:44Speaker 5: that the because of the power line?
- 11:45Speaker 3: Suit, No, that's just because you've been it ain't creaking,
- 11:49Speaker 3: it's walking. It's an old hat.
- 11:51Speaker 5: That's it.
- 11:51Speaker 3: You've just been playing for it. Not too long here
- 11:54Speaker 3: on computer right now.
- 11:55Speaker 6: It's just anyway, thank you for calling. Yeah, all right,

- 12:12Speaker 9: a guy. We were at my grandparents' house.
- 12:16Speaker 11: Uh huh, And it was late at night.
- 12:18Speaker 9: We was watching Star Wars and he says, I thought
- 12:21Speaker 9: you said we were alone. I said, we are darlings.
- 12:23Speaker 9: He said, well, who's the old man in overalls in
- 12:26Speaker 9: the hallway.
- 12:27Speaker 1: Oh?
- 12:27Speaker 9: I said, well no, I said that my grandfather. He said,
- 12:32Speaker 9: I thought you said he was dead. I said he is.
- 12:35Speaker 9: We broke up the next day.
- 12:37Speaker 3: Girl, I would have been like, I don't know what
- 12:40Speaker 3: you're talking about. So does your granddad just come hang
- 12:44Speaker 3: out on your dates often?
- 12:46Speaker 9: Or this is back when I was seventeen. I'm forty
- 12:49Speaker 9: seven now, so, but there's been other instances at our house.

- 17:46Speaker 3: Okay, I don't know if this is good news anymore.
- 17:52Speaker 3: I call the show if you have good news.
- 17:54Speaker 6: Eight three three five one Bama is the number.
- 17:57Speaker 1: You're listening to The Alabama Show on to me.
- 18:00Speaker 3: I have this problem and it's involved my neighbors now
- 18:03Speaker 3: and I need help. Is it called you being there? Kinda?
- 18:08Speaker 6: By the way, thanks for listening to the Alabama Show.
- 18:11Speaker 6: I'm Alabama with producer Blake.
- 18:12Speaker 3: I got pet peacocks for my birthday earlier this year.
- 18:15Speaker 3: I know this, and then I inherited like ten more.
- 18:18Speaker 3: I have ten peacocks now correct. They've been going to
- 18:22Speaker 3: my neighbor's house every day to eat their deer corn.
- 18:26Speaker 3: Every day. She sends me a text. They go at
- 18:28Speaker 3: six o'clock in the morning. As soon as they jump
- 18:31Speaker 3: out of the trees they will. And this isn't like
- 18:33Speaker 3: just next door, this is three houses down. Their house
- 18:36Speaker 3: is so far. When I go to that neighbor's house,
- 18:38Speaker 3: I drive there. So they're taking a road trip and
- 18:41Speaker 3: they all go and they eat their deer corn, and
- 18:44Speaker 3: then they come.
- 18:45Speaker 6: Back to my house and then they go back at
- 18:48Speaker 6: night for dinner.
- 18:49Speaker 3: And my male peacocks are tall enough to reach the
- 18:52Speaker 3: deer corn feeder and they knock the corn on the
- 18:54Speaker 3: ground so that the females can eat it. And they're
- 18:56Speaker 3: eating all their deer corn.
- 18:58Speaker 5: They're just going out to get you know what I'm
- 19:00Speaker 5: saying like, they're just smart birds.
- 19:03Speaker 3: It sounds like I know. And I was like, so
- 19:06Speaker 3: I was like, I'll start feeding them so that they'll
- 19:08Speaker 3: quit doing that. The other day I went outside and
- 19:11Speaker 3: it was like, come here, birds and feed them the
- 19:13Speaker 3: feet I get them, and they looked at me and
- 19:16Speaker 3: just kept going through the woods to go down to
- 19:18Speaker 3: the neighbor's house to take their little field trip. But
- 19:22Speaker 3: the thing is they do it so that they can
- 19:25Speaker 3: watch the deer and they have their own animals.
- 19:29Speaker 6: You buyer some more deer corn, I.
- 19:32Speaker 5: Think you need to pack up and leavesh your mouth.
- 19:36Speaker 5: But probably yeah, I think the courteous thing to do
- 19:40Speaker 5: would be like, here's a whole bag of deer corn,
- 19:43Speaker 5: and also get rid of your peacocks.
- 19:46Speaker 3: Well, it's what's so funny is I asked them if
- 19:48Speaker 3: they wanted some a few months ago, and they were like, no,
- 19:51Speaker 3: we're good. We don't need peacocks. We have enough animals,
- 19:53Speaker 3: and now they're going over there. And then the other night,
- 19:55Speaker 3: my neighbor called me because two of them went and
- 19:58Speaker 3: got on top of their chicken coop and stayed at
- 20:01Speaker 3: their house overnight.
- 20:02Speaker 5: So they're co parenting with you all the peacocks.
- 20:06Speaker 4: You got a co parent peacocks.
- 20:07Speaker 3: I don't know what to do. I was like, you
- 20:09Speaker 3: said you didn't want them, but you got them now.
- 20:11Speaker 3: But I know, though I'm not the only person that
- 20:14Speaker 3: has pets that go to other people's houses.
- 20:17Speaker 6: She's actually really good about it. She goes now.
- 20:18Speaker 3: I like watching them.
- 20:19Speaker 6: They're cool, and I have taken some deercorn.
- 20:22Speaker 3: You may not have this problem with peacocks, but do
- 20:24Speaker 3: you have a dog that goes and visits your neighbors
- 20:27Speaker 3: or like you know, some people will feed other people's cats.
- 20:32Speaker 5: Yeah, and then they have a temporary cat that doesn't
- 20:34Speaker 5: go home for months.
- 20:35Speaker 6: Absolutely call the show is that you ate? Three three
- 20:38Speaker 6: five oh one BAMA is the number. That's eight three
- 20:41Speaker 6: three five oh one two two six two.

- 21:28Speaker 12: See we have we have three big dogs and when

- 21:41Speaker 3: neighborhood animals know you've got the good food.
