SPEAKER_00: and takes us through October 23rd when the sun will enter Scorpio.

SPEAKER_00: I'll be going through a number of different transits, as usual, of course.

SPEAKER_00: But I'm going to try to stay a little more tightly focused.

SPEAKER_00: I guess you could say that I'm going to filter the overall experience of the month

SPEAKER_00: through the lens of the Venus retrograde cycle that has already started building.

SPEAKER_00: Because when I was prepping for this forecast and I was looking at the ephemeris

SPEAKER_00: the month ahead really does revolve around Venus retrograde.

SPEAKER_00: Our friend Venus is absolutely the star of the show this month.

SPEAKER_00: She will not be overlooked.

SPEAKER_00: And a lot of the other astrology happening during this time seems to feed

SPEAKER_00: As I said, Venus is really the star of the show this month.

SPEAKER_00: Why, you might ask?

SPEAKER_00: Well, she's going retrograde, yes, but it's not just about that.

SPEAKER_00: Because remember, we're talking about Libra season, and Libra is ruled by Venus.

SPEAKER_00: So whenever we're interpreting Libra season,

SPEAKER_00: Venus tells us something about how the themes of that season are likely to unfold.

SPEAKER_00: And this year Libra's ruler is in Scorpio and she's going to station retrograde

SPEAKER_00: during the season she herself rules.

SPEAKER_00: On October 3rd,

SPEAKER_00: Venus will stop moving forward at about eight and a half degrees of Scorpio

SPEAKER_00: and will begin moving retrograde or backwards.

SPEAKER_00: At least it looks to us from our vantage point like she's moving backwards.

SPEAKER_00: So Libra season,

SPEAKER_00: the season we traditionally associate with relationships and balance and reciprocity

SPEAKER_00: and cooperation and all the ways that we meet one another in our lives,

SPEAKER_00: is going to be less about more typical Libra-like things like harmony,

SPEAKER_00: you know, less about keeping the peace or simply wanting to make things pleasant.

SPEAKER_00: Then, you know, it would normally be with Venus in her own sign.

SPEAKER_00: she's going to want to dive much deeper into her relational territory

SPEAKER_00: and start pulling up the heavier,

SPEAKER_00: dare I say darker, more complicated stories and truths.

SPEAKER_00: Venus and Scorpio wants to get down to the ultimate truths of our relationships here.

SPEAKER_00: This isn't just about how you're getting along with your people or your person.

SPEAKER_00: It's more about what's actually happening underneath this relationship.

SPEAKER_00: What are the real dynamics underneath the surface here?

SPEAKER_00: Where are the imbalances that are present that need to be looked at?

SPEAKER_00: And I do want to say here that when I use the word relationship

SPEAKER_00: or relationships throughout this forecast,

SPEAKER_00: I am not talking only about romantic relationships.

SPEAKER_00: This can certainly include romance or marriage or life partnership,

SPEAKER_00: but it can also be a close friendship,

SPEAKER_00: a business relationship, a financial arrangement, a family relationship.

SPEAKER_00: or our choices become intertwined and enmeshed and maybe entangled

SPEAKER_00: I want to give you sort of the larger story arc

SPEAKER_00: because I think this is super interesting.

SPEAKER_00: This Venus retrograde is going to create a story that is going to unfold

SPEAKER_00: over two astrological seasons because during Libra season,

SPEAKER_00: Venus stations retrograde in Scorpio.

SPEAKER_00: And then during Scorpio season, Venus will station direct again in Libra.

SPEAKER_00: So there's this beautiful sign reversal happening.

SPEAKER_00: During Libra season,

SPEAKER_00: its ruling planet takes us into Scorpio,

SPEAKER_00: and then during Scorpio season, Venus takes us back into Libra.

SPEAKER_00: So again, this suggests that there's a process unfolding.

SPEAKER_00: Poetic things in astrology nearly always are part of a process.

SPEAKER_00: Scorpio asks us to go underneath the surface.

SPEAKER_00: It wants us to think about and talk about intimacy and vulnerability

SPEAKER_00: shared resources,

SPEAKER_00: and all of the things that happen when our lives become deeply intertwined

SPEAKER_00: And then Libra brings us back.

SPEAKER_00: Libra gets concerned with things like reciprocity, balance.

SPEAKER_00: What are the terms of this relationship?

SPEAKER_00: What do I need from another person?

SPEAKER_00: What am I willing to give in this relationship?

SPEAKER_00: And do the relationships and agreements in my life actually reflect what I value now?

SPEAKER_00: So I don't think we're necessarily going to get the entire answer

SPEAKER_00: during this Libra season, right?

SPEAKER_00: This is the beginning of a process that will carry us into Scorpio season and really

SPEAKER_00: through the remainder of the Venus retrograde cycle,

SPEAKER_00: which is going to be for the rest of the year, essentially.

SPEAKER_00: One way I think we could explain this is like,

SPEAKER_00: Before we are able to restore balance the way that Libra wants us to have balance,

SPEAKER_00: we may need to first understand what created any imbalances that exist in

SPEAKER_00: the first place, which Venus retrograde in Scorpio will show us.

SPEAKER_00: And I think that's a pretty good description of the journey we are embarking on now.

SPEAKER_00: Because Venus is going to be moving back and forth across the same territory for

SPEAKER_00: you know, Venus doesn't leave Scorpio and move into Sagittarius until January.

SPEAKER_00: with this retrograde rather than just forecasting it here and maybe in

SPEAKER_00: And you definitely do not need to go looking for evidence

SPEAKER_00: that Venus retrograde is doing something dramatic in your life.

SPEAKER_00: Many of us will feel this in ways that we cannot help but notice.

SPEAKER_00: Some people may not.

SPEAKER_00: Feel it as overtly.

SPEAKER_00: We're not going to be forcing the astrology to fit here.

SPEAKER_00: We'll notice when themes come up, when patterns come up.

SPEAKER_00: to actually keep track of it, let's go back to the beginning of Libra season.

SPEAKER_00: Because, of course, Venus isn't operating in isolation here.

SPEAKER_00: It's rare that anything ever is.

SPEAKER_00: There is some really interesting astrology building around Venus

SPEAKER_00: before it ever stations retrograde.

SPEAKER_00: And I think,

SPEAKER_00: you know,

SPEAKER_00: it helps to explain why this Venus retrograde is They have a little more weight

SPEAKER_00: to it than usual even.

SPEAKER_00: Okay, the Sun enters Libra on September 22nd,

SPEAKER_00: which is also the autumnal or fall equinox here in the Northern Hemisphere.

SPEAKER_00: It's of course the vernal or spring equinox for our friends south of the equator.

SPEAKER_00: Now, Libra is the cardinal air sign and it's ruled, as we said, by Venus.

SPEAKER_00: At its best, Libra teaches us how to consider perspectives beyond our own.

SPEAKER_00: It understands that life doesn't happen in isolation.

SPEAKER_00: We are not here on this earth in isolation.

SPEAKER_00: We live this life with other people.

SPEAKER_00: So we have to negotiate.

SPEAKER_00: We have to cooperate.

SPEAKER_00: We have to understand how our actions affect other people.

SPEAKER_00: And Libra is associated with balance,

SPEAKER_00: but I think sometimes we misunderstand what balance actually means.

SPEAKER_00: Balance doesn't necessarily mean that everybody is going to get the exact same thing

SPEAKER_00: or that everything turns out the same for everyone.

SPEAKER_00: And it also isn't meant to be about avoiding all disagreements so

SPEAKER_00: that everything stays pleasant.

SPEAKER_00: Although that can be one of the shadow sides of Libra.

SPEAKER_00: Sometimes balance requires adjustment Sometimes it requires recognizing

SPEAKER_00: that something has become unequal or something has become imbalanced.

SPEAKER_00: Sometimes it requires saying something that could

SPEAKER_00: or will temporarily disrupt harmony because the harmony

SPEAKER_00: that you thought was there was Wasn't true harmony in the first place.

SPEAKER_00: Maybe it was built on everyone avoiding the thing to play nice rather than on true consensus.

SPEAKER_00: And I think that's especially relevant right now because of what's happening

SPEAKER_00: with Venus in the coming weeks.

SPEAKER_00: But before Venus stations retrograde, we have another interesting piece of astrology.

SPEAKER_00: From September 25th through around the 28th, the Sun will be activating the outer planets.

SPEAKER_00: I wouldn't spend a lot of time in a monthly forecast talking

SPEAKER_00: about several different aspects made by the sun.

SPEAKER_00: The sun moves pretty quickly.

SPEAKER_00: So many of its aspects are more temporary.

SPEAKER_00: That doesn't mean they're less important.

SPEAKER_00: They're just temporary.

SPEAKER_00: But these are different,

SPEAKER_00: I think,

SPEAKER_00: because the sun is moving through the early degrees of Libra and activating

SPEAKER_00: a much larger configuration involving the outer planets.

SPEAKER_00: So between September 25th and 28th,

SPEAKER_00: The Sun will oppose Neptune and Aries,

SPEAKER_00: and it will trine Pluto and Aquarius and Uranus and Gemini.

SPEAKER_00: This creates a kite formation where the Sun is the tail of the kite.

SPEAKER_00: And so it's lighting up a pattern that's already been there for quite some time now.

SPEAKER_00: You know, the outer planets have been talking to each other all year.

SPEAKER_00: And of course,

SPEAKER_00: we remember,

SPEAKER_00: Barbo's Basket that we were all talking about over the summer,

SPEAKER_00: of which all of those planets were a part.

SPEAKER_00: Neptune, Uranus, Pluto, they move very slowly.

SPEAKER_00: And so their relationships to one another describe much longer periods of collective change.

SPEAKER_00: will come along and briefly make

SPEAKER_00: that larger pattern that's happening collectively more immediate

SPEAKER_00: and more personally felt.

SPEAKER_00: So there may be something during these few days that brings a longer,

SPEAKER_00: perhaps collective process into the light in such a way

SPEAKER_00: that it now feels more personal.

SPEAKER_00: it can introduce disruption,

SPEAKER_00: liberation, innovation, things that are unexpected, right?

SPEAKER_00: Pluto tends to bring us into deeper processes of transformation,

SPEAKER_00: things that aren't necessarily solved by making small adjustments.

SPEAKER_00: Pluto's more like transforming from the inside out.

SPEAKER_00: And Neptune can bring inspiration and imagination, but also uncertainty or confusion.

SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we're working with something that we can't see completely clearly yet.

SPEAKER_00: So around the beginning of Libra season, we might notice the world around us more.

SPEAKER_00: We might start thinking about what's changing around us and how that impacts us personally.

SPEAKER_00: We might start to formulate thoughts about it.

SPEAKER_00: We might feel pulled to look at certain things differently than we used to or

SPEAKER_00: to change our perspectives somewhat.

SPEAKER_00: And because we're in Libra season,

SPEAKER_00: some of those questions may play themselves out through our relationships

SPEAKER_00: with other people.

SPEAKER_00: Now, right in the middle of all of this,

SPEAKER_00: on September 26th, we have a full moon at about three and a half degrees Aries.

SPEAKER_00: And Aries and Libra form one of the fundamental axes of the zodiac.

SPEAKER_00: It's a cardinal axis, first of all, and it's the relationship axis of the zodiac.

SPEAKER_00: Aries is all about, you know, selfhood and autonomy and assertion.

SPEAKER_00: Libra is about relationships and living in partnership with other people.

SPEAKER_00: So this is the me versus us axis or the me and we axis.

SPEAKER_00: Aries has us consider what we want,

SPEAKER_00: what we need individually,

SPEAKER_00: what we choose, and where we need our own freedom and independence.

SPEAKER_00: Libra, on the other hand,

SPEAKER_00: is going to be about understanding where our own choices intersect with

SPEAKER_00: the well-being of others.

SPEAKER_00: Either side is inherently better.

SPEAKER_00: Healthy relationships and healthy lives require a balance of both.

SPEAKER_00: Libra wants harmony and it wants balance.

SPEAKER_00: But if I abandon myself every time I enter a relationship, that's not balance, right?

SPEAKER_00: Conversely,

SPEAKER_00: if I refuse to consider anybody else's needs because I'm protecting my independence

SPEAKER_00: so fiercely, that's not balance either.

SPEAKER_00: So this full moon may illuminate somewhere that the relationship between me

SPEAKER_00: and we needs to be adjusted.

SPEAKER_00: You might need to consider where you've compromised too much or

SPEAKER_00: where you've compromised too little.

SPEAKER_00: Where you might need greater independence in your life and where you might need

SPEAKER_00: to be more willing to cooperate.

SPEAKER_00: So I think these will be really useful things to consider around this full moon.

SPEAKER_00: Then the next day, on September 27th, Mars enters Leo.

SPEAKER_00: Mars in Leo, it can be fun.

SPEAKER_00: Mars in Leo tends to act with a lot of confidence,

SPEAKER_00: passion, and a strong desire for self-expression.

SPEAKER_00: You know, remember, Mars is basically the part of us that goes after the things that we want.

SPEAKER_00: It describes what gets us moving,
19:48
SPEAKER_00: how we pursue what we want, how we assert ourselves in the world.

SPEAKER_00: And even how we respond when something gets in our way, right, of what we want.

SPEAKER_00: And in Leo, all of that becomes a little more bold, more expressive and, you know, personal.

SPEAKER_00: There can be a lot more courage here, you know, more willingness to lead, create, compete.

SPEAKER_00: It can be a competitive placement or really it can just help you throw yourself

SPEAKER_00: behind something you really care about.

SPEAKER_00: Mars and Leo can also be a little proud and a little stubborn.

SPEAKER_00: Remember, Leo's a fixed sign.

SPEAKER_00: It doesn't especially like being ignored either or dismissed or told what to do.

SPEAKER_00: And also conflict can become a little more dramatic if egos get involved.

SPEAKER_00: It can be a really And I'm mentioning this ingress into Leo primarily because

SPEAKER_00: Mars isn't going to get very far into Leo before it runs directly into an opposition

SPEAKER_00: And this brings us to one of the more intense pieces of astrology this season, truly.

SPEAKER_00: On October 3rd, Mars and Leo opposes Pluto and Aquarius.

SPEAKER_00: Mars and Pluto together can describe a tremendous force.

SPEAKER_00: Mars has to do, again,

SPEAKER_00: with action, drive, desire, assertiveness, and our ability to go after what we want.

SPEAKER_00: compulsion,

SPEAKER_00: And with an opposition, we can become much more aware of competing agendas or competing forces.

SPEAKER_00: So I don't think this means we should just be walking around expecting conflict with people.

SPEAKER_00: But it can be useful to notice where we're trying to vie for power or the upper hand
