- 0:19Welcome back to Mini scroll, everyone.
- 0:20Happy Monday. It is Invasion day observed

- 0:37rate review and subscribe. We're trying to get to 1000
- 0:40Spotify reviews like ratings, star ratings.
- 0:43What's the deadline on that? I don't know.
- 0:46I don't have one. Let's say end of quarter, that
- 0:49would be amazing. So please star rate US on
- 0:51Spotify. Please follow me on Instagram
- 0:54and on TikTok. I'm going to be posting more
- 0:57content that is like related to behind the scenes of the brand
- 1:01that's going to help support our Brita campaign and different
- 1:04sponsorships that we have coming up.
- 1:06So if you guys could follow me, that will really help keep our
- 1:09sponsors happy which will help us keep this going.
- 1:13OK, the first right that I have for you guys is that another
- 1:15couple is going viral for their wedding content for hating their
- 1:20reception photos and basically trying to ruin their
- 1:23photographer's reputation. This is the latest example of a
- 1:26couple using their wedding for virality.
- 1:29Now this seems to be a trend for couples getting married to like
- 1:32a drag their vendors on social media.
- 1:34It is honestly so I think disgusting.
- 1:38I really hate this trend. I'll talk a little bit more
- 1:41about my opinion after, but I feel like the beginning of this
- 1:45of like this truly popping off with sepia bride.
- 1:48I feel like she really set the stage for this because she was
- 1:51the first bride I, I think in recent memory that wasn't like
- 1:54truly viral for something like this.
- 1:56OK, so in this particular instance, this new one, the
- 1:59bride, I think her name is Austin, she and her husband
- 2:02posted a TikTok together as a couple, kind of like grimacing
- 2:06into the camera before a slideshow of their wedding pics
- 2:08played. And over it they wrote when you
- 2:10were so excited for your reception pictures and this is
- 2:13what you got back. So the photos that they shared
- 2:16were not great. I don't know, like the technical
- 2:19terms for photography and things like that, but like the lighting
- 2:22was all off. Some of them were blurry.
- 2:25It just kind of looked like photos that your mom would take
- 2:27like on her iPad. Like it looks like you needed to
- 2:31like clean the lens. Almost like they were actually
- 2:34they were not good photos. However, plot twist, users
- 2:39looked at the photos and were like, OK, maybe the theme
- 2:45doesn't photograph well because their theme of their wedding.
- 2:49And also I should also say this, I think they're like 19, the
- 2:52bride and groom, they are very very young.
- 2:56But the theme was like western Alice in Wonderland carnival
- 3:01theme vibe. And I've seen some people on
- 3:05TikTok say it's like they wanted to have this like really
- 3:07Pinterest worthy moment but like the theme didn't translate.
- 3:12The theme didn't translate. But the photos they shared also
- 3:14were just not good photos. They also tagged this
- 3:18photographer in their video, which is so shady because they
- 3:22are obviously trying to send people to her page.
- 3:25They're trying to, I assume, ruin her business in some
- 3:29capacity. So users, you know, went
- 3:31through, clicked on her page, and then some users actually
- 3:34found their wedding album on her website.
- 3:37And the vast majority of the photos that were published were
- 3:42beautiful. They were, you know, clear,
- 3:45crisp. They highlighted everything
- 3:47perfectly, like they were beautiful, almost like editorial
- 3:51style photos. So this bride and groom had gone
- 3:55through this wedding album that they received and essentially
- 3:58like, took all of the kind of like, blown out like shitty ones
- 4:03and publish that on TikTok to, I guess, embarrass their
- 4:07photographer, you know, hurt her business.
- 4:10I don't know. Now, this photographer has
- 4:12issued her own statement about it on TikTok.
- 4:15I truly do feel so bad for the bride.
- 4:17This was totally being handled offline.
- 4:21There was multiple talks with the mom and then everything was
- 4:24kind of, I wouldn't say settled because obviously they were
- 4:27unhappy, but everything came to an agreement and then the bride
- 4:31decided to post this on TikTok. I sent an associate.
- 4:33My contract talks about associates.
- 4:35I get that not everyone likes that style and that's why in the
- 4:39gallery I took both and sent them both just in case she
- 4:42didn't like that, which obviously we can see that she
- 4:45didn't. OK.
- 4:46So I think maybe this has all become a trend as in like, I
- 4:50think maybe brides or couples who are publishing this kind of
- 4:53stuff on TikTok, I feel like maybe they feel entitled to this
- 4:57like viral moment because this is, like I said, like this is a
- 5:01trend now of when you are not happy with a specific vendor or
- 5:06something about your wedding, you basically go on Tiktok and
- 5:09look for this virality, almost like looking, I guess, for like
- 5:12validation in what you didn't like about your wedding.
- 5:15I assume it's because weddings are kind of like universally
- 5:19understood to be like the one day in your life where you get
- 5:22to have exactly what you want and how you want it, and
- 5:26everyone has to like, bow down to you.
- 5:29I think it's also usually the most expensive day of people's
- 5:32lives. So I think when you're kind of
- 5:34on this wave of entitlement around your wedding, maybe you
- 5:37feel like people will be on your side for these things, which is
- 5:41why you post it. I don't know.
- 5:42But it's such a horrible trend. And I do hope that now that we
- 5:48look deeper into it and all the users kind of look at these and
- 5:52think like, let me actually check out this makeup artist or
- 5:55this photographer or whatever. And now it seems like the
- 5:59audience on TikTok usually turns on the bride or the couple that
- 6:03is bringing this to the platform.
- 6:04Maybe this will make people think twice about calling out
- 6:08specific vendors. There's a big difference between
- 6:11a vendor like not following through on a contract or I don't
- 6:15know, like doing something that is seriously like ruins your
- 6:19wedding day versus you not being happy with the service that they
- 6:22provided. If you're not happy with their
- 6:24service, it is a completely disproportionate reaction to
- 6:29take it to TikTok knowing that the chances of that going viral
- 6:33are there. Like I don't know if they're
- 6:35high, but like it could go viral.
- 6:37And with virality, especially tagging one of the vendors like
- 6:42the photographer that opens all of this up to so much harassment
- 6:48and bullying of the potential of that for that vendor.
- 6:51It's like, what are you trying to achieve here?
- 6:53Are you trying to get them to lose business?
- 6:55Are you trying to make them consider hurting themselves?
- 6:58Are like, what are you trying to do with like publicly shaming
- 7:02them in front of millions of people?
- 7:04The abuse that that specific vendor, like the makeup artist,
- 7:07photographer, whatever we've seen recently, they could be
- 7:10subjected to is so extreme. If you don't like the service
- 7:14that somebody provides, you leave a Google review, you know,
- 7:18that is not going to end up having like extreme virality.
- 7:23All those eyeballs on it. Like I don't know if we
- 7:25remember, but like there's a reason why like Yelp and Google
- 7:28reviews and things like that exist.
- 7:29I get it, a wedding is very important.
- 7:31I get that it's a very expensive day, but at the end of the day,
- 7:36is it worth like possibly ruining someone's livelihood,
- 7:42they're possibly their life over, depending on how viral it
- 7:46goes and what side, quote UN quote, the Internet takes for
- 7:49what? So you can have this like viral
- 7:51gotcha moment. I don't know.
- 7:53I think it's really toxic. But this particular couple is
- 7:56very, very young. So I think that's also coming
- 8:00into play here. OK, the next right that I have
- 8:02for you guys is that Spencer Pratt is beefing with Alex
- 8:08Cooper. This is so rogue.
- 8:10So we all know that Spencer Pratt was all over TikTok and
- 8:14the media these past couple of weeks asking people to stream
- 8:17his wife Heidi Montag's song to help them make some money back
- 8:21after their home was sadly lost in the California fires.
- 8:25So he did a TikTok live with Bethenny Frankel.
- 8:28I am sure you guys know who Bethenny Frankel is because she
- 8:31used to be one of the Real Housewives of New York, but now
- 8:33she's basically just like a Tik Toker.
- 8:36So I'm sure you guys know who she is.
- 8:37But yeah, so he did a TikTok live with her.
- 8:39And on this live, Spencer ranted about Alex Cooper not posting
- 8:43about Heidi's song. So when he was asking people to
- 8:46post about Heidi's song to get people to stream it, you know,
- 8:49there was like, celebrities, influencers, people from the
- 8:52hills, like, whatever, kind of posting themselves streaming the
- 8:56song, like listening to it, dancing to it, whatever,
- 8:59encouraging people to stream. He said, quote, I asked her to
- 9:02post the song and I texted her husband and I was like, hey, it
- 9:04would really help. Spencer claimed she kept tagging
- 9:07Alex and messaging her things like this and she just didn't
- 9:11answer. Eventually Alex responded,
- 9:12quote, we have a lot of people displaced at her house.
- 9:15And then I guess Spencer said I'm like, girl, post the song
- 9:20respectfully. If I keep my platform and I keep
- 9:22being an A list rich celebrity, she's so fucked, Spencer added.
- 9:27Because I have beef with her now, she's going to be targeted.
- 9:31And then he said Alex is top of his hit list.
- 9:34OK, So like, obviously Spencer is unhinged.
- 9:37And I think a lot of what he says in this capacity is kind of
- 9:41like shock value, you know? I don't know if he's always like
- 9:44serious but I am dead at him saying if I keep on being an A
- 9:49list rich celebrity. She's so fucked.
- 9:54Spencer. I love the Hills, I love Laguna,
- 9:58I love the OG era of MTV reality TV shows.
- 10:03I love that Spencer and Heidi are having their moment.
- 10:07I actually think it's so impressive that their marriage
- 10:09has lasted this long. It shows that it was a real, you
- 10:13know, genuine love, genuine marriage.
- 10:15I think their family is really cute.
- 10:17I feel so bad that they lost their home.
- 10:19I feel so bad for anyone that lost anything in these fires.
- 10:22Spencer, to say that you are an A list celebrity, I think that's
- 10:28kind of crazy. Maybe on the Internet.
- 10:31I feel like right now he could be considered like A list
- 10:35Internet celeb right now, but even that I think is kind of a
- 10:39stretch. I also do want to say, so I've
- 10:42been getting a lot of like OG hills content and stuff.
- 10:46And then I think, what was it Heidi?
- 10:48I, I think I don't know if this was real or not.
- 10:50I didn't look into it cuz I didn't care that much.
- 10:52But Heidi released a new song and it's like us about forgiving
- 10:56and forgetting, which is obviously the iconic line that
- 10:58Lauren said to Heidi when their friendship basically broke on
- 11:02the hills. She was like, I want to forgive
- 11:04you and I want to forget you. Do I think Lauren Conrad may
- 11:08have been a bit of an entitled toxic friend?
- 11:11Sure. However, did she also watch her
- 11:15best friend enter into an incredibly toxic relationship
- 11:19with a man that kept treating her poorly again and again and
- 11:23she was just trying to make sure that her friend like was
- 11:26protected and tried to stay out of it?
- 11:27Yes. And then also did that best
- 11:30friend and her boyfriend that was toxic to her then turn
- 11:35around and tell people that Laura had a sex tape.
- 11:39Also yes, I cannot handle with like the switch up of the
- 11:43narrative around the hills. Everyone's like re watching the
- 11:47hills as an adult is realizing that Lauren was the problem.
- 11:50I think she was the problem in some capacities for sure.
- 11:53I think back then she was very much painted as like the good
- 11:56girl and like Heidi was painted as the villain.
- 11:59However, I also think, and I, and this is not talking about
- 12:03how like Lauren treated like Audrina or whatever, like I
- 12:05don't know. I'm just saying like in the
- 12:07Lauren, Heidi Spencer saga, the big elephant in the room that I
- 12:11think maybe some people don't know or like people forget about
- 12:14is that Heidi and Spencer or like Spencer.
- 12:17And then I think Heidi obviously was like his girlfriend and
- 12:20Lauren was supposed to be her best friend.
- 12:22He was treating Lauren so badly talking about the sex tape that
- 12:25she had pre social media. You couldn't just get your story
- 12:28out there. You couldn't just like say your
- 12:30piece to your audience. So I don't love that for this
- 12:35narrative. OK, the next story that I have
- 12:37for you guys, this is like A2 parter.
- 12:40There is a little bit of like Brianna chicken fry getting
- 12:44called out. I swear we're like a Brianna
- 12:46chicken fry update podcast now. First we were a Mr. Beast update
- 12:50podcast and in the last few months has been a Brianna update
- 12:54podcast. So I'm going to try and keep
- 12:55this quick. I swear, I'm not trying to just
- 12:58like constantly come for her, but the way that the Internet is
- 13:02obsessed with her, for good or bad, it's still the truth.
- 13:05OK, so first there is this new trend on TikTok.
- 13:08I'm sure a lot of you guys have seen it where someone posts a
- 13:10photo and writes you're so funny as if someone's saying that to
- 13:13them. And then they respond with
- 13:14thanks. And then they like basically
- 13:16detail their trauma, their deepest darkest trauma that
- 13:19would have like led them to make them that way.
- 13:22So a girl on TikTok named Carly posted one writing you're so
- 13:26funny. Thanks.
- 13:27My brother died and Brianna Chicken Fry implied I couldn't
- 13:30be that sad about it on her podcast.
- 13:34OK, so this is going pretty viral.
- 13:35And creator Nikki Mac, who does pop culture news, made a video.
- 13:39She basically did some digging to uncover like what that could
- 13:42have been about because obviously some people are like,
- 13:44excuse me, what is this true? So she found out what this was
- 13:48all about. South Carly's TikTok references
- 13:51Carly as in the girl that made this original TikTok.
- 13:53She's referencing a 2021 situation where 2 high school
- 13:57hockey players, one of them being Carly's brother Joey, were
- 14:00killed in a car accident. Brianna called it self-serving
- 14:03that people were like commenting on their Instagram posts.
- 14:07And I guess the town also a lot of people like for the funeral
- 14:11procession, like stood on either side of the road with like
- 14:14hockey sticks. So was kind of like an archway
- 14:16of hockey sticks as the hearse went through and just showing
- 14:20like this town just like showed their support for these two
- 14:23hockey players. And on her podcast at the time
- 14:26in 2021, Brianna basically said that it was self-serving that
- 14:30people who went to that high school or lived in that town
- 14:32were posting heartfelt condolences on social media for
- 14:35the boys. The second piece of drama that
- 14:37Bri has been in is that Bran Flakes, who is a Philly based
- 14:41Tik toker, he apparently went on live with a friend and said the
- 14:45rudest influencer he ever met was Brianna.
- 14:47So I didn't see the live myself. I couldn't verify exactly what
- 14:51he said, but apparently he was like, he said that he did
- 14:54Brianna's podcast. He said that when he was being
- 14:56interviewed by her, he could tell that Brianna just like
- 14:58wasn't very interested and then they ended up at the same
- 15:02influencer event and Brianna was just ignoring him.
- 15:05Honestly that is a really horrible experience to have
- 15:08being interviewed by someone on their podcast and feeling like
- 15:12they don't give a shit. That's happened to me once and I
- 15:16literally will forever associate that with this person.
- 15:20Kind of get why? Like even if he has interacted
- 15:23with her since and it's been positive, which it doesn't
- 15:26really sound like it has been, but regardless, nothing makes up
- 15:29for that because you're taking your time, your energy to go on
- 15:32their podcast, which they are going to make money from that
- 15:36content and whatever. Like whether you're a big name
- 15:38or not, like it's still content for them.
- 15:40And to feel like they don't give a shit is truly like a horrible
- 15:44feeling. But again, it's very he said,
- 15:46she said, I'm sure. So take it with a grain of salt.
- 15:49OK, The last story that I have for you guys is that Alex Earl
- 15:53has sold out her skinny jeans collaboration.
- 15:57So Alex revived her collab with framed denim and her skinny
- 16:01jeans called the Alex have now sold out.
- 16:04In November, Alex wore skinny jeans and a TikTok video when
- 16:07she was getting dressed for a football game.
- 16:09And basically people freaked out that skinny jeans were back.
- 16:12So obviously they had to capitalize on this.
- 16:14So we all know fashion repeats itself.
- 16:16It's very cyclical. But I think the fact that
- 16:18everyone's like, Oh my God, Alex Earl wore skinny jeans.
- 16:21So that means we all have to wear them again.
- 16:23Like we need to bring back individual sense of style,
- 16:28please, personal style. And I want to say like, I am not
- 16:33one to talk, OK. I do not have a very strong
- 16:36sense of personal style. I'm not a fashion girly.
- 16:39I really wish I did, but it does not come naturally to me so I
- 16:43don't. But I think we are all so like
- 16:46brain rotted with micro trends. It is so wild to see that it's
- 16:52like on a dime like this, like one single person wears skinny
- 16:55jeans, like, she's a cool girl. And it's like, oh, we all have
- 16:59to throw out our big baggy jeans and get skinny jeans.
- 17:02But I think another part of it is that there has been so much
- 17:06discourse over the past few years making fun of people who
- 17:09stay like stuck in their youthful styles, like
- 17:12millennials with skinny jeans, for example.
- 17:14That's just one example that was really labeled as like chewy and
- 17:17embarrassing. So I think online there just is
- 17:21this culture of being like really intolerant of people
- 17:24dressing in a way that isn't exactly part of like the current
- 17:28micro trend vibe or that's going to exactly fit into like what
- 17:31youth style is now. And that is part of the problem
- 17:35of what we always say that like the Internet now with the social
- 17:37platforms, everyone is in the same room as each other.
- 17:40So someone who's 50 is also in the same room as someone who's
- 17:4319 and you're influencing each other in a way that maybe
- 17:48wouldn't have existed before social media became so
- 17:53collective. You know, like, I don't know if
- 17:55it was super normal for people who were in their 30s, like me
- 18:00to be exposed to trends that like 18 year olds are wearing
- 18:05and to be kind of like questioning if we should be
- 18:08wearing that too. I think now it's very obvious
- 18:11that young people, they don't dress for subcultures anymore.
- 18:14They dress for the algorithm. And I think part of that is fear
- 18:18of feeling left out, which is normal, like we all experience
- 18:21that pre social media fear of feeling left out, but also fear
- 18:24of like being made fun of online, like on social media by
- 18:28complete strangers. Anyways, guys, that's it for
- 18:30mini scroll today. Thank you so much for listening.
