FSU Wins But Defense and Line Need Work | Florida State Seminoles Football News
Florida State opens 2026 with a gritty 34-17 win over New Mexico State, but the victory masks serious flaws. The offense flashed brilliance through standout running backs Ousmane Kromah and Samuel Singleton, but struggled with inconsistent blocking and constant pressure on QB Ashton Daniels. Defense’s third-down woes—allowing nearly 60% conversions—are alarming and must be fixed fast. It’s a win with promise, but the team needs to tighten up both lines if they want to build momentum.
