- 0:00Speaker 1: Pleads.
- 0:00Speaker 2: Gentlemen, Welcome to another episode of Busting with the Boys,
- 0:03Speaker 2: Episode two eighty five. I've just been told from the
- 0:06Speaker 2: back of the bus, very special guest with us today.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Can we get very special guests? Let's say TJ Hockets
- 0:13Speaker 2: and let's get a round of a big round of applause.
- 0:17Speaker 1: T J.
- 0:17Speaker 2: It's absolute pleasure to have you on here.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Man, I appreciate you.
- 0:21Speaker 2: I see you're cozy to you got your leg up,
- 0:23Speaker 2: leaning back a little bit. He's just out, yeah, dude.
- 0:29Speaker 1: To lock in.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:30Speaker 1: So yeah, so tell me about these lucies because I
- 0:33Speaker 1: haven't had these lock.
- 0:34Speaker 2: In I know, but they're different colors. So yeah, you
- 0:41Speaker 2: walked in on the other side and you said, I
- 0:44Speaker 2: got my I got my z words all ready to go,
- 0:48Speaker 2: and we said what we do At the same time,
- 0:50Speaker 2: we said whoa, And then we brought these little boys
- 0:53Speaker 2: out and we said, we have this conversation in the bus.
- 0:55Speaker 3: These lucies.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Man, you pop on with your.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Teeth, so you do you do pop them?
- 0:59Speaker 2: You can't, you can't, you don't have to. It takes
- 1:02Speaker 2: you about twenty minutes down the road. Pop to those
- 1:04Speaker 2: bad boys.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Gets a nicotine in your system. Faster hits.
- 1:07Speaker 1: You're right here, well, Miramar, those are four.
- 1:10Speaker 2: They go to twelve.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Oh yeah, give me another one. I got one, I
- 1:13Speaker 1: got one.
- 1:14Speaker 2: You got a whole little deal there.
- 1:16Speaker 3: Huh.
- 1:16Speaker 1: I like it though. They have a little trash thing
- 1:18Speaker 1: on the top.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Yeah, they thought of everything they did.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Yeah. And the company you're supporting right now, that'sough. That's
- 1:25Speaker 2: a big tobacco company. That's fortune five hundred big guys.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Step on the little guys. You don't know what kind
- 1:29Speaker 2: of chemicals are in those things with Lucy. The guy
- 1:31Speaker 2: who started this is an astrophysicist. His dad looks into
- 1:35Speaker 2: the eyes and says, listen, you're fucking your entire life
- 1:37Speaker 2: of Bud.
- 1:38Speaker 3: You're ruin because you went to Harvard. He's like, you're
- 1:39Speaker 3: messing up your Harvard degree by getting you know, a
- 1:42Speaker 3: degree and at whatever.
- 1:44Speaker 2: What was it, astrophysiology, nicotine, I guess. So they end
- 1:48Speaker 2: up starting this company. So this is like essentially the
- 1:50Speaker 2: mom and pop shop of nicotine. Nicotine. You're supporting a
- 1:54Speaker 2: small business just by putting it in your lip right now.
- 1:55Speaker 1: I do like small businesses. Yeah, that's huge.
- 1:59Speaker 2: You want to talk football for do you want talk about.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Something else whatever you guys got a Trump.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Was almost assassinated A So, yeah, are you Republican or Democrats?
- 2:08Speaker 2: Does that make you happy when you saw that? Or sad?
- 2:11Speaker 1: I mean, I think that's just a sad thing in general.
- 2:14Speaker 1: I mean, no matter what side of the aisle you're on,
- 2:17Speaker 1: I think you know that's an issue in the country obviously,
- 2:20Speaker 1: It's just they're so divided in any sense. And yeah,
- 2:25Speaker 1: that was definitely a tough one. Are you gonna play
- 2:27Speaker 1: it right now?
- 2:28Speaker 3: Yeah? That was That's a wild scene. I think there's
- 2:31Speaker 3: a few different angles, right, a few different angles. It's
- 2:33Speaker 3: put on the tinfoil hats, assassination attempt, inside job, or
- 2:39Speaker 3: complete set up move by the Trump campaign. I think
- 2:42Speaker 3: there's three. There's three.
- 2:43Speaker 2: There's three layers, three layers out there. You can you know, right, well,
- 2:47Speaker 2: hold on before we do that, I think we should
- 2:49Speaker 2: also both give the insurance possibly being like, yes, that
- 2:52Speaker 2: was wrong. No one should have done that. No one
- 2:54Speaker 2: should have done that. It was wrong. We needed not Fight's.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Just embarrassing that we're at that, that we gotten to
- 3:00Speaker 3: this point.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Yeah, there hasn't been an assassination attempt since what butch
- 3:03Speaker 2: for years forty three years. That's crazy, I thought, But
- 3:08Speaker 2: there was an assassination attempt on O. G. Bush, But
- 3:12Speaker 2: I might be speaking out of my ass. I kind
- 3:13Speaker 2: of saw that a tweet and I kind of took
- 3:15Speaker 2: that information, kept it and didn't look into it.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Twitter.
- 3:18Speaker 4: Right, there's probably an attempt, but it just got yeah.
- 3:20Speaker 2: And there's levels of badass, And I think this is
- 3:23Speaker 2: the pinnacle of badass. After getting shot, like say what
- 3:26Speaker 2: you want, Repubbi Demi, you do whatever you want. But
- 3:30Speaker 2: when it comes to Trump and getting gray Demi, getting
- 3:34Speaker 2: getting grays in the side of the ear, standing up
- 3:37Speaker 2: and saying I want my shoes and says weight weight
- 3:38Speaker 2: and then wait wait, puts the fist up as everyone's
- 3:42Speaker 2: changing USA and then then iconic photo of him getting
- 3:46Speaker 2: going off the stage with the flag in the background.
- 3:48Speaker 2: That is badass.
- 3:49Speaker 1: It couldn't happen more perfectly man like he with everything
- 3:53Speaker 1: that he led up to. I mean, that was insane, dude.
- 3:56Speaker 3: And if that's an assassination attempt, if he just doesn't move.
- 4:00Speaker 1: His head dead, that's a temper shot, you know what
- 4:03Speaker 1: I mean?
- 4:04Speaker 3: Yes, likes he's.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Dead, I know, and there is I mean, it is
- 4:08Speaker 2: fun to jump into the conspiracies of every single situation, right,
- 4:12Speaker 2: do we really lent on the moon? Nine to eleven?
- 4:14Speaker 2: Lizard people, all those types of things. What's Colorado Airport about?
- 4:17Speaker 2: But this is interesting because there was a video that
- 4:19Speaker 2: came out. I wonder if you can find it, Stirm Daddy,
- 4:22Speaker 2: But there is a video of the sniper to stage
- 4:26Speaker 2: right to the left of the camera view of Trump speaking,
- 4:29Speaker 2: and his scope is where his gun is pointing a
- 4:32Speaker 2: certain direction. He looks up and then you hear the
- 4:34Speaker 2: gunshots go up, and he gets back down and pulls
- 4:36Speaker 2: the trigger. So that tells you he saw something suspicious
- 4:39Speaker 2: going on. Anytime you see a guy you don't know
- 4:41Speaker 2: with a gun on top of a roof and the
- 4:43Speaker 2: gun is pointed towards the area you're supposed to be protecting,
- 4:45Speaker 2: probably pulled the trigger sooner rather than later. But it
- 4:48Speaker 2: brings in the idea that.
- 4:50Speaker 3: I think a little bit of an inside job.
- 4:52Speaker 2: You think it was a setup by Trump.
- 4:53Speaker 3: I think it was both a real assassination attempt, because
- 4:56Speaker 3: you got you got, you got all the you check
- 4:58Speaker 3: all the boxes, right, Like young white kid with a
- 5:01Speaker 3: rifle on top of a roof Like that seems what
- 5:05Speaker 3: usually happens. That seems to be what usually happens. Then
- 5:08Speaker 3: you got what you're explaining with the sniper being up
- 5:11Speaker 3: there seeing something and getting back on his gun. Like
- 5:13Speaker 3: the dude, people pedestrians are able to take photos of
- 5:17Speaker 3: this kid, and you're saying the Secret Service or all
- 5:20Speaker 3: the people that are on this job was not able
- 5:22Speaker 3: to see this kid or understand what was happening. And
- 5:26Speaker 3: there was another interview after the whole thing. It was
- 5:28Speaker 3: this cat with like a red visory. Yes, the fake
- 5:31Speaker 3: was trying to tell the police and they didn't seem
- 5:33Speaker 3: to do anything about it.
- 5:35Speaker 1: I think little bit. Well, there's been videos of like
- 5:37Speaker 1: people filming the guy walk up the roof or whatever
- 5:41Speaker 1: and then calling the local police like, hey, there's a
- 5:47Speaker 1: guy up there on the right. Like, I don't know
- 5:50Speaker 1: how that doesn't get relayed.
- 5:51Speaker 3: But we've all seen Shooter, Like, what's the other what's
- 5:55Speaker 3: the what's the Netflix series as well?
- 5:57Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 5:59Speaker 3: Is it called Shooter?
- 5:59Speaker 1: No?
- 6:00Speaker 3: Oh, there's a there's a Netflix series. It's like the
- 6:03Speaker 3: president dies, so the independent was the vice president. He
- 6:06Speaker 3: actually takes over for the country. Yeah, designated survivor. Yeah,
- 6:12Speaker 3: good pull JP and uh, dude, these teams that are
- 6:16Speaker 3: on this stuff, like you don't miss something like that
- 6:18Speaker 3: at all, whatsoever in the ability, Like I want to say,
- 6:22Speaker 3: somebody talked about him in a press conference one time,
- 6:24Speaker 3: but somebody maybe having a gun. They had him off
- 6:26Speaker 3: the stage within seconds. This one, it seemed like people
- 6:28Speaker 3: weren't back, like yes, some people still standing up. I
- 6:31Speaker 3: don't know. It just seems little fishy to the boy.
- 6:33Speaker 3: And there's that guy.
- 6:34Speaker 2: There's a guy sitting behind Trump. He's like wearing a
- 6:36Speaker 2: black like fedora, and he's got curly hair. And when
- 6:40Speaker 2: everybody starts a duck, he doesn't move at all, and
- 6:42Speaker 2: then he mouths something and people are saying his mouthing
- 6:44Speaker 2: like now you know yeah or something like that. Something crazy,
- 6:47Speaker 2: something crazy, something crazy.
- 6:49Speaker 3: Those are the things that I love to like what
- 6:51Speaker 3: this means?
- 6:52Speaker 2: Yeah, that guy right there in the top left corner
- 6:54Speaker 2: of that photo and he's like holding his photo and
- 6:57Speaker 2: then you see people like kind of start ducking. He
- 6:59Speaker 2: just goes this doesn't move at all.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Then if you play the game of total setup job
- 7:05Speaker 3: by the Trump campaign, like Trump he's been in the
- 7:07Speaker 3: w W, he's been in the ring, he's beat u
- 7:08Speaker 3: vincent man, Like what if he just drops the ground,
- 7:11Speaker 3: gears some shots, and he just takes a blade to
- 7:12Speaker 3: his ear. To me, insanely genius chess move if you're
- 7:17Speaker 3: watching it from a bird's eye view, just you know,
- 7:19Speaker 3: being like a commentator on the whole.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Thing, right, because it is. Yeah, it's a it's a
- 7:23Speaker 2: horrible thing would happen. But now everyone is basically saying
- 7:26Speaker 2: that there's no way this guy doesn't run away with it.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Yeah, And what was hilarious too, is you sat back
- 7:31Speaker 3: and this mean, this video is going around like what
- 7:33Speaker 3: what Joe Biden would have to do to get back
- 7:35Speaker 3: in the race of Trump, And it's Vince McMahon getting
- 7:37Speaker 3: in this limo and then the limo just blows up.
- 7:47Speaker 3: Oh yeah, so Lucy Breakers are great. Great, Yeah, great,
- 7:52Speaker 3: pouch to chew on.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Well, we didn't get a weird thought though. You think
- 7:56Speaker 2: it's inside job and we're here right there's yeah, not
- 8:00Speaker 2: gonna get in.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Trouble, No, I'm not. Yeah, I mean politics, Yeah, it's tough.
- 8:05Speaker 1: I mean it goes either.
- 8:07Speaker 3: World pretty quickly.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Yeah, no doubt he will text you. I'm sure. No,
- 8:11Speaker 1: I don't. I don't know that it was an inside job.
- 8:13Speaker 1: I think it was definitely a little sketchy on how
- 8:18Speaker 1: the whole thing happened, but you know, I think it
- 8:22Speaker 1: is it's it's kind of been a lead up, you know,
- 8:24Speaker 1: over the last whatever twelve years since Obama gotten out
- 8:29Speaker 1: of office. You know, the last three elections have kind
- 8:31Speaker 1: of been a you know, they talk about it as
- 8:34Speaker 1: a do or die thing, and that's like that's tough
- 8:37Speaker 1: to you know, somebody's gonna take that real, you know. So,
- 8:41Speaker 1: I mean it's it's it's hard to continue to the
- 8:44Speaker 1: rhetoric of, oh, it's a do or die election and
- 8:47Speaker 1: assume that nobody's going to do something drastic, you know,
- 8:50Speaker 1: which is kind of crazy. So I think just the
- 8:54Speaker 1: rhetoric in the United States and in America, like it's
- 8:58Speaker 1: an election, you know, go vote, rather than oh, this
- 9:01Speaker 1: is the end of democracy or this is the end
- 9:04Speaker 1: of you know, civilization if if one guy wins or
- 9:08Speaker 1: the other, and that goes both ways. But like, it's
- 9:11Speaker 1: kind of crazy the the amount of like people are
- 9:15Speaker 1: surprised now that like this happened, and it's like it
- 9:17Speaker 1: is surprising and it should be surprising, but like there's
- 9:20Speaker 1: been such a lead up to it. It's crazy.
- 9:23Speaker 3: And it's also in the in the weird corner of
- 9:25Speaker 3: it not being surprising, because you know, there are people
- 9:27Speaker 3: that there are people that are like, you know, wish you.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Would have got shot, oh yeah, which is crazy.
- 9:30Speaker 3: There's people that wish that wish Biden would tip over,
- 9:33Speaker 3: yeah before it all, before the election happens, right, And
- 9:36Speaker 3: I'm just saying like, I feel like those are those
- 9:37Speaker 3: are things that people out on the deep dark corners
- 9:40Speaker 3: of the Internet talk about.
- 9:41Speaker 2: I don't think they're that deep and dark, and I
- 9:42Speaker 2: feel like a lot of people are like damn.
- 9:44Speaker 3: Yeah, but nobody actively comes out and says ship like that,
- 9:47Speaker 3: Oh yeah, you know what I mean. It's like when
- 9:49Speaker 3: something like that happens, you'll be seeing stuff pop up
- 9:51Speaker 3: on like oh man, wish they would have wish you
- 9:52Speaker 3: would have died or something like.
- 9:53Speaker 2: That, which is crazy.
- 9:54Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, I think we're in a unique spot too,
- 9:56Speaker 3: because you really, the next time Trump speaks, obviously everybody's
- 9:58Speaker 3: gonna be tuned in. But what what a spot to
- 10:00Speaker 3: where it's like everybody is just denouncing all this violence
- 10:03Speaker 3: and where we've gotten to and all this device on
- 10:04Speaker 3: thisness because that's where it's been. I feel like the middle,
- 10:07Speaker 3: the majority of the middle. Now, are you know, speaking
- 10:10Speaker 3: up a little bit more just because you feel like
- 10:12Speaker 3: you're shunned if you talk about one or the other,
- 10:13Speaker 3: because it's such a do or die, you'll make it
- 10:16Speaker 3: believe it's such a do or die situation. It's like
- 10:18Speaker 3: this twenty year old he was twelve when Trump first
- 10:20Speaker 3: got elected. It's like, wonder what's driving or what's cultivated
- 10:23Speaker 3: his mind unless it's like, you know, there's the kookie
- 10:26Speaker 3: inside job to where he was just kind of like
- 10:28Speaker 3: the kid who was going to do it, and they
- 10:29Speaker 3: just took advantage of some mentally and stable cat. But
- 10:32Speaker 3: if it was his own doing, he was twelve when
- 10:35Speaker 3: Trump first got elected, Like what is been going on
- 10:38Speaker 3: in his mind up until that point to where he
- 10:39Speaker 3: thinks he has to climb a roof and try to
- 10:40Speaker 3: pull a trigger on the president vaccine to be trying
- 10:43Speaker 3: to remember that way? What the bust with the boys? Yeah, dude,
- 10:50Speaker 3: podcasts for the Boys by the boys.
- 10:53Speaker 2: I don't know the older I get. I just feel
- 10:55Speaker 2: like it's there's all that deep what do they call it?
- 10:59Speaker 2: Deep deep state? The deep state? Jepe's fucking on top
- 11:02Speaker 2: of it today. He took his alpha brain because he's.
- 11:04Speaker 3: Part of cute.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Yeah, dude, the deep State, all that stuff, it just
- 11:07Speaker 2: seems realer and realer to me. Yeah, there's other people
- 11:10Speaker 2: behind the black Rocks, the roths, Childs, everyone's kind of
- 11:14Speaker 2: running things from the background. Yeah, because how else could
- 11:17Speaker 2: he get so corrupt? And now there's so much more information,
- 11:20Speaker 2: so many more videos being taken that they're just being
- 11:22Speaker 2: found out faster, and it just so quickly goes by
- 11:24Speaker 2: in the media cycle of twenty four hours. I've really
- 11:28Speaker 2: found myself thirty two years of age, kind of believing
- 11:31Speaker 2: what people are saying, kind of believing the deep state stuff.
- 11:34Speaker 3: But then you got people who are scared to even
- 11:35Speaker 3: talk about it. It's like I thought, uh, was it Garrett?
- 11:38Speaker 3: Was it Garrett Wilson? Oh, Sauce Gardener? Yeah, my fault,
- 11:42Speaker 3: My fault, Sauce. But Sauces he put up a couple
- 11:45Speaker 3: tweets that are like real things. He almost doesn't He's
- 11:47Speaker 3: trying to like learn about stuff and back. You know,
- 11:49Speaker 3: why does your vote have to be deemed as something
- 11:51Speaker 3: that is like, yo, you hate me now because I'm
- 11:54Speaker 3: siding with let's say Trump or let's say Biden. But
- 11:56Speaker 3: he wrote up a couple of tweets of like, you know,
- 11:57Speaker 3: you got new people who are coming to the fold
- 11:59Speaker 3: that are trying to potentially educate themselves, and people are
- 12:02Speaker 3: like nervous to even do so or even talk about
- 12:04Speaker 3: it because you get you get shunned immediately when you
- 12:07Speaker 3: bring it up on what you might be on one
- 12:08Speaker 3: side or the other. It's like a it's like such
- 12:10Speaker 3: a side thing, which is a bad place to begin.
- 12:12Speaker 3: It's obviously resulted in an assassination attempt. Yes, yeah, can
- 12:18Speaker 3: you bring up if you just go to his timeline.
- 12:20Speaker 3: I think it's the most recent ones. I like Fallen
- 12:27Speaker 3: Sauce man, I like, yeah, I like Fallen Sauce.
- 12:32Speaker 1: He did.
- 12:32Speaker 3: I saw that, and I was thinking in my head,
- 12:33Speaker 3: oh no, I hope the boys don't see this. Tough,
- 12:41Speaker 3: keep going, keep going, keep scrolling.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Yea's right at the top.
- 12:49Speaker 3: Is that it whoa okay, so so bring up that
- 12:55Speaker 3: initial when he did before he quote tweeted okay, it
- 12:59Speaker 3: says in all Honestly, I never voted before, and I am
- 13:01Speaker 3: unfamiliar with politics, but I do think it's odd to
- 13:03Speaker 3: judge people based on who they vote for. Maybe it's
- 13:05Speaker 3: not odd, and I just don't understand because I'm not
- 13:07Speaker 3: familiar with it. Somebody fill me in. I appreciate that
- 13:09Speaker 3: authenticity because I do feel like a lot of especially
- 13:12Speaker 3: with newcats coming to the fold in politics, it's like, yo,
- 13:14Speaker 3: what is why are people just so on edge all
- 13:16Speaker 3: the time? It says, I say this because it's no
- 13:19Speaker 3: such thing as act as perfect people, which means there
- 13:21Speaker 3: will never be a perfect president. It'll always be things
- 13:24Speaker 3: that people don't like about what a president does and
- 13:26Speaker 3: things they dislike. So people could support a president based
- 13:29Speaker 3: on one good thing that he or she will change
- 13:31Speaker 3: in disregard that not so good things. So it's not
- 13:34Speaker 3: fair to judge someone based on who they vote for
- 13:36Speaker 3: because that doesn't mean they have the same exact morales,
- 13:39Speaker 3: morals and values as the president. So I thought it
- 13:42Speaker 3: was articularly well.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah that's real. I mean you can't
- 13:51Speaker 1: hardly even have a conversation with you. Yeah, but like
- 13:53Speaker 1: you know, have different opinions, because then it's just like
- 13:56Speaker 1: it becomes a heated match, and it's like that's not
- 13:59Speaker 1: I mean, you have a different opinion, and I can
- 14:01Speaker 1: have a different opinion, but like we're still we can
- 14:03Speaker 1: still be boys. Like but that's almost not a thing anymore.
- 14:07Speaker 3: I find myself just leaning into more of the humor side,
- 14:09Speaker 3: because you know, you're not if you're trying to have
- 14:11Speaker 3: like real conversations, especially on the Internet, like they're just
- 14:14Speaker 3: not going to you know, you're not going to solve anything.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Then you're not to teach.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Anybody's mind either, right. Yeah, people are too like walled
- 14:21Speaker 2: off to all that. It's crazy that like when we
- 14:23Speaker 2: were kids, you just like you don't talk about religion
- 14:26Speaker 2: or politics at the dinner table, and I feel like
- 14:27Speaker 2: that's all it's talked about now, especially when it's an
- 14:31Speaker 2: election year, It's like everyone's talking about this, that and
- 14:33Speaker 2: the other.
- 14:34Speaker 1: I'll destroy some families too, I mean like, yeah, destroy
- 14:39Speaker 1: reunion like people you can't even talk about it. It
- 14:42Speaker 1: destroys bands.
- 14:45Speaker 3: What do you got pulled up here?
- 14:47Speaker 4: We got the conspiracy theory Iceberg going on over here. Yeah,
- 14:51Speaker 4: bringing a couple of those things.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I've always loved the Iceberg.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Man.
- 14:58Speaker 3: This Iceberg photo is always with the way we've seen
- 15:00Speaker 3: the Iceberg is just all about your character and what
- 15:03Speaker 3: you see on Sundays.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Yeah, what's below it? Yeah, what's mirror world?
- 15:09Speaker 3: We are actually living in? The mirror world, and that
- 15:12Speaker 3: when we see the mirror that and can you give
- 15:14Speaker 3: JP the mic?
- 15:15Speaker 5: WHOA, The mirror world is like when you go into
- 15:19Speaker 5: your bathroom and you look in your reflection that what
- 15:22Speaker 5: you're seeing is actually the real world and you are
- 15:25Speaker 5: the mirror world.
- 15:28Speaker 6: So you don't know where you exist.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Hey, do you see uh Neil de Grosse Tyson talk
- 15:33Speaker 2: about Neil Gross that's a scientist, right, Yeah, he was
- 15:37Speaker 2: essentially saying, and one clip that I saw, so I
- 15:41Speaker 2: could we think this out of context that it's very
- 15:44Speaker 2: hard to argue that we're not an assimilation, very difficult.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Someone's not play a game on us, and chaos is
- 15:51Speaker 2: always happening. And the only time chaos stops happening is
- 15:54Speaker 2: when the player playing our game goes to the bathroom
- 15:57Speaker 2: or goes to sleep.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Yeah, have you has anybody seen the new TV show
- 16:00Speaker 3: Dark Matter?
- 16:01Speaker 1: No?
- 16:02Speaker 6: I've heard about it though.
- 16:05Speaker 3: Here.
- 16:05Speaker 2: But he said, like four words, yo.
- 16:09Speaker 3: Dude, A dark Matter. So you go into this black box, right,
- 16:12Speaker 3: you inject your stuff. You go into this black box.
- 16:14Speaker 3: But it's like this unlimited universe of like doors you
- 16:18Speaker 3: can go into and depending on the thoughts and feelings
- 16:20Speaker 3: you have, that's what you're about to open into another world,
- 16:23Speaker 3: like another another world. And so in this like somebody
- 16:28Speaker 3: who was traveling with him stayed in the world and said,
- 16:30Speaker 3: I'm not going to go back in the box with
- 16:31Speaker 3: you because I'm gonna start a new life here because
- 16:32Speaker 3: they're in a new universe. They're in a new world.
- 16:35Speaker 3: Want to be right. And then toward the end of it,
- 16:37Speaker 3: it's like this guy who's a great actor, he's the
- 16:39Speaker 3: he's the teacher and the warrior to where all of
- 16:43Speaker 3: these same cats make it to the same world he's in,
- 16:46Speaker 3: but just all the different realities that we could be
- 16:48Speaker 3: potentially living in. It's a it's an awesome show. It's
- 16:50Speaker 3: a good show.
- 16:51Speaker 2: Sounds like Mirror.
- 16:53Speaker 3: Yes, I haven't watched Black Mirror. Is that where you
- 16:55Speaker 3: get to choose like you can see black mirrors or.
- 16:58Speaker 2: No, no, no, no.
- 16:58Speaker 1: It's an episode.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Yeah, episode, Each episode is a new.
- 17:02Speaker 1: So you can just go through the episodes. You can
- 17:03Speaker 1: start at like twenty or whatever.
- 17:06Speaker 2: And it's all like different plots, different ideas, but like
- 17:08Speaker 2: a lot of it is like black Male. Well a
- 17:10Speaker 2: lot that I've seen is like Black Male. Different universes,
- 17:12Speaker 2: different theories, all kind of coming together and it's wild woo.
- 17:17Speaker 3: And no matter where you start, they both have a
- 17:18Speaker 3: starting point and what you end on is like an
- 17:21Speaker 3: ending to that.
- 17:22Speaker 2: It's yeah, yeah, it's it's final, like there's no yeah,
- 17:27Speaker 2: like an hour and a half episodes and you really
- 17:29Speaker 2: your mind goes into guy, yeah they're like a little
- 17:32Speaker 2: but goes back to conspiracy theories.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Are people truly this original ideas or are they being
- 17:38Speaker 2: fed these ideas and giving a small little hints to
- 17:41Speaker 2: what's really going on in.
- 17:41Speaker 1: The world people a little bit.
- 17:45Speaker 3: It makes me, It makes me want to throw back
- 17:47Speaker 3: a couple of cans the th y Yeah, for real,
- 17:50Speaker 3: have some conversation. This reminds me about Jared Allen. We
- 17:52Speaker 3: had Jared Allen on and we just talked like conspiracy theories,
- 17:55Speaker 3: go back real quick, go back?
- 17:56Speaker 2: What is uh the time?
- 18:00Speaker 3: Such a good Yeah, the Elysium Network was catching my brain.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Elysium Network was that I don't know, I just saw
- 18:09Speaker 2: it on that next you know. Joe Allen is the
- 18:14Speaker 2: man though.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Yeah, he is big into the curling.
- 18:17Speaker 2: He's I think he started a company.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Yeah we're we did like a curling event with him,
- 18:21Speaker 1: like half yeah yeah so' him and him me George.
- 18:26Speaker 1: I mean he's like the top of it. But then
- 18:28Speaker 1: George and I are kind of like putting it on
- 18:31Speaker 1: social and like kind of doing a bunch of stuff
- 18:33Speaker 1: with it. But it's huge. It's sweet sport. I mean
- 18:35Speaker 1: we're like we go to the T line over here
- 18:37Speaker 1: all the time and just go throw some rocks man,
- 18:41Speaker 1: and you guys, uh it would be it was It's
- 18:46Speaker 1: not that bad. I mean, like you the first time
- 18:49Speaker 1: he go is hard because like you don't quite understand
- 18:52Speaker 1: like how hard to release it or how hard to
- 18:54Speaker 1: push off, But like you go two three times and
- 18:56Speaker 1: then you'd be solid. I mean you're an athlete like
- 18:59Speaker 1: and I coordinations.
- 19:00Speaker 3: Yeah, you know. Yeah, you guys like creating a little
- 19:03Speaker 3: team that's gonna like travel around in the off season.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Uh maybe, I mean George and I kind of go
- 19:07Speaker 1: George me Rob and we we kind of go over there,
- 19:11Speaker 1: and and Trent Taylor, we all have play a little
- 19:14Speaker 1: team and go play with the like leagues and they
- 19:18Speaker 1: just fit us in every once in a while, like
- 19:19Speaker 1: Wednesday nights and go over there to get the tea line.
- 19:23Speaker 2: Pretty sure, Uh, Jaredson Bear, Jared's trying to like start
- 19:26Speaker 2: a league.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Yeah he is. Yeah, yeah, he's.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Doing all that. Talked about busted being a part of
- 19:31Speaker 2: that too, Get on it. That would be fun. Yeah,
- 19:36Speaker 2: but it's hard to think about like curling from a
- 19:38Speaker 2: TV standpoint, like competing with something like pickleball would.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Be like like eight THEO you know what I mean,
- 19:43Speaker 1: Like they have their bags and everything, Like I mean,
- 19:46Speaker 1: I would love.
- 19:47Speaker 2: To commentate theow. Yeah, that would be a lot of fun.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Bags are starting to pick up. I feel like I'm popular.
- 19:52Speaker 3: I saw the day Kwon Jones he was on the squad.
- 19:54Speaker 3: He was he was hitting some the same team.
- 19:59Speaker 2: He's like one of the like the main guys in
- 20:01Speaker 2: that like Las Vegas League. Yeah, because he had usuff
- 20:03Speaker 2: about doing that, and I think late last year about
- 20:07Speaker 2: coming and doing that. I think we would get body back.
- 20:09Speaker 1: Though maybe those guys are insane though they are like
- 20:13Speaker 1: blocking the front.
- 20:14Speaker 2: That is an actual talent.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Yeah, have the sick and the sticky side like it goes,
- 20:20Speaker 1: it goes.
- 20:21Speaker 2: I don't even know that existed till you just said
- 20:22Speaker 2: that just now. Really, yeah, I thought they were both
- 20:24Speaker 2: the same thing.
- 20:26Speaker 3: My brother Cody, when we do our cornhole cornhole tournament
- 20:29Speaker 3: on during the fourth July, he comes with his own
- 20:31Speaker 3: set of bags and nobody else can play with them.
- 20:33Speaker 2: No can catch them.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Yeah, nobody else can play with That is a very cody.
- 20:37Speaker 3: He's like competing, you know, obviously to win. He did
- 20:40Speaker 3: not win this year.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Oh really you got if you're the only guy to
- 20:43Speaker 2: bring your own bags to you got to throw those.
- 20:47Speaker 3: It is over?
- 20:49Speaker 2: Is that what you want to do when you're done?
- 20:52Speaker 1: I don't know what I want to do.
- 20:53Speaker 2: You want to curl?
- 20:54Speaker 1: I mean that'll be part of it probably. I don't
- 20:56Speaker 1: know what I'll do. You a lot of golf curl?
- 20:59Speaker 3: Have you curl?
- 21:00Speaker 2: Tins to knee injury?
- 21:01Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, a couple months ago, Yeah, we were out there. Yeah,
- 21:04Speaker 1: I mean it it really hasn't like limited me too
- 21:08Speaker 1: much in that fact, Like I'm still like a normal person.
- 21:11Speaker 1: After like twelve weeks was when I could kind of
- 21:14Speaker 1: start getting back into doing stuff, like started playing golf
- 21:17Speaker 1: because it's my right knee, it's not the left, so
- 21:19Speaker 1: like I'm not like torquing on it. But yeah, I
- 21:22Speaker 1: mean it's kind of like a normal person. Now.
- 21:25Speaker 3: How's he been doing?
- 21:26Speaker 1: It's just been great. Yeah, I mean we're running out
- 21:31Speaker 1: doing doing a lot of change direction stuff. Like it's honestly,
- 21:36Speaker 1: I mean, you know how it is like the first
- 21:38Speaker 1: like when you get injured, like your head goes into
- 21:41Speaker 1: a dark place, it like it is, and like you're
- 21:44Speaker 1: not really sure like what you're gonna do or how
- 21:47Speaker 1: you're gonna be after and then you know, like once
- 21:50Speaker 1: I got to probably fifteen weeks, when like twelve they
- 21:54Speaker 1: start running, let me run. And I got to give
- 21:56Speaker 1: credit obviously to a lot of the pets up in Minnesota,
- 21:59Speaker 1: like they've been credible, like super like, hey, when you're
- 22:02Speaker 1: ready is when we'll start stuff, like when you're ready
- 22:05Speaker 1: to do this, And that's been perfect because it's like
- 22:07Speaker 1: at twelve weeks, I wasn't on the field, you know,
- 22:10Speaker 1: like I was starting to run in the pool, and
- 22:12Speaker 1: then I transitioned to the altar g and then I
- 22:14Speaker 1: transitioned to the field, and that was like the transition
- 22:17Speaker 1: period and rather than hammering on it at twelve weeks
- 22:21Speaker 1: and going to the field and like just hobbling around
- 22:24Speaker 1: like it was a straight progression, and then like my
- 22:27Speaker 1: confidence goes up and everything's been like a smooth transition.
- 22:31Speaker 1: So there's been a lot of people helping and now
- 22:34Speaker 1: with j Hole, like it's it's like regular training, you know,
- 22:37Speaker 1: like Jay's the best, and he does all this stuff
- 22:40Speaker 1: and cutting everything, doing doing some routes and like top
- 22:44Speaker 1: of route stuff and getting in it. And I'm only
- 22:46Speaker 1: five and a half months so.
- 22:48Speaker 2: And Jorge and their PT.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Griffin, like matt Ep, like Matty Ice up in Minnesota,
- 22:57Speaker 1: like Tyler up in Minnesota, those guys. It was a
- 23:00Speaker 1: smooth transition because like Elatrosh did my surgery right, yeah, incredible,
- 23:05Speaker 1: and then I had that was with his PT for
- 23:08Speaker 1: like three weeks. Then I came down here with Griffin
- 23:11Speaker 1: and Jorge worked with them for like four weeks, and
- 23:15Speaker 1: then I went up to Minnesota and that was about
- 23:17Speaker 1: the time I needed to start running and like lifting
- 23:19Speaker 1: and like do the do the stick in and all
- 23:22Speaker 1: that stuff, you know, run and stop. And then it
- 23:26Speaker 1: was up there for like a couple of months. And
- 23:28Speaker 1: then now coming down here and like starting to get
- 23:30Speaker 1: back into the route tree with Jay and like coming
- 23:34Speaker 1: out of the explosion stuff with Josh and then you know,
- 23:37Speaker 1: like all that stuff is has been huge. It's been
- 23:40Speaker 1: a straight transition that's been incredible. And then I'll go
- 23:42Speaker 1: back up to Minnesota, on Saturday and then start rolling how's.
- 23:47Speaker 2: How's the how is it communication as you like transition
- 23:50Speaker 2: from Elatrosha's team down to here with Minnesota going back
- 23:55Speaker 2: and forth, like was everybody pretty much in the same page.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Yeah, that's been like like the cool part about it
- 24:00Speaker 1: is like, you know, the people up in Minnesota, like
- 24:02Speaker 1: Tyler and Maddie have been really like good about hey,
- 24:07Speaker 1: calling elatrosh, making sure like I'm doing the right stuff
- 24:10Speaker 1: out there. And then when I came down here, like
- 24:13Speaker 1: Maddie came down for four or five days. That's that's
- 24:16Speaker 1: my head head pt guy in Minnesota, you know. So
- 24:19Speaker 1: he came down, hung out, watched what I was doing,
- 24:22Speaker 1: did some corrections and stuff, and it was like super
- 24:25Speaker 1: cool about everything, and you know, said some things that
- 24:28Speaker 1: he wanted to put in there and implement. And then
- 24:30Speaker 1: he knew where I was at and went up there.
- 24:32Speaker 1: Then I went up there, and they knew exactly where
- 24:34Speaker 1: I was at, like what I was doing and who
- 24:37Speaker 1: I was with, and then they like trusted like these
- 24:39Speaker 1: people down here because you know, they're the best of
- 24:41Speaker 1: the best. And then going up there transitioned and then
- 24:45Speaker 1: coming down here again like start like obviously I'm running
- 24:48Speaker 1: and doing change the direction and all that stuff. And
- 24:51Speaker 1: like Maddy came down again like last week for a
- 24:54Speaker 1: couple of days and hung out watched Jay Holt do
- 24:57Speaker 1: his stuff and he's like, dude, this is perfect for you.
- 24:59Speaker 1: Like the this is the best, big time.
- 25:01Speaker 2: That is huge. You've never heard of an NFL team
- 25:03Speaker 2: trainer coming going somewhere for somebody to check on them.
- 25:07Speaker 3: Right, Because for everybody like tuning in or listening to this,
- 25:10Speaker 3: it's usually teams are very nervous when they want you
- 25:14Speaker 3: to stay with them the entire time so that way
- 25:16Speaker 3: they can oversee your rehappen everything. So the fact that
- 25:18Speaker 3: they're traveling down and getting to know the crews down
- 25:21Speaker 3: here like that is big time.
- 25:22Speaker 1: That's huge. It's huge. And then like it gives them
- 25:25Speaker 1: confidence for me to come down here too, you know,
- 25:27Speaker 1: like if you ever have anything, like they know who
- 25:30Speaker 1: you're working with, they know exactly what you're doing, and
- 25:32Speaker 1: they're happy about it because, like like I said, I mean,
- 25:35Speaker 1: these guys are the best, but you can only tell
- 25:37Speaker 1: them that they're the best. But when they come and
- 25:38Speaker 1: see it is when they like truly believe you know. Yeah,
- 25:42Speaker 1: So it's incredible.
- 25:43Speaker 2: You talked about that the Dark Place.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Yeah, what, there's a lot.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Of different variables when it comes to going to dark
- 25:49Speaker 2: Place and everybody, everybody hits it. Yours being the last
- 25:52Speaker 2: game of the season, Yeah, yeah, because everyone two more left.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Sorry at the end of the season because everyone legit.
- 25:59Speaker 2: I don't know if this goes through you all said,
- 26:00Speaker 2: but you think to yourself, if I'm going to get hurt,
- 26:02Speaker 2: I wanted to be early in the year so I
- 26:05Speaker 2: can be ready for next year. And then once you
- 26:06Speaker 2: hit like that Week ten mark, You're like, just beat
- 26:09Speaker 2: Nicks and bruises. At this point we needed did that
- 26:11Speaker 2: play into Yeah a little bit, because how did you
- 26:14Speaker 2: think about that Detroit?
- 26:17Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, that was the tough the depression, Yeah, for sure,
- 26:21Speaker 1: for sure. I mean it was one of those things,
- 26:23Speaker 1: you know, like it's week sixteen. I think was it
- 26:28Speaker 1: when it was? And like, you know, I'm knocking on
- 26:30Speaker 1: a thousand yards, like I'm right there, like having a
- 26:35Speaker 1: good season, like obviously, you know, we were fighting for
- 26:39Speaker 1: a playoff spot at that point, like we needed to
- 26:41Speaker 1: win that game, and we were, you know, on the way,
- 26:43Speaker 1: and you know then that was probably my second or
- 26:47Speaker 1: third target in that game, and I mean, you kind
- 26:51Speaker 1: of know how to just cover two stick nod like
- 26:54Speaker 1: bending in the middle, and then you know, I turn
- 26:57Speaker 1: around catch the ball and I look and all I
- 26:59Speaker 1: really see is a flat flash of blue like underneath me.
- 27:02Speaker 1: And it's like, oh, you know, try to stop and
- 27:05Speaker 1: I feel it, but I kind of thought I just
- 27:07Speaker 1: hyper extended it, like I didn't think it was like
- 27:09Speaker 1: I didn't hear pop. I didn't hear anything. And then
- 27:11Speaker 1: I ran off a field, like just jogged off and
- 27:14Speaker 1: ship not. And then they checked it and I was
- 27:17Speaker 1: like yeah, and so it got it got.
- 27:22Speaker 2: A C O M C L right, and then impressive noniscus.
- 27:27Speaker 1: Yeah, nothing with the meniscus. But you know, like I said,
- 27:32Speaker 1: I mean I just turned my head around, went up
- 27:35Speaker 1: for the ball, turned the head around and I was like,
- 27:38Speaker 1: oh no, and then got off the side. They were like, yeah,
- 27:42Speaker 1: I think it might be a c L. But you know,
- 27:45Speaker 1: like go showers done, get the Amurai and everything. So
- 27:49Speaker 1: you kind of get a little bit of hope. And
- 27:51Speaker 1: then finally get the news that night and it's like, man,
- 27:54Speaker 1: that's that's that really sucks. But again, they did a
- 27:58Speaker 1: good job because it was like the MCL. I didn't
- 28:01Speaker 1: need to get fixed, like I had full range of
- 28:04Speaker 1: motion after it happened. And then they locked me in
- 28:07Speaker 1: a brace for about a week to get the MCL
- 28:10Speaker 1: to heal down. And then after that it was like,
- 28:14Speaker 1: all right, we need you to get to one twenty,
- 28:16Speaker 1: you know, degrees to get it to bend, and it
- 28:18Speaker 1: was like at one hundred after they locked me, you know.
- 28:20Speaker 1: So it's like that was kind of a big process
- 28:24Speaker 1: is trying to get it in and elatroscas are like,
- 28:28Speaker 1: like I said, a really good job. I went out
- 28:29Speaker 1: there like a week and a half before surgery and
- 28:32Speaker 1: then his PT guys were just in there cranking on
- 28:34Speaker 1: it to get it to bend and do all that,
- 28:36Speaker 1: and yeah, it was it was definitely a dark place
- 28:40Speaker 1: because you're like, man, I don't know what's gonna happen,
- 28:42Speaker 1: Like what am I going to be the player? I
- 28:44Speaker 1: was like, you hear about it, you hear about the
- 28:46Speaker 1: ACL injuries, and like everything is it's a scary thing.
- 28:50Speaker 1: But you know, at the point I'm at now, like
- 28:55Speaker 1: I feel really comfortable about being able to come back
- 28:58Speaker 1: and be the player I was and even be better.
- 29:01Speaker 1: And so that's that's kind of huge for me, but yeah,
- 29:04Speaker 1: like like I say, you're not walking, You're like Mikayla's
- 29:08Speaker 1: my wife is rolling me around like in a wheelchair.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Like hopefully you go from like feeling untouchable exactly to
- 29:16Speaker 2: just getting up if you have to pee in the
- 29:17Speaker 2: midle and then you're like, bro, how am I going
- 29:19Speaker 2: to go do this?
- 29:19Speaker 3: Like can I hold it?
- 29:20Speaker 2: No? I can't and it'll wake up your significant other.
- 29:23Speaker 2: And then just going from going through it like playing
- 29:28Speaker 2: and having your schedule, having a routine the way it
- 29:31Speaker 2: is and how intense and how like precise it is,
- 29:33Speaker 2: and then it's like, hey, you're done, and now you're
- 29:36Speaker 2: bedridden for however many days?
- 29:38Speaker 3: Weeks?
- 29:38Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, because with a minute with a meniscus, it's
- 29:41Speaker 2: like you can't put weight on it for six weeks.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Yeah, you're locked locked.
- 29:45Speaker 2: And so then the only time you take it off
- 29:47Speaker 2: is for pet and then you're sleeping with that brace
- 29:49Speaker 2: on what those six weeks? Like obviously the scaries are
- 29:53Speaker 2: hitting you, the depression scaries, but like, what are you
- 29:54Speaker 2: doing the past the time you pick up a vile
- 29:56Speaker 2: video game?
- 29:56Speaker 1: Yeah, a lot of cod Yeah, all, yeah, I was
- 30:01Speaker 1: kicking it on the video games but yeah, I mean,
- 30:04Speaker 1: like you say, I mean it was like elatrosh she
- 30:06Speaker 1: went in there. He looked at it, and he was
- 30:08Speaker 1: when I woke up, he was like, your ministius looks great,
- 30:12Speaker 1: Like looks perfect. You know. We just had to fix
- 30:14Speaker 1: them of the A c L. The MCL had a
- 30:16Speaker 1: stopping point, so we were good.
- 30:17Speaker 2: There.
- 30:18Speaker 1: He's like he should be good. So like that was
- 30:21Speaker 1: the best part. Like you said, I was. I was
- 30:22Speaker 1: nervous that I was gonna get locked in the brace
- 30:25Speaker 1: and I was gonna be screwed. But like right away,
- 30:27Speaker 1: they're bending it, They're doing everything again, trying to get
- 30:29Speaker 1: the range of motion back. I'm on a bike. Like
- 30:32Speaker 1: so in about two weeks, like it was, it was
- 30:35Speaker 1: brace is on, but I'm walking, you know. And then
- 30:39Speaker 1: three weeks brace was off and now I'm walking, And
- 30:41Speaker 1: so it was kind of like a smooth transition after that.
- 30:43Speaker 1: But yeah, like I said, I can imagine like being
- 30:46Speaker 1: locked in the brace for yeah, six weeks.
- 30:48Speaker 2: To give you that little machine where you like put
- 30:50Speaker 2: your foot in it like moves it.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Yeah, really, Oh my gosh, dude, you liked it.
- 30:56Speaker 2: I didn't, not that I liked it, but like my
- 30:57Speaker 2: brain would be like you're getting better just by life.
- 31:00Speaker 1: One hundred percent. Yeah. You know, like when it was
- 31:02Speaker 1: like ten degrees every day, they told me ten degrees
- 31:05Speaker 1: every day, So like I started at like sixty or
- 31:07Speaker 1: seventy degrees, it's easy, and then it's easy, and then
- 31:10Speaker 1: you go eighty, and then you go ninety, and then
- 31:13Speaker 1: like you know, six days in, you're at like one
- 31:15Speaker 1: twenty and.
- 31:15Speaker 2: I'm like, this is like your first two I might
- 31:19Speaker 2: really be Wolverine. Oh yeah, I'm superhuman.
- 31:21Speaker 1: Like the first two suck, and then you start to
- 31:23Speaker 1: get warmed up and you're like, all right, I can
- 31:25Speaker 1: do this for how want.
- 31:26Speaker 3: To How hard has it been to stay patient? Because
- 31:29Speaker 3: obviously as athletes, we all place like expectations on ourselves
- 31:32Speaker 3: to get back by a certain timeline. How hard has
- 31:34Speaker 3: it been for you to like stay patient throughout the
- 31:36Speaker 3: process and kind of trust what everybody else is telling you,
- 31:39Speaker 3: like going into training camp. I'm sure again in your
- 31:41Speaker 3: mind you have some time that you would like to
- 31:43Speaker 3: be back or outdo those expectations one hundred percent.
- 31:47Speaker 1: You know, I think they have done a really good
- 31:50Speaker 1: job by like being like hey, like I'm not gonna
- 31:53Speaker 1: let you do this, you know, because I'm I told
- 31:55Speaker 1: them right at the beginning when I did it, and
- 31:58Speaker 1: after I got the surgery, I was like, you're gonna
- 31:59Speaker 1: have to stop me, because like I'm a person that
- 32:02Speaker 1: likes to push the limits, and like I want to
- 32:04Speaker 1: do things, and I'll do it and I'll say it
- 32:08Speaker 1: doesn't really bother me, even though it probably did a
- 32:10Speaker 1: little bit. And so they've been really good about being like, hey,
- 32:14Speaker 1: you can't do this, you know, and like now I'm
- 32:17Speaker 1: at the point where I can almost do everything. I mean,
- 32:19Speaker 1: the only thing right now that's kind of limiting to
- 32:21Speaker 1: me is I can't run fifteen yards and then cut
- 32:25Speaker 1: right off of it, Like that's just still dangerous. I
- 32:27Speaker 1: could probably do it. But like they're like, like I said,
- 32:29Speaker 1: I'm only five and a half months out, so I
- 32:31Speaker 1: got time. You know. It'll be like I think these
- 32:36Speaker 1: guys are really smart about the timeline, you know, because
- 32:40Speaker 1: like biology is biology, and you come back seven months,
- 32:44Speaker 1: there's like a twenty five percent risk of injury eight months,
- 32:47Speaker 1: like fifteen, you come back after nine, it's like less
- 32:50Speaker 1: than five, you know. So it's like I think they're
- 32:52Speaker 1: they're going to be really smart with how they do
- 32:54Speaker 1: it and how they transition, and they have a lot
- 32:57Speaker 1: of science and a lot of like you know, measurements
- 33:02Speaker 1: where they can measure my left to my right now,
- 33:04Speaker 1: and so that's huge. But yeah, I mean it's like
- 33:07Speaker 1: I'm I'm fortunate enough that I'm in the time I
- 33:11Speaker 1: am with with medicine and like like how everything is
- 33:16Speaker 1: and PT and the progression of everything. Because if this happened,
- 33:20Speaker 1: you know, ten or fifteen years ago, you know, you
- 33:22Speaker 1: talk to guys and they're like, yeah, my knee is
- 33:24Speaker 1: still screwed up. But like, like I said, I'm only
- 33:26Speaker 1: at five and a half and it's starting to feel
- 33:28Speaker 1: like like it was again.
- 33:30Speaker 2: You know, No, you don't have any of that no
- 33:32Speaker 2: pain nothing.
- 33:33Speaker 1: I haven't really had the pain. I mean, like yeah,
- 33:37Speaker 1: like I'll do a little shock wave if I get something,
- 33:40Speaker 1: but then it's gone. So I haven't really had the
- 33:43Speaker 1: like crazy pain in it. So that's been huge. But yeah,
- 33:49Speaker 1: I mean, I, like I said, I've been I've been
- 33:50Speaker 1: kind of fortunate enough because it's kind of been like
- 33:52Speaker 1: a smooth progression and I haven't had a day where
- 33:56Speaker 1: like obviously knock on wood, but like I haven't had
- 33:59Speaker 1: a day where I'm like, oh, shit, this is worse
- 34:03Speaker 1: today than it was yesterday. Like I'm I've been a
- 34:05Speaker 1: smooth progression up and that's been huge.
- 34:08Speaker 2: It's it's awesome to have a doctor like Elatrosh who
- 34:10Speaker 2: has like this like almost like too confident, like cocky.
- 34:15Speaker 2: It's about the star. But this the poison which he
- 34:19Speaker 2: comes in. Let's say he floats into the room and
- 34:20Speaker 2: the way he speaks to your like, this is the
- 34:22Speaker 2: guy I definitely want doing my surgery. And then his
- 34:24Speaker 2: team as well. I thought when I spent a couple
- 34:27Speaker 2: of weeks there, I thought they were absolutely incredible, amazing,
- 34:30Speaker 2: unreal and it was great too because like you know,
- 34:33Speaker 2: I again, I was at one twenty and then I
- 34:37Speaker 2: went I went in for surgery like three days or
- 34:40Speaker 2: four days.
- 34:40Speaker 1: It might have been five days before I actually had it.
- 34:43Speaker 1: Like I went in the day before like that day
- 34:46Speaker 1: was gonna have surgery. They shaved my leg, they like
- 34:49Speaker 1: give me everything, They put me on, hooked me up
- 34:51Speaker 1: to an IV. Elatrosh comes in and he's like he
- 34:53Speaker 1: bends my knee. He's like, Nope, not there yet. I
- 34:56Speaker 1: go home, like what do you what do you say?
- 34:59Speaker 2: Not there yet?
- 34:59Speaker 1: For like because I wasn't at one twenty, like I
- 35:01Speaker 1: was at like one fifteen or one eighteen. He's like, nope,
- 35:04Speaker 1: not there yet. So he's like, oh okay. So he
- 35:07Speaker 1: sent me home and then I went to the PT
- 35:09Speaker 1: like an hour later. They were cranking on it. And
- 35:12Speaker 1: then I got to one twenty that day, and then
- 35:14Speaker 1: five days later I was at like one thirty, you know.
- 35:17Speaker 1: So he was like, good thing. We waited, and then
- 35:20Speaker 1: five days later I went we got it, and he's like,
- 35:22Speaker 1: this is gonna be perfect, Like you don't have to
- 35:24Speaker 1: worry about anything. He's like, the surgery went absolutely incredible,
- 35:28Speaker 1: Like couldn't have gone any better.
- 35:29Speaker 3: You know.
- 35:29Speaker 1: I'm like, all right, let's go, Yeah, let's go. You know, yeah,
- 35:35Speaker 1: the great job.
- 35:37Speaker 2: I was gonna pivot back into it.
- 35:38Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I was gonna say. And with that TJ.
- 35:40Speaker 3: Obviously the Boys we don't play anymore. We're a little
- 35:43Speaker 3: washed up, but we are as you know, with bustle
- 35:45Speaker 3: with the Boys. We got to be a voice of
- 35:47Speaker 3: the people. So let's you say we're into different hobbies.
- 35:49Speaker 3: Let's call it fantasy football. Would you advise us to
- 35:53Speaker 3: put you on our on our draft board? Are we
- 35:55Speaker 3: looking waiver wire? Let's say London game five, Week six.
- 36:01Speaker 1: I don't know. You have to call it Roger, I
- 36:03Speaker 1: don't know if I'll get in trouble for any inside information.
- 36:07Speaker 2: What a way to try?
- 36:09Speaker 3: Should we put you on the day one board of
- 36:11Speaker 3: world and yourself drafted for Fantasy football? Or we look
- 36:14Speaker 3: in name your name is going.
- 36:17Speaker 1: To be up there?
- 36:17Speaker 2: Just how far down the list is it on there?
- 36:19Speaker 1: Yeah? I think that's for you to decide.
- 36:22Speaker 2: Late round guy, Late round guy is still drafted. Got
- 36:25Speaker 2: to because you see the articles coming out, they say
- 36:27Speaker 2: you're what return week five? You're going to London? And
- 36:32Speaker 2: you see he used playing in London? Have you played
- 36:34Speaker 2: in London before?
- 36:35Speaker 1: I haven't.
- 36:35Speaker 2: No, There's that be a little bit of excitement there.
- 36:38Speaker 3: Yeah, either excitement or hey, thank god, I might not
- 36:41Speaker 3: have to go to London.
- 36:41Speaker 2: Yeah, because can I tell you something that's a great experience.
- 36:44Speaker 2: But it does suck. Yeah, I'm sure it depends how
- 36:49Speaker 2: you do it.
- 36:50Speaker 1: You guys are I think we're doing the three thing? Yeah,
- 36:53Speaker 1: we're central.
- 36:55Speaker 3: You're probably gonna go out flother on Thursday back after
- 36:58Speaker 3: the game.
- 36:58Speaker 1: I think so that is the best.
- 37:01Speaker 2: I think the best way to do it as far
- 37:02Speaker 2: as like you just shocked the body because you supposed
- 37:05Speaker 2: to sleep all the way there, and on the way
- 37:07Speaker 2: back you stay up all night, which is a nice
- 37:09Speaker 2: little deal because you basically land back. Yeah, you land
- 37:13Speaker 2: back in Minnesota, like I think in the morning or
- 37:17Speaker 2: at night or something like that. It's pivots in a
- 37:19Speaker 2: way where you can go to sleep when you land
- 37:21Speaker 2: back in the in the United States.
- 37:23Speaker 3: Or you can go to sleep when you land back.
- 37:24Speaker 6: Yeah, you might.
- 37:25Speaker 3: On the way there, you throw yourself a little ambient
- 37:27Speaker 3: in knock out for about seven hours and then it's
- 37:29Speaker 3: hit the ground run and you got to make special
- 37:30Speaker 3: that work. Ambient.
- 37:33Speaker 2: Yeah it works, doesn't.
- 37:36Speaker 3: Yeah, I did it for our first London game from Washington. Yeah,
- 37:39Speaker 3: I think a gummy just kid. It doesn't. It doesn't.
- 37:41Speaker 3: It doesn't work. Like it doesn't work that well because
- 37:44Speaker 3: you're just you're all fucked up anyway, you know what
- 37:45Speaker 3: I mean. Like, before you travel on the plane, you
- 37:48Speaker 3: have the rookies or the guys go get whatever it is,
- 37:49Speaker 3: let's say, pop bellies, and you're eating that as your
- 37:52Speaker 3: meal before you get on the plane. You're trying to
- 37:53Speaker 3: fall asleep. You can't necessarily fall asleep because it's truly
- 37:56Speaker 3: right after practice and then when you got to make
- 37:59Speaker 3: the meetings right when you get it there, like it's
- 38:00Speaker 3: it's abysmal. Now the positive is coaches usually pretty good.
- 38:04Speaker 3: You only do like a helmets only practice, like a
- 38:06Speaker 3: walk through style just to get and let's just get
- 38:08Speaker 3: under us, like just put your focus into this. Boys,
- 38:11Speaker 3: we know this sucks. Like the food there's not that
- 38:14Speaker 3: fucking good.
- 38:15Speaker 7: It's a brutal Look at that photo fish and right
- 38:21Speaker 7: there fish, that's all You'll get their eggs over there,
- 38:24Speaker 7: like the hotel, the hotels.
- 38:26Speaker 3: That I've been at over there, it's like when they
- 38:28Speaker 3: cater the food in the morning, make the food in
- 38:29Speaker 3: the morning. The eggs taste different. It's just not that.
- 38:32Speaker 2: That's because of eggs, soupy eggs.
- 38:37Speaker 1: Why why do we do that?
- 38:39Speaker 3: They'll do they'll like have those little eggs sitting out.
- 38:42Speaker 3: I don't what do you even call those? They car
- 38:44Speaker 3: boiled kind of.
- 38:46Speaker 2: Soft poached egg don't have the shell on it, do they?
- 38:51Speaker 3: The bacon is real. The bacon's real thin, real thin
- 38:55Speaker 3: and floppy. Not very appetite.
- 38:57Speaker 2: Behind them, but a London is where four point five
- 39:01Speaker 2: started by Corey eleven. We get on the way there
- 39:04Speaker 2: they give us sandwiches and Corey goes not a whole
- 39:07Speaker 2: lot of ass behind this, and they were like, oh,
- 39:09Speaker 2: rate it for us, Corey, and he literally described it
- 39:11Speaker 2: and then just said four point five. And that's truly
- 39:13Speaker 2: how four point five was established.
- 39:15Speaker 1: I don't even know.
- 39:15Speaker 3: You know a lot of people. I know you've seen this,
- 39:18Speaker 3: but a lot of people think it's Shane's been I know,
- 39:20Speaker 3: because of the US something's burning. That is truly, that's
- 39:22Speaker 3: actually Corey eleven. Yeah, I was gonna give us the credit.
- 39:25Speaker 3: That's Corey eleven joke. Four point four point five.
- 39:28Speaker 2: Is a rating system that we do, but we never
- 39:30Speaker 2: do four point five out of blah. We just give
- 39:33Speaker 2: a description and at the NCA four point five and
- 39:35Speaker 2: the whole rating system is based on the description you get.
- 39:38Speaker 2: So if I were to say, could be.
- 39:41Speaker 3: The best four point five you've ever heard or the worst.
- 39:43Speaker 2: Four point But we know, we know in life nothing's perfect.
- 39:45Speaker 2: That's why it's always a four point five, even I
- 39:47Speaker 2: it's a four point six.
- 39:49Speaker 1: That's wisdom.
- 39:50Speaker 2: It is always always a little piece of getting better.
- 39:53Speaker 1: Yeah, we did our wedding and why like three weeks ago.
- 39:57Speaker 3: Congratulations on that. I appreciate gratulations.
- 40:00Speaker 1: On that that that time change coming back kicked my ass.
- 40:04Speaker 1: But five hours like behind. Uh. Then I had to
- 40:08Speaker 1: do a photo shoot the next day, suck shoot for
- 40:12Speaker 1: the Yeah your wife?
- 40:14Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah yeah, like something cool, Yeah, something cool.
- 40:20Speaker 1: Yeah, it's unreal.
- 40:22Speaker 3: How is your how is your game? In the proposal?
- 40:25Speaker 1: It was good. It was super chill, like we're we're
- 40:27Speaker 1: kind of like, uh, we're two people that are small
- 40:31Speaker 1: town people obviously, and it's not like a big ordeal,
- 40:37Speaker 1: you know, like you do. She's a she's a big
- 40:41Speaker 1: horse person. So like we did it at her mom.
- 40:45Speaker 1: Her mom's got some land out in eastern Tennessee. And yeah,
- 40:49Speaker 1: there you go. She got some land out in eastern Tennessee.
- 40:52Speaker 1: So we did a little horseback ride. And then after uh,
- 40:57Speaker 1: we were out in the middle of a field or whatever,
- 40:59Speaker 1: and I got down and she got down and we
- 41:03Speaker 1: hung out for a second and then.
- 41:06Speaker 2: Just dues, you know, we were in the fields and
- 41:12Speaker 2: I asked her bro talk about how nervous you work
- 41:15Speaker 2: to insane everybody.
- 41:17Speaker 1: I was not nervous, even like on the on the
- 41:20Speaker 1: like horse ride, it wasn't work nervous at all. And
- 41:23Speaker 1: then when we got on our feet on the ground.
- 41:25Speaker 1: I was like shaking.
- 41:28Speaker 3: It so scary.
- 41:30Speaker 2: Take the decision. You're like, this is going to be
- 41:32Speaker 2: the person, and you feel so good about once the
- 41:34Speaker 2: ring like you know, they're sit in your hand, You're legit, like,
- 41:36Speaker 2: oh my god, what am I doing? It's the scariest thing. Ever,
- 41:41Speaker 2: how did you ask, do you have a nice little
- 41:43Speaker 2: you write a little something out or did you say, hey, listen,
- 41:45Speaker 2: here's the deal.
- 41:46Speaker 1: I don't know. Honestly, I kind of blocked out so
- 41:49Speaker 1: she could tell you a little better. I mean, she says, I,
- 41:52Speaker 1: I just said I love you right.
- 41:58Speaker 3: Crying?
- 41:59Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, No, I wasn't then, but at the wedding
- 42:03Speaker 1: I had some tears coming out.
- 42:04Speaker 2: So yeah, did you guys do the whole like don't
- 42:07Speaker 2: see each other day of the wedding thing?
- 42:08Speaker 1: Yeah, no, we didn't. She didn't sleep and like in
- 42:11Speaker 1: the same room with me the night before traditional going
- 42:15Speaker 1: to heaven for sure, that's the plan, man, Thanks, thank
- 42:18Speaker 1: the Lord of no It's it's been fun. It was
- 42:23Speaker 1: an incredible experience. We were out there for a week
- 42:26Speaker 1: with just both of our families and a couple of
- 42:28Speaker 1: like real close friends and just thirty people and did
- 42:31Speaker 1: boat rides, like, played golf, chilled out. That was good.
- 42:35Speaker 2: Super intimate is a beautiful destination.
- 42:39Speaker 3: He'll give you some crystal piece for the wedding ring
- 42:44Speaker 3: to sit on.
- 42:45Speaker 1: No he so Neil got us meet from like as
- 42:49Speaker 1: a wedding gift. Yeah, like hell yeah yeah, wagou be sorry?
- 42:54Speaker 1: And from where do you know where? I don't remember
- 42:57Speaker 1: where he sent it from, but it's incredible.
- 43:00Speaker 3: Like, dude, he was for like an hour one day.
- 43:03Speaker 3: I think JP you were in the car. I wouldn't
- 43:05Speaker 3: be surprised if it was Diamond j Wago because he like,
- 43:09Speaker 3: you know, he just probes you on Costco and fucking yeah.
- 43:14Speaker 1: Yeah, but this has nothing on Costco, Like this is
- 43:17Speaker 1: the best.
- 43:18Speaker 3: You can't go Costco. No, he loves Costco. You get
- 43:23Speaker 3: the King crab legs. That's what he just talks about it.
- 43:25Speaker 2: You'd be hard fought to find a person that doesn't
- 43:27Speaker 2: enjoy Costco.
- 43:28Speaker 3: Yeah, he's big on Costco.
- 43:30Speaker 8: Uh.
- 43:31Speaker 2: You brought it that you and your wife are both
- 43:33Speaker 2: like small towns.
- 43:34Speaker 1: Yeah get it.
- 43:35Speaker 2: How much of a culture shock was it for you
- 43:37Speaker 2: when you got in the NFL? All this money, people
- 43:39Speaker 2: wearing jewelry, driving rolls voices around. Coming from a small town.
- 43:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I try not to get caught up in that fact,
- 43:45Speaker 1: but yeah, it was nuts. I mean when you go
- 43:48Speaker 1: and like obviously from a small town, you know like
- 43:52Speaker 1: who you're talking to, you know, But then when you
- 43:54Speaker 1: go to a big city and they know you but
- 43:57Speaker 1: you don't know them, it's a little weird, you know,
- 43:59Speaker 1: like yeah, uh, hey did you you know, and you're
- 44:02Speaker 1: like hey, man, like what's going on? Like how are you?
- 44:05Speaker 1: What's your name? You know that kind of thing you.
- 44:07Speaker 3: Get stuck in the awkward like am I supposed to
- 44:09Speaker 3: know this?
- 44:10Speaker 1: Yeah? Like yeah, that's kind of what it was. And no,
- 44:13Speaker 1: but like the whole Rolls Royce like all that kind
- 44:15Speaker 1: of stuff, like I've never gotten to I've never been
- 44:18Speaker 1: like a intangible person, like I don't need certain things
- 44:22Speaker 1: to feel you know, successful. I guess did you.
- 44:25Speaker 2: Ever felt like, uh, kind of like you should maybe
- 44:30Speaker 2: get something because you're in the NFL. Did you ever
- 44:32Speaker 2: feel like you see all the people, you see these
- 44:33Speaker 2: ten year vets with all these things, you know, he's
- 44:35Speaker 2: got part of you. Yeah, no question, Oh yeah there
- 44:38Speaker 2: is that small town cat and you that's like I'm
- 44:40Speaker 2: always going to be a small town cat. I'm always
- 44:42Speaker 2: gonna be a bond Teran Missouri, a Kate Creek, Arizona dude.
- 44:44Speaker 2: And then you get to the league and you see
- 44:45Speaker 2: these guys rocking, you know, and then you're like, maybe
- 44:49Speaker 2: I should get something for myself. And there's always that,
- 44:52Speaker 2: like you got fight of character, but there's always like
- 44:55Speaker 2: a little bit of a deal where you're like, should
- 44:56Speaker 2: I be doing this though?
- 44:58Speaker 1: You know? I get that a lot, like a little
- 45:00Speaker 1: demon on this shoulder, and then one like chirping my ear.
- 45:03Speaker 2: Yeah, then you get something nice and you're like, I
- 45:04Speaker 2: want my boys would say back home, you're driving this
- 45:07Speaker 2: now you've changed, You've changed.
- 45:10Speaker 1: That's the worst. Yes, that really gets you in your head,
- 45:13Speaker 1: It really does.
- 45:14Speaker 3: Ma'am off that what has been your biggest purchase because
- 45:17Speaker 3: you signed a nice, little hefty deal.
- 45:18Speaker 1: Not too long ago, biggest purchase so far.
- 45:22Speaker 3: Yeah, like something that you've been like, all right, I'm
- 45:24Speaker 3: gonna splur it now with myself.
- 45:27Speaker 1: I got some land. I got some land.
- 45:29Speaker 3: You got some land.
- 45:31Speaker 1: I got some land in Iowa one hundred and fifty
- 45:35Speaker 1: Acres's I feel like Brandon Sheriff did the same exact thing. Yeah,
- 45:39Speaker 1: I mean, well, I'm looking for some down here, but
- 45:42Speaker 1: it's insane.
- 45:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I got one hundred and fifty acres in Iowa. Okay,
- 45:45Speaker 2: after you spent that forty seven dollars, you get crazy.
- 45:50Speaker 2: Oh great deal. How much that costs? One hundred fifty acres?
- 45:54Speaker 3: Three hundred?
- 45:55Speaker 1: No, come on, you're right way less?
- 45:57Speaker 2: What is it?
- 45:58Speaker 1: What it's dude? People love hunting in Iowa, Like it's
- 46:02Speaker 1: straight hunting land.
- 46:03Speaker 3: So like, but what's the real estate out there? Like
- 46:05Speaker 3: a paraker?
- 46:06Speaker 8: Uh?
- 46:07Speaker 3: Because like in Misuri it was like one to five thousand.
- 46:11Speaker 1: It's probably like ten eight to ten in where I
- 46:15Speaker 1: was looking because it's like, like I said, it's like
- 46:17Speaker 1: the best hunting land that you can get, you know. So,
- 46:20Speaker 1: so you.
- 46:20Speaker 3: Got some stands out there, you got a camp set.
- 46:22Speaker 1: Up, some stands, some cams, like I mean, the I
- 46:26Speaker 1: think the state record at least don't quote me on this,
- 46:29Speaker 1: but this is what I was told the state record. Yeah,
- 46:31Speaker 1: of course, the state record was probably like fifteen or
- 46:35Speaker 1: twenty miles away from my land. That was a buck.
- 46:39Speaker 2: So yeah, dude, hunting is such a thing that I
- 46:42Speaker 2: want to be into so bad.
- 46:44Speaker 1: It's fun.
- 46:44Speaker 2: I want to be that guy, Yeah, you just sorry, No,
- 46:48Speaker 2: I just I just I don't think I've had enough
- 46:49Speaker 2: access and we went and did uh.
- 46:51Speaker 3: I was gonna say, you kind of just I gotta
- 46:53Speaker 3: get you on that trip too.
- 46:55Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. But like I have a bunch of boys
- 46:57Speaker 2: that always like, you should come hunting with me.
- 46:59Speaker 1: You should.
- 47:00Speaker 2: I just don't and I should. But when I when
- 47:03Speaker 2: I do go, I think to myself, it'd be great
- 47:05Speaker 2: to do this more. But then I get by myself again.
- 47:08Speaker 2: I'm like, where do I fucking start? Yeah, I can
- 47:10Speaker 2: buy the gun, but after that it's like I'm just
- 47:11Speaker 2: gonna walk around and was.
- 47:13Speaker 3: Like, oh, you're supposed to sit here for a yeah?
- 47:15Speaker 1: Oh bro, yeah you can go down a rabbit hole
- 47:17Speaker 1: for sure.
- 47:18Speaker 2: It's just a crazy world. I just feel I'm so
- 47:20Speaker 2: far behind now. It's hard from against because you get
- 47:22Speaker 2: around the meat eater guys like Steve and then and
- 47:25Speaker 2: they're just encyclopedias when it comes to hunting, this, that
- 47:28Speaker 2: and the other of all the things you can do,
- 47:30Speaker 2: and it's like, man, do I really want to dive
- 47:31Speaker 2: into this world?
- 47:32Speaker 1: And I don't know all that? Like I'm not on
- 47:34Speaker 1: that level. But you can, like, yeah, I can do
- 47:37Speaker 1: that fire for a turkey. Yeah, like I can, I
- 47:40Speaker 1: can do all that, but I mean I don't know
- 47:44Speaker 1: a lot of that stuff. Like I'd love to go
- 47:47Speaker 1: hunting in Alaska, like they talk about like el hunting, moose, hunting, bear, grizzly.
- 47:52Speaker 2: I think bears the move.
- 47:54Speaker 1: That'd be so sick. There's a buddy of mine that
- 47:56Speaker 1: was like he was following this bear for a long
- 47:58Speaker 1: time and like five or six miles and they were
- 48:01Speaker 1: tracking it and then the bear they turned around and
- 48:04Speaker 1: the bear was tracking that.
- 48:05Speaker 2: Oh shit, and so like a Mexican standoff.
- 48:08Speaker 1: Yeah, like that's that's scary. Like you'd have to have
- 48:13Speaker 1: a guide for that, but yeah, I think that would
- 48:15Speaker 1: be sick.
- 48:16Speaker 2: Like this is how green I am. Like I was
- 48:17Speaker 2: in Canada camping with my family for twelve out of
- 48:20Speaker 2: fourteen days, and legit, every morning I woke up, I
- 48:23Speaker 2: was kind of nervous. So when my wife come with
- 48:25Speaker 2: me outside, so there'd be like bears and cookars everywhere,
- 48:28Speaker 2: didn't see either. Yeah, but I just think to myself,
- 48:30Speaker 2: these motherfuckers are out here right, They're out there doing
- 48:33Speaker 2: their thing.
- 48:33Speaker 1: Yeah. My brother's like big into like going to Colorado
- 48:37Speaker 1: and like camping. He's got a jeep that's like all
- 48:39Speaker 1: set up. He's got a rooftop tent all that, and
- 48:42Speaker 1: he'll go out and he's like lights a campfire and
- 48:46Speaker 1: then he finds like a little wooded area and he's
- 48:49Speaker 1: got his dog. But his dog will like just growl
- 48:52Speaker 1: into the woods like around him, and like he'll hear
- 48:54Speaker 1: like cracking and stuff, and he's just like, can't think
- 48:57Speaker 1: about it, you know, you can't think about it. But
- 48:59Speaker 1: like he's also got it, you know, a gun on
- 49:01Speaker 1: his hip and everything. But like that, that's that's scary. Yeah,
- 49:05Speaker 1: being out there by yourself, no one around anywhere.
- 49:08Speaker 2: Canada's like to get a gun. They don't really do
- 49:11Speaker 2: the whole gun thing up there. So you do handhand
- 49:13Speaker 2: combat with.
- 49:13Speaker 3: A bear like that.
- 49:16Speaker 2: It's crazy. I would feel so much safer I've had
- 49:18Speaker 2: like a give me even a twenty two.
- 49:20Speaker 3: Something, I can just crack off, you know, give me
- 49:24Speaker 3: a pelic.
- 49:24Speaker 2: Gun, just get yeah something, man. But it is kind
- 49:27Speaker 2: of scary. It's so funny seeing like my wife and
- 49:29Speaker 2: her mom and they're just like, yeah, it'll be fine,
- 49:32Speaker 2: it's fine. I'm thinking myself, bro, it's not because.
- 49:35Speaker 3: I'm we are not fine.
- 49:38Speaker 2: We're not fine because I'm thinking, if something does happen,
- 49:41Speaker 2: I've got to be the one to sacrifice myself, the
- 49:44Speaker 2: whole women and children. First thing, the Titanic. I'm the
- 49:47Speaker 2: only guy out there. Yeah, and they're saying it's gonna
- 49:49Speaker 2: be fine. Yeah, because I have to die, right, you know,
- 49:51Speaker 2: I'm the first sacrificial lamp. Yeah, and I'm just I
- 49:54Speaker 2: don't know if I'm mad enough to do it.
- 49:55Speaker 1: Brother, Like a pack of wolves would be the scariest
- 49:58Speaker 1: ah see, I don't think so. Man, what do you have?
- 50:01Speaker 1: Like a pack of wolves?
- 50:02Speaker 3: Like pack of wolves would be crippling.
- 50:05Speaker 1: That's what I mean. Like I would rather see a
- 50:07Speaker 1: grizzly than a pack of wolves.
- 50:11Speaker 2: I don't know, dude, seeing you know, you would piste
- 50:13Speaker 2: down your legs.
- 50:14Speaker 3: But if you were to pack of wolves out there,
- 50:16Speaker 3: but one dog's gone, you seek a bunch of wolves.
- 50:19Speaker 2: You see a bunch of wolves, it's like all right,
- 50:21Speaker 2: Like you know, she's not gonna go your way, but
- 50:22Speaker 2: there's a in my mind, you're gonna take one of
- 50:25Speaker 2: those fuckers out first, or at least get a couple punches.
- 50:28Speaker 2: You see a big like there's a bear, there's a
- 50:31Speaker 2: video yourself a bear like rummaging through and photos gonna
- 50:34Speaker 2: take it.
- 50:35Speaker 3: And it's just a if you guys something grab the
- 50:37Speaker 3: mic man well. And then by the way, if it
- 50:39Speaker 3: is one wolf, like you like your chances right, that's yeah.
- 50:43Speaker 1: But you're talking, You're talking a pack of wolves like
- 50:45Speaker 1: they're chirping from each angle, like you're like, like, which
- 50:50Speaker 1: one's coming.
- 50:51Speaker 2: But part of me is like, if I just see one,
- 50:53Speaker 2: I'll start fighting this one. Then eventually I'm gonna get touk.
- 50:56Speaker 2: But like you see a bit, like you see that
- 50:57Speaker 2: motherfucker right there just looking at you. That is so
- 51:00Speaker 2: much scary bears to me, I would be scariest. And
- 51:04Speaker 2: in Canada, people in Canada are like, oh, you don't
- 51:06Speaker 2: work about bears. You know, we're about cougars because you
- 51:08Speaker 2: don't see until they got you. I'm thinking, oh my god.
- 51:12Speaker 3: You had something.
- 51:12Speaker 2: Look at this dude pulled the pistol out of course.
- 51:15Speaker 6: You filled in you you checked yourself.
- 51:18Speaker 5: When we were having an argument about would you rather
- 51:20Speaker 5: fight a giraffe or a wolf wolf.
- 51:27Speaker 3: A giraffe, yeah, one giraffe like that thing, everybody was
- 51:33Speaker 3: unanimous except for JP.
- 51:35Speaker 2: What and look at this one on one.
- 51:38Speaker 3: Look at that.
- 51:39Speaker 1: I don't think they're getting as low as you are though,
- 51:40Speaker 1: that's what I'm saying.
- 51:41Speaker 3: But you're getting stomped out.
- 51:44Speaker 2: I was at the I was at the Nashville Zoo
- 51:46Speaker 2: and I was feeding like lettuce exactly. There came out
- 51:50Speaker 2: his face is here, and then he stuck his tongue.
- 51:52Speaker 2: Their tongues are this long. They got that little confidence quickly, definitely,
- 51:59Speaker 2: But dude, yeah, and they got them. They got the
- 52:01Speaker 2: horns on top of put that thing on you. The wolves,
- 52:05Speaker 2: to me, it is just a that's a dog.
- 52:06Speaker 6: Dude.
- 52:09Speaker 1: They're bigger than I know.
- 52:10Speaker 2: They're like one hundred and forty five pounds. But I'm
- 52:12Speaker 2: telling you, bro.
- 52:14Speaker 1: There's a pack of wolf taking titanka.
- 52:16Speaker 3: I mean, we've all seen the gray, right.
- 52:19Speaker 2: I have not seen the gray grow, but I've seen
- 52:21Speaker 2: I've seen this scene where he's like breaking the bottles,
- 52:23Speaker 2: taping his hands, and then I've seen that scene on Instagram,
- 52:27Speaker 2: which is like, yeah, that's crazy. See that's a whole
- 52:29Speaker 2: bunch of boys working together.
- 52:31Speaker 3: You know, let's let's let jp get some words in.
- 52:34Speaker 6: Oh no, have you seen Lord of the Rings?
- 52:37Speaker 1: Yeah? No.
- 52:37Speaker 5: When I was like legless and them are taking down mammots,
- 52:42Speaker 5: and a man with this will be a whole lot
- 52:44Speaker 5: tougher to take down and than a giraffe.
- 52:48Speaker 6: It's a fictional situation.
- 52:51Speaker 2: A draft is fucking you up. First off, to get
- 52:54Speaker 2: to any man artery, you got to climb up a
- 52:56Speaker 2: damn tree to get that thing.
- 52:57Speaker 5: They're not even killers who giraffes. They'll kill your ask
- 53:01Speaker 5: no question, We'll see your giraffe out there.
- 53:04Speaker 6: Listening to the show.
- 53:08Speaker 2: This is the clip, This is the Clipper talking about that.
- 53:09Speaker 2: It's realistic. You are a crazy person, the most insane
- 53:16Speaker 2: shit ever.
- 53:17Speaker 6: Bro, What are you talking?
- 53:18Speaker 2: This dude climbing up a thirty story elist.
- 53:20Speaker 1: Of this dude?
- 53:21Speaker 6: It's Orlando Bloom Bro.
- 53:22Speaker 2: Yeah, who's he playing? The guy went and saw the
- 53:26Speaker 2: first Lord of the Rings with my grandmother when I
- 53:28Speaker 2: was like eleven years old, and the one with the guy,
- 53:31Speaker 2: the one of the main dudes is like hiding behind
- 53:33Speaker 2: a tree and these dudes on black horses are chasing him.
- 53:35Speaker 2: Look at my grandma was like, we gotta get out
- 53:37Speaker 2: of here. It was too scary for me.
- 53:38Speaker 6: You're gimli.
- 53:39Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm gonna take that as an insult.
- 53:41Speaker 2: I guess, don't laugh like that. Man, you can't laugh
- 53:44Speaker 2: at jokes. I don't know, but yeah, you gotta take
- 53:48Speaker 2: down a wolf.
- 53:49Speaker 1: Man, a singular wolf that's not.
- 53:52Speaker 2: A single wolf for sure.
- 53:54Speaker 3: I mean we're gonna lose to sing a single wolf,
- 53:56Speaker 3: but all right, we have better chances, easier.
- 53:59Speaker 5: Death against the giraffe and stop, so you're done. Wolf
- 54:01Speaker 5: might tear your arm apart, might get your foot, yeah,
- 54:04Speaker 5: and you just suffer.
- 54:05Speaker 3: Wait a minute, you think you're taking down an alpha wolf.
- 54:08Speaker 2: I think I'm taking down like a mother wolf. No,
- 54:11Speaker 2: like a like a baby, an old wolf or a
- 54:13Speaker 2: baby wolf. Oh yeah, an older one, like one that's
- 54:17Speaker 2: been in the block for a minute.
- 54:18Speaker 3: Dude, Can I admit something. I've started the keeps process
- 54:23Speaker 3: on what my corners? Do you see the light corners
- 54:25Speaker 3: that that are happening? You see I've started like putting
- 54:30Speaker 3: the dripper dripper on it. Yeah, yeah, nice little bit.
- 54:34Speaker 2: I think at this stage of the game, for like
- 54:36Speaker 2: hair loss, for a hair loss or we like retrieving
- 54:39Speaker 2: your hair, it's no longer a taboo deal. Like you
- 54:42Speaker 2: play in the NFL for nine years, do you did
- 54:44Speaker 2: good for you should be embarrassed? No, I started doing
- 54:47Speaker 2: Keeps starting. I was on the phone with somebody that
- 54:49Speaker 2: we know I will not stay on this on the
- 54:51Speaker 2: show right now, who was like, dude, I'm gonna do
- 54:53Speaker 2: I'm gonna get hair transplants. I was like, you should
- 54:56Speaker 2: just run that and just just do it and be
- 54:58Speaker 2: proud of it.
- 54:59Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, I think the problem is though I don't
- 55:02Speaker 3: know which parts of my head I'm going to parts
- 55:05Speaker 3: of my hair I'm going to lose. So I feel
- 55:07Speaker 3: like if I fix like the corners right now, what
- 55:08Speaker 3: if something came later on.
- 55:09Speaker 2: You just go back, it's gonna be the the sooner
- 55:13Speaker 2: you do it, the change is gonna yeah, because they
- 55:17Speaker 2: just take the little back part. They take this part
- 55:18Speaker 2: right here, and they just put it up here and
- 55:20Speaker 2: you can do.
- 55:22Speaker 3: Let's see you in a couple of months from now.
- 55:23Speaker 3: I think Keep's gonna get me right.
- 55:25Speaker 2: I think you should go to Turkey after KEEPS. I
- 55:27Speaker 2: mean Keeps a save your ass. But what's in Turkey
- 55:30Speaker 2: That's where like people go to their hair transplants. Oh
- 55:32Speaker 2: really Yeah, they actually have like a crazy medical system
- 55:35Speaker 2: up there. But I've got a little wormfull with those things.
- 55:41Speaker 2: But there's like a bunch of like videos of people
- 55:43Speaker 2: flying back from Turkey and they all got like the
- 55:45Speaker 2: cold a sack with the bandages on top, because that's
- 55:48Speaker 2: like it's like cheap and like well done. There's wild
- 55:51Speaker 2: getting get off, get out.
- 55:52Speaker 3: Dude, Kurt got his hair done. And I don't think
- 55:54Speaker 3: it's like a known thing. Oh well now you know, yeah,
- 55:57Speaker 3: well no, I think I've I think I've said it
- 55:58Speaker 3: a couple of times on the pod before.
- 56:00Speaker 2: Let's hope for his sake.
- 56:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I got to see him like the day after.
- 56:03Speaker 3: His face was all puffy and so one. I was
- 56:04Speaker 3: trying to get a photo. He wouldn't let me take
- 56:05Speaker 3: a photo.
- 56:06Speaker 2: It's like you with your little gibilet teeth. I can't
- 56:08Speaker 2: get that photo I showed you though you showed me,
- 56:12Speaker 2: but I want the photo.
- 56:13Speaker 3: I know you do.
- 56:14Speaker 2: I would never post it unless yeah, yeah he did.
- 56:19Speaker 2: He said he showed me a little photo of him
- 56:21Speaker 2: because he had like you had the tempts or before
- 56:23Speaker 2: they put the tempts on, I.
- 56:25Speaker 3: Put the Yeah, they shaved it down and then I
- 56:27Speaker 3: got the tempts. So I was at your wedding with
- 56:29Speaker 3: the tempts in. And then a couple of weeks later
- 56:31Speaker 3: they get the you know the moldings and everybody has
- 56:33Speaker 3: things just the top just the top eight because they
- 56:36Speaker 3: were like based on the way I talk and smile
- 56:38Speaker 3: and everything else. You only see my top ones. Yeah,
- 56:40Speaker 3: I would show my bottom ones, but they're a little
- 56:42Speaker 3: off tone.
- 56:42Speaker 6: They're a little off color.
- 56:45Speaker 3: They gave me some whitening to do to match it,
- 56:47Speaker 3: and I just never got to it. Never got to it. Busy, busy, skinny, busy.
- 56:52Speaker 3: I got the light out here that you go down here.
- 56:54Speaker 2: Yeah, speaking of you get t SA per check yet, JP? Yeah,
- 57:02Speaker 2: we were, we were in Vegas, and I was essentially
- 57:04Speaker 2: a lecturing JP on you need to get it, and
- 57:06Speaker 2: he said, I'm gonna do it on Monday. That was
- 57:07Speaker 2: two weeks ago. It was two Monday, today's Monday.
- 57:11Speaker 3: But you're not you challenged me.
- 57:14Speaker 2: No, you challenge yourself. You're like, I gotta do this
- 57:16Speaker 2: before it was before.
- 57:19Speaker 1: You said a like you put in a for it, right,
- 57:22Speaker 1: and then you have to make another schedule for to
- 57:25Speaker 1: go get your finger.
- 57:26Speaker 2: You fill it out online, You fill all this stuff
- 57:28Speaker 2: online and then you just go to the Staples, which
- 57:30Speaker 2: from this spot right here, there's a Staples four minutes away,
- 57:33Speaker 2: and you just pay seventy five dollars and they like
- 57:36Speaker 2: the fingerprints. I don't think so they got you, bro.
- 57:40Speaker 1: I had to do.
- 57:41Speaker 2: My fingerprints are out there. I have criminal record. My
- 57:45Speaker 2: all them boys are on there, and they gave you
- 57:48Speaker 2: pre chag. I mean they got put down a misdemeanors.
- 57:52Speaker 2: You know, I worked it all out a team. Yeah,
- 57:56Speaker 2: shout out Michigan. Yeah, you're not going to do that
- 58:00Speaker 2: today because CFB twenty five comes out in about an hour.
- 58:03Speaker 1: No, bro, what time we had.
- 58:04Speaker 3: It's two o'clock on a Monday. The game releases. If
- 58:07Speaker 3: you got the Deluxe edition, which we did, you can
- 58:09Speaker 3: start playing college football for one hour one.
- 58:11Speaker 2: Hour from now. Are you as fired up for that
- 58:13Speaker 2: as it seems like everybody is?
- 58:15Speaker 1: Yeah, but I don't know you're not. No, I'm not
- 58:17Speaker 1: like as fired up as everybody else is. But like
- 58:20Speaker 1: I got my I don't have my PlayStation down here.
- 58:21Speaker 1: It's something in Minnesota.
- 58:23Speaker 3: So you five guy?
- 58:25Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what I think it is? You an Xbox.
- 58:29Speaker 2: The promise. He's young, So your whole time in college
- 58:32Speaker 2: you were not in the game.
- 58:33Speaker 3: I bet he was playing NAA fourteen though, Yeah, I was.
- 58:36Speaker 2: Yeah, there's something being in the game the fourteen.
- 58:43Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm so stoked for it. Do you know what
- 58:45Speaker 3: I was overall?
- 58:47Speaker 1: Uh? No, do you?
- 58:49Speaker 3: Eighty four?
- 58:50Speaker 1: I mean that defense?
- 58:51Speaker 3: What that's when Nebraska is.
- 58:52Speaker 1: To stop it?
- 58:54Speaker 3: Hey?
- 58:54Speaker 2: You like, Hi ratioed you on your birthday?
- 58:56Speaker 1: Yeah, get out of here?
- 58:58Speaker 2: What happened?
- 58:59Speaker 1: I saw that.
- 58:59Speaker 3: I was like, it goes. It was his birthdays, like
- 59:03Speaker 3: I appreciate everybody for all the birthday, which is I'm
- 59:05Speaker 3: blessed or very blessed or whatever it is.
- 59:07Speaker 1: And I said, you're not blessed.
- 59:08Speaker 3: You went to Iowa and it just put him into
- 59:10Speaker 3: oblivion on his birthday.
- 59:14Speaker 2: Got him?
- 59:14Speaker 1: Man, that's crazy.
- 59:16Speaker 2: You got him.
- 59:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 59:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I think this game is gonna end a lot
- 59:20Speaker 2: of people's relationships and careers.
- 59:23Speaker 1: I heard the field goal thing. It is hard.
- 59:26Speaker 3: I haven't I haven't seen the.
- 59:29Speaker 1: And it goes like super fast and the meter does
- 59:32Speaker 1: doesn't really, Yeah.
- 59:33Speaker 3: I mean it should be difficult if you're trying to
- 59:35Speaker 3: kick a game winning field goal. I know you want
- 59:38Speaker 3: the game to be a video you wanted.
- 59:39Speaker 2: To be to be a video game. Yeah, I think.
- 59:41Speaker 1: I mean, the college kickers are worse right than the NFL,
- 59:44Speaker 1: so it should be harder.
- 59:45Speaker 3: And not only that, but we're talking like a route tree.
- 59:47Speaker 3: If you want to you want to give a receiver
- 59:48Speaker 3: hot route. They have twelve different routes that they can run,
- 59:50Speaker 3: so you can like build your own system like on
- 59:53Speaker 3: the fly and protection right through the protections.
- 59:56Speaker 2: Again, you can gap out, you can slide one way
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: man the other way. You can go five oh, which
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: is five on five protection. I'm sure you can bring
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: in a tight end and go like uh you know,
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: y six y seven. You can simply I D the
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: H two H three, which is all great and that's awesome.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: Yeah, but I I I'm that's a lot of controls.
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: When I look at like n C A fourteen, how
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: simple the game is as far as like you got
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: your juke moves, you can do X y Z if
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: you press harder, it's more of a bullet pass. If
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: you tap it, it kind of arcs it over and
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: then you go to Madden. It just seems like they
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: put so much realism into it that it kind of
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: takes away the enjoyment of playing the game. And I
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: I am more of a pessimistic when it comes to
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: you're more of a casual, You're more of a Joe yeah,
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: I like the casual stuff.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: No, I'm with you though, because I don't play the
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: game as much as I should probably could or what like.
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: Shit, Yeah, but you play.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: I don't want to. Yeah, I don't want to know.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: I have to learn all the controls every time I want.
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: I can't wait.
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: It's gonna be fun to see. I just it could
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: better time.
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that would be honestly, probably the best team
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: to do a dynasty with. I'm clearly bias. I'm clearly biased,
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: but I'm talking. I'm talking like I'm talking like the parameters.
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: What would be a good a good team to start dynasty?
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: About parameters?
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: For me, it's like you got we got Rails, so
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: you got good a good young young quarterback dynasty somebody
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: who's not like above ninety. You want a team that
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: you can build up to be like a five star program.
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: I think Nebraska is sitting around a three or three
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: and a half star.
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: That's tough because they were five and twenty fourteen.
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: They were they were they were.
- 1:01:32Speaker 8: Streamers are saying like Nebraska is like the best team
- 1:01:35Speaker 8: to do because exactly what you're saying, Like they're in
- 1:01:38Speaker 8: the Big Ten, they have Ryola and they have like
- 1:01:41Speaker 8: some good players and like you can bring it. You
- 1:01:44Speaker 8: can bring like Nebraska back to start.
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: And when you're playing, when you're doing when you're doing recruiting,
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: I'm sure there'll be challenges. I'm sure there'll be challenges
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: trying to recruit guys to your school since you're not
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: like a premier school.
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: Let's just do it as a teer talk then, okay,
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: best dynasties.
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: My tier one is nobras.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: Okay, you are you aware of your top yes?
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: All right?
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: We started three, go to one. Obviously you can give
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: out of the mentions if you want. But we're gonna
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: do best dynasties, best teams to start a dynasty with.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: Once or do we do three and.
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: They stay draft style? That's what we do a kittle
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: on the stadiums. We could do that again if we want.
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: So once one gets drafted, it's off the board.
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: It's off the board.
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: Okay, so well.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: I like that.
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: You like it now?
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: So we started tier one? Then pretty much because you started,
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: you're doing your first.
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: Pick, all right, honors, Yeah, I'm doing Hawks. Obviously you
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: should have took Nebraska.
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: I know, I thought you serve them all the Hawks.
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: The Hawks would be a good one.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: To Yeah, you got, yes, and then you can if
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: you're going to get players, you can get a bunch
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: of on the offense too, So Phil Parker in the defense.
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: But that's like Iowa football man never score over twenty.
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: They don't have to play good, hard nosed defense.
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: You guys might have to.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: What you mean, the defense is soky. They're keeping them
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: under twenty every time.
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: It was the last two games you guys played, though.
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: But also didn't didn't the OC get fired last year? Yes, yeah, Brian,
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: Yeah that's that's a positive, right.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: Well yeah, I mean yeah, was he eros Yeah, you're not.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: It was a little different, but you.
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: Like a lot like scoring ten points a game.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: We didn't score ten points. Games score thirteen. Oh come
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: on now, I don't know how many look it up.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: Michigan's waiting in the game twenty seventeen, twenty eighteen four.
- 1:03:27Speaker 8: I think it was.
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: I mean, I would need some more offense, you call
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: what it.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: Is, Yeah, I mean, but their pro style offense, I
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: mean in college. College is a little like that's a
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: little different, right because everybody's doing spread.
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: Now, but they're adapting with the times.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, but it's I mean, they have more
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: people go to the league because of it.
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: Well, tight Ends, you guys have Titans.
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: Well yeah, but he's a tight Ends old lineman and
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: a white defensive player.
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: Oh yeah, bro, yeah how about that Cooper.
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: That's got to be the proudest for you. What you
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: guys produced the first white dB since like eighteen hundreds.
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, no, that is wild. I mean the Jean's
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: insane though, Like if you go back and like watch
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: him playing basketball and stuff too, Like he's just a
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: freak athlete. So Taylor is surprised.
- 1:04:18Speaker 4: I could totally be reading this wrong, but Michigan is
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: not listed in the top twenty five on CFB.
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: That's incorrect.
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: It's got to be. It's got to be because that's
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: all those are offensives.
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: When they go offens are offensive.
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: Okay, no bad ideas, no bad ideas, because I do
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: think they're not. They're definitely not below in eighty three
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: overall as a team.
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: Yeah, we're we're i think ranked in the top ten.
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: You guys going into the season, you guys lost a
- 1:04:45Speaker 3: lot of offensive power. Yeah, but you know, good line
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: by you guys lost a good linebacker.
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: Right, good boy?
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: Yeah, we got j J. Now.
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: I know, dude, I want to talk about that too,
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: And it sucks that you brought that up just now
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: because we're in your talk. So remind me to talk
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: about that because you know, with a lot of good quarterbacks. Yeah,
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: and just footnote.
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: That Nebraska with my first pick.
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: Eighty eight slept On, I love it. I love that
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: all right.
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: I'm going Nebraska for all things we talked about. You
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: got a young freshman quarterback who's an eighty overall. He's
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: going to be trending upward very fast. You're talking middle
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: of the pack in offense and defense. I think they're
- 1:05:25Speaker 3: like an eighty four across the board, eighty four overall,
- 1:05:27Speaker 3: eighty four offense, eighty four defense. They're a three and
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: a half star program on CFB twenty five. You got
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: an opportunity to build them back up to what they
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: were back in the nineties. Some also say the Polini era.
- 1:05:38Speaker 3: I'm gonna go with Nebraska. I think a great foundation
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: to build. It makes it recruiting a little challenging, which
- 1:05:42Speaker 3: I think will be very fun. So Nebraska my first
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: overall pick.
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: Yeah, based on the parameters, I've just been told that
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: that's a good pick. And I wasn't going to pick
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: Michigan because I thought they would be rated higher. I
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: thought they'd be in an upper echelant like in the nineties.
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: But I'm gonna, you know what, I'm not gonna take Michigan.
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: I'mnna leave Michigan on the table. I'm gonna pick a
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: team like I actually hate that I'm picking this, but
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: it might be the best pick. And that's South Carolina.
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: If you think, if you think about it, I mean,
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: you got that cat. You were just telling me about
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: who has the acceleration the speed of ninety nine. But
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: you've also done name Harber. You've got a program that
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: is in a prestigious conference that has been middle to
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: lower lower pack, and you want to bring that prestige
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: back or to a program that hasn't had a whole
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: lot of success and kind of run a conference that
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: is arguably the best we all know his second best conference,
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: but arguably the best conference. I think the Game Cops
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: is a good pick. That's my pick.
- 1:06:54Speaker 3: And if you thought, if you throw it on Heisman
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: mode and like take your licks and try to get
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: like say seven to eight win season, like you have
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: some challenges that will make that dynasty.
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: Fun, yeah, which I've never really done before.
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: That's a good pick. They were, They were, That's who
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: I wanted for my second That's what I wanted for my.
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: Second And I wanted to leave Michigan out of it
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: because Michigan is a tough dynasty pick just because they
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: won the national championship last year. Yeah, they've lost a
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: lot of guys, but they are top talks, they're top
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: dogs in the food chain.
- 1:07:21Speaker 3: Some say it's not a good look.
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: Yeah, it could be not a good look to grab
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: my team. But at the end of the day, like
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: we're playing make believe right now, But I'm more care
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: about what's gona happen in the season, Okay, and we'll
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: find out September seven. If a Michigan takes on the
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: Long Horns.
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: That's gonna be a great game, I know.
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: But we're we're not gonna fucking be there because you.
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: Colorado Nebraska like that's a bigger game budget.
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: It's not. Come on, Will, I'm telling you, and everyone
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: in here is probably going to agree with me that
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: that is not a bigger game. I'm going because I
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: fucking I love you, Bro, I know that game means
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: so much to you, But I'm pretty sure we'd like
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: to see the Longhorns, who are in the College Wall
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: playoff last year, versus the reigning national champions in in Urbur, Michigan.
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: I'm I'm pretty sure we'd what atmosphere would you guys
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: rather be at? Look at them?
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: Look don't say his you guys know my name, say
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: it loud.
- 1:08:17Speaker 4: I think if a couple of things go a different
- 1:08:20Speaker 4: direction for Nebraska last year, they could have won some games.
- 1:08:23Speaker 4: They could have made some noise and made the playoff,
- 1:08:26Speaker 4: making this year's game a little bit more interesting. But Slash,
- 1:08:30Speaker 4: I want my job. Michigan versus Texas is the game
- 1:08:35Speaker 4: is that.
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: That's the game, without a doubt, Mitch. I hate that
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: we have to do this right now.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean Michigan Texas is where you gotta go.
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: I need more built the board material for my.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: Season in Michigan Texas, for sure.
- 1:08:48Speaker 3: Garrett, I think if the game was in Austin, I
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: would go to that one.
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: But I like the Memorial game day atmosphere.
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: Better than how quiet it is quite Hey, you know
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: we I know how quie bro I went to a
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: game in Memorial last year and it was quite That's
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: a different time, bro, Michigan. Bro, What is is that
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: the home open definition of insanity?
- 1:09:19Speaker 3: Here's what I mean by let me here, let me
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: hear JPS.
- 1:09:22Speaker 6: South Carolina's got Kentucky on the seven.
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: All right, but that's not why the choices.
- 1:09:28Speaker 6: Uh yeah, Michigan Texas.
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: And it's insane. You're just trying to go against the grand.
- 1:09:34Speaker 5: The atmosphere is better at Nebraska than Michigan, but the
- 1:09:38Speaker 5: teams are better for Michigan versus Texas to Austin.
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: And you don't want to go to Austin. Yeah, but
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: I also being going to Michigan. I would want to
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: go to Michigan. And it's got a lot louder. By
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: the way, guys, you should do that. It's gotten a
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: lot louder. I think it was actually rated top twenty
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: five loudest stadiums. It was in the twenties. It was
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: in the twenties. For sure.
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: I always gotta be up there.
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: It does get kind of loud.
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: I was fine, but because they put the fans right
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: up on you.
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: All that being said, I'm gonna go to your game.
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: No I know, And what the point I was gonna
- 1:10:13Speaker 3: make is with Michigan coming in like being the number
- 1:10:16Speaker 3: one overall team, it didn't take much of the absolutely
- 1:10:18Speaker 3: deflate that entire stity because you're right, But I'm saying
- 1:10:21Speaker 3: the expectation going to this year, we're in the spot
- 1:10:23Speaker 3: to where the expectations are like, Yo, we really got
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: a shot and we too.
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: This is not that what the expectation is make a
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: bowl game.
- 1:10:32Speaker 3: Listen, I'm telling you right now, the expectation is not
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: to just win six games. Bro. Is that what you're
- 1:10:37Speaker 3: trying to tell me that all Nebraska, we're just root
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: for six wins this year.
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: If you if we get to the end of the
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: season and you guys are a five hundred team, you're
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: gonna be so proud.
- 1:10:46Speaker 3: No, I'm gonna call for rules.
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: Shut There's no way I'm gonna have to throw ring.
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, no, no, no no.
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: This wasn't the thing I saw. This wasn't the thing
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: I saw the top twenty, my quietest, that's not what
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: I saw. There's that's the thing with the internet, man,
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: you can find anything to sport whatever you want.
- 1:11:08Speaker 3: Who's your second round pick?
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: I would take Texas Manning. You got the quarterback. He's
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: not your starter, he's not well still on the team.
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: I don't know. I just like Texas.
- 1:11:22Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: Yeah, Like I grew up like watching them going to
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: a lot of their their football games, baseball games, and
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: so I kind of just like them. So I would
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: pick all right, Yeah, okay, period.
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: Let me go.
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: Wasn't a who that pick.
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: I like the Texas pick. You got the young quarterbacks,
- 1:11:42Speaker 3: you know, but you are a team that's already you're
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: already stabs. Yeah, they're already established. He's somebody who challenge
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: and I from my understanding, I've never played dynasty before.
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: You want to pick a team that maybe doesn't have
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: the prestige you wanted to have.
- 1:11:57Speaker 3: Yeah, with my second pick, I think I'm gonna go
- 1:11:59Speaker 3: with the University of Miami. I think that'd be a
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: very fun one that's to bring back to life in
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: the ACC At the moment, I'm gonna go with Miami.
- 1:12:10Speaker 3: The recruiting would be a lot easier down in Florida,
- 1:12:12Speaker 3: but that that would be a fun team to bring back.
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: Give me Hawaii for my pick. I play an NCAA
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: fourteen man. I remember making creative players and just going
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: to Hawaii and being like, let me just bring this
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: conference who has never seen the light as far as
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: having any prestige at all, and bring them some success.
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: Make Hawaii Honolulu a hot bed for recruiting where all
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: the boys and girls want to come and be a
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: part of a national championship team. Hawaii is my second pick.
- 1:12:40Speaker 3: That'd be a very challenging one too. I respect that pick.
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: I also really don't know what I'm doing right now.
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I'm with you. I think the Air Force
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: would be sick. Oh, let's go. Let's go got us
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: for the military, Yes, have to, man.
- 1:13:06Speaker 3: I want to hit a fun when there are a
- 1:13:07Speaker 3: few out there. But I think where I'm going to
- 1:13:10Speaker 3: dial in on is I was thinking about them, but
- 1:13:16Speaker 3: I think it's gonna be I don't know.
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: Se No, that's a fun one.
- 1:13:31Speaker 3: Let's go. Mm hmm, let's go Arizona. Let's go Arizona
- 1:13:43Speaker 3: team right now? Big twelve. I don't know if I
- 1:13:48Speaker 3: want that one.
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: All right, take it off the board.
- 1:13:52Speaker 3: Colorado would be fun, but again, they got to the
- 1:13:54Speaker 3: best players in the game. It's like to me, in
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: my opinion, you'd be able to with your dr and
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: Travis Hunter, you be able to win very fast in
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: my opinion, because I was dabbling with you got Arizona.
- 1:14:06Speaker 3: I like Missoo. Missouo would be fun. Kansas would be fun,
- 1:14:09Speaker 3: Kansas State would be fun. Let's go to Miszoo. Let's
- 1:14:15Speaker 3: go to Missoo because we're talking SEC. They're a fun school.
- 1:14:18Speaker 3: It would take a lot to build that program and
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: really compete. You're in and you're out in heist mode
- 1:14:23Speaker 3: in the SEC. I'm gonna go with Miszoo.
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: And they had that DN that came out in twenty thirteen.
- 1:14:26Speaker 2: That's your favorite.
- 1:14:27Speaker 3: Oh yes, what's his name again?
- 1:14:29Speaker 2: Sam?
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: Something?
- 1:14:30Speaker 3: See what was this last name?
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: I can't remember?
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: I remember him from the videos?
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: Is it Michael sim Yeah?
- 1:14:37Speaker 3: I can't Michael Sam. I can't remember, now that you
- 1:14:39Speaker 3: say it, Michael Samm.
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: Yeah. My pick, My pick is gonna be Arizona State University.
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: I think Dillingham out there, and I do I talk
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: about this all. I have no idea why ASU is
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: not a hotbed for recruiting. You're in Tempee, you have
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: old town Scotts, so you got fem you got sun
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: every single day. You literally got girls going to school
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: in their bikinis. Like it's one of those schools where
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: it's like you got blue Mountain State written all over it.
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: Yeah, but the facility sucked.
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: Yeah, they sucked because they's never been good. Right, Yeah,
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: so you go, you bring some boys in there that
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: can really get it done, and then all of a sudden,
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: the money starts coming out guys. Ari Arizona, by far
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: is the most like fair weather fan base of all
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: the states. I believe they don't give a shit about
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: sports teams unless they're good. And when the minute you
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: start getting get ASU, it is going to be a
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: crazy pride all around it.
- 1:15:33Speaker 3: You didn't go there, Yeah, you're right.
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: I'll strying to go to the league.
- 1:15:36Speaker 3: And everybody who's trying to play high level college football
- 1:15:39Speaker 3: wants to go to the league. And all you got
- 1:15:40Speaker 3: to say is, hey, don't worry about all that external bullshit.
- 1:15:42Speaker 3: You want to come to a real program, an NFL hotbed.
- 1:15:45Speaker 3: You come here because you're going to spend the majority
- 1:15:47Speaker 3: of your time in the facility.
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: Yeah. An argument to that is is, like, you can
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: enjoy everything and also be a star immediately. You can
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: build something beautiful in that laa foundation for a procedures university,
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: and you can be one of the pillars that stands
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: on with your statue sitting outside because there's only Patrick Tillman.
- 1:16:01Speaker 3: And you're the example. You did not go there. Yeah,
- 1:16:03Speaker 3: you're right, I didn't.
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: Well, there was never a su offered me. I thought,
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: hell yes, but no no shot.
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: Yeah, like official physics take on.
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: A big reason why I didn't go to issue was
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: a bunch of kids from Suara. We're going to su
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: and I was like, I don't want to play with
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: these guys, but if you can't win with your guys,
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: I don't know who these dudes.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: Yeah, will n I'll help them? And what will NIL help?
- 1:16:29Speaker 2: They gotta find some money, No, dude, NIL helps. NIL
- 1:16:34Speaker 2: helps the biggest programs, the programs like Michigan, like in Nebraska,
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: like these schools that have a lot of history and
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: a huge alumni. Michigan has one of the like the
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: largest living alumni, so they will have a bunch of
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: people give money and they have people that you know,
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: the guy who owns the Dolphins also owns Michigan. Look
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: at Ohio State. If they win this year, it's not
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: because their culture or how awesome they are, it's because
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: they spent the most money and most NIL money out
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: of any program and talk about aster. I want to
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: talk about Michigan. That's an astros written all over. He
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: hasn't earn that you guys bought that.
- 1:17:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean you guys had some pretty hefty allegations
- 1:17:08Speaker 3: last year.
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: Yeah, and where are they now? Still they're fucking gone. Still,
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: people don't give a fuck anym Harball dipped. Everyone's like,
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: I guess we're cool.
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: That's for good.
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: I'll have Sean Moore now.
- 1:17:19Speaker 3: Yeah, il nil helps teams that you're only gonna know
- 1:17:23Speaker 3: what kind of walls that they have if they pour
- 1:17:25Speaker 3: into the facilities. You don't have anybody that pours into
- 1:17:27Speaker 3: any facilities at Arizona State. So even though you think
- 1:17:29Speaker 3: that NIO would help them, I'm pretty sure there's you
- 1:17:32Speaker 3: got all these boosters not backing up the brink trucks
- 1:17:34Speaker 3: to go pay for a roster, you know what I mean?
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: They have so many holes too. But that's why I
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: think a SU is a great pick for Dynasty because
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: now you get to make all that happen for sure.
- 1:17:43Speaker 3: And Dilly is the man.
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: Dilly is the man. The thing I love about Dillingham, uh,
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: that's the head coach for SU. He doesn't want to
- 1:17:51Speaker 2: go anywhere else. Was this. That's where he's wanted to
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: be forever. Born in bred, Arizona, cat what to high
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: school with him, and that's where he's what he wants
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: to be.
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: That's what the tech, his tech baseball coach said too
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: before he went to Texas.
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: Well point, it's.
- 1:18:07Speaker 3: A good point. Deally is the man that you sit
- 1:18:08Speaker 3: there in his office and listen to his passion. He
- 1:18:11Speaker 3: oozes with it.
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: Really Yeah, that's dope.
- 1:18:13Speaker 3: Yeah, you like him. Bring back your reminder, JJ McCarthy.
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: JJ McCarthy. Now you play with a lot of good quarterbacks.
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: We can get into that in just a minute, but
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: you talk about the eleventh overall pick of a national
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: championship winning team. JJ McCarthy comes in after Kirk Cousins
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: is now in Atlanta. What have you seen from the boy?
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: Yeah, he's been incredible, has he? Yeah? I mean, well,
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: fuck you.
- 1:18:33Speaker 3: He seems like a worker, Yeah he is.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: He's grinding in the film room, he's grinding in the
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: classroom like he's a baller on the field, obviously, But
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: like to have a guy like especially a rookie, you know,
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: when you come into a facility, into the league, like
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: you usually need to shut your mouth and like go
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: to work, and now that's exactly what he did. Like
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: he's earned the respect of a lot of guys in there. Obviously,
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: we have Sam Darnold too, who is a baller and
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: is can can play the game at a really high level.
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: So it'll be interesting what happens with a lot with
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: those two. But I'm excited that JJ is on our
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: team and on our squad. I mean, like I said,
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: he's he's a leader. He did that in Michigan and
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: you know, I'm sure it'll carry over the league just
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: as well.
- 1:19:20Speaker 3: Before the draft happened, were you pretty bummed at Kirk
- 1:19:23Speaker 3: went to Atlanta?
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, you know, I love Kirk. I mean,
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: just a great dude. But you can't fault a guy.
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: I mean, you can only play this game for so long,
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: and so you know, you may as well make the
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: most of it. As you know that that he's done.
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: I mean, he's made a lot of money in this league,
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: and so he can't fault him at all. And obviously
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: that's where Julie, his wife is from, and so they
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: they have their roots down there and they have family
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: down there, and yeah, I mean I wish nothing but
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: the best for Kirk. I mean, just a list guy,
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: like just such a good dude. Yeah, Like I mean,
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: he he still texts me like, hey, how you doing.
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: What's going on? You know, like, hey, can you you
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: have any plays that you know, like like that we
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: ran last year that would be good that you remember,
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: you know, stuff like that. He just keeps in touch,
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: and so you gotta love that for my guy, you know,
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: because it's not at the end of the day, it's
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: not just you were a teammate, you know, you're a friend.
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: And so that's that's pretty sweet from him.
- 1:20:23Speaker 3: You've got to play with some awesome quarterbacks. As Taylor
- 1:20:26Speaker 3: was saying, how would you if you did tear him out?
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: That's that's aggressive.
- 1:20:32Speaker 3: Well, you play with great quarterbacks.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: Quarterback, Yeah, one hundred percent. They're they're all fantastic quarter
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: I mean like coming into the league, you know and
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: having Stafford like that was huge for me because Stafford
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: was a guy that was like just get open, like
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: I'll throw it to you, you know, and so like
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: that kind of let me be free my first couple
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: of years in the league, Like Okay, all I gotta
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: do is beat this guy. In front of me and
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: I don't really have to worry about much and staff
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: will put it where I need to And so that
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: was a real stepping stone and like where I've been
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: able to get into the league. And then going from
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: staff to JG. You know, JG's is like he's all
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: about ball, so like he knows like where you need
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: to be at this certain time, like when you need
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: to be there, like at what depth and that kind
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: of stuff. So that kind of taught me like the
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: analytical part of it, like why I need to be
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: there based on coverages and like, okay, you know the
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: league's gotten from you know, a lot of man to three,
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: match to zone to you know, like cover two and
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: being able to you know, Ben Johnson was the OC
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: and and he was my tight ends coach for a
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: few years in Detroit, and so like he taught me
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: a lot of that and then like he when he
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: became the o C, he was he let me like
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: read coverages and like you know, hey, we have a
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: pressure right now, but like if it's cover two, let's
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: just hook on the inside of the numbers because that's
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: what you know. So I think that was huge for
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: like another step into like actually learning defenses and understanding
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: like what's going on rather than like, hey, just get open,
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: which was awesome, Like I love that, don't get me wrong,
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: you know. And then going from that to Kirk was
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: you know, it was kind of like a mix honestly,
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: because Kirk was like, hey, I don't care how you
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: get there, but like get there in this timing, you know,
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: because like I'm playing off my back foot at this point,
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: so just get open at that time, you know. And
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: that was huge and kind of taught me a lot
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: of like the quarterbacks progression, like Okay, hey, I'm on
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: the backside, I'm running a basic route, but you know,
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: they say it's at twelve, but really I can push
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: this to fourteen, give them a little sauce at the top,
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: and be there for when Kirk needs me, you know,
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: and you're you know, you're running a pressure Okay, hey
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: you're my first read. So if you don't get all
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: the way to ten, not a big deal. Like hit
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: it at eight and we'll move the sticks. You know.
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: So like that was huge and just learning the quarterback
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: position a little bit, you know, and and understanding what
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: they are doing in the backfield, like they're going from
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: here to here to hear and that was that was
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: that was a nice thing for me to like kind
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: of learn. And so yeah, now to have JJ and
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: and saying like those guys, those guys, I mean, obviously
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: they're kind of learning their own and like figuring it out.
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: Sam's obviously been in the league for a while, but
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: like JJ, to have him out there and like, you know,
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: he's he's trying to figure it out, and like that,
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: it'll be It's cool because like you can talk to
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: him about different things and like, hey, like what would
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: you like here, and he's like, well, I don't know,
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: let's try it, you know. And so then you go
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: out there and you try it and he's like I
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: like that or I didn't like that. You know, Like
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: that'll be cool to kind of be able to have
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: that communication with a guy like that that's young. So yeah,
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: I mean I would. I've played with a lot of
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: really good quarterbacks and each one of them have been different,
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: which is cool.
- 1:23:59Speaker 2: How different is it for you having the quarterbacks with
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: all the understand what they already like him what they
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: know to now being in the position you are where
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: you're like kind of teaching more than you are learning.
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean it's it's definitely you know, like I say,
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: it was really good because each quarterback that I've been
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: with is obviously at the top of the league, like
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: and then they have each have their own different little
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: like thing and like what they like. And so for
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: me to be in the position I'm in with right
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: now with a young quarterback coming in and you can
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: talk to him about like, hey, this is what staff liked, Hey,
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: this is what Kirk like, this is what JG liked,
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: you know, and so and he I'm sure he can
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: take pieces from all that, you know, because.
- 1:24:43Speaker 3: And having a head coach who as a quarterback.
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: Yeah, and and Ko is incredible. I mean, like Ko
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: is one of the one of the best like people
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: like head like he just knows what's going on in football,
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: and like he understands the game so well. And he's
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: really good at you know, you you get around coaches
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: that understand the game really well, but then they can't
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: they're not as good at teaching it. And Ko is
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: like really really good at being communicative and like teaching
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: you like why this is and like why you do that?
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: And and that's that's that's hard to come by because
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: you know, I mean everybody in the league knows the game,
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: but like to be able to communicate how they know
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: the game and like where they see it and how
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: they see it, that's different. And so to have him
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: in that room with you know, with JJ and it's
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: going to be a lot of fun for him, and
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: it's it's huge. And to have Ko around us, Like
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: he comes in our room with Ange and you know,
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: sits down, and then he'll come out and he'll talk
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: to us, and on the field we're running routes, he'll
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: be like, hey, keep this more vertical because of this coverage,
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: or like hey keep this you know, you can spin
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: out of this a little quicker because of that. You know,
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: like you're the first read, you're the second rid, you're
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: the third read, you're the last read. You know that
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: that kind of stuff. So it's it's definitely, you know,
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: like my knowledge of the game has has grown a
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: lot just because of the people I've been around, and
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: the people in Minnesota are incredible.
- 1:26:08Speaker 3: Ben Johnson was somebody who was in kind of like
- 1:26:11Speaker 3: the you know, people wanting him to be their head coach.
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: Do you see him being a yeah, I mean he
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: can do like Ben can do whatever he wants to do.
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: I mean, he's one of those people that if he
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: puts his mind to something, like he'll he'll do it.
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: And he is again another one of those people that
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: like is really good at teaching the game and breaks
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: it down into simplicity, like he'll like I can't you know.
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: I mean, like my rookie year, like I had a
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: tight ends coach who you know, wasn't the best in
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: the world, but like Ben and I would go and
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: like sit down and watch film and he was the
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: quality control of the guy at the time, you know.
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: So we would go to another room, we would sit
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: down and watch film, and he would break down like, hey,
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: here's Travis's film, this is why he does this, this
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: is why he so good. Here's Georgia's film, this is
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: why he does this. This is why he's so good.
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: And then like being able to pull that and do
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: it like and understanding releases and like he'd break down,
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: you know, different route trees and like each part of
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: the route, you know, and so that was huge. I
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: mean Ben's one of the best people. I mean, like
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: I said, I talked to Ben a lot. He can
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: easily be a head coach in this league, and you know,
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: he's a he's a guy that people like to play for.
- 1:27:28Speaker 3: So yeah, take us to the moment where you got traded.
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: Yeah, how was that for you?
- 1:27:35Speaker 3: Were you bitter at first?
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: No, I wouldn't say so. I mean, like I kind
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: of there was a lot of articles coming out because
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: we were I think one and six at the time.
- 1:27:45Speaker 3: Like the articles of you being like on the trading block. Yeah,
- 1:27:48Speaker 3: because was that your contract? Here were you coming up to.
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: The end of your contract, Like I was in my
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: fourth year at the time, and so like I kind
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: of like understood, hey, either they're gonna want to keep
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: me or they're going to want to get rid of
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: me and try to get some draft capital. And so
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: like I and I was having a really good year
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: at the time with like not you know, I wasn't
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: getting the ball a ton, but like being able to
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: create separation and and when I did get the ball,
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: I'd make the most of it, you know. And and yeah,
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: I think the last game I had like three targets,
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: three catches and like ninety yards or something like that,
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: because you know, we played Miami and it was like
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: I could understand I understood that they were, you know,
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: they were kind of starting to get to that point,
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: and you know, you you have conversations you see like
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: what's going on, and you see the articles coming out,
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: and you know, you just have conversations with the guys like, oh,
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: like what's going on, you know, and everyone's like, you're
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: not leaving. You know, you're not going anywhere, you know,
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: but they don't know because it's really solely up to
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: the GM, you know. And so at that point, you know,
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: I got a call on Tuesday and it was like, hey,
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: you were getting traded to the Vikings, and appreciate it
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: and have a good one. I was like, all right, cool,
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: sounds good.
- 1:29:02Speaker 3: Were you excited boomed?
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: No, I was excited. I was excited. It was a
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: fresh start for me. Obviously. I knew like I was
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: going to play for coach O'Connell who was a young
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: coach and like it was his first year and he
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: has he was six and one or something like that
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: at the time, and like just really up and coming
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: coach and then to be able to get around him,
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: and it was the best thing for me, like, yeah,
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: put me in the right place. Like I love Minnesota,
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: I love the team, you know, and and it really
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: starts at the top with Ko and and the ownership,
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: Like those guys are incredible, and it trickles down like
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: I mean, like I say, you know, you have your pet,
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: your head pt come down and like watch you do things.
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: And they want you to like live a life outside
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: of football and like love people, you know, like that
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: that doesn't come around in the in this league very much.
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: I mean, you guys know how cut throat it is.
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: And so to have that and like to build relationships
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: with those people in Minnesota and with the Vikings has
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: been incredible. Like you don't find a bad human being
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: at any point, Like whenever you turn a corner, there's
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: there's somebody that you know and you can have a
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: conversation with them for thirty minutes and just like just
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: about life. It's not about anything. And you know, if
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: there's a bad person that's in the facility, it's found
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: out really quick and they're gone. You know, Like that's
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: just what it is. And so they really only attract
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: good people. They really preach love and like being a
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: team and like actually as much as a team as
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: you can be in the NFL, you know, like that
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: it's hard because everybody's in and out the door, but
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: they're incredible, Like it's really the best place for me,
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: and I hope I'm there for a long time.
- 1:30:49Speaker 2: Take me through the timeline a little bit more of
- 1:30:52Speaker 2: like how the whole trading things started, Like when the
- 1:30:54Speaker 2: rumor started? Who was your first call? Because I know
- 1:30:57Speaker 2: there's a lot of people probably listening to this that
- 1:30:59Speaker 2: don't know what goes on behind closed doors in the
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: locker room, And a lot of times guys find out
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: they're traded on the ticker and they just then they
- 1:31:05Speaker 2: then all of a sudden they get a call from
- 1:31:06Speaker 2: the GM for you when the rumor meals start, and
- 1:31:09Speaker 2: then when the actual transaction happened, the.
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: Rumor mill started. I think the week before I got traded,
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: like that week going up to the trade deadline, like
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: there was a bunch of articles that were coming out
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: like hey do we trade? Howkinson? Like who could we trade?
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: You know? And then I just called Ben because, like
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: I said, I have the best relationship. I had the
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: best relationship with him at the time, and Dan was
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: new ish I think at the time. I think he
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: might have been a year in and so I called
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: Ben and it was just like, hey, like what's like,
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: what are they thinking? He's like, dude, you don't really
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: have anything to worry about, you know, Like I love you.
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: I think everybody around here has a lot of respect
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: for you and what you're doing. You're a good player,
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: and I don't think that's the thing, you know. And
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: so I was like, all right, cool, sounds good. And
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: then we lost to Miami that week and that and
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: I was coming off of a game where in Seattle
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: where I'd like one hundred and fifty six hundred and
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: seventy six yards for two touchdowns. Like I was coming
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: off a game, and you know, we lost the game,
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: but you know, I was, I was playing well, and
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: so I wasn't too worried about it. And then Tuesday
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: came around and I woke up and I was like,
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: we'll see, put my phone on the ringer, you know.
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: And I was in the facility for a few hours
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: just doing PTE and recovery stuff, and then I left
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: go to go to a chiropractor and got a call
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: on my way to the chiropractor and I was told
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: I was traded.
- 1:32:32Speaker 3: And then even up to that call, you're you're you're
- 1:32:36Speaker 3: worries about being traded and pretty much put the rest
- 1:32:38Speaker 3: because of your conversation with coach Johnson.
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean pretty much like I like I still
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: had a feeling obviously, you know, Neil kind of knows
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: a lot of that stuff and he like can hear
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: stuff and and so I kind of, you know, still
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: was like, Okay, I might I it's definitely a possibility,
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: like I but like for them to trade me within
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: the vision, like, I wasn't expecting that at all. But
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: I mean I'm like, again, I'm so blessed and able
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: to be there. So I was excited when it happened.
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: But yeah, I wasn't. I wasn't really necessarily expecting it,
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: but came and it's been a blessing.
- 1:33:15Speaker 2: Is there a level of with the Lions and they
- 1:33:18Speaker 2: haven't won a division in like the last thirty years
- 1:33:20Speaker 2: until this past year and then you leave and now
- 1:33:23Speaker 2: they're having that crazy success. Is there a part of
- 1:33:25Speaker 2: you that's kind of like bitter towards that success.
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: I mean, you know, obviously they're still in division, so
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: you like want to beat them and you want to
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: win the division as well you personally, But I mean, yeah,
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: not not not crazy, but like I mean, you you
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: see it and you're like, like, well, what's going on?
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: You know, you talk to people and they're just like,
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: you know, like that I played with and they're just
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: like it just started clicking, like there's nothing.
- 1:33:48Speaker 3: You and everything just came into place.
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: Well, I mean, you think guys in there the first
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: like I was only there for six games when coach
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: Ben got moved up to OC like and OC, so
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: like it was a learning curve for everybody, Like it's
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: not that's one of those places too, Like the terminology
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: is a lot different, like Ben makes it complicated, so
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: it's easy, you know, like if that makes sense, Like
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: you know, each way is a different term, Like so
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: if you're on the right side, it'd be like I
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: don't know, it'd be one term, and if you're on
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: the if you're going to the left, same play, it'd
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: be a different term. So like you can still do
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: all that at the line, but it was a learning
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: curve for a lot of guys because that's not what
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: you do, you know, and they'd be code named so
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: it's like lobster and whatever, you know, And so that
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: was a learning curve for everybody. And so everybody was
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: trying to figure it out and get used to it,
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: and there was a lot of hiccups throughout that first
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: seven games, and then we all started kind of getting
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: it after like week five and starting to kind of
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: figure it out. And then you know, now they they've
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: gotten it to click. And Ben's I mean, there's no
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: doubt in my mind that Ben's like a huge part
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: of that because he's just, uh, you know, kind of
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: like a mastermind in that in that kind of sense.
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: And yeah, I mean, but I like bitterness, Like I
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: I really I was happy for like the boys that
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: I used to play with, you know, like obviously they
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: I was in it for a long time. It's a
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: it's not fun to like go out and play and
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: not really have any success, and then you know, for
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: them to have some success. Like I was happy for
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: the guys that I played with, but you know, I mean,
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: to obviously be in the same division, there's a little
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: bit of that because.
- 1:35:37Speaker 3: You guys want to be the team.
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: We want to be the team.
- 1:35:39Speaker 2: And also, like every player ever played with, they got
- 1:35:41Speaker 2: traded or left their team. Anytime we played that team,
- 1:35:45Speaker 2: there was that was circled that was like we gotta hey, boys,
- 1:35:48Speaker 2: we gotta get these guys if we can lose them all,
- 1:35:52Speaker 2: but not this one. This is the one we have
- 1:35:54Speaker 2: to win. Yeah, So I just didn't know if you
- 1:35:55Speaker 2: had any of those those types of feelings.
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: I mean, you always get a little juiced up when
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: you play them and you just want to see them
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: and and you know, at that point, like I said,
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: when I got hurt, that was that game and it
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: was for really a playoff birth for us, and so
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: that was that was a huge game, and you know
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: it could have gone either way at the time that
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: I got injured, and then you know, I get injured
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: and it's still a close game. But I think that
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: was it was tough for all of us.
- 1:36:22Speaker 2: So when the rumor mill starts, are you did you
- 1:36:26Speaker 2: and your girl ever play the game of like, hey
- 1:36:28Speaker 2: this place would be cool, Hey what about this place?
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: Well we heard Miami that was the biggest thing.
- 1:36:33Speaker 2: So kind of got excited about that, didn't.
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: It was, I mean, it's warm down there, and you know,
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: but I mean when it when you talk about Minnesota
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: and their their name kind of started getting like we heard,
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: like Neil heard their name, and I was like, that'd
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: be nice. Because it's my Like my family goes every game.
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: My parents go to every game. They haven't missed a
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: game since I've been you know, thirteen, and so, like
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: they were driving to Detroit all the time, and that's
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: eight hours there, not including Chicago traffic, you know, and
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: then eight hours back. And so it's only four hours
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: from my hometown, Minnesota's and so it's incredible for all
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: of them and and for me to be able to
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: be around family. My mom's from Minnesota, so I have
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: a bunch of extended family there. So if I ever
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: need anything, you know, I'm able to call them. And
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: I mean there's there is such thing as Minnesota nice.
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: You know, like people around the block, around in your neighborhood,
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: like they just love and they want to help out,
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: you know, without being weird about it. You know, like
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: you know how some people can be when you know
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: you're you are who you are, and then they're like
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: getting a little too close, you know, But that's usually
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: not a thing there. So it's it's been it's been awesome.
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: And like I said, the facilities are beautiful, the brand new.
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: There's a reason it gets you know. Top two last
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: year was number one in the NFLPA score like they
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: do it right in Minnesota, and it's I'm just super
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: lucky to be there.
- 1:38:04Speaker 3: Did you take us talk about the temperature of last year,
- 1:38:07Speaker 3: because you guys started off, how'd you guys start? Did
- 1:38:10Speaker 3: you start zero and four?
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: Yeah, something like that, which was I know had.
- 1:38:13Speaker 3: To be insanely frustrating, because when we would do S
- 1:38:15Speaker 3: and B and everything else, it's like, yo, this is
- 1:38:17Speaker 3: the best four lost team in the NFL. Like, you
- 1:38:19Speaker 3: guys only lost games because whether it be a bad turnover,
- 1:38:23Speaker 3: somebody dropping a ball at a crucial time, Like, how
- 1:38:25Speaker 3: frustrating was it? Because I know I would almost assume
- 1:38:28Speaker 3: that Ko the post game conversations and everything else is
- 1:38:31Speaker 3: like you're trying to keep everybody up. You guys start
- 1:38:33Speaker 3: to make a run, a very small run until Kirk
- 1:38:37Speaker 3: blows out his achilles. Take us back to early last
- 1:38:40Speaker 3: year and the temperature of everything they took.
- 1:38:42Speaker 5: Over and.
- 1:38:44Speaker 3: Right, and then Dobbs comes in.
- 1:38:46Speaker 2: Which is, yeah, that's an awesome story.
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: It was a it was a wild year and in
- 1:38:52Speaker 1: terms of a lot of things, you know, we were
- 1:38:54Speaker 1: we obviously were a good team, like we knew it
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: going into the season, Like we were really excited about
- 1:39:01Speaker 1: the season, especially coming off a thirteen one year the
- 1:39:04Speaker 1: year before, and so you know, we lose the first game,
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: you know, and it's like, all right, there's turnovers, Like
- 1:39:11Speaker 1: that's on us, like we need to win, you know,
- 1:39:12Speaker 1: and then lose second games, third game, and it's we
- 1:39:16Speaker 1: really got to pick up. Yeah, it's like like everybody
- 1:39:18Speaker 1: had like a you know, your hole gets pretty tight
- 1:39:21Speaker 1: and like you're just like, let's go, like what are
- 1:39:23Speaker 1: we doing? Like we're we are so good and we're
- 1:39:25Speaker 1: not showing it on Sundays, which was frustrating for everybody
- 1:39:29Speaker 1: and including the coaching staff. And so, I mean it
- 1:39:33Speaker 1: was turnovers, Like turnovers are the biggest thing, you guys know,
- 1:39:35Speaker 1: it's all about the ball, like you get those presentations
- 1:39:38Speaker 1: every week, and you know, we just couldn't hold onto
- 1:39:42Speaker 1: it and that was like the biggest issue. And then
- 1:39:45Speaker 1: we lose JJ and you know which, and yeah, when
- 1:39:50Speaker 1: we lose JJ first, we kind of go on a just.
- 1:39:53Speaker 3: Oh oh yeah, it's been a long day. Yea.
- 1:39:56Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, we lose Jets. We lose Jets first and
- 1:40:01Speaker 1: with a you know, a hamstring and then we start
- 1:40:05Speaker 1: going on a run and it's like okay, like we're
- 1:40:07Speaker 1: we're good, Like, let's get back and you know, when
- 1:40:10Speaker 1: Jets comes, we'll go off and we'll start playing in
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: the in the in the playoffs and and we'll have
- 1:40:15Speaker 1: a successful year. And so, you know, we start on
- 1:40:18Speaker 1: a run and then you know, obviously Green Bay happens,
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: and we're playing really well and we're up by quite
- 1:40:24Speaker 1: a bit, and you know, we come out of half
- 1:40:26Speaker 1: and we have a full swing, full two touchdown swing
- 1:40:29Speaker 1: and that was huge for us. And then Kirk goes
- 1:40:32Speaker 1: down in the last you know, a couple of drives
- 1:40:35Speaker 1: and it's like, what the heck just happened, you know,
- 1:40:37Speaker 1: like because nobody knows, you know, you don't know, and
- 1:40:40Speaker 1: he's over there like I just rolled my ankle. I
- 1:40:42Speaker 1: just rolled my ankle, and your achilles is gone. Yeah,
- 1:40:47Speaker 1: and then he gets carted off and you're like, oh man, yeah,
- 1:40:51Speaker 1: like what's going on? You know, And you get into
- 1:40:53Speaker 1: the locker room and we won the game, but it's
- 1:40:55Speaker 1: kind of like a somber feeling because you you lost Kirk,
- 1:40:58Speaker 1: who again, like I talked about Kirk, he's one of
- 1:41:01Speaker 1: the best dudes, and so you don't want to see
- 1:41:02Speaker 1: that from him.
- 1:41:06Speaker 3: But Yeah, and then the next week Dobbs comes in.
- 1:41:10Speaker 1: And then the next week, yeah, we're in we're in
- 1:41:14Speaker 1: Atlanta and and Dobbs comes in, and you know, we're
- 1:41:18Speaker 1: going through the whole quarterback thing you know we have
- 1:41:23Speaker 1: you know, you start one guy and then he gets
- 1:41:26Speaker 1: injured with a with a concussion, and then you know,
- 1:41:30Speaker 1: Dobbs is up basically and you're like, okay, like let's
- 1:41:33Speaker 1: let's let's see what it is. Crazy.
- 1:41:36Speaker 3: He got in what Tuesday, Wednesday?
- 1:41:38Speaker 1: Yeah, and he doesn't know the offense. So he's like
- 1:41:41Speaker 1: just repeating what he's hearing, but he doesn't know, and
- 1:41:43Speaker 1: he's like, hey, what's my first rate?
- 1:41:45Speaker 3: And you're like to the left, changing time to corral
- 1:41:49Speaker 3: around him and help him out.
- 1:41:50Speaker 1: That's kind of what it was. You know, we were
- 1:41:52Speaker 1: all in the huddle and we're kind of like just
- 1:41:54Speaker 1: communicating to him as well as him communicating to us,
- 1:41:57Speaker 1: like hey, like because he was like, hey, what's it? Like,
- 1:42:01Speaker 1: what's this mean? Like what's this route call?
- 1:42:04Speaker 3: Like?
- 1:42:05Speaker 1: Or what's my concept? You know, we have fun you know,
- 1:42:08Speaker 1: flag under and so it's like, you know that's what
- 1:42:12Speaker 1: that means, you know, like this is your first read,
- 1:42:14Speaker 1: this is your second read and so he was balling
- 1:42:17Speaker 1: that week and he used his legs a lot, and
- 1:42:20Speaker 1: we were able to do like a scrambled drill kind
- 1:42:22Speaker 1: of and you know that's I I hadn't really had
- 1:42:24Speaker 1: that for many of my quarterbacks, and so to have
- 1:42:27Speaker 1: him out there and he was you know, that was
- 1:42:29Speaker 1: that was kind of fun because you bad, yeah, like backyard,
- 1:42:33Speaker 1: it's exactly what it was.
- 1:42:35Speaker 2: Expectation to everyone, expect you guys.
- 1:42:38Speaker 1: And he does a game winning drive on the last
- 1:42:41Speaker 1: last drive, which was huge, you know. And then we
- 1:42:44Speaker 1: come out the next week and I actually broke my
- 1:42:47Speaker 1: rib in the Atlanta game, fractured my two ribs on
- 1:42:53Speaker 1: my on my right side. I still got a nice
- 1:42:55Speaker 1: little bump. And then the next week is the Saints
- 1:42:58Speaker 1: and yeah, yeah went off. I'd like, I see you
- 1:43:02Speaker 1: be well. I had uh the one thirty five in
- 1:43:06Speaker 1: the first half with Dobbs playing, and that was that
- 1:43:10Speaker 1: was sick. You know, we had a lot of fun.
- 1:43:11Speaker 1: We came out hot.
- 1:43:12Speaker 3: And then does one as as I'm sorry to cut
- 1:43:16Speaker 3: you off, that when Dobbs comes in and you know
- 1:43:17Speaker 3: he's obviously going to take over, uh, the next week,
- 1:43:20Speaker 3: does the game plan is all about like simplifying, Yeah,
- 1:43:23Speaker 3: make it easy for him.
- 1:43:24Speaker 1: And for sure, Yeah, I mean like just our you know,
- 1:43:27Speaker 1: you know, you have your first day, first five day
- 1:43:29Speaker 1: camp install plays like that's kind of what we were running,
- 1:43:33Speaker 1: which were was easy for us. And he was in
- 1:43:36Speaker 1: the he was he was like I was when I
- 1:43:38Speaker 1: first got traded. You know, he was like nodding, eating
- 1:43:41Speaker 1: with the guys. He was in the in the he
- 1:43:43Speaker 1: would go grab his food and then go to the
- 1:43:44Speaker 1: film room and and like kind of learn everything. And
- 1:43:47Speaker 1: then a lot of communication, a lot of like talking
- 1:43:50Speaker 1: to the guys and and figuring it out. But yeah,
- 1:43:53Speaker 1: I mean he was. He was incredible. I mean, I
- 1:43:56Speaker 1: love playing with Josh. He's a great dude. And he's special.
- 1:44:00Speaker 1: I mean with his legs and everything. He's a special
- 1:44:02Speaker 1: talent for sure.
- 1:44:03Speaker 3: So I mean, yeah, for anybody coming in week, especially
- 1:44:06Speaker 3: at the quarterback position, Yeah, and slinging it a little
- 1:44:08Speaker 3: bit game winning drive.
- 1:44:09Speaker 2: I just imagine all the guys in the huddle and
- 1:44:10Speaker 2: then Dobb's getting the call and he's just repeating it
- 1:44:12Speaker 2: and all the guys are like, this is what I have.
- 1:44:14Speaker 2: This like across the board, this is the protection exactly.
- 1:44:17Speaker 2: I got half that we're we figure out what goes
- 1:44:19Speaker 2: on now.
- 1:44:19Speaker 3: It's basically, hey, we're just running a boot here to
- 1:44:22Speaker 3: the right look for us.
- 1:44:23Speaker 1: And then Garrett our center, you know, he would he
- 1:44:25Speaker 1: was like at the point where, you know, because a
- 1:44:27Speaker 1: lot of the time the quarterback will change or like
- 1:44:30Speaker 1: telling you to to o it and stuff like that
- 1:44:32Speaker 1: for the tackle, and Garrett's out there like, heyt you know,
- 1:44:36Speaker 1: like calling all that stuff, probably taking it off his play.
- 1:44:40Speaker 2: Having a smart center is the biggest, one of the
- 1:44:43Speaker 2: biggest ass that you can possibly.
- 1:44:44Speaker 1: Have our whole line.
- 1:44:46Speaker 3: Ben was like a quarterback out there, Ben something.
- 1:44:48Speaker 2: Yeah, a lot of guys a lot of times Tannehill
- 1:44:50Speaker 2: wouldn't even well, Tanne will be great, but anybody else
- 1:44:53Speaker 2: who was ever and there, Ben would be like, all,
- 1:44:55Speaker 2: just I'll do the protection. And then that's one thing
- 1:44:57Speaker 2: the quarterback doesn't have to listen to at all. Yeah,
- 1:44:59Speaker 2: he's kind of wait for Ben. He'll point one way back.
- 1:45:01Speaker 2: I guess we're going this way. But Ben would also
- 1:45:04Speaker 2: manipulate ship too. We'd be like we're playing Houston one
- 1:45:07Speaker 2: time and it was like forty two to fourteen and
- 1:45:10Speaker 2: JJ is at the nose and man goes, fuck it.
- 1:45:13Speaker 2: Are puts me one on one and then everybody else
- 1:45:15Speaker 2: it'll be r R sorry Taylor, like Jesus Christ. Yeah,
- 1:45:21Speaker 2: but it's a bit of a deal, dude.
- 1:45:23Speaker 3: We have some uh do you have anything else to hit?
- 1:45:26Speaker 3: A couple of fun little segments.
- 1:45:27Speaker 2: Let's do some segments.
- 1:45:28Speaker 3: Shout out, no free, shout out, yeah, let me let me.
- 1:45:31Speaker 3: Yeah you go pee, go pe go you shout to
- 1:45:34Speaker 3: go pee? Yeah, all right, for a while, and it'll
- 1:45:38Speaker 3: make you feel better. I don't know if you're like me,
- 1:45:39Speaker 3: my back and asses sweating violently over.
- 1:45:42Speaker 2: There, leaning over Yeah.
- 1:45:44Speaker 3: Now you can do it. Yeah, you can deviate it. However,
- 1:45:46Speaker 3: so if you feel a bullets coming, you can either
- 1:45:48Speaker 3: slide if you feel like you need to do a
- 1:45:49Speaker 3: full slide and the back will block the one on
- 1:45:51Speaker 3: the end, but you'd want to slide it away from
- 1:45:54Speaker 3: the back so that way he can pick up the
- 1:45:55Speaker 3: end and I have to go across the protection go
- 1:45:57Speaker 3: and I have to go across the formation.
- 1:46:00Speaker 1: Yeah. They put me on a few this year. It's tough. Yeah,
- 1:46:04Speaker 1: that Jordan Addison one when like right before half on
- 1:46:08Speaker 1: the forty nine ers. Yeah, they put me one on
- 1:46:11Speaker 1: one with Bosa fifty nine protection.
- 1:46:13Speaker 3: How was that a.
- 1:46:14Speaker 1: Die slow death? We've scored a touchdown, So you handle them?
- 1:46:19Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, you win. I did my job.
- 1:46:21Speaker 3: You win in nine times out of ten on Nick Bosa,
- 1:46:25Speaker 3: don't do that to me.
- 1:46:27Speaker 1: Don't do that.
- 1:46:28Speaker 3: I feel like tight ends they do get, they get,
- 1:46:30Speaker 3: they do get a reputation of if you're one on one,
- 1:46:32Speaker 3: if you're a pass rusher, if you're one on one
- 1:46:34Speaker 3: with the tight end, you must win.
- 1:46:35Speaker 2: Basically, you have to win every single time.
- 1:46:37Speaker 3: Yeah, it doesn't always happen, but you pride yourself on
- 1:46:41Speaker 3: the blocking.
- 1:46:42Speaker 1: I do.
- 1:46:43Speaker 2: I do all right, Yeah, I do my best I
- 1:46:47Speaker 2: can ever ask for.
- 1:46:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I got a couple of fun watch a job
- 1:46:50Speaker 3: done right, A couple of fun questions before we get
- 1:46:52Speaker 3: into our segments. Number one prediction for Minnesota in twenty
- 1:46:55Speaker 3: twenty four.
- 1:46:56Speaker 1: Like a record prediction.
- 1:46:58Speaker 3: Yeah, let's hear it.
- 1:46:59Speaker 1: Oh man, I don't know how many seventeen seventeen?
- 1:47:10Speaker 2: You know that's the only right answer.
- 1:47:14Speaker 1: That is the right answer.
- 1:47:16Speaker 3: Also, which my second question? Which quarterback chewed your ass
- 1:47:20Speaker 3: the most?
- 1:47:23Speaker 1: Oh? I got a couple I got. I got a
- 1:47:25Speaker 1: couple of lickings from staff. Really, Yeah, that's that would
- 1:47:29Speaker 1: have been my guess, but I but like that was
- 1:47:31Speaker 1: the best thing for me. Productive like yeah, like it was.
- 1:47:35Speaker 1: It was great. And I was a rookie and so
- 1:47:38Speaker 1: like I was, I didn't really know like what was
- 1:47:40Speaker 1: going on, so to have that and like and you
- 1:47:44Speaker 1: know how he like, well maybe you don't. But like
- 1:47:46Speaker 1: Staff is like one of those people that like doesn't
- 1:47:48Speaker 1: really like he's not allowed talk or he's soft spoken,
- 1:47:52Speaker 1: like and he's just a boy, Like he's one of
- 1:47:54Speaker 1: the boys, so he wants to get closer. Like I
- 1:47:55Speaker 1: went out to dinner with Staff and his wife and
- 1:48:00Speaker 1: you know a few times, and then like on Sundays,
- 1:48:03Speaker 1: like if I screwed something up, you'd get into me.
- 1:48:05Speaker 1: And that that's like it's a good feeling, you know,
- 1:48:08Speaker 1: Like I mean not just.
- 1:48:09Speaker 3: That you remember what's one that like sits there and like, hey, Staff,
- 1:48:12Speaker 3: remember that one time and you ripped my ass?
- 1:48:15Speaker 1: Yeah, I actually caught a touchdown and he ripped me.
- 1:48:19Speaker 1: But it was it was my fault. Like we were
- 1:48:23Speaker 1: I can't remember who we were playing, but we were
- 1:48:26Speaker 1: on like the three yard line and there was this
- 1:48:28Speaker 1: play that he would check to but the whole line
- 1:48:32Speaker 1: was slide left and we'd leave the d N free
- 1:48:36Speaker 1: and because a lot of the time, like the d
- 1:48:38Speaker 1: N would have to carry the flat and then they
- 1:48:43Speaker 1: would screw up. So it was like a three man
- 1:48:45Speaker 1: set over on the right and he checked to it
- 1:48:48Speaker 1: and like I was supposed to bluff the end to
- 1:48:52Speaker 1: like make him think I was rushing rather than pulling
- 1:48:54Speaker 1: me to the flat, but I just kind of went
- 1:48:56Speaker 1: to the flat and then that leaves him a free runner,
- 1:49:00Speaker 1: you know, rather than the d end. So he was
- 1:49:03Speaker 1: he like turned around and he saw the defensive endcoming.
- 1:49:05Speaker 1: He side arms it score a touchdown, and I was like,
- 1:49:09Speaker 1: let's go. And then I just see staff shaking his head,
- 1:49:12Speaker 1: run to the sideline, and then when I get to
- 1:49:14Speaker 1: the sideline, he just gives it. He lays it into me.
- 1:49:16Speaker 1: But I needed it, like I was. I think that
- 1:49:19Speaker 1: might have been my first or second year, and it
- 1:49:21Speaker 1: was like, you know, you gotta know that stuff. So
- 1:49:24Speaker 1: it was like the little details, you know, but like
- 1:49:26Speaker 1: so I appreciated it, so like there was never anything
- 1:49:30Speaker 1: where like I've never gotten an ass shooing where I'm
- 1:49:32Speaker 1: like I didn't deserve it, you know, Like so I
- 1:49:35Speaker 1: kind of respect it, and I was like, all right,
- 1:49:37Speaker 1: go on my bad, Like, I'll get it next time.
- 1:49:39Speaker 3: You gotta. You gotta respect that touchdown.
- 1:49:41Speaker 2: Yeah, like, hey, it's not good enough. This is not
- 1:49:44Speaker 2: good it's not but the result.
- 1:49:46Speaker 1: Yeah, you gotta love that.
- 1:49:49Speaker 3: Oh you you want your prediction for Iowa.
- 1:49:52Speaker 1: They're gonna be Nebraska. What what's college football not? Twelve
- 1:49:57Speaker 1: twelve games?
- 1:49:59Speaker 5: Uh?
- 1:50:00Speaker 1: Eight win season for sure? So I'm gonna go nine
- 1:50:03Speaker 1: and three?
- 1:50:04Speaker 3: Okay? Strong? Who they lose to pull up the schedule?
- 1:50:09Speaker 1: Yeah? Thank you get a wager, a man, Yeah, I'm down.
- 1:50:21Speaker 1: I'm in on that.
- 1:50:22Speaker 3: Whoever loses, you have to do a video saying that
- 1:50:26Speaker 3: this school is basically like your alpha male, your daddy,
- 1:50:30Speaker 3: and this program is better than our program.
- 1:50:33Speaker 1: I mean, I like that.
- 1:50:38Speaker 2: You guys got a pretty pretty easy schedule here.
- 1:50:43Speaker 1: Oh yeah, dude, we might go twelve and al.
- 1:50:47Speaker 3: You guys are not.
- 1:50:47Speaker 1: You guys are gonna there's an Ohio state. I would
- 1:50:52Speaker 1: say that one's a close one.
- 1:50:54Speaker 2: Let's just call that one a loss, just to be fair.
- 1:50:56Speaker 1: Right, washing that'll be a tough one. Do you want
- 1:51:00Speaker 1: to call that a loss two weeks in a row.
- 1:51:03Speaker 1: I don't know if that can happen in her KF.
- 1:51:04Speaker 2: Though, is at Iowa too.
- 1:51:08Speaker 1: Yeah, so I think we get that one. Is u
- 1:51:13Speaker 1: c l a any good this year?
- 1:51:14Speaker 3: No, Wisconsin is gonna be tough, man are they last year?
- 1:51:17Speaker 1: They were the last.
- 1:51:18Speaker 3: He's now into his second okay, his second year. I
- 1:51:21Speaker 3: think they'll be tough.
- 1:51:22Speaker 1: That will be a tough one. Michigan State's not ain't
- 1:51:24Speaker 1: good anymore? Right, No, they're not any good? Yeah, okay, Wisconsin,
- 1:51:28Speaker 1: I'll take that as now. Okay, but where where's the
- 1:51:32Speaker 1: where's the one more? I don't see the.
- 1:51:33Speaker 3: One looks like Friday.
- 1:51:37Speaker 1: I like I like ten and too. I like ten
- 1:51:39Speaker 1: and two. I know we're not losing.
- 1:51:40Speaker 3: It's always right after.
- 1:51:41Speaker 1: I know we're not losing Black Friday. That's never a thing.
- 1:51:45Speaker 3: That's what you'll do too. You lose, what you'll do
- 1:51:49Speaker 3: to lose? You promote our Black Friday sale?
- 1:51:53Speaker 1: Okay, all right, what's your black Wait? What's your Black Friday?
- 1:51:57Speaker 3: Just like busting talk about how great Nebraska is, how
- 1:52:01Speaker 3: they're way better than we ever can think to be.
- 1:52:04Speaker 1: Yeah Friday, Yeah, I like to get you.
- 1:52:09Speaker 2: Ten and two is not a bad not a bad deal.
- 1:52:12Speaker 1: There, it's not. No, it's not that's very much.
- 1:52:15Speaker 3: Is that what you guys were last year.
- 1:52:18Speaker 1: No, I think we had nine.
- 1:52:19Speaker 3: Right, you might have been a ten win team last year.
- 1:52:22Speaker 2: You guys might be, well, I don't know what's.
- 1:52:27Speaker 1: That because we lost that BS one with Cooper Michigan.
- 1:52:31Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, he was not. I know it was not.
- 1:52:35Speaker 1: It was a terrible And then like this, like what
- 1:52:39Speaker 1: what we're talking about?
- 1:52:40Speaker 3: Yeah, you guys are like a a smelly, a stinky
- 1:52:44Speaker 3: good team.
- 1:52:46Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:52:46Speaker 3: It doesn't always mean it looks good.
- 1:52:47Speaker 2: Always pretty good.
- 1:52:49Speaker 3: Yeah, but they're you know, they kind of they kind
- 1:52:50Speaker 3: of have a stink.
- 1:52:51Speaker 2: It's never pretty, but it's beautiful, right, they kind of
- 1:52:53Speaker 2: a stink.
- 1:52:54Speaker 3: We got to clean them up. If you're unfamiliar with shoutout,
- 1:52:56Speaker 3: no free shoutout, it's you. We're shouting out simple things
- 1:52:58Speaker 3: of the world. Whether it can be a per said,
- 1:53:00Speaker 3: it can be an event, it can be a little moment. Recently,
- 1:53:02Speaker 3: I want to say Quentin Nelson, he shout it out,
- 1:53:05Speaker 3: or maybe JP did the cold water fountains back in
- 1:53:08Speaker 3: high school, back in the elementary school, JP, I want
- 1:53:11Speaker 3: to shout it out the wall, like a concrete wall,
- 1:53:13Speaker 3: something small.
- 1:53:14Speaker 1: I think I got one.
- 1:53:15Speaker 3: Yeah, could be a person going first, yeah, sure, or
- 1:53:19Speaker 3: do you want to hear one of us go first?
- 1:53:21Speaker 1: No, I got it, okay, shout out, no free shout
- 1:53:24Speaker 1: out right. Airport dryer hand dryers nowadays. I was washing
- 1:53:32Speaker 1: my hands at the airport the other day. I flew
- 1:53:34Speaker 1: back to Iowa City for like three hours and wash
- 1:53:38Speaker 1: my hands. And they have them now where it's dual sided.
- 1:53:41Speaker 1: It's right next to the to the washer, to the
- 1:53:44Speaker 1: sink and dual sided right there actually work because you know,
- 1:53:47Speaker 1: they never really.
- 1:53:48Speaker 3: Work when you got the one pipe going.
- 1:53:51Speaker 1: And then you're hitting it like yeah, but that one
- 1:53:54Speaker 1: was Legit really.
- 1:53:55Speaker 2: Is that the one, the one.
- 1:53:59Speaker 1: Right next to the sink, and it's like and it's
- 1:54:02Speaker 1: both hands too, like you don't have to do one
- 1:54:04Speaker 1: at a time. It's perfect.
- 1:54:06Speaker 3: And in your brain you're thinking, like, how do I
- 1:54:08Speaker 3: do this?
- 1:54:11Speaker 1: It was a tat on top by the sink. It
- 1:54:15Speaker 1: was incredible. I was. I was thoroughly impressed.
- 1:54:18Speaker 2: Man, you gotta find that. That's one shout no free
- 1:54:20Speaker 2: shout out to shout out thank you.
- 1:54:24Speaker 1: This dude, nice one.
- 1:54:26Speaker 3: I do have one ahead my shout on no free
- 1:54:28Speaker 3: shout out. I don't know how people are going to
- 1:54:30Speaker 3: react to this, but overall it's a very positive thing.
- 1:54:32Speaker 3: My old man. He quit drinking. Really, Yes, my dad
- 1:54:36Speaker 3: quit drinking you see. Yeah, big big shout out to
- 1:54:39Speaker 3: Bill Compton.
- 1:54:40Speaker 2: Christmas is gonna suck this year.
- 1:54:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:54:45Speaker 2: Any Way, till.
- 1:54:47Speaker 3: When he was telling my little brother Wyatt and Scott
- 1:54:50Speaker 3: when they came over. He had them over and basically
- 1:54:53Speaker 3: was like, I'm glad you guys both came here and
- 1:54:54Speaker 3: got some bad news. And they thought it was like
- 1:54:56Speaker 3: a really bad thing. He's like, I quit drinking beer.
- 1:54:58Speaker 3: And they're like, what the fuck you talk talking about?
- 1:55:01Speaker 2: He quit drinking beer, or he quit drinking alcohol.
- 1:55:04Speaker 3: Quit drinking alcohol.
- 1:55:05Speaker 2: He's a beer guy, He's a I still he was like,
- 1:55:08Speaker 2: I'm gonna go harder.
- 1:55:09Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean this is this is somebody who puts
- 1:55:11Speaker 3: down at least probably six eighty Yeah.
- 1:55:13Speaker 2: I mean Bill Staple is going to a party, finding
- 1:55:15Speaker 2: the best chair, sitting in and putting in a lip
- 1:55:17Speaker 2: in and drinking as many cold beer as possibly can
- 1:55:19Speaker 2: with the fact that is Bill Compton.
- 1:55:20Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, but he quit, man, he quit cold turkey,
- 1:55:23Speaker 3: and he said it was not hard really, And he
- 1:55:25Speaker 3: shot me a text the other day. I asked how
- 1:55:27Speaker 3: everything's going, because this is about This is about two
- 1:55:31Speaker 3: weeks old, and I asked how he was doing. He said,
- 1:55:35Speaker 3: I've been owning my mornings by by the Way up
- 1:55:37Speaker 3: before seven thirty, even on weekends, getting my walks in
- 1:55:40Speaker 3: weights are getting up close to what I was doing
- 1:55:41Speaker 3: a few years ago. So I'm fired up for Bill Compton.
- 1:55:45Speaker 3: Yes drinking, and I think it's good that because he'll
- 1:55:50Speaker 3: be watching this. It's good for the public accountability as well.
- 1:55:53Speaker 3: So he's got to stay true to it, has to.
- 1:55:54Speaker 3: But very fired up.
- 1:55:55Speaker 2: And the minute if he does relapse it anyway, you
- 1:55:58Speaker 2: have to call him out in this podcast.
- 1:56:00Speaker 3: Have to Yeah, yeah, you hear that. Then we have
- 1:56:02Speaker 3: to call you out of leson anyway. But I'm fired
- 1:56:05Speaker 3: up for.
- 1:56:06Speaker 2: Christmas, cool Bill, because I need you for digit houses
- 1:56:10Speaker 2: at my house. It's like it doesn't count.
- 1:56:12Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, holidays don't count.
- 1:56:13Speaker 2: YEA, Holidays don't count. My shoutout for show is not
- 1:56:17Speaker 2: a small shout out, and it's going to go to OFB,
- 1:56:20Speaker 2: which stands for oh yeah, I'm a fuck boys Now.
- 1:56:23Speaker 2: I went to a wedding in Canada and this wedding
- 1:56:28Speaker 2: was a unique wedding like I've never seen before. It
- 1:56:30Speaker 2: was one hundred people. Everyone went to this big field
- 1:56:33Speaker 2: one hundred and eighty acres at this guy's property, and
- 1:56:35Speaker 2: they had trailers. Everyone just stayed in trailers, and everyone's
- 1:56:39Speaker 2: kind of camping out and doing those things. And I
- 1:56:41Speaker 2: meet Dallas Sanger, Dallas Sanger's tailor's cousin, my wife's cousin.
- 1:56:45Speaker 2: And Dallas is a good boy, top notch cat. But
- 1:56:48Speaker 2: I met his friends, and his friends were the best
- 1:56:53Speaker 2: group of friends I have ever seen in my entire life.
- 1:56:56Speaker 2: They all have o FB tattoo that they all gave
- 1:56:58Speaker 2: each other. There's a there's a tattoo gun that they're
- 1:57:01Speaker 2: all sharing the same needle and tattooing each other different things.
- 1:57:06Speaker 2: But that's not why I'm shotting them out. Everybody knows,
- 1:57:09Speaker 2: like when you and your boys that have been around
- 1:57:11Speaker 2: each other for a long time go out and everybody
- 1:57:13Speaker 2: gets drunk. But one guy gets too drunk where he
- 1:57:15Speaker 2: starts getting like nostalgic, interie eyed, and he wants to
- 1:57:18Speaker 2: tell you how much he loves you, And it's like, bro,
- 1:57:22Speaker 2: come on, it's not the You just know you got
- 1:57:24Speaker 2: to put this guy to bed soon. What I witnessed
- 1:57:27Speaker 2: at this wedding as the sun was setting at eleven
- 1:57:30Speaker 2: PM in Canada. All these guys were equally that drunk,
- 1:57:34Speaker 2: just loving each other. No one was the hey, man,
- 1:57:37Speaker 2: we don't got to do this right now. It was
- 1:57:39Speaker 2: around a bonfire, and these boys sat there and told
- 1:57:42Speaker 2: each other how much they love each other. There were
- 1:57:43Speaker 2: songs playing, They're singing as loud as they can. They
- 1:57:45Speaker 2: know there's fifty people sitting around, but to those six
- 1:57:49Speaker 2: seven boys, it was just them. And I sat back
- 1:57:52Speaker 2: in a chair and just watched them, being like, that
- 1:57:54Speaker 2: is the pinnacle of friend groups, something that probably none
- 1:57:57Speaker 2: of us have ever experienced.
- 1:57:59Speaker 3: It was, it was.
- 1:58:00Speaker 2: It was one of the most beautiful, rare things I
- 1:58:03Speaker 2: have ever seen in my entire life. So my shadow
- 1:58:05Speaker 2: goes to f B and myself I did get offered
- 1:58:10Speaker 2: o f B. It's like, hey, how do I get
- 1:58:12Speaker 2: in iled? How do I get this tat? Yeah, they
- 1:58:15Speaker 2: had a bunch of good boys out there.
- 1:58:16Speaker 3: Man, good shout out, no free shadow.
- 1:58:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:58:20Speaker 3: For this next segment, our twisted question comes to us
- 1:58:23Speaker 3: from Mitch. He says he has a.
- 1:58:26Speaker 2: Good one as of right now. CEF twenty five has
- 1:58:28Speaker 2: been out for twelve minutes as of right now, So
- 1:58:30Speaker 2: we gotta this one.
- 1:58:34Speaker 3: Its been a great You've been awesome, This has been
- 1:58:36Speaker 3: a great. Appreciate, Yes, appreciate that this one comes from JP,
- 1:58:42Speaker 3: come from JP. Hovey.
- 1:58:43Speaker 8: Would you rather be an unknown superhero or a famous villain?
- 1:58:47Speaker 1: That's uh, unknown super Yeah, unknown superhero.
- 1:58:53Speaker 3: I don't know if it's easy. I think you all
- 1:58:54Speaker 3: flirt with the idea of like, yeah, you could be
- 1:58:56Speaker 3: a badass villain. Yeah that's known, and you're just you're
- 1:59:00Speaker 3: calling your own shots.
- 1:59:01Speaker 1: It's like the Joker. I'm pretty low key though. I'd
- 1:59:03Speaker 1: rather just I don't need to be famous.
- 1:59:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm just thinking of my brain. Like when you
- 1:59:07Speaker 3: get those RPG games and you get to either go
- 1:59:09Speaker 3: villain or good guy. You start off thinking about the
- 1:59:12Speaker 3: idea of being a villain, and it's a video game,
- 1:59:14Speaker 3: so nobody's gonna know, right, but you ultimately end up
- 1:59:16Speaker 3: making the good decisions just to get back in good
- 1:59:18Speaker 3: favor with the crowd and the town and everything else.
- 1:59:20Speaker 3: So I'm gonna go with unknown hero.
- 1:59:22Speaker 2: That's a good one. I'm gonna go villain just being
- 1:59:26Speaker 2: like the first person that always comes to mind is
- 1:59:29Speaker 2: the Joker from Dark Knight, and that is all time.
- 1:59:34Speaker 2: Just calling your shots, doing what you want. Everyone knows.
- 1:59:38Speaker 3: You don't know what his moves are because you don't know.
- 1:59:41Speaker 2: If you're a super famous villain, you know you're known
- 1:59:44Speaker 2: for being just multiple steps ahead of the government. And
- 1:59:48Speaker 2: that's mad and that's badass. I'll take that. I'll take
- 1:59:51Speaker 2: the villain. Good question question, good question.
- 1:59:55Speaker 1: What did you go with you gonown hero for sure? Yeah?
- 1:59:59Speaker 1: I mean and on being a bunch of land just
- 2:00:03Speaker 1: be able to break and do whatever you want.
- 2:00:06Speaker 3: Should be Clark Kent.
- 2:00:07Speaker 1: Oh, so sick? Yeah, where are some wear some glasses?
- 2:00:10Speaker 1: Nobody knows who you are? So sick?
- 2:00:13Speaker 3: Have superpowers?
- 2:00:14Speaker 2: You get a superhero, unknown hero, superhero a little bit.
- 2:00:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:00:22Speaker 2: So you couldn't go play a sport, right, I mean
- 2:00:25Speaker 2: you could Superman, and you're like, I don't really feel
- 2:00:27Speaker 2: like protecting people. I'm just gonna go be the best
- 2:00:29Speaker 2: football player ever.
- 2:00:30Speaker 3: Never get hurt, never get In Small Hill, which is
- 2:00:33Speaker 3: based around uh Superman, he was a very good high
- 2:00:36Speaker 3: school football player, did just enough. I remember one time
- 2:00:39Speaker 3: he was throwing the ball and right when you release it,
- 2:00:42Speaker 3: he ran somewhere save somebody, stop something from happening, and
- 2:00:44Speaker 3: got back in just to get hit and throw the
- 2:00:46Speaker 3: game winning touchdown.
- 2:00:50Speaker 2: Yeah, well you tell me Superman didn't make the league.
- 2:00:53Speaker 3: I'm just saying in small Villa, in this show, which
- 2:00:55Speaker 3: was a phenomenal show, and shout out my boy Logan
- 2:00:57Speaker 3: that we watch this every week. This is one of
- 2:00:59Speaker 3: our soap opers every week. All right, banger show Brola.
- 2:01:06Speaker 3: Remember remember like him and him and Lana they had
- 2:01:08Speaker 3: their relationship. But I remember when the song that Lifehouse
- 2:01:11Speaker 3: song hits super hard. What was what was the name
- 2:01:13Speaker 3: of that song? Hey, type in type in uh, Smallville, Lifehouse, Lifehouse,
- 2:01:26Speaker 3: incredible song. You would know it. We will, we will
- 2:01:30Speaker 3: all know this because it's you and me.
- 2:01:35Speaker 2: And all love the people and nothing.
- 2:01:39Speaker 3: Because he loved Lana and it's almost like he didn't
- 2:01:41Speaker 3: know how to tell her all the time.
- 2:01:43Speaker 2: This is a classic bad acting storyline show.
- 2:01:46Speaker 3: You would love it back in the day. Back in
- 2:01:48Speaker 3: the day, this was great. This was a great routine Smallville.
- 2:01:51Speaker 3: And then you'd also hit one tree Hill the next day.
- 2:01:53Speaker 1: Lana reminds me of Too Hot to Handle. You've seen
- 2:01:56Speaker 1: that show, watch it all the time.
- 2:01:58Speaker 3: It's right there. Gosh, she's a fox, but yeah, she's
- 2:02:06Speaker 3: no Topanga. She's no Topanga, But she's a great one.
- 2:02:12Speaker 2: Was our age groups, like.
- 2:02:14Speaker 3: I mean, that was the come up, that was the crush.
- 2:02:16Speaker 2: Yeah, that was I think everybody in our age groups
- 2:02:18Speaker 2: first crush.
- 2:02:20Speaker 1: Yeah Panga.
- 2:02:21Speaker 3: Maybe maybe he's he's younger than us. Who is your
- 2:02:24Speaker 3: like celebrity crush in the TV show world growing up.
- 2:02:28Speaker 1: TV show, I was a big friends guy. So Jennifer Andnson, Yeah,
- 2:02:33Speaker 1: that's a good one. But Megan Fox and.
- 2:02:36Speaker 2: Transformers, that's a movie. She took everybody's heart.
- 2:02:42Speaker 1: She did take everyone's hearts.
- 2:02:44Speaker 2: Didny change to bring back their original movies?
- 2:02:46Speaker 3: Patty Manonnaise? Oh yeah, getting into the animated follow.
- 2:02:53Speaker 2: Halloween?
- 2:02:55Speaker 1: Legit sneaky just out of nowhere.
- 2:03:02Speaker 2: She looks so different.
- 2:03:04Speaker 3: Now, that's one of the most iconic photos of all time.
- 2:03:06Speaker 3: You can put that one.
- 2:03:07Speaker 2: Next how's your body moving like that?
- 2:03:08Speaker 3: You put that one next to Trump, Johnny Cash or
