- 0:00Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 0:03Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 0:07Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 0:11Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 0:15Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 0:19Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy nom the United States
- 0:23Speaker 1: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 0:28Speaker 1: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 0:31Speaker 1: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 0:35Speaker 1: are here illegally, your next you will be fined nearly
- 0:39Speaker 1: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned, and deported. You will
- 0:43Speaker 1: never return. But if you register using our CBP home
- 0:46Speaker 1: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Do what's right. Leave now. Under President Trump, America's laws,
- 0:55Speaker 1: border and families will be protected.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Let's talk about Charlemagne the God HM shout out Charlomagne
- 1:07Speaker 3: the God Show. So it's what do you think of
- 1:11Speaker 3: Charlemagne's prediction that media companies are dying in this era
- 1:18Speaker 3: and there will eventually only be two main streaming companies
- 1:24Speaker 3: that will remain after the collapse.
- 1:27Speaker 4: Yeah, this is something him.
- 1:28Speaker 5: And show has talked about on Brilliant Idiots, and I
- 1:31Speaker 5: posted it this past weekend. Going back to the actors strike,
- 1:35Speaker 5: I think one of the things that is not talked
- 1:38Speaker 5: about enough and that they brought up is that the
- 1:43Speaker 5: profitability is not there how everyone thinks. I know Joe,
- 1:46Speaker 5: when he was in the spotiations, he asked a brilliant
- 1:49Speaker 5: question that never got answered, which was what is the
- 1:52Speaker 5: value of a stream? And Spotify never gave that answer
- 1:57Speaker 5: for a multitude of reasons. I think a lot of
- 1:59Speaker 5: these companies are in a bad position because they are
- 2:03Speaker 5: not as profitable and they just spend too much money
- 2:06Speaker 5: on content, Like it's a horrible model to make a
- 2:09Speaker 5: show for one hundred million dollars and expected to make
- 2:12Speaker 5: the money back fourteen dollars or nine dollars at a time.
- 2:15Speaker 4: I don't know if there will be two.
- 2:18Speaker 5: Players only, but I think there will be a big four,
- 2:20Speaker 5: as there is in most businesses. I think it'll eventually
- 2:23Speaker 5: just be Apple, Netflix, Hulu and maybe one player.
- 2:28Speaker 4: But like this proliferation of a whole bunch of streaming apps.
- 2:32Speaker 5: The margins are not there, and we see it as
- 2:34Speaker 5: reflective in Disney wanting to get rid of ESPN that're
- 2:38Speaker 5: making Leus Star Wars content. They want to get rid
- 2:41Speaker 5: of Marvel. So if you're telling me that the best
- 2:45Speaker 5: media brand in American history is selling off arguably one
- 2:49Speaker 5: of the best sports brands, the best cartoon brand, and
- 2:53Speaker 5: the best sci fi brand, you can't tell me the
- 2:56Speaker 5: Spotify is fucking crushing it.
- 2:58Speaker 4: It's impossible.
- 3:00Speaker 5: And it's a conversation that, like we've had before, and
- 3:04Speaker 5: I always ask the question if I was given one
- 3:06Speaker 5: point two billion dollars to build a podcast division and
- 3:10Speaker 5: the only hit I got out of it was Joe
- 3:12Speaker 5: Rogan and Will Smith did twelve episodes and Megan and
- 3:16Speaker 5: Harry did fifteen episodes and then they just walked off.
- 3:20Speaker 5: How Rick Ross did on eighty five South, what would
- 3:23Speaker 5: I be called? And it was just some kind of
- 3:27Speaker 5: blunder for Daniel at Spotify. And I don't have any
- 3:29Speaker 5: issue with day. I think he's an amazing CEO. But
- 3:32Speaker 5: I think the truth is going to be told and
- 3:34Speaker 5: maybe a year or two about the majority of these
- 3:36Speaker 5: media companies, and I keep saying that. I ask you guys,
- 3:39Speaker 5: as Charlotte Maine, that's Joe shows how many people may
- 3:43Speaker 5: are making a million.
- 3:44Speaker 4: Dollars more from podcasting or media. Not many.
- 3:48Speaker 5: If the numbers were so insane that a talent was
- 3:53Speaker 5: drawn in forty and fifty million dollars a year from
- 3:55Speaker 5: that show, it'll be easy to pay him a million dollars.
- 3:58Speaker 5: The reason why there aren't a lot of making a
- 4:00Speaker 5: million dollars plus in the space.
- 4:01Speaker 4: Is because they don't draw that much value.
- 4:03Speaker 5: And I think we're seeing it as scale as we
- 4:06Speaker 5: are in a recession that they will not announce the
- 4:09Speaker 5: most media properties are not doing as well as we think.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Uh Man, that was well said. That was well said.
- 4:17Speaker 6: He's onto something and he's pretty accurate when when I
- 4:20Speaker 6: looked at it from in terms of it's like the
- 4:23Speaker 6: jay Z line, less is more right. So when we
- 4:26Speaker 6: watched Bob Iger speak, if you read it between the lines,
- 4:30Speaker 6: he's telling you the same thing. Less is morse when
- 4:32Speaker 6: he's saying like, yes, Pixar, we've missed. If we're gonna
- 4:36Speaker 6: be honest, we've missed on a bunch of movies. We're
- 4:38Speaker 6: gonna cut back on making those movies. Right, we had
- 4:42Speaker 6: Star Wars and you know, Lucas Films put out the
- 4:45Speaker 6: Knee Jones movie.
- 4:47Speaker 2: It didn't hit like we thought.
- 4:48Speaker 4: I didn't even know it came out.
- 4:51Speaker 2: It didn't hit like they thought it would. All right,
- 4:53Speaker 2: well we've got to scale back.
- 4:54Speaker 6: But I think the Marvel thing is the biggest one
- 4:56Speaker 6: because it was like, Okay, the movies did so well,
- 4:59Speaker 6: and that was leading up to the pandemic. But then
- 5:02Speaker 6: they started putting out shows that nobody watched. So we
- 5:05Speaker 6: have to cut back. The problem is that Disney's won.
- 5:09Speaker 6: But I mean all these streaming services Netflix, even to
- 5:12Speaker 6: a certain extent, they're they're accumulating debt with no real
- 5:17Speaker 6: concrete strategy of how to accumulate more revenue.
- 5:21Speaker 2: And that's that's the real issue, right.
- 5:22Speaker 6: So like when when Ires talking about, hey, yeah we
- 5:25Speaker 6: have ESPN, but you know these contracts that we have
- 5:28Speaker 6: with these leagues, they cost billions. How are we going
- 5:31Speaker 6: to pay for it? How do we keep them and
- 5:33Speaker 6: paid for it? And so reading between that is like, now,
- 5:36Speaker 6: who is the company that is going to partner to
- 5:39Speaker 6: purchase ESPN to have those rights, because I'm sure they'll
- 5:42Speaker 6: I'm sure Disney will want to stay involved in it somehow,
- 5:45Speaker 6: right because they own ABC and they caick and broadcast nationally.
- 5:49Speaker 6: So who becomes that Does it become an apple to say, okay,
- 5:53Speaker 6: we'll partner, we'll we'll take the sports division, we'll take
- 5:55Speaker 6: ESPN and we'll figure this out. Or and this was
- 5:58Speaker 6: an interesting one and I didn't even think of it.
- 6:01Speaker 6: What if a company like Fanatics decides that we are
- 6:06Speaker 6: now your sports partner. They already have the merchandising, yes,
- 6:10Speaker 6: but they don't have the network to do TV.
- 6:13Speaker 2: But what if you can bomb both of them?
- 6:16Speaker 6: Now it becomes interesting. And so we talked about Michael
- 6:18Speaker 6: Woman all the time. We've watched the networth of his
- 6:20Speaker 6: company grow. We watched a girl from two billion to
- 6:23Speaker 6: six billion. Now I think it's evaluated like twenty eight billion.
- 6:26Speaker 6: What if they now decide to partner because they already
- 6:29Speaker 6: have licensing deals with all the leagues for the merchandising. Now,
- 6:33Speaker 6: what if we package the lyrigandizing with the TV rights?
- 6:36Speaker 2: That becomes super interesting.
- 6:38Speaker 5: Great, you got a crystal ball. Great minds thinking like
- 6:40Speaker 5: you know, when they had that party. The first thing
- 6:42Speaker 5: I thought, this looks like the title rollout from ten
- 6:45Speaker 5: years ago. How do you get jay z lebron meek,
- 6:49Speaker 5: little baby getting hug from behind Paul's right to get
- 6:53Speaker 5: all those people in the same room at the same time.
- 6:56Speaker 5: You think they was there just to drink do s.
- 7:00Speaker 5: I'm like, damn, this looks like the title rollout but better.
- 7:03Speaker 5: And Jay's already infiltrated and took over sports. Robinson could
- 7:08Speaker 5: know you come up with me, he told y'all ten
- 7:10Speaker 5: years ago. Good put out the book A hole and say, Okay,
- 7:14Speaker 5: what would be best? Find a way for your talent
- 7:17Speaker 5: to be on TV that you own or network that
- 7:19Speaker 5: you own all the time.
- 7:20Speaker 4: I think it would be the next evolution.
- 7:22Speaker 5: So I definitely agree while everything is in recession, and
- 7:25Speaker 5: the other issue we don't have enough people that want
- 7:28Speaker 5: to be consumers when everybody wants to be a star.
- 7:33Speaker 3: Well, I think that also, it's a new age of media.
- 7:36Speaker 3: I think, like, who's really watching movies at a fast
- 7:39Speaker 3: paced these days? Like people? I know some people are
- 7:42Speaker 3: still to watch movies, but the vast majority I'm I'm
- 7:44Speaker 3: on my phone, I'm not really watching movies. So many
- 7:47Speaker 3: movies come out on Netflix that I've never seen, or
- 7:50Speaker 3: they come out on these weird streaming services to tube
- 7:55Speaker 3: not ain't even to be But I mean, let's just
- 7:57Speaker 3: be honest. Have you ever watched anything on Apple Plus?
- 8:00Speaker 3: Shot to Steph Curry's documentary just came up? But I
- 8:02Speaker 3: have to know it just is what it is.
- 8:05Speaker 4: I watched one interview with Oprah on there.
- 8:07Speaker 3: I've never watched one thing on Apple Plus. I probably
- 8:10Speaker 3: watched two things on Hulu.
- 8:12Speaker 4: Is on Apple Plus or No?
- 8:14Speaker 2: You know you said you don't consume TV.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Though, but I'm just saying I don't know anybody. I'm
- 8:17Speaker 3: still I'm in the loop. Nobody's watching Apple Plus.
- 8:20Speaker 2: People are watching Apple Plus. You don't consume it.
- 8:23Speaker 3: But we're gonna be honest. So we're just gonna be people.
- 8:25Speaker 6: I'm gonna tell you no, honest, honestly our people is
- 8:30Speaker 6: it Netflix?
- 8:31Speaker 4: No?
- 8:31Speaker 3: But people are consuming the contest. Do you know anybody
- 8:34Speaker 3: that watches Apple Plus on a regular you know me?
- 8:37Speaker 6: No, that's not that's not a fair assessment. I know you,
- 8:39Speaker 6: you know me, I've watched content on that.
- 8:42Speaker 4: Everybody is fudging the numbers and streaming.
- 8:45Speaker 2: That's true too.
- 8:47Speaker 3: It's not passing the eye text.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Both things are not passing it. Both things are true.
- 8:50Speaker 3: It's not passing, Like you said, just get cost money
- 8:53Speaker 3: to produce these things. There's movies, these documentaries. He shows
- 8:56Speaker 3: it costs money to produce. It's going on on these
- 8:59Speaker 3: these streamings services that's behind a paywall. At least on
- 9:02Speaker 3: YouTube you can see numbers. They might be inflated, but
- 9:04Speaker 3: at least you can see the numbers. Like Revolt. I'm
- 9:06Speaker 3: not sure how many people actually watch Revault on TV,
- 9:09Speaker 3: but you can see the numbers on YouTube. Drink Champs,
- 9:11Speaker 3: Tony Yayo's just three million views in three days, like
- 9:14Speaker 3: shout out to Revolt. As so Reliability Season three comes
- 9:16Speaker 3: out shameless pluck. But all I'm saying is that I
- 9:21Speaker 3: think it's just a new age of media and I
- 9:26Speaker 3: think low costing content. This is why you know, high quality,
- 9:32Speaker 3: this is why, this is why the podcast scene has
- 9:33Speaker 3: really taken off. It's low costing content. It's easy to produce,
- 9:38Speaker 3: it's easy to put out. And I think that you know,
- 9:40Speaker 3: content has become like music. Before music meant a lot,
- 9:44Speaker 3: and you had an album and you would sit with
- 9:46Speaker 3: that album for six months. Now Gunna comes out with
- 9:50Speaker 3: a song and then Takashi six nine comes out with
- 9:52Speaker 3: a song with Kodak Black three days later. It's just
- 9:55Speaker 3: this is so disposable. It's so disposable. That's how content is.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Content is like Drake doesn't interview in bed with the
- 10:01Speaker 3: TikTok girl, and then Elliott Wilson he's going back and
- 10:04Speaker 3: forth with Drake the next week. It's just like it's
- 10:07Speaker 3: just like you got it. It's so disposable, like the
- 10:09Speaker 3: content and Dames Dame dash warned does shout the Dane
- 10:13Speaker 3: when Dame on the Breakfast Club ten years ago, and
- 10:16Speaker 3: he was very insightful conversation that he had and that's
- 10:20Speaker 3: when he was he was telling Mvy then like yo,
- 10:22Speaker 3: you don't own this, and then MVY was like, I
- 10:24Speaker 3: own I own a stock in the company. I don't
- 10:26Speaker 3: even think the company's publicly trade. I'm not sure he
- 10:28Speaker 3: owned stocks. Yeah, it was that was difficult. That's difficult
- 10:33Speaker 3: for him to do. But it was just a difficult thing.
- 10:39Speaker 3: But the thing about it is that the thing about
- 10:42Speaker 3: it is that you have to you have to read
- 10:49Speaker 3: the tea leaves.
- 10:50Speaker 2: This is true.
- 10:50Speaker 3: You have to read the tea leaves. And Charlemagne was
- 10:53Speaker 3: smart enough to read the tea leaves. He started not
- 10:56Speaker 3: only his podcast, that he's done, but he starts to black.
- 11:00Speaker 6: This episode is brought to you by P and C Bank.
- 11:03Speaker 6: A lot of people think podcasts about work are boring,
- 11:06Speaker 6: and sure they definitely can be, but understanding a professionals

- 12:51Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 12:54Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from El Salvador
- 12:58Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas. Man of Venezuelan charged with
- 13:03Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 13:07Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 13:10Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy nom the United States
- 13:14Speaker 1: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 13:19Speaker 1: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 13:22Speaker 1: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 13:26Speaker 1: are here illegally, your next you will be fine nearly
- 13:30Speaker 1: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned and deported, you will
- 13:34Speaker 1: never return. But if you register using our CBP home
- 13:37Speaker 1: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Do what's right, leave now. Under President Trump America's laws,
- 13:46Speaker 1: border and families will be protected.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
- 13:51Speaker 3: So that podcast network, right, this makes sense because now
- 13:55Speaker 3: you go into the lane of where media is headed.
- 13:58Speaker 3: So it'll be interesting to see where where media plays
- 14:00Speaker 3: over the next ten years. But I just feel like
- 14:03Speaker 3: a lot of peoples wasting a lot of money these
- 14:05Speaker 3: streaming services. Nobody's watching them. And yeah, it's just it's
- 14:09Speaker 3: not a good business model.
- 14:10Speaker 6: So you agreeing with what all you're saying, He's saying
- 14:13Speaker 6: the same exact thing. Less, it's more like, we messed
- 14:16Speaker 6: this up. How are we going to fix this? Here's
- 14:18Speaker 6: how we've got to stop doing this.
- 14:20Speaker 2: This isn't making any money. We overshot this.
- 14:23Speaker 6: There's nobody's watching she hok, no disrespect, but nobody's watching it. Right,
- 14:28Speaker 6: You can put out there, nobody's watching it.
- 14:29Speaker 3: Right.
- 14:30Speaker 2: It used to be like, hey, if we create these characters.
- 14:32Speaker 6: Then they do well in the endgame and then we
- 14:34Speaker 6: can give them their own individual series.
- 14:37Speaker 2: And that might have.
- 14:38Speaker 6: Worked for one or two, but some of these characters
- 14:41Speaker 6: there's no investment in them.
- 14:43Speaker 2: Right then they put it It.
- 14:44Speaker 6: Didn't work on the streaming, so they put it on
- 14:46Speaker 6: ABC and start you started seeing Agent Shield on.
- 14:50Speaker 2: What is that it's going?
- 14:51Speaker 6: Because nobody there's no investment there, so they overdid it
- 14:55Speaker 6: so less it's more.
- 14:56Speaker 4: And of course when you didn't watch the Agent Child, No,
- 15:00Speaker 4: absolutely no, this show is terrible, shout who's on the show.
- 15:04Speaker 5: But but like when you are not having it's too
- 15:07Speaker 5: many suits in the creative business that is not looking
- 15:11Speaker 5: to make great creative and of course, like you have
- 15:14Speaker 5: to judge a business like how can it thrive? And
- 15:17Speaker 5: and an economy when people don't have a surplus of money.
- 15:20Speaker 5: In twenty eighteen, twenty nineteen, twenty twenty, up until March,
- 15:23Speaker 5: everyone thought everything was fine. Always calibrate to see, okay, great,
- 15:27Speaker 5: how well will things do if the market drives up
- 15:31Speaker 5: and people don't have as much money?
- 15:32Speaker 4: Number two?
- 15:33Speaker 5: Once again, like Rashata said, the costs for these shows
- 15:35Speaker 5: with you damn high, so like you have to find
- 15:39Speaker 5: everything is a hedge fund business. Like as soon as
- 15:41Speaker 5: I saw Pat McAfee get brought over the ESPN, I'm like,
- 15:46Speaker 5: I wonder how much the betting will go up because
- 15:49Speaker 5: he's a player that can call things on the fly
- 15:52Speaker 5: in real time, that can make people money. As soon
- 15:55Speaker 5: as I saw Romo say hey, this is the play
- 15:57Speaker 5: they're going to run and people start betting on it,
- 15:59Speaker 5: that's the head truck business.
- 16:01Speaker 4: It's all about risk to reward.
- 16:03Speaker 5: Like if I paid ten dollars for content, can I
- 16:06Speaker 5: get one hundred dollars out of it? It's really hard
- 16:08Speaker 5: to make up a three hundred million dollar movie fifteen
- 16:12Speaker 5: dollars or seven dollars at a time.
- 16:13Speaker 4: It's stamn near impossible to do. So.
- 16:16Speaker 3: Hollywood is a place where there is a tremendous amount
- 16:20Speaker 3: of waste. It's a bad business model. They waste money.
- 16:23Speaker 3: There's too many people with their hands in the pot,
- 16:26Speaker 3: they take too long, there's too many gatekeepers, and that's
- 16:31Speaker 3: what they don't strike now. Like technology is going to
- 16:34Speaker 3: replace job no matter how, no matter what they try
- 16:36Speaker 3: to do with the strike and try to put the
- 16:37Speaker 3: language in. You can't. You can't erase AI. It's here
- 16:40Speaker 3: to stay. So the whole idea of Hollywood is fading away.
- 16:46Speaker 3: It's actually it's a bad business model that's dying. And
- 16:51Speaker 3: the student they realize that the better off they'll be,
- 16:54Speaker 3: they're trying to save. They're trying to save the golden
- 16:56Speaker 3: age of Hollywood. It's over Lea through a weapon.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Movie.
- 17:02Speaker 3: It's no, I'm saying that that's never gonna happen like
- 17:05Speaker 3: those are.
- 17:07Speaker 2: It's over like they're trying to do it.
- 17:10Speaker 3: They trying to do. How much money they spent like something,
- 17:13Speaker 3: how much money they spend on Barbie? Huge that budget
- 17:16Speaker 3: is it's not passing the eye test? Did one fifty five?
- 17:19Speaker 3: They spent a billion. They spent a lot, a lot,
- 17:25Speaker 3: they spent a lot.
- 17:26Speaker 6: And if anybody's looking at Mattel, which owns Barbie, and
- 17:30Speaker 6: twenty percent of the revenue from Motel comes from Barbie's merchandising,
- 17:34Speaker 6: and may tease the stock just for you watch.
- 17:36Speaker 2: They spent a lot, they spend a lot.
- 17:38Speaker 3: I don't, I'm not.
- 17:40Speaker 4: I'm not.
- 17:40Speaker 3: I'm just a common sense person. I think they will.
- 17:45Speaker 5: Spend one fifty on marketing and they made one fifty
- 17:48Speaker 5: five first at least one fifty on marketing.
- 17:50Speaker 3: I think they spent more, but that's not that's not
- 17:52Speaker 3: even the actor. That's just domestic. That's just domestic. I
- 17:55Speaker 3: think they're losing money on it. That's my whole point.
- 17:57Speaker 3: We'll see, well, I don't know, I'm not one hundred.
- 17:59Speaker 6: But even if it as well, right, let's say it
- 18:01Speaker 6: does well, there's only been one billion dollar movie and
- 18:03Speaker 6: we can't even count that well, we can't count there's
- 18:05Speaker 6: only been one billion dollar movie.
- 18:07Speaker 2: This year for all the markets and all the movies.
- 18:09Speaker 2: You know what it is?
- 18:10Speaker 4: What's that?
- 18:11Speaker 2: You know?
- 18:12Speaker 3: Back the.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Mario Brothers.
- 18:16Speaker 6: Bro Mario Brothers is the only movie this year, but
- 18:19Speaker 6: they can count Avatar because it came out in December,
- 18:21Speaker 6: So Mary Brothers is the only one that's done a
- 18:23Speaker 6: billion dollars.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Even if this does, it doesn't. It's not a fair assessment.
- 18:28Speaker 6: Of what the movie situation looks like because it's one.
- 18:31Speaker 6: It's one out of how four or five movies comes
- 18:35Speaker 6: come out a week.
- 18:36Speaker 2: We don't go to see any of them. The model
- 18:38Speaker 2: is different.
- 18:39Speaker 6: Now they got thirty days to put it on, but
- 18:43Speaker 6: you brought up something with the Pat McAfee thing, because
- 18:46Speaker 6: Disney is losing money, right, and it's cost.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Him a lot of money.
- 18:51Speaker 6: There's a free agent out there that they keep saying
- 18:53Speaker 6: is coming to the network. Oh baby, what do you
- 18:56Speaker 6: think Shannon Sharper is worth.
- 18:59Speaker 4: The real number?
- 19:00Speaker 2: What's the what do you think the real number?
- 19:01Speaker 4: Right?
- 19:01Speaker 6: Because this toss Even Steve Mana says that, like, you know,
- 19:04Speaker 6: he wants to bring him to the show. If Pat
- 19:05Speaker 6: McAfee is five years eighty five million.
- 19:09Speaker 3: But Steven A. Smith got like twelve million, so under pay.
- 19:13Speaker 4: He's under paid.
- 19:14Speaker 2: Even he's under paid.
- 19:15Speaker 3: To work, like to work seven days a week, going
- 19:19Speaker 3: to Utah, going.
- 19:20Speaker 5: To for real, they got him do a little cross
- 19:23Speaker 5: games and shit, he's running around the running around the
- 19:26Speaker 5: globe for I am good Ya Jesus, somebody go Stephen A.
- 19:33Speaker 5: Smith on the show.
- 19:34Speaker 6: We ain't going back to so Lake now man So,
- 19:38Speaker 6: uh no, it's gonna be interested to see I'm interested
- 19:40Speaker 6: in seeing that, especially when you hear the CEO of
- 19:42Speaker 6: the company saying that, Yo, we're losing money. In fact,
- 19:46Speaker 6: we got to figure out how we're gonna get this
- 19:48Speaker 6: twenty seven billion to get Hulu because that's on the
- 19:51Speaker 6: ticket before the end of the year. Then we got
- 19:53Speaker 6: to figure out how we're going to pay flats to
- 19:54Speaker 6: seventy one million for the search flight deal.
- 19:57Speaker 3: I mean, like, where are we getting the money? Disney
- 20:00Speaker 3: plus too much, they got too much going on.
- 20:04Speaker 2: I think they're gonna combine Hulo and that was one
- 20:06Speaker 2: of the plans, he said.
- 20:07Speaker 4: And I don't know when what happened, and that's cut
- 20:09Speaker 4: you off. But I think one billion.
- 20:10Speaker 2: I'm sorry, seventy one billion, that million.
- 20:14Speaker 4: Jesus. And guess what.
- 20:16Speaker 5: Here's a model that I think would be really amazing.
- 20:20Speaker 5: Shoot a fifteen million dollar movie. Bring it to me.
- 20:24Speaker 5: I'll give you forty sixty percent of the revenue and
- 20:27Speaker 5: we keep forty. And if they incentivize mister Beast to
- 20:31Speaker 5: do it because he's doing these big ass productions, I
- 20:33Speaker 5: think YouTube can end up being one of the biggest
- 20:36Speaker 5: movie producers in the next ten years.
- 20:38Speaker 4: They have a batter. Here's their model.
- 20:40Speaker 5: I'll pay you after this shit works.
- 20:44Speaker 4: Not bad, good idea.
- 20:46Speaker 5: It's only a one percent chance of failure. The way
- 20:48Speaker 5: the Hollywood has been doing it. Any accountant will tell
- 20:51Speaker 5: you that that is an upside down business. Mind you're
- 20:53Speaker 5: running negative, like even if you had a string of
- 20:57Speaker 5: like now Marvel and the Rocket isn't working. I knew
- 21:00Speaker 5: the movie industry was in trouble when they started talking
- 21:03Speaker 5: bad about the Black Adam.
- 21:04Speaker 4: Flop and wanted to get the Rock out of DC.
- 21:07Speaker 5: I said, if he can't make their franchise work and
- 21:10Speaker 5: him a superman, are not getting it, not getting along.
- 21:13Speaker 4: It's over with.
- 21:14Speaker 5: Here's a novel, idea, build something that people want, monetize
- 21:20Speaker 5: it after or the creators. Put your own money up
- 21:23Speaker 5: and bring it up.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Actually, there's only a few franchises that work.
- 21:28Speaker 6: DC's it's a struggle that fast and furious that I
- 21:32Speaker 6: but it's just one franchise that.
- 21:34Speaker 2: They just keep doing over and over and over again.
- 21:36Speaker 2: People love it. But that's yeah, just make the product
- 21:39Speaker 2: and we'll pay you.
- 21:40Speaker 3: It's like success. Like the same thing will corporate is
- 21:43Speaker 3: the same thing with government. They're all stupid and they're
- 21:45Speaker 3: added touch, and they're all the only the only white men,
- 21:49Speaker 3: and it's a it's a small demographic of the society
- 21:51Speaker 3: that's making rules for everything and they're completely out of touch.
- 21:54Speaker 3: Rite the check for investmentest that's a perfect example. If
- 21:57Speaker 3: you I don't know why Investvest doesn't have ten million
- 22:01Speaker 3: dollars in corporate sponsorships because they're out of touch of
- 22:04Speaker 3: what's going on. You get twenty thousand people to come
- 22:07Speaker 3: to learn about financial literacy, what else in the world
- 22:09Speaker 3: has that actually ever happened? And we got to kind
- 22:11Speaker 3: of golden back and forth with pitch decks and because
- 22:14Speaker 3: they are out of touch when real mean and it's
- 22:17Speaker 3: controlled by a small minority of white men who don't
- 22:21Speaker 3: even know what earning leisure is. This is this is
- 22:23Speaker 3: what music. This is why the music sounds like it sounds,
- 22:26Speaker 3: this is why the content has produced how it is.
- 22:29Speaker 3: And it's the same thing over and over again. They're
- 22:32Speaker 3: wasting money and they don't know what's what's happening with
- 22:35Speaker 3: culture society, and they keep just striking out, and they
- 22:39Speaker 3: get afforded luxuries to keep striking out, and they get rehired.
- 22:43Speaker 3: They get fired from one company, and then they get
- 22:45Speaker 3: hired at another company. And it's a whole network of
- 22:47Speaker 3: nonsense and it's been happening forever.
- 22:52Speaker 6: Yeah, that was powered and he's accurate.
- 23:00Speaker 5: Anyone who thinks this is just as right when I say, hey,
- 23:02Speaker 5: we don't have twenty five productive companies, or like why
- 23:06Speaker 5: do you guys always talk about Apple and Microsoft because
- 23:10Speaker 5: Dura sell is not a great company, so sorry, Like
- 23:16Speaker 5: most of the companies that we love are not even here.
- 23:20Speaker 5: Samsung is not an American property, Like there's a real
- 23:24Speaker 5: we have so much inefficiency and like you said in
- 23:26Speaker 5: schooling bureaucracy, government corporate like like the bloat is too
- 23:33Speaker 5: much and then it's a slow erosion of our economy
- 23:36Speaker 5: as a result. But then the biggest companies could go
- 23:39Speaker 5: to other countries that they help build but won't help
- 23:41Speaker 5: build us here.
- 23:43Speaker 4: But what do I know if I made you money?
- 23:45Speaker 5: Please put yes and chat media businesses are in trouble.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Thank you, Charlie Man.
