- 0:00Speaker 1: That is the President of the United States speaking in
- 0:03Speaker 1: Israel today to a packed crowd. There were two Kanesset
- 0:08Speaker 1: members that started shouting, and security he had to remove
- 0:11Speaker 1: them and take him out. We think they were with
- 0:13Speaker 1: the opposition party. He thanked so many different people, but
- 0:16Speaker 1: I think something that shocked us all. And it seems
- 0:18Speaker 1: like he had lived this. He said it wasn't in
- 0:19Speaker 1: the teleprompter. Was He asked the President of Israel to
- 0:23Speaker 1: please pardon Bebee.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Yeah, and the Kanessa went bonkers in there a wide
- 0:29Speaker 2: range in speech. He talked about peace. He talked about
- 0:31Speaker 2: the relationship between the United States and Israel, but he
- 0:35Speaker 2: also talked about the Muslim world and the growth of
- 0:41Speaker 2: the peace deals that really started with Abraham Accord.
- 0:45Speaker 3: And of course the first person he walks over to
- 0:47Speaker 3: speak to is President Herzog after asking him to pardon
- 0:53Speaker 3: Benjamin Nett and Yahoo. President Trump talked about this peace
- 0:58Speaker 3: deal as the miracle in the desert, and he talked
- 1:02Speaker 3: about a future of peace, calling it the hoping for
- 1:07Speaker 3: the golden age of Israel and the golden age of
- 1:11Speaker 3: the Middle East.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Yeah. He kept referring to his conversation with the Prime
- 1:14Speaker 2: Minister where he said, Bibie, the world is big and
- 1:17Speaker 2: it's time, and he said, I believe that the Prime
- 1:20Speaker 2: Minister was ready for peace. Of course, he always said
- 1:24Speaker 2: that Hamas started this fight. Let's bring in Benjamin Hall.
- 1:27Speaker 2: What did you make up of this historic speech, Benjamin.
- 1:33Speaker 4: What a remarkable speech this was, Lawrence. You know, it
- 1:36Speaker 4: was first of all a speech of celebration. This was
- 1:39Speaker 4: President Trump taking credit really for in just two weeks
- 1:43Speaker 4: since he first proposed the twenty point piece plan for
- 1:46Speaker 4: it coming into action. And he talked about seeing those
- 1:49Speaker 4: hostages being released, which for two years has been the
- 1:53Speaker 4: main goal of Israel. Get those hostages home. And if
- 1:56Speaker 4: you see some of those images and videos that are
- 1:58Speaker 4: just being released they're meeting their families, you will just
- 2:00Speaker 4: see what a significant move and moment this is for
- 2:03Speaker 4: that whole country. So yes, it was about peace. It
- 2:06Speaker 4: was about how terrorism can never work. It was about
- 2:08Speaker 4: moving on, and he said that time and time again,
- 2:11Speaker 4: hatred and terrorism will never work. Instead, we must build.
- 2:15Speaker 4: And that was his next big message. It was a
- 2:18Speaker 4: message to the region and a message to the world
- 2:20Speaker 4: about how if you leave the horror behind, you can
- 2:23Speaker 4: build something great. And he talked about the relationships that
- 2:26Speaker 4: he's developed between the Abraham in the Abraham Accords and
- 2:29Speaker 4: how it might possibly grow. And he talked about these
- 2:31Speaker 4: wealthy nations coming to help Gaza and to rebuild Gaza.
- 2:34Speaker 4: He said to them, it's going to cost a huge
- 2:36Speaker 4: amount of money to rebuild guards that they say he
- 2:38Speaker 4: could be up to fifty billion, perhaps more, but he
- 2:41Speaker 4: said that is so little for these wealthy countries when
- 2:43Speaker 4: you bear in mind what could happen for the region.
- 2:46Speaker 4: And he was also very set and he's talked a
- 2:48Speaker 4: few times about the importance of a strong military. You know,
- 2:52Speaker 4: President Trump beilieves firmly that it is through a strong
- 2:54Speaker 4: military then you can lead to peace. And he talked
- 2:57Speaker 4: about striking Iranian nuclear facility. These he talked about the
- 3:01Speaker 4: relationship with the military between the US and Israel, and
- 3:04Speaker 4: he was very clear that if you commit these kinds
- 3:07Speaker 4: of terrorism acts, you will be crushed. But if you
- 3:10Speaker 4: come to us with peace, we will have open arms
- 3:13Speaker 4: for you. And he reached out to Iran. He said,
- 3:15Speaker 4: we are waiting for you as well. You could be next.
- 3:18Speaker 4: You know, he says, we know a lot of he
- 3:20Speaker 4: knows a lot of Iranians back home, and this is
- 3:22Speaker 4: their moment to have come to the table, though he
- 3:25Speaker 4: did then tell Steve Whitkoff that perhaps they should deal
- 3:28Speaker 4: with Russia and Ukraine first before then moving on to
- 3:31Speaker 4: deal with Iran. But for President Trump, this really was
- 3:34Speaker 4: a sign that, look, this is one of the worst
- 3:36Speaker 4: conflicts that we've seen. It has been brutal, and he
- 3:38Speaker 4: brought all the side to the table and that very
- 3:41Speaker 4: few other politicians can do that the way President Trump
- 3:43Speaker 4: has done that, and I think he sees there are
- 3:45Speaker 4: more opportunities in the future. So an incredible speech, a
- 3:49Speaker 4: speechful of humor, a speech full of incredibly strong messages
- 3:53Speaker 4: to countries who might not agree with him, but a
- 3:56Speaker 4: sign that, look, you can get anything done. And of
- 3:58Speaker 4: course he talked about the team around him that was
- 4:00Speaker 4: able to do that, Jared Kushner, Steve Whitkoff, Secretary of State,
- 4:04Speaker 4: Marco Rubio Pete, hegseeth the Secretary of War now and
- 4:08Speaker 4: what a team can do. And he also talked about
- 4:10Speaker 4: how he managed to bring BB to the table. He said,
- 4:12Speaker 4: I sat down with BB and I told him this
- 4:15Speaker 4: was the time you have now got to do it.
- 4:17Speaker 4: And again just remind us of the influence that he has,
- 4:20Speaker 4: but an incredible speech on an incredible day for Israel
- 4:23Speaker 4: and hopefully an incredible day for the Palestinians who can
- 4:26Speaker 4: move on from Hamas and can build something for the future.
- 4:29Speaker 4: And hopefully that's what we'll see when President Trump goes
- 4:31Speaker 4: to Sharman Shake in Egypt later today and can start
- 4:34Speaker 4: building on the future for more more peace.
- 4:38Speaker 3: And he called out notably Secretary of State Marco Rubio,
- 4:42Speaker 3: said that Marco Rubio was the greatest Secretary of State
- 4:46Speaker 3: in history, but also nodded to the fact that they
- 4:48Speaker 3: were once opponents, and as he as you surveyed all
- 4:52Speaker 3: of those people that he mentioned and gave credit to
- 4:55Speaker 3: for this process, it really kind of comes together as
- 4:59Speaker 3: a team of rio that have come together, you know,
- 5:03Speaker 3: President Trump has managed to bring together. I also thought
- 5:05Speaker 3: it was interesting that a couple of times he named
- 5:07Speaker 3: checked both Presidents Obama and President Biden, and when he
- 5:12Speaker 3: said that spoke disparagingly of both of them, it garnered
- 5:20Speaker 3: an applause in the Knesset.
- 5:24Speaker 4: You know, it's really interesting when you look back at
- 5:26Speaker 4: what former presidents have done, is that they've led the
- 5:29Speaker 4: move towards peace in the region with a sort of
- 5:31Speaker 4: a moral finger waving. And President Trump does it very differently.
- 5:36Speaker 4: He went into region almost with a business mindset, and
- 5:39Speaker 4: he's the first president to kind of do that and
- 5:41Speaker 4: the way that Obama and Ford presidents have not done.
- 5:44Speaker 4: And he went in there and he does it in
- 5:45Speaker 4: the way that region understands as well. Look, his first
- 5:48Speaker 4: foreign visit was to Saudi Arabia UAE. You know, he
- 5:51Speaker 4: knows Katar. He understands how they work, he understands how
- 5:54Speaker 4: Israel works. And he went in there with a very
- 5:56Speaker 4: practical point of view. Let's just re build. It doesn't
- 6:00Speaker 4: matter if we've been at each other throats in the past.
- 6:02Speaker 4: And he said that's wh ran as well. Look, they
- 6:04Speaker 4: recently took out Ranian nuclear facilities. Doesn't mean we can't
- 6:07Speaker 4: now start to build and build for peace. And so yeah,
- 6:10Speaker 4: that is why President Trump has been so different. That's
- 6:12Speaker 4: why he's been able to get this done so quickly
- 6:14Speaker 4: two weeks since this twenty point piece plan came together.
- 6:17Speaker 4: And it's because of the relationships he had, because he
- 6:19Speaker 4: knows the shared values. Really for that region.
- 6:22Speaker 3: It is the future.
- 6:23Speaker 4: It's moving on from oil and gas, it's developing a
- 6:25Speaker 4: future AI driven he said, and all the countries want that,
- 6:28Speaker 4: but to get to that, they've got to deal with
- 6:30Speaker 4: Hamas first. And that's why Qatar, Yue Saudi were all
- 6:34Speaker 4: behind this, pushing Humas as well, and they really seem
- 6:36Speaker 4: to be on side when it looks to the future.
- 6:39Speaker 1: All right, Ben, thank you so much. I'm Steve Doocy,
