Latest / The Paul Barron Crypto Show / Institutional Wake Up Call🚨Why Abtstract Shutdown is Actually Bullish🔥
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Abstract has just become the biggest wake-up call for institutions.
- 0:03Speaker 1: I want to thank our sponsor today, and that is Tangent,
- 0:06Speaker 1: where you guys can get into full self-custody, very easy
- 0:09Speaker 1: to do, your secure crypto hardware wallet. And one of
- 0:13Speaker 1: the things about Tangent that I think a lot of
- 0:15Speaker 1: people misunderstand with self-custody is the ease of use and
- 0:19Speaker 1: also the ease of being able to get this set
- 0:21Speaker 1: up for you. It's like a credit card, works with
- 0:23Speaker 1: your phone, always present. Make sure to get a three-card
- 0:27Speaker 1: set so you've got a backup. But you guys, of course,
- 0:29Speaker 1: can use our link down below. It's going to give
- 0:31Speaker 1: you a 10% discount. And they also have several offers
- 0:34Speaker 1: from time to time. So always check what's going on
- 0:37Speaker 1: over there on the website. This is the self-custody to you.
- 0:41Speaker 1: So make sure and check it out. Tell them we
- 0:43Speaker 1: sent you. We'll get into it today to break all
- 0:45Speaker 1: of this down. As you guys know, the announcement abstract
- 0:48Speaker 1: is winding down and it's happening right now. After almost
- 0:52Speaker 1: three years, they, of course, thrown in the towel. And
- 0:55Speaker 1: there's a lot of reasons why. So one of the
- 0:58Speaker 1: things that happens within these walled gardens is when you
- 1:01Speaker 1: see different tokens that ride within this platform, within this blockchain,
- 1:07Speaker 1: you can see it right here, guys. All of these tokens,
- 1:09Speaker 1: abstract tokens, absolutely getting cooked. And this is what's happening
- 1:13Speaker 1: right now. If you're holding any tokens within there and
- 1:16Speaker 1: you're trying to get out, now you've got to go
- 1:19Speaker 1: into one more step and be able to say, hey, listen,
- 1:23Speaker 1: I'm not going to sue you. It's the last checkmark.
- 1:26Speaker 1: I don't agree with any of these kind of things
- 1:27Speaker 1: in terms of tactics of doing this, but I understand
- 1:30Speaker 1: why it's being done. It's also in a position where
- 1:33Speaker 1: this essentially is is starting to roll into other parts
- 1:37Speaker 1: of the market. And remember, also, this news came out,
- 1:39Speaker 1: Google Cloud shutting down its blockchain node engine. This RPC
- 1:43Speaker 1: happens closing actually on December 15th. So what does this
- 1:47Speaker 1: mean for a lot of other L1s? Well, you've got
- 1:50Speaker 1: Blast also winding down, flipping over to Ethereum. Then, of course,
- 1:54Speaker 1: you've got issues happening right here where the SEC is starting,
- 1:58Speaker 1: and this is where institutions get in. This essentially is
- 2:01Speaker 1: where they're putting these ETFs on ice. And this is
- 2:04Speaker 1: a big problem because Canary, originally, Canary Capital was originally
- 2:08Speaker 1: going to launch the Pengu Fund. Now, of course, that
- 2:12Speaker 1: is all changing. And I think this is something that
- 2:15Speaker 1: will become a major wake-up call for these institutions. And
- 2:18Speaker 1: they're going to start looking at projects much closer when
- 2:22Speaker 1: it comes to things like this. And think about this.
- 2:25Speaker 1: It's not just Canary Capital. I mean, this has been
- 2:27Speaker 1: a lot of different institutions. You had Bitwise, head of Europe,
- 2:31Speaker 1: them going in on it. You had VanEck. Remember, they
- 2:34Speaker 1: were ringing the bell with the Penguin at the New
- 2:38Speaker 1: York Stock Exchange. So when you think about the institutions,
- 2:41Speaker 1: think of it this way, because they're having to talk
- 2:44Speaker 1: to clients about this. This, of course, major news. And
- 2:47Speaker 1: the question is going to come is why would we
- 2:49Speaker 1: get behind an L2 investment? in the beginning, if this
- 2:52Speaker 1: is the kind of potential issues that could happen. And
- 2:55Speaker 1: this has been pretty rampant in terms of institutional. So
- 2:58Speaker 1: I think the wake-up call is coming. Further into this,
- 3:03Speaker 1: you now, if you want to take a look at
- 3:05Speaker 1: all the ecosystem that's centering around this, now saying, hey,
- 3:09Speaker 1: you've got a home over on Robin Hood Chain. You've got,
- 3:12Speaker 1: of course, Starknecht saying, hey, builders and players who now
- 3:15Speaker 1: need a new home, no problem that you're going through this.
- 3:18Speaker 1: We're going to help you. Then you have InkChain going
- 3:21Speaker 1: after abstract friends, saying we welcome you guys into InkChain
- 3:25Speaker 1: projects and builders, holders, traders. You can kind of get
- 3:28Speaker 1: to it. This was a big, big issue that starts
- 3:31Speaker 1: to play out into the rest of the market. So
- 3:33Speaker 1: what I think is going to happen with Luke Annette's first,
- 3:35Speaker 1: I think he is going to kind of ignore a
- 3:37Speaker 1: lot of that FUD that's happening right now on crypto Twitter.
- 3:41Speaker 1: And he's going to go after the chains that are
- 3:44Speaker 1: ready for the agent economy. If you just look at
- 3:47Speaker 1: the agent economy and what is happening right now on
- 3:50Speaker 1: cumulative agent growth, you guys know where this is happening.
- 3:53Speaker 1: This is happening on Ethereum. The new Glamsterdam test ad
- 3:57Speaker 1: comes out. The upgrade is coming in October. This is
- 4:01Speaker 1: one of the factors I think that's going to explode
- 4:03Speaker 1: on Ethereum. You also have Solana already playing into this.
- 4:07Speaker 1: This is, I think, going to be one of the
- 4:08Speaker 1: biggest winners. And Solana is starting a, I think, maybe
- 4:13Speaker 1: a potential here. I don't know for sure if this
- 4:16Speaker 1: would be a good home for Pudgy Penguins, but it
- 4:18Speaker 1: might be. I'm not saying that that would be the case.
- 4:20Speaker 1: But you have to think about the opportunity here. And
- 4:23Speaker 1: imagine when you look at the institutions, what they're looking
- 4:27Speaker 1: at now, which is exactly the same thing. And I
- 4:30Speaker 1: think this is where we're going to go. Imagine also this.
- 4:34Speaker 1: When you look at the gaming economy, and this is
- 4:36Speaker 1: something that has really, I think, fallen on its face
- 4:39Speaker 1: when it comes to the crypto side of things. But
- 4:41Speaker 1: now with AI and what we're seeing with agent builds,
- 4:45Speaker 1: this is starting to change a lot. And this, of course,
- 4:48Speaker 1: was an entire Game Boy example being built from agents
- 4:52Speaker 1: inside of Twitter, where you guys can go out there
- 4:55Speaker 1: and play right there, just tap and move. This is
- 4:58Speaker 1: going to change gaming in general, I think, around how
- 5:01Speaker 1: this plays out. And there's two things to consider here.
- 5:04Speaker 1: You've got one, The agentic economy that's going to help
- 5:07Speaker 1: with not only the gaming component, but also with, I think,
- 5:10Speaker 1: brand development that, of course, is going to be huge
- 5:13Speaker 1: for Pudgy. And I think the other factor is what
- 5:16Speaker 1: you're going to see with the ability to scale at
- 5:20Speaker 1: low cost. And that's where Avalanche is going to come in.
- 5:22Speaker 1: And I'll explain that in a second. One other note
- 5:25Speaker 1: is this right here. This is a good example of
- 5:27Speaker 1: an experiment. Playground is now an experimental gaming platform that
- 5:30Speaker 1: lets you create your own games with zero coding. Vibe
- 5:33Speaker 1: coding is basically coming to life here. And this is
- 5:36Speaker 1: going to, again, get back into the point where we
- 5:38Speaker 1: may see a complete renaissance around gaming. And imagine if
- 5:42Speaker 1: this starts to move also into the blockchain sphere. And
- 5:46Speaker 1: of course, the other platform that could benefit from this
- 5:49Speaker 1: is going to be Avalanche. This is a good example
- 5:52Speaker 1: of what Avalanche is doing right now. When you look
- 5:55Speaker 1: at Avalanche, and just so you know, guys, a subnet
- 5:57Speaker 1: on Avalanche is essentially your own L1. And you can
- 6:01Speaker 1: kind of see this right here where FIFA's in there.
- 6:04Speaker 1: You've got Blaze in there, a handful of them. But
- 6:06Speaker 1: the point is, is that imagine if you're building a game,
- 6:09Speaker 1: you want to be able to kind of control your
- 6:11Speaker 1: own infrastructure. You don't want to be able to fall
- 6:13Speaker 1: prey to something that's happened over on Solana or even
- 6:17Speaker 1: Ethereum because of something blowing up. So you need your
- 6:20Speaker 1: own essential network. And this is where I think Avalanche...
- 6:24Speaker 1: could play into this. So a lot of benefits here.
- 6:27Speaker 1: The Treasury CEO now warning that AI agents might strain
- 6:31Speaker 1: blockchain capacity. This gets back to the point that we've
- 6:33Speaker 1: talked about before. One of the reasons is going to
- 6:36Speaker 1: be this right here. This is the AVAX Treasury CEO
- 6:39Speaker 1: warning that AI agents may strain the blockchain capacity. And
- 6:42Speaker 1: what he said here is he argues that proliferating AI
- 6:46Speaker 1: agents will stress the shared blockchains, making Avalanche's subnet architecture
- 6:51Speaker 1: a competitive advantage over ETH and Solana. So Right there
- 6:54Speaker 1: you go. Avalanche C-chain now supporting ERC 8004. This only
- 6:59Speaker 1: gets bigger because the other thing is that if you
- 7:02Speaker 1: look at this, on launching a validator on Avalanche, this
- 7:07Speaker 1: is super cheap. Every Avalanche validator pays a small monthly
- 7:11Speaker 1: continuous fee in AVAX. So imagine builders out there, because
- 7:15Speaker 1: you think about just where Abstract has come from. There's
- 7:17Speaker 1: a lot of devs out there trying to do something,
- 7:20Speaker 1: and especially in the gaming side of things. And if
- 7:22Speaker 1: you look at how these validators will work, this is
- 7:25Speaker 1: every Avalanche validator pays a small monthly continuous fee in Avalanche.
- 7:29Speaker 1: So it's possible here for startups because when you look
- 7:33Speaker 1: at ETH or Solana, it's kind of expensive to launch
- 7:35Speaker 1: validator on ETH. You're talking about 32 ETH. Solana, also
- 7:39Speaker 1: very expensive. This changes when you go over to AVAX.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Look at this right here. As long as the number
- 7:45Speaker 1: of validators stays below 10,000, it's going to cost 1.33
- 7:47Speaker 1: AVAX per month. AVAX trading, let's say $ 15 right now.
- 7:54Speaker 1: That's $ 20 a month basically to run your own validator.
- 7:58Speaker 1: That is a value that I think Avalanche is going
- 8:00Speaker 1: to get to. Even if Avalanche blows up to $ 100, $ 200,
- 8:05Speaker 1: imagine that being the expense that you have for running
- 8:09Speaker 1: a validator on it. So huge moves here happening in
- 8:11Speaker 1: the market right now. And let's just look here because
- 8:14Speaker 1: you have Avalanche jumping to number 20 right here, flipping Uniswap,
- 8:19Speaker 1: flipping Canton, and SWEI And of course, we're going to
- 8:24Speaker 1: be watching this pretty closely as Avalanche and other chains
- 8:28Speaker 1: are probably going to benefit from this. I'll leave you
- 8:30Speaker 1: with one last thought here, and that is this. Follow
- 8:32Speaker 1: the money. And you look at BlackRock in terms of
- 8:36Speaker 1: distributed asset value on RWA, and take a look at
- 8:39Speaker 1: it right here, guys. They're essentially centering in on three
- 8:44Speaker 1: of the most efficient and probably the least expensive chains
- 8:48Speaker 1: out there and be able to do transactions. You've got Solana, Ethereum,
- 8:51Speaker 1: and Avalanche all positioning. And ETH and Avalanche holding about
- 8:56Speaker 1: the same position in terms of market share. So that
- 8:59Speaker 1: tells me one thing, and that is that if you're
- 9:01Speaker 1: in those three, you're in the right place at the
- 9:03Speaker 1: right time. If you like this video, hit like and subscribe,
