- 0:04Speaker 1: This is Kevin Sports every daily here on Radio Folks
- 0:07Speaker 1: and bringing you the Folkston and Hive Sports Show. On
- 0:18Speaker 1: today's show we have news on local football, rugby, hockey,
- 0:23Speaker 1: for basketball, running and park run venues us, a shout
- 0:29Speaker 1: out for two local runners raising funds for the Aspinall
- 0:32Speaker 1: Foundation by running the London Marathon, and a little mentioned
- 0:40Speaker 1: and happy birthday for nine year old Madison who run
- 0:43Speaker 1: the Benchbury Forest the Junior Run on Sunday. So it's
- 0:54Speaker 1: a bit miserable outside, isn't it a bit miserable and wet?
- 0:58Speaker 1: You need a little pick up, Yeah, a nice little
- 1:02Speaker 1: medication to get you through the day.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Well, how about this Roxy music? Love is the drug?
- 1:30Speaker 1: Roxy music getting the show on the road. Love is
- 1:35Speaker 1: a drug from nineteen seventy five and we all needed
- 1:40Speaker 1: a little bit of a boost that we're a little
- 1:41Speaker 1: shot in the arm. Really, it's miserable outside and it
- 1:44Speaker 1: has been for ages, isn't it. When is the sun?
- 1:47Speaker 1: When does the clocks change? Can't be dominated?
- 1:51Speaker 2: Surely? Okay? So this is.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Kevin Sports Eric daily here on Radio Folks and bringing
- 1:57Speaker 1: you the folks in the Hive Sports Show and full
- 2:00Speaker 1: of sport today and we're going to start off with
- 2:02Speaker 1: football well folks in Victor beat Willing United Too Neil
- 2:07Speaker 1: in front of one four hundred and nineteen spectators, keeping
- 2:11Speaker 1: them top of the Ishmian Premier League by a massive
- 2:14Speaker 1: fourteen points. But they have to keep their noses in
- 2:17Speaker 1: front as they have played two more games than second
- 2:19Speaker 1: place Averly and three more games than fourth place Chatham.
- 2:24Speaker 1: But Brettwood Brentwood the early pacemakers, they are now in
- 2:28Speaker 1: third place. They have played the same amount of games,
- 2:31Speaker 1: but they are still sixteen points behind. So it's all
- 2:36Speaker 1: about Folkston's to lose, isn't it. I mean they've just
- 2:38Speaker 1: got to keep going anyway. Tune in Saturday between ten
- 2:42Speaker 1: and eleven when our man at the match, Ady Dawks,
- 2:45Speaker 1: will be in the chair telling us all about the game.
- 2:48Speaker 1: This Saturday is an away fixture and they've got to
- 2:52Speaker 1: go to Lewis, which means a trip near Brighton and
- 2:55Speaker 1: Lewis are currently eleventh. Meanwhile Hidetown so nearly gained that
- 3:01Speaker 1: point they really desperately need under new manager Andy Drury.
- 3:05Speaker 1: When they went down one nill away against Hollins and
- 3:08Speaker 1: Blair conceding the solitary goal in the ninety first minute.
- 3:13Speaker 1: They now have just twelve games left to get themselves
- 3:15Speaker 1: out of that relegation zone and it's another super tough
- 3:19Speaker 1: game on Saturday when they traveled to a second place
- 3:22Speaker 1: a Larkefield and New Height.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Well, with the amount of rain we've.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Been having recently, it's no surprise the home game at
- 3:29Speaker 1: New Romney was postponed and I couldn't find a result
- 3:32Speaker 1: for Hawkins away against nodling Town Reserves, so I assume
- 3:35Speaker 1: that was called off as well.
- 3:37Speaker 2: It seems that these.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Artificial pitchers are really reaping the rewards, aren't they when
- 3:42Speaker 1: it comes to the weather. You know, we've just had
- 3:44Speaker 1: so much rain lately and marred the grass for they
- 3:49Speaker 1: no chance of getting a game on when it's been
- 3:51Speaker 1: like it has been just recently. Anyway, they're both going
- 3:54Speaker 1: to try again this week. New Romney are at home
- 3:57Speaker 1: to Cuxton nineteen and ninety one FC and Hawkins are
- 4:01Speaker 1: our way to Canterbury City. I want a bit of
- 4:04Speaker 1: basketball news now. A couple of results from the focused
- 4:07Speaker 1: on Saints basketball club. The under sixteen eighteen beat Essex
- 4:11Speaker 1: Charge by eighty three points two fifty eight and the
- 4:14Speaker 1: under fourteens beat Sussex Storm by ninety one points to
- 4:18Speaker 1: fifty eight.
- 4:19Speaker 2: So there we go. So let's see.
- 4:21Speaker 1: What's on the playlist now. Oh and this is a
- 4:23Speaker 1: chirpy one. This is sure and believe.
- 4:41Speaker 2: No matter how hard. There you go. That's Nina Simone.
- 5:00Speaker 2: There Ain't Got No.
- 5:01Speaker 1: And that's a kind of a remix because that was
- 5:04Speaker 1: released in two thousand and six.
- 5:06Speaker 2: But do you know when the original was released?
- 5:09Speaker 1: Yeah, well I'll tell you nineteen sixty eight, nearly forty
- 5:13Speaker 1: years ago.
- 5:14Speaker 2: On my word, do you remember that?
- 5:16Speaker 1: I do?
- 5:17Speaker 2: Showing me age?
- 5:17Speaker 1: Now, Okay, time for some running news now. Well, having
- 5:23Speaker 1: on the Micah two running races recently, the first one
- 5:26Speaker 1: was in the in Canterbury at the Canterbury ten.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Now that was a really interesting day because.
- 5:32Speaker 1: It was a new headquarters at the Canterbury University and
- 5:36Speaker 1: a brand new route one. Five hundred and twenty four
- 5:39Speaker 1: runners completed the new course on what was a very
- 5:42Speaker 1: successful morning organized by Glen Moseley and Nicky Old with
- 5:46Speaker 1: the help of many of their enthusiastic members of the
- 5:48Speaker 1: Invictor Is Kent Athletics Club. Fifty two members of the
- 5:52Speaker 1: Folkston Club crossed the line with Nick Steel, Simon Ramsay,
- 5:56Speaker 1: and Henry Axson leading the men home and leading the
- 5:59Speaker 1: late his home was Nikki Goodwin, Carrie Thomas and Kaparine O'Connor.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Special mentions goes to Christoph Klitzier, who was the first
- 6:08Speaker 1: in the men's VETT sixty category, with several runners loving
- 6:12Speaker 1: the new course and achieving personal best times. Twelve South
- 6:17Speaker 1: Kent Harriers also took part, and big congratulations go to
- 6:21Speaker 1: Marie Watson. Not only was she back in a pebe time,
- 6:25Speaker 1: she was the first runner home for the club and
- 6:28Speaker 1: she won a prize for being the first in a
- 6:30Speaker 1: female Vet fifty five age category. So quite a morning
- 6:34Speaker 1: for Marie and I love calling in Marie at races.
- 6:37Speaker 1: She always gives me a big smile and a big wave,
- 6:40Speaker 1: so I'm glad she got some real credit there on
- 6:42Speaker 1: that day. Special mentioning must also go to Mike Hayley,
- 6:47Speaker 1: who was third in the Now listen to this. He
- 6:50Speaker 1: was third in the men's Vet seventy plus category and
- 6:54Speaker 1: one achievement.
- 6:56Speaker 2: How good is that? What I Mike?
- 6:58Speaker 1: So it was an excellent morning, conditions were dry and
- 7:01Speaker 1: not too cold, and for a first time race, I
- 7:04Speaker 1: think it was so successful myself. Good vibe about the place.
- 7:09Speaker 1: The weather was really dry, not too cold, so pretty
- 7:12Speaker 1: good running conditions for all the runners, and not like
- 7:16Speaker 1: my second race at Bedgebury Park last Sunday. The day
- 7:19Speaker 1: started well enough for nice and dry as we set up,
- 7:22Speaker 1: but not long into this five and ten mile race,
- 7:24Speaker 1: the heaven's opened.
- 7:26Speaker 2: And everybody got soaked.
- 7:28Speaker 1: I had to feel for the ten mile runners because
- 7:29Speaker 1: it is like if you can picture a two lap
- 7:32Speaker 1: course and they have to go through the five mile
- 7:34Speaker 1: finish point in the pouring rain, knowing they had another
- 7:38Speaker 1: five miles to go. However, with a total of four
- 7:41Speaker 1: hundred and sixty six runners, I didn't hear too many grumbles.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Now, this one is a bit of a slog away.
- 7:47Speaker 1: It's over an hour's drive and not many local runners
- 7:50Speaker 1: traveled to this one, but it's a stunning set in
- 7:54Speaker 1: the course taking view on trials through the forest. But
- 7:58Speaker 1: one family from folks did make the effort was the
- 8:01Speaker 1: Heart family. That's mum Lauren, dad Sam and children Madison
- 8:05Speaker 1: and Wren. Madison and now Madison is complete. She has
- 8:09Speaker 1: completed more than fifty part runs and celebrated her ninth
- 8:14Speaker 1: birthday just a few days before she ran in the
- 8:16Speaker 1: junior race, and I must say she looked remarkably fresh
- 8:20Speaker 1: when she finished.
- 8:21Speaker 2: So what done to you? Madison?
- 8:23Speaker 1: Happy birthday? So we've got to play this one for you,
- 8:25Speaker 1: haven't we? Here we go altered images. Happy Birthday Madison.
- 9:03Speaker 1: So that's for Madison there.
- 9:05Speaker 2: It was their birthday. It was last week, but we
- 9:08Speaker 2: get a chance to play that. Why not? Now?
- 9:13Speaker 1: The Heart family love running and they've designed this scheme
- 9:17Speaker 1: called the Plod Squad.
- 9:18Speaker 2: So I'm just going to read out a little bit
- 9:21Speaker 2: about it. What they do.
- 9:22Speaker 1: It's a slow and leisurely paced running group designed to
- 9:24Speaker 1: get people of all ages, sizes, and genders and abilities running.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Days and times vary it as family and work life
- 9:32Speaker 1: are factored in. Come along and prove yourself and others
- 9:36Speaker 1: that you can run. We've got kids that join alongside
- 9:39Speaker 1: parents running or they're on scooters or bikes. It makes
- 9:44Speaker 1: it easily accessible for busy parents to come along with
- 9:47Speaker 1: your friends as well. And it's time to pull the
- 9:49Speaker 1: finger out and get things going. This year, it's going
- 9:52Speaker 1: to see the plot scord covering bigger distances and challenges.
- 9:55Speaker 1: The group will still remain true to itself by staying
- 9:58Speaker 1: at a steady enough pace for people of all ages
- 10:01Speaker 1: and abilities. Now, this could be an amazing chance for
- 10:04Speaker 1: people to challenge themselves and or prove to themselves that
- 10:07Speaker 1: they can run. And all it takes is that first step.
- 10:11Speaker 1: So what you're waiting for, Come on and give it
- 10:13Speaker 1: a go. And they are going to meet this Saturday
- 10:16Speaker 1: at ten point thirty outside the Leescliff Hall. So you know,
- 10:20Speaker 1: if you really want to take dip your toes in
- 10:22Speaker 1: the water. The plot scored is an absolutely perfect idea,
- 10:27Speaker 1: absolutely no pressure. Bring the kids, bring the scooters and
- 10:30Speaker 1: the buggies and just stretch those legs and get some
- 10:34Speaker 1: fresh air in them lungs. Okay, So now it's time
- 10:37Speaker 1: to find out where some of our local park runners
- 10:40Speaker 1: venture to on last Saturday.
- 10:42Speaker 2: And what I'm particularly.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Looking for is the venues that are away from the
- 10:46Speaker 1: usual places around here. Well, we start with a country
- 10:49Speaker 1: I've never mentioned before. Nick Steele found himself at the
- 10:53Speaker 1: hope I've got this right, the love Stein Park Run
- 10:56Speaker 1: in Bergen, which is on the west coast of Norway. No,
- 11:00Speaker 1: it's not a very big park run, just forty one runners,
- 11:03Speaker 1: but Nick did finish and he came second. So word
- 11:06Speaker 1: unto you, Nick kay Evans found her park runner Bethlee
- 11:10Speaker 1: Mo Royal Hospital which is just in Beckenham, that had
- 11:13Speaker 1: eighty four runners and Caroline Curtis along with two hundred
- 11:17Speaker 1: and seventy five other runners, where she took part in
- 11:20Speaker 1: the Whitecliffe Lake Park Run, which is just off the
- 11:23Speaker 1: A two in Ebbsfleet. Now, if you've ever found a
- 11:26Speaker 1: park run in an obscure place it's never been mentioned,
- 11:29Speaker 1: it's off the radar, then please let me know and
- 11:32Speaker 1: I will share your story. Okay, So now the next
- 11:36Speaker 1: song I was. I was in a car the other
- 11:39Speaker 1: day and this come on, and I thought, you know what,
- 11:41Speaker 1: I haven't heard this one for ages. I've got civis
- 11:43Speaker 1: in the playlist and sure enough it is, and I
- 11:46Speaker 1: just love playing this one. I'll go straight. My mind
- 11:48Speaker 1: goes straight to the little cheesy black and white video
- 11:52Speaker 1: of Dinah Ross, which turns into color as she sings
- 11:56Speaker 1: the song that is known as a Shane reaction.
- 12:00Speaker 2: It gets your dancing shoes on.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Come on, liven up that office, quick, buzz around the computers.
- 12:25Speaker 2: As Dinah Ross there Jane reactions.
- 12:29Speaker 1: And you know I've been hooked on the watching top
- 12:33Speaker 1: of the Pops. Yeah, the archives it just goes back
- 12:37Speaker 1: to back hours and hours of them, which is from
- 12:42Speaker 1: sixties to the seventies to the eighties. And I heard
- 12:45Speaker 1: this one and I thought, I have not heard this
- 12:47Speaker 1: one for absolutely ages, and believe it or not, it's
- 12:50Speaker 1: on the playlist. This is from nineteen sixty nine, Joe
- 12:53Speaker 1: South and the games people play, Joe South. There games
- 13:14Speaker 1: people play. And like I say, I was watching Top
- 13:18Speaker 1: of the Pops. I just randomly clicked onto it, actually,
- 13:22Speaker 1: and I looked across the playlist and it was like
- 13:26Speaker 1: back to back, wall to wall Top of the Pops
- 13:28Speaker 1: and it just kept jumping from the decades, you know.
- 13:31Speaker 1: I mean that one was from nineteen sixty nine, and
- 13:34Speaker 1: then it had jump up to like nineteen eighty five,
- 13:36Speaker 1: and then back to the nineteen seventy four and so
- 13:39Speaker 1: on and so on, and.
- 13:41Speaker 2: It became a bit addictive, you know.
- 13:43Speaker 1: I mean, there was some really awful songs on it,
- 13:46Speaker 1: and it did make you chuckle though, because they went
- 13:48Speaker 1: through a stage where some of the groups they were
- 13:52Speaker 1: called it lip sinking, didn't they But really it was
- 13:55Speaker 1: Miami and they were playing all these heavy electric guitars,
- 13:58Speaker 1: but they weren't plugged in and there was no amplifiers
- 14:02Speaker 1: or anything. Oh, it was just so cheesy, but that
- 14:07Speaker 1: was it was growing up. And the funny thing was
- 14:09Speaker 1: that some of the really old songs that you played,
- 14:13Speaker 1: it was just after a little while, he thought.
- 14:15Speaker 2: I haven't known this for years, but you remembered all
- 14:17Speaker 2: the words. What was that like?
- 14:18Speaker 1: Some of the songs that you grew up with, You know,
- 14:20Speaker 1: they just stick in your brain, didn't they. Okay, so
- 14:23Speaker 1: let's do a bit of sport. Now we do a
- 14:24Speaker 1: bit of rugby, well, folks and rugby club. It was
- 14:28Speaker 1: cup weekend for the first and the second fifteen's last Saturday.
- 14:32Speaker 1: The first fifteen had an early start as they had
- 14:34Speaker 1: a twelve and midday kickoff and a journey to play
- 14:38Speaker 1: Ditchlin Rugby Club, which is very close to Brighton.
- 14:41Speaker 2: But the trip was.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Worthwhile as they won the match by fifty four points
- 14:45Speaker 1: to twenty six. However, the ground at Ditchlin was unplayable
- 14:49Speaker 1: and the venue was switched to Horsham Rugby Club, which
- 14:52Speaker 1: wasn't quite so far so a bit of a result
- 14:55Speaker 1: all around there for folks. Now this game is the
- 14:58Speaker 1: first time I've heard this. I'm not sure if I'm
- 15:00Speaker 1: a little bit out of touch. But this game was
- 15:02Speaker 1: live streamed back to the Folkstone Clubhouse and apparently it
- 15:05Speaker 1: was a great success, so there's something for the future.
- 15:08Speaker 1: An afternoon in front of the big screen, and if
- 15:10Speaker 1: you've ever been up the rugby club, it is a
- 15:13Speaker 1: big screen, it's not the size of a house is massive,
- 15:16Speaker 1: and so it'd be a good afternoon having a few
- 15:19Speaker 1: beers watching your local rugby club at away games. The Seconds, however,
- 15:24Speaker 1: had a quiet afternoon in the end. They were due
- 15:26Speaker 1: to play at home to park House in the Kent Cup,
- 15:28Speaker 1: but the result goes down as an HWO which is
- 15:32Speaker 1: a home walkover as it looks like park House couldn't
- 15:35Speaker 1: feel a sight. The First fifteen don't have a fixture
- 15:38Speaker 1: now until the fourteenth of February when they're away to
- 15:41Speaker 1: Sidcup and on the same day the Seconds are at
- 15:44Speaker 1: home to a Whitstable. Whoever, the Ladies team, who are
- 15:47Speaker 1: second in their league, have an away fixture on Sunday
- 15:50Speaker 1: this Sunday against Beccahamian Ladies which means a trip to
- 15:53Speaker 1: a west of Wickham in Kent. And I want to
- 15:56Speaker 1: thank first team over Callum Palmieri for helping me out
- 16:00Speaker 1: with this report and we had a little chat by
- 16:02Speaker 1: a text uring the week and he kept me up
- 16:05Speaker 1: to date as to what was going on. So coming
- 16:08Speaker 1: up now from where we're coming up the years now
- 16:10Speaker 1: two thousand and five. This is Katie Tunstall and the
- 16:14Speaker 1: other side of the world, Katie's Dunstall. The other side
- 16:31Speaker 1: of the world, that's Australia in it. Okay, time for
- 16:35Speaker 1: some a lot, in fact, a lot of hockey news now.
- 16:37Speaker 1: They have such a big club and I do try
- 16:39Speaker 1: to cover all the teams. It's not really fair just
- 16:41Speaker 1: to cover the first teams every week, so we're trying
- 16:45Speaker 1: and get through all the teams.
- 16:46Speaker 2: That played last week.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Okay, let's start with the men's and the men's first
- 16:50Speaker 1: team or sadly they lost three nil to Horsham. The
- 16:54Speaker 1: men's second team they were the same. They lost three
- 16:57Speaker 1: nil to Blackheath. However, the men's third team they beat
- 17:01Speaker 1: Hulcombe three to one. Goals coming from oh for my
- 17:03Speaker 1: guests of the show, Sam Island, Phil Kings he got
- 17:07Speaker 1: one and Alex Bishard he got one. Men's fourth team
- 17:10Speaker 1: they beat her and Bay three to two. Kyle Mackett
- 17:13Speaker 1: scored twice and Johnny Benson got the third. The men's
- 17:17Speaker 1: fifth team they beat k Sports four nil, the goal
- 17:20Speaker 1: shared out between Paul Andrews, Ben Taylor, Josh Britten and
- 17:25Speaker 1: tender Nieker.
- 17:26Speaker 2: I hope I got that right.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Tender Men's sixteen they drew two all with Seven Oaks
- 17:31Speaker 1: as Steve Rowe and Logan Charman getting the goals. The
- 17:35Speaker 1: men's seventh team they won two nil against Canterbury Friars,
- 17:40Speaker 1: s i'm A Baker and Matt Goodwin getting one each.
- 17:43Speaker 1: But the men's eighth team, their game against burn Ash
- 17:46Speaker 1: was postponed the Ladies. Now the Ladies first team was
- 17:50Speaker 1: they are going from strength to strength. They must still
- 17:53Speaker 1: be top of the table. They beat seven Oaks three nil,
- 17:56Speaker 1: two goals from Livy Sheep and one from Becka shaw Ady.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Second team and sadly they lost to nil against Maidstone
- 18:03Speaker 1: and the thirdeam they lost to Neil against gored Court.
- 18:07Speaker 1: The Ladies fourth team they beat BBHC two Neil. Now
- 18:11Speaker 1: I look this up every single time I mentioned this
- 18:13Speaker 1: club BBHC. It stands for Bexley, Heath and Belvedere, Natalie
- 18:18Speaker 1: Harvey and Sarah Cheesman getting the goals. Ladies fifteen they
- 18:22Speaker 1: drew one all with a seven Oaks at Justine Stevens
- 18:25Speaker 1: getting the solitary goal and finally the ladies sixteen they
- 18:30Speaker 1: beat Sitting Born a four nil goals coming from Janet Fuller,
- 18:34Speaker 1: Edith Kent, Joe Craig and Vicki Stafford. So some of
- 18:39Speaker 1: it all up, I do a little sort of stats
- 18:42Speaker 1: recap and this well, last week they played thirteen games.
- 18:47Speaker 1: They won seven, they drew two, they lost four, They
- 18:51Speaker 1: scored twenty four goals and they conceded sixteen. So all
- 18:56Speaker 1: in all, over all those thirteen games, that's not a
- 18:58Speaker 1: bad weekend. So once again, a big thank you to
- 19:02Speaker 1: the media guru that is former guest of the show,
- 19:06Speaker 1: Amy Bumpstead. She does such a wonderful job. Sure enough
- 19:09Speaker 1: on Monday morning, all this information was in my inbox
- 19:13Speaker 1: on Monday morning on thirteen teams.
- 19:15Speaker 2: She does have a busy weekend. Okay, so now it's
- 19:18Speaker 2: time for a bit of Robbie and a bit of
- 19:22Speaker 2: You've got it Rock DJ with the foreshow kicking with
- 19:30Speaker 2: your tour, so boys getting high and the girls even
- 19:33Speaker 2: more sol wa your hands. If you're not with the man,
- 19:36Speaker 2: can I kick it?
- 19:42Speaker 1: But ever go Rock DJ Robbie Williams. He's been a
- 19:46Speaker 1: bit quite late, isn't he?
- 19:47Speaker 2: But there you go. Can't go on forever, can they?
- 19:49Speaker 2: Let's basic?
- 19:52Speaker 1: Okay, time for now a bit of junior indoor balls news.
- 19:58Speaker 2: Mums and dads.
- 19:59Speaker 1: If you have a daughter or a sun or no
- 20:01Speaker 1: anybody between the ages of seven and eighteen, then why
- 20:04Speaker 1: not take them along and try indoor bowls at the
- 20:06Speaker 1: Folkston Club situated in between in Victor Ground and Morrison's.
- 20:11Speaker 1: It's on a Saturday between five thirty and seven pm
- 20:15Speaker 1: and the first session is free. Now for more information

- 20:28Speaker 1: session is free, so just check out the Folkston Bulls

- 20:35Speaker 2: And I'll tell you what. When you go inside it.
- 20:37Speaker 1: You'll go through the door, you go through a little
- 20:39Speaker 1: corridor and you'll open up the next door and it
- 20:43Speaker 1: is like absolutely massive. You can't believe how you've driven
- 20:48Speaker 1: past it so many times and never been in there.
- 20:50Speaker 2: It is huge. It just takes your breath away. It
- 20:54Speaker 2: really does. Okay.
- 20:56Speaker 1: So moving on now, two local runners, Ron Bell and
- 20:59Speaker 1: Greg Dixon are running the London Marathon supporting the Aspinall
- 21:03Speaker 1: Foundation in conjunction with how It's Wild Animal Park. They're
- 21:07Speaker 1: raising money for the foundation who work to return endangered
- 21:11Speaker 1: animals back to their natural environment. So if you can
- 21:15Speaker 1: help Ron or Greg then they both got just giving
- 21:18Speaker 1: pages on their Facebook pages. Just contact Ron Bell or
- 21:22Speaker 1: Greg Dixon And if you don't want to run a marathon,
- 21:25Speaker 1: and you know in September you can actually run around
- 21:29Speaker 1: the grounds of the Wild Animal Park. And I used
- 21:32Speaker 1: to get told of when I first used to go
- 21:34Speaker 1: up there. It's not a zoo, Kevin. This, it's not
- 21:37Speaker 1: a zoo, it's a wild animal park. So the natural
- 21:41Speaker 1: fact nicework dot org on their website they have a
- 21:44Speaker 1: race around the around the actual perimeter, not perimeter, around
- 21:49Speaker 1: the inside of the of the grounds before it's open
- 21:52Speaker 1: to the public. And so it's like a brilliant way
- 21:56Speaker 1: to see it an actual fact. You see, it's wise
- 21:58Speaker 1: because you go around twice.
- 21:59Speaker 2: A few couple of.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Cheeky slopes in there, but it is really is a
- 22:03Speaker 1: buzzy day. We normally have a great, big, warm up
- 22:06Speaker 1: and there's just a I don't know. It's a unique event,
- 22:10Speaker 1: really a unique five k run. So check out nice
- 22:14Speaker 1: work dot org. Okay, now, this is what I need,
- 22:17Speaker 1: is what you need? And I think everybody needs. They
- 22:19Speaker 1: all need a dollar.
- 22:40Speaker 2: I love black.
- 22:40Speaker 1: They are two thy and eleven. He needs a dollar,
- 22:45Speaker 1: don't we all right? Okay, so we're heading onto the
- 22:53Speaker 1: or towards the end of the show now, so I
- 22:55Speaker 1: want to get this in. I want to wish good
- 22:57Speaker 1: luck to Garrett Wilson's Folks and Invictor Disability foot team
- 23:00Speaker 1: who on Sunday, the eighth of February, that's this Sunday
- 23:03Speaker 1: head off to Faversham School to take part in the
- 23:06Speaker 1: Kent Disability League seven A side tournament.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Now.
- 23:09Speaker 1: The set up consists of the top division known as
- 23:12Speaker 1: the Premiership, then Division one down to Division five.
- 23:16Speaker 2: Now.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Garrent was our guest last week and he told us
- 23:19Speaker 1: he has two teams, one at top of Division one
- 23:22Speaker 1: out of six teams and one in Division two currently
- 23:26Speaker 1: fifth out of six teams. The games are just nine
- 23:29Speaker 1: minutes long without a half time break and during the
- 23:32Speaker 1: course of the day they all get to play each other,
- 23:34Speaker 1: meaning that each team gets to play a total of
- 23:37Speaker 1: five games. So there really is a full on day,
- 23:40Speaker 1: isn't it, you know, and trying to fit in all
- 23:42Speaker 1: those fixtures. So good luck to both in Victor teams.
- 23:46Speaker 1: We'll be looking out for your results. Okay, so we're
